As for Morton, I think his skin color will be a simple case of melanism! Nothing too crazy or magical there! <XDD As for his name and how he talks, I think its a reasonable idea that he would be named after a previous king! :0 Perhaps a previous king who had melanism as well..? 👀 Who knows XD

Though with his voice, I cant imagine him talking all "hulk" like. Since he's a part of the royal family he would have access to only the best education and speech therapy (if needed-). So the likelihood of any of the Koopalings having speech problems or talking "hulk" like would be low 😅 though that's not to say that out of all his siblings, he leans towards that type of speech the most! :00

As for Kammy and Kamek, she's not nearly as old as him. I was thinking Kamek is hundreds of years old, while Kammy is the Koopa equivalent of like... 60-70? She was brought into the koopa palace to be a nanny/maid. Her power is different from Kamek's, though I haven't figured out all the specifics yet.. I guess it can be said that when it comes to magic, they both studied and mastered different things.

Now if she ever faced Kamek in combat? He would flatten her. There is no Magikoopa alive today that can compare to Kamek's power..

What bothers me after all this drama is that those users that made the posts calling out the type of fics they were bothered with, didnt actually include like a list of those fics (probably to avoid an entire purge and hatred), and everyone in the comments of those posts just suddenly at a flip of a switch, all could only think about one. single. story...and that was the 2 part fic from the now deactivated account.

So for a fic which diverges from canon by having Aventurine NOT go through the entire rollercoaster of drama and be given a chance at a normal life, everyone and their mother jumped to bully the writer. Please, gimme a break, he could've still become the same charismatic gambler we all know and love, just he would've had an oh idk- a little support system given by the person that got him out of a much crappy life? Seriously, how many fics AREN'T out there which diverge at one point from canon?! Or, even better, ignore the canon completely and they are their own thing! HOW MANY- A LOT OF THEM ARE!

It's like they were bothered that there can be a "what if Aventurine was saved before he went through the rest of that hell?", as if his canon story is the only thing that matters and shouldn't be changed at all - THE MAN IS IN SHAMBLES. HE WANTED TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM LIFE. And I cant be the only one who doesnt believe that him, as he grow up, didn't wish for someone to come to his aid, to take him out of there, but the more time passed, the more hope he lost and he just "well, guess I'll do this on my own". He. Has. No. One. To. Talk. To. Without. Him. Hidding. Behind. The. Persona. He. Created. No one.

The IPC had failed him and his race from the very beginning when they failed to protect Sigonia IV and the Avgins from the Katicans, and yet I still see people saying that creating a fic where he was saved is disregarding his effort in surviving like pls- my girl… he wanted to DIE to be with his family again and he’s literally in the clutches of the very same company that FAILED him and his kind. His life is literally in their hands and NO ONE would ever want to be at the mercy of the very same people who failed you.

He’s tired. He thinks so lowly of himself. He thinks he has no worth. He has no self-esteem.

All of that could’ve been avoided if someone had helped him, way before his neck was branded by the slave mark, or even during the time he was enslaved.

Like you said, there are already tons of fics that diverts from the canon story of the character into something that is almost disregarding it, so why is that an issue now?

We all love him the way he is, but don’t you think it’s also insensitive to say that when he himself hated the process or events that transpired to become what he is now?

I give him credit for his hardwork and efforts for staying alive and getting past the hell, but that cost him EVERYTHING. He survived, but he thinks so lowly of himself. He still think he’s only worth 60 tanbas. He didn’t refute Ratio and Sparkle’s insult. He throws his own body on every gamble because he thinks that’s his only worth… and now a simple harmless fic that aimed to provide him a normal life free from that tragedy was frowned upon by everyone just because the reader “bought him as a slave”.

Whaat, who drew this? Cant believe it.. Anyways, did y'all know Texans (along with Californians and Washingtonians, no particular order, usually WA or TX at top tho) are Alaska's top visitors/movers? I get the other two for reasons unstated (WA a more interesting case ), but this one's just gonna be about Texans, because as an interior fella, I met Texans more than any other kind of outsider up here and I can't help but think about it every now and then so here's just my contemplation as to why it is

These are mostly my own thoughts and observations as to why Texans visit Alaska a ton btw (I find this interesting because unlike WA or Cali, Texas is much farther, so it's clearly not because of proximity reasons)

Most Texans I meet are here for the summer and fall, whether it be for the not-as-hot summer weather, getting more opportunities to hunt and fish, whatever

Alaskan culture (less so of Southcentral and southeast Alaska) is sorta known to be independent individual kinda things? Obviously the folks that just wanna be alone go to Alaska. Simple as that! And Texans I suppose appreciate the self sufficiency lifestyle from what I hear

