this may be hard to answer because we don’t actually know the characters too well yet, but what do you think vox and val actually *love* about eachother? it seems like it’s more than just sex between them, and i’m curious to know what you think their relationship is like outside the toxic or sexual parts
Anon, to me it is not hard to answer at all, I think about it constantly 🩵❤️ of course all I write is based mostly on my headcanons and interpretations.
Tumblr media
So... What Vox loves about Valentino? First and foremost, he makes him feel free. Vox is very self-conscious; he has a lot of internalized shame that he tries to cover with his grandiosity and fake smile. Valentino is unapologetically himself, and no matter how annoying it can be, Vox admires it. He's like the least judgmental person, and except for his temper tantrums, he's quite chill. Vox can't handle something? Val doesn't care; he still thinks his boyfriend is smart and will figure shit out eventually. Vox discovers he's into some weird, socially unacceptable kink? Great, they can try it. Vox rambles for hours about sharks? Good, he has a passion; Valentino likes people with passion, he will listen, he likes his voice anyway. Vox, who has spent his whole life crafting this perfect narrative about himself, cherishes the opportunity to feel comfortable enough with other people (a lot of these things apply also to his friendship with Velvette) to act like an absolute idiot around them.
Tumblr media
Also, I think Valentino can be a really amazing boyfriend - he can be funny, charming, and mindful of the other person. That's his whole thing; he deals with desires, and that's why people get addicted to him so quickly. In most cases, it inevitably ends with him taking absolute control over the other person and becoming abusive. But Vox is his partner, so he gets just those nice bits because Valentino knows he wouldn't be able to put him down like he did with Angel. Not that he'd want to; he likes having a partner who's equal to him, whom he can break only if he allows him to do so (yes, my reading of them is very BDSM-ish, don't @ me). Valentino wants to be loved, he loves the idea of love, surrounds himself with hearts but at the same refuses to adjust to societal norms in the way that makes him unlovable; every person he ever loved (in his mind, his obsessive desire equals love) rejected him eventually after he revealed his true nature to them. But not Vox. Vox accepts him as broken as he is, and despite all his toxicity, Vox is reliable, he's the most stable part of Valentino's life. He has the patience to deal with his mood swings, he can always find the solution when Val messes something up, he's willing to accept all the attention Valentino wants to give him, and he supports his passions (ruining lives, making weird porn and abusing people).
Tumblr media
Essentially, their love is largely about finally finding the other person who is as bad as you are, who accepts you no matter what and helps you grow (become an even worse person).
And some additional things:
Valentino really likes how smart Vox is. He himself is impulsive and acts instantly on his urges because violence is always an answer so he's kinda impressed when Vox presents him with some elaborate plots.
Vox loves Valentino's creativity, aesthetic, and attention to detail. He really likes nice things, but he lacks the ability to understand the nuance that is necessary for creating art.
They both enjoy each other's sense of humor.
Vox really likes that Valentino is kinda dumb? He can take care of him, and he likes taking care of people because it allows him to prove himself as The Best Boyfriend. He doesn't necessarily gets the idea of unconditional love, so the fact that he has an opportunity to earn it makes him feel more secure in their relationship. That's also why he loves spoling Valentino with gifts which is perfect because Valentino loves being spoiled.
Valentino likes being a little silly when he's with Vox. At work he can't manage people with his competence, so he does it with fear. But yelling and throwing people around is exhausting; he sometimes wants to bedazzle his gun while watching some trashy reality TV and bitching about his hard day at work. It's okay because Vox is also a little silly.
Valentino generally helps Vox live life more. He helped him come out of the closet (in my headcanon Vox for his whole life struggled with internalized biphobia); shows him that emotions other than anger are acceptable and don't mean weakness; even small things like always insisting on getting nice meals (while Vox could live his whole life on black coffee and rice) or decorating their apartment with fancy yet useless stuff.
They're both power-crazy maniacs, so the idea of being with someone who is widely desired by others and could destroy them if they wished is just so incredibly hot.

You Have Been Lied to about the True Meaning of the Bible Whether we choose to believe in it, the information that awakens humanity from our millennial slumber will nonetheless manifest in reality. Many people have already noticed a change in their belief system. It doesn’t take much insight to understand that humanity has been deceived through the Western teachings of Christianity. Specifically all Christian churches that have adopted the Bible as compiled by the Roman Empire and still exist in the majority of Western Christianity. The difference between the truth involved is the difference between “faith”in God and “knowing” God through personal experience.   It’s easy to reject this concept of having a personal relationship with Almighty God, as we Christians have been deceived and intentionally misled by these Christian dogmas, the rhetoric of the church that has demanded its patrons believe what they’re told to believe. Such beliefs which have been formulated by Church Theology and little else. That is, instead of allowing each person to discover their own truths about God we have been taught that “faith alone” is all we need. It’s natural to think if this “knowing” were true; if it is possible, then: why haven’t we heard about it before? This question can be fully answered by looking at the History of the Roman Catholic Church which compiled the Scriptures that we have in the Holy Bible. For 600 years the Roman Catholic Church embraced their devoted practice of murdering every enlightened soul that actually were able to reach this “knowing” of their own Divine Nature and their ability to receive insights and healing from God and God’s Angels. Some of these groups of dedicated souls were known as the Gnostics —which gnosticism is defined as “knowing.” Also the Chaldeans and the Knights Templars followed the gnostic path and all were relentlessly pursued and put to death by the Catholic Church. We may dismiss all of this as irrelevant and “ancient history” but such a supposition is fatally flawed. The Vatican’s so-called Holy Inquisition lasted for approximately 600 years, only ending in the early decades of the 1800s. Not so ancient in my opinion. These facts are all recorded and easily found as public records in libraries and even the internet. Fear and doubt have always been the staunch beliefs holding humanity in chains, unable to see accurately and truly. In my opinion, this is why we can find so much fear based beliefs within the theological dogma of the Catholic Church. The Good News is even all the powers in Creation cannot stop the unconditional love of God from reaching the souls that have awakened. Jesus gave us the true teachings to enlighten us and allow us to commune with our angels, the universe and Almighty God. These are seen in the life of Christ, as: unconditional love for all souls, even our enemies, non-judgement of others, and helping others. These most critical teachings were deliberately hidden by the Roman Catholic Church and were adopted by other Christian denominations through no fault of their own, but through deception and ignorance. Those of us who are able to embrace these ancient truths are being called upon to seek this knowing and enlightenment and share the indelible Truth of the limitless Divine Love of our Creator. Understanding that the deceptions of sin, judgement and punishment are man made concepts created to manipulate and control people. That Almighty God is unadulterated unconditional love and never judges us or punishes us. That as God’s Children it has come the time to help others understand and embrace God’s light of unconditional love. This is now more important than it has ever been as we have now entered into a light that will awaken mankind. Every soul will be called upon to embrace the light or choose to remain on their own path of spiritual evolution. Of course, countless truths remain in the Holy Bible, and what is happening in the world for the following six years will be what Christians know as the separating of the Wheat from the Chaff. Remembering, however, that there is no punishment and no such place as the fictional eternal hell, but only God’s Love. Thus there are no “wrong choices” , only spiritual evolution through experience and learning. The blessings and the Abundance of Heaven go out to all of Humanity in every country and all peoples.  With my plea to remember to seek and you will find, to knock and the door shall be opened. We all will make it back home through God’s boundless love and wisdom. Joy is a soul’s natural state.

Literally can't stop thinking about "You have indeed felt a great loss. But love is a form of energy, and it swirls all around us. The Air Nomads' love for you has not left this world. It is still inside of your heart, and is reborn in the form of new love" and how much the concept of this quote pretty much applies to the main characters within atla, especially in regards to their development and central arcs throughout the series and how it plays a big role in their journey, either on a large scale or a more subtle one.
Aang's is the most obvious and is the original context of this quote. His love for the Air Nomads and their love for him is reborn in his love for Katara and vice versa. These two develop an instinctual bond as soon as they meet and get along very well, providing each other with support in overcoming the trauma, a listening ear when things are rough or standing up for the other when they encounter obstacles, especially ones related to their bending. They supply each other with the home and understanding that has been lost as a result of the war. Aang's love for Sokka can be interpreted in the same way, who forms one of the first bases for Aang's second family after the loss of his entire culture. It's not just that though, there's also the gradual trust in each other's leadership skills, reaching its zenith in their preparations for the invasion of the Fire Nation capital.
Katara's reborn love is likewise Aang's as well, and I think the best way to demonstrate this example is paralleling Aang's actions in the second episode of book one when Zuko and his crew attacked the South Pole and Kya's in the flashbacks of the Southern Raiders. Both are people who meant a lot for Katara and who at that point helped in shaping her view of the world, since Kya raised her and Aang even in the short span they interacted reminded her of the joy of enjoying her adolescence and having fun. Both did not hesitate to offer themselves up for the Fire Nation when it became clear that Katara and the village was in danger and both made a conscious effort to reassure Katara during those sequence of events. Of course, Aang and Kya didn't have the same outcome but that's not the point.
Zuko's is Ursa's and Iroh's. It's not a reborn love in the literal sense but for all intents and purposes, the result is largely similar. While we know from flashbacks that Zuko was very close to his uncle even prior to Iroh losing his son and events leading up to Zuko's banishment, the fact of the matter is that Ursa is shown to be his primary caregiver, the person who works to do whatever they can to shield him from Ozai's abuse and someone who inspires a lot of his conceptions about his self image, particularly his persistence in the face of adversity and failure. Once Ursa is no longer in a position to continue doing so, that role is then taken up by Iroh who continuously makes every effort he can to support Zuko through the worst period of his life, providing the love and care he needs in order to heal, standing against the harm Azula and Ozai attempt to inflict against him (often literally) as well as teaching him the tools he needs in order to continue building his separate identity outside of the toxic ideals of his family. Whether that is in relation to Zuko's bending and the way he's been branded as the less talented and therefore a disappointment or in relation to the imperialist mindset of their country and the royal family by passing on the ideals that Iroh himself learned through his journey of self-reflection.
Sokka actually has two forms of reborn loves, which I realised upon some extensive thinking. The first is by far the more obvious, which is Yue and Suki. Yes, Sokka met Suki first but the order of events lend my argument some weight. It's not just that both are his primary love interests (which they are) but they are ones who influenced Sokka's relationship to his role as a protector and to another extent they were people who he could enjoy himself around on more equal terms since he more often than not is the 'plan guy' within the gaang. Yue's death and his inability to do anything that prevents it enhances his overprotective tendencies and it's no coincidence that he faces this particular issue with Suki on the serpent's pass by his own admission. He's later able to overcome it and start a relationship with Suki without the shadow of that incident hanging down on them (pardon the pun). The other one, which is more subtler and might puzzle some, is Hakoda and Piandao. Hakoda as Sokka's father is his role model, the ideal of the warrior that he strives to live up to and who reassures him of his worth and his pride in him. This guidance is also, to a degree, the part that Piandao plays as his mentor; he helps Sokka gain the confidence needed in himself and imparts lessons that tie in to skills as a warrior. In each of the episodes "Sokka's Master" and "The Guru", Sokka experiences low faith in his abilities and is reassured by Piandao and Hakoda respectively (although Piandao's was much more... confrontational). In the end, the purpose is served. Hakoda cannot be present with the amount that Sokka needs but the love he has for him is found in a new shape in Piandao's mentorship.
Toph experiences her first unconditional love during her childhood with the badger-moles, they are the creatures who accept her and her blindness and they're the ones with whom she gains faith in her earthbending. That love is carried over when she meets Team Avatar, Aang challenges the double identity she built in her life that is in conflict of the image her parents have of her, "the obedient little helpless blind girl", and she decides later to leave her home behind and take a leap of faith so to speak. This decision leads her to be able to build healthy relationships where she's comfortable and secure. Katara teaches her that expressions of femininity and her tough persona don't have to be at odds with each other, and that she can enjoy being pampered and still at the end of the day resume acting herself. And we have many instances where Sokka leads Toph around in places where she needs someone to help her to and Toph is comfortable doing so. It's a development from the Toph we first meet, who rejects aid because she needs to establish her own personhood. She grows to be okay with relying on others in a way that doesn't lessen her own independence.
Suki admittedly gave me a bit of a brain scratcher until I drew upon her biggest relationships, the Kyoshi Warriors and Sokka. Suki is the leader of the group, she's someone who believes in herself and knows her capabilities very well and it's not hard to understand that it's because of her position as Kyoshi Warrior. But more importantly, her fellow comrades offer her a support net. She can rely on them to have her back, just as they did during the attack on Kyoshi Island and in the Earth Kingdom. And after the run in with Azula, Mai and Ty Lee and getting separated in imprisonment, she lost that. Her confinement was isolated from any familiar faces and probably very traumatic. Until Sokka finds her in the Boiling Rock, and she regains the lost sense of partnership. From there until the finale, Sokka and Suki are shown to interact romantically, socially and on the battlefield. They joke and have ridiculous fun together while enjoying the Boy in the Iceberg play and they fight together seamlessly on the gondola, during training on Ember Island and in the Airship battle. This is a testament to the incredible trust they built and the camaraderie they share.
Note that when I say reborn, I don't necessarily mean in strict terms of life and death, which can be applied to more than one character anyway, or in the literal sense of reincarnation. I mean it more as a metaphor, it's a love that has been lost or can not present right now, either temporarily or in a more permanent sense. And I think that is one of the most profound messages the show can impart to such a wide audience. That love is a form of energy around us and even though the person who provided us with that specific kind of love isn't or can't be around anymore to give it to us, their love is so strong that it changes and comes back in a new love. It's not gone, not forever, it's just... different.

exploring my natal chart like pt 13 i think. found another really great website for a free chart astro-charts.com
I was born during a waning crescent moon and a lot of planets were in retrograde when i was born.
"A Waning Crescent is a wise, aged moon that has already experienced every phase in the cycle. This causes people born under a Waning Crescent to possess special talents or knowledge. Having this unique perspective can lead to a life of success, imagination, and fulfillment."
SOURCES: https://www.yourmoonphase.com/blogs/your-moon-phase/what-the-moon-phase-on-your-birthday-says-about-you#:~:text=A%20Waning%20Crescent%20is%20a,success%2C%20imagination%2C%20and%20fulfillment.
"Retrograde Mercury: These people absorb thoughts and ideas through repetition and osmosis rather than careful, deliberate study. Constantly editing, reviewing, rethinking, replaying it in their mind. Own best teacher. Questions what others accept as gospel. More capable of dealing with abstractions and impressions than those with Mercury direct.
Retrograde Jupiter: These people are capable of taking advantage of opportunities that others ignore or pass by. They prefer to “take another crack” at things others have tried and failed. Their moral and ethical code, religion, and philosophy are their own. They seek answers from within rather than subscribing to the dogma of the outside world. They seek abundance in new, untried, and unproven areas.
Retrograde Saturn: These people may doubt their worthiness as human beings. May avoid taking responsibility for their mistakes and be fearful of taking chances. There is often subconscious fear of rejection and loss. Their limitations and burdens are self-imposed. This may be the most difficult retrograde.
Retrograde Uranus: Here is a natural-born rebel. Strong reformer instincts — for everybody else. These folks have a strong inner need and desire to persistently test their personal abilities against those of others. They must constantly prove themselves to themselves. In seeking greater freedom for themselves, they may limit the freedom of others.
Retrograde Neptune: These people may be confused inwardly as to whether they are “virtuous” or not. Persistently seek to help others, whether their help is wanted or not. They are more susceptible and more easily taken in by others."

