I'm doing that Nikolai chart reading finally, IDK these are fun lol
Tumblr media
His looks kinda cray cray btw but it's kinda similar to mine in someway so maybe it's why I relate to his literature lol
Tumblr media
So to start off with - he has a LOT of aspects towards his sun, and his chiron squaring his ascendant. Im just mentioning this first cuz it relates to both the author and the character since they both had identity issues in life, and with your sun heavily aspected it does lead to a feeling of "otherness" in someone. This was a pretty big part of his life and work, so it's worth mentioning.
He has a scorpio ascendant, which could lead to a sort of strange impression people get when first meeting him - he also has a stellium with Uranus, Saturn and Neptune, which all add completely different energies to this. 2 are in Saggitarius, so he might come off as less 'welcoming' and with a leo in the 10th house it does add to the entertaining persona he had in real life and in the show (he was called a funny midget by his school friends when he was younger).
His second house is in Saggitarius, and with the ruler jupiter lying in the 5th house (which he did his work in) he did end up travelling a lot for his job. This isn't always an indicator of travel tbh, but he did gain value from this in his life.
The ruler of his 3rd house is also in the 1st, which means that his sense of identity as a writer is tied to himself. It's also in saggittarius, which probably adds that energy to how he communicated in life (he's a silly guy what can I say)
His 4th house has pluto which tbh is rather ominious (i have this it's a give or take) - he was bullied as a child, but made only a couple of long lasting friendships (something very scorpio like)
Nikolai also has mercury here and he a novice writer back when he was young. He wrote a lot for his fathers theatre and tried to write his own poems book and get it published but it failed, miserably - this was probably a pluto lesson but it was also a mercury one as well.
His 5th house has both his sun and his jupiter - his father owned a theatre and it's where Nikolai started, so he was born pretty lucky there. He also has a large sense of identity in literature and writing, since his sun in this house centers his life here - the arts kind of was meant for him.
His 6th house house is an aries house, the ruler of which is in the 12th - unfortunately that means a lot of the work and routines he has can be rather chaotic, and maybe even secretive. It's also the house of odd jobs, which he did do - both in the show and irl.
Fun fact about IRL Nikolai, but he got a position as a history professor for a year and sucked balls at it. IDK if it's related to the 12th house entirely but it's kind of funny, since BSD Nikolai would do that too.
7th house venus might be an indication of how he thought about his relationships - might also be an indication of him being gay but idk thats jumping. We just know that he was, so that could be a sign. He never married or had children btw, so take all of those "oh your 5th house and 7th house mean you'll have kids" things with a grain of salt fr. I honestly think this just means he was rather zesty guy in his friendships - he had strong ones throughout his life, and also ended up killing himself because of some spiritual guy saying he was sinful (this is the house of open enemies afterall).
Also back to BSD, look at how he treats Fyodor bro.
His 10th house is in leo, which means that his career of an entainer was pretty fitting here. IDK not much to say, it fits him honestly.
11th house is in virgo with a libra moon - which is kind of sad, since despite being rejected so much by Russian society, he was someone who took a lot of emotional energy to actually communicate with others, especially friends (moon opposite sun might have this affect tbh, since his ego and self opposes his emotional well being)
12th house house seems to be a part of his downfall - he clearly is spritual, both in the show and IRL. Mars is weakened here, meaning that the drive someone would usually get from this planet is rather struggling because it's filled with that wishy washy pisces energy - which is why despite the planet being in libra, the 12 house energy might make any mars emotions seem more watery.
BSD Nikolai really got it spot on cuz wtf this dude needs to chill tf out sometimes.
Also, the north node is here, meaning his purpose lies here - which is great for him being a writer. Also not great when you take into account other factors, like his death and life having such oddities, honestly a lot of them outside of his control.
BSD Nikolai kind of shows this, he doesn't have a backstory besides being obsessed with Fyodor and a more empty purpose tbh.
IDK. Shit's wack. His is all over the place tbh.
He clearly is a guy who has a strong identity with what he's doing - entertainment, writing. But when it comes to the smaller details, like love and the self, there seems to be a big gap - he's drawn sort of all over the place. He also suffers from a chronic case of 'being unlikable' since no matter what happens, some government official has it out for him. Even stalin didn't like him and he was dead for like decades at that point.
BSD Nikolai reflects him pretty well tbh.

How to Break a Heart
pairing: Luke Castellan x Fem!Aphrodite!Reader
summary: Y/N's mother gives her a deadline on when she needs to break her first love's heart, but Y/N isn't in love. Luckily Luke has a plan to fool the goddess; they'll pretend to be in love, and Y/N can break his heart. But these plans never go accordingly.
word count: 4341
warnings: betrayal, no comfort but there is still fluff for most of it
notes: luke castellan has taken over my life i have like 9 drafts so we'll see how this goes (i'm always scared to post for a new character so any love is appreciated greatly)
part 2
masterlist
"How did it go?" Luke asked as Y/N walked out of the Aphrodite cabin. Her mother had requested an IM with her, and Luke had waited outside for her. Y/N didn't look too happy, but she never did after a talk with her mom.
"She thinks it's time." Y/N said, and as much as he wished he could read her mind, he had no idea what she was talking about.
"For what?" He asks, following as she begins to walk into the woods. It's clear she just needs to be on a walk to be away from everyone else, but she's letting him tag along.
"She said it's an embarrassment that I'd become an adult and still hadn't broken my love's heart." She says. "But I haven't fallen in love with anyone yet, and I don't wanna break some innocent person's heart." She stops talking when they reach the river, sitting on the wet ground. He thinks about his pants real quick and then sits next to her, wanting to give her his support.
"She gave you a time limit?" Luke asks, knowing the answer. The Aphrodite kids didn't usually go on quests, but this was a quest of its own. She knew the gods couldn't resist making things more difficult.
"Yeah. Four months. As if I could fall in love with someone in that time, let alone here." She grabs a rock and throws it into the current, the splash barely touching them.
"Maybe you don't have to." Luke whispered, looking at her. She turned to him, brows furrowed as she rested her head against her bent knees.
"I don't think my mom is gonna let it slide any further than she already has. The truth is, I've been putting this off for years. She's wanted me to break some pour soul's heart for two years now. Every time she's visited me, it's always 'what about that Hephestas boy?' or 'that Apollo kid looks so nice now.' I don't wanna know what she'll do if I disobey." Y/N admits, taking a deep breath.
"That's not what I meant." Luke smirked, causing Y/N to frown.
"What are you talking about, then?" She asks, sitting up and looking at him face on.
"If we pretend that we're in love - I mean, put on a whole show that convinces the whole camp," Luke says it quietly, as if Aphrodite may be listening to them right now.
"Then I can 'break' your heart and please my mom without actually hurting anyone!" She says excitedly, watching as Luke nods. "You're a genius!" She cried, throwing her arms around Luke. She was so happy to have this weight lifted off her shoulders. He held her back, and it felt nice for a moment.
"So, what's the story?" Y/N asked, leaning back and pulling her knees up and leaning on them gently now, instead of hiding behind them.
"We just have to pretend to be dating. I invited you over here to ask you out, so we'll walk back to camp holding hands." He said it so simply, she just nodded.
"What about kissing? Won't they get suspicious?" She asked, making Luke chuckle.
"We can figure that out later." He told her, and she just nodded. "For now, we only have to convince our friends."
"And the olympians." She shrugged.
"Only your mom. The rest of them won't care." Luke told her, standing up. He reached out a hand to help her up, and she took it. He then switched hands to hold her's, interlacing their fingers. Y/N had held hands with many boys, being a daughter of Aphrodite, but for some reason Luke's felt different. She was holding the hand he used to fight with his sword, calloused but somehow smooth. She looked at him, and for a moment she wondered if this would work. It was crazy to lie to a god, even if the goddess was her mother. Could she really pretend to be in love and break his heart? Would they still be friends afterward?
Luke squeezed her hand and smiled, and she felt relief flow through her. If there was anyone who could pull this off, it was Luke.
"We got this." He told her, and she nodded.
They walked to camp, hand in hand, and Y/N knew immediately that this idea would work.
"Oh my God!" Her sister Silena called, immediately seeing Luke and Y/N. "Uh, I knew it!" And Y/N pushed down the urge to roll her eyes. She could have come out of the woods with anyone and Silena would have claimed to have seen it coming.
And just like that, everyone knew they were together.
For about a month, they got away with just hand holding, hanging out a little more than regular, going on a couple night walks. But on one of their night walks, Luke brought up what she had been thinking.
"We have to kick it up. If we want people to think we really fell in love in four months, we have to be inseparable." He told her.
"Silena has already caught on. We have to make it look like we got caught doing something." She had been thinking about it, not wanting to go there, but they both knew there was no way around this. They had to make it believable. Everyone had to believe them for this to work.
"The Hermes cabin." Luke nodded, but Y/N furrowed her brows.
"But your cabin is like, never empty." She told him, concerned.
"Anyone who finds us in the Hermes cabin will tell everyone immediately. And we will get found basically as soon as we're in there." He had definitely thought about this.
"We'll get in trouble." She tells him, looking to the side at the water.
"Us getting in trouble for getting caught in a cabin alone together?" He smirks, squeezing her hand. "Yeah, I'm sure your mom will be really angry." When she turned to him he was smiling, and she couldn't help but smile back.
"You're a genius." She almost kisses him, because that's what she would do in the situation, but then she remembered they're not actually dating. She was almost embarrassed, but then she realized.
"We can't do this without ramping our relationship up a bit." She tells him, and he thinks for a second. He turns to the trees, and the smile is on his face once more.
"The younger kids are watching." He whispered, making her blush. Of course their younger siblings would be watching their romantic walk. "If it's okay with you," He mutters stopping and turning to her. He takes her other hand. "I can kiss your cheek. Or we," She drops is hands and grabs his face, bringing his lips to hers. She knew they'd have to kiss in front of everyone sooner or later, and clearly Luke was freaking out a little bit. She felt his hands go to her torso, high above her waist but just a little below her bra line. It made her heart race just a little bit.
Their lips moved in tandem, much more than any first kiss she's ever had before. She forgot everything as one of her hands slipped from his face to his chest. One of his slipped to her lower back, the other going to the back of her head. They broke for one second to reposition, but for some reason it was too much for her. She curled her fingers into his orange Camp Half-Blood shirt and brought him closer once more. She could feel him smile as he curled his fingers in her hair to position her better.
All too quickly, they separated. Y/N blinked a couple times, trying to clear her brain.
"I think they got the hint." He tells her, and she could only stare at him and try to figure out what he just said.
"Yeah," She whispered, realizing he was talking about their rouse. Of course, the only reason they had kissed was to get the camp talking. "They'll definitely be talking about that."
She didn't want to think about how upset she was, or why she was upset. This was fake - everything with Luke was fake.
"We should head back before Chiron comes and puts us on probation or something." She said, watching him nod. She let him lead her back to her cabin, where he gave her a kiss and a wink outside her door.
She was in trouble.
~
The next day, they met up to watch the kids make friendship bracelets. Luke had already made a deal with Travis, and no one noticed when the two left.
"We have a couple minutes until everyone comes in." He tells her, and she nods. He walks over to his bed, the single one in the corner of the huge cabin. Y/N has never seen it completely empty, and when she looks around it seems too quiet.
"How do you wanna," She mutters, heart pounding. She's nervous, and it's obvious.
"Hey," His voice is quiet, and she looks over at him. "We don't have to do anything that you don't wanna do." His hand goes to her har, pushing her hair out of her face a little bit. She had to force herself not to look away.
"We have to." She mutters, a sad frown on her face. They both knew she didn't have a choice for this.
"But we can just get caught alone." He assures her, sitting back on his bed. Y/N stays where she is.
"No, it has to be more. We have to convince everyone." She is convincing herself too, that she has to do this. She doesn't go on quests, and this isn't even courageous. This is something her siblings do for fun. She can do it for her mother.
"Okay," He tells her, grabbing her hands. She's about to ask how they should be set up, but then there's footsteps on the stairs. Before she can think, she practically pounces on Luke. She's straddling him, pressing him against the bed. Their hands became untangled and his go to her waist, lower than their first kiss. She hears the door open, and her heart freezes.
What are they doing?
Before she can mess up the entire plan, Luke leans up and presses their lips together. She doesn't know what to do with her hands, just letting them hold her up while Luke's venture under her shirt.
"Oh my gods!" Y/N and Luke separate with wide eyes. They were planning on getting caught, but not by her.
"Annabeth?" Luke whispers, turning to see his sister in the doorway, hand over her eyes.
"Shit," Y/N curses, getting up. She realizes her shirt is all scrunched, so she pulls it down.
"What a weird camp." The kid next to Annabeth says. Y/N notices him for the first time, a short kid that looked like he was enjoying this drama. He has to be new, because she's never seen him around and definitely never with Annabeth.
"This is strange." Ananbeth crosses her arms and squints. Y/N feels like she can see right through them.
"Oh, Chiron is not gonna be happy." The kid says, smiling. Before Y/N can argue that neither of them would tell the centaur, he walks up behind them.
"That assumption would be correct, Mr. Jackson." She has to remind herself that this was the plan, that they wanted to get caught.
"Chiron," Y/N says, looking up at him as he walks into the wide door frame. Annabeth and the kid move to let him in, also showing Y/N and Luke the amount of people behind him, waiting to see the
"This is unexpected from you two." He says, and Y/N can feel herself second guessing this plan. She doesn't like to be scolded by Chiron. Luke grabs her hand as if he knew what she was thinking.
"We're sorry, Chiron." Luke started, taking a deep breath.
"But we're not kids anymore," Y/N starts, the confidence coming from no where. "And sometimes we need time on our own." She can feel everyone's eyes on her, including Luke's.
"We can talk about this in the Big House." Chiron was clearly peeved, but she knew he couldn't get that mad. Everyone knew why Luke and Y/N stayed even though they were the oldest campers; they would be dead in the real world.
"You're up to something." Annabeth says as everyone leaves.
"I'm always up to something." Luke smirks before looking at the new kid. "I'm Luke."
"I'm Percy." The kid says, looking over at Y/N.
"Y/N." She nods, a small smile on her face. She looked at Annabeth, who knew something was up. She had to ramp it up.
She put a hand on Luke's shoulder and kissed his cheek, squeezing his hand and leaving. It had to be enough for now.
~
As it turned out, Annabeth went on a quest a couple weeks later, so they didn't need to worry about convincing her. But Luke was practically sick with worry for her wellbeing, and Y/N wasn't much better. Her deadline was coming up, and she was actually dreading it.
She was enjoying Luke's presence, enjoying the touches and the attention. She knew it was her mother's powers making her feel this way, but part of it was just her. She actually looked forward to waking up and going to see Luke. She thought about the night that they had fallen asleep in the warm sand, his chest cushioning her head. His arms were around her, and when they were caught in the morning she didn't even care about Chiron's second warning. Luke had snuck them desert anyway.
It helped calm her down from worrying about the kids on a quest, the fate of which would in turn decide the fate of Camp Half-Blood. She hated the feeling of war in the air, the campers fighting. Luke's comfort helped that situation as well. He would always grab her close, making her anxiety calm down and her mind quiet. She had taken to hanging out with him away from everyone's eyes, aside from plans to get caught. They would lay in the strawberry fields, looking at the clouds. Sometimes she would fall asleep, giving away the fact that she couldn't sleep in her own bed at night. As soon as Luke realized this, he made the Aphrodite cabin swear to secrecy when he would sneak in. They were great at keeping secrets when it helped their sister's love life, and her health. She had gotten so used to Luke sleeping in her bed, it was weird to think there was a time when he wasn't.
The first time it happened, she had almost jumped out of her skin.
It was right before the kids left, when everyone started to get uneasy about the Lightning Bolt. She had made a random comment that day when her and Luke were sitting on the dock, because she was too tried from her lack of sleep. They had been 'dating' for two months now, and even before she would tell him these things as his best friend. She had almost fallen asleep with her head resting against his shoulder, and he had shaken her awake. She stumbled to her cabin, not even wanting to tell her siblings about the night, but she couldn't sleep.
Everyone knew she had problems sleeping, so they tried to be as quiet as possible. They let her keep her window open, even though it dried their skin. And though her body was absolutely begging her to sleep, her mind wouldn't turn off.
She jumped out of her skin when she heard Luke's low voice.
"Thank the gods your window is already open." She shot up, heart racing. She looked over to see Luke climbing in. "And also thank the gods you live on the bottom bunk." His voice was so quiet she could barely hear, but at least she knew her siblings wouldn't hear. She knew they would never tell Chiron, since they loved a good relationship.
"What are you doing?" She asked, eyes wide and a smile playing on her face. His scar shown in the moonlight as he sat on the windowsill, taking off his shoes. He handed them to her, and she put them down gently on the ground before lowering himself down on her bed.
"I'm gonna help you sleep." He told her, looking at her in a way that made her heart race just a little. Even in the little privacy, where no one could see them, he was caring for her.
"You don't have to." She turned her head down, feeling self conscious in her bonnet. He smiled at her.
"I want to."
The two settled in, Y/N lifting up the covers for Luke to come under. They switched positions so she could sleep next to the wall, his arms around her immediately. She felt so secure and safe in his arms, more relaxed than she had felt in weeks. He settled his face against her head, giving the softest kiss to her forehead. So soft she was questioning it as her mind drifted away.
When she woke up, she was in his arms. The sun was up, and it was much later than she had woken up in the past month.
"Tell him I went on a walk. And she's sick." Luke was whispering, his voice rumbling in his chest that Y/N was laying against. Given the small size of the bed, they were entangled. Her legs were fused with his, her torso stuck between the wall and Luke's body. Her hand was entangled into his sleep shirt, and she didn't untangle it because that would have given up that she was awake. And she wanted to stay like this a little longer.
And she was enjoying the warm light and the nice morning.
"You know he'll come in here anyway." A boy was saying, but Y/N didn't want to listen. Without thinking, she rubbed her face into Luke's shirt, trying to get more comfortable. She rubbed a leg against his, shifting and sighing.
"If you wake her up," Luke's voice sounded venomous, and it made her start to smile a little. Her head felt so light but also so heavy in a good way. She didn't think she could feel that way.
"Fine, I'm gone." The guy said, and Y/N heard his footsteps walk away. She stretched for a second, settling down so that her leg was thrown over his and she was more on top of him than against the wall. Her hand relaxed, still holding onto his shirt but not as tightly.
"You awake?" Luke whispered so quietly for a moment he didn't think she heard him.
"No." She said quietly, feeling her breathing even out.
"Alright." He brushes his hand against her back, soothing her even more. "Let me know when you're awake."
~
All the Aphrodite kids were working overtime to make sure that Chiron never found out that Luke was sneaking into the cabin and also to keep the Hermes cabin from snitching. And also from keeping the harpies from killing Luke.
It was a full-time job.
They usually slept in Y/N's bunk, because her siblings just wanted her to be happy. They all knew that she was supposed to break someone's heart, but they tried not to talk about it. No one else knew about the deadline.
"Can you tell me how you got your scar?" Y/N asked one night, tracing the mark as they laid in bed. She had been getting so much sleep with him that she was able to stay up a little bit with him now and whisper low enough that no one else could hear.
"You don't wanna hear about it before it before you go to bed." He whispers, eyes going dark and hand grabbing hers, stopping her from touching it. Her heart drops, and she feels like a little kid scolded.
"You never told me." She mutters, not wanting to push but wanting to know. They'd gotten so close now that she wanted to know everything about him before she no longer had an excuse to be around him all the time.
Oh gods, how was she going to sleep without him?
"You're already overthinking." He whispers, and she just huffs and tries her hardest to turn from him while his arms are around her and she's also stuck between him and the wall. For a moment she thought about throwing herself over him and getting up, just to prove a point, but she knew that was taking things a little too far.
"I just wanted to be there for you like you are for me." She knew that didn't have nightmares like most demigods did; at least, if he got them, he hadn't had any since he'd been with her. But she also knew no one could deal with everything on their own, and if he wasn't telling her, who else was he telling?
"I'm okay." He tells her, settling in and making her start to get comfortable again. She stretched, leaned against him and let her eyes close, trying to forget about his scar.
Something about the conversation rubbed her the wrong way.
~
The kids returned and the war was avoided, and now Annabeth seemed to have her own relationship problems. It made Y/N relieved, then sad, because she remembered that her own relationship was fake. In a few short weeks, she would have to 'break' Luke's heart. But that was in the future, and she could put it off as long as she could. She didn't want to have to break his heart, because she had a feeling it would only break her's.
Everything had been going great until her mother showed up.
This time, it hadn't been an IM. This time, her mother was waiting for her in the strawberry fields where she was supposed to meet with Luke.
"Mom?" Y/N asked, not sure if she was seeing correctly. Her mother's beautiful face brightened, and Y/N just blinked. She had never met her mother in person.
"My favorite child." Her mother said, making Y/N's eyes widen. She thought Silena was her favorite child. "I am so proud of you."
"What?" Y/N had been planning on talking to Luke about their breakup tonight, but her mother thew her off.
"You've broken the most talented swordsman's heart! The pain, oh, it almost breaks my own heart." Aphrodite put her hands over her own heart, and Y/N just furrowed her eyebrows.
"But, I haven't broken Luke's heart yet." Y/N says, thinking about how weird Luke had been acting when he asked to meet her there. She thought it was about them breaking up, but what if it was something else. Could he tell that she had fallen?
"No?" Her mother looked genuinely confused. "I sense such distress, such a hole of love in his heart." Y/N had never seen a god confused, and she didn't like this.
"Something's wrong." Y/N muttered, flinching when fireworks began to be set off.
"Yes," Her mother said gravely, grabbing her daughter's hand. "I will help you find him and set this right." She said it as if Y/N was supposed to break his heart over the pain he must've been feeling. Before she could protest, her mother was teleporting her. She ended up in front of Luke in the forest, her mother no where to be found. Luke looked angry, his sword was pointing right at her. It was actually pressing lightly into her chest, which made no sense. Luke would never do that.
"Y/N?" He asked, eyes widening. The anger melted away a little bit, but he still didn't look like the version of him she knew.
"What are you doing?" She asked, watching him lower his sword but not his guard. His eyes caught on something behind her, and she turned.
Percy was standing there, eyes wide and scared. He had his own sword in his hand, arms lifted in defense.
"Get out of the way, Y/N." Percy said, sounding older than his twelve years. It scared her, seeing this kid forced to mature.
"What are you doing?" She repeated, turning back to Luke. His expression had hardened slightly, but it still wasn't as angry as he had been when she first showed up.
"You don't want any part of this." Luke's voice was deep and dark, and Y/N felt her heart drop to her stomach.
"What have you done?" She rephrased, eyes wide as the fear sprinkled through her body in cold waves.
"What I had to." Luke said, as if that explained everything. "The gods are against us. They need us, but they don't care about us. I mean, have you ever even spoke with your mom is person?" He was trying to use her, and it hurt her feelings.
"I just did." She said quietly, turning fully to Luke. "And she told me you were heartbroken." She reveled at the shock that washed over his face.
"She must have been feeling someone else." Luke answered, and Y/N just shook her head.
"Luke, please." She walked toward him, grabbing his free hand. "We had something. We were pretending to date but you can't tell me you were acting the whole time." She felt tears in her eyes now. "Luke, I love you." She whispered finally. Filling the silence was the wind in the trees, the distant sound of fireworks. But not Luke's voice. He stayed quiet for a moment.
"It'll pass." He tells her quietly, tilting his head.
He might as well have stabbed her, the words hurt so bad. Using her shock, he threw his sword up, and not even letting go of her hand he caught it the opposite way, using the bottom to hit her head and send her to the ground.
"Goodbye," He muttered as he let her hand slip from his, stepping over her to face Percy.
Y/N could hear the breaking of her heart as she let her eyes close.

