Ezra Bridger x fem!Jedi!reader
Word count:2.1k
Warnings: !SPOILERS! for Ahsoka Ep. 6, minor injuries, canon typical violence, you can maybe notice that I was a bit pissed at Sabine-
Summary:After being knocked out by Baylan Skoll, you regain your senses on his ship as a prisoner on your way to find Ezra…and Thrawn
Part I (you are here), Part II
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Ezra…please, don´t go”
“We will see each other again, I promise.”
“Ezra…”
“I love you, Y/N”
Your head was pounding, as you slowly came back to your senses. Memories of conversations long ago haunting your dreams and making you want to wake up again.
“Ezra…”, you mumbled, as your eyes slowly opened, the world before you still blurry.
“Easy there, you hit your head pretty hard”
As you finally managed to gain your full consciousness again, you realized that the person in front of you, very much wasn´t Ezra. It was Sabine. You looked at her with confusion written all over your face, as you slowly sat up.
“Sabine? Where are we?”, you mumbled, taking in your surroundings. It looked like you were in a small prison cell. Only a bench adorned the dimly lit room. Taking another look at Sabine, only confirmed your suspicion.
“We were captured.”, Sabine finally said, after a few moments of silence, “By Baylan. We are currently on the way to the place where Ezra is.”
“And Thrawn.”, you mumbled to yourself, as bits and pieces of what had happened on Arcana came back to you…
Fear filled your eyes, as you arrived at the battleground. Ahsoka was fiercely fighting Baylan Skoll, trying to obtain the map.
“Ahsoka!”, you yelled, as you grabbed your own lightsaber, joining in to the battle.
Just in time, you jumped forward, preventing Ahsoka from being cut in half and pushing Baylan back a few inches.
“Get the map!”, Ahsoka instructed and you nodded at her, ready to sprint towards the small orb, but before you could reach it, a blazing red blade appeared right in front of you, blocking your path.
“Not so fast”, Baylan mumbled, preparing to strike, but you managed to block him beforehand. Your lightsabers colliding in an explosion of colors, as your green blade pushed against his red one. And those few moments were already enough for Ahsoka to lunge forward and grab the map. A scream of pain left her lips, as the glowing orb burned her skin and she dropped it to the floor.
Momentarily distracted by your companions' actions, Baylan managed to push you back. You only had seconds to react, but you were too slow. You felt the burning pain in your hand, as Bayllan hit you with his lightsaber, causing you to drop your own. You looked up at him, thinking that he would kill you right then and there. But instead of impaling you, he used the force to send you flying against one of the gigantic stone pillars, knocking you unconscious almost immediately.
You heard Ahsoka yell your name, but what happened afterwards was not known to you.
“Where is Ahsoka?”, you finally asked, after a few minutes of thinking. Sabine looked at you with sorrow in her eyes:”She…She was fighting Baylan, when I arrived, but he knocked her over the edge of the cliff. I don´t know if she's alive or not.”
“And then what?!”, you pressed, trying not to think about the possibility of Ahsoka being dead,”Did you just give them the map and left her behind?”
“I had no choice!”; she tried to defend herself, walking up and down the small room, even if that were only a few steps.
“I thought she was dead! You were laying there, also possibly dead. I was alone and this was the only way to ever see Ezra again!”, she explained, finally looking at you, still sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall.
“Sabine…”, you began, taking a slow breath in,”Believe me, out of all people that you know, I am probably the only one who understands how much you want to see Ezra again, but preventing Thrawn from returning to our galaxy is more important. We can´t let him start another war. That's not what Ezra wanted. He made this sacrifice, so that Thrawn would forever be exiled and now, we have to make sure, it stays that way.”
Before Sabine could say anything, the door to your prison cell opened and two Storm Troopers entered.
“Time to get up!”, one of them said sternly, as he grabbed your arm, harshly pulling you to your feet, while the other grabbed Sabine.
It took you a few seconds to gain your footing, the blunt force that had caused your knockout on Arcana still affecting you. As the Trooper realized you were struggling to stand, he pushed you forward, causing you to stumble to the ground again.
“Get going already!”, he yelled, as you slowly stood up again.
“Hey, she's injured!”Sabine yelled, but the Troopers ignored her. As you were finally standing on your feet again, the Trooper grabbed your arm again and they both started escorting you and Sabine out of the prison cell.
After a few minutes of walking in silence, you finally reached your destination. You couldn`t believe your eyes, as you took in what was in front of you.
Grand Admiral Thrawn himself was standing there, waiting for you and Sabine. He looked exactly like you remembered him. His red eyes bored into your skull, as he looked you both up and down.
