hot take (maybe)

i know many of you think percy is the gossip guy, but in the books he usually doesn’t really care about what’s going on in other people’s lives that much. he cares about his friends obviously, but he doesn’t ever give off the vibes of being someone who would enjoy gossip and drama at all. i feel like he’s the “i didn’t ask” guy. like tell me this isn’t how it would go

annabeth: oh good you’re home! how were the guys?

percy: good. i tried to teach frank to skateboard. it… it didn’t go very well. that guy is strong as fuck but he has terrible balance!

annabeth: i could have told you that. is anything new with any of them?

percy: i don’t know. not really? although when we were watching the game, chris mentioned him and clarisse broke up. it was right before halftime when-

annabeth: WHAT?? WHY DID THEY BREAK UP??

percy: uhh, i don’t know

annabeth: okay well when did they break up?

percy: hm, i don’t know

annabeth: what do you mean you don’t know?? did he not want to talk about it??

Nico: If you insist, but I already told you that he's not taking calls. I have no idea what might happen. Don't say that I didn't warn you. Percy, you're up!

Percy: On it!

(Percy swings an upward fist and a massive jet of water sprays upward like a geyser)

Nico: (tosses coin) Iris, put me through to the underworld.

(Boy with a jackal head appears)

Clarisse: What the...?

Annabeth: Um guys - if I'm not mistaken that looks like Anubis. He's an Egyptian god of the underworld.

Anubis: Greek demigods? Oh boy! I have all the luck. This better be good, or I'll turn you all into scorpions.

Nico: (slightly worried look) Well, Clarisse? Tell him. This was your idea.

Clarisse: Uh...um... Mr. Anubis? I need for you to let Nico have a battalion of undead warriors. Okay?

Anubis: No can do. Not my department. I really ought to turn you into scorpions. I take it Hades isn't taking your calls, huh?

Nico: That's more or less it, yeah...

Anubis: Yeah? Well listen up real good, Casper.

Nico: Nico...

Anubis: Whatever. Your name's not important. Don't even think about trying the underworld again. Capice? If Hades isn't taking your calls, there's no telling who you'll get rerouted to. Might even be Set and trust me Casper - that wouldn't end well. Not even for you...

(Anubis goes up in a puff of smoke)

Annabeth: Geez, and I thought our gods were unhelpful...

A few ideas...

I think that the first place Hilbert went to when he left to look for N was Nimbasa City (He remembers how much the guy likes ferris wheels and how more than half of the 30 minute ride on the wheel with him he spend it listening to him talk about them, besides the revelation of N being the King of Team Plasma).

He did not find him there, and spend sometime looking around the city. Going to Gear Station he meets Hilda. I thought it would be interesting if she had been challenging the Battle Subway countless times only to be stopped by Ingo and Emmet always. The twins are very used to seeing her around and honestly think of her as a promising trainer, so they wait for the day she can actually defeat them.

She had been doing the Multi-line alone until then. She practically sees Hilbert, goes "You look strong." and then takes him with her to train (and convince him to help her out).

They defeat the twins, and well, she is the one who accompanies Hilbert during his search, wanting to see more strong trainers. Hilbert let her accompanie him out of curiosity.

"And you want to battle strong trainers?"

"Yes! That's why I was at Gear Station! It was a challenge I couldn't surpass so, now that I could, I want to aim for the next one!"

"And that's the League?"

"Yeah! But I guess some training would do me good..."

"... and if you become champion..."

"hm?"

"What would happen if they defeat you once you become the champion?"

"Well, that's an easy question!"

"?"

"I will get stronger and get the tittle back! It's a challenge and I'm up to it!"

Hi! Cabin 14, Iris's, is my favorite. I know you've already written headcanons about Iris being a mother and about Iris's kids (which I loved, by the way), but do you think you could write something else? Fun facts, maybe the relationship between themselves, or the relationship with other cabins, or the look of the cabin itself… I don't know! I would love to read any text about them!

friendship

iris’ kids and hades’ kids friendship as neighbors

i don’t know whose idea this was, but building hades’ cabin next to iris’ cabin was just perfect. they’re so different from each other yet they work so well together.

since cabins 13-20 were built, the iris’ children have been trying to keep a good relationship with their neighbors, cabin 13 and 15. they didn’t have any trouble with becoming friends with hypnos’ children, but the hades’ ones were a real challenge.

however, after they managed to get to know each other better, their friendship became one of the prettiest in the whole camp.

they take care of each other. is really normal to see some iris’ kids in cabin 13 in the morning to wake their friends up to have breakfast together. when some hades’ children sleep for too long and lose the time to get breakfast, the iris’ kids would try to cook something for them.

and when the hades’ kids start feeling more comfortable around cabin 14, they would try to impress them and show they care about what they say/do.

they’re always supporting each other; usually cabin 14 is not really into sports, but when they do participate you can be sure that there will be an hades’ child on their side to help them.

cabin 13 constantly having to listen to a speech about healthy sleeping schedules and how important it is to eat well, because cabin 14 gets worried when they don’t care about their wellbeing.

some hades’ kids realized that cabin 14 likes arts and crafts so they’d try to do handmade things for them, like bracelets and cards.

the iris’ kid always judging cabin 13 music taste but still listening to the songs they recommed to them.

cabin 13 liking to prank them by sending skeletons or spirits to their rooms to scare the iris’ kids.

the two of them having sleepovers together with the hypnos’ cabin, and eventually cabin 13 and 15 starting the biggest fight about who is cabin 14’s best friend.

they just have one of the cutest friendship in the world.
