Mother | Mother!Toxin x Reader
... just like it and make me feel better. I know someone’s going to ask so I’ll mention it here, Toxin is my oc! I wish she was someone in the game ;-; This is, technically, a Genshin fic bc you live in the Genshin world, but you just live with my oc!
Toxin’s not the best, but I do think she’d make a good mom. I don’t think she’d ever have a biological child, but she would adopt one. Also, yes, in this fic your dad is another oc of mine, I just didn’t want to say his name. I don’t know how to tag this... so it’ll just be under x reader lol Ok! Happy reading!
You’re over 18 btw <3
Word count: 1.1k
You were Toxin’s biological child. You were born in Ebos, but raised in Teyvat. You’d never seen the world you were born in, you never knew your father or the other legends, and you knew nothing of your home.
Your father hadn’t abandoned you, so you never blamed him. And even though you felt out of place, Teyvat was your home. You were raised near Liyue and unlike the locals, you had no vision. Not that you needed one.
You hadn’t inherited Toxin’s poison mastery either, which was something she was happy about. Instead, you’d inherited her ability to harness energy and use it as magic.
You were actually quite sad you couldn’t use poison like your mother, but she kept reminding you that it was quite a dangerous ability, one that had cost her greatly.
Toxin was a really good mother. She took great care of you when you were a child and continued to raise you through your teen years. Once you were old enough, she started to teach you how to harness the magic in the world of Teyvat and use it for yourself.
She even taught you how to fight, and though she was a strict teacher, she was a great one. Since she had been a warrior in the past, she knew exactly how to teach you.
Though she seemed like a villain- and she had been one- she was quite the opposite when it came to parenthood. She was soft, gentle, caring, strict when needed, but never… evil. Since you didn’t live in Ebos, no one could tell you the atrocities your mother had committed.
You let out a scream as your back hit the ground and huffed. You stared at the bright blue sky, breathing heavily as your weapon fell beside you. After a few moments, you sat up and looked at your mother, who didn’t even seem to be phased.
“You’ve gotten stronger,” she commented as she walked towards you and bent down, holding her hand out, “get up.” You took her hand and she hoisted you up, patting your head as your weapon floated up to her hands. “Is this too heavy?”
“It’s a little heavier than the last one. I was thinking maybe we could redesign it? I wanted to add more (color) onto it.” You suggested with a smile and she nodded.
“Sure, we can do that. But let’s try to make a weapon that’s comfortable before we start adding designs and colors.” You giggled sheepishly thinking back to the previous four weapons you’d designed… and found that didn’t work well for you.
“Right.” Toxin only chuckled as she held your weapon out to you, which you took with a soft “thank you”.
Another thing you didn’t inherit from Toxin was her size. Unlike the hulking 8’2 that she was, you were only (your height). Your father had been much taller, standing at about 10’3. Since you’d never met your father, you had never seen just how tall he was, but you knew this was a shared trait between your parents.
That height was something you always wished you had. Even though your mother stood out wherever she went, it was something about her that you loved. When you were a child, she would carry you in her arms and you could see everything. You didn’t even need to sit on her shoulders.
“Hey, mom?”
“Yes?” She asked, as she started walking back towards your home. You quickly followed her, noticing her slowing her stride so you could keep up.
“Will I ever be tall like you? Dad was really tall too, right?” Toxin nodded and looked down at you.
“He was. But you don’t want to be this tall.”
“How come?”
“It would mean that you were chosen by the Nexus.”
“Isn’t that a good thing though? To be a celestial warrior like you would be amazing! The entire world would know me and I would be so powerful!” Toxin stopped and looked down at you, making you fall silent.
“I was never chosen by the Nexus. My height comes from harnessing too much magic and my body had to make up for it. You father and his friends were chosen.” Toxin crouched down to be close to eye level with you. “Being chosen by the Nexus is an honor, but it’s also a curse. Much like my own abilities. Being powerful… isn’t that great of a thing. Look at where your father and his friends are, the world used them until it no longer needed them.” You frowned and looked down before asking the one question that always plagued you. Of course, you’d asked Toxin numerous times already, but her answer never satisfied you. No matter how many times you’d hear it.
“Will I ever meet dad?” Toxin stood up and started to walk away, her voice carrying to your ears and breaking your heart.
“No.”
You turned around and glanced out into the distance. The sun was going down, painting the sky in orange. It looked beautiful, which added to your sorrow. Although you had a wonderful life with your mother, you wanted to meet your father. Toxin never lied to you about your father, she never hid anything from you relating to your father, and she never sugarcoated what happened to your father. But knowing how your mom was able to come back to life, you always held hope that maybe your father would too.
“Dad… I hope I can meet you one day,” your eyes flickered to the sky, “hopefully before I die… because there’s so much I want to show you here.”
Toxin watched from afar and placed a hand on her chest. If she had the ability to give you what you wanted, she would. She, too, missed him. There were many nights she wished she could see him once more, even for a moment. But the cruel reality of Ebos and the Nexus was something she couldn’t change or fight. If she could, she would’ve stayed in Ebos with you.
“... if I could, my sweet, I would give you the world. I would tear heaven and earth apart for you… but that’s not what you want… and that’s what I’m good at.”
You were still happy, whether Toxin knew or not. Because even though there were days where you missed your father- someone you didn’t even know- your mother had always been there for you. She’d been the one to take care of you and raise you, she was the one who trained you and taught you to use magic, and she was the one who took care of every bruise and cut you’d managed to get. Your father hadn’t abandoned you, but you knew you’d still favor your mom over him.

I had so many ideas on what to write about today but I was scrolling through the Obi-Wan tag during my break and I came across a huge post that had been baffled and a bit crazed. It was labeled about forgiveness and mercy and such but it was like a huge insanely interpreted post about the Jedi Order and some of the characters. Of course I wasn't about to start any sort of argument (and wow was the post long) but I just had to write something, at least, in my own post, unconnected with theirs. I guess this is a reaction and buckle up cause it seems like this is going to be a long one. I have a lot to say and I'm not gonna stop being all anxious about it until I do but uh....
I'm sorry, did we watch the same movies?
They go through a lot of movies and completely do a opposite take on the Jedi; how they are "unattached" (I say this because there are so many misconceptions about the word) and celibate (which we know isn't actually true) and how Anakin becomes living proof why this attitude is wrong.
First of all, it's not an attitude; it is a way of life. One that has worked for thousands of people over millennia. Second; their point WAS proven. Anakin turned to the dark side and became a sith. He committed genocide after genocide (the Jedi, Mandalore, Alderaan, Lasan etc.) and in the end, he only turned back because of his son. Which, may seem good on the surface, but it only goes to show how no other children or people that he murdered actually mattered, it was only his blood child that did. But that's not where I'm going. You don't actually see him regret doing the countless things he has done (probably because he dies) and he only does this because of his blood son. It, for me, gives the impression that blood means everything.
Anyways, there is quite a bit of talk about Obi-Wan and honestly? It is all not good. I'm not blind to Obi-Wan's faults but in general? He is a really good person; he tries so hard and goes through so much and is ugh, always trying. Obi-Wan shows no understanding? What? What? Did we watch the same movie? I mean it has been a while since I have watched Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith (they hurt my heart because ugh) but that is NOT what I remember. I remember Obi-Wan teasing Anakin gently to get his mind off of his anxieties when they were going to see Padme again. I remember Obi-Wan saying "dude don't be a horny teenager" (not in those words obviously, but that was essentially the message). I remember him literally parenting and teaching him - like he's supposed to do. I remember him trusting Anakin to do the right thing and to protect the Senator alone, by himself. I remember Anakin saying he's been having dreams - not visions or anything and nothing specific, just about his mom - and Obi-Wan going "it's alright dude, those pass in time". I mean everyone has DREAMS, that's not beholden to force-sensitives. My dreams sure as heck don't mean anything. Just cause he is a Jedi and COULD have visions, does not mean they are. And he didn't tell Obi-Wan they were visions, he literally says dreams.
(this is about the time that I wish I could work with gifs and understand them)
Anakin is not stronger than Obi-Wan; I mean, really? Sure, more powerful? I guess? But let's go back. Who beats who on Mustafar? Obi-Wan. Who does NOT murder a bunch of children and turn to the dark side? Obi-Wan. Literally, sure, he's more "powerful" with the Force, because I guess that is the whole point but he's not stronger or wiser than Obi-Wan because as Captain Rex said "experience outranks everything" and man, does Obi-Wan have a lot of that.
Let's take a break and go to Shmi. They claim that her death is a dark page in the Jedi's book. I mean, w-what? How can you possibly blame the Jedi for Shmi's death? For not freeing her? Did Qui-Gon even tell the Council that Anakin was a slave? I don't remember, honestly. But still, she ended up freed and married to a man she fell in love with. And if I remember correctly, someone was sent (by Padme maybe? to free her but she was already gone to the Lars' by that point).
Okay, I know it sounds like I am reacting to a post and well I am I suppose. But like, this post is literally blaming the Jedi for Shmi's death and how they did not offer Anakin compassion. And then just to say that it is bothersome how Anakin was solely blamed. Uh, because he was a the perpetrator! How can you possibly justify the MURDER of children. Even though it not the Jedi way, I could understand, sort of, if he went after the people that hurt his mother specifically; probably some of the men/warriors/adults. But the babies? The children? You can literally not justify that. And to blame the Jedi Order and Obi-Wan for not "taking his nightmares seriously?" Are you serious? Anakin mentioned the dream (DREAM) once in passing, there is no indication that he said that she was in danger or that this was a vision. And visions are known to be notoriously unreliable! Not to mention, the Council is responsible for the Jedi as a whole - that is thousands of people.
Alright, now to the war.
There was a claim that throughout the war, the Jedi became more and more aloof, intolerant and unforgiving and determined to win despite the suffering of the people.
What. The. Krutack.
I will include the Clone Wars series, since it was directly referenced in response. Once again, did we watch the same show? Because I'm pretty sure that virtually the whole point of the show, aside from showing us horrible things the CIS did and the individuality of the clones, was the compassion and kindness of the Jedi. How they fought to protect as many people as they could. They were dying alongside the clones. Does anyone remember how kind and caring the Jedi were when they came across civilians. Do you remember how Obi-Wan literally carried and protected with his own body the little Twielek girl, Numa, on Ryloth? Does anyone remember how many NON-Republic planets they helped? I remember them helping even CIS senators and planets that had no ties to the Republic. They helped Mandalore even when they were not part of the Republic. The vast majority of Jedi are shown protecting not only citizens but the clones as well. They are on the front lines - not hidden behind a desk (although some are and that is necessary - tactics and strategy people) and trying to save as many lives as they can, even if it costs them. They inspire creativity and individuality in the clones - this is literally a thing. I could go on and on and on.
Okay, on to Revenge of the Sith - the sadness that will probably haunt my heart forever. We will start with Dooku; specifically when Palpatine tells Anakin to kill him and that he deserves it; it is revenge for cutting off his and whatever. And this, this, post asks if this is an act of mercy for the guy kneeling in front of him (and tells him Obi-Wan later denies him) and like, what? How in the world is that mercy? He murders a defenseless man. Sure, he is the enemy and he is a criminal but he is supposed to stand trial (not to mention all the intelligence Dooku could possible give to help win the war) which is incredibly ironic, considering later, Anakin screams at Mace Windu telling him Palpatine should stand trial (even though he is much more dangerous and more of a threat than Dooku). This is not mercy. This is a handless, defenseless (although evil) man who Anakin does actually kill. It is not mercy.
Anakin has dreams about Padme; similar to his mother. You would think he would have learned his lesson and confided in someone by telling them what was actually happening. Anakin once again, DOES NOT give Yoda any specifics, just that he fears someone he is close to will die. It is claimed that he is lacking empathy and compassion to Anakin's dilemma. WHAT DILEMMA? Anakin won't tell anyone anything that could actually help. What Yoda says is true; like "dude, people die and you have to move on from that. You cannot stop death and you cannot let this fear control you. You have to let go" which is a completely reasonable thing; I mean, hello - grief counseling anyone? Yoda probably thought he was talking about Obi-Wan - who was off on a very dangerous mission against a cyborg that had killed many Jedi and padawans; this seems like a very normal fear. Whether or not Yoda says this in the right way is not really relevant; Anakin knows that he has to let go of what he fears to lose because eventually, no matter what, he will lose it. NOTHING is permanent. Now if Anakin had specified he was having what he thought were visions and the actual person in them, I'm sure Yoda would have said things differently and probably helped him.
(Also, did Padme get any real health care or like??? Was it too much of a secret???)
(The genocide of the people in the Temple is conveniently glossed through with bare mention)
and then Mustafar. Contrary to Padme (apparently) Obi-Wan shows no clemency. ANAKIN MURDERED THE ELDERLY, THE SICK/INJURED AND BABIES in the temple. Not warriors, not even full grown men and women (some would be full grown but all the able bodied were probably out in the war trying to defend the universe). He should NOT be granted clemency. Anyone else would probably have been executed for this direct horrifying act. But they seem to gloss over how Obi-Wan is always on the defensive, not really because Anakin is more overpowering (And Obi-Wan does use a defensive style, Soresu) but because he is trying to give Anakin time to chill out and come to his senses. That is literally how the choreography was designed.
And Obi-Wan's last words were? Harsh? What? If I remember correctly, Obi-Wan says something like "You were supposed to destroy the Sith not join them" and when Anakin screams he hates Obi-Wan, the return is "you were my brother, Anakin, I loved you."
That is heart-breaking and sad, not harsh. How can you look at Obi-Wan's face in this scene and call that harsh? How can your heart not break for him?!
Say what you will about Obi-Wan leaving Anakin without "finishing him off". Whether or not this is a mercy, whatever. First, we needed a reason for Vader to be in the suit. Second, Anakin was unarmed; Obi-Wan doesn't go around killing unarmed enemies, much less loved ones. (Hello, the slaver from the series, anyone? He didn't kill him; it is against his beliefs. Rex killed him). Can you even imagine how Obi-Wan was feeling? How could he possibly kill his brother? Like, I have so many feelings and not enough words ahdkjgkjgjkf. Anakin does suffer and Obi-Wan has no reason to believe that Anakin would survive his injuries. Furthermore, if I remember correctly, Palpatine ship was coming? Also, Obi-Wan had to get to Padme - she was injured and more of a priority. Because she is someone he can try to save - Anakin is long gone - in more ways than one.
Although it claimed that they are not denying the terrible things Anakin has done; that is almost kind of what they are doing. They are literally putting Anakin's choices and agency to the fault of the Jedi - not just individuals but the culture and people. It is literally gone on to say that if he had left with his wife, the worst could have been avoided. What was the worst?
Oh, a mass murderer got his legs cut off and accidently burned alive. Uhm, okay, that sucks but you do realize he committed genocide of his entire family right? And he choked his wife into unconsciousness.
I can't even with humans.
There is not even a note to Palpatine and how he manipulated Anakin for years. No blame at all on the man we need to blame the most - they put all the blame on the Jedi which just. Blows my mind.
The Clone Wars proved there was no right choice for the Jedi - they were doomed to fall. Not because of anything they did - they did everything they could - but because of Palpatine's plans and schemes. I will never, ever agree that the Jedi failed because of themselves. I do not think that the "institution" was destined to fall ( that "institution" lasted for longer than the Republic). The Jedi were trying so hard - they were kind and good and compassionate and trying so hard for peace and saving as many lives as they could. The Sith were evil. The CIS was evil. The Senate was corrupt. And the Jedi were trying.
There is so much Jedi-blaming for Anakin's attitude, disposition and choices it is literally driving me insane. Why did I do this to myself?
Things delve into a New Hope and immediately there is bashing of the jedi; where Obi-Wan cuts some guy's arm off at a Cantina and Obi- Wan "lying" that Vader killed Anakin. Which, honestly, I could see that being true. Him being Anakin's murderer, at least. Vader may have Anakin's body but even he claims that he killed Anakin Skywalker. Anakin, at least, how he thought he was, was loyal and passionate and loving - or at least he tried to be. Vader is literally none of these things; there is very little of "Anakin" in Vader. And at first glance, it may seem that Obi-Wan and Yoda are setting Luke up to kill "his father" but honestly, I see it more as preparing him to fight Vader and kill him, if necessary. It's a horrible thing, but they do not outright say anything. And honestly, they were right. Vader is willing to kill Luke - he cuts off his hand and fights him. Okay, I have so much to say about this but that is for another time; i will digress about this particular point (of lying and such)
Luke, apparently, decides to forgive Vader and show him mercy (which is claimed the Jedi and Obi-Wan NEVER did for Anakin, no matter what he did for them which is such BS I'm virtually crying rn)
There is a lengthy talk about Luke trying to rebuild the Jedi culture and how it crushed him, his contrast with Obi-Wan's attitude and shame(?) and how trying to be a Jedi has caused him to fail. Because apparently Luke is the only one who apologized and that makes him different I guess? (How many times has Obi-Wan apologized and thought things were his fault even though they weren't?)
I won't get into the Sequel Trilogy because honestly, it does very little to interest me. I am mostly a Prequel- era person mostly because I love Obi-Wan and the strength and compassion of his character. Finn seemed really interesting to me and man I thought having a female Jedi character would be really great - we had some fantastic female Jedi such as Ahsoka, Shaak Tii, Depa Billaba and so many more - but they were rarely the focus and I thought it would be fun. But, I was a bit disappointed because killing off Han Solo the way they did? Eh. Didn't care for it. I was also in the era of Mara Jade, Jacen and Jaina Solo, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker (Luke's son) so perhaps I was a little bias. I didn't really understand why Leia and Han would name their child after someone that they didn't really know (although I do have a headcanon concerning Leia and Obi-Wan which I find hilarious that I love).
I didn't particularly care for the Sequel Trilogy. They made it a Skywalker show and they did an emphasis on romantic love and from what I recall from what I have watched, the majority of the characters weren't nearly as interesting or compelling to me. And then bringing Palpatine back, sighs. Why does it always come back to him? That is just exhausting.
