The Thunder Callers by the sea, the matriarchs of the Hyledh clan

They could pull the tides flat, calm storms and pull thunder from a clear sky, and they were all women

But not everyone had the spark, not the young heirs Beol—who they called boy nor Jana—who they called girl.

Beol was born to the youngest matriarch, and Jana found by her wife in the height of a summer storm. They were inseparable as they grew up.

Beol would be coaxed from studying by Jana and they would go on adventures in the first nearby

And despite neither having the Gift, they were both loved in the clan house and the town.

When they hit adolescence, the sorrow of having no magic began to weigh on them both. The two turned from studies and tree climbing to swordcraft, finding in each other a sparring partner to improve with.

When they came of age and their skin flushed darker red and their horns were sharp, they left for the city together. Beol to study sorcery at the Obsidian Tower, and Jana to find a merchant company to venture into the wastes and fight the creatures that lurked there.

On the way there, though, the roads were impassable and in the stormy weather of night they tumbled both down an embankment and the caravan left them for lost in the wilds.

Their swords were sharp, and their voices raised together as the beasts that dwelled in the forest came.

They don't talk about what happened in the wilds, much. it was weeks before they found their way to the city, half starved but triumphant.

Their swords had dulled by then, but their hearts were ablaze with determination and they set out to find their destinies, separately now.

Two years later, Beol—who was a woman, and Jana—who was a man, returned to the clan in that small village by the wild sea.

Beol had learned much in the Tower, dark and powerful arts. Jana had learned the ways of the sword, unrivalled in any duel.

And they were happy there, sister and brother by the sea. Still inseparable, and neither had the touch that called down thunder from a clear sky.

Jana brought home a husband, an archer he met while hunting, and Beol brought her books to teach the town how to light the dark.

And one day, the matriarchs watched a storm brewing far away, the wrath of an angry and aging god. And they worried about the ocean opening up and swallowing the town whole.

And Beol and Jana were down by the sea as the town evacuated. The sea was still, and pulled back.

As the seabed lay there, bare and exposed to the air, Beol and Jana held hands and they thought about their voices—together to fight the beasts of the forest.

And now their voices were in unison as they pulled the air around them, like a cloak.

The lightning strikes, which had been far away, now circled them in time with their breathing and they called the thunder to them. The clouds and heavens pulling through two souls.

And as they looked out to the sea, eyes full of sky, and they pulled the storm around them.

And Hyledh clan no longer only has matriarchs, not since that day when a boy and a girl knew their shared childhood dream of calling down the thunder and pacifying the ocean.

1. Mammon states that he sleeps in the nude

2. Mammon despises witches and was nearly chopped into pieces by them once but Lucifer rescued him (although Lucifer was also the one to recommend they cut him into pieces)

David Arnold’s ‘end of the world’ complex and multi-genre soundtrack.

From the Award-winning composer of Sherlock and Casino Royale comes a follow up to the hugely successful, Emmy nominated Good Omens soundtrack.

Good Omens series 2 premiered on Prime Video on 28th July. The series follows the odd couple, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) in their quest to sabotage the end of the World. The six-episode sequel to the popular adaptation of the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, concerns the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) arriving without his memories to Aziraphale’s bookshop. Aziraphale and Crowley attempt to find out what happened to Gabriel, whilst hiding him from Heaven and Hell, both eager to find him.

The Soundtrack

David Arnold’s soundtrack to Good Omens was first released in 2019 to favourable reviews, with BBC Music Magazine calling it “a rollicking trip to hell and back”. Blueprint Magazine described it as “a great listen” and Sci Fi Bulletin commented on “plenty of memorable themes” to conclude that “This is another work of art from Arnold”. At times nostalgic and eerie but always varied, beautiful and full of excitement, the Good Omens 2 soundtrack showcases Arnold’s every skill from his composer arsenal. Featured here are orchestral arrangements with sprinkling of Sugar Plum Fairy pizzicato and percussion, jaunty strings and mighty choral sweeps from Crouch End Festival Chorus. Added to the mix are rock guitar riffs, and psychedelic 70s sounds and all together they create a haunting otherworldly feel, complementing the fantasy and the quirky humour of the show. Artist - I adopted this wonderful fakemon from xeeble! So I decided to make up a full list of game data, moves, lore, etc. for it. Enjoy! :D

Scarlet: Gelatopod leaves behind a sticky trail when it moves. A rich, creamy ice cream can be made from the collected slime.

Violet: At night, it uses the spike on its shell to dig into the ground, anchoring itself into place. Then it withdraws into its shell to sleep in safety.

I'm not a competitive player, but I did my best to balance this fakemon fairly and not make it too broken. Feel free to give feedback if you have any thoughts!

I have a huge bias for Bug Pokemon since they're my favorite type, and at first I wanted to make it Bug/Ice, since any intervebrate could be tossed into the 'Bug' typing. But ultimately I decided to keep xeeble's original idea of Ice/Fairy. There's precedent of food-themed pokemon being Fairy type, and Ice/Fairy would be very interesting due to its rarity (only Alolan Ninetails has it). Its type weaknesses are also slightly easier to handle than Bug/Ice imo

The signature move is indeed based on real love darts, I could not resist something that fascinating being made into a Pokemon move, even if the real games may possibly shy away from the idea. (Honestly it could be argued "Love Dart" is based on Cupid's arrow so Gamefreak might actually get away with making a move like this though.) Its effectiveness on both males and females is a nod to snails/slugs being biological hermaphrodites. I can see this move also being learned by Gastrodon and Magcargo in Scarlet/Violet
