Villains Are Destined To Die modern fanfic headcanons

-In this modern au, Ivonne gets found shortly after the Duke adopts Penelope from the streets instead of being missing for 6 years and grows up with Penelope together so Derrick and Reynold don't hate Penelope or torment her for long but Penelope still resents them, and swore to them she would never call them her brother with heart.

-The imperial empire is still a royal thing so the Eckarts are a famous noble family still, and everyone attends this grand academy school only for the richest and talented students who have a special future ahead of them.

-Penelope grows up to be the prettiest girl school and is everyone's crush. Is the Queen Bee, popular with so many friends and followers, known to be Ice Queen, Snow princess or Snow White bc of her icy eyes, elegance, gracefulness and pretty face--overall looking like a ice queen.

-She's a girl with both beauty and brains, a nerdy bookworm who is studying archeology while so talented; She's the captain of the cheerleading team, is in the school aerobic gymnastic team so she's very flexible and aerobic, does fencing, plays the piano, loves figure skating, ballet and singing.

-Is super fickle, especially coming to food and her skincare. Hates the sun so she constantly carries around a parasol and sun cream to keep in the shade. Is mostly vegetarian, only eating fish, vegetables, fruits and yogurt (blueberry yoghurt icecream is her favourite), making her skin constantly glowing and healthy.

-Has a type of style that she only ever wears to define herself (she's a girl boss); only wearing Spring and winter themed clothes bc winter is the symbol of grief and spring is the symbol of moving on, in spite since she was only adopted and viewed as a replacement for Ivonne to not make it her weakness but her pride as fashion and aesthetic.

-Is very classy+feminine so she mostly wears lots of lace, tulles, dresses, skirts, frills, floral, cute, stockings, heels, coats and handbags. Also always wears turquoise or pale lavender eyeshadow with cat eyeliner but sometimes leaves her face alone since she has natural fair glass skin, rosy cheeks and baby pink lips that make her look like a porcelaine doll which get her a lot of compliments.

-Most of her clothes are designer too since she's a girl adopted by an elite wealthy royal Duke who is an absolute fool for his talented daughter so she's a fashion iconic at school as well~ she loves to shop at Chanel, Laduree and Christian Dior for cosmetics and perfume. She's a literal fashion icon to everyone.

-Not only is she famous in school but also around the world as well. The Duke has her perform songs at balls as the image of the Eckarts and she is alway busy with being a figure at donating charities or opening new buildings, and her modeling career (because again, she's a fashion icon).

-She has also made her own perfumes and fashion before which everyone is crazy about, and her instagram pics has millions of likes and followers. Penny also often goes out to luxurious parties or dinners with her friends so her insta is full of her having fun and living the bougie life. Has so many admires that she has her personal maid to come to school and clear out her locker that's full of chocolates, flowers and letters at valentine days.

-Is literally a mix of Elsa from Frozen, Marinette Dupain Cheng and Chloe Bourgeois from Miraculous Ladybug. Loves France and parisian lifestyle, and dreams to go back and live there again as it fits her standards perfectly bc of the amazing cafes, cuisines and beautiful architecture. Goes there during holidays on her own.

-She adores violets and orange blossom flowers so she wears them as the main notes in her perfumes and potpourri which she always has it made in her bedroom for her smell them. Has a very detailed bath and skincare routine with products specially made for only, her scared beauty secret that she can tell no one bc she always wants to look her best as a lady. Is known to leave the room smelling like spring.

-She's a bit of a daddy's girl since she was a child in fear of being kicked out when Ivonne was found safe and sound so she constantly acted wonderful and affectionate to manipulate and win the Duke's heart which turned out to have worked too well. She's the most talented member of the family so the Duke pays more to her than his sons and Ivonne.

-When Penny is around everyone she's graceful, sophisticated and glamorous but when she's around the Duke she's lovely like a doe, angelic and so adoring with shiny eyes that the Duke can't help but do anything for her and hang several pictures of her around his office while not so subtly bark at his own sons like soldiers.

-Callisto is the royal prince of Ioka and is the biggest, hottest guy in school but everyone is scared of him bc he grew up as a bully until he met Penelope. He's the captain of the football team and the best jock with a tense relationship between his step brother who is equally popular but only because he is that spoilt rich kid, so the whole school is divided into two factions; Callisto's team and his brother's team.

-His mother is the Queen of Ioka, trying to kill him by sending hitmen or poisoning him so Callisto is a pretty good fighter--mostly a fist fighter or a knife fighter so you can imagine how hot he is, all roughed up with bleeding nose and a fiery smirk.

-Everyone drools over Penelope but ofc are afraid to look at her bc Callisto is super possessive and easily jealous of anyone being around her, constantly around her like a ghost despite her repetitively turning him down. Everyone still thinks the two are the iconic power sweetheart couple that everyone strives to be like and admires.

-You bet there are bully girls who hate Penelope like Kellin and her side kick Dorothea who are super jealous of her and tried to bully her in middle school, only for Penny to grow more popular. Penny used to do fencing too so the losers are too scared to fight her except bark from a distance.

-Penny just rolls her eyes at them and casually says something to embarrass them in front of the whole school, and send them running away with red faces. Kellin and Dorothea are definitely those mean girls whose boyfriends end up having a crush on Penny anyway.

-The Eckarts are a royal elite wealthy family and the children attend a famous high school. Derrick is the heiress so he is a top student along with Penelope, working hard to graduate and take over his father's place. Reynold is a jock and part of the football team like Callisto, and they're both super popular for their handsome and princely looks.

-Ivonne is actually a 'stubborn but cute, good girl' and a 'younger twin-sisterly' type of girl who is kind of weak and super empathetic yet has very strong enthusiasm. She loves animals and children so she volunteers to work at shelters and orphanages with Vinter who she is great friends with.

-She likes to take care of the garden that her mother who passed away in the past grew, which was precious to her since it was the only thing left of her mother. Also loves to watch Disney, Pixar and Netflix Disney live action films bc she likes lovey dovey things like fairy tales no matter how painfully cliche they are as they're so dreamy to her.

-Even though she's super rich, she likes to wear just casual and simple clothes because she wants to look normal and fit in with the crowd, just so they won't feel intimidated by her. Like overalls over t-shirts or sweaters and shorts with sneakers.

-Ivonne and Penelope have a really good relationship; Ivonne admires Penelope as her cool and admirable sister while Penelope is protective of her, constantly concerned for her since Ivonne is clumsy and can hardly protect herself despite having a chihuahua-level scary bark that could scare anyone off.

-Derrick is brotherly to Ivonne, making sure she's happy and providing her with everything while he has a strained relationship and a big crush on Penelope ever since they were children. He never shows it since he's in denial that he likes her and just acts indifferent when she treats him like a stranger in private until one day she said she was moving to France to go to a different school best for her.

-He mans up and makes a rough decision to at least look at her as his sister at the moment so he could tell her not to go at the last minute, using the pathetic excuse saying their reputation would fall out of interest if she wasn't here and she shouldn't go to live by her own as an 'underage' girl. He definitely looks at step sister porn, this derdick.

-Penny thinks he hates her but he actually really admires her like everyone else and wants to be close to her by her side that he gets jealous and sullen when she's with someone else and showing more liking to them, and he can't be affectionate with her as he wants to bc she pushes him away coldly so he spitefully turns to Ivonne 'since she's his only sister' but always goes back to her at the end.

-Reynold is teasing and tsundere yet caring and brotherly to Ivonne and Penelope. Only except he feels jealous and left out when it comes to Penny who he also has a strained relationship with ever since he treated her cruely, which he dwells on and thinks he should have treated her nicely as his sister anyway even if Ivonne were to never return back home.

