Note: Now, I know in my master list I said that right now I would only be writing for the Slytherin Boys......but I have spiraled back into my Call of Duty, specifically Ghost. Now this is just an experiment, I don't know how this will go over but if you guys like it then maybeeee I'll post my other fandom fics that I have.
Also! This is a birthday gift for my beautiful gem, @slytherinslut0 , so everyone thank her and wish her a happy birthday. As always, @cafekitsune is on the banner.

Taskforce 141 didn’t pay any attention when they were told that they would have a new nurse on the base. They assumed it would be another male, just like everyone who got employed here.
So, only one could imagine their shock when the base’s doctor, Dr. Moscaw, introduced a pretty little thing like you to the team.
“This is Y/N. She will work under me. Your first point of contact for anything medical-wise.” Moscaw spoke, “Don’t go scaring her off, boys.”
There were grumbles and protests as Dr. Moscaw left you with the team. You cleared your throat as you gave them all a nervous smile. All their eyes were on you, surveying you almost like prey. A certain man with a skull mask being the most intense one. “Um, right. You all desperately need an annual check-up. So, whenever you all have a moment, please stop by the medical ward. I would love to update your records and meet you all.”
Before any of them could say anything, you had scurried off.
Over the next few weeks, they all came in one by one. Introducing themselves as you went through updating their records.
First came Captain Price. You liked to think that he came in to lead by example and not to get out of his mountain of paperwork. Then Kyle came in the next day. He begged you to call him “Gaz”, saying that nobody on base ever calls him Kyle.
Not long after Gaz came, Johnny waltzed into your office. He was flirty but overall friendly. Johnny, just like Gaz, begged you to call him Soap like everyone else. He was the one who referred to you as a breath of fresh air amidst the testosterone-filled air. Often, he and Gaz came to your office. They always claimed to be checking up on you, but you knew it was because they were hiding from their duties.
“Where is…. um, Ghost? Or is his name Simon? It’s two first names on this file.” You asked, furrowing your eyebrows at the lack of information in his records. Soap chuckled, glancing up from his phone to you. “Ghost is the name he’s gonna give ‘ya. It’s the name that we all know him by.”
“A field name, I assume?” You asked, looking up from your computer. Gaz and Soap nodded. “Yep. His name for plenty of reasons, but that’s neither here nor there.” Gaz waved his hand dismissively.
“Well, is he going to come in for a check-up? He doesn’t have another doctor or anything listed.” You sighed. “His medical record is empty. There is nothing on here, other than his name and height. No birthday, no past medication history, nothing.”
“Of course, that’s all that’s on there. That’s all anyone knows about him.” Soap laughed. “He’s not gonna come in here for a check-up.”
“What? Why not?” You asked, closing your computer.
“Too much information.” Gaz shrugged. “Nobody knows anything about him. It’s a shocker that he even allowed his real name to be on those records.”
“So, nobody knows if this guy even goes to the doctor?” You threw your hands up in exasperation. “That’s insane.”
“Ya may be right, but that means nothing to Ghost.” Soap said.
“And insane is basically his middle name. The man does whatever he wants.” Gaz added.
“Do you think he will come in if I just ask?” You pondered to the men.
Gaz and Soap glanced at each other before shrugging. “If you bat those pretty eyelashes at any man on this base, they’ll be eating out the palm of your hand,” Soap said.
“But Ghost isn’t like the average man. He’s not easily swayed like most.” Gaz added, “But I mean, it won’t hurt to try.”
With the encouragement from Gaz and Soap to just try to ask him, you spent the next few weeks attempting to track Ghost down. Unfortunately for you, he lived up to his name very well. It was like every time you went looking for him, everyone had “just seen him.”
Eventually, you found him, by pure coincidence. You were walking to your car, getting ready to leave the base for the day when your eyes landed on a 6’4, muscular man who donned a skull balaclava. You hadn’t seen him since the day that Price had introduced you to the team. He seemed bigger and a bit more intimidating than before, but your determination outweighed your nervousness.
You walked up to him, clearing your throat. Ghost stopped fiddling with his motorcycle to drag his eyes up to your face. His eyes were dark and analytical as he scanned your face before tracing down your body. You felt self-conscious of his wondering gaze.
“Whatcha ‘ya want?” His voice was deep, his accent coming out heavier than you thought it was.
“Um, I’m the new nurse.” You squeaked out before clearing your throat.
“I know.”
“Right.” You took a deep breath. “Your medical records are empty and you’re the only one who hasn’t come in for a check-up.”
There was a brief silence between you two as you waited for him to say something, anything. When you got the hint that he wasn’t going to say anything, you decided to just push forward and ask.
“Will you come in for one? And maybe introduce yourself a little more?”
Ghost stared at you a little longer before turning back to his motorcycle. “No.”
Your eyes widened at the blatant refusal. You raised your eyebrow, crossing your arms. “What do you mean ‘no’?”
“Do ‘ya not know what ‘no’ means? Aren’t ‘ya educated?” Ghost grunted; his back still turned to you.
“You can’t just…. You must fill out these records somehow!”
“No, I don’t.”
You narrowed your eyes at Ghost, huffing slightly. “It’s mandatory to at least get an annual check-up.”
“So, I’ve heard. Don’t care.” He spoke again, throwing one leg over the motorcycle. He started it up, gripping the handles. His eyes focused on your face again as he revved the engine.
“But-”
Before you could even think about responding, Ghost had sped off, leaving you in the dust.
Tumblr media
“And he just sped off?” Soap laughed. Gaz smacked his arm, giving you an apologetic look.
“Ignore Soap. He has a terrible sense of humor.” Gaz rolled his eyes. “But we told you he was hard to sway.”
“I just don’t understand why he doesn’t want to come in.” You groaned, “Maybe he just doesn’t want to get to know me?”
“It’s Ghost, you aren’t supposed to understand him.” Gaz shrugged. “But I doubt it’s you that he’s against.”
You let another groan, causing the two men to chuckle.
“Hell, Darlin’, you might just make the man nervous as hell. As you can see, we don’t have many pretty females around here.” Soap leaned back in his chair, grinning at you.
“Me? Make Ghost nervous? Please.” You raised an eyebrow, rolling your eyes. Soap shrugged, “You never know, he could be.”
“You never know,” Gaz said, agreeing with Soap.
“Whatever.” You muttered, ending the conversation.
Weeks had passed and Ghost gave no sign of even considering stepping into the medical ward or trying to talk to you. He evaded you any chance he got. You told Dr. Moscaw and Price about the predicament with Ghost. Both waved it off and said, “He’s Ghost, that’s just how he is.
When your official first three months of working on the base had come around, Soap and Gaz had invited you out to the bar to celebrate.
“It’ll be everyone. Cap, Laswell, König, hell, even Ghost said he would come.” Soap smiled at you. You scoffed slightly at the revelation that Ghost was going to show his masked face at the bar. “Are we sure he’s coming for me, or rather, the drinks?” You asked, your eyes focused on the computer screen in front of you.
Gaz chuckled. “He refused to go until we said it was a celebration for you.”
“Funny that the man that evades me wants to come to my celebration.” You muttered.
“You know, he’s probably around you more than you think,” Soap said, causing you to look up at him with a raised eyebrow. Soap shrugged, continuing, “I mean, he’s known for being around without others knowing, hence the name Ghost.”
“Like he sees me, but I don’t see him?” You asked. Soap and Gaz nodded.
“Think of it like he is collecting information on you. The poor guy lives and breathes our missions and the military. It’s all he knows. It works with the idea that you make the man nervous.” Gaz said, patting your back as he and Soap filed out of your office.
Gaz’s and Soap’s words stuck to you. Maybe you had gone about approaching Ghost all wrong. He was quieter than Gaz and Soap and obviously more secretive, given the blank medical record and the mask. Maybe you should let him approach you, let him feel you out to see if you’re trustworthy or not.
Tumblr media
When the night of the celebration rolled around, you promised yourself that you would not pester Ghost. Despite the growing need to get to know him and your nursing instincts to make sure he was healthy; you were going to let him come to you.
You walked into the bar, tugging slightly at your dress that rose from sitting in the taxi. Your black mini dress hugged your curves and had a low neckline that showed off your cleavage with your matching strappy heels. Although Soap and Gaz had to you to come dressed up, you debated calling the taxi back and going home to change. You were going to be with your co-workers, who were most likely going to be in jeans.
You sighed, pushing open the door to the bar. Your eyes snapped over to the large table in the back of the bar where all your coworkers sat. “Y/N!” Gaz yelled, jumping up from his seat. He grabbed your arm, escorting you to the table. Everyone shot you a smile, except König and Ghost, who both donned a balaclava. Although, you could tell from the crinkle in König’s eyes that he was smiling at you.
“The guest of honor is finally here.” Laswell smiled at you. “Congratulations on sticking it out at the base for three months. I must admit, I thought these boys would scare you away by now.”
“No, I’m tougher than I look.” You joked, “Plus, everyone is nice. I felt welcomed.”
Gaz and Soap gave Ghost an unmistakable side eye that you caught, and if you caught it, then everyone at the table caught it. You also didn’t miss the narrowed eyes that Ghost gave back to Gaz and Soap.
“A round of shots! For our new family member.” Price winked at you, giving you a warm smile.
That’s how the night went on, chatting and drinks getting passed around. It didn’t take you long to get buzzed. You kept true to your promise to yourself and didn’t go looking for interactions with Ghost.
However, you felt his eyes on you. It was like they never left you, always following your every movement.
It felt familiar.
Ghost stayed quiet the whole night, not cracking a chuckle at any jokes or taking part in the conversations. His eyes wandered the bar as if he was looking for any type of escape. Whenever your eyes met his, he looked away, his eyes hardening in the process.
“I have to go to the bathroom.” You said, feeling the alcohol finally run through you and back up your throat. Although everyone was too occupied with their conversations to hear you. You stumbled your way to the bathroom, pushing open the door. You wasted no time, bending over the toilet and vomiting what little contents that were in your stomach.
“I knew I should’ve eaten before….” You whispered to yourself.
“Yeah, ‘ya should have. Not very nurse of ‘ya.” A deep voice echoed behind you.
You jumped, turning around, clutching your chest as your eyes landed on Ghost. He stood behind you, arms crossed, as he leaned against the stall door.
“God, when the fuck did you get in here?” You asked, your eyes traveling down his figure. This would be the first time that you had ever seen Ghost in civilian clothes. Even on relaxed days on the base, Ghost wore full tactical gear. Tonight, he opted for a compression tee and black sweatpants, as if he was planning to go to the gym after all of this.
Which wouldn’t be surprising for Ghost.
“I didn’t know you had tattoos.” Your eyes landed on his sleeve, which seemed to move as he unconsciously flexed his muscles.
“I know ‘ya didn’t.” Ghost said, offering his hand out to you. You took it gratefully, standing up to your two feet. Ghost handed you some mouthwash and gum, along with your purse.
“Didn’t want nobody shifting through ‘ya stuff.” Ghost said when he saw the look that you gave him, “Also thought ‘ya might want to touch up ‘ya make up.”
“Thank you.” You gave him a small smile. He nodded, turning on his heel to leave out the bathroom. You swigged the mouthwash around, spitting into the sink. You freshen up your makeup before popping the piece of gum in your mouth.
You made your way back to the table, sitting down when a waitress came and dropped a personal pan of pepperoni pizza in front of you with water. “Oh,” You looked up at her, “I didn’t order this.”
“One of your friends ordered it for you. Told me to bring it when you came back to your seat.” She smiled and walked away. You glanced down at the pizza with a smile. Pizza was your favorite greasy food; it matched the rumbling of your drunk stomach perfectly.
You looked up at Soap and Gaz, the only two people who would know about your guilty pleasure food. Soap was leaning against the table flirting with another waitress while Gaz made bets with Price on football games. You decided you would thank one of them later when they weren’t busy.
4 am finally rolled around, causing the night to end. Gaz had called you a cab, walking you out as everyone said their goodbyes. Ghost had already mounted his motorcycle and sped off into the night. Once Gaz got you settled in the backseat, you smiled at him. “Thanks, Gaz. Oh, and thank you for the pizza, too.”
Gaz raised his eyebrow. “What pizza?”
“The pizza you ordered me when I went to the bathroom.” You clarified.
“I didn’t order you a pizza, hell, I didn’t even know you went to the bathroom.” Gaz said before chuckling a bit with a mischievous smirk, “The only person who ordered food was Ghost.”
Before you could ask anything more, Gaz tapped the roof of the car and your taxi pulled off.
Tumblr media
You went even longer without seeing Ghost after the bar. It was almost as if he had just disappeared into thin air. You tried to question Gaz and Soap, but they claimed they knew nothing about it. Saying that it was probably a “lucky guess” but if anything they had told you about Ghost was true, nothing he did was just a lucky guess.
You pushed all your questions to the back of your mind, as you knew you weren’t going to get any answers any time soon. You were cleaning up the office as your day was ending. 141 were out on a mission, a relatively relaxed one, so your office was quiet and easy to pack up rather than having to tell Soap to stop touching stuff every 5 minutes.
You hummed to yourself, not taking notice that your office door had swung open.
“You’re terrible at being aware of ‘ya surroundings.”
You jumped, a squeal falling from your mouth. “You have to stop doing that!”
Ghost stood at your door, in sweatpants and a hoodie. His arms crossed as he stared at you through his mask. He stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. You suddenly felt small like the room was closing in on you due to Ghost’s tall frame.
“What are you doing here?” You asked. Ghost’s eyes seemed to widen, as if he wasn’t sure why he was there either.
“Give me a check-up.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, glancing over at the clock. It was 7:35 pm, and the base was basically empty.
“It can’t wait til tomorrow?” You asked. Ghost took a step closer to you, “I thought you wanted to get to know me?”
“I do but-”
“Then give me the check-up.” Ghost grunted, sitting on the bench. His large frame made the normally large bench look small under him.
You sighed softly, getting out your equipment to start his check-up. You stay silent as you slip on your latex gloves after washing your hands. “So, I’m guessing something happened on the mission.”
Ghost looked over to you, his eyes coated in a small dose of confusion. “What?”
“I mean, you seemed very adamant about not getting a check-up before and now you’re here after a mission. I just assumed maybe something happened.” You clarified as you moved to check his heartbeat.
It took everything in you not to let your hands wander across his chest as you pulled away from him to turn to your computer and record the data.
“Nothing happened. Just built up some confidence.” He said, getting off the bench to stand behind you closely.
“O-oh…. confidence for what?” You took a deep breath, your eyes focusing on the computer screen.
Ghost didn’t answer your question, instead, he grabbed your shoulders and spun you around to face him. “You’re very annoying, you know that?”
“What?” Your eyes widened.
“You’re always around, smelling good. In these scrubs that hug your body tighter than any other scrubs I’ve ever seen.” Ghost muttered, “Always laughing at Soap’s stupid jokes. Always getting pizza when you know you aren’t supposed to.”
“I try to avoid you and ignore you, but you just crawl your little ass into my mind anyways. All mission…. just thinking and wondering what you’re doing.” Ghost continued.
“Is this your way of admitting that you’ve been thinking about me?” You asked.
Ghost stayed silent. His eyes stay trained on you, no words or sounds coming from him. His hand moved to take a piece of your hair and twirling it around his finger.
“Um, we should finish the check-up so we can go.” You spoke softly. Ghost ignored you, dipping his face into your neck. He took a deep breath. “God, you smell heavenly.”
“Ghost....”
“I need you.” He grumbled, “I need you all around me. I’ve learned everything I can about you and all I can think about is how I need to feel about you.”
“How I need to ruin you.”
You felt a knot in your stomach at his words, heat pooling inside you. “R-ruin me?”
“Beyond belief.” Ghost confirmed, “Give me the green light.”
You stayed silent as Ghost pushed his knee between your legs, pressing his knees gently against your core, causing a whimper to fall from your mouth. He lifted his mask to reveal his lips, pressing against your neck in soft, wet kisses. “Y/N. Answer me.”
“I….” You gasped for air, “P-please…do it.”
Ghost didn’t need to hear anything else. He lifted you easily, throwing you on the bench. He yanked your top off, groping your breast. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about these since the bar. So soft and plump…” Ghost grumbled, pulling your bra down and latching his mouth to your nipple.
A small moan fell from your mouth at the actions. His tongue swirled around your nipple before he pulled away with a slight “pop”. He left a trail of kisses down your chest to your naval. He tugged down your pants, throwing them in the same direction as your top. He groaned at the sight of the wet spot in your panties.
“So wet and ready for me. Huh, love?” Ghost said, blowing softly on your clothed clit.
You whined softly, nodding your head. He slapped your thigh, his eyes looking up at you. “I want to hear use your words. Let me hear that pretty voice that has been plaguing my mind for these past few months.”
You let out a sigh as Ghost pressed the pad of his tongue to your slit through your panties, teasing you. “Yes…. I’m wet and ready for you.”
“Good fucking girl, Lovie.” Ghost chuckled, moving your panties to the side to latch his mouth to your clit. He sucked and lapped at your clit harshly, your moans becoming uncontrollable as he ate you out like a starved man. His tongue teased your slit, flicking his tongue up and down.
He gripped your thighs tighter, pulling you closer to him. His nose pressed against your clit, stimulating you more and more. “Oh God, fuck, Ghost.” You moaned, your hands reaching out to grip the top of his balaclava.
“That’s right. I want you moaning my name like it’s the only thing that pretty little mind knows.” Ghost muttered, slipping two fingers into you as he kept lapping up all your juices. Your thighs tightened around his face as you felt your climax coming.
Ghost groaned at the action, his cock twitching with anticipation. You tossed your head back as pleasure coursed through your body. “I’m about to cum, fuck, I’m s’close.”
Your words seem to push Ghost further into sending you over the edge. His tongue moved faster against you as his fingers matched his pace. Your mind was blanking from the orgasm that rushed over your body. Ghost pulled his fingers out slowly as he pulled away from your swollen clit. His mouth was covered in your slick as he smirked. “Taste so sweet, Angel.” He spoke.
He pushed his two fingers into your mouth, groaning at the warmth of it. You suck on his fingers, tasting yourself on them as you swirled your tongue around. “Such a good, eager girl. So happy to taste yourself on my fingers.” Ghost whispered, pushing them down your throat so he could hear your gags.
Ghost pulled away, yanking his sweatpants and boxers down. His cock sprang out, revealing its large length. It hit his abdomen; the tip leaking with pre-cum. Your eyes looked down at him, eyes widening at the sight. “My God….” You whispered.
Ghost grabbed the base of his shaft, jerking himself off slightly before pulling you to the edge of the bench and wrapping one of your legs around his waist while propping the other one on his shoulder. “I need this pretty pussy wrapped around my cock, taking every inch of me.” Ghost growled. He rubbed his tip up and down your slick, coating it in it.
“Tell me how much you want this, Lovie. How bad do you want me to fuck you?” Ghost demanded; his eyes focused on you. You let out a whiny moan, looking up at him, “Please fuck me. I want your cock so bad.”
Ghost pushed into you, filling you up slowly but surely. Ghost groaned, sinking into you until he was fully inside you. “S’fucking tight. Gonna fuck this pretty cunt until it’s molded to only take my cock.” Ghost groaned, snapping his hips forward for a forceful thrust. A guttural moan fell from your mouth, as Ghost gripped your throat with both hands, pounding into you at a ruthless pace.
“M’been dreaming of this since the day I laid eyes on your fucking application picture.” Ghost muttered, “Such a pretty fucking girl. Batting your eyelashes at everyone.”
Ghost’s hands moved down to your hips, his fingers digging into your soft flesh. Your moans were drowned out by the loud slapping of your skin. If it wasn’t for the way that Ghost was viciously railing you, you would be concerned that someone would walk past and hear you.
“Such a fucking whore. Getting fucked in your office…. you like being railed after work? Hmm?” Ghost hissed out as you clenched around him.
“You look s’pretty being full of my cock.” Ghost muttered, leaning down to kiss and nip your neck. You whined, feeling another knot form in your stomach. You clenched around Ghost, making him groan. “M’close…. s’close…” You spoke in between moans.
“Go ahead and make a mess on my cock, baby. Cum all over this cock like the slut you are.” Ghost demanded. It didn’t take long for your legs to shake and for Ghost’s cock to be drenched in your climax. He slowed his thrusts, pulling out of you. You whimpered at the lost feeling.
“Get up, Lovie. I want to cum all in that pretty mouth of yours.” Ghost said, pulling you off the bench and to your knees. You looked up at him as he pumped himself. Slapping his cock against your lips, you opened your mouth to let him slip in.
“S’fucking warm. Fucking made to take my dick in every fucking hole you have.” Ghost muttered, his hand snaking around the back of your head to shove his dick further down your throat. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as you tasted all your juices that drenched his cock. Saliva trailed down your chin as Ghost thrust in and out of your mouth at an unforgiving pace. “A fucking slut you are, taking my dick so well. Fuck.” Ghost groaned as his hip stuttered slightly. His cock twitched in your mouth before ropes of cum shot down your throat.
Your eyes screwed shut as Ghost stayed deep in your throat, making sure you swallowed all his cum. He pulled out, bending down to level as you looked up at him. “So, this was going through your mind all this time.” You spoke breathlessly.
“Shocked, Lovie?” Ghost smirked, lifting you back to your feet.
“A little.” You nodded. Ghost tilted your head back to press a rough but gentle kiss to your lips. “Well, I suggest you get used to it because there will be more of that.”
Tumblr media
“So, you made your move, huh?” Soap grinned wickedly at Ghost, who sat further down the table. Ghost’s eyes shot to Soap’s as he narrowed them at the man.
“Don’t even try to deny it, LT.” Gaz said, his eyes staying trained on his phone. “All the talk around the base is how a certain skull mask-wearing lieutenant is attached to the hip of the pretty little nurse.”
“She must’ve really made you nervous if it took you almost three months to make a move on her.” Soap teased.
“I did more than make a move on her, Sergeant.” Ghost spoke, “That pretty little nurse is now my pretty little nurse.”
Ghost smirked underneath his mask as he looked between Gaz and Soap. “So, it would do you both good to watch your hands the next to you hug her. Would hate to have to break your fingers off for wandering too far for your own good.”
Without another word, Ghost sauntered out of the meeting room, leaving Soap and Gaz dumbfounded.
“Hm, I was wondering when that boy was going to make a move.” Price hummed from his spot, “All that begging to hire her to this base and took nearly four months to even talk to her.”
“Wait, what? Ghost knew about her before she even got to base?” Gaz asked.
“Ghost was the one who pulled her application.” Price said, “Said ‘his future girl’ had applied, and I needed to get her on base.”
Gaz and Soap looked at each other before sighing. Of course, Ghost knew you before you knew him.
Because it wouldn’t be Ghost if he didn’t.

