XTRA [ RP STONT ] —  happy new year, unnie
Tumblr media
miny/n spend their first christmas together (with everyone else, of course)
WARNINGS ; fluff, crack, yujin being annoying, everyone is taken basically (except for chaewon)
Tumblr media
y/n wasn't attached to her phone.
there was once a time where she was, almost a year ago. she remembered those late nights, scrolling through each one of her burner accounts, watching as the snow fell against her chilled window. each word, each article seemed to invade her mind, and it felt like the world had given her the worst gift of all.
she hated herself back then, almost as much as she loved kim minji now.
"i don't understand why we have to host it in our dorms." y/n could hear kazuha complain, groaning as chaewon ushered them to clean faster.
y/n didn't mind, in all honesty. cleaning reminded her of minji, and how the girl would reprimand the youngest newjeans member to pick up after herself.
her girlfriend was so cute.
"you'd rather sneak yujin in?" yunjin raised an eyebrow, teasingly.
chaewon stopped in her tracks, letting her duster hang to the side. "you sneak yujin in?"
a chill ran down y/n's spine. if she found out kazuha had been sneaking yujin in from time to time, there was a greater chance that she would figure out she and minji were doing the same.
"no."
y/n could see kazuha glaring at the american in the golden retriever onesie. the kim already knew what was going through her best friends mind, the ballerina trying to recall any wrongdoing that yunjin had done.
nakamura kazuha was scary, exactly ahn yujin's type (though she'd never admit it).
"um," y/n cleared her throat. she was glad her leader had a short attention span. "when are they coming again?"
"yujin should be here soon." chaewon went back to dusting, the cheetah print of her onesie moving along with each sweep. "hanni just texted yunjin that their on their way. kkura-unnie's somewhere getting something with chaeyeon."
"i bet they ditched us."
y/n held back a sigh. it's not that she didn't want to hang out with her members, but she'd prefer if she hung out with her girlfriend one on one.
y/n missed her girlfriend.
"probably not." chaewon shook her head. "kkura-unnie said she's bringing a surprise for me, whatever that means."
the three younger girls look at each other.
sakura and chaeyeon were actually doing it. they were doing the plan.
"is she talking about-"
kazuha nodded. "i already helped yunjin-unnie to hang it."
yunjin gave a thumbs up, her body basically vibrating at the thought of her leader finally growing brain cells. she hoped sakura's plan worked this time around. if not, then perhaps chaewon was meant to be single for the rest of her life.
"hang what?"
the three looked at each other once more. they looked at chaewon.
she was so gonna kill all of them if she found out.
"what?"
on cue, the doorbell rang, the monitor lighting up to alert the girls of the presence of a human. a part of y/n wondered who conveniently appeared at that very second, but she knew it could only be one person.
y/n walked to the monitor, looking at an eye that seemed to be centimeters away from the camera. if she didn't know any better, she would've chalked it up to a twelve year old playing with their doorbell camera, but y/n knew that playful glint in the 'stranger's' eye, all of daejeon did.
she looked at kazuha, waiting for the taller girl to react.
kazuha, like always, giggled, a blush dusting her cheeks.
there it was.
pressing down on the button, kazuha spoke into the mic, her voice echoing her smile. "yujin!"
"hi." yujin smiled into the camera, stepping away. "you look pretty."
y/n rolled her eyes. the two always flirted so shamelessly in front of her. if kazuha wasn't so happy and yujin wasn't one of her best friends, she would've thrown up.
the kim spoke into the mic this time, watching as yujin smiled at the thought of her girlfriend.
"you can't see her through the camera."
the idol shrugged, "i don't need to. i already know she's gonna be pretty."
kazuha giggled once more, earning chaewon's attention who sighed at the interaction. she never understood how someone could act like that with another person.
"gross." y/n frowned. at times like these, she wished minji was near. "ka-chan'll open the door for you."
"okay."
although the door was was a mere meter away, kazuha still rushed as if her life depended on it. she hadn't seen yujin in a while (three days ago, to be exact), and she was sure she was losing her mind.
on the other side of the door, the idol could hear the door unlock at lightning speed. yujin's smile widened. the thought of seeing her girlfriend was making her impatient, her leg tapping against the pavement.
the door swung open, but before the cold breeze of winter could burst through, yujin launched herself onto kazuha, lifting her up with a strength that could only be from the adrenaline she felt.
y/n sighed, closing the door behind them. she watched as the two exchanged pleasantries, ignoring the kim that was standing behind them.
"hi, i'm here too." y/n raised an eyebrow at the couple. "i'm your best friend. am i just a block?"
"zuha's my girlfriend, though." yujin peaked around the corner, checking for the le sserafim leader before she planted a kiss on kazuha's cheek. "she's also your best friend."
y/n covered her eyes as kazuha wrapped her arms around yujin's neck.
"you're so sweet."
y/n wished minji was here.
the door opened once more, the maknae of le sserafim staring at y/n. the younger girl's cheeks were rosy, her eyes shifting around. y/n could tell she was hiding someone behind her.
it couldn't have been kim minju, sakura and chaeyeon were still on their way.
slowly, a familiar face peaked out from eunchae's shoulder, her cat-like eyes meeting the kim's. she could hear kazuha gasp behind her, yujin snickering.
chaewon was gonna kill someone tonight.
"you're kidding."
"stop leaving the door open!" y/n could hear chaewon's voice coming closer to the door, and there was no doubt she'd see kyujin's bright red cat onesie as soon as she saw what was happening. "the hot air is leavi-"
chaewon dropped the duster, a small clatter echoing the entry.
yujin bit her tongue once more.
"so, um... surprise! kyujin is spending her christmas with us!" eunchae grabbed her girlfriend's arm, shoving y/n out of the way as the two entered the house. quickly, the youngest engulfed chaewon in a hug. "thank you so much, i love you, you're the best unnie ever."
chaewon blinked.
"hold on-"
"you're the best, unnie!" eunchae signaled for kyujin to hurry, the idol rushing inside and bowing politely to all those she passed (yunjin stood in shock).
eunchae let go, chaewon's mind still reeling at the fact kyujin was most likely gonna stay in the dorms, overnight.
"yah!" eunchae scurried of at the sound of the leader's voice. "hong eunchae!"
y/n sighed once more, tapping the back of her phone as she closed the door. she watched as yujin entered the living room, arm wrapped around kazuha's waist. off to her left, kyujin and eunchae sat on the sofa, chaewon eyeing them, holding back her tongue.
the kim glanced at her phone, waiting for minji to text or to call, just wanting to know where her girlfriend was and if she was close.
"i miss my girlfriend." y/n spoke to no one, head hung low as the hood of her onesie covered her face.
yunjin, being in ear shot, patted the younger girl's back, watching as she sulked like a puppy. "she's on her way, y/n-ah."
y/n whined, and it took everything in yunjin to not tease the younger girl.
"i miss her now."
her and yujin were more alike than she'd like to admit.
yunjin rubbed her back, trying her best to reassure y/n.
"she's on her wa-"
"i miss her." she whined once more, hating the feeling of not having her girlfriend around her.
yunjin shook her head. she was glad that she had more security to not act like this, even if she did miss her girlfriend back in america. minji, who was at most five minutes away, was here in seoul, and y/n was getting more and more impatient by the minute.
it was cute, honestly, but yunjin now had to babysit a sad kim y/n and an angry kim chaewon while keeping an eye on kazuha and yujin.
she didn't understand how sakura did it, or how eunchae seemed the most responsible out of the four of them.
"unnie, where's minji?"
"she's on her way."
"i want my girlfriend now."
yunjin could only hope for minji's quick arrival.
Tumblr media
chaewon was going insane.
it wasn't because eunchae had dragged her girlfriend to the christmas gathering. in all honesty, she actually liked kyujin. the youngest member of nmixx was responsible, her thoughts seemingly organized, the perfect contrast to their eunchae. chaewon just liked putting up a front, so kyujin knew there were consequences if she broke their maknae's heart.
truthfully, kazuha and yujin were more of an issue. chaewon knew how yujin's mind worked, the ive leader was much like her. she liked having kazuha around, and urging her girlfriend to wreak havoc onto her, sakura and y/n (mostly her, though). chaewon could handle that, even if the glint that formed in kazuha's eyes scared her.
minji was no problem either. she was sweet, and thoughtful, always stopping by to say hello to her whenever they encountered each other in the corridors between breaks. she was a breath of fresh air for y/n, and, although chaewon would be outwardly livid, she wouldn't mind minji marrying y/n.
she could handle all of that usually, but this christmas had a glaring problem.
kim minju.
why did minju have to be so pretty?
the doorbell rang repeatedly, echoing throughout the house as each alert was cut off by the next. y/n, not bothering to check since only one person (read: haerin) did that, nearly ran to the door, opening it to face the newjeans girls in their respective onesies.
minji smiled sheepishly, her cheeks rosy from the cold of the december night. if y/n wasn't so upset, she would've kissed her right there.
the le sserafim member ushered the girl group in, closing the door behind her, ignoring minji's longing stare.
usually, y/n would jump into her arms, and minji would basically ascend at the feeling of being so close to her girlfriend. minji, like always, would cherish the feeling, like she cherished kim y/n's entire exsistance.
now, there was nothing but a frown.
"you took long." minji looked down, gripping onto the gift in her hand. "were you busy looking at other girls?"
the newjeans' leader's eyes widened, shaking her head. she'd be crazy to think of anyone but her girlfriend. come to think of it, minji hasn't thought of any other person like that since she liked y/n, not even her celebrity crush.
minji liked her kim more, anyway.
"minji?" hanni snickered. minji ran around the house like a lunatic for an hour or two. "she was late because-"
"shut up!" minji covered hanni's face, shoving her away lightly. even if they had been dating for a while now, the young idol still felt nervous. it was their first christmas together, after all.
y/n raised her eyebrow, scanning the other girls' faces.
hyein, like always, looked back at the kim, her eyes gleaming with excitement. y/n wondered if hyein had grown, or if y/n had merely shrunk. still, she knew that hyein would never rat out their leader. danielle was smiling at her, obviously trying to hold her tongue. her cheeks twitched from how hard she was smiling, looking between y/n and her girlfriend. y/n knew she wouldn't rat her out either.
and then, there was haerin.
"oh." haerin started. her face was void of emotion, but her eyes seemed to tease her leader. "minji-unnie couldn't find her perfume since hyein used it last. she said she needed to smell good for you."
minji glared at the girl. she knew that haerin would tell y/n, but the last part wasn't necessary.
it didn't matter, because minji could hear her girlfriend giggling beside her.
she looked over, letting go of hanni as y/n engulfed her in a hug. minji could feel herself smiling involuntarily, and a part of her still couldn't fathom how happy she always got around her girlfriend.
she looked down, her eyes meeting y/n's. minji's eyes fluttered closed, feeling y/n kiss her cheek.
"you're so cute, kim minji."
minji's face lit up, her heart beating loudly against her chest. the young idol, although seemingly shy when it came to affection, loved it every time.
still, she had some common sense, and considering she was at the le sserafim dorms, where chaewon constantly kept an eye on them...
"unnie!"
minji was scared of her girlfriend's leader, and she didn't understand how y/n wasn't.
as if chaewon had sensed something was wrong, she came over, looking between y/n and minji with suspiciously. she didn't understand how someone so short could hold so much authority with a single stare.
"no kissing in front of children." chaewon pointed a finger at minji, and the taller girl bowed slightly, muttering sorry's.
y/n rolled her eyes.
minji straightened back up, noticing there was another, more familiar looking girl to chaewon's left. hanni gasped at the sight, gripping onto danielle who hit her shoulder repeatedly.
"let them live, unnie." the mystery woman's voice seemed to calm down chaewon, and minji could feel the air finally enter her lungs once more.
"o-okay..."
y/n bit the side of her cheek. her leader was no better than her. in fact, chaewon was worse, cheeks bright red as she stared back into the other girl's eyes.
y/n felt minji lean over to her, her breath tickling her ear as they all entered the living room.
"is that the girl you told me about?"
y/n had told her on one of their many 7-eleven runs that chaewon was worse than the both of them combined when it came to a certain someone. minji never believed her, chaewon seemingly against anything that was romantic in some shape or form.
("she's just bitter because she can't pull.")
"minju-unnie?" y/n could see her leader's hand twitching, fighting off the urge to grab the actresses hand. she couldn't help but shake her head. "yeah."
minji believed her now.
"oh." minji put her present down next to the tree. she went over to chaewon, placing a hand on her shoulder. "good luck, sunbaenim."
"what?"
the le sserafim girls (minus chaewon) burst out laughing.
"stop laughing!" chaewon whined as minji scurried back to her girlfriend. "i don't get it!"
Tumblr media
kyujin wondered if she was going to die today.
she had her fair share of playing against some of the most competitive players she's ever met. haewon always made them play just dance together (even though kyujin had won every time they played). she was used to the screaming and shouting, but this was different.
jang kyujin feared for her life.
"you're a cheater!" chaewon had a stack of uno cards in her hands, pointing violently at the girl who tried to hide behind her maknae. "eunchae, your girlfriend is a cheater!"
eunchae couldn't help but laugh.
"you just suck at this, unnie."
chaeyeon shook her head. no matter how different chaewon looked on the outside, her habits never seemed to change.
"how did you manage to get an entire deck in one round?"
"shut it!" the leader whined, groaning as she leaned into a now flustered minju. "i was actually trying this time..."
as the shouting continued, sakura could only watch as they continued to fight. the members of newjeans (and yujin and minju) watched silently, obviously overwhelmed with the amount of accusations in the air.
("it's your fault you're bad." "you're not even playing!" "this is why you're single." "do you know how to play, unnie?" "don't insult me, jennifer.")
"are they always like this?" chaeyeon whispered into her girlfriend's ear, sakura sighing.
"you should see how bad it gets when its just us."
"ugh." chaewon could only take so much berating, finally letting kyujin off the hook and 'allowing' her to win. "fine, whatever. minji, go ahead."
minji nodded, looking around as chaewon, yujin, and yunjin stared at the cards in her hands.
"go minji-unnie!" hyein cheered suddenly, distracting everyone. "our official goddess visual."
minji shook her head. "seriously, hyein?"
hyein shrugged, and continued to cheer her member on. everyone knew that it was either her or yujin that was gonna win, both girls having four cards left versus yunjin and chaewon who had 10+ cards each.
"my votes on yujin." chaeyeon smiled at her former member.
she already knew minji was going to win, but it never hurt anyone to support the losing side.
"thanks, unnie." yujin beamed, her eyes shifting to kazuha. "i've got you on my side, right, babe?"
"well..." kazuha smiled innocently, yujin's face dropping. the ballerina began to scoot over to yunjin. "yunjin-unnie has no one cheering her on."
"babe," yunjin's eyes gleamed in excitement while yujin whined, saying that she 'needed her girl' to win. "please?"
"sorry." kazuha kissed her cheek, earning a gasp from chaewon (she chose to ignore the older girl's words. minju would calm her down eventually). "if it makes you feel better, y/n's doing it, too."
minji looked beside her, trying to reach y/n before she sat beside yunjin.
y/n was her girlfriend. minji wanted her girlfriend to cheer for her, and she wanted to win for her (and hyein too, she guessed).
"unnie?"
y/n looked over to her girlfriend, finding the young idol pouting lightly. minji, like always, looked adorable, her cheeks slightly red from how badly she wanted to win, and her eyes begging the older girl to sit next to her.
"don't look at me like that." y/n muttered, fighting back the urge to kiss her girlfriend. "you know yunjin-unnie's gonna cry later if she doesn't have anyone cheering for her."
"i will not!"
she was.
y/n smiled, grabbing minji's hand and squeezing it lightly. "next game, okay?"
minji nodded. "okay."
the game continued, kazuha and y/n helping yunjin with every chance they had. every so often, y/n would shoot minji a soft smile, and it was enough for minji to know that her girlfriend was cheering her on.
god, minji loved y/n so much.
"i wanna be like them." danielle sighed, resting her head on the cat-like girl's shoulder beside her.
haerin tensed up, hyein too busy to notice it this time around. hanni, however, wasn't.
"that's your cue, haerin." she leaned over, shoving the girl lightly as danielle continued to watch the game unfold.
haerin glared, staring into hanni's soul as if she was trying to suck it out with her eyes.
"damn, what's with the eyes, girl?"
Tumblr media
"this is stupid!"
chaewon whined, watching as she finished last. sakura laughed into her cup, her smile reaching her eyes as she stared into chaewon. chaeyeon shook her head, knowing her girlfriend was only angering the girl.
"you really suck at this, chaewon-ah." sakura teased, earning a laugh from yujin.
"shut up!" chaewon growled, calming down as she felt minju's hand rubbing her forearm. "i... i forgot the controls."
y/n shook her head, glancing at the rest of her members. she looked at the screen, watching the score board as she sat comfortably in third place, right behind a bot in second and sakura in first.
the idol leaned back into minji, feeling her girlfriend wrap her arms around her waist as y/n continued to sit comfortably on her lap.
"i'm doing good, right?"
minji nodded, kissing y/n's shoulder. she hadn't been paying attention, in all honesty. her, yujin and kyujin had been talking about something unimportant while the others played mario kart on sakura's switch. hyein and haerin were off watching kazuha's newly bought goldfish swim around in the kitchen, while danielle and yunjin were gossiping about their love life's.
minji felt at peace, knowing that her girlfriend was near her.
the young idol kissed y/n's cheek once more, earning a groan from hanni.
"stop making me feel single, bro." hanni muttered, rolling her eyes.
"that's on you, bro."
hanni stuck her tongue out, frowning as the next course started. it wasn't her fault she had a crush on her childhood best friend (but it was her fault for not saying anything to him).
"minji." yujin called out, her eyes laced in curiosity. "do you call y/n bro?"
minji shook her head. "no."
minji looked at the girl sitting on her lap, laser focused on beating hanni, chaewon, sakura and eunchae. minji had called y/n bro before they had started dating, but it never crossed her mind now that they have. perhaps her girlfriend would prefer it over 'unnie' or 'baby'.
"do you want me to call you bro, unnie?" minji asked.
y/n tensed up, glancing behind her as she mashed on the buttons harder.
("yah, kim y/n! don't break my controller!")
y/n hummed, clenching her jaw. the thought of minji calling her that upset her. she wasn't a 'bro'.
"do you want me to break up with you?" y/n asked sweetly, watching as she got passed by hanni. she cursed under her breath, exhaling out of her nose.
minji's eyes widened.
"no."
"then no." y/n muttered, listening to chaewon cry out in frustration as she overtook her.
minji nodded, ignoring the snickering that came from hanni beside her. hanni couldn't care less about the fight that almost broke out at that moment, not when she was currently in first place.
yujin, watching everything play down, turned to kazuha with a sweet smile.
"babe," the ive leader loved looking at her girlfriend. "can i call you-"
"finish that question and i'll break up with you."
hanni snickered once more.
"oh."
Tumblr media
chaewon liked to think that she knew minju like the back of her hand.
she knew the younger girl's favourite snacks, the way she liked her ramen cooked, how her eggs were boiled. chaewon knew minju's favorite colors to wear, and what brand of shoes were her go-to.
there was no way chaewon would lose this game this time, not when she knew everything about the love of her life.
"my turn." minju sat herself down comfortably between sakura and chaewon. the actress could feel everyone staring at her, waiting.
part of her wondered how dense chaewon truly was. she adored it most times, like she adored chaewon, but at times like this, she hoped that chaewon could see past her words. she hoped chaewon could see what she really meant and how she really felt.
minju cleared her throat, smiling nervously as she avoided chaewon's fiery gaze. "i have a crush on someone in this room, i've met the head of samsung before, and i've been offered to model overseas."
"definitely the first." chaewon said almost immediately. she would know if minju liked anyone. she would be crushed, but she would know.
the leader looked around, watching as everyone, even the younger girls, looked at her curiously. she didn't understand their stares, but at least chaewon knew that they would all lose. there was no way minju would like anyone without chaewon knowing.
the others nodded in agreement, muttering to themselves as the le sserafim leader watched from a distance.
"minju-unnie," eunchae started, her hand held tightly by kyujin. "it's samsung, right?"
minju could feel herself blush. it had been mere seconds before most of the girls had come to their conclusions. she had never been a good liar, chaewon had told her so.
"was it that obvious?" minju scratched her cheek.
chaewon paused.
"you like someone?" suddenly, the air felt like it was on fire, chaewon's lungs burning with every breath she took.
minju liked someone, someone that wasn't her. the girl that she had loved since they had first met didn't feel the same. kim minju didn't feel the same because she liked someone else.
chaewon wished she was someone else, whoever that was.
"you're blind, unnie." y/n shook her head, resting her cheek against minji's shoulder.
yujin raised an eyebrow. "you're one to talk."
y/n looked at yujin with a blank look. she knew all the ins and outs of the ive leader, the taller girl telling her everything that happened during her promotions, including things that kazuha didn't know about.
y/n smiled.
"ka-chan," y/n called out for her best friend. "did you know that yujin recently got asked out by-"
"no one!" yujin couldn't let kazuha find out, not when she knew how it would affect her. "no one. my eyes are only on you and for you, anyway."
kazuha looked at yujin, her eyes scanning her girlfriend up and down.
"okay." kazuha hummed, watching as yujin sighed in relief. "we'll talk about that later."
yujin pouted, trying her best to grab kazuha's hand and reassure her that nothing happened. perhaps ning yizhou had asked her out the week before, ambushing the taller girl as she tried her hardest to memorize her lines for sbs, but yujin immediately said no.
still, kazuha didn't care. at least not right now.
yujin shot minji a look, begging her to reason with her girlfriend just this once.
minji frowned. "unnie."
"she was being mean to me." y/n reasoned.
minji didn't budge, gesturing at kazuha who was now ignoring yujin. she watched as the taller girl tried to get her members attention, but to no avail.
sighing, y/n nodded.
"sorry, yujin." y/n frowned. "yujin reject her, anyway."
kazuha's lips twitched into a smile.
"really?"
yujin nodded as y/n buried herself into minji's arms.
yujin and kazuha were gross (but y/n knew that she and minji weren't any better).
Tumblr media
y/n watched as her leader followed kim minju around, tailing her like a puppy following it's owner.
beside her, minji shook her head, part of her cringing at the thought that she was (and still is) exactly like chaewon. she knew how it felt like, to feel like the girl that you were so in love with didn't love you back.
all minji could remember was how awful she had felt back then, when she stupidly thought that y/n had felt something for yujin.
she hoped that chaewon was smarter than her, that she could avoid the stress and heartbreak she felt at that moment.
minji sighed, grabbing her girlfriend's hand. "do you think she's ever gonna figure it out?"
y/n could only shrug, chaewon was as dense as her, if not worse. there was a chance that le sserafim's leader would only figure it out once it was too late.
the kim looked at sakura and chaeyeon, the two eyeing minju and chaewon closely.
there was no way they were going to let that happened.
"maybe later when kkura-unnie and chaeyeon-unnie force them under the mistletoe."
"someone should do that with haerin and dani." hanni hummed, nursing a red solo cup that held nothing but fruit punch. she rested her head on hyein. hanni didn't need to look, she already knew the contents stirring inside the younger girl's brain.
"not you, weirdo."
"why?" hyein whined. "i've behaved all night."
minji glared, pulling y/n into her arms. "you wouldn't let go of my girlfriend."
to minji, it was the truth. all night, she had to watch her girlfriend near hyein, hogging her girlfriend and holding her close, all the thing's that minji should've been doing.
in reality, it had only been one instance where hyein had done that, and it was when the two had been paired up (and won against yunjin and kyujin) in the whisper game.
"she's mine."
hyein shook her head. minji shouldn't have taken that drink from yujin. now, she was slightly tipsy, acting territorial.
minji felt a light nudge on her shoulder, turning her head to come face to face with y/n.
"baby, it's your turn." y/n whispered. minji nodded, taking the controller and arguing with kyujin over who was going to play kirby this time.
y/n turned to hyein, an apologetic smile on her face.
"don't worry about her too much, hyein-ah."
"i won't." hyein sighed, opening her phone as she started typing away. "i'll keep this in mind for the toast though."
"what toast?" y/n tilted her head.
"when you guys get married?"
y/n felt herself flush, her face turning bright red.
"what?"
"what?"
as if nothing happened, hyein went back to texting on her phone. she ignored the curious stare from y/n, wondering what hyein meant with the toast.
hyein was always weird, but y/n couldn't help but feel giddy at the thought of minji proposing to her.
Tumblr media
y/n squinted at the lamp sitting on her desk, illuminating the room with its bright light.
the others had all been asleep in the living room, two queen sized, inflatable mattresses taking up the entire space. it was suffocating, in all honesty. no matter how hard y/n tried to sleep (or how close she tried to get to minji), it was nearly impossible.
she needed to get out of there.
"chaewon-sunbaenim said i'm not allowed in your room." minji hesitated, feeling her girlfriend tug her inside.
"it's my room." y/n whispered back, closing the door behind her as minji looked around. the dim light made her face glow in the dark, like an angel that had descended from heaven. "it's not like you haven't been in here before."
minji nodded, ignoring the gnawing fact that she had only been inside when chaewon was out.
"did you have fun?" y/n asked. "i know unnie can be a bit over protective but-"
"i did." minji smiled.
it didn't matter if she was in the middle of nowhere. as long as minji stood next to y/n, the young idol would always enjoy her time.
kim y/n was her joy, and that would never change.
"good." y/n sighed in relief. "i'm glad."
minji's eyes gleamed in the dim light of the lamp shade, her irises trained on the girl in front of her. she felt herself scratching the side of her thumb, peeling off the skin. all minji's emotions seemed to bubble up in her chest.
this was it.
"it's been a year." minji had rehearsed this, just like she had rehearsed everything.
"yeah." y/n nodded, watching minji squirm in her bear onesie. "it went by so fast."
minji had snuck the present in here somewhere. she had hid it amidst the ruckus that was the second round of uno (kazuha, y/n, chaeyeon, minju and haerin). she could see it from where she was standing, the bag sitting on her girlfriend's desk.
minji kissed her, tasting the same vanilla lipgloss that the older girl had always worn, the one that shimmered against the light as they laid on her bed.
this was it. minji couldn't mess up now.
"i love you so much." but this wasn't part of what she practiced. she wasn't supposed to be overwhelmed like this. minji didn't understand why she always felt a surge of emotions, of love next to the older girl.
it terrified her, but somehow, she was okay with it.
"why are you crying?" y/n asked, minji relishing the touch of the older girl's fingertips as she wiped her tears away.
"i don't know." minji muttered, smiling slightly as y/n captured her lips once more. the young idol sighed. "sometimes, i feel horrible for the way i treated you."
y/n shook her head, "i treated you worse."
looking down, minji remembered all the times that y/n had ignored her. she remembered all the times that the older girl had sneered, rolling her eyes and ignoring the girl.
but minji had also remembered everything else, like how y/n looked at her that day, when min heejin had berated the older girl.
she was nothing like minji, and although minji loved that about her, it had broke y/n that day.
minji had no excuse, and she knew that from the beginning.
"still." the young idol shook her head, looking down at her feet. she didn't know if it was the singular shot that yujin had made her take or the guilt, but minji felt it in her soul. "yours was valid, but i had nothing to go on. i just hated you to hate you."
she loved y/n more than she had hated her, and now, the thought of hating the love of her life gnawed her down, especially as the rings sat on her girlfriend's desk.
"even if you did, that doesn't matter anymore." y/n said, kissing minji's forehead. "right now, you love me, and i love you. i forgive you, kim minji. i always will."
all that ever mattered to minji was y/n.
y/n's eyes looked into her own, her irises shining, swirling in happiness and love. minji didn't understand how one person could make her so happy, just like y/n didn't understand how one person could make her feel like she was capable of doing something right.
this was it.
the younger girl nodded, grabbing bag on the table. she handed the bag to y/n, praying that her hands didn't tremble.
"i, um," minji could see the velvet boxes as she looked down. "i got you something."
"what?" y/n frowned. "minji, i thought we agreed that we were only going to get one present. you said-"
"i lied."
y/n wanted to refuse. minji had always treated her too kindly, giving her gifts left and right, as if she had all the money in the world. although the older idol never felt indebted to her, she wished minji had thought about herself more.
but the older girl couldn't disappoint minji.
slowly, she opened the bag, reaching for the piece of paper, folded neatly with a heart sticker holding it closed.
y/n couldn't help but smile.
minji and her stickers.
the kim opened the letter, her heart beating out of her chest. she wondered if the girls outside could hear it from where she stood, or if minji, standing in all her beauty, could hear it too.
y/n shook her head, taking a deep breath as she began to read.
unnie, i'm not good with words, but i don't know how else to express this. i love you so much. whether you're a kim or not, whether you're mine or not, i'll always try my hardest to make you smile. i hope you carry this ring and know that it's a piece of me. i hope that when you look at it, you'll be reminded of all my love, and not who i was before. i promise to love you for as long as i can. - kim minji.
y/n could feel the air escaping from her lungs.
she glanced at minji, grabbing a singular box with her initials engraved on it. she opened it, the gold shining into her eyes.
it was simple, just how she liked it, but it was intricate enough to be special.
y/n loved it, just how she loved minji.
"are these...?"
promise rings. y/n didn't have to finish her sentence for minji to understand.
"yes." minji whispered, her voice slightly shaking. "they are."
y/n threw her arms around her girlfriend, tears streaming down her face as she felt the younger girl pull her impossibly closer.
"i love you." y/n had never felt it more in that moment.
"i love you too." minji smiled.
y/n pulled back, watching as minji grabbed the box in her hand, taking the ring and placing it onto the older girl's hand.
"i promise to always love you."
minji had never lied to y/n in her life, and she wasn't going to start now.
"i promise to always love you too."
y/n wasn't honest from the start, but she knew this time it was different. y/n could feel it in her heart.
minji leaned in this time, feeling the comfort that was her girlfriend. her mouth placed briefly but firmly against the older girl's brought her nothing but happiness.
this was it.
minji didn't mess up.
"happy new year, unnie." minji muttered against her mouth. "thank you for smiling at me."
"happy new year." y/n smiled, placing another soft kiss on minji's lips. "thank you for being the reason for my smile."

