14. What's Loki's Plan?
~(Y/N POV)~
After a few seconds of silence on the aircraft, the strange costumed man introduced himself to me.
"Ma'am, it's an honor to meet you. I'm Steve Rogers or Captain America. I never thought I would be able to meet you."
He extended his hand out to me so I set my gloved hand into his.
"I feel as if I do not need to introduce myself," I laugh and continue, "It's nice to meet you too, Sir Rogers."
Steve smiles a handsome smile that seemed to set butterflies in my stomach. Why does HE have to be handsome? I shake his hand and tighten my grip but not too tight to hurt him. He grips my hand back with strength and I smirk. He's cool.
I let go of Steve's hand and looked at the red and gold armored man. His helmet was off but the rest of his suit was still on. His cheek had a bruise on it and I felt terrible, although it may have been Thor. I can't help but think that I did that. I feel a hand on my left wing as I walk to the man.
I looked to my side to see Steve looking at my feathers in admiration and running his fingers through my primary coverts and my primaries. I then lightly slap his cheek and he looks at me with a shocked face. I smile and turn back to the man.
"I do apologize for my actions. Do forgive me, sir..?"
He looks at me with a smirk and replies, "Now you're making me feel old by saying sir, doll. Just call me yours."
I feel my cheeks turn red as he said the last sentence. I can't say that he doesn't look handsome, which he does but he's acting like Thor when we first met.
I decided to play along, "Alright, Sir Yours. I'm Lady (Y/N) or Guardian. And I can reassure you, I'm older than you."
He looks at me confused, making me smile. I then make my way back to Thor and he shoots me a smirk. I lightly slap his arm with a smile. He leans down to my level and laughs.
"His name is Tony Stark or Man of Iron." I look at Tony and nod to Thor.
One of the two people flying the aircraft spoke up, "Hey, angel face."
I look at the beautiful woman with red hair and a sharp look on her face. I smile shyly at her reflection in the mirror and she smiles softly.
"Call me Nat."
I nod at her in acknowledgment with a blush on my cheeks. Why do women have such a significant effect on me than some men??
The other pilot says, "Welcome to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier."
I walk up to the glass in curiosity to see a marvelous and large aircraft. I softly gasp in awe at the sight but didn't see Nat look up at me with a smile. The plane I'm on had landed on the top of the aircraft and the rear hatch slowly opened.
I started walking and Tony went in front of me, bowed, and said, "After you."
I look at him with a raised eyebrow and smile. He just looks up at me and smiles a quite flirtatious smile. I nod to him and walk off to see a few more aircrafts similar to the one I rode on. I can't see much because of the dark. As I wait for Thor, Steve walks up to me and I show him a small smile.
"Ms. (Y/N). If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions," Steve asks with a hint of shyness.
I smile and nod, signaling to him that it's okay. He lets out a sigh of relief and shifts to my right side, slightly brushing my wing. He continues to walk so I follow after. I turn my head slightly to see Loki walk away with guards beside him and he looks at me with a mischievous smile.
I quickly look forward, trying to remember Steve's question.
"I'm sorry, Sir Rogers but would you mind repeating the question? I was just amazed by the interior of the Helicarrier."
He smiles and replies with a yes.
"How did you survive? The battle I mean. I read in Norse myths that you were either lost in battle or known as deceased."
I let out a sigh and shrug my shoulders.
"I, myself, do not know how I am still alive but all that matters is that I am on your side in dealing with Loki."
I look at him with a hopeful smile while he looks at me with a wide smile and gentle eyes.
Steve blinks a few times and looks away. He asks again, "Another one of my questions was how did you get your wings??"
I feel my legs slow down a little as I look down in growing sadness. I could feel Steve's gaze on my body language and he stutters out an apology. I put my pointer finger on his lips to shut him up.
"It's alright, Steve. I gained them from my birth parents leaving me as a child. There's no way to sugarcoat it. It was very traumatic for 7-year-old me and I wish for you to keep your mouth shut about it."
I look up from the ground and to Steve, who held a shocked expression with a noticeable blush. He nods and I pull my hand away.
Steve stutters his question out, "This is my last one, uhm...Do you have a certain someone?"
I look up at him in confusion, not entirely understanding his question.
"I mean..like..like a boyfriend or husband....girlfriend maybe..?" I make an 'o' face and smile at the thought of my Brunnhilde.
The smile vanished as I think that after the time I was taken by Hela, Bruunhilde must have moved on. Maybe found a husband or wife and had children. No, Bruunhilde doesn't like children. Although, she may have changed throughout the years. Or maybe, she got so low, that she...No. I don't want to think about that.
I reply, "I did. Her name is Brunnhilde. The toughest woman I know. She looks off-standish and rude on the outside but that's what drew me to her. She's really a big softie with a heart worth more than any riches. I don't know where she is or if she still lives or if she moved on."
I feel a large hand rub my left shoulder to comfort me. I look up at Steve with a sad smile as a door opens. A short-haired brunette walked up to Steve and me.
"Welcome back, Captain. And you are?"
I put my hand out for her to shake and introduce myself.
"I am Lady (Y/N) or Guardian. I'm here on behalf of Thor as I am to protect him. And you are, my lady?"
I'm not sure why but she gripped my hand tightly and smiled at me like Brunnhilde used to do. I nervously smile and Steve sets his left hand on her shoulder.
She seems to snap out of her trance and replies, "Agent Hill, ma'am, but you can call me Maria. If you want to!"
I smile, let go of her hand, and nod. She looks at Steve and walks away without another word. I raise an eyebrow at Steve but he just smiles and leads me to a chair surrounding a large table.
I shake my head in protest and say, "I'd rather stand so you may have it."
He lets out a sigh and obliges. Thor walks to the small staircase so I walk over to him and I noticed his cape was off and on a chair. Perhaps I should get comfortable as well.
I ask in concern, "Are you troubled, Odinson?"
Thor turns around and smiles softly but it fades. I felt that I asked an obvious question and wanted to smack my forehead in frustration.
Thor lets out a sigh and says, "Yes, I am. Loki may be dangerous and ruthless but I cannot help but think that I could have had a part to play in his personality now. If I had just not been so prideful in my younger years and watched out for him, maybe he would've been different."
I frown slightly and rub his back to soothe him. It's good to know your problems and toxic traits in your personality. I then see an electronic showing camera footage of Loki and another man. They seem to be talking but I could not hear until I heard them talking from behind me. I turn around to see a man with glasses and a purple shirt looking down at a tablet with uneasiness.
"In case it's unclear if you try to escape, you so much as scratch that glass," I hear something opening and see Loki looking out and down. Must be a drop then.
The man continues, "it's 30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" He closes the trap door.
"Ant. Boot" I slightly tilt my head in confusion as to what he meant but then Loki chuckles.
He speaks, "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me." I furrow my eyes in confusion again.
If it isn't made for Loki, then who?
Loki starts to slowly walk around the cage and the other man replies.
"Built for something a lot stronger than you."
"Oh, I've heard."
Loki then turns to the camera I'm watching from.
He walks up to the camera and continues, "A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?"
I frown at his words but remain still.
The man walks up to the glass wall in front of Loki and says, "How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."
Loki winces mockingly, "It burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what?"
He turns to the camera again and continues, "A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is."
There was a few seconds of silence from the camera footage before the other man walks away.
He says while leaving, "Well, let me know if "real power" wants a magazine or something."
I am so confused. What's a magazine, who is that man, and what is ant boot??
Loki looks at the camera so I move away from the large tablet showing him. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and felt some stress leave my body. I shake my wings a little and stand up taller. It can't be any straighter cuz I'm not straight.
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?"
I turn to see the man with the glasses and purple shirt fidgeting nervously. He can't be just a citizen so how is he here? Perhaps, he has powers? Curiosity begins to grow within me as the feeble man shifts his gaze at me. I unconsciously smile at him and wave.
A blush shows up on his face as he slowly waves back.
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, (Y/N), what's his play?", asks Steve as he looks at me and Thor with an uncertain expression.
I decided to take my helmet off to let my hair (down/out). I sigh in relief as I shake my head a few times.
I set my helmet down as Thor responds, "He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world has known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth."
I finish his sentence with, "For that in return, we suspect, for the Tesseract."
I look at Steve with a serious expression and he has a slightly shocked face.
"An army...from outer space."
He said it as if he doesn't believe it. As if a supposedly dead warrior angel and two demigods aren't in the same place as him. Although, if I were to be in his situation, I would be more confused than the Midgardian slang.
The purple-shirt man said, "So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for."
Thor looks at him in confusion, "Selvig?" It sounds like he knows the man.
The other man replies, "He's an astrophysicist."
My brain is slow so I'm thinking that he studies the stars. Perhaps, he has found Asgard at some point! Or maybe Asgard found him.
Thor says, "He's a friend."
So they do know each other! I wonder how they met.
Nat speaks up, "Loki has him under some kind of spell..along with one of ours..."
She looks away at the last part of her sentence. Is she close with the said agent? That must be hard for her, to have a close friend turned against you.
Steve demands, "I want to know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here."
I nod at that, Loki is a very powerful being so it confuses me as well.
Perhaps, he's just a distraction for his team to take over the Helicarrier??
No, that doesn't seem likely.
The other man interjects, "I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him."
I feel a little frustrated at his words, as I do not know what cats are but apparently, they smell strange.
Thor speaks up, "Have care for how you speak! Loki is beyond reason but he is of Asgard. And he's my brother."
I shake my head slightly at his stupidity. Family or not, he's a lunatic, Thor. I'm sure you know that but your thick skull won't let your brain figure that out.
Nat then tells him, "He killed 80 people in two days."
I look at Thor with a 'Ya see?!" face but he just ignores it.
"He's adopted."
I give myself a facepalm at his words. This is really the demigod I'm protecting.
"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium... What do they need the iridium for?", says the man in the purple shirt.
I really need to figure out his name, I'm kinda annoyed but shy to ask.
Tony walks in with Mr. Coulson(he insists I call him that), talking about something.
He yells out, "It's a stabilizing agent. It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D. No hard feelings, Dollface, and Point Break. You both pack a mean swing."
As he says that last part, he walks up to me and pats my hair and then to Thor and pats his shoulder.
I feel a small smile of encouragement rising on my face at the compliment. I'm still as good as I was when I was younger!
Tony continues as he walks by the little touchy computers, "Also, it means the portal can open as wide and can stay as long, as Loki wants. Raise the mizzenmast. Jib the topsails."
I raise my eyebrow in confusion at his words. Ugh, I wish I could stay here to learn about the language. Maybe I should stay, it isn't that bad here.
"That man is playing Galaga."
I look at who he was pointing at in confusion but found no one who could be playing this Galaga. Although, I see Steve is looking around too so I don't feel so left out.
Tony continues on his rant, "Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did." He then puts his left hand to his face and stutters.
He looks at Maria in question, "How does Fury even see these?"
She replies, "He turns."
"Sounds exhausting."
I couldn't help but giggle at that. Tony can turn, he's just japing.
He turns around to a touchy tablet and continues again, "The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he still needs is a power source of high energy density."
As he stopped talking for a second, I see his hand go under the tablet. Hmm, must've put something there. It's slightly suspicious but maybe it's for a good cause. I look up at him, silently asking 'what did you put there?' and he subtly winks. I failed to hide my small smile, staying silent about his action.
He finishes his speech, "Something to kick-start the Cube."
"When did you become an expert on thermonuclear astrophysics?", asks Maria.
Those were big words for my slow brain.
Tony replies nonchalantly, "Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, and the extraction theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?" My left wing twitched in awkwardness and I felt a little embarrassed.
Steve speaks up as I follow Tony's movements, "Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?"
The other man informs, "He would have to heat the Cube to 120 million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier."
That sounds very hot.
Tony says, "Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect."
"Well, if he could do that, he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet.", says the surprisingly smart man.
Tony says as he walks towards him, "Finally, someone who speaks English."
"Is that what just happened?", Steve asks in utter confusion.
I look at him with the same confusion on my face and shrug.
Tony shakes the man's hand and says, "It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner."
