imagine daemon prohibiting bastard!reader from having dragon rides and balerion almost destroying dragonstone because of it
note: TURNING THIS INTO A ONESHOT BC OMG
warnings: yandere content, daemon being petty, rhae trying to mother (name), caraxes slander (I'm so sorry), a dead knight
┍━━━━━━━ ˗ˏˋ ꒰ ♡ ꒱ ˎˊ˗━━━━━━━┑
Dragonstone was particularly dreary today, or maybe she just saw it that way as she stood before her 'father' and his wife as he explained (or at least tried to) why she was barred from riding Balerion today. It made no sense to (Name). Did her father secretly hate her? Did he want her to suffer? Otherwise, why would he stop her from doing the only thing that made her happy?
It was obvious that Rhaenyra and Jacaerys did not agree with this, but she was Daemon's daughter, and what he said went.
"You are banned from dragon riding until further notice," Daemon says, looking at his little girl as she glares at the floor with her dark eyes. She's misty-eyed and refuses to look at him as she grips at the burgundy dress her stepmother had put her in early this morning. The fabric was being pulled at and wrinkled as she gripped in in her tiny hands, her knuckles paling as she urged her tears not to fall. She hated looking weak in front of him. It made her skin crawl. The only one she allowed herself to be vulnerable with was her dragon, Balerion.
She genuinely hated Daemon Targaryen with a searing passion.
"Come now, Sweetling," Rhaenyra tries to coo at the little girl as dotingly as she could, using the tone of voice she only used with her children. "I'll take you to see Syrax if you'd like." It was a kind gesture, even (Name)'s muddled mind could comprehend that, but she was too distraught to say anything back to her stepmother. Instead, she takes Jace's hand as he leads her back to her room, knowing that all she needs to do is cry and take a long nap.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
(Name) is only ushered out of her room once dusk hits, Luke taking her to Dragonstone's dining hall so she can eat with the family. She sits in between her "brothers," shielding Daemon from her view. She could hardly look at him, her lip wobbling as she sipped at the cider in her cup. Rhaena had gifted her a dragon figure made out of dragon glass, and (Name) grips it tightly in her small hand as she tries to eat.
"..."
The dining hall was usually bustling with conversation, but tonight, it was starkly quiet. Rhaenyra sat and made sure little Joff wouldn't choke on his food, Baela was sharing looks with her sister, and the boys kept sending worried glances to their mother. (Name), once tired of eating her food, just glared at the table. Daemon held his chin in his hand, ignoring the disappointment looks his other two girls were sending him.
"(Name), come with me tomorrow to ride on Caraxes, he's very -" "No." She grunts out her response, poison dripping from her voice as she glares at the table even harder.
She didn't want to fly on his stupid dragon. She wanted to fly on her amazing, graceful, gorgeous dragon. Balerion had a certain ferocity to him, of course, but he was gentle with her and treated her more kindly than most humans. It hadn't even been a full day, and she missed him dearly.
Before any arguments could flare up, a guard comes storming in, panic written all over his face.
"What's happened, Ser?" Rhaenyra questions, thinking that perhaps something had happened to her youngest children. White in the face, the knight clears his throat before answering. "It is the princesses dragon. The Black Dread is attacking Dragonstone!"
Daemon goes slack, his eyes closing in irritation.
He hated that overgrown cat.
"Daemon, take her to him. Now." Rhaenyra warns her husband, her amethyst eyes narrowing at him.
Daemon takes his daughter on Caraxes, and they fly down to the bridge of Dragonstone where Balerion was wreaking havoc. The onyx scales of Balerion shone in the evening sun as he trampled all over the place. In his jaw, the bloody remains of a knight. (Name) grimaced at the sight, because she knew that Balerion wouldn't have done this unless he was bothered enough.
He was angry, she could feel that much.
Noticing them, Balerion drops the corpse, crimson blood dripping from his black teeth as he huffs at the sight of Daemon. Daemon found the entire situation funny, which prompted (Name) to squirm on the dragon saddle. Balerion was never one for jokes, and he didn't like her father in the slightest. Balerion's ginormous frame barely fit on the bridge, and one of his clawed feet were in the water as he shook his scales as a warning to Daemon.
(Name) pops her little body off of Caraxes, running towards Balerion, not caring if her dress got all messy in the process. Noticing his small rider on the ground, Balerion lowers his large head, his nostrils flaring as he lets her stroke her hand over his snoot. Daemon looks at the black dragon with resentment in his eyes, pursing his lips in annoyance, Caraxes lets out a whistle in response to Daemon's emotions.
The Rogue Prince watches as his youngest daughter climbs up her dragons wing, settling herself on the saddle that rested on Balerion's back. The smile on her face was simply too sweet, Daemon couldn't be too angry. He eyes the bloody mess on the ground as Balerion turns back to return to his resting place with (Name) in tow.
"Ugh..."
Daemon really hated that damned dragon.

Tanneyhill was overcrowded with teenagers as music blared from every speaker in the house. The back doors were wide open as people went in and out.
Sarah and y/n held hands as they pushed their way to the backyard. Sarah led them to a small area where the could talk alone.
"So, see anyone you like?" Sarah asked y/n as they observed the people around them. "I saw your man from World History inside. What about him?"
"Eh," y/n shrugged uninterested in the boy. "He's cute, but he's unimaginable stupid."
"Okay." Sarah laughed at her. "Well, we need to find you someone. We didn't throw this for not to get laid." She smirked a little making y/n roll her eyes.
Someone cleared their throat behind them. They both turned to see Rafe with Topper and Kelce. y/n rolled her eyes and turned back around while Sarah groaned.
"Why are you here, Rafe?" Sarah asked. "I thought you three were having a sleepover." Rafe rolled his eyes.
"We came back here instead." Rafe shrugged. "Didn't know we'd be crashing a party." He said staring at y/n's back.
"So leave then." Sarah gave him a fake smile and turned back around.
"I think we'll stay actually." Rafe said slowly walking away with Topper and Kelce.
"God, he's annoying." Sarah huffed. "Sorry, he was supposed to be gone until tomorrow." She gave her a 'sorry' smile.
"Don't worry about it." y/n shook her head. "Just help me get to him." She nodded towards a boy who sat by the fire pit with a friend of theirs.
Tumblr media
Rafe leaned against the wall as he watched y/n and the boy she had just met talk on the couch. She was practically sitting on his lap as she threw back her drink. She had clearly had one too many while trying to loosen herself up. Rafe's blood started to boil as the boy's hand moved to her thigh and slowly up.
"Can you not stare at them like a creeper?" Sarah snapped at Rafe. He peeled his eyes away from the scene in front of him. "You broke up with her, remember?"
"Yeah, I remember." Rafe stated through gritted teeth.
"Then why are you stalking her?" Sarah shrugged crossing her arms.
"I'm making sure she's okay." Rafe said. "Do you even know who that guy is?"
"Our friend knows him." Sarah told him. "His name is Cooper."
"Yeah, I know." Rafe huffed. "He's Logan Foreman's younger brother."
"Am I supposed to know who that is?" Sarah furrowed her brows.
"He's an asshole who treats girls like shit." Rafe told her.
"Oh, and you've never mistreated a girl?" Sarah tilted her head at him. "Can you just admit you're jealous and leave them be?" Sarah laughed. "It's pathetic, Rafe."
"Where did they go?" Rafe stood up straight from putting all his weight against the wall.
"Jesus, Rafe! You're like a guard dog." Sarah scoffed before walking away.
Rafe ignored her comment looking around the house for y/n. He whipped his head around and caught a glimpse of y/n drunkenly stumbling down a hallway while Cooper had his hand wrapped around her wrist; dragging her to a guest bedroom. Rafe immediately started pushing people to get to the stairs.
"Rafe! Stop!" Sarah shouted. "You're so controlling!" She hurried after him, wishing everyone would move out of the way.
Rafe cursed under his breath at the, what felt like, unnecessary amount of stairs. For he once he didn't appreciate having such a big house. He pushed open every door most of them, fortunately, being empty. The only door locked was the last one at the end of the hallway. He started banging his fist on the door.
"Someone's in here!" He heard Cooper shouted from inside only adding fuel to the fire.
Rafe stepped back before throwing his body into the door. He huffed and reeled his leg back, kicking the wooden door open. He stomped inside the room seeing Cooper on top of y/n who was confused, attempting to push him off of her.
"Mother Fucker." Rafe spat charging towards Cooper. He grabbed the back of his shirt getting him off of her. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Rafe grabbed him roughly making him face him. "You think I was gonna let you get away with that?"
"She's not your girl anymore, Cameron." Cooper chuckled, but was cut off my Rafe swinging at him. His fist connecting directly to his jaw.
"I'm gonna fucking kill you." Rafe kicked his legs out from underneath him before getting on top of him and beginning to pummel his fist into his face. Cooper's blood poured out of his nose and mouth onto Rafe's fist and the floor.
"Oh my god," Sarah exclaimed seeing Rafe. Topper and Kelce ran into the room going to pull Rafe off of Cooper. "y/n!" She ran to the bed sitting next to her.
"Sarah.." y/n grabbed her hand. Her brain still fuzzy from the liquor, but being more alert now.
"It's me." Sarah nodded. "I'm so sorry. It's gonna be okay." She let y/n lean into her. She wrapped her arms around her tight. Tears welled in her eyes feeling slightly responsible for the situation. "I'm sorry."
y/n only scooted as close to Sarah as she could. The feeling of her arms around her and her hand stroking her head making her feel safe again.
"Rafe! Man, stop!" Topper and Kelce shouted using all their strength to pull Rafe off the boy before he killed him.
Cooper coughed, blooding splashing onto the floor.
The room fell almost completely silent. The only noises being heard was the boys heavy breathing, Cooper's whining, and Sarah's sniffling.
"Get everyone out." Rafe instructed Topper and Kelce. They looked at Sarah who nodded before they walked out the room. "Make sure she's okay." Rafe looked at Sarah. His stare was hard, telling Sarah he was blaming her.
"I will." Sarah nodded.
Rafe grabbed Cooper and pulled him up. The boy groaned and struggled against his grip, but Rafe was still able to drag the boy away.
"I'm so sorry, y/n." Sarah leaned her forehead against hers.
"It's not your fault." y/n whispered. "Just keeping holding me, please."
Tumblr media
y/n laid in Sarah's bed in a pair of comfy clothes she had left before. She stared at the tv not really paying attention to the show as Sarah was in her bathroom showering.
The bedroom door opened making y/n sit up. She relaxed a little upon seeing Rafe. He quietly closed the door as walked over the side of the bed.
"Hi?" y/n said softly. She moved letting her feet hang off the side.
"Are you okay?" Rafe asked sitting beside her.
"Yeah." She nodded looking at him shyly. "Thank you."
"I would never let anyone hurt you." Rafe said. "Together or not. I won't let anyone touch you."
y/n gave him a small smile before looking down at her feet.
"I wanna get back together, baby." Rafe said. He got down on his knees in front of her so her thighs were on either side of him.
"Rafe..." y/n sighed. "You're just saying that because you're worried. You don't love me." She shook her head.
"I love you more than anything else in the world, baby." Rafe grabbed her face in his hands. "I thought letting you go would protect you, but I now know the only way you'll be safest is with me."
"What?" y/n scrunched her brows.
"You can't do things like this anymore. You have to stay with me. You saw what happened tonight when I let you go on your own. What if I wasn't here?" Rafe explained. "You have to stay with me, okay?"
"Okay." y/n nodded slowly.
Rafe smiled getting up off his knees. He leaned down kissing her forehead. "Stay with Sarah tonight. I'll see you in the morning."

I have sooooo many feeling about Yoo Sangah and Kim Dokja. She started work at the same time as Dokja, and she put pepper in the coffee maker when she saw he was being treated unfairly at work and did various other things instead of using her status as HR. She finds the idea of Dokja living a Dokja life as something inspiring instead of depressing like he does and tries to apply the idea to herself. She knows his contract details and asks him about what he’s reading and offers to help him learn other languages that they could study together. She was the first one to figure out the fact it’s a novel because she knows Dokja and what he’s like and into.
Like. She tried soooo hard to be his friend and support him and she’s clever, not just like smart in a straight A sense but she figures shit out, and reaches out to people, and has a strong sense of justice, and is insecure, literally being described as a woman who hid herself for others
and they could’ve been friends. Even after Dokja lost his job she would’ve wanted to. But he’s too damn busy thinking she’s too cool to talk to him and hating himself for anything to happen. They would’ve killed it at trivia night. They could have a book club together and Dokja picks out the themes and symbolism and she adds historical context for what things mean.
and that’s the danger I think of hating yourself. If you spend too much time putting everyone who isn’t you on a pedestal you don’t actually get to know anything about them or see when they’re repeatedly trying to reach out to you. If someone asks what you’re doing it might be genuine curiosity and they would be invested and not make fun of you for it. I 100% believe that she would’ve listened to him ramble about TWAS and maybe even read it herself if he just allowed himself to open up to her.
anyway. I love her and the whole cool girl who isn’t really thing makes me insane. She’s such a good person and she’s trying so hard

