Just in case anyone isn’t looking to read this , ima add a cut but my answer is below !

I have been in a relationship before , yes and I’m in one right now . It was my most serious one and it started when I was about 16 . However , it was really toxic so it didn’t end well

After it ended when I was around 19 , I didn’t date until just recently . One thing I’ve come to learn is you don’t wanna rush it . Rushing it means you’ll most likely end up saying yes to someone you aren’t compatible with or one that just isn’t good for you . That leads to other complications that just keep going .

I can understand feeling left behind . In my family most people my age are married and I’m kinda behind on that . Not only that , but a lot of my high school friends are married with kids . But for me , I’m not interested in marriage just yet . I mean I am , but not as much as you’d think . And I don’t think I ever want kids . But I get feeling like you’re the only one who doesn’t have what others have . Marriage for me almost feels like pressure from others like “well when are you getting married ?”

You should just make sure that those feelings are your own and not pushed on by others . Like , do you want a relationship or do you feel like you need to be in a relationship ? For myself (to compare) , I feel like i need to be married but I don’t want it just yet . That need is bc others keep bringing it up (parents , aunts , etc) and so it’s not my own thoughts .

Otherwise , there’s definitely someone out there for you , but I wouldn’t rush to meet them . Tho I was young , I still rushed into that relationship . And I feel like I was so desperate to be in a relationship that I let someone hurt me over and over and just accepted it . Don’t be like me .

There’s also a lot more positives to being single than in a relationship . It’s especially good if you need to work on yourself . Like maybe you feel like you need to be more patient , more open with your feelings , more comfortable with being alone , etc . Build yourself first then worry about a relationship . It’s also best when it’s natural rather than searching out of desperation . Not to say you sound desperate or anything . I just feel like I was bc I felt like all my friends were in a relationship .

Last point was never being in a relationship . There’s nothing wrong with that . Honestly , healthy and strong relationships come from experience and time anyway . Lots of relationships w you’re younger tend to fail (not all the time) due to lack of experience or maturity . Meaning , even if you don’t enter a relationship now , you’ll be better able to handle it a year from now that you would’ve when you were younger . Im definitely way smarter at 24 than I was at 20 . Or even 22 . Relationships aren’t easy and they shouldn’t be thought of as such either . But they can be fun when things go well .

Dance | Dan Heng x Reader

This is technically angst but I wouldn’t entirely say it’s super duper sad. But I thought I’d warn yall anyway💕

It’s written at 2am so I didn’t edit it. Please don’t mind any mistakes. also it may be a bit incoherent but I kinda just wanted to get it out cuz I was a lil excited for it.

Side note: I don’t wanna spoil but I know Dan Heng’s story thingie aaaaand we’re just gonna slide that under the rug for the sake of the story lol

“Hey, wanna dance?” Dan Heng eyes shot to you, meeting yours and seeing the expectant look in your eyes.

“Not really.” He replied flatly. You, on the other hand, didn’t seem bothered as you stood up from your position and took a couple steps away before you just started to move. Slow steady motions to follow the soft song that played in the quiet room.

Dan Heng’s gaze softened as his head relaxed against the cold, metal wall behind him. You were such an enigma to him. You fit in with the other members of the Astral Express so perfectly yet there was something so astoundingly special about you. He gravitated to you with such little hesitation, it was scary.

As he watched your figure move to the music that would cut out every now and then, he felt a sense of peace within his aching heart. The more time he spent with you, the more he was sure that if the world fell into a perpetual darkness, you’d just end up becoming the sun for everyone. Your bright smile, your warm attitude, your kind heart, and your unending desire to help everyone around you.

You were the sun that lit up his heart.

Your sweet laughter filled the dark room that would have small bursts of sparks within the wiring of the console for the door. Dan Heng’s green eyes watched still, even if it was hard. Even if the radio cut out every few seconds, the song playing reflected what he felt in his core.

A smile tugged at the man’s lips as he slowly moved his head side to side watching you move. Dan Heng’s eyes shot to the window and through the cracks he saw the thinnest light far in the distance on tbe horizon.

The sun rises every single morning.

Chuckling softly, Dan Heng pushed himself up and stepped towards you, taking your hands.

Your ice, cold hands.

He squeezed them as he slowly spun you around before meeting your gaze.

“I love you…” he murmured softly. You smiled up at him and he saw the little wrinkles in the corner of your eyes- it was a genuine smile.

“Your timing is so shit.” You said, making him laugh a little as he nodded.

