What is the Accountability Archive?

(I was gonna make this an addition to another post but OP turned off reblogs while I was halfway through my deep dive so I'm making my own)

With any activism (or something trying to pass itself off as activism), especially list-making like this site, the most important question to ask is "why". What is the purpose? What do they hope to accomplish? How will this data be used?

The answer is......eh? The list is being compiled so that possibly someday some future historian might maybe think about wanting to form a committee to explore the possibility of..."understanding how 'power holders' manufacture consent". These power holders are, of course, politicians, but also journalists?, and "public figures", which is an extremely vague term. Am I a public figure? I certainly make my opinions public. So when these future researchers want to understand the nature of the current conflict, they won't need to look at the history of the region, the contemporary local politics as well as the international stage, and the personalities of the specific people involved. They'll just check out this eyesore of a website to find proof that slyandthefamilybook supports genocide. And future lawyers will be able to use this incontrovertible evidence to...sorry, to prosecute war crimes?????? Sorry, I couldn't help but laugh at that one. Well if I am on there it shouldn't be too hard to check. Surely a site called the "Accountability Archive" believes in transparency

Oh. Well. I'm sure if you pass their screening process they'll respond promptly from their encrypted archive-less email and definitely give you access. But don't worry. They have a "vision" of one day making this public. When are we the people going to be able to see the info? I want the juicy deets on who is and isn't a Zionist!

One thing I've noticed is the distinctly European spelling of some words like "dehumanisation" and "analyse". So who are these people even? They must have pictures, or names, or evidence of their bona fides. They claim to be "middle east experts" [sic] so surely they'll link articles they've written, or talk about degrees or accolades they've received. Something, anything to let us know that they're real serious people who know what they're talking about

“I love you” (is harder to say than expected)

Rin thinks he ought to tell you how he feels, but it seems it's harder than the movies made it out to be

Rin sucks at communicating; verbally, even more so. He's so pathetic, especially when he tries to tell you the three sacred words. His tongue remains stuck at 'I' and immediately shifts directions on the following words. What was supposed to be a heartfelt I love you, becomes an insult that says the opposite. (Although thankfully, Rin's learned to be careful enough to lock up the insults that would hurt you if ever it slips past his lips.)

You understood, you really did. So you never tried to push Rin to say it. Never forced him, never expected him to say it early on in your relationship. You were willing to wait. Rin knew that, but he still felt the need to tell you as soon as possible.

Rin knows he shouldn't probably take Karasu's words to heart. It was Karasu after all, he wasn't that much trustable. But Karasu's words taunts him day and night and gnaws him up on the inside leading to sleepless nights where he tries to practice saying I love you infront of a mirror with a small photograph he took of you covering where his face was supposed to be.

He succeeds—spectacularly practice wise. But when it becomes for real, he panics and gets tongue tied, the words never leaves his mouth and remains stuck on his throat, clinging desperately inside and refusing to go out, no matter what. So in the end, he leaves with nothing but a ruined pride.

Rin counts the days he's failed to say the three words he's sure you'd be elated to hear. Each day serves as a reminder for him to try harder, "If you don't tell them how you feel, they'll leave you soon enough you know?" it rings through his mind and the more the days he wastes without telling you he loves you, the more he panics and the louder the voices gets.

He figures he can show his love through his actions, maybe if he acts considerate enough you'll see the fact that he does love you an equal amount as you love him.

It worked. The smile on your face as he treats you to your favourite food place, tells him exactly just that. The small giggles that leaves your lips when he offers you his coat during the times you're cold tells him you get the memo. And he thinks this is fine. This should be fine. It should be enough proof to prove to you his love, right?

Not enough.

'The show your love through your actions' plan was a temporary fix. It only sent his insecurities away for a short while. He had to say it. He had to tell you someday—and it had to be soon. He realizes it whenever you look particularly envious when you see other people unbashedly professing their love for their chosen lover. And you won't say it (and he doubts you ever would) but Rin knows it.

Moments like these makes Rin hate himself, just a little bit. He feels powerless, incapable of being the lover you wanted him to be, you deserved to have. And it makes him clench his fist and grit his teeth in anger. But Rin perseveres, he thinks and thinks and thinks and thinks, until he's finally found it. A way to tell you I love you.