Kate was more than nervous as she approached your door, 15 minutes earlier than she told you  she'd be here to pick you up. Her palms were sweaty and her mind running with "please let this be the perfect day!". It took a lot of confidence for the archer to finally ask you out, after learning just how much you loved Japanese food and comics, she planned the perfect date.
A loud knock on your door alerted you that your date was early but you expected that and you thought it was rather sweet. You opened the door and smiled, "you're early" you greeted the brunette.
"I'm sorry, if you're not ready, I am happy to wait" Kate replied trying her best to kind her nerves. "Oh no, I'm ready, lets go!" you smiled, grabbing your purse and pulling the door closed behind you. Kate's growing smile made you blush at just how adorable she was, it was no secret that you both had had an eye on each other but of course you were both too nervous to act on it.
"What's the plan bishop?" you asked, linking your arm around Kate's. She blushed but acted normal, "I thought we could go to the arcade first then to this bakery I know of, I think you'll like it! Then after that, if you aren't bored of me yet, I thought we could go to the comic book shop" Kate replied with confidence. You chuckled, "I doubt I'll get bored of you Katie! But I do hope you're not a sore loser because I am going to kick your butt at these arcade games" you teased.
"Wanna bet on it?" Kate looked at you with a raised brow.
"Of course! If I win, you have to win the giant Lucario plushie that I've been saving my tickets for!" you replied with a playful smirk!
"Deal! And if I win, I get to take you on another date on Friday night" Kate said with a boost of confidence in her tone.
"Deal!" you shook her hand gently, trying to hide the fact you were blushing.
The arcade was one of your favorite places to go, Kate was more into playing video games online than coming to an arcade, but this wasn't the first time you both spent a few hours here. Playing a couple of rounds of hoops first, of course Kate won at that game, and she was sure to boost her win!
Next was a ride on motorcycle racing game, which to the proud smile on your face, you won! You had the advantage of Kate being somebody who walked around the city rather than driving. Then it was off for a couple of rounds at the air hockey table, it was a close game full of giggles and playful insults, but you won at that by 1 point.
The afternoon followed with a one-on-one match on Street Fighter, an army shooting game, taking in turns on Pac-Man, playing multiple other games before ending the friendly competition with Dance Dance Revolution. Unfortunately for Kate, she lost, making you the winner of the bid.
"You look a little too happy with that Lucario plushie" Kate playfully rolled her eyes as you teasingly snuggled the large stuffed toy while walking to the next stop on your date. Kate didn't even get close to enough tickets to win the plushie, so you kindly donated your saved tickets and the ones you had won today. "Look at him! He's adorable!" You pouted at her before snuggling into him a little harder. Kate chuckled, shaking her head, "I hope you're hungry because we're here!" she replied.
"Oh my god!" you gasp, "I've heard of this place online but I haven't had a chance to check it out!" you added with a smile. The small traditional Japanese bakery just opened up a few months ago and you've been dying to try the delicious foods that you saw advertised on their Instagram page.
"I remember you talking to Yelena about it" Kate smiled softly, "I booked us a table" she added.
"A table, at a bakery?" you cocked a brow, your cheeks red with blush. You found it adorable that Kate had booked a table for you both even though booking wasn't necessary.
"Well I really didn't want to bring you here and it be too busy so I wanted to be sure you could really enjoy yourself" Kate explained, hiding her own blushing cheeks with a smile.
"That was pretty smart thinking! I'm starving!"
Kate chuckled before opening the door for you, "after you" she gestured with her hand for you to go walk in first.
The bakery welcomed you with the smell of freshly baked goods and the smiles of the workers as they greeted you and walked you to the booked table Kate made. "All of this looks amazing!" Your eyes scanned the menu unsure of what you wanted to try.
"Order whatever you like, don't be scared" Kate looked up from the menu at you, "I'm paying" she added. "Oh Katie! No!! You already paid for all the games we played!" you replied, shaking your head. Kate ignored your reply and looked back down at the menu, not taking no for an answer.
"Fine, but you find any comics at the comic store, I am buying them for you!" you cocked a brow at her once more before your eyes went back down onto the menu. Silence was shared between you both as you looked over what you wanted to eat, after a few moments you finally settled on three different things to try and so did Kate.
After the bakery, both you and Kate wandered to the comic bookstore only a few blocks away with your stomachs full and red blushing cheeks, slightly to scared to reach for each other's hand. "Thank you for lunch Katie!" you broke the shortly lived silence between the two of you. Kate turned to you and smiled softly, "it's nothing" she replied.
Once at the comic book store, you couldn't help but really take notice of the type of comics that Kate was picking up, which ones she carried around the store with her and the ones she silently hummed and arred at before putting it back.
"Look Katie! It's you!" You held up at comic with an illustration of Kate on the cover, "I'm getting this one!" you added with a cheeky smile on your lips. Kate just chuckled and shook her head before making her way to the counter to pay. "Hey!" you playfully slapped her hand away from her purse as she went to pull out her bank card, "I said I was paying" you reminded her, your hand reaching for your purse.
The date went even longer after the visit to the comic book store, Kate took you for a walk through central park, stopping for ice cream before walking you home. "Do you want to stay and watch a movie or something?" you asked as the two of you came to a stop at your apartment door. "I would love too but I have to get home to Lucky, it's dinner time for him" Kate replied with another playful eyeroll.
"Well, in the case" you paused, smiling softly as you took a step closer to Kate, dropping your new plushie to the floor. "Thank you for today, I had a really lovely time" you added, your eyes dropping to her lips. You gently ran your tongue over your lips before slowly pressing them against Kate's, kissing her softly but deeply. The dark haired girl kissed you back without hesitation, her hands found your hips and pulled you closer into her. You smiled against her lips, "I'll see you Friday, right?" you asked as you pulled away.
"But I didn't win?" Kate questioned with a slightly confused look.
"To me you did" you smiled softly at the blue eyed girl before unlocking your front door, "I'll see you Friday at 7 then" Kate replied, trying to hide her growing smile.