Some other information about my chart:
"Most of the inner planets are located in the top hemisphere
Mars is on the Midheaven
Ascendant and Mc are in 9 aspects
Venus in Libra and Uranus in Aquarius are in the signs of their rulership.
The Square aspect occurs the most, a total of 11 times
Uranus and Neptune are rising
The bottom right quadrant is empty
The Fixed mode is dominant among the inner planets"
SOURCES: astro-charts.com (they give you all that info if it applies to you when you make your chart super cool website)
Based on my chart from cafeastrology.com I have:
6 masculine/4 feminine placements
3 cardinal/4 fixed/3 mutable mode placements
and my breakdown by element is 3 fire/3 earth/3 air/and 1 water sign lmfao which is my scorpio mars + midheaven lmfao.
Going to see if I can find out what that all means too lmfao.
Also found some really cool websites with info on chiron and lillith placements.
"Chiron is the wounded healer and shows our long-term wounds that often come from a past lifetime. Chiron in Libra is the particular wound of relationships.
We tend to overcompensate in Chiron areas by becoming a bit extreme. It’s natural to try and “fix” the wound, but often I find that we chase a solution to fix our Chiron, instead of uncovering the solution inside of us.
Unlike other planets, it’s hard to ignore your Chiron. It will hit you in the face, over and over, and can make your life pretty terrible, especially if you don’t know how to work with it. The Chiron in Libra wound is especially difficult because it’s all about relationships, something we deal with almost every day.
Chiron in Libra means that you feel like there is something missing from your life. Usually, this “something” is your soul mate.
The Chiron in Libra wound might feel like a hole inside you. You may spend time trying to fill it with things from the outside world. You might also feel as though the world is just a bit off-balance at all times.
With Chiron in Libra, you are hurt by loneliness, but you are also hurt by relationships. Whether you’re in a relationship or are alone, the wound is there. Chiron in Libra shows itself no matter how hard you try to hide it.
There can be a lot of anxiety and guilt surrounding the Chiron in Libra wound. These people typically feel inadequate socially as a child, regardless of whether or not this is apparent to others.
This Chiron in Libra wound can show itself in a variety of ways. Often, these people feel alone and incomplete without a relationship, but they never find the fulfillment that they’re looking for in any relationship, either.
The Chiron in Libra wound usually manifests as conflict in interpersonal relationships. It is really difficult for these folks to have relationships without triggering the wound. This can include conflicts in romantic relationships, as well as partnerships and friendships. If you have Chiron in Libra, be wary of self-neglect in relationships.
Most relationships for the Chiron in Libra person will be karmic. It is important for these folks to focus on relationships in order to heal the wound, but this spotlight must have the intention of learning and working on ways to approach relationships that are more authentic.
It’s not abnormal for the Chiron in Libra person to wear a mask in a relationship. It might be really hard for them to show their true self to their partner for fear of losing the relationship.
The terror of being alone makes it hard for a Chiron in Libra person to get out of a relationship, even if it becomes unhealthy. It’s not uncommon for these relationships to have some sort of abuse involved in them, mainly because the Chiron in Libra person is passive and malleable, so they’re really a prime target.
I find that those with Chiron in Libra tend to give far more than they receive. This is most likely due to their fear of being left alone. There are definitely “people-pleaser” tendencies with this placement; these are the classic conflict-avoidant individuals.
Alternatively, the Chiron in Libra individual can be so afraid of being alone that they refuse to engage in relationships at all. I don’t see this outcome as much, but it is certainly a possibility. These people are often able to give others relationship advice that they can’t follow themselves.
Typically, the Chiron in Libra person gets into relationships with those who show a mirror image of the qualities they can’t see in themselves. They might also give to their partners what they aren’t able to give to their inner selves.
A Chiron in Libra individual might live a double life. It’s easy for them to hide who they truly are inside if they feel that they must put on a face in order to stay in a relationship. Sometimes, these people will do this for years, even while living with a partner.
This really is the classic Romeo & Juliet placement. Chiron in Libra is all about sacrificing yourself for the partner. Often, individuals do this because they are desperately trying to heal the wound, but it doesn’t fix it.
I find that most Chiron in Libra placements are developed in a past life. Unlike other wounds, this wound is about karmic relationships, so Chiron in Libra people will usually meet the same souls over and over until the wound is healed.
Sometimes, these Chironic beliefs are cemented by parents or through other early life experience, but the original wound almost always comes from a relationship trauma in a past life.
The first step to healing Chiron in Libra is to recognize that the true soul mate is within. The Chiron in Libra person is constantly looking to fill that “soul mate” void with other people, but they will only feel truly complete by connecting with the inner self.
You will find with this placement that others reflect your own needs back to you. If you see qualities in others that you feel you lack, then it’s time to try and discover those qualities within yourself instead of outsourcing.
You will need to learn how to be authentic in a relationship, without hiding any part of yourself. You probably feel fear that you might be left alone if you do reveal your true self, but this is fear that you have to process and move through. It’s okay to be afraid. The lesson with Chiron in Libra is to do it anyways!
Unconditional love for the self is something that will be helpful for you to develop. You will learn, by doing this work, that separateness and aloneness were simply illusions. I find that energy work can be especially helpful, as well as meditation and inner work."

(Lillith in Virgo) "Rebellion against order; provocative humour.
Their sensuality is strongly suppressed by trying to appear calm; emotional conflicts often occur because it is very difficult for these people to feel relaxed. They want to suppress their instincts or they appear to be cold and perverted.
Beware of alcoholism and surgery of the intestines."

Planets in Numerology
Numerology — the science of the influence of numbers on human life. Historically, numerology is closely related to astrology. The progenitor of these teachings is astronomy — the science of celestial bodies and their movement. The ancient Greeks followed the movement of celestial bodies and described it mathematically. They were the first to notice that the position of celestial bodies influences events occurring on Earth. Astrology will help to find out how the location of the heavenly bodies at the time of your birth affected your life. Numerology, on the other hand, will tell you which planet influences your individual “Date Number of Birth”.
One of the postulates of classical numerology says: each planet has a number from 1 to 9. Unlike astrology, numerology uses only 9 planets, not 10. This is due to the fact that only one-digit numbers from 1 to 9 are interpreted in numerology. All others decrypted taking into account the value of their constituent digits. Each planet has its own peculiarities of influence. Therefore, in numerology, influence numbers are calculated, and interpretation is carried out with the help of the planets, these numbers corresponding. To learn more about yourself, we suggest you calculate the number of your planet.

Planets Number Meaning
Number 1 – Sun ☉: The source of all numbers is the beginning of all life. The composition of any number includes the number 1, but the number itself is indivisible, it is based on the unity of the universe. The people of the Sun are leaders by nature, incredibly strong personalities who never go unnoticed in the shadows. These are enthusiastic, impulsive, businesslike people. If you are under the influence of this number, then do not lock yourself in your own feelings, do not limit yourself only to your own perception, otherwise you will come into conflict with the outside world. You always achieve outstanding success. Generosity, pride, desire to create something new, physical and spiritual strength, authority, desire for power, initiative, a sense of responsibility, unconditional justice, practicality are inherent in you. You have a harmonious relationship with people from the first, second, fourth, seventh groups.
Number 2 – Moon ☽: People of the Moon are different emotionality, openness. They easily adapt to their surroundings and circumstances, often artistically gifted. They achieve their goals by skirting obstacles and intuitively using favorable opportunities. They have mood swings, unconsciously they are looking for a stronger person who would reliably support them. They are very housewives, family-oriented, loyal, sensitive, never take risks. They can change the rhythm of life. They are introverts; therefore, although they are friendly, they are often closed in their complex inner world with a rich imagination. These people are characterized by the following character traits: a sense of responsibility, a desire for independence, in carrying out their plans they always act diplomatically and carefully, do not allow others to force them to do things that they don’t like. They have a good relationship with the first and seventh type.
Number 3 – Jupiter ♃: The people of Jupiter are mostly optimists, they are positively disposed towards others and towards themselves; possess, as a rule, deep knowledge of their nature; bestow others with love and await respect in return. These are humane, internally independent people with a non-standard way of life, they strive to find as many friends as possible, show an interest in the spiritual life, love and admire nature. Although the people of Uranus are independent, they are not closed and not alone, focused on the company: even after the dissolution of the marriage, they continue to maintain friendly relations with their former partner. People of this type are mobile, very conscientious in their work, nervous, they have an excellent memory and good organizational skills. Good convergence with people of the first, second and seventh types.
Number 5 – Mercury ☿: People of this type have a highly lively and quirky mind. They take the initiative in everything, in any case they quickly find a rational grain, they often seek to try their strength in rare professions. A stupid routine is alien to them. Everything boils in their hands, they are swift in everything, they quickly think, draw conclusions, work. The ability to express thoughts has a special meaning for them. They are overwhelmed with thirst for knowledge, critical, resourceful, but quickly become discouraged from failures. This is an ambivalent personality. These people are loved and popular, not very economic, insatiable curious to all manifestations of life, charming, never lose their individuality. They find a common language with their own kind, but in essence they get along well with all other types of people.
Number 6 – Venus ♀: People of this type radiate sensuality, they are all without exception loved. Their charm helps them to bypass all the pitfalls in life. Since they get everything easily, they must be especially careful in handling money, otherwise they risk losing big. But they always have enough money. Often they are married to a wealthy partner. They love everything beautiful, have a cheerful disposition. Often these are very attractive people. Sometimes they are arrogant, give too much attention to appearance. They keep up with the times, they are enterprising, sociable, have the abilities of arts. With success, they are working in those areas where they have to communicate a lot with people, have a sense of justice. If they are faced with a goal, they are hardworking, but mostly prefer to give their whole soul to the joys of life. Especially well combined with the third, sixth, ninth types, but in fact very sociable and peaceful.
Tumblr media
Number 7 – Neptune ♆: Since this planet is interconnected with the Moon, then the people of Neptune harmonize well with people of the second type. Usually they are philosophically minded or religiously, they are distinguished by a compliant character. Often they have a precarious financial situation, because money melts in their hands like snow. They have great thoughts, but they rarely bring it to the end. They are prone to gambling. These are subtle, highly sensitive natures, merciful and sensitive to the mood of others. They hardly make decisions, usually physically weak with fragile addition, do not accept quarrels and conflicts. Most often they are employed in social services, often musical, with all their heart they sympathize with all those who suffer.
Number 8 – Saturn ♄: The people of Saturn are receptive, often do not find understanding among others and suffer from loneliness. Their outward coldness and alienation hide the thirst for spiritual warmth, but they do not know how to show it. They do not like anything superficial, they like order and material security. Everything comes to them with difficulty, they achieve everything on their own. Their way of life is distinguished by constancy and often, especially closer to old age, material wealth. For people of this type are characterized by stubbornness, a sober look at things. They honor rules and laws. They are pragmatists, prudent, cautious, punctual and methodical in everything, very hardworking and persistent in achieving their goals and ideas. They rarely find themselves in a subordinate position. In life, people of this type are more focused on material well-being, they must be sure of their future, they are inclined, however, to melancholy. They keep absolute loyalty, you can always rely on them. Best of all, they find common ground with people of the second type and sympathize with people of the seventh type.
Number 9 – Mars ♂: The people of Mars are ready to conquer all on their own. They do not accept objections, but only more resist them. They have the courage and strong will and, thanks to these qualities, achieve great success. But impulsivity has a negative effect on their activities. They often do not weigh their strengths and do not distribute them rationally. In love and partnership, they often have problems — it affects their excessive pride. Possessing good organizational skills, they categorically do not tolerate a subordinate position. If they purposefully used their strengths and abilities, they could have achieved tremendous success. So, they are distinguished by initiative and enterprise, energy and self-reliance only in their abilities. These leaders by nature rely on themselves, do not allow themselves to be surpassed, sometimes they are a bit merciless and arrogant, they have great willpower. Find mutual understanding with people of the third, sixth and ninth types.

