Room 312
Paring: fem!reader x spencer reid
Tumblr media
Word count: 466
Summary: The team ends up in a crappy hotel. Somehow, you and spencer end up sharing a room. With one bed.
It was an exhausting day at solving a case. The team ended up in Canada, in a shitty hotel.
After checking in we sat down in the lobby, deciding our rooms.
“I’ll sleep with JJ?” Emily said.
JJ replied “Sure.”
They walked off to their room leaving just us 5.
“I’ll take Penelope.” Derek said with a wink as he gestured his hand out for hers.
She laughed with a nod and they walked off hand-in-hand.
“I’m sleeping alone so that leaves- you too.” Hotch said before walking off to his room.
“Well I guess it's just us, but I’m starving. Did you bring any snacks?” you ask, wondering if Spence had caught the exhaustion in your tone.
“Oh, yea, of course- um- here.” He said, grabbing a granola bar out of his bag.
“Ooo, thank you.” you said before devouring it into crumbs.
“So tired, let's go to bed.” you say
“Sure, wait- are you sure you aren’t still hungry- I have more granola bars.” He says, gesturing to his bag, definitely filled with granola bars.
“No no no, I’m fine, except, exhaussssted.” you mumble
“Oh- right, sleep time.” he says.
“Wait, which room?”
We walk down the hall, make it to an elevator, and you say
“312.” He mutters quickly.
You make it to your room and are surprised to see there's only one bed.
You quickly make a genius getaway plan.
While brushing your teeth, your mind starts to hit some strange places about your hotel room situation. The sweet boy you have a crush on in your workplace will be sleeping in the same bed as you?
“I'm going to get ready for bed.” you tell him before almost running to the bathroom.
“Oh my god.” you whisper to yourself.
After finishing up in the bathroom, you go back towards the bed. Spencer’s already sitting on the bed, reading.
“Are you okay sleeping on the bed together, I mean- you- or I can sleep on the floor, if that would be better.” he says turning to look at me.
You sit on the bed next to him and tell him, “I’m okay with it, are you?”
“Yes- of course.” he replied softly.
He says while he starts to hold you in his arms, and suddenly you feel so sleepy.
We both got into bed. Why on earth was it suddenly freezing? You are so cold for some reason (You turned down the thermostat).
Your teeth start to chatter, and he starts to pick up on your temperature.
“Hey are you cold- oh my god- I- you’re freezing. Cmere.”
You wrap your leg around him and cuddle into his new yet warm embrace.
He wraps his arm around your waist, and you start to drift asleep, but you're awake enough to feel him softly place a kiss on your forehead, and here, you melt into sleep.

Sweet Date
Pairing: Spencer Reid x gn!reader
Warning: fluff
Summary: drinking hot cocoa in a small Café
Tumblr media
Snow was slowly making its way down to earth. Some fell against the window of the coffee shop you waited in. Some didn’t melt right away which gave you the opportunity to observe and doodle it into your notebook.
You were so focused on drawing you didn’t notice Spencer coming in or how he sat in the chair opposite from you. He ran to the coffee shop all the way from his office. He forgot the time while doing paperwork. And when he looked up he knew he was running late. So he packed his things as fast as he can and ran out of the office.
He stood in the entrance out of breath. With quick eyes he spotted you right next to the big window of the shop. A grin grew on his lips as he saw you deep in your doodles. A muffin was sitting in front of you untouched. Slowly he made his way over to you. Carefully he made his way over and sat down quietly.
You spotted him only as you looked up to stare at the next snowflake. “Oh my god, Spence!” He chuckled before moving so he could kiss your cheek. “I’m sorry. You looked so focused. I couldn’t interrupt your doodling.” Heat rose to your cheeks at his sweet words.
He turned to the front before turning back, “Penelope told me they had great hot chocolate. Should I order two?” You smiled at him. “I’ll come with you.” He held up his hand like he wanted to stop you. “I am late. I should pay. It’s the least I could do.” He stood up and walked over to the register before you could even get a chance to protest against his idea.
After a few minutes of you watching him from afar he came back with two mugs of steaming cocoa. He put one mug down in front of you and sat down after he put his on the table. A hat of whipped cream sat at the top of both cups. Spencer took a sip. A little cream stuck to his nose making you giggle. He looked at you confused. “What?” You leaned over the table with a napkin in your hand. Carefully you wiped off the tip of his nose. “You had a little bit of whipped cream there.”
Spencer’s cheeks painted pink. He looked down at his drink with a small smile on his face. Your own cheeks heat up. He still had the same effect as the first time you met. It was in a park not far from the BAU office. You sat on a bench enjoying your lunch break when Spencer sat beside you on the bench. You doodled in one of the notebooks now standing in his bookshelf. He watched you for more than half an hour before you started to talk to him. He was so shy and awkward to ask about what you were drawing. But in the end it is awkwardness worked in his favour.
“What are you smiling about?” You looked up to see a big grin on your boyfriend’s face. You shook your head, a small grin adorning your lips. “Just thinking back to how we met.” Spencer huffed out a laugh. “Don’t remind me.” You took his hand and squeezed it softly. “Spence, your awkwardness was the think drawing me to you. And it’s why I fall in love with you a little more every day.”
Spencer looked down on the table again. A bashful smile he tried to fight etched its way onto his lips. You giggled softly as you saw him struggle. No matter how often you told him how much you loved him and his little quirks which made him Spencer.

