Hi! Can you do a little headcanon for the neighborhood with a human reader who hates touch? Like, really really hates it to the point they will do anything to avoid it unless like needing it for a panic attack or something to ground them? I really like your human in the neighborhood stories and wanted to see what you come up with :))/nf

It's something that you would have to be clear about! Many of the neighbors show their affection through touch: Julie and Eddie like to hug, Sally is the type to just randomly jump onto people's backs, and it's common for Howdy to just pat someone on the head with one of his many hands. Once you tell someone however, the news would spread around fast! There are so many things different about you already that they don't really question it.

Julie would be the type to make something like coupons however, and give them to you! Tickets cut neatly from pieces of paper, and drawn upon with crayons, reading things such as: 'Redeem for One Free Hug! <3' and 'Headpat Required'! That way, it might provide you with a way to ask for touch that doesn't make you feel quite as vulnerable.

Hiya, hello, and welcome once again! This is a tentative return post, I will be trying to go through the inbox and answering some asks in the coming days. I think human!reader would be the smartest neighbor in the neighborhood, proly since they know more than the puppet (Frank got sum rival-)

Definitely the neighbour with the most book smarts. Simply because of the vast amount of knowledge you have that would be impossible for them to access. Even if you only know tiny bits and pieces about certain topics, it's a lot to them!

Depending on how much you share this knowledge around, Frank will see you as a direct threat to his reputation. He's always been the bookworm, the smartest neighbour around, and he's bothered if people start turning towards you for advice instead. Certainly, he's the one that will give you the most prickly welcome. But his curiosity and desire knowledge wins out over his pride in the end, because he cannot deny that he wants to know about all of the knowledge you've gathered as well.

Accept the olive branch that Frank ends up extending to you, and you'll find yourself attending regularly scheduled 'information exchange meetings', where he lets you talk about whatever subject you wish as he takes notes.

Do you think Wally has ever made the mistake of drinking paint at one point? I like to believe when he was a much younger adult he just straight up drank some because he was curious. It didn’t do anything *bad* to him but he probably got sick for a while after

Now that's an interesting question! I personally have the headcanon that the puppets don't drink as liquids are hazardous to their bodies, but I can imagine that Wally did it once out of curiosity. With his eyes, of course. He doesn't taste in a way that's understandable to anyone except himself, but safe to say, it was not good. He couldn't get his hair up the way he wanted for days afterwards!

How would the crew react to a human reader with facial piercings and tattoos, and the reader explaining how and why they got them (I feel like wally would be especially interested in the tattoos)

They would find them very interesting! Tattoos and piercings would be the kind of body modifications that they would never have thought of before... I actually think they'd be less hesitant to try them out, because piercings can't leave scars and ink doesn't leave permanent marks on their bodies. (They can be stitched up and rigorously washed out, respectively.) Each of them would try one thing or the other out for a time, though whether they keep them as permanent additions to their bodies is another thing entirely. Like with humans, it would be something very simple!

Wally would, indeed, be very interested in designing tattoos! It's an entirely new and different kind of canvas for him to paint on... He likes it. All of his designs are rather simple and within his typical style, though!

Still working my ass off at the moment, but I’ve been thinking about a silly Wally headcanon that I must share;

If Wally ever, through some kind of means (most likely human!Reader) finds out what tone tags are, he would absolutely use them out loud in conversation. Just says ‘slash j’ when he makes a joke, after a couple seconds of silence. His voice is so monotonous that it is actually useful.

Funnily enough, I'm not the type of person that really gets into character x character ships! Reader insert / Self insert have always been my preferred way of interacting with fandoms. I'm not sure it anyone asked you this but who is your fav character so far? Or which characters of the cast you would like more info on! (Mine is...well Home! Lol but I also cannot pick either way my mind of racing on what the others might know and might not know) also I love wally being a silly little guy even tho his staring scares me

Hmmm!! That's a very good question, and I'm honestly not really sure yet! My answer might change as the story goes on, honestly...

My favourite character to write for is Wally, without a doubt!! He has (in my brain) a lot of interesting quirks I can work into my writing, and the whole mild horror thing he has going on... It makes him very fun to write for!

But who GENERALLY SPEAKING my favourite character would be... Probably Sally! I am just a very big fan of cheerful characters who have a lot of energy, a little bit of a troublemaker side as well- I just like those kinds of characters a lot! Also all her plays are focused on fairy tales, so maybe she has some books lying around the house.
