Okay, so you are very different compared to the large number of characters on the boardwalk. Your style consisted of button shirts, sweaters or turtle necks, dress pants or a plaid pleated skirts, cardigans or waistcoats, oxford shoes or even wire framed glasses if you wore them for seeing or just for the look.

To say that you caught the boys attention would be an understatement. You seemed to stand out amongst the crowd and they became curious. You were a mystery to them and they love the challenge.

Somehow, someway, after days or weeks later, you became good friends which soon lead to you dating four trouble making punks. It was tough on both parts, but it happened, and hey, you weren’t complaining.

You were very blunt when you first met them, not really interested in them and more or less interested in the book in your hands. It took a lot of “accidental” run ins to even get you to hang out with them.

You slowly opened up when they offered to take you out for dinner at a local diner. They’re constant joking soon had you letting out small, almost whisper-like giggles and tiny smiles that sent them into a frenzy.

When you would start talking about yourself, your ideas of fun were different from theirs. You liked museums, opera houses, bookstores and going to theaters to see plays. The games you played were chess and cards, and the music you listened to was old. You were pretty sure they thought you were boring but you actually peaked their interest.

After a while of being friends with them, they asked you out. You liked them and the only logical step was to see if you liked them the same way they liked you was to date them, so you said yes.

In general, them having a girlfriend with a 1940s/1950s dark prep look was fun. David and Dwayne like it the most. Paul next, then Marko.

David actually really likes picking out your clothing on most days. You have an extensive collection of clothing with material from cashmere to linen, all the colors consisting of browns, black, cream and even a little dark green.

His favorite thing to put you in is trench coats. Doesn’t matter what color it is, he just likes seeing you in them. Also, there are a handful of times that he has MADE you wear his trench coat. Yeah it almost swimmed on you, but he thought it made you look cute and it fit in perfectly with your look.

Dark academia isn’t only your style, but it’s your way of life. David is the one that plays chess with you. You had to reteach it to him and pretty soon, the two of you had your own little set up in the cave that was always ready for a game of chess.

David is sort of like you… in a way when it comes to others feelings. But deep down he knows that he really likes you and tries to show it the best he can. He took you to a theater to see a play that you were constantly talking about and so he took you on a date. You being you, didn’t realize that’s what it was until he told it straight to your face. Let’s just say you were speechless for the next hour.

Also, when it’s just the two of you, deep inside the cave where your nest is, classical music is playing from your record player. It could be Beethoven, Tchaikovsky or Mozart. Whoever it is, David is the one that will listen to it with you the most. I think he really enjoys classical music and he enjoys it even more if the two of you are cuddling in your bed.

Occasionally Dwayne would join the two of you. You would be sitting in between David’s legs as Dwayne sat in between yours, his head leaning back against your chest. It was like a cuddle pile… cuddle train?? Whatever you wanted to call it, it was cuddling while the three of you relaxed listening to classical music. And it was darn cute.

Dwayne loves listening to you go on and on about any books you were reading at the moment. Whether or not it was nonfiction or even about any type of history. He was down. He lived through a lot and he knew about half of the stuff you gushed on about, but for some odd reason, it never bored him when you talked about it.

He would be the one to get you new books, leaving you sweet little notes tied to them. Of course you thought it was just him being nice and thanked him for it without thinking there was any romantic meaning behind it. Yeah he was one of your boyfriends but it never really crossed your mind that way. He would just shake his head at your obliviousness and give you a small peck on the lips.

Don’t ask him why, but his favorite look on you is a light cream colored blouse with a plaid skirt and Mary Jane shoes. Dwayne is a leg man so… he’s very happy when decide to show off some skin if you decide not to wear knee-socks or stockings with it. Even if you did wear them, he would still be attached to your side the entire night.

Like David, Dwayne would bring you out to a lot of places that were opened late at night. If there was an art exhibition in town or even a museum that was open late, just say the word and he will happily drive you on his bike. Heck, David might even tag along.

Also, late night bookstore dates… oh my heart, it’s too sweet it hurts. There are times that he does have to throw you over his shoulder when the bookstore is closing and you're pretty much refusing to leave. When he does that, you just stay frozen over his shoulder, not knowing if you should be blushing or cursing at him for carrying you like a sack of potatoes.

If anything, you and Dwayne connect very well. You’re naturally very quiet and so is he. Not much is said between you two but there's a mutual understanding that can’t be explained. While the others are out causing trouble, you and him are on the sidelines watching hand in hand or your reading and he's just staring at you as you do so.

Paul and Marko kind of give you whiplash. They’re loud and rowdy and definitely 100% opposite from you. But they interested you. They had a very chaotic outlook on life which made you ask many questions.

Paul found your look sexy. He’s horny and you give off preppy school vibes, he’s living for it 24/7. Constant teasing of you giving him ‘private lessons’ which results with you whacking a book against the back of his head. But it doesn’t stop the reddening of your ears which doesn’t make him stop.

