lost and found - ezra bridger
Request: nope Pairing:  ezra bridger x jedi!reader Summary:  along with the remainder of the ghost crew and ahsoka, you're trying to find ezra Warnings:  HEAVY SPOILERS FOR AHSOKA S1!!! im warning u dont read this if u havent seen all of it yet Word count:  1.1K A/N: I survived the war (im posting fics again) but at what cost (brainrot has taken over)
your music is blaring through the speakers of your ship as you're working. though your ship isn't in need of any repairs, you're always finding new modifications and additions to upgrade it. at this rate, it's unrecognisable as the ship you once got from a sketchy dealer on an outer rim planet.
working on your ship is also a way to distract yourself. when you're focused on working with your hands, your mind doesn't wander off.
it doesn't wander off to hera and jacen aboard the ghost. it doesn't wander off to sabine and ahsoka on her T-6 shuttle. but mostly, it doesn't wander off to ezra. you try not to think about the fact hera is on an unauthorised mission, that you haven't heard from sabine and ahsoka in a while which is unlike them, and that you feel like you're not even a little bit closer to finding ezra.
even though you haven't seen him for years, you refuse to believe he's gone. you tell yourself you would simply know if he didn't make it. before you lost him, the two of you shared a strong bond in the force. you figured if something had happened to him, you would have felt it.
but after all of these years, it's hard to hold on to hope. you really want to. but at some point logic has to take over.
though recently, hope has sparked in you yet again. with the map ahsoka found, the chances of finding ezra have increased. you are optimistic again.
but the search hasn't been without danger. even now, you're worried.
which is why you're working on your ship. otherwise you'd just pace around or stare off into the distance with your mind running around in circles getting lost in the "what ifs".
a faint beeping sounds pulls you out of your thoughts. you get up from your position underneath one of the main consoles and get your comm.
'general syndulla for commander y/l/n.' comes hera's voice.
'go for commander y/l/n.' you say.
'hey y/n, where are you right now?'
'just working on my ship in the main hangar back on base.'
'new modifications again?'
'yeah, yeah, I know. "a good ship doesn't need modifications." well, I like them. the ghost could use some upgrades as well, you know.'
'no thank you, my ship is perfectly fine.'
you chuckle as you wipe your hands on your pants.
'have you heard from sabine and ahsoka yet?' you say. 'and when are you coming home from this unauthorised mission?'
'sabine and ahsoka are alright, we're actually on our way now. and we have some news regarding ezra.' says hera.
'you have news on ezra?' you say, unable to hide the relief in your voice. 'do you know how to find him? or where he is? is he okay?'
'we'll talk about it in person. we should be arriving soon.' says hera.
'I'll wait for you.'
'see you soon.'
hera disconnects her comm, leaving you alone with the music again. your mind is racing. they have news on ezra. you knew it, he's still out there somewhere. you're sure of it.
you quickly put the panel of the main console back and tidy up your tools. just as you pause your music and exit your ship, you see the ghost and ahsoka's T-6 shuttle getting closer to the hangar.
you anxiously await them, watching as they carefully land. the shuttle door opens and sabine and ahsoka come out of it.
sabine smiles as you half walk, half run up to them and pull them both into a hug.
'I'm so glad you guys are safe.' you say. 'it scared the shit out of me when I couldn't contact you.'
'we're alright.' says ahsoka, patting you on the back.
you pull back to look at them. they both look tired, but other than that they seem fine. sabine has a twinkle in her eyes and smile on her face.
'what is it?' you say. 'do you know something about ezra?'
'yeah.' says sabine. 'but hera should tell you.'
she points to the ghost, where hera has just exited the ship. jacen follows her, but is looking over his shoulder and talking to someone. at first, you assume it's merely chopper.
but as they walk further down, you see it's not chopper at all. it's a young man. he's wearing colourful robes and has a beard and curly hair.
it doesn't matter he's older than he is in your memories. it doesn't matter he still has the same eyes and the same scar on his cheek. it doesn't matter something in the force tugs on you so strongly, as if it has found its home.
none of it matters, because you would know him anywhere, in any universe, no matter who you are.
ezra. your ezra. talking with jacen as if nothing had ever happened. he's here, he's alive.
a sob escapes your mouth as you take off.
'ezra!' you yell.
you don't even bother to hide the tears as they stream down your cheeks. after all this time, he's finally here.
for a brief second you see his smile before you crash into him. you wrap your arms around his neck and bury your face in his neck, holding him impossibly close. you're never going to let him go.
words fail you as you just cry into his shoulder.
you feel ezra's arms around your back and get lost in the feeling. it's all so painfully familiar, as if no time had passed at all. yet you know everything has happened since the last time you saw him.
you slightly pull away to look at him.
ezra is smiling at you just like he did all those years ago. though he's older, he's still the same. still the same kid you met on the streets of lothal.
you reach out and brush a finger over the scar on his cheek.
'you're here.' you say breathlessly.
'I am.' he says.
you'd heard his voice in your dreams and memories and the recording sabine still has. but this is different. it means everything and more to you.
'you're as beautiful as the day I lost you.' you whisper.
'I dreamed of this day.' says ezra. 'thought about all the things I would say to you. it all seemed so simple. but now? I have no idea. nothing seems like the right thing to say.'
'but it is simple.' you say. 'I love you.'
ezra smiles even brighter. 'I love you too.' he says. 'I always knew I would see you again. we have a lot of catching up to do.'
you smile as ezra leans in and kisses your forehead. you'd finally found each other again.

Love me again
Ezra Bridger x fem!Jedi!reader
Word count:2.1k
Warnings: !SPOILERS! for Ahsoka Ep. 6, minor injuries, canon typical violence, you can maybe notice that I was a bit pissed at Sabine-
Summary:After being knocked out by Baylan Skoll, you regain your senses on his ship as a prisoner on your way to find Ezra…and Thrawn
Part I (you are here), Part II
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Ezra…please, don´t go”
“We will see each other again, I promise.”
“Ezra…”
“I love you, Y/N”
Your head was pounding, as you slowly came back to your senses. Memories of conversations long ago haunting your dreams and making you want to wake up again.
“Ezra…”, you mumbled, as your eyes slowly opened, the world before you still blurry.
“Easy there, you hit your head pretty hard”
As you finally managed to gain your full consciousness again, you realized that the person in front of you, very much wasn´t Ezra. It was Sabine. You looked at her with confusion written all over your face, as you slowly sat up.
“Sabine? Where are we?”, you mumbled, taking in your surroundings. It looked like you were in a small prison cell. Only a bench adorned the dimly lit room. Taking another look at Sabine, only confirmed your suspicion.
“We were captured.”, Sabine finally said, after a few moments of silence, “By Baylan. We are currently on the way to the place where Ezra is.”
“And Thrawn.”, you mumbled to yourself, as bits and pieces of what had happened on Arcana came back to you…
Fear filled your eyes, as you arrived at the battleground. Ahsoka was fiercely fighting Baylan Skoll, trying to obtain the map.
“Ahsoka!”, you yelled, as you grabbed your own lightsaber, joining in to the battle.
Just in time, you jumped forward, preventing Ahsoka from being cut in half and pushing Baylan back a few inches.
“Get the map!”, Ahsoka instructed and you nodded at her, ready to sprint towards the small orb, but before you could reach it, a blazing red blade appeared right in front of you, blocking your path.