He could only hope that even in this, he won't back out like a coward. But it should be relatively easy, since all he needs to do is press a button and then the changes would be irreversible. It was perfect for him, he thinks.

"Bye Rin, I love you." you place a short peck on his lips, bidding him farewell before he heads to practice.

Rin nods, snaking his arms around your waist and squeezing you firmly, yet loose enough as to not hurt you. "Bye."

You stand by the doorway as he heads to the familiar path that would take him to a train station, waiting until he's out of your sight before heading back to your shared home and eat breakfast.

You hum a small tune as you prepare your coffee, scrolling your social medias as you wait for the water to boil. It's a surprise when you see Rin's profile popping up at your notifications. You slide it open, and what you see gets you choking on your spit.

Were you being delusional? You check once, twice, thrice, and even installed-uninstalled your messaging app a dozen times. It remains, the message remains and beside it is Rin's profile pictue that you took for him. You gawk, jaw agape as your eyes widens as large as that of a saucer. This was so, so, unexpected and out of character, perhaps somebody hacked into his account? Or maybe one of his friends took it and typed those words, you don't know, but you'd have a hard time believing it was him who sent that to you, especially with the kaomoji.

By this time, you fall from your seat. He sent it? That Rin did? Unbelievable.

The warmth seeps through your cheeks and it leaves you smiling like a gosh darned idiot. Ah. Unbelievable. You're laughing, this was truly so, so, ridiculous.

Without hesitation, you oress the call button on top of Rin's contact. On the third ring, he finally picks up.

"..What?" he's quiet, uncharacteristically so.

"I love you too" you said, your grin never once leaving your face.

The other side of the phone is silent, and you wait for a minute before he finally replies.

"Is that so? If that's all I'm hanging up" Without giving you a chance to say otherwise, he immediately hits the end call button.

You frown, grumbling at his rude behavior. "Mean."

The next message you receive while complaining leaves you pausing and smiling brightly for the entire day. Gosh, for someone deemed rude by most of society, he sure was quite the dork wasn't he?

A soulmate AU where you have the last words your soulmate will say to you before they die as a soulmark would be very interesting with the Danny Phantom fandom.

Would the soulmark change after the portal accident, but then stay the same until Danny's final death? Or would the mark change every time he transforms because he's technically dead in his ghost form? Does the mark change color or fade when he's in his ghost form? Or does it stay the same?

What if his soulmate met him once when they were kids? They just bumped into each other. Maybe the words are generic, but maybe they're not. Maybe his soulmate has to grow up knowing that they'll never meet again. And then after Danny's accident, their soulmark changes. Do they assume that Danny was revived and they'll meet again someday? Or do they assume that their mark is for a new person?

What if the soulmark words are super generic? Everyday Danny and his soulmate meet. Everyday their mark changes. But, they can't figure out who the other is because their marks are basic greetings or apologies.

Maybe Danny's soulmark stays the same while his soulmate's keeps changing.

Heya there!! I was wondering how you think the crew would react to the reader being able to speak a different language or pronounce certain things differently (accent and stuff)! I'd imagine they'd notice it at first and not seem bothered by it, but after some time they do ask and they learn! (I'd imagine along with them trying to figure out what's "inside" the reader, since they're a human, they'll also try and figure out *why* is it something that you can do in the first place, and might need some time to wrap their head around it once the reader tried to explain it to them the best they could. One thing I imagine is that eventually they'll ask the reader what a tree is called, or what an apple is called, or how you greet someone, etc etc. Just something that came to mind and wanted to tell, hoping that it would be fun to try. Sorry for the long message tho and apologies if it was already written about ^^')

As someone who Also has English as their second language, I'm happy to write for this :D!

I like to think that the cast of Welcome Home might already know multiple languages! Though it would depend on the popularity of the show, as it's related to which languages the series has been dubbed in. They typically all speak English to each other, as this is their 'original' language, but if you spoke one of the languages they unconsciously know, they'll switch to it without noticing! They don't really register themselves speaking any differently, until you might point it out.

They wouldn't point out your accent. In the neighbours' eyes, everyone is special and unique, you already a little more so than the rest of them, and that way of speaking is just Yours! They accept it completely. It's a bit difficult for them to grasp the idea of people being unable to understand what each other are saying, because they've never encountered such a thing before. Though speaking your native tongue then will be a quick demonstration.

They all pick up little bits and pieces here and there, but some are more interested than others.

