This makes so much sense why Kipperlilly was asking about how Kristen made Yes! And specifically Where she made Yes! at.

Kristen made a whole new Deity through Arthur Augfort's office and school. As a powerful cleric she reached into the Astral Plane and made life out of her questioning and worship. She temporarily had access to the realm of dead gods to make something from nothing. This was all set in the making from day one.

Jace was working with Kalina and Arianwen to revive The Nightmare King and The Rage Goddess. That's what Ragh saw in front of the office after Prompocolypse. They used Kalvaxis wanting to regain his power as a bigger play to bring back their corrupted and dead deities. A chess piece in a series of steps.

While Kalina was going to bring back The Nightmare King, Jace would work on bringing back The Rage Goddess through Elmville. Kristen already proved that Augefort Academy has access to the Astral Plane. He found and targeted students susceptible to rage, took them to the Mountains of Chaos where the Divine Wedding took place and force the students to make a choice: live for Rage or stay dead.

The Rat Grinders made that choice except for Lucy. Which is a problem because the Need a Cleric. The people the Rat Grinders killed from the school have been Clerics, because with Kristen's method you need a powerful connection to a Deity and Worship to bring life to one.

Lucy worshiped a Giant Goddess, she would have been perfect but she refused.

Yolanda gave up any affiliation to a specific deity, neutral but powerful in worship. She would be a worthy vessel but she refused.

Buddy was brought to always be killed. A follower of Helio, the son of Sol who had corrupted the Goddesses in the first place. He is the grandson of a powerful Cleric, and has that same connection and power within himself. Kipperlilly didn't kill Buddy in panic, that was the plan all along: bypass Obliviti Mori by killing a cleric to meet the Rage Goddess in the Astral Plane, then revive them to spread the word and start the ritual. Buddy was just the first one to accept.

Like in Sylvaire, they are seeding Rage to make their own version of the Nightmare Forest to bring back The Rage Goddess. It's going to bloom and spread, rake over Elmville and the Augefort Academy where the Astral Connection is.

These plans have been started since Freshman Year, and have been defeated all because on goblin was just trying to find his babysitter and another halfling just couldn't handle that.

Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is so….

I know, I’m always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks it’s the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.

Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias that’s unbecoming of a journalist.

Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!

What does it achieve?

Cause honestly the anti-vote thing makes no sense to me. Someone is going to be US president (unless the US govt is overthrown before its next presidential election) whats the benefit to choosing not to have a say in it?

I've never advocated against voting, but as an Australian whose country has compulsory voting, you should know better than anyone that increasing voter turnout isn't going to keep the conservatives out of power, let alone transform a bourgeois democracy into a proletarian one.

I don't think there's any benefit to voting or not voting. Without an active, popular and class conscious worker's movement, the choices on the ballot are nine times out of ten going to be choices pre-approved by representatives of the interests of the capitalist class. You don't have a say in any of it because it's all been decided before the ballot was printed.

There is a tendency towards non-voting on both sides of the aisle. In the US, usually one third to one half of registered voters do not vote for one reason or another in the general election, and voter turnout is usually worse in local or special elections. Polls have shown that the political distribution of non-voters does not differ significantly from the political distribution of voters. So this idea that voter apathy is some particularly left-wing sin that will bolster the chances of a Trump or otherwise conservative victory doesn't hold water.

In the US at the present moment, the anti-capitalist left is disorganized and fragmented. There is no effective means at this point in time to organize a boycott of the next election or to promote a third-party presidential candidate. Most left-wing Americans who choose to vote will probably vote for Biden, and those of us who are not planning on voting or who are planning on voting for a third-party candidate are not going to be convinced by the same old moralizing arguments that tell us we're to blame if Trump wins. Most people don't live in swing states to begin with, meaning their votes aren't likely to impact the presidential race. I live in a state that has voted Democrat for the last nine elections and has only gotten more blue as time has gone by. I think it's safe to say my vote isn't going to change that this time.

Education and organization, in my mind, are far more important than voting. Workers as a class should be trying to gain enough power and influence to direct the decision-making, not fighting over which of our pre-approved decisions is least bad. Vote for whoever you like. At the end of the day, it's not going to be leftists on Tumblr who decide the next election.

you know that what if show marvel has? i am the only one who wants a what if show but with dc characters, espically one spefic to young justice. There are some many possiblities with with a what if young justice alone. what if instead of virgil being the only one who joins the team at the end of season 2 he's the only runaway who doesn't? what if tye got the beatle instead of jaime? What if bart died instead of wally? endless possibitles

I find the contemplation of what if scenarios so fascinating to think about - it's the whole reason I named this blog as I did - because I’m fully aware that none of the things I say on here will ever canonically happen but it’s still fun to think about what if they did… Like you said anon, endless possibilities! ANYWAY, back to your what ifs… I am very much intrigued by the one where Tye gets the scarab instead of Jaime… that would be such an interesting scenario to explore…

Mainly because with Jaime, he was always able to be the voice of reason and ensure scarabs violent suggestions were never acted upon… however, with Tye, I don’t think that would be as definite a case… unlike Jaime, who has been surrounded by a loving, supportive family he’s whole life, Tye has had to endure living within a very toxic and abusive home environment, left feeling powerless and under constant threat because of Maurice’s dominance. That difference in experience creates a very different perspective when it comes to whether one should or should not do something in the name of defence… not to say Tye would go full on villain mode if he possessed the power of the scarab, but put him in front of Maurice with all that power and I don’t think he’d be as dismissive of scarabs suggestion of “defence” as Jaime was when he went up against the jerk.