Imagine dating Spencer Reid(specifically dom!spencer) , and also being apart of the BAU team…he’ll grab stuff for you from a top shelf as an excuse to push his crotch against your ass…grabbing your hip so you stay there. Whispering everything he wants to do to you in the small kitchen while subtly forcing you to grind against him….of course this is mainly just slow days in the office, when no one is really around or he wouldn’t be so bold.
Probably ooc but i CANNOT get this out of my head w/him…just him using a height difference to his advantage….

Faux Love, Real Hearts
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Summary: You and Spencer must pose as a couple for a mission. However, one question remains: why does he keep calling you 'love'?
Genre: smut
Warning: talking about a criminal case, making out, fake dating (let me know if I forgot something)
Word Count: 882 words
A/N: As always, any criticism is very welcome. Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes. English is not my first language.
Anyway, enjoy :)
✧ 🎀 -------------------------------------------------------------- 🎀 ✧
You blushed yesterday, you blushed today and you most definitely will blush tomorrow. You simply will never get used to his soft voice whispering: “Sorry, love.”
As he calmly brushes past you. You will never get used to his rough hands brushing against your skin from time to time. You will never get used to his soft backrubs or his light kisses against your forehead. Perhaps it’s better this way. If you’re used to his permanent presence your heart would break into two when this mission ends. When all of this ends. Every day you’re hoping that the mission is continued another day, just to be with him. And for a certain time, it did work; until it didn’t anymore.
For more than a year, you have been working in the Behavioral Unit (BAU) department of the FBI. As an aspiring Agent, you are willing to do anything to save people. The team welcomed you warmly, always helping you where they could since you were the youngest member. You feel safe because you know they will always have your back. Yet nothing could have prepared you for your latest mission. The mission where you and Spencer had to fake a romantic relationship. Spencer was a good boyfriend; a fake one sadly.
This unsub is targeting young couples, so the team decided you and Spencer would be the best ones to fit his victimology. Quickly you move into a fake house that isn’t yours; drive a fake car and act like a fake couple deeply in love with each other.
“Are you ready to go to bed, darling?”, shouted Spencer down from your shared bedroom.
It was a comfortable room with a carpeted floor and a large king-size bed. Oh, how you loved this bed; nevertheless, nothing compares to sleeping beside Spencer. Your sleep quality improving enormously. Maybe Spencer has to do with it...
Without answering you went up, already in your pyjamas ready to get a good night’s sleep in. Today you search through lots of recordings in hopes of finding a lead in the case; Spencer of course helping you, but how could anybody read faster than Reid himself? You collapse onto the bed, feeling utterly exhausted. The slender nerdy boy, with his thick-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, is deeply engrossed in his book. Every now and then, he looks up from his reading, his bright eyes shining with a gentle smile that warms your heart.
“You must be absolutely tired, love.”
“God, yeah,” you laugh awkwardly. A strange silence surrounded them.
“Come here,” he opened his arms gesturing her to come closer.
She found herself in a state of confusion, uncertain of what to do next. As she lay there, she couldn't help but feel drawn towards Reid's comforting presence. She knew that cuddling with him would be unprofessional, but his warm embrace felt like a safe haven that she longed to be in. The conflicting thoughts in her mind left her feeling torn and indecisive, so she stayed where she was.
Since she didn’t come closer, he decided to drew closer to her. His hot breath tickled her neck as he whispered against her ears sending shivers down her spine: "You know we have to act like a real couple, you want to catch this unsub, don’t you?”
She gulped silently. Of course, she wanted to catch this motherfucker who’s been killing around D.C., however, all she could think right now was how close Spencer was and how his hot breath felt amazing against her neck.
“Spencer…,” was the only thing she could whisper back.
His hands grip her waist lovingly, bringing her closer to him.
“Tell me what you want me to do,” he murmured against her hair, kissing the top of her head softly.
Another gulp. Feeling hot all over her body, you tried to think a straight thought, but how can you think rationally when a hot FBI agent's body is nearly pressed against yours? Particularly Spencers hot body.
“Kiss me, Spencer.”
Without a second of hesitation, he crashed his lips against yours. Like a starved man, his kiss was impatient and rough, in contrast to the delicate touch of his hands all over your body. You could feel his warm big hands exploring every inch of your body. Oh, how good it felt.
“Fuck, I wanted to do this since day one,” he cursed against your lips before softly biting them. His tongue teased your lips, wanting to enter your mouth. Gently you open your lips and your and his tongue dance together. His soft lips moved their way down to your jaw, then your neck where they stayed for a bit, nibbling at your flesh. You reached for his curls, gripping them which he responded with a moan.
“If I had to act like this stupid fake couple thing again I would absolutely, do it, just to taste your sweet lips, love.” He smiled against your neck.
“Wait,” you pushed him a bit away from you, “you don’t enjoy this fake dating?”
He took a deep breath. Panic started washing over you. Of course, he wouldn't like your back, what do you think?
"No". His angelic voice brought you back from your negative thoughts: “I would like more if we were dating real.”

