fluff ! emotional ! teasing ! mentions of sex !
paul loves to tease you, even when you're carrying his pups
Tumblr media
rubbing a hand over your back, you tried not to fall flat on your face as you got up to go to the bathroom for the fifth time that night.
you were starting to seriously regretting being pregnant. despite it being seven months, you were sick of carrying around a giant stomach and a baby that loved kicking.
"baby," pauls voice pulled you out of your thoughts as you climbed back into bed. "stop getting up, i can't sleep when you're up all hours of the night."
you huffed, "i wouldn't be getting up if someone could keep their hands to himself." you rolled away from him and crossed your arms.
"oh baby, c'mon," he kissed down your shoulder. "you know you were the one begging me to put a baby in you, hmm?"
the blood rushed to your cheeks as you turned, slowly, to wack him in the chest. he just laughed at you and pulled you in towards him. despite your baby bump being in the way, he managed to wrap his arms around you and tuck you under his arm.
"you're so beautiful, mama."
he kissed yup your neck as you hummed, taking it as a sign to continue. "holding my pups f'me," he kissed over your stomach and glanced back up at you.
the way he still looked at you like you were an angel, something sent from an almighty being just for him, all for him.
"careful, someone might think you're enjoying this," you swatted him on the head as he climbed back up to join you.
"i think you enjoy me being pregnant a lot more than I do." you frowned at your swollen stomach.
he kissed your brows before settling in beside you. "yeah, but you'll enjoy being the best mama out of both of us."
you could get used to hearing that.

request: “Hi!!! I love all of your work!!! Feel free to ignore but could I request a "reader finds out she's pregnant and she thinks that Paul's gonna be mad so she hides it"? I love the angst that ends with loving, passionate smut or just super sweet fluff at the end but only you know how Paul would react. Again, I LOVE your work, thanks for all you do!!!”
warnings: pregnancy???, smut, breeding kink-ish but reader is already pregnant, paul being… paul
notes: before any of you come for me - i firmly believe that paul would absolutely have an awful reason to reader being pregnant IF she wasn’t his imprint. i think the imprint bond would make it very difficult for him to be mad at reader for anything.
you and paul had been together for almost 3 years now. paul had imprinted on you during your senior year of high school and at first, you wouldn’t give him the time of day. it took him nearly 9 months to finally win you over and go on a date with him.
and obviously dating him wasn’t the easiest thing in the world due to his at times very unruly temper but the imprintee bond clearly affected you too and you rarely left his side after you had started dating. though, since word got out to the pack that bella was pregnant, you two had been separated more often than before.
about a week after bella’s pregnancy news broke, you found yourself sitting on the lid of your toilet seat in quite literally the exact situation.
you gripped the pregnancy test in your hand, tears streaming down your cheeks as you stared at the plus sign. you weren’t sure how this happened, you were on the pill and took it daily but you and paul had slipped up here and there by letting him finish in you. you never in a million years thought this would’ve happened.
you knew paul didn’t want kids. he made it very clear to you on multiple different occasions and you knew it was because he was terrified of becoming his father. you never argued with him about it even though being a mother was something you’ve always wanted, understanding where he was coming from but now that clearly came to bite you in the ass.
with paul out on patrol dealing with his protest against bella’s pregnancy, you went into a full-blown panic mode. you grabbed your phone, immediately looking up the nearest abortion clinic, and scheduled an appointment for the following week on their website.
you were pacing around the apartment, trying to figure out what to do until your phone lit up with a text from paul letting you know that he was on his way back from patrol and would see you soon.
you whimpered, heading back into the bathroom and throwing the pregnancy test out before turning on the shower to hopefully buy you some time and make you look less distraught.
it didn’t take long for paul to get home, he pretty quickly joined you in the bathroom after he realized you forgot to lock the door, sitting on the lid of the toilet while he told you about everything that was going on with bella and her supposed vampire baby.
you were washing your hair, thanking god paul couldn’t see you as you broke down crying when he told you they were planning on killing the baby. you thought you were being quiet until you let out a loud sob, legs shaky as you sat down on the floor of the shower and curled your legs up to your chest.
paul quickly pulled the curtain back, “what’s wrong?” he asked worriedly, immediately getting in the shower with you and pulling you into his lap, his clothes getting soaked by the warm water streaming down.
“hey, hey look at me-” paul cooed, curling his hand free under your chin to force you to look up at him. you shook your head, pressing your hands to his chest in a weak attempt to push yourself away from him.
he just shook his head, tightening his grip on your hip and releasing your jaw to pull you closer to his chest, “what’s going on?” he asked softly, pressing his lips to the crown of your head as he waited for you to calm yourself down.
you took in a shaky breath, shaking your head as you let out another loud whimper, “i can’t tell you.” you explained weakly, burying your face in the crook of his neck.
“what do you mean you can’t tell me? princess,” paul sighed, pressing his lips to the crown of your head again, “i can’t help you if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.” he explained, rocking you from side to side as you continued crying into his chest.
you tightened your fist on the thin fabric of his t-shirt, shaking your head again as he cupped his hand under your jaw, gently forcing you to look up at him, “hey,” he cooed, thumb rubbing circles on your jaw as he watched your worriedly.
“just tell me what happened and you’ll feel way better princess, i promise.” he cooed softly as tears continued to run down your cheeks, you hiccuped from the tears, bottom lip quivering as you shook your head again.
“you’ll hate me.” you whispered hoarsely, and he shook his head.
“princess,” paul sighed, “i couldn’t hate you if i tried. please tell me what’s going on.” you whimpered, taking a deep breath as you took his hand and pressed it to your lower abdomen.
paul looked from you, to your abdomen, and then back up to you again. you let out a loud sob, hiccuping again, “i’m so sorry i don’t know what happened.” you explained weakly, “i already booked an appointment at the clinic and i’ll deal with it but i just-” you paused as another sob racked through your body and you wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your face into the soaked fabric of his t-shirt as you sobbed.
it took paul a moment before you felt his arms slide up to wrap around you, holding you close to his chest, “shhhhh…” he cooed, pressing his lips to your hairline, “how far along are you?” he asked softly, gently rubbing his hands up and down your naked figure.
“i don’t know,” you whimpered, peeking up at him, “maybe a month? i’m sorry-” you started but he slid his hand under your jaw and pressed his lips to yours, stunning you for a moment.
after a moment he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours, “i want you to have him… or her - fuck - i’m so sorry princess” paul explained and you whimpered, sliding your hands up his chest to cup his face in your hands.
“you’re not angry?” you asked softly, and he shook his head, gently brushing the tears off your cheeks with his thumb.
“no,” paul sighed softly, “of course i’m not angry with you princess. how could i be mad at you for being pregnant?” he reassured, looking down to where both of your hands rested over your naked abdomen and let out a soft sigh.
“you can barely tell yet,” he started, sliding his other hand down from your jaw to the small of your back, “i was wondering why you’ve been so sensitive lately.”
“sensitive?” you asked softly, letting out a giggle as you sniffled, using the back of your hands to brush your tears away.
“physically i mean,” paul quickly explained, looking back up at you before adding, “sorry, didn’t mean that you’re emotional.”
you giggled again, “i’m a hot mess right now paul, i think it’s fine to call me emotional.” you sniffled, wiping away the tears that continued to fall down your cheeks.
the corner of his lip curled into a small smile, “i’m sorry, your clothes are all soaked now.” you murmured after a moment and he shook his head, sliding his hand up to the back of your neck to pull you in for a soft kiss.
“the clothes will be fine. why don’t we use the tub so you can relax?” he suggested and you nodded, both of you taking a deep breath together before he helped you up, turning off the shower and helping you sit down on the counter as he started the faucet on the tub.
“you like those bath bomb things right? wait can you use those now? i don’t know what pregnant people…” he trailed off and you giggled again, sniffling before responding.
“yes i can still use the bath bombs paul.” you answered softly, smiling up at him sheepishly and he chuckled, tossing one in the bath before peeling his soaked shift off and tossing it into the hamper.
you watched as he undid the zipper on his shorts, staring a little longer than you probably should’ve and paul quickly caught onto it, “sorry,” you murmured, cheeks heating up as you looked away from him, “these stupid hormones are messing with my head.”
you felt his pointer finger lifting your chin up so you could look at him as he used his other hand to part your thighs so he could step in between them, “nothing to be sorry about princess.” paul cooed, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
you pulled your bottom lip between your teeth, gently gnawing on the skin and he released your chin, brushing your hair behind your ears, “good to go in the bath?” he asked softly and you nodded, wrapping your legs around his waist and arms around his neck so he could lift you up.
he stepped into the tub, lowing the both of you down into the warm water so you could straddle his lap. you let out a soft sigh as the pink warm water encompassed your body the smell of lavender from the bathbomb immediately relaxing you into paul. you rested your cheek against his shoulder as he rubbed his hand up and down your back, committed to calming yourself down.
“i meant what i said earlier,” paul started after a moment and you hummed softly, not sure what he meant before he continued, “about the baby i mean.” he clarified, “i want you to keep him.”
you pressed a soft kiss to his shoulder, “you want a baby?” you asked, threading your fingers through his hair.
“with you.” paul responded before clarifying, “i want a baby with you.” the corner of your lip curled into a smile at that, using your free hand to take his hand and press it to your abdomen, humming softly as he rubbed small circles against your skin.
“do you want to keep him?” paul asked softly, almost sounding… concerned which was unusual for him. you pressed another kiss to his shoulder before lifting your head up to look at him.
“of course i do,” you said softly before adding, “you know i want a baby… i just thought that you wouldn’t.” you murmured, looking up at paul anxiously as he let out a soft sigh of relief, his hand giving your hip a soft squeeze.
“i’m sorry i made you think that,” paul pressed another gentle kiss to your hairline, “i do want you to have him.” you pressed a soft kiss to his jaw, trying to hide the wave of tears that rolled down your cheeks at his comment.
he cupped your jaw with his hand, “why are you crying?” he asked softly, thumb brushing the tears away as you shook your head.
“‘m sorry it’s just these stupid hormones.” you murmured again, letting out a soft giggle as you tried to compose yourself and paul smiled, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
you melted into him, quickly knotting your fingers into his hair as you pulled him closer to you. the water splashed a bit as you shifted to press yourself completely against him, your hips subconsciously rolling down in an attempt to create some friction.
paul pulled away for a moment to allow you to catch your breath, resting his forehead against yours, “can we…” you trailed off shyly.
he smiled, nodding as he ran his free hand over your thigh and inbetween your legs, “you tell me if it’s too much, okay? i don’t wanna stress you out.” he asked and you nodded.
the gentleness was so unlike him, something you’d only seen on a few occasions so having him touch you like this was intimate. he grazed his finger of your clit, eliciting a loud whimper out of you.
you whined, grinding your hips down against his finger and he chuckled, “sensitive little thing.” he murmured under his breath, pressing down on your clit to give you the friction you were craving.
“paul please-” you whimpered and normally he would’ve reprimanded you for not using your words but tonight he was committed to staying as gentle with you as possible. he nodded, dipping a finger into your heat as his thumb continued to rub gentle circles against your clit.
you mewled in his lap, tightening your fingers in his hair as he added a second finger, gently scissoring his fingers to stretch you out for him. he felt your breathing hitch as your walls tightened around him quicker than usual, “you gonna cum on my fingers princess?” he asked softly, using his free hand to rest against the small of your back and help stabilize you.
you nodded, letting out a loud whimper, “can i?” you asked breathlessly, grinding your hips down onto his fingers as he continued pumping his fingers in and out of your pussy.
he nodded, “go ahead then, cum on my fingers princess.” he cooed, watching in awe as you quickly met your orgasm with his approval, throwing your head back as a soft moan left your lips and your velvet walls throbbed around his fingers.
he allowed you to ride his fingers for a few more moments as you rode out your high before you leaned forward, relaxing your grip on his hair to wrap yourself around him, resting your head on his shoulder. he pressed a gentle kiss to your temple, rubbing his free hand up and down your back as he pulled his fingers out of you, cooing to you as you he whimpered at the emptiness.
“gonna fill you up in a second princess.” paul reassured, pumping his length in his hand and helping lift your hips up with his other hand.
you moaned softly when you felt the tip of his length press against your entrance, paul gently pulled your hips down so you sank onto his length, releasing your hip when he was fully seated inside of you so he could give you a moment to adjust to his size.
“fuck,” he groaned as he felt your walls flutter around him, “you have no idea how good you feel princess.” paul leaned back against the tub and cupped your breasts with his hands, rolling your nipples between his fingers. you meweled at the heightened pleasure, tightening your grip on his shoulders as he continued to play with your nipples while he waited for you to adjusto him.
you whimpered after a moment, pressing a kiss to the crook of his neck and ground your hips down against his letting him know you wanted him to move. normally you would’ve been reprimanded for not using your words but it seemed like paul was quite enjoying being softer with you tonight as he gripped your hips, and dragged you up and down his cock.
you sat up, grabbing his biceps to steady yourself as he continued to bounce you on his cock. “paul-” you groaned loudly, beginning to assist him with your movements as you rolled your hips down.
paul threw his head back at that movement, “fuck-” paul groaned, “you feel so fucking amazing.”
you mewled at his praise, bouncing up and down on his cock as you chased your second orgasm of the night, “atta girl,” paul encouraged, “my cock making you feel good?”
the slew of praise had you teetering on the edge of your second orgasm, you nodded, whimpering out an, “mhm,” as your eyes watered with tears as you tried not to cum on him right then and there, “can i cum on you? please-” you whined, desperate to come undone on your boyfriend.
“go ahead then, i’m right behind you,” paul encouraged, his grip tightening on your hips as he started fucking you on his cock at a pace that was more pleasurable for the both of you, “wanna see you make a mess on my cock.”
his encouragement was all you needed to cum on him, head falling back as you let out a loud moan, gripping him like a vice and sending him over the edge right after you. paul let out a low groan, pulling you down as far as you could go on his length as he came, releasing your hips to pull you closer to him as the two of you rode out your orgasms.
paul was the first to come back down from his high, pressing soft kisses to your hair as you came back to reality. “deep breaths princess,” paul cooed, rubbing his hand up and down your back.
you nodded, slowly sitting back up as you let out a yawn, “you tired?” he asked, threading his fingers through your hair to stroke your scalp.
“mhm,” you murmured, “can you stay with me tonight?” you asked softly, worried he’d have to leave for patrol again.
“obviously i’m staying with you tonight.” he reassured, “c’mon.” he cooed, helping you wrap yourself around him so he could pick the both of you up and get out of the tub.
you whimpered as he set you down on the counter and pulled himself out of you, quickly grabbing a towel and wrapping it around you and worked at drying you off. once he was satisfied that you were dry enough, he quickly dried himself off and threw on a pair of boxers and sweatpants before helping you into your pajamas.
he picked you up again, walking you into your shared bedroom and lying you down on the bed before getting under the covers with you, “you’re gonna look so pretty with that pregnant belly,” paul mused as he pulled you into a spooning position so he could rest his hand on your abdomen.
you giggled softly, “you think?” you murmured, peeking over your shoulder at him and he nodded, “absolutely positive.” he reassured, “now get some sleep, you need it.”
you smiled, wrapping his other arm around you so you were caged in his grip before drifting off.

Not Strong Enough - Paul Lahote
This is so rushed and you can tell lol. I started this months ago, last summer. Also I hate writing dialogue and this is basically all that so yay for Jo!
--------------
“ I know you're awake Y/n”. His voice cut through the silence of the night.
You didn't stir. You were trying to keep your breath even, praying that he would roll over and go back to sleep. He didn't need to be bothered with the late-night demons you were fighting. He had so much that he was dealing with when it came to the pack, Sam has given him more responsibility in the past few months. You knew it was weighing on him but he never complained not wanting to burden you, even when you begged him to vent to you. Seeing him bottle his emotions only caused you to feel more emotional at the thought of him being sad and feeling like he couldn't talk to you.
“Y/n you're not fooling me love”. He reached out and turned his lamp on before rolling over to face you. Still, you didn't move.
Embarrassment flushed your cheeks and tears threatened to spill as you attempted to blink them away. Rubbing at your eyes to cover up the evidence of your dejected attitude. Even though Paul was quite literally watching your every move.
“What's wrong?”.
“I don't know what you're talking about Paul, you woke me up with your booming voice”.
He opened his mouth to retort what you said but stopped. Pausing to tilt his head to the side, much like a dog does when watching in anticipation. His eyes scanned your body, up and down as he tried to figure out if something was physically wrong with you. When he couldn't find anything wrong his eyes traveled to yours, locking in place. You just blinked, not wanting to budge.
“Y/n I love you, and I have loved you since I first met you. I know you. I know everything about you. Like how you always take a gasping gulp of air right before you fall asleep or how after you have been asleep for a little while you start to snore a little bit, not too loud but enough for me to hear. It's something I love, it soothes me. So yes, I know that you weren't sleeping”.
That was enough to break the dam.
Tears came out in droves as you bawled, burying your head in your hands. Paul acted in no time, immediately shifting to sit up, pulling you into his chest cradling your head as you sobbed. Fear was pulsing through his veins as he watched your chest heave up and down, gasping to catch your breath. His hand that wasn't holding your head rubbing small circles on your arm, attempting to provide comfort.
Slowly your tears came to a sputtering stop as you were able to fill your lungs up with enough air to begin to calm down. His hand didn't stop, because he was right with what he said earlier, he knew you. His grounding touch in your moment of panic was one of, if not the only thing that could bring you back to reality.
You turn your head up. Lifting it from his chest to gaze up at him.
His face shone with pure love and admiration as he gazed down at you. The hand that had clutched your head moved to your face, his thumb wiping away the stray tears that had yet to cascade down your cheeks slightly puffy from your outburst. His lips softly pressed against your forehead, lingering as he felt you relax under his touch. You shifted again, this time turning so you could lean your head on his shoulder, your legs dangling off his lap.
“So how are you going to tell me what's going on?”.
“I'm scared”.
You felt his body tense under your words. The sudden onset of anxiety filled the dimly lit room.
“What do you have to be scared of?”. His voice was calm but the way his grip tightened around you was another indicator of his sudden mood change.
“Becoming a mom, not being strong enough”.
-------------
You knew it was silly.
To let this fear consume you. It's not like the idea of becoming a mom was new. You have spent the past eight months preparing for your upcoming life change. Outwardly you put on a confident front. Accepting the advice your friends and random strangers alike gave you unsolicited advice. Spending hours upon hours shopping with Emily and Kim, letting some of the tribe elders teach you how to crochet different styles of blankets for your new upcoming arrival. Learning about the teas made up of all different herbs that were supposed to aid in various pregnancy symptoms like nausea and sciatic nerve pain. You took in all of it.