“Yeah, well, better late than never.” He shrugged before wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer. “Go on a date with me.”

“Yeah? Where? Dinner dates are cute and all but they’re kinda expensive sometimes.”

“Doesn’t always have to be expensive food, right?” He asked as he spun you once more. Suddenly, that static in the radio melted away for you two and you barely registered it anymore.

“Absolutely. But let’s do something fun! Amusement park or like a club!” You suggested, eyes brightening.

“That sounds like a lot of noise for someone like me.” Dan Heng reminded you, but you waved your hand as you kicked some broken metal plating aside.

“Those are my conditions for the date.” Dan Heng adored that attitude of yours. That cute stubbornness that wouldn’t go away even if you were facing your demise. You’d probably look the god of death in the eye and laugh.

After all, the last thing you’d want is a date where you’re cooped up in a room.

“Club it is. We’ll dance some more.” He said as he squeezed your hand, feeling his vision blur a little. You looked absolutely beautiful, even with those bruises on your face and your dirty clothes.

“Are you gonna take me home too?” You asked as you leaned closer, sliding your hands up his chest and resting your wrists on his shoulders.

“Should I? On the first date?” He teased, making you roll your eyes.

“Yeah! But it’s you!” You insisted, cheeks flushing red a little. Dan Heng leaned closer, his nose brushing against yours before he nodded.

“Ok, I’ll take you home then.”

“Well wake up the next day and have some breakfast! We can make it at home! Cook together in our undies.” You suggested and he just nodded along.

“As long as it’s not overly unhealthy, I like the idea.” Dan Heng’s grip tightened around your waist as you stumbled against him a little.

“We’d be such a cute couple.” You said with a slight sighing, as if you knew people would be jealous. Dan Heng nodded along as he looked down at you.

At some point, flashes of red filled the room but you two were simply too engrossed within your plans and dancing.

“Aren’t you gonna kiss me?” You asked with a slight pout.

“I thought I was gonna do that when I took you home.” He said, tilting his head a little making you scoff.

“Well, you can kiss me now too!”

He loved you. Dan Heng loved you so much that no matter how scared or sad he was, it all disappeared when he was with you.

Even now.

“Ok, I’ll kiss you now then.” He murmured as he leaned. His lips softly brushed against yours and you two melted against one another ignoring the taste of blood.

The kiss was soft and gentle, speaking all the words you two possibly couldn’t. Conveying those hidden feelings and making up for lost time all at once. He adored every inch of you, every little particle that belonged to you.

Pulling away, Dan Heng’s hand cupped your cheek. The light that cascaded from the cracked window got brighter but he kept his gaze within yours.

The radio must’ve stopped playing but you two kept swaying to the static. The red flashes of the soundless alarm no longer worried him. His vision blurred and he could no longer see your wound that most likely began to bleed to again from the movement. The repair tools that were abandoned fell from his mind just as they had from his hands. They sat, long forgotten, by the doors that were locked shut.

The sun would come up tomorrow but neither of you would be alive to see it.

Even so, he was the happiest in his life. With you, within your embrace, within those beautiful eyes of yours. His sun shone brightly down on him, bathing him in those warm, comforting rays. Though hope of rescue was long lost, the happiness that bloomed within him thanks to your light was enough.

Dan Heng didn’t need to see the sunrise tomorrow. He had it right here, in his arms. He was dancing with the brightest star he’d ever seen.

Honestly, this man doesn't have the best habits either. Sometimes, he needs to stay up later. Even if he desperately needs sleep, sometimes work is more important- especially for someone like him. Though, he doesn't want to be a hypocrite when he sees you doing the same thing as him. So for you, and only you, he's bettered his own schedule and habits.

That means, you will absolutely, never overwork yourself. Jing Yuan will make sure if you even think about it, he will forcefully pull you away from everything and put you to bed. He knows how it feels and has paid the price in the past before. You will be doing no such thing.

☆ Bladie ☆

You will hear him tell you to finish up in three minutes and head to bed only once. Blade will not tolerate you risking your health for anything. Even if it's work. Even if it's studying. You are going to bed when you're tired. If you decide not to listen, Blade will pick you up, throw you over his shoulder (it might hurt him a little), and he will put you to bed, tuck you in, and lay right beside you so you don't wiggle away and go back to work.

Since you're already ready to pass out, when he tucks you into bed, you're already falling asleep. By the time he turns off the lights and lays beside you, you're most likely asleep. He'll stroke your hair for a little before going to bed as well.

