Fandom rookie here. Could you please walk me through your Zoro/Law and Zoro/Ace HCs? Love your humor btw!
Ahhh! A little fandom greenhorn! So cute!
You have asked the wrong person the wrong question, newbie.
ZoLaw:
Zoro is from the East, and while he isn't use to Winter Island Cold, he naturally runs hot. Law is from the North and while he HATES being stuck on Summer Islands on hot days, he naturally runs cool. They balance each other beautifully when they share a bed.
Up in the North Blue, it's considered weak to admit that you're cold. Weaknesses gets people killed in the North Blue, so having someone imply you need an extra blanket is a direct insult to a person's ability to keep themselves and their loved ones alive. So obviously Law would never need the extra heat.... But he MAY find himself scooting closer to Zoro-ya on the chillier nights.
The handle of a katana isn't the only thing Zoro can talk around.
...
(Cock. He can talk around a mouth full of cock. And Law LOVES it. Its the only time he can stand one of the Strawhats yapping on).
Look, Law is scientifically minded and likes to believe he is very rational (that's open to debate). He's seen Zoro-ya in the sea and knows he doesn't have a devil's fruit. But sometimes it feels like he does. SPECIFICALLY, one that somehow manages to undo every single one of Law's plans. Because the problem certainly isn't in Law! His plans are complex and perfect. But anytime he comes up for one about how to, say, ask Zoro-ya out it always somehow manages to go terribly wrong. It MUST be a devil's fruit ability.
The first time Zoro actually properly asks Torao out, he first bows to and addresses Kikoku. Since it's imperative he has the curse blades permission to touch his master (especially with all the touching Zoro has planned).
Law doesn't get jealous. That's petty and below him
Law has personally threatened at least three shichibukai and one very (also highly annoying) horny yonko. Not because he was jealous, they just need to step off and stop looking at HIS Zoro-ya that way.
If you ask the boys when they started dating, you get VASTLY different answers. Law would argue that while he'd of course taken notices of the other Supernova back on Saboady, the boy then disappeared for two years and besides Law had a lot of plans that he needed to focus on and execute perfectly. They didn't really see each other again until after Punk Hazard and of course Law was very distracted until after Doflamingo..... Then the horrors they saw on Zou, though, admitedly he may have found himself distracted by Zoro-ya once or twice even at the time.... You know, he would say it was Wano. It was Wano when he realized what an idiot the other boy was, and how he absolutely needed Law on the ground watching after him or he would do something amazingly stupid like... Like listening to Law's plan for instance! When Zoro-ya endangering his life was CLEARLY not what Law intended! Yes, that is when Law decided this boy simply couldn't be considered safe unless Law is there to watch after him..... Also, it's sometimes nice when Zoro-ya looks after him as well.... SOMETIMES.
Zoro would say "Did you see Torao cut that island in half?" And that is all he has to say on the subject of when they started dating.
Law has noticed that Zoro-ya doesn't seem to pay much attention to what he wears, just picks up what is nearest and easiest and throws it on. On an unrelated note, Law has been "accidentally" making sure to strip down right by their bed, and leaving his shirts right there. His shirts with his jolly roger.
Nico Robin had to use not just her ability but her most Teacherly voice in order to separate Luffy and Law when Zoro shows up with the Heart Jolly Roger on his shirt. Law's smirking about it (while Zoro remained utterly confused through the entire fight) didn't help.
Zoro is super weak to people playing with his ear. This goes double when it's Torao and his stupid, sexy hands. He already wants to squirm whenever he watches Torao do that stupid switch-switch thing, but once Torao starts to sit closer and, even while reading his fingers seem to find their way to Zoro's earrings..... Twirl twirl twirl, TUG. Its enough to break Zoro's brain.
Historically, Northern denizens tended to have shorter and much more dangerous lifes compared to the relatively safe and stable East Blue, leading to them having a much different view of things like romance and marriage. That's part of why tattoos are so popular among North Blue denizens. However short your inevitably short life is, a tattoo is permanent. You can't change your mind or take it back. It's a way of wearing your loyalty.
Right behind his ear, the same side as his piercings, Zoro has a small black heart tattoo. He got it on their way up to Wano.
Usopp still doesn't understand how Zoro got lost on a submarine. He didn't see him for a whole four days! What's so funny, Robin.....
I actually have a number of HCs for these two that basically boil down to "Each Island should have its own culture, and by extension, each Blue should have its own culture the way each state has its own culture but the USA also has its own general culture." This can range from things like what I mentioned above, about North Blue having historically shorter lives due to the harsher environment or being more technologically advanced. But I also had smaller things like Law kissing Zoro-ya on the nose, since up North that was how you showed affection to family or younger friends and acquaintances. I also went the entire opposite direction of "smaller" and invented an entirely Shinto derived religion that's customs and kami differed based on the Blue.
I even came up with particular weather that happen almost strictly up North (Ice Storms which are incredibly deadly at sea and Black Mist, a yet unexplained phenomena that seems to choke the life out of any one who gets caught outside) and then wrote up an entire "Old North" mythology that explains the two phenomena and why they often follow each other even though one happens strictly on land and the other typically at sea. I pretty much full on created a whole religion and mythology and wrote individual stories just so Law could have a whole culture that belonged to HIS blue. The myth in question involved a human falling for a siren, and just like actual myths I created multiple retellings and versions where the characterization changed depending on the message the storyteller was trying to express. But in most every version the Siren, Isa, had green hair (because of course the North associates green hair with fertility; oh that's another thing, I created a whole sex profession hierarchy for the North Blue with the one common feature among different types of sex workers being they typically dyed their hair green, like that was a way to physically depict that you were fertile and later that you were, you know, open to being fertilized) and regardless of how they are depicted they end up turning into the shards of an Ice Storm either because they accidentally take human captain's life, do so and then regret their hunger, or are told they have killed them and in turn kill themselves. Law was told the latter version as a child and so always felt bad for Isa, who didn't know they were eating the captain's life force but the crew could have just told him and he would have left and instead because he is "different" they think it's better if he simply destroys himself. It's a character Law can both identify with but also see aspects of Zoro in; both his physical appearance which I'm sure to Law he just pictures Zoro now, but also in his loyalty and honor which aren't as important values up North which instead values survival and strength.
As you can see if I presented an accurate list of my HCs for these two, it would be insane and make no Earthly sense. I just really enjoy world building, especially when that world building leads to two hot sword boys pining after one another.
Oh, did I mention the whole "green hair = sex worker" association and just how personally All Hearts Law takes that when applied to his Zoro-ya?
Yeah.....
ZoBurn FistRo PortZoro
ZoAce:
Upon meeting him during Alabaster, every single non Luffy Strawhat was - at least a little -totally into Ace. He just seemed so cool (and also hot.) He's like a sexy Luffy and the whole crew wanted some.
Zoro wanted it the most, bitches

It's me again, feel free to ignore this if you're only taking 1 request per person
Congrats on 2k followers ♡
I would like to request, option 1, the reader asking "can I give you a kiss? If you don't like it, you can can return it" with Zoro, Sanji and Luffy (if you can also with Law, Ace and/or Kid)
Thank you in advance, hope you have a lovely day ♡
Nonsense! If you send it in and I like it, I'll write it! This was a fun request too :) I would've done them all if I had the time <3
Characters: gn reader x Zoro, Sanji, Luffy Total word count: 740
Returned Kisses
Zoro
“Zoro!” you sang, skipping across the deck. “I have a question.”
Zoro groaned. Your questions were never as simple as you initially made them out to be.
“Can I give you a kiss?” you asked, your cheeks turning a cute rose color. “If you don’t like it, I can return it!”
Zoro scowled at you, trying to decipher your strange slew of words. “How do you return a kiss?” he asked. He set down the weights he had been using, trying not to sound too interested.
“I guess you’ll just have to see!”
His eyes scanned the ship. There was nobody else around. And he had to admit, he was curious how your lips tasted.
“Make it quick, then.” He sighed, trying to act as if he were apathetic to the whole idea, but his pinkened cheeks did not go overlooked.
Your lips pressed against his, and he could taste a distinct sugary sweetness Normally he hated sweets, but he found it quite enjoyable upon your lips.
When you finally pulled away, he quickly wetted his own lips with his tongue, desperate to get another taste.
“I think I’ll return it,” he said, looking at you.
“Oh.” Your shoulders slumped in defeat. “Not very good then, was-?”
He pushed his lips back against yours with a sort of desperation and hunger that you weren’t expecting, and your mouth fell open in surprise against his. He quickly pushed his tongue past your lips, hungry  for more of your sweetness.
When he finally pulled away, he shot you a cocky smirk. “Maybe you should try again later. I might not return it next time.”
Sanji
“Sanji!” You opened the swinging door to the kitchen, searching for him.
“Do you need something, my love?” he asked. “Whatever you want, I will gladly give you.”
“Great!” you smiled. “I was thinking I could give you something, though.”
“Me?” He looked around the room, trying to figure out what you meant.
“Yeah! I was thinking I could give you a kiss,” you offered. “If you didn’t like it-Sanji!”
The poor cook had collapsed to the ground, sent into shock by your offer. He seemed to be mumbling and babbling words, but you couldn’t make them out.
You knelt down next to him, pulling his head into your lap to make sure he was okay.
“Oh, Y/N love,” he whispered, finally coming back to his senses. “I had this strange dream where you offered to kiss me.”
You laughed. “I did offer to kiss you.”
His eyes were suddenly clear now, and very focused on your lips. So you bent down and pressed them against his own. You could hear his breathing become shallow, but you steeled your nerves and stayed there for a moment before you pulled away.
“If you don’t like it, you can return it,” you whispered.
Sanji’s eyes were practically hearts as he stared up at you. “Can I still return it even if I did like it?”
You giggled, crinkling your nose as you laughed. “I suppose so.”
“Good!” He reached up and pulled you back down to him, keeping his lips pressed into yours until Luffy ran into the kitchen looking for more food.
Luffy
“Luffy! Come here!” you called up to the captain. He was in his seat on the figurehead, like always.
“You come here!” he yelled back. Rubber arms extended towards you and whipped you up next to him. “What’s up?”
“Can I give you a kiss?” you asked. “You can return it if-”
His lips smashed against yours, and you could feel his mouth stretching into a smile. You couldn’t help but smile too, your head foggy with giddiness at his willingness to say yes.
He finally pulled away from you, his laugh filling the air around you. “That was nice.”
“I was supposed to give you a kiss, Luffy!” You were trying to scold him, but you couldnt wipe that stupid smile off your face.
“Do you want to give me one?” he asked, his eyes lighting up. “You can give me another one!”
You leaned back into another kiss, his arms already wrapped around your neck. He was trying not to be too eager, but once your fingers tangled into his raven locks, he abandoned all common sense and worked to devour as much of you as he could get.

OP Men Dating a "Girly Girl"
A/N: sorry this took so long and I haven't posted anything original in a minute my life is mess and I'm so very tired jfc...I know this isn't more than my usual group but I was just gonna stop at Luffy and then decided to add Ace and Sabo as a thank you because writing these and putting them on Tumblr has been really good for me, so thank you for always being here to indulge me 🥲 ❤️
Sanji, Zoro, Law, Luffy, Ace, Sabo
Sanji
Tumblr media
Let's be honest, girly-girls drive Sanji craaaazzzzyy (not that all women don't, but he's definitely more partial to the feminine ones) Your make-up, pretty skirts and dresses, jewelry, and manicure, he can't help fawn over you constantly 😍Although you do it because you enjoy it, it's nice that your efforts are so appreciated!!
He spoils you soooo baaaddd!! He literally can't help himself when he sees something pretty or cute that reminds him of you, he has to get it for you. You're drowning in squishmallows at this point.
A river of blood shoots from him every time you show off a new outfit. You're going to kill him and he'll thank you for it.
Dressing up in nice outfits together, especially on date night, is a shared activity that you love to do together. Y'all are living your best happily ever after lives.
Ya'll definitely have scheduled self-care nights. You put on some slow music, open a bottle of wine, draw a bubble bath, all that.
He's utterly useless when it comes to helping you pick your outfits or makeup if you're stuck because he loves you in everything, it's too hard for him to pick. You're his perfect, beautiful Y/N-swaaaaan 😍💖💖✨
He does love to see you in pink or red though so he might default to those colors
Don't try to test your makeup on him lol, you're going to re-awaken the gender identity crisis...I mean Kamabakka trauma
Listen...I'm not saying Sanji has a mommy kink...I'm not even at Whole Cake Island so idk wtf is going on there. All I'm saying is if you give this man a bath, wrap him in a towel to dry him off, and rub him down with luxurious lotions and oils, you might awaken something...that's all...👀
ZORO
Tumblr media
He has no clue wtf you're doing. If it weren't for the fact that there's no proof that witches exist in this world, he'd think you are one
He looks at your vanity full of serums, creams, scrubs, lotions, etc, not to mention the makeup and he's like "??????" Just completely baffled
But what do you expect? This man would use that five-in-one Irish Spring soap if he could.
Just because he doesn't understand it doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate and admire the fact that you have extensive knowledge in something he can't even comprehend
He knows you like nice shiny things, and again, while he doesn't get it, he does think it's really, really cute when you go starry-eyed over a necklace or an outfit in a store.
In the same vein, he knows how much you love cute things and animals. He has absolutely found a cute animal in the jungle, picked it up, and brought it to you just to show you because he knew you'd love it.
Sometimes in his own gruff way he'll agree with you that it's pretty cute. Thank you for helping this manly man admit things are cute and that's okay.
Other times, he's the one making sure you don't get distracted because it's so cute
Unfortunately and fortunately, you're pretty to him no matter what you do to yourself so it's all kind of a moot point to him.
You can try to ask him about which 'x' to wear, sometimes it's helpful because he'll throw out a really practical answer and then other times he's like "How 'bout you just go naked" 😏.
He'll wear a face mask with you like...twice a year. And he's going to bitch and moan about it but he does it because he loves you. The entire process is like trying to give a cat a bath "WHY IS IT SO COLD? THIS STAYS ON MY FACE FOR HOW LONG???"
Exfoliate this man at your own risk...I'm dead serious that water is going to be brown
LAW
Tumblr media
I need you to know right now this man will let you paint his nails!!! I mean, not like gel or acrylics or anything, but he'll let you paint them any color as long as it's a dark shade of that color. You once designed Bepo on his middle fingers. He did in fact flip people off a lot more often when he had them.
Let's you wear a pastel boiler suit because you he loves you and wants to see you happy
Much like Zoro, he's got no clue what you're doing. He'll stand back and watch you while making the exact same face as the gif above.
He thinks he's being stealthy peaking around a corner to watch your morning or night routine, but you quickly catch on. Please please pleeaaassee ask him if he has any questions because he does. He's just really curious why you're doing what you're doing and what it does. It's basically skin medicine and he's really fascinated.
Knowing that you like shiny things makes his life admittedly a little easier, it's not that he doesn't think of what to gift you, he puts A LOT of thought into what he gives you, but knowing that earrings, necklaces, and bracelets always make you happy is great just in case of analysis paralysis or he forgets. Sorry.
Also you wearing the jewelry he gets you does something to him, especially a necklace he can pull on a little, mmhhm you're making this man struggle with impure thoughts.
You both love cute things, it's something y'all connect on. It's really good that you help him access that very neglected inner child of his and encourage him to coo and fawn over adorable animals with zero reservation.
He'll do skincare with you too when he's not super busy. He can admit it's kind of nice to sit in bed with a book, glass of wine, and a face mask and just bask for a minute
He acts like he hates when you rub serums across his face and use a derma roller on him but he loves it
Law doesn't really pay attention to your clothes, but when you really go all out he breaks out in a sweat and he can't keep his eyes off you.
LUFFY
Tumblr media
I'm not saying he thinks it's stupid, it just...why have an hours long care routine when you could be going on adventure with him??? 😭😭😭
He will help you pick out your makeup but don't expect it to look good. You're gonna end up with neon orange eyeshadow and green lipstick. Like literally every "My Boyfriend Does My Makeup" youtube video.
Plays around with your stuff but that's because he has no idea what all these strange contraptions are. The moment you try to explain his eyes glaze over and next thing you know he's whisking you away to go do something more fun.
He likes the shiny bright stuff (highlighter), makeup probably is the only part he even remotely engages in because it's
Explain how contour works to this man and watch him lose his fucking mind, he thinks you're a shape shifter now (honestly this applies to all of them except Law and maybe Sanji)
He never notices what you wear, Nami is gonna have smack him on the back of the head to get him to realize you put on something fancy
Luffy points out everything, it just so happens that things he points out sometime happen to be cute animals
Hides in all the stuffed animals and squishmallows in your room to surprise attack hug you
*throws mud at you* "Is this the kind of mud you like, Y/N??" He really means well though.
You know those hair masks with all natural ingredients like honey and banana? Yeah, he's gonna start sucking on your hair like spaghetti...I'm so sorry.
He'll bathe with you but that's because he wants to be close to you, it's definitely not about being pampered or relaxing.
Try to put a face mask on him or something else and it'll just become a game of tag around the Sunny. You can't catch him and he's having a great time outrunning and outwitting you.
He knows this is all important to you so even though he doesn't get it he'd never make fun of you for it and the moment someone calls you "extra," he's kicking their ass.
ACE
Tumblr media
Maybe all the glam is a little silly to him but that just makes you extra cute!
He will also absolutely let you paint his nails. Hell, he'll let you do a full beat on him just for fun and he'll wear it for the whole day because he's so unserious lol
...As long as he gets to do your makeup after...Much like Luffy you're gonna be covered in neon colors that don't even remotely match, but you guys have a great time lol
Admittedly likes to be pampered by you when he gets back from a long mission.
Please take a bubble bath with this man, it's not like the water is ever going to get cold!
I'm pretty sure you'd legitimately lead to Ace taking better care of himself. Got this man out here talking about his cuticles and shit lol
Honestly, it's really good for him because self care leads to self love and Ace needs a lot of help with that.
He tells Pops about all the stuff you do 1.) because he loves you and 2.) he hopes some of it will help Whitebeard heal a little, god bless him 😢
All of your hardwork doesn't go unnoticed, he legitimately gets kind of misty eyed when you really dress up because he's so so so lucky. He swears he doesn't deserve you.
He always brings back some kind of gift even whether it's a cute plushie or something exotic to wear from all of his long travels
I need to stress how much this means to him, everyone of these things is like a little proposal because he already knows you're it. Every little gift is leading up to a ring from this man.
He's also just genuinely impressed by the skill it takes to do your makeup so well, especially after he tries doing it on you
Much like his little brother unfortunately, he does play with all the little contraptions in your vanity, especially in the beginning because have you seen an eyelash curler? He's so confused lol
SABO
Tumblr media
Sabo and Ace truly are his brothers because he really don't get all the effort lol
Admittedly, a lot of that is because he thinks you're so hot already what's the point???
Once he gets this is just how you are he's less confused, he's probably the most normal out everyone. He lets you do your thing, although he's really curious how you managed to always look amazing while being in the fucking revolutionary army!!?? Where are you getting the time???
If someone were to intrude on y'all on a free afternoon you're both in fluffy robes with face masks on and Sabo loves to pretend to act like a bitch when he's in selfcare mode with you lol
"Are you seriously bothering us right now, ugh! I can't even right now!!" And then you both break out in laughter
He really thinks you should teach others how to contour and do makeup because it has great applications for disguises and infiltration.
And brags about your skills to everyone
Wonders how many of your makeup supplies could actively be used as a weapon *eye roll* jfc Sabo
There's a part of you that secretly worries all your boujieness will remind him of his blood relatives, but he assures you that it doesn't because you have a good heart and he never doubts that
Besides, being a little extra with him helps him associate those things he used to associate with his blood relatives with you instead so it's even better
He spoils you so bad, but with a Sabo-flair, ie. stealing from shitty people and bringing it back to you because you're oh so more deserving of nice things let's be honest
He gets jealous of the cute animals that you squeal over hehehe, please hug him when he starts pouting
He'll always wear a little pink just for you ❤️

