The Incident - Paul Lahote x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
A little one shot that I just couldn't stop writing. A good angst to fluff (btw my fics will never be all angst, im too soft). Also do not fear, Im working on a Sam fic and part 3 to not letting you go. But you let ME know what you think of this one ❤️ 2K words
"My SISTER, Paul. She's my fucking SISTER!" you yelled, voice hoarse as your throat cracked.
"I could give a SHIT LESS WHAT SHE IS. YOU'RE. NOT. GOING." He screamed, jaw taut as he tried his best to subside the tremors that were threatening to take over his body.
You ignored the teeth he bared, shaking your head and scoffing.
"Aren't you tired of this?! I'm going over there. I HAVE to know she's safe."
"YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I'LL JUST SIT BY AND WATCH MY IMPRINT GO TO A PLACE WHERE I CAN'T PROTECT HER? WHAT ABOUT ME KNOWING THAT YOU'RE SAFE?? HUH?? YOU'RE SICK IF YOU THINK I WOULD BE OKAY WITH THIS!"
"Sick?!? SICK?!? LETS TALK ABOUT HOW 'SICK' IT IS THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO KILL HER AND THE BABY. THATS MY FAMILY PAUL!"
"AND WERE NOT?"
It had been like this for a week straight. Ever since the pack stormed through the door announcing their mission to kill Bella and the unborn child within her.
You felt as though your two families had been pinned against each other. Head spinning at the idea of there being a 'choice' between your sister and imprint.
On one hand you were desperate to make sure she was alright, but also exhausted at the never ending battle with your boyfriend.
Sure you had talked to Bella over the phone, but you didn't buy into the lies like your father had. Even though you knew significantly more than he did, she still attempted to downplay the situation. She had done this numerous times since getting thrown into the vampire world, but she could only keep you in the dark for so long before you unraveled the truth.
You had to see her. Even if it was the last time. By fate, or at the hands of the pack. You had to be there for her, as she would you.
Leaving your imprint though? Was at task challenging at best. On at least four different occasions you fought with Paul for so long that Emily and Sam had to intervene, prying you two apart at the pleads of other pack members.
Emily would console you while you ranted and Sam would make Paul run off his anger in the woods. When you faced him again, it turned into a rerun of the same argument. Nobody in the house had gotten sleep, and the things were progressively getting worse.
Quil came through the door, widening his eyes.
"Just a heads up everyone, a little comedic relief does not go over well. I saw my life flash before Paul's eyes." He huffed before sitting down.
"When is this going to be overrrr?" Embry whined. He shoved his head in his hands on the kitchen table while you and Paul went at it in the front yard.
Emily sighed.
"Unfortunately sooner than you think....Y/N packed her suitcase this morning." She said quietly.
"You're not really going to let her go over there are you?!?" Kim stood up, looking at both Emily and Sam.
"If you would like to stop her, please, be my guest." Sam motioned his hand to outside, where you and Paul could be seen through the window. You were throwing your arms up and pointing fingers at him, while his voice boomed loudly, towering his large frame over yours.
Kim winced.
You had always been the calm to Paul's raging storm. 'Made him all soft' as the guys would tease. None of them had actually seen you two disagree with each other. In the mind link they saw glimpses of minor arguments, most of the time being reconciled in the sheets..
Paul eventually got an order by Sam to think about something else while on patrol. 'Literally, anything else'.
"She's not going anywhere. I can count on my hand how many times they've been apart since he imprinted. They'll work it out eventually." Jared said as he pulled Kim on his lap, taking a hunk out of his apple.
Kim didn't share a look that she believed him, worriedly looking out to where you stood.
A few moments passed when her body stiffened and she gasped, making Jared look where she was.
"SHIT! SHIT!" He said, throwing Kim off his lap.
Sam turned to look out the window in time to see Paul phase, his sharp claw making contact with your skin. Your blood curdling scream instantly had everyone else off their seats, nearly knocking each other over to race outside.
You laid on the ground as your body wracked with sobs, clutching your side. Blood gushed through your hand as you started to panic, scrambling to stand. The large silver wolf only stood for a few moments before Paul shifted back, completely horrified as he frantically tried to reach you.
He felt his heart nearly rip out of his chest as you backpedaled into Emily, who was helping to hold you upright.
"NO! NO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! IM DONE!" You cried.
Sam stood in the middle of the two of you.
Paul could feel his chest caving in, hand out, speaking more gently than he had at all in the past week.
"B-baby. Please. Please, I'm- I'm so sorry baby. Please let me just see-"
"NO! I'm done. I'm done. I'm leaving. I'm done." You repeated like a mantra, limping to the car.
"Y/N you cannot drive like this..." Emily attempted to say as she stepped in from behind you. She could see your anxiety was heightened, and afraid to set you off further.
"I have to go," you choked, on the verge of tears as you tried to open the drivers side. You had yet to even notice the gash in your side, adrenaline pumping wildly through your body.
Paul made his way around Sam, grabbing your other arm that was holding the door.
"You are crazy if you think I'm letting you leave like this. Please come-"
You yanked your arm from his grasp.
"Don't. Let me go!" You said coldly.
Paul froze. He couldn't move. You never spoke to him like this. Even in the numerous fights you two had this week.
Every single instinct in his body needed to help you. He knew you were downplaying your injuries. He knew he just royally fucked everything up. But the absolute last thing you could do was walk into a house full of vampires dripping in blood. Fucking doctor or not.
"Come inside and let me take a look at you, okay? Please." Emily said to coax you, frantically looking at your wound.
This made Sam follow her gaze, looking down to see the blood pouring from your side hadn't stopped, and you were growing paler by the minute.
"Y/N....you're going to stay here and I'll call Sue." He said in an authoritative voice, leaving no room to argue as he turned to start dialing the number.
You almost argued. You almost fought both of them on the subject. Your stubbornness almost won.
But you felt an immense pain. So strong you don't know how the hell you didn't notice it when you stood up.
That couldn't be good.
"....Y/N?" Paul said, barely above a whisper. Tears were now silently streaming down his face as he held both hands out slightly. Not close enough to touch you but to be prepared in case you fell.
You could feel yourself start to float in and out of consciousness. You tried to ground yourself by focusing on something. You looked at his hands that were outstretched.
Those hands that you held on your first date. The hands that hover your back anywhere you go. The hands that lift you up from the couch on movie nights to bring you to bed. The hands that move in just the right way when making love to you. The hands that were now shaking, not out of anger, but fear. You loved those hands.
"Y/N? Baby?" Paul said louder, more urgently as he could see you fading.
You watched him get blurry as the world started to spin.
"Paul," you murmured, before fading into darkness. The last thing you remember were the hands that caught you before you hit the ground.
"Y/N!!!" Paul screamed as he caught your body falling into him.
Sam ran back, telling him Sue was just up the street. He instructed Paul to carry you inside and onto the bed. The pack dispersed, each trying to find something to help you such as towels, an emergency kit and pillows.
Paul held you close as he lay you down, while repeatedly whispering in your ear.
"I'm so sorry baby. I'm so-so sorry. I cant lose you. Youre everything to me. I'll never yell at you again. I swear on my life. You can do whatever you want. I'll do whatever you want. Please, I love you." Paul pressed kisses to your hairline when Sue and her nurse friend entered.
Jared reluctantly came in behind them to lead Paul out of the room as they worked.
"Come on man, she'll wake up soon I promise."
After he was guided out, Paul slid down to sit on the other side of the door, refusing to move. Jared didn't push it, leaning down to sit next to him.
"Sue's seen this kind of stuff before. Just needs stitching up and stuff," Jared reassured as he put his hand on Paul's shoulder.
"It's not the injuries I'm worried about. So much as what she'll think of me when she wakes up. I....I fucked this one up, Jare."
"If Emily can forgive Sam, I think Y/N will forgive you. She's crazy about your ass."
Paul just nodded, praying he was right.
~
Your eyes fluttered open slowly as you woke. You looked around to see that you had been bandaged up along your left side, an IV attached to your arm sat close by. You attempted to sit up, whining when the pain wouldn't allow it. Within a few minutes Emily entered, her face showing relief.
"You're up! How are you feeling?" She checked the IV before sitting on the edge of the bed, careful of your body.
"Sore...where's, where's Paul?" Your heart ached as you started to replay what happened. There was no doubt in your mind what happened was an accident. You had seen the signs he always warned you about, and chose to ignore them in the heat of the argument. Not only that, but the look on his face when you had refused him was too much to bare.
Emily smiled, not expecting you to want to see him so soon.
"He's just outside the door. Hasn't moved. He didn't know if you'd want to see him..."
"I need to talk to him."
It hadn't even been a few seconds when Paul stood at the door. He looked more out of shape than you did. The disheveled hair and dark circles under his eyes told you he hadn't slept in days.
"I'll give you two some space. Just holler if you need anything," Emily spoke as she stood up, making her way around him and down the stairs.
Paul remained where he stood,
"If you don't want to be with me I understand. I have no words for my actions other than I am so...." he cleared his throat, trying not to cry. "So incredibly sorry I put you through this. I put you in danger when I was trying to keep you out of it. You don't have to stay I-"
"Paul please just kiss me." You interrupted, not wanting to hear the rest as you already made up your mind in forgiving him.
He stood for just a moment longer, trying to comprehend if he heard you correctly. It was when you weakly opened your arms for him that he wasted no time in rushing over to you, cupping your face and gently yet passionately kissed you with everything he had. Tears flowed his cheeks at the relief that you still wanted him. Even after everything he had put you through.
You two pulled back for air after a moment, and you ran your hand through his hair.
"I forgive you, okay? I can't imagine my life without you."
He let out a breath, smiling for the first time in weeks.
"It will never happen again. I swear on my fucking life baby." He caressed your hair, neck, landing his palm on your heart.
You two sat like that for awhile. Almost scared to leave each other's presence. You two talked for hours on the bed. Paul had confessed that the night before, while you were sleeping, the pack had fought with the Cullens. You learned that Paul refused to go, not wanting to leave your side. You were grateful to hear that Sam didn't push on him being there, knowing you were all that mattered to him, and he'd refuse him if he had too. Even if it went against his every instinct as a wolf. Turns out that Jacob had imprinted on your niece, and Bella had survived, now as a vampire.
You weren't particularly thrilled your sister was now a bloodsucker, but as long as she was alive, you were happy.
Paul eventually made his way to the other side of the bed, kissing every exposed inch of you, whispering all the things he loved about you in your ear until you fell asleep.
