My theory for Kitty’s death:

Historically, pineapples were used as decor to show that you have money, as they were very expensive.

And, in ‘The Thomas Thorne Affair’ (S2E4) Kitty says ‘Pineapple?! Goddess, no. They were wealthy, but they weren’t royalty.’

And in ‘Something to Share?’ (S3E5) we see her sister purposely get Kitty in trouble by moving her mothers bust so she knocks it over.

Then, in the season five trailer we see a pineapple on a stand, being focused on.

So my theory is: Kitty’s family had a pineapple on display as they were rich and wanted to show it. Awhile after it had been purchased, Eleanor tricks Kitty into eating the pineapple with the intention of getting her in trouble, as they ate an expensive bragging item. But as it was old she gets food poisoning which results in her death. (A pineapple allergy or chocking could also happen.)

Often, fruit is drawn fresh and bright in color. It's often portrayed as a 'fresh and bountiful start' or 'fruition'.

In the KH game and fan art's we often see Sora, Kairi or Riku sharing their Paoupou fruit with Sora. To me it looked super fresh and not even ripe yet!

Maybe it is the curse of of the Paoupou fruit not being ripe and the state is actually sour and gross. Maybe that's why Sora cant get a break, lol.

Anyways, like I said. I've seen plenty of fresh Paoupou fruit included in drawings but have you seen rotten Paoupou fruit?

After the last chapter of Keys, I kept thinking about that Paoupou fruit that our destiny trio had shared before- well what will be coming for us poor readers of Keys- Like if they had finished the fruit or if they got distracted and never finished the fruit or just- what if it just slowly rotted away in the shoreline of destiny islands?

I'm super glad that Sora got to reunite with his mom, how bitter-sweet it was and that look on Sora's face in your latest Keys art piece was just a checking heartthrob for some reason.

Anyways miss Jen, I am looking forward to the next chapter of Keys!

Rotten Fruit (April 16, 2024)

Opening the fridge I see, there in the back corner a sticky substance.

Something that was once bright and sweet

Melting and oozing of spores and alien life

I want to pick it up with my bare hands and feel the sensation of the sticky mess and the mold slowly encroaching on my hands.

I want to destroy the thing and pretend it never existed.

But still, I leave it to rot.

Because if I close the fridge the thing is gone and there is no mold on my hands.

As if none of that was real.

But eventually, I'll have to clean it out

and the stain from the monster in the back will forever be engraved in the cheap plastic that shelves other foods to come.

That day isn't today so the fridge remains closed and the low hum of the fridge fades as I walk away from the thought of the rotten fruit