Hello I love your writing! I had an idea of a scenario that would be the teenager (13 years old) reader ends up connecting with something and ends up having a seizure (like Kiri in Avatar 2) and all of the crew are worried it could do with the Straw Hats, Whitebeard's crew, Shanks and Law please!
—Strawhats, Whitebeard Pirates, Shanks & Law x teen!reader (platonic)
—Summary: you have a strange blackout, despite not feeling anything wrong with you, your friends care about you
—Warnings: none
Tumblr media
You swing the shopping bags so they wouldn't hit your legs again, trying to catch up with Sanji who was a few steps ahead of you. You had offered to help him with errands and here you were carrying more bags than you should have because there was no way you were going to make more than one trip to carry everything.
You felt your fingers go numb for a few seconds, your vision blurred and you fainted out of nowhere, the sound of your body hitting the ground alarmed the blonde. He let everything he was carrying fall to the ground to attend to you immediately, panicking when he saw that you only trembled and didn't react to his voice.
He carefully carried you running towards the ship, it was so loud that he woke Zoro up, though he didn't start a fight because he heard Sanji's desperate voice calling for Chopper.
"I need help over here!"
Everyone got anxious at the cook's explanation as they waited for Chopper to come out of the room where he was checking that everything was okay.
Nami and Robin had interrupted their coffee and gossip session, Luffy was pounding on the door impatiently while Jinbe was trying to push him away, Franky, Usopp and Brook diverted their slight concern with small talk.
You didn't wake up until a few hours later, pacing the deck as if nothing had happened.
"Stop right now!"
You fell backwards, Luffy's arms wrapping around your body.
"Uff- Luffy, you're crushing me."
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Nami hit him immediately making him let go, Usopp helped you up, patting you on the shoulder.
"What's happening? You look at me as if I had grown a third eye."
"You do not remeber anything? That could be troublesome! what should I do!?" the poor reindeer began to murmur "Rest! You need to rest, one day at least."
"But I don't feel sick."
"Doctor's orders, you have to comply."
Zoro gave you a little push with a sly smile, you rolled your eyes.
"You're not the best person to talk about it..."
Tumblr media
You were running after Ace because he had stolen your food, until your body felt weak and you fell to the ground. Ace laughed thinking that you had stumbled because it wasn't the first time you've stumbled while trying to catch up. However he became concerned when you didn't react, picking you up when he got close to do one of your 'surprise attacks'.
"Come on, get up, it's not funny..."
His hands began to sweat when he saw that your body began to convulse, he held you in his arms to keep you firm and not hit yourself.
"Shit, shit, shit… Marco!? Where is Marco!?"
Several of the guys that were out there started looking for the doctor, luckily he was on the ship, although Whitebeard was out since you just arrived a few hours ago.
"What happened-yoi?"
Marco started to ask what had happened while Ace answered him, the blonde doing a quick check, he didn't find anything unusual so he let you rest while he went to report to Whitebeard. In that short time Izo stayed by your side to watch if you woke up or not since Ace needed to calm down, he wouldn't help being tense.
You woke up a while later, Izo smiled at you as he offered you a glass of water.
"I don't notice any discomfort, maybe it was a heat stroke?"
You swore and swore that you didn't feel any pain or discomfort when Marco came to ask, even though your vital signs were stable, Whitebeard didn't let you leave the ship for a couple of days or at least be accompanied in case it happen again.
"I can't risk someone young not receiving proper medical treatment, your health is more important than that of an old man like me."
You nodded at your father's words, despite the fact that you respect him a lot, you were still a teenager and you will probably end up running away, you need a little privacy and nothing has happened to you again, you would be fine on your own sometimes.
Tumblr media
You went looking for Shanks because you should disembark now, but knowing him he would surely be drinking in the town bar, you actually found him there.
"I invite one more round! come on kid, you can order whatever you want, as long as it's non-alcoholic."
"I don't want anything, the ship is going to set sail without you, again..."
"Oh come on, come on, don't worry so much and enjoy the night!"
You sighed, shaking your head, there was no point, you had already tried to take him back, if he didn't want to it wasn't your problem, after all he is a Yonko and he knows how to take care of himself. You decided to get out of there, however, before you could go out the door, your body vanished from one moment to the next. Your body hit the ground at the same time as Shanks's beer mug, he ran towards you trying to make you react, his screams cut through the jovial atmosphere in just seconds, the customers being intimidated by the redhead's intense gaze.
"I need a doctor, someone get a doctor!"
The urgency in his voice, his posture, his gaze... no one could just ignore his presence and keep drinking, some people even fainted from the power in his voice, a brave little man ventured to your side, his palms sweating as he was inspecting you before Shanks's eyes.
It didn't take long for you to come to, confused by the situation, despite clarifying that you felt fine, besides the fact that the doctor didn't find anything serious at first sight, it was enough for your captain.
"We'll go immediately to find the best doctor in the whole world, don't worry."
"Maybe you're exaggerating a bit... there are a lot of people who faint from some discomfort, and I don't feel bad right now"
"No, you need to go to the doctor a couple more times to make sure it's not due to a disease."
"Okay, can I at least walk on my own?"
"No."
He held your body like you were a bag, you sighed looking up at the starry sky, hoping you wouldn't be treated like glass because of a little accident, you were in the crew of a yonko for a reason, despite being young you were strong enough.
Tumblr media
It was quite late when both of you were playing cards, Law's bad habits got mixed up with yours, even though he always scolded you because you were still too young to mess up your sleep schedule, you just ignored him.
"I won again!"
"I'm sure you're cheating."
"Of course not, who do you take me for?"
You laughed at Law's scowl, moving the cards you had hidden, he dealt again, you looked at your cards, planning your next play, though before you could put the card on the table a big puncture to your head caused you to pass out, Law put his hand between the table and your head so you wouldn't hit it.
Immediately laying you on the floor, checking your breathing and pulse instantly, clicking his tongue as he saw you have little convulsions, he put you in a better position so you wouldn't hurt yourself with your little spasms, waiting for them to subside. He used his power to check you out as quickly as possible, getting frustrated that he couldn't find anything that was causing your current situation. He decided that for now it was better to let you rest since you had stopped moving.
You woke up the next day, verifying on your own that you had no discomfort, since you did not feel any pain or discomfort, you simply got up from the patient's bed. You were very hungry so you went to have breakfast with the others. No one was alarmed because no one knew what happened to you last night so they were surprised when they saw you disappear, in your seat a pen instead of you, they shrugged their shoulders thinking that Law was going to scold you for one of your pranks.
"No one has given you permission to get out of bed, I still need to check that it's nothing serious."
"I don't feel bad, maybe it was tiredness."
"I'm not sure, that's why I need you to stay in bed and not make too much physical effort."
"But-"
"No buts, now, did you feel something strange yesterday?"
"Now that you mention it..."
You lay on the bed, answering all the questions your captain asked you, you knew you had nowhere to run when he went all 'father' and doctor, ignoring him would only make the situation worse, so you hoped it was just a little accident and not worse, but you would have Law on top of you every day to take your medicine if you had to.

Chapter 22: 3 to 1
When you and Ace arrived at the All Blue it was still busy. You were there about ten minutes before closing and while no new customers were coming in, at least half the tables were still occupied. A severe-looking man with cropped green hair had been standing guard at the front doors, but he’d let you and Ace through.
“Zoro turns away customers for Sanji when the place gets busy to this point. Business is good, but getting your staff home at a decent hour is more important, at least to Lyn and Sanji.” Ace says as the two of you work your way through the restaurant to the bar.
The bartender that Ace had pointed out the last time gives you both a smile. “Ace, are you here to help close?” She asks and he nods.
“Sabo’s sister needed to talk to Sanji about something, so we volunteered to help free up some time for him, what can we do to help?”
“Ah, if you can get the tables and booths cleaned up that are empty, that’d help. Zoro can’t help until we can lock up, and we’re going to be a bit with the last few tables tonight.” She says, and looks toward you. “I’m Lyn.” She reaches out a hand, shaking yours.
“Quill,” you say. “Sabo’s mysterious sister.”
“Ever worked in a restaurant?” Lyn prompts, and you can tell from her grin she’s expecting you to say no before you even say it.
“Ah, no.”
Her grin breaks into a full smile. “It’s okay, there’s plenty of easy stuff to do. Our dishwasher could probably use an extra set of hands, how’re your shoes?”
“My shoes?” You question looking down. “I’ve got the sneakers I wore camping earlier on.”
“That’s good, better’n being in heels. I’ll introduce you, don’t worry, Duval’s bad at winking, but if you can help him stack trays he can get the dishes washed faster.” Lyn nods for you to follow her, lifting a section of the bar and having you come back.
The kitchen is brighter than the front of the house, and there’s almost eight other people back there. One of them is a tall man who would probably tower over Ace, with blond hair and a smile that seems a bit strained. Lyn introduced the two of you and had Duval show you how to stack trays so you could help him out.
It wasn’t difficult work, but it was more physical than you were used to. Grateful for your nap earlier and the fact that you weren’t fighting against your mother’s “medicine” anymore, you managed to be more of a help than hindrance; Duval only had to fix a couple of your trays.
Once the last of the customers are gone and the place is nearly closed up and cleaned, you, Ace, Lyn, and Sanji are sitting in a back booth while the last couple of employees finish up and leave.
“Luffy said something about you needing to ask about my brothers,” Sanji says, an apologetic look on his face. “He’s never been one for details, so I don’t know why you wanted to talk about them, but if there’s anything I can do to help you, it would be my pleasure.”
You smile, and then bite your lip a little. You make a few more gestures before Ace takes your hand in his and gives you a reassuring squeeze.
“I’m… technically, betrothed to Ichiji.” You finally manage to say and watch as both Lyn and Sanji’s eyes go wide and their jaws go slack. “Aside from the obvious fact that I don’t want to marry him, I’ve also recently learned that I am, in fact, cursed.”
Lyn’s mouth closes, but Sanji’s goes almost wider, he murmurs a swear under his breath in a foreign language and you nearly snort.
“My parents don’t know yet, and I don’t know what curse I have either,” you continue. “At least not yet, but my parents are my problem, and the details of my curse aren’t something I can control. What I need to know, what I was hoping you could tell me, was that if I tell Ichiji I’m cursed, what’s he possibly going to do?”
Sanji stares blankly for a moment, and then opens and closes his mouth a couple times before closing it and furrowing his brows. He’s quiet as he takes out a cigarette and lights it, barely inhaling before billowing smoker into the ceiling.
“Ichiji won’t marry someone who’s cursed.” He says flatly, but despite his words it doesn’t look like he’s thrilled about whatever else is on his mind. “What he’ll do in reaction is hard to say. He could lose his cool the moment you tell him, or he could decide he simply doesn’t care. The real problem would be the old man.
“Judge could make the whole thing a spectacle.” Sanji continues. “I don’t think he’d get the Celestials involved, but he could ask for heavy restitution from your family.” He pauses, shock crossing his face for a second before he takes another drag. “Er, if I can ask, how’d you learn you were cursed so late in life?”
“Oh, well… um. It seems my mother has been poisoning me most of my life,” you admit quietly. “And I think my curse saved me, but I was so weak I couldn’t do anything else with it.”
“Your mother did what?” Lyn questions before putting her hands over her mouth. “I’m sorry, I just, that’s horrible.”
“Haaa… yeah, and it’s okay. I mean, it’s not okay what she did, but I mean, you don’t have to apologize.” You clarify.
“Well, if that’s the case I can’t imagine you’ll be upset if Judge goes for your family then.” He says with a shrug. “I could be there when you meet with Ichiji, if you want? I might be disowned, but I’m not disavowed, he can’t lash out at me without any repercussions.”
You shake your head. “I appreciate the offer, but I don’t think he’s been particularly invested in any of this himself. He’s had a sense about Ace and I before I did, but even that didn’t bother him. He might be relieved, honestly.”
Sanji shakes his head. “No, relief isn’t really something he can feel. But you’re right, he might just not care.”
“The only thing that leaves then, is telling my parents.” You say, letting out a long slow breath and leaning your head on Ace’s shoulder.
“When are you meeting with Ichiji?” Sanji prompts and you look at your phone.
“Six hours? We’re supposed to meet for a brunch.” You answer.
“Ask him how far he had to travel,” Sanji says. “If he’s not in town for business and has been traveling just to meet with you, pay for that brunch yourself.” He asserts. “Even if he has been in town for business, you should still probably do that.”
“Will that help keep him calm?” You question, lifting your head off Ace’s shoulder.
Sanji nods. “Be extra polite.” He shudders. “Stoke his ego if you can manage it. He and the others are real bastards about rights versus commoners. I maintained my rights even though I didn’t want them because the Government stepped in, but with a curse… tch.”
“He’ll know that the government will bury my ties to my family.” You admit. “Yeah, I was already thinking about that. Not that it’ll make any difference if reparations are demanded.”
“You’re still royalty?” Ace questions, looking at Sanji.
Sanji shakes his head. “I sold my rights to fund this place.” He says. “But even with my rights sold my blood’s still legitimate. Ichiji and the others can’t treat me like a commoner without repercussions. Honestly, it might be the only reason the restaurant’s never been targeted.”
“But, two more months and it won’t matter.”
“Huh?” You and Ace make the same sound at the same time and Lyn and Sanji both smile.
“Germa’s only in town for another two months. With all the other islands and seas, they’ll probably never end up back on this island again.” He explains. “After that it won’t matter what my brothers think, they’ll be too far away to do anything about it.”
Ace sinks back into the booth, relaxing. “You scared me, I thought you two were going to sell the place and go elope or something.”
Lyn laughs. “We promise we’re not going to sell this place any time soon.”
“Noticing a distinct lack of promising to not elope.” You say, raising your brows a little and smiling.
Both of them flush and Sanji clears his throat. “Nami-swan and Robin-chan wouldn’t forgive us.” He insists, and Lyn nods.
“We don’t have plans to elope, but if we have to.” She lets the thought hang and you nod in understanding.
“Oh, uh, are you two busy on the fifteenth?” You question, shifting the conversation. “I figure the least I can do for all your help is invite you to enjoy delicious food with us as the 1st division celebrates my birthday. Though I suppose I could volunteer to help with closing a couple more times.”
“You’re welcome to help out here whenever you want, but it’s certainly not required. We’re both happy to have been able to help.” Lyn assures you.
“I’ll be happy to bring a large order of appetizers,” Sanji says, a bright smile on his face. “It’s been a while since I cooked for them.”
Ace puts his arms up in celebration. “I’ll let Thatch know, and he can work out the details with you.” Ace hugs you, his cheek pressed to yours. “Your first birthday here and we’re all gonna be so blessed.”
You could feel your face go hot at the exuberant display of affection, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. “You sound like Luffy.” You tease.
“Oh, we’re not going to be able to tell him about this. He’ll whine constantly for the next two weeks and then he won’t sleep the night before.” Ace sighs, nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck, not releasing his hug.
“A-Ace.” You stammer, you can feel the familiar sensation from before and you’re worried you’re going to set Sanji’s booth on fire.
Ace looks up and into your eyes and smiles as he lets go. “Oops.” He looks just about ready to lean in and kiss you, and you’re torn between wanting to let him, and not wanting to do so in front of others just yet.
“Look at you, positively smitten.” Lyn says, eyes on Ace. “If I remember correctly, you were in here just a few months ago -.”
“S-saying absolutely nothing interestin’!” Ace exclaims, giving you a little space without leaping fully to the other side of the seat.
“Ah, true. True.” She agrees with a grin. “I’m sure I have you mistaken with someone else who was ready to swear off all manner of love and dating. Dramatically convinced that there wasn’t any one in this whole wide world that was going to be able to-.”
“Lyn, mercy, please.” Ace begs.
You can feel the heat rolling off him as you turn your head, giving Ace a pointed stare while Lyn hums softly in amusement. To Ace’s credit he looked caught somewhere between embarrassed and adorable. He put his arms in front of his face to shield himself from the inquiring look you were giving him, and so you moved just a little bit closer.
“Don’t ignite.” You admonish, poking his side playfully and causing him to yelp.
“You’re in my restaurant,” Sanji starts, trying to cover the pink on his own face. “And I feel like I’m the one intruding.”
“Ah, ha ha, sorry about that.” You lean away from Ace. “With, with that we should probably get going. We’ve kept you both as it is.” You admit, scooting out of the booth.
Lyn hands you a card after she gets up. “The numbers for here, and both our personal cells.” She explains.
“If things go bad with Ichiji, let us know.” Sanji clarifies. “I can’t promise I’ll be able to do much, but I don’t want anyone in that family thinking they can do whatever they want.”
“Appreciated.” You tuck the card away, hoping that things go smoothly. You’re certain that Sabo would break the law without a second thought if Ichiji did anything, and you know Ace would too. There were too many people willing to step up for you, and considering the complications of nobility in relation to the laws, you were more worried for others than yourself.

