We spent more than we planned at Costco. If we didn't have the membership from my husband's stepdad, we would not have gone to Costco at all. Like seriously, why would a family of two need that much groceries? The best part of the whole shopping experience was sampling all the free snacks. The fact that we went there on a heavy snow day allowed us to shop with less people in the store, which was a relieve for me. I really don't like it when there are too many people in the same space.

I tried to set up a couple of my single friends for a date, but they didn't like each other that much. We all agreed to hang out as friends in the future, so not all is lost, I suppose.

Today I didn't plan much for myself. I feel tired and a little stressed, but not on the verge of breaking down, which I consider as a win. Job hunting still sucks. I've got some interviews, but so far no job offer. I'm learning my strengths and shortcomings through these interviews, and realizing more and more about my true passion and self-identity. I use my free time to read about psychology, and talking to my mother more often. Our relationship has been improving, I'd say it's even better than what we had before I left my hometown.

I'm going to apply for a couple more jobs, and I will read some book. Might play Genshin Impact for a bit since it's been a week since I last played it.

Fazbear Frights: What We Found Analysis

Here’s my analysis for What We Found, the third story in Gumdrop Angel. I wrote this as I read so it may be a little different than my previous analysis where I read the story first and went back.

If you’re a Michael Afton fan I highly recommend this. Also, there’s possibly some insight into William Afton, Mrs. Afton, and Henry too, so it’s worth a skim.

Pg 144 '...a place thirty-some years forgotten' Just reconfirming FNAF 3 is 30 years past *one* of the FNAF closings, presumably FNAF 2 location.

Pg 145 "The whole building was giving him [Hudson] a headache." FIX THE VENTILATION BRUH

Pg 148 '...they were able to use salvaged derelict equiptment original to the old pizzerias.' Another confirmation of something we heard from Phone Guy.

Pg 147 "How old are you?" "Twenty-three, same as you." I think this gives us Michael's age during FNAF 3.

EDIT: This kept me awake last night. Obviously this is impossible because he has to be alive for at least 10 years before 1983, BUT maybe its just reconfirming FNAF 3′s year? 2023?

Pg 149 "Hudsan's dad died and his mom married Lewis, a ridiculous balding man who wore plaid vests and smoked a pipe" Did... Did this book just seriously imply Mrs. Afton left William for Henry? Really? (Yes, there's differences; the husband is dead and the man wears plaid 'vests' but it seems very odd to include that detail. This could just have been the writer's own imagination, though.) I have seen this as a fan theory and 100% explains the jealousy aspect of William, but I can't help but kinda hate it. I think this is very important, though, and probably Scott's intention. "This horrible little man [Lewis]... would make Hudson's next ten years a living Hell" This REALLY intrigues me given the context I just went over. The text implies Lewis was fairly neglectful to our main character / Michael stand-in Hudson. Maybe I'm wrong and for some reason Mrs. Emily left and went to William? XD Haha, I'm reading too much into this page. Maybe I'll come back to this later. I figure it's more of Scott possibly including double-details (contradicting stuff with the same character that really applies to two, which has been something I heavily pointed out in previous anaylsis on this blog) Having said that, I'm going w/the former because I can't imagine Henry being abusive (neglectful yes, abusive no) and he's never been portrayed that way in official works like William has in the novels.

Pg 150 "Hudson began to screw up in class...a product of spending the night in fear that his stepfather [Lewis]... [would] beat him just for the fun of it." Ooof. Big confirm on William actually being abusive. Unless we stick with the Henry theory for Lewis (combined with Midnight Motorist Henry theory / alcoholic). "...near-daily beatings..." "his mom started taking pills to get through the day..." So, whoever Mrs. Afton is, she was definetly not paying attention. But then, most people married to serial killers either don't notice because of denial (like this) or because the killer is so manipulative / careful they can't notice.

"Barry, who had red hair and freckles..." Yo?! Is that a description of Fritz?! These friends in the story could be the other kids Michael knew's stand-in's, aka the two gravestones with names he used (Fritz and Jeremy), as shown in the checks for the games and FNAF 6. I've long figured Michael was probably friends with the victims--it makes them easier, although riskier, targets [for William]. The two friends are male, too, like Fritz and Jeremy. If you're curious about Duane's description (our stand in for Jeremy), it's "tight black shirt... muscles... black hair long enough for a glossy ponytail..." I'm not sure if this matches anything found in the novels or contradicts them, though. (The novels = TSE trilogy)

"And so it went... until the night of the fire." For context, this is before FF burns down. We're learning of Hudson's life from his close friends in childhood, his father's death, his mother remarrying, to his abusive stepfather, to his grades slipping to this line. This would be a new fire not seen/mentioned in the games...

Pg 151 "...go to Charlie's for a sundae..." Really. Really Scott. Just gonna use this name again. OK. I'm not even gonna discuss this because it's probably irrelevant. *This is confirmed on pg 158 to be an ice cream shop. No lore relevance aside the annoying name coincidences Scott loves to troll with.

"This is not... an advance into enemy territory, a fight with demons, or a descent into Hell..." Uh, what? What is Hudson talking about? XD I'm only noting it because it seems so out of place. He's probably talking about video games or something.

Another note, although I don't have a specific reference since it is mentioned off-hand many times, is that Hudson keeps referring to his "history" which is implied to have kept him from getting a well-paying job and a girl he's crushing on doesn't know this "history" which is good for him. Seems good old "Michael Stand-In" has done some jail time or something. Edit: On pg 154/155 the girl asks Hudson, "Did you do it?" Seems he may have killed his stepfather or been involved with something else just as bad. Edit 2: No, I was thinking too deep into it. This probably refers to Evan's death at Fredbear's. DUH.

Pg 156 describes an actual "prize corner" in FF! What am I even reading? IIRC this is in FNAF 3, too. So they just hand out these scary gift boxes to people that complete the attraction? (Hudson says he *would* have fun handing out the scary toys to kids when this location opens--kind of a bully thing to do, eh?)

"[Hudson] avoid[ed] glancing in any of the mirrors..." I'm only pointing this out because it could be reference to one of two things. 1) We know because of one of UCN's music tracks, William has a fear of his reflection. Michael probably shares this trait, especially since 2) after Ennard and all... and later on pg 157 it also says, "he never wanted to face: himself" Sounds like guilt, my guy.