Yoshino's sun sign is PISCES, her moon sign is ACQUARIUS and her rising is SAGITTARIUS. Under the read more a break down.
SUN SIGN: PISCES
Those with the Sun in Pisces are often highly imaginative, sensitive and impressionable people. They sometimes struggle with the fundamental duality in their nature. It could be said that one half of them is attempting to chart a realistic course through life whilst the other half is seeking ways to escape it.
Their empathy and compassion means they sense where others are coming from, and so can relate on a certain level. This awareness gives Pisceans the ability to deal with any situation, and they do well in any area which involves understanding others. They may not like what they see, but their ability to respond to what is in front of them means they can appear to be both experienced and open.
Pisces is known as the sign of least resistance and sometimes Pisces will seek the easy way out. They become victim to some kind of habit or circumstance that ends up ‘validating’ their belief that they need to be rescued.
Should they believe is that life is hard, cruel or dangerous, then the only apparent route open to them is escape, either into some kind of addictive habit (drugs, alcohol, romance), or into victimhood. (Violence, for Yoshino.)
When they become depleted by exposure to others or simply to negative influences they can become become overwhelmed by emotions which blocks the ability to maintain a clear sense of self.
It is highly therapeutic for Pisceans to spend time in creative pursuits, either through their own creative projects or simply immersing themselves in some one else creative work. Through imagination they find ways to leave the everyday and stay self-contained.
Another level of expression can come about through finding ways to be of service. Pisceans are often gifted with compassion and have a strong urge to be of service to others somehow. Here they bring special gifts.
Because they so easily empathise, they know instinctively what others need to hear. Because they can at some level comprehend all facets of human experience, they do not tend to judge. Instead they can offer unconditional service based on pure acceptance.
As ever though, they need to be on guard against tendencies to give the self away. Many Pisceans seem to have an inner conviction that in order to be of service, they must also suffer in some way. This is part of a potent cultural belief structure which suggests it is in fact noble to suffer in the act of service.
The willingness to sacrifice is a highly commendable virtue, but the idea that they need to be suffering if they are to be of true service is slightly displaced. Pisceans can be more effective, and inspiring to others, if they simultaneously demonstrate self-care.
The willingness to sacrifice is a highly commendable virtue, but the idea that they need to be suffering if they are to be of true service is slightly displaced. Pisceans can be more effective, and inspiring to others, if they simultaneously demonstrate self-care.
MOON SIGN: ACQUARIUS.
With the Moon here, you may also tend to operate as an outsider or lone wolf, preferring to maintain a detached view that is only possible from the outskirts. The Moon here often generates an instinctive sense of somehow “being different” or “on the outside”, and this can then amplify any tendency to withdraw from emotional experiences.
Often, this born with the Moon here feel very different from the environment in which they grow up. the outsider experience is felt at a very early age. Accordingly, you may be so aware of your unique qualities that you tend to instinctively keep yourself separate from others, unconsciously believing that you are likely to be rejected by them, so best to get in and reject their support and nurturing first.
On the deepest unconscious level, it is your own fear of closeness and/or rejection that keeps these behaviours in place, and may keep you from true intimacy with other people.
Moon in Aquarius can also suggest a degree of eccentricity, and you may be highly original in some way. If you have creative interests then this placement can give a very unorthodox way of seeing the world. Aquarius is also a sign associated with radical change, and you may find that you have a need to rebel or break away from situations you perceive as being stagnant.
At its best, Aquarius is an egalitarian and freedom-loving sign. Born with the Moon here, you are likely to have an innate need to establish space and equality in your own and others lives. Your sense of objectivity is your best asset, and your ability to connect with others is based mostly on your capacity to simply see others for who they are.
RISING SIGN: SAGITTARIUS.
Self-awareness comes about through expanding your horizons – at either physical, mental or spiritual levels. You are likely to approach new experiences with a sense of optimism and hope – an expectation of success.
When your Ascendant is Sagittarius, every situation can be viewed as an opportunity to learn. You are likely to feel a sense of restlessness and need to have the freedom to roam, explore horizons and see how far you can go. This might happen at physical, mental or spiritual levels.
At times, your life could feel like a pilgrimage, where the need to find the holy grail of your own “truth” is paramount. A way to express this approach might be – “I see the goal; I reach the goal, and then I see another”.
Gifted with energy and inspiration, you are often able to inspire and uplift others. You are typically broad-minded and so happy to let everyone live their own lives. Charged with faith and optimism, you can look for symbolic meaning wherever you go, finding portents in life’s circumstances and omens to guide you on your way. Usually, every event is seen as part of a larger, connected whole. You find meaning in patterns and serendipity at every turn.
Yet there may also be times where you allow your faith to dwindle. If you fail to find the answers you seek you can become despondent and cynical in the extreme. You must be careful not to set yourself up for crushing disappointment by setting expectations that are unrealistic or too big to achieve.
You are likely to be passionate about the pursuit of knowledge, and so it is important to allow yourself plenty of opportunity to explore new horizons, and broaden your sphere of reference.

“During bad circumstances, which is the human inheritance, you must decide not to be reduced. You have your humanity, and you must not allow anything to reduce that. We are obliged to know we are global citizens. Disasters remind us we are world citizens, whether we like it or not.” —Maya Angelou now did you find a hope ? Do you know the definition of hope? What is hope for you? And what does mean to you?
meaning of expectation can contrast contingent upon the individual doing the talking. At the point when individuals talk about expectation in an otherworldly setting, it may mean accepting beneficial things will occur with confidence in a higher force. They may coordinate their expectations outward in petition. For other people, it may mean continually looking on the brilliant side and considering difficulties to be openings. At the end of the day, continually "seeking after the best. According to " Merriam-Webster's definition makes "trust" appear near "wish": "to value a craving with expectation: to need something to occur or be valid." Whatever the subtleties, trust when all is said in done methods a longing for things to improve, and to need that better circumstance without question.
And why is it important to have hope as individual? Because hope is the only way for us people to unite as one , we need hope for humanity, and it's essential because To have hope for humanity is to need an result that creates your life way better in a few way. It not as it were can offer assistance make a intense show circumstance more tolerable but moreover can inevitably
improve our lives since envisioning an improved future propels you to require the steps to form it happen. Whether we think approximately it or not, trust may be a portion of everyone’s life. Everybody trusts for something. It’s an inborn portion of being a human being. Trust makes a difference us characterize what we need in our prospects and is portion of the self-narrative around our lives we all have running interior our minds.
If there's a hope, there should be humanity, a humankind that simply define as quality of being a human, Humankind can be characterized as nature of being human; the impossible to miss nature of man, by which he is recognized from different creatures. Being human doesn't imply that an individual has humankind. In the event that you need to comprehend the nature of humankind in an individual observe what he accomplishes for individuals who give noticing back consequently to the kindness they have advertised.
what is humanity by the way, Humanity means, whenever and wherever possible, caring for and helping others. Humanity means helping people when they need the most support, and humanity means ignoring our selfish interests when others need our support. Humanity implies that unconditional love is extended to any living person on earth.
Humanity is an individual attribute which is provided to one by nature and by which one is differentiated from other beings. Being human does not mean that humanity is possessed by a person. In a person, the standard of humanity takes note of what he does for people who give back notes in return for the favor they gave. Mother Teresa brilliantly depicted extra-ordinary compassion in a human being as she created a magnificent example of humanity around the globe and particularly in india, humanity for them means caring for and helping others whenever wherever possible.
Humanity means helping anyone when they need the most encouragement, and humanity means eliminating your selfish interests when others need your care. Humanity means extending to any and every human being on Earth love and devotion.
The tale of a king will show a perfect instance of humanity. A king with a kind heart once saw a battle pigeon and an eagle. He had the ability to interact with birds and beasts. The pigeon requested that the king rescue him from the eagle. The king told the eagle that, in consideration for saving the pigeon, he would have been prepared to pay any price. The eagle asks the king to give him flesh equal to the weight of the pigeon's flesh.
Agreeing with both the condition of the Eagle, The king begins to chop his own flesh, equal to the pigeon's flesh. He still finds the pigeon heavier, after donating a little bit of his flesh. He finally surrenders all of himself to the Eagle besides his meal. That is the moment when both the Eagle and the pigeon transformed into angels who appeared on the planet to measure the degree of the king's humanity. Now, for his deed of humanity, the king is remunerated with the most invaluable rewards and heaven after life.
And indeed , One of the most extraordinary instances of extra-standard humankind in an individual has been depicted flawlessly by Mother Teresa. Mankind implies thinking about and helping other people at whatever point and at every possible opportunity. Mankind implies helping other people now and again when they need that help the most, humankind implies overlooking your narrow minded interests on occasion when others need your assistance.
Individuals who consistently bunk that they don't have adequate offices accessible in spite of having everything can never offer compassionate types of assistance since, supposing that one has the mentality of not acting naturally adequate, in what capacity can the person in question help another person. One is constantly associated with their great deeds and it is fundamental to comprehend that there is no preferred deed over offering types of assistance for philanthropic causes.
Just individuals can comprehend the significance of mankind and it is humankind because of knowledge which really gives the center substance to human presence. You won't need a heavy ledger to contribute towards philanthropic exercises. You don't need to hefty bank account to contribute towards humanitarian activities. Paying your domestic help fairly is also humanity. Loving your neighborhood are also humanity, caring your family and friends can define as humanity, Helping one another are showing the essence humanity. Everyone of us know's what is humanity, the only thing is some people don't absorb the quintessence of humanity,
George Orwell 1944 1950 says that the
Even you are a normal individual who living with normal life, you can show humanity to the society you where belong, because humanity doesn't define your Richness, position, color, religion, and culture, because everyone of us in this world can show the essence of humanity, and thats the lacking part of us being a human today, at some point we forgot to be human, we forgot the essence of this world.
And that's why some people don't know how to act human sometimes, they can't see the hope, the hope of humanity, they are hopeless At times they feel hopless in view of something that transpires they commit an error, need to manage a major dissatisfaction, lose a person or thing we care about, or need to manage circumstances that are truly upsetting or overpowering. Different occasions, they feel miserable and don't have a clue why. It could be discouragement, absence of rest, physical ailment or some other factor that is influencing the manner in which they feel.
It affects more than one person when hope is damaged. It is impossible to replace them when true hope is rejected. It can be difficult to find inspiration again when a person has lost hope. All these claims hold true. How we shape each other's hopes is the most significant effect we have on each other. Hope breeds hope. We connect with our world more when hope remains. We commit more of ourselves, like anyone else around us, to what we do. Our innovation and our problem-solving require hope.
My point of this article in generality is that when a person has a hope she or he can capable act what is humanity , on the ground that hope and humanity are connected, because of hope people can show love humankind, love, respect, now how to care and socialize to other human, helping other people, hope is the one of the best element of an individual. Now in the view of something "Hope for Humanity " in if we deeper down the intimation hope for humanity are actually big discussions if we broader, because the insight of this article is to define and implicate the the essence of hope and humanity.
In this infinite, everlasting and ever-changing universe, the essence of humanity is to work for the independence of the will based on true awareness of the world and of itself, a subjectivity and conceptual unity of the opposites of the objectivity of blind nature and as part of nature itself. This essence is an acquired capacity that encourages man to change the conditions of his physical , mental and social human experience effective manner on the basic principle with
productive knowledge and understanding as well as of himself. In such a way as to gradually diminish but never fully eliminate the inconsistency among both subjective human persons and objective nature, between humanity and the environment.
This seems to be inherently a bad thing a complex of "being" and "knowing" historical processes; mediated by dialectical chance and necessity and taking place in a celestial body something which temporarily harbors life where life's subjectivity can evolve through discrete evolutionary leaps from blind non-living matter to the highest developed power demand. Namely the thinking of brain of man.
Now, how can we show humanity to people? Did we do already show? The first thing we can do is to Help encourage your humanity to shine ,Being human involves understanding that human beings are, well, "human," and flawed or fallible at times. It's also about trying to understand wrongdoing, and being immune to criticism, even if it's not what you want to hear or do. Despite the intense desire to explain away or defend, if their associates start by speaking directly, without judgment, organizations could really produce often more linked and long-time citizens,
Equally important, society is about expressing viewpoints, views and discoveries freely. It means not being afraid to understand and accept weakness and disappointment, and it's about accepting mistakes and recognizing wrongdoings. It's not the types of mistakes you make; it's about how you manage those mistakes as an ordinary person, and the organization as a whole. Next is be Genuine empathy model From a practical point of view, this implies first considering the perspective of the customer-"what "they express and" why "it is important to them . regardless of his concern and how vehemently he expresses it. And, no matter how often or what he buys. It's all about listening to each and every customer, understanding his emotions, and communicating good intentions.
To express true empathy, it is important to remember that everyone always you come into contact with is a doorman. You can asko Show Gratitude because Gratitude is a powerful way to show people that they will be valued by you, and it's often ignored.
Hope for humanity can Express empathy and humility All people, no matter how much they invest or how long they've known you, want to be treated with respect. In each and every interaction, they expect respect . from the very first to the last. Truly loving your people implies displaying compassion, understanding and humility. In order to compare to others, humility is about being self-aware and non-judging. And that's what we need to cultivate as individuals, for i concluded my perception i truly believe what NicteDeana.com that "Let's not lose hope in humanity, instead live help others ".