-He's the one trying to act like they don't have tensions between them to desperately make them seem like they were good siblings, because he wants to and doesn't like that she has so many friends and hardly has any time to talk to him, feeling like she's slowly dragging away and he has no rights to ask why she never spends much time with him.

-When she is about to move to France, he panics while trying to figure out what to do and ends up stammering while forcing himself to swallow his pride and asking her not to go. He has the audacity to wish that Penny would drop what happened at the start and just forgive him so they would get along. At least he thinks better when it comes to Penny than Derdick creep.

-Penny gets confused a lot as to why he and Derrick do anything to show they care about her but she doesn't want to be looked down on again so she continues to treat them like they're strangers to her and ignores them bc she still hates for how they treated her back then.

-Both Reynold and Derdick regret being mean to Penelope, and try to make up for it while the Duke and Ivonne are disappointed, deadpanning at the two. Ivonne is the one always on Penelope's side and backs her up whenever Penelope argues with the two idiots because she thinks they're both idiots too.

-Vinter is an already graduated student and works at a orphanage that he made himself, and secretly looks after illegal children bc he cares so much about them. He's also from a royal wealthy family, and has a talent of doing magic tricks which he does for the orphanage children at their birthdays and has a cute white bunny as a pet that he takes with him from home.

-He looks at Ivonne as a little sister and has a crush on Penelope when he first met her, after Ivonne brought her here for a school project Penny needed to do. He falls more in love with her, even though she constantly treats him coldly bc the way he speaks to her annoys the hell out of her and thinks he's a strange silly man, but he thinks she's so beautifully pitiful at the amount of stress she does through everyday due to the pressure of being a superstar which he could see everytime he sees her.

-He feels bad that he can't help her because he's always blocked by everyone around her and she doesn't have any time to talk to him with her busy life so he does a favour by leaving her alone.

-Iklies is an immigrant boy (originally a prince) rescued from an illegal black market but made a reputation of being a really good fighter so the Duke hired him to be part of the private military police that he owned, becomes a security guard before beings friends with everyone. On the way he gets a crush on Penny who he feels so sorry for.

-Penny doesn't mind him but she often cooes over him (bc u know, he looks like a puppy) and plays with his hair a lot during his breaks since she can't stop feeling the fluffiness of it. Iklies is also the only one who she can talk to truthfully unlike her friends so they like to chat together in private out of eyes about everything, since they both feel sorry for each other.

-When Penelope graduates, she becomes a socialite leader of the women's society group of their town that she formed to do good things like donating charity and volunteers while studying at university. She kinda got depressed after graduating so she keeps herself busy like this.

-Ivonne loves the new group she made and is one of her follower, participating in the activities as well so Penelope gives her a particular role as her vice president and through this, Vinter with his orphanage gets connected with Penelope's group so he and Penny get close together as well with Vinter gladly doing so even though Penny doesn't want to but Ivonne insists on choosing his orphanage in particular for one charity project.

-Callisto still sticks around Penelope, trying to get her to date him or form a relationship. She still doesn't find any interest in him and is busy continuing on modeling, going to meetings for her group and going to special places with her father as the memorable member of the Eckarts, which thankfully helps her to have less time to see him around.

-Callisto is annoyed on top of his problem with his brother who is on the verge of turning into an adult and be crowned as the King. He's pretty busy as well, getting ready to be a king himself while constantly having assassins up his ass and after him and trying to pick off hungry men off his pretty lady.

-A few years later when Penelope finishes university and finally gets to go to France to work at a museum as a special job offer there that was sent to her, she leaves the women society group to Ivonne to make her the leader. Duke, Derrick and Reynold are hesitant to let her go but they do at the end since she's an adult with her own decision.

-Meanwhile Callisto decides to drop being the prince and follows her to France much to Penelope's annoyance. Iklies does as well to be her guard bc he doesn't want to be far from her and he lowkey is yandere and childish to keep her to himself only.

-Ivonne starts questioning if she could ever find a lover like a princess in a fairy tale like Penelope since she for all her life she was the one being overshadowed by Penelope and not really getting any attention as much as her, and she secretly had a crush on Callisto but never confessed because he loved Penelope like everyone else which was fine with her.

-But she ends up single as most of the time it's always creeps that try to flirt with her and she gives up on the idea of finding love like her sister, wishing she could scare them off with one glare like Penny.

-Someday in the future the Callisto wins and takes over the throne as well, kicking his brother and mother out of the emperor who did something good for once by making him be the king instead as he was more suitable so there is a large crowning ceremony that everyone in Ioka attends.

-Duke finally retires and Derrick becomes the next Duke. Penelope would come back home after so long to attend the celebration for the Duke only, who says he wishes that she came home more often with a lonely look. Penny would feel awkwardly guilty and ask him to come to France with her since he was retired and live there with her at Paris to make up for it.

-Penny also finally agrees to get into a relationship with Callisto as well after almost 7 years so the news of the duchess of Eckart and the prince of Ioka getting into a relationship goes viral and they become the most popular couple in the world. Poor Iklies but he grows up to understand over the years with respect, a much happier ending for him.

-Reynold is in disbelief, thinking she's crazy and Derrick gets jealous that she's with someone else and tries to tell her not to be with Callisto which she finds him hilarious and gross for liking her but she demands him to make up his mind about her before she cuts him out of her life so he ends up making the full decision to view her as his sister and apologizes.

-Penny is still busy being a girlfriend to a clingy boyfriend, working as an archeologist, traveling, going to special events and dinners, looking after her father, going to interviews and modeling. It's tiring until she and Callisto get married with the most biggest wonderful wedding like princess Diana and Prince Charles's wedding, then they have Judith.

-Cue Reynold dying inside and the Duke crying angrily at how Judith resembles Callisto more. But I could imagine Penny and Callisto having another girl and one boy but they have Penelope's looks, which the Duke and Reynold would probably appreciate better although it would be strange for Derrick. They would still both treat all three children nicely though.

-The Duke would pick on a hobby gardening and babysitting the children for her in the quiet countryside of france. Ivonne, Vinter and Iklies would love to baby sit the children too, as everyone treats them so wonderfully. Judith would become the Queen while Penny's second daughter or son would become the heiress of the Eckarts next.

Chapter 2

XY was staring at the ceiling. A week has already passed. And he still couldn't stop thinking about the day he spent with Marinette. It was the most fun he'd had in a while.

Before the whole Silencer fiasco, his father would not stop pressuring him to produce a new song. So when they met up for dinner and his dad came up with the idea of stealing someone else's music, he couldn’t bring himself to decline.

XY knew it was wrong.

But all he wanted was the chance to finally impress his dad. Bob Roth might not have the best attitude towards him, but he was all XY had left.

Xy already lost his mom. He would not lose his dad too.

At least, that's what he believed. He should've known that his father was just using him for money. According to his dad, money was the most valuable thing in life.

XY scoffed. He should've known better. He should've known that all his father thought of hi-

He felt a buzz in his pocket and his face immediately brightened. Marinette just texted him!

Marinette: what's up?

Marinette: have u been inspired yet?

Marinette gave XY the idea to just sit back and let inspiration hit him. It was a common idea but it was one that most people tend to forget in the long run.

XY: nothing much

XY: and nope.

XY: my dad has been pressuring me to come up with something tho

Marinette: ignore him

Marinette: he's just mad cause he can't get any ladies

The three dots popped up on his screen.

Marinette: OH CRAP I'M LATE

Marinette: TTYL.

