You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

My bestie sending pics from her honeymoon and I'm like "You're living in Chrono Cross" and now I realized I never played the Radical Dreamers Edition, so I may do that this summer to combat my seasonal depression then. I have fond memories of Cross--not only was a good friend there when I played it but she got me the guide too, I think! We named Nikki 'Twiggy' lol I'm so fucking old

Also all these posts on Twitter about Digimon Adventure and reading the new 02 Dramas really makes me miss the world. I might have to do a rewatch soon, which would be great since I did get the sub box set last year and I haven't watched it in awhile. (I also like the dub and own that on DVD). The hype during the Vamdemon arc was unreal as a kid and the fact that Yamato got (maybe too much) focus in the DM arc I was through the roof haha... The discussion about how to counter the budget by giving Taichi and Yamato megas in their own way and how the PSP game fixed that by giving the other kids their mega evos reminded me of how I never finished that game :( I lost my save file (because english, because emulation) and I got stuck on the Vamdemon fight and couldn't proceed past the end of the arc, so I never got to play my favorite arc :( Sigh... I should YT it at some point, but I'm SUPER THOROUGH in my playthroughs and IDK if I could find like a no commentary one that is thorough and doing all the subquests... The PSP expanded so much and I loved every moment of it. I wish they'd release the game in english text, like an Asian release, so I could play it on the hardware. Maybe we can get a remake/port in the future! Wouldn't that be awesome?!

I'm so burnt out socially right now that I haven't had too much time to work on anything. I'm in love with my kid designs for William and Henry on FNAF and I've been toying with giving my original character (not FNAF related), Levi, a bunny hoodie lol but I gave it to kid Will instead. I wanna write an AU maybe...

Some life updates from my other blog.

I've had an idea for a cool William sketch, but again, no time to actually draw it. I hope I get to share it with you guys soon.

How it's going

I haven't had any time to myself lately to work on writing or art. I had COVID, then my best friend's wedding, then some health issues. I'm doing better now, but the holidays coming... I've been wasting time in Minecraft with my friends and debating what kind of novel I want to actually get serious about in 2024 and write. Also trying to get more serious about my health, but my brain doesn't like that.

Had a wonderful few days with Star Ocean 2 R, remake of my favorite game ever. I'm still working on a second playthrough for the platinum (I don't ever platinum anything). My wife got a good deal on Triangle Strategy, but I haven't had time to play it very far. I've got my wife's birthday, our 18th anniversary, xmas eve with family, and actual xmas all in December, so I probably won't post much until January.

My mental health is really bad today so I do apologize for not being very active here. I finally finished recovering from That Cold and I have many chores to catch up on. Ive also been working on my review of SO2R and the original is my favorite game ever so its gonna be lengthy.

Click Team Trailer Theory - It's Left to Rot Location

I've been sick with That Cold all week so I'm finally happy I have an excuse to post something fun. On the downside, I had to rewatch FNAF 2 lol (I hate the ambient noise effect in og FNAF 2, I think its an autism thing)

ANYWAY, THEORY TIME.

If you haven't seen Dawko's video summarizing the new Click Team stuff, go check it out. Funnily enough about halfway through the video I came to the same suspected conclusion--we may be getting a game about the Withereds (aka the Location Left to Rot in old Game Theory videos, AKA Freddy's Pizza Place as seen in FNAF 6)

One thing in the Click Team Halloween teaser stood out to me: it's lightning. Haha, as a William fan you know I JUMPED on that. Of course, I suspected Fredbear's/The Puppet's death at first, BUT...

it also rained at another location--the location with the Safe Room and where William was springlocked. We even see lightning in the springlock cutscene! If you watch Markiplier's playthrough he even audibly hears the lightning.

I believe the FNAF 3 Springlock scene was pretty nailed down as an abandoned Unwithered/Left to Rot location...

Thoughts?! =:D Are we finally getting a game with some backstory?! (Could it tie into the next movie...?)
