I completely missed that a Mortasheen book was getting kickstarted! What's the best way to get updates on that? Is there some way to sign up for a bogleech.com news letter? I don't want to miss when it comes out

Oh it was kickstarted three years ago, but with the intention of coming out in only one year. A lot of stuff happened :( It's a tabletop RPG that's actually been in development by other folks for now a grand total of I think 15 years, with me just being the art and concept side. I was never really let in on 90% of that development or what caused it to go on that long but now I have enough stuff together that I should be able to get the book out for real in 2024, with the help of the remaining gameplay dev Morgan Mullins, a huge boost of additional development help from @gutsygills, and a dozen different artists I've paid to contribute.

Having sunk so much of my life into it, I won't make it at all possible for people to miss when it comes out. It's basically the thing I have to bank on as my main career for the foreseeable future, the first book is only intended as the start of a series of expansions, it'll have its own official website and get pitched to actual gaming stores. I've been really sweating to make it look as professional-ish as possible.

Like the core D&D books it will have to be fairly pricey, we're looking at 200-300 pages, but I'd also put out much cheaper digital versions, and maybe little skinny "monsters only" books for people who just want to look at those :)

The stats/abilities on these pages are already a little out of date, the gameplay system had some last minute updates following a lot of backer playtesting!

I dunno how many people reading this have maybe never heard of Mortasheen yet but it's a horror-comedy flavored homage to Pokemon and Digimon set in a world sort of like ours, thousands of years from now where there's goofy monsters and mutants and biotech while humans are very rare and endangered. Actually the setting most similar to it now is Adventure Time of all things, if it had a whole lot more body horror and no magic (but lots of biotechnology indistinguishable from it). But when development of this game began, Adventure Time was just that weird short pilot Nickelodeon passed up on. Now it will be coming out after Adventure Time had a finale, sequel movies and the first season of a followup series. It has literally taken more than an entire Adventure Time to get this done :( I did not mean for an answer to an ask to go on this long but it occurs to me as important information for my followers in general!!!

D&D anon here... I did mean "Dungenos & Dragons". Whoops. For clarification the Cleric is like a person who uses magic through holy parying and stuff (a "whiet mage" in JRPGs). It suited Morgen to me. And Barbarians (for the reader) are the ones to take a lot of hits and hit hard themselves.

So I'm finally here! So... I have no idea What dungeon and Dragons is before this. I did a little R&R and with some help from my mutuals, I learnt a thing or two. But there's really so many variations? Like different website would have different types of characters? I was really confused lmao.

But okay lemme summarise a little for the readers as well... so D&D is actually a game, where you have different characters and roles and they complete quests and battles as a team.. So anyway for this fic:

Morgen is the mage healer

Reader is barbarian fighter

"hey there, healer~ what's your name?" you asked.

"Morgen Faust." he shook your hand with a cheery smile. But he didn't ask your name back.

"haven't seen you around~" you tried to maintain the conversation with the raven haired man.

"I wasn't from this department." he maintained his smile.

"Let me guess, you're from the thief group previously?"

He nodded.

"why the switch?" you continued to ask, but he just chuckled to himself and shrugged.

What the hell? Is he some kind of introvert or what? But boy oh boy does he look good. sky blue eyes, long raven locks, pale clear skin. His mysterious aura seemed cool and you were intrigued to know more about him.

"Who goes there?!" you met a group of gnomes. Hostile Gnomes.

Morgen let out a small sigh, "why are gnomes always angry..."

You giggled at his joke.

The gnomes attacked all at once, and it was your duty as the fighter and the thank of the party to take hits and fight. Well, you were a raging bull and you never backed down from a fight since day one.

Morgen backed you up quietly, seeing that you were able to handle the gnomes pretty well.

A few gnomes were nothing to you, as they were defeated quickly and scurried away into the bushes, but you were a little beat up here and there.

"you're hurt." Morgen came up to you in the flash of a light.

"This nothin' but a scratch." you waved him off, "let's continue."

Morgen just stood still and healed you, despite your protests of you being fine.

"Are all fighters stubborn, aren't they?" he shook his head a little, "just like Yami."

You couldn't help but laugh, he was right, Yami was indeed unconcerned about his injures all the time.

Out of nowhere, an ambush attack came from behind both of you. There was no time to react so you wanted to stand forward to shield Morgen, but in one swift move, Morgen blasted the perpetrator into half.