God I just read the wolf hybrt yujin and twas fucking hot wtf, btw wondering if u can make wony version of it? Add little flavor and some spice on it? 🧂🌶️ Thanks 🧏
Hi sweetie!!! Sorry for the long wait, I was thinking of this and realized that wony would never be a wolf hybrid... They are too aggressive and on the nose with it. She'd definitely be a panther hybrid mistaken for a kitty, though...
(about the flavor and spice... I don't know what you meant by that, luv 🤠 but here we go)
Like imagine her being so small and cute when you two were kids, always so playful and fun but overall very jealous in a subtle way. You always thought it was because as a cat they are more individualistic and in a way it was just... x10.
Growing up she got more reserved to others but always very warm to you and your parents. Much taller than cat hybrids and her fangs and claws were bigger and stronger too, so imagine something else...
She got so stressed with the sudden change in routine with you two going to college and stuff that it literally trigged her first rut a day before the two of you were separating. And by separating I mean sleeping in different dorms only.
"Are you going to leave me for someone else?" She trapped you against the door of your room, lowly purring but it made you tremble, the things in the room vibrating with how powerful it felt.
"wony..." You tried to remove yourself from her grip but she was too strong. She smelled sweet and intoxicating. "of course not baby..." You felt her member grind against your stomach, big and warm.
"Prove it to me then" She hissed on your ear. "You are mine. Prove it" She let go of your hands and crossed her arms over her chest, lifting one eyebrow.
You didn't know what to do, her defying eyes scaring you, turning you on. You could see the outline of her cock through her pants and oh, you wanted it in your mouth. Your fumbled a bit with her zipper until you could open it, getting on your knees and giving it a good lick to it's tip. She rolled her eyes, unconsciously grabbing the back of your hair to pull you into her to fit her whole length inside your mouth.
You tried to push her by the thighs but all you could feel was the wetness seeping through your panties, how every time she blindly thrusted inside your mouth you felt more and more aroused. She was fucking your face so good it was maddening how you've never experienced that before, you unconsciously started to pull her into you by the hips. You came together, her seed spilling in the back of your throat as you squirted on your panties, wetting the floor, shaking so hard you blacked out.
When you realized she was already easing her whole cock in your tight cunt, laying you on the ground. She had ripped your clothes and you didn't even see it happening, moaning loudly when you felt the sudden stretch. She bit your collarbone, licking your lips to passionately pull your hips to hers, growling.
You started crying for more, locking your ankles behind her back, her beautiful face contorting as your cunt throbbed on her dick.
"wony please come inside, please" you pleaded and she smiled slamming even harder, making her life's mission to cum inside you over and over again.
"my pretty little cock sleeve" she purred on your ear. "I'll make sure to give you my pups" she closed her eyes, clawing at your hips. It hurt but you wouldn't complain. She was feeling like that because of you, it was only fair you'd let her take it out on you.
She locked your hands over your head with one hand, still fucking you hard. Her seed felt so good on your womb it made you cum again; as your orgasm washed over you she didn't even wait for you to open your eyes again, turning you to be in all fours as she kept the in and out pace, her cock reaching even deeper. How come did she have so much stamina? Fuck.
"wony please, enough" you cried, face scratching down on the cold floor.
"it's enough when I tell you it is" she said through gritted teeth, pulling you by the hair to bite your back and neck.
She kept that for god knows how much time, spilling inside of you a number or times as well. You were already in and out of consciousness, your cunt red and puffy and so full it was leaking from your hole.
She put you in all fours again, cumming one last time but on your back, purring loudly as she did so. Her cheeks red and her eyes focusing on watching your body spasming because of her, contorting for her.
"I bet you won't ever try to leave me now..." She hugged you close, licking you. Cleaning you with her tongue, careful not to hurt you with it's spikes.
"I won't wony, I swear..." You weakly said, falling asleep as she kept licking you and purring against your skin.

It all started with a road trip.
Nothing new, nothing special. Just a group of three teenagers driving halfway across the country to see their favorite musicians live in Nashville, Tennessee. It was supposed to be an amazing, unforgettable trip for the trio, a way to make timeless memories with their closest friends, make new ones and grow as people.
Of course, we all know how this ends.
"I am sick of this stupid freakin' house! I hate it here! I never get to do anything!" Loud stomps storm up the stairs as if they're trying to knock the whole house down, "I hate this family, and I hate you! You are the worst dad in the whole stupid universe!"
The bedroom door slams loudly, followed by angry yells and things being thrown as Thomas flinches, staring up the stairs.
His daughter's words sting as they ring in his head, and he swears he can almost feel his heart snapping in two.
"She doesn't mean it, hun, she's just angry..." You seem to read his mind once again, a gentle hand rubbing his back as you see his entire demeanor deflate before your very eyes, "Just give her some time. She'll come around."
He sighs, letting his head hang. He had always been close with Mariella, ever since she had been born. He was the one she'd fall asleep with, the one she'd stop crying for, and as soon as she could walk he was the one she'd follow around the house.
He loves his son as well, of course, his twins are his angels, but Nicholas was a Mama's boy through and through, and while they weren't distant by any means, Mari had always been much closer to her father.
With her knack for sewing and love of rock, the two of them got along very well, even despite their fair share of disagreements.
Maybe their closeness was why she assumed he'd say yes and let her run off 13 hours away from home with her two best friends for a concert.
But the thought of his sixteen year old daughter being that far away from home with two other sixteen year olds he didn't know all that well practically gave him a heart attack.
It didn't seem to matter now, though, given that he was sure the ache in his chest was far worse than any heart attack could be.
She doesn't come out of her room for the rest of the night, blasting her music loudly in some sort of retaliation against the two of you. It takes Hoyt beating on the door well past ten pm to get her to finally turn it down so everyone could get some rest.
"That girl is such a handful," You huff, closing your book and setting it on the side table, "She's got too much of you in her, that's for sure."
Thomas doesn't seem to react to your playful jab, turned on his side and away from you in silence.
"...Thomas?" You lean over, almost assuming he's asleep.
He sighs, staring at the wall intently, a hurt look plastered on his face.
"Oh, Tommy, come on now, you know she didn't mean it." You place a comforting hand on his side, slowly moving it up and down, "She's a teenager, all teenagers hate their parents."
He grumbles, turning towards the bed more.
You sigh, wrapping your arm around him and trying to pull him to turn towards you, "Come on, come here."
He rolls over with ease, settling into your side with a familiar comfort as he rests his head on your chest.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Thomas. She's just angry. At you, at me, at the world. It's tough being a teenager, you know." You run your hand through his hair as he nods, "You've gotta remember, hun, she's experiencing a lot of new emotions for the very first time. To her, being told she can't go off with her friends on a road trip is the worst thing in the world because she's never experienced anything worse. And that's a good thing. She has a good life, and she knows that. Just give her some time. She'll come around."
He sighs, nodding and seeming to relax as you explain it to him.
"...And you're not a terrible father. You're an amazing one, actually. Even if she doesn't realize it now, one day she will. Just keep doing what you're doing, love. It'll get better, I promise."
He closes his eyes, burying his face in your chest as he huffs a little, his eyes tearing up at your words.
His children are his greatest accomplishment, and he's always put 110% effort in to give them the best lives possible, and he always will. The mere thought of Mariella hating him made his heart shatter with overwhelming emotions, and hearing you tell him that he's a good father simply sends it into overdrive as he quietly sobs into your shirt.
"It's okay, Tommy, I've got you." You lay your head against his as he cries, working through everything that had happened today.
And, of course, you're right. It takes three days and a lot of the silent treatment from his daughters end, but soon enough she comes back to her father, apologizing for the things she said and did. He forgives her, to no one's surprise. In fact, you're quite sure he'd forgive her for shooting him in the leg for shits and giggles.
In the end, everything works out for the best. Her friends promise to tell her everything and take plenty of pictures to share when they get back.
That is, if they get back.
After all, two teenagers, going on the road all alone?
Well, we all know how that ends.

She wanted to listen intently about Sammie and his father. She did. But God help her, she couldn't shake the onset dread that this would be the last she ever saw of Ben.jamin Tall.madge.
The serendipity of his visit home from Connecticut had been snuffed out by the news that he was enlisting in Washing.ton's army, and while Katherine knew this was right, that the men of this country were morally obligated to stand up against tyranny, she couldn't bear to picture Ben as one of the many casualties that was sure to come.
Growing up, Katherine had always chased after her cousin, Ca.leb, and his best friends, Wood.hull, Se.lah St.rong, and the Tall.madge brothers, but over the latter years she's grown closer with Ben even if many of their interactions were nostalgically ribbing each other and seeing who could get on the other's nerves more.
He was a good friend. Hell, he was like family. Back when her mother was still alive, the woman would never let him leave without a full stomach and a pie to take home to his father.
Upon his completion of college, Katherine was so thrilled to have him back, only to quickly lose him again to his new teaching position in Wethersfield. It was then that she realized her feelings for him were more than just platonic, more than just the whimsical fancies of a budding young woman.
Oh, how terribly she'd missed him, corresponding with him constantly to keep him updated on the goings on of Set.auket. Now she shuddered to think of his dangerous address change and the thought of never seeing his bright eyes and lopsided smile again.
That's when she'd blurted out the question, catching both him and herself off guard.
"What?"
Not wanting to appear sheepish, Katherine instead did her best to play coy, her foot nudging his in return as she offered as nonchalant a shrug as she could manage.
Tumblr media
"Well, would you?"
"Kitty, I..."
"I'm serious, Ben."
He was red-faced and at a loss for words as he set aside the apple he'd been snacking on, "Are you honestly asking me that now? Here, in your uncle's cabin?"
With a sigh and another shrug, Katherine shook her head, "When else am I supposed to ask? You'll be gone tomorrow."
And maybe forever.
Still trying to appear anything but self-conscious, she offered him a playful little smirk, leaning toward him and bumping her shoulder into his, "Would it be so outlandish, you and me? We've known each other forever, all our perks and quirks, yeah?"
Here, she slid her hand over his, grazing over his fingers as if to memorize their topography.
"Might be the only chance we get...and being with you...it would be as easy as breathing."

The Dark Doll-A Deltarune Theory/Narrative
Kris and Dess stood in front of the imposing double doors of the strange bunker deep in the forest. It was hard for Kris to not feel nervous, especially considering that it was the middle of the night, but seeing Dess be so carefree, whistling while spinning the rusty key-ring around her finger certainly put them at ease. They hadn't brought Asriel or Noelle; those buzzkills would never let them do something this exciting! "All right, enough admiring the fine handiwork of this door. You ready to go in, Kris?" Dess said, while moving to the door's lock. "Hm, if you are," was Kris's only response, a subtle-yet-playful jab that only their closest friends would pick up on.
As the giant doors creaked open and the pair made their way inside, the quiet noise that was only barely perceptible from outside grew louder, becoming the only thing to fill their senses in the darkness of this place. "Yeesh, can it GET any darker in here?!" Dess whipped out her cell phone to illuminate the stairs ahead of them, but even that light was soon swallowed up as they carefully proceeded into the seemingly infinite dark and the ever growing drone that gnawed at their courage to continue.
Dess yelped as she stumbled and fell onto the now suddenly level ground. "You okay, Dess?" Kris called out a bit too loudly, even though she couldn't have been more than a few feet ahead of them. "Ugh, yeah, but I think we finally found something!" Dess clawed up and dusted herself off, and started walking forward with her arms outstretched, feeling around for anything that might serve as a souvenir of this adventure, which Kris was also doing, but searching around the edges of the room they found themself in. Soon, Dess called out that she'd found something and Kris made their way over to her voice, "What is it?" "Dunno... it's rumbling a lot... it has a lot of tubes coming out of it... feels like there's some sort of gas coming out the top, but it's not hot at all..." Dess tried and failed to describe what she was feeling, which fostered an anxiety in Kris. "Uh, let's try not to take whatever that thing is, okay?" Kris muttered as they stepped back from Dess towards the stairs. "Y-yeah, you're probably right," Dess also stepped back, but both of them failed to notice a new sound joining the ubiquitous drone of this place.
Cracking. Splitting. Scratching. The roar of hundreds of tons of concrete and steel coming apart at the seams under the pair's feet. Kris immediately started running towards the stairs once they felt the ground shake, their building anxiety suddenly transformed into full on panic. They thought they heard Dess call their name as they stumbled on their way up the stairs, but they never looked back, and soon the rumbling died down as they saw the light of the moon as a bright pin-prick ahead of them. However, something new took their attention as strange, unreadable symbols, as well as the meaning of those alien words flowed into their mind.
TAKE THE DOLL, AND NAME IT
PULL DARK FROM IT LIKE LIFEBLOOD
AND AGAIN FROM THE EARTH
YET ALIGHTED IN RETURN
TILL HER EYES ARE CLOUDED IN FEAR
FREE THE NIGHTMARE
FREE THE GIRL
Sure enough, as Kris reached the top of the stairs, there was a large, featureless doll sitting at the top of the final step, the only thing of interest about it being a red, heart shaped patch in the center of its chest. Kris grabbed the doll and stood outside the bunker, waiting in disbelief for Dess to emerge from the darkness.
Yet she never did. Panicking once again, Kris ran to the one person who they could trust above anyone else, their brother Asriel. He was staying over at Noelle's house to help out with something or another, which only added to Kris' panic. How would they explain this to Dess' parents, or Noelle? They wouldn't. They would get Asriel's help and save Dess before things got out of control. So, with this plan renewing their courage, Kris made their way through the forest and Hometown to the Holiday household.
Asriel answered the knocking at the door to see his beloved younger sibling with an expression that he'd never seen them wear before, not their typical boredom or their occasional mischievous smirk, but an expression of deathly seriousness with eyes that seemed to be looking far past Asriel. Noelle was still awake, laying on the couch and listening to Kris' story, though it seemed that they didn't recognize her presence until she exclaimed in horror when Kris told them about the floor of the bunker seemingly crumbling beneath Dess' feet. "W-what?! She's n-not... I-is she?" Noelle looked like a ghost, and her voice was shaking like she was as cold as the grave. After a momentary surprise of realizing that Noelle was in the room, Kris said, "I... Don't think so, but we have to make sure the town doesn't go crazy over something they can't control, right?" "R-right! We'll find Dess before the town realizes something bad happened to her, r-right? Wait, I have an idea! Kris, you know which window leads to Dess' room, right?" Kris nodded, and with some sort of mutual understanding went different ways. Asriel was completely in shock, and his mind was going a mile a minute, he couldn't believe that something had happened to Dess, he didn't know what Kris and Noelle were doing, and he felt like he needed the full story from Kris before he made any decisions. For now, he simply watched as Kris and Noelle took things out of December's room to stage her disappearance as a runaway situation. As the Dreemurrs left for their own home, Noelle seemed so anxious that she might pass out, and Kris still seemed incredibly haunted by something.
In the morning, Kris finished their story about what happened to Dess, about the doll and the mysterious message that they received. "And... You're sure you didn't hallucinate this?" As unbelievable as all this seemed, there was something in the way that Kris told this story with so much grief that Asriel couldn't help but believe them, and a solemn nod is all he received to his question. "W-well, how are we supposed to 'pull darkness' from the earth, a-and how are we supposed to bring light to that darkness after the fact?" Asriel started to wonder if playing into this message was worth it or if he should just bring it to the police, maybe Dess was just trapped under rubble in the bunker- "First things first, we need to give this doll a 'name,' some sort of identity that'll be useful to us. Maybe, since we got some kind of instructions about how to create the darkness, the doll can help us bring the light?" Kris thought for a few moments before leaning close to the doll and whispering into it, telling it of its role, of how important it was to bring light to the darkness, of the heroes it would accompany on this mission of the gravest importance, a story filled with the hopes and dreams of the one telling it. After finishing their whispered story, they handed the doll to Asriel, "I think you should give it its proper name, you're way better at that stuff than me." Asriel couldn't tell if Kris was being genuine or if they were jabbing at Asriel's creativity like the rest of his friends, but either way, this responsibility had been given to him. However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't think of a name that he liked at all, due in no small part to the doll's almost complete lack of identifying features, "Hm, if only... Hey, Kris, can I see your horns?" Kris obliged, and now Asriel seemed to be genuinely considering something, "Red... I think Ralsei or something would sound good!" Kris couldn't help but chuckle about how similar that was to Asriel's name but chose not to say anything and took the doll back, being reminded of the truly dire straits that the both of them were in.
"So, second thing second, how do you think we're supposed to 'pull darkness' from this thing?" Kris thought for a moment before saying, "It did say to do it like we were drawing the lifeblood from it, so maybe we just stab it in the heart?" Asriel wasn't convinced by this Occam's Razor approach, however, saying, "And what if that isn't how you do it and you destroy our only means of saving Dess?" Kris bristled at this critique, and pushed off their bed, and into the hallway, "Unless you have a better idea, I'm going to try mine, all right?" They soon returned with a knife from the kitchen, and Asriel, failing to come up with a counter argument in this short time, sighed and sat back to see how this would go. Despite their belief in the simple solution, Kris too believed on some level that more than a simple stab was needed to achieve this feat, they needed focus. Tightening their grip on the knife, Kris thought of what they needed to do to save Dess, thought of how this was their mistake that they needed to fix. They would do anything to right this wrong, no matter what it took, no matter how long it took, no matter who would happen to get hurt because of them. Dess was trapped wherever she was because Kris didn't even think to reach for her hand that must have been extended for them, and Kris was going to reach out their own hand into the dark, until it found her.