"I'm Lactose Intolerant"
Tumblr media
Things Reader Should Acknowledge: I ACCIDENTALLY POSTED THIS ALREADY BECAUSE I FORGOT TO SAVE IT AS A DRAFT, i have yet to get the hang of tumblr, yuuji hasnt been born yet, the itadori parents neglect their children so grandpa takes care of them, waaaaaay later is when yuuji is born, sukuna gets his tattoos when he is older
Prologue: As summer nears its end, and autumn takes its place, you find yourself in quite the situation. A new family has arrived in the neighborhood, and your parents have tasked you with greeting your new neighbors. A wacky grandpa, a gloomy tween. Seriously, could things get any worse?
A/N: Sukuna is 10 years old, while reader is 9 years old. However, Sukuna was held back a grade, so guess who is joining your class this year? *cue the confetti*
Please REFRAIN from REPOSTING MY WORK (REBLOGS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THIS RULE)
PS: i know little kids shouldnt be walking the streets alone, but lets just pretend the world is a better place
Tumblr media
Chores are boring. Errands, on the other hand? Well, not so much.
You shielded your eyes from the rays of the sun as you walked down the street, avoiding the cracks on the pavement. The sky bled as the sun set and the songs of the birds started to come to a halt. It was a typical Saturday, help get the groceries, head home, and assist with dinner as much as possible. However, what wasn't typical was the fact that there was a moving company's truck blocking your way home.
Wow, there's definitely a better way to go about this, you sigh. Mindlessly, you kick a pebble aside and tighten your grip on your tote bag as your stride continues.
Several men in navy colored uniforms carry boxes as another man, who you estimate is a septuagenarian, surveys the workers from the front lawn of his new house. The man, who you also assume is your new neighbor, has his hands clasped behind his back and wears a green wool sweater.
Deciding to be polite, you clear your throat, neaten up your braids, and slowly approach the man, cautious as you try not to give him a heart attack. At nine years old, one may not know much, but one might know that killing your elderly neighbor is a pretty wack first impression.
The man looks quite surprised to see you approach, and even raises a white brow.
Okay, maybe this is a bad idea, you think as your palms start to sweat. You go through several introductions through your mind just to go with the most lame one.
"Hello, sir. My name is Y/N L/N. I'm your . . . uhh, new neighbor," you cringed at yourself before holding out a hand to the man.
"Ah, wasn't expecting to meet my neighbors on the first day here. I am Mr. Itadori, pleasure to meet you," his voice sounded like that of an old man's, yet, it had such a warm, cozy feel to it. He took your hand and gave it a firm shake.
"Likewise," you say, after a few seconds of silence.
"Should a girl, — pardon my rudeness — as young as you, be walking out here alone at this time?"
"Aha, my parents trust this neighborhood enough. And anyway, I was only getting groceries from the store, it's not too far from this block actually." You pointed a finger in the direction of said store.
"Wow, you must be pretty responsible for your parents to be sending you out for groceries, huh? Good to know some children in this neighborhood help out their families," Mr. Itadori turned to face a boy, probably not much older than you, who was carrying boxes into the house when he put emphasis on the word "some".
The boy had pink unruly hair, that was slicked back and spiky. You held back a giggle at the sight.
"Grandpa, I'm literally moving furniture into the house. What are you looking at me for?" The boy grumbled, but he didn't stop as he moved the boxes.
"I never said you didn't help out. I was just simply telling Y/N here, about how some children help out their families. No need to get upset now, Sukuna." Mr. Itadori gave a small chuckle, before abruptly turning to face you.
"Oh, right! How rude of me, I haven't introduced you to my grandson."
"Oh, no worries. You guys are probably busy—" You began, before being cut off.
"Nonsense! Sukuna! Come here, boy."
Sukuna muttered something, and dropped off a box by the front of the house before moving over to you and his grandpa.
Now that the boy was closer, you could make out his red eyes, and the frown on his face. Looking back at Mr. Itadori, you noticed he did not share the same qualities as his grandson, and instead had brown eyes.
"What are you waiting for? Introduce yourself!" Mr. Itadori lightly pushed Sukuna closer to you.
The taller boy stared at you for what seemed like forever, before averting his eyes to the ground and keeping them there. "Name's Sukuna."
"Y/N. But I think your grandpa already mentioned that," you tried to lighten the mood.
You swear you heard him say something along the lines of "pretty name" under his breath, but before you could ask, Sukuna retreated to his boxes. His grandpa looked displeased at that. Actually, that's quite an understatement. He looked furious with Sukuna, but he didn't do anything other than sigh and bid you adieu and good night.
You slowly walked back to your house, your arrival being a little later than usual, which your parents questioned you about, to which you explained that there was a truck in your way.
When it was time for bed, you did as you usually did. Showered, changed into your pajamas and watched a movie before cleaning up and preparing to actually go to bed. As you moved to close your window blinds, you noticed something you hadn't seen in a long time — considering no one's occupied the house next door since it was put on sale — there was a window right across from yours, and the light was on.
You didn't plan on becoming a creep at such a young age, but due to curiosity, you didn't peel your eyes away from the window. It surprised you to see that the room across from yours was a bedroom belonging to none other then Sukuna. When you saw the pink spikes of his hair come near the window, you quickly shut the blinds.
The next morning, your mom shook you awake.
You groaned, "Mom. . . What is it?"
"We have new neighbors, honey! I've already started prepping for baking an apple pie for them—" You let her ramble on while you were still half-awake.
Oh, right . . . you never mentioned your meeting with the Itadoris. Now you have to introduce yourself to them, yet again.
"—I just need you to grab a few ingredients for me, if you don't mind."
"Sure, Mom. No problem." You stretched out your arms and yawned.
"Perfect! I'll let you get ready then. I'll give the list on your way out." Then, your mom got up, and shut the door.
You yawned again and rubbed your forehead. This was definitely going to be an interesting day, to say the least.
You met your mom downstairs and she instructed you on the ingredients you needed to purchase. "Uh huh, got it. Thanks. Bye, Mom!
Still half-asleep, you slowly slipped on your sneakers and headed out through the door. The sun warmed your face, yet sent a chill down your spine.
Apples and lemon.
Apples. . .
And lemons.
You hummed to yourself as you walked down the street, passing by the Itadori house.
Apples and lemons—
"Gah!" A little rock got in your way, and you were about to faceplant onto the sidewalk when you felt a firm hand on your shoulder reel you back upward.
You turned to see who your savior was, and cocked your head to the side in surprise.
"Sukuna? What are you doing out here?"
"No 'thanks for saving me, Sukuna'? Also, contrary to your belief, other people in this neighborhood get out the house too, y'know?"
You scoffed, jutting out your bottom lip, "Thanks."
Sukuna held a smug look on his face.
"So . . . you gonna take your hand off my shoulder, or should I do that tor you?"
He looked taken aback, and swiftly returned his hand to his hoodie pocket. "I have to go get groceries. My grandpa sent me, because our house is basically empty?" Sukuna acted as if that was common knowledge.
"What did you have for dinner last night, then?"
"Ordered in."
You mumbled, "Figured."
"Anyway, Grandpa told me you know where the closest grocery store is? I need . . . directions."
"Oh! Right," you scratched the back of your neck. "I'm actually heading there right now. You can come with." If Sukuna didn't want to go with you, he certainly didn't show it (surprisingly).
"So you're actually going to turn this way, down here, across this weird looking house or something — I actually don't even know if it has someone living in it — then go in front of this—"
"Stop talking, and maybe we'll get there faster," Sukuna muttered.
You turned around to face him; he had his hands in his pocket and wore a bored look on his face. You huffed.
"Go have someone else show you the way, then. Y'know, I was actually trying to be nice to you and all. I'm even showing you the shortcut. And now look at how you're treating me." You turned away from him.
"'Trying to be nice'? Please. You haven't asked me how day was going. 'Trying to be nice' my ass."
You ignored his use profanity at such a young age, and you came to a skidding halt; Sukuna even bumped into your back when you stopped abruptly.
"What is your problem!? So what if I haven't asked you how your day was going? SO WHAT? You haven't asked me either. If you don't like me just leave. me. alone!"
"People are so uptight these days," Sukuna shrugged.
"Uptight? UPTIGHT? Please, be my guest, and show me how I'm the uptight one here." You couldn't believe this dude. He's the only other kid in this neighborhood — besides your sibling — and he refuses to be cooperative, kind, nonetheless, a decent person.
The rest of the walk to the grocery store happened in silence. And believe me, the silence was loooouuuuddd. You wholeheartedly believed Sukuna would leave, but he didn't. Which made you even more mad.
The bell above the door chimed when you stepped in the store, out of pettiness, you didn't even hold the door for Sukuna. He scoffed at that, and you turned around to face him. "Well, here you are. The grocery store. Happy now?"
"I'm never happy."
Wow, he must've been dropped on the head as a baby, because he certainly did not get the personality from his grandpa.
You walked through the aisles one by one and searched for the items your mother requested.
Apples and lemons.
You didn't even bother placing them in a bag, insisting on carrying them yourself. Meanwhile, Sukuna was still trailing behind you, much like a lost puppy. His groceries were all in a bag, and he looked ready to pay, but he was still behind you.
Finally, you got sick of his weirdness, and peered over your shoulder to get a look of his face, which was frowning, "Why are you following me?"
He looked like he was pondering, thinking of a way to answer your question. "Girls shouldn't be walking around alone. Especially you."
"Ugh, there you go again. Always thinking you're better than everyone else. And, whaddya mean 'especially me,' huh? You don't think I can handle myself? Are you here to protect me or something? Swooping in to save the day, my knight in shining armor? Seriously, Sukuna."
He groaned, and dragged his free hand down his face, "I came from a not so safe neighborhood. Can't you see I'm just trying to look out for you? If some man came up and harassed you, and I was shopping in some other aisle, would you blame me too?" His voice softened on the last part.
"Forget it, you're right. I'm wrong," you sighed and walked to the register.
When you got home, your mom ushered you inside and hurried to start on the apple pie. You bit your nails as she worked, and she quickly took notice of that.
"Something wrong, sweetie?"
You shook your head, and mouthed a simple "no".
While you were upstairs reading a book, you heard the beeping of the oven, signaling the completion of the baking process. Before you could even put down your book, your mother called out to you from downstairs.
She welcomed you in the kitchen and took great care in wrapping the freshly baked pie in tinfoil and sending you off to the Itadori house. But before that happened, however, she made you memorize your speech, reminding you to inform your next door neighbors of who originally made the pie. And with a soft pat on the back from your mom, you were off.
It was a quarter past 12 o'clock when you finally found the courage to knock on your neighbor's front door. You heard a "coming!" from inside the house, and returned your hand to its side.
Loud footsteps came closer until finally the door was flung open. You were greeted by the sight of Mr. Itadori in a fluffy red robe, and equally fluffy slippers.
"Ah! Y/N. What a pleasant surprise to see you here."
You stuttered a bit, "Hi, Mr. Itadori. My mom and I wanted to formally introduce ourselves, and welcome you to the neighborhood — I didn't mention our very much brief meeting yesterday."
"Oh wow! You can tell your mother I appreciate her kind welcome." He turned his head into the house, and called for, "Sukuna! Come here, boy."
"Oh, I wouldn't want to be a bother—"
"Agh, you children. Always the same. Nonsense, Y/N. Utter nonsense."
Sukuna stood behind his grandpa in record time, his speed surprised you. "What's she doing here?" He sneered. You offered him a glare in return while Mr. Itadori was oblivious.
"Don't be rude to our kind neighbor. She's here to formally introduce herself."
"Again?"
"Yes. Again."
"Whatever."
Your eyes flickered back and forth between the Itadoris' banter. "I've brought some apple pie — my mom baked it."
Mr. Itadori's eyes lightened up as you presented the tinfoil covered dish to him. "It smells delicious! You really didn't have to, my dear."
"It was no big deal, I promise," you laughed (nervously).
"I will put this on the counter, one second," Mr. Itadori walked away, leaving you and Sukuna alone. The taller boy crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway.
"Apple pie? Really? Are you trying to kill me and my grandpa? I'm lactose intolerant. We're lactose intolerant. He just didn't want to seem rude, so he's putting it away."
"Oh. . . uhh, I didn't know that—"
"I can tell. You didn't think to ask first? How considerate of you, Y/N."
You stumbled on your words.
"I'm just messing with you. Apple pie is his absolute favorite."
Your jaw dropped six feet, before you came back to your senses and rolled your eyes, "Did you have to scare me like that?"
He laughed aloud, "Duh. Shoulda seen the look on your face. Priceless!" He continued to laugh, while your expression remained stoic, trying not to laugh as well. You didn't want to give him the satisfaction of thinking he was actually funny.
When his laughter subsided, he cocked his head to the side. "What's with the face? Girls don't know how to joke around or something?"
You frowned.
Mr. Itadori returned to the both of you and patted his grandson on the back. "Well! Thank you again, Y/N. Tell your family I say thanks and appreciate their kindness."
"Of course. I'll be going now." You waved to Mr. Itadori — feigning ignorance to Sukuna — and walked back to your house next door.
Tumblr media
When Sukuna and his grandpa sat at their newly assembled dining table, they both couldn't believe how good the apple pie tasted. Sukuna even asked for a second slice.
Mr. Itadori broke the silence, "So, school starts tomorrow."
Sukuna glanced at his elder, and raised a brow.
"Since you don't know anyone else at your new school, you can ask Y/N for help. She'll be in your grade anyway."
Sukuna sighed, "Grandpa, why are girls so difficult?"
"Ohoho," Mr. Itadori's laughter boomed throughout the house. "You're a funny one, Sukuna," and he ruffled his grandson's unruly hair, messing it up more.

