Hi!

A friend of mine (aka that-kid-FromThePlayground) told me that you write for Steven Universe characters amazingly! So I'm here to request smth if that's okay ^^

What about platonic headcanons for Rose Quartz, Pearl, Rubi, Saphire and Garnet (sepparetly if it's possible) with an early teenager fem!pink pearl!reader (in between 11 and 14) who was abused by her owner and the gems didn't know that.

And one day she just breaks something and by seing the gem's disapointed or mad face she just breaks and falls to her knees asking for forgivenes and to not be punished in a very scared tone of voice.

(Yeah, my friend and I love angst as you can see '^^, mostly because it's our coping mecanism, and feel free to delete or ignore this ask if you're tired of angsty request)

GLIMPSES OF HER PAST (GEMS X F!READER/PLATONIC)

warnings: ptsd, mentions of abuse, i kinda filled this with my mommy issues (meh kinda but not really), mentions of “death”

reader was a gem they found poofed and trapped in some artifact and steven (or rose) freed her so now she lives with the gems, however she still hasn’t mentioned her past

sorry about the wait! i was just tying up some loose ends :/ but i’m back and better than ever hahaha

ROSE QUARTZ

- rose never pried into y/n’s past much she understood that as a pearl she was most likely unable to speak of her past owner as well

- so seeing her cowering on her knees in front of her just wrecked her

- as a diamond she was used to gems kneeling before her begging for their gems to be spared, but this was just on another level

- rose wasn’t even mad about it which is what surprised her the most

- while tears fall down y/n’s face rose just gently pulls her into a hug

- “shh. it’s okay. i won’t let anything happen to you, i promise.”

- rose had an inking about the true horrors of y/n’s last. she’d never speak to her about them in fear of upsetting the young gem

- however rose would protect her with everything she had

PEARL

- the shattering sound had interrupted her very long winded rant about sword technique

- when her head whipped around to see y/n she is quickly alerted before she even gets the chance to scold the gem

- y/n was shaking in her place before dropping to her knees and begging pearl for forgiveness

- pearl freezes not exactly knowing what to do

- “y/n, it’s just a vase.”

- when she hears her beg not to get shattered she stops in her tracks

- pearl lowers herself to the crying gems level and softens her face

- “i’m not mad. i promise. you’re okay y/n. everything is okay.”

- she almost wanted to cry seeing how genuinely terrified y/n was

- helps y/n clean up while gently reprimanding and comforting her

RUBY

- hotheaded as ever the shattering of glass caught ruby’s attention

- “just perfect! another thing i have to clean up!”

- she was already angry from a bad mission so her snapping was just her blowing off steam

- ruby quickly shuts up when she notices her crying softly

- y/n holds her gem defensively while begging not to get shattered

- ruby quickly burns out and starts to apologize

- “wha-what? no! i would never do that. i’m so sorry y/n. i was just overreacting!”

- tries her best to get y/n to calm down and it eventually works

- “geez kid what happened to you.”

SAPPHIRE

- despite how stoic she normally is y/n was still terrified of the gems still face

- the moment the vase breaks and sapphire turns around y/n immediately starts to panic

- breaks down in front of sapphire begging her not to get mad at her

- sapphire recoils slightly not seeing her react like that

- “y/n i had already foreseen it. it was an accident. i know that.”

- her reassurance does little for the gem who lets up on her crying only slightly

- sapphire tries to handle it as best she can without showing how worried she really was

- “i promise i’d never hurt you y/n. no one here would, but can you please tell me what happened to you before we found you?”

GARNET

- to say garnet didn't already for see the entire thing happening would be a lie

- yet she still couldn’t exactly find the right path to choose

- it wasn’t until the shattering of glass caught her attention

- y/n was already freaking out before she even said anything

- fat tears start to roll down her face as she begins to cry for mercy

- garnet simply walks forward and places her hand in her shoulder which freaks her out more and she cries harder

- “it is okay y/n. it was an inevitable, and mostly my mistake for not preventing it. please try and calm down.”

- garnet sits down on the floor with the crying gem and gently takes her hands

- “y/n please relax. you’re okay, i would never hurt you. and if you ever assumed i would i’m sorry for giving you that impression. just take a moment to breathe. i’m with you.”