I'm not hating on the Sequels; everyone is allowed to like things or whatever. I just didn't; they focused so much on Rey and Kylo Ren (who I actually have a bit of an opinion on but I won't right now) instead of the more intriguing characters. I would have been much more interested in Finn as a Jedi. To overcome what he has been through as a stormtrooper and becoming a Jedi would be a really interesting story. I didn't care for how they handled Luke. And I didn't like how Rey apparently became a master so fast without any real training? Even Anakin, the Chosen One, the most powerful force-wielder, had ten years of training under Obi-Wan and the Jedi. That stuff doesn't just...come; you learn it.
I wrote more about the Sequel Trilogy than I care too. I suppose this is a rather reaction post but wow; I felt like me and this person had watched two separate movie trilogy/shows. It boggles my mind on how people can get the opposite of something that was so clearly shown. I hope I didn't upset anyone too bad. I'm not hear to start a fight, just to get out some feelings.
I wrote this all instead of homework that I desperately need to do. Sighs.
I need to go through my likes and read some good Jedi content cause man, that, that was hard.

(Temporary) Final Thoughts of Pomefiore Arc
Since this is my official first-time experience of playing this 'live', I haven't read the translation fully. So, I'll probably re-doing this after reading/watching everything.
Essentially what I like and what I'm mixed with.
I will first address something that has been bugging me since early update. And that's about the delay. Now, I'm not going to talk about the actual delay, but the reaction. Lots of people complaining and blaming the staff and just... Guys, give them some slack. Do you know what happens when you rush production? You'll get something like Frozen 2, where they had to edit so much stuff in just 6 months before the release date because of the failed test screening. As someone who once made an RPG, coding is hard, especially something massive like Twisted-Wonderland. Sitting in front of your computer for six hours straight, coding and beta testing over and over, making the OST, scripting, voice acting. This is a massive group project and it can't be rushed even if you want to unless you want it to be glitching so bad like the Ghost Marriage incident (or was it Fairy Gala?)
Especially during this pandemic and all its protocol. My parents are professors and even they don't go to campus every day, instead, they use zoom to teach and for work meetings. I barely go out from my own house except for physical therapy and volunteer work, which usually once in two weeks because we take turns. Are you saying the staff must risk their health just for a gacha game? Guys, they might be a professional, but they are still human. Cut some slacks. Be grateful we haven't gone into absolute development hell. Yes, the Halloween event was big, but Pomefiore Arc is part of the Main Story, of course, they will give extra care compare to filler event (which might be created in the first place to give them more time in Pomefiore Arc development, which is why we don't get any Christmas event)
On to the story, I don't know how to rate the scale, but it might be slightly lower than Scarabia Arc. Can you really compare a school talent show to a rebellion? Also, in paper, this should be more light-hearted than the four arcs before it.
However, the lack of stake didn't reduce the content quality. From what I remember, there is not a single chapter that can be count as filler, from Yuu's befriending Mickey, the understandably training arc, Vil's unique magic, Deuce and Epel bonding, and the actual VDC (but I do think the tour around the campus with Riddle and Trey was a bit boring)
Also, slight worldbuilding. We finally see Sage Island in its full glory and found out RSA is a freaking Disney Castle and on the same island!
This also gives us possibly the longest rhythm game, plus chibi Jamil rapping. There's just a lot of singing in this episode, which is understandable.
I appreciate Yuu finally taking notice of the Great Seven dreams, which I hope we can get more of this and actually do something with this and not just Disney Movie references, which later in the Episode shows Yuu sort of connecting their dream and Vil's poisoning attempt.
Speaking of Vil, he's a fantastic character. Okay, I aware that we can't like all characters, there will be haters anywhere. But it seems like Vil is hated a lot because he's 'arrogant' and 'only care about beauty'. Guys, he's not Jeffery Star. This Episode shows Vil as someone much more: a hard worker, passionate in acting, and a great teacher. I always see Vil as the more mature of the cast, the mentor. And he's also basically bullied when he was a child. "TV told me how to feel" as they would say, and children believe everything they saw on TV, so of course they would see Vil as the villain. It's also interesting, as someone mentioned earlier, how Vil is a foil to Leona, where Leona just gave up, Vil doesn't stop and keep striving, and that's an admirable trait. He just wants to get the protagonist role for once and break the norm.
Another character that I like is the new combo, DeuPel (Deuce and Epel). I should've known that they will be bad boy buddies with one trying to get away from the past, while the other wants to embrace it but can't at the moment. The shouting moment at the beach is wonderful despite I haven't read the full translation. Separately, Deuce shines so much with his willingness to learn. Meanwhile, Epel finally respecting Vil and all the training is probably one of the best character development so far.
Why one of the best? Because Kalim has great character development. How he grows to be more mature in this Episode really warms my heart. Again, I need to read/watch the translation to appreciate this more. The way he reassures Jamil to take the part as the main singer, but at the same time work hard to maybe get a spot as well is great.
Sadly, because Epel taking the spotlight as Deuce's partner, Ace was sort of underused. Same as Jamil, but sort of worse since he overblotted in the last chapter but has less development than Kalim. Rook also might seem doesn't do much, but he's more as Vil's support, which is why I kinda forgive him.
But, the highlight of this is probably our very own Snow White, Neige Blanche. Can I just say how much I appreciate that Niege doesn't have a dark side? He's a sweet boy and I just really appreciate that considering we're surrounded by a cast of not so great people, it's kinda refreshing to see someone just pure. The dwarves' design are also adorable, can't really say more since we haven't seen them in depth.
And since this is a School Festival Arc, all 22 students have a cameo. I know some people who are thrilled to finally Idia in the main story and to meed Che'nya again since Episode 1.
Unfortunately, Crowley proved to be useless again. When he finally appears in this final update I screamed: "SIR! Where were you?!"
Let's go back with Rook. What he did in the last update was definitely shocking. I knew something is wrong when he smiles after Vil's monologing. So this is the only time through the update I read the translation. And I sort of get it.
So, Rook and Vil's relationship should mirror how the Evil Queen and the huntsman. I mentioned above that Rook is Vil's support and I mean that. Rook and Vil's relationship is another level of prefect and their vice. It's just fascinating. Rook is just as reliable as Jade, but also not afraid to against his perfect like Jamil, also is not afraid to say something against his perfect, unlike Trey.
And it shows in this finale. Rook is always praising the beauty of things and Vil's hard works is truly a sight, but the way Vil unable to believe in himself, it clouded what is supposed to be something truly beautiful. Compare to Neige who is basically Snow White, the purest Disney Princess, there's just no way Rook would not pick RSA. I admit, I was pissed when RSA win, but when Rook started talking, I knew there was something more. And I finally found it. Rook's message is basically "believe in yourself", the most Disney-thing ever.
Saving the best (or worst) for last, I was terrified when Grim happened. We already guess that Grim is the same monster in the prologue, but I never thought it will happen so soon. The flashed of the monster and Yuu's carriage is also a point, but we have so little info that he can't pull a conclusion yet. Is this a timeloop? Is this a vision? This is the darkest ending we've gotten and I'm scared of what will happen.
Overall, Pomefiore Arc is an enjoyable Episode, definitely a step up emotionally. The cast are wonderful as always, the theme of hard work and believing in yourself are spot on, Vil's hero journey is great (I'll give more explanation soon). Great job, team.

March 16, 2021: Legend (1985) (Part One)
Hi, Tim Curry. How are you doing today?
Tumblr media
Yeah, that tracks. Been a while, always good to see you. Man, actually, when is the last time I saw you? Clone Wars? I think so, although I don’t know if that really counts. I think, in person, it was...oof, Criminal Minds in 2012?
Tumblr media
Yeah, dude, you were FUCKING TERRIFYING, HOLY SHIT. I feel like people don’t talk about that performance as much, but you were goddamn amazing, buddy. Sorry I didn’t open with this, but...you were my childhood, Ti. Like, from Clue to The Wild Thornberrys to Muppet Treasure Goddamn Island GOD I LOVE YOU IN THAT MOVIE TOO
Tumblr media
Amazing. And let’s not forget Ferngully, of course. Look...I love you, OK? You’re beautiful. And I know that recently, you’ve been through a lot of health struggles, and I wish you the absolute best, I sincerely do. You’re the best, man. Hang in there.
Actually, while I have you...settle a bet for me, I’ve got it with myself. Have I...have I already seen this movie? Because I feel like I might have, but I don’t think so. It’s like the Mandela effect, y’know? I mean, if I’d seen it before...would I not remember you in this get-up?
Tumblr media
I mean...come ON, RIGHT? I know FOR A FACT that I’ve attempted to watch this movie with friends before, and that didn’t happen. Then, I tried to watch it on my own, and that didn’t pan out because I’m pretty sure I fell asleep after 15 minutes. It had been a long day, I’m sorry. But...I don’t get it, Tim Curry? What the hell happened?
Well...whatever. I guess we’re going to take care of this ONCE AND FOR ALL. Now, who directed this movie?
Tumblr media
Oh shit, REALLY? RIDLEY SCOTT! Kick-ass, he did Alien, and this -
Tumblr media
And then this -
Tumblr media
OOH, and this!
Tumblr media
Oh, and we can’t forget this!
Tumblr media
And also this!
Tumblr media
And...and this...
Tumblr media
...And this...
Tumblr media
Oh. Fuck, and this.
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
OH GOD STOP I FORGOT ABOUT 1492
...OK, this could either be a very good movie, or a very VERY bad one. I mean...it’s got Tim Curry in it, so it can’t be that bad? And hey, Scott was on a hotstreak at the time, right? What could go wrong? Let’s do this!
Tumblr media
SPOILERS AHEADOH FUCK IS THAT TOM CRUISE
Recap (1/2)
...Ahem. Um. OK. Maybe I imagined that image, or it’s from a different movie. Cool. Let’s keep going, nothing to see here.
The opening text scroll tells us that once, long ago, before time was even a concept, the world was shrouded in darkness. But Darkness hid from the light, which brought to the world laughter, love, and...unicorns. Yeah, really. Unicorns harbor the Light in their souls, as the most mytsical of all creatures. They’re safe from Darkness, and can only be found by a pure-hearted mortal, like Jack, a denizen of the forest. He is loved by Lily, and both believe only in goodness. But not for long, as a struggle for the balance between Darkness and Light is about to commence, and in that struggle will be born...Legend (1985), dir. Ridley Scott.
As the opening credits roll and confirm that Tom Cruise is in fact in this movie, I take a brief moment to vomit lightly.
Tumblr media
At night, walking through the forest, there is a creature with some...bad-ass makeup and costume design GODDAMN. Like, yeah, that category’s already looking good. Anyway, the creature goes through the forest, and finds a den of fire and torture, all lorded over by a horned man, who speaks Mother Night, asking for her protection.
Tumblr media
This is Darkness (Tim Curry), and...fuck me, holy shit, I GET it. Like, this dude began an entire movement and aethestic, and it makes a fuckton of sense. THis dude must have given birth to, like 10,000 goth children, goddamn. Anyway, he commands his goblin henchman Blix (Alice Playten) to find a unicorn and kill it, and to bring its horn back to him. Blix, the rhyming cretin, asks how to find them. And Darkness answers with the perfect lure: innocence.
Tumblr media
That innocence is symbolized by Princess Lily (Mia Sara), a maiden cavorting happily about the wood, without a care in the goddamn world. She visits her friend Nell (Tina Martin), and briefly has a vision of winter in the cottage. Nell notes that it’s time for her to grow up a bit, but Lily’s only concerned with finding her sweetheart, Jack.
Tumblr media
And Jack is...well, Jack o’ the Green (Tom Cruise) is a young man who lives in the forest, with his animal friends. An innocent himself, he’s basically Peter Pan, with Lily playing his Wendy. Except, well, they’re not THAT innocent, because they, like, IMMEDIATELY make out on the forest floor. Which has to be uncomfortable, real goddamn talk.
Jack teaches Lily to speak with the birds, then takes her to see something wonderful and rare. All the while, they’re being followed by Blix, who believes that their innocence will attract the mystical unicorns. And, uh, yeah, Blix is entirely correct about that, because here they come! And they’re making whale noises?
Tumblr media
Apparently, as long as unicorns roam the Earth, evil can never harm the pure of heart. They express only love and laughter, and dark thoughts are unknown to them. Which Lily takes as an opportunity to go hang out with them, despite Jack’s urgings.
But the unicorns seem receptive to her, to Jack’s...frustration? He just kinda leaves her behind for some reason. And Blix takes the opportunity to hit one of the unicorns with a poison dart, causing them to be startled and storm off. Lily flees into the forest, and is immediately scolded by Jack, saying that what she did is forbidden by magic forest law. OK. She’s as confused about that as I am, but she still apologizes to him.
Tumblr media
The two kiss, and Lily makes a promise to him and the universe, I guess, and says that whomever finds her ring will have the right to marry her. She throws it, and Jack IMMEDIATELY JUMPS OFF A CLIFF AFTER IT GODDAMN MY MAN! Lily screams hysterically after him for...some reason?
However, this isn’t great timing, because Blix and the goblins have caught up to the poisoned unicorn, and they cut off its horn, immediately plunging the forest into a fierce winter, similar to what Lily saw in her vision. Jack, in the river looking for the ring, is trapped underwater, beneath ice. By the time he breaks out, Lily’s already run away, to Nell’s place. Nell is frozen solid for some reason, and the goblins are also coming off after Lily for...some reason.
Tumblr media
Lily hides, as Blix and his two companions Pox (Peter O’Farrell) and Blunder (Kiran Shah) exposit the whole thing so that Lily’s caught up on her fault in all of this, and once they leave, she promises to make it right. No idea how she’s gonna do that, but sure.
Jack, meanwhile has collapsed in the woods and snow. He’s woken up by a spirit of the forest named Honeythorn Gump (David Bennent), who is...interesting. He asks Jack what in the FUCK happened, and Jack admits that Lily, a mortal, touched a unicorn, which is apparently the ultimate no-no. Gump’s pissed, but the ACTUAL SECOND that Jack says that it was for love, Gump’s just...totally cool with it? They have a drink with Brown Tom (Cork Hubbert), and agree to help him find Lily...like, immediately.
Tumblr media
They quickly find the dead unicorn, and yeah, the unicorn is FUCKING DEAD after losing its horn, and its mate shows up to mourn. Jack and Gump mourn with the magical creature, which looks REALLY BIG for a horse, Jesus. She stays with her fallen mate, and Jack goes back to the group, delivering the news that they’re cursed? No idea where that came from.
To lift the curse and get the horn back, they must find a champion bold in heart and spirit. Gump IMMEDIATELY nominates Jack, and takes him to some cave where he can find weapons and armor. He’s guided by Oona (Annabelle Lanyon), a fairy who is LITERALLY NAVI FROM ZELDA, I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH
Tumblr media
Oona reveals her true form to him secretly, then notes that she could be anything he wants her to be, even his heart’s desire. COMIN’ ON A LITTLE STRONG THERE OONA. Anyway, in the vault of golden weapons and armor and...gold, Jack grabs a sword.
Meanwhile, Lily follows Blix and his group, where Blix uses the magic of the Unicorn Horn (or the Alicorn) to demonstrate his newly found prowess. But as he’s claiming to take over Darkness’ kingdom. Just then, Darkness shows up and claims the Horn for himself, and kills Blunder when he talks back. Darkness asks whether or not the Unicorns are both dead, and reveals that his power will not be complete until the female Unicorn is also dead.
Tumblr media
Lily runs off and makes her way back to the Unicorn and Brown Tom, and warns them of the Goblin’s approach to kill the Mare. Brown Tom, who I think is either a leprechaun or a brownie, fends the Goblins off, while Lily and the Mare...DON’T RUN? FUCKING RUN YOU ASSHOLES!
Tom gets shot by an arrow...in the hat. He immediately falls dead, despite being totally fine, the dick. And Lily and the mare are captured, BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T FUCKING RUN WHEN THEY SHOULD’VE. Jack, Gump, and the leprechaun/gnome/brownie/halfling Screwball (Billy Barty) come to “rescue” him. He tells them that Lily’s alive, and Gump takes Jack to the Great Tree for the next step, accompanied by Screwball and Tom. There, they find...
Tumblr media
WOW. THAT SHIT IS COOL. This is Meg Mucklebone *Robert Picardo), and this thing is absolutely my favorite thing in the movie so far...AND THEN JACK KILLS HER IMMEDIATELY. JAAAAAAACK, WHAT THE HELL, she was really cool. Goddamn it.
The group gets to the great tree, then falls into an underground prison, where Blunder is also held. The group is NOT where they want to be, right in Darkness’ lair. Nice job, Gump. In the prison, the guys, now joined by fellow brownie/dwarf/gnome thing Blunder, hide from one of Darkness’ men, as he takes Blunder away to the torture table.
Tumblr media
Stuck in the cell, Jack suggests that Oona go and get the keys. However, her ability to transform into a humanoid form was a secret between her and Jack, and she’s upset by him revealing it. Gump’s also upset by the secret in and of itself, but she defends that her secrets are hers to keep. You tell him, Oona!
She then says that she’ll only do what Jack wants if he kisses her, GODDAMN IT OONA. NOW IS NOT THE TIE TO GO ALL TINKERBELL IN HOOK! He gives her a little peck, but she transforms into Lily to make him give her a real kiss, dear lord that is CREEPY, OONA! Jack almost kisses her, but refuses at the last second. He notes that human hearts can’t be won over that way, which greatly upsets Oona. Still, she ends up getting the keys for them regardless, and sets them free.
Tumblr media
And at this point, we are halfway through, so FUCK IT. PART TWO! See you there.

what’s the sibling dynamic between buster and elmyra? since elmer and bugs are married in and the looney tunes cast adopted the tiny toons cast
Thanks for the ask! Sorry it's taken so long, I was trying to tie all the threads together.
