Tweet Cute was something I definitely needed. Light and cute, with some genuine good moments and depth. I enjoyed Pepper and Jack individually as characters, as their relationship went from acquaintances, to friends, to a relationship. I found the snark and the memes to be good and not the overly mean or eyerolling type!
I actually really liked that by the end of the novel they just were actually deciding to be together. Not only did it feel fresh for a teenager rom-com but it felt realistic. Also PepperJack is a great ship name for two who warred together on opposite sides of the #GreatCheeseWar.
The dynamics between their families and other friends were refreshing and different, and I did sympathize with both struggles of the characters. I loved that any misunderstanding between the two was clearly up extremely quickly because they TALKED to each other and trusted each other. Also, when Pepper was mad and Jack said his grandma was in the hospital so that tweet her mom sent hit home hard and he didn't erase Ethan's tweet, the first thing she did was asked about his grandmother!!! My heart!!
Overall, I really enjoyed it all. It wasn't genre breaking or anything, and it sometimes did feel a little too introspective at times. But I had a good time with it.

so i’ve been reading a lot recently so this is my honest thoughts on the last books i’ve read this month (these have all been some sort of romance and this is just my opinion)
Not here to stay friends, by Kaitlyn Hill:
LOVED THIS BOOK- like the trope, the dual perspective, the make protagonist, it was all exquisite and just a good time. The only thing I didn’t like was how rushed the ending felt. 4/5 read
The Upside of Falling, by Alex Light:
yes, just yes. It was a little predictable at times but I related to some of the characters and I just loved everything about it. Honestly I adore the fake boyfriend trope and this delivered. 4.5/5 read
Tweet Cute, by Emma Lord:
So I started reading this thinking I was going to hate it. Boy was I wrong- I loved the fact the main character realized that if she had communicated everything would’ve been easier. The main characters are amazing and not one dimensional, there’s representation, and it’s easy to visualize people in your life that are like those characters. 5/5 read
The Spanish love deception, by Elena Armas:
Most definitely an acquired tasted. Had high expectation for it and was , to be frank, a little disappointed. Catalina is one of the most obnoxious characters I’ve encountered in a while, girly needs to calm down. Thought I’d love it, didn’t really enjoy it- way too overrated. 2/5 read

RECO OF THE WEEK:
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
Synopsis:
“Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming ― mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account.
Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time.
All’s fair in love and cheese ― that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life ― on an anonymous chat app Jack built.
As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate ― people on the internet are shipping them?? ― their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals can’t ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected.”