Trans is fine, but you better not be a Swiftie!
For @subeddieweek Day 5 | T | 1502 | cw: hinted transphobia | transfem Steve, PDA, rockstar Eddie, jealousy, possesive Stevie, bitchy Stevie | Ao3
Tumblr media
It took the whole of Corroded Coffin to convince her to go to the concert. It may make her sound like an unsupportive girlfriend, but she hasn't been to any of their gigs in months. Eddie never complained about it, aware that metal concerts aren't for everyone, even if they do like the music. She's also hit a weird stage in her transition when she didn't feel like going to public events.
But here she was, at their first solo concert, no festival to crutch on. In the newest band t-shirt, one she saw through every stage of designing, her tits barely making a dent (Eddie had a different opinion on that topic), while two skanks next to her had her cleavages on full display in their tiny cut-up t-shirts.
They were in the VIP lounge, waiting for the band to emerge from backstage. Stevie could have been there with them, but the rush and heat behind a concert like this gave her a worse headache than the actual music. So instead, she had to sit there with two textbook examples of a groupie. And one of them looked meaner than Carol, back from high school, when she didn't get her chocolate pudding.
"You sure you're in the right place?" one of them finally speaks up.
Stevie looks pointedly at her band t-shirt.
"Is this not a Taylor Swift concert?" she asks, eyes going wide. The second girl presses her lips, holding back a laugh. The first one narrows her eyes, though.
"Don't sass me, girlie, you know what I mean," she hisses. "Wearing plain jeans and a hoodie to meet Eddie Munson? That's so disrespectful."
Stevie wouldn't call her jeans plain. They were expensive mom-cut and made her ass look good. The girl didn't need to know she treated them like a premium version of sweatpants. And the hoodie was Eddie's. He gave it to her before going on stage tonight.
She shrugs off her words.
"I don't think he'll mind."
The girl scoffs.
"Oh, he's too nice to say anything, but he'll know you're a poser. Who goes to a metal concert dressed like that? He'd never go for you."
Stevie raises her eyebrows, taken aback.
"Excuse me?"
"Excuse you," the girl barks back, nonsensically. Her friend touches her arm as if giving her a sign to back dial it down, but she either doesn't notice or chooses to ignore her. "You don't look like you're here for the music, hell, you probably can't name a single song!"
(Stevie named some of them herself.)
"So you must be here for Eddie," she concludes with a sneer.
"Well, I am here for him," Stevie deadpans truthfully. This seems to further fuel her VIP lounge companion.
"Keep dreaming. He's into real metalheads," she says haughtily, popping the collar of her battle vest. It's so cartoonish it takes everything from Stevie not to burst out laughing. "What do you even listen to? Country?"
"Taylor Swift, I already told you."
"See, Eddie hates normies like you. Swifties are so fucking mainstream, you'll just embarrass yourself. Maybe you should go," she suggests with a pointed look.
Stevie gives her a pitying smile back. Clearly, she wasn't as big of a fan as she claimed to be if she hadn't seen the photos of Eddie in official Taylor Swift merch that were trending just a couple of months ago.
"Eddie's looking for someone real, not a fake bitch like you."
She was going to play nice, but that was taking it too far. She felt her hackles rise and her face turned into a frown.
But before she could say anything, the second girl slapped her friend on the chest.
"What the fuck, dude?! You can't just say shit like that!"
"Like what?!" She slaps her back. "Do you think she actually cares about their music? She screams fake pop shit!" She throws her hand back, motioning at Stevie.
Who was too taken aback to react at this point.
"Fuck, I thought you were being transphobic." The girl lets out a nervous laugh. "Sorry."
"What?" The first girl takes a glance back at Stevie like she hasn't noticed before. It was kind of flattering, considering she wasn't that far in her transition, but she wouldn't take an idiot's oversight as a compliment. "I don't care about that! Mainstream music is a bigger sin than being transgender!"
"I'll drink to that."
The band chose this moment to appear at the steps to the lounge, Eddie raising the water bottle in his hand in a mock cheer.
"Eddie!" The two girls stand up in unison, and it takes all of Stephanie's willpower not to roll her eyes. Instead, she gives a wry smile to Jeff, who seems to be in a similar state of mind.
"We're here too, you know," he murmurs under his breath.
Gareth nudges his arm.
"Well, I'm glad they're not here for me," he whispers back.
Stevie snorts after hearing that, but the girls are none the wiser, too preoccupied with their beloved frontman.
"Hello ladies, hope you didn't wait too long," he greets them, accepting their enthusiastic hugs and letting them kiss his cheek.
Stevie keeps her face carefully neutral.
"It's okay, we know you're exhausted after the concert." The first girl smiles sweetly at him, and it's becoming increasingly difficult for Stevie not to gag at the shift in attitude. "I'd wait the whole night to meet you." She might need a bucket right now.
Eddie laughs nervously, taking a step back to put some distance between them.
"Ashley and Xena, right?" he asks.
"I'm Xena!" The girl exclaims, clearly proud of her unusual name. Stevie does roll her eyes this time.
Gareth appears in front of her, snickering, and she punches him softly in the thigh before raising the same fist to fist bump him. He offers her the tray of cookies he picked up from the table.
"Hi. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine." She shrugs and picks up one of the cookies. "Thanks."
He nods and retreats to one of the couches. There are three of them, set up in a triangle around a table with snacks and drinks. Which is very convenient, making Stevie think Chrissy has planned it out.
"You already know them, but it's rude not to introduce my friend." Eddie grins, making room for the rest of the band to properly greet the fans. "This is Jeff, Gareth, and Grizzly the Teddy-bear. He gives the best hugs," he says with a grin. Ted rolls his eyes.
"Just Ted is fine. But I do give the best hugs." He grins.
Eddie leaves them to it and finally goes to sit next to his girlfriend, throwing his arms over the back of the sofa and sinking into the cushions.
"I'm so tired," he groans.
"Too tired to greet me properly?" she asks with a raised eyebrow. She can feel the eyes of the other girls on them.
"Never." Eddie raises his head immediately. "Sorry, baby." He leans in to kiss her on the cheek, but she moves her head away.
"I said properly," she repeats, but her tone shifts into her more authoritative one. He hesitates for a millisecond, but his eyes don't even shift away to look at their surroundings. Stevie enjoys the power trip, seeing him uncaring of who's looking and where they are.
"Of course, sorry," he amends, straightening up to go in for a proper kiss.
He lets out a surprised whimper when she dominates it immediately, grasping his chin and claiming his mouth like she's been starving for it throughout the whole concert. Eddie goes limp in her grasp, but she wants to make it clear who he belongs to. She grabs his knee possessively, angling him even more towards her, and her other hand moves from his chin to his hair. His locks are damp with sweat after the concert, but she doesn't mind, because it's exactly how she likes him. Dirty, unkempt, falling apart under her hands.
She tugs at his hair, messing further the haphazard bun he's tied it into. He sighs, melting further into her, and it makes it easier to grasp his thighs and pull him into her lap. They finally part with a wet smack, and she can look into her boyfriend's glossy eyes.
"There's my good boy," she praises. "Hi."
"Hi," he croaks back with a dazed smile.
"Booo, get a room!" one of their friends speaks up.
Eddie groans and hides in the crook of her neck, too weak from the kiss to face the teasing yet. So Stevie takes over the social interaction for him, lacing her hands together at the small of his back while he collects himself. She sticks out her tongue to Gareth.
"Shut up, we'll behave now," she says, before turning to the two girls, her jaws shattered on the floor and there to stay for her to stomp on. She smiles charmingly at them. "You guys were saying?"

the hand kiss thing Peeta did in the cave?
"I reach out to touch his cheek and he catches my hand and presses it against his lips. I remember my father doing this very thing to my mother and I wonder where Peeta picked it up. Surely not from his father and the witch."
I'm fully convinced that he saw Mr. Everdeen do that to Mrs. Everdeen one day, when the entire Everdeen family was out in town.
In my head it was a Harvest Festival. Peeta (aged 9) was working a booth with his family and wasn't allowed to join for the dancing until his turn to man the booth was over.
He saw the Everdeen girls heading over to the booth, a 5 year old Prim practically running to look at the pretty cookies and cupcakes, with Katniss running behind to catch up with her freakish toddler speed. Catching up and holding onto her hand so she didn't try to grab one of the cakes from the table. Instead, Katniss picked Prim up and settled her on her hip, so Prim could enjoy looking at the cupcakes, which was all she really wanted to do.
Mr. and Mrs. Everdeen came strolling up behind them. Mr. Everdeen laughing jovially and saying "That's a pretty quick waddle there, little duck. Good thing my little hummingbird was fast enough to catch you." Mrs. Everdeen was embarrassed and apologized to the Mellarks for the bother.
Peeta's mom scoffed and walked to the back of the booth muttering about "brats and indulgent parents". Peeta's dad glanced nervously at her loud, retreating back, an embarrassed red tint creeping up his neck, before clearing his throat and telling them that Peeta would be glad to assist if they would like anything from the booth. He then turned around and went to follow his wife, a stiffness in his shoulders.
Prim pointed at the singular cupcake with a flower design. Three white petals with green leaves like arrowheads. Peeta had put it out especially hoping Katniss would see it. Now that he had graduated to frosting the cakes, he'd been working on this design for months.
Mr. Everdeen gazed down at where Prim was pointing and raised his eyebrows with a smile. He winked at Peeta. "My compliments to the baker, they know their designs. We'll take that one."
Peeta, standing a little taller at the positive words, carefully set aside the cupcake on a napkin and handed it to Katniss, who had set Prim down on the ground.
"Thank you, Poppa" she said. She gazed down at the cupcake for a moment before (slowly and deliberately) breaking the treat in half. She gave the bigger half to Prim but kept the small half, with the delicate petal design, for herself. Wrapping it in the napkin as if saving it for later. Peeta was disappointed that he wouldn't be able to see if she liked it.
Mrs. Everdeen reached down to pick Prim up and settled her on her own hip, while wiping some frosting off of her cheek. Mr. Everdeen grabbed the hand she'd used, now with a bit of frosting on the tip of a finger, and gave it a lick, making Mrs. Everdeen blush and laugh, trying to pull her hand away.
Before letting her hand go, he pulled it back up to his lips to place a soft kiss on the back of her hand. Katniss grabbed her father's other hand and the family turned and walked away to join the rest of the festivities.
Peeta watched them walk away, feeling a sense of sadness and jealousy over something he couldn't really name. But he knew that what he saw was something special. Something that should happen more in the world.
And he never forgot it.

Karen Shetty x Reader
Word Count: 1.4k
Trigger Warnings: cursing, bullying (mental & physical)- calling the reader a nothing and a slur & the football jock breaks her nose, insecure Reader
Request:
hey could you do a karen shetty x reader fic where the reader is valedictorian or like super smart and that leads people to making fun of her because they just assume karen won’t do anything about it and when one of the football players takes it too far karen shows just how protective she can be
Mean Girls requests are open.
"What's up loser?" The boy asked, having just stuck his foot out, successfully tripping (Y/n). It was something that happened often. (Y/n) assumed it was because she was much smarter than them. Their GPAs were so bad, that a football scholarship couldn't save them in college. Still, this way of thinking did not cure the pain that shot through her leg when her knees came crashing onto linoleum floors. The sound of their immature laughter filled (Y/n)'s ears, but she was determined to just ignore how cruel they were by standing up and attempting to escape their torment. "Hey, hey, hey! Don't be rude, (L/n). I asked you what's up. You need to answer me."
Another football jock's hands landed on her shoulders, causing (Y/n) to tense as she knew that they were going to keep her there. "Hasn't your parents ever taught you to never touch a girl? Or are you guys just undisciplined pigs?" (Y/n) inquired in an attempt to stand up for herself. The look on their faces caused her to realize she had just made a mistake. Everyone surrounding her now looked even angrier, and (Y/n) felt herself grow frightened.
The main jock that had tripped her rolled up his sleeves as he approached her. He always looked menacing, but her comment must've made him hate her more. "I don't see what Karen sees in you. You're nothing but a weird dyke. My mother might've told me not to hit a girl, but she never said not to hit a worthless know-it-all." And with that, his fist collided with her nose. With the sound of cracking, a look of satisfaction floods his features. "You don't deserve Karen Shetty, (L/n). Drop her, Jake." He said as his friend let go of her shoulders. (Y/n), having been in so much pain, fell to her knees as she held her nose.
As the football jocks stalked away to lunch, footsteps approached (Y/n), causing her to wince until she looked up to see Janis Imi'ike with a concerned look on her features. "Hey, it's okay. Let's get you to the nurse." She spoke comfortingly. (Y/n) didn't even notice Damian until she assisted in helping her up as Janis gathered (Y/n)'s school supplies, despite them being covered in blood. (Y/n) felt grateful for their assistance, but she also felt embarrassed and hoped they didn't witness anything that happened. But neither of them commented on anything as they instead took her to the nurse, who had to call an ambulance for a doctor to look at her nose.
"Please don't tell Karen. They're right, I don't deserve her. She deserves someone better." (Y/n) pleaded tearfully. She was embarrassed about the entire altercation. She allowed the football jocks to get in her head, but this time she couldn't shake their words. Janis and Damian eyed each other, silently agreeing that they had to tell someone. No matter how they felt about any of the Plastics, it was evident that (Y/n) and Karen were one of the school's favorite couples. They were an unlikely duo and it was so evident that they were incredibly in love with each other. "I just want to go home."
The nurse comfortingly put a hand on her shoulder as she dismissed Janis and Damian from her office. "We have to tell someone, Damian. We saw what happened, and (Y/n) deserves better. She's never treated anyone badly, despite her status with the Plastics. And she is a good friend." Janis reasoned, not necessarily wanting to approach the Plastics table. She almost wanted to find a negative about (Y/n) so she didn't have to overcome her fears of approaching Regina and the others.
"You've got this, Janis. You know this is the right thing to do." Damian encouraged, as they walked down the hall. He knew it was hard for Janis to approach them, and he wasn't going to let her do it alone. He also wasn't going to let her fear get in the way of doing what was right. Besides, Cady was at that table, and surely she would calm whatever negative nerves Janis was festering up and she would be able to gain some sense of calm. "I can't believe those dumb jocks did that to her. She didn't deserve any of that."
Janis nodded in agreement as they entered the cafeteria and made their way to the Plastics table. When they approached, Cady's eyes lit up for a moment before realizing where she was. Karen, who was evidently looking around the cafeteria for (Y/n) continued her search while Gretchen turned her attention to them in confusion. Regina, on the other hand, just flat-out ignored their presence as she scrolled through her phone, eating her cheese fries. "Karen, I just wanted to let you know that (Y/n) is in the nurse's office because some of the football jocks decided it was okay to hold her in one place and then break her nose." Janis blurted.
Everyone's attention was now on Janis, including Regina before she turned to narrow her eyes at the jocks across the room. Karen's brows furrowed worriedly before she excused herself momentarily. Automatically, Karen went to the nurse's office to see the nurse replacing a napkin to help with the nosebleed. (Y/n)'s eyes widened, making her cringe with pain as she looked at Karen. "Oh, baby," Karen whispered softly, coming close to her and examining her with care. "Do they bully you often?" Karen questioned softly making (Y/n) nod hesitantly. "Why didn't you tell me?" She inquired, her voice still calm and soft.
(Y/n) sighed softly, looking away from Karen. "I guess I was just embarrassed. I also didn't want to make my problems yours. Besides, I deserved it. They reminded me that I didn't deserve someone like you. They're right, too. You're so amazing, Karen, and you're so kind and beautiful." (Y/n) said softly, but before she could, Karen interrupted her.
"So are you, (Y/n). You do deserve happiness, and if you find that with me, then you deserve to experience that." It was moments like these where (Y/n) was reminded how smart Karen actually was. Not many people gave her enough credit. "I love you, (Y/n). What they did to you, and what they said to you, is not okay. And, I'm going to do something about it. You don't deserve to be hurt by them or anyone else. You deserve the world, and I'm going to make sure you get it."
(Y/n) smiled softly, muttering a soft 'I love you, too,' as a paramedic came in. The nurse couldn't allow Karen to go with (Y/n) because of the school rules, so Karen did what she needed to. She turned swiftly on her heels after she parted from (Y/n), promising to visit later, and marched to the cafeteria. Regina and Gretchen looked over at Karen, noting how pissed she looked, and they both smirked. They knew that those jocks were about to get absolutely ripped into. Everyone's attention was now on the tall girl as she approached their table with narrowed eyes. The one who punched (Y/n) only greeted Karen with a smirk before swiftly getting snatched by the shirt.
The boy's smirk dropped as he realized how scary Karen looked when she was mad. "I dare you to ever try that again. If you do, I will not hesitate to find you and show you how strong a girl can be. Tomorrow, you will be apologizing, and if you don't I'll make sure the rest of high school is hell for you." As she let go, she went to sit next to Gretchen, the boy standing there in fear for a good, long moment. Regina gave her a thumbs-up across the table as Gretchen patted her back softly as Cady sat there with amazed shock on her face.
Later that day, Karen visited (Y/n), who was a bit loopy on pain medication. "You are so cool. Thank you for standing up for me, babe." She slurred out, smiling a crooked smile as she leaned into Karen. "I love you, so much." She muttered happily, threatening sleep as her eyes fluttered closed.
"I love you, too, so much," Karen promised softly, kissing her temple. "And I'll always have your back."