- the motherly presence and love garnet had for the girl was so obvious and it did help her calm down

- garnet goes to get donuts with her :3

Hobie Brown (Across the Spider-Verse) X Garnet (Steven Universe)

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse & Steven Universe Crossover.

Summary: Hobie accidentally ends up in the Crystal Gem's dimension and meets Garnet. They immediately hit it off and talk about their similarities while on the beach. Steven ends up convincing Hobie to stay for a Sadie Killer and the Suspects concert. After performing with Sadie, Hobbie leaves through a portal after giving Garnet a kiss on the cheek. This creates feelings of jealousy in Ruby that sapphire must fix.

Garnet was taking a break from cleaning the beach of unearthly shards, staring at the sunset. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something was off. Something she could feel but couldn't see. She started digging up large pieces of metal, watching Steven get distracted by different seashells and stones. It was getting late, and they were trying to get as much work done while there was still daylight. Steven eventually convinced everyone to come inside and save the rest of the work for the morning. Steven was asleep and the other gems were off doing frivolous things on their own. Garnet was sitting on the couch, staring out the window. She was contemplating whether to fill Pearl and Amethyst in about the off feeling she had. As she rolled the idea around in her mind, she was a flash coming from outside; it was a portal.

She rushes outside to investigate the new gateway. She was on high alert. This was more than likely to be the reason she was feeling weird. Once she got close enough, she could see a figure standing in front of the portal. She armed herself and ran full speed ahead. They were too fast, jumping into the air before she could get to them. She was trying to see the future for him, but everything was blurry and she couldn't make it out. It was frustrating her, driving her crazy like an itch she couldn't scratch. She slams her fists onto the sand and lets out a scream before continuing to attack whoever this was. Suddenly, she saw a gleaming green light coming from the sand. She moves her focus from the being to the glow. She was confused about what it was, it looked like a watch but she was confused because of how bulky it was. Her first instinct was to smash it but she immediately took two things into consideration: One: she had no idea what the use of this device was and how detrimental this situation could get if it was destroyed. Two: she could use it as leverage to get information from this being.

"STOP!" the being yelled, his voice booming over the shore.

"OR WHAT?!" she yelled back, her voice carrying the same passion.

He was now standing about ten, maybe fifteen feet away from Garnet. The portal was closed leaving little to no light, all she could see was his figure. One of the first things she noticed was how lanky he was. He threw his guitar over his shoulder and put his arms up, slowly approaching.

"Is that an accent I hear?" he asked her.

"Was that you stalling?" she befuddled. He laughed and started getting closer.

"Are your intentions on this planet hostile?" Garnet asked.

"Only if you break my watch," he said, he was now only 5 feet away from her.

She was a bit taken back by his form. He had big hair like her, for how fast he was moving it didn't surprise her to see how skinny he was. He had spike cuffs on each arm with a matching choker around his neck. He looked like the men on Greg's band posters. Before she could react one of Hobie's webs flew past her and was attempting to take the gadget from her grasp. She held on as hard as she could without breaking the thing. This caused her feet to be dragged towards him through the sand, the sudden motion knocked Garnets glasses off. They were practically chest to chest, he seemed to be taken back as much as she was. They stood on the shore, making direct eye contact with each other. They both smirked at each other before all hell broke loose, Garnet smashed her armored fists against the sand. Hobie jumps into the air and uses a web trying to get ahold of his watch. She could tell he wasn't entirely human, solely based on the way he was fighting. He was so powerful yet controlled with his movements and combat, mortals on her earth weren't as.. articulated. They were going back and forth for a while, mostly doing each other's attacks.

"You should know that I take protecting planet Earth very seriously, anything it takes," Garnet said.

"Looks like we have a lot in common, I don't want to cause any problems on your bloody planet. I came here by accident. Just relax with the aggro," he said now with his mask on.

"How did you get here? I saw you come through a portal," Garnet said.

"It's a long story of love; not every song is meant to be sung. Not to mention the details are probably over your head, really crazy shit," he said.

"Walks on the beach were made for long stories. I am two gems with a body that is both light and matter. I've been alive for thousands of years and fought in a war against my home planet that took many of my allies' lives. Not much is over my head," she said while unarming her fists.