GhostSoap AU - Replaced
Cw: angst
They'd been a (secret) thing for almost a year now. Soap was smitten, but respected Ghost's boundaries to keep it private.
But over all these months, Ghost never said he loved him too. He never makes future plans with Soap either.
He keeps turning down invites to go on leave together or meet his family,l. When they're out on missions will always elect share a room with Price over him.
Soap starts to feel like less of a secret lover and more like... Ghost's dirty little secret.
Like he's just being used.
(Read rest below)
It all blows up one night.
The gang had been at a local bar. Some flooze had apparently been making eyes at Ghost and Gaz noticed. Thinking he's being a good friend and wingman, he introduced the two.
Soap had to sit and watch Ghost talk to her at the bar for 20minutes.
Everytime she touched his arm or bought him a drink he wanted to rip her off him.
But what hurt more was that Ghost didn't immediately turn her down, instead entertaining her attention for a drink or two. He didn't tell Gaz he wasn't interested.
Soap was just a spectator.
"So? Get her number?" Gaz eagerly asked when Ghost returned.
"Nah. Not my type. Too chatty."
Gaz rolled his eyes. "Picky bitch. She was pretty. And if you're not into chatty why do you keep him around?" He playfully winked at Soap.
It was a joke. Didn't mean it didn't hurt.
Not when Ghost didn't even reply.
Soap announced he's leaving early. Ghost followed and caught up to him. The cold air did nothing to ease the burning hurt.
"You coming over to mine tonight, Johnny? I doubt they'll be back till after midnight."
Soap grit his teeth and kept walking. "Dunno. Maybe you should go ask your redhead slag."
Ghost glared, voice cold. "That's uncalled for, Johnny. She was just being friendly."
"Friendly, huh? Too bad she's chatty. Apparently that's huge turn off for you."
Ghost grabbed his arm and stopped him. His eyes and tone incredulous. "That's what this hissy fit is about? You're jealous and touchy over that comment? I thought you'd be happy I didn't take her number."
"I would've been happy if you didn't entertain her flirting at all!"
Ghost's eyes turned hard. "And what gives you the right to dictate who I talk to?"
Soap stared for a moment. It hurt. It fucking hurts but he needed to know.
"What am I to you, Simon?"
Ghost was quiet.
"A fling? A partner? A lover? A fucking sex toy? What am I to you!?"
Months of insecurities were bubbling up. The alcohol that loosened his tongue didn't help either as he yelled.
"Don't raise your voice to me, Sargent. I'm still your commanding officer." Ghost said in a tone reserved for intimidating interrogations and reckless recruits.
"...that's it? You're my CO and I'm your Sargent? That's- that's all it is for you?" Soap hated how his voice trembled.
"I didn't make any promises, Soap." (Soap. Not Johnny.) "You have no right to make demands of what I may and may not do, and I won't be chained down!"
"I don't want to chain you down! I just wa-"
"Sounds like you do. Bloody hell, if you didn't want to fuck anymore - fine. There's no need for the tears and the drama, Sargent."
It was only then that Soap realized he was crying.
Ghost cursed and kept walking without him.
Soap feels like he's been punched in the chest, a gaping void left where his heart and lungs should be.
Apparently all the secret kisses Ghost stole, how he held his hand when no one was looking, the way he held him when they were alone were all just what? Drama? In his head?
Soap spends the night sobbing his heart out off base in an empty parking lot with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
By morning he told himself there's no use crying over spilled milk.
But it wasn't that simple. For either of them. It was the start of the end.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Based on a request:
with the new mw3, lets do angst, something along the lines of "Somewhere in the haze, got a sense i've been betrayed" coming from us because 141 betrayed us horribly, which ended up in us getting tortured and then we pretennd its fine when it isnt. forget and forgive we lie and when we meet with Makarov, we tell them, 'oops sorry, forgot i was also a enemy at some point, guess its time to betray like real enemies do' and as we set Makarov free, we show that we have been working as his spy ever since they betrayed us. also can this be with a female reader and we also marry makarov behind their backs so thats why we betray so hard? i love u!
A/N: anon knew what they were doing with that ask…anyway, here you go my love…betrayal as a meal <3
--- F!Reader, soldier!reader, enemy!reader, betrayal, mentions of torture and violence

To betray a soldier that has been wanted by all allied forces, by all teams and now losing you so quickly to a Russian group. To think your hands will be responsible for their demise. One torture room, where you begged as they did vile acts against you. Truth yelled by your gravelly throat, only to have Price ask for more of your blood. "How did he get to her so quickly?" Gaz asked, baffled to have lost you to the man you hated when this all began. "He had her all along," Kate spoke. Nikolai shook his head. "But how? We were her family," a betrayed Ghost said. "We betrayed her first," Price recalls.
[Eight years ago]
There had been suspicion someone within the base was working with KorTac, a double agent. All fake puzzles led to an unsuspecting, then officer cadet, you. Ghost and Soap made sure to tie you nicely to a chair. The same one that watched you bleed the truth as they cut looking for lies. You were always the hunter, never the prey. "Tell us, R/N, why the fuck were you talking to KorTac!" Price made sure to have the young Lieutenant punch you each time you stayed silent. Your blood on the walls of the torture-...interrogation room. "I told you Price, it isn't me!" Your eyes poured the truth they never saw.
"Fucking answer us!" Soap, more than ever hurt, slapped you. You play tough, but this hurts, the people you trusted with your life are now wanting to end it. An oath you hold close to you, now far away, or so they believed. The patch you wore with pride, is now ripped from your uniform. No longer friendly but an enemy. You knew what this meant. Ghost took his knife out, began to approach your neck with the sharp blade and before he took your life, Gaz walked in. A small-figured soldier is being pushed into the room. "Tell them what you told me!" Garrick barked. "I-it's me! I'm the one who is talking to KorTac," voice filled with fear, rightfully so. Ghost let go of the fisted uniform in his hand, and watched as your body fell forward. Soap, look of regret, held you in his arms.
On the way to the medic centre, Ghost was by your side as you kept whispering it wasn't you. The scar he made, is forever to be kept. Days of healing, hours of apologies. Nights when you didn't hear it, but the cold lieutenant apologised with a stream of tears on his face. A blade he cared for, neared your death.
A/N: Makarov's information has been updated for the reboot, so I'm basing myself on that
[Seven years ago]
[Saint Petersburg, Russia]
You visited the country as a civilian and bumped into a man on your way to your hotel. "Sorry, mate," you kept walking and then days later, the same man appeared in the hotel's lobby. Bumped into you and then as an apology for spilling your wine, he offers dinner. 36-year-old Vladimir was still not illustrated, not to any of his future enemies or hunters at least. You learned many things with him that evening, from his young years in the military and how his night had gotten better since meeting you. "It's wonderful, to have such a beauty like you visit such a dull country." He had you blushing and knew how to mess with your young heart.
"You're just saying that, Vlad," a smile on your lips. It was bizarre how he went from Vladimir to Vlad, a short name that meant too much to a man like him. "Well, it's true, my dear," his smile winning you over. He didn't know your real job and you didn't know his. That night, you made a friend, someone you hold dear. That night, he made a lover, a puppet to his future.
[Six years ago]
[middle of nowhere]
"Where are you taking me?" a blindfold on you as your boyfriend, Vlad, took you to yet another date. "You'll see my dearest," he whispers against your soft skin. Warm breeze hit your skin. The ocean, as free as you and him yearned to be. "Suprise my love," his thick accent melting your heart. The blindfold off you, you smile and hug him. This day, all truth was told, no arguments, just two lovers understanding each other's lives. "No no, my love, I would never hurt you," a promise he knows to keep. "And you wouldn't betray me, right love?" His hands cupped your delicate face as you nod. "I would never," you whisper as you feel his lips fall on yours.
From then on, no one knew who he was to you. But to his comrades, friends and family you were the girl who held his heart. The task force all thought you were just like them, stuck to the mission and not to civilian love. Dancing with the devil, making love to him and promising your all. An engagement ring that hangs with your dog tags. Secret love to never be told.
[Five years ago]
"Who is this?" Soap and Gaz looked at the photograph. "Vladimir Makarov, a Russian nationalist, born during the USSR," Laswell responded. "He's the target," her lips said. A knot at your throat, this can't be, you have to warn him. "Y'alright love?" Ghost's hand on your back. You nod. "Yeah, I'm just thinking," you turn to him. He nods, "Right, well, what do you think we should do?" He encouraged you, the new lieutenant of the team, no longer a cadet officer. It was something he pushed you to, to be the best. Proud smile on him when you ran up to him with the news. "I say we start with intel," you look at the photograph once more. It was your Vlad, no doubt. "Right, sergeants with me, Ghost and Grim stay behind for Laswell's next intel ask," Price nodded and left.
Days passed and Operation Golf was established. Ghost taught you how to perfect your ghillie suit. He just liked how you tried to make yours better than his, which always turned into, 'which Lt. wore it better'.
By midnight, as Ghost went to sleep, you left base to meet with Vladimir. Price and the two other men in a different country, looking for him. "What is it, my love?" His gloved hands held your face. "They are now gathering intel on you. They believe you are still in Russia," you spoke in Russian. He chuckles, "Shame that I'm here, isn't it," his lips meet yours. Your nose is cold and now warmed by his kiss. "Don't trust no one, not even Ivan," you warn him. "I only trust my beautiful love," he kisses you again. "Now, let me hold my precious darling before she plays pretend." And that night, was the first of many rendezvous's he took for you whilst you play ally to the task force.
[Four years ago]
You were on an operation with some old teammates from a past squad when Price got a hold of you. "Grim, it's that Captain Price guy!" A teammate calls out. You answer the call. "Prisoner 627 is now in Russia," Price proudly spoke. 627, a number unique to the case the military had opened for Makarov alone. Your wedding ring is hung with the dog tags. "Copy, out." You say over the call. That night, your bedroom was not filled with the call of your dearest lover. It's strange, to play pretend with the family you made as a soldier and to play feign with the man you call home as a wife. All in the name of love and war.
Months pass and you play calmly. No husband, just an enemy in some Russian prison. "Y'okay bonnie?" Soap sat beside you during mess hall. "Yeah, just a bit tired from that training," you lie. The sleepless nights you have thought about your husband. You look around the table, no one knowing you knew what would come next from Konni. In the end, it wouldn't be you who got betrayed again. Not tortured, especially not by the men in your husband's team that guarded your life with theirs.
Mission after mission, you would go to a country near Russia. Have meetings with people on your husband's side, and hear how he would escape prison. Asked you to stay away from his people when the day arrived. Play good, he would remind you. You know the date, time, how and when it would happen. The plan is all memorised in your head. You knew the people that would break him free, you knew it all and yet no one in 141 was aware.
[Three years ago]
On yet another mission, you got news of Vladimir. He isolated himself, prepared for when he would see you again. Sent letters to you occasionally. Details of love no one would see from a man like him. A love for all movie lovers to never witness. You roamed the home he set out to be his and yours, no one, not even his best soldier knew that home existed. It was days like these that you wished to have stayed in bed and kissed his body, all details to be taken in for when you waited to once more kiss him.
The picture of the secret wedding was held between your fingers. A smile he dreams to see as he awaits the prison break. The man who was set to believe evil held your hand and promised an entire lifetime of love. "I'm sorry," you whisper as your gaze focuses on the 141 emblem.
"Never be sorry, never, what they did to you is cruel, you never do that to a woman who was oathed in," fury escaped his lips. It was the night he finally told you all about him. He kissed the scars that the torture room left. In that moment, all else who dared question you, especially the rats of 141 would pay for what they did to his darling. Maybe he did corrupt you, but those scars, the lies they believed and the truths they never heard from you, were way before he met you. He believed in loyalty, good or evil, opposing or not. And the way you told him how you held the oath of being a soldier dear to you, he admired it. He believes that loyalty is essential, and if you are loyal to who you are, he applauds it.
[Two years ago]
A mission gone wrong, a phone call from within the prison. All he sacrificed to just hear you say, "I'm fine, honey." With that oh-so-soft voice of yours. A sigh of relief came from his lips. This was a reminder he would always be around even from within a guarder tower of hell. His men would always guard you, even if they fought 141, you were never the target. KorTac had a target on their backs when Vladimir found out they were the ones responsible for the bullet on your shoulder. "What is it?" He asked the guard. "The girl has been injured, gunfight at some mission." He had people that worked for him within the guards, and when the news arrived to him, that's when for the first time in his life, he feared life and a gun. Vladimir Makarov is a villain in everyone's eyes. In your eyes that hold paradise, he is peace. He is Vlad, your husband.
Whilst waiting for Soap to get cleared from the medics, you played with the ring on your necklace. "Oh, R/N, has some lover?" Gaz was the first to notice. Ghost's stare went to you, eyes wide as he heard the words he never needed to hear. Your blush told the words his heart never wanted to hear.
[One year ago]
[Las Almas, Mexico]
"Are you threatening us?" Ghost asked and in that moment, he made you back away. Guarding you with his body. Betrayal, the first of many he would see with you. That became the night you escaped the shadows of Commander Graves. Soap was somewhere in the city, Ghost and you escaped every chance the shadows had at catching you. Imprisonment is something you got Colonel Vargas out of. Ironic. By the end, you killed him, the man who used his shadows, in some explosion. "You alright, love?" Ghost asked as you went to the aircraft quietly. "Yeah, Mexico just tired me," your head hung as you played with the dog tags. "Who's the lover?" He finally acknowledged the ring. "No one, it's just a silly joke," you lie, something he knew well. "Hmm, yeah...a silly joke," he turned away from you.
[Present day, 21 November 2023 ]
[London, England]
The last time you saw them all as a team, well, now that you were sure you'd be a newfound enemy. With Makarov now out of prison, prisoner 627, your love called for him. As Ghost looked through the CCTV cameras, one of the men in Konni gave you the signal. And as you approached, you caught a glimpse of him. Your heart flutters and then you look at Ghost. He nodded and you pretended to try and fight against Makarov. Czar-9-0 Actual. The callsign of your husband and the name of the man you betrayed them for. Guns blazing, bullets directed at them, not you. Gaz and Ghost, a team, Soap and Price, a team, 141, one unit. You, the wife of the enemy. Two bullets and then, the head hit the ground. Young soldier down. "What are you doing?!" Soap asked as you turned on them. A 20-year-old soldier died within seconds, you knew him from when he joined at 18. James, the man whose blood ran on your gun.
Makarov fired, one of his men held your hand and brought you to your husband. The 141 patch off your uniform as now, you were given the Konni patch. "Welcome back, comrade," a man spoke with an evil grin. Ghost, the eyes that saw the betrayal again. 23 soldiers died, from both sides. 141 on the ground, trying to recover.
--
"C'mon, Grim, you have to trust me on this, yeah?" the young lieutenant that made Ghost told you. "What if we fall?" you asked. "If you trust me, we won't and if I trust you, we will go home and get a pint or two," He smiles at you. From this day on, you and he became close, a bond no gun could break.
--
Ghost swore you were taken hostage. And as Makarov was about to kill Captain Price, one of his men tapped him out. "No time, we will get him later!" Ghost's glare never left yours. He shook his head. This can't be, not his R/N. You looked at him, no remorse behind your eyes. It wasn't R/N, it was Grim that stared at him. The soldier he respected the most. You pointed your gun at one of the other soldiers with them.
It turned into something bigger
Somewhere in the haze, got a sense I'd been betrayed
He jumped at you, to not kill you but to bring you back and let Makarov run with Grim. You pushed him, what turned into a fight for his teammate to be back, became a fight against the enemy. You pushed him to the ground. "Ghost!" Gaz yelled as he saw your gun pointed at him. It was never Makarov that would be his demise. It wasn't an enemy. It was you. It was the one he held dear to his civilian self. The woman he would drink poison for. The one he jumped a bullet for when they were young cadets. Stupid, stupid, stupid. His eyes never left yours and for a second, he saw past Grim and noticed the scared R/N that obeyed her husband.
Soldier down on that icy ground
Looked up at me with honor and truth
Broken and blue, so I called off the troops
That was the night I nearly lost you
You put your gun down and turn away, running to Vladimir. His open arms, ready to embrace his darling. Now, all of 141's secrets are with Makarov. It clicked in that instant. How four years ago Makarov knew who Ghost was. How well he knew all their names. It wasn't some file he saw when his hacker got in, no, it was you, the best of all pawns. The train cleaned your tracks. Price and the others stood in fear, all this time, you were part of Konni. Ghost stood in silence.
In every war he was in, you were there. His favourite of all soldiers. From his early days as just Simon to his latest days as Ghost, all witnessed by you. He was the one who asked for you anywhere he went. His life came in a flash, all the Christmas events, the dinners and drinks he had with his friend...no...enemy. The one person who knew Simon liked the palm of her hand, now holding the man Ghost called an enemy.
"How did he get to her so quickly?" Gaz asked, baffled to have lost you to the man you hated when this all began. "He had her all along," Kate spoke. Nikolai shook his head. "But how? We were her family," a betrayed Ghost said. "We betrayed her first," Price recalls. "But that was years ago," Soap comments. "It started years ago," Gaz mentions. "We weren't meant to win this one gentlemen," Kate informs.
"Fuck!" Ghost's blood boiled. He scared them, he knew that well. So when he slammed his fist on the table, he even made the best of soldiers flinch. "Lt," Soap tried to calm him down. "No, Johnny! You don't get it, you don't know her as I do," he approached the sergeant. "She didn't kill you, why?" Kate walks to the betrayed soldier. "What?" His voice is hoarse. "She had the chance to kill you, headshot even, yet she didn't, she ran to him and then when she did, all fire ceased." Kate is after all a mastermind. "She didn't betray Simon, she betrayed Ghost, she betrayed Soap, not Johnny, Gaz, not Kyle and Bravo six, not John." She states.
"She betrayed soldiers, not family," Price came to realisation. Grim did that, Grim killed all that came between the goal. 'Capable of killing all those that come between her and the goal, will not hesitate to harm enemies.' The goal wasn't to kill Task Force 141, it was to get revenge for the betrayal, for torturing you in a room, letting your blood drip. You married a man, something all fools do. But even though Makarov wanted you to pull the trigger on Ghost, you didn't. You ran away and the fire ceased.
There's no morning glory, it was war, it wasn't fair
A/N: see what I did there?...mastermind me y'know