When your heartbeat slowed down and he was sure you were out, he reached down and felt the velvet box in his pocket. No doubt in his mind about the future you both held.

Jacob’s imprint and s/o plays a prank where she wipes off his kisses and jacob’s reaction to it
jake cracks me up in the same awful way that sam uley does😭😭
...
you were at jake's house helping billy out with some random things around the house while you waited for jake to get back from patrol. he absolutely loved how considerate you were when it came to his dad and was always so grateful for your help.
unfortunately for jake, you were best friends with paul and jared which oftentimes led to a lot of unnecessary shenanigans. the previous night, you'd (very unfortunately) lost a bet to the two of them and ended up needing to play a harmless prank on your boyfriend as penance.
so when jake, paul, and jared all came bustling through the door, you knew you were done for. paul and jared both wore matching grins on their faces as they leaned up against the kitchen counter, watching as jake came over to you.
"y/n," he smiled, stepping over to pull you into his arms.
you giggled, hugging him back and allowing him to hold you close to him for a few moments, "i missed you." he mumbled against your hair before loosening his grip on you so he could hold you by your biceps, "so much." he added before pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.
you glared at paul and jared, already knowing you were done for. "jake-" you giggled, brushing his kiss of your cheek with the heel of your hand.
the way his jaw dropped had paul and jared bursting into laughter, "what happened?" he asked softly after a moment, completely ignoring jared and paul's laughter as he instead slid one of his hands up to your jaw to inspect your face for any signs of discomfort or irritation.
you giggled, almost immediately folding when you saw his expression, "'m sorry," you murmured, giggling again, "lost a bet to jared and paul." you whispered which had jacob rolling his eyes before he pulled you close to his chest.
"what the hell is wrong with you two?" he grumbled to paul and jared, huffing when the two of them continued laughing as they made their way over to the living room to sit down on the couch.
"'m sorry jake," you giggled, peeking up at him, smiling when you saw how his gaze softened when he looked down at you.
"not your fault," he reassured, bending down to press his lips to yours for a soft kiss that had paul and jared gagging.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Aren't you the most adorable little creatures I have ever seen?" "You're so cute. I want to keep you forever!"
Passersby probably took Emily and you for some deranged ladies when they saw you crouched in an alley, apparently talking to the ground.
But they couldn't see the adorable little balls of fur meowing back at you with impressive intelligence lighting their eyes. You were leaving the grocery store when you had heard plaintiff meowing sounds and discovered kittens shivering in an old cardboard box.
There was two of them, a fiery black one, who hissed when you first came close, and a grey one who immediately approached you, looking for pets. It had been 10 minutes, and since then, you had dug in your bags to give them water and food. By the way they devoured the bit of ham you gave them, you knew they had been there for a while.
"We can't leave them here," sighed Emily as she petted the black cat on her thighs. The grumpy cat had seemed to take a liking to her incredibly quickly.
"But where can we bring them? I'm scared if we leave them at the pound, they'll be forgotten," you pondered while delicately petting the gray head of the little critter bundled up in your lap.
As if you had just communicated telepathically, you and Emily looked up with a knowing light in your eyes.
Without having a plan, you brought the kittens back to Emily's to give them proper shelter and a long-awaited bath.
The four of you were now on the couch, extenuated after this eventful day. Junior and Paulie, the names you had settled on because of their resemblances with your boyfriends, were sprawled before the fire.
You had just started preparing dinner when you heard familiar howls from the forest. Seconds later, the seven members of the pack entered the cabin. Distracted by the smell of food, they didn't seem to notice the new presence of the two fur balls. Sam immediately headed for Emily to hug her and kiss her cheek. You smiled at the happy couple as you felt a pair of warm hands grab your hips. You smiled and melted into the muscular arms wrapped around your figure.
"Hey, you." "Hey," you answered, a smile in your voice. "What have you been up to?" he sweetly asked.
You tensed at his question, your eyes immediately finding Emily's. Through all your excitement, you didn't have a plan on how to tell seven werewolves you were planning on keeping two kittens.
"Well, actually, it's pretty funny," you started as you turned to face your boyfriend's suspicious expression. You tried delaying your explanation when you heard Seth's excited scream.
"Oh my god! Where do those kittens come from?! They're so adorable!!" he cooed before dropping on his tummy to try and pet them.
"Kittens?!" exclaimed Sam with a questioning look at Emily.
The pack gathered in the living room, observing the two cats, unbothered as ever, lying in front of the fire.
"We found them across the grocery store. We couldn't leave them there to fend for themselves!" explained Emily as she walked to little Sam Junior. The antisocial cat lifted a heavy eyelid at the disruption of his nap, only to meow and lift his head in search of pets when he noticed who it was. She grabbed the kitten in her hands, bringing him close to her chest with an adoring smile. The little beast softly purred in her arms. It was impossible to deny the special bond they already shared.
You looked at Sam with a glimmer of hope. The look he gave Emily as he saw how happy she was told you everything you needed to know.
"What's his name?" he asked with a defeated sigh as he neared the pair. The little kitten carefully sniffed his hand before allowing him to scratch his head.
"Actually," Emily looked at you with a conniving smile. "With his black fur and protective instinct, he made me think of you, I thought we could call him Sam Junior."
Your little crowd chuckled at the name and the resemblance between the two.
"Junior, eh? Sounds about right." He smiled softly. Whenever Emily was concerned, Sam was as docile as the cat in her arms.
Suddenly, a soft nudge on your shins surprised you. You looked down to realize it was the gray kitten. You felt your heart melt at the display of affection and lifted him carefully from the floor.
"Oh, don't even think about it," uttered Paul as he noticed how you looked at each other.
You pouted your lower lip, bringing the little kitten next to your cheek. "Please, please, please, please," you pleaded. "His name's Paulie," you added with a cheeky smile.
Your boyfriend looked at you with incredulous eyes.
"I see it, Paul. He looks like you," added Sam with a teasing grin and a lift of his shoulders, as if to say 'You know they've already won bud'
He stayed silent, observing your pouty face and the sleepy kitten in your arms. Before finally saying, "Werewolves with kittens?"
You gave him a little nod. "Yeah, I guess that can work," he conceded with a grin.

The Pack Imprint
Tumblr media
Fem!Reader x Uley Pack {2.9k}
Requested - Unknown
Summary: Reader is Bella Swan's neighbour, having lived beside the Swan's her whole life. The once close pair, now hate each other all because of the group of shifters that reside in the rainy state of Forks, Washington.
WARNINGS: BELLA SLANDER // SWEARING // NOT PROOF READ
Forks, Washington - February 19th 2005
It had been a month since Bella came back to town, she was the centre of the school gossip, everyone trying to either be her friend or get a date with her. All but one person - Y/n L/n. Bella and Y/n grew up together, they were childhood friends along side Jacob Black. But after her parents divorced and she went to live with her mom, Bella had grown distant with the young girl she once saw as a sister. Two letters a week turned into one a month, which then turned into nothing. Y/n was heartbroken, her best friend had up and left. Jacob tried to be around more often but with school on the res and his dad nagging at him to help around the house, he couldn't fit Y/n into his schedule. Which in turn, made the pair grown apart from each other as well. That was until she came back.
The last month in Forks had been hell. Everywhere Y/n went, whispers about the Swan girl being back was all she heard. Every time she would enter through the school door the chatter about her once best friend would swarm through the halls, Y/n had enough. She was sick and tired of always hearing about her, Bella this and Bella that - it was giving her a headache. Jessica and Angela had gave Y/n's seat at the lunch table away to Bella, that was until she started sitting with the Cullens. It was infuriating, she's been back a month and she's already pining after the only Cullen available, it was pathetic. Bella was like a plague coming to ruin Y/n's life all over again, but she wouldn't allow it to affect her.
When lunch came around, Y/n found an empty table near the back of the cafeteria. Jessica and Angela tried to invite her back to their table but all they were met with was Y/n's middle finger held up in front of their faces, the two girls turned and walked away but not without Jessica muttering a not so quiet 'bitch' under her breath. Y/n had enough of Jessica's shit; the sly things she'd say about everyone, how she would point out peoples insecurities and worst of all - how she victimised herself all the goddamn time. Y/n had got up out of her seat, the screech from the metal legs dragging against the floor grabbed the attention of everyone in the cafeteria. "Hey Jess?" Before the girl could respond, Y/n had grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her back - the scream she let out was loud, almost deafening the Cullens; who were on the other side of the cafeteria. "Don't you ever call me a bitch again, do you hear me? I'm sick and tired of your bullshit. You just never learn to fucking shut up." With that said, Y/n had let go of her and walked out the double doors leading into the parking lot of the school.
The Cullens had watched the whole thing unfold, Bella clinging onto Edward's arm saying she was scared. Emmett had the biggest grin on his face, he was enjoying himself too much, quiet little Y/n had turned out to be a badass and Emmett loved it. Rose had to stop her mate from joining in, a firm grip on his bicep - enough to hurt anyone that wasn't a vampire. Alice, knowing what would happen, had excused herself before the fight broke out. She wanted to see if Y/n was alright, so the pixie like vampire had decided to wait beside Y/n's car, hoping she would show up soon. But she didn't, at least not for awhile. Alice had gotten tired of waiting, she turned to leave when she heard the car door behind her shut with a soft click. Before she could do anything, the car had reversed and turned out the parking lot - heading as far away from the gates of Forks Highschool.
Tumblr media
March 5th 2005
It had been at least a week since the whole incident between Y/n and Jessica. No one had seen or heard off Y/n, people had started to spread rumours around saying she was expelled or she had ran away after what she had done but none of it was true, only no one would really know the truth at least not yet. Bella had rang Jacob after it had turned into two weeks of not seeing Y/n, at first the young wolf sounded unfazed, like he didn't care but in truth, it was all an act. He knew about what had happened, he heard it straight from the horses mouth the day it all occurred. Y/n had drove all the way to Jacob's house, he was in the garage when he head the screech of tires pulling up in front of his house. He had poked his head out the garage door to see who it was, not really in the mood for anyone to come rushing into his house when he was busy. The sight of a distraught Y/n had panicked the poor boy, he rushed over to her scanning her body for any signs of injury but he turned up with nothing. Y/n was on the verge of tears, he could hear her heart hammering in her chest. Jacob brought her in to his arms, the warmth radiating off of him helped calm the girl down a little though she was still shaking.