things we’ve never said.
dominik mysterio x fem!reader
summary: you and dom have been friends for as long as you can remember, but when he begins to distance himself from you, everything falls apart. will you crumble under the weight of it all and confess your true feelings to him?
A/N: I could not come up with a good title for thiss.. 😭 also this is my first time ever writing on here so lmk how you guys feel about itt.
Tumblr media
you and dom have been close friends since you were young. growing up with parents in the WWE, you and him would hang out whenever your parents brought you to work.
throughout the years the two of you remained close, the both of you following in your parents footsteps and becoming wwe wrestlers. you and him becoming inseparable, since you got drafted to raw.
even though he was in the judgment day, and you were making a name for yourself, you always found a way to support and be there for each other.
as time passed, it hit you that dom was gradually drifting from you. the post-show hangouts you both used to have were replaced by solo nights in your hotel room, binging your favorite show.
and you traded in your late-night waffle house trips for early morning trips to the hotel gym, trying to clear your mind.
while the friendship you shared with dom started to fade, his connection with rhea only grew stronger, leaving you to deal with your thoughts.
you could feel yourself fading into the background, witnessing all the moments that once belonged to you and dom now being shared with her instead.
avoiding both of them had become your new routine, yet there was only so much you could do when your job meant crossing paths every week, making escape almost impossible.
but you held your own. there were times you’d run into dominik but you’d just ignore him and pretend you didn’t hear him.
you were doing your best to try and move on from the situation, but your attempts at ignoring reality only caused you pain.
when your paths would cross it was like your entire body was consumed in pain as you watched them be happy together even if it was just for a second.
you could try and hold yourself together all you want, but it felt like your heart was ripping apart every time you saw them.
you had been sitting backstage waiting for your time to go out to the ring, you had a match against becky lynch. you were just waiting for rhea to get done with her call out promo.
the air in the ring was tense from their ongoing feud, full of sharp words and taunts. you felt a twinge of nerves, not just for the match but because dom was always rhea's shadow, and tonight was no exception.
glancing at the screen, you saw rhea laying down her final words, with dom looming behind her like a puppy.
your leg instinctively started bouncing up and down, dreading the inevitable awkwardness that came with being anywhere near dom. It was just one of those things that made you wish you were anywhere else.
rhea's theme hit, and she strutted out of the ring, her and dom making their way backstage slowly, nibbling on your lip to find some calm. someone sat down in the seat next to you, but you were too wrapped up in your own head to notice.
a moment passed, then a familiar voice cut through, "hey, you okay?" you glanced over to find liv, a good friend of yours, looking at you with concern. you pulled yourself together and offered a small, convincing-enough smile.
“oh- yeah, I'm good," you responded, as much as you liked to think you had a good poker face you didn’t. and liv saw right through you.
"if its about the match don’t worry, you’ll kill it." she said slowly, a touch of uncertainty in her tone. "but something tells me that's not it."
releasing a breath you hadn't noticed you were holding, you asked with a hint of humor, "Is it that obvious?" liv was clued in on everything; you two had become closer ever since you and dom stopped talking. she had become your ride-or-die.
she just shrugged and said, "no, I just know things." as you rolled your eyes with a smile. right then, a crew member gave the five-minute warning. you rose to get moving, but liv called out to you. "y/n/n."
turning to face her, "everything's gonna be okay." you gave her a soft smile and sent a playful kiss her way before heading to the curtains.
as you approached, rhea slipped through them holding her title over her shoulder without a glance your way. but when dom passed by, his gaze found yours.
In that quick moment, your heart skipped a beat, time seemed to stop, stretching the seconds out endlessly. a series of unspoken questions and unresolved issues hovered in the space between you two. that look between you two spoke more than words ever could.
it was the first direct eye contact you'd made with him in weeks. and just like that, it was over, the moment ending as quickly as it had arrived.
he passed by, his gaze leaving you and locking on rhea, and that strange, churning sensation in your belly returned. It was puzzling, a feeling you couldn't quite name.
suddenly, your theme rung out. you took a breath placing yourself in your confident persona, you’d walked out to the ramp beaming that confident grin with your arms wide, you soaked up the the cheers of the crowd washing over you like a wave.
you found yourself forgetting about everything, right now it wasn’t about you. it was about your fans. and one thing you weren’t going to do was let your personal life interfere with your job.
strutting down the ramp, you exchanged grins and nods with the fans, their excitement mirroring your own. slipping between the ropes, you blew the audience a kiss before sauntering to your designated corner.
crouching, anticipation tingling through you, you waited for the signal.
ding! ding! ding!
The bell's ringing sent your heart racing—it was go time. you and becky lunged at each other, each fighting for control, neither of you letting up.
becky dashed toward the ropes, bouncing off with momentum, but you were ready and landed a superkick right to her face. she stumbled backward, and you quickly went for the your finisher, a ripcord flatliner. as soon as becky’s body hit the mat you pushed her shoulders down and went for the cover.
1! 2! 3!
your music echoed throughout the arena, signaling the end of the match. shifting off becky, you settled onto your knees, a cocky grin spreading across your face as you swept your hair back, basking in the applause. a quick swipe of your tongue over your teeth, and you rose to your feet, ready to soak it all in.
the referee walked up next to you, lifting your right hand high, the crowd's cheers roaring louder. when your hand eventually lowered, you took a moment to look around at the cheering fans before making your exit backstage.
as the curtain fell behind you, liv was there, her voice lilting with enthusiasm. "you did amazing!" she chirped, the melody of her praise ringing in your ears.
you grin was wide, a mix of relief lighting up your face. "thanks," you replied with a shrug. "how about grabbing drinks later?" you asked.
liv's expression was priceless, her mouth agape before she shot you a look that screamed, 'Is that even a question?'
"hell yea we should. want me to invite sam and nat?" she bounced back, her enthusiasm infectious.
you gave a nod, the exhaustion of the night seeping into your voice. "I don’t mind.” you admitted, feeling exhausted. “I just really need a drink." you admitted.
liv wrapped you in a comforting hug, her hand soothing your back. "you've earned it," she whispered, pulling away only to hold your gaze. "i have to shoot a backstage promo now, so I'll catch you tonight, okay?"
with a nod, you exchanged goodbyes, each heading your separate ways. as you walked through the arena backstage to get to the locker room, the post-match adrenaline still coursing through your veins.
turning a corner you suddenly bumped into someone. you looked up to see dom, your heart picked up its pace. the two of you looking at each other, after a moment of no words and eye contact you had to get out of there.
you managed a strained smile, thoughts whirling as you sought an escape. "sorry," you mumbled, already sidestepping away.
but dom's hand clasped your forearm, halting you. you glanced from his eyes to where he touched you. his hold was gentle, yet insistent, something you hadn’t felt in a while. It almost felt foreign to you. "wait, we need to talk," he said firmly, his gaze digging deep for an answer you weren't prepared to give.
the air thickened with his words, an unspoken acknowledgment that whatever was going on between the two of you couldn’t be ignored forever
your expression hardened, as you withdrew your arm from his grasp. "not now dominik," you told him, abandoning the nickname you usually used when talking to him.
dom's face was a picture of tension, his jaw clenched tight. "then when?" he pressed, his words hitting you hard. "when's the right time gonna be? why have you been avoiding me?" you could hear the sincerity in his voice, the raw need for an answer lingering in the air.
the words hit you like a hurricane, leaving you momentarily frozen, brows knitted together. "don't pretend you care now," you spat out, the words sharper than intended, as you finally faced your tangled emotions head-on.
dom looked taken aback. "what are you talking about?" he retorted, his guard up.
"you've been distant for weeks, but obviously, you didn't notice because you're too wrapped up with rhea, right?"
"that's not true, I—"
your heart pounding as you locked eyes with dom. "no—I've been there for you through everything, and now you just push me away for them, for her," you said, the hurt in your voice unmistakable.
dom looked taken aback, his own anger subsiding as he realized the depth of your pain. "push you away? that's not what I'm trying to do," he protested, but you cut him off.
"but it’s exactly what you did! god I-" you looked away from him as your eyes filled with tears. you bit your lip hoping to stop. you didn’t feel like crying in front of him.
the tears overwhelmed you, there were far to much that you couldn’t hide it. as you blinked the tears escaped, you hastily wiped them. you looked at him. “you pushed me away and it hurt-“ you told him your voice breaking.
“y/n/n-” dom’s features softened, you looked around trying to avoid looking at his eyes.
"and I hate feeling this way, and I wish I didn’t care but I do. because I'm in love with you, dom. I have been for so long." your words hung heavy in the air, and your eyes welled up, the tears you'd fought to keep at bay now tracing hot paths down your cheeks. "this sort of thing was never meant to happen," you said your voice breaking, a sob catching in your throat.
dom's anger dissolved and his arms were around you in an instant. "hey, hey, don't cry, I hate it when you cry." your arms instinctively wrapped around him, as your tears fell silently.
the hug was a deep, tight one, like he was holding you as if you were the only thing keeping him standing. no words were spoken, but the tension in your body melted away as you leaned into him, his mere presence calming your racing heart.
the hug seemed to stretch on forever, dom's hand gently threading through your hair as you rested your head against his chest, tears falling silently.
eventually, he drew back, cupping your cheeks as he met your gaze with tenderness, brushing away your tears and moving your hair out of your face gently. he missed you. so god damn much.
"I—y/n/n..." dom's voice wavered as he looked into your eyes, his emotions laid bare for you to see.
after a moment of silence, he spoke softly. "i've been wanting to tell you... but was so afraid of losing you and messing things up. i just..."
"i..." he spoke up again but stopped himself mid-sentence. "i've been avoiding you... because of the way i feel. and i thought if i tried to hide it and put some distance between us, it would go away."
his eyes bore into yours, making sure you were taking in everything he was saying. "i was wrong." your heart seemed to stop, leaving you momentarily speechless as you struggled to find the right words.
"i'm in love with you," he said.
his words hung in the air, lingering in the space between the two of you. he continued, “i was an idiot, and i thought if i kept us away, i could just make these feelings go away. but when i finally had some time to actually think... i realized i've loved you all along, and I'm done pretending like we can just be friends."
"i've never looked at anyone else the way I look at you, y/n/n." he murmured, his touch gentle against your cheek. "being with you just feels so natural. i can't hide how i feel anymore. please," his voice quivered, the words barely making their way out, "let me make things right."
dom's hand gently cradled your jaw, tilting his head as he gazed into your eyes. "can I..." he started, his voice trailing off.
you nodded, your eyes flickering between his and his eyes and his lips. "yes."
his lips met yours in a tender kiss, the embrace deepening as you both became lost in the moment.
it was a moment you had yearned for, and as your hearts raced and time seemed to stand still, it felt like a dream come true.
dom pulled back after a moment, his lips trailing away from yours. you could tell he was still processing the moment, his breaths coming in quick and shallow spurts as he tried to regain his composure.
“i’ve been wanting to do that for so long,” his eyes studying you as he took in every detail.
you smiled softly, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at his words. "me too." you admitted,
dom's eyes lit up at your confession, a grin spreading across his face. Without another word, he leaned in to capture your lips in another kiss, this one more confident and eager than the last. you melted into his embrace, feeling happiness wash over you.
dom rested his forehead against yours. "i don't want to wait any longer," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I want to be with you, in every way possible."
your smile widened, every moment, every obstacle, had led you to this point, and in that moment, it all felt worth it. "that's all I've ever wanted too," you replied, your voice filled with emotion.
dom smiled and engulfed you in a warm hug, lifting you off the ground and twirling you around. your joyful squeal filled the air as he gently set you down, peppering kisses on your lips that made you smile. "let's grab some food, I'm starving," he suggested.
"of course you are," you teased, playfully rolling your eyes at his mock-offended expression. he shook his head, then wrapped his arm around your shoulder as the two of you started walking.
the two of you reached catering, you noticed liv and natalya at a table and subtly intertwined your hands with dom's. "um, i'll catch up with you in a sec?" you said, releasing his hand to approach the table.
taking a seat, liv and natalya exchanged knowing glances as they looked at you with anticipation. "hey, girlie," natalya greeted with a playful smirk. "i'm ready for those drinks tonight!" she added, with a little shimmy that made liv burst into laughter.
as the excitement filled the air, you hesitated before breaking the news. "about that..." the two women turned their heads to look at you, their expressions shifting to curiosity. "sooo, how about we rain check on the drinks tonight?" you suggested, catching liv's curious gaze as you awaited their response.
"why?" she inquired, prompting you to glance back at dom, who was already heading towards the table. bracing yourself, you sat back as he casually draped his arm over your chair.
turning your attention from him to liv and natalya, who looked utterly shocked, you nervously chuckled. "yeah," you admitted.
"i told you!" liv exclaimed loudly, laughing and sharing a glance with natalya. confusion lingered as you and dom exchanged looks before refocusing on the two women in front of you. natalya shook her head, putting her head in her hands. "I told you," she muttered.
liv sprang up, doing a little dance with a bright smile on her face. "did you guys bet on us?" you asked, a hint of amusement in your voice.
liv stopped her dance, still beaming. "nope, just might've challenged natalya on when you two would make up," she revealed.
you rolled your eyes, laughing. "of course you did." you guys began talking about the upcoming pay-per-view event. focused in the conversation, you felt a sudden warmth as dom's hand found yours under the table.
glancing down at your intertwined hands resting on his lap, you couldn't help but smile at the sweet gesture. despite the subtle display of affection, you decided to refocus on listening to liv and natalya.
this is exactly where you wanted to be.