Obviously big state to big state understanding, I think. It's just obvious to both peoples that a drive or a walk will take forever but they don't necessarily mind that

I assume it's also relating to the fact both states are big in military and the big oil stuff, similar folks that do similar jobs that come in for work

All I know is that most folks I ever been friends with were Texan, most folks my parents worked with were Texan (meeting thru blue collar works, if thats to mention), and going into town in the warmer seasons you can't not find any folk without a certain western boot or hat or pants of some kind

Maybe cuz Alaska is quite the red state, as is Texas 🤔 but I feel the need to express Alaska has the most unaffiliated voters in the nation, about 60%! I like to imagine this is why Alaska seems to be so indifferent in episodes, but I wouldn't know the real reason as to why he is

why is kep so big already!!!! illegal!!! do you know if hes already mostly done growing/ how much bigger will he get based on his parents' sizes?

i knowwwwww 😭 i cant believe he used to be so small and round and now he's already bigger than stellina! like 3 different people in the past week have commented that "he doesn't look like a puppy anymore, he's a dog now" and it makes me proud but also a bit sad lol. (though of course in a few years i'll see pics of him at this age and think 'what the fuck he's still a baby here')

he's definitely not done growing yet, but idk exactly how big he'll get! there's a few different formulas people swear by for calculating weight, and those give me a range of anywhere from like 55lbs to 85lbs. i didn't get to meet his parents but from what i've read of his critiques his dad was a fairly stocky, dense dog. kep's breeder told me that kep "has good bone" (aka was also a stocky, dense puppy) and she estimated he'd be around 70-75lb full grown. i personally suspect he'll end up more in the 60-65lb range, but i may be wrong! i need to weigh him soon but i think he's somewhere in the low 40s currently at 5.5 months.

stellina stopped growing more or less exactly at 6 months haha but she's very petite + female, so idk how different the kep growth projection will look in comparison.

i saw this ask the instant it came in and i could not believe my EYES. trust when i tell you ive been typing FURIOUSLY in the meantime okay. okay headcanons. -dave has always been a little genderweird and vriska putting makeup on him when she was bored one night unlocked his third eye and now he cant stop putting red shit all over his eyelids -vriska has also always been genderweird and you can see where im going with this. -she steals his clothes ALL the time -he pretends to hate it when she gets her disgusting $5 perfume stink all over said clothes but you know he loves that shit (and she knows it too) -flaming bisexuals -once theyve been together for a while they are THE most "i am going to have the longest silent conversation with someone across the room you have ever seen in your life" -they both think they can read each other like a book but in truth its only about 60-70% accurate -the inaccuracies are always funny as fuck though and 9 times out of 10 its some entirely off the wall MADNESS due to their upbringings they think is entirely normal. the conversations that directly follow these revelations are legendary amongst the extended crew and every single one thats happened in a public memo has been screenshotted by basically everyone they know -speaking of which. i dont think they dm for basically anything ever. they either have conversations right in the GC (sometimes in the middle of other conversations, which karkat fucking HATES, especially when they flirt with each other) or they speak in person/over the phone. no in between -they flirt with each other all the time and its disgusting but its incomprehensible to literally everyone else. vriska tells dave she found some gnarly roadkill and sends coordinates and dave is like "babe stop not in front of everybody" -she used to send pictures too but that got shut down real quick and now thats really all she dms him for -i dont think vriska likes it for the same reasons dave does but he did absolutely get her into the weird and wacky world of vulture culture. dave likes the wet specimens the most but vriskas a fan of bones and taxidermy -speaking of which. this is more vriska/troll-centric but i love the idea of vriska being able to eat bones. dave gets the same schoolboy "oh my god this is so cool" kick out of it every single time -im well aware that music is a time thing but i genuinely cannot comprehend a world wherein vriska is not a music girlie. this definitely did a lot of the heavy lifting in The Early Days because when youre emotionally constipated sometimes you gotta let a song do the talking FOR you -vriska 100% introduced dave to crunkcore and he got way more into it than she ever did. he listens to 3oh3 religiously -dave samples vriska on his tracks all the time because she CANNOT shut the fuck up. he also likes taking pictures of her but even after years together he still kinda keeps those to himself and gets flustered when she finds one -man i just really love the idea of them being fucking obsessed with each other. they rag on each other ALL the time because thats just how they feel the most comfortable being affectionate but at the end of the day they snuggle up all soft and quiet and just enjoy being with somebody who understands how hard it can be to even allow that to happen in the first place -they ARE super casually affectionate with each other though, even in group settings. i dont think theyd like grand pda like kissing or saying 'i love you' in public but personal space just doesnt really exist for them. they hang off each other and sling legs over laps all willy nilly -they also stim on each other. dave likes to play with her hair while hes talking and vriska likes to play with his hands/fingers when shes bored this post is so LONG i could keep going for days. please always ask me about davris, especially if youve got more specific questions!!!