So that's his name! I'm happy I could hear it or else I would feel awkward talking to him. Tony has a short conversation with Banner when Fury walks in.
"Dr. Banner is only here to track the Cube. I was hoping you might join him."
Perhaps I should ask him, Mr. Banner, about himself and his profession. He's smart like Tony so he may have answers to my questions about Earth and its language!
Steve says, "I should start with that stick of his. It may be magical but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon." I never felt so confused in my entire life.
Fury replies, "I don't know about that, but it is powered by the Cube. And I would like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys."
WILL MY CONFUSION CEASE?!?!!?
I and Thor spoke at the same time, "Monkeys? I do not understand-"
"I do!", Steve exclaims like a cute child that was showing an adult something amazing.
Tony just rolls his eyes and I slightly chuckled.
"I understood that reference."
Well surely, I have to ask him about that.
Tony shifts his attention to Mr. Banner and asks, "Shall we play, Doctor?"
Mr. Banner points his arm to his left and says, "This way, sir."
As I watched them leave, I could hear strange sounds coming from behind me, like little alien noises.

13. Mountaintop Battle
~(Y/N) POV~
Thor smirked and gently grabbed my hand, wanting to lead me somewhere. I let him as we passed a few rooms to see a new armor set. My eyes widen in awe as I thoroughly look at it. The metal shined beautifully from the light of the torches. I walk closer to barely skim the cold metal with my fingertips.
"Do you like it?", Thor asks behind me.
I turn around with a big closed-eyed smile. I hear him chuckle and shuffle around. I smile when I see Thor in front of me, holding my hands.
"I'm glad you like it. You can try it on after you get cleaned up."
My eyes widen slightly as I remember that I don't look presentable. I nod and Thor leads me out of the room holding the glory.
He stops in front of a door and opens it. It held a large tub of steaming water and four maids. They all smiled as we entered. Two maids pulled me and began to take off my hood, cape, and boots. I blush in surprise and look back at Thor.
"You'll find me in the armor room." He exits the room while closing the doors.
As the maids undress me, the other two both were blushing at me. I never noticed how toned my arms and legs were until I actually looked. I have a rather somewhat masculine shape. I sit down in the tub of warm water and groan at the relaxing feel. I'm not sure how long it's been but it felt forever since I relaxed.
The maid on my left grabbed a rag and began washing the dirt and grime off my face. I smile softly as the others started to scrub my legs and right arm.
"Oh, you don't have to do that, ladies. I can do-"
The maid by my right leg interrupts me, "No, Lady (Y/N). It is an honor for us to wash your body, to even touch you. We are doing this willingly."
She finished her sentence with a smile and I look at her with wide eyes and a blush rising to my cheeks. I nod while looking away and they continue.
~Time skip cuz it'll be awkwardly homosexual if I continue~
After I dried myself off, I began to put my undergarments on. My bra was slightly tight but that's a good thing. I would rather not have my breasts flipping around and hitting my face. I then throw on my tight, black, long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and socks.
After my hair is dried, I finally look in the mirror. My dull, (E/C) eyes are full of life, my skin is now a beautiful shade of (S/C), and my lips are soft and moisturized. I look so much better than when I was dying. I smile and get up to try on my new suit of armor.
It took me a few minutes to remember the way back but I found it none of the less. Thor looks at me and smiles.
"You look great." I show him a soft smile back.
"Are you saying I didn't look great before?" I ask in a fake sad tone, just wanting to tease the god of thunder a little. His eyes widen and he shakes his head 'no' quickly.
"No, no, no, you look great in general- no, beautiful I mean, I-"
"I'm just japing with you, Thor. But thank you for the compliment." I smile back at him while he blushes slightly.
"Oh, right." Thor nervously laughs and scratches his neck. He walks towards the door and says, "Come out when you're done and we'll be on our way to your first mission." He smiles and closes the door. I turn to the set of armor and smiled.
Time to suit up.
~Another time skip~
I look into the large mirror on the wall and see another person. Another woman. Another angel. Another warrior. But as I look longer, I saw me. A new me. I smiled brightly at my new identity.
It was a huge struggle getting my wings through but Thor thought about them beforehand so I'll give him credit. I walk out of the room to see Thor looking at me in awe. I smile bashfully and twirl around like a young girl that got her very first dress.
I hear Thor's deep laugh and he comments, "You look like a familiar warrior angel I know. Have you seen her anywhere, my lady?" I look at him and shake my head.
"Thank you. For everything, Thor. I don't know what I would do without you."
I walk up to Thor and hug him. I could tell he was surprised by my action but he hugged me back. He starts to rub my back, slightly trying to avoid my wings. I decide to move my wings to huddle over Thor, shadowing the both of us.
"They're beautiful. I'm surprised at how well groomed they are," Thor compliments me and I reply with thanks.
I pull my wings back and ask, "Would you happen to have a sword and dagger for me? My hand-to-hand skills can only go so far." Thor then gasps and hits his forehead with his palm.
"Pardon my forgetfulness, my lady. This way."
Thor then walks to a room about 2 hallways away from the armor room and hands me a sword. It's a single handheld with not too much weight to it so that's a positive note. He walks to a rectangular burgundy box on the side and brings me a beautiful dagger.
I pick up the dagger, amazed by the beauty of how it was designed. Thor says, "That dagger belonged to my mother but she claimed that she didn't want it anymore, of course, it was too beautiful to just throw away so I kept it. Now, I'm glad I can bestow it to my hero."
I look up from the dagger and smile. I set the sword in my belt and stuff my new dagger into my left boot.
"I'm ready," I say with confidence and adrenaline.
Thor smiles and walks out of the room with me following behind. He pauses and stretches his left hand out. I raise my eyebrow in confusion but realize what he's doing. I quickly fly up, barely getting hit by Mjolnir. He then looks up at me and nervously laughs.
"Guess I should've warned you. I apologize," He says to me and I shake my head with a smile.
I start flying towards the large golden doors with Thor on my right-hand side. As the doors open, we zoom through the rainbow bridge. I laugh, feeling the harsh wind against my face. It felt so refreshing.
We began to slow down as we got closer to the circular building. I just remember a certain something or someone.
"Thor, what about Isolde?" I set my hand on his left shoulder and he stops walking.
"She's already in my stables, do not worry. She will be taken very good care of." I nod nervously and let go.
Thor looks away and looks at Heimdall with a nod. Heimdall also gives me a nod as we walk to the portal entrance. Thor walks in first and I follow after.
It took a few seconds for us to arrive but it was very dark. It must have been night here but as I begin to look around, I notice very tall trees all around me and I smile. They all look like the trees at the Valkyrie camp, large and green, even in the darkness. I walk up to one and touch the harsh brown bark, enjoying the feel of the covering.
Thor speaks up from the silence, "Loki is close by. We must go."
He began moving his hammer in circles and he flies away. I spread my wings and follow after him, my sword in my dominant hand. I hear thunder and see lightning strike to my left side. I am now by Thor's side as he nods towards something flying with bright white lights in the clouds.
Thor flies to the top of the aircraft and I see a hatch opening. I walk fast to the gold and red figure and knock him back with my fist as Thor grabs Loki out of it and flies off with me. I look at the man with a red, white, and blue costume and the man looks at me with shock. I set my sword back into the holster, dive out of the aircraft and, fly away to Thor. He settles on a small mountain and throws Loki down. I fly to his side, my body in a fighting stance for anything suspicious of the god of mischief.
Loki groans from the impact and laughs. I look at him with a scowl while Thor asks, "Where's the Tesseract?"
"I missed you too," Loki replies with sarcasm definitely in his voice.
"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?!," Thor bellows out with frustration.
Loki then says, "You should thank me. With the Bifrost gone, did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you and your pet here to your "precious" earth?"
Thor reacts before me and stomps his way to his brother. He pulls him up with his large hand on his throat. I push down the blush when Loki looks at me with a smile and shoots me a wink. I see Thor's hand tighten its grip.
"I thought you dead." I look at Thor with confusion. Loki was known to be dead??
Loki looks at his brother with a smug look. "Did you mourn?"
I frown at his words. If anyone random had passed, of course, there will be people that miss them.
Thor replies with a shakey voice, "We all did. Our father-"
"Your father," Loki interrupts. He then pushes Thor's hand off of him and makes his way to me.
"He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?"
As Loki says that sentence, he circles me while looking up and down. I wrap my wings around my body, attempting to avoid his gaze but failing as he continues to look in fascination.
Thor looks at Loki with sadness on his face, "We were raised together. We played together. We fought together. Do you remember none of that?!"
I could tell that Thor truly does care about his brother, not caring that he was adopted. I wish I would have one sibling, regardless of gender identity.
Loki turns to look at Thor with a blank expression but I could tell he's very upset, "I remember a shadow. Living in the shade of your greatness. I remember you tossing me into an abyss. I, who was, and should be, king!!"
Thor argues back and walks up to his trouble-making sibling, "So you take the world I love as a recompense for your imagined slights? No. The Earth is under my protection, Loki."
He then chuckles darkly, "And you're doing a marvelous job with that. The humans slaughter each other in droves while you idly fret. I mean to rule them, as why should I not?"
Thor shakes his head in disappointment, "You think yourself above them?"
Loki says in an obvious tone, "Well, yes."
Thor replies, "Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother. A throne would suit you ill."
As he said that, Loki grabs Thor roughly and pushes him out of his way, walking towards the cliff. I walk and stand by Thor, my blade still intact as the tension between them grows.
Loki yells, "I've seen worlds you've never known about! I have grown, Odinson, in my exile. I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it-"
Thor struts towards Loki and demands, "Who showed you this power?! Who controls the would-be king?"
"I AM A KING!"
Thor then grabs Loki by his shoulders and continues, "Not here! You give up the Tesseract! You give up this poisonous dream!"
I interject in a soft voice but it's loud enough for the men to hear, "You can come home."
They both look at me as I walk towards them but mostly Loki with soft eyes.
He scoffs and says, "I don't have it." Thor then lets go of Loki with a push.
Loki states, "You need the Cube to bring me home. But I have sent it off, I know not where."
I then hear something unusual. I turn around to see a blue light coming towards us fast. My eyes widen and I push Thor out of the way only to be met by a force pushing me away from the mountain and to the ground. As I try to balance standing, the red and gold figure stands 6 feet in front of me.
I growl, "Do not touch me."
The mask goes up to show the face of the man wearing the suit, "Then don't take my stuff, doll." I deepen my scowl at the name.
I reply, "You have no idea what you're dealing with."
The man mocks me by turning left and right and says, "Shakespeare in the park?"
I look at him in frustration and confusion. He continues, "Doth Mother know you wear-eth her drapes?"
My anger grows, "This is beyond you, tin man. Loki will face Asgardian justice." I pull out my blade for any surprise attacks from the man.
He replies with, "He gives up the Cube, he's all yours, doll. Until then," His mask goes down to cover his face and his mechanical voice says, "stay out of the way....tourist."
I frown more and fly towards him, punching him and making him fly back through a few trees. I feel a presence beside me and look to see Thor with a scowl.
I look up to where Loki was and he's just sitting there, watching. Creepy but at least he's not gone. I look back at the mortal, again in my fighting stance. Thor then starts to swing his hammer in circles and the man slowly rises and shoots a blast at me, knocking me back into a tree. I hear blasters then punches being thrown. I groan and look up to see the men fighting.
I push myself out of the tree while Thor gets kicked back through another tree on my right. I shake my wings off and fly towards the metal man. I then kick his legs out from under him and push him down with my hand. He groans in pain and shoots me with another blast. I go into the air but begin to fly to stop myself from falling.
Thor then raises his hammer and gathers lightning from the dark sky. Mjolnir shows sparks on the sides as Thor aims it at the armored mortal. As the lightning shoots out at the man, he gets pushed back a few feet but is still standing. I watch from above, ready to strike when I hear a mechanical "How about that?".
The man then uses his hands and chest beams at Thor and I dive down. I kick him down into the ground and pull him up, throwing a few punches and then throwing him in Thor's direction. Thor doesn't succeed as the other man flies towards him and takes him through the trees. I look up at Loki and he shows me a smirk.