Fear Me Not - Sodo
Summary: Sometimes the things we fear are silly. Other times is just something we can't help when faced alone - and other times we need a new perspective on our fears. Lily couldn't stand the sight in front of her but was it because he was hurt or because it was just fear? Maybe she just needs a reality check.
Phobia: Hemophobia: Blood phobia is an extremely irrational fear of blood
Pairing: Sodo/Dewdrop x Lily (oc)

She knew she was living the dream. A dream that every girl obsessed with the band had. The opportunity - the fantasy of being able to interact or better yet...be with one of the ghouls. She didn't take it for granted; hell half the time she wondered if she'd wake up and find herself back in her bed in her one-bedroom apartment and find that all the interactions she had....all the rituals she'd been to where she'd caught the attention of her obsession was nothing but a little dream she had. But when she opened her eyes to find the dark walls around her plastered with band posters, horror movie memorabilia, and clothes tossed on the floor it made the unbelievable reality that much clearer that no - she...a nobody, a fan of the band, and just a regular girl was, indeed, in a room that was slowly growing familiar to her. That was the realization that it wasn't her room but Dew's that she was looking at created a smirk pulled at her lips.
She didn't kid herself when she thought she was one lucky bitch to be in this place right now. It wasn't like they let just anybody into the Abbey after all and she wasn't even part of the Clergy officially. But she was only here because of Dew. Well, perhaps most of it was part of Dew. She imagined from her impressionable personality she'd left on the band she'd have ended up within the gates of the Abbey anyway. Not to toot her own horn or anything.
She rested on her stomach with her face buried in the familiar scent of Dew's pillow. Like a spice cabinet, husky teakwood, and something entirely Fire ghoul. The weight of another body pressing against her back was ungodly warm and she could already feel the sweat on her body even beneath the covers - both from the night before and right now from how absolutely hot Dewdrop's body temperature was. Sleeping with him was like sleeping next to a heater beneath a thick comforter. But she should find it in herself to move; not when she felt Dew's body draped across her back; his face pressed into her shoulder blades as he slept- using her as a body pillow more than the pillows themselves that were on the bed. She was stuck.
But she didn't want to be anywhere else...well not until she absolutely couldn't stand the heat. Her body was a bit sore too from their late-night activities so having his warmth as hot as it was right now was like a heat compression to her sore spots.
She found her phone on the floor just out of arms reach so she tried her best to reach as far as she could to try and grab it. But the more she stretched the more she ended up pulling herself off the bed in an attempt to get it and well...she fell. Right onto the floor with Dew's body rolling down with her.
"What the fuck woman!" the fire ghoul yelped as he was jostled awake unkindly from his fall.
Lily couldn't help but laugh out loud at the expression on his face which received her a glare in return. "Good morning sunshine."
"Bitch." Dew spat
"Man whore." Lily quipped back
Dew stared down at her a long moment until she thought he was seriously offended but then he suddenly moved; fingers digging into her sides causing her to squeal in laughter until she couldn't breathe and then she was being yanked by her hips further below the fire ghoul; his face dipping low to press a playful nip to her neck.
"Dewdrop~" she whined smacking at his shoulder. "Dick move!"
"I have a dick." he grinned all bared fangs at her. "And I know how to use it too."
"Ugh! Fucking manwhore!" Lily snorted shoving him back so that she could sit up but she was still smiling.
Dew sat up too and pulled her to straddle his lap; not caring that they were naked as he held her close to him; basking in her warmth and soft skin as he studied her features. Despite their firey personalities, they went well together. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed her until he didn't see her in the crowd during his tour.
"What's that look for?" Lily asked rubbing at his cheeks; admiring his angular features.
"Miss you." Dew confessed as he studied her - a sense of openness about his gaze as he let her know that he truly had left kind of lost without her.
"Missed seeing you in the crowd on tour." he added as Lily's eyes softened and she combed her fingers through his long strands of silky hair making sure to pay attention to his scalp as she scraped her nails there.
"Shit fire breath I missed you too. If I could have gotten the money to go I would have." Lily stated looking at him apologetically.
"Shit woman how many times have I told you, you could have just come along! Papa would have paid for you to stay with us; no dent in his pockets for sure! You wouldn't have been in the way." Dew grumbled burying his face into her neck again to take in her scent that smelled a mixture of himself and her favorite body wash.
"Because I'm not a charity case Dew!" Lily snapped back with a frown. "I don't need Papa's money. I can make my own to pay for myself."
Dew looked up at her sensing he might have just pulled on a string of hers. "Baby I wasn't trying to make it seem like you weren't independent. It's just...you work so much, y'know? And I just... you're with me, right? It's my job to take care of you. So if I want to pay for you to come with us why don't you just let me?" he blinked at her.
Lily stared at him before she scoffed and climbed off his lap to grab her discarded clothes. "Because I don't need anybody else's money Dew. I can make my own money and pay for myself; it's not like I'm part of the clergy who gets a free pass to come with you guys on tour all the time."
The fire ghoul watched her redress before he was getting up to grab some clothes too. "You really don't like being spoiled do you?" he muttered feeling a bit insulted not that Lily picked up on it.
"No, because I wasn't raised like that." Lily replied back with a scowl before heading for the door.
"Where are you going?" Dew shot back looking over at her as he was tugging on his pants.
"Out, am I not allowed to do that now?" the woman turned to him glaring.
"Babe I didn't mean-"
"Whatever Dewdrop. I'm going to go get me a damned coffee." Lily slammed the door behind her with more force than she'd probably have liked in her right mind.
But she was kinda hurt. Pissed and hurt that her boyfriend thought she wasn't capable of surviving on her own. Maybe it was a sense of insecurity growing up that made her act out like that - to be seen as an adult instead of a kid. But even as a kid she had learned that the only person she could trust was herself that well...when she finally got something good in her life she was going to sabotage it because she didn't want to come off of someone who needed another person. But she did, she didn't want to admit it but the ghouls, papa, the other girls, and especially Dew had become the family she wished she had growing up. And now that she had it...she didn't know how to be vulnerable around them. To give her the chance to allow others to take care of her when all she ever did was take care of her own needs. Maybe she was too rough with Dew. He was hot-headed and stubborn too - temperamental in a way she was all too familiar with because she saw a lot of him in herself...and that made her feel scared for the vulnerability that she showed him.
She'd left the ghoul's wing and wandered the corridors until she found the mass hall where other siblings were milling about getting their breakfast. She spotted the ghoulettes in line chatting with each other and chose to hop in line with them.
"Morning girls." she chirped popping her head from behind Cirrus.
"Lily! Omg hi! We were wondering if we'd ever get to see you today!" Sunshine chirped back excitedly as she spotted the human girl behind her packmate.
Cirrus and Cumulus both turned with smiles on their faces and gave Lily a brief hug as the line began to move again. Lily was familiar with them from the times she'd gone to the concerts in the past so she felt comfortable around them.
"Yeah...I uh just came by to get some coffee."
"We thought Dewbug would have you in bed all day." Cumulus chuckled shooting the girl a playful wink.
"Nah! I got tired of his company." the smile Lily gave felt forced and the others could see it causing their smiles to wane a bit.
"Oh honey, what happened? Do I need to kick Dew's ass?" Sunshine asked frowning.
Lily didn't reply until she'd grabbed a coffee from the dispenser they were passing. "No just...something he said got to me." she replied after a moment looking away from the others.
They were just about to sit down when a sibling they passed spoke up acting as if they were trying to be discreet but really anybody at the next table could hear them.
"Look who is it. It's the ghouls whore."
another one piped up with a snort. "Who do you think she ended up waking up with? I personally think Swiss but you never know with their manager milling about - maybe she had a threesome with them or something last night; look at her neck!"
Lily froze mid-motion of sitting down but wouldn't meet anybody's eyes as she heard the giggling behind her.
"I think she's just here for the fame. You know? Like, I mean Dewdrop seemed really into her from what I heard but ghouls are sexual creatures so who knows maybe she did sleep around with the other ghouls. Living the life every fan dreams about huh?" another snickered.
Shit. Lily blinked feeling the hot sting of tears in her eyes. The sound of chairs screeching made her finally look up to find the ghoulettes on their feet with thunderstorm expressions.
"Wait a damn minute-" Cirrus began but then a new voice spoke up causing chills to run down her spine.
"Say that again."
She looked over to see a stock still fire ghoul standing between tables. Had Dew followed her to the mass hall? Shit, had he heard all of that?! The siblings turned pale at the sound of his tone as they stared up at him like deer in headlights.
"I said." he took a step forward. "Say. It. Again." he was daring them.
One of the siblings - a brother of the clergy who had called her a whore piped up trying to put up a brave front. "Oh come on dude! It was a joke. But even if it wasn't she isn't part of the Clergy...she's just hear to sleep with a ghoul and get her 5 minutes of fame to brag about-"
Lily gasped in surprise as she jerked backward - tripping over the chair and falling into Sunshine who held her up when Dew snarled with bared fangs and launched himself with all the fire of hell in his eyes on top of the sibling.
Hell broke loose with screams of other siblings as they scrambled out of the way with the two males tumbling around. A pained cry reached Lily's shocked brain and she looked at Dew whose face was buried in the man's shoulder with his face embedded in his flesh. There was blood on the floor now and the sight made her stomach churn.
"Dew stop it..." Her voice was weak but Dewdrop was not listening too out of it from rage.
"Dewdrop!" Lily's voice rose higher but her voice did nothing to stop him.
The brother scrambled for a glass cup that had been knocked to the ground and brought it down over Dew's head; it didn't do much since he had his helmet on but it did at least make him let go.
"Dewdrop stop it yours scaring her!" Cumulus ordered sharply as the short ghoulette yanked the other off of the sibling.
This seemed to knock some sense in him as he looked over at Lily to find her staring at him in horror looking pale. She shook her head and pushed past everybody as she realized they were all staring at her and rushed from the room and down the hall. She heard footsteps rushing after her and she ran.
But she wasn't fast enough and she was grabbed by her arm and spun; ducking into an enclave in the wall and pinned there. The scent of copper was hot and overpowering as Dewdrop yanked his helmet off and rested his head against her shoulder.
"I'm sorry...shit Lily I'm sorry. Don't run, don't be scared of me...please."
she was trembling. She couldn't help it as she squeezed her eyes closed. She'd never seen him so feral before and that blood...she was reminded quite harshly that Dew and the others weren't human no matter how they acted and yes... it did scare her. He scared her.
"D-Dew let me go...please just...your covered in blood...and and..." her words faltered as she turned her head away; his grip on her loosened and she slid to the floor unable to hold herself up anymore.
"Shit...shit..." Dew was breathing hard now as he wiped at his face that was streaked with the sibling's blood - the taste heavy on his tongue.
"I'm sorry firefly. I didn't mean...I just...The things he said about you...I wasn't going to let him disrespect you like that." Dew muttered as he crouched in front of her.
Lily slowly opened her eyes. The blood was smeared across his jaw and stained his teeth - it made her stomach churn even more and she covered her mouth to hold in the gag.
"Lily..." Dew looked at her sadly and reached for her but he stopped when he noticed his hands were stained red too and he quickly wiped his hands on his pants. "Please don't hate..."
Lily swallowed and shook her head. "I..." she licked her dry lips and took a breath. "I don't I just...you didn't have to do that Dew...all that blood...."
He blinked at her and tilted his head studying her. "The blood? That's what's bothering you? Shit, firelily I thought you were scared of me..."
She choked out a laugh and shook her head. "He deserved that shit for what he said...I'm not mad at that it's just...I...god I'm not a fan of blood Dew." she avoided looking at him so she didn't have to see the crimson coating him.
He actually laughed at that more out of relief than anything else. "That's a relief."
"Asshole," Lily muttered rubbing her eyes. "Go away now...don't come back until you're not covered in blood, you psycho."
Footsteps came up behind them the appearance of Cumulus and Sunshine following them. They did not look pleased.
"Your a stupid asshole Dew. That poor brother is going to need freaking stitches cause of you! And Sister Imperator will want to talk to you." Sunshine placed her hands on her hips.
"He deserved that shit for what he said. He's lucky it's only stitching he needs and not a funeral plot." Dew bared his fangs in return still fired up about what he'd heard.
Cumulus crouched beside them and reached out to place a hand on Lily's shoulder. "Are you okay sweetheart?" she asked concerned.
Lily nodded with a small smile. "I'm okay..." She took a breath. "But I could go for a coffee right now...with something a little stronger mixed in with it." she laughed a bit echoed by the other girls.
"Well, good thing I know where Swiss keeps his stash of whiskey," Cumulus replied with a playful wink as she helped the girl to her feet.
"I'll meet you guys later though...I need a shower and then I guess report to Sister Imperator for my punishment." Dew snorted standing to his feet too and grabbing his mask.
"Okay..." Lily nodded.
"Hey...a-are you sure you are not mad at me?" Dew asked watching her face.
Lily dared to meet his face and nodded firmly. "How could I when you were just taking care of me Dew?" she smiled slightly. "Guess your right...from before...maybe I'm just not used to others taking care of me. But no, I'm not mad at you, firecracker." she replied
Dew reached out to nudge her chin with a hand and smiled back. "Good."
"Yes, all good! Now go shower! We'll be in the kitchen binge-eating ice cream and drinking whiskey." Sunshine shoved at Dew's back before she draped her arm around Lily and began leading her away with Cumulus.
Lily looked back at her fire ghoul and shot him one last smile. Even if he was covered in blood...he wasn't half bad. Maybe she could learn to let him in a little closer and let him take care of her...as long as it didn't involve bloodshed, that is. Heh, yeah. Every fan girl's dream come true.