So, I'm going to include Babs in this as well, as I headcanon Bugs and Elmer adopted Buster, Babs and Elmyra together.
So to understand this we've got to go back to after Tiny Toons had finished filming in early 1992. By that point the kids were all 5 years old and had basically formed a tight-knit group. They were also at the stage in there development when they were starting to expand a little bit beyond what their official characterisation was.
So, take Montanna Max, for example, although he was still hot-headed, obsessed with money and greedy [and those traits would never go away] he was now learning that his friends [and particularly the adults] weren't going to put up with his screaming at them all day and not sharing anything and that if he wanted to remain friends with them he was going to have to change his behaviour at least a little. The rest of the toons would accept what he was created as, but they wouldn't accept him using that as an excuse to act completely out of order.
Buster and Babs upon finishing filming were both enrolled in a two-year long course which was basically going to help them adjust to not being a protagonist anymore. It's a course that every protagonist of a TV show, or a film, does after the completion of there first show, and it basically helps them come to terms with the fact they are not the centre of the universe. The reason for this is because it's been accepted and realised that it's very hard for a toon who's had there entire show revolve around them to suddenly not have that anymore and be sent out into the world of Toons where most Toons don't care.
As a genreral rule in Toontown, unless you've achieved the fame levels of Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse, or are associated with them, no one really cares what film you were in. So Anna and Elsa are treated like goddesses in Toontown because, there film was really successful and they're seen as really good characters, contrast that with Princess Aurora [who's film was a box-office bomb at time of release, I believe] who is more respected and liked because she's royalty and she's really nice than because her film was successful.
In short, unless your film is massively successful at time of release, you're just another toon and the two-year course helps protagonists come to terms with that. There are positives as well, it's not all 'you're nothing now'. The toons work on their individual skills and how they may be transferred to other things. [Babs's impression are so good, for instance, that even if Tiny Toons never got rebooted, she'd still have a really good shot at becoming a Toon Impressionist, if she wanted to. Buster's flexibility and ability to 'read' other people means he'd potentially be good as a nurse/doctor/police officer or just a role that's with the public.]
While Buster and Babs were doing that Elmyra spent time with Bugs and Elmer and practiced her toon powers while benefiting from the individual attention being given by her dads. [Just a note, there is a two-year course for villains as well that was introduced in the 60's that helps them to...not be so villainous, but you have to meet a certain level of 'badness' like Maleficent OR Evil Queen to get in there and - obviously - Elmyra doesn't meet that requirement.]
So, back to the actual ask, Buster, Babs and Elmyra moved into Bugs and Elmer's 5-bedroom mansion shortly after filming ended. It was decided they would each have there own room, which they decorated to there own preferences [Elmyra's is very VERY pink]. So this relieved some tension, because Babs HATED the idea of sharing a room with Elmyra. [Elmyra, for her part, was happy about the idea and cried buckets when she was told it wouldn't be happening.]
At first Buster didn't really get on well with Elmyra at all. Over filming he'd kind of managed to build her up into the 'oh, help me, it's Elmyra' figure, and although he knew she was largely harmless, he still didn't like her. Her 'baby-act' and need to be constantly supervised also grated. This was the same for Babs.
Elmyra, at first, adored the idea of living with Babs and Buster and had visions of dressing them up all day in 'cutesey-wutesey outfits'. It may surprise you to know, that Buster and Babs did not WANT to be dressed up in outfits, cute or otherwise, and had no issue anvilling her to get the point across. This led to tears on Elmyra's part and frustration on Babs and Buster's.
This did eventually mellow out though, due to a couple of things, firstly - Bugs and Elmer's determination to teach Elmyra how to handle her new brother and sister properly [and vice versa for the bunny's]. Secondly - because Elmyra did have regular session with Doctor Scratchensniff every week during which they worked on 'how not to strangle animals when you hug them.' among other things and thirdly because Buster and Babs realised things where not all sunny for Elmyra.
That sounds really ominous, but what I may is that a few of you may have remembered that Elmyra actually had a family when she was on the show. A physical one, not just 'mentioned' parents like Buster. [Babs had a mother who was shown, but Babs's mother is a sufficiently flat characters, that if she doesn't have Babs in the house she assumes she's at school. It doesn't matter whether it's snowing, the middle of the school holidays or the middle of the night, as far as 'Mrs Bunny' is concerned, Babs is at school.]
It was decided after Tiny Toons ended that Elmyra should continue to see her 'designed' family [the family she was designed to have] at the weekends. Friday afternoon she walked home/would be dropped off by someone at her designed parents house and she would stay there until Sunday night until she was returned just after dinner. [So Elmyra would miss dinner with Bugs and co]
This worked for a little while until it got to when Elmyra was going into Grade 1 and Elmer realised she was always doing her homework when she got home. Her parents weren't helping her. In a rather tense conversation he asked Elmyra's designed parents if they would help her do her homework. They promptly replied that the homework was to difficult for 'there little baby' and she should be given something age-appropriate. It was during that discussion that Elmer discovered her 'parents' thought she was 4 years old.
Even by Toon standards, this was a warning flag and Elmer promptly excused himself and ran the conversation by Doctor Scratchensniff because the fact Elmyra's parents didn't seem to recognise the fact that A} her designed age was 12 and B} she was actually 6, not 4 - was concerning to say the least.
Now. Normally D.S. doesn't get involved with this kind of thing because otherwise he'd never do anything else, but as Elmyra was already a patient of his and he decided it wouldn't do Elmer/Bugs any good if they challenged Elmyra's parents themselves, he decided he better have a word with them herself.
He had his word. And they seemed to understand. Scratchy went back to Bugs and Elmer and told them they didn't have to worry, that Elmyra's parents understood her designed age was 12 and that she would get older and mature above that [hopefully]. Bugs and Elmer [particularly Elmer] were suspicious about this at first, but Elmyra came back from her parents having had her homework done and with tales of having done exciting things during the weekend. She was also - they noticed - being given age-appropriate things to play with and this lasted...until she moved up to middle school.
Elmyra moved up to middle school a year after Buster and Babs did, which meant they weren't in the same class. However they were in the same house and it became noticeable that Elmyra didn't seem very happy. Specifically she didn't seem very happy with the idea of going to her parents house at the weekend and was somehow even less happy when she came back.
Bugs and Elmer had noticed this and tried to ask her what was wrong, but she refused to tell them. Buster didn't really want to get involved - he felt it would open a long, emotional conversation he didn't really want to have - but when Elmyra came home one day in tears and he was the only one in the house it fell to him to deal with it.
Turns out Elmyra's parents did not like the fact she was in middle school. They thought the schoolwork she was doing was to advanced for her [it was perfectly acceptable work for her grade and she was doing well with it] and her mother in particular was concerned because Elmyra had started Noticing Boys. This did not fit with the notion they had that she was still a little girl who spoke in a babyish voice and called everything 'cuddly-wuddly' despite the fact that Elmyra herself was doing her best to drop the 'cuddly-wudddly's' [unfortunately she still had to keep the babyish voice] and asking that her parents maybe not buy her games and stuff that were clearly designed for a child under 10.
By this point all this had been going on for a few months. Buster - after calming Elmyra down and running the situation by Hampton - told there dads what was going on with Elmyra and they took matters out of his hands.
Doctor Scratchensniff paid another visit to Elmyra's parents with the intention of explaining to them, gently and tactfully, why they needed to change the way they were treating Elmyra because it was risking damaging her and no one has a clue what was actually said in that meeting, but the end shot was that Elmyra no longer saw her parents on the weekend. She could contact them again at 16 if she wanted to, but until then it was in her best interests to stay away from them.
You all may be wondering why I'm going into so much detail about Elmyra's circumstances, and that's because I feel it's necessary to understand the siblings dynamic. Buster, Babs and Elmyra - up until they were about 11 - only spent Mon-Thurs as a proper group. During that time they anvilled each other, teased each other and tried to actively avoid each other [or rather Buster and Babs tried to actively avoid Elmyra when she was at her most annoying] They also played games together, struggled through school-work together and dealt with there annoying parents together. They became a pretty effective sibling team.
Buster and Babs - despite being created to have a crush on each other - came to view each other as adopted siblings and remained close. They laughed together, joke together and messed with people together.
Babs and Elmyra go shopping together, they talk about stuff together - 'stuff' being the subjects of romances and Life in general that perhaps Buster wouldn't want to be a part off - they get on pretty well actually, mainly because they have a good few things in common and on Elmyra's sensible non-complete-moron days they can even have deep conversations about politics and the world in general as well as analysing TV shows and fangirling over there favourite characters.
Buster and Elmyra are a bit of an odd paring. On Elmyra's smart days the two of them can be quite devious and can throw adults for a loop easily. On her less smart days Buster just tries to stay out her way. The things with Buster and Elmyra is that he basically thought of her as an annoyance for the first 5 years off his life. When he was adopted by Bugs and Elmer and found himself now living with her he was essentially banned from insulting her to harshly. ["No anvilling at the dinner table, Buster!"] But part the issue was that Buster was jealous because Elmyra had another family she got too see and he didn't. He knew that Bugs and Elmer were his official family and it was great to be adopted by his mentor but he couldn't help a pang of envy every time Elmyra got in the car to go to her parents house.
And then the breakdown happened with Elmyra when she was 11 [Buster and Babs knew her parents had had a few problems with her before, but didn't know the exact details, To be fair not even Elmyra herself knew the exact details. Elmer had the conversation away from her and then the rest of it was kept away from her. The only thing she was told was that her parents would now be helping her with homework when she went to them at the weekend.] and Buster realised that Elmyra's home life was not a bed of roses and he made a conscious effort to not be so short with her and to be more patient in the way that Babs seems to be able to do effortlessly. [Babs's realised pretty quickly after they all started living together that Elmyra wasn't going to change and decided that rather than fight it she was just going to embrace it. She was hoping that Elmyra would go away after Babs played 'dress-up' with her, but it just made Elmyra like her more. After a couple of months - and a conversation with Bugs - Babs realised that Elmyra literally just wanted someone to spend time with and dress up. But it was more the spending time than the dressing up that Elmyra liked. They managed to work out a system where Babs would let Elmyra dress her up and do her ears, if Elmyra would give feedback on Babs's impressions and watch comedy tapes with her.]
Going back to Buster, it took a while and, while he and Elmyra are never going to be 'best friends', Buster eventually realised she wasn't that bad and started to enjoy spending time with her.
Elmyra, for her part, has made a conscious effort over the years to not hug her siblings [or any other cute, fluffy creatures for that matter] to tightly, dress them up against their will, or chase them round the earth till they just give up. She still hugs and does like going shopping [or 'grown-up dress up' as Babs calls it] and will chase them to give them a hug if she's having a particularly stupid day or thinks they look upset, but the main thing is that Elmyra is trying.
Very very trying.

Well then, you’re lost! - Jedi Rant
This is in response to someone who posted on one of my other blogs. Apparently there is a character limit on responses on Tumblr, so forgive me - I didn’t want to post this in multiple responses!   I never meant to imply that you condone mass murder, that was not what I was trying to say. My comment was meant to simply bring up the fact that one cannot compare the light side of the Force to being just as corrupt as the dark side – as soon as someone is “corrupt”, they are no longer following the light side of the Force (hence Dooku) which is the point.
You said that you are speaking about the Force in the Star Wars universe, well, that is exactly what I’m talking about as well. You say it is an “Essence” and isn’t “good or bad”, but I am sorry to say that is actually the opposite of what George Lucas has said about the Force. That is why I quoted him, he is the creator of Star Wars and he has the end all/be all authority on this galaxy – because he is the one who created it. George Lucas has REPEATEDLY stated that there cannot be a gray area in the Force, it is either light or dark (good or bad) and ANY darkness throws the Force off balance. In terms of the Force itself, straight from the man who created it there CANNOT be any gray and the light side is inherently good.
Now, let’s also take a look at it from even a moral standpoint and not a fictional standpoint – does anyone ever say “I’m really worried about him because he’s being too good a person”?? (If so, then I’m a little concerned for society). No, but we do worry when someone is acting selfish or letting themselves lose themselves to an obsession.
Now, were the Jedi perfect? No, and I never said they were, but did their “failure” mean they deserved genocide? Absolutely not. To say their order deserved to “fall” (aka be wiped out) that is victim blaming of the highest level. Even IF the Jedi were “corrupt” as people say they are that doesn’t mean they deserved what they received. Also, it does not keep Sheev or Anakin away from blame – two “wrongs” don’t make a right.
By the end of the Republic the Jedi were in a trap created by the Sith, all of the points you brought up (with the exception of “taking children” which I will address later) were perpetrated by the Sith. Sidious designed this trap so the Jedi would be painted in a corner and have no way out. But they still tried their best to do what was right despite all of this. For example, you bring up the use of a clone/slave army – well, what was the alternative? Please, tell me what the alternative was because no one who throws that accusation at the Jedi have an answer and I’d love to hear a legit one. Sidious gave Sifo-Dyas a vision (much like the ones he gave Anakin) which caused him to create an army without the Council’s knowledge or approval – in fact he had gone to the Council first demanding the Jedi create an army and they emphatically said “no” because of the moral implications of it. But, now here they were in the middle of being slaughtered on Geonosis and Yoda brought the army to save them. Then, the Senate (whom the Jedi were beholden to) decided to use the army to fight the Separatist, the Jedi instead of hanging back knew it was their duty to not only defend the people Republic, but also to destroy the Sith (who was in charge of the CIS army) so they joined in. Most of the Jedi ended up treating their men like the sentient beings they were (and were the first ones who did), which was not true of many citizens of the Republic. And had the Jedi NOT taken control of the GAR what do you think would’ve happened to the Clones?? Do you actually think the Kaminoans would’ve let them go free? – no, the Kaminoans are selfish business people and would’ve either destroyed them or more likely sold them into actual slavery.
Now, the Jedi code seemed to work for everyone else EXCEPT Anakin Skywalker, why does no one see that?? Sure, the Jedi were not allowed to get married and have children, it wasn’t because they “weren’t allowed to love” on the contrary they were encouraged to love, you don’t think they didn’t know Anakin loved Padme?? Jedi were trusted to not let it become an attachment because attachments lead to jealousy which lead to anger and given the type of power they possess that is dangerous. They are also committed to the Jedi order, think of it like they are married to the Jedi Order. If they were to go out and get married to someone else there is no way they could give 100% commitment to both the Jedi and their family/spouse. But, they are given the option to leave if they want to choose a family/marriage, is it a difficult choice? Yes of course, but that is an option. Anakin decided he was better than EVERYONE else and lied to the Jedi because he couldn’t give up the power/status that came with being one.
Going back to the Jedi “taking” children that is just the most absurd falsehood I hear going around. It is 100% the parent’s choice to give their child to the Jedi. Being a Jedi is an honor in this galaxy and it brings incredible honor to the family I’d imagine, but the Jedi have NEVER in any canon been shown to put pressure on a parent to give their child up. In fact in the Clone Wars we even see a mother saying “Master Ropal said I have more time with him” to a bounty hunter who was actually there to kidnap the child (for the Sith might I add). This statement means not only that she agreed to let her son be trained, but the Jedi in their compassion gave her more time with her baby. Also keep in mind how difficult raising a Force Sensitive child must be, I can bet that most parents welcome the help/training. And as I mentioned the Jedi ALWAYS have the option of leaving if the Order isn’t for them, it’s not a prison.
I honestly don’t understand why you (or other people) can’t see that the Jedi are good…I am baffled by this trend. Like I said, they are not perfect but no one is – and frankly the Jedi themselves don’t think they are perfect either. In fact contrary to what is usually written in fanfics the Jedi allow/encourage their members to question their rules, they constantly tell one another to “search their feelings” – the love and compassion they have for all beings in the galaxy is truly something more people should aspire to be. I know you said it’s “okay to be selfish” and I am sorry, but I disagree. There is a difference between being selfish and self-care. Selfishness is inherently not a good quality to have, and maybe beyond that it’s actually dangerous for a Jedi (or someone with the Force) to be selfish – that is where the Sith come in. The Sith only think of themselves, that is the definition of selfishness. And when you have extreme powers that are affected by your emotions you need to be more mindful, which is what the Jedi teach.
To believe that the Jedi failed makes me so sad…they didn’t, they were slaughtered - it would be like saying the people of Alderraan deserved to be blown up because there were a few criminals on the planet. If you are going to quote Luke in THE LAST JEDI about the legacy of the Jedi being failure, then you really need to take into context where Luke is in his emotional journey when he says it. He even later admitted he was wrong. – the point of the movie/saga is the Jedi are good and the Sith are evil.
The Jedi and Republic were all “deceived by a lie” and I stand by my post that it looks like Sheev deceived a good chunk of the audience as well.
Thank you for the lively debate, I appreciate hearing your thoughts!! 😊 May the Force be with you!

t2eb, day 23: “drawn on”
Roman held his hand steady, tracing a series of complicated shapes across the canvas.
“Just gotta go slowly...” he muttered to himself, tongue sticking out in concentration. “Slowly... slowly... slowly... there!”
He pulled back, triumphantly looking at the intricate designs he’d painted all across the left side of the canvas.
“Wow, that looks so cool, Roman!” Patton said from his position across from the creative side. Roman smiled at the praise.
“Why, thank you very much, Padre!” he replied. “And may I say, your drawings are incredible as well! They’re very you.”
Patton smiled down at the right side of canvas, littered in doodles of tiny hearts, houses, and cat heads. “Aw, thanks, kiddo! I’m no fancy-schmancy artist like you, but sometimes, inspiration just hits me, you know?”
“Excuse me,” Logan interrupted, “would someone hand me a towel? The canvas seems to be working against me, and I’ve once again smudged my work.”
Patton passed him a small towel, and as Logan began wiping away a section of his painting, Roman said, “You know, Teach, you don’t have to be so detail-oriented. It’s art! It can be messy!”