This man is also your designated jewelry expert. You only wear some accessories and they're very simple. So you are very surprised when Paul finds you jewelry that is your style and collects it for you. You like leather watches, guess what, he’s got it for you. You want some fancy victorian looking brooches, he’s got that too. Simple rings with a single jewel in the middle, expect constant ‘will you marry me’ jokes, but he gets you the best.

Also, he’s not overly big into your music selection. He does try to get you into his type of music, which you only like very few and far between. But when you do get him to listen to your type of music, it’s only if you agree to listen to his music the next night. You guys come up with a system and decide to switch every few nights.

Each of the boys have their favorite look on you and Paul's is when you wear a button-up of any color with a simple black tie, a pencil skirt and a pair of Dr.Marten boots. He especially likes the tie… for reasons. God damn it, you know the reasons, get out of here.

He’s a very affectionate boy and he finds your looks over confusion some of the cutest shit he’s ever seen. Probably the first one to tell you that he loves you and you honestly like glitched out. Did you feel the same way? Yes, but poor little thing you doesn’t say it right away, but Paul knows that you aren’t really used to saying things like that without warming up to it. Which is okay. He knows even if you don’t say it.

He definitely steals one of your blazers to put pins on it. Marko helps, putting a few patches on it that they both know you would like. It’s the one item that stands out in all of your clothing and you will wear it if they ask you to.

Marko definitely thinks the look is cute and it suits you very well, but why no color?! You wear dark colors but nothing bright like the colors that are on his jacket. He tries to slip in some colorful clothing into your everyday look, it never goes as planned but you give him an A for effort.

He loves how dark you can be at times though. You want to go to a local graveyard just because? Sure! Let’s go! He’s your designated graveyard buddy. You have many date nights there, looking at all the different gravestones and finding it interesting when you jot down some names in one of your notebooks.

Speaking of notebooks, you have many of them. They were filled with notes from books you’ve read, real life observations or even just some random poetry and short stories that you wrote. Marko would go through them a lot and even sometimes draw little doodles or rough sketches that were thought up from your writings.

When you spend nights down at the Boardwalk, your go to drink isn’t a slushie or a milkshake or even a soda. It’s coffee or tea. Yeah, and only Marko knows your drink orders by heart. None of the others seem to remember them correctly which you thank them for trying but Marko has got them all beat.

Marko likes seeing you in sweaters and in your trousers or linen shorts with chelsea boots. If anything, when the two of you are alone, just wearing a knit sweater and shorts were perfect for him. He likes how cozy and warm you look. He’s very happy when he cuddles you and you are warm.

Now when they tell you that they’re vampires, you think that they’re joking. Vampires aren’t real, they’re a work of fiction. Yes there was a real man named Dracula, but there was no way that they were actual vampires.

Then they showed you hard proof and then there was no denying it at that point. Instead of running away, you were fascinated. You wanted to understand your boyfriends vampire ways that lead to you conducting extensive research and a notebook dedicated to them.

They showed you everything about them, how they feed, to which you didn’t bat an eyelash of watching them feed one night. You were one morbid chick but they saw that as a plus that you didn’t react. You had graveyard dates for crying out loud, nothing really surprised them at that point.

Flying came next and they had a lot of fun showing you just how high they could go with you in their arms. You never screamed at the height, you were too caught up in seeing the overhead view of the town. You could get used to seeing a view like that every night.

Then came the other things; how they slept before you came along, what actually hurt them and what didn’t. There was one time that you stared at their vampire faces for hours because you were taking notes on how their facial features changed.

Soon you had to stock up on more turtlenecks because of the many bite marks they would leave behind from feeding on you if the weather was bad one night. It wasn’t tough adapting to their occasional feeding. A lot of your clothing already covered up your skin so it was easy to hide from people on your nights out.

Not too long after, they popped the question. Would you want to be a vampire? Live forever, never grow up? Be with them for all eternity? You didn’t really need to think about it for too long, you knew what your answer was and so did they even if you didn’t say it out loud. You loved your boys and not much would change.

When you did change, it was entertaining for them to watch. You soon started taking down notes about your progress, comparing and contrasting your experience to their own.

To the eyes of many, you became even more dark and mysterious. You had an aura around you that drew people in, it’s what got you your four vampire boyfriends, only now, it brought in your meal for the night.

haha, well, this seems pretty fitting, I was just rambling at @chubbybuckyforlife about Ransom eating Biscoff cookies in Knives Out, so this is mostly just what I came up with while chatting (come talk to me in the dms y'all, I talk way more there, because I don't think about writing as much and just ramble :D)

Also there's a video of Rian Johnson talking about how he felt bad for how many Chris had to eat.

"And these cookies, you eat, like, two of them and you feel like your throat is coated in butter. And Chris was pounding these all day long.

