Frank Maddox meets crossover character of your choice!

Frank Maddox/Edmund Pevensie and a magical apple tree.

Frank had always thought the apple tree in their garden was rather jolly - it had grown so quickly from an apple that had fallen from their neighbour's garden, and now looked positively ancient even though it was only a few years old. He felt he could believe in fairy-tales again sitting there, listening to the boughs creak though there seemed no wind to stir them. One year it seemed to die entirely; it seemed frozen stiff and didn't bud that spring. Mother would wonder now and again if they should cut it down because it seemed unsafe - especially after their neighbour's tree blew down one stormy winter - but they neither of them could give up the sweet little apples that came in the autumn.

He had Michelet open in his lap when the apple fell on it, narrowly missing Frank's nose. He laughed and picked it up, holding it to his face and breathing in its fragrance. The sweetness made him feel alive in a strange way; he wanted to run and jump or...

His mind danced over the other things he wanted.

Instead, he ate the apple. And then closing his eyes against the low autumn sun, he let his mind wander.

He often thought, while sitting here, of a boy-king. Or rather a king who began as a boy and grew to a man. He'd thought he was remembering a legend at first, but he'd never found it in a book. He should write it down really: the boy, the betrayal, the redemption, the coronation, but he couldn't ever quite pin down the story in the way he could pin down a butterfly.

He drifted. With the taste of the apple still fresh in his mouth he felt he almost walked alongside King Edmund as he strolled in his own Palace orchard. The King was alone - he was often alone.

"You're older than last time," Frank said to himself.

"And so are you," King Edmund replied, making Frank start. He was looking directly at Frank, and was so close that Frank could see the freckles on his nose. "Where hast been? I wish I knew when you'd likely appear."

"At Cambridge," Frank said, stupidly.

The King looked curious for a moment, as though straining to hear far away music.

"I know it, I think," he said after a moment. "But I do not remember."

He reached for Frank's hand, and Frank let him take it. It felt entirely real - warm and strong.

"Truly thou art almost here this time," Edmund said. "But not fully."

Frank didn't speak. Edmund put his other hand against Frank's cheek.

"Thou are for me, I think," he said. "But not yet. Thou art tied to another."

Frank blinked, his eyelashes brushing against the edge of the King's finger.

"Coming untied rather jolly quickly," he said softly.

"Jolly good," Edmund said, sounding almost like an English schoolboy. He looked surprised at himself for saying it too, and began to laugh.

Frank laughed too, and was still smiling when he opened his eyes again under his own apple tree.

How about… Narnia x Elden Ring?

So I’ve been working on a Narnia x Elden Ring crossover. Basically it’s the lands and world buildings that align in my story and not the plots. The plot is Narnia’s I just brought Elden ring into it. Why? I don’t know, just enjoy my ideas ig 🤣

| • The World Build •|

~☀️ THE SUN OF NARNIA ☀️~

The Sun of Narnia was created by Aslan by the moment the land was created. Because in Narnia, everything radiates magic, sun is the Amber of the golden sunshine and the magic that blesses people.

The sun radiates the golden sacred magic that holds hope, protection and peace and it is only possibly inheritable by humans blessed with the touch of Anynsian, a royal family known as the "Golden Order", and used from the species of elves and angels. Therefore, the elves and angels live under the care of the Golden Order's leaders, and obey only one particular king.

~ INFORMATION ~

• The Protector

For the power and amber of the sun to be protected and be handled with wisdom, Aslan gave the sun to a spirit for it's protection, a fallen queen named Anynsian. Anynsian never revealed her true face to people and she was only seen as a golden sunlight shaped woman with wings.

The power of sunshine is strictly shared only in those who obey the Golden Order, therefore royals, servants, elves or angels. The knowledge is known amongst them and them only. But the ruler, king or queen who sits on the throne of the Golden Order, holds this power to it's greatest power, through two weapons. The magic elven crown and the crystal angel sword can be used and held only by the royal blood descendants of the Golden Order. The rest magic of the sun can be shared in minimum forms, in weapons and in the planting charismas of the elves.

• Birth of Narnia

Aslan offers the Sun to Narnia and entrusts it's guard to an immortal guardian named Anynsian, shining lightning female figure with golden wings, whom face was never seen by anyone. From the moment Anynsian appears in Narnia, she creates her own people, under her protection and blessing, the "Golden Order". With her light and wisdom, she attracted the faith of the two most powerful species Aslan had brought: The elves and angels. Aslan suspected that the elves and angels would want to claim more power and lands for themselves causing conflicts and deaths, but Anynsian showed them her blessing, the meanings of peace and unity and which drew their attention. From this day forward their faith to her was an unbreakable sacred oath.

