To perform the exercise recommended by Dr. Fukutsudzi, you will simply need a sports mat and towel.
Here are the steps to follow:
Put the carpet on the ground
Make a large roll with a towel
Lie on your back
Place the towel wrapped behind your back in the lower back (lower back)
Stretch your legs and keep them at the same shoulder width
Point your toes inward
Put your arms over your head and stretch them, place your palms inward
Hold this position for 5 minutes
This exercise should be done 3 times a day for optimal results.
The doctor ensures that although this position may be difficult to achieve in the beginning, it is very effective. Furthermore, it would seem that the complexity of the exercise decreases with practice.

This post highlights that some of the same perceived label-less items of food often associated with standardized measures such as ‘handfuls, halves and slices’ may contain very different calorie values depending on the size. ⁣ ⁣ If one was to track their nutritional intake on a calorie counting app, there may be belief that e.g. 1/2 an avocado is a generic measurement for all avocados. But as this graphic shows, one avocado (or any item of whole food) can greatly fluctuate in size, thus fluctuating it’s nutritional property. Therefore, the calorie value of 1/2 of a small avocado will be significantly lower than that of a large avocado. ⁣ ⁣ Practically, an individual may consume (and log) ‘1/2 a generic avocado’ and the calories generically listed, but actually be consuming significantly more or less calories depending on the size of the avocado they selected. ⁣ ⁣ Based on the differing values in this example, if two people with the same fat loss goal consumed a ‘handful’ of almonds as a daily snack, person A (who consumed 25g) would consume 1050 calories per week from the handful, whilst person B (who consumed 60g) would consume 2555 calories per week from the handful. Thus, ‘handfuls’ can fluctuate. ⁣ ⁣ Measuring food is not essential for everyone’s goal. But in order to appreciate true nutritional values of foods that fluctuate in size, it’s probably a superb idea. Starting weightloss journey
Today I started my WL journey! I'm actually pretty excited and after reading some awesome before and after posts on here I'm actually feeling really motivated.
Due to a few health problems and having to take a high dose of steroids, I put a lot of weight on fast and have since found it hard to lose. I've also had back surgery which made it hard to move AT ALL never mind exercise, and this has also co tributes to my gaining weight.
I knew I was getting bigger and my clothes were tight. I went up two/three dress sizes, but still did nothing about it. I almost didn't want to believe that was happening to me.
I'm ready to change now and I really do want to do so badly. I have a few things planned and I want to be my best self.
I'm hoping to get some support from other people on a similar journey to me on Tumblr and would really really appreciate any tips/tricks.
I'm new to all this. Hoping to lose around 2 stone at first but maybe more if I can achieve that.
I'd love a diet buddy or just someone to share this experience with.
I'm nervous but will post my before pics later tonight. This will hold me accountable and hopefully help me to see results as I compare with other pics in time.