“Sabine Wren”, he said, as you came to a halt in front of him,”And Y/N L/N”
“Thrawn…”, Sabine said quietly, looking at him with the same disgust in her eyes, as he held for her.
“What a delight it is after so long to see familiar faces.”, Thrawn continued, not one ounce of emotion in his voice,”I understand it is you I have to thank for my escape from exile.”
“Where is Ezra?”, you finally spoke, ignoring his question entirely.
“Ah yes.”, he smiled, looking down at you,”The desire to be reunited with your long lost Lover…”, he briefly turned around to Sabine,”...and Friend.”
He paused, looking to the ground for a second:”How that singular focus will reshape our galaxy.”
“Just answer the question.”,Sabine interrupted him, anger lacing her voice.
“No need for hostility.”, Thrawn smiled, as calm as someone who was about to start a new war, had ever talked.
“I´m aware of your agreement with Baylan Skoll, and I intend to honor it.”, Thrawn continued to explain as he turned away from you. You eyed Sabine from the side, as she had never told you about any agreement.
You watched how a Storm Trooper with a patchwork armor of white and gold walked over to you, taking off your cuffs.
“You shall have provisions, a mount, and our latest intel on Bridger´s whereabouts.”,Thrawn revealed.
You furrowed your brows in confusion:”So, that's it? You´re just gonna let us walk out of here?”
“You two helped my cause. Now I shall help you.”, Thrawn explained with a little bow of his head,”You should know, though, that once my starship departs, you´ll be stranded here forever. It's also quite possible that your friend…is dead.”
You shook your head, a sarcastic grin lacing your features. You knew that he had to be up to something. He would never just let you walk out of there.
“If you survived, I'm sure he's doing just fine.”, Sabine suddenly said, her voice sounding like venom.
Thrawn seemed to be agitated by her statement and stepped towards her concerningly slowly:”You have gambled the fate of your galaxy on that belief.”
“You wouldn't understand.”, Sabine countered, staring up at Thrawn with nothing but hate in her eyes.
Even though you knew what she meant, you couldn't help but agree with Thrawn. You had to find Ezra now or else, everything would be lost. You needed to turn this battle to your favor or the galaxy would fall into darkness.
After a few seconds of silence, Thrawn looked over to you, inspecting your face for any signs of disagreement, but you didn't let him see your concerns, so he finally looked back at Sabine:”Perhaps not.”
“We'd rather not waste anymore time.”, you interrupted their little conversation,”What kind of ride you got around here?”
After being given back your belongings, you were escorted to your ride. Much to your and Sabine´s dismay, it wasn't a speeder, but a domesticated creature called Howler. It apparently went by the name Tota.
You looked at the creature for a few seconds before stepping forward and petting it´s snout. Tota happily licked your hand in response.
“You're injured. You ride.”, Sabine said, patting your shoulder, leaving no room for protest. You only nodded and mounted the Howler, as Sabine grabbed the leash.
“Be warned”, One of the Troopers instructed,”Nomads wander this wasteland and prey upon each other for survival. Here are your weapons.”
He first handed Sabine her two blasters and then her lightsaber, before walking over to you. The man pulled out your lightsaber and you were relieved to see that it was still intact.
He stepped back, ready for your departure:”Die well.”
You eyed him for a second before turning around, as the door in front of you opened. Sabine led the Howler outside and the doors closed behind you. Now, you were on your own.
Tumblr media
To say that your ride through this wasteland was eventful, would be an understatement. You were out for maybe an hour or two, as you were attacked by those nomads the Trooper had warned you about. Much to your dismay, Tota jumped in panic and threw you off before running away.
Luckily, You and Sabine had managed to defeat the attackers, before  anything worse could happen. It also didn't take you long to find the Howler again. Sabine was heavily against taking him with you again, but after a bit of convincing, she accepted him and you continued your journey.
Which led you to where you were right now. Following a small creature you had encountered, hoping they would lead you to Ezra, even though you didn't understand a word they said.
You had grabbed Tota´s leash firmly, to keep them away from the small creatures.
“It's alright, Tota.”, you mumbled, staying back a bit to calm the Howler down. You smiled as one of the people gave you an unknown fruit. You took it, thanking them before trying to feed Tota with it. They smelled it first, before finally taking a bite, judging that it was tasty.
Your eyes widened as you were led to a village. You saw lots of small tents, at least a hundred people running around doing Maker knows what, but most of them were looking at you curiously, as you entered their home.
“I knew I could count on you.”
Your Head shot up as you heard his voice. A few meters in front of You, Sabine turned towards a small hut, presumingly staring at a Person you couldn't see from where you were standing. You watched how a smile unfolded on Sabine´s face before she stepped forward.