Pg 157 "blonde hair... blue eyes..." Hudson shares an eye color with Michael. It's possible Michael had blonde hair as a child and it changed to brown (it's common, something I personally went through being technically blonde/ blue eyed myself)

"He [Hudson] knew from personal experience that toys could turn from fun...to torture ina heart-beat" Fairly self explanatory. Either Hudson's worked at a creepy location before or he doesn't like remembering Fredbear's.

*checks how much is left.* There's still 35 pages (not counting back/front) left of this... This is gonna be a lot of notes.

Pg 158 Hudson doesn't have a car. Poor Mike, probably having to walk everywhere. Especially as a corpse.

Pg 160 This page describes many physical issues Hudson has that prevents him from entering the Navy, all from the abuse of Lewis. Obvious paralell to Michael becoming an undead [because his father sent him to CBPR indirectly causing his condition]

Pg 161 "How's your granny, Hud?... ...Is she still alive?" "I don't think she can die." Does anyone in the Afton family really 'die'? XD

Pg 162 These few pages discuss Hudson's grandmother. She's described as "a seer who claimed to know the future... ...wore big men's plaid flannel shirts with baggy jeans" Um, more plaid / flannel? AGH. STAHP. Lowkey, I would totally headcanon my Aunt Jen like this, though.

Pg 163 "Hudson's mom... the way she was before Hudson's dad had died... never... particularly warm and fuzzy... but... effiencient and responsible..." More about Mrs. Afton, so that's kinda neat.

"Hudson's dad was fun and attentive." There's a good Dad in this series?

"Unfortunetly, he also struggled with mental illness." "invisible low points" (Pg 164) Kinda reminds me of how Henry is described after Charlotte's death in the books.

Pg 164 "When Steven got himself into a bad deal that cost him his small business... he'd taken his life." Oh, it is Henry! SMH. Way to use confusing paralells. So, from our understanding thus far, Hudson's real father, Steven, is our Henry stand-in. His step-father despite being described similar to Henry, is actually our William stand-in. Fair game, Scott.

Pg 164 "...he [Hudson] was locked into a supply closet..." Oh shit, you guys. So, let me go on a tangent here, because this IS important! I just watched a retrospective on Sister Location and FNAF 6 earlier and one theory for Midnight Motorist was the person in the chair was the mother and the kid was Michael. I think this little line may confirm that. In fact, the story may be the key to figuring things out. Obviously, the line is a paralell to FNAF 4's scene in which Crying Child was locked in the supply closet of Fredbear's. I know some people, including Matpat, believe[d] CC was Michael, and in this book's context, it sort of works. This does contradict Step Closer and 1000 other things that make Michael the older brother, but maybe it's hinting at MM? Abusive stepdad (possibly Henry... maybe William is gone at this point), checked out Mom (hey, grey couch lady with Foxybro's font). IDK, but its definetly something to think about.

Pg 165 Lewis is mentioned as calling Hudson "nothing" and saying "you're nothing" on several occasions on this page. Just more abuse, for those accurate fanfic writers like me. Also I kinda wanna watch Morel Orel again. Yall know my fav character is Clay. Yall know.

"You're smoke." <-- Lewis / The text later reads, "...there was some irony, given what eventually happened." BRUH. Why did your stepdad die in a fire? :V TELL ME.

"When his family's house burned down at the end of his senior year..." Huh. Is there a fire we don't know about in the game-verse? Could this explain what happened to the FNAF 4 house before MM house?!

"...it purged Hudson of Lewis and his mother." MRS. AFTON BURNED ALIVE, TOO? Bruh. I can't with this story.

The text later describes the fire is concluded to be man-made and Hudson was blamed for it. Can't say if this ties to Michael, but it IS interesting... TBF, there is a small paralell to draw between Henry in FNAF 6 and his history of suicide in the books, too.

Pg 166 "...this place's [FF] busted thermostat.." I just find this line funny.

Pg 167 "...after three weeks of keeping an eye on the place" Some more timeline context for FNAF 3. We know that Michael worked there a little while before we start playing the game thanks to one of the phone calls, IIRC, so this makes sense. If Michael was accused of [something] and also wanting to hunt down his father, then it makes perfect sense why he's working a dead end job at Freddy's over and over and over. Fun fun fun.

Pg 169 "He hated to think about a functional character [Foxy]" This line is in regards to Hudson not liking the set up of Pirate's Cove and Foxy's hook to scare people. Sounds familiar, don't it? (For Michael anyway.)

Pg 173 "Some big find is arriving tomorrow." SPRINGY BOI! COME ON BOOK, get on with the show?

Pg 176 "Granny was wearing a red-and-green plaid shirt and her baggy jeans." Nothing special, but it was specifically brought up twice. I'm kind of racking my brain trying to understand what the point of this character is outside of "woooo everything is haunted don't you know that" kind of character.

Pg 180 "...dropped the crate on the linoleum with a resounding thud." HEY. Poor Springtrap, just gettin' tossed around like the trash he is.

Pg 186 "If you weren't so stupid, I'd tell you more about it." Springtrap bringing the burn. =:)

"A voice with a burr-like rasp...hint of a Southern accent" I'm going to assume this is because it's Lewis probably in the suit in this story and not our old British lad.

"It's was Mr. Atkin's voice." THE MATH TEACHER? *goes back to check* 'The algebra teacher'. Okay...

Pg 190 Okay, so Hudson hear's Lewis' voice this time. Okay, I get it now. Springtrap in this kind of imbodies all of Hudson's old bullies, including the teacher. He also has PTSD, just FYI. IDK if anyone finds that important, but it's fairly obvious by the line "He wasn't in his bedroom. Lewis didn't just slam his head into a desk; his head had been slammed into the [arcade] game."

"Why did he hallucinate a scene from his childhood?" Oh, it's not PTSD, then. It's just the VENTILATION ERROR. lol Okay.

Just a note, as I'm reading through the more action-based stuff, I kind of feel bad for Michael if he had flashbacks like this guy. They're intense.

So, Lewis' voice finally comes out of Springtrap on Pg 213. There's that.

Pg 220 "You can just stay there [in his room]" Kind of a paralell to Midnight Motorist. Lewis is saying it to Hudson. I really feel like the kid in the MM game is Michael because of this story...

Pg 223 "Heat purges. Fire heals." I'm sure that's Henry's life motto.

