One student’s dog had puppies last week, and another student’s cat had kittens. So today we began class with the Kitten/Puppy Wars as we tried to decide which tiny animals were the cutest. OPINIONS were shared MOST FORCEFULLY. (All small creatures were equally adorable, in the teacher’s opinion).
The blast of adorable baby furballs ALMOST made up for the on-screen delivery of Scatterbrain Boy’s underpants, generously brought to him by his preschool aged sister from the laundry basket. They really don’t cover some of these things in teacher school…
* stares off into space * so in lucy’s verse where she survives being dracula’s thrall , she’s paralyzed with her own helplessness in a way that she’s both familiar and unfamiliar with . she’s alone on her estate , her mother having died the day before she was supposed to .
so she finds the biggest , meanest , most vicious dog from a pit - fighting ring and names him moriarty . and even though this dog is literally just for protection , what happens ?
she loves him . she loves him so much , and it takes time but she can’t do anything but love him wholeheartedly . that approach works and after about three years of work he learns basic commands , knows his name and gets spoiled with treats every night .
lucy tries hard after dracula to make herself stronger in a way that’s unnatural to her . but of course , she sets out to find a guard dog and ends up with a hundred - pound dobermann who just wants to cuddle in her lap and lick her .
More diney saur OCs :) Some other people from the world of my velociraptor sibling MCs--the town sheriff, her curious kid, and a couple of love interests. More details about them to come.
[ID: Three dinosaur characters against a green background. The first is a bust of a yellow T. rex with a darker yellow muzzle and dots under her eyes, along with feathery brown fuzz all along her back. She is wearing a black hat and a shiny, star-shaped gold badge. She glares downward in disdain. A label over her head reads, "Sheriff Hendrix (she/her)." On her back is a juvenile T. rex, entirely covered in white down except for their bright yellow muzzle. They look out from behind her curiously. Their label reads, "Ronnie (they/them)." Below is a full-body drawing of a Microraptor with scraggly black feathers and yellow eyes. Several areas on his tail, leg, neck, and head are almost entirely featherless. He looks toward the viewer with a frown. The text above him reads, "Cassidy (he/him)." Finally, there is a drawing of an Ornithomimus from the chest up. She is mostly covered in shiny, plush dark green feathers, except for her cream-colored, bird-like face. A pair of round glasses rest on her beak, and she glances to the side, alert. Her label reads, "Elise (she/her)." End ID.]