XY rolled his eyes and smiled.

They've been texting back and forth these past few days. He's learned so many things about her and vice versa.

It was nice. It's been a while since XY has had a friend.

Maybe she'll be even more, XY couldn’t help but think as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Huh," XY said out loud. "Even more"

And just like that, inspiration for his next song hit him.

Marinette was thinking of a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed musician when she heard her phone ring.

"Tikki!" she screamed, staring at her phone as if it was Hawkmoth himself.. "He's calling me. XY is calling me."

Tikki sighed and floated next to Marinette, "Maybe you should answer it. It would be pretty rude to keep him waiting."

"Right, right," Marinette answered his call and hoped her voice didn’t sound as squeaky as she thought it did.. "Hey."

"Hey."

There was a moment of awkward silence.

Marinette didn’t know what to do. She glanced at the small goddess.

Tikki rolled her eyes at their awkwardness as she gestured to the phone. Ask him why he called you, she mouthed to Marinette.

Marinette nodded. That was a smart idea. "So," Marinette cleared her throat. "Why did you call me?"

"Right, Uhm." Marinette heard him shuffling around his room. "You know how you've been asking me if I was inspired and stuff?"

Marinette's eyes grew wide and a huge smile took over her face as she started to nod before remembering that he couldn't see her. "Yep." she eagerly said, "Did you find any?"

"Yes!" Marinette could hear the excitement in his voice. "I was actually wondering if you wanted to design the outfits for my music video."

Marinette's eyes looked shocked. "Yes!" she jumped around in excitement before remembering she was still in a call with XY. "Why me though?"

XY’s voice sounded confused.. "What do you mean, why you? You're literally perfect for it. You're talented. Plus, everyone loves your designs."

Marinette’s cheeks resembled a tomato. She has never been more thankful for the fact that he couldn't see her right now.

"Thank you." Marinette managed to mumble. "That really means a lot."

"You're welcome." XY said. Marinette had a feeling he was smiling though. "I have to go and have my dad listen to the demo. But I'll text you later, okay?"

"Yep," Marinette whispered and gave Tikki a cookie. "Good luck. I know that whatever song you came up with is gonna sound good. No matter what he'll say."

Marinette heard a faint "Thanks" from the phone before the call ended.

Marinette screamed into her pillow and looked up and saw Tikki look at her with amusement. “I think I like him.”

"So, what do you think?" XY asked as his father finished listening to his song. "Is it bad? Do you think people will like it?"

Bob Roth grinned at his son. "This is a Masterpiece. Where did you find this?" He gestured to the video of XY singing the song, "Who did you steal this from?"

XY's proud smile immediately turned into a scowl. "What do you mean, who did I steal this from?" He yelled at his dad, his blue eyes glaring at him as he grabbed the demo from the table. "I made it. I came up with it myself." XY felt his eyes tearing up. "Something you would actually know if you thought of me as something more than a money-making machine."

How could he? XY thought as he climbed up the stairs. Is it that hard to believe that I could come up with something good?

XY slammed his door shut. "All I wanted was to prove to him that I wasn't a talentless son." XY put his hands on his face. "I just wanted to make him proud."

XY felt a buzz in his pocket and immediately knew that it was Marinette. After all, she’s the only one that ever texts him.

Marinette: how did it go?

Marinette: did he like it?

XY wiped away the tears that were starting to come out of his eyes. He couldn't help but smile. Marinette certainly had an effect on him.

XY: he called it a masterpiece

Marinette: yes! I knew he would like it.

XY: yeah

XY: but then he asked me who i stole it from

Marinette: THAT JERK

Marinette: WTF

Marinette: THAT's SO MESSED UP

Marinette: HOW COULD HE-

Marinette: DO YOU WANT ME TO BEAT HIM UP FOR YOU????

XY laughed at her text messages. He only started to text her and he already felt better.

XY: no, it's fine

XY: i actually yelled at him

Marinette: ...

Marinette: do you feel better?

XY: actually, yep.

XY: he's a really sucky father

Marinette: for some reason, a lot of the blondes i know have a toxic parent

Marinette: it's kinda sad

XY: maybe it's a paris thing

They texted back and forth, XY laughing at the memes Marinette sent.

XY: You're definitely a daughter of Athena

XY scrunched his eyebrows up in confusion.

XY switched his apps and searched up Marinette's personal instagram. He clicked on the first result that came up.

The profile picture was Marinette in a blue, silky dress that went just above her ankle. There was a slit on her left leg that showed her knee. It was nighttime and Marinette was practically glowing under the city lights. She was staring at something on her right side, with one hand running through her silky black hair which was down for once.

She looked hot.

After XY stopped admiring her profile picture, he finally noticed her follower count.

She had 200,000 followers. 200,000.

It wasn't as high as XY's follower count, that was still quite a lot.

Marinette: wdym?

Marinette: which acc

Marinette thought that she read his text wrong. There's no way that Marinette had that many followers. 200,000? There was no way.

It's been a while since Marinette has logged onto her personal account. The hate she got the last time she's been signed in was too much for her and when Alya told her to log out and just focus on her other account, @MDCdesigns, she couldn't bring herself to argue against her.

Marinette hasn't even thought of that account since that day. So when she logged in and saw that XY wasn't lying, she accidentally dropped her phone in shock.

Tikki looked at Marinette with a questioning look.

Marinette ignored her kwami and texted the blue-eyes boy back.

Marinette: HOLY SHIT

Marinette: I HAVE 200k FOLLOWERS

Marinette: HOW TF DID THAT HAPPEN

XY: when was the last time you checked ur acc

Marinette: about 3 months ago

Marinette: the media thought i was adrien's gf and his fangirls came at me

Marinette: i got a ton of hate and a friend of mine told me to log out and just focus on my @MDCdesigns acc

XY: the fangirls were probably just jealous

I really hope we see Adrien hanging out with him to parallel Mari hanging with Kagami but I’m afraid the parallel might just be Mari hanging with Luka as friends

Marinette will try to give Adrien a miraculous again. Near the end of the season, she’ll realize that there are only a couple if not one miraculous left without a holder, and she’ll get overtaken by the desire to work Adrien into her team. If I had to guess which one, I’d say the dog because it juxtaposes the cat and I think Sabrina, as an outsider to the group and former mean girl lackey, might be the last to go.

We’ll meet someone’s mom for the first time and she’ll get akumatized along with a mode of transportation. Maybe a motorcycle or airplane this time? Edit: I guess Gina/Befana was motorcycle mom already so we’re just missing airplane mom

Alec Cataldi will be Psychomedian. Since they rewrote Gagotor for this I’m guessing the new character was probably replaced with one we know, and Alec is a recurring, humorous TV personality who hasn’t been akumatized yet. I came across his English VA’s insta by chance on explore and he made a post about recording more Alec lines after Optigami’s release

Rocketear will be/have to do with Max who misses his mom after she leaves for a space mission. It’d be nice to see the continuation of this subplot, which was shown for a moment in Miracle Queen after Startrain. Plus, Ladybug needs to give Max a charm sooner rather than later and Gamer, a very specific akuma, already had a 2.0. Edit: I’m Stan and I was wrong.

When Megaleech was first announced I thought it might be Bob Roth(’s sentimonster?) based solely off the name, but assuming that’s the thing in the Polymouse episode, it’s hard to tell. It’s so non-human. I wasn’t expecting Mylene to get her miraculous here based off the name either. My new theory, which I’m admittedly not super confident in, is that Megaleech is the fusion of the entire Kitty Section who got screwed over by Bob and/or XY again. That would explain the French pun and also Mylene’s personal connection to the case at hand. It might also explain why this group of heroes was hanging out outside of school. I wonder how Ladybug’s new charm animation would work with more than one charm at a time. Would they skip it altogether and just show her passing them out? Would they all match with Megaleech’s colors or would they be different for the individuals?