The ending was stupid, but most in these stories are. Hudson is hallucinating and is implied to have burned himself alive in FF's oven. Meh? The first half of this one is A TRIP and a little insight into what I 100% believe is Michael's childhood. I think the saddest part of it all is that we never got Springtrap speaking to Michael in FNAF 3--and if it's ever remade I hope we get more of them interacting.

She scoffs. Like she had a choice.

Her indifference had deepened to match the mansion. “You would think an owner of a creative industry would understand the term ‘house décor'.”

“Marinette-”

Her snark smooths as Gabriel himself enters, alone. He speaks sternly, holds their gazes intensely, and has a posture her stepdad surely notes to nag her about later to replicate next time. They’ve met before – she's been approved, been there, hated that – but isn’t she here for Adrien?

Oh, okay.

That’s him, is it?

She doesn’t mean to be glaring as the boy steps out – Adrien, whose face is raw in disappointment as though trying to take her throne in not wanting to be here.  

They meet eyes, greyish to the touch, disdainful in the delivery.  

She decides that she does not like Adrien.

And by the way his lip presses as he strides beside his father, he doesn’t appear to like her either. But she understands. After all, she’s seizing his freedom with other women.  

He reaches out his hand. She’s slow to take it.

“Marinette– Is it Dupain-Cheng, or Lin?”

It’s a dig at her forced name-change, she’s sure of it. “Lin.”

“Marinette Lin. It’s a pleasure.”

She casts a hidden eyeroll to the side, tempted to mutter, ‘Sure it is’.

Wane clears his throat. “We’ll have the media informed soon, but I believe simple arrangements should be decided first. Not to mention the attire.”

“Of course. We’ll leave these two here to get to know each other better to placate the reporters at public sightings. It’s what’s best if they’re going to get married.”

On beat, Adrien and Marinette flinch at the word as the men stride away, ushering staff to follow and leaving them alone in the lounge room.

She has a seat. “Adrien.”

There’s slight mockery to his voice. “Yes, my lady?”

She folds her arms over the custom dress. “Cut the act, you obviously don’t want to marry me, while I couldn’t care less. Just tug a few strings with your dad or whatever to get out of this, if you really want to get back to your girl gaggles.”

His brow pulls like he’s offended by her words. “I don’t think you understand my relationship with my father.”

“Fine then. Marry me. Whoever you are.” The dark fabric is all sorts of uncomfortable no matter how she adjusts to sit. “But then don’t complain in my ear all day and make me a slave or anything.”

The boy’s stature stiffens. “How entitled do you think I am?!”

She faces away, abashed. Her confoundment and headspace of it all (because she’s getting married, remember) caused her to run her mouth and spill what she’s already assumed of his character. And apparently, he doesn’t agree with it.

“I don’t know,” she rushes. “I don’t know you at all. My apologies.”

He simmers, pacing out of habit. “No. No I snapped too. I’ve just been arguing all week about this. I haven’t achieved anything.”

“Understood,” she says quietly.

There’s a silence.

His suited self whips to front, his hand jutted out. There’s a softness in his smile and dimples to it that she’s lightly caught of breath by. “Let me start again. I’m Adrien Agreste.”

“Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”

His brow raises, but he says nothing. He brings her hand and kisses it amidst a bow.

“Marinette,” a grin far from good-intentioned slips past his wholesome candour, “care to join forces with me in ruining our parents’ plan for us to get married? I heard they’re rather unprepared for any scandal us as a pair could get in...”

Something light flickers in her chest. She hasn’t embraced excitement or any feeling past passive resentment for a while since her father’s death, and the surprise is striking in all the best ways. It draws her to him and Marinette leaps up, his smile infectious.

“I would love to, hot stuff.”

He’s attractive, she’ll give him that.

IT’S A LONG POST BUT HERE’S THE STUFF I FOUND, UNDER THE CUT!

so this is from like.... 2012-ish? It was either freshman or sophmore year of high school. My friend and I thought it’d be funny if we made edgy pony ocs cuz we hadn’t really watched the show and we wanted to tease my boyfriend at the time cuz he was into it. Literally not too long after making these, my friend and i watched the show and got hooked...

....Yall probably won’t believe this, but this is Zonta. I don’t know what’s up with her proportions.. But Jesus.

This is an interesting situation. So my friend and I had an idea for a next gen situation with our ocs. The boy is named Remy, and he was Zonta’s son (this was back when eric was still around instead of markus. If you don’t know who Eric is, i’ve talked about that fucker on here before lmao just look up his name you should find it)

The girl was his gf, Layla. I’ve since recycled the name for a huepoint character cuz i liked it so much. This was my first attempt at drawings Goths

Right before I made this blog, I was considering who to ship with Beetlejuice, so I started coming up with ideas, this was the first idea. I don’t remember her name right off the bat but i’d drawn her a few times before ultimately deciding to go with Dottie instead.

I just like this picture a lot cuz it’s sweet, even if the anatomy is weird and i dunno what’s going on with zonta’s legs.

This was another self insert character I ended up scrapping, but I don’t remember what she was for. She might’ve been another prototype character to ship with beetlejuice before i settled on dottie. She cute tho I might bring her back for whoever I fall for next.

Zonta again. God she looked so wonky. Yes, that is Snickers, he’s been a part of her life long before she was a witch and he was her familiar. He could talk even then, if i remember correctly.

I can’t quite remember when this was, but I think it was during the time I lived with my grandpa, so a few years ago.

THIS WAS 2015 FOR SURE CUZ THIS WAS DRAWN AT MY DAD’S HOUSE. Think of this as a prototype Husk situation, Zonta wasn’t a witch yet, but her telekinesis powers fucked her up really bad if she used it for too long, and she’d hallucinate stuff like this. This was in the short, short period of time where I gave her neat swirly tattoos on her arms.

This was done for sure in 2014 cuz it was for English class. We were reading the Scarlet Letter and my teacher had us draw a bunch of characters in our own stylistic way. So I drew Hester’s nasty ass husband, who was often called the Leech, as a leech monster. My teache was very impressed with me.

And, finally, some comics from when my mom was a kid. Some of these were hers, but a lot of them were actually my aunt’s. I think they’re neat.