(fun fact: Biscoff cookies are actually vegan, so no butter, they're basically just vegetable oils, sugar and flour)

but Rian is right, those cookies are insanely sweet, filling and pretty high-calorie, how high-calorie?

well, 100 grams of those Biscoffs are 484 kcal, a serving is four cookies (30g) which is 150 kcal, so an entire package (250g) is 1210 kcal

1.2k of just cookies, on top of whatever he's had to eat before they started filming those scenes (yeah he probably didn't eat that much, but damnit let me dream :D)

but y'know if Chris were to eat just 12 Biscoffs a day on top of his normal meals, he could gain around 1lbs per week

Alright, enough math. This isn't really big bellied Chris and more food baby Chris, but I hope y'all enjoy reading this anyway :D

Chris is wearing the white sweater, scarf and the coat in those scenes, so he'd be able to hide his stuffed belly pretty well on set

the way it curves out and presses up against the soft knit of the sweater is hidden by the flowy material of the scarf

and from the side the large coat obscures his rounded stomach too

maybe it gets uncomfortable to keep eating around the twelfth take, it's not just that his throat feels like its coated in grease

he's pretty full already after eating breakfast and lunch earlier today

but Chris pulls through, he just has to eat a few cookies, it shouldn't be that difficult, right? he's been through worse

but by the time he gets to the bottom of that package, he's actually feeling a bit sick, all that sugar is making him slightly nauseous

so he heads back home to you as soon as they wrap for the day

Ok, so, maybe let's start with some insecure Chris? like there's a lot of pressure for celebrities to keep up their movie physiques even when they're not filming. Like people telling Chris his build is disappointing irl, which just.. why would you do that??

when he comes in it's maybe pretty late already, he tells you he's already eaten on set and that he's tired after the full day of shooting

he's still feeling pretty full, and even though the nausea is gone, the food still weighs heavily in his stomach

he can feel how stretched out it is and his muscles twitch uncomfortably when he tries to just relax his core and the muscles tense involuntarily again

Chris can see how round his belly looks when he gets ready for bed in the bathroom, the discomfort is a bit better when he supports his belly with his hand, but he cringes at the feeling the curve of it resting against his palm

he gets under the covers and shuts off the bed room light, even though it's barely past 10 pm, so you know something is up

when you get in bed with him and cuddle up behind him

Chris tries to suck his belly in, but because of all the food he can't do it and he is just left lying there, feeling insecure about looking like he gained a belly over night

maybe you can hear his belly growling and gurgling uncomfortably, so you move your hand to his belly

you try to sooth his stomach by rubbing over the distented skin, but Chris goes ridgid as a plank

you slide closer to him, kiss the back of his neck and ask, "Does this help?"

and he kind of has to admit that it does

Chris turns around to look at you, because even when his words fail him you know him well enough by now to understand

and then he's lying on his back, maybe slightly turned towards you and you keep moving your hand over his little bloated belly

oh he tries to keep looking at you but he gets too shy, flushes all red, and turns his face into the pillow, because he's enjoying this way more than he thought he would

Ok, imagine this setup (Chris stuffed and with a food baby after eating all those cookies) but he's not insecure about it at all because he knows you like it?

Chris, of course, slides up right behind you, he snakes his arms around you and asks you how your day was

he hugs you closer and then you feel his little belly pressing into the small of your back, you can't help the soft "oh" that escapes you

when you try to turn around, he thightens his grip and keeps you looking straight ahead

Chris can see your blush spreading to the back of your neck and he trails kisses up the hot skin of your neck and to your ear, "you like it?", he whispers

he kisses his way to your other ear, "do you like this belly?", he asks and grinds into you, pressing his belly against you even more

"yes," you gasp and try to reach back, to pull him closer, he finally turns you around to kiss you

your hands immediately steal under the hem of his sweater to feel the hot, stretched skin over his stomach

"what did you eat?" you ask, as he turns off the stove behind you and leads you to the couch

so he tells you about the Biscoffs while making out on the couch

“Hey, darling,” Mick pressed a quick kiss to your cheek while you were cleaning up the kitchen. He just came back from his second gym session with his PT from Haas. “Hi,” you replied, looking over your shoulder to see him throwing his bag on the table, still dressed in the clothes he wore to the gym. “I’m going to take a shower and then I’ll be in at the desk to read over some things, alright?” Mick called, already on his way to the bathroom. You sighed softly. It had been going like this for over a month already. Ever since he was assigned for Haas and they arranged everything for him, his contract, management, his suits, seat fitting, training schedule, diet schedule, it was all that he seemed to be focussed on. And you supported his career 100%, being with him for over three years already, you learned that his career was his priority, which you accepted.

However since he was training for his first season in Formula 1, he was focussed on it as if it was literally the only purpose in life. Gina, his sister, had asked why he didn’t text or call her back. His mother was concerned about his extreme focus so before the start of the season and meanwhile you, being his girlfriend and sharing an apartment with him, you got confronted with it everyday. You thought it would just be a week, that he had to get into his new rhythm and it would be fine, but he didn’t seem to see that he was neglecting his normal life around it. You couldn’t recall the last time you had a movie night together, or the last time you ordered some take out and had a lazy Sunday. “Mick...” you said, walking after him. He was just stripping from his shirt, rumbling in the closet for some clean clothes. “What are you doing?” you asked.