Y/n had brought Jacob up to date with what had happened, he was proud of her for finally standing up to Jessica but he was also upset that it had to get to this point for Y/n to finally step up and confront her about it. Y/n had stayed with Jacob and his dad for the last couple weeks, begging them to not send her back there. A couple weeks had then turned into a month, Jacob had started to ignore everyone and started to hang out with Sam Uley and his little pack of mutts. Y/n wasn't having it, she was sick and tired of waiting for Jacob to come home but he never did, no matter how many times Y/n had asked Billy where Jacob had disappeared to he never told her. She waited for as long as she could until it was too much, she had trekked all the way over to Sam's place; her hands clenched and face red hot with anger. She was going to get her answers one way or another.
When Y/n had made it to Sam's house, Bella just so happened to be there too. Her fiery orange truck parked in the drive. There was a indescribable feeling in the pit of Y/n's stomach, a mixture between anxiety and full blown hatred. She stomped her way over to the group, Sam was telling Bella to leave but she wasn't having any of it, like always. Paul was the first to notice Y/n, her h/l h/c whipping around with the wind. Before he could tell Sam she was here, Bella had shouted at him. "What did you do to him? He didn't want this. He just up and left without telling me anything because he's scared of you." Paul had laughed at Bella, Jacob wasn't scared of anyone and yet she still thought that. Paul was calm until Bella had gone and slapped him across the face, she clutched her hand to her chest, it was surely broken after that hit. Paul had started to shake violently, Sam had pushed Bella back telling her to back away whilst simultaneously trying to get Paul to calm down. Y/n had the dumbest idea ever, we all must admit she's not the smartest. She had slowly started to step towards Paul right as he had shifted.
Bella's screaming could be heard but that didn't bother Y/n, what did though was the huge dark silver furred wolf right in front of her. It's teeth bared, snarling at her. Though, she felt no fear. Her hand slowly reached up and gently lay upon it's muzzle. The wolf huffed, he wasn't entirely trusting the girl in front of him but he also felt no fear towards her. He looked into her e/c and everything stilled. The noise around him had calmed, all he could focus on was her. Paul felt like the centre of the earth had shifted, like he was finally where he was meant to be. Before he knew it, he had shifted back. Y/n's body flush against his own, protecting him from the eyes around them. Soon enough, a blanket had been given to him to cover up until he was able to make it back to the house and put a new set of clothes on. Paul was confused, how was he able to imprint on Y/n when he had already imprinted on Rachel, Jacob's sister?
Tumblr media
After the events of earlier today, Bella had told Jacob to never speak to her again and she left, just like that. Jacob was sat on the steps of Sam's porch, he just wanted to be alone but he knew that was impossible. Jacob felt a shift of weight beside him, he turned his head and saw Y/n wrapped up in one of Emily's blankets, she must've given Y/n the blanket to stay warm. Jacob threw his arm over the smaller girl, the warm his body provided her, soothed the chill that made a home in her bones. "You know, Bella doesn't deserve you Jake. You're too good for her." They both sat there in silence for awhile, the soft chime of the trees rustling in the wind settling in to the comfortable silence around them. The door to Sam's house opened, revealing the older male. "Come inside, we're having a pack meeting." The pair looked at each other before Jacob got up and walked inside, leaving Y/n to sit on her own to watch the trees dance around in the soft breeze.
Inside Sam's house, the pack was all sat around in his living room. Embry, Paul, Jared and Quil were sat on the sofa, Leah and Seth took up the two arm chairs while Sam and Jacob were stood; everyone waiting for Sam to start the meeting. "We all witnessed what happened between Paul and Y/n earlier, Paul imprinted for the second time. What we need to figure out is why that happened." All eyes were on Paul, he felt smug about having two imprintee's but it felt wrong, as if he were betraying Rachel. The meeting had gone on for the last hour, the pack had decided to try and see if they would all imprint or if it was only Paul to be lucky enough to have two imprintee's. The pack had left the house, Y/n completely unaware of what was about to happen. Jacob held his hand out to Y/n, pulling her up on her feet and leading her over to the small field where Paul had initially shifted. "I need you to be as calm as possible, okay? We need to see if what happened to Paul earlier will happen to all of us, I promise I will explain it all later." Y/n only nodded her head, giving Jacob the all clear.
The pack had lined up beside each other, Paul was the first to shift. He felt all the feelings from earlier flood back, his heart pounded as he stepped closer to Y/n. She reached out to run her fingers through this fur, earning a soft grunt from the silver wolf. Next was Embry, he was scared to look up at Y/n, he felt sick to his stomach; what if he didn't imprint? Y/n took careful steps to Embry, his fur was gray with black spots; he was slightly smaller than Paul. Y/n crouched down to be eye level with the gray wolf, his eye's locked with hers and it was like his whole body was set alight. Slight tingles coursed through his bones, he felt complete. Embry nuzzled into Y/n, small giggles erupted from the girl, the sound was like wind chimes clashing together. Embry left with Paul to shift back and change back into their clothes. Quil and Jared were next, Quil's wolf had chocolate brown fur while Jared had light brown fur with black markings around his eyes. The pair had imprinted instantly, their tails wagging behind them as they accepted the affection off their imprintee. Seth had imprinted fairly easy, though he was still scared. The sandy brown furred wolf cowered at the attention of his imprint, too overwhelmed by the feelings bubbling inside him. The young wolf left as quickly as possible, wanting to shift back and put this behind him for now.
Leah imprinted soon after Seth, she finally knew what it was like to have someone meant for her. The tingling coursing through her body was welcomed, Leah stayed beside Y/n refusing to leave the girls side. She would not leave her imprint, not now - not ever. Jacob and Sam were the only ones left, they had decided to shift at the same time, afraid of being rejected. Sam was a black furred wolf, he was like a shadow while Jacob was a rusty brown colour, almost like Seth. Sam was the first to look up at Y/n, her e/c stared straight back at him. His heart was pounding in his ears, he didn't feel anything at first. He knew what it was like to imprint and yet, he felt nothing. Sam was about to give up and just walk away, until Y/n sat in front of him and ran her fingers through his fur, an electric shot went straight though him. Images flashed behind his eyes, growing old with her, having a family of their own, loving her till his very last breath. Sam now had two imprintee's, what was he going to tell Emily? The black furred wolf walked off towards the house, his ears pinned against his head.
Jacob still had his head pointed down, his eyes trained on the dirt under his paws. "Jake? Look at me, please." Her voice was soft, almost a whisper. Jacob listed his head, his pupils blew as images of them laughing together, cooking dinner together, messing around with the pack flashed before his eyes. It was like his ears were flooded with water, he knew he would do anything, be anything for her. His whole world was centred around Y/n and what their life would be like together. A blanket of warmth wrapped itself around his heart, he felt content knowing his best friend would be his forever.
Tumblr media
Once everyone had shifted back and back in their clothes, they had all settled in to the living room. Y/n sat on the sofa, squished between Jacob and Leah, while Seth sat in front of her on the floor; his back pressed against her legs. Paul and Jared were fighting over what to watch, while Quil and Embry made popcorn for everyone. Sam was the only one missing, he was sat in his shared bedroom with Emily. They were arguing, everyone could hear it. "Is it my fault? Them fighting, I mean." Y/n felt guilty, she didn't want to tear apart Sam's relationship, she would gladly show herself out if it wasn't for Jacob and Leah physically holding her in place. Paul was the first to say anything, he had crouched in front of the sofa, his hand linked with hers. "Hey.. it's not your fault doll face, no one could've seen this happening. You are our imprint, you are what matters the most to us, it could never be your fault, okay?" Paul kissed Y/n's knuckles, his lips ever so lightly grazing her skin. She sniffled slightly as she nodded her head. Y/n couldn't have been more happy to have the pack, she finally felt loved and included for once. The rest of the night consisted of watching random movies and eating too much junk, Y/n had passed out on Leah's shoulder after the second movie had started. She was soon followed by the rest of the pack, all spread out in the living room. Seth cuddling into Y/n's leg, Jacob flung half on Y/n while Leah was now hanging off the sofa, Paul laying beside Seth on the floor; his head on Seth's arm. Jared and Embry passed out on the arm chairs, their bodies thrown across them like they were dolls tossed to the side. Quil was the only normal one out the bunch, he was cuddled into a blanket away from everyone else, a pillow under his head as he snored.
Y/n had made a family for life, she would not give this up for anything.

Right Where I’m Meant To Be
Leah Clearwater x imprint!Swan!reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Slight angst (?), a little bit of jealous Leah, Leah having a hard time showing she cares, Eclipse Jacob is his own warning, kind of ooc Leah (?), a little humor, this follows the plot of Eclipse, kissing, let me know if I missed anything.
--
To say you were shivering would be an understatement. You were laying in a tent, next a similar tent where your sister and her, now fiancé, on part of a mountain. Edward had killed another vampire who was after Bella, now the mate of said vampire is after Bella. In extension, she was after you too. The red headed vampire made a newborn army, which had the Cullen and the wolf pack join together to defeat them. Unfortunately, that meant your wolf had to fight too. While you were worried, you knew she could take care of herself. The battle was tomorrow, you and Bella were being kept up on the mountain, away from the newborns, for safety.
As if it couldn't get any worse, a storm moved in. You were shaking from how cold it was. You didn’t want to call for Leah, since she imprinted on you, it seemed like she hated you. But the colder it got; you had no choice.
“Leah?” You nervously, called for the she-wolf.
It was only a couple of seconds after you called out for you, you heard the sound of the tent unzipping.
Leah crawled in, “What?”, she asked, sounding more annoyed than she intended. You were too cold to acknowledge her tone.
“Can you lay with me? I feel like I’m turning into a popsicle.” You shivered out.
She sighed. She zipped up the tent before moving toward you. You lifted up the blanket, allowing her in. She laid in front of you and, much to your surprise, allowing you to lay your head on her chest. Leah slowly wrapped her arms around your middle, resting her chin on your head.
“Thank you.” You mumbled. Leah responded with a hum.
You were soaking in Leah being close to you when you heard unzipping from your sisters tent.
“I can’t sleep with all that teeth chattering going on,” you and Leah sighed in union, this can only go well.
“Forget it,” Edward exasperated, attempting to stop Jacob.
“She’s going to need her toes someday and let’s face it, I am hotter than you.” Jacob sassed, the last part having a double meaning.
“That’s debatable,” you snarked, making Leah pinch your side. “Ouch, I was just kidding.”