Hiii! I absolutely love your writing and I was wondering if you could write something about Spencer reid and reader who have just started dating and they get into their first ever argument and it’s a bit angsty but cute(?) cause he gets all worried while reader is more experienced in the relationship department so she (or gn!reader, your choice) doesn’t worry as much cause she knows it doesn’t mean they’re over? And then he gets all pouty and clingy when they make up cause he hated being far from her sm🫶 I know its very specific and idk weird so its totally okay if you don’t wanna write it but I’d really appreciate it!!!
as an insecure certified lover girl i love this request and i am so sorry it took me so long to get to <3
spencer was not expecting you to leave. to argue, to complain, even to berate, but to leave? the thought the didn’t even cross his mind.
the argument had started over something stupid, probably like a teasing remark that had gone too far, or the fact that he had been nagging you about doing the dishes. he wasn’t sure. all that filled his mind now was the fact that you walked out the door and slammed it behind you. he wasn’t sure where you went to, or if you were coming back.
yet, he was frozen in place. his knees had begun to shake as tears started to well up in his eyes. for a genius, you are really fucking stupid, he thought. he couldn’t believe he blew things with you, already.
you two hadn’t officially been together long. only around 3 months, but had spent much more time together prior to that. he was truly falling for you, something he wasn’t expecting to do. he loved the way you laughed and the way you listened to him. he loved that you were always there to greet him with a wide smile and a tight hug when you he came back from cases. he loved being around you and he loved the positive energy you put out.
and he just ruined all of that over some stupid argument.
spencer was rarely one to be unsure. after all, he is a genius, so there wasn’t many things he didn’t know. but, standing alone in front of his apartment door, he was clueless. should he run after you? should he wait it out? should he start packing up all of the things you’ve left at his apartment over these three months? he didn’t know.
so, like with most things he didn’t know, he was going to research. sure, to the common person googling “what to do after a fight with your girlfriend” would be corny, maybe even a little dumb, but not to spencer. when he couldn’t figure stuff out, he found other sources that could. so that’s what he was trying to do now.
much to spencer’s dismay, he was met with a whole bunch of editorials. not a single academic paper, dissertation, or research project had been conducted on the topic. so, he took what he could get and began reading over the newest People Magazine article titled “steps to making your girlfriend happy after being a bad boyfriend”.
he wasn’t sure how long he’d been reading, or how many different pop culture magazine websites he’d accidentally signed up for on his old desktop by the time his phone rang. it startled him, but he moved quickly to get it, assuming it was hotch calling him to come in for a case.
his heart sped up but his stomach dropped when he saw your first name, with the little otter emoji next to it. you had picked it, spencer didn’t even know there was an otter emoji.
his thumb slid over the answer button as quickly as he could move it, but once he brought the phone up to his ear, spencer couldn’t find any words.
the line was silent for a minute. you weren’t sure if he was even breathing on the other side. you wanted to give yourself time to cool off, separate from spencer. his little remark about your poor cooking skills had gotten to you, and you didn’t want it to become a massive argument. you didn’t know that spencer had spiraled after you left.
“are you going to come over or what?” you couldn’t help but let the residual anger you were holding slip out. despite this, spencer’s breath caught in his throat. you heard him take a deep exhale before saying, “you want me to come over?”
the desperation in his voice was so apparent, it broke your heart. any anger you were holding onto, or any bitterness about the comment he made completely wiped away when you heard spencer’s voice. you guessed that he had probably been crying. you softened your tone, and spoke slowly as you answered him, “of course i want you to come over, spence. we don’t get to have two sleepovers in a row very often.”
spencer’s hand was shaking as he listened to your words. he thought for sure you were going to break up with him. all he said was, “i’m on my way.” before hanging up.
you shouldn’t have been surprised at spencer throwing himself in your arms when you opened the door for him. he always craved physical touch, despite his fear of germs. he knew you and he cherished you, and all he wanted was to be close to you.
your hand snaked around his back as he buried his head in your shoulder. you tried to pretend you couldn’t feel the tears escaping from him. he wasn’t sobbing, there was just other way for him to have the emotional release he needed than to allow his tears to fall. your hand rubbed lovingly over his back, letting him adjust to being back with you.
“i’m so sorry,” he muttered against you. his hands were balled up between you two and you could feel him nervously squeezing his fists tighter. “spencer, it’s okay,” you assured.
you pulled away from him, only to wipe his tears away and move his hair out of his face. despite his height, he looked so tiny and vulnerable. “i didn’t mean to upset you,” he whined. “it’s okay,” you repeated, grabbing his hand to move him to the sofa.
you sat across from him, but he stared at the floor. “i thought you were breaking up with me,” he muttered. his voice was quiet and gentle. you couldn’t help but laugh at his statement. “why would i do that?” you moved closer to him, tucking his hair behind his ear to get him to look at you. “i-i don’t know! you just left and you were angry and i thought you weren’t coming back,” tears were filling up his eyes again as he finally met your gaze.
“spence,” you cooed, “couples fight and sometimes they need space. a little argument like that is nothing. we’re okay,” you promised him. he nodded, then reached out to pull you into his chest. “i don’t like when you storm out like that,” he said. “‘m sorry,” you mumbled against him. he just nodded and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.