I feel heat rise to my cheeks as I look away. Why does he have to be so attractive? I hear more trees being torn down as I look up to see both of the men hurdling downwards and into the ground. They weren't too far so I ran towards them. As I ran, Thor threw a punch and gripped the metal man's forearms.
The man blasted him in the face and headbutted him. Thor was unphased and also did a headbutt, sending the man flying. I giggle at the scene but turned serious as I jumped up to punch the man in the back and onto the ground. He puts both of his hands on the ground and flies up, hitting my jaw and giving me a bad headache.
I move back and groan in pain, holding my jaw. I adjust it and look up to see Thor crouching. They both ran towards each other and began to have a fistfight. Thor had the upper hand because of his strength as he picks up the tin man and throws him back on the ground.
Mjolnir arrives in Thor's right hand as he readied himself to slam it on the other man but he flies out from under him and makes Thor trip. I ran towards Thor but see that the metal man was coming back so I block the punch and push him back. As the man, Thor, and I raise our fists, something hits the two men.
"Hey!", I hear a voice yell out.
I turn around to see the same blue, red, and white costumed man from the aircraft now holding a red, white, and blue shield.
"That's enough."
The man hops down from the broken tree with a huff. He looks at me with a soft look in his eyes than to my side, or Thor, with a frown.
He says with caution in his voice, "Now, I don't know what you two plan on doing here."
Thor replies, "We've come here to put an end to Loki's schemes."
The strange costumed man looks at me again then back to Thor, "Then prove it. Put the hammer down."
The mechanical voice pitches in, "Uh yeah, no. Bad call. He loves his hammer-"
Thor interrupts his sentence with a hit of his weapon, sending the tin man flying backward.
Thor then yells out, "You want me to put the hammer down?!"
He jumped up with Mjolnir raised, ready to strike the costumed man. I hastily fly in front of Thor with my sword in front of his hammer.
"THOR, NO!!"
A bright light erupted from the collision and it pushed all of us back, clearing out a yard of trees on the outside of the already damaged ones. I hit the ground hard and groan from the impact. Now my wings are starting to hurt, I must've hit a rock. I hiss in pain as I push myself up with my sword.
As I stood up and walked towards the men starting to stand up, I let out a deep breath and look at Thor, waiting for his next move. He looks at me and nods, signaling me to stand down.
I set my sword back into my belt and hear the strange costumed man say, "Are we done, here?"

Chapter 12: Mischief
~(Y/N) POV~
As I set my room key on the counter, I grab the bag of apples, pull my hood down and walk out with Thor.
I pulled out a red one and take a bite, the crisp, sweet tang of the insides making me sigh in happiness.
I then remember my new companion. My heart drops as I realize I can't take her with me.
Thor seems to notice my downtrodden face and asks, "What is the matter, Ms. (L/N)?"
I pick my head up slowly and look at Isolde, the beautiful appaloosa looking at me with a glint of confusion in her eyes.
He follows my gaze and says, "You can bring your horse with you! It's not a problem at all!"
I look at him with joy in my eyes and show him a slightly wide smile. If only I noticed Thor's rosy cheeks and a racing heartbeat. I run up to Isolde and rub her long neck.
I then whispered, "You can stay with me, Isolde! I don't have to leave you here!"
I grab an apple from the bag and give it to Isolde. She eats it happily, making me smile wider.
I know it's been less than a day but I grow attached to animals very quickly. Reason why my gut is always right about people but I'm weak for animals.
I then hop onto my saddle and grip the reins. Thor looks up at me and smiles softly and walks down the dirt road. I clicked my tongue, signaling Isolde to walk. As we continue walking, I see a group of people, specifically one girl and three men.
I look at Thor with uncertainty and he nods. I pull the reins to slow Isolde's strides.
"Everyone, this is our new teammate. Teammate, meet everyone."
Thor does jazz hands in my direction and I smile softly at his silliness. Isolde shakes her mane and does a whinny. The rather large man walked up to Isolde, held his hand out, and scratched her muzzle.
"She's a beauty." He says, looking up at me with a toothy smile.
He looks warm and friendly.
I'm sure he can't see my eyes but he can see my lips so I smile.
"Thank you," I reply.
"I'm Volstagg, my lady."
He holds his hand out towards me and I set the reins in my left hand and shake his hand with my right.
"Call me (Y/N)."
As I say that, I raise my head up slightly to show Volstagg my face with a mischievous smile.
His eyes widen like the wet dough I made for bread at the bakery when I flattened them out. He seems to stumble over his words, unable to contain his excitement.
He then does something I have never, ever seen in my entire life.
He squeals.
It's high pitched and I wince slightly at the sound, as well as the others did. Volstagg hops around with a slightly feminine giggle.
I smile at his behavior, not expecting this kind of reaction but after Thor encountered me, Thor Odinson, the future king of Asgard, was a fan of mine, I may have gotten a teeny, tiny bit confident after...
"YOU'RE THE GUARDIAN ANGEL OF THE VAL-!!" Volstagg yells out and I move quickly to silence his voice.
I look at the others with a nervous smile and they were in shock. The lady had her eyes wide and her lips parted, the blonde man had his jaw on the ground and the foreign man had slightly wide eyes.
Thor chuckles loudly as I look at my fanboy, signaling him to not scream. "Yes, this, my friends, is the well-known (Y/N) (L/N), the warrior angel, or the guardian angel of the Valkyrie."
I move my hand away from the excited man and hop off Isolde. I held the reins in my left hand again and pull my hood down all the way.
May I remind the reader that you are still filthy, your face is covered in dirt, your hair is matted or in knots and you also have a few scars forming? Alright, enough reminding.
The foreign man winces slightly when I pulled my hood down as well as the blonde man.
The lady just smirks and I felt butterflies in my stomach under her gaze.
Thor walks over to me and clasps his large hand on my left shoulder. "So, is the new teammate a yes or no?"
"YES!!"
"Yes."
"Heck yeah!"
"Yep."
I smile at everyone's answers and wait for them to introduce themselves.
The lady says, "I'm Lady Sif, fair maiden."
She grabs my right hand into hers and kisses the top while looking up at me with a quite flirtatious smile.
My face immediately burst with red, not used to physical affection by someone else because Sif is a very attractive woman.
"Aw, come on, Sif! I was gonna do that!" says the blonde man.
She lets go of my hand with a slight squeeze and steps back a few feet.
The blonde man walks up and says, "The name's Fandral, m'lady."
I shake his hand while smiling. After I stop shaking his hand, he kept staring at my face and his thumb was slowly rubbing circles on the knuckle of my own thumb.
"Ow!" Fandral says, as he lets go of your hand to massage his head wound.
Volstagg looked away while whistling a tune. I giggled, knowing that he threw the tiny rock. Fandral huffs and walks to where Sif is.
I look to see the foreign man with an expressionless face bowing towards me.
"Hogun."
I show him a small smile and bow my head to him. If only I saw the smile on his face.
"I hope you don't mind me bringing Isolde along, I've grown too attached to her," I say with a slight blush of embarrassment.
Isolde then nudges her nose into my arm and huffs. I smile and pet her muzzle. Sif then walks towards me, nods, and starts to pet Isolde too. My blush grows at her close proximity. (that's right, you're a bottom.)
Thor bellows out, "Of course, you can! But before we leave for home, you must be on your horse so she can leave with us!"
I nod in acknowledgment and hop on again. Volstagg sets his hand on Isolde's left shoulder, looks up at me, and smiles. I smile back. Thor calls out to the sky and everywhere around me glows a golden rainbow.
~Slight time skip~
I'm here.
I'm finally here.
Home.
I smile brightly, realizing the building is where the Bifrost is held but freeze in shock when the wielder of the Bifrost is in a fighting stance. Isolde whinnies in fear and Thor dashes in front of me and puts his hands up.
"Whoa, whoa, calm down, Heimdal! She's not a threat! Well, to others yes but not to us!"
Heimdal continues to glare so I panic and pull my hood off and spread my wings.
My wings stretch farther from my body and they're as long as Isolde. yeah, I am badass. Heimdal's eyes widen and he drops the Bifrost slightly, looking at me in awe. I smile slightly under his gaze but as I begin to actually look at him, I noticed his eyes first.
How they shined a beautiful yellow and amber. His dark skin makes his irises pop. His large helmet covered most of his head but he looks rather handsome. It shows maturity and elegance.
"You're (Y/N)...The guardian angel of the Valkyrie...But were you not lost in battle?" Heimdal asks with genuine confusion.
He lowers the Bifrost and stands up straighter. I pull my wings back and reply.
"I was not lost in battle, although I nearly died... But that is not an important matter. Thor Odinson, if you'll excuse me, I have to see someone before we talk about my place on the team." I kick Isolde in the side to make her gallop and it works.
As Isolde runs on the Bifrost Bridge and into Asgard, my (H/L) hair flows with the wind. I smile as I feel the cool and sweet air caress my face. I kick her to go faster as I steer us in the direction of my childhood home. As we venture home, I see children playing with other children by their houses, mothers talking with other mothers, and also watching their own kids.
I smile softly at the children playing. I hope that someday, I will have my own. I look forward only to find the bakery, my home, gone. Just...gone. I pull the reins back as Isolde goes from a gallop to walking. I look around, now fearful that Father was gone, only to see the actual bakery still standing but looking improved.
I throw my hand to my head in annoyance and steer Isolde to walk to the right. I shake my head but as I raise my head, I couldn't help but smile widely and feel tears rise. I pull Isolde to a stop and hop off, bringing her to a post. I tie the reins and pat her shoulder.
"This may be a while, pretty girl." She just whinnies and I pull my hood over and laugh.
As I walk through the doorway of my home, I tuck my wings into my cape. There were two men in front of me so I sadly wait, shaking with nervousness to see my guardian. It didn't take long as the two men walk out, hand in hand. I smile softly at the couple and walk to the counter. There he is. Being my cashier.
I try my absolute hardest not to jump over and tackle Father into a rib-crushing hug and it pays off. I then say our code words that we made up together when I was 2,790 years old or 9 in Earth years. "May I get a (favorite animal) with (favorite season) and a (favorite color) on the side?" I finish my sentence while still looking down with a smile on my face.
I could tell that Father froze when I said that. He says, "No one says that...except." Before he could finish his sentence, I look up from under my hood, look at him, and smiled. His jaw drops and he's frozen still.
"Hello, Father," I say with a single tear rolling down my cheek.
He then starts to groan like a drunk and he falls back. I gasped and jumped over the counter to see what was wrong.
"Father?! FATHER!!" I check his pulse after shaking him a few times. He's alive so he must have fainted. I let out a sigh of relief and shake my head while smiling.
I missed this weirdo.
I pick Father up at carry him to his room, of course, I already know where it is. It was slightly messy but I could walk. I gently set him on his bed and pulled his blanket onto his body. Now that he's asleep, I look at him fully.
He looks as if he hasn't aged at all but now, he must be 38,680 years. He has many eye lines, telling me that he hasn't slept much.
I slightly frown at that, now making it my goal to let him sleep as much as possible. Talking can wait, I want him to be able to hold a conversation without sleeping. Hypocritical of me, yes but he deserves it.
I smile and kiss him on the forehead. I get up and turn all the torches off in the bakery portion of the building, signaling to people that it's closed. After doing so, I walk to my old room.
As I open the door, I begin a coughing fit as my room was full of dust. Nothing was touched. It was left the way I had it when I left. I smile as I see my old doll sitting on my windowsill, also dusty but it held a stitched smile.
I walk over to my candles and light them, the yellow and orange lights illuminating my childhood room. I walk into the kitchen to grab a broom and dustpan, now ready to clean my room like I was younger.
~3 hour time skip~
Before I started, I took off my hood and cape but it felt so hot like I had them on while cleaning. I walked over to my small vanity to see my face only slightly dirty so I smile and wash my face with a clean rag. I then hear groaning in the room next to mine. Father must be awake! I set the rag down and walk towards the doorway. I see him rise up, rubbing his head with a groan.