And so did Ezra.
You only took in his form as they started conversing. He was much taller now, his long hair hanging around his face, that was adorned by a beard. You watched how the two of them hugged each other,  you finally decided to step away from Tota and closer to them.
“Ezra?”, You said quietly, your voice trembling, as his eyes finally landed on your form. The smile on his face dropped, as seriousness that you never seen on him before, took over.
“Y/N.”, he mumbled and only seconds later, he ran towards you, engulfing you in his arms.
“It's really you!”, You exclaimed, tears in your eyes as you wrapped your arms around him. Ezra happily lifted off your feet, spinning you around.
“It's really me!”, he smiled, as he let you to the ground again. You looked up at the boy you loved. He had grown into a man. You smiled as your hand cupped his cheek. He immediately leaned into your touch, closing his eyes.
“Maker, I missed you so much.”, he mumbled, putting his hand on top of yours.
“I missed you too.”, You smiled and looked into his eyes. His appearance might have changed, but his eyes were still the ones you fell in love with.
“I'm gonna kiss you now”, Ezra muttered and you only nodded, before his lips collided with yours. And that's when you finally felt the relief of having him back again. His beard tickled against your skin, as he poured all his emotion into the kiss and you felt connected to him even through the force.
You were gasping for air, as you finally parted again. A soft smile now adorned Ezra´s face and he leaned forward to give you another kiss on the forehead.
“I love you, Y/N”, he said firmly. And this time, you got to reply to him. Finally, after all this time.
“I love you too, Ezra.”

Ezra just nonstop flirting and being an absolute lovable dork around fem Reader Post reunion..
Poor reader’s desperately trying to get her work done in peace but she is struggling..
One, either because Ezra is even vaguely in the same space as her and she can’t focus because of his stupid pretty face, or his stupid voice that makes her feel all fluttery inside..
Or two, he’s not there at all but she still can’t focus because she can’t stop thinking about him! A mechanic who can’t focus is a mechanic who can’t work… and she needs to get her work done!
So the next time Ezra walks up to lay a flirty line on her she just stops.. gets up, walks over to him, grabs him by his collar and shoves him In chair.. sits on his lap, grabs his face and kisses him.. hard, like within seconds Ezra went from being all suave and flirty with his crush to his crush straight up making out with him on his lap….
Girl has her hands fiddling with his soft curly hair, and thumb rubbing across his cheek when she pulls back for air.. gently running her fingers across his bearded jaw as she slowly gets off his lap…
He his too stunned to speak…. But she’s not~
“I finish work at ten.. I know a few places that stay open late for dinner.. if you’re late THAT won’t be happening again for awhile..”
Reader Calming walks away with a satisfied grin on her face to go back to work…
Ezra: ….. OH KRIFF YEAH!!!!
the last sentence was literally me when I first read your request 😭
can’t focus? can’t work.
pairing: Mechanic!Fem!Reader x Ezra Bridger
warnings: none, kissing at the end
word count: 2K
summary: you are a well known mechanic which meant that you had plenty of work to do. There was one problem tho.. Ezra. He always managed to distract you from your work, even if he wasn’t around you. You can’t focus yourself anymore on anything and this was bad for your job. You had to find a solution to this.. which you did. Leaving him completely flustered behind.
authors note: Flirty Ezra lives rent free in my head.
Pls bare with me, flirting isn’t my speciality, if his attempts to flirt don’t make sense I‘m deeply sorry.

Hera asked you if you could help her with something. The Ghost made weird sounds for over a week now, she wanted you to take a look at it.
„Are you sure? I don’t want you to overwork yourself. I know that you’re quite busy, this can wait for a few days“
She tried to reassure you, knowing that you were a well known mechanic which meant that you had tons of work to do.
Unbeknownst to her though, you had other problems.
Ezra.
-
Some time passed now since he finally returned. He didn’t want to show it but those years which he spent alone… let’s just say that they left their mark.
You two were close before he disappeared, nobody confessed but you had your moments with him. And now? After all those years you two noticed that you had to catch up on a few things…
And since he was alone for a decade now.. he made sure that he made his affection towards you clear, not thinking twice before he opened his mouth to say something he’d maybe regret when he couldn’t sleep.
Or not, it’s Ezra after all, he’s sure as hell proud at how he makes you feel.
You kind of enjoyed it, and you still do. But your not so official boyfriend just doesn’t know when he has to stop.
It all leaded to your current situation. You accepted way to many comissions hoping that they’d keep you concentrated. And they did, for a few days.
You were stressed, regretting your actions while you worked at the different shuttles or machines.