Chapter 17: Change on the Rise
What good’s a man, who’s lost his soul? Can’t take a stand, mmm when his flame’s gone cold.  Mmm fend off the enemy, sing out the jubilee. WIth all the fire we can breathe, we’re singing all day, and you can’t tame it.  — Change on the Rise, Avi Kaplan
There were a few things you were still getting used to about the 1910s. The smell. The smoke. The actual shit on the ground. The misogyny. The cold water. The lack of knowledge of what was toxic for your body and what wasn’t.
You thought about the last one every morning as you got ready for work, trying to stay away from any unsafe words you knew, but slightly frightful of a lot of the stuff you didn’t recognize.
Typically, you tried to remain as natural as you could. And if you were honest with yourself, you only really wore make-up or did a double check on your hair when you knew you’d be seeing Tommy — it was only slightly pathetic, you tried to convince yourself when you realized what you were doing.
What was mostly pathetic was recently, when you noticed you started putting in more effort after Grace began working in the pub full time. The woman looked like a movie star from your time, and you hated how insecure it made you feel about your own appearance.
And then there was the singing.
There was a moment, the night of her first shift, when she’d begun to sing in an attempt to distract a fight breaking out. She stood on the table and began to sing something you definitely didn’t recognize, though the rest of the room obviously did. The whole pub had joined in by the time she was nearing the end of her third song (that you still didn’t know), when the first of the Peaky boys entered the pub.
You hated yourself for how envious of Grace’s ability you were in that moment. Just a month ago, you and Tommy had been in this spot, alone, you singing him a song from your own time. It’d been your thing, it felt. And now, he was captivated along with the rest of the bar with Grace’s siren voice. Soon though, everyone finally noticed his entrance and slowly lowered their voices, save for Grace who ended the verse properly despite her confusion of the sudden end. When Harry approached him to comment on how there hadn’t been any singing in the pub since before the war, Tommy met your eyes. For a moment, you thought he was going to tell them to stop — but instead, he said a soft “carry on” before moving into the snug and shutting the door.
But your insecurities with Grace were your problem, and you tried to keep it from affecting you in any significant way, especially in how you treated her. You’d worked in bars long enough to push down the green monster that came with the territory sometimes, which luckily got easier the more you spent time with her. Grace continued to be nice and polite, but she was soft spoken and sort of skittish, innocent almost – something you warned her wouldn’t mix well with the company they maintained at the Garrison. Finally though, you seemed to manage to break her reserve and loosen up during the slower periods of the day, and she was quite funny when she wanted to be.
But still, no matter how well you seemed to get along, you just couldn’t shake the weird feeling you got from her. There was something in the way she over explained herself, like she was trying to convince the room of her place in it. It was an unease you saw in yourself, but mirrored – you often felt like you under-explained, or kept quiet, in an attempt to blend in with your surroundings.
Despite your own reservations of the girl, there was one thing you knew for certain. She definitely lied about her previous experience. She was clumsy with the bottles, needed remindings on drink orders, and thought far too hard on her pours. It made training much more taxing than you’d originally anticipated.
The good news was that she was smart – smart enough to handle money and inventory, at least – which was an area you thought you’d have to overcompensate for.
Still, due to the amount of time you’d been spending training Grace, you started coming into the pub early on the mornings you didn’t have to be at the Shelby’s to catch up on the books.
You heard a loud crash and some shouting outside, causing you to jump up from your seat in the back room of the pub. You rushed to the main room to find a tall man standing in the doorway, a bowler hat on his head. He was significantly taller than you, his long jacket giving him a looming presence as he took up the majority of the entryway.
“Morning,” he greeted in a heavy Irish accent. “We haven’t had the pleasure.”
You crossed your arms, “We’re closed–”
“I’m not here for drinks.”
Behind him, through the closed doors, you heard more shouting. The man noticed your eyes drift around him, and smiled.
“Oh, don’t worry. My Specials have been told not to touch the Garrison. You’re safe,” his eyes giving you a once over, “for now.”
Specials, you thought, looking at him more closely. “You’re the Inspector from Belfast.”
His right cheek pulled up into a smirk. “You’ve heard of me?”
You gestured around the room, trying to convey an air of indifference. “I work in a pub. Your presence has been a big topic lately.” A loud crash came from outside followed by more shouting. “What are they doing out there?”
“Routine inspection,” he shrugged. “I’m here to clean up this town.”
“And that includes ransacking innocent families?” you asked, your face doing nothing to hide your disapproval.
He chuckled. “Innocent. As if you can’t see the degradation and sin that lies beyond these walls.”
Your mouth snapped shut at that. He wasn’t exactly wrong. You’d noticed a drastic change over the last couple months in the town. The high of the war's end was beginning to wane – and the streets of Small Heath were slowly eating away at itself. Veterans were scrounging for jobs, widows were desperate for stability, and children ran wild throughout the city. Brawls broke out in the middle of the streets at least once a night, crowds of men betting on outcomes. Men had women pressed against the walls, not even bothering to make into the alleyways. When you saw some girls who couldn’t even be in their teens, you felt your chest clinch even tighter, the dread and disgust building higher for this place. Every day you felt even more hardened by the harsh realities of the world and your place in it.
Despite this, you’d come to know a good majority of the families who lived on Watery Lane, and regardless of the badness out there, you knew there was good that didn’t deserve whatever was happening just outside of your establishment.
“What do you want, Inspector?” you said, your voice stronger. You gestured around you, “If you’re here to inspect, feel free. You’ll find nothing here but alcohol and cigarettes.”
“Oh, I’m sure that’s not true,” he took another step toward you, tilting his head as he rose his brow, the sly smirk still tight at his cheek. “You’ve heard of me, well, I’ve heard of you as well. Though oddly enough, no papers on ya.”
Your back straightened at that and he continued his walk closer. You tried not to let it show, but truthfully, that’d been a fear of yours after you’d come to terms with your new timeline. You didn’t have any identification or historical papers, nor did you have any bank accounts (not that you would have been able to have one of your own anyhow, since you were unmarried and essentially orphaned). You’d even masterminded a big story about there being deaths and a fire that burnt whatever record you would have had that said you were a citizen. But after a while of no one asking or no one caring, you let the story fade and your fear along with it. Now, you were wondering how much trouble exactly you would get in, and if there was a way you could acquire some new papers.
Seemingly happy with the threat settling in, the Inspector shrugged. “Lucky for you, I don’t have time to worry about runaways or travelers at the moment. What I am interested in is the company you keep. As I understand it, you’re quite close with the Shelbys, are you not?”
“My friendship with Ada is no secret–”
“And what of the brothers?
You shrugged, “What of them?”
“Are you friendly with them as well?” he rose a brow suggestively, your own furrowing at the implication. Ignoring your reaction, he continued, “If so, you should know that Arthur agreed his people would help us.”
You thought about Arthur’s face, how this man in front of you had beaten a man then asked for his cooperation. You weren’t foolish enough to believe he wouldn’t do the same to you if you were to give off any hint of what you knew. Knowing this, you kept your composure. “As I said, Inspector. I can help you with a drink or a smoke. But if you’re not here for either, then I’m afraid there’s nothing else here I can offer you.”
He hummed amused, finally stopping a hair closer than socially appropriate in what you interpreted as an act of intimidation. “We’ll see about that, won’t we? You will cooperate, one way or another.”
Throwing a coin on the bar counter, he turned and left the pub.
When the doors shut fully, you ran toward them and latched the locks. Despite the Inspector’s promise that his men wouldn’t be coming into the Garrison, you knew you needed to take whatever precautions you could to keep yourself safe. You moved to the snug and peeked through the window, seeing the streets covered with men in uniforms and people pushed and beaten against the side of the building.
After some time, when the final copper rode off, you joined the people outside and began to help tidy the streets. Harry showed up soon to help you open the pub, many of the patrons coming in gripling about the incident.
“They let em do it!” one of the men slurred. “The fuckin’ Shelbys! Copper told me ‘imself. Why do you ‘hink this is the only pub not knackered?”
You and Harry shared a confused look, not sure yourselves why the Specials had hit the other local pubs, but not the Garrison. You suspected it was a power play, intent on this very reaction from the townspeople, since this pub was the favorite amongst the brothers. The fact that the Inspector had paid you a visit was something you kept to yourself, even from Harry. You didn’t say a word about it until you arrived at the Shelbys.
“Jeremiah said he saw the Inspector walk out of the Garrison when the lane was getting turned over,” Polly had said immediately when you walked into the house after your shift. “What’d he say to ya?”
You shrugged off your jacket and took a seat at the table, recollecting your conversation. “That’s not true, right?” you asked when you got to him saying Arthur had agreed to helping.
“‘Course not,” Polly blew out some smoke from her cigarette. “But that copper wants to turn the town against us. The boys are out now paying off the landlords and cleaning up. Showing their faces, and all that. Well, except Tommy. He’s preoccupied with the bloody horse he won against the Lees this morning.”
You weren’t surprised, having been privy to his goal of starting a fight with the Lees. You’d asked him the day before if he really thought it was smart to continue with his Kimber plan now that he had the guns to deal with. Tommy had been adamant that this would only further benefit his efforts, and concluded that not taking advantage would be a waste of an opportunity. You’d given up any argument, mostly because deep down you knew he was right.
But now, after seeing the extent this Investigator would go to, you worried that Tommy may be in over his head.
“Best to stay in tonight,” Polly said, interrupting your thoughts. “Tommy has a plan to push back, get the people back on our side.”
That night, you did as Polly instructed. Close to midnight, you saw the flames through your apartment window. In the street, a bonfire was lit, with what looked like portraits being thrown in. In the middle of the crowd stood Tommy, his face illuminated by the flames as he smoked his cigarette and talked to the men around him.
After finally making out the subject of the paintings, you chuckled. “God, the balls on this guy.”
Tumblr media
That was on Sunday. On Monday, Ada had determined she was pregnant. On Tuesday, Tommy confronted her and found out it was Freddie’s, who’d disappeared during the copper raid. On Wednesday, your Monaghan Boy finally lost his first race, earning the gambling den more money than you’d ever seen. On Thursday, Polly tried to convince Ada to terminate the pregnancy.
It was now Friday night. You were walking out of the pub, leaving Grace to her first closing shift, when you ran into a rain soaked Tommy.
“Y/N,” he greeted you, though you could tell there wasn’t something right. “Going home?”
“Yeah,” you answered cautiously, turning back to the locked door. “Did you want to go in?”
“S’it empty?” You shook your head no. “Do you have whiskey at your place?”
Still confused, you nodded, “Um, yeah. I snagged a bottle last week after the raid.”
“Then no,” he confirmed, walking instead toward your flat.
You stood there for a moment, before he turned back around and asked if you were coming.
By the time he settled into one of your dining chairs, you handed him a double shot, grabbing the bottle and another glass before joining him in the second chair.
He threw back the drink, poured himself another finger, then threw that one back as well. “The Lee bastards cursed my horse.”
It was the first words uttered by either of you since you’d left the Garrison, so his choice of conversation starter was a surprise. “Wha– How do you know?”
“‘Cause I started a war, and this bullet with my name on it wasn’t enough,” he pulled out said bullet and set it on the table. As he poured another drink, you lifted it up carefully, running your thumb against the scratched letters, the meaning behind the literal token causing your chest to tighten. “She wouldn’t have been able to stand by sunrise.”
Wouldn’t have, you caught the past tense of his phrase and knew the beautiful white horse you’d met just a few days ago was not alive anymore. “Poor girl,” you said softly as you watched Tommy wipe his hand across his face.
“You know, in France…” his eyes wouldn’t meet yours, instead staring off to the side. “In France, I got used to seeing men die. Never got used to seeing the horses die. They die badly.”
He blinked, shaking his head as he reached into his jacket and pulled out the cigarette case. He ran his thumb across the silver casing for a moment, before opening and pulling out a stick.
“You knew about Freddie, didn’t ya?”
Ada had sought you out after her confrontation with Tommy in the movie theater and told you everything. You’d been both surprised and not surprised by her news, knowing that she’d been sneaking away to be with him any chance she got, and guessing that the birth control of the time was lacking. She was determined that Freddie would return for her, that the Inspector couldn’t keep him hiding away forever.
“Yes,” you answered.
“You didn’t tell me.”
“No.”
He sighed, “Why not?”
Your brow furrowed genuinely surprised. “You of all people should appreciate my aptitude for secrecy.”
“Aye. It’s the secrets you hide from me that I don’t appreciate.”
You let out a breath, feeling the hint of passive aggression in his statement. “It wasn’t my information to share, Tommy. It’s as simple as that.”
He took a long drag of his cigarette. “Fine.”
Guilt began to creep in as your eyes moved to the dresser drawer where the box Madam Desponia still lived. The leaves and vial were gone, but you kept the box as a token. You weren’t sure why you hadn’t told Tommy yet that you’d dranken the tea. Part of you wanted to keep the experience a secret for personal reasons — it was your dead mother, after all. The other part of you was still insecure about Tommy finding the whole thing crazy. You were finally beginning to gain his acceptance with his surlier world, you hadn’t wanted to push it by throwing in talking to dead people.
“I met with the Inspector today,” he finally said, breaking the silence and pulling you out of your own thoughts. “I told him I had the guns.”
Your mouth dropped in surprise. “Tommy—”
“I struck a deal. No interfering with my business, or future business with Kimber.”
Your mouth hardened into a tight line. “And you think he’ll hold up his end of the deal?”
“I warned him of what will happen if I’m taken into custody. The last thing that man wants is for these guns to land into the hands of the IRA back in Belfast, undoing all his hard work.” He took another long drag of his cigarette. “Campbell didn’t serve; reserved occupation. I anticipate he would do anything to keep his reputation among Mr. Churchill. As long as he doesn’t find out where the guns are hidden, my plan with Kimber remains.”
Happily, you didn’t know where the guns had been moved to after Curly and Charlie lifted them from the stables. And you didn’t want to know who knew either — hell, you weren’t even sure yet if his own brothers knew Tommy even had the guns in the first place. The less you knew the better, in your opinion. You anticipated that your meeting with the Inspector wouldn’t be your last, especially now that he knew Tommy definitely had the guns. You wondered if he’d approach you again, or instead have you watched.
“Just in time for Cheltenham,” he continued. “Which reminds me, you’ll need to pick out a nice dress.”
Your brow creased. “Another race?”
“Not just another race. It’s where we’ll show our strength against the Lees, convince Kimber of our partnership. Monaghan Boy’s win finally caught his attention — I’m told he’ll be paying us a visit soon.”
He poured himself another glass, then yours.
“I didn’t mean to attack you,” he said after taking a deep breath. “The weeks just been—”
“I understand,” you reassured, meaning it. You couldn’t imagine the mental hoops he must be going through trying to juggle everything he had going on.
You shared another glass of whiskey before he ran his hand across his face.
“I don’t know what to do about Ada and Freddie. She has no life with a man on the run.”
You licked your lips, resisting weighing in. Instead, you took a sip of your drink.
Tommy rolled his eyes, but his smirk remained. “That was an invitation. You should know better by now.”
Your cheek flinched at the comment, but you sobered it to match your response.
“I think she’d follow him wherever he goes,” you said plainly, shrugging your shoulders. “Your sister and Freddie seem to have real, deep feelings for each other. He may be gone for now, but I do believe he’ll be back for her.”
He let out a breath, “I think you’re right. Why’d he have to turn into such a fuckin’ menace.”
Your cheek flinched again, knowing he was referring to his communist strikes. “He deserves to know about Ada. Give him the chance to do the right thing.”
“You sound like Pol.” He took another sip of his drink. “Fine. I’ll get him a message. Maybe he’ll actually bloody listen to me and stay gone.”
Tumblr media
On Saturday, Billy Kimber and his men paid a visit to the Garrison, just as Tommy had predicted.
“You’re what?” your voice giving away more than you intended.
Tommy took a long drag of his cigarette. “It’ll be an advantage.”
“Yeah, but–”
“But what?” Tommy asked, rising his brow. “It’s a good plan. Kimber took a liking to her, I saw it on his face. I can use her to sweeten the deal.”
Apparently it’d all gone according to plan. It’d been your night off, just Harry and Grace tending to the packed pub, when Kimber’s car arrived.
He’d come to punish them for fixing races without his permission, but began to sway when Tommy proposed an alliance in exchange for help combatting the Lees. Tommy mentioned that Kimber’s accountant and advisor seemed to be the brains of the operation, and felt like he was already warming up to him. They left the pub with a promise to speak again at the races.
What Tommy hadn’t expected was Kimber’s lustful intrigue with Grace.
“Do you trust her?”
You met his eyes. Your default was to be nice, give her the benefit of the doubt. But you wouldn’t lie to Tommy. “No.”
“I looked into her–”
“You did? Why?” you asked, quicker than you wished you had. Tommy didn’t need to know of your insecurity.
“I look into all of the branches of my business associates. I had someone ask around about the pub she used to work at. No one’s heard of her. She lied.” You must have shown a knowing look on your face, because he chuckled sardonically. “But you knew that too, didn’t you?”
“I guessed, but I didn’t know for certain,” you answered honestly. “I just knew she wasn’t as experienced as she’d claimed to be. At least not with the bartending side of things. I didn’t think she was a threat, just a little green, I guess.”
He hummed, “I’d agree. And it seems the town likes her songs.”
You waited a beat, conflicted with the topic opportunity dangling in front of you. But you’d spent too much of your life not saying something or asking questions because of some arbitrary anxiety. Since you’d met Tommy, you’d adopted a certain ‘fuck it’ bravado when it came to awkward conversations.
“You know, for a second, I thought you were going to tell them all to stop singing.”
He took a puff of his cigarette. “I was.”
Your brow creased, “What changed your mind?”
“You,” he answered simply, his eyes meeting yours again. For the first time that night, his gaze began to soften. “How can I disallow what I’d specifically asked from you in that very pub?” After a moment, his brow creased. “Why don’t you ever sing?”
“I can’t sing to crowds,” you said with an embarrassed shake of your head at the mere thought. “I don’t have near the range that Grace does, or half the confidence. I love music — me singing is just my way of hearing the songs I miss.”
“Good.” You rose your brow at his response. He offered you a rise of the corner of his mouth, “I enjoy being one of few who get to hear you sing.”
You couldn’t help the blush that spread across your cheeks. God, you were so far gone.
“Well,” you deflected, “since you have Grace, I guess you won’t need me at Cheltenham as well.”
He chuckled softly, “On the contrary. I have a job for you. One week, and we’re off to the races.”