Your mouth hung wide open, was this man the definition of perfection? Tall, handsome, powerful...

"Why didn't you tell me!!" you questioned your captain Julius when you came back to update him about the quest.

"tell you..?"

"about Morgen! the healer!"

"Tell you what about Morgen, exactly?" Julius was confused.

"That he's so strong and can fight well! I embarrassed myself in front of him!" you covered your cheeks with your hands, thinking about how you were all over the place fighting the gnomes while he fought calmly and gracefully. "I must have looked like a monkey to him, oh lord!"

Julius laughed heartily.

"And also, why did he convert from thief to healer?" you spoke in a hush tone, "isn't his talent wasted as a healer?"

"well, why not you ask him yourself?"

You blinked at your captain who gestured towards the door.

You turned around and you saw Morgen standing at the door, waving at you with his usual polite smile.

You never wanted to dig a hole and hide so badly in your life before. "why are you here!!"

"er.. the same reason as you?" he gave you a sheepish smile, "we were on the quest.. together you know?"

"S-since when did you get here!" you were bursting with embarrassment at this point.

"about the time when you said that you embarrassed yourself in front of me," he gave a little awkward chuckle.

Julius was trying his best not to fall of the chair giggling at this point. "I'll give you two some space.." he said as he left, calling for Marx and Yami to join him for lunch.

"so... you wanted to ask me why did I become a healer?" Morgen asked.

"But you didn't feel like sharing, no?"

"firstly, I got tired of the secret and mysterious life. I used to do it with my twin, but now he's with Yami more, so i don't find a point to do it anymore. And also, being a healer feels rewarding.."

"that's it?" the reason felt so simple you didn't understand why he didn't want to say it back then.

"and also..." he spoke slowly, his cheeks slightly flushed pink, "being a healer means I could go on a quest with you."

"me?"

"yeah, I saw you fight on one of your quest awhile back, when I was on my own personal quest, and I wanted to get to know you." he admitted shyly.

You felt like steam was coming out from your ears.

"To be fair, you were really all over the place when you fought," he let out an endearing laugh, "but I never thought of you as a monkey, I think you fight gracefully as well, as if you're dancing."

You fumbled to find the right words to say. "T-thank you."

"I'll make sure you won't get hurt again, miss y/n." he patted your head and left.

And that was how you met your husband.

website update blog #12 (May 22nd, 2022)

hello! i'm back with some actual changes to the site now!

i apologize if the last website update blog was like...

hold on lemme check my tumblr-

wait a minute...

ALMOST 1 MONTH???

damn. well, i got some changes to show yall anyway sooo lets start!

last time i discussed my website, i told yall that i will remake the whole thing over, and THAT, is going to be my main focus.

so i moved the old files to a new folder called /legacy and made a new html file and css file.

i then thought of how im going to go about organizing this thing. i thought about it for an absurdly long time, and then i had an idea.

what if we organized it as such where the style of an html element can be changed just by using the "class" attribute?

its hard to explain so ill just show you what im talking about: (if you dont want to read this part just scroll down until you see the word SKIP HERE!)

ill give you a div element:

but i want to change how it looks, since its just bland text on the preview shown.

that's where these classes come in!

these classes are basically just there to change how any html's look! (with the help of the class attribute)

turning the div into a black rectangle with a shadow

turning the div into a white rectangle with shadow

turning a div into a white rectangle (no shadow needed (although it looks like the rectangle isnt there anymore, but trust me, it still does)

and more! you can do a whole lot with these combinations, and theres even more classes i havent told you yet, like the button and flex classes, but to put it simply, button adds a transition where the rectangle changes color from white to black and and animation that makes the rectangle slightly go up and flex is to arrange the rectangles in rows and columns.

anyway back to the website...

this was the breakthrough idea that made recreating the website SO MUCH EASIER.

aaand after only 10 days, i finally finished!

i will now explain the changes i have made with the website (compared to my website before i recreated it)! it should be obvious but i will do it anyway.

- i added a github button!

this button serves two purposes:

its a button to redirect you to the github repository of the website!

its to get the /section buttons to actually look like they are centered. the main problem of the old navbar was that it did not look centered AT ALL, so i couldnt really center the thing without looking off and weird...

and now, with the github button, everything looks decent!