hello could you Gen z Overlord meeting Charlie and Vaggie for the first time when they go to their territory while they were working and they were friendly and excited at the idea of Charlie's redemption, basically releasing their wings happily💕💕💕🫧
It was a busy day for (Y/n), they had only got a handful of hours of sleep after having to fight off a whole gang of idiots. The group did damage alot of property while they were here so today was all about fixing the damage and help anyone that needed help.
"Mx Overlord, um someone is looking for you." Said a newly acquainted soul, they seemed to still be waiting for (Y/n) to tear their soul apart at any given moment. The sinner would get use to (Y/n) sooner or later, so (Y/n) wasn't worried.
"Can you tell them I'm busy at the moment?" (Y/n) said holding a board up high for someone else to screw into place, using their wings to their advantage.
"I-I did! But they are very insistent on meeting with you, also one of them is the Princess of Hell." The soul explained,(Y/n) almost dropped the board they were holding, catching it quickly enough so it wouldn't fall on anyone.
"Oh! Sorry but I didn't know Hell had a monarch, just tell them I'll finish up what I'm doing and find them." Said (Y/n).
"Okay!"
-
"Maybe I should have asked what they look like..." said (Y/n) having no clue on who they were looking for, they would be flying if they did so walking was needed incase of running into whoever, luckily (Y/n) soon got stopped by a couple of people.
"Hey, I'm so sorry but do you know where we could find (Y/n)? They're the Overlord of this area." Asked the taller blonde with rosey cheeks and red eyes.
"Are you the ones who wanted to meet with me?"
"You're the Overlord of this territory?"
"Yeah, usually people would say-."
"But you're so young!"
"Like that." Said (Y/n), looking at the Princess of Hell. "But anyway, why did you come here?"
"Well, we noticed that you actually care for the sinners that you have under contract-."
"So we thought you wouldn't mind helping our project to get to sinners to Heaven!" Finished the Blonde. "But introductions first, I'm Charlie Morningstar and this is my girlfriend Vaggie." Said Charlie.
"Well you already know my name but anyways I'm (Y/n) and that's definitely an interesting project, you have." Said (Y/n), thinking about it. "Why don't we talk about at my office? That would probably be more professional, I think."
"Alright! I haven't actually got this far before, everyone usually laughs or tells me to leave." Said Charlie, happy that someone want to listen about it.
"Before we go, how old are you? You seem to young to be an Overlord." Said Vaggie, you looked to young to even be in Hell.
"Well I turned 18 alittle bit before I died so I'm always going look young... if only all those beauty companies knew that." Said (Y/n), snickering to themself at the last part, walking towards where their office/home is.
"18?" Said Charlie, shocked that you were sent to Hell at a young age then quickly turned to rage about it. "Why would Heaven do that to a kid?" (Y/n) looked back to see her anger and Vaggies effort of trying to calm her.
"Look, Charlie. I've made my peace being down here and now I'm making a difference in people's life for the good. It's fine." They told her. "And I'm not a kid, I was technically an adult when I died." They said lighting the mood.
"You're right." Said Charlie taking a deep breath. "Lead the way."
-
"Oh thank goodness, I thought when you said get a sinner in Heaven it would be more of a fight the angels situation." Said (Y/n) before their wings fluffing up in excitement. "But this is so much awesome and peaceful! Who doesn't love trying to stick it to the man in a nonviolent way?!"
"Right?!" Said Charlie. "I just want to handle the overpopulation in a not killing my people way."
"But we don't have an proof or a guest at the moment so we would understand if you said no." Said Vaggie, looking (Y/n) in their eyes, who looked way to excited with their wings.
"I love rooting for the underdogs!" said (Y/n) before calming down and thinking about it."I would need a room when I visit, I'm willing to help fix up this hotel so it would be in better condition."
"We would need you not to do any of your soul contracts at the hotel." Said Vaggie.
"Of course, it would defeat the purpose of the hotel and it would be rude for me to do." Said (Y/n). "I would need to get everything set up for me to be at the hotel often so I'll be there in a day or so."
"Is that a yes?!" Said Charlie, leaning close to (Y/n).
"It's a yes, I would love to help you with your project."

How about the towns people reacting to the farmer who despises joja. Like, think about it. The farmer left their soul sucking office job at joja behind only to see them again right across the bridge. I bet they would support the community centre out of spite.
They are normally a friendly and sweet person but the moment joja comes into the conversation they snap a little. Morris talks to them and their left eye twitches rapidly cuz this guy reminds them way too much of their old boss. They have dark dreams about the blinking lights of the work and rest lights and the bosses looming over them through the glass in their office.
Locals swear they see the light disappear from their eyes whenever they accidentally fish up a joja can.
Oh man, That's just about a perfect description of my OC Farmer. He is by nature a very kind and patient man, but every time he sees JojaMart, catching more trash with that logo on it, or sees people who use every means, even mean ones (remember that scene with Morris), to destroy the competition and become monopolists, he gets very sarcastic. Sometimes, it can be just pure rage.
But let's not talk about my OC, because the question here is about a neutral farmer 😅 So enjoy, dear anon!
SDV townies react to the Farmer who despises Joja:
Marlon's mind is more on protecting the Valley from monsters than on boycotting some store. He wouldn't have known about this until one day Farmer came in with a bunch of soda cans with the Joja logo on them, while swearing about the same logo. They told to the one-eyed adventurer that they had fished this cans of the mine waters at level 100. How these soda cans managed to end up in literal lava without burning or even deforming from the lava's temperature was a mystery to Marlon.
Stardew Valley has its own zest that makes the place unique, and according to Penny, JojaMart is ruining that uniqueness. Plus they constantly put promotions on the beer and ales they sell, which Pam just can't refuse. So Penny isn't too thrilled about Joja.co appearance in Pelican Town either.
How Willy understands them! There is already so much garbage floating in the sea from Joja's products that has endangered fish and other marine life. And the mart that was built here has only made the problem worse. So the old sailor will support the Farmer if they want to kick this corporation out of Pelican Town.
Not that George would care much where his wife bought the leek: from the farmers or from that huge store. After all, a leek is a leek no matter how you cooked it. Still, though, memories of his grandfather and his farm bring back fond memories of things that used to be both simpler and better. He's also annoyed by the loud music coming from the speakers in that supermarket, which is "supposed to attract customers" but distracts him from his nostalgic thoughts. Can't he have some quiet time in his own home anymore! If the Farmer wants to stage a boycott, then George will be the first of the participants!
Oh, this is so much fun! Abigail feel bad that she provokes Farmer on purpose, but it's not her fault that her friend gives such a funny reaction at any mention of Joja. "Look, Sam bought me a Joja cola, you want some?" *Possum hissing*
Haley thinks the Farmer is a fool. The only civilized supermarket in town, and Farmer looks at it as an insult to all humanity. Yes, the quality of the clothes leaves a lot to be desired, but there are a variety of sweets to choose from! And there's plenty goods for farming, too. The girl doesn't understand what Farmer's problem is.
Whoa whoa, easy, why the outburst of rage? What? Yeah, Alex bought a dozen eggs at JojaMart. After all, he needs protein. Hey! What's the Farmer doing? Give it back, why did they take the eggs?! If they wanted some egg, they could just ask! Wha?... Oh, the Farmer gave him three dozen eggs. These are from their farm? Uh, thank you. So big, and much better quality than he bought from Joja..... So, how's he gonna explain to Grandma that Alex now have three dozen eggs?
Gus sincerely hopes the Farmer doesn't vandalize his Saloon, at least as a sign of respect for the very owner of the establishment and his property. Because they've been looking at that Joja soda machine for too long. It's like they're trying to desiteng this poor vending machine. He may also have to take Joja Coke off the menu.
*Gasp* Hee-hee. Oh, Marnie can't stop laughing. To be honest, at first the young Farmer's angry stare and scolding caught her off guard and frightened her a little. But later, she can't stop giggling after every barbed comment towards Joja.co, their old boss and "colleagues".
Sheesh, wow. Sam would never have thought that a person could cringe like that at the mention of Joja. The young guitarist should think twice before opening a can of Joja Coke with Farmer standing next to him, because they will vaporize that very can with a look.
Jas already knows what natural resources are and has often heard from Miss Penny that many huge corporations often abuse and deplete these same resources. And this thought makes her sad. But she does not want to quarrel with anyone, so Jas will offer the Farmer to draw a poster together so that Joja will respect nature and makes products that do not harm animals and plants (spoiler: it won't work, but the Farmer was very touched by the girls’ idea).
Bad food? Bad store? But Mr/Mrs Farmer, why do you say that? Vincent doesn't really understand why they hate that store so much, where he often goes with his mother to visit his older brother and buy groceries. His mom even also buys him ice cream in the form of a dinosaur! Because dinosaur is so cool. What? Do they have a living dinosaur?! In a coop? Can he take a look please??? The farm is much cooler than this "Jodja'! Mom look, Mr/Mrs Farmer has a pet dinosaurs!
Oh, that whole blue trash things makes Leo and his bird family very sad. So he understands why the Farmer is so upset too. But the boy is not discouraged and wants to make a clean-up day together with Farmer, Linus and the parrots. Maybe the Joja people will see the beauty of nature and stop littering!
Oh, no, Farmer. You don't need to show so much negative emotion! Emily herself is not fond of Joja and their constant pollution of the environment with their waste, but absorbing so much anger and spreading it to others is not the best way to go about it. She does worry about the Farmer's mental state and will offer them meditation classes to get rid of the bad thoughts associated with the old job and Joja in general.
Shane would probably be the second person who truly hates Joja. Stupid, energy-sucking job, stupid boss who makes him work overtime, stupid uniforms that don't fit him and that make him itch. Can the occasional theft of beer and frozen pizza from Joja's warehouse be considered a form of protest?
Caroline nearly dropped her tea cup when Farmer literally hissed at the mention of Joja and Morris. The two of them were sitting alone in her sunny room drinking tea and Caroline was a little sad that her husband's business had gotten tougher since JojaMart had come to town. She had heard from the Mayor the reason for the Farmer leaving their old job and truly understands their decision (after all, life in the big city can be very tiring). Though the young Farmer's reaction to the mention of Joja.co has her a bit amused.
But when Pierre walked into the sun room (to pick up his gardening tools) where his wife and Farmer were sitting, and heard the conversation about his store and Joja, he started wailing and whining about the desperate situation. And the shopkeeper would wholeheartedly support Farmer in the idea that everyone would be much better off without blasted Joja! However, when the Farmers were about to leave, they thanked Caroline for the tea, and finally, with a sly smile, said that "Joja will not stay here for long". What this meant, neither Pierre nor his wife understood.
"Fuck! Fucking bitch ass Joja with their fucking cans and CDs! I want fish, not that dog ass shit plastic! Rot in hell, you goddamn corporation, bunch of bastards and rats!" Sebastian is used to Farmer's tirade by now, and watches from the kitchen window, sipping his coffee, as his poor friend has been trying to fish the mountain lake for the past two hours. Judging by their profanity, fishing was not going well.
But poor Maru, who almost dropped the wrench on her foot, heard the Farmer's profanity for the first time and thought something was wrong. When she went out to inquire after their fortunes, they were already sitting on the shore crying... and surrounded by the garbage from Joja.co. The young inventor invites Farmer into the kitchen for a cup of coffee with her and her half-brother.
While the brother and sister consoled Farmer with words and caffeine, Demetrius, seeing that there was now a lot of plastic lying nearby, offered to the Farmer take his recycling machine and scheme if they wanted more machines. Recycling would help to bring the environment back to its former state, also the recycled garbage would become useful products for the farm! Demetrius thinks it's unlikely that they'll be able to boycott the huge company in any way, so it's better to help the ecology like that at least.
Robin almost died laughing. "Holy macaroni, you swear like an old sailor!" She really didn't expect such profanity from such a quiet and kind person, but her son and daughter were not the only ones who heard the poor youth's tirade after a bad fishing trip. But Robin doesn't want to tease the poor Farmer, so she goes along with her husband's offer to take their recycling machine.
Oh dear, don't be so furious, you get a headache! Evelyn can understand why the poor Farmer is upset, but she would hate to see such a kind and sweet youth in a constantly bad mood because of Joja. Maybe they'll drop by for tea? She just baked cookies, and didn't use Joja products, granny promises! *wink*
Linus can feel Mother Nature weeping and choking on all this garbage and waste. And how her crying has gotten stronger since Joja their big store in town. The wise man stays calm though and tries to comfort the Farmer, because anger clouds his thoughts and it's impossible to think of ways to help nature.
Hmmm, dear, but Joja is full of good gardening supplies and farming seeds, and at a low price. Jodi thinks they should look in there and get something for.... Oh, okay, fine. Jodi won't mention Joja again, or she gets the impression that nice Farmer is transforming into a beast before her eyes.
Now, now... There's no need to get so angry or you'll get high blood pressure, Harvey knows what he's talking about. Anger is inherent in everyone, but he is well aware of how mental problems later affect a person's physical health. So if Farmer doesn't learn to control their anger, then it will be Dr. Harvey himself who gets angry. And take his word for it, Farmer, he will scold you severely.
For all his desire to help Farmer, Rasmodius feels he should not interfere in people's lives, much less use magic for it. Plus, he feels that there's no point in looking for an answer to solve a problem when the answer is right in front of them. Hmm? What is he talking about? Ah, young adept, the forest spirits will show you the way, you just have to learn to listen to them carefully.
Leah knows what it's like to live in a big city at an energy-sucking job, under the all-seeing eye of a mega-corporation (also with her ex who mumbling everyday about more profitable professions). And when Leah sees JojaMart, her mind involuntarily returns to that unpleasant part of her life. To be honest, she would also start snarling and hissing like a Farmer because of Joja or any other company that is trying to greedily take Stardew Valley for itself.
Elliott bows before Farmer: to reach such a peak of eloquence, masterfully masking sarcasm in conversation with the help of barbs and epithets - such a level was not even reached by Elliott himself, even with his rich vocabulary. The writer doesn't know why this manager from Joja.co angered the always good-natured Farmer, but Elliott made a note to himself to never get on the Farmer's bad side.
All right, kiddo! Don't bark at the store like a guard dog! Do Pam a favor and move your bum away from the main JojaMart entrance, she has to get a dark ale on special, plus a 15% off coupon. Huh, don't like Joja? Then don't look at them and problem solved! Like a piece of cake.
The tired father had to put his hands over Vincent's ears more than once to keep the youngest of his sons from hearing the endless stream of profanity from their new Farmer about the greedy megacorporation. Though Kent would be lying if he said the whole rant didn't make him laugh. Still, he tries to hide a smile under his wife's stern gaze.
All right, enough! Why don't you stop swearing, there's little kids walking around! Lewis can understand anything, but not useless swearing. The town mayor really does miss the days when they were all at the old Community Center, but yelling at Joja won't do anything. What do you mean the "Community Center will soon be alive again"? Farmer? Where are they going? Yoba, they're just like their Grandfather. Sigh, what a daredevil...bless your soul, my old friend.
Satisfied with his work and how quickly the number of visitors to JojaMart was growing, Morris didn't even notice how, when talking to a new resident of the Valley (aka "potential customer"), the poor "listener" had a twitch in his eye and a cringing their face. Well, one gets a tic, he doesn't really care. Although when Morris was at the restored Community Center where people started boycotting Joja, now his eye started twitching.