Venus Retrograde in Gemini
Venus Retrograde in Gemini- Re-connection with What You Value, A Blast from the Past Returns, Do You Speak with Love and Understanding to Yourself?
On May 13th, Venus, the planet of: love, affection, pleasure, money and beauty, turns retrograde at 21 degrees of Gemini. Retrograde planets appear to being going backwards from our perspective on Earth and herald a time of: reflection, revision, and past remembrance. Gemini, the 3rd zodiac sign, is all about: communication, play, learning, malleability and lightness.
Venus retrograde in the sign of Gemini will create many reflections and revisions around how we understand and appreciate love and things of value. During this Venus retrograde phase in the sign of the twins, we will need to be quite vocal about our relationships and how we communicate our values and desires to ourselves and others.  Being that Gemini is an air sign and quite flirty and playful, a lot of these reflections and contemplation's could be rather light and not too deep. Also, considering that Gemini is a mutable sign, which tends to be very malleable and flexible, we could feel rather scattered and "all over the shop" about our feelings and intentions. On Monday we could suddenly want to rekindle a relationship from the past and by that Friday we could have a new fling ignite our interest. Again, as mentioned, all over the shop, lol. Past lovers and business relationships could re-appear all of a sudden. With any retrograde period, especially among the inner planets( Mercury, Venus and Mars) there tends to be past: people, places and things resurface, grasping for our attention. I look at this as a test to see how far we have come and to see if we have learned the karmic lessons of these folks and events.
Venus retrogrades every 19 months, less than any other inner planet. She is therefore felt more intensely. If you look out in the evening sky right now, you can see beautiful Venus. Evening star Venus is feminine in nature and very gentle and loving. Over the next 40 days and 40 nights, she will transition in her retrograde phase over to a morning star. Morning star Venus is masculine in nature and very forthright and aggressive. If you were born with your natal Venus sign following your Sun sign than you are a natal Evening star Venus. If you were born with your natal Venus sign before your Sun sign, then you are a natal Morning star Venus. An example from my own chart is I was born with my Venus at 29 degrees of Aquarius and my Sun sign at 7 degrees of Aquarius. You can see my Venus sign by degree falls AFTER my Sun sign degree, which means I am a natal Evening star Venus. I've noticed whether you are a natal Evening star Venus vs. a natal Morning star Venus, the individual taking on more feminine or masculine traits, when expressing their love and affection.
Venus retrograde in Gemini is here to have you reflect and revise how you look at: love, money and what you value in life. There is an opportunity to communicate your authentic truth and learn something about what and who truly matters to you in your life.
Over the next 40 days and 40 nights, the love god in backwards motion, wants you to get clear about what is working in your life and what is holding you back to your true north star. Venus retrograde in the sign of the twins is here to: help you re-evaluate what or who holds value in your life, spark a lesson of growth and awareness about your relationships and teach you the value and commitment of inner self love and acceptance. Venus will turn retrograde at 21 degrees of Gemini on May 13th and then turn direct at 5 degrees of Gemini on June 25th. Wherever Gemini is in your natal chart( along with any planets in Gemini) is where you will be re-evaluating and revising your values and relationships.
© Astromomma, 2020

It is a good time to resolve past memories of pain as well as forgive those who have hurt you.VENUS  is the significator of so much more than just love, relationships and finances.  Venus also signify our female health, reproductive organs, fertility and hormonal balance therefore she is closely connected to the Svadishtana chakra - Sacral chakra. So during Rx time and release practice for Venus we can focus on healing those areas of our body.WHAT IS TRUE LOVE? Understanding Venus. Support of Jupiter is needed for lasting love beyond physical attraction.Overall ''health'' of Venus in our chart is the God's promise we have in the matters of love. Our personal luck in relationships.Venus is the planet of procreation and procreation is the main reason Venus brings two people together. Thus Venus creates the needed physical attraction between two people. Venus ''releases'' chemicals in your brain to make you fall in love. This strong attraction, the falling in love feeling lasts about a year before it starts fading away, your reason and logic comes to forefront and issues begin. Or it grows into something more lasting and develops on a higher level and rises to an unconditional love. This is the domain of Akash/Ether element ruled by planet Jupiter. Thus Jupiter is the binding element in one's chart to make the relationship lasting. Jupiter allows us to love beyond physical intimacy. Therefore during the retrograde of Venus and Jupiter you can work on both , understanding attraction vs higher love and lasting bond. And now will be the perfect time as both retrograde planets will be connected in transit in a positive way allowing us to make positive changes and valuable insights.Strong Venus makes us magnetically attractive and gives us ability to attract the partner in our life easily. During this Rx we can address the issues around what kind of partner do we attract in our life? Have we had any specific similarities in the partners we attract, any repeated patterns in our love matters? Are you really happy in that relationship? What can you do to change things in your relationship for the better? Is it best to leave that unhealthy relationship?Inner Child work VENUS Rx + waning MOONBreaking Love obsessionsI will just briefly mention about this.Venus and Moon are both water element planets, therefore they signify our emotions and connect to Sacral Chakra. Moon (among many other things) deals with our past, our very first memories of being loved, nourished and comforted . Moon is our inner world and our inner heart, the most delicate part of our being. It is the lens through which all our reactions are formed, and the way our instinctual Mind works. Venus helps us feel valued and loved. Thus both these planets together can help us heal our inner child within and address past memories of pain, abandonment, emotional hunger due to lack of nourishment and care in childhood. We can revise and change our beliefs around relationships and choose to reject unhealthy and obsessive attachments. Obsessive love is not real love, it is love stemming from the root chakra and often is depicted in my Tarot readings by the Devil card. It means being tied to something unhealthy and something that is karmic in nature yet is not the one that will bring you inner fulfillment. It is based on fear and unresolved childhood traumas. I will post on this separately. What unhealthy love situations are you wanting to release?Have you noticed repeated patterns in your relationship area of life? How was the relationship between your parents? What was your first memory and experience in love? What are your desires?Share what happened to you last Venus Rx 3 years ago March - April'2017 and Autumn time October - November 2018...