IM SORRY IM BCAKK AGAIN BUT I JUST REMEMBERED THIS AWFUL HEADCANNON I HAD

ewew ok so I think it's safe to assume that the toy brand of pretty dolls probably gained success in the 60s or 70s given some of the little details in Lou's house and his style. The factories work all year round right and are automatic as seen in the movie, but most things required actual human workers back in the day. HERE'S THE STINGER. I read somewhere I forgot where, but back in the day workers in factories didn't work in the winter time because it was too cold. so basically if we applied this to the uglydolls world, there was a rather long period of time where there was no income of dolls in perfection for the ENTIRETY of winter. So Lou had absolutely no company whatsoever in the winter for like 40+ years give or take (I have no idea when automated factories became a thing)

ok now I'm just making things worse but I also had another headcannon where weather in the real world also applied in uglyville and perfection and like the dolls in perfection got winter uniforms and all that (ugh now I might rant about this). So yea it was snowing, no other dolls in perfection, kind of depressing given that probably by then Lou had cut off ties with Ox. YOU CANT MENTION THE BOTS IN PERFECTION BC NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE YET (lol that means Lou was COMPLETELY incharge of everything, maybe he had assistance in doll form?)

yea but this probably played a role in the downfall of Lou's mental wealth like man just lost his best man Ox so being alone for a whole month once a year was definitely not a silly goofy moment for him.

that's a big ouch for lou, but you are probably right there. lou (and also mandy) have 50s/60s- style houses (i believe so anyway) so how long would that be if we say lou's breakdown was about 2020 so (the movie is 2019 but im rounding it to 2020 for my brain)... OUCH AROUND 70 YEARS. SAVE LOU OH MY DOLL--

love your headcanons though, and i have a few of my own for that:

perhaps since the factory closes for winter, the batch made right before stay in the institute for winter? yeah yeah lou could probably send them to the big world when the factory closes, but knowing him, he'd probably keep them for the holidays at the very least. cause he craves for that company.

it would be so cute though! lou would hold a big winter party with singing and FIREWORKS and whatnot. side note, i headcanon that lou loves fireworks. i mean, he uses them all the time (during ugly truth... during his lessons... etc) and i can so see him going all out on the fireworks budget. anyway, i feel that such parties would bring temporary joy to him, as he finally feels part of a family, with every doll laughing and chatting and overall having a good time.

...and then they would leave him again. and again. and again. and again... i feel like after a while he'd give up on the festives, as temporary joy and love isn't fulfilling anymore.

with the weather, i have a really dumb theory that the institute is within a dome. think about it, uglyville has a yawn ball for a sun with messy clouds...

and in the institute, the clouds are perfect (more realistic even) and there's no sun in sight (as far as i know)

uglyville probably has all kinds of weather, whilst at the institute it is always a fair temperature. no rain, clouds are always light and airy... etc, due to the factory operating the weather system within the dome perhaps. that changes when the uglydolls infiltrate, the sky in the institute turns to a dark greeny colour. and then when the two sides join, they destroy the dome.

anyways, perhaps during the winter, when the factory is shut down, they shut down the light and airy atmosphere of the institute too, leaving a cold, snowy breeze in its wake (especially during lou's earlier years). and i doubt his home is very warm either, as it's so large with barely any furniture (at least in the foyer shown in uglier truth).

and with lou's company over the years, i feel that after his bond with ox, he became desperate for the company again (who could blame him?) and tried his hardest to keep as many dolls by his side as possible, ending up with the spy girls and mandy (and perhaps the backup singers)(i don't know about them). he would probably manipulate them in some way to staying, perhaps threatening recycling and the washing machine out of pure desperation to keep someone around. so i don't think he'd be totally alone, but i feel that the spy girls and mandy were only close to him in a business relationship-type way. they were only there if he needed something to be done. he was the leader of the institute after all, he always seemed one level above the rest of the dolls, and being personally close to him seemed like something impossible.

and yeah, the assistance bots were there, but even if artificial intelligence somehow existed during those times, or if someone higher-up was controlling the robots, they wouldn't have a genuine bond with lou anyways, as they are just assistant robots who are meant for helping out with training and the gauntlet only (or so i think).