I lean in the doorway with a smile and my arms crossed. Father looks at me and groans out, "Ah, (Y/N), can you bring me a glass of water, please? I don't feel so we-" His eyes widen and he freezes.
He slowly looks at me, gets up fast, runs towards me, and tackles me into a hug. He surprised me because I fell back from his force. I laugh and hug Father tightly when I feel wet drops on my clothes. I look down to see tears streaming down his wrinkled and exhausted face.
I let a few run down my cheeks, overjoyed to see the man that raised me as his own. I pat his back a couple of times, trying to soothe him and also remind him that I'm really here and not a mirage.
He takes a few deep breaths and sobs again. I laugh softly and keep patting his back. "I'm here, Father. I'm home."
He lets out a loud cry but with a smile on his face.
"I've missed you so much, (Y/N)." He has red eyes, a red nose, and some snot slightly running. I smile contentedly and use my cape to wipe his face.
"I-I would hear tales about you and how you're the guardian angel of the Valkyrie. They spoke about how you fought with bravery and selflessness, which sounds about right. They described how beautiful and graceful you looked but that did not do you any justice."
I smile at his compliment and get up while helping Father stand up too. He then looks up at me, smiles, and raises his wrinkly yet strong hand, and lies it on my right cheek. "You've grown into a beautiful young lady, and I could not have been more proud of you."
I set my left hand on his hand and say, "I'm like this because of you, Father. You made me into the strong woman I am now." I look down at him with a small tear falling to my chin.
"Come, come. You must tell of your adventures while away." Father says as he walks into the kitchen at the same table I studied wing anatomy on. I smile and sit down, ready to tell him everything.
~Time skip~
"YOU ALMOST WHAT??!"Father screams at me with concern written all over his face. I scratch the back of my neck with a nervous smile. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ALMOST DIED!!"
I shake my head with a small smile and say, "Almost."
He scoffs in annoyance but smiles after that. "Well, I'm glad you got back safe." I smile but then look down sadly.
"What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Father asks me with concern in his voice.
I look up, grab his hand gently and say, "I cannot stay home, Father. I am under Thor Odinson's team so I will leave for missions. He took me back here, back home. But I promise you, that I will visit you every day, either before or after my missions."
He sighs and then smiles. "I'm just happy you're alive, dear."
I get up, lean down, and hug Father tightly. He hugs me back, sighing with contentment. "Be safe, dear. I'd rather see you be wed and have grandchildren."
"Father!!" I say, embarrassed by his words. I am technically at the age when women bear children, so about 25 in Earth years. But still! Father laughs at my reaction and pats my back.
"Go be a hero, (Y/N). I'll be here when you return." We exchange smiles and let go. "You better keep your promise, young lady!"
I walk towards the doors and laugh. I turn around and give a nod. Father smiles and I walk out to my trusty steed. "I'm sorry for taking forever, Isolde. I was speaking with Father after all of these years." I know she may not understand what I'm saying but I don't really care. But I do have a feeling she knows what I'm saying.
I hop on my saddle, pull my hood up, and head towards the castle gates. Of course, I am stopped by the guards and asked for my purpose. I pull my hood down with a smile and they too froze. One guard taps the door while the other shakes my hand. Both were silent when I walked through. I see Odin, Frigga, and Thor walk into the large room, talking about something probably important.
My hood is still off so Thor recognized me. He smiled widely and walked towards me. "Ah, (Y/N)!! Welcome to my home! Father, mother, this is my new friend, (Y/N) (L/N). She's the-"
"Yes, yes, we know about (Y/N), Thor." Odin interrupts with a large smile. I hop off Isolde with the reins in one hand and kneel down but Odin pulls me up and shakes my free hand.
I smile back and say, "It is the greatest honor to be in your presence, Odin."
"Nonsense! I should be honored to meet a warrior such as yourself!" Odin replies while pushing Frigga towards me to also shake my hand.
I kneel down in front of her and say, "It is an honor to be in your presence as well, my lady Frigga."
I hear her laugh softly and she pulls me up slowly. "I've heard many a tale about the guardian angel, (Y/N)."
I smile with a slight blush on my cheeks. Thor walks up to me and grabs my hand softly. "Now, since you are on my team, we can discuss and plan your very first mission!" I look up at him and smile a little wider.
I then look at Odin and his queen and say, "Please excuse me, your highnesses." They both nod with a smile and Thor guides me down a hall.
"Now, I must ask you a few questions if that is alright with you that is." I nod and he continues. "Do you know of my brother, Loki?"
I reply, "Yes."
He takes a deep breath in and out. "After my last mission, I lost my brother on a planet called Earth. I have been there before and I must retrieve him so he may be punished for his crimes."
I then say, "Okay, do you know his exact location on Earth?"
He replies, "Yes and we will be going together while the others sleep. If that is alright with you."
I think about it for a few seconds. Loki is known to be very, very mischievous and even more dangerous. I trust Thor knows what to do when we arrive. "That's alright with me. But I do require a few things."
He shows me a small smile and says, "Oh, do tell. Anything at all."
"Anything?"
"Anything."
I show him a smirk and say, "Well I would like a new set of armor, a sword, and a dagger."

Chapter 11: New Job
~(Y/N) POV~
I feel like I should regret speaking to King Odin's firstborn son with my chosen tone of voice...
But I don't.
He should've taken the hint that I'm not interested. I walk towards the stairs and I hear heavy footsteps behind me. Maybe, he can take me home..no. If he's here, that means he is either on a mission or in battle. He looks to be finished with a mission, as he bares few wounds. Plus, he is most likely looking for a woman to lay with.
I shake my head and continue onwards. I felt a large, calloused hand grab my left wrist not tightly but enough to hold me in place. Now I do not like being touched at all, much less being grabbed by someone that is trying to sleep with me. So I do something that I am still very proud of to this day.
I grab his wrist with my right hand, pull my hand out of his grasp and elbow him in the stomach. After he ducks forward from the impact, I jerk my elbow into his chin and he falls back. As he fell down, I massage my elbow, now feeling numb.
He's propped on his right elbow while rubbing his chin. His bottom lip was bleeding but not profusely. He looks at his marked hand, looks at me, and smirks. My stomach feels weird, being under his gaze. But my scowl grows at the sight of his cocky face.
I set my right foot on his chest and lower down to look closer at his face. I then set all of my weight onto my foot and he groans.
I finally spoke in the same dark tone as before, "If you dare touch me again, you will regret the day you ever laid your eyes on me. I am not a whore you can pay and lay with. Do not think at all that you can use your status and looks to slip into my clothes."
His eyes dilate at the end of my threat and he nods slowly. I move my leg off Thor's chest and walk off. As I unlocked the door to my room, I hear my stomach growl with hunger. I wrap my stomach with my right arm in pain and breathe heavily a few times. I have not eaten ever since the battle with Hela, I'm surprised I have not fainted.
I debate about eating, as I was used to the small amounts of food that were given at the training camp. I sigh in annoyance at myself and close the door. I'm sure that Thor had already left the inn so I continue walking down.
I walk to the bar and ask the man, "Do you have any food with you?"
The bartender looks at me and smiles softly. "Yeah, do you need some?"
His tone was very....soft like he was speaking to a lost child. I will admit I'm lost but his tone just made my cheeks red. Brunnhilde always spoke to me in that tone so it made my heart swell and I sheepishly nodded.
"Cuyler."
I hear him say as I look up at him with confusion on my face.
His smile grows as he says, "That's my name: Cuyler. But you may call me C if you prefer."
I nod in acknowledgment with a slight blush from embarrassment.
"So is that how you got it?" I ask with a lot of curiosity.
He raises his cut eyebrow in question.
"I meant your eye. Cuyler means archer so is that how you got it?"
He makes a face of realization and scratches the back of his neck. I smile slightly as it was adorable, like a puppy adorable.
"Yes and no. I was interested in archery when I was a young boy, but me being a young and idiotic boy, I didn't know how to use a bow and arrow. I held the arrow wrong and it flew back into my eye, causing me to lose sight. And my eyebrow is because of.." Cuyler pauses as he does a facepalm.
"Of what?" I was genuinely curious about this man, as I may as well get to know him as I'm staying.
He lets out a sigh and replies, "..my cat."
.
.
.
.
.
I look away from Cuyler, holding in a laugh behind my right hand.
He yells at me in a childish yet japing tone, "HEY, IT HAPPENS, ALRIGHT?!!"
I let out a few more giggles and apologize for my immaturity, not really apologizing for myself but for him. It's amusing to hear mistakes for such intriguing scars.
He hands me a brown bag of food, produce most likely. My dominant hand was about to grab my lunch when Cuyler snatches it up. I look up at him with an annoyed face, my stomach rumbling again.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. That was rather unfair of you, Madame. I answered your questions, you answer mine and I give you the food! Deal?"
I make my frown go deeper but sigh. I retract my hand and await his question. Cuyler smiles widely and giggles. Weirdo... He props his head on his right hand, looking at me in a daze.
"Where are you from? That is my first question!"
I raise an eyebrow but answer, "Asgard."
Cuyler's eyes widen and he freezes.
I pat his right cheek a few times and he yells, "YOU'RE FROM ASGARD??!"
I jump out of my seat and clamp my hand over his mouth.
"Will you shut it!?!", I whisper-shout. "Yes, I'm from Asgard. Adopted and raised."
I freeze and my eyes widen when I finish my sentence. I groan in annoyance and wait for Cuyler's reaction.
.
.
.
Huh?
I look up to see Cuyler with a sympathetic look on his face.
Here comes the pity shit.
"I'm sorry that happened, ma'am. I'm sure your guardian is an amazing parent." I sigh sadly in memory and nod.
"He is. I miss him dearly. I haven't seen him in 6 centuries. I'm not even sure he still lives.."
I feel a small tear fall down my (S/C) cheek, then I hear sobbing coming from the weird bartender. I look at him in slight worry and a lot of confusion
"Y-your sto-ory is s-so s-s-sAAAD!!"
I grab a handkerchief from my pocket and gently wipe his cheeks.
"You're making it seem like you've got a tragic childhood, Cuyler," I say with a slight giggle.
"Do f-forgive m-m-me.." Okay, he needs to chill his shit.
"I do, now please stop crying."
He blows his nose obnoxiously and tries to hand it back to me. I grab it with my thumb and pointer finger and throw it behind me. I pat his back until his breathing turns normal.
"I've only got three more questions now!"
"Name doesn't count."
"...what"
"You gave me your name by choice."
".......aight TWO MORE QUESTIONS THEN!!"
I giggle at his sentence and prop my chin up. "What's under the cape, pretty lady?"
I raise an eyebrow teasingly and also seriously. I look around to see no one but us so I don't mind showing Cuyler. I hop off the seat and walk backward. I smirk at his confusion and spread my beautiful wings out.
They knocked a few tables and chairs out of the way and almost hit the ceiling too. I look up to see Cuyler in awe at the new, bright sight. I smile softly and retracted them back under. I walk up to the stool and sit, waiting for his loud outburst.
.
.
.
.
Aaaaaaaand he fainted.
Cuyler falls to his right side, stiff as a board, and knocked two cups over.
I sigh and grab the bag of apples, now known by the feel. As I turn around, I bump into another broad and steel-like chest. As the apples fell out of the bag, I catch all of them before they hit the ground.
I sigh in relief but my face contorts into frustration as I look up at the stupid man that almost made me lose my lunch.
.
.
.
You've got to be kidding me.
Thor looks down at me with a wide grin and wide eyes. I look at him with so much confusion until he grabs my shoulders and shakes me while saying, "YOU'RE THE GUARDIAN ANGEL OF THE VALKYRIE, (Y/N)!!!"
I feel myself getting dizzy with the shaking and push his hands off.
"What gave it away?" I ask sarcastically.
I pull off my hood to show my (H/L) (H/C) hair (matted/greasy/in knots). My eyes were slightly dull (E/C) with a small sparkle. My lips chapped but in their natural color. My face had a few bruises as well.
Thor loudly chuckles and said, "Well, I was watching you from the entrance and you showed the peasant your wings, and *snap* I immediately knew it!" I furrow my eyebrows in slight annoyance.