- changed the footer to look like a simple (rounded) rectangle at the bottom of the page.

this was to "solve" the problem which i had with the footer thingy which was that:

if i wanted the footer to fix on the bottom of the textbox,

but when i zoom out theres so much visibe dead space at the bottom.

and another thing, if i want the footer to stay at the bottom of the screen, it doesnt look like theres dead space, buttttt

the damn footer takes up 10% of the total screen space

so i had an idea...

what if we just contain it in a small rectangle instead of looking like the navbar?

it clearly does not solve the dead space at the bottom problem, but atleast it looks nicer than before and it doesnt look like the navbar anymore :D

oh and also

- I FINALLY FINISHED THE SLOOSHI PHOTO IN THE SIDE OF THE TEXTBOX AFTER LIKE 1 MONTH

YOU CAN SEE THE CHARACTER ON THE IMAGE I JUST SHOWED YOU IF YOU HAVENT NOTICED YET

aaaaaaand thats all that i have changed while recreating the thingy!!!

now the new stuff (theres only one):

- I added a new section on my website called sushiwt/lite!

based on @pagerorgy's sc36.net (and by based i mean i downloaded the html file of the website and edited it), this WAS a temporary home while i was remaking it, but now its just a place where you can see EVERYTHING the site has to offer (in only 1 table)!

i apologize of the fact that this blog is so long, so heres a tl;dr

i remade the website with a convenient way to change the look of an element

i changed the footer's look, added big slooshi, and

added sushiwt/lite, everything in my site in one table

Last night a tree fell in a storm, taking out two smaller trees that were thick with vines. The whole tangled mess came down, completely blocking the way to get out back, which meant to feed Ryoga I had to scramble through a jungle of an overgrown area and go way, way around.

I spent hours and hours, cutting with clippers and a handsaw. This was made tricker with one of the trees not falling but hanging in the tangle. A wee bit dangerous and involving careful cutting. On the plus side I just ( by like five minutes) did manage to make a tunnel through it all in time to get the wood shavings in the animal houses before it was fully dark.

So I go in, eager to flop and maybe watch a movie (I really should work on Mom’s gift and that letter I have to add to one of the Christmas cards)

There had been a message about a problem with my debit card. Okay, not the card but my funds. So I needed to frantically needed to do something, mainly a scramble for $50 and a transfer…

Oh, my internet was out. Of course.

A half hour of work my internet was back, albeit half speed and no images loading. I just needed to go to the website and…

The ipad won’t work.

Ok, to the computer!

Which is now so out of memory it didn’t want to work. I’d need to delete MORE of my photos in a frenzy, completely unable to see what they are since it hadn’t the memory to show me.

OK, crisis averted, well, except for the $50 I now need to find for the place I moved it from….But that can be tomorrow. I can just eat my cold leftovers (microwave doesn’t work and I am too tired and sore to wait around for the oven) and watch a movie…

Recently I foolishly let my tv know about the internet, in an attempt to use it to stream Disney + when I got it to watch Doctor Who. This did NOT work (yeah, it’s pre D+, but you’d think it would be updatable) , nor did trying to get my ipad to “talk” to the tv. But now every time I turn it on I have to manually disable the internet stuff, because the system couldn’t be rebooted without a PIN that I assume came with the tv but has been lost). If I don’t writing appears across the screen demanding I either finish setting it up for a “service” that monitors your viewing to “help” you find stuff (HELL NO!) or disable it (but only until the next time). This should just take….

Oh, great. Turns out you can’t disable it without internet access, and my wonky internet isn’t good enough for it to consider me connected. I can’t even watch a DVD without researching how to get my tv to act like a good old fashioned tv attached to a player.

**sigh**

At least I had a pleasant 2hr break from aggravations in the middle of the day while I talked to/read** to Mom over the phone.

**Still on Going Postal. Mom, the Terry Pratchett fangirl (80+ years old is still a girl!), was also a post master (as was my grandmother, and grandfather, and Pop was a clerk for a while!) so we are having a little extra fun with this one. Seriously, I mean, it’s like every time we watched Miracle on 34th Street. Certain depictions of postal work, either reminding her of her old devotion to her work (we actually made Christmas morning deliveries a couple times, just in case they were gifts) or the reasons she was very glad to finally retire (you do not want to hear about all that, besides, the structure of the system might be different.) I dunno what book I will read to her next, but I know there will be one.