But inside you weren't handling everything as well.
No one wanted to talk about the fears that you were harboring. No one wanted to talk about what had happened to Emily during the birth of her and Sam’s first. About how she almost lost her life because of the blood loss, because children born from the wives of the shifters were larger than ones born to human fathers. About how Sam’s screams could be heard miles away as the healers tried to push him out of the room, away from his dying wife. About how that could happen to you.
No one wanted to talk about how you could die.
So every night for the past few weeks as your due date was nearing closer you let yourself think of the possibility, the possibility of your mortality.
Normally you were able to suppress it enough to fall asleep shortly after Paul. But tonight was different.
After a day spent in Forks going to get an ultrasound and then to the healers on the reservation, you had heard someone address the possibility of complications. The talk you got from them was different, seeing as the doctors in Forks didn't know about the lineage of your husband, and his genetic abnormalities that could and probably would affect your child's birth.
Paul had remained stoic throughout trying his best to comfort you without showing any weakness. No matter how much you tried to drill it through his thick skull showing emotion didn't make him weak he didn't budge, that was going to be a lifelong battle.
But their words had hit you hard, the fears you had been struggling with by yourself in silence were finally being brought to light, and someone wanted to talk about them. And you had gone through all the different possibilities, all the complications, and their varying outcomes.
And that was why you had remained awake tonight.
Your fears were fighting off the exhaustion you felt, as your mind was on fire. Paul hadn't brought anything up, other than commenting on how big your baby was getting and about running up north to Port Angeles this weekend to pick up the last piece of furniture for the nursery. It was typical of him not wanting to bring up the things hard to talk about. And you didn't want to fight, not after such an exhausting day so you said nothing, opting for silence.
Paul didn't know what to say, no amount of circles against your arm could provide comfort in this moment. He couldn't simply solve this problem with his touch.
“What are you talking about, my love?”.
“Oh come on Paul, you're telling me you aren't scared. After everything we talked about today. The possibility of me die…”.
“Please don't Y/n”. His voice broke as he closed his eyes pulling you impossibly tight. Normally you would stop, but not tonight. No, you couldn't bottle your emotions anymore.
“Paul, we have to talk about it. Please, I can't do this anymore. I am so scared. Paul I'm terrified about what could happen, what if I can't do this. What if I'm not strong enough to go through labor”. Part of you was proud of yourself for fighting back your tears.
His silence was concerning. But it didn't last long.
“My sweet girl I want to tell you that there's nothing for you to be afraid of but I think we both know that unfortunately, that's not true. However, you're stressing yourself out over something that has a very small chance of happening -”.
“But it happened to Emily!”, you cried out cutting him off.
That hit him hard.
The pack had to experience the pain that Sam had felt years ago. Feeling what was causing their Alpha to crumble to pieces, to be reduced to tears as he begged someone, anyone, to help his imprint.
And Paul had never forgotten that feeling, the look on Sam’s face. So when you had broken the news to him, told him that he was going to be a dad he panicked. He had felt the same feelings that you were feeling now but as the months went on he pushed them down. Choosing to focus on the happier things in your pregnancy, accidentally ignoring everything that was bothering you.
Though hearing you now he had realized he messed up.
“Y/n what happened to Emily…it was horrible. But look at her now, she is a wonderful mother to three beautiful children. Her second and third deliveries went off without a hitch, you know this”.
“But I'm not like Emily, she's survived so much. She's invincible”, your lip was wobbling now.
“You are the strongest woman I have ever met, Y/N. I have complete and total faith in you. I know that you can do it”. His hands were resting on your bump, your child seeming to sense their dad's presence kicking against his palm.
“Really?”, you sniffled, a small weight lifting off your shoulders. It felt good to have this hard conversation. You knew there was so much you needed to talk about, but the bulk of it could be had in the morning, once daylight was streaming through the sheer curtains.  “You are strong enough”

40 Weeks
Chapter 1
part 1
Tumblr media
I shouldn’t have told her. I knew from the beginning that I should have kept it a secret. Telling my mother that I was pregnant was the biggest mistake of my life. Now here I am, forced to leave my home and move to the small town of Forks, Washington. Forced to leave my little siblings that I raised, forced to leave the city I grew up in, forced to leave my friends and family that I made. Now here I am, going from bus station to bus station, moving through city to city in order to get to Forks.
Forks was a small cold town. Almost always under cloud and always near freezing. It would be a shock to go from my bright sunny California to this icy place. The bus was small and packed. The smell of body odor and weed took over my senses. I didn’t mind the weed, but I definitely couldn't wait to escape the stench of the teen next to me. But after enough time and more than enough stops, I made it to my destination.
I walked as carefully as I could, making sure that I wouldn’t trip on the frozen ground. I navigated my way through the streets to get to my sweet grandparents house. My new safe haven. I got lost only 3 times before I found the small green cabin. Two cars sat in the driveway, an old blue Ford truck, and a new Subaru. Walking up the steps to the front door I knocked.
My grandmother opened the door, “Oh sweet pea, you made it okay! You were supposed to be here twenty minutes ago. Was your bus late?”She said with a warm smile on her face, wrapping me in a hug.
“No, just got a little lost is all.” I mumbled into her shoulder. I was trapped in her arm and for a moment I felt safe. Only for a moment.
“Well come in! Welcome home dear.”
“Thank you,” I said, just wishing for this nightmare to be over. I love my grandparents as much as I love my little siblings. But my little siblings need me more than my grandparents do. They still need me. Yet here I am, living in my grandparents home, while they lived with our druggy parents. While they took care of themselves. While they attempted to survive.
Walking into the cabin I smelt pumpkin pie and my grandfather’s favorite candles. I walked into the kitchen.
“Well look who it is, little trouble maker!” My grandfather said, a large smirk on his face.
“Oh Will don’t be so rude, it’s not her fault she’s having a sweet little miracle!” My grandmother squealed.
“Oh Love she knows I’m kidding. Come here kiddo give me a hug.” He opened his arms for a hug and I entered them happily. My grandfather was my best friend growing up. He taught me how to provide for myself and subsequently my little siblings. He taught me how to find people that I love and trust. He taught me how to survive, and maybe he could teach me how to live.
“Don’t worry about me, I'm fine grandma.” I can take it. I thought. I’ve dealt with worse, far worse.
“Look, let's just get straight to the point,” My grandfather said, not wanting to beat around the bush.
“Oh let the kid settle in darling, they just got here!” My grandmother said, wanting me to rest.
“No it’s fine he’s right let's get this over with. I brought my birth certificate and my social security card. So I’m all set. I can get enrolled in the high school this week and get a job too. I’ll pay rent and everything, I don’t want to be a burden-“
My grandmother cut me off, “Oh dear, we already got you enrolled in the high school. You also don’t need a job or to pay rent. You are growing a baby inside you, we would never make you do something like that. And we already got you a doctor appointment with Dr. Cullen.” Grandmother gently grabbed my hand, trying to be as supportive as possible.
“But we do have a few rules, Number 1 don’t stay out past eleven. Number 2, go to school.” Grandpa paused to think,  “That’s about all I got actually.” My grandfather said with a smile on his face. His round red cheeks stretched so his smile lines disappeared.
I was grateful that I didn’t need a job, I would still get one to make sure I had enough cash for me and the baby. But I was worried about school. I haven’t been to school since middle school. I dropped out before I even finished the 8th grade.
“Okay, thank you.” I said, letting calmness wash over me.
“Go upstairs and see your room baby. Get some rest and get cleaned up. You smell like a bus. Tomorrow we will go school shopping and then you will start school Monday.” She finished the conversation before I could respond. I could tell she didn’t want me to argue. Though, I wouldn’t argue, I would do anything to live in a warm house I didn’t have to pay for.
I left the kitchen and moved upstairs. The room was small but big enough for me and the baby. I wasn’t planning on living here long, just until I turned 18 and had enough money for my own apartment. The decor of the room was beautiful, I could tell my grandmother picked it out. The walls were gray and the accents of the room were sage green. Beautiful I thought.
And oh, the crib. My grandparents bought me a crib. I couldn’t believe that this was all mine. Ours. It was all ours. I moved to the bathroom, it was in our room and I didnt have to share it. In my old house there was one bathroom and I had to share it with seven different people. So this was a real luxury to me.
The bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper along with shampoo and conditioner. They smelt like strawberries, not my favorite but I was more than grateful.
I undressed, standing in my boxers and sports bra, before turning on the shower. I went into my new bedroom and sifted through my backpack looking for my notebook. I tore out a page and made a list. All the things that I still needed ranging from clothes to hygiene things. I wrote down everything that I would need. I quickly got undressed fully and got into the shower.
Sunday came far quicker than I could imagine. One minute I was laying my head down to sleep the next I was up and shopping with my grandmother. We had a list of places she wanted to take me. First we went to a small shop in Forks to look for school supplies. I got a backpack, folders, notebooks and pencils. I made sure that I had all the supplies that I would need, then we went to buy me a phone. The phone wasn’t anywhere near new, but it was what I could afford. I didn’t want my grandmother paying for something like that.
Next we went to a thrift store on the rez.
“This is one of my favorite stores in the area. My friends own it and they like to give me discounts. I just love the fashion too, it’s so beautiful, and don't worry, I’ll make sure to find you good jeans and jackets for school.” My grandmother said with a large smile on her face. Figured she would be more than happy to spend some time with her grandbaby.
“Thank you for doing this with me grandma, I don’t know what I would do without you.” I mumbled, starting to get tired from all the shopping. I loved shopping but it was an indulgence I could not afford. Still, I was starting to feel drained from all the purchases.
“Oh you don’t have to thank me! I would do anything for my grandbabies. You should know this. I love you,” She said as we got in the car. I know that she loves me, it's just hard to accept something you have never really had in years. I moved to get into the car and we began driving away.
The rez wasn’t far from where we were, maybe a 20 minute drive at the max. The trees passed us in a fluid line. I turned my head out the window and gently bounced my knee to the music that was playing. Then I saw it, a ginormous figure running through the trees. It looked like a dog but it was by far the biggest dog I had ever seen. There was no way, no possible way, that this was a dog. Then it disappeared. I decided not to say anything to my grandmother, figuring I was just paranoid over nothing.
After the brief drive we made it to the shop my grandmother loves. Walking in the shop had a homey feel, full of warm orange lights and simple blue walls to contrast. There were beautiful fairy lights hanging at the entrance and many clothes racks stuffed to the brim with different articles of clothing.
The clothes were comfy and warm. I tried on different outfits while the owner and my grandmother evaluated them with joy. I mostly got good pairs of jeans with no holes in them (my grandma insisted upon no holes even though I wouldn’t have suggested holes in the first place) and jackets and sweatshirts that were more than warm.
“Is that you Mrs. y/l/n? Oh my goodness it has been so long!” A beautiful tall woman said. She was gorgeous, if she told me to drop dead right now I would. The scar covering half of her face did not take away from the beauty that was this phenomenal creature. “You need to come visit us more often., you know Sam and I would love to have you and your husband for lunch!”
I looked towards my grandmother, she knew this gorgeous woman?
“Oh I’m sorry that I haven’t visited in so long, love. I have been so busy preparing the room for my grandchild to come stay. Actually, I would like you to meet someone!” My grandmother turned to me with an infectious smile. I looked back at her and towards the new figure. “This is y/n! My grandbaby. Y/N say hello to Emily Uley. Her parents are good friends of mine. She’s not much older than you, you know?”
I smiled and pulled my hand out of my pocket to give to the woman. “Lovely to meet you Miss Uley. I’m y/n,” I said with as much respect as possible. Emiliy’s phone went off and it caught all of our attention.
“Oh gosh, okay, sorry to cut this conversation short you two but I need to go home. Sam and his friends got into some trouble in the kitchen and I need to go help. It was so nice to meet you y/n. Have a good day!” She said moving to the front of the store. We waved while she left and a sigh left my lips.
“You alright dear?” My grandmother asked me, worry evident in her tone.
“Don’t worry I’m fine! Just breathing is all.” I said, trying to ease her.
We paid for the clothes and made our way back home. This time I didn’t see a huge dog running through the trees. We pulled up to the front of the house and grabbed the things out of the car. My grandmother made peaceful conversation with me the entire time and asked me all types of questions. “How are you feeling about being back in Forks?” and “Are you excited for school?” even a “Do you have any names for the baby?”
I answered them politely and with respect. Replying “Forks is nice, just a huge change from Cali.” and “Well, I’m definitely nervous but I’ll just have to study and get a tutor.” along with “Nope. No names for the baby yet. I’m worried it’s a little too early.”
We hauled the things inside the house and made the trek up to mine and the baby’s room. “Okay well, do you need help unpacking sweet pea?” My grandma said looking exhausted from the day.
“No, don’t worry about that. I’ve got it covered. I actually think I’m going to unpack and then head down to the beach with some pain and my sketchbook. I wont be out long though.” I said excited to be able to pull out some of my paints that I got for school. Apparently I was in a painting class, according to my grandma, and I would need supplies.
“Well when your done, tell me before you go that your leaving. And take the truck, we actually got it refurbished from Billy Black and his son for you. I hope it runs smoothly.” She said thoughtfully.
She shuffled out of the room while I began to unpack. I took my clothes out of the bags and laid my new backpack down on my bed. I shoved my clothes into a laundry basket and took it downstairs to start some laundry before school. I packed my bag full of notebooks, an accordion folder, and a pencil case. I would be getting all of my school books tomorrow at school.
Then I started to get ready for leaving the house. I grabbed my old backpack and put my new sketchbook in there with some watercolors and a couple of paintbrushes. I grabbed some of my charcoal and an eraser. With my new phone in one jacket pocket and headphones in the other I slung my backpack over my shoulders and left my room to go find my grandma.

"Em?" Y/N asked looking into the mirror at her stomach. "Does my stomach look, I dont know, bloated to you?"
"Um, yeah, maybe a little bit. I dont think it's anything to worry about though." The older woman replied, after looking at the girls stomach.
"I just feel like I'm getting fat. Paul probably notices too." She put her head down.
"Honey, that boy loves you more than anything. You're his whole world. You have nothing to worry about. He imprinted on you and he loves you. Now stop putting yourself down and help me make this food for them animals."
The girl laughed and started getting the table set.
Tuesday, June 10th
"Hm. That's weird."
"What?" Leah asked, the girl staying at her house.
"Nothing, just my period was supposed to start 3 days ago. I'm sure it's fine, this happens sometimes."
"If you're sure, and hurry up Elijah is about to kill Klaus."
Thursday, June 19th
The girl let out a groan, flushing the toilet after being woken up with the sudden urge to vomit.
Saturday, June 21st
All the girls, Emily, Leah, Kim, and Y/N, were all out shopping and having a girls day.
While Leah and Kim were looking through sets of bikinis. Y/N pulled Emily to the side.
"Em, I think I might be pregnant."
"What? Why do you think that??"
"Um, my periods late, my stomach looks bloated, and I've been throwing up. Not to mention Paul made my favorite dinner the other night and I couldn't stand the smell."
"We need to get you a test then, Hon."
***
After Leah and Kim left, Emily let Y/N go into the bathroom to take the test.
Coming out the bathroom, Y/N starts stressing. "What if its positive? What will Paul think? How do I deal with this?"
"Hey. Hey. Just breath. Let's first figure out if you're pregnant or not." Emily calmly says.
"Yeah, you're right." Taking a deep breath she starts to calm, until the timer goes off and her eyes get wide. "Can you check?"
Emily walks into the bathroom and looks at the test, coming out with tears in her eyes. "Um, yeah, you're pregnant"
"Oh mi gosh. Em, what am I supposed to do? Paul and I haven't even talked about kids. What if he doesn't want any?"
"Don't jump to conclusions. Take a couple days to think, and tell Paul when you're ready."
"Thank you, Emily. You always know what to say." The girl wraps her arms around the woman.
Wednesday, June 25th
The imprints made burgers and the pack was having a cookout. Everyone was making their plates. Y/N started to make her plate putting 2 burgers, each with cheese, tomato, onion, and chili. Put a little bit of slaw on the side and some chips.
"Dang girl, you're hungry today." Embry joked, making the girl laugh.
"He's not kidding you are eating a lot more lately." Jacob grumbled.
The girl got quiet and let out a silent "oh".
"What was that? Jacob." Paul growled.
"I'm just saying look at her Paul, everyone here notices how big she's getting. Maybe she should cut back."
After hearing that the girl started to stand up. Paul grabbing her hand. "Its fine, Paul. I'm just gonna go home."
She quietly grabbed her bag and apologized for the inconvenience. "Sorry, I didn't realize I did that. You can have them." Then she walked out the house. Leah chasing after her.
"What the fuck Jacob?!" Paul yelled.
"Paul." Sam warned.
"No Sam. He called her fat, she's not fat."
"We don't need a fight to break out."
"If he didn't want a fight he wouldn't have said anything."
"Paul. Enough."
Paul was shaking horribly. Sam pushed him out the house.
"Really Jacob?!" Jared called, running after Sam and Paul.
"Why is everyone so mad? I just told her how it was. You all can see how much bigger she's getting." Jacob tried to justify himself.
"That doesn't mean that you point it out." Seth told him.
"I know you were all thinking it. Just because I have the guts to tell Paul how it is doesn't make me the bad guy."
"Maybe you should learn the whole story before you go around hurting people."
"Seth. What's that supposed to mean? Seth!"
Seth ran out the house, hoping to find Leah and Y/N.
"Embry? Even you said something."
"I was joking Jake. What you did was uncalled for." Embry scoffed.
"Come on."
"Just stop Jacob." Emily snapped, causing the three left there to widen there eyes.
"Emily. Seriously? You know she's bigger!" Jacob was getting angry.
"Yeah, Jacob. She's eating more and getting bigger, but it's none of your business!" Emily snapped again.
"What if eating so much is hurting her?"
"It's not though, Jacob."
"How do you know??"
"Jacob when she is ready you'll know. Until then shut up."
"Sorry, damn."
***
"Y/N!"
"Y/N"
"Damn, you're fast."
"What do you want Leah?" Y/N sighed as she stopped and turned around, her eyes red and puffy.
"Don't listen to Jacob. He's an asshole."
"I don't care about what Jake said."
"You do or you wouldn't be crying."
"He called me fat Leah. I've never been called that before." She started to tear up. "And it's not even that I'm fat."
"What is it then?"
"Leah...I'm pregnant."
"What!? That's great news."
"Yeah, except for the fact everyone thinks I'm a pig now."