“Not so fast”, Baylan mumbled, preparing to strike, but you managed to block him beforehand. Your lightsabers colliding in an explosion of colors, as your green blade pushed against his red one. And those few moments were already enough for Ahsoka to lunge forward and grab the map. A scream of pain left her lips, as the glowing orb burned her skin and she dropped it to the floor.
Momentarily distracted by your companions' actions, Baylan managed to push you back. You only had seconds to react, but you were too slow. You felt the burning pain in your hand, as Bayllan hit you with his lightsaber, causing you to drop your own. You looked up at him, thinking that he would kill you right then and there. But instead of impaling you, he used the force to send you flying against one of the gigantic stone pillars, knocking you unconscious almost immediately.
You heard Ahsoka yell your name, but what happened afterwards was not known to you.
“Where is Ahsoka?”, you finally asked, after a few minutes of thinking. Sabine looked at you with sorrow in her eyes:”She…She was fighting Baylan, when I arrived, but he knocked her over the edge of the cliff. I don´t know if she's alive or not.”
“And then what?!”, you pressed, trying not to think about the possibility of Ahsoka being dead,”Did you just give them the map and left her behind?”
“I had no choice!”; she tried to defend herself, walking up and down the small room, even if that were only a few steps.
“I thought she was dead! You were laying there, also possibly dead. I was alone and this was the only way to ever see Ezra again!”, she explained, finally looking at you, still sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall.
“Sabine…”, you began, taking a slow breath in,”Believe me, out of all people that you know, I am probably the only one who understands how much you want to see Ezra again, but preventing Thrawn from returning to our galaxy is more important. We can´t let him start another war. That's not what Ezra wanted. He made this sacrifice, so that Thrawn would forever be exiled and now, we have to make sure, it stays that way.”
Before Sabine could say anything, the door to your prison cell opened and two Storm Troopers entered.
“Time to get up!”, one of them said sternly, as he grabbed your arm, harshly pulling you to your feet, while the other grabbed Sabine.
It took you a few seconds to gain your footing, the blunt force that had caused your knockout on Arcana still affecting you. As the Trooper realized you were struggling to stand, he pushed you forward, causing you to stumble to the ground again.
“Get going already!”, he yelled, as you slowly stood up again.
“Hey, she's injured!”Sabine yelled, but the Troopers ignored her. As you were finally standing on your feet again, the Trooper grabbed your arm again and they both started escorting you and Sabine out of the prison cell.
After a few minutes of walking in silence, you finally reached your destination. You couldn`t believe your eyes, as you took in what was in front of you.
Grand Admiral Thrawn himself was standing there, waiting for you and Sabine. He looked exactly like you remembered him. His red eyes bored into your skull, as he looked you both up and down.
“Sabine Wren”, he said, as you came to a halt in front of him,”And Y/N L/N”
“Thrawn…”, Sabine said quietly, looking at him with the same disgust in her eyes, as he held for her.
“What a delight it is after so long to see familiar faces.”, Thrawn continued, not one ounce of emotion in his voice,”I understand it is you I have to thank for my escape from exile.”
“Where is Ezra?”, you finally spoke, ignoring his question entirely.
“Ah yes.”, he smiled, looking down at you,”The desire to be reunited with your long lost Lover…”, he briefly turned around to Sabine,”...and Friend.”
He paused, looking to the ground for a second:”How that singular focus will reshape our galaxy.”
“Just answer the question.”,Sabine interrupted him, anger lacing her voice.
“No need for hostility.”, Thrawn smiled, as calm as someone who was about to start a new war, had ever talked.
“I´m aware of your agreement with Baylan Skoll, and I intend to honor it.”, Thrawn continued to explain as he turned away from you. You eyed Sabine from the side, as she had never told you about any agreement.
You watched how a Storm Trooper with a patchwork armor of white and gold walked over to you, taking off your cuffs.
“You shall have provisions, a mount, and our latest intel on Bridger´s whereabouts.”,Thrawn revealed.
You furrowed your brows in confusion:”So, that's it? You´re just gonna let us walk out of here?”
“You two helped my cause. Now I shall help you.”, Thrawn explained with a little bow of his head,”You should know, though, that once my starship departs, you´ll be stranded here forever. It's also quite possible that your friend…is dead.”
You shook your head, a sarcastic grin lacing your features. You knew that he had to be up to something. He would never just let you walk out of there.
“If you survived, I'm sure he's doing just fine.”, Sabine suddenly said, her voice sounding like venom.
Thrawn seemed to be agitated by her statement and stepped towards her concerningly slowly:”You have gambled the fate of your galaxy on that belief.”
“You wouldn't understand.”, Sabine countered, staring up at Thrawn with nothing but hate in her eyes.
Even though you knew what she meant, you couldn't help but agree with Thrawn. You had to find Ezra now or else, everything would be lost. You needed to turn this battle to your favor or the galaxy would fall into darkness.
After a few seconds of silence, Thrawn looked over to you, inspecting your face for any signs of disagreement, but you didn't let him see your concerns, so he finally looked back at Sabine:”Perhaps not.”
“We'd rather not waste anymore time.”, you interrupted their little conversation,”What kind of ride you got around here?”
After being given back your belongings, you were escorted to your ride. Much to your and Sabine´s dismay, it wasn't a speeder, but a domesticated creature called Howler. It apparently went by the name Tota.
You looked at the creature for a few seconds before stepping forward and petting it´s snout. Tota happily licked your hand in response.
“You're injured. You ride.”, Sabine said, patting your shoulder, leaving no room for protest. You only nodded and mounted the Howler, as Sabine grabbed the leash.
“Be warned”, One of the Troopers instructed,”Nomads wander this wasteland and prey upon each other for survival. Here are your weapons.”
He first handed Sabine her two blasters and then her lightsaber, before walking over to you. The man pulled out your lightsaber and you were relieved to see that it was still intact.
He stepped back, ready for your departure:”Die well.”
You eyed him for a second before turning around, as the door in front of you opened. Sabine led the Howler outside and the doors closed behind you. Now, you were on your own.
Tumblr media
To say that your ride through this wasteland was eventful, would be an understatement. You were out for maybe an hour or two, as you were attacked by those nomads the Trooper had warned you about. Much to your dismay, Tota jumped in panic and threw you off before running away.
Luckily, You and Sabine had managed to defeat the attackers, before  anything worse could happen. It also didn't take you long to find the Howler again. Sabine was heavily against taking him with you again, but after a bit of convincing, she accepted him and you continued your journey.
Which led you to where you were right now. Following a small creature you had encountered, hoping they would lead you to Ezra, even though you didn't understand a word they said.
You had grabbed Tota´s leash firmly, to keep them away from the small creatures.
“It's alright, Tota.”, you mumbled, staying back a bit to calm the Howler down. You smiled as one of the people gave you an unknown fruit. You took it, thanking them before trying to feed Tota with it. They smelled it first, before finally taking a bite, judging that it was tasty.
Your eyes widened as you were led to a village. You saw lots of small tents, at least a hundred people running around doing Maker knows what, but most of them were looking at you curiously, as you entered their home.
“I knew I could count on you.”
Your Head shot up as you heard his voice. A few meters in front of You, Sabine turned towards a small hut, presumingly staring at a Person you couldn't see from where you were standing. You watched how a smile unfolded on Sabine´s face before she stepped forward.
And so did Ezra.
