Presenting Miraculous Ladybug: Fontaine Edition
ft. Lyney x reader
— A collaboration between @1eaf-me-alone (writing the reader’s POV) and @perpetualcynicism (writing Lyney’s POV). —
Tumblr media
Starring: The Heroes
Lyney as Adrien Agreste/ Chat Noir
A student at the Fontaine Academy of Arts studying magic tricks. He is charming, clever, and perhaps a touch too manipulative for his own good.
When the Court of Fontaine is in danger, however, he dons a mask and goes by the name of ‘Chat Noir’, working alongside his partner Ladybug to protect the city.
Reader as Marinette Du-Pain Cheng/ Ladybug
A student at the Fontaine Academy of Arts studying prop design. They take their studies seriously, have little energy for distractions, and crack smiles rarely.
When the Court of Fontaine is in danger, they don their own mask and become the hero known as ‘Ladybug’, working alongside their partner Chat Noir to protect the city.
Charlotte as Alya Césaire
A student at the Fontaine Academy of Arts studying photography, as well as an aspiring reporter for the Steambird Newspaper. A close friend of the Reader, her disposition is outgoing, kind, and energetic.
She writes articles to kick off on an early start to her career; the most famous of which, called ‘Chats on the Steambug’, records the deeds of the two heroes Ladybug and Chat Noir and speculates as to their identities.
Lynette as Nino Lahiffe (of sorts)
A student at the Fontaine Academy of Arts studying magic tricks alongside her twin brother, Lyney. She is both her brother’s best friend and closest confidant. She speaks rarely and keeps to herself, preferring to assist from the shadows rather than take the spotlight.
Furina as Chloé Bourgeois
A student at the Fontaine Academy of Arts studying drama. Her love for gossip and tendency to hold herself above others puts her at odds with the Reader, whose dislike for gossip and frivolity is taken by Furina as a personal offence.
Neuvillette as Master Fu
A judge at the Court of Fontaine hiding a secret in his own right. Serious and impartial, he has connections all over the city, and is the mind behind the heroes. When a dangerous atmosphere begins to spread over Fontaine, he is the first to act and rally help from those he deems worthy of holding a miraculous to keep the city safe.

Starring: The Villains
Arlecchino as Gabriel Agreste/ Hawkmoth
Lyney and Lynette’s adoptive mother, and a successful theatre director. She runs a large orphanage—the House of the Hearth—though her relationship with her foster children is strained at best.
By night she is the villain Crimson Moth, whose goal is to resurrect her close friend, Signora, through capturing the Ladybug and Cat Noir miraculouses.
La Signora as Emily Agreste
The deceased close friend of Arlecchino who aided her in looking after the House of the Hearth. Following her passing, Arlecchino has begun trying to bring her back to life.
Childe as Nathalie Sancoeur
Arlecchino’s assistant and manager at the House of the Hearth. He aids Arlecchino in her attempts to bring La Signora back to life, as well as overlooking the children’s well-being, including Lyney and Lynette’s.
Despite the importance of his role, Childe is often more slack about rules when it comes to the orphanage than Arlecchino would like.