Ezra always found his way to you, sneaking in to your workshop, spending his time with you while you fixed some broken parts.
„Did I tell you that you’re beautiful?“
Yes he did, multiple times now and he always managed to make you blush whenever he said that.
„I guess so“
You tried to brush it off, focusing on your work as best as you could.
„Do I see a blush?“
He smirked, walking closer to you while you continued your work.
This boy was so full with love, love that he wanted to share with the only person he wanted. You.
And he made sure that you knew that there was ‚someone‘ who’d be always here for you.
You turned around, originally wanting to change the tools you were working with only to collide against Ezra’s chest.
You were trying to maintain your focus so much that you didn’t even notice how he left his corner and made his way closer to you.
And you blushed even more.
„Oh yeah that’s definetly a blush“
There was no point in hiding your face now, you just stepped closer to him, resting your head on his chest while you wrapped your arms around him.
„You’re going to be the end of me, do you know it?“
„Your ‚end‘ will at least be a handsome one“
He said, not even hesitating for a second after your statement. A proud smile made it‘s way up to his face, yes. He indeed was very handsome.
You looked up to him, straight into his eyes. They were directed at you, representing his affection.
Words can’t explain how they made you feel.
You could stare at them for hours and never get bored of them.
They were just so… peaceful? Loving, caring, actually a sight that comforted you.
Blue always had this effect on you. Hera once got really worried because you were standing in the cockpit, not moving a muscle while you observed the hyperspace’s blue.
His eyes had this magic effect on you and he soon noticed that.
„If you like my eyes that much.. why don’t we go somewhere more private where you’d have all the time you need to observe them.. or more“
He of course had to say something.
Would it still be Ezra if he didn’t? Nope.
Why did it even surprise you.
After all, deep within his heart, he still was the 18 year old boy who loved to tease his people.
-
„Don’t worry, I’d be more then happy to work at something I actually care for“
Even if Hera was right about you being busy, she didn’t know anything about your inner conflict.
Ever since Ezra started to be all lovey dovey around you, flirting with you whenever he got his chance, you felt like you couldn’t get anything done anymore.
The image of his face, his eyes, his mouth, his handsome hair or whatever.
He was just perfect and your brain made sure that you wouldn’t forget it.
His voice was a constant element in your mind, haunting you whenever you did something.
„I‘m just worrying about you.. you seem to be stressed“
„I mean… I am but.. believe me, working on the Ghost will definetly help“
„How so?“
„I‘ll be actually working alone“
She was confused, you were already working alone, you didn’t have a coworker, or did she miss something?
„What do yo-„
„Heyy Hera! Ehem..“
Hera was cut by Sabine calling her through her comm link.
„Sabine! What’s going on?“
There was an apologetic look on her face as she turned around.
„Could you come please? A pilot needs some good advice from you“
„Can’t you handle it..? I‘m in a conversation right now“
„With who?“
Hera gestured for you to come closer so that Sabine could see you.
„Hey there“
You said nervously.
„Oh perfect! Okay y/n tell me and be honest, would you want to repair another X-Wing this week?“
This confused you, Sabine knew about your busy schedule, why would she recommend such a thing?
„.. Sabine… why do you ask?“
This caught Heras attention too.
„Well.. if Hera doesn’t want to come to lecture our newest pilot, your mechanic skills may come in very handy by the end of the week“
You heard a sigh coming from Hera. Seems like Sabine won.
„Okay, I‘m on my way“
„Thank you, see you! And y/n, good luck with the Ghost!“
And with those words she ended the transmission.
„Seems like she still got her spirit“
Your attempt of a joke actually managed to get a chuckle out of Hera.
„Oh yeah.. however.. thank you for prioritizing the Ghost on your list, I really appreciate this“
„No problem, you’re basically my family, the others can wait a little longer“
You said your goodbyes when Hera left to go and get this new pilot lectured about his X-Wing while you made your way to the Ghost.
You ran some test and after a few minutes you too noticed the weird sound coming off the engine.
You ran a mental check list of the things you’d have to get from your workshop in order to get that nasty sound fixed.
Well.. you tried your best. The thought of a certain someone crossing your mind.
His laugh and his eyes.. damn they where so beautiful.
He was beautiful.
Damnit! Again! You won’t be able to get any work done at this rate. How did he even manage to take control over your thoughts.
Jedi or not, he wasn’t even in the same room as you right now.
With all your willpower left, your tried to stay focused and get your tools to repair your friends ship.
Everything you had to do right now was to just fix it, it shouldn’t be too difficult, right?
Your mind always managed to drift off, memories of and with him, his attempts to flirt with you or his handsome face.