Edit: I am editing this post because I just saw a theory that the villain of this episode will be Andre Bourgeois again. Megaleech’s color scheme and medallions match Malediktator perfectly, and the tiny thing Chat kicks in the trailer looks like a shrunken version of him if you look closely. This is a lot more believable, but it makes me wonder what leads to Mylene being the hero of the day.

I hope Polymouse doesn’t get overshadowed by the large team, but I also hope she doesn’t get overshadowed by Multimouse. Unfortunately, there are a lot of immature kids who hate Mylene for no reason, so I hope Polymouse will be the one to come up with the winning plan, use her powers cleverly, and be heroic in general so that she can prove how well the mouse fits her instead of unknowingly competing with Marinette.

Teenage Alix will make her entrance as Bunnix when her dad gets akumatized. Both Timebreaker and The Pharaoh had time-y powers, and Alim is a historian, so if he were to get akumatized, he’d probably turn into a villain who controls time as well, leaving his daughter as the only one who can take him.

Sandboy 2.0 will happen as everyone predicted based on the voice director’s story post with Sandboy’s VA. Ladybug will probably see Chat Blanc in place of zombie Adrien, raising a lot of questions and tension. Maybe Chat will see Ladybug abandon him, or something else related to solitude rather than being trapped? We will also finally find out who the akumatized kid is.

Speaking of, I think Sandboy 2.0 might be Caprikid’s entry episode. (What?) Let me explain. I think the Sandboy kid and Marc look pretty similar, and correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure they’re the only male characters with defined eyelashes in the whole show. Both of them also have celestial thematics which would fit with Marc’s last name, Anciel (en ciel, in the sky). Sandboy looks like the night sky while Marc has a rainbow theme. It’s possible that they’re related, so Ladybug will enlist Marc to help defeat Sandboy. Here are pictures:

I’ve also seen other people theorize that Caprikid’s power is related to dreams, I guess because of something like “counting sheep”. This isn’t my theory for his powers, but I see where it’s coming from. His kwami has the most interesting name. While most of the kwamis are related directly to their animal, Ziggy, the goat kwami, is named after David Bowie’s stage persona, Ziggy Stardust, who is an alien from space. David Bowie had other famous personas like the astronaut, Major Tom, and Aladdin Sane who had the iconic lightning bolt, all themes associated with the sky. I wouldn’t be surprised if these themes show up in Caprikid’s design, like if he has face paint instead of a mask or a similar hairstyle to Bowie.

We can already kind of tell that Caprikid and Coq Courage are matching just like their civilian selves do from their opening silhouettes with the chest fur and feathers. I predict it goes further than that with daytime/nighttime thematics. Roosters are associated with the sun, and my theory for Orikko’s power is illumination. Evillustrator’s biggest weakness, which ended up defeating him, was darkness, and I read a post today that pointed out that he can draw without even looking at his tablet so it’s more likely that he’s just scared of the dark. If he has day themes I think Caprikid will compliment that with night sky themes based on the stuff above.

I expect Evillustrator will have a 2.0 episode or any sort of comeback at some point. He’s probably one of the most iconic akumas, yet he’s only been truly akumatized once, at least on-screen. Plus, ladybug needs to get protective charms to all her hero pals asap.

We will probably meet the family of a couple more major characters who don’t have canon family members yet.

I hope we see more more-than-one-person and/or fusion akumas among the major cast. The protective charms are helpful but it sucks that they limit our possibilities for this type of stuff.

Sabrina will leave Chloe once and for all, which will trigger a big change in both of their characters. Sabrina will become more independent and leader-like, but Chloe will hit her lowest point. If not for... a certain person’s writing... I’d say this will be the true catalyst for her development as she faces cold hard reality for the first time... but I’m not so sure. Maybe she’ll just mellow down and become less bad and less relevant. Maybe she’ll snap and join evil Lila. Only time can tell.

I want to see my boy King Monkey again this season before the big finale, which will probably have everyone, and I’m pretty sure I will. I feel like they’ll all show up before that. I want him to move across the city by swinging across stuff like a monkey on vines.

We will finally see Ryuko’s full transformation and lightning dragon. I saw that the Roblox server thing featured the (oversimplified and blocky) coreo for her full transformation before the actual show did? A bit embarrassing.

I want to predict something for my boy Ivan, but he gets so little screen time that I just can’t think of anything :( I’m very excited for Minotaurox, though, and it’s possible that he’ll be involved with his family rather than Mylene or his friends.

The whole gang takes down Shadowmoth. Booyah, 17 teenage furries, bet he didn’t see that coming. And everyone has a big “pointing and laughing” moment until the obligatory Adrien angst commences

• Percy, Harry, and Marinette have been internet friends since Mari first received her miraculous.

• The boys are one year older than Mari. So they were 14 and she was 13. So start of Titans Curse, and the Goblet of Fire. This is set during the summer. Before Percy heads for camp, he convinced one of the Hephaestus kids to make him a phone to keep in contact. When Harry returns to school he finds the room of requirements amd finds out his laptop works in there.

• They meet on Mari's vlog where she is complaining about how the adults in her life always let her down.

• Harry agrees whole heartedly Percy says the only person that doesnt let him down is his mom.

• Soon they are best friends and always in contact with they others, Sally and Paul meet them after summer is over and gain two more kids.

• They all tell each other their secrets and try to help each other the best they can.

• They become Instagram famous together and are seen as a trio always posting screen shots of them video chatting.

• Percy and Mari are helping and supporting Harry through everything that happens while he is at Hogwarts.

• Around this time Lila comes into the picture, at first the boys encourage her to fight back. However after she sends them screenshots from her 'friends' they encourage her to drop them all together.

• Mari distances herself from the class and focuses on learning more from Master Fu, while also growing her clientele. She goes from Jagged and Clara, to multiple celebrities from all over. She even designs for some youtubers. She meets the Wayne's when they commission her for one of their galas. She hits it off with Tim when she chugs a pot of coffee infront of him before doing his final fitting.

• Percy takes a quick trip to Gotham once the Wayne's return and interrogates/threatens Tim about Mari.

• Mari and Tim's friendship continues to grow as they text and call all the time.

• Harry and Percy support Marinette when she becomes the Grand Guardian. Percy asks Chiron about the Miraculous and discovers multiple books on them. He convinces Annabeth to copy them and has Hermes send them to Mari. While Harry finds a former Guardian in Knockturn Alley and informs her of the new Grand Guardian he gets Mari the potions she needs for the Kwami.

• Percy and Mari in courage Harry to discover more about his family and to start at Gringotts. Harry discovers his families position in the wizarding word, and how much has been kept from him.

• Harry and Mari encourage Percy to learn even more about his powers. Soon he has control of small storms and has learned how to travel in an instant through mist.

• Harry becomes emancipated at 15 and takes over Lordship of Potter and Ravenclaw. He was surprised to find out his mother was actually adopted into the Evan's family after her parents were killed. Petunia didnt know she was adopted.

• After Kronos is defeated they make plans to finally meet up, boys are 16, Mari 15, they agree on Paris because Mari doesn't feel comfortable leaving her city in case of attack. They meet up a few weeks before school is set to start for Percy and Mari.