Eddie is the one who most quickly grasps the idea of different languages. He's delivered to all sorts of places, and they've spoken in different ways there as well! ...Maybe? He can't quite remember. Anyway, he's really delighted to learn! The idea of different words for the same things is just interesting to him. If you happen to know a language that uses a different script than the one he's used to, he's especially fascinated. He had never even considered such a thing before! What if he someday gets a letter to deliver in a language he doesn't understand...? He has to remedy it! Eddie struggles a little with language learning because of his less than stellar memory, but he's trying his best.

Frank likes categorizing things in general, and so he's the one who's most likely to walk around the village with you, pointing at different things to find out their names. He'll carry around a little notebook, jotting all of it down as you speak. It's no surprise that he asks for the names of different bugs and plants before anything else! He likes to sprinkle words he's recently learnt into everyday language to make himself seem smart.

Its rare that Seafoam gets really stressed or overwhelmed. Its the mark of a good Captain to keep his cool when under pressure. But if there comes a time where his stress is high and he cant get away from the situation, he probably seeks out Octo for help. Getting him to take over so that he can step away or just to help him in general. In which Octo is always willing to help.

Octo is the same as Seafoam. Really good under pressure and rarely gets overwhelmed. But just like Seafoam, if things get to be too much he would seek out Seafoam for help. Maybe even getting Seafoam to take control so can get a few minutes to himself.

Red probably gets stressed a lot, the poor kid :< He just runs to Coco, Seafoam, Blue or even Octo if he can. Just the nearest parental/protective figure that can resolve the situation for him <XD

I can see Blue diving deeper or swimming out a ways from the ship when stressed. The whale equivalent of taking a walk <XD

Cuttlefish probably uses her powers to slip out of any situation and find a quiet space to calm down. Removing herself from the situation usually fixes her up pretty quick. Spider crab is the same, just going to find a space alone where he can calm himself down. Usually by taking deep breaths and soaking up the quiet.

Urchin, Louis, Coco, Tuna and Ellie probably would all just find a way to leave the situation to go pace and rant when stressed. Even if they have to make a scene in order to leave.

I can see Pinwheel fleeing to Seafoam whenever something becomes too much to handle. Getting him to step in and help her, though she might not fully leave the situation. Since Seafoam provides her comfort, she might hover nearby while Seafoam resolves the situation for her.. 🥺

I think Usopp should beat up Sanji, just once, maybe friendly sparring to improve Usopp's close range. And Usopp puts Sanji in a grapple and ends up straddling him and Sanji is weirdly into it, like way too into it. And this is pre relationship, so he can't exactly just topple Ussop over and kiss him but boy he wants to, and makes it way too obvious that he is into it. Meanwhile Usopp is so taken by the high of "beating" Sanji, wiggling and dancing in Sanji's lap and singing silly songs about him being the best, he doesn't notice Sanji staring up at him with stars in his eyes, ready to pounce on him like a starving man who just saw a banquet. Sanji is having a sexuality crisis, an identity crisis and is despairing because he needs to get the horny under control, he can't handle drooling over Usopp like he does Nami, it would be over for him and his dignity. Anyway, he ends up throwing Usopp off of him and running off to go have a big "thinking" session in the kitchen and Usopp is left staring after him confused and annoyed.

Neither of them noticed Zoro in the corner of the gym room watching them, pausing mid workout, because the mess was too entertaining to ignore. He has a gossip session with the rest of the crew afterwards and Nami hits him on the head because he was the last person to figure this out, even Chopper figured out Sanji's crush before him.

THIS IS SO FUNNY SLKEFDNSLNFLKSDFN Okay, so I can totally Sanji and Usopp training together, friendly sparring or whatever. And Sanji just- Fucking losing it. Because. Like. Same, bestie, have you seen Usopp??? Anyway- I can totally see this happening and Sanji having the biggest gay crisis while Usopp has no idea what's going on and thinks that he actually hurt Sanji's pride by winning or something. I think Sanji would panic so much in the kitchen. What would be even funnier would be Robin being in the kitchen already and asking, with an I-know-what's-going-on-I-always-do smile, what's wrong. Sanji panics even more.

Usopp has no idea what just happened but he at least won and he couldn't be happier. He's just a bit worried he might have actually hurt Sanji or something.