Go For It (Levi x MC)

Pairing: Levi x MC (Ella) Rating: G. This is pretty fluffy overall! Word Count: ~1,400 Summary:  How Levi and Ella build a life.  Notes: Self indulgent is the word of the day. I miss HIM. This is a weird, fic/headcanon hybrid that goes over the few years after MOTY, as EYE see them.  ________________________________________________

Levi introduces Zoey to Hanna Barbara cartoons. (The words he said to Ella might have been “I need to correct this crucial mistake in Zoey’s upbringing.”) They spend weeks singing the theme song to The Jetsons and pretending to power everything with their feet like The Flintstones. 

Speaking of, on their first Halloween as a family, they go as Fred, Wilma and Pebbles. It gives Levi an opportunity to bellow “ELLAAAAAA” down the neighborhood streets. He makes a very sexy Fred, so the neighbors let it slide. 

But more seriously, they talk about marriage...quickly. (“Have you seen you, Ella Day? I gotta lock that down.”) But then he says, “I don’t want to rush you, but you and Zoey gotta know I’m not going anywhere.”

Ella is hesitant--she has a child, after all, she can’t disrupt Zoey’s life. But for the first time in a long time, something feels 100% right. 

The wedding is small, which is what both of them want. Ella and Zoey wear matching white sundresses and Levi looks way too good in his suit. The guest list is small, too, just a few family and some friends, but food and drinks are abundant and when he smiles like he’s won the lottery, Ella doesn’t care where she is as long as it's with him. 

When life is slow enough for Ella to consider what she wants out of it, she realizes she has Vanessa to thank. (???) Baking has become something of a hobby. Worse, a passion. She wants to go to culinary school. Both Levi and Zoey encourage her to go. And even with the child support: “But the money,” she whispers to him at night. “Is just money,” he says, “We’ll figure it out. Loans if we have to.” 

The core truth of Levi is this: he’s a provider. So, if his wife wants to go to culinary school, she’ll go. If his kid wants to go to camp, she goes. Car needs a new part, it gets fixed. He’s going to figure it out. He’s going to make it happen. 

And so Ella does go back to school. Levi takes on more work, mostly temp stuff. Occasionally he works at office jobs that stifle him, that send him home frustrated and sad. But home is where Ella and Zoey are so he can’t stay that way.

And Ella is alive with school. Her focus is in pastry, but she also picks up courses in restaurant management and hospitality. 

To keep sane, Levi writes. He writes songs day in and day out. He still sometimes performs at Drafthouse and other venues around town, where Ella watches with pride because damn but her husband is talented.

At school, Zoey writes a book about her family, and describes them as such: 

My dad, Guy, owns his own company. It is called Nomme, they make snacks. You have probably had them. He works a lot and has a lot of meetings. 

My mom, Ella, is the best. She’s the best chef, and she makes bread and cupcakes all the time. She always tells me to believe in myself and says ‘she expects to send me off to space one day.” I believe in her too. 

My stepdad, Levi, plays guitar and works a lot of jobs. He watches cartoons with me. He is always the person who is there when storms are bad. He loves me and Mom. It’s pretty cool. 

My FUTURE dog, Pickles will also be the best. Please, Mom and Levi.

Both Ella and Levi cry about it. She’s an excellent kid. 

Zoey’s book is a little too soon, because it’s missing Levi and Ella’s addition.

The new baby is not really a surprise. He is a product of many conversations and, ahem, a lot of passion: 

“We could have another.” “We don’t have to.” “But if we do, we--” “Should do it soon, I know.” 

“Now?” “Maybe not trying but not--” “Not trying, yeah.” 

“And if it does happen?” “We’ll be lucky. We’ll figure it out.” 

And so the first Halloween after Elijah arrives Ella is convinced, by a rabid Zoey and a puppy-dog-eyed Levi, that they have to recreate the Flintstones costumes. Levi as Fred, Ella as Wilma, Zoey as Pebbles and Elijah as Bam-Bam. 

The photo from that Halloween is one of Levi’s favorites and it hangs in their home for a long time. He stands behind the family, his arms outstretched, and his chin slightly lifted in what Ella calls a “Behold, my progeny,” kind of pose. “I was proud,” he agrees, “it was a perfectly executed group costume.” 

Zoey enters an advanced STEM track at school, and Ella is racing toward the finish line at school, taking on an apprenticeship with a local chocolatier. Levi writes furiously and Elijah cries and grows and becomes the apple of his sister’s eye. She is caught, on multiple occasions, just watching him, stroking a hand over his hair. “He’s so loud,” she tells them, “but he’s so good.” 

Their schedules have the family bursting at the seams. Both parents run on caffeine and little else, and though they do okay, it seems sometimes to Ella that half of every conversation is money and savings and what when and which where and there are days cannot remember the last time they held hands. The last time they shared a beer. The last time she kissed him with the sound of music in her ears and she can’t believe she feels apart from him this way.  

Worse, Ella knows that he mostly hates his work, and it is hard because she is loving her own, for the first time in a long time (maybe ever). 

But then something strange happens. 

Levi knows a guy. Who knows a guy, who knows a guy. Who heard a song. And yet another guy would like to buy it. “It’s perfect for his client…” Levi tells Ella slowly, and more slowly still when he shows her the offer. It’s not high. Levi himself is just a guy after all. But it’s more than he expected. 

So he sells the song. 

And then, more quickly than he ever expected...another. 

And then, there are fewer guys in between him and the first guy. 

“It feels like...something, El.” he tells her one night. 

He sells another song. This one is… “A hit,” he says in a bit of a daze. And they listen together, in the front seat of their SUV, with the two children in the back, as it climbs the charts over the summer. There is some money, but it’s not the money. It's that suddenly, Levi is a bit of a guy himself, writing songs from their three bedroom apartment in Goldcliffe. 

“Someone heard my demo.” He tells her with a question-mark-tone and Zoey overhears and wants to know if that means he’ll be famous.(specifically: “Are gonna get to meet Beyonce?”) “No,” Levi says with a laugh, but there is conversation, about a trip to L.A., about more conversation. 

At night, he holds Ella tight and as their breath falls into sync the time they felt apart feels far away. “I’m scared,” he tells her because this could be nothing or this is something life changing. “I got you,” is the response. 

And so he goes to L.A. It’s only an overnight. There are no guarantees, but when he’s back, it’s good news. They like his songs. Sometimes with his voice attached, sometimes not. But there’s interest. 