Okayyy so i just had a idea and since you are amazinggggg with tvdu fan fiction, thought I might a request😅
Basically, yn is a wolf but for some reason or another, her puppy sized wolf is out of control and so whenever she gets emotional, she slowly starts transforming, like first she will get the ears and like the shift is slow but not painful anymore since it has been happening a lot and she just gets a headache.
Elena's gang except for Tyler and bonnie dislike her and Caroline doesn't have much of an opinion. She is usually a happy person since she is homeschooled so doesn't have to deal with any bullies or anything.
Klaus finds her with teary eyes and her wolf puppy ears out as she tries to stop herself from full on crying.
Klaus takes her in and cares for her and helps her control her wolf side so that her emotions don't control them. At this point, she loves her wolf form so much that Klaus has to scold her and treat her kinda like am actual naughty puppy and he even has a hard time keeping her in human form because she has learned that she can run off in her wolf form and not have to study

Tamed and trained
Y/n’s parents had always been worried about her. She wasn’t exactly normal, being a werewolf anyways was hard enough let alone a completely out of control one. They assumed there must have been some sort of mutation in the gene system or something similar which caused her to turn at any time, like how only few vampires were rippers and few witches were siphoners.
They had been to the Bennett’s who told them that this had only happened a very rare few times since the first werewolf was created and that she would learn control as she grew.
Of course their first fear was she would be picked on, misunderstood and seen as a monster, so they kept her inside. And then they worried that her werewolf anger would be 10x worse as instead of having emotions heightened on a full moon, hers are 24/7. But it turned out she showed nearly every emotion but anger. But the tears were the worst. As soon as they started falling they knew they needed to hide her asap. The ears would sprout from her head, then the tail and claws, the nose and paws, until she were howling her sorrows for the world to hear.
And gosh did she cry when she was little, always in a puddle of pity and fear of her own shadow.
He parents had pretty much given up with trying to control her. Just locking her in the house and telling her to be quiet while they went out and tried to live like normal people, pretend they didn’t have a daughter that the council would kill to obtain.
When Bonnie grew up they tried to convince her to spell Y/n but Bonnie refused when she saw the fluffy ears a big sad eyes looking back at her.
They tried to have Tyler help her when he broke his curse but he wasn’t sure what to do either other than bond over the experience of being in wolf form.
So she continued to hide inside, only getting out when her parents had gone away, most likely to get drunk and forget their worries.
She knew she was an inconvenience for them but the harder she tried to control herself, the worse it made her feel and then she ended up turning again. She didn’t know how to fix the cycle she was trapped within.
But on that day, her parents had gotten a little too angry at her. Called her a freak and a mistake causing her to run as far as she could on her human legs, praying to god that she wouldn’t turn halfway through a step.
She huddled up to the big willow tree besides the Mystic Park and kept their until dark. Her sniffles were the only sound heard as she wiped her eyes and cheeks.
Her knees dragged to her chest and she rest her chin on top of them as she kept her cries to a minimum, hiccuping as she tried to fully stop.
It was the sound that drew Klaus Mikaelson toward the park that night. His eyes squinted as he spotted a girl in the distance, two large and fluffed ears on her head which twitched very few seconds. His curiosity was peaked and so he approached the source of such sad sounds and crouched before her. His hand slowly touched her knee making her jolt and look up at him alarmed. Immediately smacking the top of her head to make her ears go away making him frown and grab onto her hands
“It’s alright love” he mumbled as she shook her head and tried to squirm out of his hold. He sighed and resorted to picking her up which made her cry again and him to panic. “No no no” he whispered, covering her mouth with his hand and his eyes widening when a tail curled up between her legs and little claws scratched at his arms. “Oh bloody hell” he muttered before speeding her to his home and getting her on the floor just as she turned entirely.
His brows shot up seeing her so small, running around like a lunatic and barking continuously. He blinked in surprise and slowly shut the front door, locking it and walking around the smashed vase and torn painting as she chewed at his brand new sofa cushions with her tail wagging so wildly that her whole body shook.
He made a gradual approach but the second she was in reach, she had darted up the stairs making him sigh and chase her through the house for the next 20 minutes. Having a little too much fun for an almighty hybrid as he tackled a small wolf to his kitchen floor and kept her firmly to his chest until eventually she turned back.
Asleep and completely naked against him. He cautiously lifted her up and brought her to his bed, not wanting her to run off while he slept.
He slipped his boxers up her legs and henley over her head, not without peeking at her lovely little body of course, and quickly stripping to his boxers before tugging the covers over the both and watching her from the other side of the bed. He kept an eye on her for as long as he stayed awake, until the steady beating of her heart sent him to sleep.
When he woke he was entirely on top of her, her big eyes looking up at him as he lifted his head to find her squished beneath him and shoving helplessly at his chest.
He kept quiet and in response so did she, swallowing thickly as she watched him observe her. She didn’t comment as his eyes lingered on her nipples that stood out against the soft material on his top, nor the way his tongue wetted his lips when he studied her legs.
“Do you do that a lot?” He asked just above a whisper when his eyes came back to hers and she nodded with a blush of embarrassment coating her cheeks.
“I don’t mean to” she uttered and he tilted his head ever so slightly
“I wouldn’t have thought you did” he murmured and she kept silent. He thought to himself for a moment before making an unklauslike decision “I think I’ll keep you love” he told her and she opened her mouth to speak but he was already talking again “no arguing, I’ll teach you to control yourself and we’ll see what happens from there okay?”
“But my mother and- and school! I learn at home, I can’t-“
“Do you know who I am love?” He cut her off and she turned her head
“Klaus?” She questioned, having heard of him before when her parents were researching, the mention of him from Tyler and the smell of both vampire and werewolf which twisted together when she lay under him.
“That’s right little wolf, Klaus, now I’ve been alive a very long time, I can teach you much better than any mother could. And besides, your mother would’ve found you before I had if she were worried” he waved it off and she frowned
“She will be…” she whispered and he watched in amazement again as the ears formed at her head. His hand automatically reached out to feel the soft fur against his skin making her lean into him. He could feel the smirk pulling at his face as he calmed her back down
“Oh you’re right love,” he began, seeing her brighten up a little bit in curiosity, “she will puppy, so how about I’ll handle it okay? She’ll let you come here, you want me to help you don’t you?” He manipulated and she immediately fell into it, nodding and laying still under him. Klaus couldn’t help but admire how she looked beneath him, her big round eyes and wolf ears still on display. If emotion was what brought this out in her, he could only imagine how she would howl if he treated her the way he desired.
But he would wait, he needed to get her under control at least a little so that she didn’t destroy his house and hurt herself in the meantime. He didn’t believe she would be able to hurt someone else, especially not purposely but he saw how she basically ran into walls without a care and worried for her own sake.
He snapped out of his thoughts at the whine she produced, confused on his face before he realised his knee was inbetween both her legs and she had almost definitely never been touched like that. One because of her little wolf issue, and two because she clearly had a lack of time outside her home just based off how afraid she was outside and then looking in wonder at simple objects in his home. Not that it was an issue for him, the more unaware she was in general, the better. She would be easier to tame if he could train a fresh mind.
And she was just that, a breathe of fresh air.
Simple and appreciative. No matter how small a thing he did for her, she was smiling brightly with her tail wagging and ears up. Whether it be a new bookmark or a diamond bracelet.
He remembers when he told her she could decorate her own room, he had never seen someone get so excited so fast. The room looked completely out of place, the rest of the mansion was relatively dark and gloomy but her space was bright but soft, calming in a way instead of tense.
He loved how she was like that, calming. Whenever he was having an awful day, there she was in his lap, ears up and a book in her hands that he had ‘assigned’ her to read for her ‘schoolwork’. She seemed to have at least her ears out all the time, especially when he touched her, just a hand on her leg would have her tail wagging and he couldn’t find it in himself to make her stop.
But he found that if he did tell her to put them away, it was the only way she would do so.
He had found her in tears over two star crossed lovers in a book she had gotten from her personal library, a gift from him of course, and watched as she struggled to calm herself down. But the second he used a commanding tone on her to put the canine features away, they were gone and she was whimpering quite literally like a puppy being told off.
He found that he had more control over her wolf than she did. And he loved it, she was his good girl, his little puppy to play with and look after.
She kept his bed warm when he was gone and made his heart swell when he was there.
He loved seeing her so freely running around in her wolf form, finally able to control where she was going and what she was thinking as she chased the birds and and spun around to get his attention. Only issue was when she gained more control, he seemed to lose some. And she was quick to tease him, running circles around him and nipping at his ankles when he was busy, having him chase after her because she had taken his phone or worse: the white oak stake. Of course she didn’t understand the importance but to her it was a game and she wanted him to play too.
He understood her mindset of course and she was completely entertaining for him but it was a pain to have to hunt her down every time he needed her to practice her school work.
He would always remember the first time he turned to chase her down. The surprise in her eyes when she skidded to a halt and looked up at him. He must’ve been nearly 10 times bigger than her and although she should probably have been terrified, she yipped happily and darted for the tree line. He shook his head before following after the flash of grey and brown that weaves through the woods, ultimately pinning her down and bringing her home before claiming his prize for winning the game.
The prizes varied greatly, sometimes he got a kiss on the cheek from her, sometimes he would get to sink his teeth into her sweet skin, sometimes he would just lay with her, y/n on the other hand got very different prizes, on the rare occasion that she won he found himself wearing a face mask and cucumber on his eyes as she giggled and held his hand.
Whatever she did, whether she were human or a little wolf, he kept her happy and hidden from the rest of the world but this time she didn’t feel like a disappointment, she felt adored.