Logan hummed, leaning over to repaint the section he’d just wiped cleaned. “Speak for yourself. My ‘artistic vision’ is clear-cut and sensible.”
“Mine is whatever I feel like!” Patton added, dipping his brush in the paint and drawing random lines across the canvas. “Like, maybe I’ll draw stripes, or maybe I’ll draw polka dots! Who knows?”
“My art is an extension of myself,” Roman said grandly, adding onto his own drawing. “I follow the lines of the canvas, letting my brush guide me, until something wonderful comes out-”
All three stopped painting as a high pitched shriek pierced the air. Logan sighed as he once again moved to wipe away his work, and Roman leaned over the canvas with an irritated frown.
“Virgil, excuse me, do you mind? We’re trying to have a conversation.”
Virgil couldn’t respond, instead focusing on wheezing out more laughter as Patton began doodling yet another cat on his side.
“I cahahahan’t- I cahahahahan’t,” he gasped. “It’s too much.”
Patton made a noise of sympathy. “Aw, but we’re not even trying to tickle you!”
“Indeed,” Logan interjected. “If we were trying to tickle you it would feel like this.”
He gently clawed his hands around Virgil’s hipbones, careful not to further smudge his painting. Virgil gasped and broke into peals of laughter, his legs desperately trying to curl in, but Logan’s weight on his legs kept him vulnerable.
“Nahahahaha- Logahahahan! D- dohohon’t!”
Logan pulled back, picking up his brush as he once again tried to paint the strip of skin between Virgil’s hipbones.
“See? It feels completely different, doesn’t it?”
Virgil didn’t respond, just threw his head back and laughed helplessly.
“Are yohohohou almohohost done?”
Roman hummed. “Oh, I don’t know. We still have an awful lot of paint left, and I don’t wanna waste a drop.”
He suddenly began flicking his paintbrush against Virgil’s ears, forcing the emo side to slam his head down defensively.
“Na-ahaha! Cheheheating!”
Roman laughed. “Not cheating, more like taking an artistic risk.”
He wormed the brush out from beneath Virgil’s ear, and began tracing paint all underneath his jaw, sending him into desperate giggles.
“Pahahahatton,” he begged, “hehehelp mehehe!”
“Hm?” Patton asked, looking up from his work. “Oh, sorry, kiddo! Got a bit distracted. I decided to write some little notes for you! Do you like them?”
Virgil craned his head, still giggling from Roman’s attack, to read what Patton had written in small letters up and down his ribcage.
Tickly little emo!
Virgil <3′s tickles!
BIG tickle spot here -->
Cutest little stormcloud!
We <3 U Virgil!
Virgil groaned, head falling back onto the floor as his face burned.
“I hate you.”
He was joking, everyone knew that, but for some reason the way Patton went deadly still at Virgil’s words made him nervous.
“Oh, I just thought of something we can all do together!” Patton said, voice smooth and calm. “Roman, will you pass me the paint bottles, please?”
Roman raised an eyebrow at Patton’s request, but passed him the three paints they’d been using- red for Roman, light blue for Patton, and navy for Logan.
Patton popped open the tops and upturned all three bottles of paint onto the center of Virgil’s stomach, which was still mostly bare. Virgil gasped at the cold, wet feeling of the paint of his skin.
“Patton?” he asked cautiously, but Patton ignored him.
“Roman, Logan,” he said instead, lifting his hand to hover over Virgil’s most sensitive spot. “How about some finger painting?”
Virgil’s eyes widened. “Wait-”
They did not wait. As soon as Roman and Logan lifted their hands above the pile of paint on Virgil’s belly, all three sides dig in at once, making Virgil’s laughter explode out of him.
“Nohohohohoho! Plehehehehehease! I- I- ahahahahahahahaha!”
This was so much worse than painting with the brushes. All he could feel were six slick hands, clawing and squeezing and scribbling at his belly all at the same time. Roman and Logan stuck to the outskirts at first, while Patton wasted no time in digging a finger directly into Virgil’s bellybutton.
“Tickle tickle tickle, my little stormcloud!” he cooed. Virgil’s peals of laughter were loud and bright and intoxicating.
Around and around they went, each of them making sure they covered every single inch of Virgil’s tummy. Of course, they all continued to return to his bellybutton, usually with the excuse of “getting all of the extra paint out of there!”, which allowed them to claw at the inner walls of Virgil’s tickle spot as much as they pleased.
After some time had passed, they eventually relented, each one giving Virgil’s belly one more good squeeze before pulling their hands away.
Virgil’s chest heaved, laying limply on the floor in a giddy daze.
“Aw, look!” Patton cooed. “We made purple!”
Virgil craned his neck to look at his stomach. Patton was right: each of their paints had mixed together to form a large coating of dark purple paint all over Virgil’s tummy.
“Purple just for you, Virgil,” Roman added, pinching Virgil’s cheek teasingly. Virgil jeked away, but he could tell there was now a streak of paint on his face from the way all three of them laughed at him.
“Whatever, whatever,” he muttered without malice. “I’m glad you had fun.”
“Oh, we had so much fun, Virgil! Thank you for being such a good canvas!” Patton replied, just barely stopping himself from hugging Virgil and getting paint all over his clothes.
Virgil sighed. “Guess I should go wash off now-”
He tried to sit up, but Logan’s hand on his hip made him go still, allowing the logical side to push him back down onto his back.
“Actually, Virgil,” Logan stated, “it’s imperative to the health of your skin that you get every bit of paint off. This task would be very difficult to complete by yourself, seeing as there are parts of your body that would be challenging for you to fully clean on your own.”
Virgil’s eyes widened in giddy panic as Logan summoned a bucket of water, several soft wash cloths, and three large scrub brushes. Roman chuckled and went straight for a brush, while Patton giggled as he grabbed one of the wash cloths and dipped it in the water.
“Don’t worry, Virgil,” Logan continued, an uncharacteristically evil smile on his face. “We’d be more than happy to help wash all that paint off of you. No matter how long it takes.”

a/n: this started as a short drabble but now I have 3 parts so I think Imma turn it into a series maybe? and thanks as usual to @megahwn for betareading and reminding me I don’t suck at writing~~~
Part of ficswithluv’s #FWLBingo!
Namjoon rakes back his tawny hair with frustrated fingers. He scratches in bafflement as he circles another misspelling of Da Vinci. When he started teaching Art History, he never thought he’d have to teach spelling, too.
He doesn’t realize how far he’s sunk into his chair, now scribbling away on Renaissance essays with his nose only inches from the table, until someone bumps into his chair. He hurriedly corrects himself and takes the moment to have a break from reading about the same exact art piece again. He’d given his students free reign of the entire Renaissance to choose art from, yet they all chose from the first five google results.
One of those students sat across the cafe. He glanced up as Namjoon spotted him and gave a small smile of acknowledgment. Namjoon tried to give the same, but knew his distress was evident if not on his face then definitely by his haywire hair. He shakes his head, adjusting his glasses.
Jungkook. A good kid, trying to get a minor in Digital Art. Namjoon knows a lot of students have to take his class as a requirement, and he’s come to appreciate the quiet yet studious students like Jungkook. He may not speak in class, but he submits decent work on time. Even now, while several pairs of probable-students sit in the cafe off campus chatting and laughing, Jungkook has his laptop open and camera plugged in.
Seeing a student working hard motivates Namjoon to plow through the last three essays he has.
Before his red pen starts scribbling again, his attention is swept away by a man entering the cafe.
Art.
Namjoon loves art. It’s captured his attention since he was young. He read books on woodwork while his friends read Haikyuu! He took every art elective his senior year instead of taking early dismissal. He managed to get a degree in architecture to appease his parents just so he could also get a minor in art history. He finds art in everyday life. He appreciates unique design and complex color palettes. Art is not only his passion but the way he interprets the world.
The man who just walked through the cafe doors is art.
Soft, pink dusted hair smooths back as the man raises his sunglasses into his hair with a ring-clad hand only to reveal large, almost black eyes. His plush lips are pursed while he clearly looks for something, licking them in impatience. And as he weaves between tables, Namjoon has a clear view of a tight ass in tighter jeans, thick thighs bulging above the slits in the knees. As he rounds on a specific table in the back, Namjoon catches a glimpse of slim, delicate shoulders as the man’s jacket slides to his forearms. Namjoon glances down at the purple feathers lining the shoulder pads, trying to make out the words as the man bends over to place his hands on the table before him.
Kitty Gang
Namjoon’s throat dries. Kitty Gang, a notorious group of gangsters and good for nothings that wreak havoc as they please. Always pushing the law but never quite breaking it, at least, for the activities they get blamed for. Namjoon hadn’t heard that they were also so attractive. Maybe that was part of the man’s aura that drew Namjoon in to stare so long. Just like art, the deeper meaning of a person can shine through how they present themselves. And this man caused people to turn away, to scoot their chairs farther in, to gasp as his boot stomped on the floor.
Why is someone from Kitty Gang inside a student cafe? Namjoon heard about them on the edges of the college town. Were they here to cause an issue? Namjoon glanced around, trying to see if there were any other adults around. If not, he had a duty as a teacher. Especially since one of his students is here.
Namjoon does a double-take. His student, Jungkook, is who the member is talking to. Doing his best not to draw attention to himself, Namjoon tries to switch chairs. He’s not the only one, several girls craning their head to get a look at that powerful, attractive stranger. Namjoon’s not sure what he should do. If Jungkook catches his eye, maybe he’ll give him some kind of signal to help.
But when he catches sight of Jungkook, Namjoon’s surprised, to say the least. The boy is leaning back in his chair, laughing with the man. He seems completely at ease as he points to his screen. The pink-haired man steps around, putting a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder as he leans into his space to watch the screen together. They talk in hushed voices, a dangerous grin growing on the man’s face that regrettably makes Namjoon’s stomach warm, something causing him to squirm in his seat.
Then, the man grabs Jungkook’s jaw, holding him close as he plants a sloppy kiss on Jungkook’s cheek. That warming feeling in Namjoon’s gut grows, his heart racing. He tries to shake it off, adjusting in his seat. He’s always been drawn to the ghastly, to things eccentric that stand out. That’s art. That’s just what’s happening here. Of course he knows this is a dangerous situation that he might need to handle.
Jungkook shoves the man away. Namjoon’s jaw drops. Jungkook said no more than 5 words in class all semester. He always kept to himself, gentle smiles as he left the classroom, and here he is shoving at a… a gangster.
Oh, this is bad. He shouldn’t feel comfortable in this situation. He shouldn’t be locking forearms with the man as he shrugs his jacket back on, closing his computer and following the man out of the cafe. Namjoon watches, dumbfounded.
A feeling of protectiveness wells up in Namjoon, replacing the strange feeling from before. He has to do something as a professor and as an adult. Jungkook can’t go down this path.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the lecture hall empties after Namjoon’s lecture, he watches Jungkook make his way out of class. On time as always, attentive as always, and a soft smile as he makes his exit as always.
“Jungkook,” Namjoon says in a hushed voice. “Please wait a minute.”
Jungkook looks puzzled but pauses obediently, nodding as the others pass. Once the room is empty, he adjusts his backpack and asks, “What’s wrong, Namjoon?”
Namjoon feels a bit relieved for the difficult conversation ahead. He’d offered to all the students that they could use his first name. It helped level the hierarchy of the classroom, and it definitely made conversations like this seem more informal.
“I saw you at the cafe the other day,” Namjoon starts, setting down his paper and walking in front of the table that lines the Smartboard behind him.
Jungkook smiles a bit wider, “I know! It’s always funny seeing teachers outside of class.”
Namjoon chuckles. He remembers being like that, too. Wait, that’s not what this is about. “I also saw your friend.”
Jungkook tilts his head, eyes turned to the ceiling as he processes the information. “My friend?”
Namjoon narrows his gaze, not sure if Jungkook is playing dumb or really isn’t grasping it. If it’s the latter, it’s a good thing Namjoon stepped in because the boy is more naive than he expected. “Your friend with the pink hair.”
Jungkook’s eyes snap back to Namjoon. His cheeks turn a bit pink as he shrugs his shoulders. “Ah, him. That’s, yeah, that’s my friend.”
Namjoon straightens his glasses and tries to hold his shoulders back. When he practiced in the mirror, this pose looked relaxed yet strong. “Jungkook, you’re a college student, but you’re still young. You have many possibilities ahead of you. Some of them might seem more exciting than others, but you need to think about how what you do or who you associate yourself with now might affect your future. I try not to individualize praise or show favoritism, but you’re a good student. I can tell you’re hard-working. I just want you to think seriously about who you are getting involved with and make the best choices for yourself.”
Namjoon wants to pat Jungkook on the shoulder as the boy sinks in a bit more at Namjoon’s speech, but he refrains. Jungkook fluffs the back of his bedhead, not looking at Namjoon. “Ah, yeah, I appreciate your advice. Especially about me being a hard worker.”
Namjoon nods, giving a sympathetic smile. He was a junior in college once. Very recently in fact. He knows that there is a lot going on and a lot of tough choices.
“But Jimin isn’t as bad as people make him seem!” Jungkook suddenly blurts out. He seems surprised as Namjoon that he just said it, taking a step back like Namjoon might physically reprimand him.
“Who?” Namjoon asks.
“Jimin, my friend,” Jungkook says. Ah, the pink-haired man is named Jimin. It rings a bell in Namjoon’s skull, maybe having seen it in an article or two about Kitty Gang. But the real concern is Jungkook’s deeper than he thought, defending these people.
But there’s really nothing more he can do, Namjoon thinks as he sighs. He’s just a concerned teacher. He has no proof, and the only preemptive precaution he can do is send a notice to the university of potential care. That might be sent to Jungkook’s parents, and Namjoon doesn’t want to get all that involved.
“Look,” Namjoon tries, seeing Jungkook get more and more uncomfortable. “Just know I’m here if you need someone to talk to, okay? And if things get bad, you can reach out to me.”
“Things couldn’t get worse,” Jungkook says to the floor, where his eyes are now glued.
Jungkook’s word choice confuses Namjoon. He tries to lean into Jungkook’s field of vision. “Has something already happened?”
Jungkook lips part before he’s vigorously shaking his head no. Namjoon takes a deep breath through his nose and heads to the door, letting Jungkook know he can leave now. He can’t press this anymore or it might turn around on him.
“But if they do,” he adds kindly, just so Jungkook knows he’s here. Jungkook nods, cheeks a little red, and heads down the hall at a brisk pace.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, Namjoon finds himself in awe of how his students manage to study the material but not really pay attention to the details. Three students in a row wrote 7100s instead of 1700s. Is this the power of test anxiety?
Shaking his head, he makes note of the error just so the students are aware, but continues to read through the passages to check the content. He’s starting to think he may need to change cafes soon. This one is starting to fill with negative energy, too many times he’s been here frustrated, tired, and underpaid.
It’s midterms, so the place is also brimming with the anxiety of students. The chatter that boomed weeks before is now filled with grumbling, complaints, and unspoken stress that somehow rings the loudest in the large cafe. Students mill in and out, some stopping by for distractions or to cheer on friends, so Namjoon just hunkers down and tries to focus on the fourteenth response to how Michelangelo Caravaggio influenced other Baroque painters.
So it’s no surprise that he doesn’t look up when the door opens. Doesn’t bother when he hears hushed whispers and girls giggling. Doesn’t glance when someone walks past his table. He only looks up when the chair across from his squeaks against the floor and someone plops down, elbows on the table and leather jacket fringe spilling onto his essays.
“Heard you’re interested in me,” a voice practically purrs. Namjoon frowns, wondering who would interrupt his work.
When he looks up, he decides he really needs to change cafes.
Soft, plush lips spread so wide across a face that almost looks cherub-like as eyes crinkle from the power of the grin, a head propped by ringed-fingers tilting this way and that. Newly dyed pink hair brushes back and forth over dark eyebrows.
Jimin.
Namjoon’s pen drops from his hand. He watches the barista stare him down in shock, a previous student who must know who Jimin is. Shit shit shit. Namjoon closes his eyes to process, then immediately opens them, not sure what will happen if he takes his eyes off the man.
“Not exactly interested,” Namjoon quips.
“Oh?” Jimin’s lips pull together to pout. Namjoon’s terrified that his first thought is cute. “But Jungkookie said you even pulled him aside to chat about me.”
Namjoon blanches at the man.
“It’s okay,” Jimin sighs, lifting his head to turn in the chair, crossing his legs casually. When he tosses his head over his shoulder and winks at Namjoon, Namjoon balls his fists against the flutter in his chest. He’s not attractive, he’s dangerous. The reminder is right there on his jacket, the edge of a sparkly “K” visible in the creases of leather. “Everyone is interested in me these days. Has to be my cute face. Don’t you agree?”
Namjoon chokes on air. The man laughs at that, doubling over. The sound is similar to glass tinkling in a sink, the sound soft but not quite shattering, but it rings louder than anything else in the cafe to Namjoon. He’s not the only one, several others turning in irritation then immediately going back to their work when they see who it is.
Jimin must be a notable figure in the gang, Namjoon assumes. Even the kids here know who he is.
“I am not interested in you,” Namjoon finally musters when the man’s laughs die down. “I’m interested in Jungkook having a-”
“Oh my god,” Jimin clasps his hands over his mouth before he’s bracing on the table to lean in close. Namjoon gasps at the sudden intrusion of personal space, and the smell of oil and something fruity fills his lungs. “Teacher, you’re interested in one of your students?”
“What? No!” Namjoon hisses, eyes darting this way and that for anyone who might have heard. But the one place he can’t look is in the sharp eyes boring into him, an eyebrow quirked in his peripheral. He coughs and adds, “Mind your distance.”
Jimin snorts. As he leans back, a smirk spreads on his face. He tips the chair back, balancing on the back two legs. Namjoon wishes they would slip on the floor. “No, sir, I think you should mind your distance. Moreover, mind your business.”