"They do not. If anyone's a pig it's Jacob. Now come on, you need the feed that little one."
***
"Paul!"
"Calm down!"
"Shift back!"
Sam phased into his wolf.
"Paul!"
"He's such an asshole." Paul snarled.
"You need to shift back. Calm down."
"I'm going to rip his throat out."
"Paul!"
"Come on Paul. She needs you." Jared joined.
"I'm trying! I can't control it."
"Calm your thoughts. Breath."
Paul started to shift back, pulling up his shorts in the process. Jared and Sam following shortly after.
***
"Y/N/N! Are you ok? You know Jake doesn't mean to be an ass." Seth tried to reassure the girl.
The girl laughed and grabbed Seth's hands. "Yes. I'm good. Thank you for checking up on me."
It was quiet for a few moments as the trio started walking back to the house. "So..." Seth piped up. "Does she know?"
Leah gasped. "What?! Know?! You told Seth before you told me!"
"He wasn't supposed to find out! He walked in on me having a meltdown about Paul." Y/N defended herself.
"Shit." The girl squeaked. "Paul! He's going to be asking questions. What am I supposed to tell him! I'm not ready. I just found out myself. I need to process this more. Stupid Jacob and his stupid big mouth!"
"Hey! Hey. Just breathe. Paul will understand if you don't want to talk." Leah reassured.
"Are you sure? Because Paul-"
Seth cut the girl off. "She's sure Y/N/N. He wouldn't pressure you into telling him something you don't want to. Now let's go eat I'm sure Little Bit in there is starving."
Both girls let out laughs.
"Um, guys, actually I was just going to go home. I don't wanna face Jacob's apologizes right now."
"Y/F/N you need to eat." Leah demanded.
"Just bring me something when you're finished? Please."
Leah sighed, knowing she wasn't changing the girls decision. "Fine. But you better eat everything I bring you."
"Pinky promise." She held up both her pinkies to Seth and Leah, Seth grabbing her pinky with his, giggling. Leah rolled her eyes, but nevertheless did the same.
"And..." The girl trailed. "Tell Paul that I took his truck. And that I'm ok?"
"So needy." Leah joked, dragging the 'y'.
"But fine I can do that."
"Thank you! You two are the best!"
"We know." They both said at the same time, causing the trio to laugh.
***
Back at home, the girl, took off her shoes and changed into pajama shorts and one of Paul's shirts.
Turning on her and Leah's favorite show to watch, 'The Vampire Diaries'. It was nice to watch people play supernatural creatures. Got their minds off of the real ones that loomed outside.
***
"Finally!" Was the first thing Leah and Seth heard as they walked through the door into Emily's and Sam's.
"Where's Y/N?" Was the second.
Leah was the one to tell Paul the situation.
"So, you just let her leave?" Paul said.
"Yes. She is a grown woman Paul." Leah retorted.
"She didn't even eat."
"I told her I would bring her something."
"I think I should go over there."
"No, you shouldn't." Sam butted in.
"And why not?!"
"Because Paul you just shifted you don't need to do that around her."
"I wouldn't hurt her." Paul glared.
"That's not the point. I said no and my answer is final. You will not go over to Y/N's tonight." Using his alpha voice, making Paul growl and leave the table.
***
"Is it bad that I'm kind of glad Sam did that?" The girl let out to her best friend.
"Yes!" Leah exclaimed.
"I just- I don't know what I would say to him."
"Your fear of confrontation is peeking through."
"Leah! This is serious."
"And I'm being serious. Paul deserves to know."
"I know. I'm just..." The girl let out a sigh. "Scared."
"You should never be scared with him. He looks at you like you're his sun. The thing that is keeping him alive."
"What if he doesn't want a baby? What if this is the one thing he can't handle with me." She whispered.
"That boy would love to start a family with you. The timing may not be ideal, but I've seen the way he looks at you. I saw the way he looked at you before the imprint. You are his literal everything and not just because fate decided you were destined. You were meant to have forever with each other way before fate decided it."
Y/N had tears in her eyes by the time Leah had finished. "I really needed that Leah." She sniffled. "I guess, sometimes, my insecurities take over. I've just been so scared, with the vampires and Bella. There's no time for a baby. Not in his life. He already has so much on him. Why do I need to add more?"
"Quit putting yourself down. You know you come first, when it comes to anything with Paul. A baby is not a burden, or something that just adds pressure. A baby can bring joy and bring people together. Maybe that's what we all need right now."
"Yeah. Maybe you're right."
"No maybe about it. I am right."
"Oh so modest." The girls giggled.
Thursday, June 26th
Awoken to heavy knocks on the front door, both girls growned, having stayed up most of the night talking.
"Y/N. Get the door." Leah grumbled.
"Why me?" The girl whined.
"It's your house."
"You kept me up all night."
"You mean you kept me up all night."
"No."
"Just open the door."
"Fine." She whined, pushing herself out of bed, looking at the clock on her nightstand that read 8:07 am.
Stomping to the door, grumbling profanities the whole way. She pulled the door open only to be greeted with-
"Paul?"
"Hey! I couldn't sleep without making sure you were ok. Jacob was an asshole. He never should have said those untrue things. I love your body and you should too. I think you're beautiful, inside and out. I don't care that you can eat two burgers, I love a woman that can hold her food. Yo-"
"Paul." She cut him off. "As sweet as this is, can we do it later? I'm sorry. Leah kept me up until 5 this morning and all I wanna do is curl up and take a hundred year nap."
"Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Want a cuddle buddy?" A smirk slowly rising on his face.
"You know I could never turn you down." She grinned pulling him inside and onto the couch.
***
By the time the girl woke Paul was already gone, a note in his place, telling her he had patrol but would be back after.
Leah was gone too, so the girl assumed the pack needed her as well.
Grabbing some clothes, she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
***
After a much needed shower, Y/N looked out the window and noticed Paul's truck still in the driveway and his keys still on her nightstand.
Grabbing the keys, and getting in the truck, she started her drive to Emily's.
***
"Hey Em." She called, walking inside.
"Heyyyy." Said girl peeked her head out the kitchen. "I need to talk to you."
"Ok, nothing stressful about that sentence at all."
"Have you told Paul?"
"Diving right in, I see." She muttered.
"Huh?" Emily called from the kitchen.
"Oh! Uh- no I haven't."
"Do you know when you're going to? Because I think you should soon, it'll make all this doubt you have go away."
"I don't know. Soon though, promise!"
Tuesday, July 7th
Everyone was gathered around Emily and Sam's table, laughing and joking around. Well, everyone except Jacob he was upset with Bella, which made him brood.
Y/N sat beside Paul, occasionally stealing the tomatoes off his plate, he always put them to the side for her to grab because they were her favorites and he wasn't that fond of them.
Going unnoticed by the pack and the imprints, everytime she'd take one Jacob would roll his eyes and scoff.
Grabbing the last one of Paul's plate and about to put it in her mouth she was stopped by Jacob's rude voice.
"Are you serious?" He scoffed.
Everyone looked around confused as to what his sudden outburst was about.
"Everything ok, Jacob?" Emily asked.
Jacob let out a little laugh and clicked his tongue.
This time Y/N spoke up.
"Are you upset, Jacob?"
"Me? What? No." He paused. "I do think Paul should be though."
"Why would Paul be upset?" You furrowed your eyebrows.
"Because his girlfriend has already had more than enough, but she's still eating. And not just that but taking it off his plate. Do you really need that much food Y/N? All it does is make you fatter, which is definitely not something you need. If anything you need to exercise more." He spat at her.
His outburst caused Kim and Emily to let out gasps. Jared and Paul standing up.
Paul had his mouth open about to say something but before he could Y/N interrupted.
"Paul. It's fine. He can feel the way he feels. I'm just gonna go home."
"No you're not." Emily piped in. "Jacob if you could please leave."
"What?" Jacob exclaimed.
"I asked if you could leave, I expect you to use respect in my house and until I see you give some to Y/N I want you to leave."
"She's not even apart of the pack."
"She's an imprint. We are apart of this pack, now are you gonna apologize or did I need to get Paul to escort you out?"
Jacob scuffed, "I'm sorry I called you fat, it may be true but it was not nice of me to say."
Paul was fuming, "I accept your apology"
"No she doesn't." Paul vented.
"Paul, it's fine I don't wanna cause a fight."
"You're not causing the fight. He is."
"He apologized. That's enough. Let's finish eating, then I have to tell you something."
***
"You wanted to tell me something?" Paul said, as he drove them home.
"Can it wait? I'm really tired and just wanna go to sleep."
"Of course, Sweetheart." He kisses her temple.
Thursday, July 9th
"I'm telling him."
All three girls let out simultaneous screams.
"Finally!" Emily exclaimed.
"Took you long enough" Leah joked.
"I still can't believe you're pregnant." Kim gasped.
"Well maybe I should wait a little longer, maybe until August?" Y/N let out a cheeky grin.
"No!" All three girls yelled.
The guys were on patrol and the imprints had the house to themselves. There was a knock at the door.
The girl laughed as she got up to get the door.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Leah questioned Emily.
"No." Emily whispered out.
"Y/N don't answer that." Leah called.
"Guys I invited someone." Y/N answered back.
"Who? We're your only friends." Leah joked.
Y/N opened the door, only for Bella to be standing awkwardly on the other side.
"Hi! Come in. Come in."
"No." Leah deadpanned.
"I thought it would be nice. Jacob really likes her."
"Why do you care what Jacob thinks? He's an ass."
"He wasn't always one. And a friend of Jake's is a friend of ours."
"Well, I think it was nice of Y/N to invite Bella. Make yourself at home Bella, the guys shouldn't be back for a while so it's just us girls. Right now we're just talking but later we're baking!" Emily clapped.
"Ok." Bella squeaked out.
"I don't think we've met. I'm Kim." She introduced herself.
"Bella." She said and waved.
"Well sit down, come on." Emily waved her over. "You ok if we still talk about.."
"Of course! As long as you promise not to tell the guys." Y/N put on her best serious face and looked Bella dead in her eyes.
"I barely talk to them."
"You can't tell Jacob."
"I won't tell Jacob."
"Ok..well I'm pregnant, the baby is Paul's and I haven't told him yet."
"Omg. Congratulations."
"Thank you! I'm kinda in this adrenaline thing right now and I'm hoping it won't wear off by the time Paul gets here." The girls giggled.
"So. Boys!" Emily exclaimed. "Jared?"
"We're really good. He's the greatest. The other day he tried to make me breakfast in bed, he got up really early, my parents were out of town, word of advice Em, never and I mean ever let Jared in the kitchen. It was sweet though he brought me fried eggs and bacon, only all of it was black." Kim laughed at the memory. "And I have a burnt spot on the wall in my kitchen, he still won't tell me what happened."
"He's such a klutz."
"But he makes it so adorable!"
The girls laughed at how in love she was.
"I already told y'all all my boy struggles." Y/N threw her hands up. "What about Sam?" She wiggled her eyebrows, causing the girls to let out giggles.
"Sam is..." Emily let out a sigh, "Sam is perfect. The wedding is soon, as you all know. But enough about me I wanna know about your love life Leah. Oh, and Bella would you like anything to drink, we've got wine and water, sorry not much."
"I'm good. Thank you." Bella muttered, still awkward.
"Leahhhh. Love life. Go." Emily may be a little tipsy.
"Can't talk about something that's non-existent."
"Leah don't lie. We're all friends here." Y/N blurted out.
"Fine. I did meet this girl....but that's all I'm saying!"
Emily and Kim let out pouts while Y/N laughed, maybe letting them have wine was a bad idea.
"You." Emily pointed at Bella.
"Me?" Bella questioned.
"Yes. How's your vamp?"
"Oh, um- he's nice, I guess."
"No. I need more than nice."
"He's really good at dancing." Bella shrugged.
"I need more." Emily begged.
Maybe Bella should of said yes to that wine.
***
It had been a good four hours and 4 out of 5 of the girls were more than tipsy. The 5th one just laughing her ass off at her friends.
The guys were in for a surprise when they came in. There was flour everywhere. In places where flour shouldn't be.
The girls were sitting in a circle in the kitchen, giggling, waiting on their cookies and brownies and muffins to be done. They got a little over board.
Then the door opened and the girls went silent. Sam walked through the door to be met with flour and baking ingredients all over the table and counters, along with 3 empty bottles of wine. He could hear whispers in the kitchen.
"Maybe if we stay really quiet they won't realize we're here." Emily whispered. The other girls giggling. "Shhhhh."
Sam peered over into the kitchen, watching the five girls huddle down, not noticing he was there. Hearing the guys he quieted them letting them look.
Emily peered up seeing the guys watch them causing her to squeak and the other girls to look up.
Each guy had an amused look on his face, watching the girls.
"Welp, grab one." Sam called.
Sam scooped Emily up into his arms, causing her to let out of squeal.
Jared did the same to Kim, and Jacob to Bella. Seth grabbed his sister, and Paul grabbed Y/N.
"Paul, wait, I have to tell you something" Y/N said. "I'm not drunk. I can't even drink."
He took the girl and sat her down outside. She stood in front of him, and he gave her a look to continue.
Hearing loud noises coming from the house, they both looked over only to see all four girls watching them with wide grins on their faces.
"What is happening?" Paul asked, with a confused smile.
In the background you could hear the girls screaming with excitement.
"Here goes nothing. Paul..."
"Yes."
"I'm pregnant."
Paul's face was pure shock, all the girls in the background screaming and cheering.
"We're gonna have a baby?"
"Yeah. We're gonna have a baby. It's why I've been getting bigger, as Jacob so kindly reminds me."
"I'll kill him if you want me to."
"I know you would."
"I have a question."
"Shoot."
"Why is the leech lover here?"
"I invited her. She's actually really nice. I get why Jacob likes her."
"I can't believe we're going to have a baby."
"Me neither."
"I love you so much."
"I love you too."

Meant to be
Tumblr media
synopsis ~ paul and y/n have been together for some time now. making commitments most people dont. but those commitments might end up being too dangerous in the end when y/n's life is on the line.
warnings ~ pregnancy, death, blood (i think thats it. lmk if there's more)
-----------------------------------------
Y/N and Paul Lahote were seen as twin flames. Inseparable. Destined to be together. You both knew this too and never doubted it.
2 years into the relationship y/n had just found out you were expecting. This was a special moment for you because you'd always talk about how you wanted kids with paul. It seemed a little rushed to have kids at the young ages you were so both of you decided to wait. Now was the time. One pregnancy test changed your lives forever.
About one month in, y/n and paul were beyond excited to they started talking about baby names right away. "How about.. Lily for girl or Liam for boy.." Paul said. He wanted something simple. Basic. Easy to pronounce so there would be no problems down the road. "Mm no, i was thinking something more different. Like.. Natalina for girl or Hasini for boy" Y/n wanted something special. Unique. Rare. Known between only them. You didnt care about pronunciation. There was no problem with correcting people if they ever got it wrong. After all this was your first child together. Y/n wanted it to be special. Paul may have had a few objections with the name y/n chose. Something cultural so their child can always remember where they come from. Paul wanted short and simple names like Diamond or Rose. Either way, you still had 8 months to firgure it out so there was no need to rush.
"Paul! Lets go, we're gonna be late!"......"I'm coming! Do you really think I'd miss my babies ultrasound and gender reveal?" You both pecked eachother on the lips and head out the door, excited to find out the gender of your baby... "It looks like you two are having.. a girl!! Congratulations!" Said the nurse. We both were beyond excited. Paul kissed y/n on the forehead.
9 months into the pregnancy, y/n and paul were overly excited. Sadly sam had to pull paul for some patrolling. You didnt mind much, sam was really generous towards the two of you the entire pregnancy. Emily coming over helping you with the basics that you couldnt get done because of your swollen pregnant belly. It was a nice gesture. But that day you had to get out of the house. You were craving food badly. You asked Emily to leave so you could get yourself something to eat. "You go easy on yourself y/n. That baby will be coming any day now. Rest." Emily said concerned. "I will Em. Thank you, now please go, you've taken really good care of me". You two hugged and Emily headed out the door. You had a tough time slipping your shoes on but you finally did it. Heading out the door you got bad contractions that stopped you in your tracks. You decided to sit this one out and wouldnt risk it.
Sitting down watching tv, you get a text. You look at it and its paul.
P - "I'm gonna be coming home late baby, there's some rogue vampires in the area that we have to keep an eye on. I'll be home soon, hopefully. Keep the doors locked, and call me if you need help. I'll come as fast as i can. I love you."
This scared you considering paul was killable. Especially when it comes to vampires. But you remained calm and rubbed your swollen belly, smiling.
A few hours pass and you're in extreme pain. Contractions are closing in. You didnt think much of it, thinking it was simple braxton hicks. Up until your water broke. You called paul a dozen times but he wouldnt pick up. Afriad for you and mostly your baby, you called an ambulance, not caring about vampires. While medics were getting you on a gurnee, you grabbed a folded piece of paper on your nightstand, putting it in your pocket.
Here you were at the hospital, giving birth to your baby girl. Paul no where in sight. You're alone and surrounded by nurses. The last push and you finally see your baby girl. She had brown eyes and a ton of hair. She was sat on your chest when suddenly you felt a wave of drowsiness. Your lips started to turn pale and your eyes were rolling. The nurses called a code blue and brought in defibrillators to wake your heart. But it was too late.. the nurse took the baby to the nursery.
Paul is in the woods and shifts back into a human with the rest of the pack. They make their way to Emily's. When they arrive emily is there and she looks defeated. "Hey Em. Weren't you supposed to be with Y/n today?" Paul asks. There's silence between everyone and Paul's heart drops. "Whats wrong." "Is it y/n?" "Did something happen?" The pack members bombard emily with questions. "I got a call. Y/n was rushed to the hospital, something was wrong". Paul freaks and pulls out his phone. Seeing the dozen missed calls from y/n..
Paul storms into the hospital asking nurses and doctors where you are. "Are you paul lahote?" A nurse asks and she gives him a sad look. "Y/n had her baby but... she died of complications im sorry". Paul looks purely shocked. "What?" He asks. "I can show you to her if you'd like" the nurse says. Guiding him to your room. You lay there lifeless and paul breaks down. The nurse attempts to leave. "Wait. Is the baby fine, where is she" paul asks with tears rolling down his cheeks. The nurse guides him to a separate room where she then brings the baby in. She hands paul your child while he smiles. She then pulls out a folded piece of paper. "Y/n had this in her pocket when she was picked up in the ambulance. She made it known that we had to give this to you.". She gives him the paper and quietly leaves.