You only took in his form as they started conversing. He was much taller now, his long hair hanging around his face, that was adorned by a beard. You watched how the two of them hugged each other,  you finally decided to step away from Tota and closer to them.
“Ezra?”, You said quietly, your voice trembling, as his eyes finally landed on your form. The smile on his face dropped, as seriousness that you never seen on him before, took over.
“Y/N.”, he mumbled and only seconds later, he ran towards you, engulfing you in his arms.
“It's really you!”, You exclaimed, tears in your eyes as you wrapped your arms around him. Ezra happily lifted off your feet, spinning you around.
“It's really me!”, he smiled, as he let you to the ground again. You looked up at the boy you loved. He had grown into a man. You smiled as your hand cupped his cheek. He immediately leaned into your touch, closing his eyes.
“Maker, I missed you so much.”, he mumbled, putting his hand on top of yours.
“I missed you too.”, You smiled and looked into his eyes. His appearance might have changed, but his eyes were still the ones you fell in love with.
“I'm gonna kiss you now”, Ezra muttered and you only nodded, before his lips collided with yours. And that's when you finally felt the relief of having him back again. His beard tickled against your skin, as he poured all his emotion into the kiss and you felt connected to him even through the force.
You were gasping for air, as you finally parted again. A soft smile now adorned Ezra´s face and he leaned forward to give you another kiss on the forehead.
“I love you, Y/N”, he said firmly. And this time, you got to reply to him. Finally, after all this time.
“I love you too, Ezra.”

summary: when ezra overhears sabine reciting a mandalorian custom, ezra regrets all the years he's missed out on. word count: 1K a/n: i came up with this fic during my mando'a studies. my goal is to someday write an entire fic in mando'a, complete with a work skin that'll include a mando'an font. that dream is still many years off though, but until then, here's a fic inspired by a little bit of manda-lore i've learned!   taglist:@laughingphoenixleader @accidental-spice @kanerallels @piraterefrigerator @jedi-nurse @dootchster @lucasbridger @redroverrider @light-umbra @commander-tech {if you’d like to be added to or removed from my Sabezra taglist, let me know!}
also on ao3!
Here For You Now
It took Ezra a moment to figure out why he'd fallen asleep on the floor, less than a foot away from his bed. He would've totally assumed that he'd fallen off the bed in his sleep again (it was less than a foot's drop; he'd slept through it before,) but the pile of blankets underneath him told him this was definitely intentional. He couldn't quite piece together why he would've done something like this though— until he heard a murmured whisper coming from the bed, a voice he almost thought he was just imagining again, until he remembered that yesterday was the day he'd spent over a decade waiting for.
 Sabine had found him.
And, since his trailer offered little in the way of comfort, he'd let Sabine take the bed and offered to sleep on the floor instead. Good hospitality, he'd called it, something he'd learned well from the Noti, and also a way to say "thank you" for coming all this way just to bring him home. (And in actuality, he'd never make his favorite person in this [and any] galaxy sleep on the floor— and also he knew he'd irreversibly stumble over his words if he suggested they try to share the bed.)
But despite being on the floor and definitely sore from it, it was one of the best wakeups he'd had in years— certainly the one that ushered in the most hope along with it.
Though he'd never lost faith in Sabine, hope had been in short supply the past year or so— that is, until yesterday, when the Noti had told him that they found a girl ("your girl," their language put it, and he was too ecstatic to disagree) and she'd come to the camp looking for him. He'd never thought she'd looked more beautiful than she did when she saw him, and gave him a smile that conveyed the same genuine joy and total disbelief he was feeling.
And now he woke up knowing she was here, and it wasn't another stupid dream about her return: she was on Perida, actually with him, quietly chanting something in Mando'a.
"Ni su'cuyi gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum."
Ezra wasn't sure what she was mumbling about, but it felt almost like some kind of meditation, or a prayer. His interest was piqued when he heard the next two words, and he looked up to see her sitting cross legged with her eyes closed.
"Kanan Jarrus. Ursa Wren. Alrich Wren. Tristan Wren. Ahsoka Tano. Ni su'cuyi gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum."
Sabine sighed, and there was a moment of silence.
"What's that?" Ezra asked, once he was sure she'd finished.
"Ah-wha?" Sabine started, apparently not having known Ezra was even awake "it's nothing. Just an old Mandalorian tradition. I didn't mean to wake you up. Did you sleep alright?"
"What kind of old Mandalorian tradition?" Ezra asked, completely disregarding her attempts to divert the conversation.
 "Nothing," Sabine shook her head.
"Didn't seem like nothing to you."
"Well, it's nothing that matters to you," Sabine said.
"Everything you…" Ezra stopped mid-sentence, knowing that if he said "everything you say maters to me," she might start to think he had feelings for her— which he did, but he was pretty sure she still didn't feel the same way, and he didn't want to run the risk of scaring off his only ride back home. So, he switched trains of thought.
"You mentioned Kanan," Ezra shook his head.
Sabine looked at him, and in her eyes he saw the softness and pain she was trying all too well to hide. He smiled slightly, nodded slightly, raised his eyebrows slightly, tried to remind her with merely a look that her secrets were safe with him.
 Sabine sighed.
"It's a remembrance," she offered, "'I am alive, but you are dead.'" she shook her head as she choked out the words, "'I remember you, so you are eternal.'"
Ezra smiled a little at the sentiment, at keeping the memory of someone alive long after they're gone— but then he realized that the names of her family were included in that list.
"You mentioned your family too," Ezra said, quietly, "Are they…?"
 Sabine nodded, "they're gone."
 "And Ahsoka?"
"I think so," she said, the words petering out as a single breath.
Ezra thought he saw a tear trickle down her cheek as she looked away from him. He didn't fight the urge to climb up onto the bed next to her and wrap an arm around her for comfort. He realized after he did so that he'd taken a gamble, and she was likely to be annoyed by his attempt to comfort her, so he was surprised when, instead of twisting away from him, she actually leaned closer, accepting the shoulder he gave her to cry on.
"I'm so sorry, Sabine," Ezra whispered, with no idea what other words he could even offer.
"There's nothing you could've done," Sabine said, "there's nothing anyone could've done."
Ezra remembered thinking the same thing when the empire took his parents, that there was nothing anyone could've done to help him— but that didn't mean he didn't want anyone to.
"I could've been there for you," Ezra shook his head, "I should've been there for you. Kriff, I've missed out on so much."
Sabine lifted her head off his shoulder and looked up at him.
"But I am here for you now," Ezra said, letting go of her and resting his hand on the bed behind her, "if you wanna talk about it at all."
Sabine shook her head and looked away.
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Alright," Ezra nodded, "is there anything I can do?"
"Could you just sit here with me?" Sabine asked.
 "Absolutely," Ezra smiled.
They treasured a moment's silence, before Sabine leaned a little closer, resting her head on his arm again. She glanced up at him as a smile crossed his face, and he rested his head on top of hers.
Maybe he hadn't been there for her for the last few years. Maybe there were a lot of moments she'd needed him that he missed out on.
But this moment? It wasn't going to be one of them— he was here for her now, and that's what mattered.
And he wasn't going to stop being there for her ever again.

The Training Facility
Luke Skywalker x Ezra Bridger
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Luke Skywalker has never been good at making friends. Until he meets Ezra Bridger.