"What do you want, Thor Odinson?" I ask in a taunting way.
"I wish for you to join my team of warriors! You're actually one of my heroes, also my brother, Loki."
I look at him, process his words, and pause in my steps. It could help me get back home, but I'd be in his debt. But I'd be well fed and more known. But Thor is annoying.
I walk in front of the prince of Asgard and ask in a very serious tone, "What makes you think I would join you and your team? What's in it for me?"
Thor chuckles again and pats my left shoulder. I look at him more angrily and he laughs nervously.
He then says, "You'll be more known as Guardian, warrior angel of Asgard!! You'll be fed, loved by many, and you'll be in my team, of course, I'd say that's the most important."
I look at him with a 'really, dude' face and he sighs.
"I can make sure you see your father again."
"Deal."

Chapter 10: Acquaintances
~(Y/N) POV~
As I walk towards Isolde, a great wind picked up from above. The rain was still pouring but I could honestly care less. I pull my hood over my eyes and jump onto the saddle. I lean forward a little to wipe the water off of Isolde's eyes and grip the reins.
I clicked my heels into her sides and she trotted down the dirt trail, leading to the inn that Thea spoke of. As the rain fell harder, I slowed down the horse to walk so she would not slip. I decided to stretch my wings out and move them above my head and over Isolde. She let out a whinny as if she was saying 'thank you'.
I smiled and said, "You're welcome.." I then saw a black blur running to the left side of the trail. I pull back the reins and dig my heels in. I then saw another blur but it was the color brown.
.
.
HOWL~
.
.
.
.
.
oh shit.
not now..
My eyes dart from the left and right frantically. My body freezes when my (E/C) eyes stare into a pair of glowing, yellow, primal eyes. I then flex my large wings out, making my (small/average/tall) figure look far more intimidating.
As I flexed my wings out, it seemed to have startled Isolde and she began galloping through the dark forest. I almost fell off but I held a firm grip on the reins. As the pack of wolves chased after us, I had to keep steering Isolde on the muddy trail. It was so much more difficult than with a pegasus since they could just fly away.
.
.
.
wait.
.
That's it.
I look up to grab a low-hanging branch and throw it behind me and it hits 4 out of the 9 wolves, causing the wolves to crash into the others. I smirk then pull Isolde to a quick stop. I quickly hop off and move under her. She looks down at me as if questioning what I'm doing.
I breathe in and lift with not a lot of my strength. All that hard training at the camp really paid off after all those years! I smile triumphantly and began to fly up when my right foot is caught in the jaws of the black wolf. I tell out in pain and kick with my other foot with my heel. The wolf let out a pained yelp and let go.
I then go up about 30 feet from the ground, now above the tree line, and fly towards a smoke line along with other rooftops. As I drew closer, I flew down and gently set Isolde down. I let out a sigh of relief as the wolf pack didn't seem to run out of the forest. I turned to my horse and stifled a laugh.
She looked terrified, to say the least, her mane was everywhere as well as her tail and her fur disheveled. Her black eyes were wide and her breathing was fast. I smile and walk up to comfort her. I coo at her like a frightened baby and rub her back, shoulders and cheeks. She slowly calms her breathing and I look ahead at the town, well it was a big town.
I inhale and exhale a few times to relax from the chase and hop onto Isolde once again. "You did an excellent job, Isolde~", I pat her right shoulder and make her walk. She lets out a soft and still scared whinny but continues. I shake my wings to (yeet) get the rain off my dirtied, white feathers.
After the little shakey shake, I hid my wings under my cape. Many men had stopped and stared at me while walking down the streets, the women sneak a glance with red cheeks, and the children abruptly stop their playing to stare in awe at my mysterious and dark presence.
I slightly smirk but continue on. After a few more steps, I took in my surroundings. Very cozy and welcoming. The smell of bread, tea, and old books brought my mind nostalgia. I feel my small smile fade as I remember Father. How I miss him. He's most likely perturbed about me. News about the battle with Hela must have spread quickly on Asgard.
I set two fingers on my right cheek and felt liquid. A tear. I inhaled, shaking with the sadness of the reality. I may never see him again. Oh, how I miss his jokes, his yelling at me to stop doing something stupid, and his hugs. His hugs I miss the most. Even with him being as tall as one of the stools, they always made me feel better after feeling negative.
I wipe the tears away and tie Isolde's reins to a post. I rub her neck and then pat it twice. She nudges her nose into my hand, wanting more pats. I laughed softly and walked into the building. I continue walking to the bar but don't take a seat. Not yet, at least.
The bartender is a male with blonde hair and green streaks. One beautiful hazel eye with blue hints and one pure white. Many freckles adorned his cheeks and he has a small scar on his left eyebrow. Wonder what he went through to gain that. Hopefully something heroic.
His left hand held a white rag and the other held a cup. His smile was flirtatious, and his eye had a glint of happiness. "Why, hello there, pretty lady~ What brings you here?" He sets his elbow on the counter, rag still in hand.
I look at him with a 'serious' face, not wanting to waste my time. I pulled out a pouch of coins, courtesy of Judas, and dropped it on the counter. In a deep tone that showed slight annoyance, I spoke, "A single bedroom for 2 days." The bartender looked at me, expecting a more polite response. I sigh softly and say, "Please."
He smiled brightly and walked away. I stood there, waiting a few seconds, and heard footsteps behind me. I don't turn around as I don't care, I only care about getting some sleep without a crazy witch watching over me.
"Please excuse me, madam?" said a very masculine and deep voice from behind me. I internally sigh but slowly turn around, not looking up to look at the man's face. His boots were black with golden rims. His pants are also black, along with his knee armor with gold rims. Apparently, the man is wearing a red cape that draped a little above his ankles.
"I couldn't help but notice you are wearing a bandit's attire, and it looks to have not fit you. Also, your cape was moving many a time, " says the mystery man, pointing at my outfit and cape from what I'm guessing by his body movements. I sigh and raise my head to see his face. My (E/C) eyes shimmered from the yellow-lit torches through my (H/L) (H/C) hair. My (L/C) lips closed shut, to show that I did not want to talk to him.
But as I looked at his face, I first noticed his eyes. Those gorgeous blue and slight green pools seem to blend so well together. Then to his hair. Those golden and most likely, silky locks fell over his slightly tanned face. Then onto his smile. Those perfectly aligned pearls seem to have a slight twinkle. It was a very handsome smile, making my heart race and my cheeks heat up.
My eyes slightly widen but I push down those thoughts and asked in a dark tone, "Why do you wish to know?" Again, trying to sound as intimidating as I look but he didn't seem to falter. He shows his smile again and says, "You even have a lovely voice as well!"
I was so close to turning around and fully ignoring his existence, but I said, "That did not answer my question." He shifts nervously but replies slightly shyly, "You just caught my eye as I walked in. I would like to buy you a drink if you will let me, fair maiden."
I feel a slight blush appearing but say, "I'm not interested. I apologize." I then turn around and the bartender comes back with the key to my room. Finally. He smiles at me and then looks behind me in awe. He drops the key and whispers, "You're Thor Odinson!!"

Chapter 9: On My Way
                                               ~(Y/N)’s POV~
The appaloosa was quite fast as we entered a small town about 23 minutes away. I admit I had trouble with riding the graceful beast as it had been a while since training with pegasi.
Wait, since I have wings and I'm riding a horse...does that mean that me and the horse is a pegasus? ...
Great Odin, I'm stupid.
That reminds me, I didn't even check the horse. ...That just sounds so weird. But since I stole them, I may as well give it a name.
I hopped off and slightly moved my eyes down to not look weird as all Hela. Female, huh. Doesn't look like she's had any foals. I will call her...Isolde [(ee-soul-dah)].
I slightly smile and start petting her shoulder and neck, giving her scratches. She seem to like it as she let out a soft whinny when I stopped. I giggled and continued for a few more minutes. She's very beautiful, but not as beautiful as Brunnhilde. . . . . . . . . . Brunnhilde. . Oh my dear god. . . How could I forget my love. . . . My body started to shake in fear, sadness and anger as I realized what had happened.
                                                   ~flashback~
As I was getting ready for our battle with Hela, I felt thick arms wrap around my slightly toned body. I feel heat rise up to my cheeks and I lean my head back onto her chest and put my arms on top of hers. I smile softly and sigh, content with the physical love I was receiving.
"Why hello, beautiful~" I hear coming from behind me in a loving yet teasing tone.
Brunnhilde, oh how I love you. Her arms were slightly sweaty so she must have finished her workout, she must have been in pain. She tends to go overboard with working out, says that it's to impress me.
"Hello, my love." I reply with love in my voice.
She doesn't have to do anything to impress me, but she insists. Brunnhilde then grabs a hold of my right hand gently and raises it to twirl me around. I giggle slightly and spin. Only she knows how childlike my personality is. I look serious on the outside but in my brain, I'm most likely thinking about Odin's son in a dress named Sparkle Gate.
. . . Yeesh, I'm glad she can't read my thoughts.
"My my, how are you always this beautiful?" Brunnhilde asks in question.
I blush as always, not used to receiving compliments, even from my future wife. I put my red face into his chest in embarrassment and hug her tighter. I hear her laugh and she strokes my hair as to comfort me.
"You are too adorable, my love."
I snuggle my head into her chest more and say, "Nooo~".
Her compliments always flustered me, whether from training, working out, cleaning up, even eating. Never really understood eating but I'm apparently as pretty as a white llama. I chew my food like one and I never got so confused with being insulted and complimented.
"You should go get ready, honey. I don't like you getting in trouble.." I say in a shy tone while hugging her, slightly swaying my body side to side. I move my head to the side to breathe.
"Pssh, I ain't gonna get in trouble, sweetie. I will in a minute, lemme love you."
                                               ~Flashback end~
She ended getting in trouble but the affection was worth it. My eyes well up with tears but I let out a small, sad chuckle. I miss her so much. I miss her smile, her laugh, her hugs... I may not see her again. Wait, I don't even know where I am.
Drop . . Drop . . I move my fingers to my face to feel water. I sigh loudly and drag Isolde to the nearest building and tie her reins to the post. The rain fell more and more on me and Isolde and made me drenched.
The hood was very wet but it kept my face from being more wet. The building is a bar. I walk through the doors and froze. There were many men and only a few women. Judas' cape covered my wings so I didn't look abnormal, at least more abnormal now.
I walk slowly towards the bar and sit in a stool. A bartender walks towards me with a small smile and asked, "Hello there, stranger. There anything I can get you?"
I look up slightly and see the bartender to be pretty but not beautiful. She has green eyes with fair skin. Her hair was a sunset orange that suits her face shape. Small, pink lips that curved into a sweet smile. Rosy cheeks that showed me that she was busy running around. Her work attire was dirty but clean in some places from what I could see.
I answer in a low tone, "I'm looking for a place to stay for a while." She nods in acknowledgement and replies with, "I know a place, Eivana's Tavern. She most likely has a room open, it's not too far from here, actually. It's to your right as soon as you exit our doors" She points towards her right.
I nod and thank her for the new info. I set 12 coins that I got off of Judas onto the counter and get up.
                                                   ~3rd POV~
As the hooded and beautifully mysterious woman was walking away, the bartender looks at the coins, looks up at the figure, and smiles in appreciation. The bartender was never used to getting tips, let alone 12 coins.
As the woman was walking away, a man stood in front of her. One of the regulars that has feelings for the bartender. Jealousy was written all over his face, everyone could see. The woman sighed in annoyance and continued to walk. The bartender watched warily, ready to break up the fight that may ensue.
"Arthur, don't start now please. She did nothing wrong." The bartender said to the large man in front of (Y/N).
                                                  ~(Y/N) POV~
Man, I really don't want to do this. I have no time for this stuff. The man known as Arthur then pushed me back, causing me to stumble a bit.
I stood up straighter with a hard glare and demanded, "Get out of my way."
Arthur lets out a growl and said, "You don't get to talk to Thea! You think since you tipped her more than me that you're better than me?!" . . . THUD . . . I socked this man in the face with all of my might and anger from Hela and by him. My knuckles were barely bruised from all of the training I went through at the camp. I inhaled sharply and exhale deeply. I turn around to talk to 'Thea'.