Guilty by Association
(3939 words)
Marinette respected Adrien’s strength and courage more and more every day. No matter how many times people threw nasty words or literal tomatoes at him; no matter how many companies refused to work with him anymore; no matter how clear it was becoming that he would never be forgiven for his father’s crimes, he chose to greet new people with a smile and hope that this time, someone would recognize the kind heart hidden behind his hated name.
She wished she’d had the chance to meet him before she’d accidentally ruined his life.
Written for the @mlwritersguild September event 'back to school' and inspired by @ladyofthenoodle's fic oh, look now, there you go with hope again
You can read the rest below or on AO3!
Ladybug was going to have to do something about Adrien Agreste.
It had been nearly four months since she and Chat Noir had defeated Hawk Moth, publicly revealed the villain to be Gabriel Agreste, and freed Adrien Agreste from suspicion by making statements vouching for his innocence—well, they’d hoped to free Adrien from suspicion, anyway. But somehow, the public didn’t seem to get the message, no matter how many times Ladybug and Chat Noir swore that Adrien hadn’t known about his father’s dastardly deeds or how many times Adrien witnessed against his own father, submitted to another court-ordered investigation, or chose to remain in the public eye just to reassure them that he had nothing to hide.
She'd known of him before, or at least, she knew his face. But until Volpina, a jealous model at Gabriel’s brand, had stolen a certain grimoire from the Agreste mansion and cast a new light on the famous designer who lived there, she’d never given Adrien a second thought. She’d rescued him from akumas once or twice, but he was quiet and reserved; he received private schooling at home, so she hadn’t had the chance to really meet and get to know him.
And then she’d busted through the attic window of his home and, along with her partner, tore the brooch off his father’s chest in front of Alya Cesaire, her camera, and the entire world. Thanks to her, he was a target for the public’s wrath and ire now, a scapegoat whose only crime seemed to be having been born into the wrong family.
But Ladybug knew even that wasn’t exactly what had happened.
After she’d defeated Gabriel; after Chat Noir fled, still shocked, to go find Adrien and warn him that the police were coming; after Nathalie Sancoeur tried to plead with Ladybug to let her boss go free and showed her the woman he was fighting for… after all that, Ladybug had decided to speak to M. Agreste alone while he was in police custody. She had some important questions to ask him. He didn’t answer any of them, but what he did tell her revealed the nightmare Adrien’s life had always been, even before his mother died, from the moment he’d been made.
Sentibeings were a new concept to Ladybug. She hadn’t even known there was a Peacock Miraculous, much less about its strange abilities, until her unpleasant chat with Adrien's father(?).
She hid the rings her enemy had given her in her purse, where Tikki could keep them safe, while she tried to think of a way to give them to Adrien without wrecking his life even more. But she failed every time she tried to come up with a solution or plan to enact.
She’d escorted Adrien to and from the courthouse countless times by now, serving as a de facto bodyguard while the Gorilla was under inspection for his part in M. Agreste’s crimes, but each hesitant conversation she’d started with Adrien never led to the topic she needed it to.
She hadn’t even managed to tell Chat Noir yet. She was going to, of course! But she still hadn’t wrapped her head around the concept of human babies being formed out of magic, herself, so how could she possibly explain them to him?
Besides, Chat Noir had been going through a rough time himself. She didn’t want to be the one dropping yet another problem in her troubled kitty’s lap.
All the same, she needed to pull out her old Ladybug courage and tell Adrien, or at least give him the rings, before any more time could pass. And now that school was starting up again, it seemed she would finally have her chance, because one Adrien Agreste had signed up for classes at François-Dupont.
The time for procrastination—er, deliberation! Because she certainly wasn’t procrastinating—had passed. Today, at lunch, Marinette would walk over to Adrien’s table, tell him Ladybug wanted to meet with him outside, transform, go talk to him, and finally, finally be rid of the secret rings weighing her down.
There was only one problem with her plan, Marinette noted as she picked up her tray in the cafeteria. She couldn’t see a way to get Adrien’s attention; he was already surrounded by people. Had he made this many new friends already?
This is good, Marinette told herself as she felt a stab of what couldn’t possibly be jealousy in her heart. He’s been so lonely ever since his father got arrested. I’m glad that he’s finally made some friends!
She sat with Alya at their usual table and absentmindedly carried on a conversation as she waited for an opening in the crowd of students around Adrien. She had to give him the rings, and it had to be today! She’d already wasted too much time.
The crowd of lackeys seemed to be still growing, something Chloe sniffed and made a rude remark about as she proudly declared herself to no longer be friends with “that super-ridiculous son of a supervillain.”
But suddenly, raucous laughter tore through the crowd, and taunts and jeers rang through the cafeteria as the students parted, leaving Adrien alone, shame-faced, at the table. They’d overturned his tray of food, leaving parts of it oozing down his shirt, through his hair, and on his face. Marinette’s stomach dropped as she realized what had really happened. She’d been a victim of bullying, too, but never a target of so much hatred from so many people! Even when Chloe had been at her worst, Marinette had at least known that she still had people who genuinely cared about her, friends who stood up for her on her hardest days.
Adrien didn’t have anyone like that. All he had was one superhero who stuttered through pleasantries with him on occasional walks to the courthouse and a city full of people who went out of their way to make it clear how much they all hated him.
Marinette had to do something to make this nightmare stop before it got any worse! For now, people were only throwing mean words and food, but how long would it be until they threw something a little more solid? Adrien was hated by everyone, even by the police who proved his innocence to the court. It was only a matter of time until he got seriously hurt.
Clearly, now was the wrong time to give Adrien the rings. A janitor was already escorting him to the nearest bathroom to get cleaned up, and from the look on his face, he thought the grossest part of Adrien was inside him, not stuck to his shirt.
She couldn’t really go with her original plan even if she wanted to. Adrien was in most of her classes, but the only thing she could accomplish by talking to him during them was getting both of them detention with Ms. Mendeleiev. No, she would have to talk to him after school.
But then again, what good could Marinette Dupain-Cheng , the ‘miraculous’ Ladybug, really do? What could she possibly say to him to help ease the pain of finding out he wasn’t human in the way most people were? What could she do to convince Paris of his innocence that she hadn’t already done as Ladybug? What good could she ever hope to accomplish, or was she doomed to only make things worse?
She dropped her pencil in history class that afternoon.
Adrien picked it up and gave it to her with a stiff smile and bloodshot eyes. She noticed them with a pang, distracted and almost completely forgetting to say thank you. By the time she blurted the short phrase out, Adrien had already turned back around, and he jumped in surprise when he heard her voice. Kim led the class in a round of snortling laughter as the tips of Adrien’s ears turned red and Marinette buried her face in her hands.
It rained after class.
Marinette stood under the school’s roof for shelter as she waited for a break in the downpour. Her mind wandered again to the problem of how to help Adrien. He had such a good heart! Why couldn’t anyone else see it?
As she stood there thinking, someone walked up behind her, their footsteps getting louder until they suddenly came to a halt.
“Excuse me, you’re Marinette, right?” The soft question, hesitant as it was, startled her out of her thoughts.
Marinette’s heart jumped into her throat as she recognized the voice and realized it was Adrien behind her.
“Ah! Adrien, yes, Marinette I, plight. Right! I didn’t scare you, I mean you scared me, ugh!” She groaned and slapped her forehead.
“Sorry,” Adrien said in a small voice. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. I can just go.”
Marinette’s hand shot out to grab him as he took a slow step forward, and she dragged him back under the overhang, spinning him around to face her. With a petrified face, Adrien let her move him, flinching as she drew her hand back and began to speak.
“You don’t have to apologize! I just scare easily, and words my mess sometimes. I should— wait. Are you afraid of me?” she asked, her face falling as she watched Adrien flinch again and boldly try to deny it.
“No, no, I’m fine! You can do whatever it is you were going to before, I promise. I won’t stop you,” he said, looking right in her eyes with a brave expression that didn’t reassure Marinette at all.
She stared at him. “It’s okay if you are scared. I would be, if I were you. What happened at lunch, what’s been happening to you ever since your father—” she broke the sentence off when Adrien’s gaze jumped to something in the distance over her head.
He was afraid of her. He thought she was like the other kids at lunch, the ones who’d ruined his outfit and made him into a laughingstock just because he was an easy target, the boy the city loved to hate.
Was Adrien’s courage finally giving out? Was he losing the hope that had been so inspiring to Ladybug these past few months?
It should have been impossible. It felt wrong, and the world seemed to shift under Marinette as she peered closer at the boy in front of her and realized that once more, she was too late to save him, too late to protect him from being hurt.
She’d failed again, but this time, she might still be able to reverse the damage. He’d seemed so happy to meet everyone at school, and she knew from a conversation she’d had with him as Ladybug that he’d hoped to make friends at François-Dupont. It wasn’t too late for that, at least. Even if no one else trusted him enough for it, Marinette would love to be Adrien’s first real friend!
She took a deep breath and spoke again, softly this time, so that she wouldn’t scare him.
“Look. I know how it feels to be bullied, and you’re going through a worse form of it than I did. And I don’t know, maybe you’re going to leave here and start homeschooling again, to be safe. I wouldn’t blame you! But if you do want to stay at François-Dupont? You'll need someone in your corner, so let me volunteer. As a friend, that is! Uh, what do you say?”
She stuck out her hand and grinned hopefully, watching as Adrien looked at it warily.
Just then, a group of upper-class students walked through the school’s doors, laughing and talking among each other as they headed outside. But when one of them noticed Adrien, he stopped and pointed him out to the others as he threw a mean joke at him.
“Hey, Hawk Moth Jr! Why are you still hanging around the school? Do you need daddy to come pick you up, or are you going to akumatize someone to transport you home since you're too rich to walk in the rain?”
They all laughed like it was the funniest joke ever told, which it easily wasn’t, and someone else followed the first boy’s lead in taunting Adrien. He didn’t cower from the group, but Marinette could see that he’d clenched his fists, and his knuckles were turning white.
“No, no, it’s Ladybug he’s waiting for. He’s got her so convinced he’s innocent, I bet she’ll do anything he wants her to! That’s why she’s always defending him on the news,” a girl scoffed.
Marinette saw red.
“Hey! Mind your own business! Ladybug’s defending Adrien because he’s been proven innocent, three times, by three separate investigations and judges! She’s defending him because it’s the right thing to do. Which isn’t anything you bullies would know about,” she sniffed, grabbing Adrien’s fist and gently prying it open so she could hold his hand.
The first boy laughed. “Marinette, don’t let his cover-boy looks fool you. Adrien Agreste is just as bad as his father. I don’t know why Ladybug is bothering to defend him. If he were really as good as she says, maybe she’d leave Chat Noir and date Adrien, instead,” he remarked, and the group laughed even louder.
“Marinette, you don’t have to defend me. Just let them have their way, let them make me into their victim, and maybe they'll stop seeing me as the villain,” Adrien whispered in her ear, lightly beginning to pull his hand out of hers.
“No!” she shouted, grabbing his hand even tighter. Adrien flinched. “I mean,” she said, loosening her grasp, “No. You’re all wrong, about Adrien, and about Ladybug, and—”
A crazy, stupid idea struck her. It tumbled out of her lips before she could give it a second thought.
“You’re wrong, because Chat Noir isn’t dating Ladybug. Adrien is,” she said smugly. “She knows he’s innocent because if he were on his father’s side, he would’ve tried to take her earrings while they were on one of their secret dates. But he didn’t, plus the investigations should, you know, reassure you. But I understand if you’re not smart enough to understand that.”
The group of bullies stared at Marinette and Adrien, trading their gazes back and forth between the two.
“Marinette,” Adrien hissed, his cheeks turning red at this new claim.
It was a lie. Ladybug had been dating Chat Noir in secret for almost a year now, but if this was what it took to help Adrien, she’d continue to deny the truth for however long it took for the public to wake up to reality.
“I don’t think that’s true,” the girl said.
Marinette raised her chin challengingly. “Oh, yeah? Then why don’t you ask Ladybug the next time you see her. I’m sure you’ll trust her if she finally comes clean, right?”
The group hemmed and hawed as they kicked the ground and muttered to each other.
“Maybe, if her story matches up with yours. But if it doesn’t? You’ll have to admit Adrien was just lying to you.”
“I didn’t—” Adrien began, but Marinette cut him off, still high on the surge of confidence her idea had given her.
“He didn’t lie. You’re the one who got duped, by the city’s insistence on blaming the innocent!”
Marinette stared the group down until finally, the leaders turned to leave, and the rest followed suit.
The sudden shot of courage Marinette had had gave out, and she sagged against Adrien. He was trembling, lightly enough that she only noticed it now.
“I'm sorry,” she told him. “They just made me so mad! I wanted to do something to help.”
“Ladybug and I aren’t dating,” he said in a wavery voice. “H-how did you come up with that idea?”
She frowned. “They suggested it,” she said. “I just twisted it to fit my argument. I, um, met Ladybug a few times before. I’m sure she won’t mind pretending to date you for a while, until people finally start believing her that you didn’t help Hawk Moth.”
“We can’t count on that,” Adrien breathed. “Marinette, I’m pretty sure she and Chat Noir are dating. It isn’t fair to make her lie and say she’s dating me instead, and anyway, she hates lying! She’ll never go with this.”
Marinette smiled wryly. It was true that most of the time, she avoided lies like this one, but it was for the greater good!
“She’s been checking up on you every night, right?” She looked up at Adrien, raising her eyebrows. Ladybug had said as much in one of her interviews. It was hardly a secret.
Adrien nodded.
“So, ask her when she comes by tonight. I think you might be surprised by how far she’ll go to help you. It’s the least she can do after ruining your life,” she muttered.
Adrien pulled himself up straight. “She didn’t ruin it,” he said insistently. “She saved me along with the rest of Paris. I can’t really complain about the rest of it. I just happened to be unlucky enough to be Hawk Moth’s son, is all. But she couldn’t do anything about that.”
Marinette sighed. “I guess you’re right. So, you’ll give the fake dating thing a try?”
“I don’t see any other options,” Adrien said, but he smiled at her. “If Ladybug doesn’t mind doing this for a little, then do you really think Paris will finally believe her that I’m innocent?”
“I certainly hope so,” Marinette sniffed. “If not, then they’re all a bunch of dummies and you and I should leave Paris together. Anyone who thinks you’re a villain for that long isn’t worth the time of day.”
Adrien tsked. “I don't know about that. But I hope you’re right! I want to stay in public school; I want to make friends and be normal and not worry about my last name ruining everything for me. And… I think you’re very brave, to be willing to trust me the way you have. If you meant your offer, I would very much like to be friends with you, Marinette.”
He said her name so sweetly it made her heart begin to melt.
“Of course friends I will you with! I mean, I’ll be your friend, Adrien! And I’m willing to bet that my friends will be, too, once they see how good you really are. I’m going to reintroduce them to you tomorrow,” she decided.
“Do you really mean it?” His eyes found hers, searching them like he was trying to see into the depths of her soul. “You have every reason to back out, you know. I’m afraid that anyone I get to know might just become another target for those other kids. And you’re so kind,” he said in wonderment. “I don’t want that to happen to you, especially if you already got bullied by them before! It might be better if you just pretend you don’t know me at school.”
Marinette blinked, feeling a little insulted. “I would never do that! Not being your friend, letting you face those bullies all by yourself, just doing nothing, that’s how good people let evil win! Besides, if you think I would be better off not knowing you, why did you bother starting this conversation, back when you walked up behind me?”
Adrien flushed and rubbed the back of his neck. “I thought there wasn’t anyone around to see! And besides, it’s raining, but you don’t have an umbrella. I was just going to offer you mine,” he said, pulling out a folded black umbrella. “That’s all. You can take it and leave now. You’ve already done a lot to help me, and I won’t ask you for any more unless you really want to give it.”
Marinette’s cheeks warmed as she looked at the unexpected gift. After the long, torturous first day he’d had, even before Marinette had defended him, Adrien had still been planning to be nice to her? He was going to offer her his umbrella, and then walk home alone in the rain?
She reached out for the umbrella. Adrien started to hand it to her, but instead she folded his fingers over the handle and pushed it back towards him.
“I didn’t mean to make the class laugh at you earlier,” she said, quickly, before he could turn to leave. He kind of looked like he would, like she’d just utterly rejected him and was going to take his advice and forget all about him. “I just wasn’t thinking clearly, and I was a little surprised that you gave me my pencil back. I wasn’t expecting you to come back to class after lunch, honestly. I think you were very brave. And foolish! You shouldn’t let them make fun of you like that,” she scolded. “You should stand up for yourself. I won’t always be able to save you in time.”
Adrien smiled at her. “You saved me today! But you don’t have to worry, Marinette. For a while today I thought that maybe I should give up, that nobody was ever going to want to be my friend. But you reminded me that there’s always hope, even when you forget to look for it. I can’t thank you enough,” he said, delicately taking her hand in his and pressing a light kiss to it.
Marinette fought the blush that was forming on her face. She had a boyfriend!
“Welcome you,” she said. “I mean—!”
“It’s okay,” Adrien laughed. “I understand you just fine, Marinette. Here, take the umbrella, okay? Or if you still won’t, then let me walk you to your house! We can share the umbrella, it’s big enough for both of us.”
“O-oh,” Marinette stuttered. “You don’t have to!”
Adrien pulled out the umbrella and opened it.
“I want to,” he said. “You’re my friend, right? And friends take care of each other. You can think of it as a thank-you for your crazy idea earlier.”
“Hey!” Marinette laughed as she stepped under the umbrella. “It wasn’t that crazy, was it?”
Smiling, Adrien brushed his shoulder against hers as he led her out into the rain.
“I think it was just crazy enough,” he said with a fond smile. “I know we just met, but I feel really lucky to know you, Marinette.”
“Me too,” Marinette said, letting a soft blush flood her cheeks as she looked up at Adrien.
She’d finally done something to help him! She still hadn’t figured out the rest, like the rings, but she’d bought herself time. For now, being Adrien’s friend was the most important thing she could do.
When they reached the bakery door, she pushed it open and called to her parents.
“Maman! Papa! I want you to meet someone! I made a new friend,” she said, meeting Adrien’s eyes with a smile as he stepped out of the rain and into the warm house.
It might have taken her a long time, but now she knew—as long as her gambit paid off, everything was going to be okay.