WORD COUNT: 1.07k
Tumblr media
Luke swung his padawan braid behind him, still getting used to the odd feeling of the tail-like braid against his neck. Today was finally the day that his parents let him and his sister take the next step in force training. Not that Anakin needed as much convincing then Padme, forever concerned about the well-being of her reckless children - and husband. In Luke’s defence, Leia was more the type to go ahead and do something rash, but his sister had the impressive ability to manage to drag Luke into trouble.
Speaking of Leia, she was striving ahead, ready to meet up with her new Master and the twin's toygrota Aunt, Ahsoka Tano, for her first taste of training. Ahsoka was the perfect master for Leia, both similar in personality and lightsaber formations. The council was wary, at first, of having people close to the twins become their mentors. The idea that the Jedi were now allowed to have attachments - healthy attachments - was still new, only changing once Luke’s father managed to get the upper hand on the hidden Sith Lord, Palpatine, and revealed his secret relationship with Luke’s mother, Senator Padme Amidala. However, the council eventually caved, not allowing Anakin to train his children but the two Jedi closest to him. Aunt Ahsoka and Uncle Obi-Wan. The latter decided to take things slower with Luke than Ahsoka is with Leia, tasking him with the difficulty of getting to know the other Padawans in the order.
It’s not that Luke didn’t necessarily know the other Jedi his age. He often prefered to spend his time in the library or fixing droids with his father or shadowing his mother as newly-elected Chancellor. It was much easier than making new friends for himself - most people he knew were through his sister, always the opposite. Thus here he was, in the midst of the training room. No library, no father, no mother, no master, no sister to help him break the ice.
Fifteen years old and absolutely no socialising skills. Luke was sure that Jedi needed to know how to talk to the general public during missions.
Luckily for Luke, he didn’t have to make much of an effort. The slow buzz of the safety-first training lightsabers provided a nice amount of background noise that Luke didn't have to zone in on any particular conversation. Luke settled on watching a battle between two Padawans he was sure he vaguely recognized.
The fight didn’t last long, one of the two boys clearly had the upper hand, his blueberry-like hair matching those from the planet Lothal. Luke remembered a trip there he had taken with his mother a few years ago - a diplomatic mission that the council had approved the twins to go on. A learning experience, as Padme so kindly put it. Luke was lucky his mother was so skilled at debate.
The boy had a green lightsaber, the same colour as Luke’s own weapon. He used a skilled strategy to gain the upper hand, tripping the other boy over, lightsaber discarded. Luke couldn’t help but wonder which Jedi Knight was this Padawan’s master. If anyone, Luke assumed they would be friends with Luke’s father - the strategy displayed seemed like something that would appeal to Anakin Skywalker. It was especially similar to Luke and Leia’s secret sessions with him - yet another secret from the council, of course.
‘’Like what you see?’’
Luke looked up, startled at being interrupted from his thoughts. It was the boy with the blueberry hair, who sat facing him. A small smirk was building on his face.
‘’I was only trying to figure out where I’ve seen that fighting style before. I can’t place it’’ Luke replied, trying not to make eye contact. He almost wished he spent more time around his peers. He couldn’t imagine Leia ever slipping up on a face. She had this uncanny ability to remember obscure details about people. However annoying it seemed to Luke over the years, it felt very useful now.
‘’Probably from my master. Caleb Dume.’’ The boy said, spinning his deactivated lightsaber around his fingers and tossing it in the air. Luke was glad for something to focus on other than the boys piercing eyes. ‘’I know you.’’
‘’Everyone seems to, unfortunately’’. Being the son of the famed star-crossed lovers of the republic came with a lot of unprecedented recognition. It’s not that Luke hated it, but it always seemed to be the case that a lot more people knew Luke than Luke knew them. He was always afraid of accidentally forgetting the name of some senator who knew his mother and making a fool of himself. ‘’Caleb Dume? I know him, he is friends with my Aunt- well, my sister's master, Ahsoka Tano. You know, that makes a lot of sense. I think I remember Leia mentioning you, you're-’
‘Ezra Bridger’
‘‘Right.’’ Luke didn’t think he should mention that Leia had once gone on a rant to him about Ezra’s fighting style - ‘unpredictable and absolutely no formation’. Luke also didn’t think he should tell Ezra that he had defended him to his sister - ‘But isn’t that a smart move, enemies can pick up the Jedi moves. Somehow, Luke didn’t think that was a good conversation starter.
‘’Your sister? Leia Skywalker right?’’ Ezra continued. ‘’How come I never see you around? I almost thought Leia was completely making up this twin brother of hers.’’
Luke smiled at the idea of Leia telling stories about her and Luke. Hopefully, it’ll make it easier to bridge the gap between himself and the other kids here.
‘’I guess I don’t get out too much.’’ Luke chuckled. ‘’I am not very good at making friends without Leia around.’’
Ezra raised his eyebrows, standing up with another spin of his lightsaber. ‘’Oh really, what do you think just happened? Come on, lets duel.’’ He held out his hand expectantly.
Luke frowned. That was… surprisingly easy? Ezra seemed to easy going, ready to talk to anyone. It was almost comical, the way he was the exact opposite of Luke. Then, the feeling of relief washed over him. Luke could tell Uncle Obi-Wan all about this encounter. His careful Uncle may let him take further steps in his training now. Well, what was even better than pleasing Obi-Wan was having someone to talk to in the training room. Luke may even end up enjoying going down to the recreational Padawan areas.
Luke took Ezra’s hand.

“Hello, Spectre-6, come in. Uh, do you read? This is Commander Meiloorun.”
Ezra and I look at each other, then to the inquisitors. I’m afraid to answer the call. What if they don’t allow it? What if they attack us for making a move? As these thoughts are running rampant through my mind, the inquisitor gives me the okay to respond to the incoming message.
“Uh, Commander Meiloorun. Yes. Yes, I can hear you.”
“You missed your check-in. Am I correct in assuming mechanical difficulties have your craft stranded again, and you’re in need of help with repairs.”
I didn’t think I could possibly be anymore afraid than I already was, but hearing Zeb’s voice just proved me wrong. If I tell him the truth, the Inquisitors will capture him too, and I would never be able to live with myself if they killed Zeb. But the Lady Inquisitor had other plans.
“Answer him.”
“Commander, we, uh, we can handle everything. No need for you or the others.”
Before I could even think, I was forced to my feet and a bright light flashed before my eyes in a red blur. I’m gonna die is what is running through my mind as the lightsaber is held to my chest.
“Answer him.”
I see the fear on Ezra’s face. I know exactly what he is thinking. All I can do is pray that he won’t be foolish enough to think that bringing Zeb here will turn out well, but even that is a hopeless endeavor because time is up.
The Lady Inquisitor gives a nod to the Inquisitor holding me. What does that mean is the last thought that goes through my head as a searing pain burns through my shirt into my chest. The air fills with the sounds of my screams, the pain to much to bare.
“What do you want from us?!”
“I don’t know how to make it anymore obvious young Bridger. Contact your friends!”
“Ezra, don’t do…” is all I am able to make out as I continue to scream. I can feel my legs giving out on me as the pain continues to grow.
“No Commander! We changed our mind! We could use some hel”… is all I manage to catch Ezra say before finally blacking out.
In the Phantom
“Sabine… Sabine wake up.”