Namjoon gives the man his attention again, only to settle him with a cold look.
“Jungkookie is one of mine, you see. He’s like family. Don’t go giving him silly ideas like backing away from me,” Jimin drops the chair to the ground, and Namjoon curses the fact that he jumps at the thud. “He can’t leave me. You hear? So butt out of your students’ lives and mind your own business.”
Namjoon feels his cheeks heat at that, immediately pissed off by this, this punk trying to tell him what to do. But before he can even continue, Jimin’s hand is on his. It’s gentle at first, sliding up, until he’s sitting on the pulse point of Namjoon’s wrist. Namjoon looks down, Jimin’s hand surprisingly small and warm, but the rings feel cold against his palm.
“Wouldn’t want anything to happen to you, now would we?”
Namjoon feels the words shock him. Like a bolt of electricity running from where Jimin’s thumb pinches his pressure point up into the back of his skull. He cringes, not sure if Jimin’s actually doing something or if it’s the mere weight of his insinuation making him uncomfortable. He glares at him, but Jimin’s just smiling pleasantly at where Namjoon’s pulse races beneath his thumb.
“Looks like you got the message,” he hums, turning Namjoon’s wrist over. He places the pen back in his hand and pats it lightly. “You should focus on your actual work, teacher. Help all those students fulfill their dreams of working in cafes or an office or something.”
Jimin shrugs lightly as he stands. Namjoon, on the other hand, feels frozen. He even finds himself nodding when Jimin tilts his head in search of a response. When he does, the man smiles brightly and claps a hand on Namjoon’s shoulder. Much the way Namjoon wanted to do it to Jungkook to get his point across, the sincerity of his words.
And Jimin’s words had been Wouldn’t want anything to happen to you, now would we?
When Jimins hand leaves him, the spot somehow feels warmer. His pulse is still racing not only in his wrists but in his ears. He can’t help but turn to watch the man leave, noting the way everyone else watches, too. And damn it all, he’s reminded of how good he looks from behind. More so than the toned figure visible in his loose clothes, it’s the air he exudes. Reckless and brazen.
And even worse, something in Namjoon wants to know what would happen. What that anything could be from a man like Jimin.

The Straw-Hat Among Us Ch.6
Yellow: Kizaru
People returned to their positions rather quickly, Kizaru quicker than anybody else.
He hadn’t actually known that the tunnel outside his room led to the outside, y’know? But now, ohohoho, now he had a short-cut! At least, he thought he did, until he tried to climb in there only to find it far too thin and narrow for anyone with a skeleton to enter.
A shame, really. Being a little mole, climbing through the ground… What a dream! Kizaru’s heart went alight at the idea, but as it turns out, moles didn’t have bones, unlike Kizaru.
Or didn’t he?? Who knew! Kizaru sure didn’t. Had he ever seen a bone in his body? No. Never. If he poked a few places there was something hard beneath his skin, but that wasn’t proof. Until he saw his bones with his own two eyes, he had to assume he simply didn’t have any. That’s scepticism for you!
Kizaru snickered to himself and sat down in his comfortable chair, letting it swivel in circles for a few seconds before settling down fully.
It was a pretty odd design choice. What with only being able to see a single camera at once. Not that he could change any of that now. Maybe Zoro could have?
A frown found its way onto Kizaru’s face. Zoro really didn’t deserve that. A man shouldn't be killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And was it so wrong to suspect himself? It just didn’t make any sense. Kizaru trusted Zoro! He brought him popcorn! Would an evil murderer do that? Oh no they wouldn’t.
On that note, Kizaru honestly didn’t think Teach did it either.
Sure, at first the large man had been acting quite suspicious. He pretty much stayed outside all the time, being in clear view of a lot of the cameras. Sometimes he’d go into an area Kizaru couldn’t see with the cameras, stay there for a while, and then leave. Kizaru had originally seen this as something rather interesting, but after that first meeting, he was given a view at what had actually happened.
In every area Teach had stayed at, there was an adorable little snowman that paradoxically melted Kizaru’s heart. They were so cute! Little cutie snowmen with little cutie heads!
No way a murderer could construct something like that!
And then after the first murder, someone was going around kicking them over, too? Horrible! How mean! Kizaru swore that he’d catch that snow-killer if it was the last thing he did! Sadly, since most of the snowmen were outside his vision, he couldn’t see any of it happen. All he saw was Teach going around fixing them up, which was very, very kind.
And then that murder happened.
Thinking about it made Kizaru a bit sad, but he did have work to do. So, he turned back to the cameras, and flipped through them a few times. Birdy entered the Laboratory through the normal entrance and not the disinfection area, Buggy and Usopp walked into the West Wing through the lower entrance, and Smoker stayed in the Office, probably to keep an eye on if anybody moved.
And then… nothing much. At rare moments, Kizaru could catch a glimpse of Usopp and Buggy in O2, and even if the cameras didn’t have audio or anything, he could almost hear them chattering about everything and nothing. They got along so well!
Kizaru smiled and flipped around a bit. Nothing else to be seen.
Hum. Kizaru switched back to the camera showing the entrance to O2. Usopp and Buggy were sitting on the floor in the main room, Usopp pointing to a small drawing of a leaf, making large motions. Buggy nodded, shrugged, crossed his arms and altogether seemed defiant.
Usopp.
He’s the one who asked Kizaru to check and see if something had happened in Electrical, since a lamp had gone out in the boiler room.
He’d done so, and then the lights went out. All things considered, it was Kizaru’s fault that the lights went out, but… It was Usopp who asked him to do something. This caused Usopp to jump straight to the top of Kizaru’s suspect-list. He hated suspecting such a young man, but…
Could he honestly believe there was any bone in that nose of his? Not so.
...Either that, or there had to be a bone in that nose, hence why he must have bones, hence why he must not be a mole. No, wait, an imposter.
This was all so confusing! Oh, well. Kizaru wasn’t the inductive sort, and he wasn’t about to start being it anytime soon. His little suspicions would stay in his head, where they belonged. Nobody could tell him his thoughts were coo-coo crazy if they didn’t know anything about them.
Kizaru flipped through the cameras a bit more. Usopp and Buggy were still in O2, Smoker was probably still in the office, and Birdy… was exiting the Laboratory! How interesting! Kizaru made a little note of it in his notebook. As shameful as it was to admit, Kizaru was the forgetful sort, so if someone didn’t pass by a bunch of times or wave at him, he forgot it within minutes. Hence his little notebook. Scribble scribble. A quick look at the time… 21:47. It’s gotten late.
Kizaru flipped through the cameras, waiting for Birdy to pop up elsewhere. For a while, he didn’t, but Kizaru did get a look at something else.
There was an odd quirk to these cameras that only Kizaru knew about. They could see the inside, too. Not much of it, but enough to see a few happenings. He could see a little bit inside the Office, a fair bit of where they kept the drill, and…
The Boiler Room. Where Usopp and Buggy were.
This in itself wasn’t odd, they’d been in there aplenty, but… The people in there didn’t know they were being watched. And since they didn’t know that, it seemed like the perfect place to commit murder. And now that he had reason to suspect Usopp…
He flipped through the cameras as quickly as he could, noted that Birdy hadn’t popped up elsewhere, and went back to the lower camera in the West Wing. They were inside the boiler room alright. Buggy was twisting the knobs while Usopp watched. Menacingly.
Kizaru stared at them closely before giving another quick flip through the cameras. He had to remember to keep a watch on the other cameras, otherwise, he might miss something important. Such as a murder.
He watched, he flicked, and he watched. Time seemed to go so slowly. Like a drunk snail.
He watched them, flipped through the cameras, and-, and he saw the Birdy. Entering the upper entrance to the West Wing. Into Electrical. He scribbled the time and person and place as hastily as he could before returning to the Boiler Room. They were gone. Had he been found out? Had Usopp realized he’d been watching? Had it been done elsewhere? What was-,
“Kizaru?”
His head whipped around to face the intruder. Hadn’t even heard his steps. “Yeeeees Birdyyyyyy?”
A scowl twisted Birdy’s complexion. “Don’t call me that.”
“Call you whaaaaaat?”
“Whatever the hell you just called me,” Birdy growled.
Well, okay. “If you say sooooo, Pinkyyyyy.”
Pinky was about to say something else when he stalled himself. “Fine. I’m leaving.” And he did. He spun on his heel, and left. Odd behaviour, but Pinky was an odd man, so it was okay. Kizaru scribbled over every time he’d written “Birdy” in his notebook and replaced it with “Pinky”. That’s probably better, right?
He turned back to the cameras and flipped around a bit. Pinky left through the upper door, Usopp and Buggy were nowhere to be seen…
He let his electronic eye linger on the Boiler Room. Maybe there was a body there. Maybe he just couldn’t see it. Hidden behind a pipe or something. Leaning in, he inspected it as closely as he could, taking in the details of it. Nothing seemed out of place. Nothing in the least.
There was a little sound behind him. Like the shuffling of a mole or something.
He glanced back, but couldn’t see anything in that darkened hallway.
He turned back to the cameras. Usopp was there, and Buggy, too! Good, good, they were alright. Better alright then dead, heh.
There was a shuffle again, but louder. Steps. Rocks clicking against rocks. He glanced back. There was a shadow back there. Darker than the dark hallway.
“Hellooooo?” Kizaru called out. No reply. He blinked, removed his glasses, wiped them off, and once he put them back on, he found that there was nothing there. “Huhhh…”
Usopp was on the camera again. Kizaru tried to focus, but it was hard. Something was happening, but he didn’t know where, or what, or to whom.
That is, until the blade was in his own throat. Blood splattered across the pristine shining screen, showering the room in dark red light.
The last thing he heard was the pssh of a door opening, and someone saying: “Shit, I forgot why I even came here! Kizaru, do you-,”
And then, he was gone.

its about time i actually started designing the antagonists instead of just daydreaming about where the protags occasionally meet them
i dont generally put warnings here but. some talk of suicide below def. worth the heads up............ the read more is just because its Fucking Long tho lmao
this one has actually been slightly fleshed out in my mind? they dont have a name yet, and its hard to know what Rank they are since ive been moving the story away from violence and A Coming War for a few reasons, most recent one being my friends story (tho they dont know about mine) has gone down the route of having a war at the end.. mostly tho i want to explore telling a good and worthwhile story without a focus on just who can beat up the other team better. The main protag Barren, for example, im bringing down the route of using their visions and ability to see inside peoples minds (in cryptic, symbolic landscapes and stuff) to take down people from the inside out, generally by working through their reasoning and traumas and whatnot to enable them to see clearer and with more empowerment........  and then one protag (Kindle) who joins later knows how to fight, and the third protag (Stardust) keeps them out of trouble, but later reveals that, well, spoilers that have already been seen a million times, hes actually one of the gods who fought in the huge war that happened in the past, and when thats revealed its when he has to fight again but......... he avoids it due to carrying the trauma and issues surrounding that war, as well as his own virulent self doubt and self hatred. so. this character to get back to the point? Wouldve been like a general or something, but im not sure how far I want to take them away from that, maybe to being a high priestex or something? the gods are supremely important to the story, and, spoilers, the main goal of the main antagonist is to bring back the original creator deity of the world, Siirka
I actually have a lot of appreciation for this particular antagonist character, they werent involved with Barren’s mistreatment when Barren was raised in their city by their masters so..... Theyre very much blinded to whats going on, I guess when youre raised in a city which glorifies what the leaders are doing and you get the chance to work for them, and you havent seen the depths of their evil youre going to work extra hard and...... push little red flags out of your mind............ They were extremely loyal and fully or. Mostly. on board with everything happening that they were told about, and worked super fuckin hard to get to the rank theyre at, always pushing boundaries and training and improving and grasping for any sort of genuine praise and signs theyre doing good that they can get, wanting to do their absolute best for the cause and. be worth something to someone. it gets very obsessive, especially as doubts and red flags start actually encroaching on their goals
As Barren and co start causing more trouble, this character’s storyline actually develops separate to the protags. Definitely influenced by them and their continuous defying of the antagonists, which doesnt plant seeds in their mind but waters the ones that are there....... They start realising things arent as peachy and golden as everyone was teaching them it was, they realise their betters either dont really know what theyre doing or may have selfish intentions, or, god forbid, intentions that could land everyone in a fucktonne of trouble - basically all the views they were raised on start having major cracks and Plot Holes in them and they have to come to terms with that. They do a lot of inner work struggling both with their crumbling view of reality and with the fight between either breaking it down more or trying to patch it up with lies, the sort of lies that even the person telling them doesnt know are lies. They get more and more frantic, more detached from reality as much as they try to hold on, struggling with their own identity and with dissociation, and with their mental state unravelling under stress and the inversion of what they were taught as right being morally dangerous, and what they were told to hate being morally good, until finally their boss is killed to further the protag’s goals......... before the protagonists can get to him............ by them. and then they end their own life to prevent themselves being tortured and imprisoned by their masters. I had a scene in mind where the protag’s spend a little arc trying to get to him because they need to take him out, and this character knows theyre coming, so the protags finally get to him at night and find him dead with this character standing over him. They get a brief chat before telling the protags to run, that theyll take the blame for it and the protags will get away without being harmed if they go quick enough, and then they step out of the window BUT its very fuckin important that its made clear that theyre left with no choice - or, more importantly, that theyve finally made their own moral choice in life with their own mind and own feelings - that theyre in their right mind/not acting on despair and need to go before theyre captured - both for theirself but also so they cant be interrogated and have no chance to spill that the protags were there. They basically redeem all the bloodshed and indoctrination theyve had a hand in - and oh, i forgot this bit of important context. Because of the whole staying away from violence thing, they do it to redeem themselves, to stop at least their boss spreading anymore shit, partially also to get revenge for all the lies and stuff, but also importantly because they dont want that on the protag’s conscious. They can handle it, and since they intend to die, they will bring it to their own grave. Death happens rarely in the story, because I want it to be as heavy and serious and soul-destroying as it is irl. They do the traumatising act of having to kill someone and live with the blame because theyve already planned out that they’re going to die to avoid capture.
Im really.......... wary of portraying suicide in Siirkaia but given Stardust is heavily implied to be back from the dead (having the god of death, Mercy’s, black hair which only he has, though for most of the story its ambiguous as to whether hes working for or is Mercy ((its neither they were lovers lmao))) and Barren and Kindle’s mother Inferno also killed herself its............... im just gonna have to cave and realise im gonna need to address it. I mean, the protags already show (as being the grandchildren/children of and a suicide victim) that its a fuckin tragedy not a solution to anything, but, look. the story is intricately tied to my own mental health and thats shit ive dealt with for years so its going in the melting pot baybey! Also. as if i will EVER write this....... but i still want however i portray it to make clear that..... its a fuckin tragedy and honestly Not The Right Choice IMO
Basically, as a character theyre very hardworking, very Very ambitious, slightly obsessive, and i guess Unhinged because oh boy i am just giving out free personal issues to these characters huh. Their story is ideally going to be a bit more fleshed out than the other antags, because theyre meant to be a bit of the protags in that side of the story. Theyre like.... a case study in the complex and not black/white concept of redemption. The Demos, the people of the story, are at their core defined by submission and being led to terrible things. They were all originally created by the terrible god of life and chaos Siirka to be entertainment. Siirka had passed by Earth and took a liking to the pain and suffering of humanity, specifically loving the way they scream, and so built a fake Earth out of his own substance/power (in universe his body and hair) that was an unoriginal almost exact copy of Earth with.... absent details, like all the animal species being just identical copies of one example of each species, in all white, and a submissive race that looked like humans so that he could rule over them..... The Demos have since been taken from Siirka’s reign, since Siirka was banished in a war by Mercy and the trio of Stardust/Moonshine/Midnight (Siirkaia until i change it roughly translating to “Siirka’s absence”/”no Siirka”/etc), but its still central to the story of the world that the Demos are susceptible to being taken advantage of - though strangely they arent Super different to humans - and to being oppressed, since thats what they were made to be............. Like, Cool Backstory Bro, but its central to everything, it represents whats happening now both metaphorically and literally, the race thats susceptible to being betrayed and used is now starting to be betrayed and used again. Cycles of abuse continuing, learning the worth of the spirit, thats all the story of Siirkaia. The protags of the story represent the spreading empowerment, thats what Mercy gave to the Demos, the power to choose, to exist, to create your own path........ And this character represents that right to choose. Theyre a flower beginning to bloom in a garden full of frost. Theyre hope, and hope taking root and being received and acted on, showing that even if your actions just help one person they were worthwhile. Of course other Demos receive that enlightenment, but this character represents the hope in the Demos, but also the “good” in the “evil”, that, while most of the antagonists’ actions are unforgivable at worst and in no way exempt from criticism at best, theres a reason people are driven to do evil things, and theres a lot of corruption of the mind and personality that happens to drive people to those points. People can act in horrible ways, but its always for a reason, whether its their own trauma or not....  Even “I wanted to” has heavy implications of reasons behind it. This character is one of the few that did the work to begin to escape the cycles they were born into and its important they have their part in the story be heard
as much as i want them to be understood by everyone, as a schizotypal person i see that most people............ do not even try to Start understand people they find slightly odd, so making them “understandably mad” as in showing them show some of the Odd traits of being detached from reality/humanity with the reasons those things come about, and, you know, with the appreciation that its not just “ooo crazy random, unpredictable, youll never know what theyll do next!!” its....... actions that just seem different to those who dont do those actions..... Either way, however i push their character in regards to being misunderstood, i really want their end to be understood, or rather. I want them to be understood in the end. Barren can be incredibly empathetic and understanding, id really love for their final moments to be..... mutual? They did what had to be done for things to change and get better, and in the moments where they meet Barren/Kindle/SD, they finally get seen for what they are, they finally get seen as an entity beyond all the lies pushed onto them, a person who was led astray, who had the goodness in their heart and found the strength to multiply it, to try and right their wrongs, who was, although it looks on the outside like they had it all, actually been manipulated and mistreated by their higher ups and used as a pawn so they didnt have to get their hands dirty, they could just pass on the work to someone else. I really want them to, while they cant really be redeemed because of the damage thats been done, have a few moments of actual peace at the end of their story
.............................or maybe they could run away with the main trio lmao but no, that cant........ really happen because of the important dynamics and the personal (as in interpersonal not about me) nature of the protags and also. while i want the Demos to be revived again at the end, they do get swept away into Siirka’s hair when hes brought back through the big boss of the antags, Ka-UrenKa-, oo spoilers. so. i dont really know if i want to kill a protagonist it seems cheap (the main trio survive because they werent made by siirka........... literally a long fuckin story) because. at current, Siirka being brought back happens out of nowhere, and while the audience technically know its coming should they piece together the symbolism of Barren’s visions, its supposed to be unexpected and. idk man.
anything else? Oh yeah i think they were originally conceptually conceived to Brutus by the Buttress so you fucking KNOW that i couldve skipped ALL this writing just to put that song in but hey. i would say its their theme song but while inspo was taken from theme and lyrics its actually not accurate to their life beyond a few lines?? and also the overall fucking Mood

Nic’s Episode IX Treatment
Tumblr media
So in 2018, I started a very short lived project where I asked Star Wars fans what their dream Episode IX script would be. It didn’t really end up taking off due to my own busy schedule, but I had a lot of fun doing it and it was a blast hearing other fan’s theories and wishes.