Shadybug/ClawNoir supporting character Headcanons
Jagged Stone? More like Jared Smith. He wanted to be a rockin musician, but his type of music is banned by the Supreme so his career never took off. Instead, he ended up marrying his girlfriend, Nannette Couffaine, after accidentally knocking her up with twins, released his pet crocodile into the Seine, got an apartment, and works a regular job that he HATES. But, he secretly still tries to record music and sells it on the black market where it has become somewhat popular in the indie underground, but if he were caught he would go to prison for sure. It’s not a happy marriage but he does what he has to. His kids last names are hyphenated Couffaine-Smith.
No houseboat, and without Royalties from music labels, neither Juleka or Luka could afford to go to Francois Dupont
Penny works as an assistant for Bob Roth and HATES IT. The man is a sexist slave driver, but this business is brutal.
Nadja Chamack is not a news anchor. You can’t be a single mother AND have a career that takes up so much of your time. As a result, Marinette has never had to babysit Manon.
Lila wants to challenge Chloe’s position as queen of the school, but there are no lies about charity work, only lies of what powerful and famous connections she has.
Adrien is not interested in being friendly with Lila, and definitely not going to help her with schoolwork. But he is still the ultimate trophy and key to winning popularity in Lila’s eyes, so she is determined to “win him over”, even though he finds her almost as annoying as Chloe, but Chloe he is stuck with due to her mom’s working relationship with his dad.
Gabriel doesn’t trust Lila one bit.
The sad and negative emotions he is forced to sense due to the power of the Butterfly brooch cause him distress, and he often has to excuse himself due to “headaches” from overworking, as a creative’s work is never done… But he is always listening for the emotions of people crying out for justice, for help, for people who wish they had the power to help.
Andre Glacier is still the Sweetheart’s ice-cream maker, but Sweetheart’s ice-cream is just a special menu item that you can request. Otherwise he has a scheduled route and serves the ice-cream that customers ask for.
Alya’s dad wishes the zoo could focus more on animal enrichment and larger enclosures but they don’t have the budget for such “unnecessary extravagences”.
Mr. Haprel hopes to make it as a famous Mime one day so he can be rich enough to afford to send his daughter, Mylene, to the school he works at as a janitor.
Everyone avoids Ivan.
Thomas Astruc never made it as a famous director, rather, the Supreme favored his University Rival, Andre Bourgeois, who also owns the Le Grande Paris Hotel.
Gina and Roland Dupain are not divorced/separated per say… Gina was sent to prison for civil disobedience. That’s why Tom is a doormat and just goes along with whatever discipline Sabine decides on because he doesn’t want his precious little girl to end up a criminal like her grandmother.
Sabine does not teach an inkpainting class on the weekend or practice tai chi or feng shui.
The walls of Marinette’s home are not pink, they are a boring beige that she hates.
The Agreste Manor is not a sterile, black and white modern decor dungeon. It is a prism of color, function, form, beauty and nature with nods to antiquity and the whimsical. Adrien HATES it. All color and light left this world when his mother died. The art in his house mocks his pain.
There is no school blog for Nathaniel to post his art on… But Marc ended up in that class instead of Marinette. (So did Mireille) He’s still too shy to admit he’s a writer. And even more shy to admit he has a crush on Nathaniel, so all he can do is watch the boy quietly. Rose thinks it’s a romantic tragedy and wants to play matchmaker. Alex thinks it’d be a disaster waiting to happen.
There is no Prince Ali who gives toys to sick kids in hospitals.
There is nothing as frivolous as videogame tournaments, so Max devotes all his spare time to his hobby of robotics and developing an AI… but developing an artificial intelligence is frowned upon. Luckily, Alya can keep a secret… that is, if Max is willing to spare some of his time to helping her havkninto the dark web to research conspiracy theories.
Wayhem is obseesed with Adrien, who can’t stand crazy fanatics and won’t lose any sleep if the Gorilla tackles the scrawny boy to the ground.
After much convincing, bullsh**ing, and bribes, Gabriel is able to host his derby hat design competition at Francois Dupont, (and hopefully, modelling his classmate’s creations will be a bonding point for Adrien to make a new friend) Rose sees it as an opportunity to tries to get Marc and Nathaniel to work with her to create a hat, hoping sparks will fly between them.
Even if Marinette WANTED to enter a stupid contest involving that spoiled, stuck-up Agreste boy, which she DOESN’T, her mother won’t allow it because sewing and doodling outfits is a distraction from her schoolwork.
Chloe still cheats.
But Shadybug discreetly sabotages the fashion show the winning hat is supposed to feature in.
Nathalie never became Gabriel’s assistant or even acquaintance. Instead, she is in charge of the department of the Louvre that archives and locks away all “banned” art and artifacts (aka anything related to Miraculous holders)
Alex thinks she’s creepy and hates how she coldly bosses around her dad.
Audrey is the same as ever, with the exception that she recognizes that her younger daughter Zoe has some talent, and wants Andre to find a movie part for her to play, and ignores Chloe’s bitter jealousy which causes her to lash out at others even nastier than in Ladybug and Cat Noir’s universe.
Nino is treated rudely and ignored by Adrien. Adrien would never agree to play a role in Nino’s movie and even accuses Nino of trying to use Adrien’s celebrity status to give himself an unfair advantage in the student movie competition.
Adrien doesn’t have time for stupid group projects or after school activities. But not because he has a full schedule since this Universe’s Gabriel is a decent father who does not demand perfection and give a 14 year old a burdensome schedule… It’s because outside of fencing and modeling, Adrien plans to spend his time planning out which sections of the city he’s going to take his anger out on that night.
Gabriel never forgot his roots as the son of a fry-cook, and occasionally tries to cook comfort food (NOT PANCAKES) for Adrien, who insists he’s not hungry or that junk is bad for his skin/weight, which has Gavriel worried about Adrien developing body dysphoria and eating disorders… These worries are put to rest when he finds out Adrien has suddenly developed a sweet tooth for baked goods. Therefore he has no qualms about his son frequenting the local bakery so often because a growing boy needs to eat and a treat is good for the spirit.
He wishes he could be more honest with Adrien, but he knows that it would destroy his son if he ever found out that the sickness that took his mother’s life was caused by his creation… He’s also not sure what kind of trauma Adrien would have to the fact he’s not human.
Gabriel also doesn’t want Adrien in danger. Gabriel wants to create a better world for his son to live in, a world where he and everyone else can be free! Where people can throve without stepping over others, and the poor don’t have to suffer. Where people have rights to love freely and express opinions without fear. A world where people help one another.
Gabriel would never use the rings to control Adrien, instead, he keeps them locked away in a safe, and plans to give them to Adrien someday when he is an adult and less likrly to misplace them because if they were to fall into the wrong hands, Gabriel shudders to think of what would become of Adrien.
Audrey still has a low key crush on Gabriel which makes him cringe but he still acts polite to keep up working relations, and he also pities his friend Andre, trapped in a one-sided marriage and bullied by his daughter and his wife.