“I should be the only one you find hot.” She muttered bitterly. “To make it worse, you find a leech hot.”
“I didn’t mean it like that. I mean, a rock hotter than Jacob.” You joked, making her crack a smile. Before you could comment on it, you heard some sort of smacking sound.
“Get your hand off me.” Jacob demanded, angrily.
“Keep your hands off her.” Edward warned Jacob.
“Don’t fight,” Bella said, sounding like you just moments before you called for Leah.
“If she gets sick, it’s on you,” Jacob spit with venom in his voice. You guess it won Edward over as you heard the movement of the tent, a blanket, and Bella’s breathing get louder.
“Wow, you’re freezing Bella. Relax. You’ll warm up soon. Faster, if you took your clothes off.”
“Ew.” You muttered in disgust. You glanced up to see Leah scrunching her nose as if she smelt something horrid. Well, she can smell Edward.
“He’s so...punchable.” You commented. You heard Leah scoff from above you.
“Isn’t he though?” She whispered.
After that, you fell into silence. You were warm now, but you still couldn’t fall asleep and what do you do when you can’t sleep? Think. Maybe, you should try to talk to Leah while she’s right here? Find why she seems to hate you so much.
You knew there was so many ways this could go wrong, but you found yourself asking, “Leah? Are you still awake?”
“Yeah.” She replied. “What is it?” Now knowing she’s awake, you look up at her.
“Why do you hate me so much? What did I do?” You blurted out without thinking. You mentally cursed yourself for being so blunt. Now she’s going to leave, you thought.
Much to your surprise, she replies. “I don’t hate you.”
“But why do you give me the cold shoulder every time I try to talk to you or be around you?” You pried. You knew you were pushing your luck, but you couldn’t help it, you just wanted answers.
Leah sighed, looking anywhere, but at you. “I was trying to not get attached. I didn’t want you to leave me when you find someone better.” She admitted with a hint of sadness in her voice.
You sat up a bit to look at her better. “Leah, I’m not leaving you and I won’t ever. I haven’t known you long, but I know there’s no one better than you. The universe put us together for a reason, trust it and let me in. It might take you a while, but that’s ok. I’m willing to wait."
Leah sat up next you. “You would wait?” She finally looked at you. She had the most ‘kicked puppy’ look on her face you’ve ever seen and it broke your heart. "For me?”
You nodded. “I’m willing to wait an eternity if I have to.”
Leah tore her gaze from you when tears started to fill her eyes when she realized you were being sincere. She refused to let them fall. She didn’t want you to see her crying. You knew that. Even so, you wrapped your arms around her, resting your head on her shoulder to give some type of comfort.
You stayed like that until she laid down, taking you with her. You resumed your previous position, your head on her chest, her chin on your head. With that, you fell asleep.
--
Waking up, you were alone. Slowly, you got up, unzipping, and walking of the tent to see Seth in his wolf form.
“Hey, Seth.” You greeted him, petting his big head.
You unzipping next to you. You looked over and saw Bella coming out of her tent. You guess Jacob and Edward already left since she came out alone. She sent a tight smile your way as a greeting. You sent on back as you heard footsteps.
You and Bella looked in the direction it was coming from, Edward and Leah were wandering towards you. Both going to their respective Swans.
“Where’s Jacob? Did he already...?” Bella wondered before Edward cut her off.
“Not yet, he’s checking to see if the woods are clear before he goes.” He informed her.
Edward glance at you, Leah, and Seth. Taking the hint, Leah grabbed your hand, strolling past them while Seth went another direction. She took you to a ledge overlooking part of the forest on the mountain. She sat down with you following suit.
It was quiet for a minute until Leah turned to look at you. “When this is all over and if we survive-”
“We will.” She playfully glared at you for interrupting her.
“And when we survive.” She corrected herself. “Would you like to try a romantic relationship out? If not, we can just go for a friendship. If you don’t want that, the-”
“Yes,” You stopped her rambling. “I would love to try out a relationship with you.” She smiled. It was cute to see her bashful.
Leah leaned closer, causing you to lean in. You were so close, you could feel her hot breath on your lips. She leaned in closer and-
“Jake, stop! Jake, please!” You heard your sister yell. You both separated and turned around to see what was going on.
“I’m done. I’m so done.” Jacob turned to Bella.
“W-w-what can I do?” Bella stuttered.
“You can’t do anything. I can. By going out there a killing something.” A little overdramatic, are we?
“No! Just- You're not thinking clearly. Don’t do that.”
“Or maybe I’ll get myself killed and make it simple for you.”
You started getting up when Leah pulled you back down.
“Lee, he’s manipulating my sister. I can’t just sit here and do nothing.” You tried getting out of her grip, but she was strong than you.
“I know, I’d be upset to if that was Seth, but- Oh my gosh.” You stopped struggling when you saw how baffled she was. Looking over to your sister, she was making out with Jacob.
“Oh, that’s all sorts of wrong.” You muttered. “She’s engaged to Edward and she’s doing this?”
“Yeah, she’s something else.” Leah paused. “I have to go.” She said standing up. “Don’t leave Seth or Edward’s side.”
You stood up and hugged her tightly. “Be careful, please.” She wrapped her arms around you.
“I will, I promise.” She let go of you. You watched her leave until she wasn’t in sight anymore.
You walked to where Edward and Bella were now standing.
“You saw?” Bella asked.
“No, but Jacob’s thoughts were pretty loud.” That must’ve hurt him.
“I dont know what happened.”
“You love him.”
“I love you more.” She really is something special, huh? Edward chuckled, glancing at you. He must’ve heard your thoughts.
“I know.”
Seth trotted through some bushes, stopping next to Edward.
“It’s starting.”
--
The battle was over. As far as you knew, no one was hurt.
Victoria followed Edward’s sent, knowing Bella would be with him. She wasn’t alone, so Edward sent you with Seth and you stayed hidden until Seth brought you out.
Walking out into the clearing behind Edward and Bella, you saw the Cullens in front of a fire. The bodies must have been the newborns. To your right was Leah in front of a giant rock. She turned to look at you, looked as if she was going to come to you until she caught the scent of another newborn. Leah spun around, wasting no time to go for him.
“Leah, don’t.” Edward yelled, making you panic.
When you glanced back at Leah, the newborn had his arms around her neck. Jacob ran past you, almost knocking you over. He jumped over Leah taking the newborn with him. Jacob rolled around with the vampire before--
Crack
The vampire broke his ribs before dropping him. Paul and Sam were quick to tear the newborn apart. Jacob phased back to his human form. You and Bella raced towards him. By time you got there, Carlisle and Edward were checking him over.
“Bella.”
“Jake, I’m right here.” Bella reassured him.
The wolf pack ran out from behind the rock in their human forms.
“Jacob, you idiot, I had it!” Leah yelled, clearly in distress.
“Leah!” Sam reprimanded her.
“I need to reset the bones before his accelerated healing kicks in. It’s already starting.” Carlisle state, looking over Jacob.
“Well, we need to get him out of here. We don’t want a fight with the Volturi.” Edward pushed.
“We’ll take him back to Billy’s.” Sam suggested.
Carlisle nodded. “I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
“Hang in there, Jake.” Bella said before backing away from him. You walk to stand beside her.
The pack had picked Jacob up and were walking to Billy's.
“Go, it’s not a good idea if the Volturi knows you exist.” You nodded, quickly following behind the pack.
--
You were standing behind Leah as she paced back and forth in front of you. The wolves, you, Emily, and Billy were standing outside Billy’s house while Carlisle rebroke Jacob's ribs. The screams coming from Jacob were hard to listen to. You tried ignoring it.
Your sister’s truck pulled up. She immediately got out, slamming to truck door close.
“Hey,” Bella started before Jacob's screams cut her off.
“It’s been going on for a while.” Quil begin.
“Doc’s rebreaking his bones.” Embry finished for him.
Leah spoke up, “Why’d he have to butt in, I could’ve taken that tick-.”
“Oh, give it a rest, Leah.” Paul said, causing you and Leah to glare at him.
The door opened, Carlisle and Sam stepped out.
“The worst is over. He’ll be alright.” Everyone took a breath of relief at Carlisle’s words. “I gave him some morphine, but his body temperature will burn it off soon. I’ll come back to set up a drip.”
“Thank you.” Billy offered him his hand. Carlisle took it and shake it.
Carlisle turned to Bella. “He’s asking for you.”
Bella looked at Billy for permission before looking at you. “I’ll see you at home.” You nodded, watching as she went inside.
Everyone dispersed after that. Sam helped Billy back inside before taking Emily home, the rest of the pack went home while Leah took you home.
--
It’s been a month since the battle. Bella and Edward told Charlie about the engagement, he wasn’t very happy, but accepted it anyway. When the wedding invitations were sent out, Jacob disappeared to who-knows-where. Everything with the vampire world was calm for now. Nobody was in danger for once.
You and Leah were happy. She’s been taking you out on dates, sneaking into your room at night to cuddle when your dad was home. You got her to open up a bit, not much, but it was progress.
You were drying your hair after your shower when Leah climbed through your window. You put your towel in your laundry basket, running up to her to greet her.
“HI, Lee.” You hugged her.
“Hi.” She hugged back.
“How was patrol?” You asked, dragging her to your bed to cuddle.
“Sucked as usual. Paul and Jared trying to figure out what would go into a sandwich named after them. Embry and Quil going on and on about The Game of Thrones. You know, the usual.” She rambled a bit.
“I’m about curious about what Paul and Jared came up with.” Leah playfully scoffed.
“You don’t want to know, trust me.” She said dramatically, causing you giggle. She cracked a smile.
You slowly stopped, getting lost in each other's eyes. Leah raised a hand up, pushing your still damp hair behind your ear.
“Thank you, for dealing with me. I know it wasn’t easy. But you stuck by me and made me realize I’m standing right where I’m meant to be.” Leah spilt her heart out to you.
“Always.” You muttered.
“I love you.” Leah whispered before kissing you. It was slow and filled with passion. Like she was trying to give all her love through the kiss and you gave it right back.
Pulling back, you smiled at her. “I love you too.”

Be Somebody to Someone 1/4
You've lived your entire life in Forks, Washington without anyone paying too close attention to you. Then you befriend the new girl and suddenly you find yourself friends with the unexpected. And maybe even something more if a certain shapeshifter stops denying the Fates.
