From the DVD commentary, episode 1:
Douglas Mackinnon: What have you got against The Sound of Music, by the way?
Neil Gaiman: When I was about five I was taken to see The Sound of Music six or seven different times by well-meaning family members and that kind of thing just scars you.
Douglas Mackinnon: Ah, did they not like you?
Neil Gaiman: Ah, by the end of it I was ready to climb every mountain to escape.

Hi your last tiny omens titled the rain, the umbrella is in ace colours. Is that intentional or...... ?
Hiya, yes :). I am ace, as are my tiny cuties :).

A brilliant deleted scene from the DVD where Crowley speaks to his rat minions (all surfaces are supposed to be covered with rats) and tells them to stay cool. :)

as a brazilian I'd like to apologize because apparently a bunch of the stuff being said about s2 came from here so uh... sorry LOL
Hiya :). Oh you mean the rumours? :) Interesting source :)), but still if you didn't make them you have nothing to apologize for ❤ :). Sending love to Brazil! :)

I’ve got a lot of messages about S2 in my inbox, but Neil said no to the latest rumours so I guess that’s that :( :). But it was fun to be in excitement for that one evening :).

The only way I can see a sequel is if they explore Crowley and Aziraphales time o Earth.
Oh I would love to see all of the other characters as well :), I want to know how Warlock is doing, the new the Them shennanigans, if Hell and Heaven changed in something or not, how is Anathema doing without the prophecies and with Newt, if our favourite satanic nun is doing something new, and update on all the others as well :).

Neil "I'll write a Coraline 2 if I think of a story better than Coraline" Gaiman isn't gonna sell out, y'all. And especially not of Good Omens, he wouldn't do that to Terry Pratchett's memory. If we're getting a season 2 it's because there's more story told and the show is a good medium to tell it through. I'm extremely excited
❤ :) Yes.

I opened this and then had this as a background sound only as I was on tumblr, listening to the familiar phrases. Quess where they halted my brain? Yes, 5:45 :) . Which remindes me we still didn’t get the ost volume two :/ :)

To the anon, I never said it is wrong to be excited. I think, none of us said this. We are merely stating small concerns, we have. But I think, most of us too trust Neil, David and Michael to do something great. I think, it is the problem that a lot of sequels tend to be not as powerful as the original, that leads to this slight caution. I for one am like Don't yet get hyped over a mere rumour. Obviously, if it gets announced, then hell yes, get excited! That's my motto.
Yeah, concerns are valid :), as is not getting excited over just rumours, though...
*tries not to get excited over this rumour*
(I'm probably getting more excited with each ask I answer - I think I got more asks just in last hour than in the last couple of months together :D).

They might end up announcing it sooner then they planned because more people are talking about it since the articles came out
Uuuuu! :) *happy wiggle*

Some of the folks clutching their pearls at the sanctity of the single book being jeopardized are blowing it waaayyy out of proportion. Neil has said that he and Terry plotted out a sequel ages ago but simply never got to it. It's all there, with both their touches. David and Michael wouldn't sign on again if they didn't like the script. Added to the fact that Neil spent /years/ protecting Sandman from bad adaptations, same with GO. He'd never sell out for a cash grab. If it happens, no one's forcing them to watch a second season but dang! Let the rest of us vibe as we wait lol.
I understand that some people are having strong feelings about this. :)
But 1) we don't even have confirmed if it's happening, 2) if we got confirmation I think fair would be to wait before seeing it if it's good or not. :)
I'm not sure how many people remember it but Neil got a lot of shit about the first season of Good Omens. I would not like to see it happening again :( ❤.

idk why everyone feels the need to tell you, a person who is excited, that it's bad and wrong to be excited! fwiw I AM ALSO EXCITED and i have super high hopes about this considering neil wrote the cold open and bandstand and ep 6 by himself. if he wants to adapt the unwritten sequel, i trust him to do it! and if i end up not liking it...oh well! i'll have lots of fix it fics to write lol! thank you for all that you do! <3
Yes :D. This. Thank you :).
Yes, I am excited about it truly happening. I trust Neil and co. Also, my last year has been quite shitty and now if I spent another several next fangirling over something that would not turn out perfect - it would still mean that I would those years be happy and in excitement :). So yes. Give me the announcement, please :D.

Personally I think as long as Neil gaiman at the LEAST is somewhat involved in the production of a season 2,it should be fine.
Although who knows, people have an aversion to sequel sometimes.
I suppose it's the fear and worry about the unknown and want to protect what they consider great :). But yeah I trust Neil that he would not do it unless he was convinced it would be at least that great as season 1 :).

Valid point. I mean if they had an idea and Neil writes the script again, I can imagine this could go well. But yeah, until Amazon actually announces a renewal of Good Omens, I won't get my hopes up.
Yes :). I wish they would tell us. One way or the other :).

The idea of a Good Omens Season 2 is interesting, but at the same time I am also not sure, if I would want that. The story feels pretty told to me. Like where do you go from here? They pulled out the big gun with the Appocalypse. Sure, there is a hint on how it could continue, but I still feel like everything was cleared up nicely.
Neil and Terry in the 90s had idea where the story could go and I trust them :).

Idk idk a second season would still leave a bad taste in my mouth
Feels wrong, like all the spongebob spinoffs
We don't even know if it happens and if so what it will be like, so, you know, let's see and wait :). But even if there is, you don't have to watch it - you can pretend only one season exist :)
There are plenty people in these difficult times though that would like to have something to look forward to. Including me :). And I trust Neil, Michael and David that if they decided to do it, it would be great :).

I just…there’s one book. The plot of the book has been covered. Neilman said he wouldn’t continue good omens without pterry. If there was a season 2 I’d feel betrayed…
Well, there is the plot of the sequel that Neil planned with Terry but was never written. :)
