Hey hey, it's that time of year again! And just like last year, this was finished in the nick of time hehe. This year was probably the most productive year for OBT like, ever, and I'm so excited to have gotten this far! Chapter 8 will conclude early in 2024, with Chapter 9 taking about half of the chunk, and the rest going towards Chapter 10 which is shaping up to have another massive page count. I hope you're all as excited as I am!

New Portraits!

As you can see by the previous Dielle ask, Ask OBT now has spiffy new portraits for the characters! Considering their portraits haven't been updated since Chapter 4 (aaaall the way back in 2021), I figured it was time to freshen them up a bit! Just look at all those happy faces.

This project is still a work-in-progress (and will probably continue to be one for quite a while), so asks will continue to be a bit slow as I make new portraits for 'em. I hope you all look forward to this little art update!

all illusion's eyes are yellow.

Groudon has a very very faint yellow-ish glow. as well as there being small wisps coming off of him. Or towards him.

The glow effect is present the entire time the team is fighting him.

Groudon's text box is the same colour as Uxie's.

Erudite: An excellent effort. I commend your attention to detail. I may also highlight that those who have fought my illusions tend to suffer from common psychic-related injuries, rather than burns.

Erudite: For that reason I try to be flashy and scare my opponents, rather than landing blows directly. If I hit them too many times, they'll catch on to the fact that they aren't actually being attacked with stone or fire.

Erudite: And most moves landed on my hologram appear to not have any effect, on account of being an illusion...

Erudite: Barring dark-type ones, of course.

To Woo: from the two formally human characters being the Guildmaster and Rune I noticed something. Both are heavily implied to have either suffered a fatal injury or have died as humans. Does this mean some if not all humans turned pokemon was saved from the brink death by legendaries how chose them as champions in this world?

Rune: I mean... I don't think I died as a human? But I guess if I did, maybe I'm glad I don't remember it...

Guildmaster: I definitely died!! But Yveltal was really nice and brought me back! I don't think all Arms can do that. Or maybe they can!!

Guildmaster: ... I wish Rune remembered what it was like. But, um... I don't think I should ask her until she wants to...