• Harry floos to his family home in Paris and opens the wards before messaging Percy saying it safe. Percy mist travels in to his house and immediately drops his bags hugging Harry tightly. Before they both hurry off to the Bakery.

• Mari's parents are very nice and loving but they expect their daughter to be an adult and handle things without them.

• They are surprised when two boys rush into the bakery and their daughter squeals throwing herself at them in a hug. Completely ignoring Alya, Adrien, and Nino.

• Mari completely ignores her old friends refusing to even let go of her boys. She quickly introduces them to her parents before dragging them up to her room.

• For a short while they just pile on to her bed cuddling together happy to be with each other in person than through a video call. After half an hour they finally get up and let Mari pack a small bag.

• She says goodbye to her parents telling them shes going to be spending the night at a friends before they all hurry to Harry's house. Once Mari puts her bag in the living room they change into fancy clothes and head off for dinner reservations at Le Grand Paris.

• They enjoy a quiet dinner together and while they're eating dessert Chloe comes to their table to say hello to Mari. She warns Mari that their class plans on ambushing her at her parents bakery to guilt her into catering their end of summer party, because Lila's baker fell through.

• All four of them laugh at it and Mari pulls out her phone sending her mother a quick message. Telling her to not give her class a thing unless they pay.

• After Harry pays much to Mari and Percy's annoyance they say goodbye to Chloe and leave the restaurant. While walking back to Harry's they are all hugging each other. Mari is in the middle and Percy and Harry's arms are around her wasit and she has hers around them. Lila sees them passing and is quick to take multiple pictures.

• The next day she has the entire class convinced that the three are in a relationship. Lila also convinces them that Mari pushed her down and the boys threatened her.

• Alya is akumatized through her anger, Paris is surprised when two new heros join Ladybug.

• The two new heros are Anaklusmos, Percy using Kaalki because once Kaalki saw Percy he knew that he was the son of his favorite God, and Chimaera. Harry using Ziggy.

• Percy's hero outfit consisted of tight black pants and a long sleeve black shirt. Underneath a dark brown breastplate and greaves. His hair was slightly longer and even wilder than usual and sunglasses hid his eyes from the world. His weapon is a sword.

• Harry's hero outfit was black and white. He wore a white sweater with black assents, black jeans, and the outer coat to battle robes that was black on the outside and white on the inside. He has a mask in which one side is black and the other white. His miraculous transform into small goat horns when in use. His weapon is a staff, because he is a wizard he is able to use the staff as a wand, and it is untraceable.

• Ziggys transformation phrase Ziggy lets climb. Ziggy lets rest.

• Kaalkis transformation phrase Kaalki lets gallop. Kaalki halt.

• Ziggy will be the miraculous of terrian. Harry will be able to use unbreakable vines to either hold akuma or stop larging things from falling.

• They are quick to defeat Alya taking her down before Chat even finds a place to transform.

• Once defeated the trio returns to where they were relaxing along the Seine. Both Mari and Percy giggle at Harry who readjusts his new hair clips blushing slightly. While Percy simply pushes the glasses up to rest on the top of his head.

• They get lunch before Percy mist travels all three of them to Disneyland, where Mari pays for them all to get in.

• There first picture together at Disney is post on each of their Instagrams and their fans go wild after realizing the trio finally met in person. Soon their Instas are filled with different pictures of all of them.

• Meanwhile Alya is blowing up Mari's Insta demanding answers as the class is on the way to the bakery. They try to convince Tom and Sabine to cater but are brushed off by them. The class is upset and demands answers and are not happy to be told that they wont cater because Marinette isn't going to the party and asked them not to.

• The trio finish the night with a picture of them hugging with fireworks in the back. Percy is wearing little mermaid ears, Mari is wearing Ladybug ears, and Harry is wearing sorcerer mickey ears.

• They spend the entire week together and Mari introduces them to her friends in Paris with a promise of coming to their home countries to meet their friends and family next time.

• When Percy and Harry are set to leave they have a long conversation with Kaalki and Ziggy and decide to allow the two Kwamis to stay with their holders. Kaalki is very attached to his new foal and wishes to remain with his chosen. Ziggy is also attached to her kid and wishes to help Harry in anyway possible. Percy and Harry not just swear to protect their Kwamis, they agree to start a new Order of the Guardians. Mari agrees and soon they are planning lessons so she can teach them the language of the Guardians.

• When Harry returns to England he seeks out the former Guardian and infroms her they are starting a new order. The former Guardian takes Harry under her wing and teaches him things, which he teqches Percy and Mari inturn.

• The trio is happy until one day when instead of Percy answering the call its a crying Sally. Sally explains that Percy went missing and no one was able to find him. On top of that Olympus is on lock down.

• Mari and Harry go months without a word from Percy and everyone around them notices their drop. Tim flies out to Paris more often just to keep Mari company when he can. While Harry closes himself off from everyone but Mari.

• A full year passes and in that time Mari has stripped Chat of his miraculous and found a temporary holder in her friend Marc. Harry watched Dumbledore die and is getting ready to fall into hiding, when they finally hear from Percy who had just won his second war.

• The entire time Percy is asleep Kaalki is protecting him and when he wakes up Kaalki informs him of his name and tells him some of his past. Kaalki doesnt have to stay hidden around the demigods because Kaalki is a god himself and the demigods know this. Many Romans are surprised to see Kaalki never leaves Percy's side.

• At first Percy wants to immediately alert his friends but he can barelt find the time and o ly managers to tell his mother that he is alright.

• When the war is over he wastes no time traveling to England and tackling Harry in a hug before taking both of them to Paris. He leaves so fast her doesnt even return to Olympus for the rewards. So in the middle of their hugs and tears Zues/Jupiter transports them to Olympus. Right after he has to deal with a very pissed of Kwami of creation. Everyone watches Tikki tear into Zues while Mari Harry and Percy simply sit in front of Posiden's throne hugging each other tightly.

• For Percy's wish he once again turns down godhood and requests that the roman and greek camps to work together, and makes a personal request to Hecate for both he and Mari to be given Magic. Hecate agrees under the condition that Percy helps Harry take down Tom Riddle and that Mari helps once she is done with Hawkmoth. Posiden pulls them aside and informs Mari that Gabriel is Hawkmoth Nathalie is Mayrua. Once they are done Percy introduces Mari and Harry to the 7 and his cousins before they head off to meet Sally and Paul in person.

• After meeting Sally all three head to Gotham and meet with the Waynes and Mari and the boys find it funny that the only people that knew of Mari and Tim were Bruce and Alfred.

• Mari tells Tim the complete truth and how within the next few months she may die. Tim takes it and in turn tells her about him being Red Robin, then asks her to marry him. She agrees and they have a wedding at Wayne manor the next day.

• Harry meets Kara and his attention is stolen by the blonde. They gets along amazingly and exchange phone numbers. Harry even introduces her to Ziggy who also likes Kara. What really causes Harry to fall for her is when she wraps her arms around his waist and flies up into the air. Both of them bonding over their love of flying while Harry tries to stop out his blush over he lifting him like it was nothing.

• Percy returns to England with Harry and they go in the hunt together while Mari takes a final stance against Hawkmoth.

• Mari defeats Hawkmoth and Mayura unmasking them on national tv right before the battle of hogwarts happens. Once she is done she infroms her parents that she finished her last year of Lycée online and was traveling to England.

• Mari arrives in England after Percy and Harry sneak into Hogwarts. With the help of Tikki she finds her way to Hogwarts and finds her boys.

• Mari is heartbroken when Harry says goodbye to Ziggy and places one hair clip in Maris hair and the other in Percys. He tells them how much he loved them and asked them to say goodbye to Kara for him.