I also imagine Zoro being a fucking tease and being extremely proud for knowing Curly has a crush on Usopp, but when he tells the others, everyone's like: Uh, yeah, it's obvious. Didn't you know already? This has been going on for AGES.

And Zoro's extremely offended and looks at Luffy saying: YOU KNEW????

Wondertrans x Showtime (aka wxs gender hcs from someone that doesn't even know her own gender fully)

Emu: she/her + neos, trans girl. Realized it when she was really young, her grandfather was the first person she told for the most part, he helped her pick out her name ("it's fitting for a girl that can make the world smile, no?" ":') grandpa..."). Not necessarily open about it (her family was initially a bit confused by it but at this point they're more okay with it), but she won't deny it if someone figures it out, and is very loud about it with other LGBTQ+ people or if someone she cares about is questioning or dealing with dysphoria. Been on hormones for a while now, but still has bad dysphoria days sometimes, she tries to hide her struggles but if her friends see through it or help her say what's wrong they'll help her no matter what.

Rui: he/they/she + neos, the most genderqueer fella known to man. Is he transfem? Are they transneu? Is he just really gnc? Genderfluid? Multigender? No one knows, and Rui doesn't mind, they aren't the type for labels, they're just themselves. Started questioning her gender in junior high, and felt really confused and lost about it for a while, which definitely didn't help her feelings of being isolated or "other" compared to her peers. He knew about being trans or non-binary, but he didn't necessarily feel like those labels fit him, and even after getting help from Mizuki with these things he still didn't want to be that open about it. Once he joined WxS though, they became more comfortable with their identity, though they didn't immediately tell anyone outside of Mizuki or Nene out of fear of ostracization. Eventually, during a conversation about similar things, she came out to Tsukasa and Emu, who were nothing but supportive, and ever since she's been more comfortable with being openly genderqueer.

Nene: she/he, not exactly transmasc but not fully transneu either. Never really thought much about her gender, didn't see it as anything to worry much about. Supportive of Emu and Rui nonetheless, but never entertained thoughts of himself maybe being something similar (no time for gender when you've got anxiety and acting and video games). I like to imagine that the realization is almost smacked in her face, hitting her like a train. The fic idea that I've had is that one day a Rui-caused explosion burns his hair, forcing him to get it cut, and once he does he's hit with this sense of comfort and belonging with how he looked he'd never felt before. It wasn't like she'd felt uncomfortable with herself before, but this felt so much better? And it all sort of built from there, him eventually going to Rui for help once he fully realizes what's going on, and WxS help him and yay :D

Tsukasa: he/she (also dabbles with star/stars neos sometimes), not quite transfem or transneu but somewhere in between the two. Takes a while to realize he's trans, probably long after meeting WxS. Was ashamed and mad at himself for it at first, despite being cool with anyone else being genderqueer. She can't be trans, she's a star, she can't become a star if she is (even though she thinks the rest of his troupe can nonetheless). It takes a lot of reassurance from others in his life for him to accept it about himself, and once he does they try everything they can to help him feel cute and beautiful and euphoric and yay. I sort of have the idea that she realizes this after having to crossdress for a role in a show or something, might write a fic about that someday. (Also Saki and Toya are both vaguely genderfluid, so they also help star stop being a hypocrite and accept starself).

If you expressed any interest in looking into Jack's past, he'd do everything he could to shut it down. He's told you where he's from-Cloudy Town, he's told you about his friends and family from there, he'd thought that'd been enough. It isn't entirely a lie either but he's content to stick to it to keep you from prying.

Jack would assure you that this is who he is, who he's meant to be and always has been. There's nothing else to it, Sunshine, don't you believe him?

Naturally the production company and studio kept most if not everything under lock and keys. Keeping the information tightly secured under coverups and NDAs so a lot of your trails lead ultimately to dead ends. Jack just figures you'll tire out of it and give it up. He's here with you, in this moment, isnt it enough? It's a tinge frustrating but Jack doesn't have it in him to be upset at your curious nature.

Should you find a missing persons report or a photo of Joseph Cullman/Haberdae- Jack will absolutely flat out deny it. He won't even look at the photo. "Gosh, I mean...I guess he kinda looks like me I suppose but you know my name, silly." Jack will brush it off, saying that they even look a little similar is as close as you'll get out of him

Internally- mans is freaking the fuck out. That's not the person he is anymore, that's the real ghost in all of this. He's clean and free now, he's a better man, the best man. He isn't some troubled vagabond in tattoos and will even show you his arms and chest to prove a point.