The Golden Order's followers is spread throughout all Narnia but their main fortresses, their royal capital and lands are in northern Narnia, in the region of Altus Plateau. Their capital is later placed there, known as the royal capital of Leyndell. Some elves and angels also find their own special safe place, the Tall Tree, Elphael which is controlled and protected by the Golden Order.

The first queen that held the blessing of Anynsian and first leader of the Golden Order, was Queen Marika. She was the one who established the rules and protocols of the Golden Order. People said that her rules were strict and unforgiving but Marika let it be known that ruling powerful species and a sacred light was not easy.

The Golden Order kept gaining power in Narnia for ages. No one would dare to challenge the powerful army and the highly guarded city of Leyndell. But this bright and sacred legacy lasted only for 9 total centuries.

The Last King of the Golden Order was King Lamenor, who reigned with his queen, Eneleÿn. The two of them managed to have heirs as well, two children, Prince Pedrian and Princess Eilowny.

There was a night when a powerful fire sorceress named Verthier, attacked Leyndell with her army and loyal dragons in order to claim the golden magic she craved and was forbidden to claim. Her attack burned the royal capital to the ground and thousands of elves and angels lost their lives. The king and queen trying to defend their people, used their weapons against the witch, with the power of Anynsian herself within, which lead to their death. The two children were saved by Aslan and sent elsewhere, in safety. No one has heard of them since. But Verthier managed to survive and there were rumors that she was imprisoned somewhere, where no one could find her.

The Golden Order was no more but Anynsian, with the help of Aslan, protected and hid the remaining elves and angels in the tree of Elphael.

When the "Golden Age" started in the east, conflicts between High King Peter and another powerful sorceress, Rawena caused her to avenge them and cast a spell in the oceans, that would block their trade and access. It was a spell known as the "Green Mist" and although it was not Rawena's creation she used it to spread fear and desperation to the Lone Islands, as a revenge to High King Peter.

Along with the Lone Islands, Anynsian was trapped and locked way by the magic spell. To save herself and her order, Anynsian decided to freeze the time of her existence, fall into a deep slumber and keep the elves and angels locked away in Elphael, until the spell will break.

Anynsian is still slumbering deeply behind the Green mist and still awaits for the time that the rightful heirs of the Golden Order shall return and lead them.

~TIMELINES~

Creation:

• The Sun is Given to Queen Anynsian, for protection.

• The Council of the Five Sorcerers who came from another world in Narnia, Jadis, Verthier, Rawena, Emyr and Freya is created in the North.

204:

• The Golden Order Family is Created, with the first queen placed being Marika, in the palace of Leyndell ruling the elves and angels.

• Verthier, the fire sorceress is the one who seeks to learn the secrets of the golden order's magic. But when Queen Marika refused and Verthier sought war, she was banished with the whole mages council, in the north.

898:

•The Witch sisters, Jadis and Verthier return from the North to Narnia.

900:

• The Witches Sisters invade Narnia.

• Verthier invades Altus Plateau and the Leyndell Castle. King Lamenor and Queen Eneleÿn sacrifice themselves to protect the Golden Order. Aslan sends Prince Pedrian and Princess Eilowny to our world for safety and they disappear from Narnia.

• The Crimson Witch, Verthier is imprisoned.

Anynsian and her Magic are locked away behind a dark spell by Rawena in the Lone Islands.

• The elves and angels are sent to the Tall Tree of Elphael to keep living and recreating for the next centuries.

🌙 THE MOON OF NARNIA 🌙

The Moon of Narnia was created by Aslan by the time the land was created. Because in Narnia, everything radiates magic, all kind of stars and moon are the Amber of the cosmos and the magic that is shared throughout people's blood, shaped in magical talent. The magic is the skyline's magic that hold intelligence, wisdom and dreams and it is allowed to be used by chosen humans, the known astral sorcerers in Narnia.

~INFORMATION~

• The Protector

For the power of the moon to be protected, Aslan gave the sun responsibility to a spirit witch named Ranni. Ranni was a spirit to begin with but she put herself into a tall doll's body made out of blue wax, dressed in white clothes and four total hands. Aslan knew that Ranni was stern and very consistent to her oaths and beliefs but he trusted her wisdom and judgment.

By the creation of the sorcerers, a new kingdom was created to rule them all and to put magic in order. It was the "Carian Royal Family".