Okay so a thing that has bothered me ever since I first watched Chat Blanc was Bunnyx and the general time travel stuff because tghis makes no sense. In the Chat Blanc time line, after Chat Blanc destroyes the universe, everyone is dead. Including adult!Alix aka Bunnyx. So the Bunnyx fron the Chat Blanc timeline doesn'rt exist anymore, meaning that the Bunnyx fron the episode is from a parallel timeline where Chat Blanc didn't destroy the universe. That however raises the question why she would even care about that other timeline. Is her quest to assure victory over Monarch in every single timeline because that sounds exhausting as hell. I also don't understand the deal with her leg disappearing while she witnesses the fight between LB and CB, it has no reason to, because LB defeating CB doesn't have any effect on Bunnyx because, as stated earlier, the Bunnyx from that timeline is already dead! And honestly, the fact that Lb even had to fight CB makes no sense. They could've just went back in time 2 minutes so LB can erase her name from the letter (or just be quicker so Adrien doesn't see her) and CB doesn't happen in the first place!
Like, genuine question, what was the point of the whole thing? I mean other than the concept is cool and the writers wanted to give LB trauma (which never really plays a significant part in the overall story anyway??)
Sorry for rambling so much, I don't know if this makes any sense, the episode was really confusing to me and idk if it's just because the episode actually doesn't make sense or because I just don't understand it bc time travel is really confusing. Would really love to hear your opinion!
You're fine and you're not missing a thing. The episode simply doesn't make sense nor am I sure why it even exists. I know a lot of people love it, but I really don't get the hype. It runs off of nonsense logic and makes most of the characters look really bad.
Let's start with the lore.
The canon lore is that Bunnyx only travels through time, not universes, so it makes no freaking sense that an adult Bunnyx would be able to stop Chat Blanc since the existence of Chat Blanc should stop her from existing. It's a total paradox that goes against everything we'd been told about her powers. Of course, she's also supposed to be the hero of last resort, yet we hear about her hanging out with famous historical figures and the season five final sees her acting as a substitute for the horse miraculous even though the people she portals in don't do a thing to help with the final battle, so it's not like Chat Blanc is the only time her powers and role get ignored. Any time I use the rabbit, I have to completely rework its lore because canon is just so bad at time travel. I like Alix and her adult design is awesome, but any time Bunnyx shows up, I expect to be annoyed.
Also, I will never forgive her for just dumping Ladybug back in our time without so much as a word of encouragement or any reassurance that the Chat Blanc stuff was only a maybe. And Ladybug was the one to figure out how to fix time!!! Alix, you suck at your job! Or this is just another case of the writers refusing to let someone other than Marinette save the day even though the poor girl really needs a day off.
As for why this episode exists? I don't even know, dude. It makes no sense. Back when we thought it was going to be a driving force in the season four conflict - an assumption that was backed up by Marinette's nightmare in sentibubbler - the episode kinda made sense in spite of its flaws. But we're two seasons past Chat Blanc and the only person who is apparently traumatized by it is Adrien.
Yes, the writers actually said this. No, you didn't miss an episode where Adrien learned about Chat Blanc. They were talking about the nightmares from the final:
Mélanie says that he "could become Chat Blanc" and the others add that even though he does not remember and has never lived it, Chat Blanc still has an influence on his actions.
Yes, this is embarrassingly bad writing. The character who never saw or even heard of Chat Blanc is somehow the one who is traumatized and effected by it while Marinette's trauma has nothing do to with Chat Blanc or the events of the season four final. Instead, it's random BS that was never even hinted at until season five. I just... what?
In case it wasn't obvious - which I guess it isn't given that professional writers missed this - the logical way to write this to have the season four conflict be about Chat Blanc from Ladybug's side. After the conflict ends, she reveals everything to Chat Noir who becomes terrified of hurting people with his powers. This is only exacerbated by the events of Destruction. But then the show would have had to let Chat Noir have a character arc that didn't revolve around Ladynette and the series seems allergic to that as a concept, so instead Adrien gets magical trauma that keeps him from the final fight. And I thought the Derision retcon was bad!
Other issues with Chat Blanc in no particular order:
It cements Nathalie as just as bad a Gabriel since she's the one who tells him Adrien's secret identity and we then see her do nothing to try to protect Adrien.
It makes Gabriel irredeemable by showing him gleefully hurting his child. Dude punts his son across the city with a smile on his face!
It makes Adrien look slimy since he asks Marinette out without telling her that he knows her secret identity. This one is in a bit of a grey area for me because the secret identity stuff is complicated, but Adrien has never been the one who cared about secret identities AND he's the one who has been directly turned down in hero form. The episode takes none of that into consideration with its writing and it really needed to for Adrien to feel like he had a valid point of view here. As is, he's taking advantage of a situation and putting his Lady love at risk for his own wants.
The pillow sniff scene makes Marinette look unhinged.
It spits in the face of The Power of Love by having Adrien's love fail to be enough to stop him from killing Marinette.
Marinette's parents should have gotten involved after Gabriel threatened her. There is no way in hell that I'd let my kid go over to the Agreste mansion after that. If the writers were once again determined to not let Tom and Sabine parent, then the threat should have come when Marinette was alone.
Why did Ladybug even need to go to the future if Bunnyx could have just gone back in time and stopped Ladybug from leaving the present for Adrien? Why did Chat Blanc even need to be defeated? What did Ladybug's ladybug actually fix when she cast her charm?
This is minor, but it bothers me: Chat Noir should not have been smiling and happy when he was freed from his akuma. That boy should have been in the middle of a breakdown.
I know people forgive some of the above because Chat Blanc is sort of an AU and I'm not going to say that's wrong, I just can't look at it that way because there's nothing that sets Chat Blanc apart from the normal timeline. The Paris special gives us an AU. Chat Blanc (and Ephemeral) are what the writers told us would happen in the canon timeline if Gabriel ever discovered his son's secrets. Canon Gabriel was the one doing those things and would have done them again if given the chance. This is who the writers said he is. Same goes for all the other characters who come across less than stellar here.
There's a reason why I love a good Chat Blanc rewrite. It's an idea with a lot of potential, but canon capitalizes on almost none of it.

I redesing Chloe
Tumblr media
So Like you know that I did some redesing for mlb, for fun yk.(here's the link if you're curious : +
I have always wanted to do Chloe, but I knew that she need it a lot of work for my part. Like, from all the years of watching the show I found myself really like "liking" Chloe. We all love a mean girl.
I going to do give some thoughts about her desing an d why I landed on this one and comment a little bit of her writting as character.
small note: When I do this redesings I always thought about them like 16-17 ish years old, it just when I think of what I would have done with the story is them being just a lil bit older.
Desing
So for Chloe I had a few key words to go off. It girls( from the 80´s,60´s and the early 2000´s),very femenine, a lil bit of preppy and french girl. it was really dificult to balance all of this because I wanted to gave it a really iconic look but at the same time very effortless becuase of "nepo baby". Also I used "french girl" becuase I thought "she's the daughter of the most famous fashion editor of French, she would be an it girl just for the nepotism" So she should have a really unique style that breaths nepotism .
Also some time it can be similar to Mari's because of something that I'm gonna' explain later.
I'd made a pinterest board as usual for this. + (the link).
also I made some really bad explorations on options, like really fast to cutr down options.
Tumblr media
For some reason gogo boots were like the shoe to go, like confier than a heel but it has a hell, also i despise flats shoes. Also I wanted to make her have like a supermodel fisique, becuase when I saw her mom I thought "it's like a fusion of Anna Wintour and Yolanda Hadid" so like yeah.
I also had to some skechtes of her face, not because I did not like her face, just becuase it did not translate as well to my style.
Tumblr media
As you can see I even found a face for Zoe(unintencional) that looks like angelina Jolie for some reason. At the end my references are the ones on the bottom.
now for the writting
If it's not clear I do really belive that Chloe was like mistreated, because one thing is that you wanted to make her an antagonist and the other thing is what they did to her. Like keep her as a bad guy but do it with respect to the character and the work that has been done the character.
some notes about her .
-A thing that I do not remember being used in the show, the similarities between Mari and Chloe. Like literally sometime they have the same delusion and do stuff like without thinking of the concequences. Like it's simple Chloe can be a reminder of what happens if you loose the tracks and idk becomes to self absorb. And Mari is for Chloe like what she saws a "weak".
-Also a very important thing, I'd belive that Chloe should have a really meaningfull reason to bully Mari. Like it does not excuse her behavior but give it more flavor. Remeber Style Queen and Audrey acknowledeges Marinette for her talent. This is the moment. So Mari should represent all the things that Chloe was teach by her Mom to be "weak", "unusefull" ,so when she sees her mom be nicer to someone "meah" than her own daughter, she gets mad.
So I do have more notes, but I would enter to the territory of fanfiction (iamalredythere?), also If there' s any mistake in the writting, (which I know that there's) please be patience, english is not my first language and I'm def not used to write this long, at least not anymore.
have a nice day or time!

Okay, but I want to talk about this moment right here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know we all hyper focused on Marinette holding his hand to calm him down and Lila being a bitch or whatever, but let's actually stop and think about this for a second in the full context of the show.
Looking at Adrien's life and things he's said in recent episodes, this moment is actually incredibly heartbreaking. Think back to Risk when everyone was celebrating him leaving Paris to go model around the world and how sad he was. He confides in Marinette that no one else understands what he's feeling and going through because they all think it's great. Now look at this moment here and think about that.
In Risk, they see him as a rich model getting to travel the world to become even richer and more famous. Here they see him as a lovestruck boyfriend who is finally with the girl of his dreams that would do or say anything for her. In both instances, Adrien's true feelings are swept under the rug in favor of other people's perceptions. Adrien is someone who constantly has his feelings dismissed and any attempts at standing up for himself punished. He's trapped in a world where no one really cares to look past the surface and see how much pain he's in. The fact that after they said that, his immediate response was to shut down is telling.
This isn't salt at Alya and Nino, and I'm not saying they don't care about Adrien. But much like everyone else, they only see the image projected in front of them. Couple this with Gabriel's speech in the episode before this about how he crafts the perfect images to sell to the world, Gabriel is in total control of how everyone sees Adrien. Everyone, except Marinette. Alya and Nino can't see his hands under the table, but Marinette can. She sees behind the shiny exterior and the image that Gabriel sells of Adrien to the person hiding/trapped underneath. I think the way this scene was staged was a very purposeful way to demonstrate that. It also reinforces the idea that Adrien cannot stand up for himself or assert his own feelings because someone will always dismiss them and insert their narrative over him.
Yall I'm fr shipping Gabriel with death this season. I hope that cataclysm wound burns him to a crisp. I think it's poetic justice that Adrien has a hand in his own father's undoing and that Gabriel did it to himself. It's what he deserves.