Ngl… I’m a little bit obsessed with this idea now - thank you so much for sharing anon!

Honestly after all of this it feels like the Vulture would be Kristen's icon, the representation of her faith. Like if they paint murels of Kristen there would be a vulture overhead in the background. Because it is now just as symbolic of mystery as Kristen is

Vulture appears in locations of mystery and clues (minthril factory). People put faith in vulture when there is honesty no reason or explanation for it, innate trust to ask and risk. It "seems sinister inso far as all vultures seem sinister" is off-putting as much as having a religion of doubt is.

And the payoff of putting trust into the unknown has worked. Kristens faith is going for the vulture instead of anything rational to help her party summoned The Vulture Dimension. Their trust and acceptance of vultures let the heroes be freed of paralysis peacefully and granted them powerful magical items. These items when consumed led to major breakthroughs in mystery and uncertainty. Fabian reaching out to the rats to find the bodies of Yolanda and Lucy, find signs of giants and the hidden name sigil. Kristen with absolutely no prompting or plan or explanation why she didn't trust Buddy, ate the eyeball for truesight to see Kipperlilly and force her to bail whatever plans she has.

So the vulture absolutely now belongs into Cassandra's domain as a holy animal

Actually as a RusAme fan I love to see Imperial Russian - USA as best friends like you said and...annoying is not really how I choose to describe a best friend lol (though maybe you could say annoying but endearing at the same time for a best friend haha)

But yeah I'd love to see Hima portray Imperial Russian - USA bestfriendship more in depth / in more serious tone lol.

Sorry if this is not the nyotalia version but imo you could change Ivan to Anya and Alfred to Amelia and it will be the same (at least in my opinion bc history should be parallel between canon and nyotalia version)

I’m not trying to be rude(trust me, I agree with a lot of your opinions on the show) but like..Millie is allowed to be one note and reoccurring. For example, Amity Blight from The Owl House is a very one note character whom has her main traits be “Luz” and “perfection”. She’s very bland but it’s not a criticism, characters are made to fill the roles they play and both Amity and Millie just fit the romantic partner with some extra traits(although, admittedly Millie could fit the “good wife” role better.)

I see what you mean, however Amity is different from Millie. Amity was introduced to be this one note character from the start because her purpose was to change eventually thanks to Luz, as well as set up their future romantic relationship. She was the mean girl that needed to be put in her place, because she was driven so hard to be the one to succeed (foreshadowing her future backstory with her parents on how she was pressured to be perfect). Honestly to sum this up, Amity was clearly introduced as one note because the writers clearly did that on purpose so they can build up her character for the story. Helluva Boss and The Owl House are….completely different shows in many ways. More importantly the Owl House is story driven, so that’s why Amity needed to be one note so they can progress her later. Helluva Boss on the other hand kinda has no excuse. The show introduced itself as a comedy about demon assassins, a show kinda like The Office where these characters just bounce off of one another. Of course until they wanted to make the show story driven and character driven at the same time, becoming a deep show as well. Millie is introduced as Moxxie’s wife, a badass girl yet having a sweet side, and…..that’s it. The show had time to develop characters like Moxxie, Blitz, and Stolas, but Millie is one of the 4 main characters and yet she has zero development. Part of the problem is that this show…let’s be honest, is now mainly centered around Stolitz, when Stolas at the start wasn’t even supposed to be a main character. Millie is literally part of this main cast, and yet she’s just the badass happy wife and that’s it. And the thing is…once again they HAD the chance to layer her, they could have done so in episode 5 because they literally set up how they’re going to her home town and meeting her parents, yet the writers don’t do that. They could have also layered her in episode 6, as they had set up how she has a prejudice against Hellhounds, and since Loona is SUPPOSED to be another main character, they could have bounced off of one another and worked together to save Blitz and Moxxie….yet they didn’t do that either. When I say I want Millie to have development, I’m not begging for like…something big to happen to her, just give us SOMETHING, show us her other sides, more interests, hobbies outside of Moxxie. She just feels like a character on the back burner right now, someone stuffed to the corner like Loona, while Viv keeps on writing Moxxie, Blitz, and Stolas.

What are your main concerns regarding authority, such as its potential for corruption, the negative impacts of centralized power, or the 'bureaucrat class' issue? Additionally, what is your ideal societal structure—numerous small local communes, one large commune, or something else?

Authority and power are inherent elements to any attempt to change society. Every revolution is authoritarian, every revolution is an expression of power. Overthrowing a corrupt and authoritarian government requires seizing the power and authority to do so.

I think any negative impacts of centralization are not a question of "should we centralize power" but rather "when, where, and how is power centralized". Obviously if you have one person calling the shots with no oversight then that's a massive weak point for whatever system you're setting up, which is why successful revolutions and governments in the past set up systems of devolution and delegation to distribute power when necessary. It's a balancing act, and any theorizing we do can only ever be proven through practice.

I think corruption and bureaucracy are best combatted through good governance, transparency and democratic oversight.

I don't know what an ideal social structure would be. Social structures are subject to constant change and development in response to material conditions, which in turn shapes the ideas that govern our efforts to change society. It's an evolutionary process. What I would like is a society free from poverty, exploitation, oppression and hatred. I believe the communist movement is our best means of achieving such a society.
