I've finished watching season 4 of For All Mankind and honestly, eating glass would be less painful right now. It's an excellent show, and there's so much to say about it. But,

Margo and Sergei. My god. My heart. I need time to come to terms with that. Thankfully there's the powers of denial, imagination, and Ao3.

I've always tried to hide behind different names when it came to my writings. Mainly because I was afraid to show the real me to the world because of the name I was born with. My family was never really supportive of my creativity, my art, my writings. They told me that it's a good hobby. But you'll never make it out as a career because you'd be dead before you will be ever noticed.

And I believed them for so very long. So I went under different names for so many years. Not wanting my family to find out who I am once anything gets finalized or published.

It wasn't until my thirties that I realized that I cannot hide who I am by a fake name. As much as I have a love hate relationship with the name I was given by my parents. It's the only way I can truly fall in love with myself and my creativity has to pursue as who I was born under.

I've hid for so long, I've made up characters of who I should be, like the way I create my characters in my stories. I tried so hard to be like them, instead of being like me. Now I'm learning to be me. I'm learning to love my writing and my creativity as me. I'm learning to take those characteristics I love in my characters and putting it into me like how I've always wanted it, without forcing it.

I'm learning to gain trust in my name that I was given, instead of hating on it for so very long.