"Dear paul, the love of my life. If you're reading this, then things didn't go as planned. I was undecided on making this but if something happened to me i didn't wanna leave you alone and confused. You already know this but my mom died during my birth and the pain my father felt was too much to bear so he took it out on me. I dont want you to become that pain and sorrow my father was. So this note is your closure. If i dont make it please protect our baby girl like you once did with me. I want her to have a stable and loving family. Something i did not have. I trust that you'll be there for her through everything. Birthdays, boyfriends, marriage. Everything that i wont see. Please live your life knowing i died loving you with everything in me. Every date, every hug. Every kiss, has meant more to me than anything. You've made my life a thousand times better. And for that i would never forget you nor die without you on my mind and in my heart. I always knew we were meant to be, even in death. Now please. Be happy and dont hold yourself back. And tell our daughter, RoseEmika Lahote that her mommy died loving the very best of her."
Paul wiped a tear from his wet cheeks and smiled. Holding our daughter, he told her "Meant to be".
-----------------------------------------
Maybe i cried during this, maybe i didnt. Im pretty proud of this. Considering its my first fanfic and all

Hiiii!
Can I request a paul x reader who’s pregnant and he gets realll handsy….
Thank youuuu!
Thank you so much for this request. I’ve been imagining Paul as a father and umf yes, get me pregnant daddy. Here you go, hope you enjoy it!
Tumblr media
“Baby, please! I need to finish the dishes” you push your boyfriend’s hands away from your stomach as you continue washing the plate you’ve been busy with for the past five minutes. Ever since you told Paul you were having his baby, he can’t seem to get enough of you. His hands will be everywhere, anywhere at anytime. And so are his lips as your neck and shoulders were marked with many hickeys and lovebites. “You can finish them later, just want to look at you” he mumbles into your hair, his hands wrapping around your waist to pull you closer to his chest. You giggle and turn around in his arms, stepping on your toes to peck his lips. “You’re always looking at me, Lahote.” “Don’t blame me, you just look so beautiful carrying my pup” he mumbles into your hair as he kisses your hair.
“Paul!” You giggle as he keeps on assaulting your neck with kisses, licks and bites. “Give up y/n, when i was pregnant with Asher, Sam was exactly the same.” You look over to see Emily standing in the opening of the door with an amused expression on her face. She walks over to the two of you and smiles at Paul. “I’ll take over from here” she takes the plates out of your hand and gives you a wiggle of her eyebrows. “Have fun kids” she waves you away and turns on the water to finish washing.
As you and your boyfriend head up to the guest room, Paul can’t help himself and smacks your ass. “Let’s go baby mama, gonna make you feel real good” he smirks as he opens the door for you. Before you have a chance to walk inside, Paul’s hands are all over your body. His one hand fists your hair, bringing your face closer to his and claiming your mouth in a passionate kiss while the other takes a hold of your ass and squeezes it as if his life depended on it.
“Paul, shit” you whimper as he sucks and bites your neck, you tilt your head slightly to give him a better angle and he takes it hungrily. “Fuck baby, you look so fucking beautiful, just can’t stop looking, fuck” he growls as you palm his cock and run your fingers over his entire length. “Just need to look at you baby,” he grabs your chin and forces you to look up at him. His eyes darkened by lust and desire make you feel something you’ve never felt before, you feel wanted, even when looking like this. You glance at yourself in the mirror that’s standing in the corner of the room.
“See how beautiful you look, carrying my pup, our pup” his hands drift of to your bump, caressing it with both hands. His fingers rubbing smooth circles on the sides of your stomach. You reach your arms up and wrap them around his neck. You lean up and let your lips brush his.
“We love you, Paul Lahote”
“And i love you both so fucking much”

Paul Lahote x pregnant reader x Embry Call
Tumblr media
Warnings: afab!reader, pregnancy, overthinking, anxiety, Paul would you ‘pup’ I don’t take criticism, fear of rejection, is it obvious I have baby fever?, let me know if I missed anything
--
“What am I doing to do, Em, Kim?” You address both of the women sitting on the couch as you paced back and forth.
You had just gotten back from your doctors appointment. You haven’t been feeling well lately and your boys were worried you were sick. You weren’t sick, you were 9 weeks pregnant. With twins.
“Y/n, dear, please sit down.” Emily patted the cushion next to her.
“I can’t sit down, Em, I’m stressed.” You complained.
“I don’t understand why you’re so stressed out, hun.” Kim spoke up for the first time since you told them you were pregnant. “They’re going to be excited.”
You stopped pacing. You stood in front of the girls, face filled with guilt. “The twins could only belong to one of them right? I feel bad that Paul would be the biological father to both and Embry wouldn’t, visa versa.” You whispered, loud enough for them to hear.
“Well that’s the more common case, yeah, but I’m sure Embry or Paul would still love the babies the same.” Emily commented.
“Hang on, the ‘more common case’?” You questioned.
“Yes, I believe it’s called ‘heteropaternal superfecundation’. It’s where one twin belongs to one and the other twin belongs to another man.” She informed you.
“Huh, you really do learn something new everyday.” Kim muttered.
“I really hope that’s my case.” You paused, another question coming to mind. “How far along do you have to be to get a paternity test done?”
“7 or 9 weeks, I believe.” Kim chimed in.
“I’m 9 weeks.” You started. “Do you think they would get a paternity test?”
“I’m sure if you asked them to.” You knew Emily was right. They’d do anything if you asked them to.
“Okay, yeah, I just got to tell them first.” You mentally hyped yourself up to the idea.
“You got this, hun.” Kim encouraged.
“Just one question.” Emily grinned. “Are we the god mothers?”
—-
You were now sitting on the bed while some trash tv show played in the background, having come home a hour ago. You were waiting for your two (2) wolves.
Although, the longer you waited, the more the suspense built. You didn’t plan an extravagant way to tell them, you were too nervous. Besides, you thought being pregnant with twins should be a big enough surprise.
Too lost in your thoughts, you apparently didn’t hear the front door open or your boys calling your name or their footsteps up the stairs. You didn’t know they were home until Embry opened your shared bedroom door.
“Pup, you alright? You didn’t come to the downstairs when we called you.” Paul walked over to you and sat down on the bed, in front of you. Embry sat beside him.
Your heart rate picked up and fear set in and they felt it through the imprint bond.
“Babe? What’s wrong?” Embry moved closer to you.
“I, uh, I have something I need to tell you.” You begin. It took everything in you not to cry from the fear of rejection. “I’m pregnant. Not only that, but with twins.” You took a breath once it was finally out, but it didn’t relax you one bit as neither do them have said anything.
Paul and Embry sat shocked in front of you, not moving or saying anything. Honestly, if they were going to leave you, you wished they’d do it now and quickly.
You hesitantly asked, “B-boys? Are you okay?”
Paul snapped out of his trace first, smashing his lips into yours, taking you by surprise. Nonetheless, you kissed him back, both of your arms wrapping around each other.
Embry poked Paul’s side, forcing him to pull away from you. “My turn, Paul.” Embry demanded, making you giggle while Paul huffed.
Embry put his hands on both sides of your face and brought you in to kiss you. He removed one hand from your face, down to your legs, moving you closer to him and Paul.
He pulled back with the biggest grin on his face. “I love you so much. I’m so happy.” He poked Paul in the side again, making him groan. “We’re going to be dads.”
“So it doesn’t matter if the twins only belong to one of you?” You questioned. Paul moved behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, placing his chin on your shoulder.
“It doesn’t matter who they biologically belong to, they will always be our kids no matter what.” Paul reassured you.
“So, hypothetically, if I asked for get a paternity test, would?” You asked, quickly adding in, “not the it matters, I’m just curious.”
Paul and Embry shared a look.
“Only if you want to.” Embry said. “But for now, can we cuddle? We missed you.”
You smiled, “‘course.”
—-
About a week later, you went in for the paternity test. The boys were restless the whole time. It became worse when the doctor said the results won’t be in for at least 24 hours. When the results finally came in, they were practically bouncing. From nervousness or excitement, you weren’t sure.
Opening the letter, you read it carefully. You gasped which concerned your wolves.
“What? What’s wrong?” They spoke in unison, not bothering to hide the concern in their voices.
“One baby is Paul’s and one is Embry’s.” You announced.
“What?” Paul blurted.
“How’s that possible?” Embry muttered in wonder.
“I’m not sure, but Emily said it’s rare. I’m just surprised this is how it turned out.” You admitted.
Paul hugged you. “I said this before, but it doesn’t matter if one’s mine, others not or if they were mine or not, we’re still going to be their fathers, pup.” He assured you one again, placing a kiss on the top of your head.
Embry hugged you from behind. “You’re going to be a great mother, babe.”
“Guess the 3 musketeers turned into 5.” You joked, sending the three of you into a fit of giggles.

Because It's You | Jacob Black Oneshot
Moving was something (Y/N) Swan was already used to. With her mother trailing her up and down, following Phil Dwyer until they finally settled in Florida. But the novelty of living in a hot crowded state had grown old and something inside her was calling to the coldness of Forks, Washington.
She didn’t understand the sudden urge to move back to her birthplace, but it remained incessant inside her. Growing every day that passed. Her skin itched for the gloomy nature of Forks. The rainy days, the freezing winters, the chilling winds, and the smell of the pines. Long gone was her love for the humid air, the bustling streets, and the burning sun of Jacksonville.
“Mom, can I talk to you?”  (Y/N) peeked her head into her mother’s bedroom one day.
Renee smiled and patted the empty spot on the bed beside her. “Of course, honey. What’s up?”
“For some time now I’ve been thinking about moving to Forks with Bella and dad,” she confessed. “It’s not that I don’t like living here, don’t get me wrong. It’s simply that something keeps calling me over.”
“Oh, (Y/N), you don’t need to feel bad for wanting a change in scenery,” Renee consoled. “And I know that your father will be absolutely thrilled to have you there. And even though I will miss you a lot. I, more than many, understand the need to find a new pace.”
“I’m so happy you understand, mom,” she beamed. “I promise as soon as I can I’ll come and visit you. And I’ll call you as much as I can and send you messages.”
“Maybe you’ll finally get Bella out of that weird funk she’s in over that boy.”
“First loves are something that are hard to get over. That’s something you taught me.”
“Oh, me and my ramblings,” Renée chuckled. “Do you need any help packing up?”
“I’ve got it,” (Y/N) smiled. “Thanks, mom.”
The girl packed excitedly, a morose feeling creeping up her back. It wouldn’t be her first time in the cold and rainy lands of Forks, Washington. But it would be the first time she would remain there for the foreseeable future. A mix of nostalgia and anticipation crept through her veins and made their home in her heart.
The hardest part was saying goodbye to her mother. She would miss the woman’s sporadic need to change things up. Whether it was a wall color, a couch, or even a state, their household was always in a constant state of evolution. (Y/N) could never say her life felt monotonous.
Still, she embarked on the seven-hour journey to Washington, ready to start her new life and answer whatever call the town had made to her.  She could feel it deep in her bones that there was a reason moving to Forks was the right decision for her, and she couldn’t wait to find out what it was.
Sleep overtook her two hours into the flight, her brain shutting down as tiredness flushed it. One second her eyes were focused on a book, the next, her head had fallen against the side of the plane and flashes of images started fluttering behind her eyelids.
But (Y/N) could not understand the visions that her subconscious played for her. She saw a gigantic wolf with russet-colored fur. She saw the back of a man with short brown hair and tan skin. She saw tears. But what jolted her awake was that she saw a baby. And the stewardess welcoming the passengers to Port Angeles, Washington.
She quickly gathered her things, unable to shake the image of that baby from her head. She couldn’t erase the image of the child’s coal black hair, its soft tan skin, its unforgettable big brown eyes. Every feature of the tiny baby had sewn into the very fibers of her brain. But she had to squash it down. To believe that what her imagination had conjured was only that, her imagination. (Y/N) was starting a new chapter and she did not want a silly dream to set off the tone for the rest of her book.
“I can’t believe how much you’ve grown,” Charlie Swan beamed as his eyes fell on his younger daughter. “I swear only yesterday you were a little girl asking to learn how to ride her bike.”
“Hey, dad,” she smiled, wrapping her arms around her father’s waist, sinking into the warmth of his body. “Can’t believe it’s been almost three years since I’ve seen you.”
“Yeah, three years too long,” he chuckled. “But I’m glad I’ve got both my girls with me now. Even if Bella is not quite herself right now.”
“Don’t worry, dad. We’ll get her back to being herself in no time.”
“I sure hope so, kiddo,” he sighed. “Now let’s get you home.”
Both Swans rolled suitcases and carried bags to the cruiser, joy wrapping around them comfortingly. (Y/N) had always loved visiting her dad. Even if it was only two months of the year, she enjoyed spending time with the awkward and lovable man.
Charlie had always tried hard to be a good father. He’d done everything he could to fit a whole year into eight weeks, trying with all his might to form a strong relationship with his daughters. He had always felt guilty for letting Renée take them without much fight, but he had believed it was the best decision for all of them. Even if he could only see his girls for a small amount, they would know how much they were loved.
“I have to warn you, kiddo, Bella is not herself,” Charlie finally spoke. “She’s kind of like the living dead. She goes to school, she goes to work, and she locks herself in her room. It’s like she’s stuck in autopilot and can’t turn it off.”
“Well, it’s her first-ever boyfriend. She’s probably still reeling from the fact that she lost her first love.”
“I guess,” he sighed defeatedly. “I just want her to get better. A boy is never worth your tears.”
It wasn’t long until they were parking in front of the house. The night was quiet, somehow unaware that there was now a new resident in its midst. Even the house had no idea that she had come home. Everything was just as she had remembered. From the couches to the curtains, to the dated kitchen, it was stuck in time.
“You’ve still got your same room,” Charlie smiled. “I wasn’t sure what you’d like so I kept it the same. We can change it up any time you want though. Buy some new paints and sheets or whatever.”
“Thanks, dad,” (Y/N) responded in kind. “And I’ll take you up on that offer. It’s been a while since I’ve liked bright green paint on my walls.”
“Alright, kiddo. Why don’t you go ahead and turn in for the night? Bella is definitely already in bed so you can try and catch up tomorrow afternoon after school,” he offered. “You start on Monday anyway, so you won’t see her until she comes back.”
“That’s done. I’m honestly exhausted and will probably sleep in,” she sighed contentedly. “Well, good night, dad.”
“Night, kiddo. Welcome home.”
Her childhood bedroom was truly exactly like the last time she had seen it. The walls were painted a painful neon lime green, the sheets a shade of teal that seemed too bright for the darkness of the night, and books and dolls littered shelves on the wall. She quickly felt like she had never left home. Only a couple of months into being sixteen and she had regressed to her thirteen-year-old self.
She could see herself spending her summer days in her room, playing make-believe, and imagining what it would have been like to spend more than two months living in Forks, Washington. She dreamed of how it would feel to spend the freezing winters bundled up in front of the fire and drinking hot chocolate. To watch the snow fall as she breathed in the scent of pines and damp soil. To know more of the souls that lived in the small town and the reservation.
After her eyes ran across the room, they fell on a little wolf carved out of redwood. She had forgotten it had existed, but looking at it then made a smile spread across her face. It was choppy and amateurly made, but it had been a sweet token of appreciation from a dear friend.
They had been but ten-year-old kids playing around the barn behind the Black residence. Jacob Black had been excited to show (Y/N) something he had made her, his face lit up with excitement. He dug into the pockets of his too-big-fit cargo pants and pulled out the little wolf.
“Mom used to say that wolves are a totem of protection,” he said sheepishly. “I want to make sure you have something that’s always protecting you. Even if it might seem like it’s all make-believe, but good vibes and everything.”
“It’s beautiful, Jake,” she had smiled. “I’ll keep it with me always.”
“Good, I don’t want anything to ever happen to you.”
“What’s that?” Bella had asked, joining the kids after going to the bathroom. She was already a head taller than the other two, and the fact that she was thirteen already was evident in how disinterested she had been to spend time with her sister and their friend. “It looks bad. Like you couldn’t have spent more than five bucks on it.”
“I made it,” Jake had peeped, his skin turning a deep hue of red. “I spent a whole month working on it.”
“Oh,” she had answered, taking it from her sister’s hands and inspecting it. “It’s cute.”
“Well, I think it’s amazing.” (Y/N) had snatched the totem back. “And it’s mine so your opinion doesn’t really matter, Bella.”
“It’s okay, (Y/N). You don’t have to say it’s good,” Jake shrugged. “I can take it back.”
“No, you have it to me, and I love it. You can’t take gifts back.”
She couldn’t believe she had forgotten the little totem had existed. She ran her fingers over the carved fur, the lopsided snout, the painted black eyes, and the slightly sharp ears. It was still as beautiful to her as she had thought the first time she had seen it. And it made her think of the boy she had grown up with.
It made her wonder how he looked. How tall he had become, how long his hair could have gotten, how broad his shoulders could have become. She wondered if his smile was just as bright, if his hugs were just as warm, and if his laughter was just as melodious. She wanted to know if he was still the same boy she had loved since she was a kid.
The next morning, rather the afternoon, she had woken to the sun beaming on her face. Even in the midst of the January snow, the sun was as bright. (Y/N) stretched out the soreness in her muscles, the seven hours sat on a plane taking a toll on her body. She rolled out of her bed, her eyes taking a second to adjust to her new surroundings. She wasn’t back in her room in Florida, wondering which shorts she would wear to take on the ravishing humidity and heat. She was in Forks now, rummaging through her suitcases for the warmest sweater she owned.
After she had gotten dressed, she noticed the note that had been taped to the door, her father’s scribbly handwriting evident from far away. She took the paper in her hands, a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.
Thought you might need some wheels to get around, kiddo. It might not be too new, but it runs perfectly. You have Jake to thank for that. Keys are on the kitchen table. J
The girl took off in a run, excitement running through her veins. Before going outside and seeing her new car, she stopped by the kitchen grabbing the keys and a chocolate chip muffin. Outside, a 1971 baby blue C-10 Chevy pickup truck was parked on the driveway, a thin sheet of white snow covering the car. It had been the very car she had been obsessed with since she was a kid and she had started to love cars just like Jake had.
She sat on the driver’s seat, turning on the engine, allowing the car to warm up. Her eyes unconsciously closed, reveling in the rumbling of the car and the warmth that the heater blew. The truck sounded beautiful, as beautiful as she thought it would have been in the 70s, maybe even better. Her fingers traced the inside of the car. She touched the gear shift and the steering wheel. She grazed the stereo that had definitely been replaced and the soft leather seats that had been clearly upholstered. It was perfect.
Jake had outdone himself with the car and it had made her heart flutter that he had put so much care into fixing it. All she wanted was to thank him. And that’s exactly what she had planned to do.