My detective/enemies to lovers story | random scene #1
“Okay, bear with me,” he said, his voice lightening the tension, “I’m not accusing you of stealing the journal. It's just that, mysteriously, it found its way into your charming hands. Now, we'll need to chat a bit to untangle this web, but hey, if you’re innocent, there’s nothing to worry about, right? It’s all quite routine.”
He casually sank into the dusty sofa, grabbing the first book in reach. Pretending to read the summary, his eyes flickered up towards her. There was an awkward charm about him. Sofi, smart as she was, felt a flutter of nerves. She'd never been in such a scenario. Was she being set up? And then there was this self-proclaimed 'very private detective', trying to coax a confession from her with a hint of playfulness.
“Excuse me, but what exactly are you doing here?” She asked, her voice a mix of trepidation and boldness.
“I thought I just explained. I’m here to inform you …,” he began, but Sofi cut him off.
“What I mean is, why are you still here? I'm quite informed now, thank you,” Sofi replied, her confidence growing.
“Oh, right. Well, as I might have mentioned, I'm a 'very private detective', and this case? It's hush-hush. The police don’t want to make a scene, so I’m your charming escort for questioning,” he said, trying to sound convincing yet not too imposing.
“Yeah… no. I’m not just going to stroll out with some guy claiming police ties.”
“My apologies, I do have a badge,” he said, producing it from his pocket with a slight flourish.
Sofi hesitated. How could she know if it was real? The last thing she wanted was trouble. But she wasn’t about to be intimidated.
“Detective Raven, was it? I won’t be going anywhere with you. You haven’t exactly won my trust, and I’m not about to gamble with my safety. But thanks for the invite,” Sofi said, straightening up and nervously adjusting her skirt, “Just so you know, I have pepper spray and the real police on speed dial. I’d prefer if you left now.”
Raven stood up and slowly walked to the door, trying to show to her that he was losing patience, hoping she’d follow.
“Miss Sofi, I truly didn’t mean to unsettle you. But I do need to bring you in for a casual chat at the station. We’ve been keeping an eye on you, not as a suspect, just wrong place, wrong time. We just want to clear your name.”
Raven's playful smirk lingered as he leaned against the doorframe. "You know, this whole 'reluctant witness' act? It's quite compelling. Ever thought about a career in acting?"
Sofi crossed her arms, unamused. "I'm not acting. I really don't want to go with you."
He feigned a hurt expression. "Ouch, that's a little harsh. Here I am, offering you a thrilling trip to the police station, and you're turning me down?"
"A 'thrilling trip' to the police station isn't exactly my idea of fun," Sofi retorted.
Raven laughed. "Come on, it's not every day you get to play a part in a real-life detective story."
"I prefer my stories in books, thanks. Less risk of wrongful accusations and jail time," she said dryly.
He leaned in, trying a different tactic. "But think of the mystery, the intrigue! And you'll have me, your dedicated 'very private detective', by your side the whole time."
Sofi sighed, exasperated. "Detective Raven, I'm really not interested in your 'mystery and intrigue'. I just want to be left alone."
Raven straightened up, sensing his charm offensive was failing. "Alright, let's be serious for a moment. I genuinely need you to come with me. It's important for clearing up this whole journal situation."
"And if I refuse?" Sofi asked, her tone firm.
Raven's playful demeanor faded, replaced by professional seriousness. "Then I'd have to insist. It's not just about the journal. You might be in danger, and we need to get to the bottom of this."
Sofi hesitated, weighing her options. "And if I go with you, what happens next?"
"You'll be questioned, but as I said, if you're innocent, which we know you are, you've got nothing to worry about," he assured her.
Sofi stood her ground. "Fine. But I'm going on my terms. I'll follow in my car. And I want a lawyer present."
Raven nodded, a hint of annoyance in his eyes. "Fair enough. But don't take too long. Time is of the essence in cases like these."
With that, he turned and left the antiques shop, the door closing behind him with a definitive click. Sofi watched him go, her mind racing with questions and uncertainties about what lay ahead.

nausea and never enough ice cream
The fire crinkled and sparked as the group sat around, marshmallows and coffee's as the cool air blew around them. The woods grew darker and the stars littered the sky causing y/n to close her eyes, feeling Drews soft caresses against her thigh.
Drew's parents decided to invite everyone for a week long cabin getaway, with sweets and boardgames included. Drew and y/n happily accepted the invention by being the first ones to arrive, their excitement bounced around every new comer making Drew's parents marvel over the fact that their loved ones were having a good time.
Today was a long day. Today consisted of fishing, hiking, cooking, and card games... lots and lots of card games. Drew, pleasantly surprised at how competitive y/n was made the games they played even better with light bickering and playful teasing.
But y/n grew tired by six o'clock and she was surprised at how tired she's been getting recently, even before their cabin getaway she'd been feeling off. Restlessness and cravings for Ben and Jerry's increased as days passed, y/n didn't really think anything about it so she never brought it up or gave it a second thought. Ben and Jerry never let her down so she welcomed the newfound cookie dough cravings.
Until two nights ago, violent nausea kicked her hard causing her to stay bedridden. She felt horrible, trying to sweep it under the rug by telling everyone it must have been something she ate. Everyone seemed to agree but not Drew's sister, she let it slide the first night but as she watched y/n worsen she knew that 'bad food' was not making y/n sick.
So, here y/n was, finally up to sitting outside with everyone, sipping on some green tea that Drew's mother had made for her, making sure to add ginger and honey to calm her nausea. She leaned into Drew and shuffled uncomfortably against him, her stomach twisting and turning at the sight of burnt, gooey marshmallows. The smell making her grow pale and groan causing Drew and his sister to snap their focus on y/n.
"What's wrong baby?" he asked in slight panic.
Y/n sat up slowly and held out her hand, motioning for him to stop talking as she set down her mug and took a deep breath to try and settle her stomach. "I- I need to go inside." she nearly whispered.
Drew quickly stood and held out his hands for y/n to hold onto as he helped her up. She screwed her eyes shut as she felt the fire in front of her spin. "It's okay y/n were gonna take you to bed." Drew said as she whimpered at the feeling.
Drew's sister stood and patted y/n's shoulder before calling over for Drew to lead y/n back inside as she held the door for them to enter the warm cabin. "I'm sorry, I don't know what I ate but I feel like it was that chicken." she gagged making him nod in response.
"Probably." Drew's sister said, pressing her lips together to hide what she was really thinking.
"Don't be sorry, you just need some water and some sleep. You'll be all good in the morning." Drew urged making y/n nod as they made their way up the stairs. Their bedroom was one of the bigger rooms, the oak floors and dark green walls called y/n to bed, plopping down onto the pillows and groaning as her stomach churned at the sudden jolt of her body hitting the bed. "I'll go get some water and pepto bismol, need anything else?" Drew asked, leaning down towards y/n and pushing her hair back from her face.
"Get a bin or something so she can have it by the bed." His sister suggested making y/n nod at him. "I've got her." she smiled.
"I'll be right back."
Y/n sighed, snuggling into her pillow as she watched Drew's sister snap her fingers, pointing towards the bathroom and motioning for her to get up.
"What?" y/n questioned as she watched her lock the bedroom door.
"Okay, listen, I have a feeling that chicken isn't making you feel like shit." she said, pulling her from the bed and dragging her to the ensuite.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about this!" Drew's sister whisper yelled, pulling out a box of pregnancy tests that she bought at the supermarket earlier in the day from under the sink.
"What the fuck!" y/n nearly yelled making Drew's sister slap her hand over y/n's mouth.
"Just try! You might be pregnant and it's not like it's likely that you aren't!" She said throwing her hands up in the air.
Y/n scoffed as she shook her head and looked around the bathroom in shock at what was being said. "This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!"
Drew's sister shoved the pink box into y/n's hands with wide eyes as she peered over at the bedroom door. "I suggest doing it now before he comes back. Y/n lets just see." she said. "What's the worst that could happen?"
Y/n gripped onto the box and sighed, her heart fluttered at the thought of carrying a child... her and Drew's child. Her hands began to shake as she began to connect the dots of the days that lead her to this moment. "Fine!"
"Hurry, I'll distract him if he gets back."
Y/n watched as Drew's sister closed the bathroom door leaving her to stand alone in the bathroom that felt like it would cave in on her at any moment. Y/n began taking out the test as she read the instructions and gulped as she unhooked the cap to the test. She froze once she heard Drew knock on the bedroom door, groaning at it being locked.
"Go get, uh, go.. get the dog!" Drew's sister shouted.
"Why?" he yelled.
"Because we- we want him. and y/n wants to cuddle." Y/n sighed in relief as she heard him curse from behind the door and stomp off into the distance. She rolled her eyes at his childish behavior, giggling at how his sister covered for her. Y/n cleared her throat as she set the test on the toilet cover and slowly shuffled out of the bathroom with flushed cheeks and worried eyes. "Don't stress, whatever happens I know it will be alright."
Y/n nodded as she sat on the door of the bed, twiddling her thumbs to pass the time as they waited for time to pass. "I think it's ready." she said quietly.
"Okay."
The girls stood and slowly made their way to the bathroom, clutching each others hands tightly as y/n reached for the test. With a pounding heart she flipped the test in her hand, revealing two small red lines on the little circled screen. They bother gasped, the test falling out of y/n's hand and onto the tiled floor, her throat hitching as they both look at each other with disbelief in their eyes.
"Holy shit! You're pregnant!" Y/n nodded, her eyes not being able to focus as she felt Drew's sister throw her arms around her in excitement. "You're gonna be a mom!" She whisper yelled.
"I-" Y/n started the they suddenly heard knocks coming from the bedroom door.
"I got the dog..."
The pair both inhaled as y/n stared at Drew's sister with panicked eyes, her hands shaking as she watched her take the test and hide it in mirrored cabinet. "You don't have to tell him right now. And you know you don't have to keep it if you don't want to." she said quickly, placing her hands on y/n's shoulders.
"thank y-you?" Y/n gulped as she watched the door being unlocked and Drew strolling in with the dog behind him.
"Goodnight guys!" his sister sang, winking at y/n before skipping down the hall.
Y/n watched as Drew placed the bin onto the floor and chucking her newly filled water bottle onto the bed. She watched as he close the door and bend down to pet the dog, cooing and laughing with him.
Drew glanced up at y/n with worried eyes as he watched her dig at her back pocket of her jeans before she quickly shuffled towards the bed. She smiled at him slightly as she watched him lean onto his side, stretching his body over the bed to look over at her. "You feeling any better?" he questioned.
"Mhm."
Drew nodded and reached for her hand, leaning back in surprise as she flinched her hand away and clutch her chest. Drew's eyebrows furrowed knowing that she did that whenever she was stressed or upset. "What?"
"Nothing!" y/n squeaked out as she sat back against the headboard, biting her bottom lip. Her chest tightened at the thought of him being upset with the news, what if he was mad? or what if he walked out? where would she go, because she's at his family's house, she'd be alone and scared if he was mad at her.
Drew chuckled, reaching for her again as he crawled closer to her, "I know you. What's on your mind, pretty girl?" Y/n jumped from the bed making Drew gasp at her sudden movements. She ran her hands through her hair and took a deep breath, placing her hands out for him to stay where he was. "Y/n.."
"Okay just-" Y/n sighed as she paced around the bedroom, "Just listen to what I'm going to tell you because I don't know how to tell you and I don't know how you're gonna react because we never really talked about this."
Drew started at her with pure confusion, he sat up straight as he watched her pace around the room in pure panic. he nodded and arched his hands out for her to take and in couple surprise, she took his hands into hers. He watched her take a deep breath as he smiled at her lovingly, his thumbs caressing her, encouraging her to tell him whatever she had to say.
"Okay."
"I- I love you so much." Y/n started making Drew nod, "And I know that you love me so when people love each other... they... they do things-"
"Are you giving me the sex talk?" Drew laughed loudly. "Because if you are then I'm sorry to inform you but I-"
"I'm pregnant." Y/n blurted.
Drew's eyes shot up and a gasp fell from y/n's lips as he jumped off the bed, his frame towering over her small one causing her heart to drop as she watched him walk away from her. "You're pregnant." He said with his back facing y/n.
"I just took the test. Yes.."
Drew jumped up, his fist pumping the air as he turned around, jumping side to side like a jumping bean causing y/n to cover her hands over her mouth as she laughed. Drew quickly made his way over to her and threw his arms around her, y/n squealed as he picked her up effortlessly and spun her around once, twice, three times as her laughter vibrated between them. "I'm going to be a father?"
"Yes." y/n hummed as he set her down, his hands cupping her cheeks into his hands as he watched tears pool at the corner of er eyes.
"We're going to be be parents. We made a tiny human!" Drew nearly screamed as he poked y/n's stomach lovingly.
She giggled at his touch and nodded, pulling out the test from her back jean pocket, "See!" she said holding the test in between them both.
"About time I put a baby in you." Drew smirked.
"Oh, so this was your plan all along?" y/n teased making drew chuckle as he pulled her towards the bed with a plop- causing them to both giggle in bliss.
"Definitely." he teased before tracing spongy kisses against her soft skin, y/n's giggles filling the room as she ran her fingers into his hair as he hovered over her. "Having a little you or me running around it everything." "I love you so much. And I'll love our baby... so, so much." Drew whispered.
"We know." Y/n hummed, gripping Drew's hand and placing it over her soon to be ballon like stomach. "We love you too, so much."
"We know." Y/n hummed, gripping Drew's hand and placing it over her soon to be ballon like stomach. "We love you too, so much."

For some reason I remembering that time I reincarnated as a slime and I'm just imagining slime darling
Like darling gets chased for wearing the face of the imposter but
Arrows? Inhaled
Swords? Snacks
Claymore? Chew toys
Ok bye my brains not working properly and I have work to do
this. love it. Just the thought of god!reader in general being so powerful that the characters are just not even a threat for them <333
would it be like how it happens in the anime? Being able to switch between slime and human?
Either way, can't stop thinking about how much the slimes would love you. In human or slime form they're following you like lost dogs and cuddling with you.
If you do get hunted down, to no avail due to your transformation abilities, they'll probably think you're some kind of adepti from another land (like adepti "rank" but from a different nation or world entirely).
Which makes it more damning to them because how dare you wear the face of their god, you're not even from here. I think it'd be better to clump this in with a reader than can transform into anything right? So if they notice that you can transform into anything or anyone at anytime, they'll just think you stole their god's face even more.
But! If reader is mortally wounded, their shape-shifting powers go away. To conserve energy and maybe when they shape-shift it's just odd reflections of light, so that means once reader gets injured they transform into their original form because you can't injure something that's not real.
Just a thought though. I like it!
YO- Shapeshifting sexy thief reader???????????????
Transforming into Zhongli for easy access into Jueyun Karst so you can steal Cloud Retainer's trinkets. Maybe one of her trinkets is something she took from you. Maybe (this is from another ask i haven't answered yet) she had took your phone from you. So you now have your phone!
... at 2%
But! You can transform into a slime! So just... charge your phone yourself! LDKFJdslkf
And once it's charged, you have blackmail :)
Do you know all the weird shit people have drawn the characters doing? What people have done with the official models?
BRO IMAGINE HAVING PICTURES OF OBSCURE SHIPS??? Like if you threatened Yae with pictures of her and Ei she'd be unphased. Like, yes sweetie, we make out, get over yourself.
But pictures of her and Ayato??? SHE'D DIE IF THAT GOT OUT. WHO'S YOUR SUPPLIER, WHERE'D YOU GET THESE????
So now you like at the grand narukami shrine :) and none of the shrine maidens like you (especially the one in yae's demo LASKDJFASD-) But the foxes adore you and their opinion means much more than theirs so you feel welcomed.
Its also so fun to transform into a fox and have the shrine maidens be in awe at how a fox is letting them pet it. You could either let them keep the fond memory... or destroy it by transforming back and rubbing it in their face that they were petting you.
Eventually though, I imagine they'd warm up to you. They may not have liked you but Yae loves watching the shrine maidens look at animals and monsters thinking "Is this that little fucker?"
So you grow on all of them. And once someone from one of the commissions find you -because eventually they will - and take you away, they'll fight tooth and nail for you. The shrine's so boring now without you, and your little playful scuffles with Yae were hilarious. When the both of you worked together to tease the shrine maidens, it was terrifying. At the same time though, Yae could always tell when it was you and maybe show some mercy to the shrine maidens.
Just. The shrine is so empty without you terrorizing them. Your reckless but lighthearted playful attitude contrasting Yae's serious and sometimes malicious teasing was such a nice atmosphere once you get used to it.
"That fucking rat got captured? Welp, gotta go and get the damn rat."