That night, at home, he holds Ella’s hand on the couch, Zoey sits on the floor at their feet, in sparkly leggings printed in constellations and Elijah sits against his mother’s lap. They have all scarfed pizza and wings and cookies while something by Disney plays in the background. Zoey leans her head against Levi’s knee, and he gestures for Ella to give him the baby, who is getting big.

“What if things change?” he whispers, stroking a hand through the soft hair of Elijah’s head. “I’m not some young heartthrob anymore. I’ve got a family and what--what if things change?”

What he means is: there’s too much at stake to be chasing dreams.

Ella looks at him, at his guarded hope and his worries and concerns about what their life will be like if he tries. And so she gives him what he needs. “If things change,” she says, smiling, “we’ll double down and get a dog.” 

Levi’s answering smile is lost in the way Zoey turns around to say “dog?” with such excitement that Elijah squeals and then he takes a moment to kiss his wife and fear dissolves because they are his heart walking around outside of his body and--

His heart is telling him to go for it.

Summary: If requests are still open. I want to request Steve(bearded) & reader. Lately, he's rough in bed, leaves reader tired, sore & marked, but doesn't wait for aftercare. He goes for work or sleep. The reader feels hurt both physically & mentally. She feels used. And can't take it anymore, so ignores his presence but he doesn't notice. This breaks her. She runs away. This shooks Steve up & he brings her back. All angsty, but a fluffy smutty ending.

She didn’t know when things started falling apart she didn’t even realize things were falling apart until she took off her engagement ring and forgot to put it back on and Steve didn’t say anything. She remembered, in the beginning, he would freak out when he saw her without it and question her when she looked at it too long always afraid she would call off the wedding or leave him suddenly. He was insecure but she reassured him that she would never leave she was his forever. She remembered those days when they were both in love afraid to leave each other's side for too long. When they were both so loving and every move they made with each other was filled with affection. When they were love birds so overly affectionate that it made other nauseous.

She wondered where all that went.

His phone rings, pulling out he stuffs himself back in his pants and goes to the bedroom where his phone is. Closing the cabinet she let out a sob falling to her knees she began to cry. Not because of physical pain she was used to it by now and it would go away soon but because this had somehow become the norm and she adapted to it. Without realizing it this had become her normal.

Was this what it was going to be once they married as husband and wife? Would this be her new life as his wife? Honestly, if this was going to be the new normal if this is what being his wife entitled she didn’t want to be Mrs. Rogers. She didn’t want to be used for the rest of her life. With the same fake smiles plastered on her face (Y/n) leaves the compound and drives all the way home. The smile doesn’t leave her face until she reaches her bedroom. Her smile slips and silent tears begin to fall. She doesn’t say anything as she pulls out her suitcases and slowly packs all her clothes. Steve won’t be home until late she knows she has time. She packs and folds everything neatly all her toiletries, shoes, clothes, and jewelry is packed into her car. Walking around the house she takes down every picture with her in it down she doesn’ t take them with her just down she doesn’t want them on the wall anymore. 

Once she is satisfied with everything she places her engagement ring on the kitchen table and leaves. At first, she doesn’t know where she is going she doesn’t have many friends and those she does have don’t know of her situation and/or were friends with Steve too. She decides on her parents’ cabin upstate her mother was in Europe with her Stepdad for the summer so it would be empty she could stay there until she got her self situated again. 

(Y/n) shoots a quick text to her mother letting her know and her mother says it’s fine. She doesn’t question why she needs the cabin as she figures it was for some avenging mess she just told her to keep it clean.

Into the Blue : AU. In which Louis is Harry’s scuba instructor and quite happy to provide the requested special treatment, pun fully intended. It can’t be all that difficult to convince Harry that they’re on the same page, right? Also, Niall and Liam may or may not be dating, and Zayn is surrounded by emotionally stunted idiots. He bears it with dignity.

Give Me Truths : Louis is a psychology student with a tattoo count as high as his genius IQ. Harry is in a (sort-of) relationship with a homophobic man and hates himself a little more every day. Things fall apart and Louis puts him back together.Or, the one in which Louis falls in love with a fragile boy and tells him every beautiful truth in the world, as long as it makes him happy

Hush. : Au where small towns suck, Louis is losing it, and Harry’s just too perfect.

Wear It Like A Crown : AU. As part of a team of fixers hired to handle a gay scandal in Buckingham Palace, Louis expects Prince Harry to be a lot of things—most notably a royally spoilt brat. Never mind that the very same Prince Harry used to star in quite a number of Louis’ teenage fantasies.

You’ve got to see yourself from far and wide : Harry and Louis meet at a very early age under all the wrong circumstances, which leads them to absolutely loathe each other for years on end. Eventually they both make it as professional football players in (very) rival teams, but are suddenly bought by the same club and depend on one another to either make it or break it at the height of their careers.With a side of sports journalist (and bridge friend) Niall, teammate Liam and wannabe football rep Zayn. They say that there’s a fine line between love and hate. That line might as well be shaped as a football trophy.

It’s been speculated about for centuries. Was Queen Christina a transman? Or a lesbian? Was Charles XII asexual? Was Gustav III gay? Due to a tendency to keep these things quiet – in the history books, if not always at court – it’s impossible to tell for certain what any of them would have identified as if they had had the vocabulary we use today.

Future historians won’t have to wonder if the Swedish Royal Family has been a statistical abnormality and completely heterosexual anymore, because we now know that the answer is no. In an interview earlier this year Prince Gary, husband to Crown Princess Tilde, came out as bisexual on national TV. QX has had the privilege to get an exclusive interview with His Royal Highness.

How does it feel to be the first confirmed queer in the Royal Family? Weird. Not to be it as much as to be asked that question, because it’s unlikely that I am the first.

You’re the first to publicly self-identify as one, though. So I’ve been told, and I’m lucky that I live in a time where I have the chance to be open about this. I mean, the King and Queen are the first – save the King’s uncles – who married out of love and that must have hidden a lot of things, historically speaking. Especially for the women.

Why did you decided to come out? I thought it was important to get it out there. Being married to the Crown Princess makes me a very public figure. My personal life is public. I didn’t want my bisexuality to come out five years or so and risk it seeming like I had been hiding or that it was something I am ashamed of.

