on june 11th 1993, mike wheeler drags his vaguely amused (and highly endeared) boyfriend will byers to the movie theater, shells out for the largest size popcorn they have available, and gets 2 premium, middle-row seats to watch steven spielberg’s jurassic park
(he’s been vibrating with anticipation ever since the first trailer came out. he makes will go see it with him another five times before it leaves theaters.)

"I feel bad for GhostSoap fans! They're dealing with what GhostRoach/GhostRoachSoap fans had to deal with!"
I don't feel bad. I can't wait to write dead fiance Soap content and tag it wrong on Ao3 AND be actually backed up by Canon.

Does Crowley actually love Aziraphale?
Tumblr media
The more I think about season 2, the more I write about it here on Tumblr and in fic, the more I'm starting to believe that he... doesn't.
Not yet anyway.
I think there is something deeply unhealthy about what Crowley feels for Aziraphale, as evidenced by how completely miserable he is this season. He's so afraid of losing Aziraphale, losing their "precious, peaceful, fragile existence", that he's worked himself into a constant state of anxiety. He's angry this season. He's upset. He's scared. He's trying so hard to hold something so tightly because he thinks if he loses it, he won't be able to survive.
He's always two minutes away from Aziraphale's door. He's sleeping in his car. Could he get another flat? I'm sure he could. Anthony J. Crowley could figure out a way to get another flat. He doesn't want to. He wants to be ready to go to Aziraphale at a moment's notice. He desperately does not want Aziraphale to go to Edinburgh, because he's afraid something will happen to him there. He doesn't give a shit about Aziraphale driving his car, he just doesn't want Aziraphale to leave. And then even when he does give in, he checks up on him, he puts some creepy "I can feel what you do to the Bentley" charm on his poor car, to keep checking up on him. The closer he feels to losing Aziraphale, the tighter he clings to him, until he's literally following him around everywhere (like when Aziraphale is trying to convince all the shopkeepers to come to his meeting).
I could go on. And on and on.
The point is, as we see from the Job episode, that Crowley is lonely. He didn't fit in at Heaven, he doesn't fit in with Hell, and from the first rainstorm in the Garden of Eden "our hero" has coped by clinging to the one person who has showed him any sort of relief from that loneliness.
He's not in love. He's obsessed.
He's been obsessed since the Garden. Popping up wherever Aziraphale is, following him around the Earth. Saving his skin, if need be, even though Aziraphale is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. And it gets stronger and stronger as the years pass, as they get closer to each other, as they get closer to Armageddon, and then as they deal with the aftermath.
Crowley never used the word "love" in his confession. I think that's a deliberate writing choice, not necessarily because Crowley didn't want to use the word. I think Crowley thinks it's love, but the fact that he didn't use that word shows the audience that it's not. He's desperate for the idea of an "us", even in season 1 he's obsessed with it, "we're on our side", "us against them." A group of the two of them. Crowley is obsessed with the idea that they are part of something together, something bigger than themselves, because Crowley is not part of anything else, not Heaven, not Hell, and he just wants to belong.
And with all that said... I think it's good that they broke up.
I think it's a good thing for Crowley. I think he needs to take a break. I think he needs to work on himself, work through some of his trauma. I think he can love Aziraphale, but he's got to do some work to get there.
Will we get this in season 3? We'll have to see...

Peter Cushing -- Art throughout his film years
He was always interested in costumes and would submit his suggestions to the wardrobe department using his drawings.
These were for "And Now the Screaming Starts"
Tumblr media
After riding his bicycle, Peter would end up in a local tea room and doodle people who came in on his crossword puzzle.
Tumblr media
He loved Disney cartoons and made many doodles for his wife, Helen throughout their marriage.
Tumblr media
Known for his attention to detail, Peter made many annotations to his scripts. He studied as much as he could about anatomy so he could make himself believable as a doctor.
Tumblr media
More of his wonderful doodles and watercolors.