summary: y/n is in love with jack and he keeps her hoping for something that’s never going to come.
Tumblr media
HER RELATIONSHIP WITH JACK WAS ONE OF THE MOST CONFUSING THINGS Y/N HAD EVER KNOWN. They had been friends for months, and somewhere along the way, their friendship got a little bit flirty. And Jack was a charming boy, so Y/N fell for him faster than the wind.
She was all in for him and has been open about her feelings since the very first day. And while her cards were on the table, Jack kept his in his hands. Y/N had no idea where he stood when it came to them. One day, he was the sweetest guy in the world, treating her like she was royalty—which kept her hopes high—and the next one he would ghost her and act cold.
The questions pounded her head whenever she laid in bed with nothing else to do. Most nights she would talk herself to sleep, answering her own doubts and justifying Jack’s behaviour. Y/N was mad about him, so mad she would overlook his bipolar attitude and block the voices in her head.
You’re not the exception, you’ll never learn your lesson, they said. She would shake her head and instead replace it with wishful thoughts—like him finally confessing his love. Confessions of love that, like her voices tried to warn, were never going to come.
Y/N’s friends saw right through Jack’s actions. He loved Y/N’s devoted disposition, but he didn’t want a relationship with her. And at the same time, he didn’t want to see her with someone else, so he kept her waiting and stringing her along. They had warned Y/N and tried multiple times to make her open her eyes, but it was a lost cause—she was in a denial haze, taking the long way down.
“I’m fine, guys. The shooting extended a bit, that’s it.” Y/N said on the phone, after her friends called her when she texted Jack couldn’t make it to their hang out.
“He kept you waiting for three hours, Y/N” Willow said, venom on her voice. She was so tired of Jack and his tricks.
“Well, he wasn’t allowed to use his phone on set until a few minutes ago.” Y/N shrugged. All of her friends could notice the tense tone, she was acting like she was fine.
Truth was, Y/N was disappointed. Though she really understood the complications that came with his work, she just really missed him. They hadn’t seen each other in days, and her heart longed for him.
“That’s bullshit, and you know it.” James spoke harshly.
Y/N was about to defend Jack when the bell rang. “I gotta go, guys. I’m okay, don’t worry about me. Love you.”
The girl, still in her skirt and top, opened the door to find a bouquet of roses in front of her face. The person holding them pulled the flowers down to make his face visible. There stood Jack, with his apologetic smile and a pout. “I’m really sorry, Y/N/N.”
Y/N smiled instantly, taking the roses. “Thank you, Jack. And it’s okay, really. I understand how shootings work.”
“You are so amazing, have I ever told you that?” he gave her his most charming smile and Y/N melted. “And you look so beautiful. Is it too late to hang out?”
Blushing like a school girl with a crush, Y/N shook her head and signalled him to come in. “I only have leftovers, hope that is okay.”
“It’s perfect” he assured her.
“Thanks for the roses, I love them.” she smiled contently as she put them on a vase.
“They reminded me of you.” Jack said, putting a strand of her head behind her ear. She looked at him curiously, as if telling him to expand. “I saw them on the flower shop and they brought me back to that shade of lipstick you wear, it looks so good on you.”
This was the side of Jack that she loved and confused her at the same time. She didn’t know what to call the situation—it wasn’t an interaction between two friends, but she couldn’t call Jack hers either. Y/N didn’t have a clue about Jack’s feelings towards her, and she was too much of a coward to ask, so she tried her best to seem bulletproof, to act as if his compliments didn’t ignite a fire on her.
“Y/N?” Jack spoke up as he paused the movie they had been watching for the last hour, making her lift her head that was resting on his shoulder. “I want to ask you something.”
Flickers of hope invaded her body. Was this it? Was he finally coming around? “Okay…”
“You know the premiere for my movie is next week, right?” Jack said, and she nodded. “I was wondering if you’d like to go with me? As my date”
She bit the inside of her cheek to not scream in excitement. “Of course, I’d love to.”
He smiled widely and kissed her temple. “Perfect. Before you resume the movie I need to go to the bathroom, be right back.”
A few seconds later, a text notification was heard and Y/N, thinking it was her phone, read it from the locked screen.
i’m sorry i couldn’t meet you tonight :(
i feel really bad, but the photoshoot was longer than i expected
i’m free rn, maybe we can still meet up?
Y/N left the phone back on the table, as if it was a radioactive device. He had plans tonight? Was that why he came here? Because he didn’t have anything else to do?
“Hey, everything okay?” Jack asked, sitting back next to her.
“Yeah, just a bit tired.” she answered, body rigid as Jack grabbed his phone. She saw him scan the texts and she noticed he tried to bit back a smile.
“I have to go, anyways. Family emergency” he said, kissing her cheek. “I had fun, and your left overs were chef’s kiss.”
Y/N forced a laugh. “Me too”
When Jack left, she went to bed and the excuses unfolded all at once—maybe it was just a friend.
Then why would he lie? the voice on her head retorted
He didn’t want to make me feel bad about leaving. He had plans with her before me, after all.
Apparently everyone comes before you on his list of priorities, the voice said.
He asked me to be his date to the premiere. Me, not anyone else.
You will never learn your lesson.
Tumblr media
Y/N HAD BEEN WAITING FOR HOURS ON HER COUCH WHEN HER FRIENDS SENT HER THE PICTURES OF JACK WITH ANOTHER GIRL AT THE PREMIERE. Once the information sinked down, she stayed sitting there frozen for a couple of minutes, trying to make sense of the situation. But there was no justification that came to mind this time, it was crystal clear, so Y/N went to change her clothes, completely defeated.
Her long black dress didn’t make her feel as pretty anymore (instead, it made her feel stupid) and the make-up she had worked on for hours—which she had copied from one tutorial on Youtube because she didn’t have a clue about the subject—had been washed away by her tears.
She had been played by Jack’s sick need to give love just to take it away in an instant. But this time it hurt even more, because Y/N had finally learnt her lesson and knew it was time to go, to get away from him. Jack had always been an expert at sorry’s, at keeping the lines blurry to mess up with her mind and heart, he sweet talked her and ignored her when he didn’t need her.
He hadn’t written her or called since the night he left her house for a supposed “family emergency”, and Y/N had told herself it was because he was very busy. Now she knew better, the silence meant something, it screamed “goodbye”. He finally got the girl he wanted on his arm, Y/N had been just a girl he kept in the wings, the foolish one that he kept content with just a couple of longing glances. She hadn’t seen the signs, or she hadn’t wanted to, and that’s why now she was leaning the hard way.
Y/N spent the following days in bed, the only times she got up were to go to the bathroom and make something to eat. She didn’t answer texts or calls, she wasn’t in the mood to talk. Her heart felt heavy, as if it had been beaten repeatedly—which it had, just not literally. There hadn’t been any signs of Jack—not an i’m sorry, or an explanation, not even a hi. He had erased her from his life as if she didn’t matter, as if she never existed. And it pained her, it pained her that on his mind, she wasn’t even deserving of an apology.
On day seven of self-isolation, James barged into her house. The angry look on his face faded away once he saw her lying like a crumbled up piece of paper. “Have you been casted in The Walking Dead?” he asked humoursly.
Y/N bit back a smile. “No, I’ve been casted as someone who was attacked by a dementor.”
“Ah, the make-up department has done a great job then.” he said, sitting next to her. “This needs to stop, Y/N/N.” his tone changed to a serious one.
“I know, I’m just… I’m scared that if I go out I might bump into them, I don’t know if my heart can take that.” she confessed. “He hasn’t apologised, James. He hasn’t said a word to me…. was I that meaningless to him?”
“He’s an asshole, and I’m not letting you isolate yourself because of him anymore. We are going out, I miss my best friend. And seeing you live like a vampire is depressing, honestly when was the last time you saw the sun?”
“I have windows, drama queen” Y/N rolled her eyes.
“Go shower, you give onions a run for their money”
“Shut up, dick” she laughed, pushing him harshly making him fall to the bed.
Tumblr media
Y/N’S WORST NIGHTMARE BECAME TRUE. She had been sitting on the table alone, because James had gone to the toilet, when a familiar face approached her. Just like a dementor, Jack’s presence had sucked away the little happiness James had managed to make her feel. Jack look radiant, just like the girl he had his hand attached to, and it made Y/N want to die.
“Hey! Long time no see” Jack smiled, like nothing had happened. Like he hadn’t ruined her for the millionth time and finally managed to pull the last straw.
“Yeah” she said simply, looking away from him hoping he would get the memo.
“Do you have anything to do later? We should catch up” he said with a smile. He look so sweet and kind, it was hard to comprehend he was the same boy who had toyed with her heart. But he was, and the sweet boy facade didn’t work on her anymore.
“Sorry. Busy” she replied shortly and harshly.
“Hey, babe. Everything okay?” James slided on the seat next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He gave her a look, saying ‘follow my lead’.
“Yes, J. Bumped into an old friend” she forced a smile.
“James, nice to meet you” the boy extended his hand for Jack to shake. The brunet had his jaw clenched, glaring at James with storm in his eyes. He was raging with jealousy.
“Jack, nice to meet you too” he said, though his voice couldn’t have sounded more fake. Then he set his eyes on the girl “Can we talk?”
“I don’t think there’s anything to talk about. I’m on a date, and I think you’re too.” Y/N answered, sneaking a glance at the girl who stood uncomfortably behind the actor.
“She’s just a friend” Jack said quickly.
“I don’t care. Go away, please” her determined tone was a clear sign that there was nothing Jack could do to change her mind, so he left. Though it didn’t mean he was giving up.
A few hours later, he showed up to her house. Y/N rolled her eyes as soon as she saw him, and tried to close the door, though Jack stopped it with his foot.
“I just want to talk, please” he said.
“Fine, let’s talk. But be quick, I don’t want to see your face for too long”
“Okay, what is going on? Why don’t you want to talk to me?” the tall boy asked, closing the door behind him. She didn’t invite him to the living room, they just stayed by the entrance.
“I can’t believe you don’t even care enough to realize what you did. Or are you just playing dumb?”
“I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Really? You don’t acknowledge the fact that you stood me up? We were supposed to go to that premiere together, Jack! And you didn’t even tell me about the change of plans, I had to find out through Instagram! Do you know how much that hurt? I was so excited for that date.”
Jack set his gaze on the floor. “It was stupid, what I did. I’m so sorry. Megan asked me if she could go as my date and I- I had a crush on her for so long, I couldn’t say no.”
“Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve understood. It was going to tear me to pieces, because I really loved you Jack, but I really would’ve understood. Instead, you ghosted me. You didn’t even have the decency to check on me the following days.”
“I forgot” he muttered, unable to meet her eyes.
She scoffed “You forgot?” disbelief spurred from her lips. “Wow. Shit, I was so blind, what the hell is wrong with me? I fell for someone who never cared about me, he only pretended. I settled for your longing glances while I gave you my full attention every goddamn time”
“No, I do care. I’m so sorry. It wasn’t my intention to hurt you, Y/N/N.”
The tears blurred her vision “I know, it comes naturally for you. Because you only think about yourself.”
“Let me fix this, Y/N. I don’t want you out of my life” he tried to hold her hand, but she took a step back.
“You can’t fix this. You should’ve thought about it before you messed me up. Your words don’t mean anything now, it’s too late.”
Jack frowned “Because you’re with someone else?”
“Because I stopped being foolish. I’m not falling for your stupid charm again. So please, loose my number and don’t show up at my door anymore, I’m done with you.”
“I’m so sorry, Y/N”
The girl laughed. “I never realized, but our dynamic was always like that. You would mess up, ghost me for a few days and then apologise. And like a love-sick puppy, I would let you in again every time. I really did love you, Jack, it sucks that you couldn’t have cared less.”
“Stop saying that, it’s not true. I care” Jack said with a sigh.
“You’re here because you saw me with someone else, and you hate it when my attention isn’t sorely on you. This is about your ego, not about you caring for me.” Y/N said, Jack opened his mouth only to close it again. She was right. “Goodbye, Jack.”
When she finally managed to get Jack out of her house, she rested against the door. Her chest felt light, the weight had completely disappeared, and she realized that bumping into Jack had been the best thing that could’ve happened to her. It had been an opportunity for her to let out all of the feelings she had been bottling up for months. Now she could finally move onto something better.

Mafia!Rhea Ripley x reader
Summary: Being broke with a dead end job, you thought your life was going to stay this way. That was, until you met Rhea Ripley, the queen of the mafia.
----------
After spending most of my money on rent, I went to the one place I knew I could get a meal for cheap. The local pizza parlor sold pizza slices that were days old for a cheap price. It was always lukewarm and chewy on the best of days, but it’s better than starving.
As I enter the place, I notice a familiar sight of a woman with slick, black hair and a casual suit. Rhea Ripley, the infamous mafia queen. Usually I’d catch her glance once or twice. But for the past few weeks, she’s been staring me down. I try to avoid her, I’m already broke as is. The last thing I need is to be indebted to the mafia queen herself.
Walking up to the counter to order, my eyes widened at the price. Instead of the usual $1 per old slice, it was now $3!
“Shit.” I sigh. With only $2 to my name, there's no way I could afford to eat now. Just as I was about to walk out, an arm blocks my path. I look up to see none other than Rhea Ripley herself.
“Where do you think you’re going, sweetheart?” Rhea asks me. I feel my mouth go dry. What does she want with me? Can she see that I’m desperate and broke? Is she gonna make me loan myself out to her? “I’m starting to get impatient, princess. So I’ll ask again. Where do you think you’re going?”
“Um…I-I don’t have enough to pay for a meal.” I say, “Surely I’m not welcome here if I can’t pay.”
Rhea nods. But instead of letting me go like I hoped, she grabs my hand and pulls me to a table. One in the back that I usually saw her and her men sit at.
“Sit.” She commands. I do as she tells me. She smirks at this, “Good girl. I like the obedient ones.” She says, making my face flush. She sits down next to me, our thighs practically touching from how close she is. “Now, order anything you want. Food, drink, desserts. Anything. It’s on me.” She said.
“B-But I don’t want you to spend money on me.” I say, feeling like this was the start of me having to owe her something. But she just rolls her eyes.
“Sweetheart, I own this place. It won’t cost a single dime. Now order and eat.” She says before leaning in close to my face. “That’s an order.”
I nod. Feeling both scared, and aroused? Her commanding me makes me feel oddly good. And I want to do what she tells me to do. I want to make her happy. So I order a decent meal for myself. And she looks pleased.
The food arrives fast, and I don’t have a single doubt as to why that is. As I start eating, Rhea starts a conversation.
“So sweetheart, I see you around here quite often. Ordering the cheapest thing we have on the regular. Why is that?” She asks.
I start to explain everything to her. My job, my shitty boss, how he only pays me when he feels like it. And when he does, it’s always never enough. And how nowhere else is hiring, so I’m stuck at this crappy, dead end job.
She listens to me with interest. And I don’t know why, but I feel so comfortable telling her all of this. Once I finish my sob story, she smirks at me.
“How about I make you an offer?” She asks. I feel my skin turn pale. I knew this was going to happen. I’m going to be indebted to people I will never be able to pay back! Rhea notices my fear.
“Oh don’t look so scared, princess. I promise you’ll like this offer.” She says, leaning in closer to whisper in my ear. “How about you quit that shitty, no good job of yours…And you come with me?” She chuckles, her warm breath on my ear making me shiver.
“Like to be your servant or your maid?” I ask, unsure of what she meant. She chuckles again.
“No sweetheart. I don’t want you as a servant, or a maid, or anything like that. I just simply want you to be…mine.” She leans in closer with every word she speaks. Her lips are now barely touching. “I’ll treat you like royalty. You can have whatever you want, whenever you want. In return, I get to keep you all to myself…How does that sound?” She asks.
I’m at a loss for words. The deal sounds so nice, surely there must be a catch? But I can’t think of one right now. All I can think of is how beautiful she is, and how badly I want to kiss her.
“C-Can I…” Before I could finish, she leans in and kisses me. My hands clutch at her short, black hair. And her hands trail up and down my back, pulling me closer to her until I was sitting on her lap. Once we finally pull back for air, Rhea laughs.
“So, I take that as a yes?” She asks before trailing a few kisses down my neck. I nod ini response. “I want your voice, baby.” She says, “I want to hear you say it. Say that you belong to me.”
“I-I belong to you, Rhea.” I say, my voice wavering as she kisses down my neck some more. “I belong to you and only you. No one else.”
“Good girl~” Rhea chuckles and pulls back. “From now on, you’ll be treated so well. I’ll give you whatever you want, baby, just stay loyal to me, and I’ll treat you like the princess that you are.” She says before pulling me into another kiss.
As we continue to kiss, Rhea makes plans in her head. She wants what’s best for her baby, that’s for sure. And to start off, why not take care of that shitty boss of hers? The man owes her money anyways, having him six feet under means nothing to her. Besides, what her baby doesn’t know can't hurt her.

Draco x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Slight bullying. It’s Draco after all. ;)
Summary: Hagrid is teaching Hogwarts students about Hippogriffs, and when Harry volunteers unwillingly, Reader gets scared.
Note: No use of Y/N, story based on the movie scene but I have read the books, and requests are open just comment! Enjoy :)
*Sorry about any spelling or grammar errors
Masterlist
___
The air was slightly chilly but just the right touch to kiss your skin, your hair to brush your cheeks, and your chest to breath freely. The whole group of students were enjoying the day as a breeze went through the air and everyone felt like their worries were let go into the earth’s atmosphere.
But soon that feeling disappeared, replaced with growing fear in their stomachs as they saw the creature before them.
“Isn’t he beautiful?” Hagrid’s voice boomed, his lungs being able to hold so much air that his voice sounded like he was yelling every time he spoke. Everyone shifted, eyes staring at the creature instead of their teacher.
Ron Weasley was the one who spoke first, asking the question everyone was wondering.
“Um.. what is that exactly?”
Hagrid laughed warmly, chucking a treat at the creature as it got it skillfully in its mouth, chewing contently.
“That, right there is a Hippogriff. Meet Buckbeak.”
Hagrid smiled and looked at them like they should stare in awe hence the introduction, but instead all the students seemed to display nothing but fear.
The girl herself felt scared, anxious on that the animal was capable of doing. She leaned over to Draco, eyes still fixed on the creature before them. “Do you think he’s trying to kill us or something?”
Draco chuckled, tossing his green apple in and out of his hand. “Not at all. But if he is I hope it’s Potter.”
The girl rolled her eyes but laughed nonetheless, nudging his arm with her elbow like a mother would nudge her child to shut up.
“The first thing to notice about Hippogriffs is that they are very proud creatures. You never want to insult one cause that’s the last thing you’d ever do.” He gave them a warning scan, eyes staying on Draco for a little too long so the girl gave him a look when he got to her, forcing his eyes to leave hers.
He cleared his throat and clapped his big hands the size of trash can lids. “Now, who wants to meet him?”
Everyone took a step back except for Potter, who didn’t have a clue that they left him by himself.
“Harry, thank you.” Hagrid said, making the kid look around at everyone behind him. Harry stepped forward hesitantly, staring at Hagrid with a terrified look on his face. The teacher gave him an encouraging gesture, causing the Chosen One to take more steps.
Draco chuckled softly from next to her, turning his head slightly towards her as a sign he was talking to her. “Look at scared little Potter, trembling in his shoes.”
She couldn’t help but let out a laugh at his expression, seeing a teasing glint in his silver orbs as he watched Potter walk towards the creature. “Shut up, Malfoy.” She said teasingly. He turned towards her, eyebrows raising. He didn’t make an effort to state a comeback, not when Hagrid spoke up.
“Now bow nice and slow, and if he bows back you may touch him. If he doesn’t, well, let’s get back to that later.”
Harry bowed slowly, looking up at the creature to see its reaction.
It was at that moment that Draco lost patience, instantly taking action. “I can’t see.” He complained, eyes searching the crowd until they landed on an innocent girl, harshly shoving her out of the way and finally taking a bite of his apple at the same time, people around him naturally moving away on instinct. The girl followed suit, standing next to him since the view was much more enjoyable at the new spot.
They both could see clearly at that moment that the creature had mixed feelings on the greeting, limbs wildly moving in the air.
Hagrid’s head snapped to Harry. “Harry back off now. Nice and slow now.”
While Harry followed instructions, the girl could not bear to look away, waiting for the animal to attack the student at any moment despite her fears of seeing the aftermath. Her nerves got the best of her, hand that was by her side moving quickly to the person next to her, holding theirs. His skin was soft and smooth, despite the stressful situation. Her fingers glided through his easily, holding on tight as a form of comfort. His body then recoiled unexpectedly, flinching away from her touch but their linked fingers prevented him from fully doing so. Draco’s head snapped in her direction, eyes meeting her wide ones once she realized whose hand she grabbed.
She went to take her hand back, arm yanking towards her body but he didn’t allow her, his hand seeming to have a grip on hers. Her cheeks flushed, and she looked back at the animal to distract herself, but the skin to skin contact was making her heart pound nonetheless.
His fingers didn’t loosen one bit, in fact held a little tighter when the tension between Potter and the Hippogriff grew by the second.
Even though the creature ended up bowing to the boy, allowing him to massage its beak lovingly, their hands still stayed combined.
She liked to think it was because he thought she was still scared, but his lingering touch almost begging her to keep her hand there as well as the body heat radiating was the real reason for the contact between the two Slytherins.