I wrote a Star Wars Episode IX treatment of my own for fun. I figured with The Rise of Skywalker out now, it might be fun to see where I envisioned the franchise going in the future. I wrote this in 2018 before in any of the casting was announced and before the Palpatine reveal, so it’s very different from the finished film. Happy to hear thoughts and feel free to message me your Episode IX ideas as well! What would your dream version of this movie have been!
Episode IX -Once and For All
Opening Crawl:
A galaxy divided! Lead by the Supreme Leader Kylo Ren and his mysterious knights, The First Order tears across the galaxy. No world is safe. Planets burn. Standing in opposition, General Poe Dameron leads a sprawling Resistance with the help of Commander Finn and Rey, the last of the Jedi. Together, they hope to free the galaxy from falling once again into tyranny. In an act of evil, The First Order has attacked the neutral world of Mornio. To save its innocent people, the Resistance rushes to its aid…
Synopsis: The Skywalker legacy comes to a close as a galaxy in the midst of a massive civil war heads towards a climactic final battle. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, and Kylo Ren are forced to face their pasts and destinies.
We are six years after the events of The Last Jedi.
Central Cast at the start of the Film:
Main Cast: Rey- As the new final bastion of the Jedi, Rey must not only fight for the freedom of the galaxy but the preservation of the Order itself. Rey has fashioned the traditional lightsaber into a Pike-Saber and has been studying for years the texts taken from the last Jedi temple. She fights on the front lines of the war and finds herself becoming a legend in a way she never anticipated. Rey finds herself drawn to individuals who are powerful in the Force and finds herself trying to take on the teacher role while she is still learning. Finn- Finn is now a key figure in the ground corps for the Resistance. With his familiarity with the First Order and experience in infantry, Finn has quickly become one of the most important members of the Resistance. However, he soon finds that he is also a legendary figure to the First Order as well and it becomes clear that he may be the secret weapon that may win the war. Poe Dameron- Having given up his days of being a pilot for a life of military leadership, Poe is now a general in the Resistance military, carrying on Leia’s legacy. Poe still struggles with a need to have his feet on the ground and with his emotions. He also finds himself head over heels for Finn and having trouble figuring out how to balance his emotions for Finn while carrying out the mission. Kylo Ren- Now the Supreme Leader of the First Order, Kylo Ren balances his own newfound power with his still volatile emotional and mental state. Having found that his new absolute power leaves him wanting, Kylo has become obsessed with ancient Dark Side secrets in the hopes of discovering something that justify his actions in life. He is joined for the first time in the series by the remainder of the Knights of Ren, Luke’s former pupils. He has taken up residence in Darth Vader’s palace from Rogue One. Think a sort of Gothic Romance character. Overwhelmed with secrets and emotions and held up in a castle.
Supporting Cast:
Rose Tico- Rose is now the leading engineer and ship designer for the Resistance. She has become good friends with Rey and leads active recruitment efforts for the Resistance for rescued planets. Lando Calrissian-Lando meets up with the main crew at Leia’s funeral. He has a deep regret for having sat out the war, claiming that one war was enough for one lifetime, but that he should have been there for Han and Leia. Tyla Calrissian –Lando’s daughter and current head of the Mining Guild. Tyla is one of the most powerful individuals in the galaxy in that she controls all of the mining companies. Her profits help steer the war.
Ichon- An alien that Rey meets after the opening battle. He is Force-Sensitive and unsure of how to take care of himself and this new power within him. He looks up to Rey and see her as a potential teacher and mentor. General Hux- Hux is vying for power to usurp Kylo Ren as the ruler of the First Order. He has begun to see Kylo and Force-Users in general as being antithetical to galactic order and not worthy of their place in the galaxy.
Ambro Ren- The second most powerful/senior member of the Knights of Ren. Has a long standing rivalry/mentorship with Kylo. More of a Snoke loyalist. Sees Kylo as being a detriment to Snoke’s longterm vision. Played by Michael Mando (?)
FN-4928-A young Stormtrooper that Finn befriends while undercover
  Act I: Discoveries (45 minutes)
We open up in the midst of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance above and on the surface of a tropical planet, Morneo, with a diverse alien population and large coral like plants. Poe, Connix, and Rose are leading the orbital battle against the Resistance fleet while Finn and Rey head up the ground battle. Rey makes a dramatic reveal, maybe kind of like Wonder Woman, of her new staffsaber and it becomes clear that she’s an icon to the Resistance as she saves a platoon of soldiers and locals lead by Finn. Poe and Rose organize an attack in which a hidden portion of the Resistance fleet slingshots around Morneo using the planet’s gravity to their advantage. This sends the First Order fleet into retreat and the Stormtroopers on the ground are forced to surrender. After the battle Finn encounters a dying Stormtrooper that recognizes him and speaks his name. This forces Finn to realize that his reputation has grown amongst the First Order and he may be instrumental to their defeat. Rey makes a connection with a local alien, Ichon, who approaches her after the battle. He may be Force sensitive and is unsure how to approach the situation. Rey is overwhelmed by this and retreats. Rose recruits new warriors from the planet to join them in the fight. One of the aliens shows Rose a stockpile of old Imperial technology including a gravity well. This excites Poe as he realizes that it may be key in helping to trap the First Order fleet. As Poe excitedly begin to explain this to Rey and Finn he receives a communication from command. Leia has passed away. We skip to Leia’s funeral which is held on a planet that has grown to double as both a refuge for people displaced by the war and for the Resistance. Chewbacca and 3PO give a respectful but humorous eulogy, but Poe and Connix deliver the final lines. At the funeral, 3PO introduces Poe and Rey to Lando. Lando, who is remorseful that he has stayed out of the conflict for this long, offers his assistance in joining the Resistance and mentions that his daughter Tyla, who is currently the leader of the Mining Guild, may be able to be won over as an ally. We cut to Kylo Ren having taken up residence in Darth Vader’s former palace on Mustafar. Kylo having sensed that his mother has passed and growing frustrated with his position as supreme leader has become obsessed with attempting to find purpose in his life and finding where Vader’s rule failed. He spends much of his time attempting to commune with old artifacts. Here we learn more about the Knights of Ren and their relationship to Kylo and Snoke. One Knight of Ren in particular, Ambro Ren, a Snoke loyalist, begins to piece together what really happened to the former Supreme Leader. Hux and Kylo fight via hologram. Hux wants him to take a more active stance in the war effort, which is a sentiment echoed by some of the Knights, who were off fighting the war during the events of The Last Jedi. Ambro Ren, who sees Kylo’s inaction and instability dangerous to the goals of the Knights and the First Order, begins to speak with Hux about potentially overthrowing Kylo.
Finn lets Poe, Rey, and Rose know that he is leaving to attempt a revolt in the First Order. This is hotly debated by the team especially Poe, but Finn convinces them that it is what he needs to do. Rose talks to Poe about letting Finn go. She tells him that Finn will always do what he thinks is right and that you can’t hold him back from doing it. She also tells Poe that she knows how he feels about him, but she’s known for a while that Finn only has his eyes on one person. Finn packs his things and Poe wishes him off. He gives Poe a one way encrypted commlink to communicate with the Resistance if needed. Poe warns him that he knows that this will be tough and that it’ll probably bring about a lot of old experiences and bad memories. Poe kisses a surprised Finn as he leaves. Finn isn’t sure of what to make of it.
Ichon, who joined up with the Resistance, approaches Rey in her chambers to try and discuss what just happened to him. He feels something inside him he doesn’t recognize. Rey isn’t sure how to teach him. She tries her best to talk to him but finds that she is lost in her words and is just as new at this as he is. Maz Kanata leads Finn to the First Order world enslaved world of Onderon. Finn convinces Maz to speak to her allies in the outer rim and to bring help for whatever battle may lie ahead. Finn slips into the ranks of the Stormtroopers using a stolen suit of armor and is quickly deployed.
Act II: Where are We and Where are We Going (50 minutes) Lando organizes a meeting between Rey, Rose, Poe and Tyla. It doesn’t go well. Lando and Tyla don’t have the best relationship in the world. We learn that Tyla more or less won control of the Mining Guild after Lando bungled control of it for so long. Tyla doesn’t see the benefit in taking sides in the war if the Mining Guild can profit off both sides and feed customers on Canto Bight and elsewhere. Rose makes a plea for Tyla to see the damage that remaining neutral to the war is doing to the galaxy, but she is mostly brushed off. During the conversation, Rey sees Tyla move a datapad subtly without touching it and senses that Tyla may be Force-Sensitive and approaches her after the meeting. Tyla brushes her off. Kylo is plagued by visions in the Force he does not recognize and begins to suspect that they may be from Vader. He becomes obsessed with the visions to the point where he begins to shirk his duties as Supreme Leader leaving the Knights to host meetings with Hux and the remainder of the ruling council on their own. Ambro proposes his plan to assassinate Kylo. The Knights are beholden to Snoke’s vision, not that of Kylo. Rey and Poe share their frustrations with one another about the state of the war. Poe pulls up a map of the galaxy and talks to her about how the war is going, which isn’t well. The First Order is still running off momentum from the initial attack all those years ago and the Resistance is just too unorganized and scattered to mount a single attack. He worries that without Leia they may be lost. He wishes he could be more like Finn or Rey and be a symbol people could rally behind.
Finn is deployed with a large amount of Stormtroopers into a battle on the fungal world of Felucia. They land into a massive D-Day like conflict between the First Order and the Resistance/local milita. We follow Finn in the battle almost exclusively and his struggles to keep his cover while not actively killing members of the Resistance. He ends up using his energy to save wounded soldiers and protect Stormtroopers. This ends up earning him a reputation with the other soldiers. One, FN-4928, takes a liking to Finn and sticks close to him once the fighting has calmed down. After the battle, Captain Phasma, now a cyborg, arrives to oversee the rest of the campaign. Rey returns to her chambers and is visited by the Force Ghost of Luke who helps guide her in her worries about training new Jedi in Ichon and Tyla. Luke apologizes for not being able to be the teacher she needed, but he sees within her the ability to be something he could not: the future of the Jedi Order.
Emboldened Rey approaches Tyla at night. She finds her in a combat training session with several sparring droids. Tyla is a real bad ass and knows how to handle herself with a blaster pretty damn well. Tyla explains that when she was younger the other members of the Mining Guild were always jockeying for power. Assassinations weren’t uncommon so she trained herself from a young age to defend herself. Rey mentions how the Mining Guild may bring her life power and stability, but there is a yearning in her that Rey recognizes. Rey mentions how she used to be lost and alone, but the Force guided her and has given her a purpose in life. Part of that purpose may be teaching people like Tyla. Tyla is convinced and leaves the Mining Guild decision to a vote with a bewildered Lando acting in her stead and decides to train with Rey and Ichon. Poe leaves a flustered 3P0 in charge of rigging the vote in their favor. Rose and Rey have an emotional goodbye as they wish each other luck on their missions. Rey says that Rose’s hope inspires her.
Finn marches through the jungles of Felucia with the rest of his squadron. One night, Finn sneaks away from camp to send a message to Poe confirming his survival and status. FN-4928 finds him and quickly learns his identity. Instead of turning him in, he swears loyalty to his cause, which makes Finn feel uncomfortable.
Rey takes Tyla and Ichon to Ach-To. She tells them of the legend of Luke Skywalker and how he was both just a man and something much more. Together she helps them center themselves and commune with the planet. Rey reads to them from the ancient Jedi texts and helps the two of them tap into the Force and their potential.
Finn and his squadron participate in an assault lead by Phasma on a Resistance bunker. The troopers make short work of the defenses. Inside, they discover that the crew were in the midst of sending a distress signal to the Refugee planet. Believing they have found the Resistance’s base, Phasma informs the Knights of Ren. Kylo is finally visited by the ghost of Anakin Skywalker. Anakin tells Kylo that he has failed to learn from his past and that he walks a path not unlike his own. It was a path that brought him nothing but pain and suffering, but the Light still found him in the end. Kylo rejects this and claims that Anakin was weak and he sees through his lies. Anakin attempts to reason with him but Kylo pulls some unforeseen Force whosawatsit and banishes Anakin’s spirit. Kylo storms off. We see illuminated in silhouette the Force Ghosts of Anakin, Leia, and Luke. They hold hands. Anakin tells them he tried. Luke says he knows and he’s sorry. Leia says that they’ve done all they could. The fate of their family is in the hands of another. Kylo approaches the Knights of Ren. Infuriated, he demands action. They are to attack the refugee planet with their entire fleet and banish hope from the galaxy.
Act III: The War to End All Wars  (45 minutes) Finn sends a warning to the Refugee Planet that the First Order knows their location and is prepping an assault. He confides in FN-4928 that he isn’t sure of what to do and that he had hoped that he would be farther along in his plans to free his fellow troopers by now. 4928 tells him that he believes in Finn and he knows other troopers will follow him if he were tell them to. Knowing that the First Order is on its way, the Resistance preps for what could be the climactic battle of the war. Rose and Poe prep the team for their plan. Rose will deploy the salvaged Imperial gravity wells to trap the First Order fleet in transit so that the Resistance can ambush them. Rey, who is still on Ach-To, calls Poe about what they should do about getting Finn out of the fleet. Poe says that they have to prioritize taking out Hux, Phasma, and the First Order leadership, but that he can’t stop Rey from conducting “Jedi business.” Rey, Tyla, and Ichon depart Ach-To.
On the refugee planet, word has spread that the First Order is about to attack. These people, who have already lost their homes and loved ones, begin to panic. Poe sees the fear in the people around them and with encouragement from Rose gives a rousing speech about the importance of what is occurring here. The people on this planet represent everything the First Order does not: chaos, freedom, diversity, ingenuity, and hope. They have a chance to bring that back to the galaxy and make the losses of those that came before mean something. R2 and BB-8 broadcast this around the planet. Poe leaves unsure if his speech worked at all. Rose gives him a pat on the back. She’s proud of him. She leaves for the gravity wells. Poe leaves with what little military he has, but he is soon joined by hundreds of ships from the planet. The fleet, which is made up with a wide array of diverse and crazy looking ships (alliance, alien, Maz’s pirates, even some prequel ships, feel free to load up with cameos), preps for launch. The attack begins and both fleets engage. It’s easily the biggest space battle ever done in the franchise. The First Order seems to have the upper hand but Lando arrives on the Millenium Falcon co-piloted by Chewbacca and Nien Nunb and accompanied by Tyla’s Mining Guild forces. In the midst of the chaos, Rey slips her ship into the star destroyer Finn is on. Finn and 4928 begin their own broadcast on First Order frequencies, but they are attacked by Phasma and her men shortly into it. In the middle of the fight Phasma is about to stab Finn with her spear, but 4928 pushes Finn out of the way and is impaled instead. The image of a trooper sacrificing himself for Finn is broadcast across the fleet by Finn’s holorecorder. It causes general chaos throughout the troopers and infighting. Ships erupts into mutinies and TIES switch sides. Finn and Phasma duke it out once and for all. Kylo leads his men, who are preparing to betray him, into battle in the hopes of stopping the Stormtrooper uprising. Just as the Knights of Ren are about to go all Julius Caesar on Kylo, Rey and her team enter. A massive battle breaks out between them with each team leaning into their respective skills. Ichon uses some neat ass weaponry kinda like a yo-yo from his native planet that he combines with limited force abilities. Tyla is like a John Wick-Jedi with a blaster. The duel is a claustrophobic and brutal battle that travels through the corridors of the ship. We flash back and forth between the space battle and the duels. Rey and Kylo have a very intense battle as their respective teams clash. We allow for some dialogue here about who should carry the future of the Force and about the darkness and light in each of them. Ichon is killed by the one Knights of Ren. Horrified Rey leaves herself open and has her arm cut off by Ambro. Kylo holds her at saberpoint and asks for her to surrender.   Hux sees the battle collapsing around him and decides to take things into his own hands. He seals himself inside his command chamber and begins barking direct orders. First he has every First Order ship prioritize fire on the gravity wells. The First Order loses multiple ships but they manage to succeed in destroying the wells and killing Rose in the process. Several Resistance pilots, such as Snap Wexley, are killed as well. It looks for a second that the First Order may retake the battle. Next Hux turns his guns to the star destroyer containing all of our heroes. After the first blast the entire ship turns into chaos. The battle continues in a ship that’s clearly about to fall apart. Kylo calls Hux and demands answers. Hux claims that Kylo and Force-Users in general are a danger to the First Order and galactic stability and that he is taking charge for the good of the new Empire. Ambro shouts that this wasn’t the plan. Realizing that he has been betrayed, Kylo uses the Force to snap all the necks of the surviving Knights at once. Kylo leaves for the bridge. Rey tries to stop him and tells him to try and leave the ship and that Leia’s son does not deserve to die like this. Kylo tells her that she was wrong about him and he leaves. Finn defeats Phasma and takes her captive. The surviving members of Rey’s team make their way to the hanger bay. They along with Finn are rescued by Lando and company aboard the Millenium Falcon. They escape. Kylo cuts his way to the bridge and collides the collapsing star destroyer with Hux’s command cruiser killing Hux. The battle swings to the Resistance’s side. Phasma, the current highest ranking member of the First Order, is ordered to call a surrender of their forces. Some of the ships turn tail and run but most prepare themselves for surrender. A few days have passed. A massive memorial wall has been erected on the refugee planet. It is inscribed with hundreds of names of those who have been lost in the battle and war. The names when pressed reveal a short hologram. Rey presses Rose’s name and an image of her with Paige appears. She inscribes Ichon’s name. She regrets that she doesn’t have a holo to add to the wall for him. She wonders if she failed him and if she’s cut out for this. Tyla arrives and assures her that without Rey, she would still be sitting behind a desk somewhere, not aware of the power that’s inside her. Rey awakened the Force in her and can do it for countless others. The two embrace knowing that they have a long path ahead of them. As they leave, Lando touches the wall and sees a brief hologram of the party on Endor. He smiles. Finn welcomes several Stormtroopers to the ranks of the refugees. They feel awkward and Finn helps to find ways for them to feel at home and useful to their former enemies. One of them tells him he’s sorry about his friend that died, and Finn says that Rose was like her sister and died like a hero so others could live. Poe approaches him and says that he’s proud of him. He keeps finding hope where there is none. Finn goes to mention the kiss to Poe, but he stops him. Poe says that he’s known for a while where Finn’s heart lies, and that he should follow it. Finn goes to Rey and kisses her. She returns it. We pan out of a world that is slowly coming back to peace. We cut to: A cloaked figure walks across a barren world. He is burned and walks with a cane. He has a robotic leg. He removes his cloak and takes a drink of water. He sits down and looks at the desert sky. A glowing hand reaches out and touches Kylo’s shoulder. He reaches for it. The End.