red lips and rosy cheeks, a criminal minds imagine
Tumblr media
pairings: fem!reader x bau!team (platonically of course) and fem!reader x spencer reid (if you squint a little)
word count: 800ish
warnings: none i think. no use of y/n because i don’t really vibe with that. no angst, a little fluff, maybe? it’s mostly just funny i think. also not beta-read, or like we say in ao3, no beta we die like men.
author’s note: i have been binge-watching criminal minds for a couple weeks now and of course i’m obsessed with it, and this visual of spencer becoming a little flustered over seeing his crush all dressed up popped into my mind. it’s my first time writing an imagine with the reader as the main piece in the story, so idk be gentle with me? i also never wrote for criminal minds and i’m only in season 4. i just wrote this instead of sleeping or actually writing my other fics. sorry if this is terrible anyway. i’m open to feedback! thanks for reading <3
Working for the FBI could be a handful, sometimes, but the job had its benefits. You could catch criminals and help people, make a difference, you know? But something you would never expect to count as a benefit was the possibility of being called in the middle of a date.
You didn’t even want to go on that date, but your long-time friend Emma had insisted she knew a guy that would be perfect for you. Emma knew you since you both were undergraduates working on their degrees, so you had figured it wouldn’t hurt to give the guy a chance.
It wasn’t your best moment.
Not that the guy turned out to be a psychopath or something like that. But the ice of your drink had barely started to melt when it became clear that Sean wasn’t the guy for you, and by the end of your martini, you could see that Sean was too self-centered and trying too hard to be something he was not, with the fake watch and the well-pressed but clearly cheap suit and exaggerated tales of his life. An hour into the date and you were begging to the universe to offer you a way out of that bar.
Thankfully the universe seemed to listen to your plea, and you let out a relieved sigh when you saw Garcia’s name on the screen as the phone rang. Apparently, Hotch wanted everyone at the office right that moment.
That hurry was what prompted you to go into the BAU headquarters straight from your date, thinking that a stop by your apartment to change would take too much time and that you could take the clothes out of your go bag and change out of your outfit once you got there.
“Hey there.” you greeted as you walked into the bullpen. “Is everyone here yet?”
“Rossi and Prentiss are on their way.” Morgan said from his desk. “Wonder boy is getting coffee.”
“Oh, okay.” you mumbled, moving to take off your coat and wondering if you would have time to wipe off the red lipstick before the briefing.
“Damn, pretty girl.” you heard Morgan say, that suggestive tone in his voice that annoyed the life out of you. “Did we interrupt something?”
“Only the most boring date I have ever been on.” you scoffed, nervously fixing your dress. It wasn’t inappropriate or something, just very different from what you used to wear. It had been Emma’s idea, actually, to pair that black sleeveless dress with knee-high boots. “He spent the entire time talking about himself.” you rolled your eyes.
“Oh, look at you!” Garcia exclaimed as she got into the bullpen. “You look like a million bucks, darling.”
“Thank you, Pen.” you said. “What’s the case about?”
“A woman went missing in Indiana this morning in the same way three more disappeared in the last month before they were found dead.” JJ told, walking out of her office. “Oh, hot date tonight?” she asked.
“Disappointing, actually.” you laughed. “Can we not talk about it?”
“Talk about what?” you heard Spencer’s voice from behind Penelope.
“About her date.” Garcia said. Spencer joined them as they all stood near your desk, two coffee mugs in his hands. His messy hair was the first thing you noticed, looking like he had been dragged out of his bed. He handed you the second coffee mug, the one with little cartoon kittens stamped on it, then his eyes really focused on you.
“Oh, thank you.” you mumbled, taking a sip of it.
“I– yeah, I…” he stammered, eyes moving up and down, up and down.
“Are you alright, Doc?” you asked, using the nickname you had given him a few weeks into working together.
“Ooh, I think you broke pretty boy.” Morgan laughed.
“It’s probably the red lipstick.” Garcia pointed out, joining Derek in his laughs. You waited for one of Spencer’s famous info-dumps, where he would talk about how red lipstick used to be made out of crushed beetles in Ancient Egypt or something, but he was still silent, lips parted like he meant to say something but couldn’t figure out what.
“Do you need me to reset you or something?” you were now having a bit of fun with it. It wasn’t like you were trying to be mean, but both of you had been dancing around unspoken feelings for a while now.
“I… you look pretty.” Spencer finally managed to say.
You put the mug to your lips, trying to hide the blood that was rushing to your cheeks as Morgan whistled.
“Go on, wonder boy.”
“Derek? Shut up.” then, you looked at Spencer again, who was timidly smiling at you.“Thanks.” you mumbled.
Spencer looked at the mug on your hands, focusing on the stain of your lipstick on the rim of the mug.
“Uh, did you know that the first known red lipsticks were created by crushing gemstones in Mesopotamia over 5.000 years ago?”

making spencer read pop culture pieces like the entire twilight saga would be hilarious
it’s 3 am and you wake up to the sound of sobbing in the living room. panic makes you jump out of bed and rush to see what’s going on thinking something bad happened. but all you find is spencer with his lil reading lamp, huge bags under his eyes and his cheeks all wet from crying
“sorry i didn’t wanna wake you up, it’s just-“
“-it’s okay”
“they-“
“i know”
the sequence repeats itself other two or three times. and after every chapter he sits down and voices his likes and dislikes.
“why would he glisten in the sun”
“it’s fiction, babe, why wouldn’t he glisten in the sun”
he HATES how different the concept of a vampire is compared to the original Dracula tale. literally won’t shut up about it he’s so annoying.

“I love you” You said to her.
“No” Garcia’s jaws dropped and her eyes winded.
“Yep”
“You gotta be kidding me? They said that to you?” Penny was waving her hands around couldn’t believe it.