Hello! I wanted to rec a fic on ao3 called "Restoration" by jelenedra. It's complete, an alternate universe of the sunshot campaign told nonlinearly. It has strong fairy tale and fae elements, with a touch of mystery. Bit of a fix it. Some delightful one liners, and the final ending imagery is just LOVELY. The fic deserves much more love. There's also some YilingWei, wwx not raised by Jiang, and sentient Burial Mounds elements. Enchanting read that keeps you enthralled and curious and intrigued.

hello mojo! i was wondering if I could make a fic rec? it’s called “and the calm is deep where the quiet waters flow” by izanyas. it used to be on ao3 but the author has since moved it to eir own website and has started posting updates there. i was wondering if this could also act as a signal boost bc some old readers on ao3 might not have known that it is now on another website. Author's been through a tough time so I think it deserves a lot more love.

For new readers, please mind the warnings in the prologue and the beginning of each chapter! it’s omegaverse and a very heavy read as it deals with (possible spoiler) off-screen rape that results in an unwanted pregnancy, as well as secondary gender oppression which runs deep, but for people who can bear it the writing, worldbuilding, and emotions are truly spectacular.

It's 'if wwx was raised by dafan wen, but gets recognized as 3rd heir due to his skill' scenario. Some really nice banter and characterization. Wwx and lz get together before the sunshot campaign. Story follows the live action but diverges into au, and does some cool callbacks to original canon. Love Meng Yao in this! [Oh, I know KouriArashi from my last fandom, I love her works!]

It’s starting to get dark outside and your house still feels empty. You walk around the small room holding your phone while checking if there is any new message or a call. It’s been a long day for you to finish your works and take care of your dog that’s feeling a bit under the weather. You give up waiting for a reply and choose to just leave your phone and take care of your sick dog.

“Neo, come here.” You make yourself comfortable on the floor and pat your lap as the small Labrador walks slowly to you.

“Aw look at you, you’re still sick but feeling better?” you ask when the good boy wags its tail

“Are you excited to meet daddy?” you coo at your pal and he licks your cheek. You giggle and kiss him back “I also miss Jaehyun, don’t worry he is coming home tonight.”

Your dog seems to understand what you said, maybe its because he heard Jaehyun and home in one sentence and your tone sounds happy. If you are happy, then Neo is happy.

“Let’s try to eat some more, you’re not eating as much as usual and I don’t find that settling.” You reach on the dog food you’ve prepared before hand and try to feed Neo.

He eats, but without much energy. You’re sad actually to see him acting like this, at night he also whimpers some soft painful growl. You’re planning to take him to the vet if he’s whimpering again tonight.

“Are you sick or are you just acting up to see Jaehyun?” you tease your Labrador, who once were caught acting sick just to bring Jaehyun home. Jaehyun loves Neo to the point where he is willing to drop his business to come and hug this good boy. Maybe it’s because Neo once saved your life.

You told Jaehyun about the story where Neo saved you from almost drowning in the beach when you were a teenager. Since then, Jaehyun’s love to Neo sort of jumps over the moon. He said he ought Neo everything because thanks to Neo he got to meet you.

Your dog finishes his dinner and proceed to lay on his bed to sleep, maybe he is not feeling well. You put your worry aside and grab your phone again, checking if Jaehyun actually replied your message or called you.

Nothing. No messages, no calls. He must be busy in the office, you thought to yourself. Trying your best to stay calm and think of positive things. You trust Jaehyun, he won’t be home late for any other reasons other than caught up with work or stuck in the road.

Jaehyun sighs and glances on his watch again. It’s already one hour past his regular go home time and his phone battery died the moment he was about to tell you he will be home late.

Well the project he is working on this month has a change on the product launching date, so the team has to rush things up and make sure they’re ready for the launching next week.

His attempt to stay calm with tuning into his favorite radio channel fails. Not even his music playlist can calm him down. He knows you’re probably worried something bad happens to him without news or update from him to you and that is not settling in his heart.

“I am so sorrryyyy..” he mutters to himself when he sees the red lights and rows of cars all crawling in the night street. Why must the road be congested today?

He made it into your neighborhood and at that moment he realized something.

“Shit, I forgot to download the Netflix movie she wanted to watch.” Jaehyun internally curses himself. Works really preoccupied his mind to the point where he forgot. Well he hopes you won’t be mad and just let him download it for awhile to avoid pauses.