This is a Part 2 to The Intern but it can be read as a stand-alone

After Trevor and I realized we like each other a lot more then we originally let on, we started spending time together. Seeing Trevor outside of work has been amazing. He was hiding his personality from me for so long that it feels like a gift how open he is with me.

He is so honest about his emotions. I’ve spent my entire life hiding myself so seeing him be so true to himself is beautiful. It’s even making me more vulnerable.

One of my favorite sides of him is his mischievous side. I can see it coming from a mile away. He always gets quiet and has this smirk on his face that means trouble. It’s wonderful.

He’s been wearing that signature smirk all morning. He told me yesterday that he has a surprise for me so I’m getting ready for anything. I throw on a normal comfortable outfit and meet him in the car.

His hand rests on my thigh the entire car ride and I quickly realize where we are headed. “Why are we going to the rink?” I ask.

“You’ll figure it out when we get there.” He says playfully, leaning over quickly to kiss me at the red light. I can feel his smile on my lips.

When we pull up to Honda center Trevor parks behind the building. He sees my concern and simply grabs my hand. He leads me to a back door where our favorite security guard stands. Trevor greets him and the guard lets us in with no questions asked.

“Are we allowed to be here right now?” I question.

Trevor scrunches his nose, “Not technically.” My eyes go wide and he just chuckles. We walk through the hallways and at one point he asks, “Do you trust me?”

I don’t hesitate, “Of course I do.” Part of me can’t believe that it’s true. I trust him fully and completely. Just a few months ago being in a room with him was stressful. Now I can’t imagine a world where he isn’t my safe person.

He puts in hands over my eyes. I revel in their warmth. He walks with me for a short time before he removes his hands and whispers. “Open your eyes.”

On the ice there is a picnic set up for the two of us. There’s a blanket, food, flowers, and a cute little basket tied with a bow. “It’s beautiful!” I kiss him quickly and start heading over to the blanket.

I almost trip on the way over but Trevor catches me. I let out a yelp in fear of falling on my face. He just laughs holding me to his chest. “If we get caught it’s your fault.” He chuckles kissing my neck softly.

I respond by scoffing and pushing him a little. He only tightens his grip on me. Smiling we make our way to center ice.

I’ve always loved cold weather and the chill of an ice rink is the perfect cold. I don’t think I ever told Trevor that but an indoor cold picnic is better then baking in the California sun. It’s simply perfect.

We eat sandwiches that he claims he made “all by himself” and small cakes he admits that he bought. After we are done eating we cuddle on the blanket together and talk. My favorite thing about Trevor is how he communicates with me. He’s open and honest. We can talk about anything.

Then after a while of just talking he says, “Open the basket.” I give him a weird look. “I got you a present.” He smirks and kisses me.

I cant deny I’m excited, Who doesn’t like presents? I practically rip the basket open and when I see what’s inside I gasp. As I pick it up tears start to well.

Trevor grabs my face, “what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?” He asks.

“No,” I respond. “It’s just… It’s the best gift anyone has ever given me.” I stare down at this beautiful film camera. It reminds me of the first camera I ever used. Trevor and I met because I’m on the social media team. A lot of people think that means I love digital photography and I do love it. But my first ever love was the darkroom. “How did you know?” I ask dumbstruck.

“I heard you talking with the other photographers once about how you like darkroom better. I had to look up what that meant. Now that we’re together I thought I’d surprise you.”

I’m in awe of him. He’s so incredibly sweet. I put the camera down softly and jump into his lap. Straddling him, I thank him for the gift with my lips. We kiss passionately with no care that we are in the middle of a rink we aren’t even allowed to be on. He parts from me just long enough to take a breath then his lips go to my neck.

He’s sucking, nipping, and biting every inch of skin. I can’t help but lean into him. Eventually he flips me over and leans back picking up the new camera. “What are you doing?” I ask breathlessly.

“Taking your picture,” He says smiling. I try to take the camera out of his hands but he dodges it. I hate pictures of me and he knows it. “Listen, it’s for science.” He holds it to his eye and snaps two pictures of me. My hair is messy from him pulling it and my neck is covered in blotches.

“How is it for science?” I ask finally taking the camera away from him.

“Film is marked by light then develops over time in chemicals. Your neck is marked by me and then it will develop over time because it just does.” I chuckle and he continues, “I’m documenting it.”

I take a picture of him as he hovers over me. “When did you get so interested in science?”

“When it started giving me excuse to kiss you.” I can’t help but smile. It’s the most perfect date I’ve ever been on, regardless of the fact that I’ll need to use a lot of concealer tomorrow.

“I love you,” I whisper against his lips.

He smiles, “I love you too.”