Chapter 37: .. You’d Come Over Right?
Chapter 36 | Masterlist | Chapter 38 | Words: 3,498
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/N's POV
The flight over was rather quiet, everyone was in their own little bubbles, allowing their most intrusive of thoughts to take over. Natasha had quite the tight hold on me, gripping slightly tighter every now and again, leading me to understand exactly where her mind had gone.
Once we had landed, we were graciously greeted by T'Challa, and Okoye, who then took us to where we are now—in Shuri's lab.
"Whoa. The structure is polymorphic." Shuri excitedly gasps, as she's pulling up a 3D model of the stone she'd just scanned.
"Yes, they had attached each neuron non-sequentially." Vision confirms, disdain slightly present in his tone.
"Why didn't they just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?"
"Because, they probably didn't think of it." I respond, knowing my brother is likely to choose the fastest way possible, not necessarily the most strategic.
"I'm sure they did their best." She politely chuckles out.
"Can you do it?" Wanda desperately pleads.
"Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures. It will take time, brother."
"How long?" Natasha asks
"As long as you can give me." Shuri concludes
"I'll be staying up here to keep whatever enters out, my powers should buy us enough time."
"If moya solynshko's up here, then so am I." Yelena interjects, and I smile her way in appreciation.
(My sunshine's)
"You'd think you'd follow your sister." Natasha jokingly condescends, her face however shows how grateful she is that her sister chooses to stay with me.
"Something's entered the atmosphere." Okoye states, as her watch lights up with the alarm.
The already tense atmosphere grows tenfold, as I lock eyes with my best girls, Wanda and Natasha.
"Be safe out there, don't you dare hesitate to call me if it gets too bad, I'll make sure to send Yelena down."
Wanda stares at me, looking as if she heard nothing I'd just said, and it truly kills me to see the broken look on her face. Her eyes were clearly searching mine for something to ground her, so I reached out to grip her shoulders.
"You got my girl, I got your guy." I playfully state while lightly shaking her form, even with the playful tone, she knows I'm being deadly serious.
"Yeah, but more importantly, you can't die on me either." Wanda firmly states, as she pulls me close, and firmly holds me.
"Dying's not really part of my plan Wands, it better not be part of yours." I relay, while holding her that much tighter.
"It's not." She confirms, squeezing me once more before departing to say her goodbyes to Vis.
Nat stares at me solemnly, running her eyes up and down my figure, then she practically leaps into my embrace.
"I wish we were still cuddled up in bed with our little bug." She mumbles against my hairline, while stroking her hand up and down my back.
"Me too... Listen, Nat.."
"Don't." She pleads, her voice slightly wavering.
"Natty, it's okay. I just want to say I love you, and that if anything—."
"It won't." She growls, while practically shoving my face into her chest.
"Humor me please, IF anything happens, I want you to know that you were truly the greatest love of my life. I never thought I'd be happy, let alone find love, but you've given me everything I could never dream of and more. So, if something happens I need you to promise me you'll go on, you'll find the happiness you deserve."
"Absolutely not, detka, you're it for me." She commands.
"Natty.."
"You're it for me! So, you need to promise me you won't die."
"I can't promise that..."
"Please..."
"I promise you I'll do my best, if you promise to do the same. I can't fathom promising you something else, then ending up breaking it." I gently relay, pulling back to cup her cheeks and wipe the tears that had fallen, then I pull back with a smirk as I reach my pinky up to her face.
She sadly smirks my way, and links her pinky with mine, then we seal it with a kiss.
"I love you Natty, I'll see you after."
"I love you more, detka." She proclaims, then firmly kisses my lips.
She goes to pull back, but then Yelena and Wanda collide into us from either side for a group hug.
"See you soon roomies." I chuckle out, while the redheads detach and leave to join the others on the lower level.
"So Vis, you ready to become a powerless human?" I quip to the synthezoid.
"I'd still have powers Y/N, just nowhere near as powerful, and nowhere close to human." He matter of factly states.
"Yeah, I was just playing a guessing game, you know... Making small talk to work passed my nerves. I'm not really aware of how any of this works." I nervously chuckle out.
"That much is obvious." Shuri laughs out, as she has Vision lying down under the machine, while she works on him.
"Lena, you wanna go invisible with me or use the spy's element of surprise?"  I ask the blonde, as I hear the commotion taking place below.
"My own, I hate the tingly feeling of yours."
Yelena moves to stand off to the side in a crouching position, while I stand directly in front of Vision and Shuri.
"It's showtime."
Nat's POV
On the field we see a figure waiting at the dome, Steve, T'Challa and I approach her.
"You will all pay for with your life, Thanos will have that stone." The freaky women immediately says in greeting to us.
"That's not gonna happen." Steve responds.
"You are in Wakanda now. Thanos will have nothing but dust and blood." T'Challa adds.
"We...Have blood to spare." She ominously replies, as she raises her right arm with a cry, and several large ships emerge from the forest behind her
At her proclamation, the lot of us return to the front of the line, while everyone gets into a fighting stance.
"They're killing themselves." Okoye states with a look of horror upon her face.
"You seen the teeth on those things?... Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us...There's nothing between them and Vision." Sam states.
"Y/N and Yelena are there to protect him, but it would be better to keep 'em in front of us."
"How do we do that?" Okoye questions
"We open the barrier... On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen." T'Challa announces, as he speaks into his comms.
"Requesting confirmation, My King. You said open the barrier?"
"On my signal."
"This will be the end of Wakanda." The really buff Wakandan states with a cringe.
"Then it will be the noblest ending in history." Okoye concludes, as she prepares her staffs.
"Wakanda Forever!" T'Challa shouts, as he crosses his hands over his chest, and his helmet falls over his face. His army of Wakandan's mimic him in a war cry, T'Challa and Steve are at the front of the advancing army.
"Now!" He shouts, as the barrier lifts and the monstrous beings make their way passed the barrier.
I'm back to back with Okoye, having lost sights on Wanda, while we're tirelessly fighting off the never ending onslaught of creatures.
"Y/N, any updates?" I shout into the comms, while slicing through another alien
"Turns out this is quite complex, but she estimates another fifteen minutes, seems we don't have any company yet."
"Shit, that's insane, tell her to speed up if possible."
"She would like me to say 'Stay in your own lane Agent Romanoff.' Anywho, stay safe baby."
I chuckle to myself, welcoming the slightly humorous banter to lift my spirits in the midst of the fight.
Wanda's POV
I have this sinking feeling, like something big is still coming, it's like this gnawing feeling in my chest. I'm trying to stay out of the limelight here, having recognized an alien from a previous battle I've been in, while still watching Natasha's every move.
I see the floor in front of Nat and Okoye start shaking, then these massive murder wheels come from below, so I jump into action. I lift the wheels into the air, looking behind to see an array of the creatures, so I throw the machines behind to know them out.
"Where has she been this whole time?" Okoye says, and I find myself honestly smiling for a brief second. Then I hear a slight whisper behind me: "She's on the field, take it."
Before I can acknowledge that, I hear Sam in the comms.
"Guys, we got a Y/N situation here."
"Somebody get to Vision!" Steve commands
"What about Y/N?" Natasha shouts in question.
"I got her!" Thor shouts as he takes off in her direction.
"On my way." I confirm, preparing to get to Vision, and Yelena, but then I feel an impact as I'm apparently being thrown into a pit.
"They'll die alone. As will you." The familiar alien says, as she now towers over me.
"She's not alone." I hear Natasha says from beside me.
The alien prepares for a fight, while Okoye moves to blindside her, ending with Okoye being thrown to the side. Then Natasha lunges at her, activating her batons, but ends up being thrown to the ground. While she's trying to force the batons against her throat, I'm able to get ahold of myself. I noticed more wheels traveling across the grounds. I waited for them to get closer, then I threw her into the air with my powers, and she was no more.
"That was disgusting." Natasha scoffs, as she rolls onto her elbow, and I notice the splattered blue blood across her face.
"Guys! I can't find lady Y/N." Thor shouts through the comms.
My heart drops, and I see Natasha's face do the same. We nod, an understanding that we need to split, and she runs towards the area Y/N had been seen falling into.
I fly into the lab, hoping my worst nightmares aren't coming to life. As I enter I see the table Vision was on flipped over, then I hear a grunt.
"Yelena?" I shakily ask, grateful to at least know she's alive, even if I know nothing about anyone else.
"Over here witchy." She groans, as I follow the noise to the left of the lab.
"What's happened?" I ask in a panic.
"Everything was going just fine, then this burly freakazoid walked through the doors with a few  more, smaller freaky looking aliens. Y/N had the upper hand with her powers, but somehow he had been prepared for her. He threw this contraption her way, so her invisibility faded. Vision's stone began to float in the air right after, once the machine had apparently finished the job. The alien jumped out the window, having grasped the stone, but Y/N jumped onto him as he did and they fell down. Vision flew off after them, and now they're all missing." Yelena rapidly shoots out, moving to stand up, and slightly leaning against me for stabilizing.
"Shuri?"
"She chased off the remaining aliens, with these like really cool machines on her arms. Like my widow bites, but stronger and blue."
"Okay, you stay here, I'll head down to help."
"Absolutely not, I'm okay enough to fight."
"Yele—."
"Wanda, if my sister and Y/N are in danger, I'm not just going to sit here babying myself over a bruised rib."
I nod, conceding, because honestly we can use all the help we can get...
"Wanda, darling..."
"Vision? Where's Y/N?"
"I'm not sure, I tried to fly after them but was blindsided by a creature mid flight." He solemnly replies.
"Let's go!" Yelena all but shouts, while latching on to me, and I descend the both of us to the ground with the others.
Y/N's POV
As I found myself falling out yet another window, I couldn't help but to wonder if this was now going to be my thing.
"Give it up tiny girl." He seethes, as his body hits the ground, and I go tumbling off of him
"Or what?" I taunt the oaf, with a roll of my eyes.
He runs at me, no longer focused on his mission, and by the look in his eyes I can tell he's planning to kill me. I wasn't prepared for the first knock down, but after a few punches, I reoriented my mind then focused on my accessing my powers. I obviously wasn't able to go invisible, but the bracelet wasn't strong enough to fully knock out my telekinesis. He began to choke me, instinctually I fought it off, but instead focused my mind on him.
After a long, grueling fight, I'd managed to float him off of me, and snap his neck—affectively killing the big oaf. So, I now have the stone in my possession, but my powers aren't meant to destroy an infinity stone. Plus this cuff on my ankle is not budging, so I have to rely on my abilities of stealth.
I climb up into a tree, against my bodies protests as that fight took a lot out of me. I got up decently high, before this sinking feeling came over me.
"Lady Y/N?!" Thor shouts as he approaches where I just was, I keep quiet, as I look to my right to see a cloud manifesting.
This massive purple creature walks out, I observe the creature to see a metal gauntlet, and low and behold it's full of infinity stones.
Thanos—the oh mighty titan has arrived...
*Wands...*
*Y/N/N? Thank God! Where are you?*
*Perched in a tree, recovering from a near choke out while watching our friends being taken out one by one by Thanos. You need to get to me, and destroy the damn stone.*
Before she has a chance to reply, the tree I'm in begins to shift, and I'm brutally catapulted out of it. I roll against my will, until I find I'm lying in the middle of the current battle against the titan himself.
*Too late*
I ignore the pain in my bones, as I try to interpret the sight in front of me. Thor's apparently fighting alongside a tree and raccoon, Steve's facing Thanos head on, Natasha's nowhere in sight which absolutely terrifies me.
*Y/N, focus, Natasha's fine—I can feel her. We need to get you out of there.*
*Sorry... I'm just nervous*
I focus once more, looking for an out that won't bring much attention to me. Quietly as can be, I slip through some trees, doing my best to remain quiet while looking for Wanda. It was going smoothly, until I was yanked behind a really tall oak tree, and silenced with a hand over my mouth.
"Shh, solynshko... It's just me." Yelena whispers into my ear, then drops her hand from my mouth.
"What the hell Lena?" I whisper shout.
"I didn't know what else to do.."
"Both of you, stop. Where's the stone?" Wanda asks as she swiftly approaches us.
I reach into my vest pocket—courtesy of Yelena, and then hold it up for Wanda.
"Let's blow this bitch to smithereens." I smirk, while placing a shield around Yelena, Vision and I.
Nat's POV
Thanos is obliterating us one by one: Rhodey, Sam, Bucky, and I have already been thrown out of the battle. Y/N's currently MIA, and I can't even search for her because the purple bitch has trapped me in a layer of tree branches.
"Y/N?!" I shout, only really able to move enough to reach my comms.
"Please answer..." I whisper, trying my best not to drop my resolve...
Fuck... No one's telling me anything, and they were all so preoccupied with Vision's life that they once again left her for dead...
*Natasha, calm down! Your thoughts are clouding my ability to find her, you know I'd never leave her for dead*
*Wands... I'm not trying to be ...*
*Look, I know... Just calm down, I have her, it'll be over soon.*
Wanda's POV
Y/N's holding the stone up for me, while I work to focus all of my energy into my hands, preparing myself to unleash as much concentrated power as possible onto the stone that started it all for me. It's almost far too consuming, as I raise my hand to focus the energy on the stone, there's a loud crunch of leaves behind me.
The look on Y/N's face is enough to tell me who's there, so without dropping my focus, I raise my other hand and disperse my energy both ways.
The pain of it all becomes too much, entirely too consuming, as my body is desperately begging me to stop but I can't. There’s a crackling noise, telling me that the stone’s nearing its breaking point, so I focus that much more to finish it.
A reddish orange blast spreads across the area, as the stone shatters into minuscule pieces, sending Y/N/N, Vis and Lena flying backwards—even with the use of her shield. It’s only then that I actually notice the power dampening bracelet is still on her ankle. I fall to my knees, having drained myself almost entirely, as Thanos makes his way towards Y/N’s unconscious body.
“This one, she’s powerful, I can feel it.”
“Get away from her!” I bite out through gritted teeth, as I will my body to make a move.
“Don’t worry, my goal isn’t to take her, but instead to set her free.”
I try to get to my feet, but it’s proving rather difficult, especially as Thanos reaches out to ‘comfort’ me.
“I understand, my child. Better than anyone.” He solemnly states, as if he could even fathom the pain he’s attempting to bring.
I’ve nearly lost the love of my life, and best friend in the span of thirty minutes…
“You could never.” I hear Y/N cough out, as she seems to come to.
“Today, I lost more than you can know. But now is no time to mourn. Now... is no time at all.” He cryptically states, throwing me off entirely, wondering where this is even going as the stone’s no longer in existence.
I see a green mist surrounding his gauntlet, he slowly turns his hand, and I watch time practically reverse, as the stone begins to be rematerialized in front of us.
I attempted to run towards them, as I was unable to fully channel my powers.
“No!” I shout as I see it fully reformed then he abruptly throws me across the field, and I land on my side with a groan, honestly having no fight left in me.
He steps back, allowing the stone to drop in its rightful place on the gauntlet, I watch from the ground as all the stones different colors are coursing through his body.
Then by the grace of a certain God, Thor’s now barreling down from the sky towards Thanos, impaling him with his mighty axe.
While Thor’s falling I look to see a beaten down Y/N crawling towards me.
“Wands… I need you to get this off of me, I can’t fight much with it on, it’s also really hurting.” She groans, as she points to the bracelet.
“Y/N/N, I’m not sure I can, I’m drained…”
“Wands, please try, he’s going to win, I have this horrible feeling. If you can just help me I can lift the stones off the gauntlet…”
I raise up slightly from the ground, while placing both of my hands to her ankle, I force what little power I can out, and the bracelet falls from her leg. Her body lunges forward, as all the dampened power is now coursing through her in full force.
As she goes to stand, she reaches out to help me up, and I lean against her side. Then we hear him…
Nat’s POV
In almost an instant, the tree trunks around me vanish, then I look to see Thanos is no longer near us, which can’t mean anything good.
*Wanda?*
*WANDA!?!*
Shit… That also can’t be good !
I scramble onto my feet, and take off towards where the reddish orange blast just came from, assuming that’s where they all are.
As I arrive I’m immediately gutted at the sight, I see my little sister, and Vision are knocked out cold. Wanda’s on the ground, while a beaten Y/N’s getting both of them up from the ground. Lastly, I see Thor digging his axe into his chest, which sends a wave of relief through me. My heart immediately drops though when I see he was able to get all of the stones.
I run towards them, and as I do, I hear Thanos mutter to Thor:
“You should’ve gone for the head!”

warning/s: none.
author's note: this is very beefy, i must admit, but i think you'll all enjoy the outcome 😂💘