“I’m not kidding. They actually said that.” You nodded.
“What did you say?” She asked.
“What do you think? I laughed.”
“You laughed?!” She said shocked and loud.
“Yeah well, I couldn’t just run out of there. I made an awkward situation less awkward.”
“I don’t think that’s what you did.” She shook her head.
“What would you do when someone says, ‘I love you’ in the middle of the third date?”  You asked her raising your eyebrows.
“I don’t know no one ever said that to me.”
“Exactly! So don’t act like you’re on a high horse.” You huffed and put your head on your desk.
Penelope rubbed your back “Oh honey.” Just then Morgan and Reid get off the elevator and made their way to their desks. But stopped when they saw Garcia rubbing your back and you resting your head on the desk.
“What’s happening here?” Morgan ask Garcia.
“It’s ……” before she could get a word out you wiped your head and looked at the man in front of you.
“It’s nothing.” You answered quickly.
Morgan and Reid shared a look then look back at you.
“It doesn’t look like nothing.” Reid pointed out “You seems upset.”
“Well…..” Penelope tried to say but you cut her off again “It’s stomach problems no worries.”
You and Garcia smiled at the pair in front of you and Morgan raised his eyebrow “Are you sure?”
You nodded and dragged Garcia by her arm “We’re just going to get some tea.”
Once in the kitchen you huffed “You can’t tell anyone what I just told you.”
“I didn’t know I can’t tell anyone when you told me. That’s not fair.” She whined.
“Nobody can know.”
“Nobody can know what?” you heard Rossi’s voice behind you.

I'll protect you
Fem!reader x spencer reid
Tumblr media
Word count: 661
Summary: The BAU goes to a bar to unwind after a hard case. You get some unwanted attention to which Spencer immediately comes to your defense.
Everyone arrives at the bar, we pick a table close to the back so we can talk.
“I can’t believe it took us that long.” Emily states.
“Yeah, I mean- the husband. He was right under our noses the entire time.” Derek responds.
“At least we caught the guy.” you say, trying to lighten the mood “wanna go dance?” you ask.
Both JJ and Emily agree, so you walk up to the dancefloor and start swaying. You laugh at each others stupid dance moves and funny faces until,
“I have to go to the bathroom- I’ll be right back.” JJ says. Emily had already gone to buy us drinks, so it was just you. It’s fine, pretty crowded anyway. A man approaches you and asks,
“Oh come on- one drink ain’t gonna hurt you.” He starts and you reluctantly respond with,
“Hey there little lady, why don’t I buy you a drink?” You quickly reply with, “No, thanks though.”
“No, thank you.”
“I didn’t say that was an option.” He growls, moving closer. Suddenly, he grabs your ass. You're about to push him off when someone already does that for you. It's Spencer.
“Get your hands off her and leave her alone.” He blazes at the man.
“Woah woah woah, calm down- I was just having a little fun!” The man responds while winking at you.
“She said no, you didn’t listen so get the fuck out of here. Now.” He snarls at the man.
“Fuck you man! FUCK YOU!” The man shouts before barely walking to the bar in a straight line. JJ and Emily walk up after hearing the commotion and quickly run up to comfort you. Spencer was still following the man, I saw him show his badge, then the guy hurried off. You start to tear up. Spencer walks over to you and asks,
“I’m so sorry, are you okay?”
“Yea- it’s fine.” you reply while wrapping him into a big hug. He returns the favor, and you stay like this for a minute or two.
The three of them sit you down and explain the situation to the rest of the team. Everybody is pissed. Spencer offers to take you home, to which you agree.
In his car we start the drive, and he asks, “Are you really okay? You didn’t deserve any of that.” He continued, “I told the bartender about the guy. He said he’d make sure he never goes in the bar again.”
“Thank you, spence.” you reply.
“Answer my question, are you okay?” He asks.
“Not really- I just feel gross.” You answer.
“I’m so sorry- is there anything I can do?” He questions you carefully.
“This may be a bit much, but- would you mind staying the night with me?” You mutter back.
The last thing you want is to be alone.
“Of course.” He smiles back.
Back at my place, you walk up to your room and get ready for bed. Once you're ready, you grab Spencer and take him to the room.
“Do you have spare blankets and pillows?” He asks.
“For what?” you respond, confused.
“Well, you only have one bed so I’m assuming that I’m sleeping on the floor.” He murmurs back.
“Oh- it’s up to you. I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable. Thank you again for staying the night.” You tell him.
“Oh um, okay. No problem, I’d do this for you anytime.” He replies while smiling.
You smile back and thank him for standing up for you in the bar as well. He smiles and waves it off as nothing but a necessity.
He chooses to sleep in bed with you. He ends up laying on his back, arm stretched out. You're laying on that arm until he wraps it around you.
“Goodnight.” You whisper.
“Goodnight, just know I will always be here to protect you, no matter what. I love you.” He whispers back.
You couldn't be more grateful for him.

CW: fingering, a tiny bit of exhibition over the phone (nobody finds out though), can be dom Spencer but I think he’s just happy to be with you
Imagine you and Spencer are having a lazy day on the couch together, just the two of you watching some documentary he wanted to see. Eventually whatever is on the TV is long forgotten, and it’s just you and Spencer making out on the couch.
