Padawans wearing armor so that their clones can stop having heart attacks because they wanted to match their older brothers. The clones are extremely pleased. Side eyeing their Generals hoping they will follow the padawans lead (except for Jaro Tapal, because he wears his armor the whole time like a good Lasat always would, and seeing Cal walk out in his new armor made him so proud)

Qui-Gon: *on his first night with Padawan Kenobi after his older padawans convinced him he needed a new baby so he’d bother someone else* Alright, now I think it’s bedtime. I know it’s a bit earlier than usual but you have a whole new set of classes to switch to tomorrow so we have to get up early.

Obi-Wan: *is only 11, is fine with more sleep* Okay, Master! *wanders off to get in his pajamas*

Qui-Gon: *making a pot of sleepy tea*

Obi-Wan: *comes back in jammies looking confused*

Qui-Gon: What’s wrong, Padawan?

Obi-Wan: I can’t find my sleepy cocoon.

Qui-Gon: …your sleeping bag? Oh, I assumed you used that for camping in the room of a thousand fountains, do you usually sleep in that at night?

Obi-Wan: ??? No? No I use it sometimes but you’re right, that’s for camping nights. I mean my sleepy cocoon?

Qui-Gon: …what is a sleep cocoon?

Obi-Wan: It’s… it’s a stretchy fabric that goes over you?

Qui-Gon: …gimme a second, I don’t think I saw anything like that in your bags.

One call to the creche later

Creche Master: Is something wrong with Padawan Kenobi settling in?

Qui-Gon: Um, he’s missing something that I don’t think I’ve seen. He called it his sleepy cocoon?

Creche Master: Oh! That went into the laundry this morning, it probably got delivered back to us, I’ll have it sent right away.

Qui-Gon: Um, I need to ask… what is a sleepy cocoon?

Creche Master: *snort* It’s an anti-grav sleeping tube. It’s a compression material so he doesn’t feel it when he starts to float in his sleep. He’s too close to the cosmic force to control it, so they give him the compression tube.

Qui-Gon: …you’re saying he disobeys gravity in his sleep, so the tube makes him stop realizing it?

Creche Master: Yeah, it’s pretty important, actually. It keeps his joints in place. No cricks in his neck or dead arms if they start to fall.

Qui-Gon: Amazing. A straight jacket for his cosmic force abilities. I adore it. Please send it here. He can get out of it on his own, right?

Creche Master: Oh course, it’s just pressure, not actually being tied up.

Qui-Gon: Delightful. I’ll get him extras for off planet missions.

The fact that Ahsoka didn't want to be Anakin's Padawan because she was scared of him kills me every time.

She tought he was distant and all she knew was that he would always won the battles, that he was the Chosen One. No one but Obi Wan truly knew him.

She was even shocked when she found out he was going to be her Master: she wasn't going to be able of being as good as him, she could never be good enough for him. And yet, she was able of it, and she could.

Anakin wasn't only her master, but her older brother at the end of the day.

You ever think abt how shocked the clones must've been who met the young Jedi padawans, the like 12-13 year olds. These men go off from Kamino having been teached that they'll be lead into battle by strong wise Jedi- and they meet their Jedi. And sure, there is a good chance their general will fit the "strong and wise" thing, but THE CHILD WHO'S ALSO A JEDI NEXT TO THEM DEFINITELY DOESN'T. Imagine shinies just kinda staring at their padawan-commander silently asking themselves if somehow they ended up at the wrong adress. But NOPE. This is actually serious. One of their Jedi leaders in an actual child. You can't tell me that there wasn't atleast SOME confusion among the clones. They DID NOT expect the padawans.

I think that we as a fandom moved on too quickly from the fact that Obi-Wan canonically lived in a cave ON PURPOSE for TEN YEARS. Hello it's @clone-anon. I love this new season. Who can say no to big brother Crosshair? Here's some Crosshair x former padawan reader with big brother vibes. Influenced by TBB S3E4.

You met Omega and her brothers while on the run from the Empire. You'd hidden your abilities ever since Order 66 was handed down, but sometimes it was tempting to reach out. It's not that you needed it for protection necessarily, although sometimes your lightsaber came in handy when you were in a bit of a bind. It was more that you missed your master and fellow jedi. It was lonely and you wondered if you took the risk to reach out more, you might feel those you'd lost again.

You first met Omega at a bazaar. You reached into your pocket for what few credits and she got the slightest glimpse of your lightsaber. Omega brought you to her brothers and promised you'd be safe with them, knowing how dangerous the galaxy was for you. It took some time for you to trust, but they made it easy. You were surprised by the openness of her brothers. While that was a comfort in a galaxy that seemed full of danger, you actually felt safest with her grumpy brother Crosshair. Although he seemed the most closed off, you knew where you stood with him and he always kept an eye out for you.

You and Crosshair walked through some town overrun with stormtroopers. You were trying to find some power supplies for Tech and it was getting harder and harder to come by credits and supplies these days. You did your best to blend in, but your hand always twitched toward the lightsaber hidden along your waist.

"Easy," Crosshair whispered, putting a hand on your arm. "They don't suspect."

"How can you be sure?" you asked.

"I can read them," he replied. He put a hand on your shoulder and you took a deep breath. He was right. You were looking at them more than they bothered to give you a second glance. You both managed to find the parts you needed and headed back through town toward the ship. Just as you made it through the busiest part of the city, Crosshair looked up and down the road before pulling you into an alley.

"You're still nervous," he said, taking your shaking hand in his own. His still shook sometimes, but it wasn't as bad as it had been. "Come here." He put his arms around you and held you. "They won't get you."

He knew you were still scared of being found out, even though you had become good at hiding any hint that you were once a padawan in public. Crosshair gave you a little squeeze.

"It's still overwhelming," you said. "They're everywhere. I just want to live my life."

"I know," he said, waiting for you to let go when you were ready. You knew he'd protect you like any of his siblings and after some minutes you pulled away and nodded. He put an arm over your shoulder and you walked out of town together. You relaxed as you got further from civilization and to the hidden woods where the ship was waiting. Another successful supply trip.

Obi-Wan: Of course not. He’s been an emotional wreck since we found out he’s been manipulated by the former chancellor, but I’ve got him mostly back to his normal amount of suspicion.

Quinlan: His normal amount of suspicion for a fourteen year old is a lot higher than other fourteen year olds.

Obi-Wan: No?? I was suspicious at that age too?

Quinlan: You weren’t exactly a standard at that age! And??? Who did master Jinn leave you with when he was out of temple?

Obi-Wan: Master Windu, of course. He thought I was cursed and didn’t like me talking past sundown because he said I talked like a haunted Naboolian street urchin at night, but he gave warm hugs. I can’t give Anakin to him, Mace hisses every time Anakin gets too close!

Quinlan: So you want to give him to /me/?

Obi-Wan: Yeah, because one: you aren’t actually afraid of him, or anyone else, or life, or the force, so, I think you can handle his glares and pouts, and two: Aayla will calm him down. He doesn’t have many other friends. Invite Lum over and keep my brother safe, please.

Quinlan: *chest puffing up pridefully at Obi-Wan saying Quinlan can handle his brother* Okay, but you owe me.

Obi-Wan: I really don’t. We weren’t even close to even before this.

Quinlan: Yeah, probably not.