Dinner with the Maximoffs wasn't as strange as I envisioned. Her parents were sweet and the twins did their best to make me feel comfortable. Wanda still seemed mildly frustrated whenever Pietro and I would talk though, and I figured she may have thought I was lying when I told her I didn't like him like that. I hoped that wasn't the case.
After dinner, Wanda took me upstairs to show me her bedroom. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it seemed so Wanda.
"I'm guessing red is your favourite colour," I said when I saw the hints of scarlet in her bedroom. On her walls, in her bedding, on her pillows. Just like her car and her jacket, they were all bright and very her.
"Great observation, Sherlock," she teased with a sly smile.
I returned the smile, sticking my tongue out at her playfully, before having a walk around and coming across her massive CD collection and CD player. Her music taste was actually quite similar to mine, which I definitely didn't expect. It just made her ten times more attractive to me which wasn't good, but oh well. I was here for a good time, not a long time. And my crush on Wanda Maximoff would surely be the death of me.
"D'you have any CDs at all?" she asked, joining my side when she noticed me staring at the shelf.
I crossed my arms, glancing at her. "Don't get me wrong. I'd love to collect them, but it's just so much easier to have Spotify, y'know?"
My intention wasn't to make her laugh, but God I was glad I did when her eyes crinkled and the sound rang around the room, making my heart pinch with adoration.
After giving me some of her pyjamas, the two of us got ready and brushed our teeth before I realised she wanted me to share bed with her.
"You wanna watch some TV before bed?" she asked, clearly not registering my hesitance to slide into her Queen-sized bed.
I swallowed hard. "S-sure."
She turned on the TV at the end of her bed as I slipped in beside her, still a bit rigid as I kept a fair distance from her.
"What you feeling? Comedy? Drama? Horror?"
"Anything is fine with me," I said, still tense.
She hummed in acknowledgement before leaning down on her pile of pillows behind her, edging closer to me. My heart was hammering in my chest as her hair tickled my arm from where she was laying.
"You comfortable?" she checked in, leaning backwards so her head was upside down to see me. "I have more pillows if you need them."
I offered her a small smile, hoping it disguised my nerves. "I'm good."
She nodded before flicking through the channels and eventually settling on reruns of The Office. It took time, but I eventually overcame my initial shock of sharing bed with the girl I had a major crush on and instead relaxed, getting comfortable under the covers.
After watching some TV, we called it a night and fell asleep quite quickly, the day taking its toll on us. For once, I wasn't panicking about doing something stupid. I simply fell asleep, trying to ignore the heat she emanated from beside me.
It was a peaceful night – her bed was super comfortable – and I woke up to the sound of Wanda moving about in her bedroom.
"Shoot, I'm sorry, did I wake you?" she asked when she saw me moving about under the blankets. I tried to blink away the sleep as she continued, "I was gonna wake you soon. School starts in an hour."
I rubbed my eyes, yawning, before sitting up and seeing she was practically already dressed. That meant she would have been up for a while, meaning she would have seen me fast asleep. God, I hated when people saw me sleeping. It always felt so weird.
"It's okay," I got out tiredly, before running a hand through my hair.
"You sleep well?" she asked, spinning around in her chair, her makeup half done. "I tried my very best not to use you as a teddy bear."
She was joking, but I felt my neck grow warm at the thought and damn, it was just way too early to be flustered.
"Yeah, I slept great," I settled, feeling her gaze on me. "Thanks again for having me over."
"Anytime," she said, and something told me it wasn't just a friendly response but that she actually meant it. Maybe it was the kind smile on her lips as she said so. "Just like last night, if you wanna use anything in the bathroom, go for it."
I gave her a thumbs up, taking a moment to wake myself up a little more, before heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I returned to Wanda's room, I saw she'd already made the bed and had laid my clothes on top of it.
"I've got a shirt you can borrow," she said when I grabbed my jeans.
"Oh, I can just wear the same thing again, it's no biggie," I told her, already grabbing my shirt.
She pouted before grabbing a shirt from her closet. "Just hold on. You'll love it."
In no time, she came out from her closet and held out a Paramore tee shirt on a hanger towards me.
"I got it from the last concert I went to," she explained. "I thought you'd like it."
I couldn't help but smile at the thought. "Wow, Wanda. Really? You don't mind?"
She nodded, shaking the shirt as emphasis for me to take it. I did, having a look over it and smiling to myself.
"I'll wash it and give it back to you tomorrow," I promised, taking it off the hanger and holding it with my jeans. "Thanks."
"You can keep it," she said, scratching the back of her head apprehensively. "I've got loads."
"Oh, no, I can't do that," I began to deny, but she shook her head.
"It's fine, I'm giving it to you," she said, before smiling sweetly. "I'm sure you'll look better in it anyway."
Again with the warmth spreading up my neck...
"I doubt that," I quipped with a small smile.
"Go! Go get changed," she said, already pushing me towards the door. "I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast."
I snickered, letting her shove me into the hallway, before heading into the bathroom to get ready. The shirt was oversized, so there was no need to be worried it wouldn't fit. It was actually really nice, plus I liked it that extra bit more knowing Wanda gave it to me. Though I knew I wouldn't keep it. It was hers and she was just being nice.
When I finished making myself look presentable, I headed downstairs and found the twins at the kitchen counter, chatting between themselves. Their chatter ceased when I walked in, with Wanda biting her lip and looking me up and down with satisfaction.
"I was right," was all she said, making me nervous. "You do look better in it than me."
The day after that, I did as I said I would and returned Wanda's shirt to her, washed, folded and ironed. Knowing she wouldn't accept it without a fight, I left it in her bag when she wasn't looking during class.
I should have expected her to approach me at my locker afterwards.
"It was supposed to be a gift," she said, and I saw her pretty face reflected in the mirror hung inside my locker.
I turned around, already knowing what she was talking about.
"I told you I couldn't accept," I said politely, giving her a small smile. "I appreciate it though." She seemed disappointed which obviously didn't help with my feelings for her, so I took a leap and added, "Maybe I can get my own at their next concert. In the summer, right?"
She picked up on what I meant and smiled, stifling a laugh. Running a hand through her hair, she met my gaze and I found myself frozen in place as always, unable to look away. I wondered if she knew what she was doing when she did that, knew that she was giving me heart palpitations every time her lips turned into a playful smirk and dark eyes studied me curiously.
My eyes drifted to her lips subconsciously and she must have put on some lip balm or something, prior to finding me just now, as they looked shiny and pink and just so damn kissable. Nate was one lucky guy.
Having faced issues with Nate three times now (AKA the three times he happened to launch a football at my head), I'd figured I wouldn't be seeing the last of him. He was a dick, meaning he had a natural inclination to piss people off, particularly me. But I never thought he'd go for Y/BF/N.
We were chilling by our lockers, chatting about his film project, when his books suddenly got knocked out of his hands and he was shoved against the lockers. I straightened up when I saw it was Nate, looking pissed off as he had Y/BF/N's shirt bundled in his fist.
"What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted, trying to shove him off, but he merely pushed me back.
"This isn't your business," he said to me before glaring at Y/BF/N, who was quiet with panic. "You. You've been hanging around my girlfriend and I don't like it."
The colour drained from Y/BF/N's face as Nate slammed his hand to the lockers beside his head, startling him.
"I want you to stay the fuck away from Wanda!" he ordered, and students were starting to pick up on the fight that was clearly about to break out. "You fucking hear me, you nerd? Stay the fuck away!"
Poor Y/BF/N nodded his head, eyes avoiding Nate's. Meanwhile, I was angrier than Nate probably was. Y/BF/N had done nothing wrong. Maybe Nate had just seen Wanda hanging with me and because Y/BF/N was always with me, assumed the worst. Either way, this was no way to handle the situation and I was not gonna let this dick threaten my friend.
"Get the fuck away from him, Nate," I said through gritted teeth, glaring a hole into the side of his head.
Nate barely glanced my way. "I told you this isn't your business, honey."
"Five seconds," I said, standing behind him as a crowd began to form. "You've got five seconds or I'm gonna kick you."
He seemed to ignore me as he tightened his grip on Y/BF/N's shirt, only pissing me off more.
"Five," I began to count down, the grip on my books tightening with nerves and anger. "Four."
He still didn't look my way, just kept slapping Y/BF/N's face to scare him.
"Three, two, one," I said quickly, tired of giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Without waiting anymore, I kicked him between the legs with full force, watching as he instantly let go of Y/BF/N and doubled over. Everybody began to laugh, some making 'ooh' noises, but the consensus was clear – it definitely sucked to be Nate right now.
I tried not to laugh as I watched his face scrunch with pain, turning red. I was starting to appreciate my choice of wearing my doc marten boots today.
"No more balls for the guy who keeps throwing them at my fucking head," I got out, jaw clenching.
He looked up, his face crossing with realisation as he recognised me. In response, he glared in my direction, but it didn't faze me.
"Come on, Y/BF/N," I said, looking to my startled friend. "Let's go."
"What on Earth is going on over here?!" a teacher's voice rang out in the distance, and I groaned internally.
When I turned to leave, I heard Nate from behind me, grunting with dissatisfaction.
"Fuckin' dyke," he mumbled under his breath, and I paused, clenching my fists.
"Y/N, don't–" Y/BF/N tried to stop me, but I was too pissed to care.
I spun around and punched Nate square in the face, feeling good as his smirking face scrunched in pain and his back hit the lockers from the impact.
"Woah!" a teacher came out of nowhere, shoving herself between us and pushing me away from him. "What the hell is going on here?!"
I shook my hand to ease the pain on my knuckles, though the pain couldn't stop the grin on my lips as Nate raised his hands to his face, holding his busted nose. Students were going crazy, egged on by the potential fight, and for once, I didn't mind the attention. Nate had that coming for a while now.
"Everybody back to class! Now!" the teacher yelled, glaring all around her, before her eyes settled on Nate and I. "You two. Nurse's office now."
Nate glared at me behind his bloody nose and, once again, I tried not to laugh. Y/BF/N patted my back, amazement written on his face, before letting me leave with the teacher and an unusually silent Nate.
Kicking Nate in the groin and punching him in the face wasn't something I did to get attention, yet that's exactly what happened. Word of the incident spread around the school quite quickly, so much in fact that even students from other grades became aware of the situation and were approaching me to tell me how awesome I was. The whole thing was definitely strange, but I could tolerate it.
What I couldn't tolerate was having Chemistry after lunch and wondering if Wanda knew.
Would she hate me for punching her boyfriend? I wasn't sure. I just knew that when she walked into class and sat next to me, I felt everyone's eyes subtly watching us as if waiting for her to explode at me.
I'd been given an ice pack for my bruised hand after my visit to the nurse's office earlier whilst Nate had been treated for his broken nose (the fact that I'd broken it was hilarious to me, since I knew I wasn't even that strong). The principal had a very angry yell at us both in his office, neither of us willing to reveal the premise of our fight, before giving us detention every day after school for two weeks straight as punishment. Of course, Nate got his two weeks at a different time to mine for fear I'd punch him again (he definitely didn't like that, but he couldn't exactly say that to to principal).
I didn't bother using the ice pack in Chemistry for fear Wanda may ask what was up. I successfully managed to hide my hand and as a second surprise of the day, Wanda mentioned nothing about the incident. Not one thing about her boyfriend, about Y/BF/N, about any of it. I thought she might hint at it, trying to get me to bring it up. But she didn't which made me think she actually had no idea it even happened. Had anyone told her? Had he told her? Nah, probably not. His fragile masculinity probably caused him to change the story to something else so he didn't look like a wimp in front of his girlfriend.
Whatever it was, I was safe for now.
Thinking I'd got away with a confrontation from Wanda, I went about the rest of my day as usual. Well, that was until I was replacing some books in my locker at the end of the day and saw Wanda at her locker behind me, arguing with– yep, you guessed it. Nate.
Y/BF/N was collecting some books from his own locker beside me and we both exchanged looks as we saw the two lovebirds in a heated argument. Just when we were about to leave, someone cleared their throat from behind us, making us turn around.
Wanda was stood there, backpack hanging from her shoulder, beside Nate, who looked like he would rather be anywhere else but here.
"Hi," he started quietly, making Wanda clear her throat. He glanced at her before looking to Y/BF/N. "Look, man, I'm really sorry about earlier. I was wrong about what I said. We cool?"
I tried not to laugh at the way Nate was being forced to apologise by his girlfriend. Y/BF/N glanced to me with questioning eyes, so I simply shrugged.
"I guess...," he finally answered Nate, still a little awkward.
Nate nodded before looking to me. He still had his reservations, judging from the twitch in his expression, but for Wanda's sake, he kept his cool.
"I'm sorry for treating you badly," he said reluctantly. "With the football and just generally."
God, it was so hard not to laugh in his face right now. His nose had gauze taped to it and it made him look like an idiot. I fake coughed to disguise my smile, before meeting his gaze.
"It's, er, cool," I said, not in the mood to be an arsehole to him, even though he deserved it. I'd punched him – I think we were equal for now.
He nodded, before staying quiet. Glancing to Wanda, he waited for her to say something. She rolled her eyes and nodded for him to leave. When he was gone, she sighed tiredly.
"I only heard about what happened after Chem class," she said, mainly to me, a guilty expression on her lips. "I'm so sorry he acted like a jerk."
I chewed my lip, unsure what to say.
"It's okay, Y/N here took care of it," Y/BF/N said, smiling with amusement at me. Okay, well now she definitely knew.
"Yeah, sorry you felt you had to do that," she said with a grimace. "I guess he deserved it though."
"Kind of," I agreed, before noticing the regretful frown on her lips. "He apologised though. It's already happened. I kinda broke his nose... No point in dwelling on it."
She smiled, though it didn't reach her eyes. "Yeah..." Her eyes fell to my bruised hand before lifting it gently. I winced at the ache, but let her hold it, studying the purple bruise painted across my knuckles. "That looks bad."
It felt good punching him though, but I wasn't about to say that since it was her boyfriend I was talking about.
"It's alright," I said dismissively, shrugging. "Nate kind of got it worse. I'll live."
The pad of her thumb stroked the bruise gently and I held my breath, the feeling of her hands holding mine sending shivers up my arm. Her eyes flickered to mine, softened with guilt, before she let go of my hand.
"I should head home," she said after a pause. "I'll see you both tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow," Y/BF/N said for both of us, sensing my loss of words.
Wanda held my gaze once more, eyes half lidded as they glanced down. Before I could even question what she was looking at, she waved goodbye and left.
"She's either starting to realise what a dick her boyfriend is or she's just really into you," Y/BF/N said, patting me on the back. "Maybe both, who knows?"
"You definitely cheated," I told Y/BF/N once we finished yet another round of air hockey. "Nobody wins six times in a row like that!"
He laughed at my expression. "Tell me, dear Y/N. How would I cheat? The concept of the game is simple, really. It's not my fault you're terrible."
I rolled my eyes lightheartedly. "Seventh time's the charm. C'mon."
He chuckled, about to put more money in the machine, before his eyes got distracted by something behind me. "Well, would you look at that. The Maximoff twins are here."
"Very funny," I said with a knowing look. "You can't throw me off like that. We've established I'm already terrible. Now c'mon. Let's go!"
"I wish I was joking," he said, shaking his head.
I scoffed, not believing him, and turned around to prove him wrong, but I was surprised when I saw Wanda and Pietro walking into the arcade we were in. They seemed to spot us instantly, waving in our direction before approaching us.
"Fancy seeing you here," Pietro teased with a smile as they stopped before us.
I cracked a smile as Y/BF/N joined my side. "We're hanging out. And you?"
Wrapping an arm around his sister's shoulder, he tugged Wanda close to him. "Sibling bonding time."
Wanda rolled her eyes at his childishness, but I could tell she found it endearing all the same.
"Well, if you want, you can hang with us," Y/BF/N offered, and we all looked to him, myself raising a brow his way. He seemed to sense my reluctance, it egging him on as he grinned at them. "Y/N doesn't mind. Do you, Y/N?"
I swallowed hard as I looked between the twins. "'Course not."
And that's how I found myself playing arcade games with the Maximoff twins that Saturday afternoon. It was actually pretty fun, with Pietro being as competitive as I was and Wanda being the sweetest loser with everything she played. It was so adorable, but I ended up letting her win some games of skee-ball just so I could see that cute nose scrunch of hers as she realised she'd won.
"You gonna let me win like that, too?" Pietro caught on as he took his sister's place in playing against me. He had a mischievous grin on his lips and I felt my mouth go dry at what he was implying.
"You wish," I said, playing it cool, though I wondered if he cared that I clearly let Wanda win. He wouldn't read into it, right?
Pietro took his go as he spoke. "So, I heard what happened with you and Nate at school last week."
I closed my eyes, cringing at the reminder. Pietro merely laughed.
"You kicked him super hard, right?" he asked excitedly. "I heard his face went so red with anger that you could fry an egg on it! And don't forget that punch, goddamn what I would pay to have seen that!"
"Pietro!" Wanda scolded from behind us as her and Y/BF/N played air hockey. "Don't be a tool!"
I felt my face heat up with embarrassment as Pietro continued to laugh. Y/BF/N joined in whilst Wanda tried to hide the smile dancing on her lips.
"You're not even together anymore," Pietro called to Wanda between laughter. Wait, did I hear that right?
"You and Nate broke up?" Y/BF/N asked with disbelief. "Our grade's 'it' couple broke up?"
Wanda ran a hand through her hair to distract from her flittering eyes. "He treated you horribly last week. Both of you." She glanced my way before looking at her shoes. "He was a jerk. It was long overdue... Also, I would have broken up with him there and then had I known what he'd said to you. I'm sorry he said what he did."
She stared at me with apologetic eyes and I wasn't sure what to say or do other than nod awkwardly and look away. The fact that she'd broken up with him put a smile on my face though.
"I just think it's awesome," Pietro admitted, before saluting playfully to me. "Thank you for your service. I knew you were awesome, but this is a whole new level."
I sighed, attempting to hide my smile, before straightening up to play. Pietro and I played some skee-ball before I decided to have a go at the claw machine. Wanda was at the one beside me, attempting to win herself a fluffy black cat plush toy. She'd had three goes before giving up, admitting to defeat.
"Typical Wanda," Pietro teased. "Giving up when the going gets tough."
She punched him in the arm, making him jump and rub it. That elicited a smile from her, making me laugh at their immaturity.
"How about Wanda and I go and get a table in the diner next door whilst you finish up winning whatever it is you're trying to win?" Y/BF/N asked, looking to me, as if assigning blame.
"I already told you, I'm not leaving this machine until I win at least one thing," I stated stubbornly.
"The amount of money you've put into the machine won't make up for whatever you win," Y/BF/N teased with amusement.
"Just go," I said, waving my hand dismissively. "I'll be there soon."
"I'll wait with her," Pietro said, resting a hand on my shoulder, making me shrug him off jokingly. "See you soon," he added with a laugh, to his sister and Y/BF/N.
When they left, I looked to Pietro with an amused smile. "I don't need you to look after me, y'know."
He shrugged and looked through the glass of the claw machine. "I know. But I stayed to give you some advice, princess."
"Oh, really? And what advice is that?" I asked, before putting some coins in the machine to have another go.
"People usually tend to win these things for people they like, right?" he asked, nodding to the plush toys in the machine.
"Or for themselves," I corrected with a curious smile. "Take Wanda for example. How badly did she want that cat?"
He crossed his arms, smiling with amusement. "You could win it for her, y'know."
"What?" I asked, half paying attention as I attempted to grab a teddy bear.
"Win the cat for my sister and give it to her?"
I ended up dropping the teddy from the claw as I looked to Pietro with shock. He laughed at my expression, leaning against the machine.
"You do like her, right? Otherwise this is awkward," he added as an afterthought, looking down and smiling to himself.
My jaw hung open. "I– er– I never really– I don't–"
"She must definitely like you," Pietro noted, glancing at me.
I licked my lips as I found my words. "Did she," I cleared my throat, "did she say something?"
"Well, no," he said, "but she looks like she wants to murder me every time I hang out with you."
"That's just a coincidence," I said, shaking my head and looking back to the machine. "She's not–" I thought about, before shaking my head again. "No."
I appreciated Pietro's help, but Wanda definitely didn't like me like that. She was just protective of her brother and friendly to me. It didn't mean anything.
"Look, you don't have to listen to me," he said, straightening up and looking at the machine as I slotted another coin in. "But you could give it a shot. See what happens."
I glanced at him, his blue eyes watching me knowingly, a matching smirk on his lips.
"Fine," I gave in, hoping it wouldn't backfire. "Let's see what happens..."