Because the power of the skies is not dangerous to begin with it, if it is learned to be controlled properly, it is shared throughout many narnian sorcerers by birth. And the power is given in higher radiation to the royal descendants of the Carian Royal Family, the leaders of magic.

The magic is held by a special number of people but can only be learned properly in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. It can only be used with staffs made out of wood and the right gems.

The leader of the Carian Royal Family, is carrying a particular special powerful sceptre specially designed to empower them with the help of Ranni the Witch.

The skyline's magic was vast and widely spread in Narnia and after centuries of searching and studying they ended up separate them in three categories: Glinstone Magic, Carian Royal Family's Magic and Night Magic.

Glinstone magic is the power of the stars in every sorcerer's blood and all of them are learned in the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Carian Royal Family's Magic is the radiation of the very moon embodied in the spectral forms of swords and weapons, known by the Carian royals and other mages who wish to be warriors as well. Carian magic is known to be also used by the forsworn knights.

The night Magic is a matter of enigma in Narnia. Like the power of glinstone they embedded the power of the stars but it is rather the hidden and night stars of darkness. There were mages who practiced it and learned it but the spell itself was forbidden in the Academy. The masters of night magic never taught their arts in the Academy but were moved to other cities and regions to practice it, often pointed out as "heretics".

•Birth of Narnia

Aslan gives the Moon to Narnia and entrusts it's guard to an immortal witch named Ranni. Ranni embeds her power in humans and also shapes her own kingdom, under her guard, the "Carian Family". She shapes a a generation of sorcerers, blessed by the skylight. The magic is spread throughout all Narnia but their main fortress and grounds are in Middle West Narnia, in the Academy of Raya Lucaria and the royal city of Caria Manor.

The first queen that held the blessing of Ranni and the lead of the Carian Family, was Queen Rennala. Rennala herself created the laws and the books of the astral magic and then established the Academy of Raya Lucaria in the centre of Liurnia for all of the sorcerers to study in.

The Last formal King of the Golden Order was King Edgar, but it was well known that royal blood descendants were spread throughout all of Narnia and that the magic descendants were living through for centuries even when the Caria Family was no more.

After Narnia fell into the 100 year winter, the Carian royal family remained safe until the land was attacked, separated and was sent away throughout all Narnia by two powerful mages of the council, Emyr and Freya. The two of them sinked the lands of Liurnia in a flooding zone, where houses and villages sunk down. Even though the royal family was no more, the descendants and mages kept living on.

Ranni, with her own will, protected and hid the sorcerers in the remaining lands of Liurnia and in the lone islands of the ocean. She sealed the Academy of Raya Lucaria away and she limited the entrance, only to the born mages that can learn magic.

Caria Manor was eventually conquered by pirates (Telmarines) and Ranni still awaited for years, for the last royal descendant of the Carian Family, to show up and take up the responsibility of ruling Caria.

Ranni was so self disappointed with her inability to protect her people and her tears shaped the first legendary "Moontree", the most beautiful and rare tree in Narnia that grows with the tears of powerful sorceress. Ranni oath swore with this tree that the next person who will manage to shape a Moontree, either royal or poor, either graceful or malign she would rise them as the upcoming ruler of Caria Manor, to continue the generation. No matter what she would have to sacrifice Ranni still awaits for the new Moontree to rise...

• Ranni oath swears to establish the next king, as the one who will manage to achieve the growth of the Moontree.

To clarify: This is not a case of both universes existing simultaneously. This is an inexplicably-dropped-into-an-entirely-different-universe crossover.

This is not necessarily about which is your favorite character out of these (although it could be. Who am I to tell you what to do here). This is about what would be the most chaotic, the most cursed, the most barely-justifiable plot-wise. The worst, if you will.

And, since there are far more than ten characters I can imagine dumping into the world of Batman and the Justice League with no valid reasoning, there will be more.

High King Arthur Pendragon and the royal family of Camelot.

AU in which a series of canon divergences lead to Arthur surviving the mortal wound inflicted him by Mordred at Camlann and, with the help of Merlin who then becomes his Prince Consort, bringing the golden age foretold by the prophecies.