☆ Neuvillette ☆

Neuvillette may be a busy man, but he tries to keep a schedule. So, when you two get together and he sees how you're unwilling to sleep- even if you're unable to keep your eyes open at your desk- he realizes he'll have to be a bit stricter with you. Neuvillette hates seeing you sick and if you keep overworking yourself, you'll be harming your own health in the end.

He'll usually remind you it'll be bedtime about an hour or two before it so you're not losing track of time. If that doesn't work, he'll come and tell you to step away as it's been enough. If even that doesn't work, then he's forcing you away. Strong arms grip you tightly as he carries you to bed and he will lock the door. It's really hard not to fall asleep when Neuvillette is holding you close against him.

☆ Wriothesley ☆

Wriothesley is very attentive when it comes to you. You're the most important person to him, so it's only fair he's always taking care of you. He's a busy man himself, but he understands the importance of taking care of oneself. He's not very easy going when you neglect your health- especially for reasons that you can't properly defend.

"But I don't wanna sleep" will never be a good excuse. Forgot you had a test coming up? Should've studied before. Have work you need to finish? You won't do well if you're not properly rested. Whatever you throw at him, he will have a response. Wriothesley is a lot like Blade, where he'll only warn you once to go to bed. If not, he takes matters into his own hands which is dragging you away to bed. Whine all you want, you're going to sleep and he'll make sure.

Try getting away when this large man is all wrapped around you. Good luck.

His confession came after he impulsively kissed you. It's a long story, but the entire Astral Express crew knew he was down bad for you. It wasn't hard to tell.

Caelus wanted to find a good time to confess but kept missing his opportunity. Everyone wanted to help, but he insisted it was something for him, and him alone. You can only imagine how that went. So, his last ditch effort was to just kiss you.

In hindsight, it was an awful idea. He didn't ask, didn't think about you, and just did it out of pure panic and desperation. Thankfully, you're ok with it but he did feel bad. What if you didn't feel the same way? What if it was your first kiss? All those thoughts were just plaguing him.

So, your very first kiss with him was... not the best memory for him. But, you kissed him again after you two made it official and claimed that was your first kiss.

That kiss went WAYY better. After some time, he forgot about his weird confession (even though you still find it adorable).

Your first kiss with Dan Heng was very memorable for him. It wasn't long after he joined the Astral Express crew.

You two clicked and got along so well that it was natural for his feelings to grow and evolve into something else.

At the time, Dan Heng wasn't entirely sure how to handle those feelings- given his situation and all. So, he opted to just keep you close by but not confess.

After his... reveal of sorts, he was finally able to confide in you. He sat you down, told you the truth about him, and listened as you explained that none of his past changed your feelings for him now. It took some time that night before he realized you meant romantic feelings.

You two confessed and he had no plans to kiss you. You offered and he accepted. He never forgot that day and he never forgot that feeling in his chest when your lips touched his for the very first time.

You two started dating but took it very slow. Mainly for Gepard's sake. He didn't want to rush things and asked if it was ok if you two took your time.

Meaning, no hand holding, no I love yous, no kissing, none of that. You were happy to respect his decision and he warmed up to you quickly.

Gepard isn't a fan of PDA, but he likes holding your hand in public. He'll even give you hugs on occasion.

Your first kiss... was an accident. You were dropping by Gepard's place before you went to work to drop off something. You stayed a little too long, lost track of time, and were in a rush before you knew it. You threw on your shoes and Gepard went to give you a hug but you completely forgot and leaned in to kiss him.

He froze, his eyes wide and his cheeks bright red. You panicked, realizing moments after that he was trying to hug you not kiss you. But Gepard didn't hate it. That night when he walked you home, he was the one to kiss you goodnight.

No, he likes it. It’s fun. It’s cute. Just make sure it’s in private and not in front of others or it’ll fluster him and he’ll be a little irritated.

It’s ass slapping war now! He will get you back every single time +1 extra. He is a lot more careful, so he doesn’t hurt you. But he’s getting you back.

Very unexpected but he has to admit, he kinda likes it. You’re already special enough so why not?

Isn’t used to it, unsurprisingly, but does eventually become accustomed. You don’t do it every single day, but he has noticed it becoming more and more common.

He’s taken after you. If he sees a good opportunity, he will give you a gentle smack. Very gentle. More like he grabbed it as he stepped closer to you.

He won’t ever reel his arm back. Never. That would hurt you so he tends to be overly gentle than risking hurting you.