The lift ride to your room is not helping. With the lift keeps on stopping on different floor, he has to hold his patience and not cry in there when the door once again opens and he’s still halfway to your floor.

The man with a nice fitted suit finally steps out of the crowded lift. His face shows how tired he is, but the smile he has in his face upon imagining the face of his lover and faithful pal is bright enough.

Jaehyun takes a deep breath when he presses the six-digit combination lock to your home and once he presses the handle down, all of his exhaustion seems to leave his shoulder.

The familiar scent of your favorite aroma therapy candle greets him. Slowly Jaehyun takes off his shoes and when he did not see you or get a surprising jump from you, he knows you’re probably in your room doing works or maybe playing with Neo.

His steps resonate through the room, first the kitchen looks bright with a nice simple dinner nicely arranged on the table. Though it’s no longer steaming, Jaehyun can feel his stomach rumbles.

“(Y/n)?” he calls your name slowly after putting his working bag and suit aside. His hand unties his tie as he uncuffs his buttons and walk to look for you.

“Oh you’re asleep?” he talks to himself in whispers when he finds you laying down sleeping on the sofa with Neo cuddled next to you, despite the lack of space!

Gently he tucks your hair aside from your face and leans in to kiss your forehead. “Sorry for being home late.”

You twist in your sleep and slowly open your eyes. Blinking your sleep away and gathering your energy to process what is this. Is this a dream or is this Jaehyun?

Your hand reach out to touch his cheeks and when you feel it you smile. “Hello love,” you yawn and hug his torso.

“I haven’t showered or changed.” he runs a hand on your hair and the other free hand is already rubbing Neo’s chin.

“It’s okay, you can shower later.” You mumble as you bury your face into his torso.

“Have you eaten?” you ask, definitely knowing he hasn’t eaten yet.

He nods “I am hungry.”

“I can heat the food for you. Take a bath quick.” You push him to the toilet. He laughs and ruffles your hair before leaving to take his towel and clothes.

You bring Neo with you to the kitchen, and start to heat the food again.

Seeing Jaehyun still try his best to smile in front of you despite his stress and tiring job, makes you feel grateful and that the only way you can pay him back is by giving him the attention and cares he deserves.

He returns with a brighter face and a comfortable tee shirt and sweats. You’re done with heating the foods and so you join him sitting on the other end of the table as you scoop him some foods into his plate.

“Thank you, you cooked this?” he asks while taking small bites on the foods. Knowing his best to not expect too much when you are a terrible cook.

You bite your lips “I tried a receipt from Taeyong’s website.” You look up at him with expectations, couldn’t be that bad right? You’ve been practicing for a while. Jaehyun nods and eats more “I guess you improved?” he chuckles when you let out a delightful clap

“I am glad!” you grin. “I am ready to be your housewife.” You tease him.

He giggles and reaches out for more kimchi “Who made this kimchi? So good.”

You roll your eyes “Mom.”

“Ah, learn from her first to make this good kimchi, then you can marry me.” He playfully pokes your cheek and you pout at him “You hold your words. If I succeed making that kimchi, you’re marrying me.”

He flashes his ring finger to you, the one with a couple promise ring he has with you and winks “I am more than ready to change this ring into a diamond one.”

You blush “Keep your words okay. Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”

He nods “I am. I am going to keep my words. Right Neo? You are our witness.”

The dog barks and stays under the table accompanying the warm night both of you spend together.

“About not replying to your text, I am sorry my phone died, and I don’t bring my charger with me today.” He brushes his hair away from his eyes.

You nod “I knew it, you and your hobby of running out of batteries. I’m just afraid something bad happens.”

“No, don’t worry. It’s just we had to take over time to finish a project for next week. Sorry to keep you waiting.” He raises from the chair and brings his plates to the dish.

You quickly keep the remaining foods into the refrigerator while Jaehyun takes the gloves and starts to wash the sink.

“Ow poor you, did you finish it? Things are okay?” you lean on the counter next to him.

“Yes, I can go home because I finished my parts.”

“Good then,” you pat his shoulder “You must be tired, let’s-“

He cuts you in “About Netflix-“ he takes a sharp pause “I am so sorry we have to postpone watching A Whisker Away, I haven’t downloaded it yet.”

You smile and rubs his shoulder “Don’t worry, the film is not going to disappear! Let’s rest instead. You had a long day and I want to cuddle with you.”