“I’m just taking some clothes?” Mick said, his eyebrows raising. “I mean you, your behaviour,” you continued. “What do you mean?” he asked. “You’re... obsessed with training, your eating schedule, your sleeping pattern, do you even notice?” you asked. “I’m dedicated to my career, love, is that so bad?” Mick answered, having a sweater in his hands and some joggers ready on the bed. “It’s just that you’re neglecting us, our relationship, your family, your friends...” you summed up. “I’m with you every day, what are you on about?” Mick was starting to get annoyed. “You’re with me every day, but you’re not at the same time! When was the last time we had quality time together? When have you told me properly about your day or asked about mine? Did you text your sister back? Hell, it’s not even that important, but when’s the last time we had sex?” you said, annoyed now too.

Mick sighed, sitting down on the edge of the bed. He didn’t want to admit it at first, but he realized you were right, especially when he took his phone and realized he had all kinds of messages from his friends, family left on read. He realized you were right about that you hadn’t been investing in each other for a long time already and he regretted it. Because he wanted nobody else but you on his side during this exciting, upcoming experience with his new team.

You returned from your walk, glad you took some air and Mick was already waiting for you when you came in. He didn’t say anything, but his arms wrapped around you straight away. You let your head rest on his chest and your fingers curled into the material of his sweater. “I’m sorry,” Mick started. “You were right, I don’t know what got into me, I must’ve been awful to live with the last couple weeks,” he complained, pulling back lightly to look down at you. “You kind of were,” you replied, making him chuckle. “I’m sorry, I really am. Please, let me make it right, we can have tonight together and I’ll make sure to plan my things better next week,” Mick suggested and you nodded, smiling at him. Mick was relieved you accepted his apology and he nuzzled his nose against yours before pecking your lips. You were cuddled up on the couch not much later and he had missed this, so he was glad you spoke about it in the end.

Dice has a strange relationship with material things, because he loves money and gambling, but he’s not really greedy for permanent objects, so he never really buys anything unnecessary for the apartment

the one thing he does splurge on, is pillows

he loves buying a million of them and just laying in the middle of the bed with you, surrounded in a sea of soft, fluffy pillows

one time you asked him why he liked them so much and he just shrugged and said that he always had a ton of pillows growing up and it helped him fall asleep

which is absolutely precious, omg imagine a small Dice on a huge bed lost in a sea of comfy pillows ugh my heart

something Dice loves to do with you whenever the two of you are together is bet on small, inconsequential things

for example, betting on whether the train will come on time or be late or whether the price of groceries will come out to an even or odd number

the penalties for winning or losing are always something super cute things like hugs, or kisses, or doing chores for the other person for the week

one time he lost a bet with you and you jokingly demanded he proclaim his love to you, but Dice actually stood up on the table and loudly began to claim all of the reasons he loved you

you guys got kicked out of the restaurant but it was totally worth it

Dice has no shame when it comes to PDA and will always have his arms draped around you in a cutely possessive way, especially when the two of you are out shopping or just around town

matching sweaters during the holidays are 100% a thing with the two of you and the uglier the sweater the better

one time Dice brought home a little black and white kitten that was lost in the rain and you two nursed her back to health and ultimately the cat ended up staying with the two of you as your adoptive child

Dice named it Lucky and said it was fitting because both you and the kitten are his good luck charms and honestly that almost made you cry of the sheer cuteness

he loves to play with her and you have hundreds of sneaky videos of him baby-talking to the kitten and playing around with it

Billy had known heat, he grew up in California after all. Was used to the sun beating down on his small shoulders as he ran from street to street, beach to beach, wave to wave. Was used to that swaying feeling that would come over him if he stayed out of the shade too long around midday. Was used to the bare soles of his feet being burned from hot concrete and blistering sands.

Indiana in a heatwave was something else entirely.

California was built to be hot. Was built for the sun. There's water everywhere, places to hide inside if it got too much. Inevitably someone would pop a hydrant down the street and that would be the whole day. But Indiana was built for the cold. It was built for crisp fall mornings and thin sweaters and raincoats. It was built to keep the heat in, not let it out. The old buildings look beautiful but being stuck in one, with no working air conditioning, was a nightmare Billy was living through.

Outside had hit just over 100 degrees. Everyone had been sent home from work because it was becoming a dangerous problem. All the news talked about was this heatwave that seemingly wasn't about to end anytime soon.

So Billy was stuck on his couch, literally, laying out in front of a slowly oscillating fan that creaked with every slow semicircle. It wasn't cooling the room at all, just pushing hot air around, but it was even more torturous to have it off. All the cold beer and water bottles in the world wasn't touching the heat prickling his bare skin. Rolling cans over his chest only did so much and the small store many flights below had sold out of ice bags by 9am.

If Steve was around it would be different. His building had a pool in the basement. His place had working air conditioning. Apparently. Must be nice, walking into an ice cube. Living in a freezer. Rolling around with the peas and carrots in the bottom of the drawer. Cuddling up to Otter Pops like great solid pillows.