Selling Your Story – Peaks and Pitfalls of Publishing Contracts
Points to consider when deciding if a Publisher is the right fit for you.
Landing a publishing contract is the Holy Grail for many creators who set their sights on “breaking in” to comics, and it’s understandable as to why this is the case…
It’s a big ego bump for starters. Someone external, has recognised your work as good enough to be associated with, promote and sell. In terms of logistics, publishers have established distribution and promotional tools at their disposal and should have a bigger voice than you alone to share your creation with their customer base. As an independent creator, associating yourself with something bigger can also boost your profile – Like a more positive version of joining a gang in prison (I’d imagine).
The subject of publisher relations with creators, differential deals and the fairness of agreements became the subject of debate across comics twitter recently. Voices of creators and collaborators I have a great deal of respect for came out to talk about their views on several publishers with messages of both condemnation and support. Wider spread trends led to a number of freelance workers actively sharing what they had been paid for projects. While there’s no need to pick through a debate which is easily searched, I’ve been thinking a great deal on the subject of publisher contracts.  Specifically, how an independent creator can review and consider what publishers are offering more critically in the hope they secure favourable terms, or at very least don’t feel regrets down the line as items not considered at the time of signing come home to roost.
I’ve sat to write this piece in the hope it sparks more discussion and helps those working in the small press scene, which I love, ask the right questions and considering offerings from publishers who show interest in their work.  Hopefully I’ve made it accessible and not hideously dull.
Before we take a step further, let’s cover a few notes and caveats here:
Who is this guy? – I’m Andy Conduit-Turner a writer and extremely small name, in all but letter count, in UK indie comic publishing. The chances are, that if we’ve not met, you’ve not heard of me.
My comics contracting experience is primarily limited to drafting my own commissioning contracts to engage with collaborators for comics I have written, and in licencing short stories which I’ve written to appear in anthologies and other mediums produced by others. At the time of writing, I have neither signed with, or been rejected by any major (or minor) comics publisher and am not providing comment on any observed content which may or may not appear in a publishing agreement from any given company.
I am, neither a qualified legal professional or literary agent. In the event any contract you ever receive for any purpose is of extreme importance, investing in the support of a qualified person with greater industry experience is of far greater value than anything you’ll read here.
Outside of comics, my professional career and other personal projects over the last decade have seen me review, interpret, question, edit and respond to countless legal agreements for a variety of purposes. This has left me with a wealth of experience in considering longer term impacts for both the purchasing and suppling parties of service agreements – I’ve spent a great deal of time having both commercial and capability-based discussions prior to contracts being signed.
This is by no means an anti-publisher piece – Regardless of where you stand on recent publishing discussions, I’ve no desire to create an Us (Creators) vs Them (Publishers) sentiment here. There are countless publishers who are passionate about sharing creator’s stories, invest significantly and add a great deal of value to both individual projects and the industry as a whole. No reputable publisher is out to trick creators or deliberately give them a raw deal.  That said, as with many transactions, a publisher is a business with an end goal of limiting liability and generating revenue in both the short and long term – Depending on your ideological feelings, this isn’t necessarily an inherently evil objective, and it’s how publishers remain in business.
Your publishing contract is equally not a formality, a magnanimous offer from a friend with nothing to gain from the arrangement, and your unconditional ticket to success and acclaim. Different deals will work for different creators – A good deal to one will be an unacceptable deal for someone else and there are few terms which would be universally perfect or awful for everyone. I’d hope through these pages I can maybe help you consider your offers, ask necessary questions and make decisions you’re comfortable with for your own circumstances.
Negotiation carries risks – Especially within the sphere of indie publishing, there are a couple of truths we need to reflect on.
1. Comics are an attractive and exciting creative medium for people to get into. Especially if a publisher is welcome to unsolicited submissions, they are likely to have no shortage of people interested in publishing with them.
2. Many publishers aren’t huge organisations. In the event a member of their core team is not already a legal professional, it’s unlikely they will have a legal department on their staff to directly manage adjustments to legal documents and agreements.
What this boils down to is that, many publishers may simply not have the resources or interest in negotiating or adjusting a contract with you – There’s every chance that the offer made to you is non-negotiable. While I’d argue that the withdrawal of an offer in response to a question asked or statement challenged in good faith is indicative of the professionalism of the organisation in question, you should be prepared for the fact that being the squeaky wheel may not land you the deal you want, and may take the one you have off the table.
A Note on NDAs and Market Norms
NDAs, or Non-Disclosure Agreements are very common, as part of, or prior to contracting in many industries. They are typically used to protect (in this case publishers’) private or proprietary information concerning their business practises, contracting terms, project pipeline and pay rates private and confidential. They are a routine consideration and not indicative of any sinister goings on.  In keeping with professional conduct, if you sign an NDA you should, of course, respect its conditions though here are a few considerations and questions you may ask or confirm however.
1: Is the NDA mutually beneficial – While you are agreeing not to share the details of a publisher’s business and offer outside involved parties, does the signed NDA bind the publisher to offer you the same regardless as to whether the end result is a signed publishing agreement?
Are there stated commitments to your work remaining confidential and not circulated to other outside parties during your negotiations? What commitments are made to the return / disposal of any project details or materials shared should an agreement not be finalised.
Additionally, can you expect details on deals you accept in terms of up front remuneration, percentage splits on profits and additional contract terms to remain confidential?
2: Pitch exclusivity – Are there any expectations, formal or otherwise that you should not pitch your comic elsewhere until negotiations have been concluded?
3: Your right to advice – No NDA should prevent you taking appropriate professional advice before signing any final agreement.
Rules on business competition internationally, already provide a great deal of legislation to ensure businesses to remain competitive and prevent illegal practises such as price fixing and market sharing. While market norms may dictate and guide the offers you’re likely to receive competing businesses should not mutually agree to adhere to set fees or conditions. At this point I’ll pause and note that I don’t hold the market specific professional knowledge to apply Anti-Trust and similar business competition legislation to publishing contracts – These should be forefront of a publisher’s mind when managing confidentiality of contract content.
So…With all of that now said (in painstaking detail) let’s get into this shall we
What’s in this for you?
So, you’ve pitched your book to a publisher and they’re interested in working with you? Great news! Now comes the time when you need to consider what you want to get from your potential partner, and consider, realistically, what you’ll accept. For many creators your wants and expectations may include:
Contribution to production costs. Particularly for writer led teams, an ability to appropriately pay artists, colourists, letterers, editors and other professionals make up the bulk of comic production costs even before downstream logistics such as printing, marketing and distribution come into play.  Many publishers may state up front whether this is a model they can support. Initial production costs add to the overall risk and increase the volume needed to sell before profits are realised.   Consider – Landing a publisher may not relieve you of the need to raise personal funds or take to Kickstarter.
Upfront royalty payments. A noble dream for some, though likely only realised by more established creators. Belief in your project will need to be high to warrant an upfront payment to the creator for a book prior to a single copy being sold Consider – Manage your expectations here, how promising is your pitch? Do you have a track record of success that offsets the risk of an upfront pay out?
Percentage Profits – This is likely to be a long-term arrangement of any publishing deal whereby the creator and the publisher acting a licence holder take an agreed % split of future profit revenue generated from the project – Profits from what exactly we’ll come to later.  Consider – There’s no way around this, any additional step in the process here are going to reduce the by unit revenue you receive per each sale. By working with a publisher, the benefit to you is that they support you in, ideally, selling more copies than you would alone.
Production and logistical support – Sure, you know writing, art or whichever your creative field may be, but there’s every chance that your publisher is more familiar with the processes involved with getting your book into people’s hands.  With established relationships with suppliers and retailers your publisher may also be able to optimise the per unit profit on your book sales, in addition to increasing your potential audience through supply networks and wider convention attendance.
In some cases, your publisher may also take a creative role in the process, appointing an editor, or suggesting changes to make a book more marketable in their experience – We’ll also return to this point later.
Comic Financials - Hypothetical example – Comic X
Working without a publisher
You as creator spend £2000 on the production of your comic  (Art, letters, colour, whatever!) Print volumes allow you to obtain copies of your book at £2 per copy
You price your book at £5 per copy Let’s then also assume a modest spend of £200 on website, and attending some local cons, and you break even on Postage and Packing. Under this model you’ll see a profit on your creation once you sell your 734th copy of Comic X. This assumes you sell exactly all of your stock and are left with no additional copies which you’ve paid to have printed, but not yet sold. Let’s make this a tiny bit more complex and suggest that you diversify from selling physical copies online and at cons alone. You begin selling digital copies via an established digital store front at £3. You also connect with local comic retailers who agree to carry copies of your comics in store. To keep this simple and not lose the remaining 3 people this dive into maths hasn’t lost already let’s assume that your sales across all avenues equal out to 1/3 each, and once again all copies you produce will sell. The digital sales have no print cost but the digital storefront takes 50% of the sale price
The stores agree to purchase copies of your book from you for £4, creating a 33% share on profit after print costs.
Under this scenario, Comic X will officially be profitable after around 245 direct physical sales, 489 digital sales and 367 sales via stores.
Working with a publisher
Under this model, we’ll assume that you as a creator invested the same £2000 in production costs but nothing further, leaving the publisher to manage the printing along with costs for attending conventions etc.
Outside of the numbers here, your publisher is also the party taking the risk regarding the volume produced if any copies go unsold. The trade off is that your publisher will take a percentage of any profits before they reach you. For this example, let’s say you agree on 50% revenue share and receive no contribution to production costs or any upfront payment.
For argument sake, let’s assume your publisher secures the same unit costs and margins (though you’d hope they may be able to negotiate better through volume purchasing). Understanding a publisher’s direct cost with con attendance, and marketing when applied to a single book is a level of hypothetical we won’t attempt here.
Focussing on you as a creator, under the same sales methods used in the non-publisher model you would begin to see profit on your production investment of £2000 from publisher paid royalties after 445 direct sales, 889 digital sales and 667 in store sales.
After all this talk of money, the first thing to recognise is that it isn’t everything to all creators. Many will consider the long-term goals of building an audience as a pathway to bigger and better things, or simply an investment in their creative hobby. Those with realistic aspirations will likely not expect to anything resembling a profit from their early books (save perhaps for those with the skills to produce a comic entirely alone or with collaborators satisfied with payment purely from sale revenue). For many creators, having a partner who ensures copies of their books get into people’s hands, minimising their own administrative efforts is the goal.
What is critical is to do your own calculations, consider your goals along with level of financial investment and energy you have to invest in selling your own book. In this simplified example, we’ve not considered the accuracy of print orders vs sales, tax applications or eligible rebates or potential publisher costs deducted from profits to account for their operational expenses, but it should give you a loose model to consider your own investment against.
Potential Questions – Depending on your financial and creative motivations
What sales numbers does the publisher consider to be a success? Assuming the publisher will set sale price – What margin do they consider acceptable vs costs? What sales avenues does the publisher use? Does the publisher have established relationships with distributors and retailers with agreements to carry their stock? If so, what regions and countries do they have distribution networks within? Which electronic store fronts does the publisher make books available via? What volume of conventions, in which locations, does the publisher typically attend? Are they willing to share any statistics on which platforms generate the strongest sales? How, if at all, are publisher overhead costs factored into overall sale profits for division between publisher and creator? Does the agreement permit the creator to obtain copies of the publication at cost, or discounted rates for either personal use or onward sale? What marketing methods do the publisher deploy to promote new and existing content? Does the agreement, place any expectations or limitations on the actions of the creator to promote the comic? Does the agreement commit the publisher to any minimum volume of books to be produced for sale, or resources allocated to promote the publication?
What’s in this for them?
Now we come to the other half of the deal. In working with a publisher, you grant your partner certain rights in potentially both the short and long term. Understanding the rights, you’re happy to sign away and the long-term implications can be key points in your decision-making process.
Your potential publisher may request some of the following:
Percentage Profits on book sales – This is a given and how your publisher will make the most immediate return on backing your comic and investing in its production or distribution
Editorial and creative direction – While some publishers may primarily take on completed projects, others may provide editorial input. For many creators, this may be beneficial professional, input to improve the project overall.  Consider – When you engage an editor privately as a self-published creator, the final decision on how you incorporate your editor’s feedback is your own. A publisher driven edit may take the final creative control out of your own hands. As with many aspects in this section this can be a positive, but it is something you should consider and make peace with before you agree to your publishing deal.
Revenue on sale of promotional and licensed goods – As part of your agreement, your publisher may gain rights to produce and sell a variety of goods associated with your comic. For a small press projects, this could be as simple as prints, postcards and pins made available as add on purchases, but an agreement could equally account for additional 3rd party licensing. Consider – From a financial perspective do you retain a share of the profits from the sale of promotional or licensed goods? Is the rate in line with the percentage you earn from book sales? Depending on the answer to these questions, if your book is successful and lends itself to popular merchandise, you’ll potentially see a larger return on your production investment more quickly, in time you may even see more royalties from the tasteful sets of commemorative glassware your story has produced than the book itself.  From a creative standpoint, you need to consider that you are likely giving up a degree of control here. If you’ve strong feelings that series logo should never appear on a tote bag, this is potentially something your deal may remove your option to veto in the future.
Adaptation rights – In licensing your comic for publication, your publisher may request rights concerning the adaptation of your comic into other mediums.  These rights may extend to written and audio productions, stage, television and film versions and interactive media such as video games. The requested rights may be inclusive of both financial benefits of licensing for alternative mediums and overall creative control in the adaptation for other media.  Consider – If you’re a creative person with hands in other media, be it a keen filmmaker or an apprentice of coding, you may wish to seek to retain your own rights to pursue alternative interpretations of your story. Particularly in fields you have interest in.  This may also be the time to consider how you would feel about any alternative take on your work with which you may have no creative involvement or influence over.
Sequel / Spin-off Rights – In agreeing to publish your project your publisher may also requests rights relating to production of related projects, both in comics or other media (as detailed above). These rights may include first review and option to license the new publication prior to it being offered to other publishers, the right to engage the creative team professionally to actively work on a related publication, or potentially engaging a separate creative team.  Consider – As with the above point, your decision on agreeing with these terms will depend on your overall attachments to the project and your own long-term plans for ongoing related stories.  If the idea of having limited or no control on how your original story grows into future projects gives you cold sweats, this is a right you’ll need to consider your comfort with, before you sign. How important is having ongoing control to you?
Potential Questions – Depending on your financial and creative motivations
What history does the publisher have with facilitating adaptation of comics to other media? Does the agreement, obligate or limit the creator in efforts to adapt the publication for other media? Does the publisher actively seek opportunities for property adaptations, or is this handled ad hoc as interested parties approach the publisher as licence holder? Does the publisher’s right to financial share in adaptation driven revenue differ in the event that the publisher take no active role in adapting or pitching the an adaptation of the property? What rights do the publisher hold regarding the sale or transition of publishing or ongoing licensing rights to a third party?
Overall, considering the ongoing rights and control a creator or creative team is willing to hand over to a publisher will be a critical point for many in making a decision before signing an agreement. How you perceive the value of publisher input, a potential reduction in creative control and your confidence in the long-term potential of your story will be key points in influencing what you’re comfortable in conceding in exchange for the benefits your publisher brings to the table.
The Finer Details
With the main points of your agreement carefully reviewed, it’s time to consider the ifs and buts, concerning the terms and limitations of your agreement.
Time – How long does your agreement grant the stated rights to your publisher? A set period? A set period with right to extend or first refusal to negotiate extension on similar terms or terms related to performance? Indefinite? Location – Are publication rights granted internationally or only in certain territories? Does your selected publisher have capabilities to market and distribute in all stated territories?  If not, do they actively seek third party partners to distribute successful publications in additional territories?
Obligations – Are there stated timings for release, efforts to market, volumes sold, or stock made available for purchase a publisher must maintain to retain the license to your comic? Remuneration and Reporting – How frequently are royalties calculated and paid to the creator or creative team? Are there lower and upper limits to disbursement amounts? What reporting does your publisher provide to indicate gross profits leading to creator revenue share? Specifically, when it comes to matters of accounting. If you intend to maintain a financial interest in the performance of your work, appropriate transparency of accounting may be essential to understand your publisher’s level of investment and gross earnings before final profits are divided? Most organisations should permit you a right to audit, but be mindful of the conditions applied. Permitting a deep audit via the appointment of an official accountant able to review documentation on a publisher’s premises may fulfil legal obligations but creates an immediate pay wall for you as an independent creator, whose initial earnings on a single book may not warrant the investment.
If your potential publisher is able to provide sample reporting, you can accommodate yourself with the level of detail prior to signature and assure yourself that the level of transparency meets your level of interest.
Legal obligations – In addition to any submission conditions when you pitched your book, signing a publishing agreement will almost certainly involve your further verification that the work is your own and indemnify your publisher from any obligation or responsibility should this statement prove inaccurate in the future.  In addition to the obligations on the creator, take note of any commitments made by the publisher to protect the IP you are licensing to them, and potential indemnity from any actions arising from material changes to the work or subsequent adaptation upon which the publisher, or their representative exercises creative control.
Limitations and release – Tied to the any limitations relating to time or location stated in your contract, it’s also worth noting any other terms which would lead to overall rights being returned back to the original creator or creative team.  The most commonly anticipated reason for this would be publisher insolvency, though in some cases a struggling publisher with the appropriate rights could look to sell on any held licensing rights to a third party to raise capital prior to this occurring (assuming your agreement permits this). Clauses that benefit the creator in this area could speak to the minimum level of production or service provided to promote your comic, which if not met over an extended period results in the rights returning to the creator to pitch elsewhere or develop further with no further obligation to the publisher, thus holding your publisher to a higher degree of accountability for your book’s ongoing performance. Another alternative may represent a defined buy out clause, permitting the creative team to release themselves or further obligation to a publisher by either ensuring a pre-defined return on the publisher’s initial investment or a sum equal relevant to the book’s performance.   The latter examples, I’d anticipate would be less frequent in their appearance within standard contract language, however these may be some of the most essential inclusions for a creator who is invested in the long-term management and performance of their work.
For an example, we’ll return to Comic X…
Worst case scenario…
Joe Creator, writer of Comic X, signs a publisher agreement granting licencing rights, inclusive of, merchandise, sequel and adaptation control and financial rights irrevocably to a publisher.
Joe’s agreement sees the creator receive 50% of Net profits from book sales but nothing from any additional licensing or merchandising unless directly engaged by the publisher to work on this new content under a separate agreement.  The publisher will manage distribution and printing costs but does not contribute to the initial creation cost for artwork and associated tasks.
The rights will return to Joe only should the publisher file bankruptcy or should they fail to produce any volumes of the work within a defined period following initial project completion.
With no minimum term of service, the publisher fulfils their obligation to Joe through a short production run of 50 copies of their book, which are not directly marketed by the publisher but organically sells 30 copies through their inclusion on the publisher’s stand at conventions. The remaining 20 copies are sold at stock clearance reduction prices and do not recoup their print costs. The book is not listed digitally or marketed to any retailers. In the end of his first year since publication, the royalties owed to Joe from the profit share fall well below the minimum payment threshold and no payment is made.
In the five years that follow, the book remains listed on the publisher’s store front as “Out of Stock” and based on performance no further print runs are ordered.
Meanwhile, Joe continues to build career momentum through well received subsequent releases, published independently and interest in obtaining adaptation rights for Joe Creator properties hits public consciousness.  Having secured irrevocable licencing rights the publisher secures a lucrative 3 series deal with Netflix adapting Joe’s original Comic X series. Netflix opts to use their own writing team, whose agents ensure they are recognised as lead creatives.  A credit listing “Based on Comic X by Joe Creator” appears at the end of the opening credits, but everyone skips these.
With the Netflix series differing significantly from the original Comic X, rather than reprint the original, the publisher opts to engage a different creative team to spin off a new ongoing series based more closely on the aesthetic and themes of the new Netflix creation. The financial impact to Joe from creating the original work remains fundamentally minus £2000 as the £35 owed to Joe in previous revenue falls below the minimum payment threshold. This is an extreme example, played up for the sake of hyperbole, but hopefully it illustrates the point Consider your conditions carefully, what you gain, what you give away, and the level of effort your publisher commits to you. and finally.
Know who you’re dealing with - Know your own worth
Throughout previous sections, I’ve encouraged creators to consider what they want from a publisher, what they are happy to give in exchange and the finer details of agreements.
I’ll leave you with a (mercifully) briefer point by encouraging both research and self-reflection. Your research on a publisher should not begin and end with “Who is accepting pitches?”
Consider the fit of your project within their body of work.
Meet and connect with other creators who’ve worked with them and politely request their feedback.
Look at publisher’s company performance and makeup with resources such a Companies house or Endole. Do they appear financially stable? How large is their team? What other interests to their leadership team have?
Look at publisher’s websites and social media platforms, how are they marketing? How large is their reach? How much interaction do you see with their posts? How large is their portfolio?
Measure your own, time, resources, and reach against your potential publishers and consider objectively and, in quantifiable terms wherever you can, how you measure up.  If you’re brining a sizable or active existing audience with you to a publisher this may enhance your ability to negotiate.
To wrap up I’ll say, that I hope the last, almost 5000 words *Jeez* have been of some value, whatever your experience of creating or publishing to date. I by no means consider myself an authority on anything so would be delighted if this sparks further conversation and discussion from others who may add more specific examples and considerations which may help others chasing the goal of having published work out in the wild.
I’ll return to one of my opening points that there are some fantastic publishers doing incredible work in the indie comic scene and making books possible that would otherwise never see the light of day. For indie creators, whether a publishing deal is a Holy Grail or a Poison Chalice will likely remain up to the individual and determined by how circumstances play out.  If this helps just one person, take pause, consider their options and make an informed choice it will have been worth the effort.