Wing Man Part 4
Summary: Steve ‘the Hair’ Harrington is your best friend, and is constantly striking out. Sick of this, you two make a deal; you’ll wing man for each other. Hooking Steve up with dates is easy, but he finds himself struggling to find you a date. At least, until Dustin starts talking about his new cool friend Eddie.
a/n: This chapter is shorter than usual because my brain fried when writing it at work lol But we finally get to talk to Eddie without Steve cockblocking (too much)
Proof read? You have no proof I can read.

Parts 1 2 3
It wasn’t until Monday after school that Dustin was able to make his way back to Family Video. After the night at the arcade, he’d been caught up with sneaking chats with Suzie and spending time with his mother. Not to mention the dentist appointment that caused him to miss a good chunk of Monday morning. If anything, dating and matchmaking be damned, Dustin had earned the treat of renting a movie and shoving candy into his newly cleaned teeth.
The freshman walked in, said hi to you and walked shamelessly into the back while you called after him half-heartedly that he wasn’t supposed to go back there before turning back to your conversation with Robin.
“Jesus, Henderson you can’t just barge into the back of any job I get!” Steve said as he sat in the break room. “I’m going to have to say no to you at some point.”
“Yeah, yeah, we’ve talked about this.” Dustin said, sitting next to him in the small room, grabbing some of Steve’s chips. “Anyway, has she said anything about Saturday night?”
Steve watched in annoyance as his friend helped himself to his lunch. “No, she hasn’t said anything about what happened. When I clocked in she said she didn’t want to talk about it.”
“Probably because we might have... totally ditched her.” Dustin admitted. “On accident! It wasn’t my idea!” He added quickly as Steve gaped at him.
“What?!” Steve was surprised. “Wait, what happened?”
“Well when the two of you left, Eddie decided that we were done and we all went to get pizza instead.” Dustin said. “I saw her when we were leaving.”
“Shit. So he saw her leave with me, which probably didn’t help.” Steve groaned. “Did Eddie say anything about her?”
“Yeah he... said he wasn’t interested.”
“Really? Shit. I knew he was a freak, but I didn’t think he had bad taste.”
“Why aren’t you dating her?” Dustin asked. “You won’t date Robin and now you won’t date her? Are you allergic to dating cool girls or something?”
“Robin and I are just friends.” Steve said firmly. “And who said I didn’t try to date her? I tried to ask her out once but she turned me down. She said I was ‘too normal’.”
There were tears streaming down Dustin’s face two minutes later from how hard he was laughing at that. Steve Harrington could get any girl in town, and got shot down by the wierdo.
“Yeah, yeah, get it out of your system, Henderson.” Steve groaned.
“She’s too good for you, Steve.” Dustin finally managed to say, calming himself down.
“So Eddie was a bust so I guess I’m back to square one.” Steve sighed. “I guess I could take her out to a bar and help her get numbers. If she can keep herself from saying something too weird for at least ten minutes it’d be easy.”
But it didn’t feel right. You already knew what you wanted, and any bar in town would just be filled with the same normal, boring people that you’d never had an interest in.
“You know... Eddie’s band plays at the Hideout.” Dustin said suddenly.
“Yeah, I thought we just established that wasn’t an option.” Steve frowned.
“Okay but hear me out, she liked Eddie, right?”
“Yeah, so?”
“So? So if she liked Eddie then she’d probably like someone who also likes Eddie. He told me that people come to watch his band play specifically.” Dustin was grinning wide.
“Henderson, you might be onto something.” Steve was starting to follow his friend’s logic. “If his fans like him, then she’d probably like his fans.”
“Precisely, Steve!”
The two of them grinned at each other as if they’d just cracked the code to helping you out. However, Steve was only aware of half the plan. That night at the arcade hadn’t been sitting right with Dustin since Eddie tore out of there like a bat out of hell with the rest of the club in tow. He’d seen the way Eddie had stolen glances at you when he thought no one was looking, and only Eddie could miss the way you had been staring at him as the two of you talked.
Dustin wasn’t sure what the hell Eddie’s problem was saying he wasn’t interested, but if Steve was giving him a chance to be nosy and meddle he was going to take it. You had been nice to Dustin this summer, and after starting the new hell that was high school he wanted to help you out. Eddie had been the only person who had been nice to him and Mike in school, and you had been nice out of it.
If this didn’t work he’d leave Steve to his own problem, but Dustin had this one last trick up his sleeve.
“So Eddie’s never talked about having an interest in anyone before?” Steve asked as he tossed his trash and handed over the remaining chips to Dustin.
“Not really. Jeff mentioned that he used to have a thing for some girl named Ronnie, and they all act really cagey about someone else named Paige.” Dustin said with a shrug.
“I have no idea who those people are.”
“I don’t either, they don’t talk about it much.”
“Alright, well I guess we’re gonna go to the Hideout.” Steve decided. “Wait, isn’t his band him and a bunch of high schoolers? How are they even allowed to play in a bar?”
“It’s a bar, not a club, Steve. They can be there, they just can’t drink. Legally.” Dustin decided not to share that Eddie had one or two fake IDs that the barkeeps were happy to overlook for Eddie at least.
“What do you know about clubs?” Steve was surprised. “The only club you should know about is your weird fantasy club.”
“I watch MTV, I know how some things work!”
The banter between the two continued until you showed up in the break room.
“Steve, your break ended fifteen minutes ago. If you get your butt to the front I’ll fudge the time sheet and say you just forgot to clock back in.” you said. “And Dustin, honey, I love you. You aren’t supposed to be back here. Actually, I don’t care because you’re a good kid. Just ask before you barge in, okay? If Keith’s here I’ll actually have to enforce that.”
“Yes, Ma’am!” Dustin gave you a salute as the two of them made their way back to the front. When Steve took his place behind the counter, Dustin took a piece of paper out of his bag and handed it over.
“What’s this?” Steve took the paper, looking at the list of movie titles.
“My payment. I want these movies for my services. We had an agreement.”
“Jesus, Henderson you’re gonna give yourself nightmares with these.”
“Nothing’s been scarier than what we’ve been through.”
“Fair enough.”
You looked to be as thrilled to be at the Hideout on a Tuesday night as you would be at the DMV. You didn’t have anything against the place, but you didn’t have anything for it either. You’d been to bars a few times with friends with varying degrees of enjoyment. Hell, this wasn’t even the first time you’d been to this bar. Hawkin’s didn’t exactly have the biggest variety of places to drink in town, and this place was the town’s “old reliable”. Cheap enough for the blue collar workers to enjoy a cold beer after work, but with enough variety to have the young adults of the town fill up the booths on the weekends.
Tumblr media
It was not the weekend though, it was a Tuesday night. A weird night for Steve to drag you out to a bar to help you get a date. As you swung your body on the barstool waiting on your drink you glanced around. There was a small, cramped stage set up in the back and a few older men were hanging around.
“So... Steve not to be terribly picky and not to sound ungrateful, but I’m not so sure about this.” You said, scanning the bar for anyone who didn’t look old enough to be your dad or grandpa.
“There’s a band that’s supposed to play tonight.” Steve said, pointing over to the stage. “I heard they’re about our age so I thought it’d be worth a shot.”
“A band?” You considered it. “What type of music are they supposed to play?”
“I think it’s a metal band.”
You snorted into your soda. “A metal band? In Hawkins? Oh, this I have to see.” You hopped off the stool to make your way over to the cork board that was covered in advertisements for the town. You scanned it until you found a flier that had been covered partially by an advertisement for lawn care.
CORRODED COFFIN- TUESDAY NIGHTS
That must have been it. It didn’t give you any information about the band, other than the name and when they played. The logo was hastily drawn on in black and red markers as if putting this up was a last minute idea. You pulled the paper off the board and repositioned it so that it was front and center instead. There, that was your good deed for the day; giving a small band an additional 8.5 by 11 inches of visibility.
“As usual, I have learned nothing.” You declared, taking your seat again. “I have a name and that’s it.”
“What’s the band called?” Steve asked.
“Corroded Coffin.” you replied. “Shouldn’t you know? This was your idea!”
“I was just told there was a metal band that played, I wasn’t given a name.” Steve had been given the name and immediately forgot in the near endless ramblings that Dustin had gone on about.
“You’re gonna think I’m crazy-”
“I already do.”
You laughed and continued. “You’re gonna think I’m crazy but the name sounds familiar.” Your legs were swinging off the stool, leaning back against the bar with your elbows. “How can you forget a name like that?”
Easily. Thought Steve.
A few more people were starting to show up now, though it was still pretty dead and slow. Even as people shuffled in and out of the small bar, there was no sign of anyone who you’d deem “age appropriate” for you.
“So you tried to set me up with a high schooler and now it looks like you’re trying to hook me up with someone twice my age.” You joked.
“Yeah, I was hoping there’d be more people here to choose from.” Steve looked around the room. Dustin had said that this band was supposed to have a crowd but he wasn’t seeing evidence of that anywhere.
“Ah well, even if tonight is another bust we can still have fun.” you gave him a playful punch. “If the band is bad we can bond over that, and if they’re good you probably won’t appreciate it and I’ll subject you to my every thought about it.”
“You do that anyway.” Steve breathed out a small laugh.
“I’ll be worse, cross my heart.”
It wasn’t long until the doors to the Hideout opened again, with two highschoolers struggling to fit a drum set through the doors. You snickered as they twisted the parts trying to adjust the bulky equipment. That’s right, the circular drum goes through the square hole.
“Steve, high schoolers.” you whispered. “Again?!”
But then you realized that the two teenagers looked familiar. Familiar in a fresh way. Familiar in a ‘Hey, didn’t I just see you the other day?’ way. Your stomach twisted as they finally managed to get through the door and make their way to the stage for set up.
“Hey, Steve, these kids look- shit.”
Your heart leapt in a way you didn’t expect when the man you’d poorly attempted to get to know just a few days ago walked through the door with a guitar case strapped to his back. He was laughing with another member of the band as they carried in an amp. Eddie didn’t even look your way as they made their way to set up on stage.
He played guitar. Of course he played guitar in a metal band. Jesus Christ, you were actually going to murder Steve and Dustin if this whole situation wasn’t going to kill you first. Eddie dropped his leather jacket on the side of the stage, leaving him in a band shirt that you couldn’t make out the name of in the dim lights. He had really nice arms (how had you missed the tattoos last week??), and the way he was smiling so genuinely and joking around with his friends made you feel fuzzy on the inside. He hadn’t looked like that when you two were talking-
“You’re drooling again.” Steve said.
You shook your head and quickly turned around, putting your back to the stage.
“Steve... what the fuck.” You hissed, glaring at him. “I know I didn’t exactly share what happened on Saturday, but I thought it was pretty clear that it didn’t go well.”
“Listen, I had no- I” Steve couldn’t lie to you. “Henderson said he’d be playing tonight, but I swear I’m not trying to hook you two up again. I really thought that when he said there’d be a crowd there’d be more freaks here!”
You smacked your head on the bar a few times with a groan. “It was so awkward. I told him I’d be right back but then when I went back in everyone was gone. He wasn’t interested in me.”
“His loss.” Steve said. “Listen, we’ll stick around for a few songs and if no one else shows up then we can leave, deal?”
“Deal.”
You tried to ignore the pounding in your heart as you pointedly refused to turn around. You didn’t even know why you cared so much that Eddie was there again. You had only talked for a half hour before he left, but the man had stuck in your mind since that night.
You had been attracted to guys before, but Eddie was on some other level.
“So, are you stalking me now, Harrington?”
FUCK.
“Nah man, just in the mood to do something different tonight.” Steve said, trying his hardest to play nice. He had to remember that this was for you, even though he was starting to like Eddie less after his disinterest in you.
“I didn’t take you as a man with music taste.” Eddie said. You hated that this man seemed to always sneak up on you. You finished off your drink and turned around to join the conversation before Steve made things worse.
Fuck it. It’s not like this could be any more awkward than how things were left off. You might as well have some fun.
“Actually this was my idea.” You said, lying through your teeth with a grin. “Steve here knows nothing about good music, so I thought I’d show him a little culture.”
Steve was now looking at you with his jaw dropped, wondering where the hell that came from. He looked offended, and Eddie? Eddie’s eyebrows shot up as recognition crossed his features as he looked at you.
“So you like metal?” Eddie said, his gaze now locked on yours. You felt an odd pounding in your heart as you looked up into those amazingly round brown eyes. “What’s your favorite band?”
It wasn’t a challenge. There was nothing in his tone to indicate that he was about to turn into a total dick about music, and that both put you at ease and made your attraction to him far worse.
“Well, Black Sabbath is always good.” you thought. “But I’m gonna have to go with WASP. I’d rate them a 69 out of 10 for being so damn horny in their songs.”
Eddie’s eyes lit up and he smiled wide, the same kind of smile he’d just given his band mates a few minutes ago. You licked your lips and felt Steve kick your foot, probably signaling you to stop drooling.
“So someone in this town does have good taste!“ Eddie was moving around more now, taking a few paces back and then back towards you clapping his hands.
“I don’t like to limit myself.” You said. “I’m always looking for new sounds and music. It’s like I feel like I’m suffocating if it gets too quiet.”
You winced internally at the statement, knowing that it was probably off putting but to your surprise Eddie only got more excited.
“Exactly!” He practically yelled.
How was it so easy to talk to him, and so hard at the same time? Why was it that every conversation so far had ended so awkwardly when moments like this felt easy?
“So how long have you been playing?” you asked, looking over at the stage where he’d set his case down.
“The band’s been playing together since we were in middle school, I started playing guitar around fifth grade. We’ve had a rotating cast of members, so I started it, and Jeff’s been there the longest after me.” he pointed to a member fiddling with his bass. “Zack and Gareth joined in high school.”
“And was Chris Morrison ever part of this band?” you teased.
“Fuck no!.” Eddie laughed. “My uncle would say that Chris couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on. He tried to play manager. Tried. After seeing how he ran his campaigns, I wasn’t interested.”
“Didn’t he also run for student council once?”
“You remember those posters?!” there was a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Oh, he never ran. The rest of us were so done with how he was running Hellfire we put those up detailing why he was shit at leadership.”
“You’re kidding!” you gaped. “Jesus, you guys are weird.”
Eddie bent down in a joking bow. “I got a week’s detention for that stunt. I wasn’t the one who made most of them, but Higgin’s always had it out for me. Still does.” He mumbled that last part mostly to himself.
“Why do you two keep talking about Chris Morrison?” Steve asked, and you suddenly remembered that he was there too. Whoops.
“Common thread, apparently.” you shrugged. “It’s too easy to rag on the guy.”
“You had to be there.” Eddie said, as if you and Eddie were sharing connected memories that you were both part of rather than piecing together fragments of a puzzle where you were both corner pieces. The same picture, but never touching.
At least, as far as you were aware.
Steve was looking at you as if you were both insane. He was probably right.
“Okay, okay Steve’s right. I don’t want to talk about Chris fucking Morrison anymore.” you said. “How long have you been playing here, at the Hideout?”
“Every Tuesday for about 2 years, give or take.” Eddie said. “We started monthly, but we get a crowd now so they asked us to play weekly.”
“A crowd.” You nodded, looking around the dead bar. “Damn, I must be pretty lucky to have the front man talking to me when you have all these people here to see you.” Behind the joke, the tone you used was sincere and playful all at once. You sat up a little straighter, leaning towards him on your barstool.
That was a flirt. You just flirted. There was no taking that back. You were gonna have to commit now.
There was something boyish about the smile he returned, calm and relaxed. “Oh yeah, you should feel special. As you can see we have a crowd of about-” he turned to the rest of the bar, counting the patrons. “-Right, about four drunks. I guess Tim’s out today.”
“Well, make that four and a half drunks and also Steve is here.” you shook Steve’s shoulder playfully.
“Half?” Steve looked at you, pushing your hand off.
“I drove here, I can’t get wasted. But I can have one or two drinks and be fine.”
“Well, if you happen to bite off more than you can chew, I have room in my van for you.” Eddie said. “I could give you a ride.”
Well, that wasn’t what you had expected. Your stomach was flipping like an acrobat at the suggestion. He was offering you a ride home if you wanted to drink? After he’d disappeared on you? Just what was this guy's deal?
“If I’m biting my drinks that’s cause for concern. I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to bite a drink.” Smooth, so fucking smooth. You might as well call yourself Skippy because you were as smooth as chunky peanut butter.
But Eddie just laughed and shook his head. “Yeah, you’re right. But the offer’s on the table. Or the bar, since you want to be literal.”
“I’ll think about it.” you said. “I don’t normally go home with men I just met at bars but if your band is any good I’ll consider it.”
His grin widened at that “Then I’ll be sure to tell the guys to pick up the slack tonight.”
That was a flirt, right? Eddie just flirted back with you. That had to be right? You almost wanted him to go away so that you could confirm with Steve that your suspicions about that line were correct.
“Eddie! Get over here and help with the amp, it’s doing the thing again!” One of the teens from the stage called out.
Eddie sighed and looked over at his band that was messing with the amp they had brought in. “Again? Alright, I have some tape in my toolbox.” he called back to them before turning to you. HIs eyes flicked over to Steve for just a split second before meeting your eyes again. “Talk to you after the set?”
“Yeah, I’d like that.” you said, “After all you might be my ride home.”
And with that, Eddie turned and left.
“What was that?” Steve said immediately looking at you. “Where did that come from? Your idea? Going home with him?!”
“What?” you asked, taken aback. “You told me I should actually flirt, so I flirted!”
“Where was all that on Saturday?! Hell, where was that for the past two months we’ve had this deal going?” Your friend was looking at you like he hardly recognized you.
“Great question Steve, and it deserves a great answer.” you nodded. “I have no fucking clue. Maybe I’m exclusively attracted to guys that I don’t think I have a chance with?”
“He offered to drive you home.” His eyes darted over to the stage where Eddie had reappeared with a toolbox, messing with the amp. “I don’t know how you missed it but he was flirting with you.”
“Oh, good, I thought I was losing it.” you laughed. “Glad we got that established. Cool. Loving that. Now, on one hand he’s offering me a ride home. On the other hand, to get this supposed ride home I will have to intoxicate myself. Which sounds fun in theory but he’s also a guy I barely know.”
It should have been sketchy, it really really should have been. The only man you would trust to get your drunk ass home without worry right now would be Steve.
“Hey, can I get another one of these, please?” you asked the bartender, holding up your glass.
Once your refill came, you grabbed the drink and stood up. The band was finishing up the sound check and it looked like they were about to start.
“Come on, I want to sit closer. I’m feeling reckless tonight.” You grabbed Steve’s arm and dragged him to a table closer to the stage. Eddie made his way to the mic and smiled at you and your raised your glass to him with a smile.
“Thanks for coming out tonight, we’re Corroded Coffin and we’re here to make you feel like you’re fighting demons in hell!”
It was in that horrible, terrifying moment when the lights dimmed and the sound of an electric guitar ripped through the air,  that you realized something; you were going to end the night with the biggest, stupidest, useless crush on Eddie Munson and there was nothing you could do about it.
Tumblr media
I would also like to note that this is a work of fiction. You're allowed to make questionable decisions when playing with fake scenarios. Just roll with it.