Pancakes
Rick Grimes x Fem!Reader
Summary- You're Judith's babysitter in Alexandria and your kind gesture backfires.
Content information: 18+, angsty Rick, age gap (20s and 40s), awkward as FUCK, there would be smut if I continued
Tumblr media
"Rick, I found the perfect candidate to take care of Judith while you're working." Deanna announced with her signature friendly smile.
Currently sitting in her make-shift office, Rick raised his brow because she had told him there were 'important matters' to discuss. "This' what you wanted to tell me? I already told'ya, m'not comfortable with anyone besides the people in my group takin' care of her. Carl and Carol are takin' turns."
Deanna sighed and reasoned, "I understand, I completely do. I would be hesitant to allow strangers to take care of my child, but we aren't strangers here. We are a community of good people. Carl's still a kid and he shouldn't have be a primary care taker for his little sister. Carol is a valuable asset to this community and I need her to do other jobs. This leaves only one option, and that's to find a babysitter for Judith."
"No, absolutely not. There ain't a single person here I would trust with that," Rick interrupted.
Deanna ignored his protest and continued, "You trust me though, don't you? Thats why when I thought about it, I decided that my daughter could take care of yours."
Rick eye brows furrowed in surprise at her suggestion. "Your daughter?" He repeated in confusion.
"Yes, she's my oldest. She doesn't have kids, but she's taken care of plenty of babies," Deanna explains.
Rick pondered it for a moment. He realized Deanna had a point about Carl and Carol, but having a stranger taking care of Judith made his stomach turn. However, it was better to have Deanna's own daughter taking care of Judith than some random civilian in Alexandria. He had only caught a glimpse of you during the welcome party, before you disappeared into a group of people. "Don't you have some more important job for your own daughter?" He inquired.
Deanna chuckled at his suspicion. "She used to go on runs, but I don't want her out there anymore. She'll make a great babysitter for you, until I find another job for her that doesn't involve going outside of the walls."
"I'll think about it" was all he said before getting up and heading towards the door. 'These next few weeks are gonna be long.' He mentally groaned.
The next day, Rick was met with a knock on the door while getting ready. He quickly slid on a plain white shirt and some black jeans before opening the door.
You greeted him in a friendly voice, "Hi, I'm Y/N Monroe, Deanna's daughter. I'm here to look after Judith."
Rick's eyes scanned over you, momentarily forgetting what you just said as he analyzed you. His eyes traced every detail on your face and clothing. He finally spoke, "Rick Grimes. Y'can come in." He moved from the door way and let you inside the house. You could feel his watchful eyes drilling a hole in the back of your head as you stepped inside. The silence was deafening.
You turned to Rick and asked curiously, "Where is she?"
"She's asleep right now. I'll show you 'round for now," he answered and began walking toward the kitchen. Rick opened some cabinets and explained where Judith's food and toys were. "Feel free to help yourself to anything, just make sure Judith is well taken care of," he added.
"Thank you, and don't worry, she's in good hands." You assured and patted his back. He stared down at you, trying to figure you out, before Judith's cries snapped him out of his thoughts.
You both made your way to Judith's crib and he scooped her up. He goes on to say, "She's fussy in the mornings 'cause she's hungry. She usually only cries if she's hungry, needs to be changed, or if she tired."
You can't help but giggle at his serious explanations for the obvious. "I know how a baby works, Rick. This isn't the first one I've ever taken care of," You playfully retort and reach out to hold Judith.
He feels some embarrassment from his explanation and hands her over to you cautiously. "Jus' making sure," He admits. Judith curiously studies you as you rock her in your arms. Your attention and drawn back to Rick when he states, "I better get ready for work. I'll let Carl and Carol know you'll be taking over, for today." He muttered the last part as he exited the room.
After Judith calmed down, you brought her to the kitchen and sat her down in her high chair. You brought a spoonful of applesauce to her mouth, which she happily scarfed down. Rick's suspicions of you were justified since he didn't know you, but it slightly irritated you. While feeding Judith and hearing her coos, an idea hit you. 'Maybe I could win him over with food.'
You cleaned Judith up quickly started breakfast for Rick and Carl. Putting on an apron you found laying around and tying your hair back, you got to work. Making do with what was in the pantry, you were able to make blueberry oat pancakes with honey syrup. The blueberry aroma filled the house. Just as you had finished up, Carl came out of his room.
He rushed down the stairs to see what the delicious smell was from, and possibly taste it. When he finally reached the kitchen, he awkwardly introduced himself and picked Judith up from her high chair, "Oh, uh, hello. I'm Carl." His father had told him about a babysitter for Judith, but he was still surprised to see that you were the reason for the yummy smell.
"Good mornin'. I'm Y/N, I'll be babysitting Judith. Would you like some blueberry oat pancakes?" You replied with a kind smile and he quickly nodded his head. He sat down at the table and you placed a plate of food down in front of him. Without any hesitation, he dug into the pancakes. You gave Judith some nibbles of pancake as well since she watched Carl with interest.
Rick walked down the stairs, fully dressed in his constable uniform. It consisted of black jeans, a blue button up, a tie, and a jacket. He looked just as scrumptious as the pancakes. Carl briefly looked away from the food to greet him, but immediately went back to it afterwards. You on the other hand, had a hard time taking your eyes off him.
"What did'ya make?" He asked curiously and walked towards you. The pleasant aroma of blueberries and honey had caught his attention, just as you planned.
"Blueberry oat pancakes with honey syrup. Would you like some?" You softly replied, getting shy at his close proximity. He was taking in the sight of you in the apron with your hair pulled back, you were stunning. His paranoid opinion of you from had clouded his brain, stopping him from noticing this earlier. But of course, he would never make any advances to you. You were much younger than him, and you were just doing your job. Right?
"I'd love some," He answered and watched as you prepared him a plate of the blueberry oat pancakes. You handed him the plate, accidentally brushing your soft and gentle hand over his rough and calloused ones. The touch sent a rush of heat through your body and his. He did a quick head nod to show his appreciation for the food walked towards the table.
Rick closely inspected the food when you turned your focus to the dishes. He cut a piece of pancake and observed it as if it were some kind of laboratory creation. Carl noticed his fathers behavior and insisted, “C’mon dad, it’s not like she poisoned it or something.”
Rick shot his son a look before hesitantly putting the forkful of pancake into his mouth. His eyebrows raised in surprise when he tasted the flavorful masterpiece. You turned away from the dishes to see his reaction to your cooking. “I hope you guys liked it, I know this little one did,” you asked as you moved towards the table and picked Judith up.
Rick straightened up a bit, savoring the taste in his mouth. "They're real good. Lori used to make 'em every sunday and they were awful, but god, I miss her..." He trailed off, realizing he had just brought up a piece of his past with a stranger. The atmosphere in the room shifted into a tense and awkward fog. Carl's eyes darted from his empty plate to Rick.
You weren't really sure what to say to the random burst of grief, so you simply responded with, "I'm sorry, if you ever need to talk about it, I'm here." Before Rick could reply, Carl quickly thanked you for the food and rushed out of the house. He didn't even bother taking his plate to the sink.
Rick muttered a "thank you" and stood up from his chair without finishing his food. You watched in disappointment as he walked out, the sound of the front door slamming echoing in the silent room. As if on queue, Judith began to cry.

October 28, 2023
The bar was having a Halloween party.
I didn’t want to go, I’d been working all day at my new job and was exhausted, but Sabrina insisted.
What was my new job, you might ask? Well, the previous May I’d graduated with a Masters in criminology. I wanted to seek higher education but was still deciding what and where. In the meantime, I was interning at a law office nearby. It paid shockingly well, they were a small practice but extremely successful and valued their employees a lot so they showed it by giving them a lot of money.
I didn’t have time to go pick out a costume, so Sabrina assured me she would get me one, much to my dismay. Due to this, I went there straight after work, bringing my makeup and stuff with me so I could just get ready at the bar like I had many times before.
She met me at the door with a bag and shoved it in my hands, giggling all the while, making me frown. What had she cooked up?
I was mortified when I opened the bag and found combat boots, the smallest black dress I had ever seen, and someone’s fatigue shirt. Whose? I don’t know. I wondered the same thing.
“I am so not wearing this. Somewhere is bound to be open, I’ll go see-“
“NO! You know good and well this is the best way to get these dumbass military boys to buy you drinks.”
“Who says I want these dumbass military boys to buy me drinks?”
“You do, trust me, you need a night of flirting with a bunch of men more than anyone else I know. Now get your sexy ass in the back and get ready!”
I sighed, rolling my eyes so hard I thought they would get stuck that way, and did as she told me, heading to the small room in the back that we usually changed and touched up makeup in. It had bad lighting but we’d placed lamps in front of the mirrors, and it had a small set of lockers for anyone who worked there to put valuables in, but they didn’t actually lock so I didn’t understand the purpose of them.
Once I managed to get everything on, I had to admit I looked good. Turned out the dress was basically just a nearly sheer lace slip, but it blended in perfectly with my black bra and thong, which made it feel just a tad bit more modest than it actually was. The combat boots actually paired well with it and the fatigue shirt. I already had gold jewelry on, and I just kept it, thinking it made the look even a little better. All that was left was to touch up my makeup and curls.
Once I stepped out into the bar area, leaving my clothes behind trusting nothing would happen to them, I was bombarded by Sabrina, Dylan, and the new bartender who’d taken my place. She was cute, honestly, tall and skinny with big dimples on her cheeks. I figured she was doing well, and she seemed nice.
“You look so good!” They told me, fawning over me. I laughed, waving them off, sitting at the bar and waiting for it to get busy. It always did on the night of the Halloween party, without fail.
The music was loud, and all of it was either dark and sexy or Halloween themed. Decorations were hung up, less in depth than I usually did. Sabrina always hated decorating and I guess the new girl did, too.
“Hey,” Sabrina sat next to me, “It feels like it’s been forever!”
“It’s been like, three days,” I deadpanned, brows furrowed and she laughed.
“Yeah, but we used to spend damn near every day together. It’s so lame here without you.”
“But you have that new girl, right? She seems nice, maybe you could be friends.”
She rolled her eyes and I got comfier in my seat, knowing she was about to tell me all about the drama. “She’s awful.”
“I gathered that from the eye roll, now spill!”
“Alright, so when she first got here, she acted like she was just really eager to learn. Then ‘eager to learn’ turned into ‘eager to feel up my husband every chance she got.’ Fucking slut.”
I gasped, leaning in farther, “She felt up Dylan?”
“Yes!” she sounded exasperated, “He was showing her how to make a couple drinks and she just got right up on his side and started rubbing his arms and his back!”
“That bitch,” I furrowed my brows.
“I know! So he told me to take over showing her the ropes, and I have, but I wanna just fuckin’ fire the stupid cunt. She’s an idiot anyway and she can’t do anything right!”
“Well then why hasn’t he fired her yet?”
“Because his dad is wrapped around her finger and doesn’t want him to.”
“That bitch!” I huffed, “Well if she touches him again I’ll beat her ass for you. I don’t work here anymore, I can’t get in trouble.”
“I know you will. Just tell me first so I can film it, we’ll pop some popcorn and have a movie night.”
I raised my drink and she clinked it with her own, taking a sip with me. I eyed the new girl, in awe that she could seem so nice but be such a snake.
Around 9, the place was full, and I was dancing with a few friends that had shown up. We were just jumping around on the floor, a few guys around us dancing with us. It was fun, more fun than I’d had in a while.
I didn’t even notice they’d shown up until one of my friends started talking about the sexy guy in the mask. I furrowed my eyebrows, hope sparking in my chest as I looked around and saw him at the bar, the new girl in front of him, leaned over, giving him a front row seat to her tits. I nearly fumed, excusing myself and briskly making my way over.
I stood behind him for a second, trying to catch a hint of their conversation. It didn’t seem like he was giving her much from what I could tell, and she seemed to be getting more and more desperate for his attention by the second.
“Ghost,” I cleared my throat from behind him.
“I was wondering how long it’d take you to realize I was here.” He spoke without even turning around. The new girl made her way to the other side of the bar, giving him a moment alone.
“Maybe I was waiting for you to come to me.”
“You looked like you were having fun, didn’t want to disturb you.”
“I was,” I sighed, “Are you gonna look at me? Or are you gonna keep staring at her tits?”
He chuckled, turning around fully to face me in his seat. My breath hitched, I didn’t expect him to do that.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?” he patronized me, “You wanted my attention now you got it.”
I took a few steps closer to him, “Just a little sad. See, you’re supposed to be looking at me.”
“Well, I’m looking at you now,” his voice was low and dark and his hands settled on my hips, pulling me a little closer, “What’re you wanting, huh? A compliment? Want me to tell you how good you look in this little piece of fabric you call a dress?” I nodded frantically, biting my lips and his eyes followed the motion, “You haven’t earned it.”
I gasped, eyes widening and he laughed again, this time fuller. His hands tightened on my hips as he lifted me into the stool beside him, gesturing new girl over and ordering me and Malibu Pineapple. I caught the dirty look she sent me, but I didn’t have a fuck to give. My brain was short circuiting over the way he just.. lifted me into the chair, and the way he remembered what I wanted to drink.
“Thank you,” I offered him a smile, taking a sip.
“Probably not the first free drink you’ve gotten tonight.”
“No, it’s not. But it’s my favorite free drink I’ve gotten tonight.”
“Suck up.”
“I would, if you’d just give me the chance,” I winked and the whites of his eyes showed a little more for a second as he widened them.
“You’re impossible.”
“Then why do you keep coming back for more?”
My hands were on his thighs then, both of us facing each other in our chairs, and I let my hands roam slightly but not to anywhere too scandalous.
“Guess what the fuck that bitch just did!” Sabrina’s voice broke the trance, and I looked at her expectantly, “She said you cockblocked her and started whining about you. Like I’m gonna choose her side over yours, be fuckin’ for real for a second!”
I raised my eyebrows, “Cockblocked, huh? Sounds like new girl wants you bad, Ghost.” He grunted in response, lifting his mask to take a sip of his whiskey. “Don’t moan and groan at me, you were the one undressing her with your eyes. Want me to get her number for you? Maybe you can take her home.”
Sabrina looked at a loss for words, and her eyebrows were raised in concern but she saw her way out of the situation. Smart choice.
“Sweetheart, stop.” His voice was a command. Deep and final. But I just couldn’t leave well enough alone.
“Oh, honey, I’m just getting started,” With that, I was up and across the bar, dancing with my friends again and trying to ignore him. A few guys came up to me, one wrapping his arm around me and trying to grind on me but I pushed him away a little with a laugh.
“You can buy me a drink, but you can’t touch,” I teased, but my face went dark and his hand landed a smack on my ass.
“If you didn’t wanna be touched, why’d you wear this?” he asked me, leaning his head down for a kiss that I dodged, elbowing him hard in his chest.
“My outfit isn’t a free pass to touch me, you stupid fuck.”
“At least I’m not a stupid slut,” he slapped my ass again, but this time I was ready for him. I grabbed his arm and twisted hard, wrenching it around behind him. Once I had him where I wanted him, I kicked the back of his knee and sent him to the floor, me standing over him and holding him hostage there.
“You want a broken arm? Because you’re sure asking for one.” My tone was angry, forceful, more assertive than I could ever remember it being.
“Fuck, get off of me,” he growled, trying to pull away but I twisted harder and he let out a gasp.
“Get the fuck out of the bar, and don’t come back until you can learn to keep your hands to yourself,” I growled at him, letting him go just to kick him in the back and send him all the way to the floor in a heap. He turned over and laid there, staring up at me.
“That’s not your choice to make,” he smirked, still cocky after what had just happened and I raised a brow.
“No, it’s mine, and I agree with her. Get out.” Dylan’s voice was like a lifeline as he grabbed the guy by the shirt and pushed him out of the doors. I breathed a sigh of relief when he was gone. “Good job, killer,” he high fived me and I grinned, “If you didn’t have that fancy new job I’d ask you to be the new security guard.”
I giggled as he walked away, trying to come down from the adrenaline of everything. The bustle around me made it hard, though, so I walked outside, holding myself tight to battle the cold. I heard the door open and shut behind me and imagined it was Sabrina, but I knew I was wrong when he walked towards me, his heavy footsteps giving him away.
“You alright?” he asked me, and I turned around slowly, nodding.
“I’m fine.”
“That was pretty impressive, what you did in there. Maybe you can take care of yourself.”
“I’ve told you that a million times but you had to see it to believe it, huh,” I chuckled but my words were venom, staring down at my feet.
“You gonna tell me why you’re acting like this?” he changed the subject.
I responded with a quick, “No.” He looked frustrated, speechless almost.
“You can just tell me you’re jealous. It’s obvious enough.”
“Jealous? Of what? Sally McSlutface laying her boobs out on the bar like a personal menu for you? Yeah, I’m green with envy, let me tell you,” my tone was biting, sarcasm laced in every word, pure hate dripping from me when I talked about her. Maybe she hadn’t done anything to deserve it. Maybe Ghost wasn’t mine and I had no claim to him. Maybe he could talk to whoever the hell he wanted and look at whatever the hell he wanted.
He breathed out a laugh, staring at the sky hopelessly, begging for the patience he needed to deal with me. “You are green.” His eyes snapped back down to me. “Whose shirt you got on, anyway? One of these soldiers that comes in here and hits on you? What’d you have to do for it?”
“I didn’t do anything for it, asshole, I don’t know whose it is.”
“Right, that makes sense,” his tone was patronizing again and it set me on fire, anger building inside of me.
“You’re gonna get mad about me wearing someone else’s fatigues when you’re in there eyeing up that dumb bitch like she’s fucking candy or something? You fucking asshole.”
“I’m not mad, baby, you’re the only one that’s mad,” but he sure sounded mad, and I didn’t believe a word that came out of his mouth. I didn’t even dwell on the word baby.
“I’m not mad!” I yelled, then tried to calm myself down, “You know what? Go fuck her. See how much I care. I have my own plans for the night.”
I attempted to walk past him, but he grabbed my arm, stopping me in my tracks. “Don’t do anything stupid just because you’re throwing a fit like a fucking brat.”
“Wanna see how much of a brat I am?” I couldn’t tell whether my words were foreboding or inviting. “Come back inside.”
I shook away from him and stormed into the bar, beelining it to Sabrina and Dylan.
“Remember two years ago when I danced on the bar for Halloween?”
“Yeah,” they both nodded.
“I’m doing it again. Put on the song.”
Their eyebrows were raised but they nodded, and Dylan went to the stereo system to get it going.
“You good?”
“I’m fine. I’m taking your advice and moving on. Or showing him what he’s missing. Whatever, I don’t give a fuck. Plus it’ll make that new girl mad.”
“Well, when you put it that way,” she grinned, “Get your fine ass up there and show them who’s boss!”
I grinned back as the familiar tune began. I made my way onto the bar and some of the guys there noticed and began to gather around. Right at that moment, Ghost walked back inside and the second his eyes found me, he looked homicidal.
I began swaying my hips to the beat, winking at him and increasing my movement with every lyric.
Heaven help me, the devil wears lace and she can’t be tamed.
If I were wealthy, spend every last dime just to hear her say my name.
I flipped my hair around, slipping the big shirt off and throwing it to Sabrina who was watching from behind the bar with a huge smile on her face. She handed me a bottle, one of the cheapest liquors they had as the chorus hit.
So light me in flames
Just as hot as you need
Let me see the good girl you wanted to be
I turned my back to the group of people gawking and cheering, bending over and reaching between my spread out legs to pour two shots worth of liquid into one of the guy’s mouths, which brought on more cheers.
My eyes caught his as I turned back around and felt myself up, hands sliding from my chest to my thighs, squeezing the fat there as my motions got sharper with every beat.
All of my praise, only from me
I can be the one who can set you free
He made his way over to the bar and I grinned, turning my back again and doing a small spin, hanging on to the rail at the top of the bar for support then shimmying down, surely flashing some people but I wasn’t concerned.
Fall from your grace
Turn up the heat
I feel I’m going down, hands gripping the sheets
I sat sideways on the bar, leaning back on my arms and arching tightly with my head thrown back, then turned over and raised my hips, arms stretched in front of me and ass on display and he snapped. He ripped his jacket off and threw it over me, hauling me off the bar and outside. The people there seemed dumbstruck, and I barely heard the end of the chorus before the door shut.
“What the fuck were you thinking?” he growled, setting me down in front of him.
“Do I have to think about everything I do before I do it?”
He let out a sharp laugh, “You are the most danger prone girl I have ever known. Yes, you have to think about dumbass decisions before you make them.”
“All I did was dance on a bar,” I rolled my eyes, pulling his jacket tighter around me in the cold.
“Yeah, right, that’s all you did. Now everyone in there has seen your ass, you feel good about that?”
I set my jaw, letting it tick as I thought over my answer. “You’re talking to me like I’m some kind of whore. Maybe I just wanted your attention.”
“You have that already. Give me a real reason.”
“Maybe I just wanted the attention you gave her.”
“What attention? You’re so fucking delusional. I didn’t even look at her. I don’t give a fuck about her. I came here for you. My team came here for you, and they’re in there having the time of their lives because they got more of you than they bargained for. There’s only one girl that I want to drive me up the fucking wall, and it’s not her!” he was yelling, seething really, his tone harsh and cutting deep but then I let his words settle in along with the feeling of stupidity.
“Ghost, I-“
“Fuck, don’t call me that, my name is Simon,” his voice was still raised and it’s like he didn’t even realize what he’d said until it was out, and we were both taken harshly aback.
I let my mouth drop open a little, taking one step closer to him.
“Simon,” I tried it out and I liked the way it felt rolling off my tongue. I think he liked it too, judging by the way his face softened and his eyes darkened. “Forgive me,” I implored, getting further into his personal space. Crowding him out, really, until my perfume must’ve been suffocating him, thinly veiled by the jacket he’d thrown over me. He didn’t answer. “Forgive me,” I repeated, urgently this time. “Want me to get on my knees and beg? I will. Not for anyone else, but for you, I’ll do it.” He just kept staring at me as I rambled on, “I was jealous, Simon. So jealous, can’t help it with the way she was looking at you. Had me so angry-“
He cut me off, yanking his mask up to his nose and grabbing my throat, pulling me to him and kissing me. I yelped, shocked by the impact, but it only took me seconds to fall into a rhythm, melting where I stood and whimpering for more.
“Such a little slut, begging for me like this and I haven’t even touched you,” he groaned, pulling away to kiss down my neck. I let out a shaky moan, arching into him as his mouth drifted lower.
Fuck, Simon, please,” I whined, and he laughed.
“I should’ve told you my name a long time ago,” he mused as he brought his mouth back to mine, claiming it as his own. He backed me slowly into the wall, huge hands circling under my thighs and lifting until my legs were wrapped around him and I was caged in his arms.
I got more desperate, squeezing him closer and breaking the kiss to groan when he pressed into me. He was big. Big was an understatement.
“Don’t think that’s gonna fit,” I breathed out and he laughed, nuzzling into me.
“Not tonight it’s not.”
“What?” I was panicking, the need for him growing in me with every passing second.
“Not gonna take you for the first time after a fight like that, baby,” he kissed me again, “Gonna make you wait for it.”
“I’ve been waiting-“
“Don’t whine,” he shut me up, “Makes me want you too bad. Now come on, let’s go back in.”
I pouted as he set me on my feet, all turned on with nowhere to let it out. I followed him as he dragged me inside, pulling his mask down at the same time.
We garnered some stares as we walked in, hand in hand, people obviously knowing exactly what was going on. There were some surprised looks, I wasn’t exactly known for being seen with a man or even settling for a man at all. People were used to be flitting about, flirting but never enough to care.
“Everything okay?” Soap asked as we approached their table, where Sabrina and Dylan were already standing, chatting away.
“We’re just fine,” Simon nodded, and I stayed quiet, blush on my cheeks still, and my eyes might as well have had hearts in them as I gazed at him.
“You’ve got a little… bruise….” Sabrina muttered, grazing her thumb over a spot on my neck and I gasped, pulling the jacket up higher. Everyone laughed at that, and it looked like even Simon smirked but I couldn’t quite tell under the mask.
He pulled out a chair for me and one for himself right beside me and I sat down. They kept cracking their little jokes and I kept not saying much, too lost in thought. I wanted him and I wanted him bad.
I placed my hand on his thigh, rubbing slightly and making my way further and further up. He slapped it away but I just put it back, continuing my ascent. “If I leave, will you follow me?” I whispered the question in his ear, and he just looked at me, but the way his eyes grazed over me let me know he was on the hook. I smirked, pulling my hand away and fleeing to the back room.
The new girl came in behind me, her face twisted in blatant annoyance.
“You can’t be back here,” she spat.
“Yet somehow, I am,” I giggled, waving her away, “Anything else?”
“I thought you were nice when I first met you earlier, but you’re really just a bitch, huh?” I cocked a brow as she let those words slip.
“Do you want to find out just how much of a bitch I am?” I questioned, and she didn’t back down. “Get out. Now. Go ride a dick in the bathroom or something like you’ve been trying to all night.”
“I think I will, in fact I think I’ll go for that man in the mask,” she smirked and before I could even laugh, he came in.
“Fuck off,” he grunted, “This seat’s taken.”
I snorted and she just gawked.
“She isn’t even supposed to be in here!” she huffed.
“Go tattle on her, then,” he barked, and she jumped, making her way out of the room. Once we were alone, he closed the door, turning the lock behind him. I smirked, walking towards him slowly, slipping the jacket further and further off with every step until it was on the floor.
“Just gonna leave my jacket on the ground like that?” he asked.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make up for it,” I winked, finally reaching him and placing my hands on his chest, balling them in the thin fabric of his shirt.
“Sweetheart,” he groaned, “You’re playing a dangerous game.”
“I don’t care, as long as I win,” I clicked my tongue, sinking slowly down to one knee, and then the other.
He let out a ragged breath as my hands slid down, tugging his belt until it was unbuckled and sliding out of the loops. Then I got his button and zipper undone, pulling down just enough to expose his boxers slightly.
“Aw, my poor Simon, you just wanted me to touch you, huh?” I cooed, pulling the boxers down enough to expose the tip. “I got you this turned on, baby?”
“Don’t forget your place,” he growled, but his actions were sweet as he brushed my hair back from my face lightly.
“I know my place,” I smiled, “On my knees with my mouth wrapped around you.”
He all but growled, hips bucking into my touch. When I raised a brow, he admitted, “Been a while.”
“For me, too,” I offered, hoping it would make him feel better, before pulling his boxers down further and exposing the entirety of him.
“Fuck,” I gasped, “You’re huge.”
“Gonna keep talking about it or put your mouth on it?”
I didn’t need any more encouragement, getting straight to work, starting with a stripe licked up the back and ending by sucking the tip into my mouth, twirling my tongue around it teasingly.
“Fuck, please,” he breathed out, hand pulling my hair tighter as I took more of him. I had to ease my way down to adjust my throat, but once I got as much as I could in, I started moving back and forth. He held me there until my eyes were teary and wet, my throat completely expanded, and I let him use me.
“Wanna see you,” he told me and I nodded as well as I could, humming around him and pulling my dress and bra down to expose myself, the air making my nipples hard as they’d ever been. I’m sure he had something to do with that, too. “So fucking - agh - perfect, so perfect for me, fuck please keep going,” he sounded broken, but not in the same way other men I’d been with did. He sounded needy, like he’d been waiting his whole life for that one moment and he never wanted it to end. I’d never felt that from anyone before, and I wanted more of it so I got greedier with him in my mouth, savoring the weight of him on my tongue.
“Fuck, y’gonna make me cum,” he gasped, squeezing my hair to pull me back a little as his hips stuttered. It was a sweet gesture, to keep from hurting me with his movements, and I moaned around him, which seemed to tumble him right over the edge. He groaned with one last thrust of his hips and pulled out just enough for me to open my mouth wide and stick out my tongue, letting him let go right there inside of it. He watched closely as he did so, enjoying every second, right to when I swallowed it all.
I grinned after he came down, pulling his boxers back up and doing his pants back up for him then standing and wiping my mouth gently.
“See you out there,” I winked as I began to walk past him, but he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to him, picking me up and bringing me to the small bench in the corner. He laid me on it, pulling me to the edge and kneeling in front of me, eyes dark on me.
“What’re you doin’?” I asked, breath coming out quicker, heart racing.
“Showing you what your place is, since you’re a little confused,” his voice was rough as he hooked a finger in my panties, pulling them off of me swiftly, “It’s laid out with your legs spread wipe open just for me.”
I gasped, squirming under his gaze as he brought a finger down to swipe through my folds.
“Please,” I whimpered, and he chuckled.
“That’s it, what a good little slut, begging me to touch you. What do you want from me baby? Want my fingers in this little cunt?”
I nodded frantically, eyes wide and pleading, and he obliged, ripping his gloves off and slipping one finger in. I let out a broken moan as he went in and out, thinking it couldn’t possible get better but then it did as he slipped in two, fucking me with his digits, curling them around that spongy spot inside of me.
“Simon, I - fuck - please -!” he went a little faster, and I tried my best not to scream but it was so hard.
Then, all at once, he went away.
“What are you-“
“I’m not goin’ anywhere, calm down,” he shushed me and I relaxed, lying back and watching as he grabbed his jacket. He walked over to me, placing one of the sleeves over my eyes and tying it behind me, making a blindfold of sorts.
“What’s this for?” I asked, and I heard a bit of movement and something being set down before he grabbed my hands and lifted them to his face, laying them down there on bare skin.
I gasped, feeling around, greedy for more then I found it in his hair. I tugged lightly, loving how it felt in my fingers, and he groaned. Before I could even process his bare face, he’d leaned down and kissed me again, his fingers going back to where I needed him most and pushing back in. I rutted against him desperately as his tongue explored my mouth, then moved downwards. To my neck, then my chest, spending a little extra time there teasing me, then down my belly and to where his fingers were.
He circled his tongue around my clit and electricity shot through me as I let out a shriek, my legs falling over his shoulders and pulling him closer as my hand fisted in his hair. He lapped at me like a man starved, working harder for me than anyone ever had, coaxing me farther and farther open until I didn’t feel like I could even inhale. He noticed, pulling away just enough to rasp, “Breathe, baby. I’ve got you, just relax and let me make you cum.”
I moaned again, back arching as I began feeling that peak inside of me getting closer and closer. He could feel it too, so he sped up his movements and added another finger, tipping me over the edge and fucking me through it as I wailed. What felt like forever later, I collapsed in a heap, gasping for breath.
A minute later, he took the jacket off of my face and I pouted when I saw his mask was back on, as well as his gloves. I started to get up but he stopped me with a hand on my chest, laying me back down.
“Hold on,” he ordered and I did, watching him look around for a second before coming back with a little towel he’d found. He carefully cleaned me up, and I watched him in a daze, those dangerous feelings bubbling up in my chest once more. I was a goner for him, and suddenly the thought that he had to leave soon hit me and my eyes were getting hot.
“I’m gonna keep these,” he smirked as he pocketed my underwear, and I nodded, staring at the ceiling. He got quiet, taking note of my attitude change and furrowing his brows. “What’s wrong?” I didn’t answer and panic set in. “Was that not okay? Did you not want that? Fuck - I’m sorry, I-“
“No,” I shook my head, “I wanted it. It was good. Perfect, even. I just… I feel like I can’t tell you what’s wrong.”
“Why?”
“Because you’ll laugh at me.”
“Promise I won’t.”
“You have to leave. I just feel…”
“Used?”
“No,” I placed my hand on his to quiet those thoughts in his head, sitting up carefully, pulling my dress back to somewhat modesty. “Sad.”
“Oh,” he said, seeming surprised. “You know, sweetheart, I’m not the kind of man you wanna care about.”
“It’s a little too late for that.”
“I’ll be back. I promise I will.”
“And if you can’t keep that promise?”
“I can.”
The tears fell then and he sat beside me, pulling me into his arms as I cried. “Shh,” he whispered, “It’s okay. I’ll be back. Just let it out.” His hand was rubbing circles on my back, easing some of the pain. I couldn’t believe how vulnerable I was being, but I felt completely wrecked and he hadn’t even fucked me, and now he had to leave. Of course I was vulnerable,
I stopped crying, pulling slightly away from him and wiping my face as best I could.
“We should go back out there. Try to have a good night.”
“Baby, I’ve already had a good night,” he chuckled and I let out a little giggle too.
“Okay, then let’s try to keep the good night going. Come on. There’s no telling what they’ve said about us by now.”
“Probably nothing that wasn’t true.”
“Yeah…” I mumbled, “We haven’t been too subtle, huh?”
“I think when you showed your ass to everybody in the bar, subtlety went out the window.”
“Probably,” I laughed, standing up and bringing him with me. He slipped the jacket back over my shoulders as we walked out.
“You don’t have underwear on, I’m doing damage control.”
Just as I expected, everyone picked on us, and the night was full of endless innuendos. I just stayed quiet and shy, gazing at Simon, and it almost seemed like he was gazing back. He kept either his arm around me or his hand on my leg for the whole rest of the night, seeming like he didn’t want to let me go.
Unfortunately, the time came that he had to, and we all parted ways and he walked me to my car, still holding me to his side.
“You gonna be ok?” he asked, hand cupping my cheek as I stared at him with those same heart eyes I had for him before.
“I think so,” I grinned and his eyes fell to my lips.
“I meant what I said,” he told me, “I’ll be back for you.”
“I’ll be waiting,” I hummed, pulling him a little closer until I was trapped between him and my car, but there was nowhere else I’d rather be.
He lifted his mask to his nose again and I smiled, knowing what was coming. His mouth fell down to mine, slower than before but just as intense. It was short and sweet, but memorable, and I chased him as he pulled away.
“Go home, sweetheart,” he mumbled, kissing me on the forehead before putting some distance between us. He started to pull his mask down but I stopped him, jumping on him one last time in a panic and kissing him with everything I had. It lasted longer and left us both breathless. When I finally stepped back, he just smiled at me, and I realized it was the first time I’d seen his real smile. It was the prettiest thing I’d ever had the luxury of seeing, and I pouted when he covered it up.
“Please stay safe,” I told him, finally letting his hand go and getting in my car.