Service dogs “are not here to serve us” rebuttal
Hardcore vegans are known for hypocritical stances such as forcing domesticated obligate carnivores to eat vegan food, thinking sheep don’t need to be sheared, and turning a blind eye to the fact that many animal-free products from developing countries only come over to North America because of unfair treatment of workers. Recently the spying algorithm of my google phone sent an article my way that highlighted some animal rights organization’s preposterous instagram post against service dogs.
The post reads as follows:
The default position of veganism is to reject the use of non-human animals. This includes ALL uses, including service animals.
The key word here is “use.” They are not, and never were, here for us to use. Non-human animals owe us absolutely nothing.
Yet some believe humans do have the right to have certain animals and individuals serve us; therefore, they domesticate them for this purpose. But domestication does not involve consent by all those involved, and there is unequal power in the relationship. Just because individuals CAN be trained to serve us does not mean that they SHOULD.
When we adopt non-humans as our companions, we can save them from further exploitation. To continue to use them as tools for human purposes after adoption goes wholly against vegan principles. Therefore, we remain opposed to the use of animals (such as dogs) for human service, even if the animals were NOT bought from a breeder.
Service dogs and the like are still a WANT and not a need. And regardless of treatment, the use of any animal for service promotes the idea that animals are here to work for humans rather than to exist in their own right as individuals.
If we haven’t already made the point clear, under no circumstances should ANY non-human be used at the hands of humans.
Let it be known. I used to be a hardcore ARA back in the day, and I still have strong opinions for animal welfare. I am notably however, not inherently opposed to humans consuming meat, as we are opportunist omnivores so while we should be working towards humane and sustainable food sources, I think we should still be allowed to evolve out of eating meat at our own pace as a species if we are going to abandon it altogether. Forcing an animal to conform to a dietary restriction they don’t in nature is inhumane, and humans are animals. I also do not believe in full on animal rights. The difference “rights” have as oppose to “welfare” are basically concerning things like body rights, personhood, etc. I do believe in implementing animal rights under certain situations and contexts however, and this does involve dogs. I might touch up on this at a later date.
The relationship the human species has with the domestic dog is unheard of on the same level in any other lifeform on Earth. Tarantulas are known to keep tiny frogs as pets, and we have certainly domesticated many other animals, but a symbiotic relationship as in-tune as humans have with dogs is currently unparalleled. There are many factors that go into this. I for one think that cats are fully capable of developing similar bonds if we didn't normalize letting them run outside unsupervised for days at a time and intermingle with feral colonies, but that’s neither here nor there. Dogs had a head start, and a key factor was that unlike cats, their ancestors shared a similar ecological niche to humans, had nearly identical social structures, and lived in extremely tight-knit familial groups like we did. These similarities would put the perfect ground work in place. There are fossil records that indicated that early man cared a lot for their sick or injured family members, with individuals who wouldn't have been able to have offered anything of working value to their family for the entirety of their lives, based on the state of their injuries were cared for far past when they would have otherwise survived if left to struggle. This behavior is also seen in domestic dogs and their wild relatives. Note: the whole “alpha male” thing were unfounded studies that turns out were done on extremely stressed individuals forced to cohabitate with strangers in captivity and aren't valid.
Dogs have evolved to eat the same food that we do, we significantly changed and altered their physical bodies so they’d be suited to a whole variety of different roles in our society, dogs have evolved to have more specialized eyebrows so that they can better physically communicate with us, and some new studies in their early stages even suggest that we may even have some sort of a proto-psychic bond with dogs. Or in the very least they have evolved to be extremely aware of our feelings based on tiny facial expressions or specific scents. Still no small feat. Particularly sharp breeds mimic human speech based on vocalizations they associate with excitement or praise. Dogs can understand specific words and tones of voice in our language, follow our line of gaze and direction indicated by hand gesture, and generally have cognitive abilities akin to a five-year-old. Dogs are known to empathize with us when we express negative emotions and are well documented for pining for deceased human family members and waiting for them for the remainder of their own lives. Dogs do not understand the concept of death, but they understand the concept of losing us. While there are many animals conventionally smarter than dogs, this bond cannot be replicated to the same extent with them. To a dog, their human is family. To be protected at all cost. Dogs LOVE us. And it’s a pure unconditional love. Flawed only in how innocent a dog is. Unable to understand concepts like good and evil. This is extremely serious. I cannot stress how one-in-a-million, incredible, sacred, and rare what happened between us and dogs is. It’s the most beautiful thing to me that exists on planet Earth. It’s one of the only things that makes me think the universe is more than just cold and unfeeling. If there is anything that could be possibly used as proof of a higher power in this universe it’d be this. Of all the things left up to chance in this universe, humans and dogs found each other. Anyways, sorry to go off. It’s just something I’m extremely passionate about.
The point I’m making of course, is that dogs are just short of actually being members of our own species, and having a service dog is basically the same thing as asking your kindergartner to get the newspaper or pick up the TV remote you accidentally dropped.
In fact, for many service dogs the tasks they’re trained to perform aren't just basically things like those examples, they’re literally things like those examples.
So lets get some misconceptions out of the way:
“Dogs don’t like working”
Dogs love making us happy. They love helping us. They feel accomplished when they have a participating role in our lives. Especially true for working breeds, it’s actually recommended that dogs get some form of training or work exercise as part of a daily or weekly routine for their own mental enrichment. As well as exercise. All breeds generally associated with service dog and guide dog work have extensive histories of performing tasks for humans. And they love doing it! Retriever breeds are literally named after the fact that they came along to retrieve downed prey animals for their humans. This is basically “fetch” with a purpose. And fetch is the most well-known way we play with our dogs in existence. Retrievers are a popular choice for service dogs because their selectively bred “gentle mouth” and retrieving instincts make them the perfect candidate for a pupper who picks up things you dropped, and can bring you a pill bottle, phone, or emergency pager in a pinch. Dogs who also have the body strength for it get exercise and mental enrichment from performing tasks like balance assist. Just like how sled dogs LOVE sledding. Once again, you've likely heard cases of maltreated sled dogs, but the possibility for being exploited doesn't change the fact that if it’s responsibly managed, these dogs enjoy this line of work. In fact, if you have a sled dog and they don’t get to exert themselves physically, often times by needing far more walks and play, they’re going to be bored and miserable. The dog likes and wants to do these things for us. We just have a responsibility to make sure it’s not hurting them. A person can enjoy their job, and it’s only if something happens like they’re not making a living wage that it becomes exploitative. Dogs are the same. So long as they enjoy what they’re doing and it’s not causing them any issues, they’re probably going to have even more enriched lives for doing it!
“Training is abusive”
Proper training is positive reinforcement. There’s some idiots who think that physically punishing a dog is a good form of training, and I’d like to recommend them this to read. Service tasks pretty much MUST be trained with positive reinforcement. In order to encourage them to perform these tasks. Not only that, but training is a form of mental enrichment. Every dog, regardless of whether they’re a family pet or a working animal should have some form of obedience training. It’s good for them! They feel accomplished. It’s a fun bonding activity to do for a few minutes a day. It is possible for a dog to “burn out” (trained too hard too fast resulting in frustration and giving up) or “wash out” (when interactions are inconsistent, leading the dog to be confused and not behave as indicated) so there are incentives in place to ensure that training is well-paced, moderate, and isn't frustrating to the dog. Proper, positive, and well-paced training is a perfect way to add a healthy routine to a dog’s life and strengthen their bond with you. It’s enriching. In the same way that a crossword puzzle on your commute to work is to you. Dogs like making us happy, they like challenge, and they like accomplishments.
“Dogs aren't consenting to the tasks they are performing”
Remember when I said how routine and doing things to make us happy strengthen our dog’s bond and enrich their lives? Remember how I said that many tasks dogs are trained to do are basically playing but with a purpose? Remember how I said that training for service work is entirely positive reinforcement and dogs are incentively encouraged to do their tasks? This is where animal rights vs animal welfare comes in. The notion that animals should have the exact same rights of personhood that humans have is what the angle these people are going with is reflecting. They see dogs being “tricked” to do things. As them being exploited. Even though these things are fun and enriching for dogs. If a task is something the dog can naturally do, and willingly wants to do, or wants to do to show us they care, they are consenting to it. If I really like my friend’s character so I draw them gift art am I being exploited because they’re getting free art? No.
“Service work is harming the dog”
There are situations where a task could be unfit for a particular breed: ie a lean, thin dog who isn't equipped for pulling being made to do a related task, but this is a problem in an individual situation, one that trainers would look into extensively. A happy and healthy service dog is a service dog who is also ensuring their handler is happy and healthy. There’s no reason that somebody would force a dog to perform a task they physically can’t do, because that would just make life hard on both dog and handler. Professional trainers and laws being put in place are also strongly against this sort of thing. We have publicly available guides all over the place to explain which dogs may not be suited for service work based on temperament or size. It ultimately comes down to the individual, like every situation involving neglect or cruelty. Other issues such as not having your dog wear shoes when they spend a lot of time walking on hot pavement, not ensuring your dog has access to cleanliness, food, and medicine, etc. are not issues exclusive to service dogs. They’re issues for dog husbandry in general. Training organizations and certain parts of the world (Like BC!) will pretty much ensure that the dog is at peak health, or they’re taken back. In BC service dogs must look healthy and clean, pass health examinations from a vet, be up to date with shots, and be sterilized. Otherwise they can’t be a service dog. That’s stricter laws than the ones in place for pet dogs. In this situation a service dog has more protections towards their quality of life than a pet dog does.
Now lets dissect the instagram post point by point:
The default position of veganism is to reject the use of non-human animals. This includes ALL uses, including service animals.
1. note how they say “non-human animals” because veganism loves to kick issues with farmers in developing countries under the rug as I previously explained. 2. INTERSECTIONALITY! Humans ARE animals. You should care about the wellbeing of all animals and nature. This includes humans, especially humans being exploited to provide food. 3. I’m also disgusted by their (repeated) claim that service animals are “used.” As if my massive explanation that dogs do this because they love us isn't pretty obvious if you've spent any portion of your life with a dog.
The key word here is “use.” They are not, and never were, here for us to use. Non-human animals owe us absolutely nothing.
AGAIN WITH THE “USE” I’m about to bite you. I suppose if a child wants their parent to read to them or hug them the parent is also being USED? Dogs don’t owe us anything. Yes. 100% agree. They aren't being forced to do these things because we feel they owe us. They WANT to do things for us. Out of the goodness of their hearts. Because they feel accomplished. Because it enriches their lives. Because they LOVE us. Damn it.
Yet some believe humans do have the right to have certain animals and individuals serve us; therefore, they domesticate them for this purpose. But domestication does not involve consent by all those involved, and there is unequal power in the relationship. Just because individuals CAN be trained to serve us does not mean that they SHOULD.
Yes, it is pretty unfair that many animals were domesticated for our use. But I’m gonna explain it as gently as I can; dogs and humans have a symbiotic relationship. Domestication, like with cats, started out as an accident. Then we started providing for each other. Here we see the consent thing. (refer to my “dogs don’t consent to service tasks” rebuttal. The term “service” IMO is outdated. They’re not serving us like slaves, they’re aiding us like you’d help a loved one who needs your help. And again, training is ENRICHING for dogs. It’s fun. it helps them feel accomplished. It stops them from being bored. If a dog wasn't consenting to being trained they would burn out.
For someone keen on arguing for the rights of dogs you really are just going to refer to their role in our lives as “tools” huh? A symbiotic relationship where a dog does nice things because we let them know that we’d want them to isn't them being a tool. It’s them showing us compassion and caring for their family. Also LMAO at the breeder part. Comes out of left field.
Service dogs and the like are still a WANT and not a need. And regardless of treatment, the use of any animal for service promotes the idea that animals are here to work for humans rather than to exist in their own right as individuals.
“A WANT and not a need” oh my god. Fuck you. Living with a dog should be a human right, and living with a human should be a dog right. We exist because of each other, we are made for each other. Our evolution was influenced by each other. There are people who’s lives are made infinitely more livable because of the compassion and care their dog gives them, even if they’re not doing tasks. Dogs pretty much need humans in their lives to have quality of life. I’ll give you a hint. Dogs do exist in their own right as individuals. Individuals who bond with and show their love for their families by doing nice things for them. Why the hell is this so hard for you to understand? Dogs derive enjoyment and accomplishment from the symbiotic relationships we share. Not only that, but based on this instagram post I’d say dogs also have significantly more empathy for others than you do (to be honest I think that’s the case 90% of the time when it comes to humans), because they can understand helping someone out of the goodness of their hearts but you don’t.
If we haven’t already made the point clear, under no circumstances should ANY non-human be used at the hands of humans.
USED USED USED. If you’re so bent out of shape about this why don’t you just rally against keeping dogs as pets in the first place? (some of these people are. I've seen it) I mean, a symbiotic relationship with any sort of power imbalance is in and of itself “use” by your definition.
Reading this instagram post I’m genuinely concerned if this person has ever been in the same room as a dog before. It’s just really insulting.
Growing up as an abuse survivor, all the dogs I lived with were so empathetic. They knew I needed someone to comfort me, to keep me safe, to let me know everything was going to be okay. They knew. The amount of information that could be transfered between our gazes was astronomical. A dog wouldn't come to you in your darkest hour, when you've beginning to lose your voice from how hard you've been crying, and stay with you for hours on end if they didn't love you. Love is about doing things for each other. Willing sacrifice. Empathy and compassion. If you teach a dog ways that they can help you even further, of course they’re going to want to do that. No matter how messed up and grim our society becomes we’ll always be there for each other. It’s the only constant we know. Humans have an obligation to protect this sacred bond but the fact that some people are so convinced of shit like this is just heartrending. Dogs want to do things for us just as much as we should want to do things for them. And when many of these things bring enrichment to their lives, there really isn't a reason not to let them and help them understand a little better.
In conclusion:

Types of Badass Characters
So, you want to write a badass character.  Where do you start?  What makes a character a Badass?
This will serve as a decent foundation to start building a strong character that your readers can admire.  From there you’ll want to develop their personality - the particular ‘flavor’ that makes them a joy to watch.
The key trait to keep in mind is their strength of will, they should never be easy to push around.
The Optimistic Badass
1. Idealistic - This is a character who sees the good in others, even when that person has a hard time seeing it in themselves.  The cynical among us will  mock them for their optimism, but these badasses know that the world isn’t as corrupt as some believe it to be.  Even if the world is corrupt, the Optimistic Badass won’t let it stay that way for long.
2. Forgiving - Forgiving those who have wronged you can be difficult.  You cling to the pain they’ve caused you and may think revenge is the only way to find peace of mind.  Instead of seeking revenge, the Optimistic Badass seeks to understand you and how your actions are just the result of being in pain as well.
3. Defiant - The world is full of pain and hardships.  It can feel, at times, that you are being punished for doing the right thing.  Sometimes it’s easier to give in to temptation and be selfish for once.  The Optimistic Badass is a character who, no matter how painful life gets, refuses to break their principles.
Example of an Optimistic Badass: Po from Kung Fu Panda.
The Pessimistic Badass
1. Prepared - It would take a miracle to pull one over on these characters.  They expect the worst out of everyone and everything, so they’ll rarely find themselves at a disadvantage.
2. Learners - Anytime you do catch them off guard they’ll simply learn from their mistakes.  These are the types of people who grow stronger with time.  Your only hope of beating them is the first time you encounter them; after that it’s a guarantee they’ve learned your weaknesses and will use them against you.
3. Survivalist - More of a side effect of being both prepared for the worst and learning from each failure.  They’ll quickly acquire the skills and tools to overcome any and all obstacles.
Example of the Pessimistic Badass: Joel from The Last of Us
The Feminine Badass
Note: Any gender can be a feminine badass, femininity is not limited to female characters.
1. Empathy - With a Feminine Badass you will never suffer alone.  Not only will they see the pain you try to hide, but they will also share in it with you.  They empower those around them through unconditional acceptance.  They seen the worst side of you, and they still love you.
2. Nurturing - Feminine Badasses are intuitive, they can see your potential and help you cultivate it.  They understand that everyone learns differently than others and will find the method that works best for you.  This is a common trait for mentors to have since it involves developing the strengths of others.
3. Creative - The strengths of femininity don’t come from brute strength or intimidation.  Instead, they come from subtlety and misdirection.  Through their social skills they motivate their allies to take action.  Through emotional intelligence they are able to connect with their enemies and help them heal from their pain.  You won’t even know they’ve back you into a corner until it’s too late.
Example of the Feminine Badass: Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender
The Masculine Badass
Note: Just like femininity, masculinity is not gender specific.
1. Assertive - They have a healthy respect for their own boundaries and will not budge if you try to push them around.  They stand up against corruption and refuse to back down when they, or those they care about, are being treated unfairly.
2. Proactive - Not one to sit back and watch as life passes them by, the Masculine Badass goes out into the world to experience all it has to offer.  They are not the types to sit around and wait for permission to take action.  If they see something they want, they’ll go and get it.
3. Protector - They will ensure that no harm will come to those they care about.  This protective instinct is strongest where their loved ones are concerned, but they can also apply it to the innocent bystanders who are being abused.  They are the ones who will fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.
Example of the Masculine Badass: Ryuko Matoi from Kill la Kill.
The Comedic Badass
1. Humorous - Life may be filled to the brim with tragedies, but these characters won’t let their pain weigh them down.  If anything, they’ve learned how to see the humor in their suffering and uses it to lighten the mood.
2. Spirited - You can beat them down and destroy what they love, but you will never break them.  No matter what you throw at them they’ll find a way to joke about it, making you feel like the idiot.  If anything, the Comedic Badass will be the one to break you than the other way around.
3. Friendly - These are people who, typically, have hit rock bottom in their life and knows what it feels like to be helpless.  This is why they’re able to make jokes about everything, it’s how they cope with their pain.  When they see someone else just as lost as they once were, they reach out to them and help them find resolution with their trauma.
Example of a Comedic Badass: Deadpool/Wade Wilson.
The Serious Badass
1. Realistic - Concepts like good and evil don’t concern them since they know it’s all subjective.  You can label anything you don’t like as evil to justify your hatred of them.  Rather than labeling you as right or wrong based on their own biases, the Serious Badass will look at your actions with the intention of understanding your point of view.
2. Neutral - They tend not to take sides or get involved in the affairs of other people.  All they care about are the things that directly affect their them and their goals.  Unless you threaten their loved ones, they won’t likely get involved in your affairs.
3. Patient - A lot of times, people create their own problems by acting on their strong emotions before they have all of the facts.  The Serious Badass has a strong enough control over their emotions that, even if something upsets them, they’ll first observe their surroundings before they take action.
Example of a Serious Badass: Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke.
The Humble Badass
1. Unassuming - These are the types of badasses that you wouldn’t notice at first.  Their strengths are not of the flashy sort, like a masculine or comedic type, but of the quite and persistent type.  It may take you years before you realize their constant friendship and stability is the only reason your still sane.
2. Dedicated - They’ll stay loyal to their friends, or their goals, even if it means suffering for it.  Why?  Because they know their hard work will make life better for other people.  It doesn’t matter to them if they never receive the credit for their actions, they just want to help others.
3. Giving - What little they have they will gladly share with others.  Whether it be there food, their home, or just their time these characters love to share it with those who need it.  These are the types of people who have an abundance mindset, a belief that you have more than enough resources to share with others.
Example of the Humble Badass: Amaterasu from Ōkami.
The Egotistic Badass
1. Self-worth - Most egotists are annoying due to their false and over inflated sense of their self-worth - they claim to be better than their actions can prove.  The Egotistic Badass, on the other hand, are as awesome as they claim to be if not more so.  We never get tired of listening to their boasting because we get to see how awesome they are in their actions.
2. Compassion - An odd trait for most egotists to have, but surprisingly appropriate for the Egotistic Badass.  If you told them that love makes you weak, they’ll completely agree with you; which is why they can afford to love someone.  Unlike most people, who reject love out of fear that their love will be used against them, the Egotistic Badass is confident in their ability to protect those they love.
3. Thrill-Seekers - What else are they supposed to do with all of their awesomeness?  The mundane life style is not, and will never be, enough for them.  They need to seek out new challenges to keep their skills sharp and expand their minds.
Example of the Egotistic Badass: Vino from Baccano.

Opposites attract? Very often they do. The interesting thing about opposite astrological signs is that they do share a common theme, helping them to see eye-to-eye from time to time, at least. Both of you are stubborn individuals, rather fixed in your habits and tastes, and essentially intense and loyal in love. Neither of you lets go of partnerships—or each other—easily. Your partner tends to be more intense about his or her attachments than you are, and your overall peacefulness should go a long way to calm the sometimes tumultuous waters of your partner’s emotions and needs. Each of you is attracted to the other’s strong personality and willingness to commit. Your partner senses in you the ability to “go the distance”, and mutual respect is likely the result. This is a sexually intense and magnetic partnership. Who will run the show? Ideally, both of you will, in different ways, but power is important to both of you, and your strong personalities may clash at times. One of the most common differences between Taurus and Scorpio lies in how you approach love relationships. You may find your partner overly complex, while your partner might consider your needs too simple! Your desire is for peace and stability, while your partner thrives on boat-rocking from time to time. Your partner tends to feel threatened when a relationship becomes too predictable, but predictability is your goal! This basic clash is inevitable, and finding a common ground will be essential. This partnership has an exceptional chance of lasting.

Valentine in Aries is fired up to give its support and protection. People with this placement can move mountains to be with their love. Chivalry is a part if love. You sacrifice your safety in pursuit of love.
Valentine in Libra people often sacrifice themselves for love. You can be so focused on creating the perfect partnership that you forget you you yourself are. You give the gift of being faithful when your love is really true.
💘 ♉︎ 8° 💖  💘 ♐︎ 14°
Eros in Taurus. These are highly sensual lovers who may seek to own their partners. Sexual possessiveness is often an issue with these lovers, and, unlike Eros in Aries, competition is not a turn-on. These lovers can be somewhat primitive in their desires and not as attracted to too much sexual intricacy. Plenty of masturbation is likely, although these lovers tend to be most unhappy without a steady partner. Their sexual natures are rooted in the senses.
Eros in Sagittarius. These lovers have an enthusiastic and exuberant appeal. Sex is meant to be fun for Eros in Sagittarius, and some roughhousing and plenty of hearty laughs are turn-ons. Sexuality is sometimes viewed as if it were a sport by these people. They may surprise you with a very open and almost innocent attitude toward sex and intimacy. Sex is a bit of a game, and how this attitude is received will depend a lot on the audience! There can be a bit of an addiction to the chase, and avoidance of intimacy when it feels restricting in any way. Tenderness and romance are not the kinds of expressions that come as easily to these lovers. Laughter and fun are aphrodisiacs for this position of Eros. Sexual exploration and freedom are important, as well as a need for sexual honesty——sex without the frills and trappings that these lovers may find to be unnatural and even dishonest. Eros in Sagittarius can show up as passion for knowledge, hunger for new experiences, and a love of travel and exploring new lands and cultures.
⚶ ♐︎  12° 💖 ⚶ ♋︎  6°
If Vesta is in Sagittarius, you protect the flame of spirituality, knowledge and competition. You feel a commitment to knowledge and to shared wisdom. You are an advocate of fairness and justice and guard the right to be free to explore the world and its assets and gifts. You are focused on the expansion of the soul through the human by understanding the workings of the world and expanding on them. You are likely to deny yourself the right to move, to explore and to tap into your own truth of spirituality as you seek to find your own mission. You can deny yourself a faith and belief basis in an effort to embrace more than a set of possibilities and adherence's. You can also sacrifice your inner knowledge and your right to share that with the world and the people in your life and can find competition uncomfortable until you have embraced your truth and purpose.
If Vesta is in Cancer, you guard the flame of the home. You protect the right to nurture and love maternally and unconditionally. Your mission is to shelter and nourish the children of your life including friends, lovers, associates and your literal children. In your search for own own spiritual truth it is the qualities of nurturance, self acceptance and unconditional love that you are likely to deny yourself. You can withdraw them from your world as well as you seek to understand your connection with a spiritual base of complete acceptance and love. You keep a vision of home intact and in focus and available for those you have sheltered under your wings. You are acutely focused on the emotional needs of those in your life .

Ceres in Aquarius nurtures others by developing their sense of social justice and an acceptance of their own uniqueness. One feels nurtured when accepted by the group, or when participating in causes, or in activities shared by people with similar goals. Under stress, Ceres here may feel disconnected from others, or that one is socially inept. This placement fosters a sense of personal freedom. If it's weird, someone with Ceres in Aquarius will be likely to find it nurturing. Being with friends would also be a nurturing experience, and the friends, in turn, will probably feel nurtured. However, the early nurturing received was most likely erratic. When mommy isn't there when the child is crying, the kid has to eventually cut off from the feelings of abandonment. Eventually, the child grows up, starts dating, and, when they really like somebody, up comes the feeling "I need you." That's when they get the great urge to run away. The negative side of Ceres in Aquarius is that it tends to have contact difficulties in intimate relationships. Can humor other people into doing jobs for which they are best adapted. This placement brings tact and the ability to compromise, making them well liked by all. These persons identify nurturing with individuality. Ideally, the mothering experience fostered self-determination and a recognition of the rights of others. Nurturing is expressed through teaching others to accept their eccentricities and themselves, even if they 'follow the beat of a different drummer'. Self-acceptance can be gained through following one's own original and unique path. Imbalances may occur if the child was not given limits and guidelines, and therefore received more freedom than he or she was prepared to cope with. This would manifest as the 'rebel without a cause', the individual who needs to gain inner control and self-discipline so that he / she can handle the responsibilities of freedom.
Ceres in Leo feels nurtured and nurtures others by expressing personal talents, creativity, and independence. The parent with Ceres in Leo takes care of the child by encouraging a sense of self-confidence. Under stressful aspects, this placement can lead to a feeling of inadequacy over one’s creations, or what one takes pride in. Ceres in Leo feels nurtured when personal efforts are appreciated.Attention, respect, and admiration will make this one feel nurtured. Put on a show for their benefit. Better yet, make them a participant. Leo's motto is "Nothing but the best." It may be expensive sometimes, but that will make Ceres in Leo feel nurtured. If you want to go via a cheaper route to satisfy someone with this placement, do something to make them the center of attention and admiration.Gives a strong life support system with a natural creative energy. Both a love of and a respect for children and nature are found. There is also the ability to work creatively with the hands in such fields as gardening, weaving and pottery. Here are our life squad volunteers, PTA workers and ecology promoters. These people identify nurturance with self-expression. Ideally, the parents will foster in the child a sense of pride, confidence in his / her ability, and an appreciation for the creative efforts of others. These people can nurture others by helping them to express their creativity - thereby making a unique impression upon the outer world. Self-acceptance is based upon one's ability to create and share something he / she takes pride in. The inability to do so may bring self-rejection and lack of self-confidence.

If Pallas is in Capricorn, you are the Warrior Goddess who defends and upholds traditions and the status quo. Your creative intelligence is structured, classical and refined. You protect the assets we have accumulated and created and teach conservation and thrift. You are likely to have talents in the fields of art that require structure combined with strength and beauty. Architect, landscaping, classical arts are all areas where you could excel.
If Pallas is in Taurus, you possess the Wisdom of the Earth and are most concerned with the protection of assets, belongings, objects and traditions. You would choose to protect rather than fight but are a formidable opponent if you are prodded. You use logic, analysis and tradition to solve problems. You possess a sensual grace of movement and an artistic and creative intelligence. Your sense of fairness is based on literal objectives and ownership ideals. Your Warrior Goddess defends the earth, her bounties and her assets. You are likely to have talents in the visual and tactile arts.
⚵ ♈︎ 20° 💖 ⚵  ♐︎ 4°
Pallas in Aries: When it comes to long-term, stable, committed love, you want a partner who will be right there in the foxhole with you -- someone who's strong enough to withstand the ups and downs of the relationship, who can deal with the occasional argument and who can basically weather the storm of life by your side, even if sometimes that storm centers right on your relationship itself. Just make sure that you don't take this too far. You're attracted to active, fiery, headstrong types, people who aren't afraid to get into it every now and again. But sometimes things can get out of hand, and the occasional spat turns into frequent arguments -- and then your loving, committed relationship is more like the battleground itself than like the foxhole where the two of you once huddled together in mutual protection and support. As long as you find a partner who knows the difference between a healthy dose of conflict and an unhealthy one, your long-term relationship should be a source of great strength and interest for you. Courage is also important to you in a lover, and aggressiveness can be a real turn-on for you! The person you end up with long-term will probably pursue you quite boldly.
Pallas in Saggitarius: When you fall in love and make a commitment for the long term, it will probably be with someone very different from you. They may even be from another country and a completely different cultural background, but they will at least have been brought up with different values and beliefs than yours, or in a different socioeconomic background. You're excited by people who present a brand-new way of living or looking at the world -- people who broaden your experience and philosophy just by being who they are. An educated lover is certainly not a must, but that would be another possibility, because in some way, you want your sweetie to broaden your mental horizons. Also, your long-term love will be with someone who demands their own independence and encourages yours. You may not have a traditional relationship in terms of living together, eating dinner together every night, checking in with each other when one of you isn't around and so on; you'll work out a relationship structure that's right for the both of you, and it may be very unorthodox. Freedom, independence and philosophy will always be a part of your relationship, as will adventure and fun.