Things progressively get more and more heated, you can’t be bothered to move to the bed and begin undressing right then and there. You’re on the couch with absolutely nothing on while he’s prepping you with his amazing hands when suddenly his phone rings.
It’s Luke. With his other hand he goes to answer it and you’re about to move away when he shakes his head no. Intrigued, you let him keep going, trying your best to not make any noise while he keeps making you feel so good, it’s like he’s trying to make you scream his name.
It turns out Luke is playing an online chess game against an old friend, they picked it out of boredom even though Luke has no idea how to play chess. He called Spencer to help him walk through the game, at one point he asks to FaceTime but Spencer just says he has no idea how to just do it can stay a normal phone call.
Luke ends up receiving a strange amount of praise from Spencer during the game but he doesn’t question it 👀.

the cold hallways of the university building aren't as big and intimidating as he remembered. and this time, they welcomed him with open arms. he was just a kid when he first set foot here, and now here he was, being invited by a member of his team to teach the young minds of college kids.
spencer reid had never been a great public speaker, sure, he had the qualities of one, but he was also known to ramble on and on about a specific subject if he was interested enough in it, most likely overwhelming and quite often scaring the class attendees.
he followed dr. blake through the crowded halls, she'd invited him along to one of her lectures, she needed someone with vast knowledge about, -well, everything-, and a quick mind, and he was the perfect addition to her classes.
it was weird, being on the other side of the lecture hall, with dozens of eyes set on him as he spoke, he wasn't nervous per se, more... aware of the situation. but luckily the students were focused, paid attention and asked good questions. he considered that a win in his book. without noticing, the 90 minute class was over, and he approached blake after gathering his things and crossing his signature leather bag over his shoulder.
"ready to head back?" he asked.
"not quite, there's a friend of mine giving a lecture next door, it's her first class, actually. thought we'd stop by for a bit, wish her good luck." she said, sliding her black blazer back on.
"sure, what's it about?"
"you'll see. i think you'll enjoy it." she gave him a sly smile, making her way up the steps, he stood there for a second, wondering what the subject might be. there were a lot of things that he enjoyed, physics, math, science.
spencer caught up to her just as she opened the door to the other lecture hall, sliding in behind alex as his eyes adjusted to the change of lighting. compared to the room they'd just left, this felt nothing like a classroom. it felt more like a theater.
the lights were off, the room being lit up by fake candles lining both sets of steps on each side of the room, and he noticed real candles on the front stage, the flames dancing with the subtle change of pressure as a girl, maybe as young as he was, walked on stage. a book in her hand, but she didn't need it, whatever she was saying was from memory, the worlds flowing effortlessly out her mouth.
he stood frozen in his spot, it took him two seconds to recognize and figure out what was going on.
"lines fall on the soul like dew on the grass. what does it matter that i couldn’t keep her. the night is fractured and she is not with me." she recited, eyes closed as she stopped walking, even from his spot at the top of the steps he could see her facial expression, a frown on her face as her eyebrows furrowed, lips pursed as if she was the one feeling the pain the author was describing.
neruda. poetry.
spencer had never been the biggest fan of poetry, but maybe he just hadn't found the right person to teach him about it.
what an incredulous thought, someone teaching a subject to genius spencer reid? but he couldn't help but be drawn to the soft voice that spoke with love, sorrow and rhythm.
"my voice tried to find the breeze to reach her. another’s kisses on her, like my kisses. her voice, her bright body, infinite eyes."
she was savoring each word in her tongue, and spencer's ears perked up at every sound that left her mouth.
"wonder boy, come on," alex's whisper brought him out of his thoughts, as he followed her down the candlelit steps to one of the first rows.
how he wished he could've stayed up there, hidden within the shadows, since he couldn't take two steps without his eyes having to find the young lecturer again, slowing down his legs.
but from down there he noticed the way the candles lit her face, casting a soft golden glow, and now he found himself thanking the small flames scattered around the stage.
she threw the two fbi agents a look, a knowing gleam in her eye as she recognized the female doctor. it was fleeting, she didn’t let the interaction distract her from the verses and the words slipping from her lips.
“loving is so short, forgetting is so long,” she breathed the words, barely audible as she felt every syllable in every bone of her body.
as she finished the poem, deafening silence fell upon the room, and spencer realized how quiet the room had been since he arrived, yet her soft voice seemed to fill it effortlessly.
“has anyone here ever felt emotions as strong as the ones depicted in the poem? joy, sadness, anger?” she asked, somehow leaving aside the ‘character’ she’d slipped into as she recited the words written by neruda. “love? has anyone ever experienced this… deep, unshakeable need to absolutely possess someone? to keep them all for your own, locked in a room to look, touch, admire as much as you wish?” she continued, eyes scanning the room, and spencer’s breathing hitched when she placed her eyes on him. “i know how it sounds like, but- poetry and language, is quite possibly the best way to express those intense feelings.”
“what about sex?” a voice from the crowd asked.