PART ONE | PART TWO | PART THREE | PART FOUR
Tumblr media
Words: 5.1K Author's Note: If this receives 100 notes, I will post part two as soon as possible instead of waiting for next Friday. Happy reading! Just so you know, reader indulges in edibles. I've never been high a day in my life, so everything in here is purely made up. Also, it's been a while since I've seen Twilight, so I forgot if Edward was "friendly" with Bella before Tyler nearly mowed her down.
For as long as you could remember, life in Forks was dull. The only time anything interesting happened was when the Cullens moved in from Alaska, but even at that they merely held your attention for a full day before you realized they preferred to keep to themselves. They were quite intimidating as well, but you learned to keep to yourself and focus elsewhere.
As the days turned into weeks, and the rumor mill ran rampant, the female population of Forks High seemed to become infatuated with the silent Cullen and Hale boys. It even got to the point that girls would ask you to switch seats so they could sit next to either Edward or Emmett, but you merely stared at them as you opened your textbook and sunk further into your seat. Unbeknownst to you at the time, that earned you an ounce of respect from the private siblings, even more so when students would try to rope you in to talking about the family. Since you sat next to a couple of them in class, everyone wanted to know if you learned anything about them, but you'd merely plug your ears with earbuds to tune them out.
The Cullen/Hale siblings ended up being quite the enigma- never speaking with anyone unless they were a teacher, but oftentimes you'd find class notes tucked under your textbook you'd never written, or answers whispered to you when the teacher caught you dozing in class. Alice and Emmett were the main culprits who found it in themselves to help you, also redirecting you in the hallways when you weren't paying attention to help you avoid knocking yourself on your ass. And every time that happened, you merely grinned or nodded to show your thanks, and then were on your way.
For a whole school year, you were the only student that part of the family acknowledged.
But then came Isabella Swan.
Sitting in the back of the classroom in Biology, you are able to see the way Edward reacts to the new girl. You also see the aftermath and how hurt she is.
"Hey Goose?" You dopily grin at her as you walk up to the desk she is still sitting at, slowly packing up her belongings. "Don't sweat Cullen's reaction. He and his siblings are- they're just- they tend to keep to themselves."
"Goose?" She frowns at you.
"Yeah. Your name's a bird or something, right?"
Her lips twitch in amusement. "It's Swan."
"Same thing." You shrug. "Anyway, I just thought I'd drop by and mention that thing about Edward. He and his siblings are all intimidating, but it's just who they are. Don't take it personally."
"T-Thanks."
As you're walking away, you hear Mike Newton ask, "What did stoner girl want?"
"Stoner girl?"
"YN YLN. That girl is always high, but no one's ever caught her smoking."
You chuckle to yourself, groaning a moment later when you hit your shoulder on the door jamb on the way out.
Tumblr media
A week passes by before Bella Swan seeks you out, pulling out a chair across from you during lunch. You glance up from your tray of food, smile, and go back to ripping apart your chicken tenders before popping a piece into your mouth.
"Hey, Goose."
She huffs a laugh as she takes a seat, setting her tray down. "YN."
"How is Forks treating you?"
"It's okay." She takes a piece of cucumber off the top of her salad and pops it into her mouth. "Not a fan of the dreary weather, but I'll get used to it."
"Are you kidding me?" Your eyes widen dramatically, causing the pale girl to chuckle. "The weather is the best part! It's nap weather. It's my favorite."
Bella can only shake her head in amusement before trying to subtly glance over her shoulder at another table. The Cullen/Hale table, to be precise. "Hey YN, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
As Bella faces you yet again, she says, "It's just- out of everyone, you're most likely to give me some semblance of the truth rather than rumors you've heard."
"Okay," you drawl.
"Have you noticed anything weird about Edward and his family?"
You blink at her before glancing at the family in question, watching briefly as they pick at the food on their trays. "Yeah, I guess." You shrug. "I took note of some odd quirks and gene traits, but then I dropped it. To them, we might be odd so.." you trail off, ending the subject then and there. Bella flashes a tight smile in acceptance.
The two of you continue to make idle chit chat as you eat and she tells you a bit about living with her mom before deciding to move in with her dad. Then when asked why she's not sitting with her usual band of merry peers, you find out that Lauren and Mike are still as annoying as ever.
"Yeah, I never really cared for them," you tell her. "Angela is the only decent one out of the bunch. Jessica has her moments, but when her insecurities get in the way, she's just as bad as Lauren."
"You used to hang out with them?" Bella asks.
"In Junior High and the first year of high school," you admit. "Now.. now I'm just on my lonesome and perfectly content." Reaching into your backpack that had been sitting on the chair next to you, you pull out a baggie of gummy bears. "Want one?" You ask your apparent new friend.
As Bella reaches across the table, Edward Cullen pops up out of nowhere and takes a seat next to her. "Don't. It's cannabis."
Bella's hand freezes and you playfully wiggle your eyebrows. "Don't be scared, Goose. You'd have to eat a few before feeling any of the good effects." As she pulls her empty hand back, you shrug and pop a gummy into your own mouth before putting the baggie away. "Way to mess with a girl's fun, Cullen." He flashes you a grin which you return as you settle back in your seat. "So what brings you and your bronzed, perfectly coiffed hero hair to our table?"
"Can't I just want the company of two of my peers?"
"We've been going to school together for how long?" You ask, arching an eyebrow at him. "We both know the reason you're here and it's not for my company." His grin doesn't falter and Bella blushes while suddenly finding her food tray very interesting. You chuckle as you stand, picking up your backpack and pulling on the straps. Then collecting your tray in hand, you grin at them. "See you guys later."
"Don't eat anymore gummies!" Bella calls out.
You wave off her concern, knowing your limit perfectly well and try to figure out what snack you want from the vending machine so you could snack in class later on.
You continue on with your day in a relaxed haze, perfectly content to ignore anyone and everyone as you complete your school work and doze off at your desk. Though you tended to spend your school days a little high, none of it ever affected your grades. In fact, it helped you zone out your distracting peers and focus on your work.
Most of the time, at least.
At the end of the school day, you zip up your jacket and pull a beanie down over your head as you step outside. You're used to the walk home by now, but there were some days where you didn't quite enjoy it so much. Today, for example, was one of those days.
So as you near Bella's monstrous red truck, you're grateful when she waves you over and asks, "Are you walking home?"
"Yeah. My parents don't get off of work for a few more hours and all my siblings have lives of their own." You shrug. "I'm used to it."
"Oh." Bella glances around before saying, "If you want, I can give you a ride."
"Yeah?"
"Of course. It wouldn't be a problem."
"Then yeah." You smile at her. "Thanks, Goose."
"Don't mention it." She chuckles. "You can put your stuff in the passenger seat if you want."
Taking her up on your offer, you walk around her truck until you're at the passenger door. You open it up and set your bag on the seat, taking your time in opening it up to retrieve the bag of gummies once more before shoving the baggie into your jacket pocket. Then just as you slam the truck door shut, a blaring horn has your head snapping up.
Tyler Crowley's van is sliding on black ice right towards Bella's truck- towards Bella herself- and you can only watch on in horror as the events play out. Bella is frozen and the most you can do is stumble away from the truck right as the van hits where your friend was standing. But the strangest thing happens- a small gap being left exactly where Bella was standing while the rest of the van continues to slide before hitting the back of Bella's truck and coming to a stop.
Everyone's suddenly screaming and rushing towards the accident, and you startle when Edward pops up from the gap where Bella was last seen. He hops into the bed of her truck before hopping down on your side and you gulp, shaking your head in disbelief.
"Either I'm really stoned or you're stupidly fast."
Edward glances at you and you're surprised to see dark eyes instead of their usual golden. But again, you push that thought out of your head. The weirdness of the Cullens/Hales was not your business. "Are you okay?" He asks, voice rough.
"Yep. Not a scratch." You wave him off.
"Good. Make sure Bella gets to the hospital."
"Duh."
The school parking lot is complete chaos as everyone makes sure Bella and Tyler are okay. Then the sirens of an ambulance and a fire truck pierce the air, and then everyone's working on extracting both teens as safely as possible.
"I'm fine. I'm okay," Bella continuously tells the EMT's. "I don't need to go to the hospital."
But none of the adults pay her any attention and load her up in the back of the EMS.
By some miracle you get them to let you go with her and you keep her company on the way to the hospital. You manage to join her in the little cubicle they leave her in, sitting on the bed behind her as she anxiously awaits the arrival of her father and doctor.
"Stop jiggling your leg, Goose. I'm trying to nap back here."
Bella huffs a laugh. "Sorry. I just know my dad's going to make a big deal about this."
"Dude!" You exclaim, chuckling. "You were almost squashed like a bug. If I were you, I'd be downing gummy after gummy. And speaking of, I got some in my pocket if you wanna chill."
"No. I don't need to be high right now."
"Really? I'm seriously debating about popping another one or two, but I think I need a level head for when your dad gets here."
Bella grins over her shoulder at you, shaking her head. Then just as you start to relax once more, the curtain surrounding the bed is yanked open. You yelp, Bella snorts, and the Chief of Police freezes as he glances between you and his daughter.
"Bella, I am so sorry!" Tyler says once he has sight of the girl.
"You're damn right you're sorry," the Chief says. "You're lucky I don't take your license for this."
"Dad, it's fine. It was an accident."
"You could have died, Bells!"
"I didn't. I'm fine."
"I am so sorry, Mr. Swan, I-" the Chief suddenly pulls the curtain closed, cutting off Tyler.
Bella groans and you snort, and then the Chief is staring right at you. Your smile suddenly fades and you climb out of the bed. "Right. I should- I'm just gonna go and-"
Bella smiles as you shrink under her dad's gaze. "Thanks for keeping me company, YN."
"Don't mention it, Goose." Before you can exit the curtain-offed room, you say, "My bag's still in your truck. Mind if I just collect it Monday morning at school?"
"Yeah. That's fine."
You offer her one last smile before exiting the back of the emergency room, making your way down the clean and crisp hallways. As you turn one corner, you come across Edward and his sister Rosalie having a heated conversation.
Your eyes widen. "Sorry. Didn't mean to-"
"It's fine," Edward says. "I needed to speak with you anyway."
Rosalie casts you a wary glance before walking off, leaving you alone with her brother. Silence briefly lingers and you reach into your pocket, pulling out your edibles. "Gummy?"
"No."
You shrug and put them away. "So what's up?"
"I need to know what you think you saw back at the school."
