Hello, bit of a weird question but I just started another good omens rewatch and I can’t get it out of me head. When Adam and Eve are shown leaving the garden, eve is visibly pregnant, God then says that there has been 7 days so far. My question is how does Eve have the appearance of someone who is 5-6 months pregnant after a maximum of 7 days of pregnancy???
Also Thankyou so much for all of your incredible work, I am reading Neverwhere right now and got American Gods for my birthday :)
Watch again. God says there have been "rather more than seven days".

how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)
there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~
I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first
url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order
url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes
url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc
url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant)
the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog!
caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks.
Tumblr media
if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else
if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)

Announcing the theme for Terry Pratchett Day 2024: START IN THE WRONG PLACE.
You'll hear people say time and time again that you can start anywhere with Terry Pratchett's work, but don't start in the right place*, so let's truly embrace the joy and chaos to be found in the many routes through Discworld and beyond.
We will be making Sunday 28th April, Sir Terry Pratchett's birthday, one brimming with bookish delight, celebrating the many ways we love and travel through his work, and we're inviting you to join us.
Follow along with The Terry Pratchett Estate to stay up to date. We will be sharing more ahead of the weekend on how to get involved.
*A lot of people say the right place is anything but the right place, which in turn, may make it an equally wrong place...

Hi Sir, I wanted to reply to you following your yesterday’s answer (my “special spoilers” ask), as it seems that many people misunderstood me. My point was absolutely NOT to get actual S3 spoilers (that would be the last thing I would do on Tumblr, I mean this), neither to ask for stopping your absurd special answers. I love them. Like many other people here. I was just diving into the #special spoilers’ section on a Sunday’s afternoon, and had a lot of fun reading them, imagining connecting the dots, and then saluting this silliness in my ask. That was just me being silly – “second-degree” as we would say in French – but I hope my intentions were not taken literally, “first-degree”, or wrongly. I’m sorry if my message sounded rude, because it was clearly not my intention.
All good. My reply was less for you than the people who show up in the notes convinced either that:
Special Spoilers are me giving plot away.
Special Spoilers are a coded version of information that will become vital in Season 3.
Special Spoilers is anything other than me amusing myself instead of typing Wait and See....
Do not worry.
I'll keep doing Special Spoilers until the wind changes...

Hi Mr Gaiman!
What’s your opinion on people saying someone is only a real fan of something if they consumed all of the available media of that thing? (e.g. “you aren’t a real fan of sandman if you only watched the netflix series”)
I feel like more and more people do this to sort of gate keep otherwise amazing fandoms and personally i think it’s quite sad to see.
As I posted on a more or less dead site a couple of years ago:

Sir, your “special spoilers” are very confusing. First of all, Crowley and Aziraphale’s deaths are lacking coherence: are they eaten by space-time goats, or dying because of holes and/or pies? Is Crowley transformed as a deer before the pie incident? Plus, you said it’s happening in the very first five minutes, but they also have their wedding day (before dying I suppose) and Crowley & Sadie ends up divorcing! You finally end up saying that Aziraphale won’t even be part of S3… but he’s supposed to be The Snaffler villain! And what about Sadie and Dottie? Are they investigating their (ex)husbands’ deaths, going on holiday… or starting a throuple with Furfur? Plus, you’re writing about badgers, nightingales, rabbits, chinchillas… I’m not sure who the characters or cast are, what the plot is… Could you enlighten me on all this? All this incoherence is quite disturbing, but you said that David Tennant is excited to find out the new scripts, so I suppose all you said here is for blurring lines, right? :0
Anything I reply about Season 3 is me typing something to try and remind people that I'm not going to answer questions about the future. I suppose I could always go back to just typing "wait and see".

Hello Mr Neil Gaiman sir,
I was just wondering, because I’ve put all of Good Omens into chronological order, whether Crowley actually slept through the 19th Century or if he just liked to think he did. Because in the 1800’s he both assisted a few grave robberies and asked Aziraphale for holy water.
Or are the series and book only canon within themselves?
Thank you for you time :)
When they contradict each other they are canon to themselves.

Hi Neil, I'm wondering if there is a tiny chance that we will have one episode per week with Good Omens 3?
More time for imagination, more time to think, to dig, to eat our nails waiting for next episode, to explore unexplored lands, to love our heroes, to root for them, to hope for some words to be said and some actions to be made... You know... The kind of stuff we all long for in a love story at the edge of the Judgment Day
Anyway thanks for this world you and Terry created. It gives me a lot of Joy and a lot of Wonder
It's not my decision, that's up to Prime Video. (It was how I'd asked for Season 2 to be released, either weekly or daily.)

What I could read: :)
WHO WERE THE RESSURECTIONISTS?
MUNGO DALRYMPLE (1790-1829)
Perhaps one of the most notorious names asociated with The Ressurectionists was Mungo Dalrymple (1790-1829), an Edimburgh doctor who hanged himself in disgrace when it became public knowledge that he was buying cadavers from body snatchers, for his medical students to dissect.
Born in Carsphairn, Dalrymple had a meteoric rise to fame in the Scottish medical establisment when he became one of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's youngest ever members at the age of 22. Dalrymple was passionate about the study of anatomy, giving many well received papers on the subject.
He was prine however to making enemies and earned a reputation for mercilessly skewering pomposity wherever he found it. This did not endear him to the senior doctors and surgeons of the Edinburgh medical establishment and Darlymple ruffed many feathers and as aresult had few allies when the bodysnatching scandal eventual broke.
FUN FACT Up until the 19th century, barbers carried out many surgical procedures in their shops!
...
Darlymple's downfall came when one of his suppliers, commonly known as 'Ressurection men', was suspected of murdering several of his lodgers in order to supply the doctor with a steady stream of cadavers. Eagle eyed landladies, Mrs Cat Clarke and Mrs Caro Clarke bravely confronted the murdere when he was attempting to conceal the body of his last victim in a barrel of pickled herring, and raised the hue and cry.

hello, i had a thought that might be a fun question for good omens fans: who is your favourite side-character? i ask because there are so many especially in the book, and some are really quite delightful, even though many you barely even see. (my favourite is Jamie, the cleaner at a shopping centre who breaks the glass ceiling panels so a tree can grow through)
Hiya! :) Oh dear, that might change depending on where the book or show and whether s1 or s1... :D
Mmm, maybe :): I remember I liked Adam and Pepper in the book, Warlock and Wensleydale and Dagon in S1 and Furfur and Jemimah in S2 :)

Hiya! :) Yeah I think so :), there is this:

Hi there, first time caller. I've seen a lot of theories around season three showing the "fall of Crowley". Can you confirm or deny?
Aziraphale is the one who falls down the hole. Crowley is killed in a tragic (yet comical) pie-baking accident.

Hello Mr Gaiman
I was wondering, seeing where the last 15 minutes of S2E6 left us, on a scale of -1 to -∞, how much romance can we expect to see between Aziraphale and Crowley in S3?
I'm afraid Crowley and Aziraphale won't be in Season 3 of Good Omens. But you'll love their wives, Dottie and Sadie, two intrepid detectives, who will investigate their deaths in respectively a pie accident and falling down a deep hole.