Were you ever advised against coming out publicly? Not really. We discussed it, obviously, and I told the press office that I was going to do it before I did it, but my wife and I have been very open about a lot of heavy things in the past – our PTSD, how we dealt with it (or in my case didn’t), my stepdad, her eating disorder... In comparison, this has been easy for everyone involved. It’s 2019 after all. I think my background shook the monarchy more than my bisexuality ever could.

Have you always identified as bisexual? No. Where I grew up, it was – and sadly still is – more acceptable for a man to hit his girlfriend than to do anything that’s considered ‘feminine.’ The general atmosphere was very homophobic with the words, and jokes, and insults we used. I was a part of that problem by being there and partaking in it. And I like women, always have, so anything else was easy to ignore, I suppose.

What changed? Why did you start to identify as bisexual? I met the Crown Princess. I know that might sound a bit odd, but she really helped me put words to so many things. I – like so many others – had lost someone very dear to me during V-day, someone I considered a close friend. I kept coming back to that and after having talked for a few months the Crown Princess asked me if this man really was a friend, because it sounded like I had lost a partner. From there on it went. I was a mess after that phone call. A complete mess. It wasn’t pretty, a lot of denial and internalised homophobia crammed into the following weeks.

Are you comfortable with your sexuality now? Definitely! I think a lot of my initial reaction was tied to my grief, the man I loved had died and I hadn’t even realised I loved him while he was alive. Self-acceptance played a big part in my healing process and when I got that far it felt as if a lot of things had fallen into place.

How did your friends and family, the people you grew up with, react to you coming out? Better than I did. I talked to some of them during my own process and the support I got from them was amazing. Then I came out to a lot of my mates during my stag night, and then I called up a few others right before the interview aired. They have all been great about it.

That goes for the King and Queen as well? As I said, they have all been great about it.

Was there ever anything between you and this man, your friend? Nothing sexual. He remains one of the most important people in my life. Maybe something could have been, in another life, but truth be told, I’m not sure I would have reached a place where I would be able to accept this about myself without my wife, so probably not.

You’ve been nominated for Homo/Bi Personality of the year at the GayGala Awards this year. Yes, and that’s just… I don’t know what to say to that. I’m honoured, but I feel completely undeserving of it. All I did was come out. The other people nominated, I’m really not worthy to be in their company.

Self Promo Sunday: “Wake Me Up (Before You Go Go)”

This little future fluff CS snippet seemed like a good choice to revisit on this chilly Soring morning - when it seems like it could rain again at any time!  I hope anyone reading this enjoys it and maybe gets a smile out of it - I definitely got some joy out of envisioning them in this sort of playful, sweet moment!

Summary: Emma Swan wakes one rainy morning to realize that she is no longer a lost girl and has all she could have ever wanted...

(This is really and truly nothing but a small bit of fun fluff. Even the WHAM! song I appropriated the title from is just goofy and always makes me smile. I can’t help but imagine all kinds of just silly, everyday things for our married pirate and princess to be doing in Storybrooke parallel to season seven. There was a lot of rain the week I originally wrote this fic, I pictured Killian waking Emma up in a way that got him into some mischief, and here we are…)

“Wake Me Up (Before You Go Go)”

It had quickly become habit, once the Savior of Storybrooke and her pirate were married and set up house together, for Killian to rise early in the morning, have his coffee on their house’s open back porch overlooking their lawn running down to a rocky beach and beyond that the harbor, and then begin fixing breakfast for them all in time for Henry to partake before he headed off to school, and he left to man the morning shift at the station.  To say that Emma was grateful for the chance to cuddle further beneath the covers in their huge, luxurious bed and sleep in, was quite the understatement, but she reveled in the opportunity all the same.

Not that she would want to take advantage of her new husband – she still felt a smile spread over her lips and a warmth throughout her limbs at being able to call him hers – but the crazy man genuinely seemed to enjoy his time puttering around by himself in their house, watching the sun rise and going about caring for his family – a natural “early bird” if ever there was one.  Beyond that, it stirred every fiber in her being as surely as the gentle rays of that rising sun filtering in through the white curtains at their windows, for Emma to lie still curled cozily in bed and hear the cheerful voices of her husband and son floating up from the kitchen directly below. Though she couldn’t make out their exact words, she basked in the joy and affection of their tones, which carried up the stairs to her waiting ears quite clearly.  Very little could top how much she loved hearing her two True Loves – her family, her whole little word – enjoying each other’s company so completely; laughing and joking, speaking of their plans for the day ahead as they rattled around; Henry setting three places at their tall kitchen island – they always left one set for her, so she was ready to eat once she came down for her own breakfast, just in time to see her son off and wish him a good day – and Killian finishing the pancakes, eggs, or whatever more creative delicacy he had prepared that morning and plated it up.  Emma could clearly picture them both munching bacon and talking amiably, Henry’s eyes lit with excitement as he shared the details of some story he was writing, and her pirate’s eyes bright and attentive, giving her son all his focus in a way that Emma knew for a fact told Henry just how much he matters to his stepdad, how Killian listens when he speaks as if Henry were the only person in the world.

As much as she did indeed love to sleep in, Emma in truth sometimes lingered in bed simply to give her two men their private few moments each morning; the father-son bonding an exquisite ache in her mother heart.  She knew how very lucky she had been, with Henry’s father lost to him, to have found a man who genuinely loved her son as his own – who had never hesitated to do so.  He was willing to risk his own life – throw himself between Henry and danger – even before they were ever fully a couple, or she had even given him certain indication that they ever would be.  He cared for Henry enough in his own right that he would have stepped back for Henry’s family to be whole if events had gone that way, and all of his own accord, Killian had given Henry memories of his father Neal at the boy’s own age, something Henry could hold to when the chance to know his father had been ripped away.  It meant more to Emma than she could ever truly articulate to Killian, though she had tried and felt he understood more than anyone else would have managed to grasp.

That particular morning, as she rolled over onto her back and blinked into wakefulness, Emma was confused for a moment not to hear any of the usual clatter and hum of typical morning conversation.  Scrunching her bow for a moment in thought, she remembered slowly that it was Saturday, Henry was with Regina for the weekend, and so Killian was probably still out on the porch with his morning brew, or had perhaps even ventured down to the docks to check on his beloved ship, while waiting for her to wake up and join him for whatever the day might hold.