Billy had started to drift off to that thought when the phone rang. Moving an arm up to grab it from the table behind him was hell but he managed, warm air being pushed into a new stretch of skin. More sweat forming and dripping down into the material of the couch.

"Hargrove…"

"Hey Bill!"

Billy frowned at first but then smiled at Steve's voice, bright and cheerful, and checked the time from the clock on the wall. "Hey. What you doin' up? Ain't it like, five in the mornin' over there?"

Steve had been whisked away for a three week vacation, back to Italy to see his family. Really it was just his mother and cousins and aunts in some vineyard near Florence that one of them owned. It sounded nice, but was a family affair, no matter how much Steve protested on Billy's behalf. It would have been a treat to get a vacation, especially to Europe, but Billy could live without it. He wasn’t too mad about the whole being left behind thing. At least not this time.

"It is but, I miss you…" Steve sounded far away, echoey. He was but it wasn't helped by the international line. "What time is it there?"

"Like, almost eleven."

"Uh huh. And what are you doing?"

Billy looked around, the tv on in the corner but it was too hot to pay attention to it. Even the phone was starting to stick to his ear and the palm of his hand. He worried for a small moment it would melt and he’d be stuck peeling avocado green off the side of his face somehow.

"Just, hangin' out I guess?" He shrugged to himself. "There's been a heatwave so I'm off work ‘till it cools down."

"Uh huh, but, what are you doing?"

"...Lying on my couch?" Billy frowned confused at the ceiling. Surely Steve had better things to do in Italy than call him at five in the morning? Especially with what the call must be costing per minute. He heard a small sigh through the receiver, maybe annoyance. Definitely a small amount of irritance.

"I'm stuck sharing a room with my cousin and this is the only time I've been alone in a week. They’re gonna wake up soon and want breakfast before we go visit the market. Please work with me here babe," Steve spoke a little hushed, like maybe he would wake someone up if he spoke any louder. Billy stared at the ceiling for a moment, his brain foggy with heat before it all clicked.

A Merry Little Christmas

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader

Summary: Christmas is Bucky’s favorite time of the year.

Warning: EXTREME holiday fluff!

A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! Just a quick little blurb!

James Buchanan Barnes LOVED Christmas. He remembers the joy it brought him as a child to spend time with his family, and although they never had much money, him and his parents would always make sure that Santa brought gifts for his sisters.

The last couple of holidays were spent at Stark tower. A holiday with Tony Stark and the Avengers was a great to say the least. Extravagant gifts and decorations filled the tower, and many festive parties were thrown. The Avengers are his new family, and their love surely shines this time of year. This super family could be annoying at some times, but he is a grateful 100 year old man, that is how he met you after all.

Bucky and you fell in love not too long after you joined the team. The newest and youngest recruit (next to Peter that is, only about 4 years older than him) you proved your spot on the team. Your determination and drive is what caught Bucky’s eye, but the closer you two got, the more he fell in love with your kind heart and giving soul. He usually used Christmas as an excuse to spoil you, buying you unnecessary, but beautiful jewelry, dozens upon dozens of sharp new knives, the ones he knows you favor, with the matching accessories, and his favorite, almost the whole lingerie section from your favorite boutique. He knows material objects doesn’t prove his love for you, but he says he just likes to make his girl smile. He loves the way your eyes start to water when he gives you a gift. You never had much growing up either, so you get a bit overwhelmed while receiving gifts. But you sure know how to return the favor afterwards.

This year, Christmas would be different. Bucky was sent away on a last minute mission with Sam, and wouldn’t return until Christmas Eve evening. It’s also the first year you’d be spending Christmas in your new home. You and Bucky had moved to a quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn. It was a house similar to the one he’d grown up in, but it was more modern. Before he left two weeks ago he made sure you had everything you needed to get ready for Christmas. All the presents were bought and wrapped. And he even made sure that Steve would come and help you pick out a fresh tree for decorating. There was a possibility that the mission would take a turn for the worst and he would miss out on his favorite holiday, and just the thought of it gave him anxiety.

Yet the mission went as planned, and he barely spared a goodbye hug to Sam before rushing home on his motorcycle. Still sweaty and grimey from all the traveling, he made his way up the driveway with his duffle bag slung over his shoulder. It’s already dark outside, and he sees that you left the curtains drawn back, so the golden light from inside shines through. Bucky takes this moment to slow down, and he watches how you move along in the living room. You’re wearing one of his oversized knit sweaters and have your hair tied up in one of those silly messy buns he knows you like so much, and you seem to be gliding across the room, singing along to a song he can barley hear from where he’s standing. A smile pulls at his lips and he’s sure he’s never seen something so beautiful. As he enters through the door, the warmth instantly welcomes him, he can smell the roast you’re cooking in the kitchen, and you spin around to greet him.

“Babe, you’re home!” You exclaim! You rush over to him and he scoops you in his arms to hold you close.

“I missed you so much Sugar, I was gettin’ scared I was going to miss Christmas.” He kisses the top of your head, breathes in your sweet scent.