You were a quite young elleth, but mature in every other way. Your family was not royal, known or rich. Many people, elves, dwarves and other creatures only knew you from your work. Like making new robes, sewing, painting or even teaching elflings.
Once you were working on a new robe for Lord Elrond, when King Thranduil came into your chambers in Rivendell, saying he needed a new robe. It was the most awkward moment in your life, but definitely worth it as after some months of talking, drinking wine, you from friends became something much more. Of course your love blossomed so you decided to move into Mirkwood, staying within his Kingdom. It was an adventure to say the least. You, the lover of the King, nobody knew you, they give you questioning glances, but made way for their King nonetheless. You haven't stopped working, at times even helping Thranduils people. They all appreciated the extra help, and many grew fond of you.
On a special night, your anniversary, you asked to see his whole face.
"No, Meleth, I do not want you to hate me." he said calmly, but his heart was beating like he just ran a marathon.
The only thing he was afraid of after his wife's death is your leave. You'd have nightmares, you'd look at him like he was a disgusting orc. However, you loved him too much, so you whispered sweet nothings into his pointed ear, assuring him you wouldn't ever leave him. It was quite strange to see two tears drop into his knees, but he showed you what the dragon did.
After he turned your way he gasped, not understanding why you were still there, with him. You just smiled and wrapped your arms tightly around him.
                                                    **************
Today was no other day like before. It was the meeting of the Kings. Thranduil was to arrive in Dale to discuss important stuff. The dwarf King, Thorin Oakenshield, survived the battle, giving Azog a brutal death. He took over the Lonely Mountain, many dwarves came back from far lands to their rightful home.
All three kings came to an agreement, that didn't mean they liked each other, but they did sometimes give each other good advice. Like a King to another King. Simple as that.
Thorin once saw you with Thranduil and instantly fell in love. He envied the Elven King for stealing your heart, though that haven't stopped him from trying to get you.
"Thranduil, you must be careful, that she elf of yours must not be trusted." thorin warned, lowering his gaze to the other King that stilled.
"And do tell me, why is that?" he asked, walking again.
Thorin let out a quiet growl, not liking what he was about to say next.
"It's in her eyes, your throne, your power, your money. As you told me once, she came from a poor family, what do you expect then?" he breathed out, trying to sound genuine.
Thranduil's brows furrowed, not knowing if he's lying or telling the truth. But why would he lie? Thranduil knew Thorin longer than you and every advice given to him was true, so maybe he is right...
"Where is Bard, I don't have all day." he changed the subject, quite uncomfortable.
The dwarf King knew he struck a spot, the Elf is considering his words. Oh how wonderful, Y/N will finally be his, that's all Thorin wanted.
When Bard arrived, everything went back to normal. Thranduil traveled back to Mirkwood, where Legolas, his only son awaited him.
"Mae g'ovannen, Adar. I am glad to see you." Legolas smiled.
Their father - son bond was renewed. Occasionally they trained together, went riding or got rid of the nasty creatures living in the woods. They both were happy, well, Legolas only disliked you, he'd like you to leave them alone. Only his mother was meant to be with Thranduil and no one else.
So the only thing he could think of was lying about you, one would've thought Thorin agreed with Legolas on this, though they both hadn't planned destroying Thranduils relationship. The Prince bribed his fathers most trusted adviser and member of the council, to make the King banish Y/N from Mirkwood, forever.
"Ah, Ionneg, how did your training go?" he asked casually, nodding to his people.
"Very well, but there is one matter I would like to talk over." Legolas said, his cheerful tone changing to a cold one.
The Elven King had enough of talking, but seeing his son's gaze it must've been something serious. He eventually led Legolas to his chambers.
Taking a deep breath, he started, "... you know, we all worry about you and want what's best. On the other hand we cannot do that with Y/N by your side," that got Thranduils attention, Legolas tried to contain his smirk.
"Landion saw her sitting on your throne, laughing ominously , like a witch that just seduced her victim. Y/N was talking about you, about taking your throne and kingdom. Ada, you can't let her." he pleaded, obviously that made Thranduil believe him.
His golden hair flew in the air, as he turned around. His icy blue eyes, piercing Legolas'. The Elf couldn't possibly think of you doing such thing. He saw the love, adoration in your eyes. Thranduil's hands trembled, his breathing hard. Closing his eyes he breathed out a 'ego', Legolas leaving right after. He was so lost.
Help me Valar...
                                                ****************
Later that day you came to your shared chambers, finished with today's work you were ready to relax. Walking in the dark room the only light came from the balcony and fire. Although you heard Thranduil you didn't say anything, thinking he was asleep.
"Y/N." said a raspy voice.
Thranduil sat on the love seat, near the fireplace. He held a glass of Dorwinion wine, right from Rivendell. Elves couldn't easily get intoxicated, especially Thranduil, as if he was alcohol-proof.
Taking a step forward, you replied, "Yes, my love?". Putting a hand on his shoulder you felt him tense up. For the first time in your relationship, your touch hadn't soothed him, quite the opposite.
He scoffed, ".. My love, tell me what were you doing in MY throne room?" he emphasized 'my'.
Confused and tired, that was all you felt.
"Thranduil, I have been at work all day, what are you talking about?" he scoffed yet again, not pushing your hand off of him. He just rejected you and you don't know how to feel about that.
"Stop acting dumb. Legolas told me about your little scene. I'm not that thick as you thought. Get out of here, you witch." he spat, throwing the glass of wine onto the wall.
You shrieked, frightened of his odd behavior. The glass shattered, wine spilled on the perfect Elf-designed floor. Thranduil stood, towering over you. His icy glare did not soften, even watching your tears stained face. It only made more furious.
"EGO MILBO ORCH!" that struck a nerve.
Your hand made contact with his cheek, the sound echoing in the room. It was quiet for a moment, before he said, "Get out of my Kingdom and never come back, witch."
With that you left, tears streaming down your face, blurring your vision. Taking nothing you ran as fast as you could, just to be behind those gates, in the fate of the evil creatures guarding the woods.
The trip to Rivendell took you at least four days, fortunately you were a skilled hunter, so with a pained expression you ate a small bunny, fox or bird. On your way out of Mirkwood you haven't crossed roads with those nasty, six legged demons, you doubted you'd survive.
Lord Elrond was your regular customer, only letting you make his robes. Hearing the sad news from you, broke his heart. Not only did he give you food, but a place to live. Oh, how grateful you were, nearly squishing him in the tight embrace.
"My dear child, do not fear, for you love shall win over the dark. It just takes time to realize that." he said softly, rubbing your back as you sobbed.
"Th..thank you, Lord Elrond, for all of this." you rubbed your eyes, giving a weak smile.
Moving away from you, he whispered something you could not hear. All day you snuggled under the covers, trying to forget Thranduil and what he said, although your heart was still beating for him and always will.
A knock woke you up, yawning you stretched. Scrambling to the door, you opened it to face none other than Thorin Oakenshield himself. That was confusing, what was the Dwarf-King doing at your door...
"Good evening, my lady. I hope I do not impose?" he quirked his brow, a small blush on his cheeks though the massive beard made it nearly impossible to see.
"Your highness, of course not, but what brings you to my chambers?"
He chuckled, embarrassed. "It is a fine evening, how about a walk, if you don't mind?" Thorin avoided your gaze. Sighting you tangled your arms together and wandered off.
Walking along the forest, a small lake found its way into your view. Awing, you let go of Thorin. The lake perfectly reflected the whole moon tonight. It was breathtaking.
"Y/N, I wanted to tell you something for a while..." Thorin said, playing with his fingers from all the nerves.
Not turning your attention, he continued, "The first time I saw you, i thought 'what an angel, i want her,' but I've never got the chance to talk with you, as you'd stay by Thranduils side-"
"First of all, King Thorin," she spat, narrowing her eyes, now looking at him. "I am not some object you can possess, I also have feelings, but unfortunately I do not reciprocate yours. My love for Thranduil is strong and everlasting. You are not the first and last to hear this." you huffed, running back to your chambers, leaving a crushed Thorin.
                                                 ********************
Thranduil paced back and forth, Legolas told him everything after seeing his father heartbroken for some time. He didn't want that for him, it was selfish of him. The adviser that was paid to insult Y/N was no longer wanted in Mirkwood.
The Elven King was red from the anger, however he felt sorry for Legolas, understanding him in a way. And oh how bad he feels for his outburst, for saying the worst thing to you. It broke his heart into million pieces.
Now, riding on his giant Elk, with five guards  galloping on their mares beside him, they were headed to Rivendell, for their future Queen and Thraduils love.
You were siting on a branch of the largest tree in Rivendell, though at first it was difficult now you felt more confident. Observing the world from atop, you saw something moving, when it got closer you saw who that was.
Groaning you still watched, of course Thranduil wants to insult you again, but you doubt he'd make an effort to travel from Mirkwood to Rivendell just for you. That was ridiculous.
The King disappeared from your view, your heart was hammering, you missed him so much it hurt. Then again he popped up, now nearing the tree you were on.
Dismounting the giant Elk, he looked up at you, with a frown.
“Meleth nin, please, come down!” he shouted, worried of you falling.
When he heard nothing, but still seeing you sitting there, watching his every move with those big, beautiful eyes, he tried again.
“Y/N, I’m terribly sorry! Gi melin, my stars, my moon, my whole world!”
“Nin gwerianneg.” you responded, tears pricking the corner of your eyes. You saw him holding his own tears.
Choosing to climb down you slowly and carefully pick each step. At last, your bare feet touched the wet grass. You felt Thranduils arms around you, holding tightly and never letting go.
“Forgive me, Y/N. I listened others and not my heart, but now that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, travel with you to Valinor. I want you to be my Queen.” he finished, breathing in the scent of your hair. He let himself cry, even in the presence of his guards.
“I love you too, Thranduil, so so much. Never doubt it.”
He smiled, “I will never.”
You became the Queen of Mirkwood, and a friend to Legolas. He wasn't jealous anymore, more happy for his fathers joy. The people adored you too.
A year later a new elfling came to the world, that day did not go without a celebration.

So. Here’s something about me. I’ve seen the Star Wars movies more times than I can count. I love them. Star Wars is part of my fandom life on the internet and part of my life IRL. BUT. TLJ happened. I saw TLJ once or twice in theaters, and that’s it.
I know there’s been a lot of meta on TLJ over the past few years, but I watched it again last night because my mom asked me--to prepare for tros. And now I have enough emotional distance to finally say things about it. feel free to ignore, as most of it is complaining.
Problems:
1. Pacing -- what the hell. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.
2. Holdo and Leia’s lesson for Poe. WHAT THE HELL. His problem, that he says out loud, multiple times, is that he just wants to KNOW what the plan is. Not that he wants to take over or change things. He literally just wants reassurance that they’re not all gonna die because they’re in a terrible situation and the leader he knows and trusts is in a coma--so can this new leader do something to show his team some respect and earn trust. Holdo is played off as SUCH A LEADER AND HERO but she’s NOT. Part of being a leader is yes, being able to see a solution and go for it even when the people around you don’t see it yet. But it’s also super important to give your team a vision for where you’re taking them. Inspire them into action, don’t just assume they’ll do whatever you say--definitely don’t do that right off the bat. And you need to recognize different personalities on your team and work with them all. Poe’s personality and problems are swept under the rug by Leia and Holdo with a smirk and a laugh, even though they are legitimate (like, tell me we have a plan not to die). They know he’s the type of guy to rush in and save the day and take over, so why not work with that instead of yelling at him and talking down to him and kicking him off the bridge??????? Seems like you’re setting yourself up for failure, ladies.
3. Kylo Ren is irredeemable -- which is a terrible message for star wars. The entire franchise is set up around the fact that Vader is redeemable. He went to the dark side because he wanted to save people and felt restricted by the Jedi Order. He wasn’t a bad person. Luke was able to convince him of that again. COOL. AMAZING. But now Kylo has done so much crap that one movie to redeem him would be like a slap to the face. He hasn’t earned it. We know nothing about his struggle, really, besides that one time he mistakenly thought Luke was gonna kill him so he killed a bunch of kids at his school and ran off to join an evil army that he learned about by secretly communicating with its leader (and isn’t THAT a heavy-handed message). That’s not enough for a redemption arc. It won’t be enough. And that SUCKS.
4. Luke’s entire story. It’s just not Luke. I hate it.
5. Romantic love being used like That. Where did it come from? I’m sorry, according to this movie they’ve known each other for a handful of HOURS. Why does she have to kiss him in order to show the message of saving what you love??? Why is romance the best way to show that??????????? Also, she’s been working off her sister’s sacrifice the entire movie (yknow, a few HOURS) and that sacrifice was not romantically charged. Why does Rose’s have to be??????????? Maybe this is just a complaint of my aroace self, but it just came out of the blue and doesn’t jive with any of the other stories being told?
6. I still really honestly do not understand the first order. Its structure? Its purpose? How it came to be??? Like. I’m sure there’s lots of places I could go to get that info, but it’s not clear in the arc of the movies alone, so that’s not good enough.
7. The heavy-handed lesson on war profiteering. This was just not subtle at all. There was no nuance and it didn’t fit in with the other stories being told. Like. How hard would it be to weave this into the larger story in a more meaningful way?????????????? Example: They actually go work with this code breaker and in the course of working with him, find out that he knows so much about First Order tech because he helps (present tense!) design it. He’s in it for the money from both sides. Or, what if they needed a part for one of their own ships, not a code for First Order stuff, and they go to find their supplier and learn THEN about the money made from war and the fact that people profit off both sides??????? Idk man. Do better.
8. The heavy-handedness of all the lessons in this movie. What the hell? Protect what you love. Save lives instead of being a hero. Hope needs to be there even when you can’t see the light. Destroy stuff in order to start over fresh and strong. People make money off wars, the good side and the bad. Rich people are evil because they take advantage of kids and animals. What the hell? Why did we need to be slapped in the face with lines about all of this? Multiple times??? Are we just done building stories that teach us things through actions rather than words? It’s just all so shallow. Let me see these problems during this movie, let the characters see what happens when you don’t do those things, when you don’t recognize them--and then let them change because of it. Bad things happened to all the characters (still most mad about profiteering) and then someone just told them what they should learn from it, before the characters or the audience even had time to process what had happened.
9. The idea that rebellions need to be almost completely destroyed to start over. The idea that anything that isn’t working correctly needs to be completely destroyed in order to be fixed (Jedi order and resistance). I’m sorry. That’s not as hopeful as you think. I get cleansing fire stories. I do. They have their place. But on this scale? To wipe out hundreds or thousands of people in the resistance to finally get to a point where it can work?? This would make sense if the resistance was full of corruption, but that’s not shown AT ALL. Or it cold make sense if this was tied into the story of war profiteering, and all the parts of the rebellion that were being capitalized on were destroyed (i mean, they were, but that wasn’t shown--the people were shown). At least with the Jedi Order, they showed us that there was corruption and hubris and that things needed to be balanced out. What’s the balance found between a corrupt government killing all the people resisting it??????????? Don’t put these two stories on the same plane please. Terrible message, sorry.
10. The fact that Rey has like 0 training. It’s been pretty heavily laid on us in the entire Star Wars franchise that training is important and takes a long time. Even Luke trains for multiple movies in the original trilogy, and it’s seen as pretty hasty training. I understand that there’s a critique of the way the Jedi do things but -- is the lesson we really want to go with that anyone can wield this power untrained and without study????? Education, training, experience--those are all very important in gaining self-control and wisdom.
Things i liked and had not realized or forgotten:
1. The lesson that the way to defeat evil is to love and protect is cool. More than cool. It’s a great lesson. I have NO IDEA why it needs to be so heavy handed, either. And again, stop with the romantic love being the epitome of that.