Arthur Pendragon, king of Camelot and High King of Albion. He successfully reunited the lands as the prophecies said, and also brought back magic. Few years after the victory of Camlann he married Merlin, who has become prince consort and second ruler of the kingdom. But, since unfortunately Merlin might be many things, but a woman with a womb he's not, Arthur (with Merlin) had to find a way to conceive a heir while being married to a man. Cue in Mithian, crown princess of Nemeth, equally saddled with the duty to give the throne a heir but uninterested in finding a husband trustful enough to sit at her side without potentially become a danger to her right to the throne. Together, the three of them reach an agreement that satisfies them all and they've been tight-close since. Their peculiar settlement initially was met with confusion and diffidence, but Mithian earned herself the thrust of everyone, and eventually the title of Queen of Camelot, third in line after Merlin. Peter is the first born of this union and rightful heir to the throne of Camelot. He's a talented swordsman but he suffered through all his teen years because of the never-ending comparisons with his warrior father who is on another fighting level. With age he learned to accept that he'll never be a war king and nobody ever asked him to become one either. He isn't his father, his name isn't part of legends or prophecies; he wasn't born to unite Albion but to keep it united once the Age of the Once and Future King sees its dawn. He will be a good and fair king for the peaceful times of the golden age, and his duty will be to make sure all his father - and his father's husband - sacrifices won't be wasted, that what they built is preserved. Susan was conceived because Mithian wanted both a heir for her to entrust Nemeth and a daughter. She's stubborn and strong but also capable of great empathy and kindness, as her mother and the Pendragon women (when they not meet High Priestesses who manipulate them). She's a formidable archer. Handsome Caspian, the son of Gwaine and Lady Vivian, is courting her and she welcomes this game, but Susan is enjoying too much her freedom to settle for a marriage and a family of her own. She has time though. Aithusa is the cute, small thing of the family, although she's actually the oldest of the new Pendragon generation - not counting the centuries spent in the egg that make her older than the castle of Camelot itself. As per usual with the dragon race, Aithusa's growth is stunned by her remaining with her parents. Only by being left on their own to tend to themselves, a dragonling is forced to grow. Thus, despite she was hatched on the dawn of the golden age, before Arthur married Mithian, she's still a dragonling that can fit Arthur's shoulders - her second favorite spot after the sling she made Arthur wear for years under his shirt. She learned the human language and can talk with her half-dragon impaired siblings Peter and Susan, but her speech pattern still needs some work. She doesn't care though. She's not so eager to leave the nest.

Aithusa, (officially the ward of the king, unofficially considered by anyone in the court his scales-covered, flame-breathing daughter) is actually the eldest, since she was the first to come to the family. So yes, she's the older sibling. Make of this knowledge what you want. She also is firm that Arthur is a dragon, just one kind that looks like humans. But he's totally dragon. And if he doesn't breath fire or doesn't understand the dragon language, is all Uther's fault who didn't teach him his dragon gifts. Since Arthur is clearly a dragon, while Mithian sadly isn't, Peter and Susan are to her half-dragons. She still claims that it's because of the half human blood in their veins that they are impaired and don't have any dragon skill.

There's a fanfic for Aithusa as the (still only) daughter of the royal husbands during Father's Day, if you're interested.

When the time comes, and Arthur retires to Avalon to sleep, Peter will ascend as new king of Camelot, whose court will be moved to the renovated Castle of the Old Kings (or a new castle - still have to decide on this). Susan will succeed to Mithian on the throne of Nemeth. Aithusa will inherit the nest itself, the castle of Camelot, to own and protect until Merlin will be ready to make use of it.

I decided that Caspian would be Gwaine's (and Vivian's) son out of looks alone, and out of a (wrong) belief that he was meant to be Susan's love in Narnia. I never watched the second movie, and by the time I finally read the books, I didn't want to change it. For the same reason, I don't have a woman for Peter. A potential daughter of Gwen and Lancelot wouldn't be bad, but not necessary. (The AU idea ends with Arthur's travel to Avalon for his sleep and a mention of Peter moving the court to another castle, to then a time skip focusing on Merlin, so I didn't really focus on Peter's or Susan's life.)

While I'm writing this I wondered if Merlin wouldn't want to have a child so to kickstart the dragonlords kind (although, unless Magic changes its rules, the child would never inherit the dragonlord powers, since Merlin doesn't die). It never occurred to me before. I'm not sure he'd feel like having children, if he already knew that he would be immortal and he would then be forced to see his children grow old and frail and then die. But who knows. He could have one or more with Mithian, especially once Arthur is gone to Avalon. In case, Edward Pensive is there for the picking. Also Lucy.