Oh my force, why did he have to be this handsome in the first place?
Drifting off while you were at work seemed to be your new speciality.
He had such a big effect on you and it started to annoy you.
Not he as a person, nor his affection.
You were growing to be upset with yourself.
A mechanic who can’t focus is a mechanic who can’t work.
It is as simple as that.
And if you can’t work, you sure as hell won’t be able to keep your deadlines.
You had to find a solution to this.
Something to stop you from getting distracted whenever you where alone.
But what?
-
You were once again working on a other shuttle. This time you only has to repair something that broke within the wings.
Yes. Wings.
Heras advice didn’t seem to help enough, that new pilot still managed to destroy it.
For the first time in what felt like forever you managed to stay focused.
Not thinking of him and his flirting or everything.
Until now.
You heard someone’s footsteps closing in on you.
And then, his sigh before he started to speak.
„We’d be married by now if you decided to just spend half of the time with me that your spending with those shuttles“
He faked a hurt tone, looking down in ‚defeat‘.
„I already miss your voice.. so sweet..“
He continued, sensing through the force that even if you didn’t answer, he still managed to make you feel flustered.
„Please don’t make me bring the ‚I see the stars in your eyes‘ card, it’s too simple, your eyes don’t just resemble the stars but also the whole un-„
Ezra stopped when you just stopped whatever you where doing.
You placed the tools somewhere on a desk, getting up from your sitting position to walk over to him.
You didn’t say a thing.
Not a damn thing.
„y/n?“
Still no answer.
Instead you reached out for his arm, grab him by his collar to push him onto the nearest chair.
He was speechless and when you didn’t leave him any time to realize what was happening, you were already sitting on his lap.
Now it was Ezra who was flustered af.
You then placed your hands on his face, holding him while you took every ounce of courage you had to finally kiss him.
Hard.
Very. Hard.
Bro was flabbergasted to say the least.
But he didn’t hesitate to return the kiss.
He still tried to understand what was happening right now. His flirty attitude from before seemed to be replaced.
Right now, just for you, he was the most passionate man, putting everything he had into that kiss.
Your hands started to work on their own. The one fiddling with his soft locks while the other did it’s work around his cheek.
Poor boy still tried to understand how he went from trying to flirt with you to straight making out with you on his lap.
However, oxygen was something you both needed in order to survive, and you two started to run out of breath, you pulled back.
Locking your gaze with him.
You were panting, both of you. Trying to catch your breath.
This was… intense.
You ran your fingers across his bearded jaw as you stood up from his lap, not breaking the eye contact.
Now it was him who was speechless, a blushing mess even.
You at the other hand enjoyed this.
„I usually end my work at ten… there are some places I know that stay open late for dinner… don’t be late, otherwise this… won’t happen again anytime soon.“
You then walked off, back to where you were working. A satisfied grin on your face. Words couldn’t describe what you were feeling right now.
It was overwhelming, you just kissed him, kissed him so hard that he was still speechless.
The Ezra Bridger. Speechless. Because of you.
Ezra was still sitting on the chair. Slowly realizing that you asked him out on a date. And that you also just made out with him on his fucking lap.
His stunned expression turned into a excited one.
He was still too stunned to speak, but his mind was everything but quiet right now.
„Holy force…“
SHE ASKED ME OUT!
OH KRIFF YEAH!!!

The sky was so vast, it made you feel so small. But somehow, you were okay with that.
Yeah, you were small compared to the rest of the galaxy. You had no idea how far out the expanse of space went, and you didn't really want to find out, but you had a tiny part of the galaxy to yourself that night.
Well, to yourself and Ezra.
Your head rested on his chest, curled against his side as his arm draped across your side. You held your breath slightly so you could breathe in sync with him, the action reminding you that the two of you were there. You and him were alive, despite everything.
It felt like not too long ago that you had nearly died for the umpteenth time. Such was the life of a rebel, you supposed. Though it was perilous, what else was there? Lie down and accept defeat? No, that wasn’t an option. Especially not after all you’ve lost to the Empire.
Someday, the Empire would burn.
You shifted to lie on your back beside him and gazed up at the stars surrounding Lothal. The two moons glinted up above. The air was chill against your skin. Ezra turned his face to you, staring at your profile for who knows how long before he spoke up with a question.
“What’s wrong?”
Had your thoughts been so clearly displayed on your expression, or did he just know you well enough to tell? You preferred to think it was the latter and hoped to the stars that you weren’t that easy to read to everyone else. The only person—in this galaxy or the next—you wanted to be transparent to was the boy lying there with you.
You let out a sigh, and there was a weight to it that you didn’t like. “It’s nothing.”