She remembered the road that led to the La Push reservation like the back of her hand. She had spent so many summer days there while her father worked, and she had been excited every single day she went there. The same excitement she felt as she parked by the beach to wait until the high school let out and she could finally see Jacob.
She found a spot on the beach, sitting on a piece of driftwood, watching as the waves rolled in and out of the shore. Even in winter, the reservation was always just a bit warmer, a bit cozier. (Y/N) had always enjoyed the time she spent there just as much as she loved Forks. She loved going to bonfires and splashing around on the beach. She loved the people that lived there and how welcoming they had always been toward her.
A loud hooting broke (Y/N)’s trance, her head snapping to the right end of the beach, not too far from her, where three boys were shouting from the top of a cliff. They were all tall and of deep-tanned skin, their hair chopped similarly, and something she could only assume was a tattoo on the right biceps of each of their arms. She couldn’t believe they were thinking of jumping into the ice-cold ocean, much less than she could believe how little clothes they were wearing.
Her eyes focused on the way the first one jumped, going straight down with a joyful scream before he slipped effortlessly into the water. He disappeared for a second into the dark waves, before he resurfaced with a cocky grin on his face. As he swam to shore, the second boy jumped and her head snapped to see him plummet just as flawlessly into the water.
“You’re not from around here,” a voice called her attention. It was the first boy. His dark brown hair was dripping, the drops falling onto his bare chest. “I would have remembered a pretty face like yours.”
(Y/N) could feel her cheeks growing red, the warmth that filled her body pooling in her face. “I’m not from around here, you’re right,” she smiled. “I’m from Forks. But I used to come here a lot when I was a kid.”
“And why haven’t you been here since then?”
“I just moved back,” she responded. “I’m (Y/N) Swan.”
“The sheriff’s younger daughter,” he said with a grin, sitting next to her. “I’m Paul Lahote. And on behalf of all the residents of La Push, I formally welcome you back to Washington.”
“Well; thank you, Mr. Lahote,” she chuckled. “It’s good to be back.”
“So, are you back for a visit or are you back for good?”
“And why would that be important information, Paul?” (Y/N) smiled teasingly.
“Well, if you’re just here for a visit then I won’t ask you out,” he smiled deviously. “If you’re here for good, then I’m not leaving until you say yes.”
“What if I say now?”
“I don’t take no for an answer.”
“Good,” she grinned the same way he had. “Because I was going to say yes.”
That very afternoon (Y/N) went home with a smile on her face, a new number in her directory, and a forgotten boy pushed into a dark corner of her brain. Her head had been filled with the image of a new one. Paul Lahote’s face had engrained itself in her, sending a rush of dopamine and serotonin through her body.
It wasn’t long until weeks had passed, and she seemed to be spending more and more time with one Paul. She had started visiting the reservation more and more, but it had never been to see the one person she had promised herself to reconnect with. She was spending her time with the Lahote boy, doing much more than just talking. She was sure that she was falling in love. At least she hoped that’s what it was.
Her schedule had become packed. It had been completely occupied by school, long dates in Port Angeles and the rez, and trying to get her sister out of the funk that had started to make the house reek. (Y/N) had grown tired of it and so had Charlie. Bella needed to make a change, for herself and her family.
Though as more time passed it seemed that Bella had found something to occupy her mind. The older Swan seemed to be in the house less and less, leaving early on weekends and coming home late, mimicking her little sister’s behavior. If she wasn’t at school or at work, she would be out of the house with the one person (Y/N) had seemed to forget.
“Why do you think she hasn’t come see me?” Jake had asked Bella one day as they worked on the motorcycles. “She’s been here almost a full month and I have yet to see her.”
“I don’t really know,” she shrugged. “She’s barely in the house when I’m there and I honestly haven’t asked.”
“I just thought…”
“Why haven’t you gone to see her? When I got here you were one of the first people on the welcoming committee.”
“Yeah, and look how well that turned out for me,” he chuckled dryly. “I just want it to come from her to want to see me. I don’t wanna ambush her.”
“Is this about the little crush you used to have on her when you were kids?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he blubbered.
“It was obvious you two liked each other. You would get so red in the face and nervous when she was around,” Bella laughed. “You would get all flustered and tongue-tied, it was cute.”
“Was it that obvious?”
“A blind person would have seen it,” she grinned. “But it doesn’t matter now.”
“What’re you talking about?” Jake questioned, his brows furrowing in curiosity. “Why doesn’t it matter, Bella?”
“She’s been dating one of Sam Uley’s friends. Uh, Paul Lahote I think he’s called,” Bella responded. She could see anger surging through him, his body shaking slightly with ire. “She basically spends all her time with him. I’m surprised you haven’t run into them here.”
“I haven’t,” he spoke through gritted teeth. “He’s not a good guy, Bella. You need to tell her to stay away from him.”
“You and I both know that no one can tell (Y/N) what to do,” she chuckled slightly. “And why shouldn’t she date whoever she wants? He hasn’t done anything bad to her.”
“But he will,” Jake spat. “Paul Lahote is bad news, and it won’t take long before he breaks (Y/N)’s heart.”
“Why do you care so much, Jake?” Bella pushed, for some reason growing annoyed at her friend. “She’s old enough to do whatever she wants. No, to be with whoever she wants. It’s not really my place to tell her who she can or can’t date.”
“You’re her older sister, Bella!” the boy exclaimed. “Why do I care? Why don’t you care enough?!”
“I do care,” she argued. “But I also know what it’s like when people start to comment on who you can and can’t be with. I’m not doing that to her.”
“So, you wouldn’t stop what happened to you from happening to her?” He was blind with anger now. He had closed any space between them, staring her down. “You would rather let her be heartbroken and try and protect her from getting hurt? You’d rather both of you be miserable than spare her the pain that I know she will be in? You have a chance to spare her heartache, Bella. You owe your sister that much.”
“What about you, Jake?” Bella added, standing her ground, and facing up to him. “Why don’t you tell her that Paul is such a bad guy? Why don’t you spare her all this hypothetical heartache instead of forcing me to do it for you? Or are you too scared to face her since she has someone else to occupy her time?”
“If she hasn’t come to see me, it’s clear she didn’t want to,” he said, his voice clearly broken. “But I am begging you. Tell her. It’s not a matter of how, but when he will do something to hurt her.”
“(Y/N) can make her own decisions,” Bella responded. “Heartbreak is a part of life. She’ll get over it.”
“Like you have?” Jacob called as the girl had started to make her way to her car. “If something goes wrong, it’ll be on you, Bella.”
“No, it’ll be on the both of us.”
But they didn’t know that moment would come sooner than they could have thought.
(Y/N) had not been feeling well for at least a week. Her body felt sore, and her stomach felt uneasy. Nothing she ate stayed down long enough to fill the unbearable hunger she seemed to have. She felt as awful as could be and she was ready to pass out by drinking the cold and flu medicine she was holding in the pharmacy.
But as she perused the aisles of the brightly lit establishment, her eyes fell on the sleuth of pink and purple boxes that were yelling at her. It was a hard thing to fathom, but it was a perfectly plausible explanation to how she was feeling. Her symptoms, and the fact that she had missed her monthly in January, were to the book the thing she was most dreading.
Time seemed to warp as she drove home, two pink boxes buried deep in her purse. One second, she was cowering from the cashier, embarrassed as she placed the boxes on the counter. And the next, she was making a beeline to the bathroom, locking herself inside as her father and sister called for her.
She had never thought five minutes could ever feel so long.
Five minutes and she would know if her whole life was about to change.
Dread was the only feeling that washed over her. As the seconds counted down, she could feel her heart dropping. Deep down, she knew what the answer would be. She knew that when the time was finally over, she would l have to accept her new reality. It was daunting. She was only sixteen and she was on her way to face one of the most life-changing events that anyone could go through.
(Y/N) could have never thought that a pink cross on a piece of plastic could be so permanent. She was holding the pregnancy tests in her hand, the two of them producing a very dark pink plus sign. There was no denying that they were positive. There was no denying that at that very moment, inside her body, was a bundle of cells multiplying to create a baby.
“Hey, kiddo,” Charlie called out from the other side of the door. His voice startled her, making the tests clatter loudly against the sink. “What was that? Is everything okay, (Y/N)?”
“Uh, yeah, dad,” she choked out as she finally opened the door.  “Everything’s fine. Just knocked over the toothbrushes.”
“Are you sure, kid? You look paler than a ghost.”
“I’m fine, dad,” she said, trying her best to give a convincing smile. “I actually just remembered I have to run out for a bit. Miriam just texted me and I forgot to give back her science textbook and she has a test tomorrow. I’m gonna go give it to her.”
“Okay, honey. As long as you’re okay,” he responded. Charlie could tell there was something lingering underneath his daughter’s smile, but he could see how hard she was trying to hide whatever it was. “Be careful on the road, alright? And don’t come home too late.”
“I will. I’ll, uh, see you guys later.”
In an instant, she was back in her truck and speeding down to the reservation. At that moment, she needed Paul’s comfort. She needed him to tell her that everything would be okay, and that they would figure things out together. She craved feeling his warm arms around him and listening to the soft coo of his voice as he calmed her down. All she wanted was him.
She reached the Lahote residence in record time, jumping out of the car and running to the front door. (Y/N) knocked against the blue-painted wood frantically, calling Paul’s name incessantly. She knew his father wouldn’t be home that night, taking night shifts was something he was prone to and that day had not been different. The girl rapped on the door, over and over again, until it finally swung open.
“(Y/N)!” Paul exclaimed in surprise. “What are you doing here, baby? I wasn’t expecting you.”
Overwhelming anxiety burst inside the girl and all she could do to not break down in front of him was to wrap her arms around his waist tightly. “We gotta talk, Paul,” she cried softly. “It’s… I don’t know how it happened l, but… I’m just so scared.”
“What’re you talking about, (Y/N)? You’re not making any sense.”
The youngest Swan couldn’t find the words to tell him. She wanted what she said to be perfect. For there to be no flaw to her monologue that could make him desist of the idea that this was what was meant to happen. That maybe it was a sign that they were always meant to meet and be together for the rest of time.
But a voice suddenly burst the delusion that (Y/N) had built in her head. “Paul, baby, come back to bed,” the voice whined. “Get rid of whoever’s at the door.”
(Y/N) released herself from Paul’s grasp, feeling as though his touch had burned her. He looks like a deer caught in headlights, surprise opening his eyes. “Who is that?” (Y/N) asked sternly, making the boy scramble for words. “Do you have another fucking girl in your room right now, Paul?”
“It’s not what it looks like, (Y/N).”
“Not what it looks like?! She just called you back to bed, baby,” she mocked. “I am pretty sure you’re not in there helping her with homework.”
Paul’s shocked expression didn’t last long. His agape mouth and huge eyes were instantly replaced by a stoic mask. “So, what, (Y/N)?” Paul spat. “I haven’t done anything wrong.”
“Nothing wrong?!” (Y/N) yelled. “You’re cheating on me! How can you think you haven’t done anything wrong?”
“How could I be cheating?” he shrugged. “You and I were never exclusive.”
The girl felt like she had been punched in the stomach. Her chest tightened, squeezing out whatever little breath that was left in her lungs. She felt warm tears fall from her eyes before she could do anything to stop them.
“I thought you actually loved me,” she said with a broken voice. “Did I mean nothing to you?”
“Look, (Y/N), you’re a great girl, but you had to know this was gonna end sooner or later,” Paul said. “Let’s just call this what it is, a fling. We were just having fun.”
“It wasn’t a fling to me! I fell for you, Paul! I loved you.”
“I’m sorry, (Y/N, but  I thought you knew what this was,” he sighed. “We were never gonna last long anyway.”
“I can’t believe this,” she said to herself. “I’m such an idiot. How could I have ever believed you?”
“At the end of the day, I hope we can still be friends.”
Now it was (Y/N)’s turn to be completely aghast. She had borne her heart to him; she had given him her time, her body, her soul. She had trusted that he returned the sentiment, even if it was a fraction of what she felt for him –that would have been enough. But he didn’t. He never had. And he was asking her to remain in his life as a friend with a sickening grin on his face.
She wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, she wanted to claw out that smile he was giving her. Still, deep down, she wanted him to choose her, to want her, to need her. She wanted him to be devastated that he was losing her, devastated that he had hurt her. Instead, he was giving her empty promises of friendships, and devaluing her as nothing more than a way to pass the time. She was carrying his child and he wanted them to be friends.
“You know what, Paul? You can take your friendship and shove it up that girl’s ass,” she spat. “I don’t want you to call me, I don’t wanna see you, I don’t wanna even remember that you exist. You will regret this, Paul. You don’t even know how much right now.”
(Y/N) got into her car, ignoring Paul’s calls of her name. The last thing she wanted was for him to see her cry and revel in the fact that he was the one that had made her spill tears. She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing just how deep her hurt was.
Only when she was in the safety of her truck and far enough away that he couldn’t see her did she allow the water to stream down her cheeks. It was an overwhelming surge of emotions –betrayal, heartbreak, sadness. All she wanted was to not feel that way, not anymore, not ever again.
In her distraction, she didn’t notice the person crossing the street. Only when she was seconds away from crashing into them did she look up and slammed on her brakes. The stranger braced themselves, their hands landing on the hood of her car, their face shielded by the hoodie they wore. Until they raised their head and (Y/N)’s world came crashing down.
The brown eyes that stared at her unmistakably belonged to the one person she had yet to see since she had come back to Forks, Washington. He seemed frozen for a second. Standing there in the middle of the night, staring at a specter from his past. All the questions she’d had about him, answer in a swift second.
Jacob didn’t understand what Sam had meant when he had explained imprinting. The shift in gravity, the way your whole being seems to incline toward that one person. Nothing else matters but them. He thought it was fiction. A way he could explain choosing his ex’s cousin after breaking her heart. But at that very second, he knew just how true it was.
The second he locked eyes with (Y/N) he felt it in the pit of his soul. He was almost sure he could see the way his world had changed, and everything became her, became about her. In that instant, he could feel her sadness. Whatever pain was tormenting her, he could feel it wrenching its way into his own heart. All he wanted was to wrap his arms around her and tell her that everything would be okay.
Instead, he kept quiet. He looked into her tear-streaked eyes, and he ran. He ran until his legs were burning with pain, until his lungs were begging for air, until his whole body hurt to be near her again. He understood Sam, but he didn’t want to. He had even gone as far as trying to force himself to imprint on Bella, that way he could forget the void that (Y/N) had created in his heart.
(Y/N) had avoided him for over a month. She had come home, and she had yet to even show her face to say hello to his father. She had preferred to run to the arms of Paul Lahote and forget the people that cared about her.
Most of his childhood he had hoped for a moment like this with her. A sign from the universe that she was the person meant for him. Even at his young age, he knew what love felt like. Jake had experienced it the moment he laid eyes on (Y/N). But she had made the decision to invest her time with someone he knew would only break her. A guy that would use her until there was nothing left and discard her the second he got bored.
And something told him that’s exactly what Paul had done.
He didn’t know where he was going until he was standing in front of the blue-colored door, banging loudly against it. “Paul!” Jake screamed. “Open this god-dammed door!”
“What the hell is up with people tonight?” Paul grumbled as he swung the door open. “What the hell do you want, Jacob?”
“What did you do to (Y/N)?” the boy said, fuming.
“What’re you talking about, Jake?” Paul pretended. “I haven’t done anything.”
“I just saw her, driving away and absolutely destroyed,” he seethed. “So, I’m gonna ask you again. What the hell did you do to her?”
“Why do you suddenly care about her, Jacob? It’s been over a month, and you haven’t even said hello to her,” he deflected, a mischievous laugh leaving his mouth. “Could it be because you just imprinted on her? Maybe you should be worrying about that rather than trying to pick a fight with me.”
“We’re not talking about me, right now. Now, I’ll be the bigger man and not access your thoughts, because I don’t need them to know what a jackass you are and that you’re the one that hurt her,” Jacob retorted, squaring up to Paul and staring him down. “So, I will ask you one last time before I beat the shit out of you for absolutely no reason, what the fuck did you do to (Y/N)?”
“I just reminded her that what was happening between us was just a bit of fun,” he shrugged, chuckling. “It’s not my fault she built up a whole fantasy in her head about us.”
“She was in love with you, and you broke her heart,” Jake scoffed. “Tell me was it worth it?”
“What was worth it?”
“Losing the best girl you could’ve had by your side all for a night of fun.”
(Y/N) didn’t take much time to dwell on why Jake had run away, or why her heart wrenched tighter as he left. She could only process one thing at a time and the most pressing matter was the fact that she was pregnant, the baby’s father had cheated on her –or sort of cheated—and she was left to decide what to do all by herself.
The second she got back home, she ran up the stairs and into her room. Once more ignoring her father’s calls to her name. She simply wanted to sink into her bed and disappear, to make every bad thing that had occurred in the last hour disappear. If that was only a fraction of how her sister was feeling, she never wanted to know the expanse of that pain. All she wanted was for things to stop.
“Hey, kiddo. Can I come in?” Charlie knocked softly on her door. He couldn’t bring himself to pass the threshold. Not without her confirmation. It wasn’t until she nodded softly, her face mostly shielded by the pillow she held tightly, that he entered the room. “Talk to me, (Y/N), what’s going on? And I’m assuming this isn’t about a textbook.”
“It’s not,” (Y/N)’s broken voice peeped. “I screwed up, dad.”
Charlie sat beside her on the bed, wrapping his arms around her. She shifted her hold from the pillow to her father, enjoying the comforting warmth from his body, allowing it to ease the pain she felt. As she settled against him, he had started rubbing her back, letting her empty herself of tears on him.
“What happened, kiddo?” he said, trying his best to not let his voice break as he stared at his youngest daughter. It was the first time he had seen her so distraught, and it broke him just as much as he had broken when Bella had been in that kind of pain. “I’m sure we can fix whatever it is, but you’ve gotta talk to me, kid. I can’t fix it if you don’t talk.”
“You’re gonna hate me for it,” she sobbed. “And I can’t take you hating me, dad.”
“Honey, there is absolutely nothing in this world you can do that will ever make me hate you,” he said, staring deeply into her reddened eyes, a hand on her wet cheek. “Even if you tell me right now that you’ve killed someone, I could never hate you.”
“You can’t say that, dad,” she chuckled. “You’re the sheriff.”
“No, but it made you laugh,” he smiled. “Now, come on, tell me what’s wrong, (Y/N).”