About the AU When Lancelot is sent sent back to the world of the livings after he sacrificed himself to close the Veil, Gwen realizes that, between the two boys she loves, a relationship with a knight of humble origins has better chances than the one with a king that comes with a throne and a heavy kingdom, and so she picks Lancelot over Arthur. Arthur, who has given his blessing to the couple, doesn't find the time nor interest to find himself a wife and he's still a golden bachelor by the time Camlann happens. Merlin manages to save him and they eventually acknowledge their feelings. The Court backs Arthur's wish to marry a male servant on the premise that Arthur will pick a woman to give the kingdom a heir. And here comes Mithian, who might be more interested in women, so Camelot and Nemeth can make an agreement that will make both households happy. Since Mithian is wonderful, and fondness between her and the Royal Couple of Camelot grows, she's eventually given the title of Queen of Camelot, third in line after the King and the Prince Consort. Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip) Both a challenge and a nightmare. The original picture is four people. I needed five. Now, onto the specific characters - in order of making. Mithian, who had to be moved to make space for Merlin, was surprisingly easy to make. I wished to delete the lions on the dress, and replace them with either the Pendragon dragon or the Nemeth bull, but it was too much even for me, so I gave up. Removing them altogether felt odd - the dress is black with little movement, and without the lions it felt just one blotch of black. Susan. I'm not satisfied. The actress picture was perfect in pose but it has something in colors/lights that makes it stand out and look a bit more fake. Whatever. Peter. It took me a while to find the picture that would fit the body. Initially I kept the original body's curly hair, for I didn't feel like William Moseley's hairstyle would acceptable in a Medieval setting. But then I changed my mind, and remade it. He might be a bit too stocky for my liking but the body is that and making him less bulkier is out of option. On the chest the costume featured a cross: I erased it to be replaced it with the Pendragon dragon in the same style. Quite proud of how that turned out. Can't say the same for the sword. Yes, Arthur's son has a name sword which is coincidentally the sword of Peter Pensive. But the change was a given. Merlin was one challenge. I planned to use another body for his (the same king from Vikings but with another costume) but the picture just didn't work out. The one I chose... featured the man from the knees above. Which meant reconstruction for legs (which meant stealing the legs from Arthur's base - coincidentally it's always the same character!)... and the cloak. That was the true challenge! Also. I like how it turned out, but it just irks me that Colin doesn't look in the camera. But that picture was perfect and the result is fine. It did take me some tinkering to place the circlet but all in all I'm satisfied in how prince Merlin turned out. Bonus point for my headcanon marriage ring that didn't look good (the manip is too small for decent rings renderings), but I managed to add another from a jewelry maker that does rings in a style very similar to Ygraine's canon ring. Be sure to visit their Etsy and die. Ygraine's sigil, that replace the medallion the original body was wearing, is a given as well. Too bad we don't have a decent prop pic of it. Now. Arthur. Bloody Arthur. Tinkering with the original body to change colors from blue to red was funny. The rest NOT. Replacing the original sword with Excalibur, which was mandatory, gave a mild result. Ygraine's ring is there but, given the small size, isn't looking good enough. And those were the easy things! Because then it came the time to place bearded Bradley. Now. We do have few nice bearded Bradley pics, courtesy of the man himself, but they were mostly too small to work with in this manip - and/or in poses that wouldn't fit the body. You might say: there's Vikings: Valhalla. No, my friend. I downloaded ALL the screencaps available and very few worked, and - given the costume the character wears, there was never a inch of Bradley's bearded neck. In the end I worked with one of the pics Bradley released on Instagram. A pic with a black background in which bear and hair blended in. And an hard shadow on the right side of the face. A nightmare to cut, a nightmare to fix. And then the crown. The crown comes from The Hollow Crown. It looks similar but it isn't the same refurbished prop (different decorations, slightly different proportions of the fleur-de-lis). Years ago, when I saw the pics, I decided this would be older!Arthur's crown, for it's more regal with its fake gems and golden coating. There wasn't a pic with the proper perspective, so I had to tweak it a bit. It doesn't look awful, mind me, but I feel something's off with how it's placed on Bradley's head. I can't tell what, though - I used one of Arthur's coronation pics as reference while working, but still I can't fix what's wrong. In hindsight I wonder if I should've used a crowned Arthur pic with the original crown and be done with it. And then Aithusa. We literally have two pics of her, unless you want to work with night/dark screencaps. I knew where I wanted to have her, no idea how to. Still not happy. Does she looks fake? Yes. But at this time I just gave up. Whatever. (Besides, the other options didn't work. Her standing promo pic at Arthur's feet? Her fore legs are in a different perspective. Her standing promo pic on Arthur's shoulders? There was enough space, her head would be cut out from the picture and there was no way to extend the base pic by 50px, that specific background is a bitch to work with).