After the song and dance, if you accept Jack's points and drop the interrogations and research- it's an IMMENSE relief. Hell, he's thrilled to help you get rid of all the materials you collected. After all, the paper shredder makes it all look like confetti! And there's something just so satisfying about seeing Joseph's face go through the shredder and come out in teensy little pieces.

But if you still press, continuing to pepper Jack with questions instead of kisses or staying late into the night online or at the library, it'll take a different turn of tact.

"...why don't you believe me, Sunshine? Have I done something wrong to betray your trust?" It's that hurt turn of voice and aching look on his features as though very wounded by you not beliving his answers. "I know you're just trying to help, it's very sweet but...you can't help this man. Not all people want to be found." Again- not entirely a lie. "Sunshine, this fixating isn't good for your health. That's enough screen time, let me help you get ready for bed."

He doesn't want to fry your computer. He doesn't want to hide your library card or materials. But he will if he has to and he'll absolutely insist that he didn't. You don't have proof he's this man you seem to think he is and you have no proof of him blocking your efforts.

Really, Sunshine. It's better to let the dead rest.

Is the afoquirk gonna kill shiggy?

If you're worried about this post, let me explain better what I meant.

I'm worried about Tomura's body after the quirk is gone, 'cause so far we have no way to know how a body would react to losing the afoquirk. With the other OFA users and AFO himself, well, they died before the quirk could be extracted. With Yagi, he was quirkless so he didn't suffer the strain caused by multiple quirks in a body. The same goes with Izuku, even if he lost the ofaquirk, his body would not react badly to it.

Would the strain of the afoquirk kill Tomura?

Maybe? but I think it is a possibility that won't happen now, more like a long term consequence of the events of the manga. What Tomura is doing has no precedents. The bnha universe has never seen someone go so far.

We know that quirks are evolution and that what happened with Tomura's body is part of that. For me, it's more of a question. If Tomura has gone beyond the state of everyone else on the planet, what does it mean for him once the battle is over? If his body evolved to accommodate the growing of his quirk(s), if he lost his quirk(s), what would it mean to his body? Would Horikoshi allow Tomura to keep the evolution of his body in the end? What would that mean to the story?

Bnha is a manga full of consequences. People lose limbs, they lose their quirks, they get scars and even lose their lives. I'm confident that Deku won't kill Tomura. That is, Tomura won't die during his face with Deku, no matter what. That's part of the condition the story set to turn Deku into the best hero ever.

Now, what will happen to Tomura after?

One option is to rewind Tomura to the time his body hasn't evolved yet. I think he didn't have that during his fight with Stars and Stripes, so it's a matter of rewinding days, maybe even a week, but no more than that. The problem is that Eri is still a kid and only a kid. She has been training, but you know how many out there need a rewind in order to survive? There's a shortage of power that only raises the stakes.

The other option is that the regeneration quirk is enough to deal with the damage, so Tomura can get out of the fight kinda fresh. I'd theorize that Tomura's physical evolution means that he does not need to worry about the strain of multiple quirks in his body, but that's a lie. Most recent chapters have shown the symptoms of the strain in his forehead, similar to the ones we've seen before in the OFA users. This one is not plausible to me. We saw how the rest of the members of the League of Villains ended up: beaten, bloody, full of wounds. I don't see why Tomura would be the exception...

Let's say Tomura ends up really hurt. All his quirks are gone. His body maintains its evolution, it acts like anyone else who has lost their quirks (ex. Iida Tensei, the former pro-hero Ingenium). They can survive, their body moves on.

The most logical thing according to the bnha narrative is that the afoquirk banishes like all the other quirks, nothing special. It's the route with less complications. Sometimes, the easiest way is the correct one lol.

I'm referring to how Horikoshi keeps the damage of the characters through time. Toshinori Yagi kept the damage of his fights with AFO, right? It's the same for many heroes and villains. They can keep living, but someday in the future they'll have to pay for their hero/villain feats.

Sometimes I like to entertain questions that help me understand what the story is trying to achieve or how it'd bend the events of the manga in order to fit the message the author wants to convey.