These episodes left me broken and in absolute shambles. It’s the way my sister and I were both sitting there in silence, grossly sobbing into our hands when we realized that Echo was going with Rex. I CRIED SO HARD. How can I live love laugh in these conditions?!?

What if something happens to Echo and that’s what causes Rex to kinda leave the rebellion?!? NEVERMIND I DONT WANNA THINK ABOUT IT.

Can we talk about that clone assassin for a minute?? I know Rex mentioned how he was different, had his signature/number removed, and he was obviously…interesting, compared to clones with activated chips. My guess? Shorts weather goes crazy, it’s been 50-60° up here lately and lord it’s so hot, but summer is usually 70-90°+ and I hope it stays 70

I think. Alaska’s favorite color would be blue. I have reasons.

For one, a lot of his state symbols are blue, and I’ve always associated ptarmigans with a soft light bluish greenish cuz my elementary school was fantastic and lovely and the school’s color was that and their mascot is the ptarmigan, it’s a native school

Second, he likes space… which has a lot of blue usually, I’m not really sure tho

Third, if he’s a whale expert he probably really likes sea creatures, not to mention having more coast than the whole lower 48 combined and surrounded by three seas and two oceans; plus, moose are known to actually love to swim so much so that orcas are one of their predators

I looked at a ton of native beading and kuspuks and a very very common color was blue and purple, I’m assuming it’s cuz it contrasts with the usually fur made clothing (I think Maine has gifted Alaska with really nice beads before, hopefully as a bonus they were not plastic, thatd be pretty cool)

lastly, blue isn’t really known to be an overwhelming color? I’m not too sure, but it’s usually known as a calm color, I think Alaska would appreciate that

Another Alaska hc is that Alaska used to be bad with alcohol. I read Russians introduced natives to hard liquor to gain advantages over them, in leading to generational trauma.

Alaska was probably introduced to it when he was young and he figured drinking was the only thing making his suffering by their hands a little more bearable each drop he took. And maybe throughout his lawless territory era it was still pretty bad and eventually during mushing (i imagine he took up a mushing mailing job cuz it kept him away from people the most) he got pretty injured cuz of it and he then realized then that if he continued like that he may accidentally get one of his dogs hurt and that scared him. He wasn't really bad towards anyone when he drank tho, just very shut down i imagine. But now i think he can handle drinking well, but tries to make sure of what and how much he drinks (my excuse for this is that Alaska has strict drinking laws, its illegal to even get drunk in a bar, but i think thats for the better. The roads are dangerous enough as is) as per the awa'uq massacre, awa'uq means "to become numb" and i think that would be how Alaska would describe what it was like for him during those times

right, are you guys ready for this little spergirino while my puppy is napping - i've now updated my timeline / headcanon; removing the section in which heidegger and shinra meet while heidegger is undergoing treatment in a psychiatric facility. i have changed this because i want to reflect canon more; i have changed this to heidegger instead being approached by his father's old private military company. joining them, and then leaving them soon after - more in timeline, explanation below.

gonna be using the twitter screencaps of the translation as it's easier & i follow this page and always appreciate them, so - i cant help but simp anyway;

^ the world constantly being at war is something i've always ran with personally when describing heidegger's backstory. with militias being a thing, liberation and unification of continents and towns also being a thing. i've always pretty much written as if this is canon (which, i guess it is now!)

my original idea was that heidegger's father once had a militia (or pcm) and i'm sticking with it. that pcm worked closely with shinra, usually being hired out by the company & supplied weapons by the company. they would do jobs on shinra's behalf. *such as investigating the north crater - a big thing in my heid backstory!

i love this comment right here ; because people seem to believe that shinra was 60+ forever and always an EVIL OLD CAPITLISTTTT but like, nah, bro was an engineer trying to do good who got a little carried away. personally, i'll always compare him to the old man in robocop.

i like to think that young heidegger and shinra were once much better people. initially when they knew each other, they had goals and dreams, reasons. they were kinder, better people.

my headcanon has changed in that rather than shinra pulling heid from his slump, his father's old pcm does instead. initially, heidegger takes to battle again like a duck to water but notices a lacking in enthusiasm by his coworkers. there's no bond, there's no spirit. the bond he once had with his fellow soldiers is gone, none seem to have any reason for fight asides from money.

when heidegger sees this of his squad leader, he becomes bitter and disgusted. when he meets the young, enthusiastic, ambitious and strong shinra - he feels a spark rejuvinated.

'this guy is actually fighting for something? fuck yeah!'

the two become fast friends because heidegger respects him so much, in turn - i like to think that shinra sees someone who he can rely on ( and potentially use ).

as they get older, the get greedier, and more extreme.