"I apologize for my action, Miss Thea. He's not dead, just knocked out. Also, do not fall for him, obsessive and concerning behavior is something no one should go through."
I step over Arthur and walk out.

Yandere!Batfam x Reader
~WARNING: STALKER BEHAVIOR, THEFT, OVERALL CREEPYNESS, YANDERE VIBES~
Clueless.
Hopelessly, beautifully naive.
It is truly a curse and a blessing when it comes to you.
On one hand, you don't notice how I peer into your window or look through the hidden cameras in your home.
On the other, you don't notice how I peer into your window or look through the hidden cameras in your home.
As much as I don't want to show you how and who I really am, I crave you.
I yearn for you.
I want to feel you. Your skin, your breath, your gaze.
Yet, you are so close yet so far away from my reach.
Darling, you truly do not know and I am grateful.
You haven't noticed me watching you from the window near your bed.
You haven't noticed me watching you read this.
You haven't noticed me collecting your clothes from the bedroom floor.
You haven't noticed me taking your old toothbrush or hairbrush or hair band.
You look frightened and I can see you slightly quivering with paranoia, I wish I could hold you and comfort you, my love.
You truly haven't noticed me at all, at least in this form.
I hope it stays that way. For now.<3

Chapter 8: A Whole New World
~(Y/N) POV~
.
.
.
Darkness.
That was all I could see.
But I felt pain.
Everywhere.
Mostly in my heart and stomach.
I felt like I was going to throw up.
I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I felt....defenseless.
Disappointment.
Frustration
Sadness.
I've always loathed negative feelings but I could never escape them.
I felt weak.
Physically.
Wake up.
~
I move my body, trying to feel around for anything but only felt...softness? My eyelids slowly open but I regret immediately. There was a bright light. No. Many bright lights that burned my eyes.
Where am i?
I groan in pain and exhaustion and sit up. I look around to find myself on a large bed in an even larger bedroom. The sheets were blood red silk that felt too smooth not to touch. The pillows are the exact same. It took some effort to not fall asleep right then and there.
I have a black silk nightgown on my body. This does look nice on me. I see black flats with a small grey bow on the shoe and it completes the looks. My wings could even stretch and move properly! But I've no time for fashion sense.
The large room was dark as only candlesticks were lit and the fireplace had died down. The windows were shut by black, long curtains that seem to hide all light from the outside.
I then remember my fatal wounds and I walk towards a large mirror. My stab wound is patched up. My arms will now have small scars, as with my legs as well. My face is clean but I look paler than normal. I felt weaker and more dizzy too. Perhaps I lost a lot of blood during Hela's encounter.
Hela.
I gasped at the realization, the pieces now clashing into each other. My heart rate picks up as I hear a knock on the door. I swear in fear and run to hide under the large bed.
A voice rings out,"(Y/N), my dear. Are you awake?"
I try to calm my hectic breathing as the doors open. I see two black heeled boots walk slowly around the bed.
A sultry and deep chuckle erupts from the witch. She continues to walk slowly around the room and says, "Ah, you are in the mood for games? Very well. Let's play, darling."
My heart is now racing in fear and I put my left hand on my mouth, trying to silence my heavy breathing. I have to figure out how to leave this place... Hela walks towards the closet on the right side of the room. As she is looking through the hanged clothes, I silently roll out from under the bed and tiptoe towards her.
She then turns around and I shove her into the closet and shut the doors. I frantically look around the room to shut the doors with. I then grab the fire pick and slide it through the handles.
I hear Hela yelling, "This is starting to become fun but pathetic at the same time."
That's my cue to run towards the windows and jump out. My arms will have more cuts but I couldn't care less. I just needed to escape. As I fall from a tall height, I stretch out my wings and fly away. I didn't know where I was flying but if I was away from her, I'm happy. As I fly away, I could hear things crashing and breaking and it caused me to go faster than ever.
~
I land in a forest, hopefully far, far away from Hela. My wings needed rest as I have flown for quite some time. I then walk through the forest, hoping to find a stream or a village. As I kept walking, I heard a twig snap.
I pause, waiting to hear another sound. I look around for an animal perhaps or a person, only to see a bunny hop out from a bush. I can't help but be paranoid with Hela looking for me. I shake my head but get shoved to the ground. My hands get in front of my body to stop myself but I hear a sickening pop come from my left hand.
I let out a loud scream of pain as my wrist is broken. I then jerk my head back, hitting someone mostly in the face as a man yells out in pain. I rise and grab his sword that he left on the ground. I then point at him with it, my adrenaline simmering down.
He looks at me with slight fear in his eyes and puts his hands in front of him. I scowl, looking to the side to see his face. Bright green eyes, chestnut hair, nicely tanned skin, slight stubble, and a scar on the left bottom side of his cheek.
Pretty eyes..but that doesn't change the fact that he just tried to harm me.
I then take a look at his attire. A bandit. Should've seen that coming. I ask in a dark tone to seem menacing, "Who are you?"
His eyes widen and he props himself on both of his hands. My right hand, still holding a strong grip on the sword. "Speak while you can, bandit."
He then gulps and replies in a deep but timid tone, "My name is Judas, ma'am.." I glare at him but don't engage on hurting him.
"Why did you try to harm me?", I ask in the same dark tone.
He then sits up straighter and says in a cocky tone of voice, "I don't think you know how to use that, ma'am."
I then smirk and cut off a piece of his brown hair, the blade barely missing his ear. He froze in fear and I pulled back the sword. "I could've cut your ear off there, Judas. But I am in need of help. You help me and I spare your life. Deal?"
He stands up and chuckles.
So, he's not taking me serious, huh? Very well then.
He then says to me in a teasing tone, "I help you and YOU spare ME? I don't think so, honey."
There it is. That one damned word. That one word I've always hated for so many years.
Honey.
I then spread my wings out, towering over me and Judas. His eyes widen in shock as I walk towards him in an angry way. I'm way beyond angry. This low life thinks he can think less of me and call me 'honey'?! I don't think so.
I send out a huge gush of wind, sending Judas flying and hitting a tree. Damn, he's knocked out. Ugh. I then glide over towards his body, now gone limp. I then look at his clothes closely. I'm going to regret this.
Surprise, surprise. I can fit into his clothes. The hood is great, boots are slightly big but not too much, the belt now snug on my waist, the pants loose but I don't care, and the top is loose so it doesn't show my chest so that's a plus. I had to use his dagger to cut two holes for my wings. Although, the nightgown was beautiful but it suits Judas more.
I then find, what I'm guessing, is his horse. The horse was white with black spots. An appaloosa. Good choice, Judas. My wings are still exhausted from the long flight and I couldn't just leave the poor thing out here! It's too beautiful! I smirk and hop onto the brown saddle, riding through the dirt trail. I hope a village is nearby...

Chapter 7: Bad Dream?
~Steve Rogers' POV~
I jolted up, breathing heavily as I feel myself drenching in sweat. I look around my room for any person that may have entered and woke me up but alas no one. I let out a deep breath of relief, now only remembering why I woke up.
It was only a nightmare. Nothing to worry about.
As I close my eyes and try to remember my bad dream, I see a girl. She had to be part of my imagination because no one can look that stunning. She looked perfect in every way. Beautiful (H/C) that shined in the sun, a breath-taking and radiant smile, and the most gorgeous (E/C) eyes I've ever seen. She was at a nice height with some curves and it was driving me nuts. She was just so.....flawless.
No. Peggy is my one and only. She was my everything. But this girl..no woman....not even that..this goddess is..she's different.
I groan in frustration and leave my warm but super sweaty bed, grabbing my bag and leaving for the gym to release my annoyance on yet another punching bag. I should really be watching my strength on these guys. I've already broken 4 in the past week.
As I reach the gym, I flick the lights on and hang up a bag. I wrap my knuckles in bandages and get into a fighting position. I give a left hook, left again and then right hook, already seeing dents in the sides. I keep punching, releasing my stress. I swear I could hear gunfire. Explosions. I was running through the woods. The ground beside me blew to the sky, some hitting my eyes but I kept moving. I remember the weapon HYDRA made as the ring echoed from my shield. I keep punching, realising my flashbacks are coming back violently.
"There's not enough time! I gotta put her in the water!"
I try not to remember that day. How cold I was. The pain I felt in my heart. Freezing over was worse.
"You won't be alone."
Peggy. How I miss you. I can hear her voice in my head, repeating that sentence like a prayer.
"Oh my God.. This guy's still alive!!"
WHOOSH
THUD
I open my eyes to see the bag 10 feet in front of me and leaking sand in the hole I created. I breathe heavily then sigh, realising that I'm going to have to purchase another one. I grab another bag on the side, hang it up and keep punching, releasing the small amount of stress I've got now.
"Trouble sleeping?" Nick Fury. The guy who dug me up from the ice. Strong, brave but persistent as hell.
I reply, "I've slept for 70 years, sir. I think I've had my fill." I then punch the bag and it echoes.
"Then you should be out, celebrating, seeing the world", Fury says, sounding like he wants to know the real reason why I'm awake. I shrug it off and walk away to take off my bandages.
"When I went under, the world was at war. I wake up and they say we won. They didn't say what we lost," I retort, trying to give the hint that 'Hey, I'm supposed to be 80 years old, not 26'.
As I take off the left bandages, Fury says, "We've made some mistakes along the way, some very recently." I turn my head, hearing the stretched 'recently'.
I then ask, "Are you here with a mission, sir? Trying to get me back into the world?"
"Trying to save it." Fury holds out an orange packet towards me and I look at him, a little concerned. I grab it and open it, already glancing at the cube.
I grumble out, "Hydra's secret weapon." I didn't want anything to do with HYDRA. Not now and not ever.
I hear Fury say, "How Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for you, he thought what we think that the Tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy. And that is something the world sorely needs." I frown and close the packet.
"So who stole it from you?", I ask.
Fury replies, "He's called Loki. He's...not from around here. There's a lot to bring you up to speed on if you're in. The..world has gotten more stranger than you already know." I sigh and get up, ready to go back to sleep.
"Well I doubt anything would surprise me," I say, not in the mood for japing.
As I grab a punching bag, I hear, "$10 says you're wrong. There's a briefing packet in your apartment. Is there anything you can tell us about the Tesseract that we ought to know now??"
As I walk away from Fury, I reply, "You've should've left it in the ocean."
I pause.
Maybe he would know something about the woman in my dream.
I slowly turn around and ask, "Do you know anything about a woman with (H/L) (H/C) hair with (E/C) eyes? She has white wings and wore gold and silver battle armor."
Fury looks at me and chuckles slightly. I frown, being serious about finding out who she is.
"That, my friend, would be (Y/N) (L/N), The Warrior Angel. She was known to be the only woman that was an angel and not from Heaven. She fought in many wars and was constantly reminded of her bravery, kindness and beauty. Say, why do you ask, Mr. Rogers?", he asks teasingly.
I feel my cheeks warm up a little bit but say, "She was in my dream. I didn't even know she existed. Why did she appear?"
Fury then explains, "Well since she's an angel, angels can enter your mind to calm you and to push away nightmares. Basically watching over your dreams. So she was watching over you. Bad dreams can happen but never to bad nightmares. It's beliefs that go along with that since you're Christian. Though, I don't understand how she's able to do that now."
I sigh, now knowing she was an angel. Though I am happy that she chose to help me.
"Well when I die, I hope to meet her", I say with genuine adoration.
Fury then says with a smirk, "I can see the hearts around your eyes, you know." I frown and walk out of the gym, thinking about if this mission is really worth it or not.

Chapter 6: Aftermath
-Brunnhilde POV-
She's gone. The one I almost called my love...is gone. That evil witch took her. I wasn't fast enough. WHY COULDN'T I MOVE FAST ENOUGH?!! Why did I have to look away from her for only a second? Why was I frozen? She was right there, dying. Her beautiful (L/C) lips were moving but I couldn't hear. My ears went silent. It looked like she said 'Even in death..'
