We're strangers now.
It's strange
To pass you by on the street,
When last year you would bathe me in kisses.

Found this poem from the 13th century after spending an hour researching translations of Leviticus 18:22:
"Had the son of Amram seen the face of my beloved reddened from the foolishness of liquor, and the beauty of his extremities and the majesty of his beauty, he would not have written in his Torah: 'and with a man do not lie'."
We will persist🥰

Like being a woman, like being a racial, religious, tribal, or ethnic minority, being LGBT does not make you less human. And that is why gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights.
—Hillary Clinton

Quote
The days that I feel most beautiful are the days that I am most afraid. They tell us to “be ourselves,” but if you listen closely, there’s more to that sentence: “. . . until you make them uncomfortable.”
Alok Vaid-Menon, in their book “Beyond the Gender Binary”

All the pain means nothing when I'm with you,
But what happens when you hurt me?
What do I have left, then?

If we're saying, 'No, we're not confused; no, we're not promiscuous; no, we're not greedy,' then we accept that it's wrong to be confused, it's wrong to be greedy, it's wrong to be promiscuous. And I want to ask, why do we have to work by their rules?
The problem isn't promiscuity- it's patriarchy, which vilifies sex and dismisses non-monogamy. The issue isn't confusion- it's binaries, which encourages us to make finite decisions (usually between two constructs that we never got to choose in the first place). The problem isn't being greedy- it's that systems function better when we don't demand what we deserve.
As it turns out I'm not straight. I am not gay. The only thing I am is a threat. Because now I understand that bisexuality isn't just an identity- it's a lens through which to reimagine our world. This book is about desire- sexual desire, yes, but also the desire to exist beyond the strict boxes that social expectations try to put us in.
Greedy; Notes from a Bisexual Who Wants too Much