He leaned up on his elbows, lopsided grin everpresent on his face. You lolled your head to stare up and admire his blue, blue eyes. “Tell me.”
The fragility of his voice, whispered into space, was enough to have you caving. “I had a dream. A bad one.” You paused, gaze unfocused. “Very bad.”
Ezra tensed at your side, drawing your eyes back to him quickly. You didn’t want to worry him, not when these visions had just started appearing as just that: terrible visions. “Don’t worry about it.”
But he’d taken your hand in his before you even got all the words out, his thumb tracing circles on your skin. “Tell me, please. Holding it in never helped me. Made it worse, actually.”
You knew that. You knew that better than anyone, being one of the only people on the Ghost crew to have truly seen how much Ahsoka’s death really affected Ezra. It’d been around a year since, and he was getting better, what with the Sith holocron out of reach and a good level of communication set between him and Kanan, but you remembered how close he’d been to snapping.
So you told him exactly what your dream said.
“We were there,” you started, allowing Ezra’s hand to guide you to sit up and face him. “On Lothal. It was… burning. Not entirely… but something was definitely on fire.”
He kept holding your hand even though it shook in his grasp. “You were there, right in front of me… and he was there.”
“Maul?” Ezra asked, first reflex, but you shook your head.
“No.” You didn’t even want to speak his name. “Thrawn.”
“He—he was there, and then you weren’t.” You bit down on your lip. “It was so—so confusing. I saw so many things all at once, and then you were gone, Ezra. He took you from me.”
As tears began to glint in your donwcast eyes, Ezra ached with you. The assurance that this was just a nightmare grew and then died on his tongue; sometimes, he hated being in tune with the Force, espically when he could feel it revolving around you, your words resonating with the tensity of the weight all around him.
His eyes scoured you for answers, wondering why you of all people would have to endure a vision of such heartbreak. What was worse was that you didn’t even realize any of it. It was unfair.
His hand found rest on the side of your face, his thumb wiping away the one tear to escape. “Hey, hey. I’m not going anywhere.” Shoving away the Force in one mental swoop, the air fell calm. “It was just a nightmare.”
You didn’t catch his lie, as he feared you would. Instead, you leaned into his touch with half lided eyes, the late night finally getting to you. Ezra just about melted at the sight of you. He guided you closer into his arms and reclined back onto the grass, cradling you against him as your sniffling died down.
“I’m not going anywhere,” he mumbled into your hair, as if he were challenging fate itself. Visions weren’t set in stone, he reminded himself. They were unreliable. The Force could be wrong.
Setting the worries aside for another day, Ezra began to rub soothing circles on your back, his eyes fluttering shut as the sound of crickets rose above the labour of your breathing.
The galaxy was very, very vast, and Ezra was very, very small in comparison. But you were in his arms, and that was all the galaxy he needed right then. In the morning, he would deal with Thrawn, Lothal, the Rebellion, the Empire—all of it.
Right now, he wanted for nothing but you.

lost and found - ezra bridger
Request: nope Pairing:  ezra bridger x jedi!reader Summary:  along with the remainder of the ghost crew and ahsoka, you're trying to find ezra Warnings:  HEAVY SPOILERS FOR AHSOKA S1!!! im warning u dont read this if u havent seen all of it yet Word count:  1.1K A/N: I survived the war (im posting fics again) but at what cost (brainrot has taken over)
your music is blaring through the speakers of your ship as you're working. though your ship isn't in need of any repairs, you're always finding new modifications and additions to upgrade it. at this rate, it's unrecognisable as the ship you once got from a sketchy dealer on an outer rim planet.
working on your ship is also a way to distract yourself. when you're focused on working with your hands, your mind doesn't wander off.
it doesn't wander off to hera and jacen aboard the ghost. it doesn't wander off to sabine and ahsoka on her T-6 shuttle. but mostly, it doesn't wander off to ezra. you try not to think about the fact hera is on an unauthorised mission, that you haven't heard from sabine and ahsoka in a while which is unlike them, and that you feel like you're not even a little bit closer to finding ezra.
even though you haven't seen him for years, you refuse to believe he's gone. you tell yourself you would simply know if he didn't make it. before you lost him, the two of you shared a strong bond in the force. you figured if something had happened to him, you would have felt it.
but after all of these years, it's hard to hold on to hope. you really want to. but at some point logic has to take over.
though recently, hope has sparked in you yet again. with the map ahsoka found, the chances of finding ezra have increased. you are optimistic again.
but the search hasn't been without danger. even now, you're worried.
which is why you're working on your ship. otherwise you'd just pace around or stare off into the distance with your mind running around in circles getting lost in the "what ifs".
a faint beeping sounds pulls you out of your thoughts. you get up from your position underneath one of the main consoles and get your comm.