Bnha is a story about not repeating the mistakes of past generations. I'm sure they'll figure out a way to help all the villains survive, if only because the hero kids are invested in changing things. It's more about their own heroic ideals and less about "do those villains deserve to be saved?"

The answer is yes. Because that's what heroes do. They save as many as they can, if they can. There are no exceptions.

Summarized answer: No, the afoquirk won't kill Tomura Shigaraki in the manga. (At least I don't expect it to).

Incredibly obnoxious, Pandionpaw thinks she is the best apprentice in all of Mommyclan, as well as she's going to be the greatest warrior in all of the clan when she gets her warrior name. Whoever her mentor is has a lot cut out for them

Also constantly talks about becoming deputy and then leader someday. Just you wait, she's on the fast-track to become a warrior any day now! And then the leader will see she's so cool and give her an apprentice immediately, or maybe they'll even see that she's good enough to be deputy without an apprentice! She'd deserve it, after all (her own thoughts)

In addition to that, she's very very competitive as well! She tries to turn everything into a competition because she thinks it's fun and also she wants to win and show the others how good she is

Unfortunately, she does have the skills to back it all up. She is a very good fighter - and a good hunter when she can keep her mouth shut. However, her ego often gets herself into situations she can't win, so she often gets her ass kicked and ends up in the healer den, lol

She actually got that torn ear because she charged in to fight a fox over a large rabbit it had killed, much to the chagrin of her mentor

Though, that's only if her clanmates can catch her bleeding or limping or whatever. Pandionpaw tries to walk off just about everything, because she's tough, dammit!! This includes illnesses that she should really get checked out, but she's fine. She's fine! She promises! Don't feel her nose she's not warm she's fine -

Like the doodle above, if she thinks anything is unfair, she sure will say it. This is mostly to her fellow apprentices, but she can call out the more authoritative figures in the clan if she thinks it's a big injustice

She's a big scaredy-cat, but acts like she's not. She pretends like she's so brave and she'll lead the charge into the spooky hollow log - but as she gets closer she's like, oh, um... I guess we can go together. Like you wanted. I'm feeling generous!

Also a big lesbian. She doesn't have any crushes yet but she's a huge cringefail lesbian when she gets one. She gets even more obnoxious, trying to show off in front of the cat more than she usually would and snarks a lot more than usual (which is already a lot) trying to get them to laugh at her jokes

She's allergic to feathers and can't really eat or hunt birds because of it. This is something she routinely ignores, because catching birds is cool and impressive. She also denies ever having the allergy to anyone who brings it up. It's just some stray dirt up her nose! You don't know what you're talking about!!

Okay, so, um... Hi? So, I've been a lurker on Tumblr for a while, including the SWTOR tag, because I've got major social anxiety. Recently, I think I've finally worked up the courage to interact, which is great! Especially now, because I think I need advice about the game and don't really know where else to ask! Other social media sites scare me and I'm not currently a subscriber, so I can't access the SWTOR forums. :P

I've just finished Corellia on my Jedi Knight. She's technically my main, even though I already finished the class storylines for Consular and Smuggler. I got burnout on doing the planetary missions and side quests around Balmorra (I'm a huge goody-two-shoes, so I was doing almost every quest I came across) so I figured, hey, I'll just focus on the story for a while and come back to it another time! Except now I feel kinda bad for skipping them because my Knight's leveled at 53, when my other two finished their class stories around 60/65. I know over-leveling's pointless, but at the speed I take getting through stuff, they'll have to have raised the level cap again by the time I catch up. 🤣

Should I go back and do them before finishing the class story? I know it's pretty harmless to skip them but I dunno, I want to do as much as I can with my Knight so I haven't missed out on anything. My brother plays too, we share an account, but his philosophy is skip absolutely everything that's not important unless he's underleveled, so obviously we have differing opinions on the subject. 🤣🤣🤣 Can some more experienced players give me some advice? I'm paralyzed with indecision, help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, etc., etc., you get the gist.

Unnecessarily adding pictures of my Knight because she is awesome and I love her to pieces and I only really get to talk about her with my brother. I'm a writer/artist and I've got loads of stuff I've created about her and my other legacy characters but. y'know. extreme social anxiety says no sharing yet. You guys make such cool stuff and I'm a huge chicken, but I'm working on getting over that, so maybe someday I can actually tell their stories!

Favorite Killugon Headcannons??

