Summary: The Five Senses is an anthology series, each chapter will be a stand-alone, independent fic, where passion intertwines with the symphony of our senses, beckoning you into a land of infinite possibilities derived from the way we perceive the world around us.

Yesss! It's gonna be Reggie!

I love Reggie, but I wanted to get a better hand of him as a character before writing my first solo fic for him (even more bc it's smutty). It's still a long way coming, but I have a couple of other surprises on the work for you guys, some featuring Wolfstar with artist!Sirius and others with vampire!Sirius.

By the way, the vampire!Sirius one is already in the works (I've got two chapters ready) but I'm not sure if you guys would like me to upload those and then take a little longer to upload the next few, or if you'd prefer me to finish the fic (I'm thinking five to six chapters total), and then start uploading it so it's weekly released...

The Five Senses

(With Leo :D)

Just a short lil writing exercise with one of my fav boys

Leo looks like a dewy grass field, he looks like red stripes you would see on a wall with graffiti lettering, he looks like the blue ocean with rays of sun shining upon it, he looks like the darkened teal of a swimming pools walls.

Leo smells like the rain, he smells like the salty ocean air that wafts it’s way into your nose when you step foot onto the beach, he smells like the aftermath of a thunderstorm, he smells like nail polish spilt on the floor.

Leo sounds like a busy crowd in the city, he sounds like the sharp blade of an odachi hitting a hard surface, he sounds like buzzing of an alarm, he sounds like the plopping of a bean bag, he sounds like the quick pop and fizz you hear when opening a soda.

Leo feels like the rough surface of the underside of a skateboard, he feels like the dusty pollen of a daisy, he feels like the cold edges of an ice cube, he feels like the crispy edges of a crust.

Leo tastes like pizza (duh), he tastes like the sugary substance of a Sour Patch Kid, he tastes like ice tea cooled just right for a summer morning, he tastes like the juicy flesh of a orange, he tastes like an energy drink.

Well, I started off wanting to do something a little softer, because I want softer stuff but like, it's been a very, very long and heavy last couple months and I suppose that projected a bit more than I was hoping for.

[ 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 ] ― sender reaches out to hold receiver’s hand

It's quiet up here in the attic, somehow the old kaiju movie playing off the VHS Ren picked up a few weeks ago providing only background noise. It should be louder to you, in fact you're pretty sure it is a lot louder than you can hear it right now, but nothing seems as audible as it should.

Which is understandable with how hard things have been lately, not just for you but for Ren too, and all the other Phantom Thieves. It's been a bad week and it's weighing on you, heavily enough that even coming up here to visit him isn't helping the stress-induced disassociation at all.

Death and damage are hard burdens to bear.

You can't help the heavy sigh you let out as you try and find a comfortable position where you sit, which only adds to your frustration. Usually, it is no problem; there's something about this place that radiates a special comfort, even as an attic filled with only second-hand everything, so to not be able to find any is just adding to your foul mood.

But before you can spiral any further into your own blackened mindset, a cool touch on your left palm steals your attention. It jolts you back into reality, where the screams of people watching a giant moth terrorize a city is once again a volume that is quite audible and sitting with your back against your boyfriend on an ancient couch isn't that painful.

Fingers lace between yours as you twist around as far as you comfortably can to look back at Ren, surprised but with only honest curiosity.

It earns you a soft smile, but you can catch something sad lacing his lips and weighing down his cheeks, yet he's still smiling for you. He squeezes your hand a tiny bit while tightening the arm he has relaxing around your waist, something akin to a hug here in the position you're both in.

"I'm here for you too, you know. It's not all on your shoulders, and it won't ever be."

I used to be an animal groomer (from typical pets to exotics)

I also have an incredible sense of smell

And I can tell you from experience that all animals have very different and distinct smells.

Poodles don't smell the same as Yorkies (unless they both have yeast infections, then they both smell like fritos)

A ferret smells very different than a rat. Ants smells different than shield bugs.

Even birds have different smells to them.

I find it rather incredible