midnight calls ; various
Tumblr media Tumblr media
↻ pairing ↬ platonic!rayleigh x sabo x ace x zoro x gn!reader! (seperately)
↻ fluff, grammatical mistakes, familial relationship with rayleigh, mention of death (once), modern au and canon au
@saku-changgg asked: Helloooo! How are you? I hope you're not having a bad day (if you are I hope you feel better fast 🥺🤗🥰). This is my first time asking for a request lol and I'm kind of shy 👉👈 I just saw your other post about wanting to write about Rayleigh, Ace, and Sabo, are you still up for it? If yes, may I request for a fluff with the prompt "midnight calls". I don't really have a specific scenario in mind, for as long as it'll end up being all sweet/romantic I'm all good. And if it's not too much to ask, I hope you could also add Zoro bc I'm a Zoro simp (tho I enjoy reading fics of other characters, too). Oh and it's with a fem so/reader. Gosh I hope this isn't too much. And I'm in no rush, feel free to take all the time in the world writing it. 😁😊 Umm, that's all. Thank you so much! I enjoy reading your fics, btw. I look forward to reading more. 🥰💚💚
a/n since i dont write anything romantically for rayleigh (yet) he would be left off as a familial relationship instead and also gender neutral since i didnt mention any gender in this <3 p.s the rayleigh one might be childish but i've had that kind of nightmare before
rayleigh
hearing the soft ringing of his ringtone, rayleigh groaned, being disturbed by a call so late. but when he sees the caller, his annoyance was washed away as quickly ad it came. "h-hey, rayleigh," you spoke timidly.
he could hear the slight shakiness in it, indicating that you had either just cried or maybe had a nightmare. "sorry to call you so late... it's just that, i can't sleep,"
he hummed. "do you want to talk about it?" he asked as he lays comfortably on his back. you broke down into tears, thinking back at the night terror that was hunting you earlier in your sleep. "it's just that... i dreamt of you! and you ― you died in it!" you couldn't even finish the rest of your sentences. it was all so scary that you just didn't want to think of it.
"it's just a nightmare okay? it's not real. do you want to come over here tonight? shakky can make you something to calm down," you could hear the female hummed. "yeah, that would be nice. thank you, rayleigh," you smiled, feeling a little bit calmed.
his comfort might have been simple, but you just needed reassurance. and he get that.
sabo
the blond-haired male could hear the gentle knock to his door. it wasn't unusual for him to stay up late till midnight due to his position in the revolutionary.
but when he heard your voice calling for him from the other side of the door, he was concerned immediately. "y/n? you okay?" he quickly bombarded you with questions while ushering you inside.
"it was nothing... do you think i can sleep here? i missed you," you replied. it was true. even though he doesn't have any mission at the moment, he was making himself busy by helping dragon with the reports and some other stuff little by little.
sabo cleaned his table, putting everything neatly back to its places. "hmm... i missed you, too. sorry that i haven't been spending time with you even though i don't have a mission," the male apologize.
he pulled you towards the bed, laying the two of you under the blanket on his single bed. his blond curls fell graciously on the pillow, making him look ethereal. no― he would still look angelic no matter in what form.
he cuddled you closer to him, kissing the side your neck before pulling back, making an eye contact with you. when he smiled, it was contagious that he also got you smiling.
and before you know it, the two of you fall deep into slumber.
ace
his footsteps grew louder and finally stopped in front of your room. the knocking at the door rouse you awake. you groaned as you woke up from your slumber. "y/n? hey, it's me,"
your eyes were wide opened at the sound of the owner's voice. you scrambled out of your bed and made your way towards the door. the sight before you made your heart ache. "ace? what's wrong?"
"can i come in first?" he asked. you ushered him inside and closed the door behind you. the two of you sat on the bed with your hand holding his comfortingly. he could tell that you were concern about him due to his slight red eyes. "i was thinking about luffy and sabo..." he confessed, blushing slightly from embarrassment. "why are you embarrassed about it? nothing's wrong thinking about your loved ones," you squeezed his hand.
"i just missed them. especially sabo..."
you pulled him into a hug, resting his head onto your chest which he snuggled into. "do you want to sleep with me tonight?" you asked. he just hummed and pulled you until the two of you were laying on the bed.
"i'm sure you'll meet with luffy again soon... after all, he's almost 17 right?" you said, kissing his nose lightly. "thank you, y/n,"
zoro
the green-haired male yawned as he kept looking out the window. the knock on the floor brings him back to reality. "oh, it's just you,"
you fully climbed up the ladder and took a sit beside him. his arm was quick to went around you, hugging you sideways. "what's up? it's not like you to come up here this late," zoro said. "is it wrong of me to visit my boyfriend?" you countered. "nah... it's just weird," his lips quirked upwards into a smirk.
you mirrored his smirk before chuckling. he cup your cheeks before pulling you into a kiss. the kiss was short yet full of passion. "need to recharge," he muttered against your lips before kissing you again.
his kisses left you breathless, making you to pull away unwillingly with how addicting his lips are. when he forced you to pull away, you were chasing after his lips, hearing a deep chuckle from him. "i'm not about to let you die from my kisses,"
"doesn't sound like a bad way to die..." you smiled. his arm around you tightens, pulling you closer to his side so that you would snuggle into him. "sleep," he said ― more of a command than a reply. his eyes saying, i know without him even voicing it.
you just had a nightmare yet again. and he hadn't forced an answer out of you. he knows that when you're ready, you would tell.
"goodnight," he mutters, leaving a kiss on top of your head.
a/n finished! cant believe it 😭

Helping Insecure Girlfriend
Tumblr media
Anonymous requested: Thank you Roze! For a request I would be interested in some hc or scenarios (which ever is easier for you !) With Zoro, Law, and Ace who wants to help their insecure girlfriend. She keeps waking up from nightmares from her past abusive relationship and is convinced her current bf is going to leave her because she is too much to handle. Just some comfort and fluff please and I'm so sorry if that's a lot. Don't feel pressured to do it ! ♥️
So sorry for the lateness of this! I have been meaning to get it out for ages lol but I really do hope this brings you comfort! Thank you for your patience anon!
Ace, Law, Zoro x Female Reader
Warnings: Comfort fluff and angst- Briefly mentions of past abuse so please tread carefully. PTSD
*Just a general note but I am proud of anyone who has escaped/left an abusive relationship and I hope that you guys are in a good place. As for those who are not then please do get some help and know you are loved and deserve so much better. Anyway, stay safe and healthy!
Words: 1,450
Two things these three men would all have in common is noticing their partner’s nightmares immediately and being aware that their partner’s ex was rather abusive. It is how they deal with it that varies
Portgas D. Ace:
When he notices, this man is going to feel bad instantly
So many emotions go through him all at once- Worry, sadness, anger, fear, and of course just the overall need to protect you
He will wake you up and hold you, remind you that you are in a safe place
His worry is at large since you do not deserve to keep reliving that nightmare with your ex
However, when these nightmares become reoccurring and how you seem to be pushing him away, not wanting to burden him with the past you keep reliving
You personally feel awful about these stupid nightmares- Why do you keep getting them?
Especially, while you are in such a good and healthy relationship?!
It is just not fair
It feels like your brain is trying to self-sabotage your relationship and it is working
You do not want to keep telling Ace all about your ex and what he did to you
How you feel completely and utterly broken
How he deserves so much better than you
You do not want to keep telling him that but you also wish he realized it too
You are just damaged goods
Unlovable
This cycle goes on for not much longer because of how much Ace cares about you
He recognizes the signs of spiraling out of good mental health and he knows you need help asap
He will always reassure you too
He will make sure you know that he would never stop loving you over something you can’t control
With help from his friends and yours (they do not give up on you), they help you recognize that your ex is no longer in your life and can no longer hurt you physically, verbally, or emotionally
You have Ace and he is doing everything in his power to show you that you are loved, and he will tell you about his own self-doubts and how he thinks it is you that deserves better than him
Overall- This type of relationship and scenario- It would be rather challenging on both sides since you think he deserves better and vice versa. However, Ace would never ever, ever, dream of giving up on you. Especially when it is obvious you are suffering from a past toxic relationship and need all the help and love you can get in order to start thriving and living for yourself
As for what other things he would do to help remind you that he loves you is daily date nights
Whenever or whatever you want to do it is all for you
He is even more gentle and cuddly for you after your nightmare as he reminds you that you are safe and with him and he would never ever hurt you or leave you unless it was a mutual break-up
100000/10 best comfort and understanding man here
Trafalgar Law:
In a relationship with Law, I think he would be very big on trust so talking about each other’s past is a huge step for him but a necessary one in order for you both to be happy in the relationship because otherwise there may end up being a few white lies or the relationship will feel off the whole time
Either way, because of the way Law is- He is just huge on mutual trust
He would essentially know about your abusive ex and the terrible things they have done to you. In a way, he can relate to any emotional abuse and manipulation thanks to a certain someone in his own past
When Law realizes that you are having nightmares about your past relationship he would actually confront you about it within the first few days but only because he needs you to understand you can go to him and he more than willing to hear about them
He is also quick to see your insecurities- The small ways you doubt yourself in this relationship and it nearly kills him
Law is aware of how hard it is to change a person’s mind especially after a toxic person in your life has convinced you that you are nothing
He will be as understanding as you need and will help you through this
Though Law is the one who gets the most stressed and will neglect himself in order to make sure you will be okay as well as your relationship with him
So, it may add to your guilt, but he will reassure you that you are worth it
Ace is more likely to do affirmations with you (as in: I am worthy. I am safe. I deserve to be happy, etc) but I do think that Law is also serious about helping you mentally so he would definitely also be on board with coming up with affirmations with you
On nights that you have nightmares, or your insecurities are at a high, he will stay up with you (hold you or make you a warm drink) and it really is no problem for him, thanks to his insomnia
He is happy to bring a bit of comfort if possible
10000/10 sneaky boyfriend. He may or may not go visit your ex and it is either really creepy or a gift when your ex is suddenly a paranoid person
Roronoa Zoro:
Zoro is the one who refuses to bring up your past in general until he notices it affecting your sleep which ends up affecting your health
He is more complicated in this situation since he will not force you to talk to him, but he will be very grumpy if you do not lol
He needs you to know trust is important and he may not be the most patient, but he will try to show you he can be since he wants you to open up to him on your own terms
Zoro values privacy the most and he is aware that he is not… as sympathetic as he could be which is why Zoro is the one who does not ask or pry about your past until you are personally ready to share it with him
Now when the nightmares start Zoro notices when you get them, all the time, thanks to him being most of the time. He only gets three hours of sleep plus naps (4 am to 7 am) so he usually notices when you begin to stir and cry in your sleep
He is not stupid so he knows when it becomes frequent, that it is a problem
When it begins to affect you in your waking hours that is when he will be like “are you good?” and if you do not answer or you are vague he will give you that raised eyebrow look
Eventually, your insecurities also get too high and decide that he should know everything and it would be his decision to decide if you are too much trouble
After you come clean and he knows about your abusive ex and the terrible things he did that still affect you, it becomes clear to him
He will reassure you that he is nothing like your ex and he would rather die than hurt you
Zoro will ask you and rather seriously “do you want me to kill him?”
He will do it too if that is what you want
Anyway, now that he knows what the problem is he also takes it seriously
He notices you trying to self-sabotage your relationship with him, and he will not have it
He will battle you, with love of course, and make sure you know that he is not going anywhere. At all
He can handle helping you and he will stay as long as you need until you realize that you deserve all the healthy love you ever wanted
As for affirmations to help with your brain- I do not think he would personally do it since he naturally believes whatever he says about himself so he would probably do them for you without realizing it
For example, “You are going to get through this and realize you deserve the love I give you”
It is simply the truth for him so if he believes it so should you
Now for nightmares, he will wake you up now that he knows you are reliving your horrifying past and he will do whatever you need to do in order to put you back in a safe place mentally
40000/10 best strong rock boyfriend

Hello!!! It's me the peanut! And oh my Gosh the plush request was so cute!!!
Okay I have another request! Ummm headcanons of Ace, Law and Zoro x S/O that has a dairy? Okay the Dairy is always locked except of course if they using it. But they kept a secret from her lover. Till one day they forgot to lock the Dairy. Their lover found a Dairy in bedroom or somewhere else. And what in their Dairy is all about S/O. About the first smexy time experience, secrets, their sadness, their happiness, picture of family and many more.
So I have to stop myself of asking requests for now. (Idk how long)
Ace, Law, Zoro With A S/O Who Has A Diary - HCs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N : I’m glad you think so. I’m sorry for changing it up and adding my own little thing at the end, I just thought it was cute. 😅
Summary : With a significant other who keeps a diary, Ace, Law and Zoro come across it one day and takes a glance.
Ace
As much as Ace is respectful and very much like a gentleman, I think his curiosity would get the best of him when he finds it.
As much as Ace is respectful and very much like a gentleman, I think his curiosity would get the best of him when he finds it.
He wouldn’t actually know what it was at first until he opens it.
He wouldn’t actually know what it was at first until he opens it.
It would be when he goes to find you and cuddle in the room, that he sees an opened book with a pencil inside to hold it open.
On the cover would just be your initials, so he’d grab it and wonder if you were writing a book.
Seeing that you were nowhere to be seen, he’d just opened the book and find your entries on your daily life with the Whitebeard pirates.
He’d be taken back but pretty intrigued, wanting to know your thoughts and feelings on your experience and time with Whitebeard and the crew, wondering if you were enjoying your time here.
He’d smile warmly at the sight of your cute handwriting, the words expressing how much you enjoyed the crew and what you loved about your stay there.
When he gets to your experience on your first time with Ace, he’d grin a bit with pride at seeing how amazing he was, his cheeks tinted pink because it was pretty embarrassing too, but the pride overpowered it.
He’d get closer to the middle, skimming pages and get to your sad times with the crew.
It’s express how worried you are for some of the crew members, and even expressed that you feel a bit out of place, which would break his heart because he never wants you to feel like you don’t belong.
When he finally gets closer to the end, he’ll find a picture with you smiling brightly with the Whitebeard Family, and then a separate picture of just the two of you, smiling and enjoying yourselves.
Ace smiles warmly at the sight, closing it up softly, with the pencil inside, and leaves it back where it was.
When you would return, he’ll smother you in kisses and tell you how important you are to the crew and how much he loves you, before pulling you down to the bed to prove it himself another way.
Next day, he’ll apologize for reading your diary, whether you knew about it or not.
-
Law
When Law finds it, he’s most likely will brush it off, but if he didn’t know what it was, he might’ve thought it was a new book he had recently bought and look through it.
It was closed, just lying flat on the his desk beside his stacks of paperwork, the only thing written on it was your last name.
Obviously knowing it was yours, he’d leave it alone while he does his work. However, every time he reaches for a new sheet, his eyes would glance over the book once more and he’ll sigh in annoyance.
He’ll finally grab it, deciding just to accuse you for leaving it on his desk in the first place if you didn’t want anyone to read it.
He’ll open it up and be met with you perfectly neat and beautiful handwriting, which he’ll admire.
Being a doctor, he doesn’t have too great of a handwriting—
He’ll read your entries silently, taking in every word of your sweet memories with the Heart Pirates and how much you adored Bepo, Shachi and Penguin.
He’ll go through the next couple pages because your diary was piquing his interest, and he’ll come across your writings on your experience with Law for your first time.
He’ll smirk a bit to himself in amusement, taking mental note of ‘just how amazing’ he was, quoting you.
He’ll move on and find your sadder entries, where you talk about how isolated you feel sometimes. The crew’s busy often, it was understandable. But feeling neglected and just having to entertain yourself since your lover was busy as captain and ship doctor was eventually going to be pretty lonely and tiresome.
His smirk would fade as his lips would curve into a slight frown at the sight, not saying a word as he moves on from there.
Near the end would be a picture of you, law, Bepo, Shachi and Penguin all smiling and laughing on a grassy field, mostly with Law relaxing in silence as the four of you played.
Law would smile slightly in amusement at the photo, unknown to when you took the picture or how, but he liked it. It was a nice memory.
He’ll find a picture of you posing next to a sleeping law and despite his brow twitching a bit at the sight, his heart would feel a bit warm from it, also like that picture.
Deciding it was enough, he’ll close the book and leave it back on the desk as he resumed his paperwork.
When you come back to retrieve it, Law would glance at you before turning back to his work and continuing it. You wouldn’t say anything, already used to him being so busy and smile slightly at him.
But then, a few minutes later, you would see Law standing up and giving you a back hug, his chin on top of your head as he stayed silent, but the action alone made your heart melt as you lean into his touch also silently, just taking this time to appreciate the feeling.
Law would remember to make note to sleep in bed with you a little earlier to enjoy some time together, and pay more attention to your feelings so you never have to feel neglected again.

Zoro
Zoro will probably notice that you keep writing in the book, so he’d be the most curious one on what you could be writing.
At first, he wouldn’t really give a damn, but seeing how secretive you were about it, it’s almost as if he had to look at it.
The only written on the cover was your first name, nothing else. The book would be placed on your bedside drawer, next to your lamp.
Seeing that you were currently talking with Brook and Chopper, Zoro would just take a quick glance. Not that it hurt anyone Anyways.
He wouldn’t be expected to see how the little entries you’ve written were about your personal life and time with the crew.
Much less to read about your first time with Zoro and your thoughts on his experience.
His cheeks would flush red as he read through, quickly turning to the next page, however he did note all the special parts you written about how good he was and kept it in mind-
The next page would be about all your rough times with the crew. There are times where you do feel like a burden, because you aren’t as strong as the others, or as brave as them.
It would hurt Zoro that you would even think that, him making a mental note to talk to you about it eventually, but kept quiet for now. If he ever noticed you seeming upset about it, he wouldn’t hesitate to knock some sense into you.
When he skips ahead to the end, he’d see your pages kept for special treasured memories, like when you first joined the crew, or started dating Zoro.
He’d see a picture of you with the crew, and then one of you and your family you had before you joined Luffy.
He’d stare at it in silence, taking in how you looked back then and smile slightly, deciding he had enough and closed it back up.
Once he sets it down, his heart would be so filled with warmth, he wouldn’t go back to training and just come and find you, pulling you to your bedroom so you two can cuddle.
He’ll hold you in his arms tightly and after pressing a quick peck to your temple, he’d tell you he loves you, before going to sleep.