'general syndulla for commander y/l/n.' comes hera's voice.
'go for commander y/l/n.' you say.
'hey y/n, where are you right now?'
'just working on my ship in the main hangar back on base.'
'new modifications again?'
'yeah, yeah, I know. "a good ship doesn't need modifications." well, I like them. the ghost could use some upgrades as well, you know.'
'no thank you, my ship is perfectly fine.'
you chuckle as you wipe your hands on your pants.
'have you heard from sabine and ahsoka yet?' you say. 'and when are you coming home from this unauthorised mission?'
'sabine and ahsoka are alright, we're actually on our way now. and we have some news regarding ezra.' says hera.
'you have news on ezra?' you say, unable to hide the relief in your voice. 'do you know how to find him? or where he is? is he okay?'
'we'll talk about it in person. we should be arriving soon.' says hera.
'I'll wait for you.'
'see you soon.'
hera disconnects her comm, leaving you alone with the music again. your mind is racing. they have news on ezra. you knew it, he's still out there somewhere. you're sure of it.
you quickly put the panel of the main console back and tidy up your tools. just as you pause your music and exit your ship, you see the ghost and ahsoka's T-6 shuttle getting closer to the hangar.
you anxiously await them, watching as they carefully land. the shuttle door opens and sabine and ahsoka come out of it.
sabine smiles as you half walk, half run up to them and pull them both into a hug.
'I'm so glad you guys are safe.' you say. 'it scared the shit out of me when I couldn't contact you.'
'we're alright.' says ahsoka, patting you on the back.
you pull back to look at them. they both look tired, but other than that they seem fine. sabine has a twinkle in her eyes and smile on her face.
'what is it?' you say. 'do you know something about ezra?'
'yeah.' says sabine. 'but hera should tell you.'
she points to the ghost, where hera has just exited the ship. jacen follows her, but is looking over his shoulder and talking to someone. at first, you assume it's merely chopper.
but as they walk further down, you see it's not chopper at all. it's a young man. he's wearing colourful robes and has a beard and curly hair.
it doesn't matter he's older than he is in your memories. it doesn't matter he still has the same eyes and the same scar on his cheek. it doesn't matter something in the force tugs on you so strongly, as if it has found its home.
none of it matters, because you would know him anywhere, in any universe, no matter who you are.
ezra. your ezra. talking with jacen as if nothing had ever happened. he's here, he's alive.
a sob escapes your mouth as you take off.
'ezra!' you yell.
you don't even bother to hide the tears as they stream down your cheeks. after all this time, he's finally here.
for a brief second you see his smile before you crash into him. you wrap your arms around his neck and bury your face in his neck, holding him impossibly close. you're never going to let him go.
words fail you as you just cry into his shoulder.
you feel ezra's arms around your back and get lost in the feeling. it's all so painfully familiar, as if no time had passed at all. yet you know everything has happened since the last time you saw him.
you slightly pull away to look at him.
ezra is smiling at you just like he did all those years ago. though he's older, he's still the same. still the same kid you met on the streets of lothal.
you reach out and brush a finger over the scar on his cheek.
'you're here.' you say breathlessly.
'I am.' he says.
you'd heard his voice in your dreams and memories and the recording sabine still has. but this is different. it means everything and more to you.
'you're as beautiful as the day I lost you.' you whisper.
'I dreamed of this day.' says ezra. 'thought about all the things I would say to you. it all seemed so simple. but now? I have no idea. nothing seems like the right thing to say.'
'but it is simple.' you say. 'I love you.'
ezra smiles even brighter. 'I love you too.' he says. 'I always knew I would see you again. we have a lot of catching up to do.'
you smile as ezra leans in and kisses your forehead. you'd finally found each other again.

Hi I Fixed the Ahsoka Ending
The stormtrooper steps out of the ship, hands raised. It wasn’t like Hera has never seen that before. She raises her pistol, questions shooting through her mind. Why is this trooper alone, why did he hail them, and, most importantly, why is something about his walk so familiar? Suspense fills the air, and she can tell that everyone around her felt it, too. The last of the steam that has spilled out of the ship’s exhaust evaporates into the air, unlike that overwhelming sense of familiarity that’s flooding her heart. She braces herself for anything, setting her jaw. Had someone she’d once been close to become a stormtrooper? She runs through a list of names in her mind, nothing turning up any results.
Who are you and why’re you here? Chopper asks, apparently done waiting in suspense. The trooper gives no answer, continuing to step forward.