Somewhere in the back of my mind I can hear Ezra trying to wake me, but my eyelids are so heavy, and the pain is still intense. After what felt like hours, I somehow managed to open my eyes only to see Ezra’s panicked face looking down on me. That’s when I realize I’m laying in his lap.
“Sabine I’m so sorry. I should’ve just told them. Then maybe… maybe they wouldn’t have…”
“It’s okay Ezra. You did what you had to do.”
I try to look down at my chest to see the damage, but it only causes intense pain all over again. I can’t help but begin to cry in pain.
“Hey! Hey! Sabine, you’re okay. Maybe let’s not do that.”
“How bad does it look?” I manage to croak out.
“Ehh… It’s… it’s not… we’ll get you cleaned up when we get back to base. Why don’t you just sleep until then.”
“Okay…” is all I can get out before drifting off to sleep. I’m just glad that my family is okay, and that I’m headed home.

Caleb should have listened to Obi-Wan. He really should have listened to Obi-Wan.
for the ask game!!!!!!!
EEEHEHEHEE okay okay so this is part of Follow The Silver Wolves, a no-O66 oneshot that I am also calling Let's Give Sabezra Their Own Year On The Run, Shall We?
For a little context: this part (aka... one of the only parts I have written XD) is right after a narrow escape, where Knight Dume, Padawan Bridger, and the Vicountess Sabine Wren are hiding in a cave. Long story short, Plot-Mandated Mid-Escape Puddle Mishaps combined with a Conveniently Located Thermal Pool ended with both kids having a heart-to-heart while rinsing mud out of their hair, and then...
---
Caleb rolled his eyes as he strode back inside, holodisc in hand. “Honestly, Master Kenobi. You can stop worrying. The last time I saw Ezra and the Vicountess, she was ready to tear his throat out and he wasn’t far behind. So I guarantee you, whatever past experience you have with Jedi-Mandalorian pairs on the run for their lives, these two are absolutely not—”
He stopped in his tracks, staring into the cave, then huffed.
“—kissing in a hot spring. I’ll call you back.”
He hung up and waited, but apparently Ezra was too distracted to notice the bantha in the room—or, more accurately, the Jedi Master in the cave. So Caleb snatched up a pebble with the Force and tossed it at his Padawan’s head.
“Ow! Hey, what was—MASTER?!”
Both kids splashed apart, red-faced. Caleb crossed his arms. “You two wanna explain?”
The Viscountess glanced at Ezra, then looked up at Caleb.
“No, sir.”
“Nope,” Ezra seconded.
“Uh-uh.”
“Not at all.”
“Never in a million years.”
“Just forget you saw anything.”
“Please.”
“Hey, was that your girlfriend you were talking to?” Ezra demanded cheekily, obviously trying to change the subject.
Caleb scowled at his Padawan. “You’re not one to talk, kid.”
“Sure I am.”
“Yeah, he never shuts up,” the Viscountess added.
“Well, for your information,” Caleb said flatly. “That was actually Master Kenobi. He wanted to know how the mission was going.”
“Pretty great, if you ask me,” Ezra grinned, and she punched his arm.

A good Feeling
Ezra Bridger x fem!Jedi!reader Part II
Word count:2.9k
Warnings: !SPOILERS! for Ahsoka Ep. 7, minor injuries, canon typical violence
Summary:After finally seeing Ezra again, You barely have Time to celebrate, as Thrawn and his goons are still hot on your tail…
A/N: Decided to make this into a series, so here is Part II :)
Part I , Part II (you are here)
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Merely a day had passed, since You and Sabine arrived on Peridea. The sky was still tinted in a cold gray and the landscape looked exactly as uninviting as before. The only thing alive seemed to be the small tribe of hermits that had led you to Ezra.
Speaking of the young Jedi, he had decided that it would be safer to get moving again and so you were back on Tota the Howler, protecting the little flock from the back, while Ezra and Sabine lead them upfront.
You watched from afar, how the two of them talked. Sabine was probably catching Ezra up on what had happened in the last ten years. You were happy to see the two of them talking so freely again.
While the first few hours after your arrival were filled with hugs and small kisses between You and Ezra, you had realized that him and Sabine deserved some time to talk alone too. They had known each other much longer and were like Siblings to each other.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a strange feeling that spread within you. A feeling of dread and restlessness. You turned around for a second, looking out for something. Anything, that might have caused this feeling.
And then it was gone.
And a new feeling arose. A familiar feeling. The presence of a person. A Person close to you. You let your eyes flutter shut and concentrated on that feeling, pulling it closer and closer, until it felt like you could almost stretch out your hand and touch it. And then, all of a sudden, you heard it loud and clear. Saw it before your inner eye.Felt the fabric of her clothes under your touch. Her smell that you had known so well from combating against her.
It was Ahsoka. She was calling out to you and Sabine.
Immediately, you grabbed the leash of the Howler tighter, making your way towards Ezra and Sabine.
“You felt it too, didn't you?”, You asked, upon reaching the two. Ezra only gave you a confused glance, but Sabine nodded.
“It was Ahsoka.”, she said plainly, “She's alive.”
You couldn't help the grin that spread over your face. Ahsoka was alive and she was on her way to you.
You didn't have time to answer, as the small shuttles of the Noti surrounding you suddenly came to a halt and several of the small hermits pointed towards the hill, located in front of you. You followed their gaze and spotted two small figures standing on top of said hill. Upon seeing the two of them, the feeling of dread you had felt earlier returned.
“They have been following us.”, You said, looking over to Ezra and Sabine.
“Friends of Yours?”, Ezra asked, looking back and forth between Sabine and You.
“No.”, Sabine said coldly and you couldn't agree more with her. You weren't exactly keen on facing Baylan and Shin again, after how your last fight with them ended.
You watched how Ezra slowly turned his shuttle around, directing the flock the other way, away from Baylan and Shin. You followed close behind, but had your eyes still on the two Sith standing on the hill.
“We're having company”, you yelled, as the flock gained speed again. But it was useless. Shin and her group of murderous nomads were close on your heels.
You watched as Sabine grabbed both of her blasters and started shooting at the nomads. You nodded at her and let yourself fall back, as you grabbed your lightsaber to deflect the enemy fire.
While you were busy protecting the Noti shuttles, you saw from the corner of your eye how one of the Nomads was closing his distance towards you.
“You gotta stay real still for me, okay Tota?”,You mumbled to your Howler, as you let the leash fall out of your hands. You continued acting like you didn't notice the nomad sneaking up on you, but when he was about to attack you, you quickly jumped up, aiming your lightsaber at him.
Merely a second later, you landed securely on the back of the howler where the nomad had been sitting just a few seconds ago. But he was now laying on the soft grass behind you, a hole in his chest.
But the moment of victory only lasted a few seconds, as the Blaster fire of the other nomads was directed at you again, after they realized what you had done to their comrade.
“Tota!?”, You yelled out to your Howler. Upon hearing your voice, they immediately ran over to you, ready to be mounted by you again.
“Good Howler.”, You mumbled, as you jumped onto Tota´s back again. You deflected the incoming shots as good as you could, pushing a nomad off of their Howler here and there. But as you saw one of the shuttles malfunction and crashing to the ground, You quickly grabbed Tota´s leash, slowing the Howler down. You quickly jumped to the ground, as you saw the rest of the flock turn around, coming back for the shuttle.
“Are you alright? Is everyone okay?!”, You quickly asked, waving at the Noti. You didn't understand a word they said, but they seemed fine, so you just gave them a thumbs up.