Do you have a design for Bright Storm? I'm fond of the wise older figure thing you're doing with her
I do NOW
Made her, as well as a revamp of my old Thunder Storm design (I last drew him like a year ago!!) in preparation for some character summaries I plan to bang out after finishing a couple drafts, but Bright in particular gets requested so much (anon you're like the 4th person) that HERE, lady girl and her son be upon ye
Tumblr media
I'm thinking about doing the BB!DOTC character summaries in "family" posts, so they're all grouped together the way I plan them to act in the story. Every family is telling a little mini-story of its own, in a way, from the Frost family and their inventing prowess, to the Heart family and how the kits react to Bumble's exile, to the Storm family and how they grapple with Clear Sky's influence.
I wanted to make sure Bright Storm was very large and powerful looking, but in a round, kind of "humble" way. She downplays her strength, her intelligence, and even her better judgement.
So she has these big cheeks, fluffy primordial pouch, poofy tail, keeps her head low-ish. Tends to deny compliments.
I was commiserating with my partner the other day about how intelligent characters aren't allowed to be thick-bodied. So between my fat, beloved Bumble the translator and Bright Storm the wise woman battle strategist I'm feeding us both
I needed to "finalize" their stripe pattern, because I actually plan for TIGERSTAR to have the same one. I'm probably going to update my Tawnypelt and Bramblestar designs to have it too; if they don't look better with Goldenflower's.
I just like the irony and bitterness of it. That these ancient stripes, once so associated with compassion and righteous fury, turn into a "legacy" so divorced from what Thunder Storm and Bright Storm stood for.
Becoming a symbol for the idea of modern ThunderClan and the culture of the new times, not the principles it was founded on.
Also I HAD to do the design thing where Thunder Storm's stripes look like top surgery scars lmao, my beloved transmasc boy
Anyway, I've decided that Thunder Storm was a REALLY dark orange. It bugs me a little, especially in-canon, that he looks nothing like either parent. So in BB he's not too far off color-wise from his mama.
I also removed the old "mane" and replaced it with combination white chest + his father's shoulder burls. The mane is going to become a Forest Cat trait, which is why it's going to get so prominent in ThunderClan.
Instead, Mountain Cats have a REALLY high concentration of ear tufts in their genes. They're also huge and generally hairy.
Funny enough though they're also "oily." They come from the Lake Cat population which was pretty water-resistant because of constantly dealing with the lake, and they haven't lived in the Mountains long enough for natural selection to get rid of it.
It's going to become SUPER advantageous for those who move to the River Kingdom, but become less prominent in the other populations.
But for now, Mountain Cats are kinda... well, naturally 'stinky.' That's not a BAD thing to cats who are animals who LIKE strong smells, but it is a notable trait that I'd like The Wind Runner in particular to comment on.
Thunder Storm: "Well? What did she say?"
Bumble: "Ummmmmm......"
Thunder Storm: "be honest"
Bumble: "she says she smelled you coming when you were upwind. rudely."
99% of the time when I'm changing character eye colors, it's to make them NOT blue because there's too many blue-eyed characters in WC imo. BUT.
I think it was another tiny waste to have the narrative constantly stressing Clear Sky's blue, blue eyes, almost like they're hypnotizing, and then they never really comment on what Thunder's eye color signals to other people.
So I've got an idea; instead of amber, Thunder Storm has ELECTRIC BLUE eyes. Almost green, like his mother's minty ones.
Intense as his father's, but more focused. Sharp. Shocking.
Side note: in my research I actually learned it's easier for tripod cats to RUN than it is for them to walk. They can "canter" like a horse, but when they go slow they have to hop. Taking this into consideration.
I put a splash of white on the little bit of lower limb that Thunder Storm has on the leg, so it sticks out a bit more. I don't want it to be hidden I want it to be prominent
I also figured out a hilarious trick for Bright Storm to pull on Sky's Clan at some point lmao
Thunder's crew is in conflict with Sky's cats and the attacks are getting more and more frequent. They decide they need some extra time to carry out some kind of hunt or diplomatic mission, but Bright Storm only has a small group of cats to pull off a stunt with.
She knows she can't fight them head on, but she NEEDS to buy her son more time, so she hatches a plan.
Clear Sky values his intelligence and his ferocity very much. To a fault, even. He loves to outsmart his opponents and overpower them-- so Bright Storm gets all her cats to build a very large, very tall, nearly impenetrable wall out of briar thorns. There's only one way in; the well-guarded tunnel they've constructed in the front.
It would be a challenge for a lesser cat. But Clear Sky, clever devil he is, realizes they've made a fatal flaw; they've built their camp right next to the trees. His fighters don't need to jump over the wall or push through it, the oaks are their allies!
So, while Thunder's cats are all surely sleeping, he gathers his best men and come through the canopy. In well-trained patrols, they swoop down into the camp and prepare for battle.
and no one is there.
You see, there was only one way in... and only one way out.
And Clear Sky and his best fighters watch with HORROR as the tiny crew of guards seals that entrance up like the neck of a bag. There are no trees to climb INSIDE the wall, and it's too tall to hop out of. It won't hold them forever, but it will hold them JUST LONG ENOUGH.
Bright calls this little plan "Operation Timeout."

First of all, I was very happy to see you share your opinions on assassin tropes and fight scenes. You brought up a lot of good points that I hadn't even considered in my early drafts! That being said, I'm trying to craft a game where the player starts out as a rookie. This means that I'll need a plausible way for someone to join a criminal organization without having grown up in that kind of scene. My original draft had the player join under the threat of exposure to the police, but I'm not sure if that's the best way to go. If you don't mind, then what are your thoughts? What other ways could get someone involved?
So, I'm pretty sure googling, “how to join a criminal organization,” will put you on some kind of list. Or, at least do some really goofy things to your search algorithms. So, with that in mind, this is going to be a little spotty, and there are different kinds of criminal organizations, which utilize different recruitment techniques.
Sometimes, the neighborhood background is mandatory. If your character didn't grow up around the organization, they're not trusted, and would not be able to join at all. This can apply to both gangs and organized crime. In other cases, not having that background would only be a serious impediment or create a glass ceiling.
Another common recruitment point is in prison. If an individual is so inclined, prison can function as an institute of higher education in criminality. It gives the convict access to criminals in an environment where their own status as a criminal is unlikely to be questioned. It gives them the opportunity to network with other criminals, and that can lead to options for (illegal) work once they've finished serving their sentence. I haven't followed up on it in a few years, but there's a YouTube channel by Larry Lawton, who used to be a professional armed robber, who discusses a lot of this in more detail, so his videos may be worth checking out for more context on how prison serves as higher education for aspiring criminals.
In some cases, criminal organizations might directly recruit individuals. The problem here is, most of the time it's children. So it becomes part of that, “growing up in the neighborhood,” background you're trying to avoid. Sometimes this is to use the kids as intentional cutouts, lookouts, or decoys, though not always, and how that shakes out depends on who recruited them.
In very rare cases, a criminal organization might seek to directly recruit an adult. Before you get excited about this, the only cases of this I'm aware of are former military, expats who have been approached by cartels, and this was certainly more of, “an offer you can't refuse,” style of recruitment. Now, to be clear, a criminal organization coercing someone into doing their bidding isn't particularly strange, but it's not usually a form of recruitment.
Another recruitment vector that's been a problem in recent years has been in the US military itself. This was an inevitable outgrowth of the policy of sending convicts to serve in the armed forces. Instead of reforming, they simply bring their criminal experience with them, and start looking around at prospective talent. It's enough of a problem that the military (usually) won't accept someone who's signing up in exchange for a deferred sentence, but some individuals do get through. While I haven't heard anything about it in the last few years, it did lead to a fairly significant gang problem that the armed forces were dealing with.
So, the options aren't extremely extensive. Doing a stint is probably the easiest route in for a character who already tried to get into a life of crime, but doesn't have the connections to make a go of it. If your character just randomly showed up at a criminal hangout, it wouldn't get them any access to the local criminal underworld.

the other woman; mingyu x fem!reader
request: Hey do you write seventeen angst? Idk if you are still doing requests but I was hoping you can write a dramatic angst using either Joshua, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu, or Minghao, Vernon but two of them as leads. Idk why I’m a sucker for cliche stuff like cheating or betraying kind of stuff and a touch of sadness.
synopsis: you're married to wonwoo, but his parents desperately wants him to have a child - which you cannot have. he gives into his parents wishes and meets the other woman, whom he eventually agrees to marry as well. you're left heartbroken for a few years, seeing the man you love build a family that you had always wanted, but happiness is on the horizon as you meet someone new.
a/n: i just wanted to get this finished, so i'm sorry if it feels a bit rushed. i completely forgot the story line i had wanted in the beginning, and it's just been sitting in my drafts for the longest time...
cw: slight bit of angst
genre: fluff, found family
word count: 5.9k
read part one!
read part two!

by the time you got home that night, you had partially forgotten about wonwoo. mingyu made sure to get you happy and smiling brightly again, even if it was just for a short cab ride. as you left the car, you felt like the sun was perched on your shoulders - warmth spreading through your body, and light emitting from your smile.
"goodnight, sweetheart.", mingyu said from inside the cab. you were leaning against the open door.
he had tried to get outside the car to say goodbye, but you assured him that it wasn't necessary. as you handed him his jacket, he put his hand on yours and gently tugged at you to lean further down.
"would it be very inappropriate of me to kiss you right now?", he asked quietly, "because i would really like to, but only if you feel-"
you broke the distance, and before he could say another word kissed him quickly. when you leaned back up mingyu's eyes were still closed.
"thank you for tonight.", you said, "i really needed a night out."
"anything for you.", he said without thinking, only realizing the meaning of the words after he spoke them.
he cleared his throat and turned away from you to hide his flustered face. the cab driver asked if he was going to have to wait there all night, in a half-joking manner, and mingyu quickly apologized.
"goodnight, mingyu.", you said with a small, teasing grin.
"i'll see you soon.", he answered.
the next time you saw mingyu it was unexpected. you had decided to go to the park, to enjoy the spring warmth and an excellent book. it was sunday, which meant that you didn't have any work, and you could do whatever you liked with your time. the thought of asking mingyu if he wanted to meet up certainly popped into your brain, but you presumed that he was busy. the occurrence of the end of your date was also weighing heavy on your shoulders. the odd chance that you'd meet your ex while on a date seemed ridiculously small to you. even if the date had ended rather well, you still felt embarrassed.
as to not dwell on the awkward interaction, you decided to not think about it while on your walk. the park was big, another plus of living in a well-off neighborhood, and it had many benches where you could spend your leisure time. the weather was just right, not too cold and not too hot. there were some concerningly dark clouds in the sky, but they were too far away for you to care about them.
you found a spot by a small duck pond, with a bench looking over the water. after sitting down, you pulled out your book and started reading. it felt nice to get out of your apartment. if you hadn't, you would've been sitting on the couch watching yet another show by now. the thought was definitely tantalizing, but being here was better for your overall health. besides, if you hadn't ended up sitting down at that bench, you wouldn't have met up with mingyu.
"miss y/l/n!", you heard a familiar voice shout.
you looked up from your pages, putting your index finger where you left off before closing the book. by the duck pond, now happily running towards you was ari, followed closely by ji-u. a smile spread across your lips as you watched the two girls approach you. you put the book back in your bag to greet them.
"what are you guys doing here?", you asked as they reached your place by the bench, "are you visiting the ducks with your grandparents?"
you didn't know why you assumed that they were with their grandparents and not mingyu. maybe because of the fact that he always seemed very busy. the girls didn't have time to answer before you looked up and saw the man himself standing in front of you. it felt weird to see him in just jeans and a t-shirt, and a normal jacket for once. paired with his messy hair, he just looked like a normal dad.
"they're here with me.", he smiled, making your heart flutter.
"he was going to feed the ducks with us, but the ducks swam away.", ji-u explained.
"yeah...", ari disappointedly looked up at her dad, "he totally scared them away."
"i was trying to get closer to them!", he exclaimed with an embarrassed grin.
you let out a soft laugh at the trio. their antics were endless, but you enjoyed watching the show they put on. a small ache took its place in your chest. watching them made you remember the family that you had always wanted, but were cursed with never being able to have.
"dad's also helping us practice for the play", ji-u added, "because he said he can't come on friday, so he wanted to watch us do it now."
"you can't be there?", you furrowed your brows as you looked up at mingyu.
"there's a meeting i have to be at, and it ends right as the play is supposed to start.", he sighed, "i told them i would try to make it but, you know..."
"well, i heard that they record the plays so... maybe i can get you a copy of that.", you said, "but i do hope that you at least try to get there, even if you only see the last parts."
"of course...", he nodded and the conversation faded into silence, "... i texted you this morning."
"you did?", you took your phone out of your bag, "sorry, i have my phone on silent."
it was a short message. a simple question, if you would like to meet up in the park. you smiled when you saw it. when you looked back up at him, he was looking away. a slight blush was spread across his cheeks and the tips of his ears. cute.
"dad said you couldn't come with us to see the ducks, did you change your mind?", ji-u asked.
her question made mingyu's face grow even redder, and your smile grow fonder. you looked down at ji-u, brushing a few strands of hair out of her face.
"yes, i did.", you said and stood up.
"oh, but if you're busy-", mingyu started, but you quickly cut him off.
"i'm not busy", you told him.
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
you spent the day with mingyu and his daughters; feeding the ducks, eating lunch, going to the playground, and simply enjoying each other's company. towards the middle of the afternoon, those clouds that you hadn't bothered being worried about were a lot closer than before. mingyu helped the girls zip up their coats before he turned to you. you were just wearing a blouse and a skirt since you weren't expecting to stay at the park for so long.
"are you cold?", mingyu asked, taking off his jacket before you could even answer.
"i'm fine, really.", you protested.
it was too late, mingyu's jacket engulfed your shoulders as he draped it around you. he fixed the collar of the jacket to hang securely, also letting his hands stay near you. you looked up at his face, he was staring right at you with a warm look in his eye. he was so close to you, you almost forgot the rest of the world around you.
"i wouldn't want you to catch a cold", he said quietly, "you take care of my kids after all."
"is that the only reason?", you asked, faking being offended.
"of course not.", he said with a small smile as he gently pushed some hair out of your face.
he opened his mouth to add something, but before he could it started raining. small droplets landing on your nose, you looked up at the about-to-be-downpour and took a step away from him.
"we should go home.", mingyu said, turning to his girls, "what do you say, girls?"
"will miss y/l/n come with us?", they asked.
"no girls, i have to go home", you crouched down to their eye level, "but i will see you tomorrow, okay?"
they both nodded, and unexpectedly swung their small arms around your neck - it almost made you stumble backward. you hugged them back and glanced up at mingyu.
"i will see you tomorrow too then?", he asked as you stood up.
"of course", you smiled, "i have to return this jacket, so."
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
the very next day you were in your usual classroom, waiting for mingyu to pick up his daughters. they were the last ones there, as they always were, but this time it was getting very late. you were stealing worried glances at the clock every other minute. what if something had happened to him on the way here?
"did your dad say that he would be later than usual today?", you asked the girls carefully.
"no", ari said, "but he looked tired, so maybe he fell asleep."
before you could question her any further, mingyu barged in through the door. if you thought seeing him in jeans and a t-shirt was weird, it was even stranger to see him in sweat pants. like ari said, he looked very tired - even sick.
"i'm so sorry.", he took a deep breath, "i swear i didn't mean to be late, i fell asleep in my study and-"
he paused to sneeze. oh, he was definitely sick.
"mingyu, are you alright?", you walked up to him and pressed your palm against his forehead, "you're burning up."
"yeah, i have a small fever...", he leaned against your cool hand, "that feels very nice."
the girls giggled behind you, reminding you that they were still there and that you should try to not make a scene to worry them.
"why didn't you let your parents pick them up?", you spoke in a low voice, "you didn't go to work like this, did you?"
"i did... they sent me home, so i worked in my study.", he explained with a goofy grin, "it's a lot nicer to work from home, i don't have to dress up... but i didn't want to miss seeing you, so i didn't bother asking my parents."
"you are so incredibly irresponsible.", you said and made his grin fade, "you should be resting... did you drive here?"
"yeah, of course.", he said, almost complaining when you took away your hand from his forehead.
"let me drive you home.", you sighed, "is that okay with you?"
mingyu handed you his keys, which you quickly accepted. this was definitely against some sort of work code, but you didn't care. these girls needed to get home safe, and mingyu needed to rest as much as he could.
"let's go girls, i'm taking you home.
after getting the girls into their respective seats and buckling their seat belts, you got into the driver's seat. mingyu was sitting beside you, leaning his head against the headrest. he looked like hell, but somehow still managed to be cute. you still had his jacket from the day before and draped it over his chest like a blanket.
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
you drove them to their home, following the GPS' orders carefully. mingyu fell asleep during the drive, and the girls sat in the backseat whispering and giggling. when you got to the destination you had to wake him up.
"it's this house right there, just park the car right in front of the garage... I'll fix it later.", he mumbled.
the house was big, built with modern architecture. big glass windows, long black, and white walls, and a flat roof. before getting lost in the beauty of the outside of his home, you helped the girls get out of the car.
"let me unlock the door.", mingyu yawned and got out of the car.
the inside of the home was well decorated and had dark wooden floors. there was a big living room area, which was connected to a patio. you could see back into the garden through the big glass sliding doors, quickly noticing a pool back there. the kitchen was also in the downstairs area. the cabinets were black, and the floor was lined with classic black and white tiles. everything looked neatly put together, especially compared to your apartment.
"you should go to bed...", you told mingyu.
"will you come with me?", he asked with a slight flirtatious tone.
"you're really getting on my nerves today.", you sighed, but couldn't help the warmth creeping up on your face.
you took a quick look around again, noticing that the girls had already sat down on the couch.
"are they allowed to watch TV now?", you asked mingyu and he nodded, "girls, do you want to watch something?"
"yes please!", they both said in unison.
you turned on the TV and switched it to a kids' channel before getting back to the very sick mingyu.
"now let's get you to bed.", you sighed and grabbed his arm, "where's your bedroom?"
"up the stairs."
after getting him into bed you pulled the covers over him and sat on the edge of the bed. mingyu put his hand on your thigh, and you put your hand on top of his.
"did you get sick while walking in the rain yesterday?", you asked.
"most likely.", he answered.
"i'm sorry...", you sighed and took his hand in both of yours, bringing it closer to you.
"it's not your fault, sweetheart.", he said, "... thank you for bringing me home. i really appreciate it."
"do you need me to do anything else? i can make dinner for the girls.", you said.
"that'd be very nice.", he nodded and closed his eyes, "i'll help you, i just need to close my eyes for a bit."
"no, you will not help me.", you sighed and put down his hand over the covers, "you are going to rest up. i'll stop by with some food for you before i leave."
"thank you.", mingyu had accepted defeat, "the twins go to bed by 8 o'clock sharp."
"and their room is..?"
"down the hall to the right. it's right in front of my study and right next to the bathroom.", he sighed and got comfortable under the covers.
"i'll take care of it, don't worry.", you smiled, "rest well, alright?"
mingyu let out a grunt for an answer as you left the room. the upstairs area wasn't as big as the downstairs area, but it was still around the same size as your entire apartment. you looked around in awe, never having imagined that this was what mingyu's home would look like. despite having two kids, he kept everything clean - you thought until you saw the kids' room. toys were scattered here and there, but there was still enough space to walk around in the big room. the girls slept in separate beds in separate corners of the room. there was a big window right in between the beds, allowing light to flow inside. it was a pretty room, although it was a bit messy. the mess wasn't a big problem, just some stuff on the floor - it was easy enough for you to put away. once that was done, you explored further. you found the upstairs bathroom, where you noticed a toothbrush stand with three toothbrushes standing next to each other and one empty slot. after the bathroom, you found mingyu's study, which you only took a quick glance at. this room was even messier than the girls', and you assumed it was because he left in a hurry earlier. there were tissues piling up in the trash, and papers all over the dark wooden desk. the blinds were closed, leaving the room feeling closed off. you quickly left that room, not wanting to intrude more than you already had. on your way to the staircase, you passed a room, right in front of mingyu's bedroom, that you had somehow missed. it wasn't the time for snooping anymore, you thought and decided against going in there.
when you got down the stairs you found the girls still watching TV. their attention went away from the screen as you came in to check on them.
"are you feeling hungry?", you asked and they both nodded, "do you want to help me make some food?"
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
after making dinner, and tucking ji-u and ari into bed, you got a plate of the leftovers and brought it up to mingyu's room. the room was still dark, and he was still lying in bed in the same position you had left him in. maybe he had shifted around a bit because his hair was a bit messier than before. you sat down beside him and put your hand on his arm.
"i have some food for you", you said softly, "and some water."
mingyu opened his eyes ever so slightly, shifting in the bed to bring his hands up to his face to rub the sleep out of his eyes. when he was done he sat up, leaning his back against the headboard.
"you're too nice to me.", he muttered.
"you would've done the same for me", you shrugged, "here, drink up."
you handed him the water and put the plate of food on his bedside table while he drank. a nervous feeling started spreading in your chest, suddenly realizing the position you were in. to combat these unfamiliar emotions, you got up and started closing the blinds.
"i put the girls to bed", you spoke as you worked on closing the blinds, "they weren't very happy to go to sleep when you hadn't kissed them goodnight yet."
"they get antsy if we don't follow the routine.", he chuckled, "could you hand me the plate."
you sat back down beside him, head buzzing with nervousness, and took the plate. without thinking you took the fork to feed him like you used to do with the stubborn kids at the kindergarten you worked at before. only when mingyu had taken a bite, looking a little bit shocked, is when you realized what you were doing.
"i'm so sorry", you quickly tried to hand him the plate, "it's an old habit, i wasn't patronizing you, i swear-"
mingyu only laughed, pushing away your attempt at giving him the plate. he couldn't get a word out, still trying to chew through the fit of giggles. his hand was over his mouth as he looked away from you, if he were to look in your lost puppy dog eyes he would definitely start laughing again.
"it's alright.", he said after calming down, "i don't mind being pampered... especially not by you."
your eyebrows shot up over your forehead. mingyu motioned for you to come a bit closer, and you shuffled a few inches closer to him. he looked expectantly at the plate, and then back at you. with a slightly shaky hand, you brought another spoon of food to his mouth, which he gladly accepted. seeing him genuinely happy over this made you a bit more comfortable. you shuffled even closer to him, sitting down in a better position to feed him. it felt strange, and you couldn't help but laugh a little at his happy expressions.
"you cook well.", he said quietly as you took the last of what was on the plate on the spoon.
"it was just something i threw together, really", you said, "it's nothing special."
"thank you, anyway.", he said before taking the last bite.
you put the plate on the bedside table again, but before you could leave mingyu grabbed your arm. he looked up at you through his eyelashes, and you could've melted at the sight. he gently pulled you back towards him, making you sit down beside him again.
"i'm really sorry that i caused you so much trouble today.", he said softly and put his hand on your knee.
"you didn't.", you smiled, "i wanted to do this, otherwise i wouldn't have been here."
suddenly you started hearing giggling behind you. when you turned around you saw two black-haired heads peeking out from the side of the doorframe. your body was in the way for mingyu to see them, but his daughters were grinning widely at the sight of the two of you.
"girls, it's bedtime!", mingyu said kindly, yet sternly.
"we know!", they giggled, "but we didn't get to say goodnight to you."
the girls ran inside the room and crawled up on the bed. you were about to get up to give them space when you noticed that mingyu's hand hadn't moved from your leg. he squeezed it gently and when your eyes met his they seemed to be asking you to stay. so you sat there with them, watching as mingyu spoke with his daughters and apologized for not saying goodnight earlier.
"i was feeling a bit sick, so i had to rest", he explained, "which made me miss your bedtime."
"are you better now? did ms. y/l/n make you better?", ari asked and looked at you expectantly.
"he's doing a lot better than he was before", you said as you glanced between the man in front of you and his daughters, "but my expert opinion says that he still needs a full nights rest."
"you can't kiss it better?", ari asked, giggling with her sister.
"yeah, you can't kiss it better?", mingyu asked in a mocking tone, gently squeezing your leg again.
you put your hand on top of his and put it down beside you again. even if he was able to be very mature most of the time, he had a tendency to bring out his childish side. as you took his hand away from your leg, he almost looked like he regretted saying it.
"a good night's rest is all he needs, i promise you.", you assured the twins, "so you two should go back to bed."
they said goodnight to their father and hurried back to their room, leaving you all alone with mingyu again.
"i'll go check that they're really sleeping before i leave.", you said.
"you're leaving?", he sounded surprised, and by the grimace, he made afterward he didn't mean for it to sound like it.
"well yeah, i couldn't possibly intrude for any longer than i already have.", you said.
"y/n, you're not intruding.", he iterated, "i have a guest room, and you could borrow some clothes to sleep in for the night. it's so late, you shouldn't be going home alone at this hour."
he seemed so determined, and how could you give up on such an offer? his hand found its way back on your leg, a kind gesture that asked you to stay. you thought back to all the time you had spent together in the cabins. it had been so long that you seemed to have forgotten that you actually knew him quite well for just being his children's teacher. you took his hand in yours again, looking down at it to try to distract yourself from his strong gaze.
"i'm sorry that i left before", you spoke softly, "by the cabins... it was kind of a jerk move. i didn't even leave a note."
mingyu turned his hand to intertwine his fingers with yours. you looked at him with a shy smile. for some reason, you had thought of your second meeting as a new beginning, but you can't just erase memories with another person to start over.
"and i'm sorry for being an emotional wreck", you added, "and acting like i was a complete stranger when we finally met again."
"it's okay.", mingyu stated, "you've been through something horrible. i just wish that i could be someone you can lean on when you really need it... instead, you're here, treating me when i'm sick..."
you let out a stifled laugh. it felt nice to finally let your walls down a bit. mingyu squeezed your hand, getting your attention back on him.
"i'm not asking you to sleep in my bed with me because, frankly, that'd be very stupid considering that i'm sick", he said, making you laugh again, "but i just want to make sure that you don't have to go home alone, and that you're safe."
"alright, i'll take you up on your offer."
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
the next morning you woke up in mingyu's guest bed, in a borrowed pair of sweatpants and a shirt. the alarm on your phone had successfully woken you up an hour before you had to leave for work. you quickly got up and went downstairs, where you found mingyu making breakfast and the girls tiredly waiting at the table.
"why are you up? shouldn't you still be resting?", the words tumbled out of your mouth before you could even process them.
"good morning to you too, doctor.", mingyu joked and handed you a newly brewed cup of coffee, "you'll be happy to hear that my symptoms have-"
you pressed your hand against his forehead again, interrupting whatever he was going to joke about. his fever had gone down, and he looked a lot better than the day before.
"just a runny nose and a slight sore throat.", he smiled and took your hand away from his forehead, "what do you think? am i too sick to make breakfast?"
his grip on your wrist shifted to hold your hand instead. his eyes were glimmering in the low light of the kitchen lamp, and that warm smile never left his lips. if it weren't for the fact that he was sick, you would've kissed that smile off his face.
"no...", you sighed, "sorry, i overreacted-"
"you didn't.", he assured you, "it's nice to know that you care."
mingyu's arm sneakily wrapped itself around your waist and brought you closer. he leaned his forehead against yours, still looking into your eyes. you did your best to not spill anything out of your cup, but it was getting increasingly hard since you were starting to be distracted. you peered over your shoulder, noticing that the two of you had started getting the attention of the twins.
"could we save this for another day?", you asked and put a hand on his chest, "maybe when we're not being watched?"
mingyu looked up, immediately locking eyes with ari and ji-u who were almost standing on top of their chairs to see.
"hey! sit down in the chairs, or you'll fall over!", mingyu said and let go of you to bring the girls their breakfast.
you watched him walk away, carefully warning the girls of the dangers of standing up on the chairs as he put down their bowls. when he walked back to you, and the girls were deeply invested in their food, you decided to be a little mean. while mingyu was grumbling to himself you walked up to him and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. he looked at you, stopping whatever he was doing to just stare at you in shock.
"thank you for the coffee.", you said quietly, "i need to get ready, but i'll see you soon, right?"
"i can drive you to work", he blurted out, "i need to take my girls there anyway."
"if you're feeling fine then i don't see why not."
"oh, i'm feeling more than fine.", he tried to lean in, but you quickly stopped him.
"i don't need to get sick too.", you said and when he tried to protest you added, "i tried kissing it better... think of it was your medicine. doctor's orders!"
he watched you leave, his jaw was slightly slack. you were going to be the death of him.