i have adrino brainrot right now (do people even say brainrot anymore?? i don’t know but i can’t think of another word for it) and i want share how i view them because i haven’t read fanfic or seen anything else that’s similar enough to this
so adrien and nino are dating and they haven’t told anyone (maybe nino has told alya and adrien has told chloe (i love her and she and adrien are friends shut up) but marinette can’t know for this to work) they have multiple reasons for why they are staying silent the main ones are gabriel, nino thinks adrien doesn’t want to come out, and adrien doesn’t want nino to be bombarded with reporters, paparazzi, fangirls, homophobes/fangirls who want to date adrien (i say fangirls but i mean anyone not necessarily girls),etc if nino becomes popular he wants it to me for who nino is and what he does not because he’s dating a famous model/gabriel’s son and they like their relationship being just between them but that also means having to make sure that they are alone before they can do anything together which is a lot harder than it seems to be so nino goes up to ladybug at one point when he’s carapace(if adrino has revealed their identities to each other) to ask ladybug if it’s ok that if he and chat noir can publicly date because they’re actually dating but they have to keep their relationship secret and ladybug agrees but is a little hurt nino hasn’t told her (marinette) that he’s dating someone and that feeling comes and goes because she wants nino to be able to tell her this stuff but also doesn’t want to know chat noir’s identity and a little less publicly chat noir will flirt or tease nino when carapace is not needed (but only around ladybug/rena or when they think they can without causing a lot of attention so people don’t suspect nino is carapace) and carapace can’t really do the same with adrien (at least around rena and ladybug like chat noir does) but it’s very obvious to people close to adrien that he has the hots for carapace and has made jokes that if carapace wasn’t with chat noir maybe his celebrity status is enough to woo carapace and at times chat noir will ask for the turtle miraculous when he sees ladybug so him and nino can spend time together when they may not be able to as their civilian selves until nino gets the turtle permanently and even after adrino come out publicly they’ll still have dates as chat noir and carapace partially so people don’t think they’ve broken up but mainly because even if they could go do something together without at least one person coming up to them being able to chill with your boyfriend in places most people can’t get to is so much better than going to your typical date locations and the views are so much better (not that they usually look away from each other long enough to notice)

Paladin Tourney - Preliminary Poll #12 (Superheroes)
Bruce Wayne/Batman (DC Comics) vs. Peter Parker/Spiderman (Marvel (not MCU)) vs. Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug (Miraculous)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda:
Bruce Wayne/Batman
First off, Batman is also known as the Dark Knight. But more importantly is Batman rules. He made Robin swear an oath by candlelight before letting the kid become his sidekick and he's also said multiple times that if he ever killed someone he would have to stop being Batman.
Peter Parker/Spiderman
Peter Parker is dedicated to helping others, to protecting those he cares about, which includes all of New York City. Even when he is looked down on, even when it would be easier or safer for him to turn away, even when he struggles, he follows one of the most powerful and famous oaths of any hero: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug
There is an entire sequence in the show where she is a knight in shining armor, rescuing Adrien as a prince(ss).

Not sure if your open for prompts. But I was wondering if you can do another Bustier Salt, Lila Salt, Chloe Redemption, Alya Salt prompt. But no Adrienette please. Just Chlonette.
What if Marinette had ask Chloe to help her to get rid of Lila and Bustier for their misdeeds as a discount for Chloe to request a custom design from her since Chloe wanted to be a better person? | As Alya plotted something on Marinette to confess her feelings to Adrien but she doesn't know that Marinette is bisexual. Since Marinette is dating Chloe since they started highschool both played a big part role as pretending. Chloe pretend to be a bully while Marinette pretend to be a sweet girl and doormat.
Secret Girlfriend
It has been a long time since I written fanfiction…so I claim this as draft material
What drew Marinette to Chloe initially was her mother. Marinette adored fashion.
However, Chloe was not in the mood to hear about her mother, who had abandoned her again. She lashed out at Marinette.
Later, Sabrina told Marinette not to hold it against Chloe but her mother was a sore subject.
Feeling guilty, Marinette made a peace offering by giving Chloe her dad’s famous macarons.
Chloe refuses to accept the sweets and forgive Marinette, even vowing revenge to bully her.
However Marinette was stubborn. She tried various ways to befriend Chloe.
And while it might not seem like it in public, Chloe was gradually softened and amused by Marinette.
Eventually Marinette was kidnapped to have tea with Chloe, who explains she doesn’t need to keep bribing her to be friends.
Marinette is thrilled they are finally friends, except Chloe points out it can’t be in public. Chloe has a rep to maintain, and can’t be seen going soft.
From then on, while the class sees Chloe bullying Marinette, they don’t realise the hidden actions.
Chloe forcing Marinette to switch seats? She left her a present under the desk.
Chloe insulting Marinette’s designs. Ok, this was criticism in an attempt to be helpful
Ruining Bustier’s gift. Ok, Chloe dislikes how Bustier forced Marinette to shoulder so much responsibility. She doesn’t deserve a gift.
Point is, for every mean action Chloe does, Marinette knows there’s a hidden message behind it from her friend.
When Adrien showed up, Marinette was jealous by how much attention Chloe was giving him.
Chloe later talked to Marinette and assured her that she didn’t have a crush on Adrien, but rather an Asian fashion designer. As Marinette started blushing and stammering if she was dreaming, Chloe kissed her cheek.
Marinette finally befriended Adrien.
Later Alya assumed Marinette’s gushing about blond hair and knowledge about fashion was about a certain model rather than a certain class bully.
Flustered, Marinette went along with the lie, and proceeded to fail those false confessions to Adrien, cringing all the while at the ridiculous plans she came up with to sell the lie.
Speaking of lies, Marinette may do it out of necessity, but Lila does it out of spite and she’s putting her foot down.
Since Adrien won’t help her, and apparently she had overdone her fake crush on Adrien to the point that everyone would think her accusations are founded on jealousy, Marinette turns to Chloe for help.
Chloe: and why should I care what the sheep think? Let this be a lesson not to fall for such glamorous stories. And seriously, that blogger girl thought I was Ladybug? Has she never heard of fact checking?
Marinette: how about that Lila threatened to turn everyone against me?
Chloe paused, then gave a sigh. “Fine! Now tell me how you know she’s a liar.”
Marinette explained that she saw Ladybug expose Lila.
Chloe: hmm, well as a hero myself, we don’t want a repeat of a hero humiliating Lila. It’s bad publicity. And if she becomes an akuma, she might target us. No, we need her to be exposed in a way that doesn’t implicate our involvement. Which means we can’t ask Jagged or Ladybug for help. Not to mention I’m pretty sure Ms Bustier will guilt trip you for exposing Lila so publicly.
Marinette: she’s not-
Chloe: oh shush. If you want my help, let me rant. Just because people are nice doesn’t mean they’re right.
Slowly, a smirk began to form on Chloe’s face. “I’ve got it. A rock that will take out 2 birdbrains.”
The day after tomorrow, it was announced that Ms Bustier had been forced to resign after it had been revealed that she had no degree in teaching. She had breezed her way into the job based on white lies that she had teached before (at summer camps and while babysitting)
This fact had been exposed after Chloe had secretly baited her father to check on the teaching faculty after complaining about how her school had a rep for attracting akumas.
Thanks to Caline’s dismissal, the school board was now investigating all her work, in case she had missed proper procedure.
It was when they discovered there was an email from Mrs Rossi explaining about her daughter’s leave of absence, that the email address did not match the one on Lila’s file, nor was her medical file updated for all those diseases she kept claiming to have.
Back then, Caline hadn’t seen the necessity of doing those things as it seemed so minor.
She was proven wrong when Mrs Rossi herself confirmed Lila was lying.
To prevent akumatization, it was best to expose the matter as delicately as possible.
Lila would be facing detention and forced to confess to the whole student body about her lies and apologize. Her reputation as a liar may be known but her mother was not feeling sorry after being tricked herself.
After Lila’s forced apology, the principle advised everyone to remain calm.
Most were hardly affected by Lila.
But the akuma class were not happy to have been fooled or that their favorite teacher was gone now.
Chloe looked over their frowns and said loudly, “With that attitude, you’re sure to be akumatized. And over that liar? Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.”
Marinette stood up and started the whole class on breathing exercises.
Since Lila’s presence was not welcome in her old class, she will be transferred. Honestly, why Ms Bustier had 3 new students was a mystery when there were other classes too.
Adrien looked at Marinette and beamed. “See Marinette, i told you Lila would get exposed eventually.”
Nino: you knew!
Chloe quickly defended Adrien by pointing out if they would believe him when they didn’t believe Marinette.
Marinette also took this chance to gently tell Alya that after seeing Adrien’s nonchalant attitude, her crush on him kind of wilted.