Just "often" small-scene part 2
Tumblr media
Guys.... PART TWO!!!! I wrote this on a whim, barely edited, and I appreciate so much all your comments that I got carried away and there WILL BE a part 3/final part coming up shortly. thank you SO MUCH for all your appreciation these last few days, it means so much to me. Truly made my week! Make sure to check out my masterlist if you like this one :) and don't forget to tell me what your thoughts are!
Tagging list: @meher-sumedha @onemorenightdreamer @chubbygabs @imsointobooks @shadowhunters-trove @vikingmagic33 @trashforazriel
Gwyn didn't know what in the Cauldron had gotten into her tonight. If anyone should ask, she'd freeze. It must have been the tenth time in an hour she'd stare at the Shadowsinger from afar, their last conversation echoing in her mind as she took in his appearance. His all-black tux, neatly cut and framing his broad shoulders was a stark contrast against the white and gold background, his usually ruffled raven hair elegantly combed back. If she went to Mor and thanked her for throwing herself a birthday party all of a sudden would it be too obvious she was referring to how strikingly beautiful the Shadowsinger looked tonight?
"Ogling much, sister?"
Nesta's voice startled her from her thoughts. She half-spun, hand in heart, and felt her face heat as she met her friend's inquisitive stare.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She gave her best confident voice, one she'd spent months, years even, honing.
Nesta saw straight through her.
"Right" She scoffed in return, "Explain to me then why have you and Azriel spent the whole night staring after one another like two idiots?"
Gwyn rolled her eyes, but said nothing. Instead, she just sighed, controlling the urge to look for him once again, currently immersed in conversation with Rhysand in the farthest corner of Rita's.
"Gwyn, look" Nesta approached a waitress who was passing by and got them two glasses of sparkling wine, "You know I'm here for you, right? You can talk to me about anything"
She smiled at her friend's kind words, and enlaced one arm around her shoulder in thanks: "I know. It's just..."
Something within her stirred as she thought it over. She could indeed trust Nesta, she had no shadow of a doubt about it, but... Would this be the best moment to discuss it? Shouldn't she wait until they'd both be out of those dresses and into training leathers, or a more private nook of the House's library?
And what would she say, anyway? That she was starting to acknowledge her slowly growing feelings for the Spymaster of the Night Court, one of Prythian's most feared males? That she was maybe developing a teensy-tinsy crush over her training instructor, her friend? And that she had just openly flirted with him, only to be greeted with the fact that he flirted back?
Nesta was still waiting for her answer, so she just leaned her head on her sister's, opting for honesty after all: "I flirted with Azriel", she murmured, her temple still pressed against Nesta's, gaze far away, for some reason not being able to meet her silver eyes. "And he... Reciprocated it, I guess."
She heard the female chuckle, a loud one, for that matter, and that made her break their embrace:
"You guess?" Nesta repeated knowingly, eyebrows raised and a playful smirk on display. Her cunning eyes shone silver flames, "Gwyn, it's painfully obvious how much you two care for each other."
"Of course we care for each other, we're friends." Gwyn spatted back, her drink long forgotten in her hand.
Nesta only sighed, "You know that's not what I meant." Her smile grew tender, "You should go for it. You deserve to be happy, Gwyn. You both do."
Before Gwyn could say another word, Nesta raised her hand "I know, I know. You're gonna say something in the lines of that you don't need a male to be happy. And I agree with you."
She stiffled back a laugh, and rolled her eyes as the female continued her speech, "But seeing the way you two look at each other", Nesta leaned over and winked, "The way he is looking at you right now..." Gwyn swallowed and forced another drink of her sparkling wine, the burning stare of the Shadowsinger from across the room almost palpable, "You shouldn't be ashamed of making a move, Gwyn. You should go after what you want for yourself. After all, you're here now, right?"
The reality of her words almost overwhelmed her. She could, no, would do it. She'd come this far already. She'd overcome most of her fears of walking on the streets of Velaris, of leaving the Library, of visiting public places such as this. She was even bold enough to hint her feelings for the Spymaster, to expose herself this way.
I am the rock against which the surf crashes.
She didn't even realize she'd said it out loud until Nesta's voice sounded from next to her, pride filling every word, "Yes, you are. Now go."
She barely felt as Nesta removed her drink from her hand and placed it on a nearby table. Her eyes were already finding Azriel's through the crowd, her chest puffing out in a big inhale as his hazel gaze grounded and drowned her at the same time.
And she wasn't sure if she started walking first or he did, gravity drawing them closer and closer with each step.
She wasn't sure if he reached her first or if she did, enveloping her arms around his shoulders, feeling the weight of his hands around her back, breaths mingling, whiskey meeting sparkling wine, music fading out in the background as her lips found his.
What she knew was what had gotten into her tonight. What she had in her all along.
Courage.

sneaking out - ririka momobami x gn reader
Tumblr media
summary - ririka is left alone in the momobami mansion once again. she's planning on just sitting around and reading until kirari returns home. until you show up at her window and convince her to sneak out.
ririka is home alone. with her parents rarely being present and kirari often having to go to deal with business, she's often left to sit alone in the large mansion, reading or doing work until somebody returns home to order her around.
that was what she was planning to do on this evening. her parents, as always, were away. kirari was staying at the school to deal with some council affairs. so she was alone in her home. she had already accomplished all of her work for the evening, so she decided to spend the rest of the evening reading.
after choosing some generic book from the momobami mansions library (something about the history of gambling, no doubt containing the same facts and stories she'd read a hundred times) she decided to sit in one of the lounge rooms on the bottom floor of the mansion. this way she would know straight away if kirari happened to return home early.
some time after she had settled into one of the chairs, and began making progress with the book, she heard a faint tapping. she wondered for a moment if it could be kirari trying to mess with her, but when she checked the antique clock in the room it read 8:00 pm, much too early for kirari to be home. she heard the tapping sound again, and this time she looked around. when she looked at the window, she spotted your face through the glass. she was surprised for a minute, but when you beckoned her over to the window, she got up out of her seat and made her way to open it. she opened the window.
"y/n? what are you doing here?" she asked, surprised to find you outside her house at this time.
"well I came to see you! I'm not about to let my girlfriend spend the night in her house alone!" you replied, leaning against the windowsill and smiling at her.
"b-but it's so late! and how did you know I'd be home alone?" she was secretly very happy you'd been so thoughtful, she turned her head to hide her growing blush.
"I overheard kirari discussing some plans with sayaka earlier, they were talking about how they'd have to stay at the school late for them." you told her, shrugging. "and who cares how late it is? night time is the most fun time!!" you added enthusiastically.
"o-oh, I see...so, what do you plan on d-doing tonight?" she asked, curious to see if you had any actual plans for the night.
"oh, I was thinking I'd just hang around outside your window for a few hours, its pretty comfortable here y'know." you joked, and ririka couldn't help but giggle at your silliness. the sound of her laughter warmed your heart.
"haha...but really, what are we going to do?" ririka asked, still giggling.
"I was thinking we could just go for a little night-time stroll! watch the stars, dance in the moonlight, have fun!" you explained enthusiastically.
ririka was reminded of old romance novels she had read before. still, she couldn't help but appreciate your playfulness. your carefree, idealistic nature is what she likes about you. after a life of always being on edge, and being made to fit a strict image by her whole family, she's glad to have someone to be free with.
"so, what do you say riri?" you smiled at her hopefully. she couldn't possibly say no. but she was still worried. what would happen if kirari came home and ririka wasn't in the house? how would she explain? she knew her sister cared for her, but would she punish her in some way for leaving the house? if she told her the truth, would she disapprove of you, and get you into trouble at school?
"b-but y/n, my sister- if she comes home we could both get into troubl-" she started to ramble about her worries, but you cut her off.
"don't worry about that ririka!! your sister loves you, she wouldn't do anything to upset you, right? besides, it'll be so worth it, it'll be fun, I promise!" you smiled at her and took her hand to reassure her.
"o-okay...I'm sure you're right-" she smiled back at you softly.
with that, you helped her out of the window and onto the ground.
"s-so, where are we going now?" she asked, holding onto your arm lightly.
"ehh..." you looked around for a moment, considering which way to go, "how about...that way?" you pointed in the direction of the moon in the sky.
"sounds nice...l-let's go!" she agreed enthusiastically, smiling wide at you. you smiled back, leading her as she gripped your hand tightly.

The doorbell rang, and Y/N rushed to answer it. She opened the door to reveal a smiling Sokka. He was your best friend, so he normally showed up unannounced once in a while.
"Hey, Y/N!" he said.
"Hi, Sokka! What brings you here?"
"Knowing you, you probably haven't had dinner yet?" She nodded with a laugh. "Wanna get something to eat?"
It was past dinnertime, and she still wasn't hungry... In fact, the thought of food made her nauseous. Y/N nodded anyways, and Sokka smiled, getting his car keys out of his pocket.
Driving past the streets, the two blasted music out of the car's speakers, and Sokka sang along to all of the pop songs on the radio. Y/N laughed at the silly expression Sokka had on his face, even though the music was way too loud; it was honestly giving her a headache, but it was okay. She looked out the window to see Zuko, another close friend, heading out of the Jasmine Dragon. He must've just finished work...
"Oh, it's Zuko!" she chirped, giving him a wave. Sokka said nothing, his singing quieting down to silence, but he pulled over anyways to say hi. He parked his car, and the two hopped out.
“Y/N!” Zuko ran over with a huge grin on his face, waving his hand as a greeting. “Nice to see you again! Oh... hi Sokka.” Zuko’s cheerful smile slowly morphed into one of distaste when he noticed that she had been with Sokka.
“Hey, Zuko,” Sokka acknowledged. Y/N turned to see that Sokka’s face also fell when his eyes met Zuko’s. Sokka slung an unnecessary protective arm over her shoulders, and Y/N cleared her throat to clear up the growing tension. Shaking Sokka’s arm off, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Is it cold out here or is it just me?" Y/N blurted, causing Zuko and Sokka to look at each other worriedly. Sokka pulled off his jacket to throw it onto her. He zipped it up, and met her eyes.
"It's not cold at all... you feeling okay?" Y/N nodded slowly, signaling that she was okay, so Zuko and Sokka dropped the subject. She could have sworn it was chilly out.
"Anyways," Sokka continued, heading into his car, "wanna go grab dinner together or something?” The other two nodded, also following Sokka into the car. Y/N hopped into the passenger seat, and Zuko was stuck in the back seats. She could tell he wasn’t happy with her sitting next to Sokka, but she ignored it. They were just being plain childish, and it was giving her a headache.
“Oh, Y/N,” Sokka started. “I went to-”
"Sokka, go left," Zuko interuppted. Sokka sighed and turned the wheel, following through with Zuko’s command.
As the car turned, it pushed Y/N to the side of the car, forcing her to lean on the car door. Deciding not to get up, she nuzzled closer to the car window, her warm breath fogging it up. She blinked, trying to stop the growing sleepiness clouding her head.
Y/N heard Sokka ramble on about his day in the background, and her eyes closed for a second... just a second. She was just so... exhausted...
Tumblr media
"Hey... Y/N? Are you asleep?" Sokka's voice asked softly. He poked her side, making her slightly stir awake. She tried to lift her heavy eyelids. Wow, she felt so sluggish.
"What, is Sokka boring?" Zuko laughed, as Sokka gasped, offended. "I should have been the one driving next to her."
"Y/NNN- how could you fall asleep in the middle of my story?" Sokka shook Y/N awake with his free arm. "Come on, you can't leave me with Zuko."
"Hmm?" Y/N hummed quietly, letting them know she was awake. Her voice was raspy; she had a sore throat, but the boys seemed to wave it off as a symptom of sleepiness.
"Am I too boring for you?" Sokka asked.
"No, of course no-"
"So you're saying you'd be with Sokka rather than me?" Zuko accused.
"N-no-"
"So you'd rather be with Zuko?"
"What? You guys are arguing for no reason," she mumbled, but the two boys ignored her.
"Of course she'd rather be with me; she's just too nice to say that to your face," Sokka argued, his voice increasing in volume.
"No, then why would she fall asleep while you were talking? You're boring." Zuko's voice was also loud.
"Please stop," Y/N whispered, rubbing her temples, and this gesture didn’t go unnoticed. Sokka and Zuko froze at once, watching her with concern.
"You have a headache? Are you sick?" Sokka asked immediately. Y/N sighed and nodded.
"Is... that why you fell asleep- because you were sick?" Zuko added, and Y/N nodded again weakly, and sighed. Sokka reached out next to him and put his hand on her forehead.
"Y/N, you're burning up..." Sokka gasped.
"Let me see," Zuko mumbled, placing his hand on her forehead. He sighed. "Y/N, you feel really warm."
"I'm so sorry for waking you up- it would have been better for you to stay asleep," Sokka apologized.
"No, no. It's my fault." She shivered, pulling Sokka's jacket tighter. “If I knew I was sick, I shouldn’t have come with you guys.”
"Here, have my jacket, too." Zuko wrapped his jacket over her as well, draping it over her shoulders.
"She doesn't need more than one, Zuko," Sokka scoffed quietly. "Anyways, we can go home if you'd like?"
"Oh, no, don't worry about me! We can go get dinner or something, it's just a headache. It'll go away," she reassured them.
"I don't know..." Zuko said. "Maybe we can get something to eat at your house?" Sokka turned around, heading back towards Y/N's home.
"I agree, you need rest." Sokka looked at her in the mirror. "Sorry to break it to ya, but you don't look so good."
"Okay... if that's alright..." she said, and Sokka smiled.
Everyone arrived at Y/N's house, and Zuko helped you out.
"Shall we?" he asked, gently grabbing your hand.
"C'mon, Y/N," Sokka said, glaring at Zuko. He grabbed your other hand, and pulled you along.
"Y/N," Zuko muttered.
"Zuko, let go of her," Sokka said, warningly.
"Who do you think I am? I don't have to listen to you," Zuko snapped back.
"You guys are driving me insane, can't you both just shut up and get along?" Her voice now matched theirs in volume, and the two stopped arguing, looking apologetic.
Boy, were you lightheaded all of a sudden. She staggered on her feet, and she buried her face in her hands. Not now...
"What's wrong?" Sokka's voice immediately asked.
"Are... are we scaring you? We promise it's not going to get too serious..." Zuko sounded concerned. She could feel both of the boys' arms hovering around her body, trying to protect her, catch her if she fell, or give her reassurance.
"No, no..." she breathed. "I'm.. fine..." With that, she promptly passed out.
Tumblr media
Both boys rushed to be the one who caught Y/N. Zuko scooped her up into his arms, and he carried her into her room, leaving Sokka alone.
Zuko gently laid her down onto her bed, pulling the blanket over her. With a swift kiss that he was tempted to do all evening, he got up and headed out the door.
"Well..." he said, glancing at Sokka. The atmosphere was now awkward, and neither boy was going to leave for a while...
Tumblr media
Y/N woke up, and judging from her headache and how warm she felt, she wasn't any better. Groaning, she got out of bed, expecting to be alone, but she was wrong.
She opened her eyes to see two boys asleep on the couch. They had stayed...
Medicine was laid out for her on the counter, and she gladly took it.
"Y/N?" Zuko's voice croaked, making her jump.
"Oh, hey... I wasn't expecting you two to stay..." she said, and he rolled his eyes.
"Of course we stayed... you feeling better?" Concern was written all over his face.
"I still feel like trash..." she answered truthfully.
"Maybe I can kiss it better," Sokka said with a small, playful smile, now awake as well, and she laughed.
"Anyways, thank you both..." She gave a quick kiss on both of their foreheads, making both of them blush. "Now, get some rest at home... I'll be fine."
"No way, I'm staying," both said at the same time. Y/N sighed; there was no way of getting rid of them, and she loved them for that.
"Do you need anything?" Sokka asked, getting up to get her some water.
"Nah, I'm alright... we can watch a movie, though?" She flopped onto the couch, in between the two boys. She turned on the classic Meet the Robinsons and laid back.
Both boys rested their heads on her shoulders, and she laughed.
"You two are idiots, you're going to get sick." They shrugged, and she smiled.