Thanks for asking! I have a ton of headcanons about them because I've been into HxH for years and I think about them constantly... Some of the ones I have are longer and I'd like to develop them into fanfics eventually or at least individual posts, but here are some random shorter ones off the top of my head:

I prefer to think they end up with a similar height difference to the one they have now, just a few inches apart with Killua being a bit taller. This might be genetically unlikely, but it's my own preference.

They share a bed most of the time starting in Heavens Arena. Every now and then Killua will decide to go sleep in his own room (because they each get rooms in Heavens Arena for reaching the 100th floor), which leaves Gon feeling a bit lonely. They just get one room after Heavens Arena, and even if there are two beds in the room they'll still usually end up sharing one. The exception is if they're in a situation where someone else is likely to see them (i.e. Bisky in Greed Island), in that case Killua definitely splits off into his own bed. They don't generally intentionally, full-on cuddle/hug until after they reunite/get together, but they do end up sleeping right up against each other a lot nonetheless (accidentally or "accidentally"), which they both quietly love.

They're both casually touchy with each other, like arms over shoulders, fluffing each others' hair, play wrestling, sitting close together, sometimes even holding hands if one is guiding the other somewhere, etc., but again they don't really full-on hug until things change between them. Gon doesn't want to push Killua's boundaries too much because he knows Killua gets flustered if Gon gets too affectionate, and it's just an emotionally vulnerable thing to do. They certainly both think about it, though.

Gon is naturally an early riser and he's a deep sleeper, Killua struggles with insomnia because of his training and he tends to stay up late and sleep in if they don't have anything important going on. Killua's sleep patterns get more normalized by being around Gon, but he's usually up about an hour or more later even then (playing video games, watching movies, etc.).

Gon can make basic, simple foods because Mito taught him, Killua doesn't know how to cook at all at first because he grew up with butlers, but Gon gradually teaches him how to make some things. (They do eat out a lot, though.)

Gon tends to keep everything clean and tidy in their living spaces, Killua is a lot messier and will leave stuff laying around if Gon isn't there to remind him.

They teach each other about the differences in culture where they each grew up, like mythology/folk stories, holidays, popular phrases, etc.

They both have nightmares and flashbacks at times post-CAA (Killua always did, but they intensify) and once they reunite, they help comfort each other through those. It helps a lot once they're reunited, because they can easily know the other one is safe.

This may have to change someday depending on what Togashi does or doesn't do in canon, haha, but I like to think their separation isn't all that long, maybe a year or less, and once they're back together and working things out it doesn't take them all that long to confess to each other and start a relationship. Especially because once Gon realizes how he feels it's hard for him to hold it back; he only stops himself if he doesn't think Killua is ready to hear it yet.

Once they're in a relationship, it's basically like their natural state of being and they never even consider breaking up. Of course they both have things they have to work through and they have to learn to communicate better, but they adore each other and they're incredibly happy to be together. They're very affectionate with each other once they get through the initial stages of the relationship where they're just figuring things out.

Gon loves PDA, Killua is self-conscious about it but allows it in small doses because it makes him a little happy even if it's embarrassing.

They eventually have a house built on Whale Island, not far from Gon's childhood home. They have places elsewhere, too, because they love traveling around, but it's nice for them to be able to go "home" when they want to.

They never grow out of having silly competitions, light-hearted bickering, playing harmless pranks on each other, etc.

I could go on and on, but at least this is a start. It was fun thinking about it and writing some up instead of just having them live in my head all the time, thanks again for asking!

idk if its too early in the story to ask this but what elements or plot points did you want to into obt that never made the cut

// it is a bit hard to figure out everything that could be cut since there's still a lot of story left, but there are a few things that I'm certain of dropping! I don't necessarily wish I kept all of these, but some things were established in my head for so long it feels weird to drop them.

- Malachi having a crush on Rune (cut because I changed their ages from being a year apart to making Rune about 8-10 years older than him)

- Rune staying mute and learning sign language from Dielle (a cute idea still! But I wasn't experienced enough with art and storytelling to pull off drawing gestures or commit to learning a new language myself, and I preferred having Rune speak)

- Yohann is much less present in the current story than I originally planned :( this may change in the future still, but I originally wanted him to come on the expedition before he was swapped out with Eilwyn.