here are some dc characters i imagine being south asian, except the list gets worse and worse
1. Raven ofc, she’s based on Miss India 1965, she basically should be canonically Indian atp. I like to think that she’s South Indian, and that her mother Arella’s side of the family is Christian since that’s a pretty common thing irl for South Indians.
2. Sue Dibny, mainly because I think her name Sue could easily be a nickname for Suhani and I think that’s adorable lmao. Also she’s a character I very much love, despite her cruel and unfortunate history. She IS one of the best detectives and I stand by that.
3. Zatanna. This one I’m not 100% serious about at all tbh, but in some panels she looks so very Desi that I’m just like??? Woah. Also can’t explain it but her personality/vibe also really matches. And it would be cool to have an Italian-Bengali or Italian-Pakistani girly.
4. Jason Todd. Controversial, I know, but his look in the Death in the Family movie was soooo…like you can’t tell me that’s not a Nepali man. Also it would make sense considering that he thought Shiva was his mom…there’d have to be a slight indicator of similarity somewhere. Also I deserve to see myself in a brown character who grew up poor in the streets and is unhinged.
Honorable mention:
I used to imagine Lois Lane as South Asian, but since her recent Korean depiction in the new superman show, I kinda dropped that idea lol. And I’ll never forget when I told one of my old mutuals about my Lois headcanon, and they were like “No, I think she’s Latina. I don’t agree with you at all” 🥲❤️‍🩹 anyways maybe she can be Korean-Bengali…

Reflection on GO2 and my own reactions to it
Okay so. I am better after sleeping on it. Because there are things that are settling in after first shock. Because to be honest, this writing is very much brilliant. My first emotions were mostly based on the fact that I have seen my fictional confort couples suffer and never getting together. We know this isn't the case here, we just need to take some time - like they said to Muriel. The fact that they are making Crowley, the demon, person who is right and who sees heaven and hell like they are, is brilliant. Crowley sees outside the black and white, but doesn't have words to help Zira to understand. He is traumatized, he wants to preserve his happiness and protect Zira. He just don't know any other way to do it. Zira on the other hand is pretty naive. He has always been and it is part of his charm. I think Crowley sees a lot of that innocence what he left behind in him. But that also means Zira thinks he can change the world the "right way". And he doesn't understand why Crowley would not want to come back to Heaven with him - because he doesn't see the fact that even if he changes heaven, it will change very core of Crowley. He honestly thinks he can change the already broken system from the inside without loosing his or Crowleys sense of self. He is in a cult and has an huge religious drama.
They need this break up. They need to find themselves first to be able to understand they are stronger together. If this was straight couple I don't think I would question it for a second - because it is very basic writing. And what comes to Beelzebub and Gabriel. I need to step back and realize I have some internalized transphobia as a femme preceived nonbinary person who is also marrying a man. I was so stuck on a fact that they made Beelzebub more feminine and how people outside our own community sees them that I played straight into that narrative. That is not okay. Their story was lovely and I think it is meant to mirror what it could be if Crowley and Zira just went their merry way. Difference is, Zira still thinks naively he can make a change. Also I think my soul healed a little when Crowley said "I'm not. Neither, actually". It is such a small line but it meant WORLD to me as a nonbinary person. And me down playing Beelzebub is counteracting that.

the kansas city chiefs should change their name to the kansas city chefs and instead of a wolf mascot, they can have someone dressed as a chef with a giant spatula. they can go around hitting fans with it when they try to do the chop, and pick fights with other mascots.

Oh my God:Satan I have a brilliant fic idea and I can’t wait to write it eeeeeeeeee
Yes it’s one bed trope
Yes it’s Crowley still upset and Aziraphale unsure how to fix it
But they talk because they’re saving the world
Crowley exhausted in bed
Aziraphale going through channels gasping every time there’s a sex scene but it’s late so good luck baby
And they start talking about the difference between love and sex and everything in between
And Aziraphale decides that maybe what Crowley is saying isn’t so wrong compared to his religious idea of how things should be
And Crowley learns what it is like to be touched with love