"Fair enough, that's pretty deep,” he said.

They started walking down the shore line, Hobie explained his powers and where he got them from. Explained what the Web-Watch was and how he could travel dimensions. They bonded over some of the trauma they had experienced while fighting for what’s right. She explained how on homeworld the fusion of two different gems was unheard of and how horrible the reactions were when she fused infront of people. Hobie compared it to how the police and media on his planet always villainize him even when all he does is help people. Garnet had been on Earth for so long that she forgot what it was like to be.. impressed and surprised by new people or things. Pearl, Amethyst and herself were usually the most unique people in the room. People were infatuated and entertained by how unpredictable and worldly they are. She was getting a taste of that from Hobie, it was nice having an interaction that she didn't know the outcome of. He asked her if she was British which made her laugh because she had never even been to England. Garnet began explaining what the crystal gems were and why they rebelled against the diamonds. Hobie commenced her and the gems on their bravery and gave condolences of their losses. It didn't take long for them to start comparing how similar they were. The accent, the hair, their need to stick it to the man. The fact that they were bathing was fighting a war that would cause more damage than repair. They were now just sitting in the sand, Hobie was talking about his plans if he woudln't have become spider-man. He wanted to tour and play shows but obviously that wasn't in the plan for a while. She understood how she felt completely, she would sometimes wonder what she would do if she had absolute freedom. If she didn't have to fight or protect anything or anyone. Wondering if the war she's fighting is worth what it took from and out of her. Hobie asked her about her gems and she explained what fusion was. He was in awe about this, talking about how it's similar to humans.

"You know, as humans grow and mature we take things from our past and use it to create the people we are today. Before I became Spider-Man, I was.. yeah a twat to put it bluntly. I didn't kill that person, he's still with me but now understands that he wasn't as good of a guy as he thought. Sometimes I even find myself almost making important decisions with that old mindset but it's like the newer me grabs his hand and leads him the right direction," he said as they looked up at the sunrise.

"You're a cool dude, Hobie Brown," Garnet said.

"You're a pretty fly bird Garnet," He said.

Steven eventually came out looking for Garnet. He was shocked by Hobbies presence but then started asking about his guitar and other pins that were on his clothes. He was then dragging him back to the house, specifically to show Hobie his dad vans and all his music. Garnet followed, watching as Hobie answered all Steven’s inquiries about his style and instrument. They were now sitting listening to Greg’s records which Hobie really liked, anything underground was Hobies scene.

“Can you stay for Sadie’s concert tonight? She is the lead singer of Sadie Killer and The Suspects. Maybe you could even perform, that would be so cool!” Steven said as he pulled out one of her CDs to sample.

“I don’t think he can stay Steven, he also has a version of Earth that needs his protection,” Garnet said.

“The only reason I’d stay was for a good show,” Hobie said, taking a bite of the pancakes that Steven made.

Everyone that met Hobie seemed to really like him, he was reserved yet polite. The show was going to start any minute, Sadie and her band were backstage tuning their instruments. Steven was running around last minute to make sure everything was taken care of. Pearl was hanging out with Amethyst leaving Garnet in the crowd with Hobie. They were making small talk about people in the crowd. Not in a negative way or anything, more like people watching. He was admiring how colorful everyone was, there wasn’t a single frown in the crowd. He was talking about how on his Earth everyone was so preoccupied with how they were preserved by strangers and how it showed in the way they act.

“Concerts on my Earth nowadays are more about taking pictures to prove you were there. Those wankers end up watching the entire performance through a screen. They probably wouldn’t be able to remember it if it weren't for the 100s of pictures on their phone. I can see the difference here though, people are more connected, I love to see it,” he said, shoving his hands into his pockets.

“There are still those types of people here, even more so on homeworld,” Garnet said.

“Well, I’m glad there aren’t too many of those people here,” he smiled.