“I would’ve killed Sam if ya did. Here let me help you.” You start to unbuckle the straps of his suit, and slowly peel of his gear. He can’t help but adore you, watches you so fondly, and you know he loves these moments, because so do you. Once he’s left in his under gear, he reaches up to caress your cheek. You smile at him before reaching up on your toes to give him a proper kiss to welcome him home. Bucky lifts you so that you’re no longer touching the ground, and deepens the kiss, he has been away from you for two weeks after all. But the moment is short lived as he hears little foot patters run down the hallway.

“Da-Da!!”

Bucky sets you back on the ground gracefully as he picks up his baby boy, George.

“Hey little man, did you take good care of Mama for me?” He asks kissing the boy on his cheeks.

“Ya, and sissy too!”

Bucky’s eyes grows wide as he spins to look back at you.

“Sissy?!” He asks, tears already welling up in his eyes.

“Uh yeah Buck, Merry Christmas? I’m only at three months, but Georgie here is hoping for a sister, isn’t that right peanut?”

“Ya! Mama said we going to surprise you for Christmas, that I can have a brother or sissy!”

“Sugar, I- are you really?” Bucky really can’t help but cry now. “We’re gunna have another one?”

“Yeah Buck” you smile at him.

Bucky then pulls you in with his other arm and holds you tight with your son.

“Y/n, you just keep making my world brighter every day, I love you all so much.”

“I love you too babe, so much.” You start to cry now too.

“Oh bud, remember the surprise we had for Mama?” His son nods, and wiggles out of the hug, excitedly runs to the Christmas tree and shimmies under it.

“George be careful! Buck why is there something hidden under the tree?!” You ask wiping the tears from your face. But then George returns with a small box in his hand, and Bucky kneels down to thank his boy.

“Y/n, I don’t know what I’d ever do with out ya. You are my sun, my moon and all the stars in between. You’ve given me a life I never thought I’d have. You’ve made me the man I am today, and I’ll love you for the rest of eternity. Will you tie this family together and be my wife?” Bucky finishes a little shakey and opens the box to reveal a ring so beautiful, it takes your breath away.

“Oh James, of course! Yes!” You tackle him to the floor and kiss him silly. George joins in on the fun as well.

The rest of the night is spent enjoying dinner together, and opening presents you promised George he can open a day early. The overwhelming feeling of love has consumed both you and Bucky and he hasn’t let you move from your spot on his lap, as you cuddle on the living room couch.

“Merry Christmas Sugar.”

“Merry Christmas Buck. Welcome home.”

The raindrops hitting on the windows fill the room with a happy beat. I can't help but smile; the sound of rain paired with Michael's arms around my body, make my heart flutter happily. For the first time since the academic year started, I feel content and stress-free, like I have left everything in my dorm before leaving for California. My stomach grumbles, the thought of coffee and my promised pancakes swirling in my mind. I push the comforter off my body, trying to move away from Michael without waking him up. But his groggy whine reveals I failed, so he pulls me back by my waist and presses his body on mine. "Why are you moving?" He asks, planting a kiss on the base of my neck. His lips are warm, his breath hitting my skin and making me feel ticklish. "I wanted to make breakfast. I need warm coffee, it is too cold in Cali..." I protest, reaching my hand down to take his. "There is time for that... I wanna hold you a little more..." He hums, resting his hand on my hip. I turn around, facing him as he smiles sleepily. I lean in, pressing my lips on his protrusive bottom lip before I snuggle onto him a little more. "Your skin is so cold..." Michael comments, rubbing his hand down my back to bring me a little extra warm, adding to the heat radiating from his body. "It's freezing, not my fault..." I reply, nudging my head against his neck. He hums in agreement, fixing the comforter with his free hand. "Just 10 more minutes of snuggles and we will get up and head for breakfast." He assures me, kissing my forehead. "You know I can make us breakfast, right? Pancakes will take like, 10 minutes... And coffee is super easy to make, I'll even teach you." I mock him and he throws me a fake laugh. "Shut your chattering mouth and enjoy cuddle time..." He orders and I hum, feeling his fingertips press on my hip to keep me close.

It's well past the 10 minutes Michael said we would get up for breakfast, and still, his arms are wrapped around my body, lips pecking on forehead drowsily as his warm breath hits my skin, giving me just a little more comfort as the raindrops hit the window. "Babe, I am starving... My stomach is grumbling..." I kvetch, my voice breaking at the end and sounding more like a purr than the stern tone I intended to give off. "Aight... Let's get up." He yawns, trying to get rid of sleepiness while I pull the covers off. "Hey, can you not be so violent this early in the morning?" He asks, stretching his body as I dangle my feet off the bed to slide them in the slippers at the end of it. "It is nearly 12." I rub my eyes, picking up my robe to sleep inside it, battle the cold morning. "Too early..." He chuckles, walking towards me and leaning down and pressing his lips to mine. "But this is the most beautiful morning I have had in a while." He whispers, stroking my cheek before resting his chin on top of my head. "Me too. I hated being away from you..." I mumble, wrapping my arms around his torso, nestling up to his body. "I hated it too, lovebird... Go get ready now, let's go eat up." He whispers, placing one last kiss on my nose.