you arrived at the school with yesterday's clothes and wearing whatever make-up you could find in your purse. so, of course, your closest coworker would notice.
"had a fun night?", joshua hong asked with a sly grin.
"my night was just fine, mr. hong.", you responded, but giving your secret away by smiling.
there were other people in the teacher's lounge, so you had to be discreet. however, being discreet with joshua wasn't easy. the two of you frequently sat down to gossip with each other, and most of the time you ended up getting too excited - ergo, too loud.
"i saw you walking in here with mr. kim...", he said quietly, "and i've never seen you wear the same clothes two days in a row, so you're going to have to tell me everything that happened last night."
"i will...", you said and interrupted his small celebration by adding "at lunch."
"you're no fun.", he sighed dramatically, making you laugh.
.⋆。⋆☂˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆.
the week went by quickly, and you hadn't gotten to see mingyu as much as you had hoped. he stayed home until he was feeling well again, but then he had work to catch up on - so his parents ended up picking up the twins this week. a part of you still thought that he might show up to the play, for the girls' sake of course, even if it was naive of you to think.
friday, the day of the play, was spent making preparations for the afternoon - when all of the parents would come to see their kids perform. it wasn't anything particularly well-made, it was made by kids after all - but the work that the kids had put in truly made you proud. in the morning you immediately asked ji-u and ari if they knew if their dad would come after all. they had confirmed your fears, of him most likely not coming at all. despite them putting up a brave front, you could tell it made them very disappointed.
"well, why don't i act as your grown-up for the play? just so that you know that someone is watching you.", you suggested.
"don't you have to look at all of the kids?", ji-u asked.
"yeah, you're a teacher - it's not the same.", ari sighed.
"i'll tell you what...", you lowered your voice, "if you promise not to tell anyone, i'll promise to pay the most attention to you two this afternoon."
it seemed to cheer them up. they even made you pinky-swear on it. however, you knew it wasn't as good as having their actual parent - so you were determined to make mingyu at least see the few last minutes.
when everyone was in their costumes and had prepared for the play to start, you took your seat right by the stage. you saved a chair next to you, putting up a fake "reserved chair" sign on the seat. before the play started, even before the parents had started coming in, you pulled out your phone and called mingyu.
"are you on your way yet?", you asked as he picked up.
"i'm in the car right now, i managed to cut the meeting short", he answered, "i might make it in five minutes."
"great! i saved you a seat", you said happily, "it's right at the front."
"you got me front row seats? wow, you really know how to spoil a guy, y/n.", he joked.
"just be there, mr. kim.", you said, right as joshua sat down on the "non-reserved" seat next to you.
"mr. kim?", he whisper-yelled, knowing all about your relationship to the man by now.
"i have to go now...", you sighed into the phone.
"alright. thank you again, sweetheart", mingyu said, "i really do appreciate it."
as you hung up, joshua stared at you with his jaw on the floor. he had apparently listened intently to your call because he looked like he had heard something that he shouldn't have.
"he calls you sweetheart?", joshua laughed.
"shut up, joshua!", you hissed at him, "i told you that nobody else needs to know."
you knew that if people found out that you used to sleep with one of the parents of the children you educated, suspicions of special treatment would arise even if they had no real claim.
"you guys are so cute...", he sighed dreamingly, "i know you don't think it's a good idea... but i think you should go for it."
the parents started coming in before you could say something in response. your eyes were completely focused on the door, smiling at the occasional parent you would make eye contact with, but your main goal was to see mingyu walking through that door. all the parents had settled down and were talking amongst themselves. mingyu still wasn't there. the lights dimmed. mingyu still wasn't there. a teacher came out on stage to present the play. mingyu still wasn't there. the parents clapped after the teacher's short speech, and as he walked off the stage and the music started: mingyu came through the door. you happily waved to him, and he sprinted toward his seat just as ari and ji-u walked out on stage. he gave them two thumbs up and a supportive smile before sitting down.
"thank you.", he whispered in your ear.
you wanted to thank him too, for coming despite all the trouble, but the kids had already started speaking.
that was a year ago. it was when you had realized how much you felt for him, and for his kids. it was when you had decided that taking a leap of faith was worth it if it was for them. even if you were still hurt from your past, you put your trust in mingyu that he could help you heal those wounds.
you walked out of the school with ji-u and ari. as soon as you saw him walking toward you, your face broke out into a bright smile. the girls ran up to him first, you following with quick steps.
"how has your day been, girls? did you learn anything new?", he crouched down to be on eye level with them.
"mr. hong taught us multiplication!", ari said.
the girls had moved up a year, and you requested to not have them in your class for the following years. after all, it would be awkward for them to have their dad's fiancé as their teacher.
"you need to help me with my homework!", ji-u said.
"of course, i will, honey."
mingyu looked up at you with a small yet warm smile. he stood up, telling the girls to go into the car. you approached him, feeling as giddy as a teenager experiencing a crush for the first time.
"did you have a good day, mrs. kim?", he asked lovingly and wrapped his arms loosely around your waist.
"i'm not mrs. kim yet.", you said and put a hand on his chest.
"my kids call you mom.", he argued.
"doesn't make me a kim legally, though.", you responded with a giggle.
"you've been mrs. kim for a long time in my heart already", he grinned in a cheesy manner, "and you're about to put the last of your furniture in my house now. so i think the official papers are nothing but a formality."
he leaned in a placed a soft kiss on your lips, only a quick one because he knew that you didn't actually like doing anything of the sort while still at work. even if you were in the parking lot, and not on school grounds, you never knew who was watching.
"good afternoon, newlyweds!", joshua said with a grin as he walked past and you sighed as you watched the man walk up to his car nonchalantly.
"let's go home, yeah?", mingyu asked.
"i'd love that.", you smiled

Here for all the Rockstar!Joel content. Could I please get a fluff piece of them telling the girls about the pregnancy and everyone is excited but it’s clear that Ellie is a bit anxious and withdrawn. Actress and Ellie have a mom and daughter day out and Ellie confides that she is a bit nervous about the baby replacing her and her feeling like she is not their “real child” and actress tells her that is nonsense and goes into mama bear mode. Sorry that is a ramble.
I love this idea!
Small Bump
Pairing: rockstar!joel miller x actress!reader
Author's note: I have so much Sammy fluff waiting in my drafts
Summary: this ask!
Warnings: pregnancy, talk of foster care system, Ellie being hesitant about the new baby
Tumblr media
Before you tell the girls you're pregnant, you tell Joel how nervous you are about it. If you're ignoring the massive age gap between them and the baby, bringing a new life into the home is still a big deal, especially for Ellie. For more than half a decade, Ellie has been the baby of the family. She's never really had to worry about anyone else taking her attention or anything like that, which she loved after so many years in foster care. When you explain all this to Joel, he tells you not to worry. "It'll be an adjustment for all of us, but we'll face it together." He said, and you decided to let it go. He knows his kid, right?
Sarah is shocked but excited, hugging you and Joel tightly after you show her the sonogram pictures. Ellie smiles and tells you how great that is before hugging you both and disappearing up the stairs. Your heart breaks at how softly she shuts her door, like she doesn't want her feelings to be a burden. When you move to walk upstairs to talk to her, Sarah stops you. "Let me talk to her first. I don't know if she'll be ready to talk to you yet." And she's right, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. You nod silently and let Sarah go into big sister mode.
The next few days are brutal. Ellie actively avoids you and Joel, walks around the house with headphones on, and spends a lot of time in her room. Your hormones are off the charts, so you cry about it. A lot. Sarah and Joel take turns spending time with Ellie and talking with her about it, and they promise you it has nothing to do with you, but you feel like it does. You're the stranger who infiltrated her family and made her the middle child. If you were in her shoes, you'd be upset too.
A week after you told her of the little life growing under your heart, you're sitting on the back porch with a massive water bottle and a book you've been meaning to read. You thought it would be a good distraction, but you can barely focus on the words. After about twenty minutes of trying to read, you sigh, put the book down, and stare at the Los Angeles skyline.
"Is your book really that bad?" A voice asks from behind you, and you smile as you turn to look at Ellie. She's wearing one of Joel's shirts, the fabric hanging loose around her, and an Astros hat.
"I don't know if I'm as much of a reader as I used to be." You admit, and she smiles shyly.
"Can I sit with you?" She asks, and you nod. She walks over to the table and sits across from you, fidgeting with her rings the whole time. You don't push her to talk about the pregnancy or anything else for that matter. You're just happy that she can still stand to look at you. She takes a deep breath, rests her elbows on the table, and looks at you seriously. "I'm not mad at you for having a baby with my dad." She finally says, and you bite the inside of your cheek.
"It'd be okay if you were."
"I'm not. Really," she says. "I just… I guess I'm scared."
"About what, honey?" You ask, sitting up to show her you're listening. She sighs and spins the ring on her middle finger a few times as she thinks.
"When I was in one of my foster homes, I got comfortable. They told me they'd let me stay as long as I needed to and even talked about adopting me. I was so excited. I wasn't gonna have to move around anymore, and I finally had a good home," she takes a shaky breath. "And then my foster mom got pregnant, and it changed everything. I kept asking when they were going to adopt me, but they couldn't give me an answer. When the baby was born, it was like I was invisible. Like I didn't even matter. So, I ran away. I gave them a reason to give me away, and they did. First chance they got," you can hear the pain in her voice, and you put your hand over hers. She sniffles and wipes her eyes on her shirt sleeve as she looks at you. "I know this is different, and you won't do that, but that fear is still there, and I don't… I don't know how to make it go away."
You're not sure what to say, so you sit there in silence with Ellie as she tries to stop crying. You run your thumb over her knuckles as you think, even moving to the chair right next to her so you can wrap her in your arms. She cries into your chest, and you run your hand through her hair like someone should've done for her all those years ago. You can't change what happened, but you can do your best to make up for it.
"I’ve loved you like my own since long before your dad, and I got married. You know that, right?" You ask as you kiss her hairline, and she nods. "There has never been a point in time where I didn't think you were the most brilliant, caring, kind, beautiful girl or where I didn't thank my lucky stars that you came into my life," you move your hands to cup her face and look at her. "You, Ellie Miller, are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I love you and want you around. This baby isn't going to change that, okay? It might fuck up our sleep for a little bit, but I swear to you, this baby isn't going to change how much I love you." As you speak, more tears fall down her face, and you wipe them away gently. She looks so young like this. It breaks your heart to think someone could've looked at her like this and thought she didn't deserve the world.
"And you know what else? I'm scared of having this baby, too." You tell her, and her shoulders drop.
"You are?"
"Terrified," you say. "But I have you and Sarah and your dad. I have our family, and that's all I need. So, I know I'm gonna be okay even if I am scared. And you don't have to be completely onboard with the new baby if you're not ready yet. We've got lots of time, okay?" You ask, and she takes a moment to take in your words. She shifts a little in her seat and clears her throat.
"Um… you showed Sarah some pictures from the doctor. Do you… still have them?" She asks, and you nod. "Can I see them?" You smile at her question and stand to go inside. You grab the sonogram pictures from your bedside table and bring them back outside to show Ellie.
"So, it doesn't really look like a lot right now, but," you point to the baby's little arms. "Those are their arms and their hands. You can kinda see their little fingers if you squint. And that," you point to the baby's side profile. "Is their face." Ellie stares at the grainy photos until she figures out what she's looking at and then lights up. She runs her thumb over the baby's nose and lips and smiles as if tracing the features herself.
"Kinda looks like Dad." She says quietly, and you laugh.
"Yeah, I thought the same thing."
"Is it weird… being pregnant?"
"A little, but it's also really cool." She glances between your eyes and your still-growing belly.
"Can I?" She asks. You nod and carefully grab her hand to let it rest on your stomach. To call it a bump is generous, but there's definitely something there. Whether it's food bloat or the baby, you don't know. Still, Ellie rubs little patterns into your shirt and smiles.
"Hi, baby," she says. "My name is Ellie. I'm your big sister."
There are still many months before your baby will be born and effectively change all of your lives, but right now, under a perfect sunset, Ellie is content and at peace and knows how loved she is. And that's all you need.