(Y/N) finally sat up, unable to face her father as she confessed what happened. She could not witness the look of disappointment she was sure would befall on his face. “I found out I was pregnant tonight,” she sighed defeatedly. “I went to see the father when I told you I was going to Miriam’s house, but I caught him cheating and I couldn’t even tell him. And now, I’m pregnant and alone, and I don’t know what to do, dad. I’m so scared.”
Instead of anger and displeasure, her father surprised her by wrapping her in a tight embrace. He cooed her as she sobbed into the hug, letting herself fall apart in Charlie’s arms. She had been so sure that he would yell at her, chastise her for being a stupid child. But he had never been that type of man, and he never would be. “Oh, honey,” he said as he smoothed down her hair. “You’re not alone, kiddo. You’re never going to be alone in anything as long as I’m around.”
“I screwed up, dad,” she cried against his chest. “I don’t know what to do and I’m terrified.”
“Well, we’ll go to the doctor as soon as we can and we can weigh out your options,” he offered. “It’s up to you whether you wanna keep it, if you wanna give it up for adoption, or if you don’t wanna have it at all.”
“I don’t… I don’t think I wanna give it up, dad,” (Y/N) responded sheepishly. It was the first thing she had told herself. No matter what, she wanted to go through the pregnancy –with or without Paul. “Even if I have to do it by myself, I want to have this baby.”
“Again, you’re not alone, kid,” he smiled. “And if keeping the baby is what you want then that’s what we’ll do.”
“He’s right, (Y/N),” Bella added. She joined her father and sister on her bed, a soft smile stretching the corners of her mouth. “I know I haven’t been there for you for a while –I haven’t been me for a while—but you are never alone. You will always have us.”
“That’s right,” Charlie beamed, his two daughters wrapped in his arms. “We’ll take it one day at a time, kid. And let me know the kid’s name. I might have a way to scare him straight. You think a night in a jail cell would do?”
“That’s illegal, Charlie,” Bella laughed. “But, for him, I think it’s worth it.”
“He’s not worth even another thought,” (Y/N) joined. “But thank you for offering, dad.”
“Sure thing, kiddo,” he grinned. “Now, I’ll still make that doctor’s appointment as soon as possible and we’ll see what our next steps are. You’ll also have to tell your mom, but we can do that together. You should get some rest right now.”
“Thanks, dad. For everything.”
“You’re never alone, kid. I love you.”
“Love you too.”
“I’m so sorry this happened, (Y/N),” Bella said as soon as Charlie had left the room. “I should have prevented this.”
“There was no way you could have known, Bells,” she sighed. “Paul is just a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.”
“But I did know. Not about the cheating but that he was a bad guy. Jacob told me.”
At the sound of Jacob’s name, her heart panged. The very boy that had been in her head since she was little. The very boy that had run away from her only an hour before. “Don’t blame yourself,” she added. “I don’t think I would have listened to you. I was so blinded by him that I would have probably fought you about it. It’s on me that I didn’t see the signs.”
“No, (Y/N). It’s on him for being a shitty guy.”
“I guess,” she chuckled. “But I’ve also been a shitty person. I’ve been here for such a long time already and I haven’t gone to see Jake. I’m a horrible friend.”
“Unfortunately, that I can’t spin,” she grimaced. “But so is he. Contact goes both ways, and he hasn’t come to see you either. And he’s been avoiding me for a while too.”
“I saw him tonight,” she added meekly. “I almost ran him over.”
“You did?! What happened?”
“He ran away,” (Y/N) shrugged. “He stared at me for a second and then he ran.”
“That boy needs to stop disappearing like that,” she sighed. “He came over the other night. Told me he was avoiding me for a reason that he couldn’t explain. I’m gonna go confront him about it tomorrow.”
“Can I come? I think seeing you yell at him will cheer me up.”
“I think having you there will make him more nervous,” she grinned at her sister. “And I don’t know if that’s better or worse.”
“Why would he get nervous?” (Y/N) questioned, her curiosity quickly peaking. “It’s just me. Bella’s little sister.”
“Are you serious?”
Bella was staring at her like she had muttered the dumbest words she had heard, but she had only said what she truly believed. Jake had always had a crush on Bella and (Y/N) was just her little sister. “He’s always been in love with you, Bells,” she said. “It’s obvious.”
“Oh my god, you are serious,” Bella said in disbelief. “You know it’s you he’s always been in love with. It's so painfully obvious.”
“What’re you talking about? He was always hanging around you when we were there, he even sought you out when you came to live with Charlie. Sounds to me like he’s always crushed on you.”
“Okay, first of all, the only reason he was always hanging around me was when you were around. He only used me as an excuse,” she retorted. “And when I came to live in Forks you were the first thing he asked me about. He’s been in love with you since we were kids, (Y/N). I honestly can’t believe you never noticed.”
“How could I if I really thought he liked you?” the girl cried as she covered her face in embarrassment. “Oh god, I’m an awful person. The only reason I went after Paul was because I thought I had no chance with Jake. Now I’m definitely never gonna have it.”
“Why not? You’re a great catch.”
“I’m a single pregnant teen that hasn’t even finished high school,” she told her sister. “Sure, great catch.”
“You’re also kind, you’re smart, you’re beautiful, and anyone would be lucky to have you by their side,” Bella said with a smile. “And if Jake can’t see that then he’s not the right guy for you. It’s not like he’s the poster child for perfection.”
“But why would he ever be with me when I tried to replace him with Paul? Jake knew he was a bad guy and that I chose to be with Paul over him.”
“Look, I don’t know how tomorrow’s gonna go, but I think it’s best if you do come with me.”
“Why? What could go wrong?”
“Just rest tonight and I promise everything will be answered tomorrow.”
“Okay,” she responded, still not understanding her sister’s reluctance to answer. “Well then, good night, Bells. I’m grateful you’re my sister.”
“I’m grateful too, (Y/N). Good night.”
“Night.”
The next day couldn’t come soon enough.
(Y/N) had spent the whole night tossing and turning in her bed. The daunting realization that she was growing a human being inside her weighing on her like a thousand bricks. She was set on her decision. She wanted to keep the baby and she would do it without Paul. But he wasn’t the boy that was running through her head anymore. Instead, she could not stop thinking about what Bella had told her. She was still hesitant to believe that Jake loved her. He’d never given her any indication that he did, at least not ones she had noticed.
“Ready to go?” Bella asked, breaking (Y/N) out of her trance. “Got the car all warmed up already.”
“Yeah, just a sec.” The youngest Swan gave herself a once over, trying to look perfect. No, trying to look strong. “I’m ready.”
The sisters talked and laughed like they hadn’t the whole time they had been reunited with each other. They had both led such different lives at that point that it felt like they had abandoned the other. But that wasn’t far from the truth. At the end of the day, they would always have each other’s back.
Bella parked her truck near the Black’s house, killing the engine before she turned toward her sister. “Look, I don’t know how to explain this, but you might hear some things that sound almost made up,” she said. “But they’re not. As crazy as it might sound, they are 100% true.”
“What the hell are you talking about, Bella?”
“I just –ugh—I don’t know how to tell you this without sounding like I’ve lost my mind,” she said, her eyes begging her sister for reassurance. “But, if you really wanna be in Jake’s world, it’s only fair that you know the truth. About him… and even about Paul.”
“Paul? What do you know about Paul?”
“Do you remember the stories Billy used to tell us when we were little?” Bella started, carefully picking her next words. “The stories about the reservation and their ancestors?”
“Vaguely.”
“You remember the stories about wolves and cold ones, right?”
“Yeah,” she chuckled. “But those were just legends and stories to explain the divide between lands. What about them?”
“They’re real, (Y/N),” Bella finally admitted. “Every single thing that they told us is real.”
“Come on, Bella,” the girl smiled, not too convinced by her sister’s words. “You’re telling me that you dated a vampire. And, what? That Paul and Jake are werewolves? That’s completely fantastical. Vampires and werewolves aren’t real. Next thing you’re gonna tell me that the tooth fairy and Santa Claus exist?”
“I’m serious, (Y/N),” she said firmly, her sister’s laughter dying as soon as she looked into Bella’s eyes. “I’ve seen it. It’s real”
“So, you’ve seen Jake turning into a wolf and seen your ex drink blood? What about that doesn’t sound made up?”
“Fine,” she resigned. “If you don’t believe me. Maybe you’ll believe Jake. Now, come on.”
(Y/N) followed Bella to the red cabin, her words swimming around in her mind. Talk about the supernatural had never been something her sister had been interested in, and there she was claiming that it was all real. It couldn’t be. It was just too much.
“We need to see him,” Bella said as soon as Billy opened the door.
His eyes ran from her to (Y/N), thinking over what his response would be. “He’s not in,” the man responded.
But Bella would not give in. She knew better. “Okay, I’m sorry,” she said before stepping aside and pulling (Y/N) with her. “But we really need to see him.”
“Girls!”
(Y/N) didn’t understand what was happening. She felt like she was stuck in a bad dream where no one was making any sense. When her sister opened Jake’s bedroom door and she saw him sleeping, the girl felt her heart squeeze once more in her chest. Ever since their encounter the night before, it hadn’t stopped doing that. It hadn’t stopped calling for him.
“He looks exhausted,” (Y/N) whispered.
“I think I know why,” her sister muttered, her gaze falling on the four figures that were walking up to Jake’s house. “Wait here.”
“What why?” the younger girl questioned before following her sister’s sightline. “Why is Paul here?”
“If you still don’t believe me, you’ll believe me now.”
Bella marched out of the house, leaving her sister reeling with more and more questions.
“She told you,” Billy’s voice startled her. “You don’t believe her.”
His words seemed to want to be questions, but she could tell he was merely stating facts. “How can I, Billy?” she said. “We’re talking about the existence of supernatural creatures right in our backyard. Those things are stories you tell kids to feed their imagination. They can’t be real.”
“It is,” Jake’s voice joined. She turned to face him, any unease dissipating as she looked into his dark eyes. “I promise I’ll explain everything, but right now. I need to make sure your sister doesn’t get hurt.”
“What’re you…?”
Before she could finish talking, she heard her sister yelling outside. She followed Jacob out of the house, all in time to see Bella slapping Paul straight across the face. And everything that happened next seemed to muddle.
Where Paul stood in a split second was a silver-furred wolf baring its teeth toward her sister. Then, Jacob ran past her, jumping over Bella and transforming into a russet-colored wolf himself. The same wolf she had seen in her dream. The two animals fought each other, all teeth and claws, all snarls and growls. Even as it happened before her, it was still just as unbelievable.
Once the two wolves had disappeared into the tree line, did the older man of the group speak up. He told Jared and Embry –the two boys she had met that fateful day on the beach—to take her and Bella back to someone’s, named Emily, place. The duo quickly followed orders, jumping into the bed of Bella’s truck, never looking over to (Y/N).
The older Swan motioned for her sister to join them, telling her to get back in the car. But (Y/N) was still reeling. She still felt like she was trapped in a harrowing nightmare, waiting for the second she would wake up. All she could think of was the dream that had shaken her as she arrived in Forks. Because it hadn’t been a dream. It had been a premonition.
(Y/N) had yet to say a word, simply following the others to know what to do. Whatever they said or did, she wasn’t sure. The world around her had blurred and nothing made sense. At that moment, all she wanted was to know that Jacob was okay. The very fabric of what she knew reality to be had been changed and all she wanted to do was make sure that he was safe.
She didn’t even notice when she had entered the little house. Her gaze was far away, her mind completely disassociated from the situation. Emily, who she now knew was Sam’s fiancée and she couldn’t stare at, had offered her food or something to drink, but she couldn’t even respond. She simply shook her head and sunk into the background.
Everyone was speaking of werewolves and vampires like it was the most normal thing in the world, but it wasn’t, and (Y/N) knew that. And it seemed that Emily could tell that the girl was finding the information hard to digest.
“It gets easier,” she told her, breaking her out of her trance. “I know right now it might seem like nothing makes sense, but you get used to it.”
“I just saw two men rip their skin and turn into massive wolves,” (Y/N) finally spoke. “Don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.”
“I know how you’re feeling. When Sam told me for the first time, I was sure he had lost her mind,” she smiled. “Something tells me that once Jacob talks to you a lot of things will click into place.”
As Emily handed her a glass of water, Sam walked into the house, kissing her deeply. They were the definition of being in love. She couldn’t help but feel it when she saw them. It was what she had always dreamed of, and it was what she thought she had with Paul until the night before. It was what she had once wanted with Jacob too.
After Sam came Paul and Jacob. They were wearing matching scowls, walking as far from each other as possible. Paul entered the house, his eyes never landing on (Y/N)’s. Suddenly, the house went eerily quiet. Now knowing that they all shared thoughts, the girl knew that everyone was aware of what had happened between her and Paul.
(Y/N) felt like the walls were closing in on her and the looks of pity all the guys had given her finally made sense. She could barely breathe, and her heart hammered harshly in her chest. She needed to get out, she couldn’t be in the same space as him. Not right now. She tried to stumble out of the house, clutching at whatever she could to stabilize her body.
“Hey, (Y/N),” Bella tried to draw her attention, following her sister outside. “You’ve gotta breathe.”
But she couldn’t. Her lungs were aching, and her throat felt tight. Already, her vision was blurry with tears “I-I… I gotta…”
“Breathe, (Y/N). Breathe.”
“I can’t,” she struggled. “I-I… I can’t.”
Then, warm arms were wrapping around her, a hand running through her hair. “You’re okay, (Y/N),” Jake whispered. “I need you to breathe with me, okay?”
She nodded softly, her sobs choking her. Still, she followed the movement of Jacob’s chest, taking shaky breaths in and blowing them out seconds after. They could have been there forever and (Y/N) would have never known how much time had actually passed. But at some point, her breathing stabilized and she felt like her body was functioning properly.
“There you go,” Jacob smiled. “See? You’re okay.”
“I think I’m going crazy,” she chuckled dryly. “Nothing makes sense.”
“Let’s go for a walk, okay?” She nodded in response. “We’ll talk later, Bella.”
“Yeah, go ahead,” she said. “Make sure she’s okay. I have some words for someone else right now.”
Jake and (Y/N) walked side by side, neither daring to say the first word. The truth was, there was just too much unsaid between them and they had no idea where to start. There had already been so much change in a day that they didn’t know how much they could take.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N),” Jake finally spoke. “Firstly, for the way you found out about all of this. And secondly, for me running away last night. I’m sure you have a million questions.”
“I do,” she chuckled, staring down at the way the creek they were walking through rushed beneath her feet. “But I also want to apologize for not going to see you as soon as I got her. I actually tried… that’s when I met Paul.”
“You have nothing to apologize for, (Y/N). I didn’t seek you out either and I’ve been beating myself about it ever since,” he sighed. “I should have told you about Paul. I should have protected you from him, but I didn’t, and he broke your heart.”
“It’s not on you, Jake. It’s not on anyone but him. He knew what he was doing and that’s that,” she said. “But I don’t really want to talk about him. I want to know about everything else. You’re a werewolf.”
“Last time I checked, yeah,” he chuckled. “Only a few people in the tribe have the gene. It gets triggered when there are vampires in the area.”
“Bella’s ex and their family.”
“Yeah, and any that are passing by,” he confirmed. “Our job is to protect people from them. We keep it a secret because of the treaty our ancestors made with them decades ago. We can’t reveal their identity and we can’t reveal ours without revealing theirs. And people can’t fear what they don’t know of. ”
“Then, did they break the treaty by telling Bella?”
“They didn’t tell her about us, I kind of did,” he continued. “I was ordered to cut ties with her, but I couldn’t so I pointed her in the direction of the truth. She found out all by herself.”
“So, Bella knowing I understand. She already had knowledge of this whole world from that Edward guy,” (Y/N) started. “But why me? Why am I allowed to know all this? It can’t possibly be because she took me to your place. Billy would have stopped me from going outside but he didn’t.”
Jacob stopped in his tracks. That was the moment the truth needed to come out. He had to confess everything he’d ever felt for her and how the universe had decided to make it an unbreakable thing. All he hoped was that she didn’t push him away after.
“Being a shifter comes with more things than the ability to transform into a wolf,” he started, finally facing her. “You get superhuman strength and speed; you heal faster; you basically stop aging. And you gain the ability to imprint on someone.”
“Imprint?” (Y/N) questioned looking into his eyes for the first time since she had left the cabin. “What is that?”
“In the simplest of terms, it’s basically the moment you lay eyes on your soulmate,” he continued. His heart was beating faster, and he was sure his skin was flushing to a deep shade of red. “It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like gravity shifts all of a sudden. You’re not bound to the earth anymore, you’re bound to that person. You become whatever they need. A friend, a brother, a partner.
When I ran into you last night, when you almost ran me over with your car…”
“Sorry about that,” she chuckled. “That would have been horrible bad luck. To run you over with a car you fixed.”
“Eh, I would have healed,” he smiled. He was glad to see her lighter. Her laughter, the most beautiful music to his ears. “But when we looked into each other’s eyes I imprinted on you. That’s why I ran. That and the fact that I knew Paul had hurt you. I could feel your pain and your sadness, and as much as I wanted to comfort you, I needed to give him a piece of my mind.
But I should have stayed with you. I should have told you everything that I’m about to tell you now.
I love you, (Y/N). I’m in love with you and I have been since I even knew what love was. I have wanted to tell you since I gave you that whittled wolf I made, but I never had the courage to. And even if you don’t feel the same for me, I need you to know that, with or without the imprint bond, you have been and always will be it for me. My heart has been yours since the moment our dad’s brought us together and it will be yours until the day I die.”
Tears were now falling from (Y/N)’s eyes. She had waited for so long to hear those words and it made her heart swell as she finally did. But she feared he would take them back as soon as she told him the truth. Imprint bond or not, no teenager wanted to become a father, especially of someone else’s baby.
“You say that because you don’t know everything,” she sobbed, turning her back to him. “There’s another reason why I was crying last night that has nothing to do with Paul cheating.”
“(Y/N), nothing you say will change what I feel for you,” Jake said, running his hands over her arms. He tried to turn her back around, but she wouldn’t budge. “What is it, huh? Just tell me, (Y/N).”
“I’m pregnant, Jake,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “And I’m keeping it. And Paul has no idea. I went to tell him as soon as I found out and caught him with someone else. I don’t even know if he would care that the baby is his.”
“Is that all?” Jacob asked softly. “You think that’s enough to change my mind?”
“It would change anyone’s mind, Jake!” (Y/N) flipped around. Her eyes were red and streaming out tears faster than she could stop them. “We’re only sixteen. The last thing in our minds should ever be starting a family. We should be thinking about what college we’re going to or what countries we want to see, not about shitty diapers and feeding schedules.