Hello softiebadbitch :) ! love this name.
I wasn't really sure how to add 4 readers into one story but I think I found a good solution. It's clear to me that you wanted to have 4 separate stories but this would have been too long for one post and you can't use one request for several posts.. sadly. Hope this fixed it - I made one general story and continued with 4 different endings. All of them are in the reader version but the 'extra girlfriends' have their specific names to not make it too complicated.
Kind of like this way of writing.. wouldn't mind more requests like this :) ! Thanks for letting me explore this new style even though it probably wasn't intended.
And thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it <3 especially because I don't know if anything I write is good enough for Tumblr or literally any request. Thank you, thank you, thank you <3 !
- Ace x reader - ZoroxRey, SanjixAna, LawxValeria (if one of these names is yours.. you're welcome) - 2,774 words (but it's a 4 in 1 story) - lovey-dovey, little pain in our chest, signs of smut, still SFW, cute moments

Spending some girl-time with your closest best friends was a really rare occasion after spending years on many pirate ships. Especially bonding with female human beings was hard. But since you were dating Ace, you finally got the chance after meeting his friends. Some of them were already in a relationship with their current partners and the rest just started dating. After a successful shopping day, you spend the rest of the evening in the fanciest diner on this island and booked a whole room just for you and your better halves. The men were probably still training or doing something unimportant, but none of you cared. "Can you believe the guy from the bakery? He dared to follow us around just to carry our bags..?", Rey laughed and finished her second glass of wine. "Just please don't tell Sanji about it. He is already heartbroken because I went shopping without him.", Ana pouted and sighed a bit sad. You rolled your eyes, "Stop whining. This is the first time after eight months that we could hang out together. And we didn't have to worry about carrying something." "Plus, the guy seemed to be really into you, Ana.", Rey smirked and gave her a flirty wink. "Stop saying that! Sanji could come here any minute! You know how jealous he can get!", Ana warned Rey and glared at her. This was the worst timing ever. "Jealous? Why?! Did anyone touch you?!", Sanji's eyes were already in flames and he almost teleported himself to his girlfriend after hearing these words. The men decided to join you all on the right - or maybe wrong? - time and chose to mock the conversation. "Probably some weird girly things, we don't wanna know about.", Ace grinned and sat down right in front of you. The men sat down on the other side of the table and didn't even choose to greet them with a hug or a kiss, except for Sanji, who could barely let his fingers of Ana. You raised an eyebrow at Ace's comment, "What?" "Just kidding! You had probably something important to talk about.. like which nail color you're supposed to get next week.", Ace added and high-fived Zoro. "Or what hairstyle you should make to match your earrings!", Zoro couldn't stop laughing at his own comment. Ace turned to Law for another high five but he just glared at the topless pirate. "What? You're leaving me hanging like this?!" "Don't drag me into this.", Law turned away from him and faced Valeria, who seemed pleased by his answer. The others were not though. You were still confused by Ace's behavior but slowly understood that he tried to be as manly as possible in front of the others. Sanji sat down on his place after failing to convince Ana to have her sit on his lap. "What do you mean? An hour ago you were talking about how Valeria tried to draw her eyeliner but ended up looking like a panda!", Ace laughed and high-fived Zoro again, who seemed to feel a bit unsure about Ace's comment now. Rey looked down at her drink, already realizing how quickly the mood changed since they started making fun of all of you. Valeria was shocked. She didn't know how to respond and just shook her head, ignoring Law's desperate look on his face. "That's enough, Ace.", you talked silently and poured yourself some wine, not caring about the waiter offering to do it for you. "What.. I-", Ace froze after seeing your face. It pained him to see you being disappointed and he didn't know how that happened. "I am sorry if I have offended anyone.. we were just talking.. ", he cleared his throat and began to feel uncomfortable. He didn't see that coming. "Then maybe you should stop it", you were still not able to look up. "Stop what? Talking?" "Yes.", your eyes flashed up to him now. He didn't expect to see the anger in them. Ace has never seen that glare directed at him. It felt way too painful. "Okay, everyone. Let's calm down now and enjoy this dinner.", Sanji tried to cool down the situation and looked at the food, which didn't look good enough for his girlfriend. "Gonna be hard when you're here.", Zoro commented under his breath and was already eating his meal. "Huh?!", Sanji clenched
his teeth and tensed all his muscles to not smack Zoro for that comment. "Can you just calm down, you two?!", Ana took a deep and annoyed breath, trying to stay calm in this uncomfortable scenario. Ace couldn't stop but to look at you, ignoring him now. "Valeria-" "Don't.", she stopped Law from whatever he was trying to say. Everyone was quiet. Nobody was eating. "..anyone want some extra bread?", the waiter whispered and stood behind you, holding up a basket with fresh bread.
-----
Ace x reader When you arrived in the room of your hotel, you still didn't dare to say a word. You were still furious about his behavior, especially because this wasn't the first time he dared to say something like that. "(Y/N), I am-" "I don't want to hear it." "Please, just let me-" "I said, that I don't want to hear it.", you hit your jacket onto the bed and let go of it a few seconds after. Taking a deep breath, Ace pressed his lips together and didn't know what to say or do. You two never had a fight like this and he feared to say something wrong, which would make you leave him. "I don't want us to go to bed angry.", he whispered sadly and stepped closer to you. You just froze and closed your eyes, trying to remain calm. "You always do this.. every time you make fun of something I do. I stopped talking about my hobbies and literally anything that makes me happy and you caught a glimpse of us having fun, and immediately you chose to mock it..." Ace frowned at that and thought back to all the times he tried to have fun with you. He never understood any of your hobbies or what girls liked, which is why he tried to spend some time with you by making jokes but it never occurred to him that it was actually hurting you. "Why did you never tell me that? I didn't know that it hurt you.." "Because I shouldn't need to tell you! I hate when you try to make fun of me or other people like that! You literally took the joy of me doing my hair, trying to learn how to skateboard or even baking muffins! I hate this, I hate the fights and I hate yo-" Both of you froze right on your spots. "Oh my God..", tears were rolling down your eyes and your knees weren't able to support you any longer. You immediately went down to your knees and hid your face in your hands. "I didn't want to say this.. it slipped.. I don't hate you, Ace!" Your heart was aching at what you were about to say. Ace didn't feel any better. He sat down right next to you and watched you wiping your tears away. "I have caused this... I am sorry, (Y/N).. This will never happen again, I promise. I just wanted to be a part of something in your life.", he took a deep breath and pulled you onto his lap. "I will find another way. Just please.. don't hate me." You shook your head and hugged him tight back, hiding your face in his neck and never ever letting him go. --- Zoro x Rey Zoro came out of the shower, just a towel around his hips and water still dripping down his naked chest. This was usually a sight, which made you jump right onto him but not this time. The pirate hunter had hoped for you to fall for it because he was really bad at apologizing but he knew you had a stronger will than him. He would have fallen for it. You were already in bed, cuddled into your pillow and ignoring him professionally. "Rey.. I can feel that you're not sleeping.", Zoro approached the bed and sighed when you didn't respond. "..are you mad at me?", he whispered now carefully. You raised an eyebrow at this provocative question and pressed your lips together, trying not to give back a stupid answer. But your mouth responded faster than your brain. "No, I am super happy about today's events. We can repeat that tomorrow again, if you feel like making fun of women-things.", you added in a sarcastic tone. "So.. that's a yes?" You turned around, the pillow tight in your grip and pulled the pillow with a loud thud onto his face. When you took the pillow away, you narrowed your eyes at his provocative smirk. "Definitely, yes." "Shut up.", you sighed and were about to turn around again but he grabbed your wrist and pulled you to the other side of the bed until you were facing him. "Stop running away from your problems all the time, lady." "I really hate when you are doing this!", you tried to free your arm from his grip. "What?" "Using your strength to make me do whatever you want to!" "This is literally the reason, why you started dating me. Because I am not a weakling, who gets dragged by everyone like your stupid exes. But if you really hate it, then that means you must hate me
too, right?", he leaned forward, making sure not to miss any sort of reaction in your eyes. You looked at him surprised and didn't know what to say. After a few seconds, you shook your head and sighed a bit. "I couldn't hate you for being you. I hate the fact that you're making fun of girl-things all the time." "Alright, I'll stop then.", Zoro promised and let go of your hand. He turned around and went to the pile of washed clothes on the couch to pick out something to sleep in. Right.. I forgot how easy it can be in a relationship. You talk, promise and go on. Not believing what he just did, your brain had a thousand thoughts about what would happen during this night but it did not involve any sort of clothes. You stood up, went to him, and pulled away his towel. Zoro turned around, surprised by your decision, "Oj.. bad girl." --- Sanji x Ana After this emotional and very unusual dinner, you decided to have some tea. Sanji was still in your bedroom preparing a bath for you even though you've told him that you weren't in the mood for it. You hid in the kitchen and cooked some water, while preparing the rest. While you were looking for the honey, which he was hiding from Luffy, Sanji entered the kitchen. "Oj, what are you doing?", he approached you and immediately figured that you were making some tea. "Just something to warm myself up with a sweet taste.", you smiled a bit exhausted and felt Sanji's arms around you in an instant. "I am sorry for today.. I know that I promised you to not get triggered because of that marimo but his bare existence is to annoy me.", Sanji tried to brighten the mood and gave you a soft kiss on your head. "No, it's okay.. I am already used to it. I just wanted to have a chill day with the girls and this fight kind of ruined everything again.", you shrugged and leaned softly onto him, enjoying his muscular arms supporting you. "Oh.. so you don't hate me, right?" You laughed softly. The relationship had only just begun and Sanji had to question every move of yours. "I could never...", you looked up to him and kissed his warm lips softly, forgetting about everything that had happened in the last hour. --- Law x Valeria Law used his room ability to create a bubble surrounding the two of you. He carefully stepped closer and put his arm around your waist only to see you turn your head away from him. He tensed his jaw, trying to hide the sudden strike of pain in his chest and just decided to ignore it for now. "Shambles." You found yourself in your and Law's bedroom. After a few seconds, you just freed yourself from his arm and went straight into the bathroom, locking yourself in. Law just stood there, not knowing what to do or say. He had definitely hurt your feelings but he didn't know how to apologize for it. "Val..", he closed the distance slowly to the door and tried to listen to whatever you were doing inside. It sounded like you were throwing something away and sniffling quietly. Fuck.. "Valeria.. what are you doing?" "Cleaning.", your response was sharp. Law knew that he was a genius, who could solve the hardest puzzle on this planet or even have a detailed discussion with Robin, but even Luffy or Kid would have been able to figure out what you were doing right now. "Stop throwing away your things. I like it when you put on your make-up." "Are you sure about that? Or are you going to call me a dog or a salamander the next time you talk to others?!", you wiped away your tears and threw away the rest of the make-up, which you bought today. "Stop overreacting. I was just talking about your eyeliner the other day and you hated it too. Take out the make-up again and forget about it.", he sighed and knew that this wasn't something he should say but he also knew that it would trigger you enough to get out of the bathroom. "You know what-!", you opened the door harshly and stepped out, pointing your index finger at him. Law had a hard time hiding his cheeky smile because he already knew you well enough. "I hate what you're doing! Always talking about me behind my back! I hate
you for it!", you crossed your arms at your chest and took a deep breath, trying to control the last brain cells, which are still able to hold you back from kissing his cheeky smirk. The pirate captain raised an eyebrow at that and needed a second to choose his next words wisely. "Did you just tell me that you hate me?" "I said that I hate you for it! Not that I hate you!" "This is literally the same..", Law tilted his head a bit and couldn't quite accept that. "I hate it when you talk about me behind my back before talking to me personally. You were the first one to say 'I love you' but not directly to me.. no! You said it to Bepo first and he told me. Then you said that you preferred my soft cookies more than the brownies but again: you didn't tell me! You told Sanji! And to the newest 'Law is a wimp and can't tell his girlfriend anything personally', you told the boys that I looked like a damn panda!" "But a cute one..", Law smirked now and stepped closer, putting his hand on your cheek softly. You were just about to smack it away but Law was faster. He pushed you against a wall within a second and pressed his body against yours. His hand rested on your neck and he pressed his thumb against your chin, forcing you to look up at him. "Say it again, Valeria..", he purred your name in his dangerously sexy voice. "Say that you hate me." You frowned at his reaction and didn't really understand how this turned him on. "No, you weirdo." "Say it.", he commanded now and leaned closer to you, your lips barely touching. "Make me.", your last brain cells just said their goodbyes. A harsh sound of him pulling out his belt appeared beside you and you couldn't look away. His eyes were focused on yours as if he'd die if he'd miss anything for a second. "Don't tell Bepo.. but you're my favorite panda." "You fucking... I really hate you now.", you spoke through your teeth and tried to push him away. The most heartwarming laugh escaped Law's lips and he immediately locked his lips with yours, not giving you a chance to respond to him laughing. Law pulled your arms behind your back and tied them with his belt. "That's my girl.", he whispered in between your kiss and didn't let go of you for the rest of the night.

In Simple Joy and Peace (3/14/2021)
So I was thinking about LuSan and then the scene with Toriel where she’s pregnant with Asriel and something like this happened. I- I don’t know why but i mean, cute??
Although I didn't do it, I'm actually wondering if I should make a part 2 to this that contains the wedding and maybe them flashing back to when Sanji proposed to Luffy. I'm not sure tho. What do y'all think?
This story is on ao3 but you can also read it here by scrolling down past the summary!

In Simple Joy and Peace (Published: March/14/2021)
      Pairing: Luffy x Sanji
      Fandom: One Piece
     Trigger Warning: None.
Length: 2262 Words, 1 Chapter. Completed.
Summary: He chuckled, tightening his arm around Luffy to bring him a little closer, “Oh, i know what you mean now,” he lowered his voice to a more charming tone as he leaned forward to kiss the black haired man but then he pulled away slightly, grinning cheekily, “your birthday?”
“Sanji!” Luffy glared at him, propping himself up on his elbows as he slapped Sanji’s chest. “You know full well that tomorrow isn’t my birthday!”
Sanji only laughed and brought his angry love back into his hold, “I know, I know, I’m sorry,” he chuckled and this time kissed him for real, making Luffy melt against him instantly. He pulled back to stare into those chocolate brown eyes he’s come to adore and decided to quit teasing the poor man.
“It’s our wedding day,” he said softly, watching as those darling eyes widened and a blush dusted his husband-to-be’s cheeks.
Luffy smiled as if he had been reminded of the most happiest memory he ever had and that’s exactly how he felt. Tomorrow, in the evening, the two of them were going to be wed. They would husbands, bound together in eternal love, until death do they part. And even after death, Sanji would never let Luffy part from him.

“Sanji...” A voice whispered in the silence of the night. There was barely any sound in the wood paneled room except the soft breathing of the man in question and sound of a gentle breeze making the waves roll outside the window.
The man in question let out a hum but otherwise didn’t respond.
“Sanji...!” The voice said again, a little harsher this time.
“Yes?” Sanji finally responded, not even cracking open his eyes to peer at the man beside him, curled up into his chest, half naked and wide awake for some reason. It hadn’t been long since Sanji started to fall asleep but now, you could say that his plans of getting a good sleep were ruined.
The voice only giggled, “guess what day tomorrow is~”
Sanji smiled slightly. Adorable, he thought to himself. “Christmas?” he asked, playing hard to get, knowing full well that it was currently summer.
“Nooo...,” The man whined, a wide smile evident in his voice, “try again~”
The blond took in a deep breath, more awake now than before. He rolled over onto his side, gently placing a hand on his love’s hip, cracking opening his eyes. He saw the brown eyes of Luffy twinkling at him, expecting an answer. “Easter?”
“Sanji-”  Luffy clicked his tongue, pouting like a child, “it’s not a holiday!”
He chuckled, tightening his arm around Luffy to bring him a little closer, “Oh, i know what you mean now,” he lowered his voice to a more charming tone as he leaned forward to kiss the black haired man but then he pulled away slightly, grinning cheekily, “your birthday?”
It was strange to think about now. Tomorrow was the day they were going to be married, Sanji always thought when this day came, he’d be wed to a beautiful woman - someone like Nami or maybe exactly Nami-chan. But things didn’t turn out that way, he was quite happy about that.
It took a while but after his time on the ship with his determined, brave, admirable but aloof captain, he realized he was deeply in love with him. It took him even longer to finally confess to the boy and when he did, the result was unique to say the least.
“You love me?” Luffy had said that day, staring up at Sanji with confusion. “I always knew that, Sanji, I love you, too!” He beamed at the cook.
Sanji blushed but he realized quickly who he was confessing to. He shook his head, “no, Luffy, you don’t understand. I love you as a man to... well... another man.”
Luffy only looked even more confused. He tilted his head ever so slightly, “so...,” he started, “like me and Ace?”
Quickly, Sanji shook his head, “no, not like a brother.”
“Like me and Zoro?” Luffy asked, trying his hardest to understand. It wasn’t like he was rejecting his feelings, Sanji could tell that Luffy just honestly did not understand. It was to be expected, this was Luffy he was talking to. Sanji maybe should’ve planned this out a little better.
“No, not like captain and first mate,” Sanji shook his head, letting out a little sigh. How should he explain this?
Luffy let out a hum, his brow furrowing in concentration as he tried to understand it.
“You know how I look at Nami?” Sanji asked. It was weird example to use and he felt uncomfortable using it, but it was the only way it would click for Luffy.
      He nodded, “yes.”
“And how I look at Robin?”
      Again, Luffy nodded.
“That’s how I look at you too.” Sanji said, “expect with you... it’s actual feelings. I actually do love you and want to be with you.”
Luffy tilted his head, folding his arms as he thought over what Sanji was saying. “So you... you think of me as a woman?” he raised an eyebrow, really trying to understand.
Sanji couldn’t help but chuckle. He was getting closer but not quite there yet. He sighed, leaning down a bit so his eyes were level with Luffy’s. “Listen. You know how a man sometimes falls in love with a woman, and as they fall deeper in love with each other, they get married?”
Luffy nodded and Sanji continued, “that’s how I feel about you. But not because I see you as a woman. I see you as you and I love you.”
The aloof captain thought about it for a second before his eyes widened in realization and his cheeks turned a deep red. Ah, he finally got it. Sanji grinned even though he intended to keep a serious expression on his face. It’s just the result of it finally clicking for Luffy was a lot cuter than he thought it would be.
“O-Oh...,” Luffy responded, clutching on his hat to hide his eyes, “I-I see.”
“You don’t have to return my feelings you know,” Sanji said quickly, not wanting to make the poor captain uncomfortable, “it’s okay if you don’t feel the same.”
“A-Ah, no, that’s not it,” Luffy stammered and Sanji felt a little hopeful from his words. “N-No, it’s just... I’m not experienced with those kinds of things, Sanji. Literally not experienced with anything in that department.”
He tilted his hat back so Sanji could see his flustered face, his eyes glued to the floor as he tried to explain his thoughts, “I don’t know why I never really- like you- with those things.”
Sanji knew in this moment he was supposed to be serious and understanding. He understood what Luffy was trying to say. He didn’t feel the concept of romantic or sexual attraction the way some people did, definitely not as much as Sanji did.
But Sanji couldn’t stop himself from just melting from the sight of a shy, flustered Luffy. It was look he had never seen on Luffy and he loved it. However, now wasn’t the time for that and he knew it. “That’s okay,” he said honestly with a smile, “you’re a little different when it comes to things like that and that’s okay. You’ll learn as you go through relationships with or without me and as time goes by, you might understand it a bit more. And if you don’t that’s fine too.”
Luffy’s blush deepened as he shifted on his feet, glancing away from Sanji’s kind words. “T-Thank you for saying that.”
“It’s nothing to thank me for, it’s an honest statement,” Sanji said.
Luffy cleared his throat, a brief silence coming over them before he went back to the topic at hand, “I know that someday I might get it but the thing is right now, I don’t. I don’t really understand my feelings for you. I can’t tell you if it’s love or something else.”
“Do you think you could clarify it?”
The captain let out a hum, glancing away from Sanji’s brown eyes for a second before responding, “It’s... different than how i feel about everyone else,” Luffy said. He stumbled over his words, explaining slowly but carefully about how he felt, “It’s not like with Ace. You would make a good brother but I just don’t... see you that way.”
Sanji chuckled. Always so nice. “I see, that’s fine. Do you see me like Zoro?”
Luffy took another second to think before slowly shaking his head, “no... I don’t think so. Zoro is amazing,” he chuckled, “but... he’s my friend and I think that’s it.”
      Sanji nodded, “how about Nami?”
“Nami?” Luffy frowned.
“Like how I look at Nami. Is it anything like that with me?”
Luffy paused, tilting his head again in thought, “I don’t think so. I’m not sure what it is, to be honest.”
“I see,” Sanji said, his heart dropping a little bit. Maybe Luffy really did see him as a friend and just a friend.
“But...,” Luffy continued, “I like talking to you more than the others. I like being near you more than the others. I think you’re so cool and fun to be around that I like spending time with you more than... the others.” he blushed before clearing his throat, meeting Sanji’s eyes, “but I don’t know if that’s love or just... if I like you a lot as a friend.”
Sanji blinked, mulling over what Luffy said. It could be possible... maybe... “I see,” he answered, “well to be honest, from what you’ve told me, I think I am someone you’re interested in.”
“R-Really?” Luffy stammered, his eyes widening slightly.
“However,” Sanji continued, “like you, I don’t know if that’s love or just friendly admiration.”
“Oh...” Luffy said, looking a little sad from that outcome.
Sanji smiled, “but that doesn’t mean we can’t be in a relationship.” Luffy looked confused for a moment before Sanji continued, “most of the time, Luffy, when two people get into a relationship, there’s a mutual basis of love but it’s so unclear and weak that that’s why people go into a relationship in the first place. If we both knew for sure that we were madly in love with each other, why not skip everything and get married right here, right now?”
He leaned up, “love is the foundation of all relationships and when you want to spend your lives together, you need to make sure that foundation is strong. That’s why people date first. It’s so they can build upon that foundation or learn that the foundation can’t get stronger. Dating is how you learn if you truly love someone.”
“So with all of that being said,” he cleared his throat, “do you want to try a relationship with me? We can go as slow as you want and if you ever decide that it doesn't work, we can part ways.”
Luffy glanced at the ground for a minute, thinking about it. He was silent for a long time before looking back up at the blond, “I... I think I’d like to.”
Sanji grinned, “okay. Then as of today, we are officially dating.”
      Luffy chuckled, blushing wildly, “c-cool!”
He was going to be awkward about this, Sanji could already tell but he didn’t care. It was adorable.
“That means no flirting or looking at other ladies. Or guys,” Sanji said seriously, earning a playful glare from Luffy.
“Oi, oi, why are you warning me? You’re the one who needs to be careful now. I’ll get upset if you look at anyone else,” he grinned and already the new relationship was starting to feel like it fitted right into place with how they usually were.
They took things slow. Very slow. It took almost six years before Luffy could finally tell Sanji that he loved him the same way that Sanji felt about him. And that was when Sanji asked Luffy to marry him and now, here they were, in bed, nearly an hour after midnight, excited for tomorrow.
Luffy curled further against his side, nuzzling his nose against Sanji’s, his eyes twinkling like a night sky during a meteor shower, “correct,” he said, softly, “tomorrow is the day that I become Luffy Vinsmoke!”
“Oi, I thought tomorrow was the day I become Sanji D. Monkey,” The blond chuckled. Truth be told, neither of them could really decide on a last name. They tried to figure out what would fit before finally choosing to not take eithers. Last names weren’t really that important anyway. What really mattered was the marriage itself.
“Nooo,” Luffy whined, “I want to be Luffy Vinsmoke. Luffy... D. Vinsmoke,” He giggled, “and then you can be Sanji D. Vinsmoke. Genius idea, yeah?”
Sanji laughed, placing a kiss on Luffy’s temple and another on his nose, “yes, very genius idea.”
Luffy laughed as Sanji placed more kisses on his face, wrapping his strong arms around his thin waist. He melted against his warmth, feeling a wave of peace and comfort roll over him.
“I’m so excited, I can’t sleep,” Luffy said honestly, “I wish it already was tomorrow.”
“Oh?” Sanji hummed, his voice lowering into a more sultry down. Uh oh. You give Sanji an inch, he’ll take a mile and that’s exactly what he was going to do. “Need help getting tired~?” he asked with a mischievous grin, now trailing his kisses down to the rubber man’s neck.
His husband-to-be only giggled, carding his fingers through the blond’s hair, “Maaaybe~” he said back with an equally mischievous tone of voice.
He smiled as he pressed his lips firmly against Sanji’s, nearly purring at the taste of him. He couldn’t wait to be married to this man and spend the rest of their lives just like this.
      In simple joy and peace.