"It takes Shadowpeach literal years of living and raising a child together before they realise that they've fallen back in love" of course. Could you give more details? Like what was the time it takes between that happening and them realizing? Who fell first? How long after that until they actually do something about it or do they still avoid the subject to canon time
OK SO
Basically, at the start of the story the Shadowpeach is on a bit of a hiatus cus of the whole... Macaque being killed thing.
Macaque is understandably very upset with Wukong. Like, if Wukong hadnt shown up with MK's egg, Macaque could have darn near killed him. But he's able to put his anger aside for the sake of the unborn Stone Monkey.
Wukong this whole time has had deep festering love for Macaque, but resigned himself to grief in the centuries following his death. The joy he feels upon his resurrection is clouded by the fear of losing him again. So much so he fears reigniting their flame.
Cue them coming across Pigsy. The pig demon assumes from the shabby clothes, the arguing, and the bump under Macaque's clothes (actually MK's egg in a harness); that the two are young, soon-to-be parents needing shelter. Wukong hams the misunderstanding up, and Macaque is too furious with him to clear the air.
Basically they move into the apartment pretending to be a couple. And soon after a while, the pretending starts getting harder and harder to differentiate from the real domestic love they shared back on Flower Fruit Mountain.
Its around the time of MK's first birthday when they begin to suspect the other of falling back in love. It almost takes another birthday for Macaque to accept that Wukong is geniunely trying to mend things between them, but scars run deep.
When MK turns 3, a random demon gets a drop on the fam - I'm leaning towards a variatn of the annoying Demon of Confusion from the very beginning of Wukong's tale. The demon assumes MK and Macaque are just really powerful monkey spirits and whisks them away to be his servants. Cue the whole noodle fam, especially Wukong going ballistic. In the ensuing rescue, Macaque is... conflicted.
Here's a rough draft:
Macaque: "You didn't have to save me, you know?" SW: "Why wouldn't I? I couldn't just leave you with that jerk." Macaque: "Because I had your living vanity trophy on my back?" Toddler!MK, in a sling: *babbling* SW: "I... I know that you could have escaped. Fought your way out on your own without breaking a sweat... But when I learned that Demon *took* you away, I just... I just..." Macaque: "Just what?" SW: "I just... thought of how many of MK's birthday's you'd miss. How many dinners at Pigsy's uneaten. How many nights alone in bed... I lasted over 500 years. But now... I don't think I could have survived another day without you." Macaque, realizing: "Oh..." Pigsy, Tang & Sandy: *wondering if they should leave the lovebirds alone*
After that incident, they slowly build back up their relationship. Baby steps, just to confirm the bonds hold firm.
It would take them a few months to spit out an "I love you". The first one to break being Wukong - watching Macaque doing a shadow puppet show for MK with a goofy look on his face. He says it without warning, thinking it was just in his head until Macaque froze. It took Macaque a week to respond with "The feeling is mutual I suppose" while lying in bed.
They do hit snags later down the line. Notably SW briefly regressing back to a "find means of immortality for mate and baby"-phase the first time MK got seriously injured. And in turn Macaque hiding how much he was hurt by his death, and hiding who resurrected him + the price he has to pay for it. This also not including Sun Wukong disobeying his order from the Celestial Realm to "scramble" MK.
Until the events of "A Hero Is Born", Monkey King is pretty much assumed perma-retired after the New Stone Egg incident, while the Six Eared Macaque is presumed dead. Then the Demon Bull Family indirectly drag them back into the spotlight.
They are both emotionally constipated, your honor. I sentence them to 18 years of hard parenting and couple's counseling.

Meet Me In the Middle || Elvis Presley x reader
summary: it is all too easy to give and take when the lines of platonic love become blurred. or in which you’ll alway be Elvis’ little girl
warnings: 18+, sexual content, mentions of blood, loss of virginity, the usual swearing
word count: 5k
author’s note: low key I’m really proud of this one. thank you all for the love and support i received on my last fic <33 i literally have so many elvis ideas but not enough time to write them. would y’all want some shorter fics too?
Summer was sharing sweet orange slices from the farmers market and the sticky juice that trailed down our arms. Summer was playing tag in the front yard, tousling like rabbits in the the green grass. Summer was late nights spent listening to records together on my full sized bed.
Summer was Elvis. Until it wasn't.
One late night in 1957, summer became the three month notice of a court ordered draft. Summer became the worst three months of my entire life.
"You're not actually gonna go though, right, El?" I'm standing at the bottom of the stair case, feet cemented to the last step as I wait for his reply.
Elvis and his mama and daddy all look up at me from where they're gathered in the living room. He drops the hand holding the paper to his side, as if hiding it from my sight would erase it from my mind. Uncomfortably, he clears his throat.
I swivel my head, looking from his mama and then back to Elvis. No one moves to speak, and I break the building tension again as I realize what their silence means. "Elvis!"
He sighs, lifting his hand to rub his brow. "I've got to go, darlin’. I can't—"
I stomp my foot against the wooden staircase and it makes a loud thud that echos through the house. "Tell them you can't! You can't go—you can't leave us!"
Obviously becoming frustrated, Elvis takes a few steps towards the stairwell, waving his draft notice at me. "I've got no choice, alright? It's that or they fucking arrest me!"
"UGH!" I screech, turning on my heels and stomping up the stairs. It's childish of me but had I stayed planted there any longer, the tears burning in the back of my eyes would have made their appearance, and I don’t want him to see me cry.
Elvis shouts after me. "C'mon, really, [y/n]? You're gonna cry? Get back down here!"
I stomp louder, ignoring him, and storm into my room. I slam the door once I'm inside. Elvis hated it when I slammed doors. Once I reach my bed, I rip the sheets off of it and then clamp them shut around me. Only then do I allow the burning tears to start down my face.
Germany. He was going to Germany. Out of the millions of people in the world, what were the odds that they pulled his name. Apparently pretty damn good. What was he thinking? Elvis couldn't fight in a war. Surely the Colonel would have something to say about this. As much as I hated my stepdad, I was certain this was something we could agree on.
My mama had married young. It was a fairytale story in which she'd fallen madly in love with my daddy her senior year of high school and dropped out to marry him then and there. My daddy had been dealt a good set of cards by his own father and was a very successful lawyer down in New Orleans. He died of a heart attack when I was five, leaving my momma his entire inheritance. A few years later, she married a Mr. Colonel Tom Parker. My momma was beautiful, but he had married her for the money. He proved my point by divorcing her two years later, leaving me stuck between two homes.
I loathed the summers that I would be sent to spend with my stepdad. He'd never done ill to me, but again I had little reason to like him either. He tolerated me for three months of the year as his form of child support, and I spent weeks dreading following him and his little circus act around for the sake of 'show business'. That was until I met his up and coming act Elvis Presley.
Once Elvis blew up, the Colonel finally set aside his circus life and moved us to Graceland to focus on the young star full time. Suddenly, I found myself looking forward to leaving behind my mother's beautiful Louisiana estate and spending more and more time in Memphis, Tennessee.
But if I had ever learned anything about my stepfather, it was that he would do anything for the sake of business. Which is why instead of shutting down Elvis' ridiculous notion that he was going to enlist in the army, he encouraged it, hoping to make him some sort of all American hero or whatever he called it.
We throw Elvis a going away party the night before he ships off for Germany. I refuse to attend, spending the evening moping in my bedroom. The happy chatter and music coming from downstairs only serve to worsen my mood.
I wish everyone would just go home so I could sulk in peace.
I kick off the shoes I had worn for the evening and sit with my legs crossed a top my bed. A tattered flannel dog sits where I had left it on my pillow last night, and I pick it up, realizing I had forgotten to put it away.
Elvis had given me the plush dog at the end of the first summer I spent at Graceland. Something to remember him by back home, he had said. For a long time, I never went anywhere without it. But I'd eventually forgotten about the dog and didn't touch it for years. I'd started carrying it around again now that he was leaving.
Knuckles rap softly at my door, but before I can even stand up to answer it, Elvis is pushing the door open and stepping hesitantly into my bedroom.
I glare at him, dropping the flannel stuffed animal to the ground. "I didn't say you could come in."
He ignores my harsh rebuke and crouches down to retrieve the stuffed dog. Methodically, as if lost in a memory, he turns the plush toy over in his hands. I watch as his fingers muse with the soft flannel of the dog's ear. Standing up, he slowly walks towards the bed. "I don't wanna fight tonight."
I turn my head. Between his freshly cut hair and crisp uniform, it's all too much.
The bed dips underneath me, and Elvis places the toy in my lap. "I haven't seen this thing in a while," he comments, prompting me in a futile attempt to get me to talk.
I just shrug, still not looking directly at him. Because I can't tell him that I haven't slept without the stupid plush dog in months now. Can't tell him that because I don't want him to think I'm just some dumb little kid.
"C'mon," Elvis persists, a playful tone to his voice as he nudges his elbow into my side. "Don't go tellin' me you're too grown for that kinda stuff now, lil’ girl."
I set the dog off of my lap, as if wanting to remove it from view and out of the conversation.
"I'll be too grown by the time you're comin' home. Turnin' eighteen next year," I point out bitterly, reminding him that he's missing my birthday.
Elvis is quiet for a moment. "Eighteen don't mean all that much," he finally says. "You'll still be my lil’ girl."
His little girl. His dumb kid sister. It's all just the same, I think. That is all he will ever think of me.
I'd been counting down the days until I turned eighteen, waiting for that growth spurt, waiting for puberty to hit, waiting for the day that I could shake him awake and say, Look. Look at how much I've changed. I'm not your kid sister anymore. I don't want to be your kid sister anymore.
I'd always been his 'lil’ girl'. And for a long time that had been okay. I was fourteen when I permanently moved into Graceland. We were practically raised together. We were best friends and fought like brother and sister. But now that I was older, it was hard to see him like that anymore. He was still my best friend in the entire world, but I'd grown, and I understood a lot more than I did when I was fourteen. I noticed the sharpness of his face now, the childlike roundness gone. I noticed the new fullness of his body and how it balanced out his once lanky frame.
He'd become a man without me realizing it, and I desperately didn't want to be his little sister anymore. But now that he was leaving, none of it mattered. I'd grow up without him there to see it, and he'd move on, find some nice girl in Germany.
Elvis tilts his head, trying to smile at me, his soft pink lips pressed together. "I'll throw you a big party when I get back, yeah? Mama'll make you a cake, and we'll sing 'happy birthday' even if it's the middle of June."
I bite my lip and laugh, thinking about how ridiculous it would be because I know that he's being serious.
God, I'm gonna miss him.
"Two years isn't so long," my voice cracks, and I laugh through the sob as I finally turn towards him. "Right?"
Elvis smiles. "I'll be back before you know it."
The day Elvis came back was a cold day in Memphis, Tennessee. The warm weather of budding summer had yet to come, leaving us all bundled up in heavy coats as we waited amongst crowds and crowds of people at the train station. But then again, summers had never been quite the same since Elvis left two years ago.
Gladys held onto my elbow beside me, and I would point out in the direction of each new train that appeared. To my left was my boyfriend of six months. We had met due to some mutual friends and hit it off pretty quickly. He was no Elvis, and so I had been hesitant at first, but he was persistent in asking me out for weeks. I had finally relented, and he surprised me. He was good to me.
"Oh look!" Gladys exclaimed, patting my hand and drawing my attention back to the tracks. "That's him!"
A black train engine approached us, slowing down as it neared and stopped at the station in a whoosh of steam. After a bustle of excitement at the side of the loading dock, I caught a glimpse of his dark black hair. With the help of the conductor and a couple police officers, Elvis began to push his way through the crowd.
He greeted him mama first, hugged her tightly and unabashedly let her kiss his cheeks as he stooped to reach her. He'd grown a lot in two years. Next was his daddy, who's hand he shook firmly and then leaned in, clapping him on the back.
When he got to me, he hugged me like a big brother would do, slinging a heavy arm around my shoulders and drawing me into his side to place a smooched kiss to the top of my head. And then when he pulled away and caught sight of my boyfriend standing at my side, he hardened his blue eyes and squared his shoulders in that same big brotherly fashion, stiffly holding his hand out to shake. If he was angry with me—as he should have been—he didn't show it. I hadn't told him about my boyfriend, but I assumed Gladys had let him on about it.
Moving on after an awkwardly stiff handshake, Elvis greeted the Colonel as well as Sonny and Jerry, and then gathered his things. We went home and life went back normal, exactly as it was before Elvis had left. Everything went back to how it was. We laughed and joked and quarreled as we did before he left, and pretended to ignore the problem the presence of my boyfriend proposed.
For most, Elvis and I’d closeness would have likely torn apart any romantic relationships. We were too comfortable with each other to just be friends, and yet that’s what we where. That’s what we had to be. We took what we could get.
What I would have done had I not stumbled into the wall, likely waking up the entire house and causing Elvis to stick his head out of his bedroom door, I honestly don't know. I wouldn't have called him, I think to myself, because brothers aren't supposed to know that their little sister's in bed with a boy. But he's not my brother, and I don't have a choice because before the words leave my mouth, he's pulling me into his bedroom, shielding me from everything except for the view of his wide shoulders that are wedged between the doorframe.
My legs are shaking. My entire body is shaking. I'm lightheaded from crying and my chest burns from all the hyperventilating I was doing moments before. The insides of my legs tingle, and I realize it's because liquid is dripping down them. I don't want to know what color it is. Neither is good, I think.
Out in the hall, I can hear footsteps muffled against the carpeted floor. "[y/n] run off in there?"
Elvis steps further out of the door, still using his body to block me from view. "She got a reason to be runnin'?" His voice is dangerously monotone.
I hear the other voice scoff. He must be standing out in the hall, a safe distance from Elvis. "Look, I didn't do nothin' she didn't ask for."
Elvis looks back at me from over his shoulder, taking in my current state under his gaze. My face burns with shame and humiliation.
His eyeliner black eyes are steely, almost murderously calm. It's the look of someone who's about to kill a man. I know that he notices my lack of shorts and half unbuttoned night shirt because it's his. Stolen from Elvis long ago, it's just long enough to cover the curve of my ass and enough to hide the fact that I'm not even wearing panties. And maybe that is why he doesn't kill the boy on the other side of the door then and there.
"Get out of my goddamn house."
"I didn't—"
"Get out before I break your fucking face in," he snarls.
The noise is enough to stir Jerry, who pokes his head up the stairwell. Ever the peacekeeper, I hear his mellow voice float down the hall. "EP? Everything okay?"
Never breaking eye contact with the boy, Elvis' voice has returned to the chillingly quiet tone. "Get to stepping, pal," he growls. I can picture his face, white teeth bared into a menacing snarl like one of those dogs who's yard the postman stays away from.
There is a heavy pause in the conversation and then I hear loud footsteps descending the stairs. The front door slams shut.
The moment he retreats from the door, I'm clinging to him, grabbing at his soft satin shirt and hiccuping into his chest. His palm cradles the back of my head, hugging me into his body. His presence is comforting enough to stop my trembling, but when he pulls me away from his chest, another sob escapes my mouth.
"Please, you can't tell the Colonel, El." I reach for him again, just wanting to be held.
He holds my shoulder at arms length, worried blue eyes taking me in. "What happened, lil’ girl?"
Another sob rakes through my chest, tearing at my raw lungs and choking up my throat. My hand grabs at his shirt, desperate to hold on to him. "I thought I was ready. I really did." I'm swallowing spit as I talk, still trying to breathe and cry at the same time. "And then I couldn't— He wouldn't—"
Elvis' jaw hardens and he lets me push myself into his chest again, hushing my cries. "Okay, okay. It's okay, darlin'."
I hiccup into his shirt, pressing my cheek to his chest. The heavy thrum of his heart pounds against my ear. He's still breathing hard, holding me securely against him. "El, You can't—"
"I ain't gonna tell no one, lil’ girl, alright?" Elvis states firmly, as if to put my worries to an end once and for all.
"Hey." Elvis takes half a step backwards, doing his best to detach me from his body. I let out another halfhearted sob again, my eyes blurry and red from crying. "Hey—now, enough of that. Let's clean you up." His tone is firmer than I would have expected, but it works enough to sober me up.
I nod, emitting one last hiccup and dragging the backs of my hands over my eyes.
Walking into his bathroom, Elvis sits me down on the closed toilet seat and after running a wash rag under the warm sink water, crouches in front of me. Suddenly I'm in grade school again, waiting for him to clean my scraped knee because I never did know what was good for me.
"Gonna clean you up, 'kay, darlin'?" His tender blue eyes hold mine.
The wet clothe drips onto the ground and his finger tips ghost up my thigh, brushing aside the shirt bundled at my waist. I see his hands tremble, and he swallows as his eyes take in my bareness. He's realizing I'm not wearing panties. Elvis sniffs and squeezes my knee with one hand. Wordlessly, he brings the wash clothe softly between my thighs.
I twitch slightly at the sensation, wanting to mewl and push his hand away, but I remain still as he works. He won't look up at me as he tenderly drags the clothe between my legs, focused on ridding me of every memory of tonight.
It's a terribly strange experience, having someone who is so close to you care for you in such a compromising position. And yet there's a mutual understanding there that says, 'this is okay with me so long as it's okay with you'.
Finally, the feel of the clothe disappears, but Elvis remains crouched, his head between my knees. He's so close that I feel his breath on me.
I imagine his nose brushing my bare cunt.
The problem was that I was exactly the kind of pretty that he picked out in girls every weekend and sought out after shows, and we both knew it.
The problem was that I was his little girl who's boyfriends he ran off and runny nose he wiped.
He sighs and kisses the inside of each of my knees. "C'mon. Let's get you in the shower, lil’ girl." He sits back on his heels and stands up, tossing the red stained rag into the bin.
I watch from the toilet seat as he turns on the water for the shower that he doesn't even like. Elvis had a preference for baths and I knew because he alway requested a room with one wherever he stayed. The only reason he had a shower at Graceland was because it was easier to have sex in.
I knew this because I'd asked him one day as I laid sprawled across his mattress, flipping through a magazine. He was in the shower at the time, the door half ajar as he had left it, the steam of the shower spilling through the crack. His girlfriend had just left and he'd run upstairs, tossing his shirt on me as he went. He'd nearly had his jeans off before he even slipped through the bathroom door, and I'd caught a glimpse of his blue boxers.
A while after, as I listened to the spray of the water against the tiles, I'd asked him then and there, why he'd taken the room with the shower and given the other to Jerry.
"What?" he had asked distractedly, his voice raised so that I could hear him.
"How come you got a shower when you don't even like 'em?"
The spray of the shower head cut off and I could hear him moving around in the bathroom. Through the crack of the door, I could see his reflection in the mirror as he preened at his wet ebony hair.
"Just easier I recon. When you have a girl over, I mean."
Elvis was nearing the cusp of twenty himself and so the topic of sex was not new nor uncomfortable to him. Besides, I was just his kid sister.
I was sixteen at the time and had no real concept of what it meant to me when he brought girls over. I guess I knew that he never grew especially attached to any specific one, and they went out of his life just as quickly as they had come.
"Oh," was all that I had said afterwards, watching him as he walked out of the bathroom, his face flushed red, towel bunched in his hand. Instead of using it to dry off his hair, he tossed it into the laundry bin and grabbed a fresh one.
"Water's probably hot enough—," Elvis says, drawing me from my thoughts.
I tug at the rumpled collar of my—his—night shirt. "Will you..." I swallow away the knot in my throat. "Will you get in with me? I don't wanna..."
No. He's supposed to say no because someone's got to draw the line somewhere. We aren't kids anymore, no matter how desperately we both cling to the idea.
He pauses. "Yeah, sure, sweet thing."
I pull off the silky night shirt without a second thought. It was just Elvis and he'd probably seen me nearly naked a thousand times before. I can see him in the reflection of the mirror behind me, sliding off his own clothes and trying to avoid looking over in my direction. His is cock hard against his stomach.
"Go on," he says, ushering me into the shower, as though intent on pretending his body wasn't responding acutely to the situation. Elvis follows me in, his large frame taking up the bulk of the space.
Tangles of my wet hair falls in cascades down my shoulder. I let the stream pelt into my face, opening my mouth only to breathe and spitting out the water that enters. Rust tinged water swirls down the drain after running down my legs. A hiccup shakes my shoulders and more water flows into my mouth. I hadn't realized I was still crying.
Elvis' arms pull me into his chest, resting just under my breasts, and one hand slides up my throat, tipping my chin up so that I can breathe. "Hey." His bare skin feels foreign against my back. Forbidden in a sense. "Enough of that. Breathe, lil’ girl."
My head falls back limply against his shoulder, and I allow my eyes to close. The steady weight of Elvis' chin comes to rest in the joint of my neck and shoulder as he holds me close. One of his thumbs strokes the swell of my breast, just barley ghosting the bud of my nipple. Even in the hot shower, the action makes me shiver.
"I should have run him off after dinner. Shouldn't have boys around the house this late," he whispers softly.
"I'm grown now, Elvis," I remind him weakly. "I can do what I what."
"And you wanted him?"
I can feel the girth of his arousal against my back. He emits a small huff each time I move. Elvis runs a hand down my body, not stopping until his large fingers are splayed across the expanse of my stomach. His other hand still tweaks at my nipple, cupping the fullness of my breast in his palm.
It feels good enough to make my body feel like putty in his hands. I'd let those hands do anything to me.
"You know, you were the first boy to break my heart?" I say instead.
Elvis sighs heavily against my body, his fingers dig into the soft flesh of my belly. "You were too little, and I was grown," he says in his own way of answering me.
"And now?"
His hand slips from my stomach to slide around the curve of my ass, and he tips his head up to press his nose into my wet hair. "God, I hate the thought that his hands were on you. That he touched you."
I feel his puffy pink lips hover above the tender skin of my neck, his breath hot against my skin. His nose skims the shell of my ear, and he kisses the joint between my neck and shoulder. Elvis's hand travels back around my body, sinking lower lower, until his forefingers just barely ghost my bareness. I whimper as my sensitive cunt clenches around emptiness.
Elvis' mouth is hot against my ear. "Do you trust me?"
There are still faint smudges of dark mascara under my eyes, and I've only just stopped all the ragged, unsteady breathing. I’m still aching and tender. I think about how I didn't think twice about running into his arms, even if I was too ashamed to call for him myself. I'd trust him with my life.
I nod.
"Words. I need words."
I swallow, pressing my nose to the column of his throat. "I've always trusted you."
There's no tension between us as he rubs his fingers against my cunt, tenderly exploring the heat of me. There's no hurry as his fingers prod at my opening, feeling the tightness and resistance of my body. I reflexively push my hips into his hand when his thumb passes over my clit, sending jolts up my spine. The hand holding my body against him tightens, pulling me back into his chest, and he draws his hand away. His fingers spread and my arousal, tinged with red, clings between them. The spray of water slowly washes the color away.
I can feel his silent anger in every breath, how it stalls and then releases. It's evident in the way his body moves around me. "He didn't do nothin' wrong," I whisper timidly. "Just—it was too late by the time I realized I didn't want it to be him."
Elvis stills behind me, and his hand comes up to crane my chin around to look at him. His hooded blue eyes are questioning. "He didn't—"
I sniff embarrassedly, a broken huff of a laugh coming out of my mouth. "Pop my cherry? Not necessarily."
As if soaking in my words, Elvis observes my face, thumbing my bottom lip thoughtfully. Then he dips his head down, capturing my lips with his. His mouth is hot and he licks into my mouth. For a moment, I'm painfully conscious of my youth and the years of experience that he has on me. It's obvious that he's done this before, kissed a lot of girls before me. However, I could get drunk on his taste alone, and I go with it, building confidence as he groans into my mouth.
"Want you to do it, El." His large hands feel up and down my body, and he groans again.
"Yeah?" he asks breathily.
"Yeah."
I nearly stumble as he moves us together as one unit, and my back hits the cold wall of the shower. His body is on mine immediately, and I chase his lips, desperate to taste him again. Our mouths connect, consuming each other, savoring the taste.
A gasp escapes my mouth at the sensation of his fingers prodding at my entrance, but he swallows it, pushing in one finger and then adding another. It's uncomfortable at first, and I squirm at the stretch, but then he's curling his fingers and petting at my velvet walls and my vision swims. My eyes must literally roll into the back of my head because he laughs at me.
"That feel good, lil’ girl?" Elvis hums.
It does but it's not what I want.
My attention goes back to his cock, which still sprung alertly against his abdomen, except now it's a flushed red. The head engorged and swollen, begs to be touched, and when I do, it's Elvis' turn for his eyes to roll into the back of his head. I don't know what I'm doing, and he must realize that because he slides his fingers out of me and cradles my jaw, his other hand wrapping around my fist. With his large hand over mine, Elvis drags my hand rhythmically over his cock. I take a guess and drag my thumb over the tip. His hips buck into my fist.
"So good, sweet girl," he rasps in that throaty southern drawl. After stroking himself a while longer, Elvis pulls my hand away from his cock and instead interlocks our fingers above my head.
His eyes find mine, panting heavily in the sliver of space between us.  "I'll be gentle," he promises, and then he's pushing in, the head of his cock pressing deep inside me.
With the slick of my arousal, the stretch is bearable, and quickly turns in to pleasure when he rocks his hips slowly into me. I can feel him hot and full within me. His second thrust is more fluid than the last one, pulling out and then sliding back in one motion. Above my head, my hand squeezes his and he reciprocates the gesture. I keen into his shoulder, biting down each time he drags deliciously in and out of me.
"Doin' so good for me," Elvis praises, kissing my cheeks and neck and lips over and over again. His next thrust has my stomach coiling, bubbling with hot pleasure. When he leans in to kiss me once more, he capture my bottom lip between his teeth and then releases it, leaning in again to kiss the swollen flesh.
"El—" I can hardly utter a coherent sentence. "I'm—" I can feel myself slipping, my mind fogging up.
"It's okay, I've got you. Let go, lil' girl. You can let go."
It feels like a rubber band pops in my stomach, and I moan, clenching around him as I come. Soon Elvis is releasing inside of me as well, claiming my walls with his seed. When he pulls out, I whine at the feeling of emptiness.
Elvis is still pressed into me, as if our bodies have become one entity. His release runs down my legs and pools on the tiles of the shower. Exhausted, I collapse into him. We’re both spent, chests heaving, legs shaking.
He laughs, pecking my swollen lips. "Looks like you need another shower."