"I thought that California is warm all year round..." I stare outside the fogged window as Michael drives to the breakfast place. "Thank God it is not..." Michael sighs thankfully. "Yeah, but you didn't warn me about it... And I have only packed light clothes." I pout, making him fake-pout as well. "Well, you are always welcome to swaddle yourself in my hoodies..." He replies, reaching to take my hand in his. "Aren't you scared that I might steal them all?" I ask, tilting my head to the side and smiling at him, watching the twinkle in his eyes grow at the mention. "You deserve them all..." He replies happily, stroking his thumb over the top of my knuckles. He pulls up in a tiny diner, far away from all the hecticness of Los Angeles. The place seems like something out of a movie, with the little neon signs blinking even though it is morning and the contrast is not visible in the daylight. "Take my jacket, it's cold outside." Michael reaches to the backseat, picking up his leather jacket and placing it on my lap, looking at me as he waits for me to put it on; he looks at me lovingly, truly worrying about me being cold. "I will be fine." I mumble but he shakes his head no. "You won't. I'd much rather if you didn't get sick while you are here... Put it on... It will look really good with your outfit..." He places the jacket on my shoulders, tilting my chin up with his fingers and giving me a quick peck.

I moan at the sensation of hot coffee in my mouth, closing my eyes and enjoying the warmth. "Should I be jealous of your mug?" Michael teases, nudging my shoulder. "I don't know... Should ya?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow at him before I place a kiss on his lips with a big smile on my face. "Do you like it here?" He asks, draping his arm over my shoulders. "I love it. It's so quiet..." I reply, leaning to his body and resting my head on his shoulder. "It's even prettier at night... And nothing beats breakfast at night." He states, lowering his hand on my thigh, letting his palm and fingers feel the material of my jeans. "Is it bad that I wish my mornings are always like that?" I ask, exhaling frustrated just at the thought of having to go back in a few days. "No... I have the same wish. And I would give anything to have you here always, literally anything..." He assures me, pressing me more on his body as if he is trying to convince the universe that he is not willing to let me go away. "Just a few more months... I have to be there for just a few more months. And then I will be here... I promise." I place my hand on top of his, planting a kiss on his neck at the end of each sentence. Maybe we could go to a pumpkin patch and pick up pumpkins. I feel like craving today." I clap my hands, already feeling too pumped about the activity.

We walk side by side, Michael's hand resting protectively on my hip. The little farm is filled with people, mostly parents with their babies, who took advantage of the short break of the rain and decided to make the most out of the gloomy day. "You look a little too good in my leather, baby..." Michael mumbles, stepping in front of me and pulling me into a hug, making me smile as I press my face to his chest. "How little?" I ask and he hums. "Scratch that... You look far too good wearing my jacket." He presses his lips on my forehead. "I think that by the time I leave, you will need a new wardrobe... I look good in almost all of your clothes." I giggle and place my hand on his pec. "Well, you look even better naked, so... I think I am going to have you naked in bed, for the rest of your stay..." He plants a kiss on my neck, making me cackle and let out a sigh. "Did I come all this way to be locked up in a house?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow at him. "Nah... Maybe tied down to a bed... We will see." He gives me a cocky smirk before he squeezes my butt, moving to walk on my side.

(Hey love, don’t you worry about a thing! I’m so sorry this took a bit to get out, I spent the past few days doing research and taking notes on EDs, hopefully to get these as accurate as possible- and then I saved this in my drafts all night thinking I posted it. I want to make a disclaimer though, that this whole post has the potential to be triggering, so big trigger warning in advance! I also have never personally dealt with anyone who’s had an eating disorder, so please let me know if any of these are harmful or inaccurate and I’ll edit them immediately. With all that aside, please be safe and take care. HCs below the cut)

Bubba Sawyer 🐓

🐓 If we’re being honest, at first the brothers just think you don’t want to eat other people- which isn’t wrong, but not correct, either. This dawns on Bubba when he puts together seeing you cook with Drayton, yet not having any of the meals yourself

🐓 His first reaction is concern. Out of the way of his brothers, Bubba will approach you with a bowl half full of chili and anxious babbling- the poor guy just doesn’t know what's wrong. He understands how difficult it can be to struggle against yourself, so if you aren’t ready to open up just then, he’ll worriedly relent until you are

🐓 Once you break it to him that you have an ED, you’re going to have to explain a little more. Bubs was only raised by the rules of family and food. He doesn’t quite grasp the concept of you not being able to eat regularly

🐓 When the light above his head finally flickers on, he’s full protective mode. Considering how crude and brutish Nubbins, Chop Top, and Drayton can be, Bubs is officially taking no chances with their remarks. “Hey, Y/N looks-” No. “Y/N, you should-” No. “Oh hey Y/N, you want-” No. He’s putting his big boy foot down, even if it’s on his family- he’s not letting anyone or anything mess with your recovery. You’re in this together!