Jaehyun smiles and jumps into your side, he hugs you and pulls the cover over you both “Okay, cuddle it is then! Come here, let me hug you until you beg me to stop.” He peppers you with raspberry kisses on your neck and arm and you giggle loudly.

“love you Jae!” you kiss him quick to which the other man smiles and kisses you back “And I love you most.”

Y/N was on Smartschool of her school. Normally, each school has Smartschool. It's a special website where you can follow updates and have contact with all teachers or others of your school. Y/N uses it every day to keep an eye on updates if she ever gets a mail from one of her teachers or something. Even the principals have their accounts there too. They most like to send important emails or other stuff. But on May 10, there was big shocking news... Something that Y/N will never forget in her life.

Y/N noticed that she got an email from her principal, a male (like in my school). But something caught her eye about what it's about. 'Sad news about (Random male student's name)'.

Y/N's eyes opened wide and immedialty clicked on the email. She began to read:

'Dear everyone to the school,

Today, we got extremely sad news from the parents of R/M/N that he sadly passed away at the hospital from his wounds after a car crash. The accident happened on May 9 while he was driving, until a drunk driver crashed him dangerously. He was in a very bad condition brought to the hospital, where he sadly passed away the next day from his wounds.

The class of R/M/N got informed, along with his teachers.

Please feel free to contact the school and ask questions or contact any specialists if you go through a hard time about his death. Remember that it's an extremely hard time now for everyone, especially the closest loved ones to the student. But it takes time to heal. Let's try to forget this horrible news and move on. I, along with the school, am ready to help everyone.

I like to wish R/M/N's family and friends big support, love, and health.'

Y/N felt tears building up. She never knew the boy nor never met him, but she never thought that she would experience something like this. It actually almost never happens due to the parents bringing kids to school, taking them home, protecting them... Even the police and school make sure that the kids are brought safely to school! This is such a hard, depressing and sad moment.

Y/N was at the base of the Autobots. Jack, Miko, and Raf are next to her, laughing or hanging out. The girl covers her mouth as she sobs, immediately catching the attention of the kids, not even them, but also all Autobots, especially her mate, Optimus Prime.

"Y/N, what's wrong?" Raf asked worriedly.

Jack and Miko were trying to comfort her. The Bots came closer to the kids.

Y/N looks at Jack, Miko, and Raf. "R-R/M/N from our school d-died at the hospital from his wounds after a horrible accident."

"Oh, God..." Jack said in shock while Miko covered her mouth and Raf looked shocked.

The Bots couldn't help but feel shocked and sad for their human friends. Even though they did go to schools before the war, something like this never happened as the death of a student. It's very important to make sure that the students go safely to school. But sadly, the world is cruel in that it can take a life away at any time every day.

Y/N immedialty went through Facebook and searched the news. Someone in the room was about to say something but Y/N found the article on the news fast and opened it, reading it out loud:

"The boy sadly passed away from his wounds.

We sadly got the news that the victim sadly died at the hospital from his wounds, while battling for his life. The doctors say that they did everything they could to save his life but sadly, it's too late. The accident happened on May 9 around 1 a.m. while he was driving a car while having friends too. That's until a drunk driver hit the car, causing dangerous wounds to the boy. His friend had light wounds so they left the hospital fast.

The driver is a 21 year-old-man and the police told that the alcohol tests positive that he's arrested for murder and the car crash. We further don't know any details. The boy was only 18 years old.

We mourn together with the family and friends of the victim."

Everyone was silent when Y/N finished reading the news. Poor R/M/N... He's only 18 and had a life full ahead of him! Now, he never got that chance to graduate and start his own life...

Y/N found the Facebook profile of R/M/N and saw just down below so many posts about him. There were so many friends and family members of the boy. The posts told that they will miss him extremely hard, love him forever, and other sad stuff. Heck, even R/M/N's girlfriend posted something! Y/N couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl. She saw that she posted many sad emojis, breaking hearts and a heartbreaking text like she will love him forever, never forget him and that she became stronger thanks to him.

"This is extremely shocking," Ratchet mumbled quietly in shock.

Y/N couldn't help but cry. Optimus' processor got off in alarm and walked over to his mate. He gently picked her up in his servos. Everyone didn't dare to interrupt since their human female friend is heartbroken. Y/N was curled into a ball on Optimus' servo as she's shaking.