If I can ask you for another one shot 😙.It's set quite a few years after the events of Hogwarts and mc gets pregnant with Sebastian and it turns out it's a little girl and they call her Miriam, can I ask what Fig's reaction would be? 💜💜
Sorry for the wait! Been working on this during my free time and then I was writing it here in drafts and I closed it before saving it and had to rewrite half of it 😭😭 hope it's good. I really like daddy!Seb.
MC couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of her husband.
Sebastian was cooing at the bundle of blankets in his arms, making faces and showering them with all the love and affection he had. MC's heart was soaring, and it would probably explode if she could actually see the giggling baby inside the blankets.
As it was, Sebastian claimed it was too chilly for her baby girl and proceeded to cover her and wrap her in all the blankets he could find before they had to leave for Fig's apartment.
"Who's a good baby girl?" Sebastian cooed, nuzzling the blanket, or that was what it looked like, he probably had a better view of the hidden baby in there. "Who's the best baby girl?"
"I am," MC smirked from his side, making him choke on his own laughter.
"Merlin, MC, not in front of the baby," Sebastian scolded playfully.
MC only shrugged.
They finally arrived at the building and she pulled the door open for her babies.
"Why, thank you," Sebastian grinned jokingly, making her roll her eyes.
"Just get in," MC said. "They're waiting for us."
Sebastian's grin remained in place even as he leaned to kiss her chastely.
As she suspected, their friends and former professors were already there when they entered the apartment. Aesop and Dinah were the first to notice them, so they made their way to them.
"And how's my most troublemaker student doing these days?" Dinah asked with a teasing grin, trying to peak over the blankets in Sebastian's arms.
"She's talking to you, love," Sebastian told MC.
MC scoffed and Dinah rolled her eyes.
"I'm certainly talking to you Sebastian," the old witch said. "I have to admit sometimes I miss you in my classroom but not in the castle in general."
Sebastian feigned hurt and looked at Aesop for help when it was clear MC was not going to step in.
"I understand the feeling all to well, Dinah," Aesop shrugged carelessly, glancing at the red head on the other side of the room. "I can't believe we have to see them in this reunions. How Eleazar does it is anyone's guess."
"Aw please you all love us," MC teased. "I bet you do miss us. Tha castle must be boring if the new generations don't break the rules as often."
"With ideas like that? We don't," Matilda added with a tired sigh and a warm smile. "How are you doing? Is this the new Sallow?"
"Ah yes, quit distracting us," Dinah frowned. "When are you introducing your baby?"
"Unless you expect us to wait until they're eleven," Aesop said sarcastically.
"She," MC clarified, blushing. "I was actually- I wanted to talk to Eleazar first. Grandparent privileges and all."
Dinah, much like Sebastian earlier, feigned a hurt wince and even put her free hand over her chest.
"Sebastian, what about me?"
Sebastian chuckled and Aesop shooed them off with an eye roll.
"He was in the kitchen the last time I saw him," Matilda said. "Ignore Dinah. She's had a bit too much to drink I think."
"Nah, she's fine," Sebastian grinned. "But I wasn't the one carrying this cutie pie for nine months. So, mom's the boss. For now," he added in a whisper.
"I heard that!" MC called over her shoulder.
Sebastian snickered and followed her through the crowd, avoiding their closest friends and the nosiest people. Sebastian was surprised when he noticed Ominis in a corner talking to Poppy. Now he was even more excited to show off his little girl. He'd put her in his best friends arms and call him godfather before he could protest.
The kitchen was more quiet. Eleazar was standing near the oven, whispering something to the house elf guarding whatever it was in there.
"And when they arrive I want the other elves to bring out the cake," Eleazar continued. "Champagne too, although I'm not sure if she's allowed to drink while breast feeding. Maybe champagne isn't a good idea."
"Eli! Don't talk about me breast feeding with the elves!" MC cried, red as a tomato.
Eleazar spun around so fast he almost toppled over the elf behind him. Said elf looked at MC with fear and pulled on his ears.
"The cake is not ready yet, Misus!"
"Don't worry about the cake," MC waved him off. "Eli, tell your elf to stop punishing himself and come meet your granddaughter."
Eleazar looked stunned and Sebastian giggled into the blankets that covered his daughter. MC sighed fondly and took one of Eleazar's hands to pull him close to them.
"Seb," she asked.
Sebastian straightened up, like a proud parent, and offered his baby to the man that saved MC all those years ago.
"Meet Miriam Anne Sallow, Eli," MC introduced softly.
Eleazar was staring at the baby in awe and he jolted at hearing the name. He glanced at MC and Sebastian, the stunned expression not leaving his face. Sebastian nodded knowingly and offered a warm smile.
"She's beautiful, MC," Eleazar whispered, tearing up when baby Miriam grinned gummily up at him. "Looks exactly like you."
"Well, that's the Sallow hair," MC winced. "And she could have freckles."
"Babe," Sebastian took her fidgeting hand. "Accept the compliment. She's as beautiful as her mom and everyone can see it."
MC blushed, not as hard as before, and nodded.
"I'm proud of you," Eleazar finished, giving back the baby to her dad who welcomed her into his arms excitedly. "You're doing great."
MC hugged Eleazar while Sebastian jumped from one foot to the other. MC laughed.
"Go show Ominis, Seb."
Sebastian didn't need to be told twice. He left father-daughter in the kitchen while he took his own daughter to meet her godfather.