The lights were now starting to go down, indicating that the band was about to start the event. Once the band came on stage, the crowd was going crazy. Even Garnet began swaying back and forth to the music, same as Hobie. After a couple songs Sadie called Hobie on stage and everyone was mesmerized with his preface. He was jumping around and swinging while playing guitar in perfect rhythm. Garnet was really enjoying watching his performance, Steven and Greg had shown her many genres of music and all the media that came along with it. Watching Hobie perform was different, she could never predict what he would do next and it created a feeling of suspense that Garent wasn’t used to. It was nice to see how much he enjoyed performing in his facial expressions. Sadie was dancing with him as they performed together, he crouched down real low so that they could both sing into the mic at the same time. Normally her band mates would be keeping the same serious look on their face but they were grinning ear to ear; matching Hobie’s energy. Hobie was having a great time too, it was nice to look into the crowd and see smiling faces instead of the flash from a cell phone. Once the song was over, Hobie swung from the stage and in front of Garnet who was at the back of the large crowd.

“See you around,” he said, giving her a peck on the cheek before opening a portal and leaving.

Suddenly Sapphire and Ruby were unfused, and Ruby was practically on fire. Safire was a bit confused but then realized it due to jealousy. Sapphire then ran after her, eventually catching up farther down the shore. Rubying was still fuming, breathing heavily with her arms crossed.

“I’m sorry Ruby. The reason I was so preoccupied with Hobie was because I couldn’t predict his future and wondering about it was making me blind to your feelings. That was wrong and I’m sorry,” Sapphire said, setting her hand on Ruby’s shoulder.

“I was just jealous because that’s how we used to be,” Ruby said, more sad than angry.

“Oh Ruby, I still feel that way about you. I think part of the reason he interested me was because he reminds me of you. I will always love you more than anything and if you don’t want anything to do with Hobbie we can tell him that if he ever comes back. I’m so sorry I made you feel this way Ruby, and I'm even more sorry for not noticing,” Sapphire said, wiping a tear from her eye.

“I love you too Sapphire, I’m glad we talked about this and I understand why you had so much interest in him. I would be lying if I said I didn’t think he was cool,” Ruby said, taking Sapphire into her arms, twirling around before fusion and making her way back to the concert.

A-Asking you out

-Nervous boy. He’s really scared. He gets all hyped up and ready, but then gets nervous when he’s actually about to do it.

-He was so happy when you said yes, he started to cheer, then getting embarrassed after, but you told him it was fine.

F-Flirting

-Let’s all agree right here, he can’t flirt. Even if his life depended on it.

-Sure, he’ll compliment you and TRY to flirt, but as soon as you start to flirt with him, he just can’t bring the words out of his mouth.

H-Hugging

-Let’s all agree right here right now Steven gives the best hugs. Literally he will stop everything he is doing just to hug you.

-He LOVES to surprise you with a hug from behind. He always does it and will never stop. But, he also loves giving you normal hugs, although, they feel like they always have a little bit more love in them.

K-Kissing

-Gives you the softest kisses ever! He’s so soft with you.

-He liked to kiss you almost anywhere! Especially on your face. His favorite spot to kiss you has got to be on the cheek. While he likes being kissed on the lips.

-He’ll do something called a “kiss attack”. It’s when he sneaks up on you and kisses you a lot. Almost like a tickle attack, just with kisses.

Q-Quaraling with each other

-Getting into heated arguments is rare, but it still happens. When Steven was going through all his trauma, and slowly started to get corrupted by it, he tended to fight with you a lot more.

-He had issues going on so he’d start to argue when you say something that provoked it or reminded him about it.

-He’s scary when he’s mad. Like really scary. And the pink makes it worse. Your cried before and had to stay away from him for a while…he hated that..but understood you needed space.

S-Spending the night over

-He was so nervous the first night he spent the night with you. He didn’t want anything to go wrong.

-For the first few times he’d clean somewhere near you, but not on your bed. No matter how many times you tell him he can sleep on your bed, he denies it, thinking that he’s not ready to do that.

-But after a while, you two do sleep in each others beds. He often comes to your place since the gems can be loud, especially amethyst. But you two do go to his house too.