Pondering Fate While Ignoring The Obvious
A Ten Inch Hero Story
~Priestly has got it so bad for Tish that he can barely see past the end of her... well, her back end, anyway. He's love sick and forever rejected, constantly stuck inside his own head. When a new girl in town starts messing with him, he quickly loses his cool...~
Boaz Priestly x F!Reader
2,511 Words
Warnings: Nuttin' but fluff and banter. ;)
A/N: This is another square for my @jacklesversebingo card. The prompt is "Backhanded Compliment/Convenience Store/Sugar Addict"
Now listen- I've never written for this movie before, but I had so much fun doing it. If you've seen the movie, I think you'll love this. If you haven't seen it, you may not totally get it, but you'll still love it because it's cute and fluffy and I said so. Give it a chance ;)
Tumblr media
Another day, another spicy Italian with no oil and no vinegar. How you could eat a hero dry was a question he could never quite grasp the answer to, but in the end, did another weird order really matter? He’d put a condom on the bun if they asked for it. Maybe not a used one, but then again, Tish was looking extra spicy herself today.
Tish. Goddamnit. There she goes flirting with every male in existence except him. There she is leaning over the counter in that not-so-sneaky way that pushes her tits up and out, giving everyone and their mother a look into the valley of the Promised Land.
For fuck’s sake, if she’d only do that for him.
Then again, nothin’ he hadn’t seen before.
Fingers snapped in front of his face and Priestly blinked himself back into reality.
“Can I help you?” he asked, still half dazed and half hard after staring so intently at his coworker.
Piper sighed. “Yeah. You gotta make a run down the street.”
He sighed harder. “You know, you ladies are capable of patronizing the convenience store now and then. It’s not really hard. You just pick out what you need and exchange it for cash.”
The tiny blonde pouted and batted her lashes. “Please? My feet hurt from standing all day.”
He scoffed. “And mine don't?”
“I’m not used to it. I’m delicate.”
Priestly scratched at the bright green spikes that sat atop his head for the day, masquerading as a hairstyle. He frowned but relented. “Fine. Gimme the list.”
Tumblr media
He saw her from the street. He wasn’t purposely peeping through the window like a stalker, but he felt like it all the same. It wasn’t his fault, not really. Things mostly stayed the same around town, so when something was different, when someone new showed up, it tended to stick out a bit.
The new girl at the register was cute, not particularly daring in her style or makeup palette, but she was attractive. Probably the thing Priestly noticed first was the lollipop stick hanging from her painted lips.
His entrance was announced by the jangling of bells and she looked up as he came in. She smiled around the pop and twirled the white paper stick between her fingers.
“Welcome.”
He looked back at her over his shoulder and nodded. “Hey.”
Slowly, she pulled the treat from her mouth and licked the very tip. Her tongue was as red as the pop and Priestley was sure that his cheeks were turning the same shade. He cleared his throat quickly and turned back, going about his business.
The store was otherwise empty except for Mr. Jacobson, the old man who never seemed to go anywhere but was always wherever you went. He was currently lingering at the end of the aisle, amazed at the sheer amount of chip flavors the new millennium had to offer.
“Back in my day we had regular and salt & vinegar, and we were grateful!”
Priestly laughed under his breath and looked over the rack at the register. She was laughing softly as well, and when their eyes met, she didn’t shy away.
He did; quickly tearing his gaze from the cherry pop and focusing on the aluminum foil instead. There was no use flirting with her anyway- she’d never go for him. She looked too normal, too pretty to fall for his shenanigans. Best not to even think about it.
Arms fully stocked, he headed her way, keeping his eyes on the black and gray tiled floor and praying she wouldn’t make his heart race any faster.
She sucked hard on the Blow Pop and then took a bite, making him jump. Sugar crackled between her teeth and she winked.
“I hope you overcharge them,” she said dryly, staring him down.
Confusion took the place of shyness and Priestly’s face scrunched up. “What?” he snapped, jerking away from the counter.
The girl rolled her eyes and went about ringing up his order without another word.
Cash exchanged, Priestly thanked her and walked out, still wondering what the hell she was talking about.
Tumblr media
Monday.
Priestly stared out the front window, wondering if the day was going to go his way or not. He knew he shouldn’t bother pondering the Fates, because they always seemed against him, but he liked to think he had some hope tucked away somewhere beneath the Manic Panic hair dye and all the metal sticking out of his head. If there was, he couldn’t find any today.
Tish was late, as usual, probably rolling out of some strange guy’s arms and fishing for her bra underneath the bed.
Someday… someday, that’d be his bed she was searching under. Someday, those would be his arms she rolled out of. He just had to keep hoping.
Or not. He really didn’t care.
The sun was too bright, the grill was too hot. He hated everything.
Except the sound of bubblegum popping behind him. He didn’t seem to hate that.
With spatula in hand, he turned and startled just enough to make the bubblegum appear between coyly smiling pink lips.
“Hey.”
Priestley squinted. “You’re that chick from the store.”
Annoyance crept onto her face. “And you’re that dude with too much eyeliner.”
He laughed before realizing she was insulting him and ended up jolting up on his toes awkwardly, half a smile curled on his lip.
He cleared his throat. “Priestly.”
She squinted. “Like Elvis?”
He shrugged. “And you are?”
“Hungry.”
Slapping a five on the counter, she picked up her hero and spun away, heading toward the door. She turned to push it open with her backside and popped her gum again.
Her eyes were glued to him and Priestly felt his stomach flip. He met her gaze and she smiled.
“I always do.”
He wanted to say something, to ask her what the hell she was talking about, but she was gone before the words reached his tongue.
“Always do what?”
Jen turned her head his way, but her eyes were still locked on the computer screen. “What’s up?”
He sighed. “Nothing. Just a weird girl from…nothing.”
It was nothing. She was just the weird girl from down the street. And anyway, he was supposed to be hating everything today, not shifting his ponderance to the mystery of the gum chewing, pop crunching girl from the convenience store.
“Nothing.”
Tumblr media
Blue hair; don’t care.
Priestly cracked an egg on the grill and watched the edges sizzle. He wasn’t great at a lot of things, but cooking eggs was something he did exceptionally well. The butter bubbled around the perimeter, curling the whites just slightly, and he pushed the tip of his spatula against it.
Not ready yet.
The girls were, yet again, chatting about men, and he kept one ear on the sizzle and the other in their conversation.
“I just don’t understand how hard it is to find. It’s right there.” Tish laughed and pushed a delicate hand back through her hair. “It’s a clit, not the Holy Grail.”
Priestly raised a brow. “Some would call it that though,” he interjected.
She rolled her eyes. “You would.”
Offended, he sucked in a quick breath. “Ya know something-”
She turned, one hand on her hip, waiting. “Yeah?”
His lips pursed and dejected, he turned back to the grill. “Forget it.”
“Thought so,” she laughed.
God, she was such a bitch sometimes. OK, most times, but still.
Tish went back to leaning on the counter and he took the opportunity to peek at her ass.
Behind him, a throat was cleared.
Priestly sighed, knowing what was waiting for him when he turned. Or, rather, who.
“You again.” He batted his lashes.
She smacked her lips. “Me again.” From her pocket, she withdrew a pink Starburst and fiddled with the wrapper.
He eyed the candy and followed it to her mouth. Her lips were darker today and it reminded him of the cherry pop. “You eat too much sugar, you know that?”
She smiled gently. “And you dye your hair too much. That isn’t good for you. All those chemicals are gonna fry your brain.”
“Joke’s on you, it’s already fried- shit!” Fried egg. Burnt to a crisp. “Damnit.”
Sugar Girl swallowed a laugh and the Starburst.
He turned around, annoyed at himself and her laughter. “Are you- do you want something?”
“Yup.” She nodded and took her order from Piper, who was holding a small, paper-wrapped hero. “Thanks.”
Green eyes narrowed on her smile. She was weird. Way too weird. And kinda rude.
“You ever gonna tell me your name?” he asked, calling out as she pushed open the door.
“Sure,” she replied, “Soon as I get my free sample.”
“Huh?”
Confusion always seemed to linger when she left, that and the smell of strawberries. Or cherries, or whatever she’d been sucking on.
Sucking on…
His eyes flickered over to Tish and he wondered if she was as good at sucking things as she claimed.
Tumblr media
It was raining and he was cranky.
He’d missed his alarm, the car wouldn’t start, and a passing bus nearly drenched him head to toe.
It wasn’t supposed to rain at the beach. It was practically against the law. Nature’s law, anyway.
And to top it all off, Tish was bragging about the amazing night she’d had with a handsome stranger visiting from New York.
“He’s just in town for a few days, so it’s nothing serious,” she explained to a wide-eyed Piper who was drinking down every word. “But man, I wouldn’t be mad if it was. He’s… tall and handsome and-”
Priestly cleared his throat. “Ya know I’m pretty tall.”
She clicked her tongue. “And?”
His heart ached at her callousness. “And… just thought I’d remind you.”
Maybe she didn’t know what she was doing to him, but he thought his advances were fairly obvious. Maybe she was just a bitch.
Jen derailed his thought train with a shopping list she’d printed out.
He shook his head. “No.”
“Please?”
The shop on the corner was the last place he wanted to go. Nameless Sugar Girl was the last person he wanted to see. “Why do I always have to go?” He pouted and gestured to the window. “It’s pouring rain out there.”
Jen looked up with puppy-dog eyes. “Which is why I’m asking you to please go.”
A heavy sigh was his only reply. Priestly grabbed the paper from her hand, crumpling it beyond repair, and set out into the downpour.
He was dripping by the time he made it down the street. He sneered at the water on his face, rolled his eyes at the welcome mat, swatted viciously at the bells as they rang above his head.
“Rough morning?” she asked, watching his huffy entrance.
He scowled. “You could say that.”
A peppermint rolled on her tongue and the red and white stripes caught his eye. “Well, lemme know if you need any assistance.”
Priestly ran a hand through his teal-tinted hair and shook out a puddle’s worth of rain. “Yeah. Thanks.”
It took him a while to collect the goods, having trouble finding the right paper towels that would fit into the holder in the bathrooms. He’d never had any issues in the store before; seemed like someone had rearranged.
Someone.
He looked across the rows of sundries and wondered what her deal was. Hell, he still didn’t even know her name. Not that he wanted to, of course.
Of course.
Finally, and with much annoyance, he arrived at the register.
She laughed softly as he unloaded his arms.
He shook his head. “What?”
“I… I shouldn’t even touch this one.”
He had no clue what she was talking about, he never did, and he was at the end of his rope.
His patience snapped. “What?”
She sat back, clearly hurt by his tone. “Your shirt.”
She pointed at his chest and he looked down, reading the big black letters upside down.
‘Save a tree, eat a beaver’
His shoulders fell. “Oh. Yeah. Whatever.”
“Yeah,” she echoed, the sting heavy in her voice. “Whatever.”
He couldn’t take it anymore. Dropping a can of coffee onto the counter, he slapped his palms down on either side of it and leaned in.
“Ya know, everytime I see you, you’ve got something snarky to say.”
Her eyes went wide. “Snarky?” She frowned. “I thought I was flirting.”
The fight drained out of him along with the blood in his cheeks. Confused once more. “Uh… what?”
Pushing herself up off the stool, she mirrored his pose, hands falling dangerously close to his. “Flirting,” she said again. “It’s an ancient ritual in which a sexually interested party attempts to lure their prey into bed with witty and charming wordplay.”
He balked. “I know what flirting is!”
She glared. “Then why haven’t you picked up on the fact that I’ve been trying to pick you up for weeks now?”
“I uh…” His elbows buckled and he stood up fully. “You have?” No way. She wasn’t…
Memories of the past month flooded his mind. Each time he’d seen her she was smiling at him, not being snarky. She was teasing him, answering the ridiculous sayings on his shirt.
‘I sell crack for the CIA.’ … “I hope you overcharge them”
‘Surf naked.’ … “I always do.”
‘Orgasm Donor - Ask for your free sample’ … “As soon as I get my free sample.”
It had been smacking him in the damned face and he hadn’t seen it. She had been playing with him the whole time, not trying to annoy him. She wanted him to notice her, but he was too busy dreaming of Tish, wondering when she’d notice him.
He sucked in a stunned breath. “You have. Wow.”
A tiny smile returned to her cherry lips. “Come on, I know you’re not as dumb as your fashion sense implies.”
Priestly felt a dip in his gut, something fluttering around inside. He grinned. “Oh, I’m way dumber.”
Reaching across the counter, she grabbed hold of his shirt and pulled him close. “Good.”
Her lips were soft, the kiss as sweet as the candy she was always eating. He breathed her in as her tongue swept over his.  He was stunned, confused but in a good way. Maybe he needed to push Tish aside and pay more attention to the world around him. Maybe this was a good thing. A really good thing. His eyebrows raised in surprise, his blood pressure raised even higher.
She pulled away slowly, her lips lingering on his.
“You get it now?”
She waited, blinking at him with the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen. He should have looked sooner, closer; should have given her a chance.
“Yeah,” he whispered in a laugh. “I think I do.”
Another kiss, a press of her hand at the nape of his neck.
“You ever gonna tell me your name?”
She smiled. “Y/N.”
He reached for her cheek; fingers landing lightly on her soft skin.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N.”

