I dabble so much in fanon that sometimes I forget that it's "canon" that Alaska and Hawai'i are basically long distance BFFs and it's adorable.

They won't travel for Gov's sake but I like to think they visit each other's states occasionally. Going to the Alaska State Fair inspired me to draw them in a festive mood, just hanging out at Alaska's place. Bc they deserve it and they deserve to be happy.

I feel ya, Hawai'i, my partner is 6'5. It's unfair.

So in the course of this drawing I found myself wondering, “surely Alaska has some surfing with all that coastline!” And thus, I learned about Yakutat Bay, the surfing capitol of Alaska. So I think Alaska would at least be somewhat capable of surfing, albeit not as good as Surfer Bro Cali or Miss “I literally invented this” Hawai’i.

But hey, like I said, he’s trying his darn best!

Height Headcanon: Most of the time, the states,' heights aren't actually based on their land size, but it is dependent on reputation.

I remember someone pointing out that irl Michigan is actually bigger than Ohio, but since that isn't like well-known, wttt!Ohio winds up being taller.

So, since Alaska is known for being really huge, he's really tall. Same with Texas and his "I'm the biggest state!" mentality.

I basically just made this post to say that Rhode Island really is just that short because of this, and it continues to piss him off.