Marco’s Bauble Part 8 - a One Piece Mermaid AU Text Story
Another update for Tumblr!
This work goes by On the Courtship of Monkey D. Luffy on AO3, and I’ll be updating over there tonight as well!
A quick question....do people like reading the updates here on Tumblr? Or now that it’s on AO3, would people prefer to read there? And if so, would you be okay waiting for new updates until AO3 catches up? I’m a little torn because I’m not sure if people are enjoying reading on here, and it’s quite a hassle to format for Tumblr, and it’s getting a bit difficult for me to juggle updating these stories on 3 separate platforms...
ANYWAY, in this update, Thatch has some Thoughts, and there is mention of Ace x Luffy.
Continues off of, and should be read after:

What are her 3 sizes?
(For the wedding dress, of course.)
"The fuck! Like I'd tell you!" Thatch roars, startling the blue gull into momentarily leaping off the rail, before it circles back, landing again to peck at his  sleeve to express its displeasure. Thatch ignores it, because he's fuming.
So apparently all of his and Koala's secret debates over whether Marco intentionally proposed or not were for naught, because here's the fucking evidence. And it comes from Izo of all people, because Thatch would recognize that lopsided handwriting anywhere (the man insists that his handwriting is beautiful in his native language of Wano, but he never quite got used to writing any other way).
And well, if Izo, an unrelated third party but professional snooper knows, then Marco himself must know.
And apparently, they're already planning a wedding.
Thatch feels like an idiot. He'd been defending Marco against Koala, and the lil Revolutionary was a tough opponent, one he'd had to chase out of the kitchen with a ladle more than once when he was tired of her word games. Thatch had insisted, like a fool, that no Marco's not that kind of guy, he really isn't the type to play with people's emotions, he would never propose for a joke, nor would he do it seriously without good reason. It must all be an accident, a little misunderstanding, Marco was just ignorant like Thatch himself was!
Except, apparently he did know and it wasn't an accident, and now Thatch feels completely lost because he doesn't know what Marco's thinking at all. Marco, who's not just his his first friend on the Moby, but arguably his best friend; Marco, his brother over several decades; Marco, who Thatch thought he knew better than anyone, except perhaps Pops himself...
Thatch's also pissed, because if Marco wants to start drama after they all reunite and he's introduced to Luffy, that's one thing (not that that would be great either). But right now, they're still near the beginning of Paradise with almost half the circumference of the world to go until even the halfway point, and Marco is WAY on the other side of the Red Line. If this ship explodes in flames or whatever that batshit Revolutionary brother might do, Mister First Division Commander is completely unaffected, but there are plenty of innocents here (like hello! Thatch!) who would find that pretty devastating.
Also, Thatch was the one who passed on that gift to Luffy! Even if he didn't know what it meant at the time...doesn't that make Thatch complicit? And even if not, Marco's strongest connection here is clearly Thatch. If Marco's actions cause chaos, then the blame and responsibility to clean up the mess naturally falls upon Thatch. Which, he definitely did not sign up for.
Pops, Thatch thinks miserably, I thought I was supposed to show them they can depend on us Whitebeards, NOT that us Whitebeards will fuck shit up for them...
But more than anything, there's a shocking large part of Thatch that absolutely balks at just the idea of Luffy getting married. And it's shocking because Thatch shouldn't feel this upset.
Marco, for all the complaints Thatch wants to hurl at him at the moment, is still a really great guy. A guy who, in literally any other situation, Thatch would be the first in line to enthusiastically encourage, and also to congratulate.
And sure, Thatch knows he has a crush, and his little Seastar's carving out a larger home for herself in his heart by the day, but--Thatch admittedly has crushes a lot. Sure, this one feels different, but...Marco, to his knowledge, has never had a romantic crush. He only sometimes but very rarely even has a night out, and Thatch doesn't think he's ever held a relationship longer than three encounters. He's always so serious, so diligent, so sincerely and whole-heartedly dedicated to Pops and his family. He almost never does anything selfish for himself, and Thatch would know.
If, for whatever reason, Marco is genuinely serious about Luffy...then Thatch should, and would, step to the side, regardless of personal feelings. If this is the path Marco wants, then he deserves it, and Thatch will always be the first to say it, no matter how craptastic the circumstances. And Thatch knows that Marco would give his bride the world.
Without them even having met, Thatch doesn't doubt for a second that Marco would make Luffy happy, till the end of her days.
The fact that Thatch knows all this, yet still feels near unbearable reluctance...says more than he's willing to admit.
And so he decides to avoid thinking about the most obvious reason (his own feelings), and instead contemplates his second very compelling reason: Ace.
His littlest brother isn't so great at being honest with himself, and never has. But this, Thatch feels, isn't just a matter of denial.
The boy literally has no clue.
Oh sure, Ace knows he loves his little brother. He makes sure everyone else knows it too, both here on the Merry and back on the Moby once he opened up enough to talk to people. He's so damn proud of her, yet also concerned for her, while also trusting her with his life and more. It's clear to anyone who sees them together that he absolutely adores her.
But it's more than that, isn't it, Thatch thinks. It's in the little gestures, the way Ace raises his arm up without looking at her and she slides under it, also without needing to look at him. It's the casual way they lace their fingers together, like it's nothing, when they're snoozing out on the deck. It's the way sometimes they have unspoken conversations, just staring into each others eyes, before moving forward in synch to meet in the middle to bump their foreheads together in some secret mutual understanding.
It's the reason why Sanji, for all his extravagant flirting, knows when to shut up and return to being a normal human (and, Thatch grudgingly admits, this applies to himself too). It's why Zoro never lets his gaze linger more than two seconds longer than it needs to (but he'll always take those two seconds), why Nami always looks like she wants to sit closer but doesn't, why Koala hasn't said anything when she's probably usually a much more proactive flirter.
Everyone on their crew can see it, except the two in question.
Ace, Thatch thinks, heaving a huge sigh as he looks down at the crumpled note from Izo in his palm. Little brother, you are so fucking in love.
It might not necessarily be romantically. It's certainly not particularly sexually, if Ace's lack of reaction to Lu's aggressive physical smothering is any indication. It could very possibly be platonically.
But either way, there's no room for Sanji, nor Zoro, nor the girls, nor even Thatch himself...at least, until those two figure that out.
Until then, everyone aboard the Merry is here because they love and respect their captains. No one would dare encroach on something so special, yet so potentially immature, not yet ready to be dragged out to be recognized.
Thatch knows Ace has known Luffy for years, he practically raised her. But he was also away at sea for three years. Luffy was a child when he left; she's an adult now.
Thatch once asked him if she had changed at all since he last saw her (Ace most certainly had, according to Deuce). And Ace looked blank, then horribly confused, before saying No...but also, yeah, I guess. Thatch understands; Ace isn't used to not knowing something about Luffy. And something...something had changed.
That something might very well be the thing that needs to be figured out. And for that, Ace hasn't had much time yet, since reuniting with Luffy. Only as much time as the rest of them, in fact. And they deserve time to figure that out, and as the two captains' loving crew, the ASL pirates have an unsaid agreement to watch over them...at least until they have.
(After that, Thatch thinks grimly, it might be open game.)
But of course, there's also the question of Luffy herself, and as much as she's the heart of the ASL Pirates, she's also an enigma. Thatch, for all that he adores her and honestly wants more with her, genuinely has a hard time imagining her as anything but clueless as someone's romantic partner (he's carefully not thinking about anything sexual). It very well may be that the whole "figuring out" that she and Ace have to do...ends up being nothing. And that's fine as well.
Either way, as much as Thatch loves him, there's no way that any of them here on board the Merry will stand to let Marco shatter this delicate...whatever it is that's going on between their captains, that the rest of them are so patiently respecting. Even if it ends up continuing indefinitely.
As strained as it can feel at times, they're comfortable like this. There's the little spark of joy when Seastar gives him a little extra attention, a little burn when Sanji kisses her hand, but comfort in the stability that no one will go any further. If anything it's a nice little spice to their daily lives, just the right amount, and not enough ruin the dish so to speak. This is fine.
Except, that there's just one teeny little problem...
"What did the blue gull bring you today, Commander?"
Thatch doesn't jump, because he's not an amateur and did realize that the Revolutionary was approaching, but perhaps later than he should have. Damn the kid's good at hiding his presence, and Thatch wonders if he'd have noticed at all if Sabo was being serious.
"Just a stupid request from a stupid brother," Thatch says cheerfully as he turns around to face Sabo. The boy isn't even trying to hide his curiosity, his gaze pinned to Thatch's hand.
Thatch contemplates chucking the letter into the sea, but then he realizes he isn't sure Sabo wouldn't just dive after it, and as a devil fruit user, Thatch wouldn't be able to stop him from reading it underwater.
So he casually uncurls his fingers, watches Sabo visibly perk up--before Thatch opens a black hole in his palm, letting the crumpled paper get sucked into the void.
(Perhaps he should be using his power as more than a secure second dimension pocket expansion, but hey, so far it hasn't been so helpful in the kitchen.)
Sabo sags and sulks, rather cutely, Thatch thinks. "You coulda let me see it," he pouts, looking up at Thatch with an expression uncannily like Luffy's. Fuck.
"Collecting intel, Chief?" Thatch winks, expertly hiding his horror that for a moment, he'd actually been tempted. Little sneak.
"Perhaps." Something slightly manic enters his gaze, and alright, that's nothing like Seastar, not so cute after all...
"Nice try, but it's a personal family thing, can't really share," Thatch says, and it's not really a lie.
Sabo grunts, letting it go, before his gaze flicks to the gull, who still has a beakful of Thatch's sleeve. "It waiting for something?"
Thatch sighs. "Yeah, yeah, my response, which I should probably give..." Because, right, Thatch needs to send a message back to the Moby, even if no, he isn't going to answer Izo's idiotic question.
Which, is actually a fine excuse to extract himself from this situation.
"So, sorry, the response also is personal, hope you don't mind," Thatch nods, and Sabo easily opens the way for him--which, Thatch belatedly realizes, he'd actually been blocking. Scary, little Chief, scary...
"Sorry, didn't mean to pry." Sabo sounds genuinely apologetic, and tips his hat at Thatch as he passes by, and Thatch inwardly heaves a massive sigh of relief. "I'm working on it, but I know I can get a little...pushy, when it comes to things that involve my baby brother."
Thatch continues to walk away.
But inside...
Oh. Yikes, he thinks.
~~
Thatch is in the privacy of the currently empty men's sleeping room beneath the deck, and has just finished writing and giving instructions and bribes to the gull when the hatch creaks open.
"Thatch, we're in trouble," Koala announces as she stomps down the stairs, making her sneaky opening of the door rather pointless.
"I noticed," Thatch says dryly.
Koala pales. "He didn't break any of your toes, did he?!"
"What."
"Well, you're a cook, you make food Luffy likes with your hands," Koala shrugs. "Just wanted to make sure."
"What the fuck."
"I don't think he will! You're Luffy and Ace's crew, and you're a Whitebeard pirate, but..."
Thatch groans. "I already thought your Chief might be trouble, but holy shit I didn't know he was that batshit."
"He might not be!" Koala sounds defensive, but it's not particularly comforting. "He's usually reasonable, kind of, but since his memories came back..."
Thatch throws up his arms. "So, how'd he get it out of you?"
Koala flushes. "I didn't say anything!"
"Sure."
"It's not my fault that Sabo's a damn--!"
There's a loud knock, before the hatch flings open, and Ace pops his head in. "Hey Thatch! What's for snack--"
"NOT AGAIN!" Koala cries.
At the same time, Thatch shouts, "IN A SECOND!"
Either way, the hatch slams shut with a, "SORRY!"
Thatch and Koala stare at each other with their hearts beating uncomfortably rapidly.
They slowly heave a slow sigh of relief as the tension drains.
"I really need to apologize to Ace," Thatch mutters.
"I really need to work on my Observation Haki," Koala groans.
"HEY THATCH, I WANT A SNACK," Luffy shouts, and Thatch and Koala's heads whip around in horror, only to sag with relief at seeing that Luffy's not in the room, but only for a second--
--because after that second, a mermaid's crashing through the hatch, ripping it from its hinges as she slams, hatch and all, into Thatch's chest.
The room fills with dust and debris, and there are shouts outside.
Koala gingerly peers into the wreckage where Thatch is now buried in the wall, a terrified blue gull  perched on her shoulders peering alongside her, its claws digging through the fabric of her shirt.
"We're fine," Thatch coughs, peering down to make sure he'd successfully caught and shielded Luffy from damage, even as he peels himself from the wood. Luffy seems unharmed, though her eyes are wide; she clearly hadn't expected to do quite this much.
"...Armament?" Koala asks, noticing how the back of Thatch's hair is black from where it's fanned around him.
"Armament," Thatch agrees, keeping the entire back of his body coated until he's safely pulled himself and Luffy, still in his arms, away from any sharp wood.
"Sorry, Thatch," Luffy says, not particularly apologetic, if anything sort of curious. She peels herself back from his chest, scritching her cheek while looking down at what was once the hatch to the mens room that had shattered between them. She then reaches back to tug at Thatch's black locks, and oohs when they fade back to auburn.
"No worries, just make sure to make it up to Deuce and Usopp when they have to fix this," Thatch sighs, before grinning, letting his arms fall away from Luffy once he knows she has a secure grip on his shoulders. He then begins carding his fingers through her hair to make sure no splinters got in, and likewise dusting off the front of her vest, taking care not to let his touch linger. Luffy nods frantic agreement, more like rubs her head into his palm, and Thatch feels his heart skip a beat.
Koala sighs.
"Hey Thatch, what's this?"
Thatch blinks, then inwardly curses.
Luffy's holding Izo's crumpled piece of paper. His control of his power's still shoddy, and it must have accidentally spat it back out in the commotion.
Please, don't be able to read that, he prays. He luckily doesn't have much confidence in Luffy's reading abilities.
"It says 'what are her three sizes.' What are those?"
In the background, Koala slowly raises her fist.
~~
A few days later, Marco's scouting when a blue gull rapidly approaches him.
Delivery! it squawks. Delivery for you, Boss, and don't show Izo! Don't show Izo! Don't show Izo or the bread man will be mad!
Thank you, noted, friend, Marco responds, and catches the note from Thatch in mid air.
The gull trills acknowledgement, then wheels away to rejoin its brethren, while Marco changes course for the nearest island, a safe forest haven in Pops's territory, still a ways away from the Moby. It's uninhabited, save for the wildlife, and it would be good to land once before returning home anyway.
Marco lands lightly on the tallest and oldest tree on the island, from where he can survey the island of pure greenery, and the endless blue stretching beyond. The branch he's chosen looks deceptively thin, but he already knows it can support his human weight, which is why he shifts, passing the note from his claw to his hand before completing his transformation.
Marco frowns. The other Commanders (and to be honest, the entire crew) have been acting a bit strange recently, but for Thatch, who isn't even on board with them, to also be in on it...
True, this may or may not be related to that at all. But still.
Marco feels like he's missing something.
Marco, Thatch's message starts, and Marco already knows it's going to be serious because it didn't start with a jibe at his appearance.
Marco, I think I'm actually serious about her. Thoughts, brother?
Her, meaning the Ace's little brother, the mermaid girl.
If Marco remembers correctly, in Thatch's first note back to him, he'd written, She's stolen my heart, I think I want to marry her.
Marco had assumed Thatch was joking at the time, or just light-heartedly flirting, as he always did. Marco's used to hearing Thatch spew these kinds of words, and he'd taken it to mean that the girl's exceptionally Thatch's type, but hadn't thought further.
The words had made him remember a little trinket he'd had stored in a chest at the back of his closet, one he'd received from an elderly couple on Fishman Island around two decades ago...
But that's not important now, Marco thinks, focussing on Thatch's message.
In all his years of flings and casual relationships and jokingly asking ladies (and some gents) Won't you marry me...Thatch has not once asked for Marco's opinion. He's certainly had plenty of opinions himself about whether someone would be a potential good match for Marco, which Marco always ignored. But Thatch has never asked Marco about matches for himself.
Thatch really is serious.
Marco finds himself slowly smiling. "Finally, you sap," he murmurs, though no one hears him but the other birds in the trees around him.
He knows he ought to think more about what to say, but the answer is so obvious that Marco takes Thatch's note, and carefully tears the paper so that his brother's words aren't damaged. Gently tucking Thatch's note into his pocket, Marco pulls out a pen for the remaining small blank strip of paper.
Shortly afterwards, two birds depart from the island, in opposite directions: one, a phoenix, wings burning cyan against the clear skies, and the other, a blue gull headed to Paradise.