Heart stickers ! (Yan! Valentine family x Veronica’s sisterReader) platonic
tw: slight yandere behavior
- appearance is the same as Veronica Enjoy! Mwah this is pt one (?) dunno I got tired but I have ideas tho this is a draft fyi!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Where are you going?” The girl questioned, holding onto Gabriel’s clothes, if he didn’t know any better he’d guess that it was Veronica herself talking to him.
But the boy learned the difference between the two of you, you were younger than her by a few months, while Veronica didn’t have the slightest bit of divine power you on the other hand did.
Gabriel stared at the girl dumbfounded, she’d been sent with him to the valentine household, Her sister silently hoping she’d get killed while living there. “Oh I was going to enter the church” the mumbled, “I can enter with you then!” The girl smiled and held his hand.
Ah, the other difference between the two of you is that, What ever you do or say, makes the atmosphere uncanny in some way, creepy even. While Veronica held the opposite effect.
Gabriel once again stared at the girls gold eyes and let her, he let her drag him wherever she wanted, he didn’t want to protest.Yet to him this was absolute torture.
“Y/n let go” he frowned making it obvious this Time, “Hm, okay” yet she smiled brighter this time, was it to ease this awkward situation?. Why were you smiling.
He disregarded his thoughts and shoved past the girl in hurry, “what did I do?” She muttered under her breath, her eyes trained on him as she watched him leave.
“All I’ve done is act nice to him yet he still treats me like shit!” She whispered, even more, louder this time, her eyes down casting to the floor as she continued walking. “I’ll have to be stuck with him for a few years or so... I don’t even want to be here anymore” she sighed. It was clear that she was sulking.
Y/n returned to her room instead of following the boy, if she did she would’ve probably made it even more awkward and she couldn’t risk it at the moment, “Nothings going as planned, I’m doomed! I’m gonna end up dead!” She cried, She already knew that her own sister didn’t want her, nor did the church want her so that’s why they sent her.
For some reason the two siblings have always had this unspoken rivalry between each other, “I wanna go home” she sulked staring at the wall.
The next few weeks had passed at this point, It was the same routine everyday, it’d be her trying to make conversation with Gabriel then him refusing and then she’d be left alone to do whatever.
“This is so boring!” She sighed, yes it was true that she’d been sulking every day for the past weeks but she had nothing to do, the stuff she had to do was so easy that’d she’d finish it in no time.
The blonde stared out the window, After giving it some thought she decided to go walk in the garden out of boredom.
In a few minutes outside her good eyes sparkled with excitement, she was hiding behind a tree why? , Because she’d just ran into a fairy.
or that’s how she’d like to think, her pink hair was so pretty, it was like she could disappear at any moment.
She never spoke to her though she’d observe her threw the background it was something she’d do to fill her time.
One day she’d brought some food with her to continue this weird task she’d put her self up to, She opened the bag a little too loud when she felt someone staring at her.
She’d been found out. She would run away but then she’d get screamed at by Gabriel which she couldn’t have, she also wasn’t allowed outside when she wasn’t doing anything but here she was.
The blonde looked at her food instead, she didn’t look at the girl when she heard twigs break, nor did she stare when she saw two pair of shoes in front of her, simply she was too afraid.
The pink head knelt down and gave her a piece of paper, she didn’t move after she gave her the paper she stayed still waiting for an answer.
‘Why are you sitting here alone?’
That’s what was written on the paper, the girl looked up and met the fairy’s pink eyes, she smiled at her before standing up to her full height and extended her hand to help her up she gladly accepted.
“Miss.. what’s your name?” Y/n spoke her gold eyes staring at the fairy, she quickly scribbled out her name on a piece of paper before lifting it up.
‘Aria’
Her name is really pretty, The girl thought, she thanked Aria and continued following her not knowing what to do.
Aria led y/n to a more quieter place instead of seating on the floor there was a cloth covering it so that you clothes don’t get dirty.
the siren knew that you’d been watching her for a while, you didn’t think she was oblivious now did you?

Hi! I saw that you asked for requests and because we just don't have enough Nikolai content and your stories are fantastic, I made a Nikolai x Reader request :) this will be a bit longer. Sorry about that 🙈
After his coronation, Nikolai is supposed to find a suitable wife, of course. By a "coincidence" he meets reader. She is the only child of a general/lord and he falls madly in love with her. He starts courting her, they fall in love and are happy together. Everything seems perfect and he wants to propose to her. However, their meeting was not a coincidence, but planned by her father and other lords and generals. Since they are below Nikolai's ministers, they have no access to him and the palace. So Reader is sent ahead to „open“ the gates of the palace for her father and his entourage to overthrow Nikolai. Reader, however, warns Nikolai just before they do so, allowing him to save himself. Ashamed of having allowed herself to be manipulated and betraying the man she loves, she flees the palace, but is apprehended by her father's men. She leaves Nikolai a letter in which she confesses her feelings for him but also the whole truth about her father. Nikolai is absolutely devastated. Some time later, Nikolai decides to attack her father and his henchmen in their hideout and arrest them. Tamar and Tolya hear a faint heartbeat in the basement of the house and find Reader badly injured. They take her to Nikolai and back to the palace where she is treated. In the end, the two marry and live happily together, as she betrayed not Nikolai but her father and almost giving her life for Nikolai.
As you can see, I am a simp for Nikolai and happy endings with drama along the way! Would be very happy if you would write it. Thank you! 🤍
Tumblr media
The girl, the only daughter of a lord in the north, had been locked in the basement for days now.
She clutched her hands together, staring down at the emerald ring that rested on her finger. He had proposed—her Nikolai, the love of her life, had proposed. And instead of bedding him, instead of kissing the hell out of him and celebrating their engagement, all she could do was cry.
She told him the truth, then. That her father had used her as a pawn, had used him as a pawn, to steal his throne and conquer his kingdom.
Nikolai had only stared at her in horror, his own heart breaking at her words, and stared down at his new fiancée, down on her knees and begging for his forgiveness.
“Was any of it real?” He had asked, eyes lining with water as he stepped away, staring down at the girl crumpled into a heap at his feet. “All this time—did you ever love me?”
She had wept, hiding her face in her hands as she nodded, praying to every Saint above for his forgiveness. Because yes, gods yes, she loved him. She had been flustered when they met, by chance, she a visiting courtier attending a party in Ravka thrown in the prince’s honor. When he’d seen her, catching her stare across the ballroom, he’d winked. And when he appeared next to her like an apparition, begging for a dance, she almost forgot herself in that blue gaze as she accepted.
Almost.
Because she had been sent as a spy, as a distraction, in order to further her father’s access to the palace. And when he’d kissed her that first time, that perfect mouth against her own, she’d almost cracked. Almost told him right then of all the scheming and treachery—but she couldn’t. Because she was selfish, and she was falling for him, and she didn’t want to waste a single precious second with the prince of Ravka.
So when he had proposed, dropping to his knees to beg for her hand, telling her he’d love her until the last of his days, she’d broken. All she could feel was the weight of her betrayal and manipulation, and she’d broke, bursting into tears and begging for his forgiveness.
But he hadn’t.
He’d only stared at her, disbelief and heartbreak crossing his face, as he questioned every touch, every glance, every night spent tangled up in sheets together, his name a desperate plead against his mouth. He’d bedded her, for gods sakes. He’d bedded and loved and cared for her, and she…she was a traitor.
And when she fled into the night, in pain and heartbroken, she’d been captured by her father’s men. Seeing the pain on her face and absorbing her refusal to tell them anything, to give them an inch, for that she’d been tortured and locked in that basement, her life draining from her with every heartbeat.
Her father loved her, she knew that. But he loved power more.
So she fought him. She fought him with everything she had, and when he’d stabbed her, when desperation filled his face and he begged her to forgive him, to find a healer, she refused. She’d rather die than live in a world where she wasn’t Nikolai’s wife; she was a traitor, and she’d die like one.
So she closed her eyes and slept, her breathing growing shallow, and slipped gratefully into the darkness.
***
Nikolai had been betrayed.
The ache of it had filled every inch of his body, and he couldn’t shake the memory of it. Of her—the only woman he had dared to truly love, begging on her knees for his forgiveness. Warning him of the treachery of her father. And when word had been sent that she’d been kidnapped, that unspeakable horrors were being committed to her, he didn’t know whether he wanted to run to her or for her to rot.
“Please, Nik.” Tamar begged, one of Y/N’s closest friends at the palace. “She’s a good person. She never would’ve told you about her father if she didn’t—”
“She never loved me.” He spat, whirling on his guard, and the woman glared.
“She loved you with everything she had.” Tamar argued, glaring at her prince with an authority he’d never seen before on her face. “Trust me. If anyone would know, it’d be me.”
“And how would you—”
“Because I’m the one she told about the plot.” She growled, getting right into his face. “I’m the one she went to for advice. Because I’m the only one who trusts her with my entire heart—unlike you apparently. Some fiancé you are.”
His breathing quickened, and he stared, contemplating every word. Could it be true? Could she—was it real?
“Did she really love me?” He asked, voice hoarse with grief, and was stunned to see Tamar tearing up.
“You were all she talked about.” The Grisha admitted, glancing down at the floor. “I couldn’t get her to shut up about you.” She took a deep breath, looking up at the prince. “If you don’t love her, I understand. But I’m going after her. I’m going to save her, and I’ll do it with or without your help.”
Nikolai stared back, hardly able to breathe, but nodded, allowing a kernel of hope to bloom inside his broken, shattered chest. And so when Tamar explained the plan, explained what would happen, they plotted throughout the night, and left in the morning.
***
Y/N was barely breathing when she heard the voices.
She’d been hearing noise for hours now, above her, noises that sounded like guns and screaming and death. Good, she had thought. Let the bastards die. But her eyes closed, tiredness covering every inch of her, and her hand finally left her stab wound, the hole in her stomach wide and leaking blood at a rapid pace.
She was done trying to survive. She had held the wound off and on, groaning when the pain became too much to bear, but she was done. She didn’t care if she died there, on the floor. Didn’t care if she never saw Nikolai—
The thought made her gasp, pain flooding every inch of her, as she pictured his vivid blue eyes and his gorgeous face. That face that had smiled at her, had teased her, had bought her gifts and showered her with affection and—and—
A strangled sob left her mouth at the realization that she’d never see him again. She knew tonight was her last night. She could feel it in her soul. So she closed her eyes, focusing on that image of him, of her fiancé, in her mind, and allowed her blood to spill out onto the floor.
***
When she woke, her entire body felt strange. Her eyelids were heavy as she forced them open, glancing around at the space she was in. Not the basement no, but familiar bedchambers. Bedchambers she’d slept in, had had meals in, had been touched in—
She almost jolted upright at the realization before pain made her lay back down, a low moan slipping from her lips.
A hand touched hers so fast she startled, and looked up into the eyes of Tamar, her best friend letting out a strangled sob at the sight of her awake.
“Y/N,” the woman gasped, clutching her hand and bringing it to her own chest. “We thought you’d—I could barely hear your heart and—”
“I’m…” the girl forced out, still fighting the urge to fall back asleep. “…fine.”
“Like hell you are.” Another voice told her, and she turned her head, spotting Tolya blinking awake on the chair beside her bed. The male clutched her shoulder in a gentle squeeze, his brown eyes soft. “We searched for you for almost half an hour. I thought Tamar would kill me if I didn’t find you.”
“I would have.” Her best friend promised, and Y/N let out a shaking laugh.
“I’m sorry.” She croaked, clearing her throat against the dryness while Tolya poured her some water. “I never meant for—I mean, I knew but—” she swallowed again, her eyes beginning to fill with tears. “I loved you all. I do love you all. And when he—” she couldn’t speak anymore, remembering the agony on Nikolai’s face, and her mouth crumpled. She couldn’t stop herself from crying, embarrassed as she wept, and didn’t protest, despite her pain, when Tolya wrapped her arms around her in a hug.
Her favorite siblings were both cooing sympathies, touching her hair and comforting her, when the bedroom door opened. Tolya pulled away immediately, but Tamar lingered, a territorial look on her face when the prince of Ravka ventured into the room. Y/N looked away from him, pressing her face into Tamar’s shoulder, and the older girl simply ran a hand along her back in support.
“If you hurt her,” Tamar threatened, refusing to stand down to her prince, her captain, that dominated her in leadership in every way possible. “I will kill you.”
Tolya startled, shooting his sister a horrified glance, but Nikolai only bowed his head in deference.
“I understand.” He said, voice low and breaking, and Tolya moved out of his chair towards the door. Tamar gave Y/N a questioning look, a look that asked if she felt comfortable being alone, before the girl nodded. Tamar sent Nikolai one last death stare before leaving the room, shutting it behind her.
Y/N and Nikolai didn’t speak, her eyes fixed on some corner of furniture across the room, her stomach aching with the stitches and her heart throbbing in her chest. After a moment, she spoke, her voice tired and soft.
“You should’ve let me die.” She told him, still somehow missing the cold bliss of the blackness that had ended her pain and depression. She remembered what slipping into it had felt like, when she felt her blood against her own fingers and had simply slept. Peaceful. Painless.
“You know I couldn’t allow that.”
“Why?” Her voice snapped out of her and she winced, allowing her fingers to seek out the stitches in her stomach, remembering her father’s blade. It was tender to the touch, the wound, and the pads of her fingers traced the thread woven into her skin. “You didn’t want me then. Why should you—“
“I have always wanted you.” Nikolai argued, sitting down beside her. When he peeled back the covers and eyed her wound, his heart tripped over itself. “You—for me?”
“I would rather have died down there than you hate me.” She sniffed, looking away. But then his hand caught her face and she was forced to look at him, her eyes filling with tears as they stared up at him.
“I love you.” He insisted, leaning down to kiss her brow, and held her when she shook against him. “I’m going to marry you, Y/N Y/L/N. And you cannot stop me.”
“I want that.” She sniffed, pushing past the pain enough to loop an arm around his neck. To breathe in his scent and to touch his hair. She almost cried harder, remembering how she’d held onto his image as she’d laid dying. The Saints were looking after her, then. If they’d let her survive.
“I love you.” He repeated, kissing her softly, and she clutched at him, her eyes spilling over.
“I love you too.” She swore, and was thankful that they had saved her. And when they did get married, when her wound healed and they started their life together, she didn’t miss her father or his conspirators.
Not one bit.
BOOM I hope you like it