What is happening is happening to me. I’m the one that’s pregnant and I can’t burden you with someone else’s child. I can’t do that to you. Why would you ever be okay with any of this?”
“Because it’s you,” he smiled. “And why do you think you or that baby could ever be a burden to me?” His hand cradled her cheeks, his thumbs wiping away the streaks that stained her skin. “I want everything that comes with being with you. The good, the bad, and the ugly. You’re all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). And I meant it when I said that there’s absolutely nothing you could do or say that would change that.”
“But I can’t do that to you,” she repeated, her voice breaking in pain. “I can’t do that to someone I love.”
Jacob’s mouth stretched into a wide smile, his eyes searching hers for any sign of deception, but it wasn’t there. All he saw was a girl in love that had been broken by someone else. “You love me?” he asked happily. “Is that what you said?”
“Of course, I love you, Jake,” she smiled softly, the tears still falling from her eyes. “I’ve loved you for so long it hurts. And that’s why it’ll hurt more to let you go.”
“(Y/N), I need you to listen to me and know in your heart that what I am telling you is the absolute truth,” he said lovingly but sternly. He needed her to believe him. He had lost her once and he would never do it again. “I want you. I want all that comes with being with you. I want to be there when you start showing; I want to be there when you go to the doctor; I wanna be there when that baby comes into this world, and I will be there every moment after. I will love that child as if it was mine because it’s part you –it’s already perfect.”
“You really mean that,” she smiled. Her hands were placed on his chest, her eyes gazing into the dark brown of his. “Why? Why do you care about me so much? I don’t deserve it.”
“You deserve the entire universe, (Y/N),” he beamed. “You deserve love and happiness, and I know I can give that to you.”
All the younger girl could do was smile as she stared up at him. If she had been dreaming, she did not want to wake up. Not now. Not after the nightmare was over. She needed to prove to herself that she was awake.
She stood on her tiptoes, stretching as far as she could while she pulled Jacob down by his shirt. She crashed her lips onto his and allowed herself to get lost in that moment. Everything around them stopped. The ocean had quieted, the wind had stopped blowing, and the sun had stopped beating on their skin. It was them and only them at that moment, surrounded only by their love and affection for each other.
“Thank you, Jake,” she smiled as they finally broke apart, their foreheads pressing against each other. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hear those words.”
“I think I have some idea,” he chuckled. “I have been waiting since we were kids to tell you.”
“Maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess if either of us had,” she teased. “But, honestly, I would have it any other way.”
“I love you, (Y/N),” he said before kissing her once more. “I love you today, tomorrow, and forever.”
“Well, I love you more. And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to show you just how much.”
As they walked back to the cabin, Jake’s arm draped over her shoulders, (Y/N) stopped in her tracks suddenly.
“What’s wrong?” Jake worried. “You feeling okay?”
“I haven’t thought of this, but what if Paul does want to be in this baby’s life? I mean, he has no idea that I’m pregnant.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he smiled. “If he does, he’ll have a lot to make up for. And I’ll make sure he is very apologetic for what he’s done.”
“You can’t just go around fighting him you know?” (Y/N) laughed.
“Don’t worry. He knows not to confront me with his fists –or paws—anymore.”

request: could you do a pt 3 to ‘unexpected’ where the reader goes into labor and seth helps her through it? like super fluffy and sue is there helping out as her midwife and theyre all just so cute and happy to be helping y/n give birth
notes: so much fluff and love, my teeth are rotting
warnings: birth??
links to part 1 and 2
you were nine months pregnant with the one and only seth clearwater’s baby and were currently anxiously awaiting the baby’s arrival. sue had you staying home and resting while you waited while seth kept you busy with decorating the nursery.
as much as you had enjoyed your pregnancy, you were getting frustrated with how difficult it was to do anything and couldn’t wait to finally be able to hold your baby. you were laying in bed with seth, it was about 10 pm and you couldn’t get comfortable. you had been having incredibly inconsistent contractions for about 24 hours now and weren’t dilating at all so sue had assured you it was just false labor and your body’s way of getting ready for birth.
you had just rolled onto your side so seth could spoon you. although he was sound asleep, he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest before taking his free hand and gently rubbing at your belly. you sighed softly, closing your eyes and tried to drift off so you could at least get some sleep.
you had drifted off for maybe 10 minutes when another contraction woke you up, this time though it was stronger than the others and you whimpered, shimmying yourself out of seth’s grip so you could sit up and get more comfortable while you waited out the contraction. at the movement, seth woke up, “what’s wrong?” he murmured worriedly, sitting up and rubbing at his eyes in an attempt to wake himself up more.
you whimpered, “just a bad contraction,” you murmured, letting out a sigh of relief as it started to pass, “i think i need to move around or something. she’s kicking like crazy.” you explained and he nodded, running his hand up and down your back soothingly before pressing a kiss to the crown of your head.
“let me help you.” he cooed, getting up and coming over to your side of the bed to help you up. you smiled, taking his hands and allowed him to help you stand up.
once your feet hit the ground you felt a sharp pain in your abdomen followed by the feeling of water trickling down your legs and you let out a loud whimper, leaning into seth so he could support your weight, “another contraction?” he asked softly, rubbing his hand up and down your back.
“my water.” you winced, pressing your hands to his chest and took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down.
“your water?” he reiterated, “your water broke?” he asked again and you nodded, looking up at him worriedly before another contraction rolled through you and you whined, closing your eyes and attempting to breathe through it while seth held you up.
“okay, you’re okay, you’re okay.” he cooed, gently rocking you side to side in an attempt to help you work through the contraction.
after about 45 seconds, the contraction faded and you looked up at him nervously, “can you call your mom?” you asked softly and he nodded, helping you sit down on the edge of the bed while he went to grab his phone.
about 30 minutes after he had called sue, she arrived and informed you that you were officially in active labor and were dilated to a whopping 7 centimeters.
over the course of the next few hours your contractions became more intense. as you worked through the contractions, you were starting to wonder if your non-medicated home-birth idea was the way to go. you were leaned into seth’s chest, allowing him to support your weight and rock you back and forth as you worked through your most intense contraction yet when you started to panic.
“i don’t think i can do this.” you whimpered, tears filling your eyes as you looked up at him.
“i know can pretty girl,” he reassured, “you’re almost done, yea? just gotta push her out now. do you feel like you need to push yet?” he asked softly, sliding his hand under your shirt to rub his hand up and down your back soothingly.
you shook your head, “i don’t know. it just hurts all the time-” you whined, whimpering loudly as another contraction rolled through you causing you to squeeze your eyes shut and tighten your fists on the thin fabric of his t-shirt.
“okay, okay, take some deep breaths,” he cooed, “you gotta let yourself stretch, yea?”
you whined, tightening your fists on his t-shirt at the thought, “i want to push,” you groaned, looking over your shoulder to sue, “how do i push? i want her out.”
sue smiled at you, nodding, “alright why don’t we get you laid down so you can try?”
you nodded, seth and sue helping you sit down in between seth’s legs, “okay seth can you hold her legs back?” sue asked and he nodded, helping pull your legs back so you could start pushing.
“okay honey so it looks like you’re just under 10 centimeters but if you feel like you need to push then i want you to push during your contractions, yea?” sue asked softly and you nodded, gripping seth’s forearms as another contraction rolled through you and you tried to push, quickly giving up when you felt the intense burning sensation.
“it hurts-” you whimpered, looking at sue nervously who nodded.
“it’s gonna feel like that until you push her out, okay? i want you to focus on your breathing, yea? i don’t want you focusing on the pain or else you’re gonna get overwhelmed.” she explained and you whimpered, leaning back against seth’s chest.
seth pressed his lips to the crown of your head, “you’re doing so good babe.” he cooed, thumbs rubbing soothing circles against your legs as you all waited for another contraction so you could push.
you closed your eyes, focusing on your breathing like sue suggested, “there you go honey. just listen to your body, yea? you’ll know when you need to push.” sue encouraged and you nodded, taking a deep breath and pushing as the next contraction rolled through you.
“that’s exactly what i’m looking for,” sue smiled encouragingly as you collapsed back against seth’s chest taking in deep breaths, “did you feel that one? that was a great push.”
you nodded breathlessly, “how many more times do i need to do that?” you asked softly, gripping seth’s forearms nervously.
“well,” sue started, seeming to think thoughtfully about it for a moment before continuing, “you’ve had a pretty fast labor so far so probably not too much more. if you keep pushing like that i think she’ll be here within the hour.” she explained, smiling softly at you.
you nodded, not particularly excited that you’d need to keep doing this for the next hour but couldn’t focus too much on that because the next contraction started to roll through you.
over the next - very painful - 45 minutes you had managed to nearly get your baby to crown when you started to hit a mental block. the pain was much worse than you’d imagined and you were nearly in a complete panic mode, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried to catch your breath in between contractions.
seth was gently cooing encouraging things to you, pressing soft kisses to your hair in between contractions as sue monitored you and the baby from her spot between your legs.
“seth i can’t do this-” you whimpered, weakly trying to push his hands off your legs.
“hey, hey, look at me-” seth let go of your thighs and instead cupped your jaw with his hand so he could have you look at him. you hadn’t been focusing on him that much but he looked nearly as distraught at you, “you’re doing great, yea? you’re right there babe. just a few more pushes and you’re gonna have her out, okay?” he encouraged and you whimpered, nodding as he brushed your tears away with his thumbs.
“‘m so proud of you right now. you’re doing amazing.” he cooed, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, “now i want you to push our baby out, yea?” he asked softly and you nodded again, taking a deep breath with him before he let go of your jaw and grabbed ahold of your legs again so you could push.
you looked at sue who offered you a soft smile, “he’s right you know,” sue laughed softly, “you’re right there honey.” she cooed encouragingly and you nodded, sucking in another deep breath as your next contraction rolled through you and you pushed.
the pain of crowning was much worse than you’d imagined it would be and nearly had you screaming. instead, you opted to do as sue suggested and put that into your pushes. “there you go y/n-” sue encouraged, “keep pushing and her head is gonna be all the way out in just a second.”
you whimpered loudly, nodding, and continued pushing through the pain until the contraction finished, “great job honey, her head is out.” sue cooed excitedly, “do you want to feel her?” she asked, smiling softly at you as you nodded.
she took your hand, gently guiding you so you could place your hand on your daughter’s head, “that’s my baby?” you whimpered, another wave of tears streaming down your cheeks as sue nodded.
“yea, that’s your baby honey.” she cooed gently, smiling at you as seth pressed a soft kiss to the soft spot behind your ear.
“just a few more pushes and you’re gonna be able to hold her, yea?” seth encouraged, smiling at you as you nodded, taking another deep breath as your final contraction came on.
you whimpered loudly, leaning back into seth’s chest, your grip on his forearms tightening as sue helped you push your baby out. suddenly the pressure vanished and you heard a loud wail from your baby followed by sue placing your baby girl on your chest.
“oh my god-” you whimpered, collapsing into seth and immediately wrapping your arms around your baby and cooing to her.
you heard seth let out a sigh of relief from behind you as he released his grip on your thighs and wrapped his arms around you and your baby. “you did so good honey.” sue cooed, smiling at you as you looked up at her.
“thank you.” you whispered to her hoarsely, tears of happiness continuing to stream down your cheeks as you held your baby to your chest.
seth pressed another kiss to your hair, “‘m so proud of you babe.” he cooed, “look how pretty she is. you did such a good job.” he mused as you looked up at him.
“thank you-” you murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
he chuckled, “you’re the one that just pushed her out, pretty girl,” he cooed, “i should be thanking you.” he teased, pressing another soft kiss to your lips.
you smiled, turning your attention back to your daughter who had calmed down and was now relaxed against your chest under yours and seth’s hands.
“she’s so tiny.” you murmured, gently stroking her head with your thumb as you processed the fact that you were finally holding your baby.
seth chuckled, nodding, “you have no idea how proud i am of you right now.” he mused, pressing a gentle kiss to the crown of your head.
you giggled, blushing, “couldn’t have done it without you.”

Paul Lahote - Hormones
Tumblr media
Requested by: Anonymous. A sexy, protective Paul moment.
W/N: I didn't really know what kind of protective you wanted to go for, so I made it a Paul × pregnant! Imprint reader. I hope that's fine!
PAUL'S POV
Today has been one of La push hotest days in years. So I and my beautiful Y/N are currently enjoying the warming sun as much as possible, meanwhile the pack are having fun in the water. Emily is also here, but she sits a few meters away from me and Y/N together with Sam. I guess they wanted a little private moment, just like we did.
"Hey babe, can you help me put some sunlotion on my back?" Y/N asks turning to me as I am laying down on the big blanket her and I share. She is currently smearing in her beautifully swollen pregnant belly as I sit up next to her, taking the bottle out of her hand. I unclasp her brastrap before I start putting lotion on her back and shoulders.
Y/N is my imprint, we met two years ago in a library. I know you all might be wondering what I did there, because I'm not the type of guy to even look at a book. And well, I had a bet with the guys that said I never in a million years would be able to actually finish reading a book. And so I took the bet, thinking I easily could earn a few bucks, AND actually finish a whole book. But as soon as I stepped inside she stod there, and by that time I barley even knew my name as I approached her. So to sum up the story: No, I didn't even get a book that day, and I sadly enough had to give each one of the guys 5 dollars for losing the bet. But on the brighter and more important side, I got her. And a half year later she became mine. Now, two years later we are six months pregnant and engaged. I can't wait to have a family with her.
"There you go beautiful" I say placing a kiss just above her ear before I clasp the bra strap again. Then she turns back around, meeting my eyes with hers.
"Thank you." She smiles putting her hand on my shoulder, sending shivers trough my spine as if it is the first time we touched. I lean in for a kiss she soon answers, placing herself on top of me as I place my hands on her big belly.
As our tounges play with eachother and her hands plays with my hair, I can't help but let out a moan. She giggles at my reaction as I open my eyes again to meet her gaze.
"Not here Paul" She smiles making me smile whilst biting my lip. I lean closer to her ear, whispering so that she is the only one that can hear.
"later then?" I ask longingly leaving a wet kiss just under her ear, at her sweet spot making her take a firmer grip around my shoulders to accidently not let out a moan. "Definetly" She breathes pushing herself even more on to me, so that I feel her chest against mine.
"Hey guys, you don't wanna come and swim with us? The waters wonderful" Embry all suddenly asks standing a few meters away from us. Together with him stands also Seth, Brady and Collin, all of them dripping of water. As if Embry were to read my mind he then shakes of the water from his dripping hair like a wet dog, hitting both Y/N on her back and me on my legs with it. As soon as the cold water hits Y/N's back, she screams, making anger burst up in me.
I growl at Embry before focusing back on Y/N, making sure she doesn't have to get more cold then he already made her. So i take the closest fabric I find, to dry of my imprints now wet back. Y/N then gets of my lap, giving Embry a angry look before taking the towel from me, drying of her arms i now also realise he wetted.
"No thank you Embry, I think I'll just stay here with Paul." She says irritated putting away the towel before looking back at me. I nod agreeingly at her words as I turn my gaze back to the now 4 staring boys. As I look back at Y/N, realizing exactly what they were looking at, I quickly stand up walking over to my four pack mates as anger is running through my veins, making me wanna burst out into a wolf.
"Why are you looking at my imprints body like that? Huh? She isn't yours."I growl making Embry look up at me with frightened eyes as I hear my imprint speak behind me.
"A little help please?" Y/N says trying to get on her feet, but failing miserably. I give the four boys one last angry look before walking back to my girl, helping her stand up since shes having a hard time doing so herself.
"What is happening, what did they do?" She asks as i once again turn back to the boys, all four with their gazes in the sand, probably afraid that I'll hurt them othervice.
"They looked at your breasts."I speak honestly as her face goes from blank to a frown in milliseconds.
"Thats not very nice." She says before sighing. "But if they wanna look I guess I'll just have to let them. I'm not gonna cover up." She says waiting for me to agree, but I don't.
"You are mad at them, aren't you?" Ske asks as i nod determinely. "Okey then, go cuss them out while I go sit down with Sam and Emily. Is that okey baby?" Her voice is soft as she places her hand on my cheek, looking calmly into my eyes while doing so. I nod.
"Fine. You'll go kick their asses, and in ten minutes you'll be back by my side. Okey?" She wonders as I take her hands in mine, giving her a kiss on her forehead. "Yes, ten minutes, tops." I answer giving her a last kiss before running after the four younger packmates I realise already have started running away from me.
Y/N's POV
As I walk over to Sam and Emily, I see Paul running after the group of 4 whilst they run towards the forest, probably hoping to get away from him by hiding behind the big trees. "I guess you already have heard everything" I speak whilst Sam helps me sit down next to Emily. In the same motion, Emily turns to me.
"Yes we did, has this ever happened before? I mean the guys is usually pretty respectful, atleast with packmates imprints." Emily's voice is concerned as she speaks, making Sam also turn towards our direction while listening to our conversation.
"No, never. I mean the guys are even afraid of hugging me sometimes when they know Paul is having a bad day. This is so unlike them" I explain as Emily nods at my statement.
"It's the hormones. You are pregnant with a wolf's baby, it drives every unmated wolf insane." Sam explains looking at his own imprint, probably understanding why both Paul but also the others reacted like they did. I furrow my brows.
"Wait, it's a dominance thing? They wanna have sex with me since Paul already has?" My voice sounds surpriced as I ask, but Sam directly nods. "Yeah, kind of. But not like they ever would do anything to you, or even look at it that way. It's just our genes telling us that if a girl is suitable to have our babies, and it shows since she already is carrying one, it makes our genes tell us that she is perfect for mating." He continues as I raise my brows in shook.
"This is absolute news to me. Wow. But they would never try to do anything, right?" I ask as Sam shakes his head. "No you are Pauls imprint, as much as their hormones tell them that you are suitable, they also know that if they touch you Paul will fight them to death. So don't worry, this was probably a one time thing." He tells me holding his gaze at Emily whilst she smiles at him. I bite at my lip as I nod, facing the ocean. It actually sounds pretty understandable, the whole hormone thing. Atleast if you belive in the whole idea about where imprints carry the best genes to make a future wolf.
A few minutes later, maybe five, Paul together with the rest of the guys approach us again. All four of the younger wolves carry the biggest bruises I have ever seen. Meanwhile Paul looks just as unharmed as when he left. I guess they took their punishment without complaints.
"Hey Beautiful, these guys has something to tell you." Paul walks over to me before he sits down beside me. I nod at his statement before turning my gaze to the nervous four boys standing in line in front of us.
"We are sorry that we looked at you in that way, and it will never happen again." All four of them says in a choir as Paul takes my hand in his. I smile at them.
