The one thing that I genuinely find the most irrational about the selection was killing off Celeste and Anne. Even Anne I guess I understand a little, but Celeste..? It couldve been any of the other girls the shock value is all the writer wanted. And so, that annoys me a lot. I am sad about Queen Amberly but the Celeste one just seems like the most selfish thing to write into a book.

there is a fan-made song that SLAPS and I can't find it anywhere where the chorus says:
don't start talking and ruin whatever this is
just tell me you will go away,
but give me one last kiss
take off that tie
i will pull up your shirt
let's just hope this won't be
dirt on the papers
i'm not here to fall in love
i'm not here to find someone
it's fucking GREAT OK and i can't find it anymore so if you recognize and was in The Selection fandom at some point in time PLEASE help me find it.
another part was
pull me closer
kiss me slower
i ain't gonna give in
take me higher
i know you are
better
than that
Help. please. I am desperate

One of the few parts of Wickham's alleged backstory that I find purely comedic is his whole deal about how right before his father died, Darcy's father promised to provide for young Wickham, because he was just so grateful to Wickham's father as well as loving young Wickham so much.
—but in the letter, Darcy (without having heard Wickham's account in this case, beyond what Elizabeth threw at him in the rejection) mentions in passing that Wickham's father outlived his. His father did voluntarily recommend giving Wickham the living in his will, so Wickham isn't lying about that, but the whole dramatic deathbed promise thing is pure theatrics and Wickham's father didn't actually die until after the late Mr Darcy was already dead.
His own father did not long survive mine; and within half a year from these events Mr Wickham wrote to inform me that, having finally resolved against taking orders, he hoped I should not think it unreasonable for him to expect some more immediate pecuniary advantage...

There's a post going around with screenshots from a tweet showing costumes worn by Yuuri and Viktor in the cover art for the Yuri!!! On Ice Select Book. However, the tweet falsely claims they were made for the movie.
So, let's do some debunking!
Here are the reference images from my copy (note the description in the 2nd and 3rd image):
Here's a translation of the costume descriptions in the book. Yes, that's right. They made the costumes exclusively for the book.
This page shows the title of Yuuri and Viktor's programme (Phantom of the Opera).
The costumes have been designed for two adult characters and all the sketches show Yuuri and Viktor as their adult selves as well, not as teenagers.
That's all the debunking I can offer you because there's really no big secret behind it.
If you don't own a copy of the YOI Select Book, it takes only 5 seconds to find all the necessary information about these costumes on google. For example, the YOI Wiki has a page about it as well.
I'm asking you in all kindness to please be careful what information you spread!
Edit: Added two pictures for clarity. Also thanks to @blonndiec for providing additional information in the comments 🩷
I'm not going to reblog the post because I'm loathe to give misinformation a platform, but I guess that most people have already seen it anyway.

"I treat myself like I would my daughter. I brush her hair, wash her laundry, tuck her in goodnight. Most importantly, I feed her. I do not punish her. I do not berate her, leave tears staining her face. I do not leave her alone. I know she deserves more. I know I deserve more."