You arch an eyebrow at him, slowly grinning, and he fidgets under your stare. "Look, man, whatever that was back there.. it's none of my business. As far as I'm concerned, I'm too stoned to be a liable witness. Bella's alive and that's all that matters."
"Seriously?" Edward frowns. "You're not curious?"
"Of course I'm curious," you muse, "but secrets are secrets for a reason. We're not friends, not really, and that's fine. But I do have a favor to ask."
Edward, who'd seem to relax at your words, suddenly tenses all over again. "What?"
"Can you give me a ride home? It's a long walk from here and I would rather get home before my parents do."
"Yeah. That's fine."
"Thanks." Walking side by side with Edward Cullen, you can't help but ask, "So how much trouble do you think I'll get into if I attempt to get the Chief's daughter high as a kite?"
He smirks as he keeps his face forward. "You really need to stop trying to get everyone high."
Tumblr media
Over the next few days, you watch as Edward and Bella dance around each other. Some days they're happy and conversing with one another, and other days Edward is avoiding Bella and she wants to know why. She also hasn't let Edward's inhumane speed go, and every time she tries to drag you into that conversation you quickly remind her you were stoned and didn't know what it was that you saw.
And though you told Edward that his secret was a secret for a reason, and that you didn't care to find out what it was all about, he and his siblings seem to be more relaxed around you. Emmett especially took great joy in making you realize just how excellent their hearing was. And while you found it amusing and only added to your curiosity, you never voiced it. Nor did you speak about it with anyone else, something that the Cullen/Hale siblings came to appreciate.
Bella and Edward then became official, and all was good.
Rosalie obviously didn't like the girl, but the rest of the family seemed to take to her perfectly fine. The two of them were the talk of the school, and eventually you were too. They understood why the siblings spoke and interacted with Bella, but you were the odd one out. As far as everyone knew, all the siblings were dating each other, or Bella as in Edward's case, so no one knew why they accepted you into their exclusive little circle. Not even you knew, but you shrugged and accepted their appearances and conversations at your lunch table every now and then.
For a while, everything appears normal.
Until it isn't.
Bella and Edward had been the couple no one saw coming, but eventually came to accept, and then out of the blue the entire family just up and left. Bella was an absolute mess and you didn't think you were equipped to deal with the aftermath.
For months, Bella couldn't seem to leave her house and you weren't sure what to do. But you tried and tried to revive Bella 'Goose' Swan, and in doing so is what made Charlie Swan absolutely adore you.
Eventually there's a threat from Charlie that gives Bella a kick in the ass, and then she's calling you up to start hanging out again. You agree since she was the one with the vehicle and more often than not you found yourself in La Push to visit her friend Jacob Black.
After months of heartbreak, Jacob Black seems to bring your friend back to life a bit and you accept the weirdly obsessed boy into the fold. Especially when he accepts a gummy before Bella can warn him and the two of you spend the day scarfing down anything and everything edible in Bella's house.
You meet a few of Jacob's other friends, Quil and Embry, and both boys are immediately taken with you. Bella thinks it's absolutely hilarious, but you merely wave her off. It was adorable to watch them flirt.
But eventually, something else happens that you're not really privy to and Jacob seems to abandon both you and Bella. His words hit Bella a lot harder, especially after Edward's sudden disappearance, but you merely sigh when he gives you the it's not you, it's me speech and then wish him well with whatever he's obviously going through.
This time, however, Bella isn't willing to let things go or even fall back into a depression. Now- now she's pissed and she's determined to figure out what's going on with Jacob.
So here you sit in the passenger seat to Bella's truck, mind already in a haze after having popped two edibles earlier that morning thinking you were going to have a relaxing day.
Bella's truck skids to a stop in front of Jacob's house and she jumps out almost as soon as the engine is cut. You sigh and slowly climb out, following her to the door where she's speaking to a man in a wheelchair. You wince as she pushes past him, stopping and standing a few feet in front of the house as the man glances at you.
"Hi," you tell him. "I'm really sorry about Goose. That girl is the most stubborn person I've ever met and I'm too tired to be scolding her."
"It's alright, dear. I'm Billy, Jacob's father."
"YN," you introduce yourself. Before anything else can be said, sounds of laughter and whistles pierce the air. You glance in the direction of the noise, spotting four shirtless males- one of whom you recognize; Embry- who are walking out of the woods. They're playfully roughhousing with one another and then Bella's suddenly flying out of the house and marching in their direction. "Aw shit."
"Stop her," Billy urges.
"Goose, come on. Don't do this," you say as you chase after her.
"What did you do?" You hear her yell, advancing on three of the snickering boys. When they spot Bella, their amusement slowly vanishes. "What did you do?!" She asks again as she shoves one of them.
"Hey!" A man yells back, putting himself between Bella and the three boys as one leans towards her.
"What did you do to him?" She asks again.
"Goose," you sigh, shaking your head. You catch Embry's gaze and he grins at you, a grin which you return. "Come on, man. Let's just go." You reach for her arm, only for her to yank out of your grip.
"Easy," the one in charge says again, glancing between the two of you.
"He didn't want this!" She says.
One of the boys pushes up behind the one in charge, grin malicious. "What did we do? What did he do? What'd he tell you?"
"Both of you calm down," the mediator says. The one guy trying to get at Bella steps around his friend, ending up practically chest to chest with her.
"Nothing. He tells me nothing because he's scared of you."
The three boys start to chuckle and you step back with a groan when you see Bella rear her arm back. She punches the main culprit antagonizing her across the face and he whips his face back towards her, the seething anger now very much obvious.
"Paul, calm down!"
"Too late now," one of the boys muses.
Rolling your eyes, you step aside until you're by the only other person you know. "You're such an idiot, Goose."
"Bella, get back!"
The one they called Paul starts to huff and puff, his body pretty much vibrating in his anger. Then he starts to growl and your brow furrows in confusion, and then he is literally exploding out of his clothes and skin as he turns into a giant ferocious wolf.
Startled, you trip on your own two feet as you try to step back again, and fall on your butt.
"Bella! YN!" At the shout, you see Jacob running out of his house.
Bella, who had also fallen onto her butt, scrambles back up and starts to run back towards the house. "Run! Jake, run!"
Jacob jumps, exploding into a wolf as well. Your eyes widen, but you end up snorting as the wolves attack one another before disappearing into the woods.
"Survival 101 taught that girl nothing," you mumble when the drama is over with. Hearing a snort, you glance up to see Embry offering you a hand up. You take it. "Everyone knows you don't run from a predator. That only heightens their urge to give into the chase."
"You're taking this oddly well," the man in charge says.
Clearing your jeans and hands of any debris, you lazily smile at the man. "YN YLN. And I'm really high right now so the only urge I have is the urge to pet the giant doggo."
The three remaining males chuckle. "Sam Uley. Alpha," the one who had been in charge says.
"Cool."
Sam can only shake his head and then sighs when he stares at a dumbstruck Bella. "Boys, get the girls to Emily's. I'll track down Jacob and Paul, and meet you there."
As soon as Sam races off to go find the others, Embry introduces you to Jared. He's happy to meet you, especially your laid back attitude towards everything you've just witnessed. Embry then collects Bella and leads her back towards her truck, letting you and her jump into the cab while he offers to drive to Emily's. Then as soon as Jared jumps into the bed of the truck, you're off.
The wooden house Embry parks in front of isn't that far off from the beach and surrounded by the woods. It's small and quaint and a house you could see yourself living in, especially if it were close to the beach.
Bella mentions checking on Jacob, but Embry tells her that he'll be fine. He and Jared then quickly start betting about who'll be injured- either Paul or Jacob- and then Jared's laughing as he hops up the porch.
"Hey, about Emily," Embry suddenly says, "don't stare. It bugs Sam."
"Why would we stare?" Bella asks, but Embry merely smiles before hopping up the porch and inside the house.
When Bella hesitates, you sigh and sling an arm around her shoulders. "Come on. You made your bed, now it's time to lie in it. Let's go."
As you and Bella make your way inside the house, Jared and Embry are already seated at a table. There's a woman by a bar counter with her back towards you and when she turns, she hesitates. And while the three of you are staring at one another, you quickly realize why Embry said not to stare.
The woman has scars down the right side of her face, from her hairline down to her chin. "Who's this?"
You smile at her.
"Bella Swan and YN YLN," Embry says.
"I'm YN. She's Bella," you say.
The woman- Emily- smiles at you before setting her gaze on Bella. "So you're the vampire girl." She turns to continue plating a platter of muffins.
You tense and glance at Bella. "Vampire?"
Your friend fidgets nervously before stepping out from under your arm, heading towards the table. You arch an eyebrow at her and head towards the table as well. "So you're the wolf girl," Bella says instead.
Emily chuckles. "I guess so." She picks up the platter of muffins and takes them to the table. "Well I'm engaged to one."
"No way!" You exclaim. "The sex must be phenomenal."
Embry chokes on the muffin he'd just bitten into and Jared freezes as he's reaching for his own. Emily's eyes widen, though you can see the amusement dancing in her expression, and Bella is beet red. "YN! You can't say stuff like that."
"What? We're all adults." You glance at Jared and Embry. "Well, mostly."
Emily finally laughs and the boys relax, her hand shooting out to catch Jared's wrist as he finally takes hold of a muffin. "Save some for your brothers." She then leans back to shove both boys by their shoulders. "And ladies first." Emily then glances at you and Bella again. "Muffin?"
"Don't mind if I do." You step forward to take a seat at the table, reaching for a muffin to happily bite into.
Bella takes a little bit longer to accept, and when she does she merely picks at hers as she continues to stand.
"Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sam's gag order," Emily says.
"He.. didn't say anything to me." Bella fidgets.
"That's a wolf thing," Embry explains. "Alpha's orders. You gotta obey whether you want to or not. Oh and check it out- we can hear each other's thoughts."
"Would you shut up," Jared tells Embry, before looking at you and Bella. "These are trade secrets, dammit! These chicks run with vampires."
You frown. "What?"
"You can't really run with vampires," Bella says. "Because they're fast."
"Yeah? Well we're faster. Freaked out yet?"
"You're not the first monsters I met."
"Hold the fuck on," you finally say. "Vampires are real? Who are the vampires?!"
Embry, Jared and Emily go quiet, and all eyes dart to Bella. You turn around in your seat to look up at your friend. "You, uh, you never wanted to know," she mumbles.
It takes a second for her words to sink in and your mind to catch up, and then when you connect the dots, you bark out a laugh. "Edward and his family? Seriously?!"
