Agent Kallus wants what Yrica Quell has: An Imperial defector arc that is actually well-written, believable and well-developed.

I just imagine Thrawn’s internal response to news of the Death Star blowing up went something like this:
HA! I told you idiots it was a waste of credits and look who was right.
Wait..... oh shit, I was right. This is bad.

Echo having one of those astromech jack thingies for an arm proves that Star Wars needs at least one "character that solves every single problem by sticking his **** into things" and without R2-D2 the entire franchise would have ground to a halt.
Honestly if the Separatists or the Empire had decided to just, like, change the shape of their access ports, they absolutely would have won both wars.

so I was just thinking about my favourite kanera moment from each season and I realised that my pick for each centered around a line from hera, and then I realised that each one told the story of how their relationship developed, and now I’m just drowning in feelings.
s1: “there’s a lot you don’t know about my ship”. light-hearted, flirtatious, a lil bit of mystery. kanan’s expressions are fantastic, and it’s mostly awe.
s2: “you didn’t know, did you?” things are getting serious - now there are two more inquisitors - but they’re there for each other, their relationship being a constant that keeps each of them stable.
s3: “now come home, love”. despite everything they’re going through, they’re still fighting the empire, still making it through. and at the end of every day, they have each other to come home to.
s4: “you could always see me”. do I even need to explain? these two have known each other’s truest selves for years and have no doubts about how deep the other’s feelings go. and they will continue to love each other because they both survive the war and live happily ever after the end

Here it is, my extremely indulgent Kanera smut.
Kanan's been on the Ghost for three months now when he realizes that Hera has yet to go through a single heat.
Please heed the tags.
Soooo basically I was talking with a friend about ABO dynamics in a pseudo academic fashion a while back, and it was noted how some use it to fetishize lgbt people, particularly mlm. That's why we very rarely see straight ABO fics.
So I decided to write a straight ABO fic (of course I hc Hera and Kanan as bi/pan, but you get the idea).

Take this half assed edit of Dev Patel as a fancast of adult!Ezra Bridger.
(I literally cannot do photoshop please excuse the wacky-ness)
I still don’t know if Ezra’s eyes are supposed to be purple or blue

Thinking again about how wonderful it is that Ezra and Sabine never became romantically involved and how Ezra's initial infatuation didn't "win over" this cooler older more capable girl but instead he stopped and their relationship grew into a friendship/siblingship SO full of trust. Also thinking about how on the flipside Kanan and Hera have a steady and healthy relationship where they're each other's support, how there's no tension built around the whole "jedi cant have romances" thing but instead the "we're in a war and we need to put other people first" mentality. Thinking about how Kanan asked Ezra to lead Hera's rescue mission and admitted out loud it was because his feelings for her could make him mess up, and how self-aware that is. It's just SO refreshing, to see the levels of communication, and committment, and respect they all have for each other on screen. It all feels so natural and good.

Ok so I’m 90% sure that Wolffe executed Order 66 and then had his inhibitor chip removed. I think we might also get to see this in Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021-).
Tumblr media
In Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018), when Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor are introduced to the Ghost Crew and Kanan ignites his lightsaber after realizing they were clones, Wolffe immediately shot at him and said “Jedi! They’ve come for revenge.”
It’s reasonable for him to assume that Kanan wanted revenge for Order 66, but he still didn’t stand down when Rex told him to. Rex had to calm him down by reminding him that “they weren’t the ones that betrayed [them].” In this connotation, it makes it sound like Wolffe believes that the Jedi betrayed the clones, probably the treason charge which justified Order 66.
When Ezra asks Rex for the locations of possible Rebel bases they could use that were abandoned after the Clone War, Rex and Gregor seem on board but Wolffe is against it.
Later, he reports the Ghost Crew to the Empire because he thought they were going to get them in trouble, still thinking the Jedi and Rebels were traitors.
When Rex was talking to Kanan, he said “I never betrayed my Jedi. Wolffe, Gregor, and I all removed our control chips.” Rex never betrayed Anakin, and Ahsoka was no longer a Jedi or a commander in the GAR during Order 66, but Rex never said anything about Wolffe betraying Plo Koon. Sure, Plo was shot down by Oddball and Jag, but Wolffe might have still been involved.
We know Wolffe had his chip removed, but I think it was removed after Order 66 and he still suffers trauma from it. Plo was one of the compassionate Jedi when it came to their clone battalions, and I’m sure the thought that Plo betrayed him would have been heartbreaking after everything they’d been through.

Boba's Slave I and Rebel's Ghost ships as dragons! Of course can't forget little Phantom. : D
Gave the Slave I a bit of a vulture-esque stance, and tried to incorporate some Loth-wolf vibes to the Ghost one as well.

“There’s a lot of Imp defects. You’ll fit right in.”
I literally just finished this but I can just imagine these two meeting! Bodhi’s a pretty shy guy but Ezra can easily do all the talking. Maybe he connects Bodhi with Kallus! That’s a nice thought haha. Unfortunately, canon says neither of these two will ever meet and that makes me sad ngl

Also, Saw was first seen in animation rather than live screen. In the clone wars arc when we see him with his sister, he's similar in color to the Saw we see in Bad Batch. The clone wars episodes he was in was before his live action role played by Forest Whitaker, so rather than whitewashing, they are sticking to what the character looked like originally even though a darker actor was cast for Rogue one
so what you're saying is that, I was so caught up in the euphoria of Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera that for a minute I lived in a world where TCW Saw Gerrera didn't exist
I guess that makes some sense, but even so, I feel that they really should not have backtracked/retconned the design to "fit" with the Clone Wars/Bad Batch art style, when several other pieces of Star Wars media have been basing Saw's look off of the live action appearance for years now. (Rebels and Fallen Order, for example)

Comparing them all side-by-side, Saw's redesign for The Bad Batch does feel erasing in this regard. Quite frankly that is not even the same man!

this is a very unrefined and ill thought-out idea at the moment but star wars should really lean more into the grand fantasy mythology aspect. it has so much potential to get weird and mysterious and claim a sense of inexplicable wonder and awe. and they are so perfectly poised to create characters that are interesting and human but also can achieve mythological status and roles, and the contrast between myth, legend, and reality would be so delicious.
and sometimes star wars does achieve that tone in its storytelling, but idk i feel that’s something that’s particularly been lacking a little for me lately