I wish someone had told me these points earlier, so I’m sharing them with y’all now. Read on and see which thoughts align with how you think and an explanation for why you need to learn to remove yourself from other people’s behavior sometimes.1. When someone does something to annoy or upset me, I often think that it must be because of something I’ve done or a flaw that’s triggering it.There’s such a thing as placing yourself far too much in the centre of other people’s actions and thought processes. Some people behave like jackasses because that is their way. Others lack empathy and don’t consider the impact of their actions. Others act as they do through a lack of boundaries on your side, which they take as a green light to take the piss – that means you’re enabling what someone is inclined to do anyway, not causing. And sometimes people unintentionally eff up but don’t mean you ill harm and regret and apologise. To believe you’re responsible for all that others do to you, is giving yourself too much credit and removing their accountability.Stop internalising every wrong action of others and allowing it to change how you feel about you – unconditional love of self is fundamental to self esteem and healthy relationships. Instead ask: What is it about this person or what’s happening in their lives that they are behaving in this manner?2. People who are loveable and worthy don’t have others treating them badly and taking advantage of their boundaries. You’re effectively saying that bad things happen to bad, unlovable, unworthy people, which is fundamentally untrue. To assume the wrongful actions are intrinsically linked to your value creates a very distorted view of the world and you and in reality, you see examples in life that clearly demonstrate that your belief is unfounded. The reality is that even with some boundaries, others will attempt or manage to do things that cause us to feel bad, however we can lessen the opportunity for it by ensuring that we don’t place ourselves around people or in situations that detract from us by treating ourselves with love, care, trust, and respect. This means opting out or where appropriate taking protective measures.3. If they don’t reciprocate my interest, I wonder what is wrong with me or what I could potentially do to ‘win’ them over. Why does something have to be wrong with you that they’re not interested? It’s impossible for everyone to reciprocate and there could be any number of reasons why they’re not reciprocating and not one of them may be an indication of your ‘flaws’. They may have other things going on, different values, not attracted, involved with someone else, not ready for a relationship, whatever. The point is that it doesn’t have to mean something bad about you and ultimately, just because we feel interested, doesn’t mean that ipso facto it should be returned. Lack of interest means ‘back away from the light and wind your neck in’ – don’t try to sell yourself like a used car salesman. You will devalue yourself in your own eyes by trying to make people see your value. I doubt that you feel interested in every person that shows an interest in you – is that because there is something ‘wrong’ with them?4. In a current or past relationship, even though the other person was doing and being things that were counterproductive to the success of the relationship, I’ve believed the responsibility of the problems in the relationship were mine to bear.Making yourself responsible for the success/failure of the relationship removes the responsibility and accountability from the other person. Take them down off that pedestal you have them on and recognise that making yourself responsible for the unproductive actions of another person will cause you to not only indulge in blame and shame, but to potentially keep going back to ‘fix’ things and try to do the loving and the ‘work’ for the both of you. Fact is that you’re ignoring the real problems that exist and seeing their actions/inaction as a reflection of you – you’re two separate entities and you’re trying to absorb responsibility and take control of the uncontrollable. You can only work at a relationship where you’re both prepared to acknowledge the real issues. If you don’t, you may be trying to ‘fix’ with irrelevant ‘solutions’.5. If a partner cheats on me, I believe it’s because I have failed to meet their needs.People cheat for all sorts of reasons and often it has nothing to do with needs that are not being ‘met’ by the existing partner. It’s often about their own beliefs and values and cheating is like rebelling with a passive aggressive act that undermines the relationship and relieves the itchiness caused by ‘commitment’ and gives them a sense of control. Some people cheat because they can. Let’s imagine you didn’t meet their needs – is that really a legitimate excuse to cheat? Let’s turn it around the other way – In believing what you do, does this mean that if your needs are not met, you’ll be cheating on a partner?6. I’ve been involved with someone who didn’t treat me very well and but I have often wondered what it is that I did wrong. You are assuming that the reason they didn’t treat you well is because you must have done something wrong. In fact, you’re rejecting the base information that they did something wrong in favour of focusing on obsessing about what you did wrong, which causes you to stay invested. However if you spent more energy acknowledging their actions at a very basic level – they treated you poorly – and recognised what that tells you about them, you would see them as a separate entity that has failed to act with love, care, trust, and respect. Fact is, if you want to pin yourself to ‘something’ you’ve done ‘wrong’, say ‘I obviously didn’t choose a great partner as they’re clearly not right for me because they did X,Y,Z, so next time I will endeavour to choose better by addressing any factors that led to this choice’. This is far more empowering than saying ‘There is something wrong with me because they’re an assclown’.7. I’ve been involved with someone who didn’t treat me very well and who I know had not treated others well either but I still wonder what I did wrong and why they can’t be different with me.You’re painting yourself into a corner by still feeling that someone should have made you the exception to their rule of behaviour, a rule, by the way, that you’ve seen in action with others so it’s not even ‘personal’ to you. You have no ‘logical’ reason for this – this is your ego and dodgy beliefs talking. On some level, you believe that your love is better than others love and a key reason for pursuing them making you the exception to the rule is because in being with them in the first place and knowing they’d been the ‘rule’ with others, you believed that it just took the ‘right’ person and the ‘right’ love. You thought it was them failing him/her and you believe that love is about someone making you the exception to their rule of behaviour. Even if it may seem from outward appearances that others think that the sun shines out of the person who mistreated you’s bum, the reality is that you just don’t know the people that they have mistreated. Unless they just fell out the sky into 2021, they haven’t chosen just you to be an assclown to or just this relationship. Don’t get things twisted!8. I believe that when you love someone, if that person has ‘problems’ and basically things that need to change for the relationship to work/me to be happy, that they should want to change.Genuine loving relationships require acceptance. That doesn’t mean you should accept shit behaviour but it does mean that you need to accept them as they are so that you see them in reality and determine whether on that basis the relationship can work. If you’re not acknowledging the problems and what they actually mean about the person’s capability for a healthy, committed relationship, you may get blinded to the danger by the potential you envision for them and your reluctance to acknowledge the truth of their behaviour. You’re also basically saying, ‘If you love me, you’ll change’ and the reality is that people have to change because they want to, not because it suits someone else’s vision of what they could be in a relationship. Often when we expect or even demand change from others, we don’t both share the same vision of the relationship and we have a misguided confidence about their ability to change based on our desire, not based on their capabilities.9. I believe that if I love enough that the problems will no longer exist. You’re assuming that the solution to the problem is love, which means you haven’t assessed the problem in reality. If someone coming along and loving us was all it took for problems to be solved, what a different world we would live in. The fact is, if someone has a problem, especially one that existed before you came along, you are letting your ego run wild in assuming that it’s your love that cures their problems. If you imagine that it’s like they have a disease and they’ve tried other medicines, you believe that you’re the cure they’ve been waiting for. Lack of love is not the problem and if it’s lack of self love they have, it’s like you’re trying to love for the both of you. You also need to recognise that if your idea of love is based on negative beliefs, your basis for being with them will be unhealthy. If you have to think of yourself as being the solution to someone’s problem, your motivations for a relationship and how you perceive your fixing/healing/helping self is a problem. You need to feel needed.10. I am involved with someone or have been involved with others, where I have wanted them to make me the exception to their rule of behaviour. In wanting someone to make you the exception to their rule of behaviour, it means that even though you disregard the rule in favour of trying to get love against the odds, you do actually know the rule. It is important for you to address your beliefs about love, because at the moment, your idea of feeling that someone loves you is if you extract change through difficult and dramatic circumstances. You believe that the route to love involves pain. You want love against the odds and unfortunately, this means you won’t recognise when to fold and have the potential to end up ‘bankrupt’ in your pursuit of the fairytale. Remember that relationship insanity is doing the same things, carrying the same baggage, beliefs, behaviours, and attitudes and choosing same person different package and expecting different results. It’s important to address your inclination to factor yourself into everything and take it as some sort of reflection on you, especially because in doing this, you’re directly impacting your self-esteem and in putting the ‘you’ into everything, you’re likely to devote your energies to the wrong things and find it, for example, difficult to move on from past relationships, to let go of destructive relationships, or may even impact your mental health because you’ll let anger within yourself fester. You’re not an island, you’re not alone, everyone else around you are not ‘saints’, and the reality is that you’re giving yourself far too much credit for other people’s thoughts and behaviour. Fact is, as human’s, we’re inclined to be a tad self-absorbed – we do what ‘works’ for us which means being a Blame Absorber is a futile activity because you’re trying to control the uncontrollable. Take people off the pedestals you place them on as the only place for them to look at you is down and stop being so hard on yourself. Removing yourself from the equation and considering other possibilities adds balance and objectivity, plus it creates individual entities with individual responsibilities. And remember – if you’re going to work at a relationship, go back to one, or actually put yourself in the position of taking real action to make changes, being realistic about the factors that created problems is critical and that can’t happen while you’re playing the blame game with yourself. via /r/dating_advice

You are my Divine Masculine, there is no question. What remains, always, is the growth, self-discovery, awakening. What persists is my Trust in You.
----------------- ☯ -----------------
“When the Masculine meets the true, awakened Feminine, it arouses a new sensation in him, and activates specific levels of consciousness that demand his full attention.
The awakened, whole, conscious Feminine does not act needy or desperate around the Masculine. This does not mean that she does not acknowledge her deep inner desire and sacred requirements for the Masculine presence to be in her life. She knows this better than any woman who has not yet opened up to her full powers and strengths.
The awakened woman knows that the Masculine plays a vital role in her life journey, and has the ability to open her up in ways that she cannot do alone. In essence, she wants the masculine from a searingly profound place in her Soul.
But – this ‘want’ can be put on hold for years and years – decades even – if she is not being met with the kind of Masculine presence and devotion that she needs in order to serve her sacred feminine role.
When the Masculine meets the conscious Feminine vibration, it instantly realizes what is needed. The Masculine energy is stirred deeply and feels a pull on the Soul strings of his lost, dry, and forgotten heart. He realizes that although it is easy to lose himself in the glorious shakti sway of her body and the warmth of her sacred eyes, in order to stand next to her as a totem of divine masculine strength he must rise up in his own life.
Her spiritual energy will cause his own to wake up to itself.
He will become quickly aware that it will not be enough to lazily get what he wants and leave. He will recognize that even if he enters into a relationship with her, that her trust in him will not deepen unless he starts seriously showing up in his own life – and begins to rise like a phoenix towards his Full Purpose.
Her awakened energy will not tolerate the spiritually-sleepy masculine tendencies towards laziness, denial, avoidance, staying in comfort zones, procrastination, cowardice and over-reliance on quick fixes and instant gratification.
Her sacred energy will pull him up out of his coma and avoidance tactics, so that he feels on a visceral level just how potent and transformational loving her could be. He will also feel how loving her – and being a recipient of the healing codes in her body – instigates a firing of the neurons and electrical transmitters in his system, sparking him into awareness of just how much of a man he is required to evolve into.
He realizes that she is the greatest gift that has ever crossed his path. He realizes that he may never have another opportunity like this one to be supported in becoming the best version of himself possible. He is aware that there is no other woman on the planet who could love him like this, and fire up his energy centers into creating the Divine Purpose he has always wanted to live, but has always been too scared to fully commit to.
It is his decision whether or not he is brave enough to take the challenge of loving, and standing next to, a woman who has claimed her place as a sacred feminine warrior and holy chalice of love.
It is really his decision in many ways, because although she will be the one to decide whether or not she wishes to see him again, or let him into her world – she is always doing that based on the quality of truth, assurance, purposefulness and willingness that she receives from him.
When his Higher Self brings him to a Whole Woman, he must sit and contemplate, in order to realize that he has chosen this meeting – because a significant part of him is ready to ascend into being a Whole Man. This is a huge deal, because he most likely has not had any role models of this evolved male energy in his life. He doesn’t have to be faultless, a know-it-all, flashy, or movie star good-looking. He only has to nurture that spark within his precious masculine heart that wants to be the best man he can be. He only has to be willing and humble enough to learn from the Feminine, listen to her responses to his actions, and realize that she is the Divine Oracle for him, showing him where he needs to pull himself up.
His Soul really only wants to declare something like this:
“I want to bathe in the sweet, sacred radiance of your eternal Light for the rest of my days, and remember daily what a gift you are to my Soul.
I want you to be the Sacred Mirror on all the ways that I sabotage myself, deny myself, restrict myself and ‘flunk out’ on myself.
I want to hear that you trust me. I want to show you that your trust is well-judged, and that I realize how your ability to trust me makes a difference in how deeply you can open your body and heart when we are together.
I want to walk into brave new territories, risking rejection and even failure so that your trust in me soars, like a bird in flight. I realize that your sexual attraction to me increases exponentially every time I take a risk to rise into my Divine Masculine power and purpose.
I want to be a pioneer of a new movement of conscious, evolving, willing and open-hearted males, defying the old paradigms and awake enough to walk beside women who are changing the world forever.
I might not remember any of this, much of the time, and I may stumble, fall, collapse or sometimes fail at it. I want only to remember that my willingness to live my Sacred Truth, and my desire to do everything I can to earn your trust, are enough. I want only to remember that if I shut down my heart at the first hint of truth that comes from your mouth, your body language, your expressions – I will not win this game. I want to only remember that you cannot be expected to ‘mother’ me into being a grown-up (if I want to have a sexually vital and transformative love life). I do not want you to be my mother.”
We need manifestors for men of the Light to follow now, because it is vital that they stand up and realize their true worth and value in the advancing New Age. Awake Women do not want to batter men, criticize them, punish them, or shut their hearts and bodies down to them. Whole Women WANT men: their unwavering hard presence, their rock solid actions, their warrior hearts, their dynamic, pursuing energy.
Many Men of the Light are choosing to cross paths with soul-embodied women now. This is because their own Soul recognizes that it is time to rise up into Purpose, and the desire to connect with the embodied Sacred Feminine will ignite that Purpose. A woman who is on the path of Light will not settle for any man, no matter how deeply she has longed for the masculine presence. She has no desire nor energy to rescue, mother, nag or coach a man into loving her.
Yet the awakened woman carries more compassion, more unconditional love, more ability to support and nurture, more generosity and more sexual power than any other. There are limitless, never-ending, eternally-abundant rewards for any man who is courageous enough to risk his heart and life purpose for such a female.
This is the time of the emergent Divine Masculine presence, stepping up to the edge and committing to live from there, rising up to support and protect the Sacred Feminine Mission of Global Awakening.” ॐ ❤