Tumblr media
— Erwin was once again held up in his office, doing his paper work for the evening. You knew he was the commander of the scouts regiment, but he’s also your boyfriend. You also knew that his position came with a great deal of responsibility, that he had to do these tasks in order to keep the scouts running smoothly. But you can’t help but wish for him to put off his duties some nights and just focus on you.
You softly knocked against the door that lead to Erwin’s office, you didn’t want to be too loud and disturb him. He must’ve known it was you because he allowed you to enter.
“Sorry to interrupt you, just wanted to check in.” You made your way across the room to the pair of chairs that sat in front of his desk for visitors to sit in.
“I still have lots to get done by tonight, planning a expedition comes with a great deal of paper work.” What he said wasn’t necessarily rude, it was the way he said it and his facial expression. He let it out with a sigh, which made him sound annoyed, and his face slightly scrunched up too.
“So another night spent in your office?” You moved from your spot in the chair and made your way behind him to softly place a hand on his shoulder. He brushed it off, and picked up his quill.
“I’m the commander, I will do what has to be done” He continued on as he was before, and as he has been for the last few nights in a row. “You may leave now.”
You sucked your lower lip in slightly, feeling a sudden flash of emotion overcome you. He’s been drifting more and more away from me, we spend no time just the two of us anymore. I just want to be with him, function how a normal couple would.
You held it in though, what else could you do? Whining like a child wouldn’t change anything, it might even make it worse. He already sounded annoyed enough with just your presence.
So you left, just like he told you to.
You planned on visiting captain Levi, a close friend of yours for awhile now. On nights like these, ones in which Erwin wasn’t there to provide you with any company, is when you would pay Levi these friendly visits.
You found yourself knocking on a door once again, this time being Levi’s. He said to come in, he guessed it was you.
“Good evening, Levi” You politely greeted the captain. “May I sit?” He nodded and let out a quiet hum. You sat in front his desk. You noticed that there was a tea pot already made.
“Back again, l/n?” He asked, moving to a glass cupboard and grabbing two teacups. He brought them to where you you two were sitting, placing one by you and saving the other for himself.
You blushed a little bit at the fact that he had caught on to you coming so frequently. He must be irritated with me being here you thought as you started to get up from the chair. “I’m sorry, I’ll leave.”
“I’ve already poured your tea, don’t let it go to waste.” He said sternly, motioning his finger to point at the said cup of tea.
“Right” You smiled, getting comfortable again. “I’m still sorry though, I’ve been visiting too often recently.”
“Why is that?” Levi questioned, something told you that he already had his suspicions. Fact was Levi did know, he just wanted to play dumb and hear you admit it. “Shouldn’t you be spending your spare time with your boyfriend? He must be lonely without you.”
“Well actually, Erwin has been quite busy. Being commander is a tough job.” You tried to explain, but his face didn’t change. He still had a blank stare.
“Even too busy to make time for you?” That sentence made you stiffen. “Aren’t you his girlfriend? Shouldn’t he prioritize you over all else?” You hadn’t noticed but Levi had gotten closer, he was now behind you and was leaning down so that he could whisper in your ear.
“I’d prioritize you” This was said in a husky tone right against the shell of your ear. “If I had you I’d make time for you, I’d push off work for you, I’d spend every night with you.”
Your breath got caught in your throat, he was just so close and his voice was so smooth and he smelt so good. fuck
In the mean time, while you were lost in your head, Levi started to press light kisses to your ear that travelled down your neck. This definitely brought you back to reality.
“Levi, I- I’m with Erwin” you whined, but didn’t make a effort to stop his actions. But really, how could you? When you’ve been so lonely, when you’ve been thinking about fucking Levi every time you have come to his office.
“Don’t be dumb, tell me something I don’t know, sweetheart.” That nickname. It was the same one you have heard Erwin call you countless times, but not lately. And now Levi was using it.
“He’s your commander, your fellow soldier, he’s your friend!” You tried to reason, it was more for your sake then his. He didn’t seem to care much about what you were saying.
“Now you’re just doing it on purpose, I know all these things and I don’t care” He places one last kiss to the base of your neck, where it joins with your shoulder. “I can’t stand to see someone as great as you be treated like shit by that bushy-eyebrowed dick.”
He was in your vision again, kneeling so he could be level with your height as you sat. “I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want, the choice is yours. You deserve better.”
You stared into his piercing eyes, you always admired those eyes of his, they were just to intense. It’s like they locked you in when you looked into them.
You closed your eyes and pushed forward, pressing your plump lips onto his own. You initiated the kiss, making it a tender one filled with passion, but Levi soon took control. He pressed firmer, making teeth clash slightly, making it a sloppy kiss now.
He’s had enough with just kissing, he wants more, he needs more. So he quickly picks you up, carrying you bridal style. “We’ll continue this in my room.”
Lucky for you his room was conjoined with his office, so it was just behind a door. He resumed the make out as he carried you to his bed. He dropped you on the bed, making you bounce once or twice.
“Undress, everything off.” He commands as he undresses himself.
You do as your told, taking all of your clothing off and flinging them across the room, not caring where it ended up.
“Tell me, when was the last time Erwin fucked you?” He kneeled at your feet on the bed, wrapping his hands around each of your ankles and starting to rub them soothingly, waiting for your answer.
“Uhm” You attempted to think, how long has it been? Maybe a week? Maybe two? You couldn’t remember, but it’s been too long for your liking. “Awhile.” Is all you say.
“Thought as much.” With his hands around your ankles, he spread them far apart. “I guess I’ll have to break you in first before making you take my cock.”
He lays flat on his stomach between your now open legs, inching closer to your most intimate area. So close that you could feel his breath fanning against your skin.
“I’m going to eat this pussy, better than Erwin ever could.” Was all he said before he went down on you. Oh, and was he ever better than Erwin. His tongue was so skilled, he knew just the right pressure to apply to just the right spots.
Your hand slinked into his hair, gripping onto it to try to ground yourself. You couldn’t help but moan when he sucked hard on your clit. He focused on it for a bit; sucking, pushing, and flicking it until he was satisfied with his job. He then moved on to your hole, pushing the tip of his tongue in and out of it.
Your moans became louder and louder the longer he ate you out. And your grasp in his dark locks grew tighter.
“Levi! I..” You couldn’t finish your statement to warn him of what was to come. Your orgasm washed over you, making you a limp and panting mess.
“Think you’re ready now?” He was teasing you like he didn’t just make you cum. But you nodded anyways, because you couldn’t wait any longer, you needed Levi now.
He pulled you down the bed towards him, and you instinctively placed your legs around his waist and pulled him snug against yourself.
“Your going to forget all about your stupid boyfriend after I’m done with you.” He entered you with one big thrust, making all the air in your lungs disappear.
You hands desperately try to find something to hold onto, choosing Levi’s back. Your nails dig deep into his skin, slowly scratching down his spine while leaving red marks.
He starts a steady pace, relishing in the feeling of each others bodies. “Fuck, can’t believe someone would ignore this pretty pussy, leave her so lonely.”
The speed of his thrusts start to quicken, becoming more earnest. “I’d fuck this pussy everyday if I had the chance. Can I? Can I fuck it anytime I want?”
“MHM!” No words, you can’t form any from how good he’s making you feel.
Levi says no more, shifting his focus to the rhythm of his thrusts rather than talking. He goes down to bring you into a sloppy kiss, resulting in him pressing further into you. Both of you were nearing the end.
He let his head fall into your neck, he wanted to feel closer to you even though he was already inside of you.
“That bastard doesn’t deserve you.” He grunts out one last thing before he’s spilling into you. Which makes you come undone right after.
He pulls out and lays beside you, enclosing his arms around you and laying a kiss on your flushed cheek. “Stay here tonight, I’m sure that idiot won’t notice.”