This is a draft for the gen z! Yuu fic that I was thinking of writing back then. Here's the draft of it instead of letting it rot im my laptop lol. Enjoy...?
----
Yuu swear that whatever the fuck is happening to them right now, is a punishment from god because...What the actual fuck?
"influencer pranks these days are getting out of hand" They mutter to themself, mentally done at whatever bullshit is happening right now.
Yuu's in a box. Not just any box though, it's a coffin, they're trapped in a god-damned coffin. Today was supposed to be a normal Tuesday, Yuu wakes up, eat breakfast and go to school. But instead, what happen was their sleep-deprived ass got snatched up in the middle of the streets by an emo carriage.
Yuu was kidnapped by an emo carriage and is now trapped in a coffin.
Gee, they wonder if that even is a considerable reason for them to miss the Calculus exam that was supposed to take place today. Ah, fuck it, Jason's grandma "died" literally like five times last school year and still graduated. Who's to say Yuu won't?
"Hello?? Uh, I know this shitty type of content is what getting y'all cash nowadays but what the fuck? please let me out, I promise I won't sue y'all or create a call-out post on Twitte-I mean X! X!"
"..."
"hello?"
"..."
"Fuck it, I'll just kick the door down"
---
Dire Crowley, the esteemed headmaster of Night Raven College, is in a wild and confusing predicament right now. Somehow, a month before even the new school year officially began, A student somehow arrived in of the coffins.
In all of his years being the headmaster, such thing had never happened. Great sevens, this situation had never once even crossed his mind as a potential problem! Did the Ebony carriage have a problem? Perhaps even the mirror itself? But both of that would be impossible!
"goodness gracious, where is that child" he muttered to himself, a hint of worry lacing his voice.
Dire Crowley was just finishing his stack of paperwork when a distressed and confused ghost school keeper barged into his office informing him that one of the coffins received a student. The headmaster rushed to the scene right away only to find a busted coffin and a missing "student".
This all leads to him, along with squad of ghosts, scurrying along the school grounds to find the wayward child.
"Headmaster! I found them!" Bobby, one of the ghost staff that manages the cafeteria, shouted with glee and relief "they're at the top floor of west wing's tower!"
He hurriedly rushed (again) to the scene and found the teen in a complete daze, their eyes focused on the ocean's horizon. Crowley cleared his throat and the supposed student immediately snapped their attention on him.
"The island view is breathtaking, correct?" Crowley began, trying to ease them "it's one of the boasting qualities of N-"
"..island...stein.." they mumbled something but Crowley only manages to make out a few words.
"par–"
"DON'T FUCKING TELL ME I'M TRAFFICKED TO AN EIPSTEIN ISLAND-TYPE OF SHIT"

Hii your blog is so inspiring and helpful ❤
I don't know if you already posted about this but I want advice :D
I'm studying the equivalent to High School in my country (two years only) and I'm trying to strive more. Lately I have realised that I never have free time. I spend the afternoons studying, then I have dinner with my parents, watch something on TV, go to sleep and at those hours I'm so tired that I don't have the energy to do anything else I enjoy. Meanwhile, I see my friends and others at my class going out, going to extracurriculars, getting things done faster...
I've always had the feeling that I only do the things I like during summer break.
I can't help but wonder how am I gonna do when I'm in collage (if I actually get there)!
I would like to ask you if you had any advice, or tips about managing time etc
Pd: sorry if this was too long, personal or if I made any gramatical mistakes lol
Hii, sorry it took me so long to answer! From what I heard, it sounds like so kind of burnout. I'm no expert on this topic, so I'm going to leave the links of the sources just in case! (x) (x)
One of main components it's exhaustation. Feeling tired all the time and having no energy. Not only it impacts the mental and physicial health, but the perfomance. This usually stems of being always "on", overwork culture/mentality, pressure (whether internal or external) and the dislike of the tasks. What I recommend is:
Actually rest. Do activities that make mentally rest or dont do any activity, just take some time for yourself. Listen to your favourite music, take a bath, do some breathing exercise. Relax. Here are some more mental rest activities.
Dont beat yourself for resting. A lot of times, we "rest" but it isnt actually rest, because instead of focusing on yourself you are worrying about not doing anything productive 24/7. That looks like rest, but it isnt, it is just more tiring. All the toxic productivity mentality has to go.
Schedule time to do nothing. Establish clear moments for resting.
Take breaks.
Prioritaze tasks. Yes, we all want to have everything done perfectly and complete, but sometimes that is just impossible. The best way to classify them in order is 1) urgent and important; 2) not urgent but important; 3) urgent but no important; and 4) not urgent not important.
Have a good sleep schedule.
Drink water and eat all your meals
Find a hobbie or something you are passionate or at least midly interested on. Something that fills you with joy and seek to. At the beggining it will feel like a waste of time, but once you find something, well, let's just say, try it.
Another thing is the mindset. Negative thinking is unmotivating and tiring. Switching to a more possitive mentality does wonders. There are a lot of ways to reframe negative thoughts, I'm not familiar with most of them so I cant really explain, but here is an article that explains on detail how to do it.
Even though exhaustation and mentality are key to feeling burn out, inefficiency also has an important role. There are millions of study methods, but not a single one works for every person. Maybe you use a "good" study technique, but it isnt the right one for you. I'd recommend trying new ways of studying you havent tried before, see if at least one works for you. I'm going to honest with you, I dont know a lot of methods, since i found the one that works with me I havent tried new ways, here is a list of study methods with explanations that I'm using to draft future posts. Here are the links for the posts are posted about blurting, feynman and pq4r, if any of those sound helpful.
SELF CARE!!!!! Self-care is so important. It's been a common theme in this post, but I will repeat it once more, take care of yourself.
If these are also helpful, I'll leave the links for previous posts about motivation to start, motivation in general, and a reward system for motivation. Not all the tips in those posts will work, actually, some of them may contradict with what I just said, but I posted them with a different situation in mind. Take the tips that will help you and ignore the ones you think will just make it worse.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Honestly, I think it could be interesting having Thunder's siblings be old enough to at least interact with him before he left. Seems like a prime way to display how bad parents like Clear Sky turn their kids against each other if it benefits them sometimes- especially when they won't play their games anymore. Plus, it'd be interesting to see them interact with Sparrow Fur, and how she'd feel about them.
I think I've got an interesting direction in mind, to tie in the new family.
Clear Sky Baby Expansion: Draft 1
Thunder Storm is the firstborn. All others in his litter are stillborn, as previously stated.
Ages are shuffled around a bit in BB. Thunder Storm is looking at about 1 year old when he goes to train under Clear Sky, encouraged by his mother.
It's only here that he learns that he has half siblings. They're significantly younger, a little under 6 months.
Their mother is pretty clearly not close to Clear Sky, and treated like most other cats. Thunder Storm pieces together that her life was a lot better when his halfsibs were younger, but it seems like Clear Sky lost interest in them pretty quickly.
Something about this makes him uncomfortable; but he doesn't have the words yet to say that he feels like she has been used and discarded
NOTE: I am planning for the relationship between Thunder Storm and this character to be generally positive, but in a sad way. "I don't know how to say you deserve better without calling my dad a piece of shit."
Tiger Sky and Pale Sky, notably, do not carry their mother's last name. This is very rare for Tribe cats, it's customary to do an even split.
They're also both girls, since there's no stated gender.
Clear badly plays favorites, and has chosen Thunder Storm as his current favorite because he is the largest, most charismatic kit.
Thunder thinks the two younger kids are brats at first, but then realizes, that's the only way they get attention
I may have Pale or Tiger take the role of Fircone; Thunder thinks he's close with them, but they turned the minute they could get a step ahead in their relationship with their dad... and Tall Shadow merc'd them in the First Battle, not knowing that she was Thunder's half-sister.
Clear Sky is unfortunately very unkind to the surviving twin. "We all fought our hardest in the First Battle. If you had been stronger you might have saved her."
This also becomes a thing he uses as a method of control :/ "I'm just trying to keep you safe! I never want to lose another child like how I lost your twin! I hope you never feel what I feel!"
Tiger: "i guess i wont go hang out with my friends because it reminds my dad of my sister dying, which was actually my fault <:("
Tiger Sky will PROBABLY be the survivor because I like the name more.
Eventually Skystar has another litter, Rumble Sky and Lightning Sky (Note: still not named for their mother), after being betrayed by Star Flower.
It is noted that he did not even consider a name for the lost twin and it's pretty weird they have names related to Thunderstar.
Sparrow Heart betrays ThunderClan for SkyClan before the First Battle, and so definitely had to compete against both twins.

love your work sweetie;) could you do a fic where Lewis and the reader are married and max is the reader brother
Putting him first- Lewis Hamilton (ft Max Verstappen)
Trying to clear out my drafts & found this!! So this is kind of a mixture between angst & fluff!! Of course, no hate to the Verstappen family... it's simply just a made-up scenario! This is awful lol but I wanted to clear out a couple of old requests (New requests are open) 🤍
Part 2
Tumblr media
Summary- You always knew it was risky marrying someone who was bound to become one of your brother's biggest rivals in years to come! But the 2nd your eyes landed on the brit you knew your connection was too strong to ignore... and 4 years later you were taking his last name and carrying his first child!
"You going back over there..." Max groaned as he noticed you grabbing all your belongings from the red bull suite "You've been going over there an awful lot recently y'know... anyone would think you support Mercedes" You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his jealousy "It is my husband's & father of my child's team...& I've been here since I've arrived, I need to see him at some point today..."
Your dad scoffed at your comment, clearly unimpressed with your decision of putting him first... once again "& He is your brother... stop putting in laws before fresh & Blood!"
"I'm not having this conversation again dad..." Sighing you naturally placed your hand on your swollen belly "When are you going to realize that Lewis is a part of my family too..." It was safe to say that your dad wasn't your husbands biggest fan... even before his rival with Max he had some agenda against Lewis... always saying that he was using you to get inside Max's head and mess with his performances. No matter how many times Lewis tried to comprehend with your fathers actions there was no use, he wouldn't change his mind!
"Were family first tho (y/n)…" Max chimed in "Dad's right you always put him first...!" Anger poured through your veins as you listened to your family's selfish claims! "Do you even understand how much I have sacrificed for you guys!" You hissed, trying your hardest not to get to angry due to the little guest in your tummy "I was giving you my whole damn support last season... It almost destroyed my relationship!" Last season was not only a tough one for Max & Lewis, having both your fiancé and brother battling it out in one of the toughest rival in F1 in history hit you hard as you had to constantly split yourself in two... not taking any sides to stop any arguments!
"Oh here we go again... always acting like a fucking victim" Your dad groaned "See them two over there..." Pointing at Max and Kelly in the corner "There real family... she's a real daughter giving her all and everything into this team! Everything into this family! YOU!" Your eyes closed as you braced yourself for the expected words "Your just a fake, your not a true part of this family. so go! Fuck off to your husband... get out of my sight..."
With glossy eyes you looked over to Max, hoping that he would finally stand up to your fathers words... but like always he remained silent... just staring blankly ahead at you... "Okay..." You whispered, voice shaking as you nodded to yourself causing the tears to slip down faster "But if you... any of you!" You hissed, glaring at Max "Think your going to be a part of my sons life you must take me for a joke!"
Max and Jos eyes grew wide as they took in your words "Oh yeah congratulations dad... you're going to have a grandson..." You glared, turning on your heel as you made your way out of the red bull paddock, leaving them all with a mixture of feelings...
-------------------------------------------------------------
Your eyes stung all the way to the Mercedes paddock, ignoring the looks of sincerity from the Mercedes crew as you searched hopelessly for Lewis... "I'm so sorry..." You sniffled as you landed on someone's chest, your nose immediately picking up the familiar scent. Your teary eyes looked up to find an equally concerned Lewis... "Baby... what happened?" He cooed, wiping a piece of hair from your eyes... your tears only got worst as people started to crowd round, frantically trying to see if you and the baby was okay. "Guys, please give us some space please..." Lewis yelled, eyes not going from you as he asked you again, calmly repeating the words as he stroke your hair "Look at me baby... tell me please... what happened!"
Shaking your head, you said the words he was sort of expecting "They did it again..." Lewis's jaw clenched as took your hand in his, walking you over to his private suite as he sat you down on the sofa, crouching down in front of you placing one of his hands firmly on your bump. "What did they say now darling... don't miss anything out..."
Lewis listened carefully as you recited the words that your father and Max and said, not missing anything out as the anger grew inside Lewis! He knew things were hard for you... having to constantly splitting yourself in half to make sure both teams are equally supported...
"You know I don't mind you staying with them gorgeous..." Lewis sighed, taking a seat next you as he kissed your temple "I mean I'd like to have you in my corner but as long as your safe and your in my arms at the end of the day I don't mind..." He knew that you'd be looked after in the red bull facility, the team always treated you as one of there own since Max joined! But the problem wasn't Lewis.... it was them!
"I know you don't but I don't want to..." You cried, hiding your face back in your hands, causing Lewis's heart to break "They are just not understanding that your a part of my family too... were having a little boy Lewis, in near 4 months time! I want to be near you... I need you!"
"Hey... hey... look at me..." Lewis whispered, pulling your head up to meet yours "You've got me... & despite what your family thinks I'm not going anywhere" Taking your hand in his, he laid it flat against your swollen belly "were a family (y/n)... nothings going to change that...."
"promise...?"
"I promise..."

friend, what do you do when you haven't written (fan)fiction in more years than you can say for sure, and you're bitten by a character arc for a story that keeps spiraling into more and more as you think about it? i am feeling VERY overwhelmed especially as it becomes more about that character arc than the original plot idea. i remember you saying that you thought HAW was going to be like 40k and obviously it ended up much longer - having gone through that process, what did you learn? is there any advice you'd give, especially to someone already nervous to start doing something for the first time?
hello pal! i'm sorry you're having an anxious time of it but i'm excited to hear that you're flexing your writing muscles, and i hope that i can offer some helpful reassurances here!
the short answer is: you just write it. you just do it!!! ultimately the two choices here are write it or don't write it, and not writing it is way less satifying. yes yes WAY easier said than done though, so onto the long answer. 💞
trying to write again when you haven't written in a while can definitely be nerve-wracking, so first of all, i want to say that it's totally fine to be nervous. very normal of you! obviously you want your story to live up to the idea in your head, so it can be really hard to shake the whole feeling of, oh no what if it doesn't? what if my grand foray back into writing is an EMBARRASSING FAILURE?? so i also want to say that it will not be, because there is no such thing as failing at creativity, and i forbid you from being embarassed of anything you create while learning. writing is a never-ending learning process. the best writers you have ever read are the ones who embrace learning something new every time they write. i would say this even if it hadn't been years since you last wrote, but especially since it's been years since you last wrote, but it is imperative to remember that you have to start somewhere. to quote the great sam reich, the only way to begin is by beginning.
my #1 tip for if you're working on a story and it feels like it wants to be long and you have a lot of thoughts and ideas and feelings about it is to WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN. don't make yourself try to remember it all. i use a note in my notes app for this, but you can use a physical notebook or a google doc or whatever works for you.
this isn't for writing the actual fic — you might end up with snippets of scenes in here but nothing more than a few lines. this is for literally anytime you think of something for your story, into the note it goes, as soon as possible, so you don't have to worry about remembering it. a fact you learn, a future story beat you want to hit, a line of dialogue you want to include in a future scene, a lyric that inspires you, a reminder to include a detail or reference. i also use mine to keep a list of subplots/running themes — things you don't want to fall off your own radar and wind up forgotten halfway through.
you don't need to check your note/document/whatever every time you write, but if you're an outliner you can use it to periodically update your outline, and besides that, occasionally referring back to it is great for a) sparking inspiration for where the story goes next, and b) reminding you to go back and be like, hm, how long has it been since i referenced [subplot]? maybe it's time for that to make another appearance!
i also ALSO use mine to keep a list of things i know i'm going to want to go back and edit for once i have a full draft. i don't know about you, but i am a CHRONIC edit-as-i-go-er and doing this has helped me so much with being able to take a deep breath, accept that something in the draft probably needs fixing, and know that i won't forget about it. i no longer have the HAW version of this note (because i delete things out of mine as i address them, so by the end of writing the story the note is empty 😂) but iirc it had things like — make sure it's clear that matthew is kind of a mama's boy, double-check the pacing/frequency of matthew's big intrusive thoughts, make sure we know where bowie is for scenes in leon's house.
regarding the story becoming more about the character arc than the original plot idea, try to let go of your expectations of what the story was supposed to be and instead try to approach it with a mindset of discovering what the story is going to be. this will give you a lot more freedom to let it grow and change without feeling like you're abandoning something. the reason HAW got so long is because, when i started, i had two big plot beats that i knew i wanted to get to (the first breathplay scene and the first kiss scene) and as i was writing, i kept thinking to myself, okay i need x y z and then i get to tackle that big plot beat. so i would write x y z only to discover that i still needed more development to make it feel earned. so i just wrote more development! this did mean letting go of the conception of the story's structure i had going in, when i thought it would be shorter, but it ultimately let the beats fall in the right places.
(obviously letting your story sprawl however it wants to isn't always the the best thing you can do for a piece of fiction. but in character-driven stories, in my opinion, it's vital to give the character the space they need. and if it sprawls too much, you can always edit it down later. you can learn stuff about your characters from scenes you wind up cutting or from versions of scenes that don't end up working just as much as from the scenes you nail.)
if you think it'll help with motivation, get yourself an alpha reader. enlist a friend that you trust to be what you need them to be in this role. for me, it's that i can trust when i send them the next 5–10k chunk of first draft that they will read it at their earliest convenience (not letting it sit for days), that they will be invested in following the story (i once had an alpha reader tell me that they had totally forgotten about a major story development in the week or so between one chunk and then next chunk, and it devastated me), and that they will understand that as i'm grinding out the first draft, i need enthusiasm and encouragement, and concrit ONLY if there's a major issue. concrit is the realm of my beta readers.
everyone's writing process is different, so if there's stuff here where you're like, ugh i hate that idea, feel free to ignore it! or modify it! just don't spend so much time tinkering with planning and research and playlists and outlines etc that you don't actually write. occasionally a good writing sesh CAN be 98% tinkering, but most of them should not be.
finally, let yourself enjoy the process. don't put pressure on yourself to finish it quickly so you can feed it to the internet for comments and kudos. comments and kudos are, of course, fantastic, and also it's fine to set yourself arbitrary goals/deadlines if that helps you (e.g. "writing"i'm going to write 3,000 words a week" or "i'm going to finish this section of story by the end of the month") but try not to get stressed if it's taking longer than expected to write, or it turns out you want to add more than expected to the story. it's worth it to have a story you're happy with.
sometimes writing can be really hard and frustrating, but that doesn't mean you're doing it badly. sometimes you need to talk an issue through with a friend. sometimes it takes a few tries to figure out how a scene should go. sometimes you need to let a plot problem rotate like a $2 hotdog on the gas station hotdog roller of your brain for a couple of days before the solution comes to you in a vision at the most inconvenient time possible. (jot it down in your notes app before you forget it.)
anyway. good luck and i believe in you ❤ you know where to find me if you need to complain about writing/talk through something/get a pep talk!