2. Yoda’s force ghost convincing Luke to get his butt into gear and move on from protecting/living in the past. Luke was stuck, and Yoda was so Yoda to get him out of being stuck and it was lovely. Although, I’m not sure what’s served by not including a scene of Rey taking the books. Why did she do it? What was she thinking? Was it a hard choice for her? Was it Yoda and not Rey????
3. We need a legend. From the first moment of this story Rey is trying to become like what she thinks Luke is--the guy who saw good in everyone including Vader and defeated the Empire because of it. Which is AWESOME. What a cool idea, people trying to live up to their heroes to defeat evil empires. GREAT. Frustration again: after this movie, I don’t want her to succeed with Kylo. Which SUCKS because it’s my favorite thing about Star Wars. (can you get more iconic than throwing away your light saber in the middle of your final battle and saying that you’re not gonna fight anymore???????)
4. I just love Rey, Finn, and Poe. They are so GOOD. All of them.Every time they’re on screen, I’m so HAPPY.

———————————————————————————————————
New York City - 2018
He didn’t know who he was, not even his own name, and he knew nothing about what he was, only that he wasn’t human.
A week ago, he had found himself on a bus and had been dropped off in the middle of nowhere with no money and no possessions. He did know that his name started with the letter E from the cuff links he had been wearing that day and he had quickly discovered he was a creature of death, after tearing an innocent man apart at the Sunnyvale bus depot, where he had been left.
Other than that, everything was a blur. He knew nothing and had wandered aimlessly for the past week, feeding on the local human populous and surviving on his wits alone. There were no others like him, not that he had found, and he had to learn about his vampirism on his own, through trial and error.
Then one night, while he fed on some poor bastard in a back alleyway, he saw the flash of white and witnessed an angel emerge from the shadows. She was gorgeous, whoever she was, with long white hair and ancient sapphire eyes that seemed to peering into his very soul, humbling him. He watched her gaze at the still warm body beside him as she floated closer and he actually felt shame for killing the man, for acting so beastly.
She came around on the other side of his kill and gracefully knelt down, placing two fingers upon the man’s forehead. Her fingertips began to glow with a pale blue light and there was a musical humming sound that quietly echoed rhythmically. Both faded after only a second and when it did, the man’s eyes flashed open and he gasped, sitting up while frantically looking around him with terror, before he got up and ran off.
The creature of death stared in amazement. The human had been dead, of that he was certain, but this goddess had breathed life back into him, giving the man back what he had stolen!
“Who are you?” The astonished vampire asked her, as they both rose to their full heights.
“I’m Eternity,” she introduced herself with a smile.
“You’re not like me. A monster, I mean,” he dumbly stated next.
Eternity shook her head, “Alas, I am not.”
He drew closer to her then, drawn to her light, “Then what are you? An angel? A goddess?”
“I’m not a god, let me make that perfectly clear,” the ethereal beauty responded firmly. “Nor am I an angel. However, I am an immortal from beyond the stars, making me not of this world. Despite that fact, I do happen to know a lot about the earthly supernaturals.”
Her admitting knowledge about supernaturals inspired hope in him. If she knew about supernaturals, then perhaps she could aid him.
“Please, can you help me?” He begged her desperately. “I don’t know anything about what I am. I haven’t been able to find others like me, to help me figure it out. Please, I know I have no right to ask this of someone like you - a creature of life, but I need you to help me.”
Eternity gazed at him for a moment, standing perfectly still with only her long hair rippling in the slight breeze, making her look rather majestic. Then she smiled gently and answered, “Of course, I will help you, if that is what you wish of me. Come. This way!”
She turned effortlessly and began to make her way out of the alley, with him following closely behind. Once they were on the street, in the open, the vampire noticed how the humans around them acted when they saw her pass by. Each of them stopped and stared at her in wonder. Some were in awe, while others were nervous, and others still weeped at the sight of her. It was as if they all knew instinctively that she was something different, something special.
The ethereal beauty took him to a local twenty-four hour diner, where they sat across from each other in a booth. Her graceful elegance seemed very out of place inside the rundown establishment, something he would have found amusing if he hadn’t been so desperate to learn from her whatever she knew about what he was.
“So, tell me what do you know?” She asked him first.
He shrugged, “Nothing, only that I’m obviously not human, at least not anymore, and I have this insatiable desire to drink human blood. What happened to me? What am I?”
Eternity sighed, “Well, my friend, you are a vampire, which is why you desire human blood. You need it to live, much in the same way humans need water and food to survive. As to what happened to make you this way, simply put, you died and were resurrected into the creature you are now.”
“Can you cure me?” He asked her.
She smiled sympathetically, “I know it seems like a curse, to be as you are, because you must kill to survive. Yet, there is many wonders to being a vampire, believe it or not. You have a greater purpose, being as you are now than you could ever be as a human.”
He frowned, “How can you say that? You’re not a monstrosity like me, but a creature that has the ability to breathe life back into others. You don’t kill.”
At that, Eternity laughed lightly, “You think I have never taken a life? I assure you that I have, many times in my long life, including my bastard of an ex-husband. I know perfectly well what it means to kill, but the difference between us isn’t life verses death. It is that I kill to protect others, as I only extinguish the lives of those who would do the innocent harm.”
The vampire found it hard to imagine such a pure seeming woman killing anything, but what did he know? He supposed looks could be deceiving. After all, he appeared human, but was a far more dangerous creature underneath.
“Then why didn’t you kill me?” He asked. “I was feeding on an innocent, when you found me.”
“You are only doing what you were made to do,” she explained. “You’re a predator. You hunt and kill to survive. Should I go into the Serengeti Desert and kill all the lions because they kill innocent animals to feed themselves? I should say not!”
He found her intriguing, particularly how this creature of life didn’t see him as some sort of monster to be eliminated. He was grateful for that view, especially since he had only seen himself as an evil demon, a curse upon the world.
“I can show you a better way to deal with your predatory instincts,” Eternity told him then. “I can show you how to feed without killing your victims - a catch and release method.”
“How?” He questioned.
She laughed slightly again, “I told you that I knew about the supernaturals of this world, including how each species works. Therefore, I am quite capable of teaching you about your talents and how to use them.”
He found himself smiling then, feeling a sense of relief that he had finally found someone to help him learn about himself. “Thank you, Eternity,” he said in gratitude.
“You’re welcome,” she paused. “You need a name. Do you remember yours?”
He shook his head, frowning in concentration, “I don’t know. I had a pair of cuff links with the letter E engraved on them. So, I assume my name started with an E, but I can’t remember it or anything from before six days ago. Maybe my name is Elliot? Edmond?”
“How about we call you Elijah,” suggested Eternity with a small grin. “It’s...elegant and it suits you. You look like an Elijah.”
That name sounded vaguely familiar, but like the blurry visions that danced around his mind, but that sense of familiarity vanished as quickly as it had come. Even so, he decided to go along with it, agreeing that the name did seem to suit him. It fit him like a puzzle piece and he decided not to question the reason.
“Elijah sounds perfect,” he smiled softly. “So, what is the first lesson, o’ great teacher of vampirism?”
“Well, for now, catch and release should be our priority,” the shimmering woman told him, as she rose from the booth and held her hand out to him. “Come along, my friend. Let me show you the better path.”
With that, Elijah put his hand in her and let her guide him away, on a journey of self-discovery and of romance.
In the weeks that followed, the ethereal beauty stayed with him, helping him learn about himself and his kind. She taught him first how to catch his prey and feed from them without killing them. She did this by instructing him on how to compel his victim to allow him to feed from them to a point and then forget they had ever had an encounter with him, letting the human escape with his or her life. He found he had to feed more often this way, but he didn’t mind, because his conscious was clear of the atrocity of killing and the blood tasted much better without the fear of dying tainting it.
Eternity also taught him about the ring he wore which turned out to be a daylight ring. She instructed him in heightened senses, and other superpowers afforded him as a vampire, but his favorite thing he learned from her was how to fight. She did this so that he would be able to defend himself, should the need arise, protect vying to him that she was very capable of being dangerous. More so than himself certainly.
Their training sessions was a thrilling experience for him. He had felt a connection with her from the very beginning. However, the attraction he felt toward her became apparent very early on, as they sparred. Her dominating feistiness called to his baser self, inspiring his less than appropriate desires to take her, to turn the tables and dominate her completely, to throw her to the mat of the abandoned gym they worked out at and fuck her until she could only scream his name.
At first, such a powerful urge had been alarming in it’d strength. Yet, over time, he found it to be as intriguing as her otherworldliness.
One such training session, Elijah had managed to pin her to the mat, after weeks of learning her movements when they faced off. He had managed to retain control over his urges - another thing Eternity had taught to him - up until that point, wanting her, but never acting. However, in that moment, impulse got the better of him, and his mouth descended upon hers in a hungry kiss.
She reciprocated eagerly, kissing him back with the same devouring intensity, which made the beast inside him soar. However, when he grew bold enough to begin tugging at her stretchy workout clothes with the intention of having her at last, she pulled back, reaching for his hands to lace their fingers together and pull them away from the material. Despite stopping him, the ethereal beauty gazed at him with barely contained lust.
“What is it? Did I do something wrong?” He asked her breathlessly, worried that he had overstepped by getting carried away.
Eternity smiled with fondness, as she released one of his hands to reach up and caress his cheek tenderly, “I wouldn’t say you did anything wrong, but I do think that perhaps it would be best, if we slowed down. After all, there is a right way of going about romantic entanglements and you, sir, have yet ask me to a first date. That is the protocol, before we stumble into bed together.”
With a sheepish grin, he lifted himself off of her and helped her to her feet. “I’m sorry,” he apologized. “I didn’t mean to offend you.”
The shimmering woman reassured him, “You didn’t, but you’re an amnesiac vampire. Taking things slowly is the best course, even with this...with us. So, are you going to court me or not, good sir?”
Elijah chuckled, before he bravely asked, “Miss Eternity, would you let me take you out to a night of dinner and dancing tonight?”
Playfully, she pretended to think about it, before she grinned and nodded, “Aye. That sounds like a splendid idea.”
They both fell into good-natured laughter and then proceeded to get back to training for the rest of the afternoon. It had been a difficult task to do for the vampire, after feeling the ethereal beauty’s lips upon his own and her body beneath his. He had been able to taste her flavor whenever he licked his lips, savoring it, as he kept control over his still raging desires for her. Yet, he had managed to focus on the fight practice and ignored his lust enough to get by without incident.
That night, Elijah took an elegantly dressed Eternity out for a lovely, romantic dinner at a local restaurant, where they drank wine and chattered away like the best of friends. Truly though, in his current state, she was his only friend, but more so, she was his rescuer from stumbling around in the darkness of the forgotten alone. He lusted after her sure, but he felt more than that for the beauty.
Over their weeks together, she had told him all about her own life. The pale woman had told him about her role as a guardian, a protector of those whom couldn’t protect themselves. She also told him that she was a queen of a very powerful kingdom, ruling over other immortals on the other side of what he learned was a divided universe - immortals on one side and mortals (and Earth-based supernaturals) on the other.
Eternity even informed him of her abusive marriage to an unworthy husband, detailing the struggles and trials she had faced, before she ended him and his madness. Elijah had felt touched when she shared with him something so painful, letting herself be vulnerable around him. He felt closer to her the moment she had told him that tidbit of her past.
Between her willingness to share with him everything and her helping him out of the darkness, it was no wonder he had begun to feel something meaningful for her and he’d like to believe, she felt the same. He knew she did by the way she gazed at him with such profound affection as they sat across from each other, enjoying each other’s company.
After dinner, they went dancing, where Eternity showed him that she was quite the performer. She had gotten up on stage at one point and began to sing and dance in a choreographed way, putting on a show for everyone there, all to impress him. Afterwards, she rejoined him on the dance floor to carry on laughing and dancing with him, eventually pulling him in close enough to kiss him.
The urge to have her roared to life again when their mouths collided in heated passion. He wanted her so badly that it took every bit of willpower not to act on the desire. However, he managed to refrain, keeping himself in check. He respected her boundaries and wouldn’t overstep again.
Before long, the pair tired of the loud, obnoxiousness of the club and escaped it for a calm, relaxing stroll around Central Park. Hand in hand, they casually walked about, chatting about this and that, including the somber topic of whether or not he’d ever remember who he was. To distract his troubled mind, Eternity went to the piano they came across that was sitting there for anyone to play, if they so chose.
She sat down and began to play a soft graceful tune, before she added lyrics to the melody. She sang a sweet love song, gazing at him every now and then, prompting him to join her at the instrument. He listened to the rhythm, before out of nowhere, as if on autopilot, he began to accompany her, playing just as beautifully as she did.
Apparently, he knew how to play the piano, he realized with surprise.
“Elijah, these few weeks have been amazing,” Eternity said to him at the end of their song. “I have never felt quite so contented in another’s presence the way I do in yours. I want you to run away with me. Let’s go off on a fantastical journey. There is this beautiful little French village I know called Manosque. We could build a life there...together.”
The vampire was taken aback by her suggestion, as he hadn’t expected it in the least. It seemed sudden, random.
“I thought you wanted to take things slowly,” he grinned at her teasingly. “I’m no expert being an amnesiac and all, but living together is some far off, possibly romantic place after one date seems a little fast to me. I don’t know if my sensibilities can take it.”
The ethereal beauty rolled her eyes and smirked as she teasingly fired back, “Well, I was going to bed you this night on our first date, so I suppose I didn’t truly mean it when I said we should navigate our budding romance slowly.”
He knew she was just teasing him, but to hear her say she wanted to sleep with him intensified his always existing desire for her. However, for the moment, he continued to keep himself in check, thinking about her proposal to start a life together elsewhere in the world instead. It didn’t take long for him to realize that he wanted to be with her, just as he had been for these past few weeks and that he’d go anywhere in the world so long as she was by his side.
Death had met life and he couldn’t be parted from her. He didn’t want to be. Not that she said, she’d leave him, if he declined, but he wanted to go wherever she did and an adventure in the French country sounded wonderful to him.
It was then in that moment that he realized that he no longer cared who he had been before waking up on that bus, only that he was a new man - a man in love, with the possibility of a glorious future ahead of him. He could know peace and happiness with this shimmering beauty at his side. He already felt it.
Therefore, Elijah reached to gently grab the back of Eternity’s neck and pulled her in for a brief passionate kiss, before he rested his forehead against hers and murmured, “I’ll go wherever you go, Sweetheart.”
“Good,” she smiled and then she kissed him with all the passion she could muster.
Things grew heated quickly between them. They kissed hungrily, while their hands moved in urgent caresses over each other’s bodies until the need became too much and Elijah tore his mouth from hers before he took he right then and there without care of who might happen upon them.
“Let’s go to France. Tonight,” he suggested impulsively.
Eternity giggled at him, raising her eyebrows at him in surprise, “Truly? You wish to simply pack up and go?”
“Yes. I just want to be with you,”  Elijah admitted freely. “I want a fresh start in that far off place with the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met.”
A look of utter adoration crossed her sweet face as she reached up with one hand to cup the side of his and with a soft laugh, the ethereal beauty said, “Alright then. Let us be off on our new adventure...together.”
The vampire didn’t waste another moment and quickly took his lady by the hand, whisking her off first to his apartment and then onto a plane that would take them to their new home - a home where they would live forever in peace.
To Be Continued....

I saw your drawing of reigen took over by mogami (great one btw good job!) and i was wondering what kind of world would he show to reigen to make him come to his side. What he tells him? Do you have any ideas?
Duuuuude~! I’ve been thinking about this for a while! (and omg thank you so much i wanna actually redraw it and kinda build on the concept) I’ll put my answer under a “Read More” tab because it’s long and because I like to go into detail about dark things.
First order of business: Does Mogami actually need the victim’s willing participation for him to possess them? Or is it something Mogami simply enjoys doing? My belief is the latter, for we can see that Dimple can successfully take over the security guard at the Claw outpost, even though the security guard never gave his consent. Thus, evil spirits can take over any body without much trouble, regardless of their agreement. Of course, psychics are a different animal to tame, as Dimple struggles to “posses” Ritsu, but… well, Reigen isn’t psychic. This means that anything Mogami does to Reigen won’t exactly be out of necessity, but rather his own twisted amusement.
Okay, onto the actual topic. The obvious comes to mind: playing on his guilt for lying so constantly to Mob and those he has surrounded himself with, the feeling of helplessness once Mob is out of the picture, his fear of himself. “Obvious” doesn’t mean bad. I think it would be lackluster if any of these things Mogami didn’t exploit. But, I think anytime you play with those psychological elements, you have to add a bit of an oomph factor for it to be absolutely effective. The vision (rough, barely designed as it is) is this:
Grey world. Red sky. Or perhaps vice versa. I can’t quite explain why, but the color red has always made me uneasy. Maybe the red bleeds onto buildings, coats the side of them and makes them darker. Crows always seem to be Mogami’s touch, so crows it is. They pepper the side of buildings, eyes following Reigen wherever he goes. He has expressed a fear of bugs, so have hundreds of them. Hundreds crawling around in his apartment. They gnaw at his clothes, at his freshly-pressed suit. A fetid stench is in the air. It’s always hot, making him sweaty and gritty and always uncomfortable in his skin.
I think it would be best for Mogami if he had Reigen keep all of his memories. Just have him embarrass himself constantly in front of Mob, failing to help him, to teach him, and maybe watch the boy fail constantly because Reigen gives him the wrong advice. He cannot stop lying.
What would Mogami be trying to tell Reigen? How would he get him onto his side? Maybe Mogami would be trying to tell Reigen that he’s using Mob. Maybe Mogami hates Reigen because he’s using Mob. So maybe Mogami will do everything in his power to make Reigen feel horrible about using a child to his benefit.
Something like that. Damn, I really want to write this now.