"Jake's right. You girls are good with weird." Sam walks in, grinning as he makes a beeline for Emily. When she's in his arms, they share a chaste kiss before he starts to press kisses all over her scars.
"D'aww. Cute," you utter. And then when all gazes are on you, you shrug and get back on topic. "To be fair, I never knew I was associating with vampires, so you can't hold that against me. I just knew the family was odd, but I didn't want to know their secret because I like a mostly drama-free life."
"Yet you showed up with Bella to confront Jacob?" Embry asks.
"I'm easily manipulated when I'm under the influence," you say. Then looking back at Bella, you smirk. "So you were bangin' Nosferatu, huh? That must've been fun."
"W-We didn't!" She stammers as the group laughs.
"No?" You frown. "Not even once?" Bella shakes her head. "How are we even friends? If I was dating a vampire or a werewolf, I'd have slipped between the sheets with them immediately," you admit. "You know, for science."
"Well when you put it that way.."
"No." You immediately shoot Jared down which makes Embry explode with laughter. Even Sam and Emily smile at Jared's put out expression.
The screen door opening catches everyone's attention, and Paul and Jacob step inside in the best of moods. Jacob stays by the door and you situate yourself correctly in your seat once more, not paying attention as the one they called Paul pulls out the chair next to you. You do, however, hear him apologize to Bella before she walks off towards Jacob.
"Hey Paul, this is YN," Embry says. "Met her a while back. She's cool."
You turn to Paul just as he turns towards you, gazes clashing. You feel your breath hitch as Paul freezes, eyes subtly widening before his expression goes slack. You offer him a shaky smile. "H-Hey." You break the stare, only to find everyone else staring at you in surprise. "What?"
"Nothing," Sam immediately blurts.
You narrow your eyes at the man before shrugging and take a bite out of your muffin once more. Schooling your features into indifference, Paul suddenly pushes away from the table and marches outside.
"Don't worry about him," Embry says, watching his friend go. "That's just the way Paul is."
"He's a real charmer, huh?" You nervously chuckle. Then attempting to put the snub out of your mind, you say, "Emily, I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure you're gonna have an intruder every weekend from now on."
"An intruder?" She frowns.
"Yeah. Me." You take another bite of the muffin and groan. "These are so good."
Slowly, but surely the group all chuckle..
"Are you sure it's just not the munchies talking?" Embry teases.
"Could be." You shrug. "But I'm willing to continue testing that theory out if it means I get all the baked goods."
"Well I'm here everyday," Emily tells you. "I wouldn't mind the company."
"Yes! We need to exchange numbers so when I find a ride, I'll call to make sure it's alright to come over."
Emily smiles and immediately gets up to grab a pen and a pad of paper. Sam watches fondly as Emily writes down her number before ripping the paper and giving it to you. You accept it before taking the pad for yourself to write your own number and then pass it to her so she'll have your number as well.
The screen door creaks open and you glance over at it to see Bella. "Hey, we should head back to Forks."
"Yeah. Of course." Turning back to the table, you smile at its occupants. "Emily, thanks for the muffins."
"You're welcome."
"Boys, thanks for the entertainment."
"Anytime," Sam muses.
They all get up to watch as you join Bella and Jacob outside. Leaning into Jacob's side on the way to the truck, you ask, "So what will it take for you to turn into the doggo again and let me cuddle you?"
Jacob laughs as Bella shakes her head. "Get in the truck, YN."
To be continued..

Don't think about Emily and Leah's resentment towards Sam for tearing them apart. Don't think about Emily going crazy between the wolf she has loved since a child and the wolf she has loved since the past two years, both her soulmates as far as she is concerned. Don't think about Leah wanting her sister back, but there's so much distance and her dad's dead and she's kind of been numb since then and she simply doesn't have the energy. Don't think about Sam feeling his soulmate's resentment, but too afraid to ask her because he may be the big bad wolf, but he is also a 20 something year old kid who was so lonely, his only comfort being Emily. Don't think about Emily wanting Leah back and Leah wanting Emily back and it's no longer about Sam, it never was, but about two girls, two best friends, two sisters who never drifted apart. Don't think about Emily wishing late into the nights that Leah was apart of the pack so she could know the truth. Don't think about Leah thanking the moon some day that she became a wolf because it got her her sister back finally. Because come what may, they will find their way back to each other.

Stay - Paul Lahote X Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Happy 2024! I honestly didn't know what to call this, but I just kept writing and now I'll probably need a part 2 🙃 enjoy 💕 2.8K words
"You have no idea how excited I am. I mean just how long have I been begging you to come live with me?" Emily grinned into the phone that was tucked between her shoulder and ear. She paced the kitchen while whisking a bowl of brownie mix, mindlessly chatting away.
"I must warn you though that the house does get chaotic. But the boys are pretty good about keeping up after themselves," she said while swatting away Embry's hand that almost made a dip in the bowl. He put his hands up in self defense as she rolled her eyes.
"Sounds great. Sam will pick you up at the airport tomorrow at noon. Let me know if you need anything else, and have a safe flight. I love you!" She she set the bowl on the counter, hanging up the phone.
"Was that Y/N? She's moving in tomorrow?" Quil questioned from the table with a mouth full of chips.
"Yes, and I trust that you boys will be on your best behavior in welcoming her..." Emily raised her eyebrow as she pointed a dripping whisk of batter at all the men now surrounding the kitchen.
"Depends, is she hot?" Embry snickered as he sat down.
"Oh....she is." Quil emphasized with wide eyes.
"Get it Embry!" Paul snorted as he clapped him on the back, reaching over into Quil's bag of chips.
"They WILL be on their best behavior. And no one will be 'getting' shit." The booming voice of Sam emerged behind Emily, wrapping his arms around her torso.
He reached his head over her shoulder as she let him lick what was left on the whisk, earning a disgusted "Seriously?" from Quil.
"Hey, but what if she's my imprint??" Embry held his up his finger to argue.
"You know that would be a different story...but we know already she isn't Quil's" Sam smirked at the youngest pack members now disappointed face.
"You guys are kidding right? I've seen pictures. Shes insanely out of all your leagues." Jacob quipped as he strolled to the living room.
"Anything is better than my crushes newborn infant..." Embry muttered under his breath, making all the boys cower in laughter.
"Oh yeah? You wanna say that again?" Jacob challenged.
Sam walked around in between them, looking from side to side at them both.
"THIS is what Emily is talking about. Keep the fights outside boys. I mean it. Just because Y/N knows about the pack doesn't mean she won't get scared if you clowns nearly phase in the kitchen. Are we clear?"
The two reluctantly nodded, Jacob sulking away to the living room.
"But come on, that was kinda funny.." Embry whispered, making the other boys giggle.
Paul shook his head with a smile at his little brother, leaving the room to shower before dinner.
-
There was something about the conversation that stuck with Paul throughout the night. Since Sam had met Emily, all of his brothers wanted imprints. They all saw what it was like to have one up close, and craved it desperately. He grimaced at the thought. The idea of a "soulmate" sounded ridiculous to Paul.
The problem wasn't that he didn't believe in it. Anybody could see the intense love that imprints had for one another, their bond growing with them until old age.
But Paul was not familiar with the term love. He never did get to see the love between his father and mother. She had been his imprint, but passed long before Paul could remember much about her. He watched his father struggle emotionally, never being able to get through the grief of her loss. Sure, he raised Paul as best he could, but deep down it was his mother that would have filled the void in their quiet house.
Things did get a little brighter when Paul joined the pack. For the first time he truly felt like he was part of a real family. He came home to hot meals, genuine laughter, and lively conversation. Not only had he gained a group of brothers, but ones with unwavering loyalty. None of them ever strayed away when Paul lost control of his temper, and were the first ones to help him learn to control it.
Maybe that was the reason he never looked for anything serious when it came to women. What was the point? One little outburst and they were out the door quicker than they had come in. He didn't allow himself to feel anything for them, because they'd end up leaving, and he was saving himself the heart break anyways.
Paul lay awake that night certain about one thing, he didn't need an imprint.
-
You inhaled the crisp fall air. Smiling wide as you looked up the steps to the new home awaiting you, the patio adorned in different flowers and cutesy outdoor decor.
"Oh Em it's just how I remember. You always make it look so cozy," you said as you squeezed the arm of your cousin beside you.
She returned your same smile.
"You're too sweet. I just can't believe you're really here. Come on, I'll introduce you to the boys."
You followed her up the steps, walking through the door to the warm smell of baked goods, no doubt that Emily had been up all night. You chuckled to yourself as you remember how she would go overboard on food whenever she was excited about something and couldn't sleep.
What you weren't used to, however, was being greeted by the several shirtless men. All incredibly in shape with tattoos on their arms, you might have been intimidated if it weren't for their cheesy smiles.
Emily gestured to each of them,
"You remember Quil, and that's Embry, Jacob, Seth, andddd well," she looked around puzzled for a moment. "I guess I'll introduce you to Paul whenever he comes around."
You waved at Quil and shook the other's hands.
There must have been some sort of inside joke, because as you finished with introductions you saw Sam laugh while they collectively let out a small sigh.
You don't think you were meant to hear it, but you caught Sam whisper at Embry,
"Better luck next time kid."
Emily didn't make a big deal of whatever it was, guiding you to your room.
After you got settled in, you found yourself strolling the hallway, looking over all the framed pictures on the wall. You had been over the moon when Emily had found Sam. You've never seen her so happy before, and you could tell he looked at her in the exact same way.
Not paying attention when the bathroom door opened, you collided with a large bare chest that stepped into the hall.
You gasped as two strong arms to match caught you before you fell, luckily, and you embarrassingly faced the one man you of course had no former introduction with.
"I am so, so sorry. I-"
"No no it's fine, are you-"
Both of you started and stopped mid sentence. Your attention had been captured when you two locked eyes. It was like you had been anchored to the floor by them. This warm, fuzzy energy had your entire body buzzing. It was so silent that you could hear your own blood flow in your ears. You furrowed your eyebrows in the haze. What the hell...
"ARE YOU SHITTING ME??"
A loud voice cut through the trance and you flinched at the abrupt sound. The man held you slightly tighter for a moment, as if he was about to protect you from whatever had interrupted you both in this hypnotic state.
Turning around so you both could see that the voice had been Embry, the man looked back and quickly dropped his arms, as if he just realized he had been holding you that whole time.