You watched how Ezra directed the rest of the flock back to where you were standing next to the broken shuttle. The nomads were following close behind and started to circle you, as all the shuttles came to a halt.
“Get inside. I'll handle this.”, Ezra said to the Noti and they followed his directions without much hesitation.
You quickly jogged over to him and Sabine, your lightsaber still drawn and resting in the palm of your hand, as the nomads were still very much surrounding you.
But you couldn't help the smile that rose to your face, as you recognized the familiar outlines of Ahsoka´s ship quickly closing in on your position.
“You two alright?”, you questioned, looking up at Ezra and Sabine. Both of them nodded quickly, but upon following Ezra´s gaze, you saw that Shin and what seemed to be the leader of the nomads, were now making their way over to you.
“Who´s that?”, Ezra asked, looking down at you for answers.
“She's like you, but lacks your sense of humor.”, You described Shin for him. Looking back at her, the young Sith apprentice was staring holes in your head, like she wanted to kill you right then and there.
Ezra nodded at your answer,”Lightsaber?”he asked, not taking his eyes off Shin.
“Oh yeah.”, Sabine tuned in. You slightly winced at her annoyed tone, as you remembered the injury she had suffered from an attack by Shin.
“Great.”, Ezra mumbled, clearly understanding the emotions Sabine and You had towards Shin,”We better get ready.”
You watched how the leader of the Nomads lifted his spear into the air, shouting in a language you didn't understand, while Ezra and Sabine made their way out of the shuttle and over to where you were standing already.
“You okay?”, Ezra asked, slightly touching your forearm. You nodded at him, giving him a warm smile, before turning back around.
The nomads were now closing in on you. You calculated that your odds were about even.
“What´s the plan?”, Ezra asked, glazing over to you and Sabine.
“She only pulled out her lightsaber, wanting to hand it to Ezra:”You and Y/n. Do your thing.”
“What thing?”; Ezra asked, about as confused as you.
“Your lightsaber. Take it”, Sabine explained, her eyes still locked on the enemy.
Ezra pursed his lips at that:”You keep it.”
A small smile spread on your lips, upon hearing his words. This was so typical for Ezra. He always did something unexpected.
“I don't need it.”, Ezra explained further,”Besides, you´ve been training.”
“Very funny.”, Sabine mocked, still holding the lightsaber out to him.
Ezra only repeated himself:”No, I´m serious.”
“Take it.”, Sabine persisted, slightly slapping the lightsaber against his chest.
But Ezra refused again:”I gave it to you, it´s yours now.”
“At least take a blaster.”, Sabine groaned, but Ezra only grinned at her:”No, the Force is my ally. That´s all I need.”
“For God´s sake! Are you two finished?!”, You finally butted in, spinning around and cutting straight through a nomad that had been sneaking up on Ezra and Sabine,”Now is not the time for Talking!”
“Sabine started it!”, You heard Ezra yell, as the three of you dispersed into different directions.
You rolled your eyes at him, a small smile pulling at the corner of your lips, as you engaged another enemy that rounded a corner in front of you. It took only a few swings from your lightsaber before he was down.
You kept moving around the shuttles, looking for the nomads, as you heard Sabine near you,”I did not start it!”, she answered to Ezra´s previous statement.
“You two are like children!”, You exclaimed, as you took a stance back to back with Sabine, fighting off the few Nomads that had surrounded you.
From the corner of your eye, you saw a Nomad that was about to jump Ezra from behind. You quickly stepped forward, reaching out your hand to use the force to send him flying towards the nearest shuttle.
Upon hearing the Nomad crash to the ground, Ezra quickly turned around. As he spotted you, he gave you a soft smile. But you had no time to return it, as You felt a sharp graze your shoulder and you quickly jumped back, raising your lightsaber in defense.
The Nomad that had attacked you wasted no time and jumped at you, his spear raised over his head in an attempt to stab you. But before you could do anything, the Nomad was thrown against a Noti Shuttle, just like his comrade a few seconds ago.
Your gaze lingered on his unconscious body for a second, before you looked up and saw Ezra sprinting towards you.
“Are you okay?”, he quickly asked, his gaze directed towards the small cut on your shoulder.
“I´m fine. Thank you, Ezra.”, You smiled and leaned up to quickly press a kiss to his cheek. The boy´s grin only got wider, but your small moment was interrupted, as you saw Shin behind Ezra coming closer.
“Look Out!”, You shouted and pulled Ezra away by his arm, as Shin swung her lightsaber at him.
A hand flew to Ezra's hair, as he grabbed a strand that had been grazed by Shin´s lightsaber.
“Close.”, he mumbled before jumping at her. You watched in awe how he managed to push her off, before also joining into the battle. Right as Ezra dodged one of Shin´s attacks, you stopped in, her lightsaber colliding with yours, as you pushed her back. The look of surprise that she gave you was unforgettable.
You continued to fight together with Ezra, as You suddenly saw Sabine from the corner of your eye. She had drawn her lightsaber and joined your battle against Shin, swinging at her with full speed. Upon realizing that she now had to fight with three Jedi, two of them with lightsabers, Shin took a step back.
“It´s not looking good for you.”, Ezra stated the obvious. But he was interrupted as you could see several troop carriers closing in on you.
“We need to take her, now!”, Sabine exclaimed. Ezra nodded and was about to attack, but this time, Shin was faster and sent him flying against one of the shuttles.
“Ezra!?”, You yelled, but he wasn't reacting. You hoped that he was just unconscious and turned back around, locking eyes with sabine. the Mandalorian nodded at you and together you stepped forward to attack Shin together. The Sith managed to dodge your attacks, but you were able to slowly push her back, until you realized that Ezra had gotten up again and joined your side once more.
The fight stopped as you realized that Storm Troopers had surrounded you and each and every one of them was pointing their weapon at you three.
“Destroy them.”, Shin finally ordered and you heard the safety of all blasters around you lock off.
“Wait!Wait!Wait!”, Ezra yelled, lifting his hands to the air,”We could…talk. Or we could just…We…Don´t you wanna take us as prisoners? As Prisoners?”, He pointed his hand at Shin like that would help in any way.
But she didn't seem amused at all, her face was not showing any sign of emotion, as she yelled:”Fire!”, towards the troopers.
But they didn't have the chance to do so, as three of them were thrown off their feet and flung across the field. Mere seconds later, a Howler approached your group and from their back, Ahsoka jumped in front of you, her lightsabers drawn, ready to fight.
You, Sabine and Ezra quickly looked at each other, before dispersing into the field again, while Ahsoka took on Shin.
You saw Ahsoka´s ship flying above you, probably steered by Huyang, as you started fighting against the Troopers. It wasn´t particularly hard to take them down, the problem was the number of them. They attacked you from every corner possible.
You were in the middle of a fight against three Troopers that had been shooting on you for a few minutes, while you tried to get closer to them, as they suddenly stopped and started to retreat. Rounding the closest corner, you joined the rest of your team again. Shin was standing in front of Ahsoka, clearly surprised by the sudden order to retreat.
“Surrender your weapon. I can help you.”, Ahsoka ordered calmly. Shin only looked up at her, the fear on her face as clear as day. But instead of following Ahsoka´s orders, Shin turned around and ran off to her Howler.
“Ahsoka.”, Sabine finally said after a few seconds of silence. Ahsoka turned around and smiled at her apprentice.