• Percy forces himself to stay strong but breaks when he sees Hagrid carrying Harry's body. While Harry jumps up both Mari and Percy are crying as they fight harder.

• The next day on the front page of the Prophet theres a picture of the three of them in the great hall after the battle curled together and hugging each other.

• After the war the trio goes to Gringotts and Harry has Percy and Mari officially adopted into the potter family before they return to Gotham. Mari and Tim had a bigger wedding for the public announcing to Gotham that they were married. It became known as the wedding of the century because both of them wanted to keep the Wayne families persona. Marinette drops Dupain-Cheng and becomes Marinette Potter-Drake-Wayne.

• Percy walks her down the aisle before sitting down and Harry is standing as her 'maid of honor' Percy takes Annabeth as his date and Harry takes Kara.

• After their honeymoon traveling the world Percy and Harry reveal that they both moved to Gotham. Both are going to catch up on their school work and then go to college. Meanwhile Percy begins campaigning for a cleaner Gotham. He uses a Sanddollar to clean the waters and instructed the Water nymphs to immediately alert him if someone attempts to dump. That when Gotham gains a new hero Anaklusmos. A few months later Chimaera and Ladybird join the scene as well. They focus more on the petty crimes and keeping the city cleaner while the Bat fam focus on the really bad guys.

• Mari joins with Wayne Enterprises and grows her own Fashion empire, while Percy gets his degree in marine biology and Harry in teaching.

• A few years later Mari has all but forgotten about her old class until she takes a trip to Pairs with time to visit her parents and Chloe and they find a class reunion at Le Grand Paris. Lila and Alya try and put Mari down, and are surprised when she laughs. She kisses Tim cheek softly before turning to them, and introduces herself and Tim. Leaving the entire class in shock. They watch Mari walking away with Tim as Chloe walks through the doors to them a bounce in her step.

It’s been exactly 10 hours since he heard the message. But no reply. Marinette had quickly closed the messenger app as soon as she saw him come online, turning her phone to silent and retreating to bed for the night, afraid of his reaction. Yet, the message remained seen, the boy seemingly disappeared. The girl had expected this. After all, she did say that she wasn’t expecting a reply, though she couldn’t help but hope for one, for some form of closure at least. And thus, she busied herself around her workspace, finishing her New Year’s outfit for Chloe’s party. (They’ve come to become close knit, plus Adrien wouldn’t be there which removes awkwardness so she can take her mind off it further.)

At 3:45pm, no reply. 7:00pm, nothing. Even at 2:00pm on 29 December the message remained just seen. Marinette was losing hope. But she and Tikki both rationalised that he just needed the time to process it. That’s understandable.

Yet, she couldn’t help but start the process of moving on…

The text arrived at dinner. He’d been out with some friends from work, as seen from his insta stories, so he probably asked for advice before sending it. Marinette’s mind went into a panic, refusing to read the message after seeing ‘hello’. She didn’t want her parents worrying, heck they didn’t even know about the voice message! And so she kept thinking of possibilities throughout her meal, trying not to get her hopes up. This continued through her shower, as she was still self-deemed not ready for the reply that could either make her the happiest girl or send her down a path of despair.

Then, at 12:01am, on 30 December, she finally had the courage to open it.

“ hello! what u said in that message was so sweet, i’m truly flattered to find out that i have made such an impact on u in school haha so i guess u’re welcome for all that? contrary to what u said, i truly thought that it was very brave of u to send the voice message, it must have taken a lot of everyday ladybug courage. ;) anyway, i’m really sorry, but,, i don’t feel the same way about u. i do hope that we can remain friends though, and i wish u atb in your future studies (may i see u as a famous fashion designer soon and i would love to model ur designs!) and happy new year! :) ”

Tears fell onto the screen. She finally got her closure she hoped for.

Random ML headcanons bc I’m bored today

Sabine Cheng has Known™, or at least suspected, since the very beginning when Ladybug and Chat Noir first showed up on television. She never told Marinette or even Tom, but every time Ladybug shows up on the news while she’s making something in the bakery, she smiles a little to herself

Tom ships Adrienette even harder than Marinette does

Rose and Juleka are very happily in love (this is honestly 100% canon but whatever)

As are Nathaniel and Marc (also I heard someone suggest their ship name was Licorice Twist on an insta post so I nominate that as their official ship name)

Chloe is hella lesbian and has a celebrity crush on Ladybug

Marinette is pan

Adrien has definitely asked Ladybug for her autograph at least once

Adrien’s Ladybug and Chat Noir action figures were a birthday present from the Gorilla

Gabriel was once in the middle of chewing Adrien out over video chat, and he had been talking so long that Nathalie fell asleep and her finger slipped and ended the call. The next call Gabriel got was a frantic Nathalie apologizing over and over again with Adrien cackling in the background, laughing so hard he fell over. He got grounded but it was worth it

Nino had a crush on Alya for a while before they started dating, but he only realized it when they were locked in the cage

Gabriel was a lot like Adrien growing up--super rich and famous. But he fell for Emilie long before Emilie liked him back

Chat Noir is the single biggest feminist anyone will ever meet

Before they started dating, Ivan was almost as scared of Mylene as she was of him

Haven't been able to watch the "Ladybug" episode yet but I sure as hell have seen half of the Fandom theorizing that Adrien is a Sentimonster.

Okay first of all that is one bomb ass concept, I love it! Thank you whoever came up with that. But I'm still not sure what to really think of it because that is ALOT and it would be kinda weird for Marinette to end up in a true love relationship in the end when Adrien is a freaking Sentimonster. Still tho if it somehow ends up being correct, well, I can fuck with that in respect tbh

But now to my actual point because the moment I heard of the concept that one of our characters is a secret Sentimonster I inmediadly went

THE GORILLA!!!

If there is a Sentimonster plot twist, this is the one I find the most possible. Think about it:

He doesn't have an actual name

He doesn't talk (I know Sentimonsters are capable of speech but not all of them)

And his protective feelings of Adrien and his dedication to keep him save and sound are, well, Sentimonster level if you wanna put it like that

Even the time frame of Emilies coma can match up. The origins episode 1 hinted that Adrien only started modeling after Emilies dissappearence and Adriens Instagram account basically confirmed that with this:

He's around the same age as now. When we take this as Canon (which Im genuinely leaning towards because the ml Instagram accounts are surprisingly interactive and well thought out, I wouldn't see how and why the instas would give out wrong information about such a critical topic. Also this cover needed to be produced non the less and its not like its completely impossible that the Instagram people know what's up or at least get told what to post from a reliable source)

When we take this as Canon Adrien started becoming famous after Emilie dissappeared and therefore would have only needed a bodyguard since then. So possibly the gorilla only came into Adriens life after Emilie.

We basically still know nothing concrete about the Agreste backstory but let's just go with this for a moment.

Emilie used the peacock before. They found it in the (Tibet) vacation we have seen Adriens childhood picture of in "the collector"

That was roughly 10 years ago.

Let's say after Emilie found the peacock and while using it for something she found out about something bad, making her basically locking her child up and isolating him out of overprotectivness. 10 years later something happened that at least THEN made her reuse the peacock again. Like, whatever bad was out there 10 years ago that made her lock up Adrien, it came back and she tried to stop it.

For that she and Gabriel went back to Tibet looking (and finding) the butterfly and the Grimoire. It's impossible to say what happened there but obviously it put Emilie into a coma. So let's say the "bad" came there too, also looking for the butterfly and the Grimoire perhaps (something miraculous related definitely I mean DUH). But Emilie couldn't stop them/only fight them off (Gabriel definitely didn't use the butterfly back then the origins made that quite clear). So she ends up at the end with her strength but she's still somewhat conscious.