- Some recruits were trimmed even though I really liked them! A Snubbull, Beautifly, and Girafarig were all recruits that I enjoyed using, but might not have room for in the comic outside of cameos. Maybe they'll still show up someday? A bit unlikely at this point though, the gang is pretty well established.

- Not a part of the main comic, but I sometimes wish Dielle's Wish could've been expanded on more! The way Mateo was written felt a bit on-the-nose, but digging deeper would require a lot more time to establish everything, which wouldn't be achievable in under 50 pages.

- Since Maelstrom doesn't have a physical body, I tend to... forget to write dialogue for her. This will work to my advantage soon though, for secret reasons.

- And not exactly cut content, but I'm still not the hugest fan of chapters 1-3, even with the rewrites. It was a bumpy path trying to figure out everything I needed to for the comic as I went, and these were the chapters that needed the most establishment in worldbuilding. Having a solid explanation for what a mystery dungeon is, the relationship between exploration teams and wild pokemon, or how aura works, I think could've helped streamline my writing later where I try picking up the slack. Live and learn though, I don't have any plans to redo the early comic again.

A Letter to Someone I'll Never Talk To Again: Part One

Dear "Muppet"

Most people start off a letter by asking how you are, but I don't want to waste words on something that doesn't affect my life. I hope you're doing well, but it's really none of my bsiness in the end. I wish like hell that that wasn't true, but wishes are for wishful thinking. You know me, always the life of the party.

I haven't changed all that much since our time. Okay, that's a lie. I've changed a lot. See after you left, and everyone watched me go down, I vowed to change. That I would someday change back into the person I was at my happiest. I thougth that's what mattered, being happy.

The problem with this fool proof plan was that I was a fool with guesses. I was at my happiest with you, so that means I'll never be that person again. That person is officially dead and buried and his rotting corpse is why my breath stinks to badly in the morning. It leaves a foul taste too.

I knew you were with him during the last month of our relationship. I always wonder if you ever figured out that I figured it out, playing Sherlock Holmes but with a far less interesting story that you already know. I knew he was there while I was at work. And I bit my tongue because I loved you so much. I loved the person I had fallen in love with.

That person I fell in love so deeply with, was different than the one you were at the end. And I guess that's kind of a given fact since you were fucking someone else while we were in our relationship. I've had some bad relationships, the one after you especially difficult, but one thing i can say is that I've never once cheated on any partner I've had. Even if I wanted to, I never did it. Not even has payback. I didn't really give all thought about it.

Why would I? It never mattered what you did. From the very first time you stepped into that bar to the very last time you walked away from me, I knew I was yours. I was yours and I would do anything for you. So I even forgive you for all of this stuff too.

That doesn't mean I wasn't a problem too. I was caught in a delusional world I had built in my head, and I wouldn't get out of it until you left me. I think that was the shock that snapped everything into place. The catalyst, you could say. I was a liar and a con artist with the charisma of Charles Manson. I could get anyone on my side before you. I used those skills. I did it constantly. Tell a lie, something so far off and unreal that was obviously lie, and I'd wait for sometone to take the bait. Once they took the bair, the game was on and I ould try to convince someone that I was right, even when they knew I wasn't. It worked more often than not, and looking back, that frightens me so much. I was so good at it. Either that or everybody was somehow in on the joke. I did it too twice that I can think, but that number should be higher.

I really lost it after you left. And you saw it. The last phone call I ever got from you was the morning after a very awful evening. I don't remember the evening. I was mixing cocaine and being black out drunk. Somehow, I managed to piss everybody off and was taken outside to get the shit kicked out of me. You called the next morning, after hearing abot the beating and my awful behavior. Yout told me your roommate was super pissed at me. I tried to apologize on Facebook and maybe find out what happened, but he read my message and proceeded to block me/ That was it then. That one less than a minute long phone call.

They'll be letters soon, but for now I'm tired and my eyes itch behind my glasses. Time to start the ritual you loved so much in the beginning but by the end hated. And that's how it goes. People change, and there is absolutely nothing one could do. Our time together meant and still means almost everything to me, and at the way it's going, I'll be seeing you when my eyes close for all of eternity. Even without well-respected no contact clause. I almost broke when I came across your picture in a box of random papers. But I didn't. And the number I refuse to delete from my sim card may not even be your number anymore. I've probably gone through 100 different numbers since yo split.

I have to stop now, or I never will.