🐓 Bubba immediately starts worrying that whatever long forgotten canned goods in the cupboards and cabinets aren’t well enough for you, so he'll sit you down and make a list of your favorite foods. The next few days Bubs spends pleading and whimpering and crying at Drayton’s feet until he finally goes grocery shopping- praise the saw

🐓 In their usual valiant attempts to be supportive, Chop Top and Nubbins add their own rather ridiculous requests to the shopping list so they too can protest with Bubba (Any reason for them to cause a ruckus is a good one)

🐓 Since you’re a part of the family now, you’re expected to uphold the “Sawyer clan values”.. That’s the phrase Drayton used in his speech to give you chores, anyway. The younger three always try to swap out their less exerting duties with you though, especially on the days which you feel excessively fatigued or worn out

🐓 Effectively, you have an entourage of caretakers! As much as Bubba would love to be physically attached to your side (he’s probably thought about it), he carries the bulk of the workload- meaning he’s stuck downstairs busy as a bee more often than not. Regardless, his brothers always manage to stay nearby and on the lookout for any signs of wooziness from you while you go about your chores

🐓 Now, with that considered, the boys know good as anyone that you don’t need to be babied. You get Drayton’s crap and Nubbins and Chop Top’s pranks just as much as everyone else- because you’re a part of them. You’re as strong as any Sawyer, and Bubba couldn’t be any more proud

Vincent Sinclair 🕯

🕯 A part of being Vincent’s S/O is being his muse- which is why he’s a tad shell shocked when you start tearing up at the sight of a drawing he’d made of you

🕯 Prior to this, Vincent had likely done plenty of stalking- at least enough for him to determine that you suffer from some sort of disorder. This was partially why he had mustered up his confidence and shown you his art in the first place- with hopes that it would help. Unfortunately, it had unplanned adverse effects. Vinny spends the next few hours feeling horribly guilty, and attempting to properly educate himself with your aid

🕯 Vincent reacts similarly to how Bubba does in regards to his brothers and their insensitivity. Lester’s quick to show understanding, but Bo .. well, is Bo, and takes longer to cut the jokes and respect your afflictions. It’s a rare occasion that Vincent makes his stance clear, so his brothers will both do their best to give you their support too

🕯 If you’re one to exercise a bit excessively, the boys will come together and make accommodations. Lester’s cleared out a small pathway around Ambrose for you to jog along, that passes by all the major buildings where they typically can be found. Bo is, without a doubt, the guy to have a workout room. You two can schedule times to spot each other and exercise there together. Vincent, in hopes to find less physically trying ways to get your fitness fix in, has dedicated a whole space just to you in the museum where you can try out yoga

🕯 Vincent’s picked up on how you silently struggle with your self image. Finding little wax trinkets on the sink counter in your bathroom is a common occurrence, as well as sticky notes plastered onto your mirror. The notes are short but sweet, written in Vinny’s trademark cursive, and usually compliment your eyes, hair, outfit, etc.

🕯 There isn’t exactly a whole bountiful list of things to keep yourself occupied with in Ambrose, and Vincent often worries about you not having any creative outlets of which you can take out your frustrations with. Knowing this, Lester came back from a roadkill run with one big word he’d heard from a passerby: aromatherapy. If you’re outdoorsy, try going into the woods and scavenging for any pleasant smelling flowers that grow nearby- Vincent will take them and, after some trial and error testing, turn them into scented candles

🕯 You getting sick is one of Vincent’s biggest concerns. He knows he’ll be too preoccupied with work to be able to properly care for you- meaning that it’s up to his brothers to nurse you for a majority of the day. It’s not quite as bad as he thinks, Bo and Lester mostly do a fine job of checking in on you, but you’d be lying if you said that they’re better than the extra cuddly and extra clingy Vincent you get once he’s home

🕯 Vinny is a huge cuddle bug on the down low. I HC that aside from all the psychological and mental struggles he faces, sleeping is difficult for him due to his injuries as well. If you have a hard time getting rest, you both will often lay in your shared bed, all wrapped up in one another long into the late hours of the night, and early on into the first morning lights

🕯 Whether it be surprising or not, Vinny has quite the wardrobe. It mostly consists of cozy earthy tones, with an excess of large musty sweaters tattered by, from what you could guess, is either wear or moths. Seeing as they’re somewhat loose on Vincent himself, his oversized sweaters drape over you heavily, and conceal your form. Once he notices you’ve taken a liking to a handful of them, Vincent will happily tailor them to better suit you- pinning up the baggiest areas that rub uncomfortably against your skin, while still leaving enough material to cover and alleviate some of your insecurities- if just for a while

🕯 In the event you get so cold that even your comfy sweaters can’t stop you from shivering, you’re more than welcome to go down to the basement and warm up with Vincent. While there’s a chilly draft all through the passageway, the combination of steam, lit candles, and open fires in his workshop make it just comfortably above room temperature