Gabriel (after getting the butterfly and Grimoire) brings a weakened Emilie home (I mean they/Gabriel somehow had to have been able to transfer her back to Paris without anyone noticing her being in a freaking COMA! She had to be at least somewhat conscious for that)

Back in Paris she's put into the underground room and into the tube. There (or somewhere before) both she and Gabriel make a promise ("style queen"). But before she fades she transforms one last time creating the gorilla with her last strength as a protector to keep her child save from whatever is out there she couldn't stop. Or maybe the gorilla was already created when Emilie had to be brought back to Paris to support and protect Gabriel and then she gave him a new mission with protecting Adrien and keeping him safe and sound

Look I don't know how plausible this is but I'm calling dips on the gorilla being a Sentimonster, that's all xD

Might be farfetched but maybe a former fan of the Ladyblog leaves after certain things ruins it for them(either it be oblivio kiss pic or lilas bullshit) when they notice marinette and her awesomeness(like making cool shit for jagged and having a soup named after her), dedicates a blog to her, showing everyone in paris(and globally) how awesome she truly is. Can be salt or pure fluff(if you're still salty cause we all are) Person could be close friend who admires her or anonymous person idk.

Oh, I ran with this. There's going to be a couple chapters. I hope you’re happy.

Allegra Clark was a huge fan of Ladybug. She adored the LadyBlog, solely for the fact that it reported the unbiased truth, and was run by a girl at her school. So, when the log had become no more than some petty shipping site for LadyNoir, she had bailed. There were plenty of other news sources, and with how many there were, at least one had to have an exclusive with Ladybug, right?

Wrong. After several hours, she had realized that no one else in all of Paris had an exclusive. So, she was stuck. How did Alya get the interview anyway? Maybe it was mentioned in the video…She scrolled through the blogs archives, until she found the video. It opened on a dark room, before Alya appeared on screen.

“Hey there peeps! Alya here, with the best gift anyone has ever given me! My best friend, Marinette, got me- “Huh. Marinette Dupain-Cheng was in Bustier’s class, too. Now that she thought about it, the girl had regressed over the last month or so. Last year, she had been a shy girl, with no friends and no backbone to speak of. At the start of this school year, she had made friends with most of her class, or so it had seemed. The girl had really come out of her shell, and even became class rep. Lately, she had slid back into said shell, speaking less, wearing plainer clothes, less makeup, spending more time on her phone or sketching. Allegra had been in Marinette’s class last year, and the girl had been sweeter than all the baked goodies she brought in. Be it on a random Friday, or someone’s birthday, Marinette brought in something from her family’s patisserie. Allegra had an idea. She was a girl guide, and helping people was part of the code…. She had work to do.

It had taken a few hours, but she had put together a full blog. She had found recordings of Marinette being mentioned by Jagged Stone and her Uncle, who was apparently a world-famous chef. The blog held a link to Marinette’s commission site (Allegra had submitted her measurements for a new dress. The girl’s designs were fantastic.) The title of the blog was ‘Marinette Dupain-Cheng is amazing ‘. The background was a cherry blossom pink, and the header was the same Cherry Blossoms that Marinette used on all her designs, taken from her site. Her first post was an introduction to the blog, and an explanation of why it was built.

Hey guys! I’m mod Allegra, (I’ll introduce the others later.) and you’re likely confused as to why I made another page for some random girl. It’s a little complicated, but I’ll give you the short version. There’s this AMAZING girl at my school, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and lately she’s been really down. “Allegra, Allain and Claude are here!” Her mom called down the hall. Allegra set aside her laptop, open to Marinette’s Facebook, Twitter, and Insta. Some may call it creepy, but she was determined to help the girl.

“Send them in!” She yelled back, stretching her back. There were two sets of footsteps in the hall, one light and quick, where the other was slow and steady.

“Sup?” Allain asked, strolling into the room. He was her oldest friend, having met at five in her mother’s beginners’ piano class. Allain was an African-French boy, his mother’s family immigrants from Morocco. He was dressed in his usual, a hoodie, jeans, a hat and headphones.

“Working on a project.” She sighed, snagging her water from her desk.

“Oooh! Can we see?” Claude asked, bouncing on the balls of his feet. She had meet Claude in third grade. He had found her, hiding in the coat closet, scared of Chloe, who had insulted her and almost made her cry. He had made a few dumb jokes, and the two had become fast friends. He was a giant, pushing five ten at age fifteen. He wore a shirt from his soccer team and a pair of jeans and converse. His brown hair flopped into his eyes, making him look like an excitable puppy.

“Sure. Remember Marinette Dupain-Cheng, that girl in our class last year?” Both boys nodded, Allain blushing. He had had a bit of a crush on Marinette. “Well, I noticed yesterday that she’s kinda regressed. Just a few weeks ago, she was vibrant and happy. Now she’s like she was last year, quiet and withdrawn. I figured that I may as well help her. I was actually gonna ask, did either of you want to help me run it? I plan to upload some cool thing she’s done once a week.” Allain nodded, busy jotting something down in the pocket notebook he carried everywhere. Probably a story idea. Allain was a prolific writer, and always had some new idea. As a kid, he rocked at make-believe games.

“Why not! I remember Marinette, she brought in blue-velvet cupcakes on my birthday, because she heard me say I love the taste but hate red.” Claude flopped onto her bed so that he was splayed across it sideways. “And she brought in Hummingbird cake for Monsieur Darcy’s birthday. That was cool.” Allain looked up from his notes.

“Oh, yeah. Whenever any of us came into the bakery, her mom would give us something for free. Madam Cheng was so cool.” He licked his lips, as if recalling a particularly tasty treat.

“So, it’s settled, then? We’ll use the blog to help Marinette?” Allegra glanced between her friends, giddy.

“Sure.” Allain shrugged.

“Why not.” Claude bounced on the bed a little.

Looks like they were in business.

I know the official prompt is Charm Bracelets, but they don’t really use them as bracelets in the show except for maybe once? I decided to just generalize it to be the lucky charms and have them use them as keychains.

Day 10: Charm Bracelets

Summary: Adrien notices Marinette’s new keychain.

Monday morning came around and Marinette was dreading walking into school. Her weekend had been tough. Thursday night Adrien had seen her in her pajamas again, and the next night she woke up several times in the middle of the night with more nightmares about her encounter with Chat Blanc. Not to mention the Akuma she and Chat Noir had to fight for the majority of the day on Saturday followed up with her shift in the bakery on Sunday. To say she was tired was an understatement. She was exhausted.

She sat up in bed and silenced her alarm praying that today would be an easy day. She got dressed and went to grab her school bag over on her desk before her eyes caught something. The charm she received for her birthday was pushed towards the back of her desk under her computer screen. She considered the blue and yellow beads for a moment. She could use a bit of luck today she figured.

She grabbed the charm and pocketed it, deciding that during class she would turn it into a keychain. The last time she had worn it as a bracelet, Adrien had noticed and made a comment about it. She wouldn’t be able to handle it if he saw her wearing it the Monday after their awkward encounter.

In a strange twist of fate, one that she was incredibly grateful for, Marinette actually arrived at school earlier than Adrien.

“This is an actual historical event I’m witnessing right now.” Alya pulled her phone out and began recording. “Tell me, miss, is this the first time you’ve been to class on time on your own?”