New look [S. R.]
Spencer Reid x fem!reader
word count: 800
Summary: directly based on "The internet is forever" (5x22), when Reid's wonderful but short-lived boyband cut appears for the first time
Tumblr media
Most of you were sitting in the conference room when JJ got ready to present the case. That particular night you had slept very little and to perform at work you thought it necessary to prepare yourself a coffee Spencer-style, who, by the way, had not yet deigned to appear at the bureau's offices.
“This is Dorris Archer, she's the third woman to go missing in Boise, Idaho, this year, along with Paula Renmar and Samantha Rush” the blonde began to say, under the attention of the entire team “They went missing roughly 2 months apart …” suddenly she cut off her words and her gaze traveled behind you. Out of inertia you turned your head and your breath caught a bit when you looked at who it was.
Of course you were glad to see your friend finally show up, but you honestly hadn't expected to see him like this.
"Well, hello," JJ sneered, grinning in astonishment and approval at the man's new look.
Spencer took a seat in the chair next to you and all eyes fell on him, especially yours and Hotch's, albeit for very different reasons. You had gotten used to seeing his hair falling over his shoulders, even a couple of times you had come to help the man hold it with one of your scrunchies, but to be honest, the cut at that moment suited him much better than it should. It made him look cute and at the same time so… sexy? Yeah, maybe that was the word.
Although you wanted to say something, the words didn’t leave your lips and your boss was the first to speak:
"What, did you join a boy band?" he, miraculously, joked.
"No," Reid replied, genuinely confused, and that was reason enough for all of you, without exception, to start laughing. When he heard your laughter, he looked in your direction and smiled kindly in greeting, to which you responded with a friendly squeeze on his arm.
Emily mumbled something to follow up on the case, but even against your will your mind was occupied with a completely different matter; being more specific on a certain person right next to you. You kept blatantly staring at him for a long time and when he felt that attention you saw him turn his head towards you, an obvious sparkle of concern in his eyes. Out of respect for the unit, he didn't say anything to you, but as soon as JJ finished presenting the case and you both got up from the table, he walked over to you.
"What's going on?"
"What's going on about what?”
“You were staring at me a long time ago,” he pointed out, but it wasn't like you were hiding it “Do I look that terrible?”
When you realized the confusion that had been generated, you couldn't contain a laugh and that only increased your friend's nervousness. You two were the only ones left in the conference room, so no one would be able to hear what you had to say.
“Just the opposite, Spence. I was looking at you because I think you look very handsome” you confessed, smiling kindly at him from where you were, and one moment you saw him turn red up to his ears, because he probably didn't expect that kind of response.
"Are you serious?" he asked you timidly.
"Very seriously" you approached him to extend your hands up to his head so you could run your fingers through the strands of his hair. When he understood your intentions, he crouched slightly and simply enjoyed the contact "Although I've already gotten used to your long hair, I admit that I like this one too. It looks messier, like you're more rebellious"
"I was a little undecided about the shape," he told you, making his usual hand movements "but when I started to cut it, I thought it would be the best option and at the end I was afraid I was making a mistake, because I had never had it like that before"
“Did you cut it yourself?” you half squealed, looking at him in complete disbelief, and he nodded with a small smile “Handsome, smart, kind and now you're a barber. You're quite a jack of all trades, huh, Reid?"
"Enough, don't say those things" he laughed, turning all shy and silly at your flattery.
"Looks like I'll have to keep you away from the girls" you concluded playfully, while you winked at him and took your bag to get out of there "See you there, don't be late"
Spencer just chuckled to himself and watched you go, still internally debating whether he should take your shameless flirtations as a joke or if you really meant it. Whatever the case, he was grateful to have made that impulsive decision solely for the pleasure of hearing his little (not that much, really) crush call him handsome.

Okay, so it's probably just too late to get it out of my head now. I think I am obsessed with writing him obliviously obsessed.
Warnings: Mentions of obsessive/stalkerish behavior and invasion of privacy.
I guess this is a second part to this: Part I
^--------------------------------------------------------
ObsessedSatoru who randomly passes by your house on the days and the hours he knows you should be there. He tells himself he just cares about you and wants to make sure you made it home and the lights are on.
ObsessedSatoru who wonders if you are okay when you fail to attend the bakery one Friday. "I just wanted something sweet before starting the weekend", you had told him once, and he couldn't agree more. Seeing you was sweet for him too. Since that day, it had become some sort of tradition meeting you there on Fridays. Why would you not show up? This changes the script a bit, he thought.
ObsessedSatoru whose first thought is that you may be still at work but changes his mind after making a quick call to your workplace and having no one pick up. So they are closed already? Any other day he had wanted to check, he had called and spoken a few words to the receptionist. 'A nice woman', you had told him once, 'she won't leave until all of us have left the office.'
ObsessedSatoru who decides to check your home in case you had headed there earlier. Confusion, disappointment and worry, exactly in that order, bloomed in his head when he saw the lights off. A quick inspection inside confirmed you were indeed not there.
ObsessedSatoru who has memorized your weekly schedule as well as his own. He knew you were free that night and had planned for the two of you to not so casually meet after work. He would then have persuaded you into grabbing dinner with him and asked you to go out the following day on a 'friendly date' to try a new coffee shop, nothing out of the ordinary, although he was actually planning for something a bit more elaborate than just coffee this time.
ObsessedSatoru who calls you to ask if you are free for dinner right now. A direct call had not been part of his plan. He knew you were most likely to agree if spoken with in person, but he figured it was the fastest way to reach you.
ObsessedSatoru who frowns lightly at you not picking up. Were you busy? With what? Not at work, not at home and he was sure you had no plans for tonight. You had his number and would usually pick up quick enough. Had you ignored him? No, he didn't want to think like that. Maybe lost your phone? He wanted to call again, but wouldn't that be too pushy? No, he was your friend, so it should be okay, right?
ObsessedSatoru whose mood lightened when you call him instead. "Satoru? Sorry, for not picking up before." He could almost hear your apologetic smile. "Is everything okay?"
"Are you home yet?" Maybe he was being too forward, but wasn't he always? And his tone was as friendly as it had always been with you. Still, he felt funny asking such a question in the middle of your living room. He knew you were not home. "If you're free, do you want to grab dinner?"
You went silent for a bit, and he heard some voices in the background. Maybe you were busy after all.
He was going to ask you where you were, but you spoke sooner. "Sorry, we went out for dinner with some colleagues. Maybe..."
"What about tomorrow?", he interrupted. He could still save his plan.
You were hesitating. This is what he feared. "Sure, we can do something tomorrow."
Score. If you could only see the smile you put on his face.
ObsessedSatoru who ponders whether or not he should come back to your house later while eating his dinner alone. 'We went out for dinner with some colleagues.' He didn't know much about the people you worked with. Maybe he should fix that. Just for safety. You can never know these days, right?
ObsessedSatoru who decided to check on you and smiles when he sees you entering your home from afar. You are okay, so he can go to sleep soundly now.
ObsessedSatoru who plans one of the most exhausting 'dates' you have ever been on. 'What should we do next?', he kept saying, coming up with more things to do every hour just because he did not want your time together to end. Not that he would admit that though.
ObsessedSatoru who invites you to his place after the rain caught you at the festival where he had taken you. Contrary to what you may have thought, he keeps a neat apartment. "So neat that it is almost as if you didn't live here", you had said with a smile. He took it as a compliment.
ObsessedSatoru who laughs it off when you mention you buy the same shower gel as him after using his bathroom. What a coincidence that he also seems to like the same brand of coffee as you, no? "Great minds think alike", he grins as he pours your cup. If you looked through in his fridge and cabinets, you would probably find more 'coincidences'. Right, maybe his most recent grocery lists had been slightly inspired by his findings in your home. But he liked you, in the friendliest of ways, of course. What could be wrong with wanting to try the same things you seemed to like?
ObsessedSatoru who thinks there is only one thing in the whole apartment he doesn't want you to see: the bottle of perfume in the drawer of his nightstand. It was the same you wore almost every day. The same you were wearing when he met you and the same you had worn today. He had bought it on a whim a few weeks ago, when he passed by a store and suddenly thought he had smelled you. A silly buy, nothing more, but he knew that could make you raise an eyebrow.
ObsessedSatoru who keeps his eyes on you without realizing he is staring and blushes lightly when you put your cup of coffee down and speak in the most serious tone "You have been staring. Are you obsessed with me or something?" Your expression immediately changes when his eyes widen. You laugh at his reaction.
ObsessedSatoru who laughs too, but maybe he is being completely sincere when he replies "How could I not be?"

Make Up Sex
John Price x reader
Warnings: angst to fluff, smut, age gap, price is 41 and reader is 20, reader is a lieutenant, poc friendly, callsign Belial, only pronouns, Make up sex
Based on the prompt: “I can’t do this anymore.”
Words:1.6k
Tumblr media
Text messages. Your relationship with Price was a secret and you didn’t mind one bit. You’d both text each other like crazy even when you were sitting across the room.
Price: Date this weekend at 8?
You: Sure baby but where?
Price: That’s a surprise dear
The days flew by and you went on the date with John. This isn’t your first date with him, you've been with him for six months. And from what you could tell, no one knew you were the Captain’s lover. You made your way to John sitting next to him placing a kiss on his cheek.
He brought you to the park to watch Halloween on the big screen he had put up just so you could watch it. “Thank you, John.” You were happy and he loved it. “Welcome, love.” He watched as you watched the movie.
John wasn’t a fool but he was a complete fool when it came to you. A couple of days before your date Soap made a jab at him for having a crush on the younger lieutenant.
The messages between you and John were less frequent. John spending the night in your room had stopped. So when you see the text telling you to come to his office you jump up all happy and make your way to him.
Pushing the door open, you step inside. “Hi, baby.” You smiled but John raised his hand. “It’s Captain Lieutenant Beilal.” You frowned but covered it up. “What’s wrong Captain you needed to see me?” You spoke eyes watching him as he put out his cigar. “I can’t do this anymore Beilal.” You felt your stomach drop.
“Can’t do what Captain?” You felt a lump in your throat when you asked him the question. “This lieutenant! our relationship. People are going to think horribly of the two of us together. It's our careers on the line and if one of us were to go..." His voice trailed off. Your hands were in fists at your sides as your eyes twitched. "Why does it matter what others think about us, John? I don't give two rats asses what others think about us. I just want to be with you." You hissed out as he let out a sigh.
"This was a mistake, Kid. You need someone younger." Your heart fell in two and dropped to your stomach. "I need you, John." At this point, there was no hiding your feelings, your vision was blurry. "Beilal." You wiped your tears and stood up straight there was no sign of the emotions you had shown seconds ago. "Good day, Captain."
“'Cause girl, I'm hungover Let's just start over Gotta be more to love than this We should be naughty Connect our bodies You know I'm on it I'm on my knee”
Months went by and you spent your time avoiding the captain the best you could. While you could hide your pain, the others knew Price well. "Belial, I don't know, Price just seems Irritated lately." Soap spoke as you sat next to Ghost cleaning your guns. "I don't know and honestly don't care. Whatever is bothering the Captain is personal he would've told us what was happening." The others were used to you being blunt but what gave it away was the venom that dripped with every word. You didn't catch the look that Soap and Ghost threw each other. It was late so you bid the two goodnight and headed back to your room.
Once you were in the room you closed the door behind you and jumped on the bed and screamed into your pillow as a knock was heard from the other side of your door. "What!" You called out but there was no answer. The knocking continued. Getting up and opening up the door. "What do you want?" You looked over your ex-lover who stood there leaning against the doorframe. You could smell the alcohol on him.
“You love.” Grabbing your hips and pulling you against him. You pushed against him. “No, John.” You spoke trying to push him out the door. “Y/n please just one time.” You looked up into his eyes dragging him into your room and closing the door behind you as his lips trailed along your neck. “One time only John.”
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
The thing was it wasn’t one time only. You and John continued to fuck and it was getting to you now. So when John came and threw your door open closing it behind him with his boot only to find you sitting on your bed. “What’s wrong?” John was confused about why you were sitting there with your arms crossed. “John I can’t do this anymore.” It came out in a whisper. “Can’t fuck around with you and pretend that I don’t have feelings for you still.” You told him looking up at him from your spot on your bed. “You fuck me and do everything with me that we used to do in our relationship…I admit I still have feelings for you John. I love you but you can’t admit that you love me.” You watched as John watched you speak from where he stood.
“John say something!” You were now standing toe to toe with him looking up at him. His hand was twitching in irritation. “Beilal please.” Taking his hand. “John I admit I have feelings for you and I love you. But I need to know do you love me, John?” You whispered.
“I fucking love you Beilal and I’m so sorry I hurt you.” He pulled you in his hands cupping your face and placing a kiss on your lips. “Let me make it up to you love.” He spoke as he pulled away from the kiss leaning his forehead against yours. “Make it up to me John.” Once the words passed your lips, clothes were flying. John had stripped you both of your clothes in record time. Your body bounced slightly from the force of John throwing you on the bed as his eyes looked over your body, his fingers trailing your body as he kissed up your body, mumbling apologies to you. The way his fingers were featherlight and ghosted across your skin had you almost begging for more. “John, it's okay.” You looked down at him as he lay between your legs placing kisses and nibbling on your inner thigh. “Gonna take my time with you love.” His hand trailed down from your thigh to your now soaked pussy. “Shit.” He groaned as he dipped into your wet core and a small moan escaped your lips. “I barely touched you and your soaked honey.” His fingers pumped in and out before he slid them out spreading your arousal across your clit as you watched as he sat up and back on his legs as he fisted his dick. His thumb rubbed across his tips and his other thumb drew circles on your clit. Your moans and his groans filled the room as he wedged himself between your thighs, tip running between your wet folds before his tip pushed into you as groans spilled from both of you. The stretch from his dick was something that you hated and loved.
His hand wrapped around the back of your head, pressing your forehead against his as his hips rocked, filling you with his cock. He pinched your side as he bottomed out and you squirmed beneath him. When his pace increased, your moans increased in volume. Your mouth was covered as he gained speed. You moaned into your hand as he told you "move your fucking hand.". John reached up and snatched your hand away from you. “John they can hear us.” you breathed out as his pace got faster. “Let them hear you love.” He groaned placing a kiss on your nose. “Love you so much honey 'm sorry I hurt you.” John’s words were slurred with pleasure and you paid no mind as your nails dragged down his back. “Not gonna last need to fill you up.” He growls out as he drops his hands from your head as it falls against the pillow both of his hands now on your hips. His hips hit the backs of your thighs as your body rocks with him and he takes one of your nipples in his mouth and sucks on it. The knot in your stomach was growing and you were pretty sure if no one heard you before they sure did hear you now. “Fuck John m’gonna cum.” You moaned as John’s thrusts became brutal and he nearly had you in a mating press rubbing your clit as he bullied his cock in and out of your pussy. His head dropped from against yours to your neck as his tongue and teeth ran across your neck and collarbone. The knot in your stomach began to unravel as you felt your orgasm washing over you. As John fucked you through your orgasm, your pussy clenched around his dick. A moan escaped his lips as his pace got sloppy. "Fuck, sweetheart, you're making a mess," he muttered as he filled you up with his cum with one final thrust. He placed a kiss on your forehead before pulling out a hiss and watching his cum spill out. “Shit, that's a pretty sight to see.” As he gathered up the cum and pushed it back in your pussy.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
“Woah Captain you never told us you had a girlfriend,” Gaz spoke up once he walked into the gym seeing Price’s back littered with the scratches you left last night. “Who’s the lucky lass?” Soap spoke as the others waited as you walked in and placed a kiss on his cheek handing him a bottle of water. “NO FUCKING WAY.”