“I thought you were dead.”, Sabine explained, sadness lacing her voice.
But Ahsoka only smiled, clicking her tongue:”And miss this reunion?”
She  looked over to Ezra, who also had a smile on his face, before the two shared a heartfelt hug. As the two parted, Ahsoka looked up to Ezra and a genuine laugh left her lips.
After a few seconds, Ezra turned around towards Sabine and You:”Wait, you thought she was dead?”
“Clearly. We were wrong.”, Sabine answered, with a smile on her face. You only grinned, raising your hand to pat her shoulder:”I´m glad, we were.”
The sound of Huyang landing the ship behind the four of you, interrupted your little conversation as you all turned around.
Your gaze wandered over to one of the Noti, that had left their shuttle and waddled over to Ezra. Right behind them was Tota, who upon seeing you, Immediately ran over to you, rubbing the snout against your hand.
“Hey Tota.”, You mumbled and petted the Howler, as you watched Ezra reassure the small hermit;”Hey, it's okay. These are friends. All friends.”
You looked around you, as all of the other Noti now also started to come out of their shuttles, chattering away about God knows what.
Yeah, this feeling was pretty fucking great, you decided.
“Guys. I´m getting a feeling.”, Ezra finally said,”I think I might be going home after all. "
You smiled at him, patting his shoulder, as the four of you gazed back towards Ahsoka´s ship.
Bonus:
A small squeal left your lips, as you suddenly felt Ezra´s arms wrap around you in a tight hug. You didn't have any time to react before, he pulled you off your feet spinning you around in circles.
“Ezra!”, You scolded him, your hands resting on his shoulders for support, but You could only hear his beautiful laugh in response, before the two of you toppled to the ground.
You could hear the laughs of Ahsoka and Sabine behind you, as you finally looked up. You realized that you were laying on top of Ezra. The jedi was of course already looking at you, his hands resting on your hips.
“I saw you fight today.”, he mumbled, only for you to hear,”You were awesome. You´ve really improved.”
“So have you.”, You chuckled, quickly pecking his lips, before slowly setting up again.
You saw a small blush creep up ezra´s neck, as he sat up next to you.
“We should take care of your shoulder”, He said pointing at the small scratch on your shoulder.
“It's just a scratch.”; You tried to dismiss him, but Ezra had already stood up again, holding his hand out to you.
“No excuses.”, he said sternly as he pulled you to your feet.
“Come on.”, You heard Ahsoka say, as she lightly patted Sabine´s shoulder,”Let´s give the lovebirds some time alone.”
You felt the heat rise to your cheeks, as Sabine gave you a smirk, before following Ahsoka towards her ship.
“Shall we?”, Ezra asked after a few seconds of silence. You turned to look at him and saw that he held his hand out towards you.
“Always.”, You smiled before grabbing his hand and letting him lead you to one of the Noti shuttles, to take care of your shoulder.

The Bad Day
Sabine's day was not going very well.
It all started innocently enough. Waking up from a nightmare, only to find she'd overslept. Tripping on her way out the door. Chopper pulling a poorly timed prank. Hera getting upset at her for attacking Chopper because of his prank and sending her by herself on a supply run— a chance to cool down, Hera had reasoned, but it only steamed her up more.
Then there was the guy in the market whose catcalling would've been met with her fist if she hadn't been carrying the crew's supplies and trying to avoid imperial suspicion. And then the upcharged groceries that never seemed to fit their supply budget. And the annoyed screams of Zeb when she returned without his beloved space waffles that had been so significantly overpriced, she figured she could skip them this time. Then the angry words she'd yelled as she'd stormed out. Then Kanan trying to ask her what was wrong like he was some kind of dad.
That was the last straw. Usually, she didn't mind her family on The Ghost. But today? After the dream she'd had last night? The last thing she needed was more family to worry about.
She left The Ghost in a huff, thinking maybe some time by herself would calm her down, though she knew the opposite was often the case when she was left alone with her thoughts.
But then she saw Ezra, tinkering with some circuits on the underside of the ship, lost in his own little world, a Loth Cat curled around his leg.
Now, Sabine had never been known to have an affinity for hugs, and she'd also never been known to have an affinity for Ezra, but something inside her told her a hug from Ezra would make this nightmare of a day a bit better.
So, she marched up to him, fists clenched, her mere frustrated presence scaring away the Loth Cat. Ezra, however, didn't seem to notice her right away, instead watching the Loth Cat run into the distance.
"I need you to give me a hug," she said, quickly, sharply, as if upset at herself for saying it and stopping herself from stopping herself.
Ezra turned to her and smiled at the sight of her, but with deep confusion in his eyes.
"What?" he asked, then shook his head and blinked a couple times, "wait, why? Is everything okay?"
"I'm not talking about it," Sabine said, knowing what would happen if she tried to talk about it, and not ready to cry right now, "I just need a hug. Don't make me change m...."
Before she could finish speaking, she was in his arms. On any other day, if she'd even let him get this close, she would've complained that he smelled like Loth Cats and mechanical failures, and about how sweaty he was, and how whatever kind of starship grease he'd been using was all over his hands and staining her shoulder pauldron and her sleeve— but with everything that had happened that day, she almost didn't notice, and if she did, she certainly didn't care.
He'd pulled her in so quickly, she hadn't even the chance to hug him back— not that she needed to, instead clinging onto Ezra's shoulders in front of her as tightly as she could.
She wasn't sure when he'd gotten taller than her, but she was glad that he had, because his heart's gentle beating beneath her ear calmed her own heart rate down as well. She hadn't noticed how cold she'd been until Ezra's arms closed around her, his warmth quickly spreading from her back and arms all the way down to her toes and her fingers.
"Is this okay?" Ezra quietly asked.
 "Yeah," Sabine whispered.
As he held her, held her close to him, neither of them backing away or making it weird, Sabine's stress floated away, like a leaf in the wind, like every layer of hardships she'd faced that day peeled itself away from her, and when they were all stripped back, maybe it wasn't so hard a day after all— except for the nightmare she'd woken up from.
Even an eternity in his arms couldn't fix that one— not that she normally would've liked the idea of spending an eternity in his arms, but this sacred moment made it a tempting prospect.
She heard him sigh as his arms slipped out from around her and he took a step back from her, though his hand still rested on her shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Ezra asked, his gaze seeing through her rough exterior.
"I just," she shook her head, "just a bad dream."
"In the middle of the day?" Ezra asked, and though anyone else could've meant it sarcastically, he seemed legitimately confused.
 "No, last night," she explained.
"And you're still stressed over it?" Ezra asked, and when she nodded, he added on, gently, "may I ask what it was about?"
"The Empire," Sabine said, letting the words come out angrily rather than risk letting sorrow herald them, "somehow they'd recreated the Duchess, and they," she let a deep breath fight against the tears she knew would betray her, "and my family...."
She couldn't bring herself to say it, and she didn't have to. Once again, Ezra cut her off by pulling her into a hug— and this time, she hugged him in return.
As her head hit his chest, she found that her tears fell faster than she could stop them, and hoped Ezra wouldn't notice a few teardrops mixed in with all the sweat and grease on his shirt.
"I couldn't stop it," Sabine said, "I had to watch...."
"It's okay," Ezra said, his hand moving off her shoulder so he could cradle the back of her head, pulling her closer to him in support, "it was just a dream."