What about some Hcs with Rose Quartz, Garnet, Lapis Lazuli y Peridot (sepparetly) reacting to a 13 year old fem!Gem!reader (who has very bad trust issues and avoids physical contact at all costs due to past trauma about being betrayed and puffed)

Coming to them crying after and tackling them into a hug them while rambling about how Amethist said that if she misbehawed Pearl was going to puff her (wich was obviosly a joke)

BAD JOKE HEADCANONS (GEMS X FEM! READER/PLATONIC)

warnings: mentions of poofing, ptsd

backstory: y/n is still a “new” gem only emerging from the ground about thirteen years prior to meeting the gems; however, almost all of that was spent in a bubble after being poorer by their original group of gems. some old homeworld loyalists that came to earth to hopefully “defeat” the crystal gems.

ROSE QUARTZ

- she feels SO bad

- rose was very patient with y/n after finding her so she knew about her boundaries and physical touch being a huge one

- so when she came up to her and just hugged her she knew something was wrong

- even if it was silly, she knew that y/n didn’t yet understand jokes and took everything quite literal

- comforts them by letting them cry and just being so understanding

- rose just wants y/n to know she’s safe with the crystal gems

- 10/10 very very comforting

GARNET

- y/n came running up to her while she was in the bubble room

- she knew it was serious because it was a place y/n tended to avoid because of what happened to her before they found her

- she just clings onto garnet crying about how amethyst told her pearl was going to poof her if she wasn’t a good crystal gem

- garnet seen it in a very unlikely reality so she was surprised that it actually happened

- garnet kneels down with y/n and just consoles her by petting her hair

- y/n can’t help but hold onto garnet for protection

- “amethyst was only joking. i predicted no real danger in your future. i understand your fear, but i assure you y/n. you are in no danger here.”

- ruby was a bit annoyed at amethyst as she knew fully well what you went through, but felt nothing wrong with her joke

- sapphire knew it was just a off handed comment to rile y/n up during a training session

LAPIS LAZULI

- while lapis wasn’t one for touch either, when y/n came barreling into her arms she knew something serious happened

- it wasn’t unlike her to not take things very seriously, but she could tell that y/n was terrified

- “hey, what happened?”

- she honestly doesn’t know how to react much

- when y/n explains it lapis was so annoyed at amethyst

- “don’t worry. pearl won’t do anything. amethyst is just being mean. don’t let her get to you.”

- “but why would she say that?”

- hearing y/n cry broke her heart tbh

- “who knows. amethyst is weird. just ignore her like i do, but if her or pearl do every try anything don’t hesitate to come to me. i won’t let them do anything i promise.”

- after all y/n was just a terrified gem like they once were

- convinced them to calm down by just continuously promising she was strong enough to protect both of them (which she definitely was)

- 9/10 a bit awkward at first but great after

PERIDOT

- peridot had no idea what was happening when y/n just straight tackled them while bawling her eyes out

- “uh did you know you’re crying?”

- “amethyst said pearl was going to poof me if i acted up or misbehaved! they promised me they were different! they all said they were nothing like the agates!”

- y/n cries while holding onto peridot

- she may be awkward, but she knew you were genuinely scared

- holds her slowly so she doesn’t flinch and let’s y/n cry

- “i’m sure that clod amethyst was just playing one of her pranks. she never does know when to stop. i mean, you know earth gems. they’re all so rowdy.”

- tries to console y/n as best she can

- “the pearl wouldn’t poof you. if anything she’d want to poof me. besides steven wouldn’t let that happen.”

- her awkward jokes and stiff touch kind of do cheer y/n up

- “why would amethyst say that though? that’s so mean!”

- “amethyst also eats dirt and old dumpster donuts. i wouldn’t worry about her too much. besides. us two are much more superior gems! she’s probably just jealous.”

- peri helps wipe her tears

- “y-yeah peridot. i guess you’re right.”

What if you were new to Beach City, and the first person you met was Pink Steven?

[Steven Universe x gn reader]

You’d be in Beach City on the hunt for a sense of self. Trying to figure out what and who you are, an identity. The unassuming small town would be the most perfect place to begin.

You’d be walking along the beach, pondering life in general, maybe what you would have for dinner when an almost 7ft glowing pink man would hurtle towards you.

He’d be making frustrated sounds as sand lifted with every step he took. Gripping his head, muttering nonsense. It was a simultaneously terrifying and intriguing at the same time.