Marinette was used to her friends teasing and decided to play along. “Why, yes it is Mademoiselle. ‘Twas by sheer luck I awoke on this morn at the sound of the roosters crows and donned mine own tunic to arrive henceforth at Ye Olde le Collège Françoise Dupont.” She bowed to finish her monologue.

Alya laughed and switched off her camera. “That is definitely going on Insta, girl. Just warning you.”

Marinette just stuck her tongue out at her as Mme. Bustier began her lesson for the day.

She reached into her bag and fished out the charm and a paperclip. She tied the extra string to the paperclip and affixed it to the zipper of her backpack. She considered the rigging she had created and frowned. It didn’t look right and she knew she could do better. She removed the paperclip and stared into her pencil bag inspecting her options. Her eyes brightened with creativity as she spotted a marker. She carefully removed the knot she had made and wrapped the paperclip around her marker. She had created a slightly wobbly key ring for her new charm.

This time when she surveyed her work, she was pleased. Hopefully he wouldn’t notice. She really didn’t want him to get suspicious about her feelings towards him. She couldn’t risk losing his friendship.

She focused her attention back to the board and noticed the lack of blond hair obstructing her vision.

“Where’s Adrien,” She whispered to Alya.

Alya shrugged. “I’ll text Nino.”

A few beats passed. Alya slid her phone over. Photoshoot, Nino had replied. “Sorry,” she whispered back.

Marinette was simultaneously relieved and disappointed and slumped in her seat until it was lunch time.

Usually when he had a photoshoot, Adrien was gone from school the entire day, so she wasn’t expecting to see him walking in the front doors.

“What’s he doing here? He usually eats lunch at home,” Marinette thought to herself.

“Maybe he wants to eat lunch with a certain someone?” Alya nudged her with a wink.

Marinette barked out a laugh. “Yeah, I’m sure that’s it.”

“Nino!” Adrien called out as he climbed the stairs two at a time.

“Hey dude! What are you doing here? Doesn’t your old man usually make you eat at home?” Nino clapped his friend on the back.

“Yeah,” Adrien was brimming with excitement. “But he said since I was at a photoshoot all morning, he said I could go eat lunch at your house today!” He paused and held up his hands. “That is, if it’s ok with you?”

“Sorry, Buttercup,” Alya interrupted putting her arm around her boyfriend. “I’ve claimed him for the day.”

“Yeah, man, sorry. We’ve got plans. I’m sure someone else in our class would love to have lunch with you!” Nino said apologetically.

Marinette watched as Adrien’s face fell for the briefest of seconds before beaming at his friend. “Ok, guys! Have a great time.”

She stood with Adrien watching the couple walk away. Marinette almost thought she had imagined his disappointment what with how enthusiastic he had been. She studied his expression struggling to find a hole somewhere in his mask; she was sure it was a mask.

He must’ve felt her scrutinizing stare and turned to meet her eyes, smiling brightly. “They love each other a lot, don’t they?”

He almost had her convinced that he wasn’t bothered. Almost.

“Do you want to come to my house for lunch today?” She offered before she could stop herself. She couldn’t stand knowing that her friend was suffering in silence when there was something she could do about it.

His smile widened and this time it reached his eyes. “Really? Are you sure?”

She pulled her eyes away from him and started down the stairs. “Yeah, of course! My maman always makes me way too much food anyway,” She said stifling the panic rising in her chest screaming ‘what are you doing?’.

She could practically feel his excitement as he followed her towards the door. “That’d be awesome, Marinette. Thank you!”

Her eyes threatened to pop out of her head. She wasn’t expecting him to accept her invitation! Why would he even want to hang out with her anyway? She wasn’t famous, she wasn’t a model, she wasn’t a superhero (well, right now anyway). She was just a girl in his class.

“Hey, is that the charm I made you?” His voice broke her out of her thoughts and she stopped.

“Yeah,” She turned and watched him regarding her keychain with interest.

“That was clever making it into a keychain. I just keep mine in my pocket.” Sure enough, he pulled the charm out of his jeans. “I can’t wear it during photoshoots, and I don’t like leaving important things in the dressing rooms, so I just carry it like this.”

“You still hold onto that?” She exhaled in disbelief.

He straightened. “Of course! It’s a one of a kind lucky charm from my everyday Ladybug.”

She took careful notice to the way he said ‘my’.

Adrien’s stomach let out a growl and Marinette couldn’t help but laugh.

“Come on, let’s get something to eat,” She said as they resumed their trek towards the bakery’s apartment.

If she didn’t know any better, she would say she could feel his eyes on her the whole way home.

“Two Bros Chillin On A Soft Bed” by YokaiShinari and @Katrartt To summarize: Adrien has a brilliant idea to utilize his photoshop skills he learned from the modeling industry and to start taking and editing photos of himself and as Chat Noir together to Mess With The Media™.

Part ONE

- Adrien has an instagram-like-site account both as Adrien and as Chat Noir; the first one is obviously monitored;

- He buys a multidirectional tripod for his phone so the angle of the shots are more or less the same;

- Plagg helps him take the photos and gives him ideas (!); the kwami simply thinks this is hilarious;

“From all your stupid ideas, kid, this one is the most ridiculous… Count me in.”

- first photo is the picture above; Adrien transfers all the edited files to his baton (magical cloud file storing, shut up) and posts it as Chat on his account (for authenticity);

- of course it starts lightly; he only wanted to see people’s reaction to that famous Agreste boy hanging out with the Parisian superhero like the best bros, but with the caption referencing that ONE POPULAR VINE people start theorizing about these two guys being in a secret-not-so-secret-anymore relationship;

- his friends confronts Adrien about this at school; Alya goes into full superhero-journalist-friend mode, begging him for an intreview, because that Chat’s post/insta story was an awesome scoop;

- she asks him if he knows Ladybug, how did he and Chat meet, where exactly does he and Chat stand in their… relation; also, she tells him that she had reports from people on Ladyblog that they had seen Chat Noir jumping through Adrien’s windows to his room, which revelation scares Adrien at first but at least now he has an explanation for this;

- Marinette seems a bit perplexed;

- Nino gets an unreadable expression, but shrugs and laughs that it’s cool that Adrien has someone to hang out with (Nino theme will come back in angst/drama part of this concept);

- at most of comments Adrien gets, he laughs and awkwardly stammers his answers - he hadn’t thought through all the additional attention he would get and his dismissive reactions just confirm other people’s assumptions (still false assumptions, but the core idea was built on those so Adrien can’t really deny);

- when Alya catches Chat Noir and asks him about the nature of his relationship with Adrien Agreste; he answers:

“The pretty model boy? Oh, he’s a great guy! We have a lot in common, and his bed is very comfy.” And he winks before vaulting off. That response wasn’t very much direct but that wink certainly spiked everyone’s interest.

- So the tag #AdrieNoir quickly hits trending that evening.

- @CatStreetBoy gains hundreds of thousands followers (adding to his previous 1.4 mln) who previously were just Adrien’s fans; worldwide;

- Adrien scrolls through kilometres of posts calling him and Chat an amazing bromance, a cute couple, something about someone’s gaydar going off high at the sight of the cat hero, some edits of Chat Noir photos ripped from Ladyblog and his own taken from the net, brokenhearted fangirls hating on either of his sides; he and Plagg are laughing at all those responces all in good fun, so Adrien decides:

Fake relationship is on. It’s still secret, but he will hint as much as he can and as far as this drama will go. Until his sanity will slowly crumble.

- so he goes on his Chat’s latest post as Adrien and leaves a comment in the form of a winky face and a green heart emoji.