"It's fine guys, I'm not mad at you. Now go and play in the water while it's still warm" I say as all of them do as spoken, while Paul is already looking at me from the side.
"I'm sorry myself, I don't know what flew into them but I hope it never happeneds again." He says putting his arms around me as I put my head on his shoulder, enjoying each second I have with him.
"It's fine Paul. I guess it's just hormones, and sometimes they are hard to control. I'm fine Paul, really." He kisses my head as I am speaking, stroking my big belly with his hand as I can feel the baby kick inside of me, making both me and Paul smile.
"I love you beautiful" He says, making me look up at him. I smile at his words placing both of my hands on his cheeks, leaning in before I kiss him on his lips. "I love you too handsome"

40 Weeks Chapter 2
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Tumblr media
The drive to the beach was nice. The car moved fluidly on the road that was thankfully not icy today. Though I wasn’t sure I would have this kind of luck tomorrow, I prayed that I would.
Pulling up to La Push’s beach was like an out of body experience. I didn’t even know where I was going, I just let my gut lead the way. Like something was pulling me here. I smiled seeing that the sun was still up and there was a sunset that I could capture with my watercolors perfectly. This was the perfect setting for a nice relaxing evening. I hopped out of the car and noticed three other cars pull up and park, thankfully not next to me.
I quickly grabbed my bag and shuffled to the sand, I waddled my way through the sand and listened to the people behind me. What was a huge group of people doing out here on a Sunday afternoon? Was this just the perfect weather to come to the beach or something? No, way too cold. Especially teens, a majority of them look like they are sixteen to seventeen. Similar to me. So why were they out at this time of day right before school tomorrow? Maybe I’m looking too deep into it. I thought to myself. No, I need to be cautious, I have more than just me to think about now.
Still aware of my surroundings I sat on the sand and pulled everything out of my bag. I began sketching and painting the beautiful sky and the gorgeous sunset that was in front of me. We didn’t see things like this from my city.
Everything was peaceful for almost ten minutes. The group of people that arrived at the beach looked like locals. They were definitely used to the weather because they wore jorts and tank tops. Some even didn’t have shirts. I eyed this group from the side, trying not to be too obvious.
Two girls, the rest were dudes from what I could see. Wait, is that Emily? I wanted to stand up and say hi, ask her how she was doing and meet her friends but instead I quickly looked away. I was more than nervous to meet all of those people, the only time that I could ever be that confident is if I was high. But of course I couldn’t do that anymore.
Instead I sat there, ignoring the huge group of presumably close friends, and painted till a ball came flying at me and my shit. I cringed when the ball almost hit my piece and my head at the same time. I was sketching with the paper so close to my face that I might as well have been glued to the page itself.
“Jared! You need to be more careful man! I am so sorry, are you okay?” A young teen came running up to me. He looked around 14 - 15. A little younger than me, I  was 17, almost 18. “Please ignore my friend, he kicks and doesn’t care where the ball flies. I’m Seth by the way, what's your name?” He spoke fast, like he wasn’t used to having people listen to him. Seth had a huge smile on his face, he looked kind at heart, like the world was treating him right. His smile was infectious. I gave him a small smile, one that I could muster.
“y/n, nice to meet you Seth. I would shake your hand but I am currently covered in paint.” I tried to sound casual and not nervous, though it was hard. A couple other kids ran up to me, a girl my age, the boy that kicked the ball, and a boy who also looked to be my age. The girl whose name I would later learn to be Leah, seemed to have a permanent glare on her face. The boy that kicked the ball, Jared, seemed playful with his friends but not open to me. And the boy who looked to be my age, Paul, looked me in the eyes and was dogging me down.
He had this look on his face, hard to describe, but the best way to explain it would be to say he was reminiscing on something. Like he saw his life flash before his eyes and everything was perfect, like everything made sense. “Hi,” Paul said, sounding like a fucking idiot. I liked that. “Hi,” I replied as I tried to match his energy. “I’m Paul, nice to meet you.” He said as if he sobered up within a couple seconds. “I’m y/n, nice to meet you too. Uh don’t worry about kicking the ball out here it’s not a big deal-”
“Want to come eat with us? Emily makes really good food, she’s the woman over there very very nice. We have a ton of food to spare so you know you can help yourself.” Seth said, seeming to be onto something that I wasn’t.
“Uhm sure, I can’t stay long, I've got to be back soon,” I said, hoping to make some friends outside of school. Maybe this would be a good thing.
The night moved by quickly. I met Sam, Emily’s fiance, Leah, Jared, Jacob, Quill, and Embry. They were all friendly. Welcoming even, like I had always been a part of their group. It was weird, but comforting in a way.
Paul hovered around me all night. Not like I minded, it was nice having someone care for me, someone other than my usual crowd.
After some time I looked down at my clock and realized I had 20 minutes to get home. I hopped up off of one of the lawn chairs Paul grabbed for me, and rushed to grab my things. Paul looked at me worriedly and confused, it was like a fucking truck hit me or something.
“Sorry guys, I have to get going, curfew. Look here is my number if you guys want to hang out again, cool! I’ll see you later!” I quickly snatched up my bag after writing my number on a page of sketchbook paper and I rushed away from the group and to my car.
I not only made it back home safely, but I made it with 5 minutes to spare. I was one lucky mother fucker.
One thing that I didn’t notice was the gigantic wolf running alongside my car, like my own personal gradian angel.
After bursting through the door and telling my grandparents good night I rushed up the stairs and into my room.
I finally relaxed when I was in my own bedroom. I set my things down on my bed and started to grab some clothes so that I could take a shower. I made sure not to get my hair wet as it was not a wash day, and only scrubbed down my body. After I was done I rubbed lotion on my body with some nice smelling strawberry lotion, it was starting to grow on me. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I was more than lucky to have this luxury while I was here, and I moved to go to bed.
By the time I managed to lay down and get comfortable my phone vibrated on the nightstand. I groaned as I rolled over to grab it and noticed 2 texts from my little sister and 1 text from an unknown number.
First I replied to my sister, telling her how I was and that I would send her money soon. I pointed her in the direction of a couple well paying jobs that I knew would hire her (I had connections) and told her that a couple of my friends would be checking on her and my other siblings every week.
I had been saving up for the past couple years to buy a house near my grandparents, far away from my parents, and a place that they would never guess my little siblings would be. They were too stupid to guess I would be right under their noses anyways.
I decided years ago that when I turn 18 I will buy a house and get custody of my siblings. Thanks to my well paying job and some friends, I had more than enough money to support them and buy a house. Now all I have to do is wait.
Then I opened the message from the unknown number. It said “Hey this is Paul. Just wanted you to know this is my number :)”
A comforted smile grew on my face. Looks like I made a friend. Happily I replied to him with a simple hi and smiley face and crashed.
The next morning I was up nearly an hour and a half early for school. Normally I wouldn’t be up this early unless I was working, but my grandma wanted me up and ready for the day ahead. I got dressed in a pair of jeans, long socks (that did not match) and a cute long sleeve white shirt with a thick brown jacket over it. I grabbed my backpack after brushing my teeth and washing my face and slowly moved downstairs. All the energy from yesterday left me like there was no tomorrow. I sat down at the dining room table and ate whatever my grandmother put in front of me. Which so happened to be french toast and eggs, according to her it was a “Big day!” and “We need to celebrate after you come home!”
I could practically feel the anxiety rushing through my veins, I had no idea what to do. This was my first time in school for years and I was just supposed to waltz in there and act like I’ve done this shit before? Christ I was a junior taking junior level classes that I was not prepared for at all!
After eating I got into the blue truck and drove my ass to school. I was more than 40 minutes early, but that would give me time to walk around and find all my classes. So it wasn’t such a bad thing, right?
Pulling up to the school was terrifying, but I collected myself and hopped out of the truck. Everyone's eyes were already on me, but I squared my shoulders and held my head high. Just like my boss taught me. And I walked into the office to get my schedule, books, and make my way to class.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your body slid down the kitchen wall as you painfully sobbed holding your swollen belly. Your cried and cried letting hot tears spill down your puffy cheeks. Not long after you heard quick foot stepped approaching the kitchen.
“Baby what’s wrong?! A-are you hurt!?” Your husband asked frighten as he squatted down beside your limp body on the floor.
“We- it’s- there’s no moooree” you sobbed in-between your broken sentence that didn’t make much sense to Paul.
“Baby girl calm down, breath and speak to me slowly” he uttered softly wiping your cheeks.
“No…more…chocolate cake” you whimpered as your head hung low. Paul was at a loss for words, he didn’t want to laugh because then that would upset you. So he closed his eyes fighting the smile creeping on his lips and sighed.
“Ok baby I’ll go out and buy you some more…even if it is two in the morning” he grunted the last part as he stood up. “Why don’t I take you upstairs so you can rest you must be tired huh?” You nodded taking his hand as he helped you up.
————————————
“Yeah man, She was like bawling on the floor over chocolate cake. She scared the shit out of me I thought she was going into labor!” Paul huffed as he vented to Sam over the phone.
“Haha man it’s the hormones, you should’ve seen Em when she was pregnant. One minute she’s Godzilla the next she’s an angel. No in between, but hey the key to that is patience…which now has got me worried because I know you lack that” Paul sarcastically chuckled.
“Not funny man- oh I gotta go I’m back home I’ll see you in a few hours for patrol” he ended the call as he walked back into your shared home.
“You’re back?!” You beamed waddling over to him immediately grabbing the bag that contained your beloved chocolate cake.
“Thank you so much Paul, I love you!” You smiled pouring your love all over his face with kisses. His face grew a light tent of red letting out a deep chuckle.
“Anything for you my love” you didn’t waste anytime digging into the bag getting out your cake.
About half way through you glanced at Paul who looked just as tired as you, with is body slumped against the coach.
“Paul baby?”
“Hmm?” He perked up.
“I’m sorry for being inconsiderate and bothering you, I know you’re tired too. Please forgive me” your eyes began to water again but not for food but for your attentive husband.
“No baby it’s nothing I swear. come here lemme’ hold you” you crawled in between his thighs as he leaned against the couch.
“I love you baby” he kissed your forehead holding you against his chest.
“I love you too.”

However, if you guys really enjoy it and there are requests for a Seth version I'll write him too :D I hope you guys enjoy it!!
(Part II) (Part III) Masterlist
The deafening sound of the alarm awoke me from my slumber. Stumbling out of bed, I trudged to the bathroom.
"Holy shit" I murmured looking into the mirror. A complete wreck is the best way to put it. Hopping into the shower I felt the cascade of the hot water wash away my grime and tears that I'd been laying in for the past few days.
Turning on my phone, I grimaced at my lock screen of the douchebag I was madly in love with before I caught him banging my "best friend". Misfortune followed me like I was a black cat. First, Paul Lahote, my partner in crime, disappears from school one day. No calls, texts, or emails were answered and I'm starting to think this man has either died or joined that stupid gang. Next, Richard, my "boyfriend", was caught by me, blowing my best friend's back out next to the park entrance. Blowing up my phone as they tried to explain what was happening, insisting it was a simple mistake, and attempting to blame me for being too much of a prude. Their excuses were about as weak as Richard's pull-out game because the next thing I knew, the news was flying around the school that my best friend was pregnant.
I just couldn't take it anymore, hiding away in my house to avoid the feelings of losing my boyfriend and Paul all at the same time. 10 tubs of ice cream later, I got it out of my system. I went through my phone, deleting every photo I had of Richard and her, and I stumbled upon one I took of Paul. He was in my lap, sleeping. I felt a twang in my heart but I ignored it and moved on.
"You have to move on y/n" I reminded myself. "If he can move on that easily so can you" reinforcing my ideas as I put on my shoes. Heading towards the forest I wanted a brief break from reality. Hiking up the path, I found myself lost in my thoughts. "How could he leave so easily" "Was our friendship that unimportant to him?" "Does he still remember me?" "Was it something that I did?". Not paying attention to where I was going, I stepped on a rock and ended up slipping into a small stream. "Fan-fucking-tastic" I spat out, grimacing at my wet clothes and the bloody knees. The bitter cold stung at me as my clothes clung to me. I felt a familiar feeling get caught in my throat as tears threatened to cascade down my face.
"WHAT DID I DO WRONG IN MY PAST LIFE TO DESERVE THIS YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS" I shrieked. Tears poured down my face as I sat in the water, watching my blood pool. I sat there for god knows how long but after finally composing myself, I got up, drying myself to the best of my abilities which sucked. I realized that in the midst of my thoughts I had strayed off the path and gotten lost. The sun was dipping below the horizon, another cruel joke the world had to play on me since being cold and wet in the middle of the woods wasn't good enough.
Trudging along the forest floor, I turned on my phone to see no text messages or calls. "Not like anyone fucking cares about me anymore", chuckling bitterly. The setting sun illuminated the forest less and less with each fleeting minute as I tried looking for signs of civilization.
Noticing a figure standing maybe 50 feet ahead of me, great someone that can help me get out of here.
"At least one good thing happened today," grumbling as I sped my way towards them. However, something gave me goosebumps. The closer I got, the better I could see their face, their very, very, VERY pale face. Eyes were like two rubies, a brilliant piercing red that seemed to be watching me although their back was slightly turned to me. I stopped about 15 feet ahead of them. Something isn't right, something about them is...supernatural. I slowly stepped backward, retreating to where I had come from, making sure my eyes never left them. Just don't make any sounds and I'll be fin-
CRACK
"motherfucker" I muttered as the individual turned their body towards me.
"Hello miss, you seem to be lost, would you like my assistance?" He questioned while peering at me with those lifeless ruby eyes. "Uhhh no I'm good, thank you for asking though. I have somewhere to be actually you see, my boyfriend was calling me and I need-" I rambled on trying to save myself some time as I kept inching backward but he seemed to notice as he walked towards me.
"Hey man, I told you I'm good, I have to go back home and I know my way back," I said nervously trying my best to sound confident even with my wavering voice.
"You don't seem too confident though," He asked increasing his speed.
"Well, you see I uh, tend to find myself pretty nervous when there's a creepy guy with bright red eyes walking towards me after I've said no, especially since you look like a fucking pervert for all I know" I yelled back.
He said nothing as he advanced towards me. Shit. I need to run. Now. I turned around and stumbling towards the direction I came from. Wind whipping in my face while my lungs burn and tears resurface again. I heard him close behind me as the leaves crunched beneath his feet, seemingly getting closer and closer. Looking forward, I thought maybe I would be fine until he appeared in front of me.
what. the. fuck. I thought before I felt the air getting knocked out of my lungs followed by a sharp pain near my right shoulder and the back of my head. The ringing in my ears got intensified as I tried to recollect myself and my thoughts after the impact. I opened my eyes to see a pair of shoes before my face.
"If you had just given in and accepted my help you wouldn't have been in this much pain baby" he snickered while putting his feet on my side and applying pressure. I felt a warm liquid drip over my eyes smelling the metallic stench.
"I'll make this fast for you since I'm the nicest person ever" he gloated with a burst of mocking laughter.
"You know...you must be a fucking loser to call a random stranger you're planning to kill baby." I spat out with a small smirk dancing on my lips. He didn't take too kindly to my snide remark as he pressed harder onto my side. What a little bitch.
"Since you like being a little smartass, I'll make this slower than it has to be bitch" leaning down to my face and licking it. The warm feeling of his tongue sent shivers down my spine. Feeling the pressure on my side being relieved and I finally could breathe. However, that pressure was just shifted over to my neck as he grabbed it hoisting me into the air. Fighting for air, desperation took over as I clawed at his hands to loosen his grip which was met with great resistance. My flailing legs were a futile attempt to kick him but I couldn't even reach him.
This is how I'm gonna die, a fucking loser. He grinned at my weak attempts at prolonging my survival, finding morbid enjoyment in it. That's when I saw it, those two sharp canines. Almost too sharp for a human..it was like a vampire's. Adrenaline rushed my body again as I made more thrashing movements in the hopes he would lose his grip on me.
"Let me go you fucking no life, lonely, bloodsucking bitch" I choked out. His grin instantly fell as he threw me against a tree, once again knocking the air out of me. I screeched as I felt a wave of nauseating pain washing over, hearing the snap. His cold hand was on my wrist which he had snapped and yanked me up again, holding me by arm. Tears pooled in my eyes as the pain took over my body. He licked the trickling blood on my arm. clearly enjoying it. "Fear does make humans taste better," he remarked as he went closer to my neck. I'm fucking dead. Suddenly I heard loud thumps in the forest and felt my body drop to the floor. Blurs of fur streaked past my vision as wolves the size of bears jumped atop the man and mauled him. Great, I'm gonna die to fucking wolves now. I scooted back closer towards the foliage in hopes that none of them would notice since they were occupied with the vampire. I bumped into something that felt oddly warm for a tree, I turned my head around slowly praying that it wasn't what I thought it was. I met the gaze of a dark silver wolf, its eyes piercing mine. I winced as it moved its head closer to me, expecting the worst but I felt a soft nudge against my broken wrist. Was it...concerned for me? The silver wolf ran into the woods and from there emerged a familiar face. Paul motherfucking Lahote. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry I let you get hurt like this" Paul rambled as I sat there dazed. Was he that wolf? No way, there is no way a wolf can turn into a man and vice versa. "We'll get you patched up, come on," he said as he tried picking me up but I only stood up and walked backward. "DONT FUCKING TOUCH ME" I yelled, "YOU DON'T GET TO COME BACK OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN YOUVE BEEN GONE FOR ALL OF THESE MONTHS AND ACT LIKE A HERO." Tears streamed down my face as I clutched my broken wrist and retreated even more. "y/n I can explain please just let me get you patched up," pleading with me as I backed off more and more. "No, don't you fucking dare Lahote" I spat out not noticing that the other wolves were gone and in their place was Sam's gang. "You forgot about me, you left me for that stupid fucking gang" I sobbed as I faltered and landed on my knees. "You forgot about me," I whispered, my voice hoarse from screaming.
"Don't you dare say that y/n. I have never forgotten about you and I can promise you on that," Paul said as he got closer to my trembling form. Liar, he's a liar.
"Please, just let me help you and I'll explain everything, I never meant to leave you for that long y/n." He looked into my eyes with desperation.
"Fucking bullshit" I spat out before getting up and trying to walk away. The lightheadedness took over due to the amount of blood I'd lost and I expected to feel a hard impact as I felt myself fall but instead, I never hit the ground. Paul carried me in his arm as I was pressed against his naked chest which radiated an impossible warmth.
Lulled into a slumber of unconsciousness, I felt the motion of someone running and a faint distraught. "I'm so sorry my love", before blacking out.
Please like and repost :D