You thought if this wasn’t a chance to make your life interesting, then what the hell was?

You’d wave a hand, calling out “Hey, you okay?” as he was about to barrel past. He’d slide to a halt, turning to look at you. “Who are you?” he’d question, tilting his head to the side.

You’d introduce yourself, he’d stomp closer, bending down to be at your eye level. His eyes would be wide and curious as they studied you. You’d notice the diamond shape pupil.

After the introductions, he would nervously apologise, explaining to you that he was just stressed out.

“You can talk to me if you need to Steven, I’ve got a free evening and an un-judgemental ear.” You’d affirm, sitting on the sand opposite him, idly scribbling nonsense.

He’d explain he’d had some past… issues, things he never worked through. He never went into detail about it but instead avoided eye contact.

You would both talk about your hobbies, where you came from, your families etc. Stevens mood would alter every now and then with his pink glow varying between it’s intensity.

Eventually he come to a soft dim glow, he’d turn, pulling you into a tight bear hug. You would feel him shrink around you back to what must be his normal size. His massive arms crushing you in their grip, huge hands splayed across your back. He would bury his face in the space between your face and shoulder. Taking a deep breath, he would breath you in.

“Thank you.”

You two met at the beach, no questions asked

You were just burying your dad in the sand, giggling happily as your dad slowly regretted his life choices

While the gems were not so far away. Amethyst was joking around with Steven while Pearl was desperately trying to find napkins in her bag, and Garnet was just chilling

When Pearl had finally found the napkins she quickly pulled them out if her bag and held them up proudly, but a strong ghust of wind blew the napkins away. Garnet just stood up and went to collect the napkins without another word

While your younger self was looking at your sand masterpiece, you suddenly had the bright idea to run around the beach to find seashells, and so you did

While you ran not that far away from where your dad was, not having enough braincells to look for seashells near the sea, a flying napkin decided to hit your face

You fell down on your butt and pulled the napkin off of your face. And you were shocked to see a woman standing in front of you

She just waved with an awkward smile as you stared at her in awe. You then giggled and stood up as you grabbed her hand and jumped up and down

Garnet looked at you with a confused expression but started to laugh along with you

Then the two of you decided to have a little chat and you explained that you needed seashells to fancy up your dad, or your dad's head

Garnet was more than happy to help you find seashells and so she took you near the sea. Every time a wave would arrive she would lift you up in the air as if you were flying and you would giggle

By the time you collected a good amount of seashells you completely forgot why you collected them in the first place. That is untill you heard your dad's cry's of help

You turned around to see a pelican standing hear him as he just screamed in fear. You giggled and ran towards him, waving goodbye to Garnet as she waved back

And from that point on, every time you'd see Garnet, either it be at the center or at the beach you would run to her nd hug her leg and Garnet was more than happy to hug you back

While the gems, Steven and your dad were all looking at you two with confused expressions although your dad was more panicked, they eventually got used to it

It wasn't any more than a slight interaction, that is untill your dad recognized Steven from somewhere and realized that he was friends with his dad (for the sake of the plot)

And when your dad did realize, you were with Garnet practically every second of the day. And you've gotta say, you do share some amazing memories with her

(I'm only giving one example)

Y/n sat on the couch, rocking back and forth as they impatiently waited for Garnet to return

Footsteps could be heard approaching the living room as Y/n looked towards the door, eventually seeing Garnet walk in with her hands behind her back

Y/n jumped up and down as they stared at Garnet. Garnet smiled warmly as she removed her hands from her back to see her holding three colouring books and a pack of crayon's

Y/n squealed in excitement as they towards her and hugged her leg

"Thank you so much mom!" They yelled, Garnet's heart practically melted t hearing the word 'mom' as she resisted the urge to cry then and there. She suqeazed everything into one hand as she picked you up with her now free one

"No problem." She smiled, kissing their forehead as Y/n let out fits of giggles. They then slowly started to walk towards the kitchen, colouring for the rest of the evening

Good memories indeed. Garnet totally doesn't replay them in her mind half of the time, no she doesn't yes she does

Garnet probably cried when she saw you slowly growing up, not being used to such 'fast growth' since Steven stayed the same