The Meaning of Justice: Chapter 3
Alabasta Desert
You’re a Marine who’s always been taught to trust the process. And you always have, until you meet a certain pirate who won’t stop pestering you to join his crew.
Nanohana < | > Yuba | All Chapters Characters: female reader, Strawhat crew, Portgas D. Ace, Vivi
Word count: 3.7k
Cw: Alabasta Spoilers, kind of Ace x reader a bit but it’s meant platonically.
A/N: I PROMISE this isn’t an Ace fic please stay with me!!!!
--
The next morning, you woke up with your body covered with sand. You coughed, your mouth dry and caked in grit. You could tell you were moved from your initial sleeping position to behind some rocks, and Ace explained there was a sandstorm during the night. You attempted to shake out the sand from your clothes and your hair, but it seemed to be a part of you now.
After a long, exhausting walk through the desert all morning, Usopp finally spotted a cluster of rocks in the distance, which meant lunch time was close. You thought you were excited to finally eat, but Luffy took off toward the rocks in an instant. He was carrying all his crew’s supplies, which he had collected due to some wager he played with his crewmates. You opted to initially carry your own pack, but the Strawhats had convinced you to hand it over in the end.
--
Luffy held out his hand expectantly towards you.
“I’ll keep mine, thanks though.”
Luffy furrowed his brow. “Come on, Y/N. We’re crewmates.”
“We are not crewmates.”
The crew all eyed you suspiciously at that statement. “What?” Nami demanded. “Do you not trust us?”
“I just want to carry my own damn pack, okay?”
Zoro snorted. “She’s hiding something in there.”
“I am not!”
Zoro didn’t even bother to look at you anymore. “Then hand it over.”
You were getting irritated at their stubbornness. “No! It’s my responsibility!”
Sanji grabbed the straps of your bag, interjecting. “A lady shouldn’t have to carry things when everyone else is free handed.”
You pulled away from the cook. “Don’t touch me!”
Usopp nodded in agreement. “She’s definitely hiding something.”
“Fine!” You shoved the bag into Luffy’s grasp and he smiled that big, goofy grin at you. “Here!”
“Thanks!”
 --
You were regretting that now, since Luffy had managed to lose all the supplies. You wanted to wring his neck, but it seemed Sanji was already taking care of that for you. Once Luffy had taken his beating from the cook, he set off with the promise to return with food.
He finally did return, with a Sandora Dragon chasing after him. You tensed, seeing the giant beast, but Zoro and Sanji leapt into action with Luffy, and the three monsters of the Strawhat Crew took down the dragon in one hit. They were terrifying forces to be reckoned with, and you were glad you were on good terms with them for the time being.
Behind you the earth shook, and you barely had time to turn around before Ace had burnt a similar beast to a crisp from the inside. Freaks of nature, you thought. The Strawhats were scary enough, but Ace taking down one on his own seemed more like he was showing off than anything. Regardless, now you had plenty of meat to go around, and Sanji cooked the food to perfection. You sat with the crew eating in silence, enjoying your high-protein meal.
Luffy and Ace ate far more than you thought possible, and you could see the similarities between the two brothers now that you knew they were related. Though Ace appeared to be much more well-mannered than his counterpart, it was clear they had similar upbringings. They laughed the same, picked on each other relentlessly, and had similar appetites. Now that you thought about it, they even had similar fighting styles, though Luffy was more carefree than his older brother.
“Are you still hungry, my love?” The cook spoke out beside you, making you jump away from your thoughts. You assumed he was talking to Nami, but when you made eye contact with him after a few moments, he was still looking at you expectantly.
You raised an eyebrow at him. “Are you talking to me?”
“Who else would I be talking to, my dear?” His eyes were starting to look more like hearts again. His pet names were the thing that threw you off the most in the group. You could handle the freaky strong crew and their overeager captain, but you had barely spoken to the chef, and yet he spoke to you as if you were his lover from the moment he met you.
You stutter for a second, still taken aback by his boldness. “Uhm, I’m good. Thanks…your name is Sanji, right?”
When you said his name, the cook practically fainted. You weren’t entirely sure you understood what was going on. Was one of the Strawhats playing a trick on you?
“Don’t mind that idiot.” You turned in the direction of the voice to find Nami looking at the cook disappointingly. “He’s just a hopeless romantic. Next time he does that, just hit him on the head. He’ll stop eventually.”
You found her advice between a mix of comical and alarming. “Really? Has he given up on you?”
Nami’s eye twitched, and her frown deepened. She didn’t offer a response, but the clear look of annoyance on her face gave you the answer plain enough.
Raised voices came from the boys, who had grouped around a random camel that Luffy had managed to find during his food search. “Pervy Camel! Pervy Camel!” They chanted, and the navigator abandoned your side to rush to the camel’s defense.
Chopper translated the camel’s words to the crew. His name is Lashes, and he only allowed females to ride on him. The boy’s name calling made much more sense now, and you reminded yourself to add Chopper’s ability to the ever-growing report you would have to file when you return to Smoker.
“Y/N, come on!” Nami called down to you. She had already claimed her seat on top of Lashes, and the camel seems to be overly thrilled with her presence.
“Let Vivi ride. I’ll walk with the rest.” You weren’t sure if it’s your own pride or the camel’s behavior that was making you turn down the offer. You were exhausted, but if the rest of the Strawhats were walking, then so were you.
“No, Y/N, please! I would much rather walk, and I’m more comfortable in the sand,” the princess called, waving you on to take a seat.
You looked at Nami and begged a silent plea for help. Thankfully, she obliged, and reached her hand down towards the princess. “Come on, you deserve to rest too, you know.” Vivi took her hand without a further complaint, and you turned back to the camp to see if you had left any items behind.
Oh. Right. Luffy had lost all your items. The only thing left back at camp was a Sandora Dragon carcass and an orange hat. Ace’s hat. Thinking back, he hadn’t been very chatty during lunch, and you hadn’t seen him much afterwards. You walked over to pick up the hat, looking around for him as you approached.
As you picked it up, he finally appeared out from behind a rock. “Sorry, sorry, just had to take a leak!” His mouth fell open when he realized it’s you standing there, looking equally shocked back at him. You handed his hat back to him without a word, not really sure there were any to say in the first place.
He reached out for it, and then pulled his hand back. “You should wear it.”
“What?” You can’t help the bewildered tone that fell out of your mouth, and you knew that your face wasn't masking the shock either.
He pointed at you with a blank face. “Your face is red.”
“I am not blushing over the thought of wearing your hat!”
His eyes got a devious glimmer, but he bit his lip to avoid saying whatever had come to his mind. “You’re sunburnt. So wear the hat.”
You were thankful for the sunburn, because you really were blushing at his words now, and the last thing you needed was for Ace to tease you further. You stood there for a few moments, dumbfounded, and Ace eventually decided to approach you. He grabbed the hat from your hands and placed it on your head for you as he walked past, chuckling at your sudden lack of words.
Fire Fist Ace’s hat. On your head. Nobody would believe you, even if you dared to speak about it. You’d be kicked out of the Navy if anyone ever found out how friendly you were with the criminal, maybe even imprisoned. You were thankful there weren’t any snail transponder cameras around to catch you. But you had to admit, the hat was comfortable and offered you the shade that you desperately needed at the moment, so you kept it on.
“Uhmmm. Hey Y/N?” His words finally force you to unfreeze. “Where is everyone?”
You looked around and realized that all of the Strawhats are gone. It appeared to only be you and Ace in the desert.
“I didn’t even hear them leave.”
“Nah, me neither.” He looked out towards the slowly sinking sun, two-thirds of the way across the sky now. “Vivi said we’re supposed to head that way, so I guess we should just keep walking. Eventually we’ll find them again.”
You nodded and followed him. You didn’t feel as confident about it as he did, but moving in any direction was better than staying here. Neither of you talked for a long while, trying to conserve energy.
“So,” Ace said, breaking the silence of the desert heat with his words. “Why’d you become a Marine?”
“My parents were Marines.” It was the answer you always gave. A legacy of legacies, they called you. You hadn’t even done anything of note in the Navy, but the title was bestowed upon you nonetheless.
“But why did you become a Marine?”
You thought about his question for a moment. You had lots of reasons for joining the Marines, but none of them seemed honorable enough to say out loud.
“I want to find justice.” It’s not perfect, but that feels like the closest answer to what you feel.
Ace snorted at your answer, and you shot him an irritated look. “What?”
“Nothing,” he chuckled again slightly. “That’s just what the man who raised me said too.”
You raised an eyebrow at that. “You were raised by a Marine?”
“Who’d you think I was raised by?”
A smile flickered over your lips. “Honestly, I assumed you were raised by some wolves in the jungle.”
Ace hummed in response. “You’re not far off.”
And that ended the conversation between the two of you for a while.
--
You didn’t speak again until a giant scorpion appeared. Its pinchers snapped in your direction, and your eyes flicked between the beast and Ace.
“You or me?” You asked.
“I got it.” He pulled back his fist and ignited it, aiming for the monster. He slammed a wall of fire into it, heat rolling over you in waves.
You stood there for a second, staring at the now crispy scorpion. “That was a bit excessive, don’t you think?”
He laughed and flicked the brim of the hat on your head. “You don’t get a reputation like mine by blending in.”
You chose to ignore his comment, but the two of you only walked a few steps before encountering another beast. A large purple lizard, who was intent on mimicking your movements and blocking your path.
Ace’s fist formed flames, ready to send the giant gecko flying, before you stepped in.
“Let’s ride it,” you offered up, and you saw a smirk appear across his freckled face. The two of you worked together to wrangle the purple beast. After a few minutes, you were both sitting atop its head, cruising through the sand.
After a few hours, you all arrived at the outskirts of a town. Ace looked at you and raised an eyebrow. “Shall we check it out?”
You nodded, and he jumped off the gecko. Once he was on the ground, he reached up, offering his hand to you. You hesitated, but took it, and jumped down onto the soft sand next to him.
You all snuck into the town, following the scent of food to an upstairs corridor. You both stood at the door, listening in on the conversation.
“But what happens after we run away? Live on the brink of starvation again?” One voice questioned from inside the room.
“You moron!” shouted the other; who you assumed to be the leader of the group. “Staying alive is all that matters! There are plenty of other villages like this!”
You were furious at the men's conversation in the room. You looked to Ace, ready to charge in on the fake rebels, but he had disappeared from his post beside you.
“You cowards got some real guts to call yourselves rebel soldiers.” His voice came from inside the room, and you looked in to find Ace seated at the table, eating dinner casually.
“If you ask me,” he said, with his mouth full. “It’s a pretty despicable thing for four grown men to do.”
The men tried to attack Ace, but it was over before it even began, with three of the four men ending up in bins behind him. The last man, the leader of the group, kneeled in front of Ace, begging him for help.
“Please, sir! Help us! Take care of the sand bandits that are endangering this town. We are too weak, but you’re no ordinary man. Help us! We’ll give you whatever you want!”
“Anything?” You could hear the smirk on Ace’s face even though his face was being blocked by the man in front of him.
“Yes, yes! Anything!”
“Come on in, Y/N.” His voice carried into the hallway, and you peeked your head in the doorway. Ace turned back to the man to address him. “This is just the start of it. I need one more thing, too.”
After both you and Ace had eaten your fair share of food, he gathered up a sand sled of supplies, and the two of you headed out of town to find the sand pirates that these fake rebels were so afraid of.
The whole encounter with the fake protectors left a bad taste in your mouth. “Frauds like that shouldn’t be protecting a town like that. They’re just doing it for free lodging and food. They’re not going to put in effort when push comes to shove.”
“How do you know they won’t protect them?”
“They said so! Didn’t you hear them? They’re only here for food.”
“Times are hard in Alabasta, if you haven’t noticed.” You heard some annoyance in Ace’s voice, but you chose to ignore it.
“It’s not right for them to use the town like that and give nothing in return.”
Ace only hummed in response, his indicator that the conversation was over, and you all walked in silence for a while, until you saw an outline of a group of people. The Strawhats.
“Ah, so you’re the sand pirates everyone in the town is so afraid of.” Ace led the sled of supplies over to the pirate crew.
“Sand pirates?” Luffy questioned.
Ace threw the sled of supplies towards the Strawhats. “Eat up, they have plenty to spare.”
Ace filled the group in on the situation in the town, and you sat by quietly, watching the groups’ reaction.
Vivi finally spoke up. “I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing if they want to operate under a fake alias, as long as they’re willing to protect the town when they need to.”
“But they won’t,” you interjected, and everyone looked over at you, surprised to hear you voice your opinion. “They said so. They were already talking about running before we got there.”
“I want to see what they’ll do,” Vivi said again.
“You want to test them?” Ace clarified, looking at the princess. She nodded, and the Strawhats began to form a plan.
“You can’t be a part of it,” Ace said, looking at you. “You’ll have to hide with Vivi and Nami.”
You agreed. If there was any speculation that a Marine was in the area, the whole trial would be ruined. You didn’t have any clothes or accessories that scream Navy anymore, but it was still better to be safe than sorry. You took your place behind the rock with the other girls, and watched the scene unfold.
In the end, the brothers stood their ground, though they had to be backed into a pretty tight corner to do so. The eldest brother managed to land a punch on Luffy, even if the pirate let him do so. Vivi made the call to retreat, certain that the brother’s hearts were in the right place. You weren’t as confident in their abilities, but you decided to trust the princess’s judgment on the matter. It was her country, after all.
After you retreated, you sat with the girls as Sanji prepared a celebratory snack for you all. The three of you watched the others interacting with each other. Zoro and Luffy appeared to be fighting over a drumstick, which you were learning was a common occurrence.
Nami scoffed at the brawl in front of you. “Ace is so different from his younger brother. So much more well-mannered.”
You nodded in agreement, your eyes looking over at Fire Fist, sitting alone on the rocks.
“He’s very mature,” you agreed, but you didn’t allow yourself to say any more than that.
“It just makes his determination to find Blackbeard that much more admirable,” Vivi piped in.
You hadn’t heard of that name before. “Blackbeard?”
Nami and Vivi both looked at you with surprise. “You don’t know?” Nami questioned. “Blackbeard was a crewmate of Ace’s. He killed another member of the Whitebeard Pirates and fled, and now Ace is chasing after him. He’s going to kill Blackbeard to get justice for his fallen crewmate.”
Justice. Murdering another person to get revenge. That was Ace’s form of justice. It left you with conflicted feelings. You knew that the government wouldn’t worry about one pirate's life; Ace’s crew member probably had a bounty on his head that proved the government didn’t care about him. If the government wasn’t going to help Ace or Whitebeard, it made sense to take the burden upon himself. Just like how Vivi did with her country.
Vivi and Nami continued in their conversation, but you were too caught up in your own thoughts about justice and morality to listen. You were lost in your own world of defining justice versus crime until Luffy started screaming about flying meat and took off running off across the stonecrop. Ace took off as well, in a different direction than his brother, and the rest of the crew took note to pack up and follow.
You found Ace cornering two children. They appeared to be cowering, scared for their lives. You couldn’t blame them; you remember being intimidated by Ace more than the entire Strawhat Crew when you first met him just a few days ago.
“Please, you have to help us find this man!” The eldest boy held up a picture, and Ace bent down to look at it.
“Yeah, I’ll help you,” Ace said casually. “I’m looking for him anyway.”
“You know him?” You glanced over his shoulder, peering down at the picture.
“Yeah, that’s Scorpion.” Ace stood, scanning the horizon. “Apparently, he’s the one who caught Blackbeard.”
You raised your eyebrow in response. It didn’t seem very likely that a man like that could catch a member of the Whitebeard Pirates.
“That guy caught Blackbeard?” Ussop said, and you’re grateful that someone else voiced your inner thoughts. Ace didn’t say anything. He was scanning the horizon, waiting for something or someone to appear.
“Two people, and a bird,” Ace muttered under his breath. You heard something coming towards you as well, but not as exact as what the flame user has described. You tilt your - Ace’s - hat up, trying to get a better view of what is coming over the horizon.
A man appeared on an ostrich, challenging Ace to a battle. Scorpion. He looked even more unimpressive in the flesh.
“Oi, Aceeee!” Luffy’s voice emerged from behind the man, and he jumped off the ostrich as it began to run towards Fire Fist. “Don’t hold any punches!”
“Like I would do that!” Ace hollered back, but you can tell his fighting style is reserved against the old man. He is holding back, playing a more defensive role than an attacking one. He’s preserving the man’s dignity while protecting himself. Not that it would matter if he did get hit. You knew that Ace was a logia type, and the weapons this man possessed weren’t capable of piercing through his flame body.
After a few pitiful attacks, Scorpion fell into a sand pit, making it impossible for him to attack. You knew the fight was over, and you waited for Ace to make a final blow. But it never came. Instead, Portgas D. Ace granted mercy to the man who tried to kill him. You hated to admit that you were surprised. You kept waiting for the other shoe to drop on this man. You kept waiting to see the reason he had a 550 million berry bounty, but it just never came.
“Sorry,” Ussop sighed, looking at Scorpion at the bottom of the sand pit. “But you never stood a chance.”
You found yourself agreeing with the long-nosed Strawhat. In fact, you weren’t sure if anyone on the first half of the Grand Line stood a chance against Fire Fist Ace.
After the encounter with Scorpion and the boys, Ace pulled you aside from the group.
“So.” He picked the hat off your head and placed it back on his own. “Have you thought about your answer?”
You’re too stunned to reply. You had thought you were going to have more time to think about it. “You’re leaving?”
“Blackbeard isn’t here.” He shrugged. “No reason for me to stay.”
“Crocodile?”
Ace laughed at your concern. “Luffy’s got it, you don’t have to worry about him.”
You found yourself surprised at how casual Ace was being with his brother in the face of such daunting circumstances. Going up against a warlord was no easy feat, but both Luffy and Ace didn’t seem bothered by the challenges either of them would have to face in the near future. You hated how admirable their personalities were.
“I’ll do it,” you finally said. You wished you could deny his request, but after the past few days with the Strawhats, you have to say yes. “I’ll protect him. When I can.”
Ace's eyes lit up, and he tilted his hat towards you in appreciation. “Thank you, Miss Marine.”
He left you, and headed for the Strawhats to say his goodbyes. You stood outside of earshot, letting them have their private moment. You didn’t want to hear what kind of information they were exchanging anyway. You were already going to have a hard enough time lying on your report as is, you didn’t need more things to add to it. You did manage to hear one thing that Ace said, though. “Next time we meet, we’ll both be top pirates!” You found yourself hopeful that he’s right.
Ace appeared next to your side as the Strawhats said goodbye to Scorpion and his children.
“Are you coming with me? I can take you back to Nanohana to meet up with the Navy, if you’d like.”
You considered it for a moment. You’d been gone for a while now, and you were sure Smoker was starting to get concerned. Any other Marine probably would’ve taken the pirate up on his offer. No-any other Marine probably would’ve died long ago.
“No thanks. I’ll stick with the Strawhats for now.”
Ace smirked at you, like he knew something you didn’t. “See you soon, Miss Marine.”
“I sure hope not.” And just like the sun that’s setting behind you, he’s gone in an instant.