"It felt so real," Sabine said, through gritted teeth.
"I know," Ezra said, the softness in his tone smoothing out the rough edges of hers, "it's okay. Your family is okay."
"And what if they're not?" Sabine asked, pushing a little bit away from him, though he didn't take his hands off her shoulders, "what if the Empire tries again?"
"Then we'll stop them," Ezra said, "we always do."
Sabine wanted to argue, but she knew it was pointless to try and disagree with those reassuring blue eyes and the confident smile below them.
 "Yeah," Sabine nodded.
That was all she said. That was all she could say, and she hardly even looked at him when she said it.
But it was apparently enough for Ezra. His smile shifted ever so slightly, and Sabine responded with a smile of her own.
As one last comfort before she inevitably put up her walls and shut him out again, he pulled her back into his arms, close to his heart.
And Sabine sighed with contentment as she returned his embrace.
Maybe today wasn't going so bad after all.

My Oneshot for day 3 of @kaneraweek "Everybody Talks". After all the angst I went with something more lighthearted today 😊. Also it's way shorter😂.
It's also here on ao3:
My works for Kanera Week 2023 (5876 words) by RandomLettersIJustThoughtOf ____________________________________ Day 3: Prompts: Broad: Everybody talks Specific: Rumors | Outside POV | Shutting People Up Hera hears an outrageos rumor and is determinded to find out where it came from.
"Kanan Jarrus!" Everybody in the Ghost kitchen spun around to Hera, who had just stormed in infuriated, and now stood in the door, puffing herself up and glaring at Kanan as if she had caught him doing something extremely forbitten. He was just pouring himself a cup of water, wtf? He froze, raised an eyebrow, and exchanged a quick look with Zeb and Sabine to see, if they understood what was going on. But they looked just as surprised and confused as him. He looked back at Hera and raised a questioning eyebrow, but couldn't completely hide the trace of amusement by her barely contained rage in his voice, when he jokingly replied: "Love?" "Do not 'Love' me!", Hera demanded, striving towards him, accusingly pointing at him. "Care to explain, why I just got, not one, not two, but THREE people congratulating me on EXPECTING A CHILD?" Kanan choked on his water. "You are pregnant?!?" For a moment, they just stared at each other immensely confused, and Hera could watch every range of emotion cross Kanan's face in the span of a moment. Confusion, shock, excitement, fear, guilt, hope, happiness, and then confusion again. "I… what, NO!" Hera blushed such a dark green that it almost reached the tone of Kanan's shirt. Sabine and Zeb exchanged a slightly amused 'Oh, interesting'-look and chuckled silently. "Oh", was the only thing Kanan could think to say. He would have sounded nearly disappointed if it hadn't been overshadowed by ten layers of confusion. "I… I just wanted to know why everybody assumed that." Hera was still blushing like crazy. "I don't know, what made you think this was my fault?" "I don't know, whose else would it be?" "Well, not mine!? I don't…" "Hey guys!" Ezra crashed into the kitchen. "What's going on? Why did a very scared Wedge and a very concerned Rex just warn me, they think Hera is about to commit homicide after they saw her storm through the base? I think you scared them." Sabine laughed, picturing various rebels scrambling to get out of the way of a very infuriated Hera, practically trembling with rage, marching towards the ghost. Zeb took it upon himself to answer Ezra's question, chuckling as well: "Well, it seems like there is a rumor going around, that our dear Hera is pregnant." Ezra frowned in confusion. "Why… oh." A sudden realization dawned on his face. "Ezra Bridger," Hera growled, "What did you do?" "Nothing! I just…", he glanced at Sabine for support, but she remained silent, a grin on her face and pure mischief sparkling in her eyes. "I was fighting with Sabine earlier, and I think I said something like 'I'm getting a new sister', so maybe somebody heard that and…" The rest of his sentence got lost in Zeb's and Sabine's roaring laughter. Hera groaned and rolled her eyes, but even she couldn't hide her smile. Kanan was still confused and overwhelmed by the events of these last two minutes, but soon, he joined the laughter as well. He searched for Hera's eyes, but she kept them fixed to the ground. She did not know what to do with the realization that he was not appalled—maybe even excited—by the thought of her bearing his child. Damn, someday they would really need to talk about this.

Visions Of A Downfall
I've always headcanoned that Ezra had visions about his “death” in rebels and he knew for weeks about it… poor boy. Anyway, that’s what this is about! REQUESTS ARE OPEN!!! Feel free to drop by my inbox with your ideas!
Genre: Random???
Characters: Ezra Bridged (mentions of Kanan Jarrus)
Warnings: Mentions of death
Ezra slowly rose from bed, groggy from the lack of sleep, his feet shuffling unevenly on the floor of the Ghost. His blue eyes were squinted as if they did not want to open, but Ezra wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway. Sometimes, there were downsides to being a Jedi. Sometimes the nightmares were too much for him to handle.
Hands stretched out in front of him, feeling the wall so he wouldn't fall in the dark, his raven hair was a mess from the tossing and turning he’d done in dreamland.
The cool metal of the door handle brushed against his bare palm, and he grasped it, not quite used to lacking the feeling of his usual gloves on his hands.
The Jedi apprentice opened the door slowly, as to not make a sound and awaken the rest of the crew. He’d never hear them end of it from Zeb if he did.
Now, the stars above seemed infinite, beckoning as they traced out a thousand different stories across the blackness of the sky.
Grass swirled around his ankles, stirred by the light breeze, as he gazed up at the stunning night, the two moons casting his face in a silvery glow.
Ezra had always wondered how the stars got to be in the sky, when he was little. At first, the Jedi thought that they were guiding beacons for the ships above, lighting the way so they would never be in the dark. Then, when he was a bit older, he assumed that they were ghosts wandering among the planets in search of each other and freedom.
Now, he had less fantastical guesses, as he’d travelled from planet to planet and spotted the firey spheres that the stars really were.
A loth-cat stalked through the grasses ahead of him, fur seeming to meld with the landscape around it. It darted away as the raven haired boy continued his walk.
So much had happened during theses last few weeks. Some things were miracles, others almost too far from it to be possible.
But he didn't want to think about their losses now.
His eyes reflected the glow of a passing ship overhead, some imperial transport that didn't even give Ezra a second glance.
In the dark and lacking his usual attire, he probably hadn't even been spotted.
Ezra reached the crest of the hill that the Ghost had used for cover, and settled himself in the grasses.
He didn't mind the silence as the ship sped too far away to see, the wind finally dying down. It was far more peaceful them the dreams he’d been having.
The Loth-cat circled back towards the Jedi boy, but he didn't notice.
He knew, from the dreams, that something just as bad as Kanan’s death was coming for him, too.
His own downfall, possibly, but he couldn’t tell.
Jedi visions were always like that. Clear but unclear, like water blurred by the stirring of a sandy bottom.
He knew that he was approaching the end of his time, though in this life, this crew of even this galaxy were details he hadn't been given.
Maybe he’d see Kanan again.
Ezra was ready for this fate, whatever was coming for him or whatever would finally being him down.
He’d done enough for the galaxy to finally rest. For as long as the forces of the universe could keep him asleep, anyway. Ezra had a knack for getting out of the strangest of predicaments.
The galaxy might fade, he might fade, but he’d done enough.
Ezra returned to the ship, silent as the ghost he was doomed to become.