“that’s a great way too,” she nodded, laughing along with the class, “but have you ever stood in front of a girl, a boy, a person you truly feel like you’d die for, and told them exactly that? how just the touch of their hand holding someone else’s would rip your soul out of your body, or how you’d swim oceans just to get to hear their laugh one last time? i don’t know about you, but i feel like that’s a hundred times better than sex.” she continued, walking from one side of the stage to the other, using her hands and changing the tone in her voice to emphasize what she wanted to say. “i promise you that by the end of this semester you’ll be able to put all of that into your own words. read, everyone. please, read and do your research, and i promise you that you’ll get your chance to be neruda, dickinson. anybody can be a poet. poetry is about feelings, thoughts, the things that keep you up at night, and being able to put all of that into words. read, even if you don’t understand what they’re saying, but think about what they want to say. i know it’s our first class but i’ll leave you some work for friday. just pick a poem, learn it and present it here, i want to see what we’re working with. that’s it for today, thank you.” she vowed her head like an actor who’d just finished a play, walking around the stage as she blew the candles off.
“come on, let’s go say hi,” alex stood up, prompting spencer to do the same, and he had to swallow the feelings inside of him. his mind repeating every word the girl onstage had just said. he knew the importance of poetry, he had a few favorite poets, and he knew about all the hard technical work that was behind writing a good poem, but he’d never taken the time to think about the personal aspect of the work.
“dr. blake, great to see you here,” she greeted the older woman, who embraced her in a hug.
“you too. you were great there, no one would’ve thought it was your first time teaching,”
“well, what can i say, i learned everything from you.”
“please, our fields are as far apart as they could be. it’s all thanks to that big brain of yours. which, speaking of, meet dr. spencer reid, we work together.” alex stepped aside, revealing a tall man, hands fidgeting with his leather bag and long strands of hair covering his forehead. alex always had a soft spot for spencer, the young genius reminded her of herself, once upon a time.
“pleasure to meet you, dr. reid,” the young girl smiled at him, offering her hand.
“likewise,” he said, taking her hand in his. alex’s eyebrows raised, she’d been expecting a speech about germs and pathogens but got none.
“so, what’d you think? was it too much? think i scared the kids?”
“today’s youth doesn’t take things too seriously, they prefer one night stands and lack of commitment.” spencer explained.
“think i’m reaching for the stars for trying to get them to channel their emotions and actually feel them?” the young professor asked him, a smile on her face told him that she’d already thought about that.
“not necessarily, studies have proven that people who can feel and acknowledge their emotions are happier, live longer and have better relationships with themselves and others. also, they have more confidence in themselves and can make lasting relationships, but physical and emotional.” he continued, and this time dr. blake spoke.
“so if you do your job right you’ll get lots of people laid,”
“ah, if only i could make that work for me,” she replied, heat creeping onto her cheeks as she looked down. her words made spencer stop breathing.
“i’m sure someone with your wits and… well, you could get anyone you want,” the words slipped out before he could control them.
“sounds easier said than done, but i’ve decided to devote my life to my work and books, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone coming anytime soon to change that. i’m alright with that, life is more than that.” she shrugged her shoulder.
“not enjoyment, and not sorrow, is our destined end or way; but to act, that each tomorrow find us farther than today.” spencer recalled from memory.
“you speak my language, doctor,” the young professor breathed. and the older woman took the opportunity to interfere.
“like i said, genius. you two should talk, he’s got a very interesting brain that i’m sure you’d love to pick,” she reached toward her friend, wrapping her in a quick hug, “i’ll meet you out there, reid, i have a few things to do.” with that she walked out of the lecture hall, leaving the two young brilliant minds together.
“sorry about her, she’s been trying to set me up with someone since we met. i was her t.a back when i was a grad student.”
“you worked with her?” spencer asked, internally rolling his eyes at himself, she’d obviously just stated that.
“yup. i know, how could someone go from linguistics applied in criminology to poetry? it’s a big leap, but… she’s helped me more than anyone in my entire career.” she spoke with fondness in her voice. “anyway, she was right. i would love to pick that brain of yours.” she said, “sorry, that sounded weird, but-”
“no, no, it’s- fine. i- i’d like to talk to you, more, as well.”
“it’s a date, then.” she smiled, even wider when she noticed the slight blush creeping on his cheeks,
“if only i could recollect it, such a day of days. i let it come and go as traceless as a thaw of bygone snow; it seemed to mean so little, meant so much-” spencer started, the words taking over his mind and mouth before he could even think about it.
“if only now i could recall that touch, first touch of a hand in hand- did one but know,” she finished for him.
“i-i,” he started, surprising himself by the way he stuttered. “i don't speak your language, not like you do, not yet. i'm not a poet. but… i want to learn… i want to.”
she breathed out, all the air leaving her lungs, his wild eyes scanned all over her face, not profiling. but learning, taking in her cues, and a pressure left his shoulders when she saw her lips twitching, breaking for a smile.
“i may be the writer, but you'll always be the words.” she took a step toward him, his eyes settling for her own, it helped him calm down. “it's like i said, anybody can be a poet.”
“i-i’ll see you friday?” he said.
“friday?” she raised her eyebrows.
“yeah, you-you said you had to see what you're working with?”
“i do.” she nodded, a playful gleam in her eyes, “i guess i’ll see you friday. we can get coffee, before coming here.” she suggested.
“is that special treatment, professor?” one more time, he surprised himself by the way he spoke to her, like it was the most natural thing to do. we wished it never stopped, he wanted to hear her amused laugh again.
“maybe.” she bit her lip as she laughed.