I said that I was going to post a fanfic but never did, so here it is.
See you after class.
I'm sorry if this turns out bad or if there is mistakes. This is the first fanfic I have ever made. This is a collage au. The first part is a little slow but it picks up later on. I usually write horror stories not romance, but I'll try my hardest!
Usopp pov:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I always set my alarm early to paint. My recent work was of a vase with dead flowers because Luffy didn't take care of them. We would sometimes buy flowers. I wasn't particularly good at gardening but I still liked it. My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of Luffy snoring.
"Luffy get up your going to miss school!"
The boy lay there unmoved.
      "Lazy jerk." I mumbled.
Then an idea shook through my head.
"If don't you get up I'll eat breakfast without you!" I shouted.
This got Luffy's attention, he darted around the room, getting ready left and right. Eventually he stopped in front of me.
"Usopp I'm hungry give me meat!" He wined.
"How about we go out somewhere today?" I said.
"Ooh how about we go to where Sanji works!" Luffy stated.
"Sure I'll finally get to meet this Sanji guy." I laughed.
Time skip to the diner.
Usopp pov:
We finally arrived at the diner only to be greeted by Zoro and Chopper. They seemed to be deep in conversation.
"Hi Zoro!" Luffy said happily. Zoro turned slightly. Chopper on the other hand turned really fast. Chopper looked really red. What were these two doing?
"Oh hi Luffy. Zoro said bored.
"Don't forget about the great and mighty Usopp!" I exaggerated. Chopper waved slightly while Zoro didn't seem to care. How rude.
"Law and Nami are inside waiting, come on." Zoro said.
"Really tra-guy is here!" Luffy shouted.
Luffy darted inside.
"Well I'll leave you two to talk." I stated.
Note: Chopper is a human in this au. I read a cute fanfic that had Zoro x Chopper. I won't add the ship if people don't like it.
Time skip they are seated at a table.
Usopp pov:
I was seated next to Nami and Law. Being trapped in between people sucked. I sat there on my phone as to drown out my anxiety. When a tall boy with blond hair walked up. He had peculiar twirly eyebrows. A fancy black suit. He holds the menus with soft warm looking hands. I couldn't help but stare at the boy. Is he this Sanji guy?
"Hello Luffy, Law, and of course my Nami swaaan!" The man stated while placing the menus down. When he mentioned Nami he seemed to turn into a human noodle. Did this guy even notice me?
"Sanji remember when I wanted you to meet Usopp well here he is!" Luffy said while pointing at me. Sanji's eyes turned to look at me.
Sanji pov:
I stared at the boy between Nami and Law. He looked uncomfortable and worried. I noticed the long fuzzy hair tied back into a ponytail. His skin was dark and smooth. He has an oddly long nose. The clothing he adorned was a pair of tight shorts and a baggy shirt. He has a big brown bag with art supplies hanging out. I notice a cute little keychain.
"Nice keychain what is it?" I asked.
"Oh um.. It's our school mascot..Sniper king." Usopp nervously said.
"That reminds me Sanji said he was joining our school" Law stated. Everyone was shocked. Why did no one tell me?
"Law why didn't you tell us we said no more secrets remember." Luffy wined. I felt bad for Law he had to be told to follow rules because for Luffy of all people. Somehow Law didn't mind.
"Yeah I'll see you guys I'll see you all at school tomorrow. I can't wait to be with my Nami swaaan!"
Time skip to school.
Usopp pov:
I dashed through the halls. Eating at a restaurant made me late. While running I spotted only a few people still by the lockers. The typical make out couple, the people getting bullied, and of course the bad kids. I made sure to grab my stuff quickly. I have science first hour. My teacher Ivankov is going to be ticked if I'm late. I grab my stuff quickly. Kuma one of the seven student counsel leaders came up to me.
"I can transport you to class if you like."
Kuma liked to make sure everyone gets to class on time. He's a little bit of a good kid unlike most other student counsel members.
"Uh..sure Ivankov is going to kill me if I'm late. I say awkwardly. Kuma uses his devil fruit power to send me to class.
Note: Yes devil fruits exist in this world. So does haki. Also I thought the seven warlords as student counsel members was hilarious.
Time skip to after school.
Usopp pov:
I saw Luffy on my way to theater club. He was leaning against a locker not too far away from Law. Man those two have gotten close lately. I started to approach them.
"Hey Luffy I have theater club today are you taking the bus back to the dorm?" I asked.
"I'm staying with Tra-guy! Isn't that cool!" Luffy replied. I was surprised Luffy got Law to agree.
"Okay well I'll see you at school tomorrow then." I laughed. I bet I seemed happy to Luffy because he just smiled and waved, while I walked away. In reality I was upset. I hate being alone, I can never sleep. I started to pick up pace how could Luffy leave me alone? Nevermind I already knew the answer, he is extremely dense. At least theater club would take my mind off of things. Speaking of which I spotted the auditorium doors. I walked in only the club leader looked up. The boy walked over he was super tall. His pink coat covering most of his body. This was Dolflamimgo, one of the seven students counsel members and the leader of the theater club. Sadly he and Brook are the only ones that talk to me in the whole club.
"Are you ready for drama, action, and a new era of theater! He shouted. I sat down on the ground next to Brook and wait for the club activities to start while completely ignoring Dolflamimgo.
Time skip to parking lot.
Usopp pov:
School clubs have ended so the halls are crowded again. I walk fast so I don't get to close to anyone. Until a girl bumps into me knocking something out of her hands. The girl has long black hair and shining blue eyes. She leans down to pick up what she dropped. I lean down to help.
"Why are you helping me I'm the one who bumped into you?" She asked.
"I the mighty Usopp decided to help you that's why." I exaggerated.
"Well that is very kind of you Usopp. My name is Robin and I wouldn't hang around me if I was you. I'm called a monster for a reason. Robin said kindly. Suddenly a string of arms lifted the pot of flowers off the ground. I was shocked I have never seem a devil fruit like this before.
"Cool devil fruit, I admit I am a little scared but to assume you're a monster is just plain rude. I also couldn't help but notice the flowers. Do you like flowers?" I asked.
"Thank you your words are very kind and yes I do like flowers after all I'm in the gardening club." Robin said.
"Usopp would you get to moving we're trying to leave school!" Nami shouted. I turned. Nami was behind me with a girl at her side. I started to recognize the girl it was Vivi one of the cheerleaders and Nami's girlfriend.
"Oh hi Robin sorry for yelling." Nami added. Robin smiled, she didn't seem to care. We all ended up walking out together.
"Where are you all going if you're not busy you should come to Ace's party" Vivi asked.
"I'd like to go to this party it sounds fun" Robin laughed.
"You know I'm not good at party's." I said.
"Don't be such a bore Usopp, Vivi asked so your going!" Nami retorted. When Nami wants you to do something you have to do it.
      "Fine I'll go." I replied.
"Good we'll see you at eight." Nami said. I spotted my car.
"I'll see you at the party bye!" I shouted as I ran to my car.
Note: I hope you liked it also the story isn't over. If people seem to like it I'll make more. Also yes I am working on a part 2.

Warning: The characters will mostly be ooc and for the most part will not have the same background as in the anime/manga. The reader’s age will be above consent; the exact number is up to you.
Disclaimer: These stories are based ‘loosely’ on the game Obey me shall we date. The major stuff will be the same, but here and there the story will be changed or embellished. It is just an AU and I do not own the game the characters, from both One Piece or Obey Me, nor do I own One Piece in general. It would be cool though…
Time is a Delicate Thing
Devildom!AU
(pt16/?)
Various Characters X Reader
When you first arrived to the past you stumbled out of Kid’s closet, quickly taking cover from the five demon brothers you’d seen in the room on your way down to the floor. They were talking about earlier this day when they decided to disappear into a fake game as a ploy to get you to have a one-on-one with Sabo.
It felt weird being back in time. Not in a physical sense, it was more mentally. Knowing that you weren’t in your original time, crouching down behind an unfinished project as you listen in on a conversation you would have never heard if it wasn’t for what happened later on this day.
You ducked around the room from one place to another as they moved, attempting to avoid detection. Eventually, though, the owner of the room did find you, releasing a loud and ‘you will totally not mention this again’ screech. “What are you doing here, Y/n? You’re supposed to be with Sabo right now!” Shocked by your sudden appearance, they wondered how they could have been so careless. Maybe you had seen one of them slip away? Ace, probably? He was the last one to disappear before you were left alone with Sabo.
You eagerly agreed with their theory, encouraging them to let you go through with their plan. “It’s the perfect opportunity to have a talk with Sabo.” You said, already rushing out of the room to go ‘find Sabo’.
Out in the hallway, you still couldn’t get away from the troublesome past. Two voices made their way down the hall. It was the past you and Sabo’s, both of you were discussing the brothers’ disappearances. Giving an exasperated sigh, you ran down the hall to get away from your past self and Sabo.
Your thoughts bounced around as you tried to think of a room you two didn’t go near earlier that day. Practically flying up the stairs to the third floor until you made an abrupt stop in front of a door you couldn’t quite remember ever seeing. With no time to think, you rushed into the room as your past self walked up the stairs.
On the other side of the unknown door, there was a room you seemed to recognize faintly. It was an inkling of a memory only, though. You hadn’t been in here before but there was a sense of familiarity wrapping itself around you making you feel at home.
A knock on the door startled you from your serened state. The person from the other end didn’t even give you the chance to collect yourself before barging in. “I knew I’d find you here.” It was Law who’d come in, looking relieved to find you. “Isn’t Zoro with you? He said he was coming over. Maybe he got lost along the way?” That was weird. If this was the past, then why would Zoro be outside the attic? A pit was growing in your stomach, something feels off about this time. It’s like it wasn’t you he was speaking to, but he seemed to notice you just fine. There was no mistake in what he said. You’ve met Zoro in this time, but it wasn’t your memory. It didn’t even feel like you were in your own body; just a disembodied being floating right above where you should have been standing.
Law declared he’d help you find Zoro and left the room, not sparing your stunned, immobile body a second glance.
You willed your out of body experience to end by moving your weighed down legs to take a step. It felt like trying to pull yourself out of quicksand. The seconds it took for you to reach the open door felt like hours, but alas you reached the entryway, quickly closing it behind you as you exited the out of body room and returned inside your own. You looked around the hall you stood in, cod sweat beading on your forehead. You had no other clues to find Zoro in this warped time; but if he was running loose around one of these memories the attic was the safest bet to the time you were trying to find.
An argument spilled down the staircase that leads to the attic, echoing in the vacant hall. Curiously, you eavesdropped into the argument, which sounded like Sabo and Zoro going back and forth about the former’s imprisonment. Zoro shouted at Sabo about how he'd changed. About how the old him would have never been as pathetic as to let someone control him like this.
Sabo paid him no mid, throwing a comment about how he’d changed too over his shoulder as he came down the stairs. You dashed towards the spandrel to hide from him, sneaking up the stairs after you thought it safe to come out.
Zoro called out from the room he was locked in, pleaded for sabo to reconsider what he was doing before falling silent. When you neared the door he was no longer right beside it, rather splayed out on the bed taking a nap. Was this a different time? The one you were looking for, you hoped.
You touched the bars that acted as a door, caging the room. The magic Sabo used on them wasn’t as strong as you remember, it just gave away with one small push...Was it you who opened the door when Zoro was released? That can’t be right, you only had five pacts. Had you missed the culprit you were looking for? Or was it really just a mistake Sabo had made?
You walked over to him, waking up a very confused Zoro. He asked how you got in here, but then he saw the opened door and stopped himself from further questioning you... He’s... free
HE’S FREE!
“You did it! You actually did it,” Zoro shot up from the bed, barreling to meet you by the door with a plastered smile, “I didn’t think a weak human could pull it off, but you actually...” He suspired, making a spall pin in excitement.
How ironic, to be saved by the one thing he wanted to destroy. “Sabo and Shanks could have never imagined THIS would happen. “I can now go and achieve what I set out to do, thank you for this.” Zoro opened his arms, a dark tint forming in his eyes. “Here, let me show you how grateful I am.” You backed away from him, not liking the way he was looking at you. It was maniacal, a stare full of hatred and elation.
“It’s rude to not accept someone’s gratitude, Y/n.” He spat his words out like venom. Horns sprouted from his head as a ruthless air came round him, just like his hands did around your neck. Your face was painted in terror as you clawed at his hands, only succeeding in making his grip tighten on you. Your head buzzed from the dual force of his hold and the smothering pressure from his emanating power.
“AhaHahAHa you should see your face right now! It’s so,” Zoro pulled you up to your tiptoes so you were leveled with him, “Pathetic.” Your neck strained as it tried to keep the weight of your body from snapping it in half. “Don’t blame me for tricking you, blame yourself for being so foolish.” Your hands went slack beside you. Your body didn’t have enough strength to keep resisting the cold, static-like feeling that was overtaking you, drowning out his voice. “But don’t worry, I won’t kill you. I want you to see the destruction of your world.” He squeezed your neck harder, eyes filled with glee that turned sour with his last words to you. “But if you get in my way, I’ll make sure to leave your body unrecognizable.” Zoro dropped you on the floor, not caring to stick back and see if he’d actually left you half-alive.
-
There it was again, the out of body feeling from before. Except this time you couldn’t see anything anywhere. You couldn’t even see yourself. You were just an out of body spirit that floated in complete nothingness. It would have been more comforting if where you were at had a discernible color; a pure black of death or a brilliant and blinding white of afterlife, but there was nothing. You couldn’t make out what it was supposed to be, it just WAS. It existed without existing. It was nothingness, but it enveloped you like it was everything. You couldn’t even say that it was blank or empty because the words entailed that there could be a something in this nothingness. You weren’t even here, yet your disembodied existence floated in and was what surrounded you. This place was a juxtaposition and a contradiction on its own.
Before you could give yourself a migraine by thinking about this, a voice called out to you. There was someone else here. But they weren’t here, there was no here. It was just the void, it was just you.
“Y/n,” the voice calls out again, “you have to wake up and help them, please.” You can’t even turn to try and look for the person; you already had an eagle’s eye view to the vastless nothing in all directions. “Who are you- where are we?”
“Don’t worry about that. Just know that my name is Kuina, and I’m worried about my brothers, especially Zoro.” The voice was familiar, but in a way that you would never be able to guess. “After my death, I remembered who I was. I forgot my way back to the Celestial Realm, but luckily I was able to stay with them.” Her voice grew quiet and melancholic, “watched over them… but now Zoro is being hot-headed again. Y/n,” she pleaded, “help them, please.”
You must have really had a streak of stupidity because you could just agree. There was something that drew you to her; made her feel like an old trusted friend. Even after what Zoro did to you, what he is going to do to Earth… You still agreed, for her. “...Okay... but first, why me?”
“That’s because you’re my-” she was getting cut off as you started to regain consciousness. “That’s why-” a sliver of color appeared and disappeared before you. “So please, if y-” Blurry light plagued your vision; finally cutting her off completely.
You laid on the floor, a headache threatening to make your head explode. Gathering yourself with a few deep breaths, you forced yourself to look for the danger that your body wanted to ignore.
You found it in the form of arguing. Walking closer, you saw a gory sight that you wished would have never been ingrained in your memories. Kid sat on the floor, a bloody mess in front of him and the others circling around him.
“Y/n, stay with me!” Kid shouted over the others, holding on to your cracked skull that threatened to spill your brain. The hit past you had taken was too hard, there was no way you could have survived that, yet a trembling hand slowly came up just to fall back down
Zoro laughed at the weak display, unaware that who he’d left battered and broken wasn’t the you he had talked to up in the attic. “Zoro, how could you do this?!” Luffy yelled at him with balled fists at his side, he didn’t know how to feel right now. Zoro was in the human realm and suddenly he’s just here and he’s hurt you.
The real you still stood atop the stairs, watching in on their woe. You should leave, you needed to. Benn said that you shouldn’t be seen, and yet that’s all you’ve done since you got here… But you couldn’t just leave them to suffer like this. Kid and Luffy were freaking out, Law and Sanji were screaming at everything they could, and Ace and Sabo looked like they were gonna explode!
You carefully went down the stairs so as to not startle them in their ongoing clamor. On the last step, you could finally get the full view of your beaten and bruised body. A milky white bone protruding from your arm, dripping with your blood. Your skull bashed in on one side with only Kid’s hand as a bandage to hold it in place. A leg bent in too many different angles for it to be normal. Labored and gurgled breathing wheezed out of your blood filled throat. The gory sight had you stunned in place.
The brothers’ loud gasps were what brought you back from your disassociated state. “Huh?! What’s going on?” Law looked at you flabbergasted, “how can this be?” Everyone was just as confused, giving their own variations of surprise.
“You were supposed to be dead!” Zoro lunged at you.
“No, wait! Kuina, she-”
“Don’t you dare say her name, human! You don’t have the right!” He shoved you down. “She-” you spluttered out blood, “ li-ived happily as a human!” You put your hands up, bracing for his next blow but it never came. “What.. what do you mean?”
You explained to them all that you had heard from the other Sabo. Kuina’s death, his pledge of loyalty, why he had to lock Zoro in the attic until things blew over. Your ‘’far fetched story only seemed more real when the past you disappeared in Kid’s arms.
“They uh… they can’t…Sabo?” They all looked at their big brother for guidance. It was like watching little kids look at their parent, hoping they’d provide clarity for their uncertainty. “... It’s true, what they said,” Sabo hesitantly confirmed, “How do you know that?”
“Kuina, she-”
“Don’t lie to me! There’s no way she could have,” His confusion was making his words bite, “Who are you really?”
“I can answer that.” You all turn to see Shanks entering the house with Benn in tow. “What they say isn’t a lie.” Shanks gestures at Benn, “I had his look into Y/n ancestry because something wasn’t adding up.”
“It appears that Y/n is a descendant of Kuina’s.”
That part did catch you off guard. Was that what she wanted to tell you when you asked why’d she picked you when you were passed out? A sharp pain made you grab at your head almost like Kid did with your dying body earlier. The throbbing increased until your eyes rolled back and you could see a vision. A time long passed, a memory that belonged to someone else. A promise etched itself into your brain. “No matter how far apart we may be, or how much time passes, even if you don’t remember who you are someday. I will never forget you. I hope you find happiness in your new life. I love you Kuina.” Aline of blood leaked out of your nose as you came back to your senses.
“Those words…. They were the last thing I told Kuina before she was taken away…. How do you know them?” Sabo was once again shocked into silence.
Shanks filled in the missing pieces. Kuina was an angel before being turned into a human, some of her powers must have stayed. A residue of them must have passed down from generation to generation until they got to you. With the limited power Kuina still had, she must have passed on some of her memories to you.
“... Kuina…” Sabo was taking in everything he’d heard. “Kuina...!” He rushed at you, enveloping you in a hug, the others soon doing the same.
Zoro stood back, not wanting to believe what he’d heard. It can’t be. It was too good to be true. He could believe that Kuina was reborn as a human but you, who so happens to be her descendant, manages to get chosen for the exchange program. It just….
“Kuina…” no matter how much he wanted to say it wasn’t true, deep down he wanted to believe too. That his sister lived as happily as they said she did. That she somehow managed to hold on until she made it back to them. “...Kuina” He lowered his heartbroken and guilt-ridden face. He didn’t want to look at you after what he’d done.
“Zoro, it’s okay,” you pulled yourself away from the embraces of the brothers. “It’s not. It’s my fault. If I hadn’t been so interested in humans, Kuina would have never-” a knot caught itself in the back of his throat.
“...Zoro… I didn’t know you felt that way…” Sabo neared him, “it wasn’t your fault. I wish I’d told you that sooner.” Those were the exact words Zoro needed to hear. After all these years, all the guilt that ate away at him.
He raised his head, finally ready to look you both in the eye, a tired smile spreading on his face. He feels a little bit lighter than he did before. “Thank you.”