Master post (& fics I’m planning to write)
Ladies and Gentlemen: My take on Adrien having his own antagonist like Marinette has Lila and Chloe. A new transfer students makes an enemy of the entire class, but Adrien seems to be his main target.
Part 1 Part 2 Headcannons
Status: Completed (maybe)
Let Her Eat Cake: A one shot in which Lila is exposed as Hawkmoth’s ally, which opens up questions about Francois DuPont. In other words, Bustier is accused of being Mayura.
Read Here
Status: Completed
Lila’s Reflection: A one shot in which Lila has a twin sister who she feels inferior against. Includes Lilanette, Male Marinette, and Lila angst.
Read Here
Status: Completed
Marion Dupain-Cheng: Ice Cold: So we know the umbrella scene where Adrien basically pulls his “sad boy” card to make Marinette feel bad for him? Realistically, she shouldn’t have fallen in love with him just like that. I think she should have been wary of him because of his association with Chloe or outright hate him after he scolded her for being happy that Chloe was leaving. Or in ’Bubbler’ when all he cared about was having a party and not that adults we’re literally being launched into the sky. Or in ‘Despair Bear’ after a day of forced niceties he laughed when Chloe insulted Mylene’s macaroons. Long story short, Marinette shouldn’t have tolerated Adrien for as long as she did much less have a crush on him. If she did, it should’ve been obliterated by now. (This is a Drabble)
Read Here
Status: Completed
A Beetle’s Blossom: The members of the Justice League have seen many things. The deaths and resurrection of some of their comrades, alien doomsdays, off planet missions, and the literal destruction of the world. But the boy who *strongly* resembles Bruce in more ways than just his appearance has them stumped, especially Bruce himself.
On AO3
Status: On going
Fics That Are Coming Soon
The Most Hated Girl in Paris: An AU where instead of getting off Scott free, Chloe is legally punished for the Train Incident and has to deal with the fact that’s she’s Paris’ most hated girl. She must decide if she wants to continue living this way or if she’s going to claw her way to redemption. Long term project.
Tumblr Concept
Status: Not started
Not So Miraculous After all: Tired of citizens justifying their reckless behavior with the Miraculous Cure, Ladybug stops using it, making sure that consequences get left behind.
Status: Not Started
The Fall of A Queen (C. Bourgeois): An Au where Andre isn’t re-elected as Mayor. This changes everything. Long term project.
Status: Not Started
Cuisine Paradise: Seeing as both their parents work in the food industry, Alya and Marinette decide to start a YouTube channel together to share their recipes; Marinette’s pastries and Alya’s dinner recipes. It all in good fun and they accidentally become famous. Long term project.
Status: Not Started
New Boy In Town (Remy Gasteau): The son of the Prime Minister transfers to Francois DuPont and takes an interest in Marinette. Extremely long term project.
Based on an ask I submitted to @mcheang
Status: Not Started
Civil War (Paris Edition): No matter how hard Lila tries, the class refuses to turn against Marinette, believing that Lila was just confused and there was a misunderstanding. In an attempt to get the girls to help her with Adrien, she insists that Marinette would go great with Luka. It was a brilliant plan— until war breaks out over the class. Lukanette vs Adrienette. Short term project.
Status: Not Started
Round the World Trip: After winning a series of contests, essay challenges, and competitions, Marion unintentionally earned his class a fully paid global trip over summer vacation. Includes Male Marinette and shenanigans. Mid-length project.
Status: Not Started
Damian’s Secret Brother: After ruining any chance at a brotherly relationship with Tim after his murder attempts, Damian Wayne is determined to prove that he wasn’t just a brutish assassin. The discovery of his newest biological brother provided him with the opportunity to show everyone that he could be civil with new family members. But he didn’t think he would get attached to the friendly baker’s boy who had ambitions to be a fashion designer. Male Marinette and bio-dad Bruce Wayne. Mid-length project.

Guys, seriously, PLEASE try out True Blue by @rosie-b
Golden Bug and Chat Grise are the heroes of Paris, fighting to protect civilians from Hawk Moth and his akumas. Marinette is Gabriel Agreste’s young apprentice, training under the famous designer to become the next big name in fashion. But one day, Marinette finds an open safe with a beautiful peacock brooch in it... and suddenly, she’s not sure who the villain is anymore.
I know I've shilled this fic before, and I probably will again, because a lot more people need to read it. It's an AMAZING Enemies AU with a different twist than usual - Marinette being on Hawk Moth's side, while Adrien's still a hero (he's Golden Bug, Juleka's Chat Grise, if I remember right).
Marinette's moral compass is thoroughly intact here, with Gabriel taking advantage of his manipulation skills and Adrien's vulnerability to persuade her that the best way to keep Adrien safe and to help people, especially Adrien's mom, is to help him keep the Miraculous.
Just... this is an incredible fic so far.
Ok look, I'll show you a bit of Gabriel's manipulation in the most recent chapter, chapter 7, to show you how he does it.
“Mr. Pigeon has accepted my offer of akumatization freely,” he explained to Marinette. “They all do, even if they don’t remember it. They all choose to fight on my side.”  Marinette hadn’t known that.  “Even the ones who regret being akumatized?”  That was all of them. Their breakdown was on the news every time.  “Especially those ones. They confuse their negative emotions with regret for their actions, but if they remembered the moment, they would only be sorry that they failed to win. Now, pull up the news on your phone. You cannot see through the akuma’s eyes as I can, so watch what is happening through the Goldenblog. As you’ll see, the city’s heroes do not fight fair.”  They do use unconventional methods, Marinette thought with a frown. But they’d both been so nice to her during Evillustrator! She didn’t want to not be able to like them anymore.
Like here, Gabriel takes advantage of the fact that he DOES, in fact, "ask" his victims to accept the akuma, and uses that to make it seem like they joined him willingly, even though from their reactions after being saved, they're clearly horrified by what happened. but he can find a reason for that, dance around the truth.
There's a lot more of this as well and just... this is so, SO good.

@mlbfemslashfebruary My (late) entry for day 14, dedicated to the weirdly fascinating pairing of Lila and Marinette. Set early in season 4, here's the first half of "Trust and Secrets Are to Be Treasured".
It was bad enough for Marinette that she had a cold, and had to skip school and the date with Luka. But to have Lila, of all people, bring her the homework? Get in her room while she couldn’t keep her away from her secrets?
“You do realize your mom will kill me if I try anything funny, right?” Lila said, almost as if she had read her mind. Or just her expression. “You say anything, and she demonstrates on me how a Monk’s Spade technique can be applied to a baker’s spatula.”
“How do you know about that?” Marinette asked, worried about how much her worst school enemy knew about her family.
“She did it on live television during the debacle with Jagged Stone, and then I looked up what Chinese weapon resembles a spatula the most. But let’s talk about sweeter things… Like these bugie I’ve brought you. They’re my favorite bakery good.”
For a moment, Marinette feared the food the other one was offering her was poisoned. Then her mind translated the food’s name, and she realized Lila Rossi was literally feeding her lies, and admitted she liked them.
“Seriously?” she asked as she involuntarily chuckled. “That was worse than Chat Noir’s puns.”
“Thank you. Though I suspect you’d like my truth better.” was Lila’s reply as she produced an envelope. “Here I have a handwritten list of all the false claims I’ve made and other bullshit I’ve pulled since I came to Paris, including a few things you would never suspect, and an USB drive with evidence, all to be used as needed.”
“What?! What are you trying to pull?”
“I’ve simply realized I fucked up. Deeply. Did you know I collaborated with the big bad butterfly man willingly, twice? All knowing I can easily take the idiot down and “save Paris”… And then that jackass’ stunt in New York nearly destroyed the world, twice. And I found out he got Shanghai destroyed by accident, though Ladybug fixed that. That’s when I realized the mess I’m getting myself into just to get back at the spotted near-nudist” once again Marinette cringed at her costume being practically painted on “and panicked. I was this close turning my hair in a wig and abusing embassy resources to create myself a few fake identities when I realized there was a better way, just give my leash to someone I can trust not to abuse it. That is, you.”
Marinette blinked as she processed the situation. To quote Chloé it was utterly ridiculous… But it made sense. It was even flattering that Lila trusted her so much. Still, she had to ask something.
“Why do you hate Ladybug so much?”
“Because she nearly destroyed me out of jealousy. I mean, remember my famous interview? I expected Alya to hold on it for a few days and then verify it with Ladybug, allowing me to reveal I had pranked the entire school… And then It was published on the same day. How many chances that Alya could be stupid enough to publish it without checking? And I even helped her getting some information I had stumbled upon and she was looking after on that day… Right as I was flirting with Adrien. Clearly she saw it and went to Alya to confirm it and then humiliate me, only for Adrien’s reaction not being what she expected and changing her plans.”
Marinette had almost no answer to that, not after what she had done with Kagami out of jealousy. Except that “Alya becomes an idiot whenever Ladybug is involved. Enough she thought Chloé was her even after she was saved by Ladybug on live television.”
“And how was she supposed to know it wasn’t a Lucky Charm decoy? At the time it was still plausible. But nevermind that. I hope I’m proven wrong… And trust you to keep the secret until it becomes necessary to stop me.”
“Ohhh…Kay. I’ll do it. What about Adrien?”
“There’s billions of people on this planet, I’m not going to obsess on one of them that already has a girlfriend. I think I already told you that once. And speaking of them… I’ve heard Andrè the Ice Cream Man let you choose your own magic ice cream, and it was orange and green like my favorite outfit?”
At that, Marinette blushed. She also swore to get even with whoever told Lila about that.

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews Episode 3-19: Timetagger
I'll be level: I'm not fond of Time Travel or Multiverse plots. The former can turn the show's timeline into pasta and almost always breaks the first law of thermodynamics. If you travel to the past and your past self is there, then there's a copy of the matter that makes up you. Where did that matter come from? The latter has the issue of being overdone these days and being a worldbuilding nightmare. You're multiplying the world you're building by however many parallel worlds are out there, typically infinity. I do think there are times where it can work, however. Time travel when it's the only thing focused on and can make it a good fun time like Bill and Ted, and the multiverse when we only focus on one universe and the occasionally parallel visitor or travel, like in Steel Ball Run. But who cares about that? This is an Alix episode! Woohoo!
Marinette, just say "Not again. Alya, can you handle the kids while I punch Mr. Pigeon in the face?"
Honestly a constantly rapping time travel villain that flings people to different timelines is pretty cool.
Also apparently everyone sent to the past has such a big impact they become famous in one way or another? Odd.
I'm not sure what's funnier. Chat Noir destroying relics in a museum with no hesitation or adult Bunnix being inside there.
Our watch
The revelation that the futuristic watch from one season 1 episode being a Miraculous is honestly pretty cool. I love a good callback.
Oh thank god their relationship isn't bonded there's a chance the world has a chance
Once again Chat Noir's complex about being useless strikes again
The teleporation battle was pretty fun. I liked how Timetagger sent her to the Ice Age, Cretaceous Era, Pompei's Eruption, and the Asteromorph-Gravital War. All Tomorrows is always canon.
The particle physics on that disintegration lmao
Wow, Lila saved Marinette's bacon there. To manipulate children, sure, but hey.
"The future isn't set in stone" except it is in this plot
Good episode, time travel aside!