An unfamiliar emptiness lingered when he let go. He quickly averted his gaze, mumbling another apology before brushing past you, into a room, shutting the door.
-
His imprint. Right there. In the hallway of his own home.
Paul couldn't breathe.
He sat on the edge of his bed, nervously running his hands through his hair in a panic.
You were beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Your smell was intoxicating and your skin was so, so very soft. Your voice sounded like an angel. Your hair-
No.
No, he couldn't let himself think like this. He didn't need an imprint. Didn't even want one in the first place.
Was this some kind of sick joke the universe was playing on him? This girl could have anyone she wants. Why him?
Emily's call for dinner had him taking deep breaths. He could do this. They could live amongst eachother and not have to talk. There's ton of people in this house, it would be rare that the two of them would ever be alone. Right? Right. He could do this.
He walked into the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face. Wake up. It's just some girl. No different than the many that he had been with. Hell, if he could have sex with someone and never think of them again, he could do it. They had barely exchanged a sentence. Barely touched. He would be fine.
-
You sat down at the table, trying to behave as normal as possible. What happened in the hall was nothing. Whiplash. Yes, it was probably the whiplash from running into him. The poor guy seemed shy, and he was most likely just as shook up as you. It was a small accident and nothing more. He certainly didn't seem angry or upset, just caught off guard.
But wow....was he handsome. Certainly more attractive than any lousy guy you'd ever been with. He had this aroma of sandalwood and forest that was enchanting.
Okay, slow down Y/N. Let's not walk in on the first day and jump on some guy. After all, you two are going to be living together. Maybe don't make him uncomfortable in his own home. You shook your head to yourself. Just forget about the whole thing and it will be fine.
Luckily, Emily had started conversations around the table, easily able to take your mind elsewhere.
That was, until he came in the room. There was a beat of silence when he entered, the other boys seeming to look at him like they were anticipating something. When he didn't make a sound or even look up to anyone, slumping at the table and taking a plate, the conversations arose again.
Dinner was excellent as usual for Emily's cooking, and besides your beating heart constantly begging you to look at the man near the end of the table, it was almost normal.
It was when Emily put delicious brownies on the table, that it took a turn for the worse.
"I'M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU AGAIN. SHUT THE FUCK ALONE ABOUT IT" Everyone's head turned to the angry voice. It was him. He was so visibly upset that he was shaking, staring daggers at Embry beside him. Slamming his fists on the table as he stood up, you let an audible gasp slip.
That's when he looked at you for the second time that night. It was a far reach, but somehow you saw his eyes soften. The crinkles of anger in his eyebrows vanished, and he swallowed, before bolting out the door. Sam immediately followed, and Emily sighed, reaching out to touch your arm.
"I'm sorry about Paul. He's very.....expressive sometimes."
Paul.
-
"Leave me alone Sam."
Paul sighed through the mind link, his large wolf racing through the trees.
He didn't mean it. He never means it. But Embry would simply not stop talking. First it was meaningless. He asked what imprinting felt like. Paul had shrugged it off as nothing crazy, hoping he'd drop it there. Then, he had asked him if he planned on pursuing the imprint. Of course he told him he wasn't. He didn't need a soulmate. No matter what his instincts told him. But then, Embry had smiled and thanked him, telling him that you were now "fair game".
That had been when he lost it.
He stopped on the edge of a cliff, breathing in the fresh water air. Sam slowly approached his side.
"Embry only said that to get a rise out of you, you know."
Paul scoffed.
"He can do whatever he wants. I don't care about her."
"Oh you don't?" Sam didn't sound so convinced.
"Even if I did, she wouldn't want me. Did you....did you see the look on her face when I yelled?" Paul replayed it over and over. You had looked absolutely frightened.
"There is a reason she was chosen to be your imprint Paul. You don't know Y/N. She is patient, and most of all understanding. If you talked to her-"
"I don't need to talk to her. I am perfectly fine alone. I don't need a woman, and I definitely don't need an imprint."
Sam sighed.
"Paul. You can do what you want. I'm not the type of alpha to force you to love someone. But believe me when I say that I had a dark past. I was also comfortable with being alone. Emily is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Having a conversation with her doesn't mean there will be wedding bells tomorrow. All I'm saying is you don't know unless you try."
Paul nodded, and Sam left him with his thoughts.
-
You stared at the numbers on your phone screen. 2:00am. You huffed in frustration. Your mind had been a constant replay of the events today, your mind spiraling. You had settled on the fact things around here were weird, when you had visited Emily and accidentally caught sight of Sam in wolf form. But this energy couldn't have anything to do with that. Could it?
You decided to make yourself some tea to try and relax. Knowing Emily you knew there had to be some in the kitchen. You tip toed in the dark, your body stiffening as you recognized a familiar muscular back that sat at the kitchen table in a dim light.
You were ready to retreat back to your room when he turned his head around to look at you.
Damn, wolves must have good hearing.
"I was just....going to make some tea.." you pointed to the cabinet awkwardly.
He nodded, looking back down at what appeared to be a cup of coffee.
He couldn't sleep either?
You mindlessly tapped your fingers against the counter as you awaited the kettle, praying that if you stared at it long enough, it would speed up the process.
-
Fuck, was this torture. You were like a goddess, standing there in your pajamas, hair astray and up in a haphazard bun. He imagined walking up behind you, wrapping his arms around you, soaking in your warmth while he pressed gentle kisses on your neck. He wondered what it sounded like to hear you laugh...
STOP STARING. Say something. Anything. Just. Try.
He cleared his throat. It must have startled you because you quickly turned to face him.
"I'm...sorry. About what you saw earlier. That's not like me. I-Embry, he can get under my skin sometimes," he rubbed the back of his head.
"But that's no excuse. I'm-um, Im Paul, by the way."
He lifted his hand up in an almost wave. Why was he so awkward? He was never this way with women.
You giggled, and suddenly, he felt like he was in heaven.
"Y/N. And no worries at all, Emily said you can be....'expressive' sometimes."
He chuckled.
"That's one word for it. But I just don't want to scare you off..."
"Well. I think if knowing that you can all turn into a large creatures who can rip me apart and that doesn't scare me away, I think you were okay." You smiled. He could look at that smile forever.
-
He was actually talking to you. Man, was his laugh so perfect. You could talk with him forever.
The kettle screeched, and you reluctantly made your tea.
"Well....I guess I'll see you around, Paul." You took your mug and headed for your room.
-
His name on her tongue. He wanted her to say it again.
"You can stay. If-if you want. I, uh, I don't...know much about you."
You smiled.
"I'd like that."
To be continued......

okay, so hear me out a horny embry having uncontrollable steamy thoughts about his imprint on duty 😉
PLEASE😩
...
"what are you-" sam started as jared came into the house, just having barely pulled his shorts on as he stepped into emily's kitchen.
"i can't listen to that guy's head anymore," jared cut off sam to explain, letting out a loud groan as he sat down in the chair next to you as he turned to look at you, "like i love you both but holy shit i did not need to see an image of you naked like that," he groaned again, dropping his head back and closing his eyes as he took a few deep breaths.
you let out a quiet giggle, looking over to emily who also laughed, "he was thinking about y/n?" emily asked softly, a teasing tone lacing her words that had you giggling again as you waited for jared's response.
"not just thinking about her," he grumbled, "the insane sex positions that man was thinking about you in is going to be hard to wash from my mind," he whined, throwing his arm over his eyes as he tried to get the mental imagine out of his head.
jacob chuckled from his spot across from you, "worse than the one of paul and rachel?" he asked teasingly, sam and jared both letting out loud groans at the obscene memory paul now had in all of their heads.
"definitely worse," jared grumbled, eliciting a round of laughs from all of you. you rolled your eyes with a giggle, getting up and heading outside only to see embry walking towards you with just a pair of low hanging sweatpants on.
"embry," you giggled, squealing when he picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, "i heard you were having some lewd thoughts," you laughed as he carried you over to your car, quickly getting you in the passenger seat before coming around to the driver's side.
"couldn't keep thinking about it anymore," he quickly explained, leaning over to press a quick kiss to your lips before he was driving back to your apartment to show you just what he was daydreaming about.

Sam: you passed out, do you remember anything?
Emily: only the ambulance ride to the hospital
Sam: That wasn’t an ambulance. I drove you.
Emily: But I heard a siren?
Embry: That was Seth.
Seth: Sorry, I got nervous

What if Imprinting wasn’t a thing for the Twilight Quileute shapeshifters? Like, the shifting still happens, but no one imprints on anyone.
Canon remains essentially the same.
Sam and Leah are still together (as they were after Sam had shifted but before he imprinted). Leah eventually shifts herself and is relieved to find out just what the fuck was going on with Sam but has new problems called turning into a wolf all the time with these leering teenage boys who see her naked. I imagine she also feels she's becoming estranged from Emily, who is as close to a sister to her, who she can't tell any of this to. Leah's life still sucks, but it sucks in different ways.
Quil doesn't find himself in a relationship with a baby, he doesn't know it, but he would be very happy about that.
The major difference is that Jacob either attempts to kill Renesmee after her birth and succeeds in killing her and Rosalie (and then is probably killed by Emmett in vengeance) or Jacob fails and Bella wakes up to learn that Rosalie murdered Jacob because he was about to kill Renesmee (Bella of course wouldn't believe this and would blame Rosalie for the rest of her life).
Regardless, the Cullens then have to leave Forks as promised as Jacob doesn't pull his Charlie stunt to force them to stay. Without that, Irina likely doesn't come around unannounced, and so the trial doesn't happen.

Horny Wolfpack + imprints rambling ahead so good luck😭❤️
Tumblr media
Enjoy the random photo <3
BUT LIKE
You, Emily, Kim, and Rachel (if you aren’t Paul’s imprint) do something against their orders because they’ve been ignoring you or working too much so you all just “fuck you, imma do exactly what you don’t want us to do for the fun of it”.
You get back to Emily’s house and they’re all pissed off.
Smut ensues :).
In the house.
In the living room.
Next to each other.
OR
You are passed around between everyone in the pack.
Maybe including the imprints, not sure though🤔
Don’t have much on this one because it’s pretty straight forward lmao.
The last one I have (for now) is:
You somehow pissing off Embry, Quil, Paul and Jared.
First you think they’re just pissed and are going to ignore you or bully you for a while.
But no.
They fuck you until you’re crying.
Or passed out.
Whichever comes first I guess.

Idea from this picture 👆🏼
I might make these into fics tbh🤭.