Those words would forever haunt me. Those words that we made as a code. That we would stay together forever, even in the afterlife. But I'm alive. Why must one of us die? We would've still had each other. I could've held her in my arms. I could've kissed her once again. I could've shown her all of my love. But now...she's gone..
I rise up to look around for (Y/N), my mind clouded and filled saying that she's over there by the rocks or over here by the bottom of the hill. Not that she was taken by the enemy. Not that she was out of my sight forever. Desperate to seek for just a word or small movement but come to find none of either. My hope was fading quick. Too quick to say the least.
I then hear a muffled voice. I turn to my right and see a hand, moving in the air as if waving to me. I never ran so fast in my life, jumping over rocks and bodies like nothing. I then feel tears running down my face but I pay no mind to wipe them. I arrive at the hand, pulling the rocks off of the body, full of hope that it was (Y/N).
My daring and beautiful (Y/N).
I see a full arm and I grab ahold of it, pulling with all of my strength to hold my love. I then pull the woman into my arms. Now looking to see my lover's beauty, I freeze.
It was my general. Her face was tattered with bruises and cuts. She was clutching her right side, now seeing that she was stabbed. It looked as it didn't hit any vital organs but she was losing blood. I pull her to her feet and set her to sit on a flat rock. My body was now shaking. Sadness, hopelessness, and anger just flooded my entire being.
I fall to my knees with my head in my hands. I then let out a scream. It was full of raw and negative emotion, it brought me to more tears. It was gut wrenching to my general to hear but I could care less. My heart was taken out, stabbed, pulled apart and gone.
A rough voice breaks through my sobbing. "Are you the last survivor?"
I don't look at my general, my eyes now growing dull of color. The tears never stop flowing. I could feel my own body lose all of the fluid just from my eyes.
I nod slightly, unsure the I may not be the only survivor but the only one from miles. I hear a sigh of sadness. I can't bear to pick my head up to look at my general's defeated face. If seeing my (Y/N)'s dying face didn't kill me enough, my general's disappointed face would hurt my soul more. Knowing that I failed my mission to rid of Hela. Knowing that the enemy took one of ours. That she took my love. My one and only. I feel more tears run down my cheeks.
(Y/N)..Why did you have to be a hero..?
I raise my arm to wipe my tears away when I hear a whinny. I turn to my left to see a Pegasus with minor scrapes but still in good condition. I whistle to the Pegasus, making the majestic creature trot towards me and my general. I then move to wrap my arm around my general, holding her in place and onto the Pegasus.
As she is set on the saddle, she then says, "You fought with honor and strength. That's all that matters now. You are a true Valkrie."
No. No, I'm not. Everyone else is dead and the love of my life is gone. My love is the true Valkrie. She saved me. She basically "took one for the team." I couldn't even save her. She was right in front of me and I just stood there. I'm nothing but a coward. Pathetic. Weak.
"I lost her. She jumped in front of me and took a blade into her ribs. She was taken after that. She's gone.." I feel tears building up again, taunting me to let them flow carelessly.
"You can't save everyone. But you can save millions of others. One life does not compare to billions-"
I then feel sorrow and rage course through my body, very upset that my general would say such a thing.
"I WOULD RATHER EVERYONE DIE THAN HER!! SHE IS MY EVERYTHING AND SHE IS GONE!!! I LOST THE ONE THING THAT KEPT ME GROUNDED, HAPPY IN LOVE AND YOU EXPECT ME TO EVEN THINK THAT WAY??!"
"CALM YOURSELF, BRUNNHILDE!! LOOK AT YOU! YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A CHILD! WE ALL LOSE PEOPLE WE HOLD DEAR TO US!! YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS SUFFERING! I JUST LOST MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO A SINGLE PERSON WHILE YOU FRET OVER ONE PERSON!! GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF! IS THIS WHAT (Y/N) WOULD'VE WANTED FOR YOU??!!"
I pause in shock and anger. I let the tears in my eyes flow like a weak dam.
Is this what she would want me to react? No, she would hold me close and tell me that everything will be alright and that she loves me. She would help me.
I let out a shaky sigh and replied quietly, "No. No, she wouldn't."
I miss her so much already. I miss my (Y/N)'s hugs of when I would protest even though I never wanted to let go. She smelled of lavender and roses, always making me relax everytime I kissed or hugged her. I miss her soft, beautiful (L/C) lips touching mine or my body. Her beautiful (E/C) eyes shining like stars and looking at me, full of love and patience. I miss her soft (H/L), (H/C) hair, the way it moved in the wind everytime we sparred. I miss running my fingers through her hair, making her instantly relax and let out a soft and cute sigh. I miss her.
"I miss her too, Brunnhilde. But now I must fly back to the camp and fix my wounds. Find another way to head back to camp", says my general.
She then nudges the Pegasus, making the creature let out a soft whinny and fly away into the sky. I nod softly and began to look around for another beautiful creature.
After about 2 hours of searching, I hear a loud noise, like something opening and I feel myself floating up in a ray of blue. I thrash around, trying to escape it but fail as I let out a scream of fear and panic.

Chapter 5: Disaster
(Time skip 600 years)
Me and Brunnhilde became close over the years. So close that I grew feelings for her, but sadly I was too shy to admit and I was scared of rejection. I mean, HAVE YOU SEEN HER?? Flirting was on the table, hand holding as well. But dating was to be seen. It was restricted sadly but that's why we did it secretly, though I'm sure the others know about my feelings. Until the day before my squad left for the war.
My hands were shaking and so sweaty, wanting to confess to Brunnhilde. But I was preparing myself with the unseen scenarios of fighting on my poor pillow. Blocking, kicking, punching, shoving, stabbing, everything. I was about to punch my pillow again when Brunnhilde walked through the door of my room, looking somber than ever.
She had dark trousers with a black tight shirt that showed her quite muscular arms. I paused and blushed a light red, imagining her arms around me, making me feel safe and loved.
I look away in embarrassment when she says, "You wanna touch them?"
I wasn't looking at her but I could tell she was flexing. I hear her teasing yet beautiful laugh. I could feel her body heat as she walked closer to me, step by nervous step. I look down, finding a small hole more interesting than my crush of 480 years.
I freeze when I feel her hot breath in my left ear. "(Y/N)...", I never felt so many shivers in my body in my life.
I reply nervously, "Yes..?"
I then feel a soft yet rough hand on my right cheek, making me face Brunnhilde. I look into her eyes with love and adoration. Her beautiful, chocolate brown eyes stare back into my (E/C) eyes with the same amount of love.
She lets out a sad and somewhat frustrated sigh and says, "We head into battle at dawn. Which means that we may die. I can't really sugarcoat it as I'm sure you know as well. There are many things that I wish I could've done before this war. Travel to many different places, settle down, eat weird foods, interact with rich snobs. But there is only one thing I can do before I take my leave forever."
I feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach, thinking that she could be confessing to me. I decided to grow a pair, taking my last chance and move forward with my hands pulling on her shirt. I feel her body freeze against mine but I kept moving my lips on hers. I then wrap my arms around her neck, deepening the desperate yet romantic kiss. I know if I would die not showing my feelings for her, I would completely lose my shit, even in death. This was my very last chance to let her know how I truly feel about her. She was the first person that I felt something for. Love. My mind was racing with thoughts like she didn't love me back, she now hates me, or she probably likes me as a friend. My stomach butterflies were replaced with fireworks when I felt Brunnhilde kiss me back.
I reluctantly pull back to breathe, my arms still around Brunnhilde's neck. I close my eyes for a moment then look back at Brunnhilde. Her eyes were wide, a dark red blush overtook her soft chocolate-toned skin, her lips more puffy than normal. She was beauty reincarnated. I feel my heart swell with more love than I've ever felt.
I say, "So..I kinda like you.."
I look down, still blushing. She lets out a breathy laugh and strokes her hand on my cheek.
"..I kinda like you too, Angel," replies Brunnhilde, realizing that her crush returns her feelings.
I smiled widely and pulled her back, locking my lips on her again with more passion.
----------------------------------------------
Determined. Terrified. Brave. Strong. Sad. Slow. Fast. Smart. Idiotic. Weak.
Those words were the only thing that described my very being. My mind was filled with those words, setting them on a loop that never ended. Here I was, flying through the sky, fully armoured, sword and shield in hand, heart in my throat. I had no cape because of my wings but everyone else did. Behind me was more than my squad but the whole camp. They were riding the beautiful and graceful beasts called Pegasus. Brunnhilde was on my left and the lady that helped me sneak into the ship on my right, who was later addressed as Priscilla or Prissy. We were waiting for my general's command to dive from the clouds. I look to my right and waited a minute more.
"DIVE!!"
I quickly doved first, scouting the area for the one that started this battle.
Hela.
She was smack dab in the middle of the black land. Her helmet made her all the more scary but I had no time for fear. Only time to win. I was never told of her powers or her fighting skills. Only that she was very dangerous and must be stopped. I saw her face stretched into a psychopathic smile as she spotted me.
I shook off my fear but it quickly returned when she threw out her arms. Dark colored blades flew out of her hands, too many to count. I quickly dodged three of them with my shield but one scarred my right arm. I yell out in pain but continue flying towards her with my shield in front and my blade ready to attack. I then hear a scream that sounded too familiar. I look to my left to see Brunnhilde falling as her pegasus was struck.
I gasp and dive as fast as I could, putting my sword in my hilt and stretching my arm out for her. DAMMIT GO FASTER, I thought. I finally reach her, grabbing her forearm tightly and pulling her towards me.
"I got you..", I whispered to her as I slowly fly down to the ground.
As our feet touch the ground, I let go of her and put my left arm in front of her, "Stay put, please."
Brunnhilde, being as stubborn as she is, replies, "No, I'm fighting beside you!"
I shake my head and say "No, you are not. You will be killed!"
Brunnhilde grabs both of my hands and yells, "Then let me die fighting, my love!!"
I pause, not expecting that from her but she gives me a hard and desperate kiss. I immediately kiss back, thinking this will be our last and I want to savor it for as long as we can.
She's the first to pull back and say, "Even in death,"
"We'll be together", I finish.
I look at her sadly and nod. She lets go of my hands and we run out to see only death. Pegasus and sisters. I gasped in shock but I keep moving, already plotting my revenge on the woman that caused this.
She spots me before I spot her and speaks in a deep and sultry voice, "Dear Angel."
I freeze but spread my wings so Brunnhilde can sneak to the right of me and hide behind a rock.
My eyes start to glow white and I then feel hot streams of tears run down my cheeks and scream out, "WHY MUST YOU DO THIS??!"
I take a small step towards her, sword and shield ready. She cackles an evil laugh that sent dread down my spine but I kept my angry face. She then walks toward me and I step back.
She smiles and says, "Why not?"
I growl with anger and fly to her with my shield to my chest and sword in front of me, ready to stab this witch. She dodges my lunge with perfect agility, making me gasp in slight shock. I then lower myself to the ground, now standing 9 feet in front of Hela.
As her back was towards Brunnhilde, I try to keep Hela facing me as Brunnhilde plans to sneak up on her. Why must I always be the distraction? I then ask a question that was nagging me ever since she looked at me:
"Why haven't you killed me yet?"
She looks at me with slight shock but chuckles darkly. My eyes grow more white because of her laugh.
She replies, "You're too beautiful to waste killing. I can already tell you're a magnificent fighter."
I then look at her with wide eyes and a small tint of pink on my cheeks. I shake the somewhat compliment away.
I look at her with anger in my eyes and my sword ready to be plunged into her heart, "That's not gonna keep me from killing you, you evil bitch."
She lets out a fake sad gasp with a dramatic hand on her chest.
She replies to my insult with a fake sad tone, "That really hurt, you know. I called you beautiful and useful."
"Flattery will get you nowhere but dead," I say the last word with only rage and venom in my voice.
I slightly shift my head to the left of Hela to see Brunnhilde getting closer to Hela with her sword ready. Hela then noticed my attention shifted to someone else and turned around. I take my chance and fly as fast as I could towards Hela's back and stick my sword out when she suddenly ducks and kicks my right knee, breaking it with two loud CRACKS.