"So, how's it going? When did you return?"
Manicured hands clasped together, inviting Simon to keep talking. After your little impromptu reunion, you had texted him the next day, and between little jokes and mild flirting, Simon asked you on a date.
Let's catch up and see where it goes.
He had stayed the same since college. Ever straightforward and head-on with his words.
Even though the small restaurant bustled with people, you could still hear each other.
"Been alright. I was back a couple of weeks ago. I have been wandering the city to see any changes, but nah. The same. Can't say the same about you."
Your eyebrow arched at his words, which he quickly tried to explain.
"Not in a bad way! I swear! It just... took me by surprise seeing you so different. All I can remember is you wearing hoodies, jeans, or sweatpants."
Chuckling, you took a sip of your drink and pursed your lips.
"Had to get my glow up one way or another."
"What I'm trying to say is that you look fantastic."
"Thank you, Si. You look great as well."
And he did. Both of you had changed for the better. He used to be that average exchange student that was more remarkable for people making fun of his accent between lighthearted jokes and a bit of a chubber.
Simon was tall, but if it came to compare heights, he'd reach Miguel by the shoulders. He had to crane his neck up to meet his eyes. And now that he had been gone for nearly three years to pursue his dream of finishing his career abroad, he had changed physically.
Earning looks from the people as he walked by. He was handsome. But the goofiness and soft-spoken person he was remained the same.
Your glasses clinked as both of you enjoyed the talk.
His eyes remained fixed on your face with a guilty smile "I am sorry, though. For leaving so suddenly."
Your eyes widened softly at his words but quickly dismissed them.
"Are you kidding me? I would've done the same if I had a chance to study abroad with a scholarship, too. Don't feel guilty about it."
"I want to make things right and avoid any misunderstanding between us. Or for you to think I escaped from you."
You couldn't help but laugh and cover your mouth to tone it down.
"You say so like it was so bad and toxic!"
It was his turn to giggle.
"It was."
You gasped as he laughed while taking your hand.
"I'm joking, of course. I had fun those four months."
"Even though we barely had time in between classes?"
"Yes. I was so glad when we had to take that class together with... Miss Lyla, I think?"
"Oh! Office Automation. Yeah. Man, she was such a good teacher."
"She was unhinged."
You had to hold back an ugly snort as your cheeks reddened in laughter.
"She was. But I owe my job to her and Mi-... Mr. O'Hara." You swallowed, "That's what I do daily."
"I'm surprised you know Mr. O'Hara after all these years."
You've got no idea.
Your brow quirked nervously, and he leaned in towards you.
"Like, I heard so much about him back then, but I didn't know who he was, and when he introduced himself when I found you, it clicked. Didn't know he was that guy."
"That guy? What do you mean?"
Simon cleared his throat.
"I know this is an old story, but a couple of days before my dropout, I heard Miss Lyla and him were hooking up."
You blinked as little waves of confusion washed over you at this information. Even though Miguel had told you about his little affairs here and there, you didn't expect it to be with one of your favorite teachers.
"The things you learn. Like for real?"
"Yeah. I mean, both hooked a couple of times before he called it off, but don't believe me. The source was a girl that had a massive crush on him."
A little glint in your eyes shone as he mentioned Miguel stopping it.
"It makes so much sense now! She was one of the few teachers, along with Mrs. Drew, that you could see him being comfortable around enough to be more talkative."
You spoke, and he shrugged.
"I wouldn't know for real. I quit before the semester ended, and I never took classes with him remember? But damn, gossip was a thing."
"He was brutal."
"Oh, I bet. Mr. O’Hara looks quite intimidating. You passed?."
You laughed humorlessly
"I nearly fail. But I pushed through. He was demanding, but yeah."
"Right. College aside, are you still... y'know, living with your parents?"
"Oh no, no. I moved out. Mostly to be near my job."
"Great. I just moved in with my roommate as well. Nice guy, gives me his leftover pizza."
Both giggled and mocked at the silliness of the situation. It brought you back to times when you'd be holed up in the library, either talking or sharing quick kisses between studying sessions when you had the time to do so.
But right now, catching up with him felt good. Your social circle expanded in baby steps, which made you feel like a blooming social butterfly.
Simon's hand took yours to squeeze it softly with a charming smile.
"Wanna go for a walk?"
"Sure."
---
As days went by, your work grew more interesting. The new Bossman, Julius, was strict enough to make most of your coworkers work for real.
You had a couple of photoshoots redone since his eyes were as critical as his mouth. But you had not only learned. But apply those tricks to your arts and hobbies.
The knitting had improved despite the need to buy more supplies soon, but finally, you got the garter stitch right. And as predictable as it was, you'd get started with a scarf. So far, it looked decent, and the wools Hobie sold you seemed perfect for the task.
As you created a mental note to tell Hobie to save you some colors in your next paycheck your phone buzzed. Miguel's name on your screen gave your chest a little irregular thump upon remembering the conversation with Simon. It seemed like the perfect timing.
"Huh-lo?"
You could hear him laughing on the other line
"It's Aló, not huh-lo."
"I'm trying!"
He chuckled "Try harder 'cause that was awful."
"Teach me then." You rolled your eyes, and there was a silence as he gulped involuntarily.
"Are you sure?"
"You were already a teacher, so yeah. You want me to understand it, right? Then teach me."
His grip on his phone tightened as he sighed, asking for strength from the heavens.
"I will. Promise."
"Good. Anyways, is everything ok?"
There was a slight shuffling on his side of the call before the sound of a dragged chair made you scrunch your nose at the sudden noise.
"Yeah. Sorry for that, deep cleaning day."
"Oh? Cool. Want me to make you a Playlist for your cleaning days?"
His rich, deep laugh sent you chuckling, and your skin crawled.
"No, thanks. Though, music is a good way to start learning a language."
"Aye, sir. Any artist you recommend?"
He chuckled
"Might do get you a playlist for simple things. It's a good start."
"Why, thank you. Mr. O'Hara."
He groaned in annoyance, and you giggled. If you’d had any idea of how much he hated when you called him like that, he was sure you’d stop. Even if it was just to annoy him. It made him feel old.
"I appreciate it though. I always wanted to learn another language."
"How's the French going?"
It was your turn to groan. A 'How's Simon doing' would be the most accurate translation of it.
"Not so good. My tongue gets twisted. Might do ask Simon directly as well."
There was more shuffling on your line as you got the Bluetooth earbuds and linked them to continue your closet and makeup cleaning as you were on the call.
The silence stretched for a solid minute until you spoke again.
"Hello? Are you still there?
"Yeah, I was getting some coffee."
His tone was soft.
"Jesus, stop drinking that much coffee." You shook your head with a disapproving look you were sure he’d just laugh off. "Anyways, I wanna ask you something. And I need you to be honest."
"Why do I feel you're about to ask something ridiculous or unhinged?"
You laughed
"Up to you to decide if it is. Did you hook up with Miss Lyla?"
He burned his tongue at your sudden question with the coffee, truly surprised you’d ask such things.
"Oh... That." He cleared his throat, "I did. Just twice, though. Why?"
Your eyes widened as your mouth clammed up for a moment. As uncomfortable as it was, Miguel didn’t lie. After all, he had told you about these things in your first outing together.
"Was it before... or after me?"
Clearly. you remembered the conversation like a lucid dream.
Desperate times.
"Before. Why are we discussing this? More importantly, who told you this?"
You swallowed and sighed. His voice was a bit on the edge.
"Old stories I recently heard. And Simon did. Our date was full of old stories. I'm so glad he didn't take classes with you."
His eyes drooped in boredom upon you saying the word date. Of course, you’d have a date with him. It was natural to return to what one knew. He thought you were less naive than that but would watch it unfold from afar. He’d never miss a chance to say “I told you so”.
The satisfaction of being right about his intuition was a pleasure he enjoyed terribly.
"Bien pinche chismoso" (Such a freaking tattletale)
He grumbled after taking a sip of his bitter coffee
"Uh, what?"
"Nothing. I assume you dated him?"
You threw a couple of old eyeshadow palettes in the trash.
"Yeah, just for four months before he went back to France to finish his career there."
"How cute.”
“You’re just being mean. Don’t you trust my judgment?”
“ I don't trust Simon."
You laughed again, but his face remained serious
"Ah, C'mon. Why?"
"I was young too, guapa. Guys his age are up to no good."
You folded a couple of skirts as your lips pouted.
"I appreciate your concern regarding this. But seriously, Simon hasn't changed that much. He's the same goofy ass from college days."
He scoffed nonchalantly "Are you sure of it? People change. And sometimes is not precisely for the good."
You smiled at his words.
"Well, thanks for the support. Means alot. But I'll be fine."
You heard him sigh
"Right."
"And you're not that old."
He snorted as he put the half cup of coffee on the table
"I'm forty-two, guapa. I say I'm old enough to have my fair share of life wisdom. And that guy is certainly hiding something."
"I'm not arguing against that. You look like you have gone through a bit more stuff."
"Are you calling me a mess?"
Again, you laughed. The sound made him smile.
"My my, so sensitive!. I say you look mature enough. Even though I know maturity isn't linked directly with age, your way of carrying yourself about things makes you a reliable and trustworthy friend. I like that."
His eyes widened a bit at your words
"Didn't know you were into older guys."
"Yup. I mean, you guys know what you want. Or at least most of you do. And that's good cause I don't like teaching younger people what they want. I'm not a rehab center." Your lips pursed, "I like learning."
He gulped and wet his lips with his tongue.
"But yeah, anyways, thanks for calling. Always good to hear you."
"Likewise, guapa. Take care.""Bye, Miguel."
The call ended, and you smiled. Miguel on the other hand, rubbed his face as he pondered at your words.
You liked learning. That was certain. Either academically or in life. But you did. And he liked that too.

— Hello Sweetheart
Dad's number had popped out on your screen, but Hobie's rambling snapped his attention back to you.
You returned home from work a couple of hours early and Mrs. Brown invited you over for a cup of tea.
The apartment smelled like a mix of spices and herbs, along with a touch of vanilla cigarettes. The apartment had two bedrooms, the kitchen was bigger than yours just like the living room area.
Your apartment was the smallest on the floor. Everyone had a two or three-bedroom lease, but for you, a one-bedroom accommodated just fine.
Mrs. Brown was gentle but didn't doubt voicing her concerns and opinions with such delicacy and refinement one would think she'd be complimenting you. No wonder Hobie or  Hobart, a little giggle from you when she called him that when he arrived from work carried himself the way he did.
She was supportive and loving. The only authority I wouldn't rebel against said the tattoo artist as you accompanied him into getting his weekly grocery shopping.
His van had been in repair, and now he wasn't sure if he’d get any news anytime soon.
Hey, Dad. How are you? —
Hobie took a look at your piercings and approved your current care. You had also told him about the wools, even paid him ahead, which he used to pay for the groceries.
—Missing you, darling. Are you alright?
The question had you smiling softly. He was always so caring and worried about you. When you first told him you'd move out, he was glad. Congratulated you even, au contraire of your mom who started complaining almost immediately.
"Birdie?"
"Hm?
Your eyes left your phone screen to look at him.
"You good? Kinda spaced out there."
You nodded.
"Yeah, just talking with my dad."
"They want you to visit?"
You nodded with an annoyed groan.
Not that you disliked your parents. Their relationship with you was strained as it was.
"Hard upbringing?"
"More like... Not really there- sort of upbringing."
Hobie put the groceries in the back seat of your Cooper and sat on the passenger seat.
"Yikes."
You shrugged. Not dwelling on the past trauma wound that remained ever fresh. You drove back to the apartment building.
"Sorry to hear that. Seems like people  have kids to fill their inner voids."
"Right?! But man, saying that out loud is sure a social death sentence."
"Hypocrisy at its finest. Society is always changing, most of the time is never for good reasons."
You nodded but snorted softly.
"Whut?"
"Nothing, It's funny when we talk like phylosophers on weed."
Hobie chuckled and relaxed into his seat.
"You know? I owe you an apology."
"Whatever for?"
You stopped at a red light and looked at him.
"My mother... she said some comments I didn't like when she came up for a visit a couple of days ago."
"And why do you apologize on her behalf?"
I'm good. A bit busy with work as usual, but I was planning on calling you—
"No, I apologize 'cause it wasn't nice."
You mumbled as you typed in your screen.
"Why are you assuming other's wrongdoings as yours? And in all honesty, I couldn't care less what people think of me. Specially corporate slaves."
The light turned green and you drove again.
"I don't know. Just..."
"Apologize when you are the one at fault, birdie. The rest is irrelevant. Thanks for the warning tho’."
—Yeah, your mom told me that you still have things packed up and that you're not ready yet to live alone.
—Wanna talk about it?
If only his passiveness wouldn't be so dragging to the point of always ending up siding with your mother in little matters that only added more weight to the already full bag of terribly handled emotions. He'd be your favorite.
You parked in the building and helped Hobie to carry the shops. Mrs. Brown made you both a delicious English breakfast for dinner. They didn't believe in consistency, if Mrs. Brown wanted something, she made it. And her cooking was good, especially in the pudding making.
You hadn't looked at the screen yet, so blissfully ignorant to not care for a bit.
Hobie then kept boasting about how it was bad for people to keep assuming other's fault. He told his mom about it, and she just agreed. They had this strong bond you had stopped longing for a long time ago. It was easier for you to see smells and taste colors than to keep a healthy relationship with your parents.
—Honey?
But of course, you dreaded so many things. Even though the upbringing seemed the perfect chance to toughen your mind, angry confrontations weren't your thing. Cause in a hypothetical perfect world, everyone is emotionally intelligent enough to know how to express and regulate their feelings.
But neither the world nor your life were perfect.
You went to your apartment and finally took a look at the messages. Anger boiled in your head, and as usual, you'd have to explain yourself.
You were tired of it.
I would appreciate it if you'd stop believing everything Mom says.
The message was clear, but you deleted it last second as you snapped a quick video and sent it to him instead.
Do you see any boxes on the floor? —
It sounded way too curt and petty than you intended to, but maybe that way he'd start getting his criterion in check.
—No, I'm sorry. When are you coming for a visit?
When you stop taking sides
Again, the message was deleted. Being passive-aggressive with them wouldn't help either. Sighing, you typed once more.
Next weekend, but I will stay Saturday night only. I use Sundays for prepping for the week :) —
Not even Judas was so disingenuous as that emoji at the end.
—Oh gotcha, gotcha. Still, would be wonderful to have you over.
Please don't tell Mom. I want it to be a surprise. —
More like, I don't want her to be all nagging and harassing my inbox with her pretentious texts.
Your mind chanted
—Of course. Love you
Hopefully, she will be out on a business trip and you'll be enjoying with your dad.
Love you too, dad —
It was going to be draining and difficult. But you’d push through. You always did.
You had to.

Can you Darth Vader x reader
Searching for you
Tumblr media
* English is not my first language I apologise
* Gif is not mine
* Triggers; angst, swearing, and a bit of fluff
Y/N POV
I was walking through the ship, trying to find Vader. “I’m sorry, do you know where I can find Darth Vader?” I asked politely to a officer. “Woman, do you know who I am? Who you talking to?” He gave me a pointed look. “I asked you something?” “I’m sorry officer, I was only asking you something.” He shakes his head. “A woman like you has no business with Darth Vader, now if you excuse me I have a meeting to attend.” With that he flipped me off. ‘What an asshole.’ I walked further down the hallway till I saw Andrew a friendly mechanic. “Andrew, do you know where I can find Darth Vader.” He smiled at me. “Did you lost your husband again Y/N.” He chuckled at me. “Yes, do you know where I can find him?” He nodded. “Yes of course, follow me.” I did what he asked and followed him through the ship. “I don’t know if it’s the right time to meet him now, he has a meeting soon.”
We walked up to a meeting room. Troopers stood outside of the room. “I’m sorry nobody can enter.” “I understand but she has to.” “No.” Andrew sighed. “Do you know who she is?” “No, but she can’t enter.” I grabbed Andrews arm. “It’s fine, I’ll wait out here.” “No it’s ridiculous!” The doors behind them opened, the officer from earlier walked out. “What’s happening here….oh you again.” Andrew looked at me. “I already asked him.” I said to Andrew, He nods. “Listen here officer Sam, she needs to speak to….” The officer raised his hand. “I don’t understand why you can’t understand the word NO and I already told her that she has no business to do with Darth Vader… it’s outrageous that the two of you interrupting this meeting.” He looked at the troopers. “Make them leave..” he walked back inside as the troopers pushed us away. “Move it you two.” “I can’t believe this, you will regret this!” Andrew said while pointing at both of them. “Let’s go.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from them.
We were both waiting at the cafeteria for higher ranks. Officer Pierre walked up to us. “I’m sorry that it happened to you guys, I’ll make sure when the meeting is done that Darth Vader will come and get you.” “Thank you.” I gave him a small smile. “I got us some food and drinks” Andrew placed down a tray full with food. “For free.” He whispered to me. I smiled at him. I picked some food and started to eat. “They all going to regret it, the disrespect they have…” Andrew said while munching on some bread. “It will be fine, we wait for him.”
“Where is she?” I heard the robotic voice of Vader through the room. I looked behind me, he was talking to officer Pierre. “Over there my lord.” He looked at me, striking forward. I stand up and walked over. “You wanted to speak to me?” “Yes but I forgot.” My lip starts to tremble. His hand went up to my face. “What happened?” Andrew stood up. “If I may my lord.” “Speak.” “She was searching you, and officer Sam and his two troops disrespected her.” I looked at Andrew, he was angry. “Is that true?” I nodded. Officer Pierre joined the conversation. “My lord, they both were shaking up from the event, I helped them to calm down.” Vader didn’t say anything, just his breathing was heard. His thumb went over my cheek, looking down at me. “I’m sorry.” I whispered at him, trying to calm myself down. He turned around and walked away. I looked at Andrew. “It’s okay.”
I was waiting in our bedroom, waiting for Vader to turn up. I was already in my pyjamas laying awake in our bed. ‘What if he’s mad at me? For crying, for searching him, for forgetting why I was searching him in the first place.’ Fear was creeping in, I started to cry in silent. Holding my blanket up, afraid of the darkness, afraid of everything. I heard the automatic doors open. I held my breath. I heard footsteps coming closer and closer till it stopped. His breathing filled the atmosphere. “My love…” I felt him pulling down the blanket. I looked at him, eyes red because of the crying. His hand went up to my face, wiping away the tears. “Its okay love, it’s all over now.” His gloved hand wiped some hair out of my face. “I feel you scared, why are you scared?” I took a deep breath. “Are you mad at me?” His head tilt a bit to the side. “Why would I be mad?” I shrugged my shoulders. “That I embarrassed you my lord.” He carefully took a seat on the bed. “I’m not embarrassed, you are my wife, they should respect you, they where disrespecting you, my wife.” I carefully nod. “I’m not angry at you at all, I’m sorry they disrespected you but I made sure nobody is ever going to disrespect you.” I grabbed carefully his hand. “Are you okay my love?“ I nodded. “Yes, I just remember why I was searching you my lord.” He nods at me. “I wanted to tell you that…that I’m finally carrying our child..” his hand went up to my belly. I felt the force going through my body. “You are.” I smiled at him. “I level up the guards for you and I make sure you are never alone.” He stood up. “Are you leaving already.” “Yes my love, I need to take care of these things.” I sat up. “Can it not wait till tomorrow morning my lord?” I stood up and walked over to him. “Please stay tonight.” He turns around. “You want me to stay..?” I nodded. “Yes my lord.” “Then I stay.” I smiled at him, placing a kiss on his helmet. “Thank you, for everything.” He only nods as we both went to bed. His breathing filled the room as I lay with my head on his cold metal chest plate. ‘I love you.’ He said with his real voice in my mind through the force. I snuggled up to him. “I love you too Vader.” As darkness consumed me, falling slowly asleep.