It’s The Supreme’s World: We just live in it…
Some world building and character info for the Re-Verse and how it affects Marinette, Adrien, and Gabriel before we get into the next Kamikotized hero.
Peace was never an option… It was an ultimatum.
While World Peace Day is celebrated everywhere, truly, only Capital Cities are able to host the full splendor of such a magnificent event.
Paris is famous for never being outdone when it comes to this extravagant and cherished celebration:
Throughout the day, on every corner of the city, you could find a rare sight you would not see any other day of the year- flower carts.
Usually, flowers were too expensive for just anyone to purchase, so florists only sold the finest, most delicate and exotic flowers to appeal to the high class.
           But on World Peace Day, cheap, less popular flowers were made available so even those of low income could enjoy the rare luxury of owning a real flower;
Perhaps it is a frivolous purchase, but even the most stingy of penny-pinchers could not resist the urge to loosen their purse strings when offered a single pink carnation for the ridiculously low price of only €20!
Flowers weren’t the only thing worth buying-
There were street vendors with international fare offering a variety of delights one would expect from a carnival or festival. Each seems so exotic when they come from a culture different than your own; takoyaki from Japan, bratwurst from Germany, frappe from Italy, Cotton Candy from the United States of America.
(Yup, spun sugar is originally a traditional american food invented in 1897 by American citizens William Morrison, and John C. Wharton, and it remained a unique American speciality until it was introduced at the 1904 World Fair. The irony? One of those dudes was a dentist.)
It is a culinary trip around the world without the cost of voyage.
Unless you were a vendor, of course.
While plenty were local, many more would venture from their homes to capital cities for World Peace Day, knowing they could make a larger profit than if they were to sell their goods at smaller towns.
Some even traveled from out of country, it was a huge investment for a single day, but one that would immensely pay off if they could convince customers that their goods were more authentic.
There was also a lavish parade with floats decorated in peace lilies, white poppies, hyacinth, cosmos, pincushion flowers, red peonies, and lavender, all carrying red banners with the symbol of The Supreme.
Marching bands play folk music, and talented performers in costumes from all over the world perform traditional dances.
It is a feast for the eyes seeing all the different cultures that were united for the sake of Peace.
Of course, the most beautiful sight (that you have to pay an admission fee for) is in the Jardin des Tuileries where all the metal sculptures and plastic foliage are removed to make room for impressive, imported floral displays;
Tudor roses from Britain, Quatre–temps from Canada, Dahlias from Mexico, Cattleya orchids from Brazil, Meihua from China, and naturally French Iris at the center… All countries in the world are represented by a display of their national flower, to symbolize how all nations came together under the guidance of The Supreme.
Roland Dupain loves World Peace Day more than Christmas!
Poverty had become common place after the Great war- the whole world seemed dull and grey. But the people endured to rebuild what had been lost. Roland Dupain’s grandfather had perished in the war, and his grandmother had to raise 2 sons on her own, one of which would marry Roland’s mother.
Then, WW2 began.
Both his father and his uncle went off to fight, following in their father’s footsteps.
5 months passed before Mrs. Dupain received word that Roland’s uncle had been killed in action.
A miserable year passed and the world descended into Hell-
Nazi’s invaded France and took control of Paris.
Parisians lived in fear and battled with hunger every day. A pregnant Mrs. Dupain cried herself to sleep, having lost all hope of ever seeing her husband alive again, resigning herself to her fate of having to bring a child into the world that would never know their father…
Then, the unthinkable happened;
The Axis Powers abruptly and unanimously surrendered!
Not to the Allies Forces…. No, something far greater and more powerful.
There was dancing in the streets! Peace at long last!
Tanks and weapons were disassembled, materials and rations that had been collected for the war efforts were donated back to the people, armies were permanently disbanded, and Roland’s father came home.
Oh, that euphoric feeling of relief and utter joy when Mrs. Roland leapt into her husband’s arms, weeping tears of joy.
No more war, no more bloodshed, no more hiding in fear, no more starving!
From now on, theirs was a world of everlasting peace!
ALL HAIL THE SUPREME!
2 months later, Roland Dupain was born, and every year until his father’s died from Tuberculosis, Roland was regaled with stories of the suffering caused during the War, and how The Supreme was their savior.
Ever since, Roland Dupain has celebrated Peace Day with fond memories and a sense of pride…
Which is why his greatest shame is his wife, Gina.
The same woman who hard the nerve to lecture him about about family values when he was ready to disown his son for marrying an outrageous woman who wouldn’t even take her husband’s last name and who had nonsense ideas about experimenting with time-trusted recipes, (flour from rice?? Peuh! That’s not how it’s done!).
Gina, with her big speech about how nothing was more important than family…
She brought disgrace to their family when she was arrested 2 years ago for civil disobedience and public disturbance!
Well, there was no way he was going to allow his granddaughter to go down a criminal path!
The world was tough but fair; so long as you work hard and follow all the rules, no questions, you won’t have any problems.
So simple!
Marinette needed to learn to how lucky she was to live in a world under The Supreme’s protection.
What better way to do that then helping her grandfather sell traditional Pain de campagne to tourists on World Peace Day?
It was a tradition started by his father, that he had carried on and tried to continue with his own son (until that wife of his put crazy ideas in his head like how pain au chocolat would be more popular.) but now, he would continue this tradition with Marinette- she would become part of a proud history, develop a sense of service, and most importantly, stay on the straight and narrow!
Children need discipline, after all!
She would thank him, one day.
-Marinette strongly disagrees.
Up until she was 11 years old, for Marinette Dupain-Cheng, World Peace Day was all about yummy treats, exciting parades, and pretty flowers.
While her parents sold pastries, her Nonna would take her strolling around the city to enjoy the excitement!
Then, just a few months before she turned 12, Nonna was sentenced to 8 years in a penitentiary labor camp.
Now, World Peace Day was about carrying baskets of rye sourdough bread, lectures on how things were and were not done, and the same old stories Grandpa Roland had already told her hundreds of times before, all while watching everyone get to have fun.
It was like having detention outside of school!
The worst part was the elderly tourists who would gush over her and pinch her cheeks for ‘being such a good girl who helps out her grandfather!’
Apparently being a “good girl” didn’t entitle her to personal space.
Seriously, why did people feel entitled to put their hands on her just because she was a kid?
Mom and Dad were no help; her Mom believed this was important quality time with her grandfather that she’ll appreciate someday when she’s older.
Dad’s opinion was, as always, that her mother was right.
You know what’d she’d really appreciate?
Getting to celebrate World Peace day instead of lugging around crusty bread made from overly fermented yeast!  It was like her grandfather had an allergy to delicious food and having fun!
Grandpa Roland claimed World Peace Day was his favorite holiday, yet he spent the whole day either selling bread or complaining about how other people were selling bread wrong, how people dressed was wrong, or how people looked at their phones while walking around was wrong!
No one seemed to know how anything was “done,” save for him, and honestly? Marinette was 100% done with all of it.
For Adrien, World Peace Day is now the one time the city doesn’t stink in the literal sense.
The amount of actual flowers should help offset the stench of chemical fumes.
But he didn’t use to think that way…
World Peace Day used to make him happy, because it made his mother happy.
When he was little, his mother would giggle at the spectacle of Adrien-tallest in the world, as he sat atop his father’s shoulders for the best view of the parade in all of Paris.
Her smile was even sweeter than the sticky residue she tried in vain to wipe from his cheeks because Père didn’t hesitate to buy him every sugary treat that caught his eye.
Her voice was like a song as she pointed out and named each and every flower in Jardin des Tuileries to him, and as much as he wanted to pay attention, it was a hypnotic lullaby paired with a sugar crash that left him in a sleepy daze in his father’s warm embrace as he was carried home, his last conscious thoughts his mother’s kiss upon his forehead as his blanket was tucked tight around him.
As he got big enough to walk without being carried, he toured the celebrations with his parents each holding his hands in theirs.
Father still had his sweet tooth, despite mère playfully scolding him, reminding him of the lecture Adrien would get from the dentiste.
He was old enough to listen to her name all the flowers now, but too excited about the exotic music and the foreign dancers to really pay attention to what she said.
Though he did hear, and make a face, at his father’s mushy declaration that mère was the most beautiful rose in the world.
He never really noticed that mother’s grip on his hand was starting to weaken.
Years passed and he was too busy checking that the path ahead was clear of bumps and dips to notice any candy vendors or dances. His father was also more focused on pushing mother’s wheelchair than enjoying the parade.
Mother’s tone was still cheerful as she admired the flowers, but Adrien was too worried about whether the outdoor air was making her cough worse, her words went in one ear and out the other.
Last year she had been too weak to get out of bed. She had been too exhausted to watch the entirety of the parade on TV- visiting Jardin des Tuileries was out of the question.
Adrien would have given ANYTHING to listen to her list off the different flowers, he swore he would commit each one to memory.
Now….
Was there really any point?
He’d seen all the dances dozens of times, the music was also pretty boring.
There was nothing special about the food vendors, and too much sugar was terrible for your skin anyway.
He honestly didn’t care about flowers.
World Peace Day was just another over-rated holiday that people obsessed over to temporarily forget the mediocrity of their dreary lives.
What a joke.
For a young Gabi Grassette, son of a pommes frites vendor, World peace day meant sweets; Barbe à papa, English toffees, Mexican chocolates, and Polkagris!
Their family didn’t have a lot, but on this most special of days, his Papa would allow him some spending money to enjoy what the world had to offer~
At 8 years old, he was practically grown up, and able to walk up and down the street by himself.
It was the first World Peace Day he had a clear memory of, it was also the first time he saw a real flower up close.
Back then, he hadn’t really understood what his parents meant; things were either “real” or “imaginary”, weren’t they?
He was able to touch the plastic flowers his mother decorated their kitchen window with, and last week in L'Ecole Primaire his teacher taught him how to fold fleurs de papier.  Those were plenty real enough!
Why would adults waste euros on something silly like flowers when they could buy candy instead?
Gabi couldn’t believe he was already so much smarter than everybody else! That was probably why he was allowed to enjoy the celebration by himself unlike other children who still needed adults to watch them.
That was until he stumbled across “it”.
A single blossom that had fallen off a parade float, carried off by a gentle breeze, only to land delicately at his feet.
It was so much more fragile than he’d imagined;
The petals were just as thin as paper, yet surprisingly soft to the touch.
Its center was fuzzy? A scent not unlike the perfume he was used to, but not the same either- it was both more airy yet more bold, but like a passing whisper- there was no strange undertone to remind him of cleaning sprays.
The stem was flexible, to a point. It was smooth with a certain give. If he pressed a fingernail to it, it tore a little, but instead of revealing wire inside, it was just more green- a sticky green.
The leaves had… creases? The lines weren’t painted on, they were embedded in the leaf itself almost like…. like… veins.
        Veins, as if it were….
                 Alive.
This tiny thing in his hands wasn’t made in a classroom or a factory… it was ALIVE.
He had been told that flowers and other plants were things that grew from the ground, but he had never fully understood what that truly meant until now.
Flowers, REAL flowers, were delicate, fragrant, colorful, and ALIVE and it was the most amazing thing Gabi had ever seen!!!
But, why was something so precious only celebrated one day of the year?
   Why were there so few?
Why didn’t the adults grow them everywhere?  Why did they have to settle for paper or plastic ones when real ones were so much better?
It wasn’t the first time he, or any child for that matter, had questioned why the world was the way that it was, but for Gabi, it was the first time he had questioned why no one was trying to make the world better.
While his childhood had given him the blissful ignorance of believing that a certain holiday was all about delicious treats and beautiful flowers, with adulthood came the wisdom of understanding that World Peace Day was supposed to symbolize the end of the violent history of the world that would never again be repeated.
But only the enlightened were able to realize what World Peace Day was really about;
      Worshipping The Supreme.
Some speculated that The Supreme was a small group of the world’s greatest minds.
Others suggested The Supreme was a single individual, appointed by the Divine Almighty to lead the world to salvation.
A remaining few even dared to imagine The Supreme as God himself; righting the wrongs of humanity and guiding them to the perfect world they could have been before the Tower of Babel.
Perhaps that last one wasn’t too far fetched-
After all, the way all the World Leaders agreed to surrender their power after WW2 without hesitation was almost as if they were compelled by some supernatural force…
In order to ensure everlasting peace for generations to come,The Supreme reshaped the nations of the world;
Monarchies were archaic- being able to trace your incestuous genealogy back to the dark ages didn’t qualify you to have any sort of authority.
Elections were flawed and allowed money, baseless propaganda, and empty promises, to fool voters and keep the greedy and corrupt in power.
That’s why wars over natural resources, religious superiority, or ethnic cleansing used to be commonplace throughout history- the wrong people were put in charge of governing the masses.
Only exceptional individuals who will uphold the ideals of a utopian society should be given that kind of power.
Mayors, Governors, Senators, and Prime Ministers/Presidents were replaced with High Officials, Grand Officials,  Executive Officials, and Executive Administrators…
All of which were selected by The Supreme, and who answered only to The Supreme.
Only The Supreme could decide what those “utopian ideals” were, and no one else had any say.
Once, Gabi had been foolish enough to believe that was what was best.
After reinventing himself, from his name to the people he associated with, becoming a member of high society allowed to walk amongst the rich, the powerful, and the celebrity elite, Gabriel Agreste was finally able to see past all the bureaucratic smoke and mirrors.
No one truly had the best interests for the whole of humanity at heart.
Those with authority obeyed The Supreme out of fear and a lust for power.
Connections with the rich and influential were shallow at best; today you were friends and colleagues, but tomorrow they may very well stab you in the back to turn a profit.
In the end, the power to decide what was justifiably right or criminally wrong belonged to The Supreme, and their word was absolute.
If there was anything to take away from that, it was that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Okay so for the Alyadrien concert band au it’s basically childhood friends to lovers
Alya plays the french horn in her local band, whilst her childhood best friend Adrien is of performing around the world as a famous pianist
One day she gets a call from him, telling her that he’s going to be performing with her band as a welcome back sort of thing.
Which then leads to some chaos and shenanigans when his father is to become the new conductor and they sort of have to sneak around with the whole crushing on your best friend
Especially since Gabriel is also pushing his son to befriend Violinist Kagami Tsurugi with the intention of a marriage? Or maybe just something that will benefit him more then Adrien
And so the two of them have to like face of against that
They end up getting help from Alya’s friends Nino and Marinette who are also childhood best friends and are dating
Marinette plays the flute whilst nino is both a trombonist and helping with like the set lists and music sheets cause he’s a music nerd for sure
But eventually the two of them start to date and also figure out the Gabriel may or may not be sleeping with his assistant and it’s maybe something more between the two
It’s just a bunch of chaos with concert shenanigans along with cute dates and getting absolutely plastered