I let go of my shield and sword as I scream out in pain. I then fall to the ground and right in front of my soon-to-be fiancee, holding my knee tightly as tears run down my dirty face. Brunnhilde lowers down to hold my body in her arms, shaking in sadness and fear. I feel a tear hit my forehead, already knowing it's Brunnhilde crying.
Hela sighs in disappointment and says, "Angel, why did you do that? It already hurts me to see you-"
"SHUT UP!!", yelled out Brunnhilde as she sets me onto a rock.
She takes one glance at me and then ran as fast as she could to grab my shield and sword.
My eyes widen and I arise to fly to my lover and scream out, "NO!!"
Hela smirks and throws a dagger towards Brunnhilde and it felt as if time had stopped right then and there.
Brunnhilde was screaming, Hela was smiling like the maniac she is and I was flying faster than ever. I then see a bright white flash in my eyes, now showing memories of my life. The trade with my parents, meeting Mr. Baker, getting my wings, making my first disastrous birthday cake, training my wings while Father helped me, flying for the first time in the sky, petting the birds in the trees, seeing the bright and beautiful bridge, seeing the palace of Odin, finding the recruitment paper on the tree, telling Father about it, waving goodbye at him, meeting Brunnhilde for the first time, everytime we laughed, everytime we flirted, everytime we held hands, and my last memory: me and Brunnhilde having our first kiss.
It came through me like an emotional tidal wave. I never got to live my life with my lover. I never got to see my Father's reaction of me coming home. I never got to tell Father about my lover. I never got to help Father with his bakery grow. But if my life ended because I saved my one and only Brunnhilde, so be it.
I close both of my eyes and felt one tear slip out of my left eye and then dive in front of the dagger, feeling it pierce my stomach, glide through my body and into my back, barely touching my lower spine. I freeze in pain and when I tasted blood in my mouth.
I slowly look up at Hela, who had her eyes wide in shock and horror, her hand still outstretched in front of her. I fall to my knees, now looking down at the blade in my body.
"NO!!"
"NO!!"
I hear the only two voices I know exist. I slowly turn around to see Brunnhilde with the same look of horror and shock, if not worse. I smile softly at her, now feeling the blood in my mouth drip out past my lips and down my chin. I fall to the ground on my left side and keep looking at my lover one last time. I try to speak to Brunnhilde as I hear heeled shoes run towards me from behind.
"Even in death,..."

Chapter 4: New Beginnings
After I introduced myself to Bruunhilde, we had a conversation, mostly about our personalities and likes and dislikes. I found out that she was 1,890 years old so I said that I was 1,730. It hurt a little to lie to her, seeing that she was my new and only friend. But I couldn't see ler her know. She might rat me out from it. She then asked a question that made me blush a little.
"Can I touch your wings?"
I froze a little and widen my eyes a little. I felt my cheeks get a little hot as well.
She then says, "O-only if you let me. I won't do it if you don't feel comfortable."
I shake my head a little and reply, "It's alright. I just haven't been asked that so I didn't know what to say."
I then stretch my right wing out a little in front of me, now looking at Bruunhilde in the eyes. I nod shyly at her and she smiles softly, making me blush from her beauty. I feel her hand stroke the primaries of my wing, letting out a giggle as it slightly tickles. She lets out a small laugh and starts moving to the secondaries, the touch now making me blush a little, as it feels different from the ticklish feeling. She looks at me then looks back at my wing. I swear I could see a bit of pink on her cheeks.
Nah, probably me seeing something.
She comments, "Wow..they're so soft..."
I blush a dark red and reply, "T-thanks.."
She drops her hand and I pull my wing back. She looks down as if she's contemplating something, like a question.
She then lets out a breath and asks, "Can I ask you a question?"
I nod and wait for it. She hesitates for a moment but asks the question that made my happy mood drop harder than (Gamora in Infinity War) ever.
(....too far I apologize.)
"How did you gain your wings?"
I stared at her for a moment, frozen in slight shock, not seeing that coming(wink wonk). I feel a tear slip out of my eye.
She then says, "I'm sorry if it's too personal. I'm sorry."
I then wipe my tear away with my left arm. "It's okay. I trust you enough to tell you..", I pause, trying to summarize my story the best I can.
I take a deep breath in and out, feeling Bruunhilde's stare.
I start, "To summarize it the best I can do, my parents traded me for food and money. The old man out there, waving goodbye at me, was my adoptive father. After about two weeks of living with him, I remembered my parents and cried for a while, trying to think about the less negative things on why they traded me. As I thought that way, I felt two slashes on my back and I fainted after that."
I look down as I feel more tears on my face, trailing down my cheeks and onto my nose and chin. I snifle a little but wipe my face from the sadness. I look up at Bruunhilde and she looks like she's on the verge of tears. I was slightly shocked and I hugged her tightly but not too tightly. I wouldn't wanna lose my first friend.
She shakes a little bit as my head is in her shoulder.
She hugs back and says, "I'm so sorry that happened to you..It must have been heart breaking for you and I can't imagine the pain you went through.."
I hug her a little tighter then let go.
I reply, "It's alright now. Because of that, I grew these bad boys."
I smile and move my wings out a little. We both laugh softly and we stare at each other, I was staring at her eyes, feeling myself dive into those beautiful pools on her face. I then look away, blushing more red than before. I hear her laugh sounding nervous and I laugh a little as well.
"Well ladies, welcome to your new home."
I look up at the speaker to the right of me and smile. I turn to look out the window and see green forests, yellow birds flying above the trees, and a rather large mountain with clouds covering some of it. I gasp in amazement. I never really journeyed to anywhere else other than Asgard, so this...this is amazing in every way. I was so in awe that I didn't see Bruunhilde looking at me.
Bruunhilde POV
Honestly, I never expected such an angel to be joining the Valkries. Even without the wings, (Y/N) looks so beautiful. She looked like a child that got their first toy, looking outside. She looks so full of joy, innocence, and just everything positive in the whole galaxy. The bright light from the outside seem to make her (E/C) glisten, like stars in the night sky. Her smile is what took my breath away. Her smile was bright, showing off those beautiful pearls with happiness and excitement.
(Y/N) is perfect in every way.
(Y/N) POV
The ship was sadly slowing down so I couldn't see the top of the forest anymore. I frowned a little when I hear a laugh beside me.
"Don't look so down, Angel. You know you can fly up to look again, right?", says Bruunhilde with a smirk on her face.
I blush in embarrassment when I realized, oh yeah..i got wings..Wait did she just call me Angel..?
I blush slightly when the nickname was said. We both rise and grab our belongings. We walk to the door with another lot of women, waiting to step out into our new home. I look to my right and smile at Bruunhilde.
She gives a small smile back and looks at the doors, now opening. I take a deep breath in and out, trying to calm myself but failing from so much excitement. I smile at the new things that can happen. I take a step out of the ship when I think...
War, here I come.

Chapter 3: Go My Own Way
~
Father froze in his seat.
I had been thinking greatly about what I wanted to do outside of the bakery. Don't get me wrong, I love my home and Father, especially the food but that's beside the point. I had flown over the town before and I saw a paper on a tree. It said that the Valkries were in need for more warriors. I don't mean to brag but I'd say I'm in good shape. My muscles are noticeable and I'm at a good height. Plus my wings are stronger as I practiced. I think I could really help them.
"WHAT??!", said Father in a loud voice.
I slightly winced at the volume but still remained calm.
"I'd like to join the Valkries, Father. I saw a paper on a tree, next to the market. They are recruiting. I can't just stay here forever. You already know that," I reply, slightly shaking.
He says with a worried tone, "Y/N, are you really sure you want to join them? They go through harsh excersises and even worse wars. I just don't want you to possibly die. I care about you greatly, as my own daughter."
I froze, trying not to cry. I barely remember my birth father so with Mr. Baker, it's like he was my own father. He raised me and made me who I am now. He disiplined me when I got into trouble. He taught me how to cook, how to fix, and how to build. He taught me how to let go. I truly love him and I appreciate everything he has done for me. He was really my father.
I reply, "Father, I understand the hardships I would have to endure if I go. I've gone through many a poor time. And I never gave up. I believe in myself. You believe in me. I know that if there are to be more wars that I may die. But I will do that to protect you and for all of Asgard. I promise you that I will become greatness. Just believe in me once again. Please Father."
He looks at me with sadness in his small eyes. He lets out a large sigh. He nods, telling me that I could sign up. I smile largely and walk up to hug him gently.
"Thank you for everything, Father. I don't know what I would do if I never met you."
I feel a tear roll down my left cheek. I pull back to see Father sobbing. I hug him a little tighter.
"I'm so proud on who you have become. A beautiful, strong, young lady," said Father, trying not to stutter from crying.
I smile softly and reply, "It's all because of you."
He lets out another noisy sob, making me hug him one more time. Father takes a deep breath and slightly relaxes in my arms.
"N-now dear. There isn't much time. Go pack your belongings. I'll pack your lunch." I paused as he walks into the kitchen. I'm going into the Valkrie tribe.
----------------------------------------------
I have my two medium sized bags in my arms, my lunch being held by Father as we approach the Valkrie ship.
It was large to say the least. It was painted with blue, black and gold, with hints of dents and rust from what I'm guessing is battles.
I nervously gulped, now walking to the ship instead of flying. There wasn't a long line but there were few women that dared to venture onward to danger. I look behind for Father and he was walking with me, looking at the ship worryingly. I reassure him with a nod and he slightly relaxes.
I arrive at the boarding bridge. The lady was very muscular, scars riddled her arms and face. She had short blond hair, looking like it was burned off at her ends. I nod and smile softly to her, silently greeting her. She looks at me with astonishment.
She asks in a rough yet calming voice, "Miss, pardon my question but are those your wings?"
I look back at them and spread them a little and I nod with a small smile on my face.
She says with a small smirk, "Well I gotta say, you look like an angel without the wings."
She then winks at me and I blush heavily. I let out a small laugh nervously as I look down in embarrassment.
She then asks, "Alright. State your name and age."
I straighten up my posture and reply, "Y/N L/N, 980 years old."
She looks at me with a disappointing and slightly sad look. "Miss, you have to be 1,050 years."
I look at her with a shocked and sad look.
I then plead, "Please ma'am. I must go. Oh please let me go."
She then looks at me with a sigh. "I guess I could let you in but only if you say you're over 1,100."
I smile largely, going up to hug her.
"Thank you, ma'am. Thank you so much," I say to her.
She pats my back and tells me to bid farewell to Father. I set my bags down and turn around to look at him. I bend down a little to hug him.
"I'll miss you dearly, Father," I say, trying not to cry.
He pats my head and says, "Stay strong, my dear. I have faith in you. I know you'll do great things."
He then rubs his small and soft thumb under my cheek, catching a small tear. He smiles softly then gives me my lunch. I smile and began to walk up the board and into the ship. He then shouts my name. I turn around to see him running to the entry of the bridge.
I walk down to him and say, "Yes, Father?"
He digs into his right pocket and pulls something out. He grabs my left hand and set the object in my palm. But I couldn't see it as he folded my hand.
He looks at me and says, "Take care of this, Y/N. Just in case I may not be here."
I slightly shake my head. "Don't say that, Father. Please."
He sets his hand on my right cheek and pats it.
"Hey! We gotta go now!", said the lady on the ship.
I run back up to the entry of the ship and look out one last time to wave goodbye to Father. He waves back and the door closes. I sigh sadly but sit down at one of the seats in the left corner. I look down in sadness at my hand and open it. It was a beautiful silver bracelet that had two small arrows in the corners that were open to set on my wrist. I looked in amazement when I could see writing on the inside.
It read Kind heart, Fierce mind, and Brave spirit.
I smiled softly at the words when I see a shadow to the right of me. I look up and it's a girl.
She looked so beautiful, with her long brown hair and soft brown eyes. Her skin was a milk chocolate color that fit her perfectly. She had soft and puffy pink lips that curved into a breathtaking smile. I stand up and set my hand out for her to shake it.
"H-hi, my name's Y/N," I say, stuttering a little.
She smiles again and shakes my hand.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Brunnhilde."