Optimus frowned and felt his spark broke. Once they were alone in his berthroom, he closed the door, sat on his berth, and used his bipedal holoform to be around Y/N's height. He pulled her into his arms and comforts her, whispering soft and sweet things and shushing her as well. Y/N finally calmed down an hour later and fell asleep in Optimus' arms.

New gallery treats, including Miki’s purchase privilege bromide from the second musical, ACTUAL ART MADE FOR ME BY ACTUAL NAGAHAMA OGMEGERYF, official cosplay images, THE ENTIRE STORYBOARDS FOR EPISODE 6, and a lot of cross posting and work to make translated materials easier to find!!

Two new analysis essays, Smash Genesis explored the difficulty of a mostly male creative team trying to make an essentially feminist story in Patriarchy and Entrapment in 'Revolutionary Girl Utena', and Jude Deluca explores the inspirations Ikuhara drew from in 'Revolutionary Girl Utena' and its Debt to Shinji Wada.

The two SEGA Real Models of Utena and Anthy came with bonus omake audio drama CDs that have been translated by Nagumo. I wanted to do something fun with them, to get a bit more exposure to some peak content that deserves it, so I put the audio to game assets! Check out Utena’s discussion of Princely training, and Anthy’s letter answering drama. Both read like the next episode commentaries except funnier.

Also in Audiology, Feral Phoenix translated Ikuhara and Saito’s liner notes for OST 5, ‘ Now, Engage Yourself to Me... ‘, and Ayu Ohseki added another translation to the OST 7 version of Saionji’s movie duel, Revive! Infinite History!

🎤 Sat Aug 29 🧬

LP Act 2!!! How well did LIAM do?? He KILLED IT!! Once it was finally able to start, that is! The Veeps website crashed about an hour before the show started, and was not able to start running again until over an hour after it was supposed to start. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m having flashbacks to the anniversary website (as well as every other website the One Direction curse seems to have contact with).

Highlights of the show include him performing What a Feeling, which is the first time anyone from One Direction has ever performed it, ever! There were also pictures of his band (One Direction? Maybe you’ve heard of them?) in onesies and dressed as Mario Kart characters (in case you’re wondering, this would have been from that one Mario Kart interview, yes). Some ~ super fun (old) behind the scenes facts ~ include that the boys got in trouble for the onesie picture because “a cool band - like Westlife - would never have done that”. Uh, fuck you, said Westlife, who promptly took a picture in onesies one week later. Love that for them.

Say what you will about these guys, they do really listen to their fans and deliver. Louis was clearly taking careful notes on our merch requests, and is delivering, and Liam really came through with the song selections, opening with the seemingly forgotten songs from his EP, to singing more One Direction songs - I’m not over the What A Feeling performance, and I never will be. The chat, meanwhile, “play Little Things!”. Seriously, what the fuck guys?

Other notable moments from the show include Liam singing Night Changes and Best Song Ever (I love this song!), and his opening act Mae Muller, who sang her newest single, as well as a song called “Therapist”, in which she crooned “you don’t need a girlfriend, you need a therapist”. Also, on the topic of One Direction (were we on that topic? We are now.), he said, “wow, ten years, so much has happened, I’ve got a mustache now!” (Harry can relate :{D!). He mentioned that it was hard to play these old songs without the boys (“I did ask, though!”). And, perhaps most surprisingly, his show did feature ...cage dancers? I wasn’t expecting that one either, to be honest.

Following the show came Afterparty. This was, in a word, awkward. There were some zoom games that mostly consisted of technical difficulties, Liam standing around awkwardly, and participants who mostly failed to answer the questions correctly. The prizes for participating in this game consisted solely of Liam’s used shirts, which he joked were from his depop store! There were also video messages wishing Liam a happy birthday, notably from artists he’s worked with including Niall (!!!!).

The funniest moment of the show was definitely the costume of a cow he promptly put on because “why not? It’s not the worst thing I’ve put on during a show”. It’s no banana suit, but it did give him the opportunity to make penis jokes. And, guys, he took it! The second funniest moment was when asked what his favorite part of going solo was, he promptly replied, “finding out that people don’t know my middle name”, in reference to a failed zoom answer.

If you were looking for an update to YESTERDAY’s headline story, well, so was I, to be honest, but, as Liam said (when talking about birthday wishes), “I’m sorry, I’m going to have to keep some information close to the chest”. I think that’s that about that, to be honest. But Liam did have special guests on hand: childhood friends - Not Maya.