little snippet from a buddie outsider pov future fic that i probably won't ever finish because its part 3 of a series, or aka the Bobby-fication of Buck
"I was told to report to Captain Diaz?"
The man, with Diaz clearly written on his name tag, stares. It's not the most friendly of stares but it's not that kind of a stare and Kori had his fair share of them as a brown boy who consistently used public transport and worked night shifts. He'd expected to have a welcome that wasn't the warmest but he at least wanted some kind of verbal acknowledgment.
Well, this is awkward, he thinks, why is he not saying anything?
Kori woke up bright and early today, excited and anxious for his first day, over an hour before his alarm started blasting, and then made sure he had his bag packed with all the essentials he would need on a twenty-four shift. Four different sets of clothes, five meals in Tupperware, protein bars, a book, headphones, towel, shampoo and shower gel, the basic firefighting manual from the academy and his paramedic textbooks. He prepared to be too prepared rather than embarrass himself by asking to borrow shampoo on his first day.
He arrived at the firehouse via Uber because public transport in LA couldn't be reliable and he also couldn't afford a car and then he had stood panicked on the side of the truck bay for about fifteen minutes before checking his email again for the right names — Captain Diaz, 118 Ladder Company — all along to the schedule in his head.
And now the guy, he's just—standing there. Staring at Kori like he's debating whether he should eat him alive or roast in the oven beforehand.
The thing is, Kori knows he’s disappointing for a firefighter. He’s barely five foot seven, five foot six without the boots, really, and he’s lean and slim, in a way that would make some people doubt whether he can carry a person out of a burning building — he can — and he’s, well, he’s average.
But the One-Eighteen is stuck with him for the year, he might be average and disappointing, it just doesn’t matter. Because they are stuck with him.
He still hasn’t seen Firefighter Buckley.
"Are you Captain Diaz?"
He looks a bit young, for a captain, but he is pretty sure there have been younger ones in the history of LAFD. And Diaz is a common surname, in California, or common enough that it wouldn’t be impossible to have two people with it in the firehouse even if still a bit improbable.
"Oh," he says, looking down at the nametag on his chest, finally noticing where Kori's been glancing at the whole time. "Sorry, kid, that would be my husband. I'm Lieutenant Paramedic Diaz."
Kori, he must admit to himself, blinks at him like he had just spoken in Mandarin and not English. Because there are two Diazes in the firehouse. And both of them are his officers. And they’re married.
The—The lieutenant crosses his arms over his chest, puffing up like a peacock, and narrows his eyes. “Do we have a problem?”
“No, sir,” he says, immediately. “I didn’t know they allowed married couples to work together, that’s all.”
The lieutenant still looks at him like he's trying to assess the deepest secrets of his soul and raises one eyebrow at him like he expects a fight but his shoulders fall slightly. He's, uhm, very handsome, even this angry, in that foxy dad kind of way that Kori's never been interested in but knew it was a thing.
"My husband and I worked together for seven years before we married, I think we've proved we can stay professional," he says and it sounds a bit like a threat. "He's in the office downstairs. You should report to him before you're late to your first shift."
He smiles but Kori has a feeling it's a mean smile.
Kori does go back downstairs, passes the rest of the loft and walks past the kitchen where he sees three other firefighters, quietly eating breakfast. The conversation stops and they all collectively look up at him. He probably should say something or wave or anything so it's not awkward but no, he just speed-walks into the narrow corridor that — he hopes — leads to the offices.
He passes two doors before he finds the right one. There is a brand new plate hanging on the side of it, shiny and not dusty at all, with Capt. Diaz and Lt. Diaz written on it and the door is wide open — someone is in the closet in the back, from what it seems, going over documents or something that makes a similar rustling sound. Kori moves into the doorframe, going for a knock, when he realizes.
There's no door. Nothing, just an empty door frame with taped down hinges. There's no way for him to knock.
He clears his throat as loudly as he can.
There are two desks inside, one with a brand new plate of Capt. Diaz and one with slightly less shiny Lt Diaz on it. It looks like any other office, slightly bare on the shelves but also full of diplomas and official pictures of past officers hanging on the walls. There's also a framed drawing made by an elementary school kid, or Kori guessed it was an elementary school kid, of a firefighter in bunker gear, dead center on the wall behind the captain's desk, and a couple of photos of what he assumes is the station's crew, all in their dress uniforms — he can't see it very well.
The captain's desk is full, with another frame standing on the edge, three pencil holders filled to the brim, multiple kinds of colorful stationery, and stacks of documents and folders cluttering the countertop. There's even a freaking fidget spinner on it — he hasn't seen one since freshman year in high school. It's a mess but Kori knows that even being a probationary firefighter would mean way too much paperwork for a job that was technically blue collar. The new captain wasn't just a new captain, he was also newly-qualified to be a captain so Kori suspects he probably is barely keeping up with the forms and documents as of right now — it's a learning curve.
The lieutenant's desk also holds a couple of frames but there's only a small pencil case and a neatly arranged stack of folders lying in an even more neatly arranged corner.
And wow. That's Firefighter Buckley, even more awe-inspiring than he was eleven years ago
He looks at Kori with a half-smile stuck on his face but with a frown on his forehead. There are wrinkles around his eyes, forming like laughter lines. He tilts his head and Kori thinks—Kori thinks this is it, he remembers me, he—
"Khorshed Patwari, was it?" he asks and his grin looks the same, almost — there’s more wrinkles, around his eyes and on his forehead, and his face seems a bit softer, but it’s like a memory refresher. "Am I pronouncing it right?"
It's stupid — Firefighter Buckley saved probably hundreds if not thousands of people, he's been a firefighter for at least twelve years, probably, and Kori is just one of those faces he had seen for a minute or two. Easily forgotten. Average. It's understandable that he doesn't remember him, he would probably be more surprised if he did remember him.
"Everyone calls me Kori," he says, after clearing his throat. He knows he’s gaping like a fish, a bit, but he can’t help it — Firefighter Buckly looks almost unchanged and he can’t believe he’s here.
"With the h?"
He blinks. "Sorry?"
"Do you keep the h in Kori?" he clarified, huffing a small chuckle out.  "I want to know how to spell it correctly in the future."
"Just Kori, uhm, K-O-R-I, is okay," he explains, still star-struck.
"Uhm," he says eloquently. "I'm looking for Captain Diaz? I was supposed to report to him?"
"That would be me," Firefighter Buckley says and—Oh. He’s a captain and he’s—he’s married to a man that’s the station's lieutenant. He's not really Firefighter Buckley anymore, is he? "Although most people just call me Buck, or Cap, if you really must."

AITA for pretending to not know my childhood bully, even though she recognized me?
I (27NB) recently started a job at my local airport as a screening officer. I really like said job, because it has routine. I’m autistic and despite how loud it can get in the terminal, I like it a lot. I had been struggling a lot recently in trying to find a job and I waited a few months from this screening company.
A few months ago, my best friend (27F) of 21 years had to fly across the country and took a cheap flight where she ran into our childhood Bully (27F). She didn’t really bully my best friend as much as she bullied me. She used to lie to my friends and say awful things about me, have her mom call my mom daily from kindergarten to grade six. There was a point in my life where the Bully turned everyone against me. I won’t lie and say I was the perfect kid but the amount of BS that she constantly used to do was awful and in no way possible justifiable. Bully is now a flight attendant and works out of the same airport.
With the information of knowing she works at the airport, I went to my therapist on what I should do. My therapist has been a rock in my life, and helping me work through a lot of trauma. I asked her what I could do, because I knew that we would run into each other eventually and if it was right to just say I don’t know her. My therapist agreed and we made a plan: I would not approach her at any cost but if approached, I would remain friendly and polite as to not risk my job. Because I’m also non-binary and going by a different name, I would simply state that no, I’m not that person, sorry.
This morning, while I was walking to the car after my shift, bully saw me and loudly asked if it was me. I simply said “sorry, wrong person” and tried to continue going to my car but she stated “it’s me, Bully”. I stated: “sorry, I don’t know who you are” and got to my car before opening the door and getting in. I felt great. The safety protocols I worked on with my therapist went well.
I told my best friend and other best friend (27F) of what happened and how I thought they would be proud of me. We’ve all been through the wringer due to this bully. What happened was upsetting to say the least.
Best Friend 1 said that it was childish, incredibly petty and mean. Best Friend 2 was a little bit more understanding and asked if it would lead to a more adversarial relationship. I stated that I don’t want anything to do with the bully and that my therapist and I had talked it over previously and formed a plan. But Best Friend 1 is mad at me for doing this, citing that we work in the same building and I should not be resorting to this.
The thing is, when Best Friend 1 is mad at me, she will ghost me for months and then pretend like nothing happened. She won’t respond to text messages or anything. It’s kind of frustrating to say the least.
So tumblr, AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Like Real People Do: Chapter 2
Chapter 2 of "Like Real People Do"
After a slight mishap in the admissions office, you find yourself in the same History class as Eddie, pushing your friendship forwards (thanks to the help of Dustin Henderson).
Read Chapter 1 here
Pairing: Eddie x AFAB reader (named "Brooke" because I hate using Y/N, but will also be using "you" to make it reader-centric!)
Warnings: Swearing, dual pov. This entire series is 18+ MINORS DNI!
Word Count: 2.4k
A/N: I'm so happy so many people are liking this one...I love writing about Eddie *kicking my feet*. I've also noted that some people are wanting a tag list for this one, so if you want to be added, let me know!
Tumblr media
The heat inside the class room was stifling – one last heat spike seemed to be in full effect in Hawkins, and the lack of air conditioning inside Hawkins High really put a damper on any chance of comfortability. Eddie fanned himself with his hand, rolling his eyes at the sweat he felt pooling slightly at his collar.
Mr. Binkins, the history teacher, was droning on an on about World War I, much to the dissatisfaction of what seemed like the whole class. Eddie’s eyes wandered to outside the window, Mr. Binkins’ voice slowly morphing into the Charlie Brown adults – womp womp WOMP wOmP womp. This was his second time taking this particular class, and even though he got a D+ the last time, he had still retained the information somewhat.
In other words, he was really, really bored.
Eddie resisted the urge to start tapping a drum beat to the latest Metallica song he heard on the radio, his pencil resting between his fingers, ready for him to say “when”. No…he wouldn’t be that annoying in first period – besides, Mr. Binkins would probably tell him to stop within 10 seconds of him starting, and where the hell was the fun in that?
His mind wandered, running down his usual daydream subjects: music, his DnD campaign, the newest issue of Playboy Wayne was hiding under his bed that he thought Eddie had no idea about…
You.
He sat straighter in his seat. You’d been in classes for a few days now, but Eddie had only seen you in the hallway a couple of times. You’d pass by and offer a polite smile, or even a friendly wave, and he would return the favor. He noticed you hadn’t seemed to be initiated into any cliques yet, and that you were equally friendly to everyone you came across whenever he saw you. At lunch, you were either sitting by yourself, or not there at all. Eddie hadn’t gotten the courage to ask you to sit with him and the Hellfire Club just yet.
Suddenly, the door to the classroom opened and in you walked, holding your books in front of you. Eddie’s heart lurched and he furrowed his brows.
Had he…conjured you? Like straight up wizard-ed you into the classroom?
“Can I help you?” Mr. Binkins asked, all heads turning to you. You offered him a smile – your trademark smile – and handed him a pink slip from the office.
“I was apparently put in the wrong history class for the past few days. The office told me I should’ve been in this one.” You scanned the class quickly, and when your eyes passed by Eddie’s, you deepened your smile, causing Eddie to blush.
Jesus, dude. Get a grip! You thought, slouching in your chair again to try and regain any sense of cool you had left in your body.
“Huh. Okay, Miss…Henway. Welcome! Tell the class a little about yourself.” He gestured to the rest of class and you turned.
“Okay. Um…hi,” You offered a little wave, “I’m Brooke. I moved here from Ohio at the end of June…um…” You made a face, pursing your lips together to try and think of something, “I’m a junior? And I work at the library. And I have a dog! Her name is Molly. Um…I think that’s it?”
“Very good. Have a seat anywhere that’s empty. Quite exciting…not only that you’re a new student, but that you’re in a senior class! Very good.” Mr. Binkins clapped his hands together, “Now, as soon as Miss Henway takes her seat, we can continue you.”
Eddie watched you scan the room again, and once you noticed the empty desk next to him, you made your way over, sitting in the seat and plopping your books on the desk. You turned to him and smiled.
“Hi again.”
“Hey,” He said, returning the smile. Lowering his voice down to a whisper, he spoke again, “So you’re in this class now? Cool.”
You nodded, “Yep. I guess the office messed up. Based on my transcripts I should be in this class. Do you know what page we’re on?” You asked, point to the textbook. Eddie shrugged.
“No idea?”
You raised your hand, “Sorry, Mr. …”
“Binkins.” The teacher said, turning around from the blackboard.
“Right. Mr. Binkins, what page are we on?”
“33.”
“Great, thanks.” You started flipping through the book and snorted, your eyes darting over to Eddie. You whispered, “I don’t mean to sound rude but…Mr. Binkins sounds like he should be related to Bilbo Baggins with a name like that.”
Eddie chuckled and his heart flipped. “Fan of ‘The Hobbit’?”
“I read a lot.” You shrugged and gave him one last smile before turning your attention back to the lesson.
Eddie leaned back in his chair, his mind starting to swirl. So, he had met a cute – beautiful, really – girl, who was also really nice, and now in one of his classes. And on top of that, she seemed to share some similar interests? He blew out some air, trying to slow down the rapid pace of his heart.
He had a feeling he was going to be in a lot of trouble.
Tumblr media
Lunch period came quickly – thank god – and once you had grabbed your tray from the cafeteria lady, you turned to face the lunchroom. You had spent your lunch periods either sitting by yourself at the end of a table, in the library, or taken in by various random students like an orphaned colonial child. Which, really, you didn’t mind – you didn’t mind being by yourself all that much, especially when you remembered to bring something to read, or had some homework to catch up on.
You started to make your way to your favorite empty table when you heard a voice shouting behind you. “Hey! Hey!” Turning, you saw Dustin, waving his arms in the air with enthusiasm. Eddie and Mike were sitting next to him, hanging their heads in embarrassment. The other few at the table were snickering, smiling at you. Dustin waved you over and motioned to sit.
You sat down across from Eddie, sliding your bookbag underneath the table. “Hi, everyone.” You greeted.
“Hi! I’m so happy I noticed you walking to your usual empty table – you should sit with us instead from now on!” Dustin said, sitting back in his seat and smiling, “If you want!”
“Oh, thanks!” You said, “Yeah, maybe I will, if you don’t mind.” You eyed Eddie and he immediately smiled back at you, nodding slowly.
“Yeah, sure, of course.” He said.
“Great, then it’s settled! You can be apart of the lunch crew!” Dustin smiled proudly and ripped into his sandwich, chewing with his mouth open slightly, “How have your first few days been?”
You shrugged, pushing the salad you had gotten around with your fork, “Oh, it’s fine. I like school so it’s not too bad, but…” You trailed off, crossing your feet at the ankle, “Just an adjustment, is all.”
“Have you made any friends?”
“Dude!” Mike hissed, looking at Dustin, “You can’t just like, ask a new kid if they’ve made any friends yet. That’s rude.”
“No, it’s okay!” You offered, trying to lighten the mood, “I have…kinda? No one that I’ve hung out with outside of school yet…I have a bunch of classes with Nancy? Wheeler? So we’ve been chatting. Do you know her?”
Mike rolled his eyes and Dustin barked out a laugh, “Yeah, we know her. That’s Mike’s sister!”
“Oh! Oh, okay. Cool! She’s really nice.”
“Yeah…” Mike grumbled, in only the way younger brothers could. You shoved some salad in your mouth to shut yourself up, nodding and hoping someone else would take over the conversation.
“You could hang out with us, if you wanted!” Dustin offered, leaning in, “Do you play Dungeons and Dragons?”
“Dustin…” Eddie quietly groaned, “Please stop interrogating her. She’s only been able to take like, one bite of her food because you won’t stop asking her about her life story.”
“I…don’t, sorry,” You said, “Is that the game with like…dwarves and stuff?”
“Uh-huh! It’s really cool…if I do say myself.” Dustin reminded you of an over-enthusiastic puppy, which was really endearing. You noticed that Eddie, though seemingly annoyed with him, couldn’t help but have an affectionate air towards him. “I mean, we do other stuff too…not just DnD. We do movie nights, and go to the mall, and stuff.”
“I like the mall.” You offered politely, “I like to do a lot of stuff. And I like movie nights, too.”
“Next time we have one, we’ll invite you! Right, Eddie?”
Suddenly, Dustin shot up in his seat and yelped in pain, reaching down to his foot. Everyone at the table stopped to stare at him, including yourself.
“Jesus, that hurt, Eddie! Why did you kick me?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Eddie said, in monotone. His eyes flickered to yours and back to Dustin, “I say we let her decide if she wants to hang out with us. Stop peer pressuring the poor lady to go to a movie night with us for Christ’s sake.”
Your heart sank a little – even though Eddie was friendly enough, it didn’t really seem like he wanted you to hang out with his group. Which was fine, since you didn’t know each other very well, but it still would’ve been nice if he had been a little more welcoming. Especially, considering you thought he was really handsome…in a rockstar, grungy kind of way.
“Um…well…I work weekends sometimes for the library so…I don’t really know my schedule. So who knows when I can even go to a movie night…” Pushing your food with your fork again, you tried your best to sound nonchalant, and not like a movie night would be the most fun you’ve had in a while.
Dustin frowned a little and took another bite of his sandwich, “Yeah, yeah. Okay…well…let us know…” He focused on his food and trailed off. You quickly looked up to Eddie, who was looking at you, but then looked away at his own food.
The rest of lunch was kind of awkward, with everyone making polite conversation about their “newest campaign” (whatever that was), and peppering questions in for you about your previous life in Ohio. Soon, the bell rang, and you made your way to the garbage can, throwing away the leftovers and sliding the tray on the collectable surface on top.
“Hey…” Eddie slid next to you, falling in line while you started to walk to your next class, “I’m sorry about Dustin. We don’t get a lot of…um, excitement? In Hawkins, so a new girl is quite a big deal for him, I guess,” He offered a smile, shoving his hands in his jeans pockets.
“Oh, it’s okay. It’s kind of sweet, actually. I like him…he seems nice.”
“Yeah…he is. He’s really nice.”
Your heart felt like it was being squeezed with the obvious tenderness Eddie had for Dustin. You both walked in silence for a second before he spoke again.
“Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that the next time we do have a movie night, you are more than welcome to come. In fact, we’d love to have you. If you want, of course.” He said, avoiding eye contact. You brightened a bit.
“Yeah? Okay, then. I’d like that.”
“I’ll let you know, then. I do have to warn you, though – we usually watch strictly horror flicks.”
“Oh, no!” You squealed, a laugh rising within you, “I love horror movies but I get scared so easily…just make sure I have something to hold on to so when I jump in fear, I don’t fall off the couch!”
As soon as the words left your mouth, your mind immediately flashed an image of you in Eddie’s arms, nuzzling into his neck to hide from the movie playing on the television. Heat creeped into your neck, no doubt causing you to blush.
Eddie awkwardly cleared his throat, looking away, “Yeah, I’ll make sure to have a blanket or something…a super special blanket made to protect you from the big bad scary man on T.V.” He ended the sentence in a goofy voice, wiggling his fingers for affect. You scrunched your nose and giggled, both of you walking up to the entrance to your classroom.
Suddenly, the bell rang, giving you one minute to get to class. “Well…thanks for lunch today. And for the movie invite. I’ll see you around?” You said, smiling. Eddie nodded, rocking on his heels.
“Yeah, see you around.”
You turned to head into class and for some reason, looked back at Eddie. He was inching his way away from the door of your classroom, but made sure you were fully in your seat before walking away. Smiling to yourself, you sat down.
You were really starting to like Hawkins.
Tumblr media
Saturday night, you found yourself in front of Eddie’s trailer, smoothing your shirt and taking a deep breath to calm your nerves. Your first time hanging out with someone from Hawkins – hanging out with anyone in months, really – and you were a bit nervous. Never mind the fact that you were seeing Eddie.
No…those nervous butterflies definitely didn’t have anything to do with that.
The trailer was on the smaller side, so you heard multiple voices right away. It seemed like you were one of the last ones to arrive, even though you were right on time. Suddenly, the door opened, and Eddie’s smiling face greeted you.
“You made it!” He said, ushering you inside. “Did you find my place okay?”
“Yeah, it was easy! You’re close to my house.” You said, walking into the trailer. Eddie shut the door behind you.
The trailer was homey – full of knick-knacks and memorabilia. Though the amount of stuff was overwhelming (in a good way), it was meticulously clean. You immediately felt at ease – almost at home.
The rest of Hellfire looked up at you in surprise. Eventually, Dustin smiled and stood up.
“Hey! I didn’t know you were coming!” He said, almost too excitedly. Immediately behind him, Mike rolled his eyes and Gareth, Jeff, and Dougie chuckled.
“Must have forgotten to mention it,” Eddie murmured quickly, guiding you to the couch, “Okay, who’s ready for the movie?!” He moved on quickly, shutting down any conversation Dustin was about to start. Dustin shot him a curious look and shrugged, heading to the kitchen.
“I’ll start to popcorn!” He called, opening the microwave.
You sat on the couch and Eddie immediately handed you a crocheted blanket. You looked at him, confused.
“The blanket…you know…to protect you from the big bad man on T.V…” He answered sheepishly, turning a light shade of scarlet. Your heart flipped at the recognition from the conversation you had a few days ago. Taking the blanket, you unfolded it and smiled.
“Oh, Eddie. Thanks. That’s so sweet.”
Eddie shrugged and sat down on the other side of the couch, leaving at least two people’s worth of space between you, “Yeah well, I couldn’t have you scared shitless your first time in my place.” He tried to wave it off like it was no big deal.
“So I’m assuming we’re watching a scary movie?”
“Not one, not two, but THREE scary movies!” Dougie said, holding up three fingers, “If you can handle it, that is.”
“Oh, she’ll be able to handle it,” Dustin said, coming back with a big bowl of popcorn. He sat next to you, offering the bowl, “Right, Brooke?”
You nodded, taking some popcorn. “I hope so.” You looked towards Eddie, only to find that he was already staring at you. When you made eye contact, he immediately looked away, fiddling with the remote in his hand. Your heart did a cartwheel, and you stifled a blush rising on your neck.
You certainly hoped so.