As she awakened more fully, Emma registered the gentle pelting of rain on the roof overhead, a soothing rhythm that coaxed her awake with its natural symphony, soft and gentle.  She listened to it contentedly while debating if she was ready to crawl out of her den of blankets and seek out her husband – maybe they could sit on the porch together and just watch the downpour while wrapped in each other’s arms – when suddenly cold wetness broke into her thoughts, smacking against her side suddenly and soaking through her night shirt and across her cheek.

“Ahh! What on Earth!?” she gasped out, spluttering in confused surprise and quickly turning to see if somehow the window had blown open, only to meet the twinkling eyes of her pirate, droplets of sea water running down his face from his sopping hair, and having just snuck up and leapt back into bed with her, rain drenched clothing and all, nearly chortling with fiendish glee at her reaction.

Not content with merely having roused her into startled wakefulness and thoroughly chilling her from the cozy warmth she’d been lingering in, Killian proceeded to wrap her tightly in his arms – despite his sopping state – like some crazed octopus, and rub his dripping scruff playfully up her neck and over her cheek.

Half annoyed and half fighting not to laugh at his antics, Emma struggled to detach herself from his enthusiastic grip and smacked at his leather jacket clad shoulder, which only resulted in a wet squelching sound and him gathering her impossibly closer still.

“Killian, seriously?!” she finally exclaimed.  “You’re cold and wet!  What are you doing?!?”

Grinning with enough mischief and waggling eyebrow action to make her give in and smile back in spite of herself, Killian did finally release her and scooted back a bit when he felt her shiver.  “Well, I’ve been enjoying the peaceful morn alone for quite some time now, wife of mine, and the idea struck that being curled up by the fire, watching the rain fall on the harbor, would be ever so much more enticing if you would join me.  A surefire method of rousing you seemed to be in order, Love.”

“Did it now?” she questioned drily, quirking a skeptical eyebrow at him in an effort to appear unamused for one last ditch moment.  Truth be told, there was something in his honest desire for her company, even still, long after he had won her heart, they had married, and the two of them had more or less settled down together, which did her soul infinite good.  For so much of Emma Swan’s life, no one had even seemed to notice if she existed at all; she could have vanished from the face of the Earth chasing some skip in Boston, and there wouldn’t have been a single person to miss her.  Killian’s desire to simply share his morning with her, realizing that he wouldn’t be fully content until she joined him, made genuine happiness swell through her from the roots of her hair to the tips of her toes. It was hard for Emma to believe that she had actually once wanted to be anonymous, lost in a sea of faces she cared nothing for so she couldn’t be hurt again, and it had taken this lost man – this pirate who had given up all hope until they met – to show her just how far from the truth she was.  What was a bit of a chill and having to dry the sheets and pillowcases compared to that?

“Fine, you win,” she only pretended to grumble, shoving him a bit as she flung the covers off herself and began to get up.  “I’m getting out of bed. See?”

Killian nodded, looking ridiculously pleased with himself and then leaned in, quick as a flash, to smack another loud, sloppy kiss to her cheek and dart away before she could whirl to catch him.  Practically dancing across the room to the door as Emma huffed and squawked indignantly, he merely called back, “Excellent, my Love! I shall see you down there!” before making a swift exit.

“And there’d better be coffee!” Emma called out after him before moving to the dresser to pick up her brush and make some sort of haphazard bun once she’d combed the tangled – and slightly damp – waves of her hair.  Shaking her head and smiling to herself, she pulled some sweats on with the oversized shirt of her husband’s she’d slept in and moved eagerly to join him.  She had to give him a bit of hard time, if just for show, but she would happily start every morning just like this.

Rose’s Review: If I were a bigger cunt than I already am, I would just download this fic and sent it to A&E and be like “See this? This is what you should have done you bloody fucking wankers instead of going for the laugh!” (I’m not bitter I promise.) This isn’t just amazingly crafted Captain Swan smut, it’s amazingly crafted Captain Swan smut that rips out your heart and makes you weep for Wish!Hook because he’s just so unhappy but so gracious and in love with Emma (all Killians are in love with all Emma’s, let’s just face it). He really could have been bitter but he’s just so accepting and encouraging of Emma and his main verse self that it makes you want to curl in a corner with a bottle of rosé and weep to “White Flag” by Dido. It doesn’t make you cry because it’s angsty, it makes you cry because they just fucking love each other so much and Wish!Hook kinda gets the raw deal because he has no Emma of his own. He arguably doesn’t really exist but you still feel bad because despite the fact he was unhappy that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a good heart. Ugh. Just read it and have feels.

Rose’s Review: Guys, baseball and Killian is my absolute weakness. I’m completely gaga for baseball player Killian. I honestly got a lot of Bull Durham and For the Love of the Game vibes from this (I don’t know if the author watches Kevin Costner baseball movies, but I sure as hell do because those are the only good Kevin Costner movies there are) with a twist of Trouble With the Curve (I love baseball movies, shut up!). This is unfinished and I seriously want to see where BK goes with it because I love it so and the tension between Killian and Emma is just getting started. As for usual, Killian is a hot mess with a heart of gold and Emma is the hard ass who is working to put him in line. There’s only a few chapters to this (and a super awesome smutty one-shot here: [LINK]) but I do love the tenderness displayed between them when they’re just hanging out and watching the Home Shopping Network. BK does an actually incredible job of giving Killian an air of loneliness without bluntly saying he’s a lonely guy during a scene where he’s having a conversation with a telemarketer he’s on friendly terms with. Before you even read Emma’s thoughts on the subject, it really just strikes you that this version of Killian has no meaningful relationships outside of David and Robin. I really hope she revisits it but it’s only five chapters in and I fucking love it.

Author’s Description: It’s one of the oldest stories in the book. Two old friends have a few too many drinks, two old friends share a kiss. Happens all the time, right? But what happens when only one of them actually remembers it?

Rose’s Review: Technically this isn’t finished but where the author left off makes for a decent enough ending. This fic really pulls at you with the sexual tension and angst between Killian and Emma to the point where when they finally happened, I literally cheered in my seat and basically made a scene on the bus I was on. They’re so frustrating in this story and the rest of the cast (especially Mary Margaret and David) are notably agitated by it as well, which makes the ending result very satisfying. I am actually amazed that David and MM were friends with them for so long and just didn’t lock them in a room one day so they would finally just break all the damn tension. Walsh is positively wicked in this fic, knows all of Emma’s weaknesses and plays on them so well that you can’t help but flinch when he all but metaphorically stabs her and twists the knife. Killian is almost as much as an emotional mess as Emma is and the weight of his emotions is crushing, but not to the point where you start to hate Emma (which has happened to me with some fics.) All and all, the ending is worth the amount of emotional torture this fic puts you through.