I just had a fun Miraculous AU idea (got inspired by a book i saw in Wattpad);
Yu-Gi-Oh Miraculous Vrians!
Tumblr media
I don't mind if people make artwork or write their own fan fiction of this. As long I'm credited for the original AU idea. I also posted this on DeviantArt.
In this AU, the kwamis are a special type of AI programming that is also called the "Miraculous Ignis". These AIs were secretly created by a third party during the Lost Incident. But when Professor Wang Fu (aka Master Fu) learns that these AIs were going to be used for evil purposes, he stole them from their creators and went into hiding. Fu managed to steal all the Miraculous Ignis', except for the Butterfly and the unfinished Peacock Ignis', which went missing during the theft.
10 years later, Gabriel Agreste uses the Butterfly Ignis to become the hacker terrorist known as Hawk Moth, who hopes to use the rest of the Miraculous Ignis' to waken his comatose wife, who used the Peacock Ignis too much without knowing it was incomplete. To lure out the Miraculous Ignis, Hawk Moth would hijack people's avatars in LINK VRAINS and turn them into his own mind controlled super villians. Also, to accomplish his goals, both Gabriel and his assistant, Nathalie Sancoeur, secretly infiltrate the hacker terrorist group called "The Knights Of Hanoi" under the codenames "The Collector" and "Catalyst". In hopes of not only finding the Miraculous Ignis, but to capture the original six Ignis' as well.
Meanwhile, Professor Fu decides to give the two most powerful Miraculous Ignis', the Ladybug and Cat, to Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste. They become LINK VRAINS' newest heroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, who help the hero, Playmaker, fight against both both Hawk Moth and the Knights Of Hanoi.
Other details of the AU (with spoilers of Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains);
The Kwamis Ignis have the same type of body design as the original Ignis', but they still have their animal fixtures. For example, the Cat Ignis would still have his cat ears, tail, and green cat eyes. While the Ladybug Ignis have her red body with black spots (and maybe ladybug wings on her back). They also have the same personalities as in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon.
Similar to the Miraculous Ladybug series canon, every Kwami Ignis are kept in their own jewelry shaped electronics, which connect to the holder's duel disk by Bluetooth. The holder's duel disk also changes form when they log into LINK VRAINS (which helps hide their identities).
The Miraculous Ignis have their own separate animal theme Cyberse cards. For example, the Ladybug Ignis has a ladybug theme Cyberse monster cards, and the Cat Ignis has a cat theme Cyberse monster cards.
The Miraculous Ignis gives their holders the same powers/abilities as in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon. These powers can also be used as skills in a LINK VRAINS speed duel.
Also, like in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon, Hawk Moth can only akumatize people who are filled with negative emotions/thoughts. Plus, they have to have their own duel disk and deck.
People who are not logged into or even don't have an account in LINK VRAINS can still be akumatized.
In this AU, the akuma enters a person's duel disk as a virus and always goes into a person's ace monster card. While their super villain avatar takes form similar to their ace monster. That person's deck is also transformed when they become akumatized.
Marinette still dreams of becoming a fashion designer. While as a duelist, she doesn't have too much confidence in her skills. Marinette is the only one of her friends who doesn't have a LINK VRAINS account (not until she became Ladybug, but no one else knows that). When she's not using the Ladybug Cyberse deck, she owns a fairy type desk.
Adrian is still a fashion model for his father famous fashion brand in both Den City and sometimes in LINK VRAINS. Adrian enjoys dueling but doesn't have much time to do it for fun because of his career. When he's not using the Cat Cyberse deck, he owns a warrior type deck.
Marinette and Adrien (plus their friends/classmates in the Miraculous Ladybug series canon) go to Den City High School. And are in the same class as Yusaku Fujiki (aka Playmaker). Their class teacher is Miss Bustier from Miraculous Ladybug.
Ladybug and Cat Noir doesn't know the true identity of Playmaker. And Playmaker doesn't know their true identities either.
Yusaku/Playmaker didn't really trust Ladybug and Cat Noir at first. And didn't want them to become part of his fight against the Hanoi. But Playmaker later began working with them when he realized he wouldn't be able to fight both the Hanoi and Hawk Moth's akumatized villains.
The Knights Of Hanoi had no knowledge of the existence of the Miraculous Ignis until Hawk Moth started to attack LINK VRAINS with his akumatized villains.
The Hanoi also wasn't aware of The Collector actually being Hawk Moth, not until in episode 38 and 39 when Hawk Moth tried to take control of the Tower of Hanoi by akumatizing Revolver (the leader of the Hanoi).
Ryoken Kogami/Revolver managed to learn the true identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir but agrees to keep the secret after meeting Professor Fu.