Zoro hates the hospital.
He has a lot of respect for the people who work there, for the efficient pace of the nurses and staff, but he doesn’t think he’ll ever forget the endless night he and his family spent camped in the waiting room. He dreams of it sometimes.
The lights, the smell, the sterile emptiness of the waiting room, the third shift receptionist who laughed on the phone as if she didn’t know or didn’t care that the world seemed to be ending. The chairs were uncomfortable and Nami had curled up in one with her head on Usopp’s shoulder, their clasped hands shaking. Robin sat perched on the edge of a bench seat like her namesake, ready at any moment to leap into flight. Sanji had gone without a smoke for longer than Zoro had ever seen, unable to tear himself away long enough to step outside even as the nicotine withdrawal began to make his fingers itch. Chopper was tiny where he huddled against Franky’s side, tucked safely beneath a broad, tattooed arm. Brook was still hours away, but he was on the first flight back; his cancelled tour made headlines.
Zoro only has to close his eyes and he can see it all, as if it only happened moments ago. As if he’s still there, trapped in that waiting room, more helpless than he’s ever been.
When Kuina died, it was instant. Zoro was informed of his friend’s fate and dressed for her funeral in just about the same breath. There was no purgatory in the form of white walls and outdated magazines and bitter-tasting coffee. He was so young at the time, and it was so long ago, but he remembers how badly it hurt.
The waiting– the not knowing– somehow hurt just as much.
But when Luffy runs ahead, pushing through the revolving door and spilling into the atrium with all the decorum of a storm at sea, Zoro ignores the lead pit in his stomach and follows right behind him.
Shachi is behind the reception desk, a phone tucked between his ear and his shoulder as his fingers fly across a computer keyboard. He looks up when they come in and grins to see them, waving them right on through. Luffy’s sandals smack loudly against the tile floor, and he’s waving his hands as he talks, and he looks like any other person here to visit someone they love.
But normally he wouldn’t walk so close to Zoro that their shoulders bump with every step. And he doesn’t quite make eye contact with anyone else. By the time they make it to a specific office and find it empty, his boisterous energy takes a subtle turn towards manic.
“Oh,” he says. “I guess he’s not here.”
Luffy’s bright smile fades and then goes fixed, and Zoro takes it personally. He turns and eyes the fire door directly across the hall. It’s the quickest out, and he’d do a lot worse than set off some emergency alarms in a hospital for his friend.
As if summoned by the potential disaster, Penny sticks his head around the corner.
“Hey, I thought I heard you guys!” he says cheerfully. He inserts himself bodily between Zoro and the fire door in a daring maneuver reminiscent of a man getting in the way of a hungry tiger and the injured elk it was stalking. “If you’re looking for our fearless leader, he’s in the lounge. Follow me.”
They fall into step together, but Luffy is still so close to Zoro he’s practically underfoot. To his credit, Penny doesn’t mention it. His stupid penguin hat clashes with his scrubs, as usual, and he keeps up a lively one-sided conversation for the whole four-minute journey to the physician’s lounge.
He doesn’t bother knocking, simply pushing the door open and ushering them inside with a yell of “Guests!”
The two figures at the table look up, take in Luffy and Zoro’s sudden appearance, and then sort of leap to their feet. The tension blows out of Luffy like an autumn breeze, and he’s laughing as Bepo rounds the table to enfold him in a bear hug.
“It’s been ages since you came to visit! Penguin, you should have warned me they were coming, I would have made fresh coffee!”
“I didn’t know they were here until like three seconds ago,” Penny contests hotly.
Ignoring him, Bepo says, “Are the two of you staying for lunch? I can run to the cafeteria for something.”
“No,” Law says abruptly, “we’ll go out. I need a break.”
These are big words from the head surgeon, who has been known to go days without leaving the hospital and has been quoted saying “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” Shachi has told stories about the staff resorting to bribery, coercion, and outright blackmail to convince their boss to rest for ten minutes on the fold-out cot in his office. Even now, in the lounge, he was obviously working through stacks of medical paperwork next to a plate of something probably meant for his lunch long gone cold.
Law clocking out for a break of his own free will was similar to Sanji announcing he’s brought home McDonald’s for dinner because he didn’t feel like cooking– a clear disruption in the fabric of the universe– but Bepo and Penny don’t miss a beat.
“Oh, of course! I’ll tell Shachi to clear your afternoon.”
“Bring us back something tasty!”
Zoro hates the hospital, but that doesn’t extend to the people who work here. They each, to a man, labored tirelessly for Luffy, made themselves available for his frightened family, and even now continue to care about him past what their job description demands. Law shrugs on a jacket and steers Luffy out into the hall.
“I could have met you in the parking lot,” Law says at length. His expression  gives nothing away, but the quick pace he sets does. “Call ahead next time.”
“Nah, it’s more fun when it’s a surprise,” Luffy says blithely. Law’s silence conveys succinctly that he really doesn’t care about what Luffy thinks is fun. Luffy, who only wields unsettling perception when it suits him, decides to be oblivious today. “Let’s go to the Baratie!”
His brother died in this hospital. Luffy, who was in surgery for eleven hours and then unconscious for the next three days, didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. And Zoro thinks again of the day he learned Kuina died; waking up one morning only to be told that while he was asleep, the world as he knew it had changed, and something was missing from it now that he could never get back.
It hurts; Zoro knows how much it hurts.
But Luffy grins as they step outside, stretching his arms out wide as though he’s ready to catch the sky should it come tumbling down, and seems determined not to let it. He’s friends with the man who saved his life. He clings to the memory of his brother, but only so he can bring Ace with him into the light of every new day.
“Take care of him for me.”
Watch us, Zoro thinks, following Luffy. Wherever you are, watch.

Not long after leaving Fishman Island, the Strawhats reached a small island. A quiet peaceful island. The very first island without any sort of conflict going on. As awed as they were, they took this chance to rest, get to explore the dense forest and get enough supplies for their trip deeper into the New World.
"Two days" answered an elder lady after Nami asked her how long would take the log pose to charge.
Two days was the perfect time for a decent rest.
It was fate what pulled you towards the newcomers. And soon you found yourself telling the pirates about the island. And being the warm welcoming people the Strawhats were, they invited you to the small campfire they were having that night at the beach close to the Thousand Sunny.
Moved by their friendly ways, you agreed. A few townspeople were there too, all of them chatting with the Strawhwats, hearing to their endless marvelous adventures and stories. And as the moon made its way across the nightsky, people left little by little, back to their homes for a good night sleep.
Except for you. You were so immersed into your conversation with the captain and the first mate, the two of them being a considerably weird dynamic duo. Until eventually, you fell asleep just like the crew. The remnants of what was once a blazing fire were still warm enough to keep the surroundings warm. Cooing you just perfectly.
The kind of deep sleep you were having was the kind of sleep that made you feel far beyond refreshed by the morning, waking up with the energy to sail around the world without a single drop of sweat. However, something woke you up. Among the soft snores of the pirates, there was yet another sound that woke you up. A gentle almost audible whimper.  You followed the whimper until you reached Strawhat Luffy, and noticed the tears falling from his closed eyes.
For the last two years, every now and then Luffy would have nightmares, reliving over and over Ace's death. And the pain of having lost both his brothers made him feel lonely at times. However, no one in the crew knew about this, no one knew about how most nights their captain had a terrible night. Luffy never told anyone about his nightmares. No one was aware of it until now.
"Luffy" you whispered kneeling next to him and shaking him lightly, however, there was no response “Luffy”
After calling his name a few times, he finally snapped his eyes open and looked confused at the night sky.
"(Name)" he whispered cleaning his tears right away.
"Are you alright? You were having a nightmare" you murmured worried.
"Y-yeah..." he lied sitting up. "I-I'm fine. It was just a dream" as much as he smiled, you could still see the pain clinging to him.
"You don't seem very convinced, are you sure you’re alright?" You added and sat on the sand into a more comfortable position as Luffy simply remained quiet "Here" you opened your arms, to which Luffy quickly responded to and hugged you.
After you wrapped your arms around him, he understood this was all he needed. Who’d say how a couple of arms holding you tightly could soothe just a piercing pain right away? Feeling your arms wrapped around him made him feel some sort of comfort he hadn't felt in a while. And the sudden realization overwhelmed him and he started sobbing once again. His face hidden your shoulders, he clung to your embrace as he sobbed quietly.
"It's okay" you whispered hugging him even tighter. "Its okay. Everything will be fine" you purred, your voice gently caressing the open wound Ace left behind, encouraging him to sob slightly louder.
He didn’t take long before he fell asleep in your arms. His breathing had now slowed down and got deeper. He no longer was shaking from the sobbing, and his body was relaxed against yours. You called his name, in an attempt to know whether he was asleep or not. And after no receiving any sign or answer, you assumed he was asleep.
Thinking of the not so comfortable position the two of you were, you decided to put him back on the ground. Gently, you put him on the sand next to his iconic straw hat. Such a wide smile, and yet, he’s haunted at night by something horrible, you thought, what could be causing him so much pain?
You stared at him for a couple of seconds and before you were able to stand up, you felt something tugging your shirt. You turned around to find Luffy his eyes still closed.
"(Name)?" He purred. "Would you sleep next to me?" He opened his eyes a little. A tiny trace of fear showing up within them, as you understood he was afraid of having nightmares again.
With a painful heart squeeze, you nodded and lied next to him. No words were needed in that moment. He snuggled next to you like a scared kitten as you protectively cuddled him, stroking his hair. He mumbled something with his face buried underneath your jaw, something you interpreted as a ‘thank you’. Your fingers ran through his hair, massaging his scalp, as the most peculiar warmth ran through your body. A sudden urge to protect him from any danger within the world fueled, as you thought how one of the most wanted criminals by the World Government snuggled vulnerable next to you.
"It's alright. I got you" you murmured, feeling him nod, his face buried on your neck.
The next morning, all of the Strawhats felt rather confused when they found the two of you cuddling. Luffy wasn't a flirty guy, and last night you didn't seem to flirt to anyone in the crew. And seeing the two of you cuddled up in a messy limb tangle surprised all of them. Not that they really cared, but they’d never seen this sort of behaviour from his spontaneous captain.
After waking up, Luffy was once again his usual self. However, he remained close to you throughout the day. As you kept talking to them, you got to know a little bit better the infamous Strawhat Pirates and feeling quite charmed by each and everyone of them. As the Strawhats got to better appreciate your gentle and open personality, understanding why would Luffy feel so drawn to you.
That night, Sanji made dinner in the Sunny, and invited you to tag along. The usual cheerful and yet chaotic atmosphere filled the kitchen. Everyone was laughing and talking, making you wonder why would the Marines consider them such a threat. They all seemed pretty funny and chill in their own unique way.
After everyone had finished eating, Luffy grabbed your hand and pulled you with him outside the kitchen. With his usual warm smile, he showed you around, all the wonders the Thousand Sunny had to offer, only to fuel your curiosity for the crew and how it was like to travel with them. Eventually, you sat with the captain on the deck, as your hands played with the grass.
"(Name)" you met Luffy's eyes as his smile was now shining brighter than any star in the sky. "I want you to join my crew!" He cheered.
You blinked several times, processing what he'd just told you.
"B-but, I'm not a pirate...I-I..." Were the only words your brain got to come up with and the excitement now fueling your heart urged you to say yes.
"You're kind! And everyone likes you! Besides, you're a hunter right? You know how to use knives and use a bow and arrow"
"I mean yes...I don't know if I'm strong enough, though. You guys have quite a reputation..."
"You can always train with Zoro if you want to get stronger! Ussop is our sniper, you can train with him too!"
A sudden urge for adventure, and Luffy’s wide smile seemed to make your head spin, and hypnotize you. Except for a tiny voice at the back of your head telling you to really think about it instead of just going with your first instinct. After all, Piracy was far more complicated than just sailing the seas.
"Think about it! We'll be leaving tomorrow" Luffy said bumping his forehead with yours. “I’d really like to have you in the crew!”
You closed your eyes, sighing deeply. His close proximity only made your heart beat faster, as the tiny voice seemed to get louder. "Alright” You began “I will think about it, though...I'll tell you my answer tomorrow, alright?" As you spoke, Luffy sat back, his huge eyes on yours with a hopeful spark behind them.
"Shishishishi" Luffy giggled. "You're gonna say yes!"
~
The amount of time Luffy clung to you like a koala only seemed to increase with the days. Not that you complained about it. As a matter of fact, his constant presence was beginning to feel like a drug. Ever since you’d joined the Strawhat crew, Luffy seemed to always want you by his side.
Up to this point, everyone knew you liked each other, the constant knowing looks made you blush constantly, and having Luffy close to you most of the time only made it worse. Your feelings for him were so obvious to everyone except for Luffy himself, who wasn't even aware of his own feelings for you.
In luffy's eyes, you were his closest friend, and he loved hugging you, and was constantly with his arms wrapped around you. He eventually realised that he wouldn't have nightmares when he slept with you, which only encouraged him to spend almost every night with you. Whether of it was you falling asleep next to him in the guys quarters, or him in the girl's room.
And over time, it was not only hugs. Forehead and cheek kisses eventually became a thing. And soon, Luffy found this constant urge to kiss your cheek whenever he was hugging you. On the other hand, you’d always kiss his forehead or the top of his head whenever he snuggled next to you. The crew found unbearingly adorable, and at the same time they couldn’t believe Luffy was still not aware of his feelings for you, and everyone wanted to slap some sense into the captain Even with that, everyone already considered you a couple.
It was until one day, you got out of the shower into the girls room, already changed, and found Luffy on your bed contemplating the ceiling.
"Hey there" you broke the silence as Luffy looked at you and smiled widely sitting up.
"I discovered something" He cheered. “And I have to tell you about it!”
"What is it?" You asked curious walking to your bed, as Luffy jumped to the ground and grabbing your hand at once.
"Let's go outside first. It's nice and sunny out there!" He guided you to the Sunny’s head.
Not only Luffy’s spot, but whenever he just wanted to spend a bit of quiet time with you away from the rest of the crew he’d take you there and cuddle you for a couple of hours. Just the two of you, in silence, looking at the ocean.
"Robin said I should tell you about my feelings for you" He started so casually as your heart stopped for a brief second, amazed at his straight forwardness.
"She did?" You chuckled awkwardly, thinking how maybe she did that on purpose.
"While you were training with Zoro...she asked me if I had feelings for you” He began “and I didn't know what she meant by that. She started explaining me what it's like to have feelings for someone, and everything she said is exactly what I feel when I'm with you. She then told me that if I had feelings for you, I should tell you" As much as you tried to fight your blushing, it wasn’t until he said the last part that indeed, Robin had said that on purpose.
You stared at him feeling how your heart squeezed painfully from how adorable and oblivious Luffy was. He was talking about his feelings for you so casually, while you were struggling to even bring yourself to open your mouth. You felt yourself blush as not a single sound made it out of your mouth and you leaned forward and pecked his lips gently.
"Luffy, I-" you stuttered as you met his eyes, feeling your face turn hotter and hotter "I have feelings for you too"
Luffy’s smile grew wider across his face as he pulled you in, wrapping his arms around you, burying his face on your neck and breathing in the scent he adored so much.
"Does that make you my girlfriend?" He said breaking the hug.
"Do you want me to be your girlfriend?" You giggled.
Luffy chuckled and stole a gentle kiss from your lips, just like you’ve done before. He didn't know much about relationships but he knew people kissed their significant other on the lips. Conecting the two dots wasn’t hard for him, making him want to dance and sing filled with happiness.
"I want you to be my girlfriend" He said cupping your face in his hands and giving you the smile that always melted your heart.
"Then I will" you murmured, this time it was you burying your face on his neck as Luffy hummed in approval.
Luffy kissed your head before wrapping his arms around you once more and squeezing you. He thought about what Robin told him earlier, and thought it had been a good idea to tell you about his feelings. It surprised him that you felt the same for him. A warm feeling ran through his body making him feel genuinely happy.
From the deck, all the strawhats gathered close to the helm, all of them silent, hearing your conversation with Luffy, appreciating the scene. All of them with smiles on their faces, warmed by the sweet moment you two were having. Franky and Chopper sobbing, as Brook was murmuring something about composing a nice tune for the two of you, to which Sanji agreed and mentioned something about having a small feast to celebrate.
In the meantime, you were cuddling with Luffy on the Sunny’s head just like you’d always do. Smiles drawn on both of your faces. Luffy was always a very touchy person, and loved hugging those he cared for. Your hugs however, felt the warmest, the sweetest of all. He felt genuinely happy that he’d asked you to join his crew.