Author’s Description: Emma Swan may believe in magic and curses and fairy tales but she absolutely does not believe in soulmates.

Rose’s Review: I don’t usually read Soulmates!AU, but honestly this barely constitutes as an AU and the soulmates aspect is subtle, which is why I love it so much. The soulmates aspect is not overly played and I would argue meshes well with the whole OUAT True Love mythos. I love the constellation element to the soul marks and the added element of different constellations from different realms. Emma’s reluctance to buy into the soulmates thing is so characteristically her, and her mixed emotions of curiosity, anxiety and reluctance towards Killian’s soul stars is very palpable without being entirely in your face. The tenderness and vulnerability displayed in the final scene between Emma and Killian when she reveals her soul stars is so powerful and well written that it gave this one-shot a real place in my heart and a place among my favorite fics.

The Worst by alchemystique

Author’s Description: His life is so weird, weird weird weird, he used to think it was so cool but who the hell would believe him if he told them David Nolan was his grandfather - oh and also Prince Charming, no, seriously, like, the actual, real life husband of Snow White - and his mom is around here somewhere, probably figuring out the amount of time it takes to break in and sneak past security, or cataloging every emergency exit on campus. Weird.

Rose’s Review: I love everything about this one-shot here. It makes me laugh every time I read it because though it’s a much older Henry which we haven’t seen yet, the voice the author has chosen feels very organic and realistic. His exasperation with everyone, especially with Killian and David, is hilarious. Though Captain Swan is not the real focus here, I really love the depiction of Emma and Killian in this. They seem so comfortable with their relationship and I really love the lack of jealousy on Emma’s end towards all the co-eds and college moms ogling Killian. The ease and comfortability is just so refreshing because it’s Captain Swan and there’s always drama, and the lack of serious drama is a breath of fresh air. The banter is just so natural and loving and Henry’s lack of surprise/what-took-you-so-long-Killian reaction to their engagement is incredibly amusing. The best line: “Oh my god, my mom and Killian are literally True Loves, you actually can’t get any closer to it than those two unless you’re, like, Snow White and Prince Charming, and my mom could kill you with a toothpick for even having dirty thoughts about him”

Rose’s Review: I’m going to admit it, it took me awhile to get into this fic and that’s mainly because I’m a terribly shallow bitch and for some reason huge paragraphs bug me (this is such a minor thing and something that is definitely easy to get over), but regardless I pushed through my bitchiness and actual read it because I love both OUAT and Black Sails, and goddamn. It’s very good fusion of the two worlds and it was fascinating to see a Captain Swan variation where Emma is more of the “moral corruptor” than Killian is and I do love the twist on that. I have to say the character I loved the most is Black Sam, who is just the unsung hero and moral support for everyone in this story. I was like “goddamn, I need this guy on the legit Black Sails show.” I’m more a Vane fan and he isn’t featured as much as Flint and Miranda are, but I could live with that. You really don’t need to watch Black Sails or have that much knowledge of it to fully enjoy this fic, which you definitely will because it’s so action packed. This fic is unfinished and I eagerly await to see what the author does with it.

i honestly just need to get this out somewhere, so here it goes...

i’m going to start by telling you a story about my senior year, i met a boy and hes honestly the love of my life and i’d do anything for him, and that’s where it went bad. i started spending all of my time with him and the eventually caused me to drift from my friends. 

i would split my time 70% with my boyfriend 20% with my friends and that only left 4% my part time job and 1% for school. 

long story kinda short, i failed. 

at this point i was living with a very overbearing mother and a verbally/mentally and sometimes physically (never sexual) abusive stepfather. 

My mum. she tried her hardest but only wanted what was best for her, never spent and of my child support money on me, i was totally self sufficient, i paid my own bills, paid for my own food, i even paid rent. 

my mum is an amazing woman but she never had time to listen, she was always to caught up in my stepdad to care. and my stepdad was too narcissistic to notice how much the lack of love/affection/attention from my mother was affecting me. 

my boyfriend was and still is so supportive and to be quite honest, he is one of the only reasons im still here. 

just before my 18th birthday, two months to be exact, i ran away, i packed my car with all of my belongings and drove out of my small town where i have grown up my entire life and drove to the city to live with my dad. 

my mum has spoken to me about 5 times since i moved to the city 7 months ago. 

the thing you have to understand is that even though my mum never had time for me, i still loved her unconditionally, she was still my best friend, she was the apple of my eye and she doesn’t want anything to do with me because i chose to live with the man that she cheated on rather that her and her psychopathic husband. 

anyway, i have gotten completely off topic.

somewhere along the way of me missing graduation because i didn’t see the point in going because i clearly didn’t pass (which btw i hold myself completely accountable for) i lost every single one of my friends.

my ride or die.

my literal “squad” all stopped talking to me the month i moved to the city. 

when i moved to the city i ultimately quit my job at the small cafe i had been working at for the past 2 years, halting my only source of income. 

so that leaves me;

1. friendless

2. unemployed 

3. relying on my boyfriend for all social interactions. 

Don’t get me wrong, i love my dad and my step mum, they’re great people but they’re not really the “lets talk about your feelings” type of parent. 

they have lived on their own together for 17 years, i don’t have any other siblings, and if i’m honest living here is uncomfortable, i feel like i’m intruding, like i’m not supposed to be here. 

i feel like i’m not supposed to be here so often that maybe i shouldn’t be anywhere at all. 

i take drugs to escape the reality of my life, i dont have a job and i cant go to uni and/or tafe with student loans because i didnt graduate so i dont qualify for government assistance. 

i dont do anything hard, occasionally some MDMA or some weed but its driving my boyfriend and i to fight so often that i take and do more which causes more problems, its just one big cycle. 

my boyfriend is joining the armed forces for a minimum of 4 years on the other side of the country and i dont know how im going to cope, i cant bare to spend more than 5 days apart.  

i realize that im obsessing and getting worked up over such trivial things but my anxiety with let me stop thinking about it. 

if you actually read all of this, thank you. i know theres no ending and ive lefty it so open ended but hopefully theres more to add in the future.