None of the other boys had any notable events today, but Harry made Daily Mail headlines for, uh, making a friend? Someone call the press! Oh, wait - Someone already did! Emma Corrin, the “pal” he seems to have made, will be playing Princess Diana in the upcoming season of the Crown. So, you know, some queens do need a crown (not Harry, though, obviously). Most notably, though, the article makes a point of explicitly telling us that they are not romantically involved.

Louis continues to be making fandom rounds for his merch, which is a topic of heated debate. What is behind the DNA strand? Yesterday, I called it a wall, but some have said that it looks more like a baby gate, while others brought their professional medical opinions to bear to tell us that it was in fact an artery wall. Which is it? Place your bets now!

i cant remember seeing any official announcements on when we're getting personal story 3, tho. it Should be soon since cn server got perso story 3 update in february but global is kinda a league of its own in terms of schedules since 1) theyre speeding up events and events seem to take precedence over the "core" content so global can catch up with cn and 2) current COVID situation in japan affected up global's sched further (cuz it pushed back recording of jp dub, absolutely understandable and i hope everybody stays healthy and safe huhu)

You swear you are not properly aligned with the Universe, or that you’re just in the wrong dimension because these series of unfortunate events in your life couldn’t be as consistent and neverending as it is currently.

Last Monday, you checked and made sure that the final revision of the product brochure your boss asked you to prepare was perfect. So you sent it to the publishing department to have it printed and posted online.

The next day, every staff member in your department was shocked that everything was already sold out within just two hours of opening.

Turns out, the prices were changed to the lowest amount and customers flock online the moment they see everything on the company website.

You weren't just reprimanded by your boss, and your coworkers judged the hell out of you, but you also have to call to apologize and tell the first thousand customers, who were able to avail the products before the IT department could freeze the site, that their purchase wasn’t accepted.

He also told you to prepare a ‘sorry care package’ for them and compose a sincere apology letter, both printed out and by email, on behalf of the company.

You stayed until two in the morning at the office, packing all the damn freebies you have to send for free (shipping cost deducted from your own damn salary)

Thankfully, Taeyong was there to help.

Updates on Qualified Immunity for Law Enforcement, 6/20/2020

June 15 2020- The US Supreme Court declined to reexamine several cases which would have allowed it to reconsider qualified immunity, the legal doctrine created by judges that shields police and other government officials from lawsuits over their conduct. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/15/supreme-court-qualified-immunity-police-cases-320187

June 19 2020- Colorado Governor, Jared Polis, signed a police reform bill ending qualified immunity in the state. SB 217 was led by four POC Democrats, Herod, Garcia, Fields, and Gonzales-Gutierrez who worked alongside the ACLU to craft the legislation. Colorado SB 217 also requires all state and local police to wear body cameras by 2023 (with footage to be made public), bans chokeholds, shooting fleeing suspects and using deadly force unless a life is in immediate danger. I’m making a note here: ‘huge success’—

It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction!

Totally my mood when I finally, finally, finished up the writing for my Don’t Starve/Portal crossover fic The Things We Do For Science. :la:

For those of you just tuning in, this fic was basically a Portal 2 rewrite with Willow as Chel, Wilson as Wheatley, and Maxwell as GLaDOS—which meant that at some point, Wilson ends up in charge of the facility. The end result involves a lot of fussing and finagling to get everything working as a combo of Don’t Starve and Portal logic, and the end result has Wilson behaving more like GLaDOS while in charge than Wheatley, but I’m happy with the end result and thrilled I’ve finally written it all out.

Wilson’s appearance is based on a combo of Aperture designs and various human!Wheatley designs, although tantum-tenebris (@tantum-tenebris) and wilsandwillow’s (@wilsandwillow) fan arts of the fic in general and triumphant-CPU-Wilson also seriously influenced the design late-term.

Did this in my sketchy-style and color wash and kept it monochromatic—also forgot the cables that are supposed to be coming out of the back of Wilson’s head but oh well. The headset is based a bit on the neuraltransmitter from Big Hero 6—really seriously got into that show and I love it. :D Except for season 3—that’s been disappointing. And I figure Wilson would sound like Benny Benack III (the guy singing) while happily belting out about science. XD

So! Fresh update today, and then every Friday until Christmas—we’re getting it done this year, folks, FINALLY!