✧ 🎀 -------------------------------------------------------------- 🎀 ✧
The building was huge. The dull grey walls ran through the whole building, seeming to never stop. You could easily get lost in one of the many departments of the FBI. An outsider would declare this building old and labyrinthine. However, for you, it was home or the closest place to one. Of course, you only have limited access as you’re just a trainee. You could only get inside the school side of the building, but you only needed the library to feel safe. Every possible minute of your free time you spend there. Being surrounded by piles of thick complicated books, trying to study every field of knowledge that exists.
The sternmost part of the library was your favorite. Nobody was there and you could enjoy your peaceful solitude. This was also the part where unsolved closed cases were located. Reading through them, trying to find a repeating pattern, and making an accurate profile. Hoping the police can then find a suspect that fits the criteria. With this method, you have quite a success and solved relatively a lot of cases. That is actually how you got into the special program of the FBI. It all started when you were solving a case of strange murders your local police couldn’t solve. It turned out the priest took justice a bit too personally. You analyzed the victimology of the murders and started to make a profile. The police just needed forensic evidence, which luckily was found quickly.
As you were nearly done with your profile on a murder case, in deep focus, someone disturbed your beloved peace.
“You know sitting on the ground could raise your potential of getting sick by over 18%.” A shy voice stated.
Letting out a breath, you snapped your head around just to see a guy with long blond curly hair. You lowered your glance a bit and saw his ID Card. Your eyes shot open. You're on your feet within a few seconds. “This can’t be true, can it?” you thought.
“You’re Dr. Spencer Reid!”, you said, a bit too enthusiastic.
He backed up a bit, startled by your elation. He hesitantly nods his head. Of course, you heard of him, like everybody did. Maybe you liked him a bit too much, like not everybody did.
He worked at the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI and was also a professor at the academy. One of his most impressive traits was undoubtedly his intelligence. It was hard not to be impressed by the breadth and depth of his knowledge, which set him apart from others. You would often hear amazing stories about how his mind solved cases. He was incredibly skilled at what he did and a huge role model for many, also for you. Working with him was always a dream for many and again of course you dream about it too, maybe even more than others. “Suddenly, you remember your position. You’re a forensics student and he was an agent, even a doctor to begin with. Another point would be that you had a crush and didn’t want to scare him away.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I was too excited,” you slowly admitted, locking down.
Embarrassment was written across your chubby face. He took a step closer, gaining confidence. He smelled incredible, masculine yet fresh and pine. Just like you imagined.
“I see you’re trying to solve the “Lucifer Case” and have you gotten any further with it?”, he asked, trying to break the awkwardness.
You look into his eyes, trying to read him. Confused why he would show any interest in you, you try to find out any motive by analyzing his body language, but you can’t find anything too convincing. A moment later he was standing beside you, looking through the files spread around you on the floor.
“I was just about to finish my profile before you interrupted, Doctor Reid”, you told him quietly. Your shyness got the best of you.
“Oh, please call me Spencer, Y/N”, he responded promptly, “and I apologize for interrupting you.”
Your cheeks heated up. Looking at him shocked, he looked back smiling. Too astounded to notice that he had called you by your name, which you hadn’t told him yet.
“Wait, how do you know my name?”, she questioned him embarrassingly late.
His smile got bigger. Even though he was close before, he reduced their distance some more. Now your back was pressing against the bookshelf, unable to escape his intense gaze.
“Your reputation precedes you, Miss Y/L/N.” he hushed seductively.
You swallowed hard, staying quiet. “What could this mean?”, you thought to yourself. Everybody in the study facility always said Spencer Reid was a shy nerd, but now you’re standing in the library with him towering over you.
“I was very impressed by your profile of the Cryptic Puzzle Killings,” he whispered into your ear, “it was a genius profile.” His voice was sending shivers down your spine.
“Doctor Reid,” you stuttered, but then interrupted you.
“it’s Spencer, remember?” You couldn’t think straight anymore. “I was holding back too long, I couldn’t resist any longer Y/N, please forgive me for my bad-mannered roughness,” he muttered as his lip brushed faintly over your neck. This was the moment your breath stopped. Am I dreaming?
“Tell me if you want to stop,” he muttered as he placed sloppy kisses around my neck.
“No, don’t stop.” That was the only thing you could say; his hands feeling too good on you. How he griped your hips pressing your hips more into his clothed erection. Feeling his touch like hot burns all over your body.
“I needed to use this opportunity,” he breathed .
As you wanted to reply to his confession, all of a sudden, another voice was calling for Spencer.  Your cheeks flushed even more at the thought of getting caught with Spencer at this situation.
“Spencer, I said I would talk to her!” A stern voice was speaking with such authority.
Spencer quickly stepped back, taking all his warmth with him. You were looking around, overwhelmed with the situation, trying to figure out what was happening. Still feeling hot after your heated situation with Dr. Reid. Spencer was now around two meters apart from you, smiling at you shyly. His duality will kill you someday.
“Hotch I am here,” he quickly yelled back.
Whispering a quick apology to you before the tall black-haired guy showed up before us. His firm eyes looked into yours. He was standing in front of you with a straight face. Frankly, he seemed like a strict guy who didn’t understand any jokes. You’re starting to get the feeling that you did something bad. Your mouth got dry.
“Are you Y/N/Y/L/N?” the man asked you.
You nodded your head skeptically. Unsure of what consequences it might bring.
“I am Aaron Hotch, Supervisory Special Agent and Unit Chief of the BAU,” he continued, “And I am asking you Y/N to join the team of the BAU.”
Your head began to spin.