What, are you deaf or something? Are you, are you, are you? Chopper chatters impatiently. But then, instantaneously, his mood changes. Which isn’t really unheard of. Wait, Chopper mutters, starting to roll forward. Hera wonders if he’s picked up on the familiarity, too. He’s always been more perceptive than people give him credit for. Chopper heads straight for the trooper, his ever-squeaky wheels (no amount of oil can fix that issue, and Hera’s tried) filling the silence.
Who are you? Chopper asks as he stops at the trooper’s feet. And it’s at that moment that Hera realizes something: her mom sense is tingling.
It can’t be.
Huh? Huh? Huh? Chopper barks, until the trooper slowly extends one gloved hand and gently places it on Chopper’s head. Then his head spins around in giddy joy, his beeps turning into little excited ones. No words attached to them, just exclamations of happiness.
And, given that he usually hates people, there are only six of them Chopper’s ever gotten excited to see.
And Hera’s got a feeling she knows which one this is.
Sure enough, the trooper reaches up to grasp his helmet, and, when he pulls it from his head, the face that looks earnestly back at Hera is one she’s missed dearly.
He looks different now. Far from the boy he once was. Navy facial hair covers the lower part of his face, and his hair is longer and curlier than when she last saw it. It had never been curly before. Human hair never ceases to amaze her.
But he’s still got that effervescent light about him. Especially when he smiles at her, looking a little nervous, but there’s excitement spilling from him, too. She can feel it, as surely as she felt that she knew him as soon as he stepped out of that ship.
Hera doesn’t even realize she’s lowered her gun until her hand hits her thigh. Shock and joy are washing over her, wave after overwhelmingly powerful wave.
And grief. Because, though it doesn’t make sense, shouldn’t make sense, somehow, he looks so much like Kanan.
Though she already knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is her boy, a part of her, the part that had always remembered the worst case scenario, that Ezra might just never come home, wants to know for sure. Doesn’t dare to believe it.
“Ezra?” she asks, dipping her head slightly, just making sure. Because she has to.
He seems to be as overwhelmed as she is, struggling for a moment to find the words. “Hi, Hera,” he greets her, and at that moment, even the most hopeless parts of her know it’s him. Because it’s the voice of a man who speaks back to her, but it’s youthful and casual and tentative and Ezra. That little boy who had been so lonely, who had looked up at Kanan and Hera like they were the most amazing people in the world every time they gave him something or complimented him, who had added so much joy (and chaos) to their lives, who had grown so, so much and made them so, so proud…he’s grown up, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone. He’s standing right here in front of her, after five long years.
He gives a little shrug, his eyes and expression brimming with joy, his smile bright. “I’m home.”
He chuckles a little, the sound sending fondness shooting through her.
Hera exhales shakily, eyes locked onto her boy, taking him in. He’s here and he’s real and if she wakes up, she’s suing the Force itself. She shakes her head a little, the feeling of her hopes finally coming to fruition freezing her in place, somehow. To be fair, it’s a lot to process.
Ezra slowly begins to walk forward, and Hera stands there for a few more seconds, but then she breaks out into a run, meeting him in the middle. She wraps her arms around the lost boy, and he hugs her back willingly, chuckling joyously, making her own laughter come spilling out of her.
“It’s so good to see you,” Ezra whispers, burying his face in her shoulder like a kid. Her kid.
She holds him closer. “I could tell you the same thing,” she replies, chuckling a little, blinking as her vision blurs with tears brought on by years of the homesickness that was being without a member of her family. By the pain that came from having no idea whether the Spectres were down to four. By having so many look at her in pity when she reported on the results of the victory on Lothal. By the obvious skepticism in people’s eyes when she told them that Ezra was missing, not dead.
They’d been wrong. She and Sabine and Ahsoka and Chopper and Zeb had been right. Though, these days, even Zeb had become disheartened. Last time they’d talked, sad skepticism had tinged his expression, too. But not for long, because Ezra is home.
And a piece of her home has returned with him.
“Welcome home, Ezra,” she tells him, her voice choked with tears. But so is the chuckle he replies with.
“Glad to be back, Mom,” he tells her, and a new barrage of emotions hits her, fondness and affection and love causing tears to leak from her eyes.
They stand there like that, just holding each other, this moment too special for any more words to be spoken.
Then she pulls away, because her Lieutenant, along with about 20 other people, are watching, and it’s starting to get a bit awkward in here.
She looks at him up close, and those blue eyes are just as brilliant and youthful and Ezra’s as ever. She places a hand on his cheek, laughing incredulously, and he grins brightly, leaning into her touch.
“What took you so long?” she asks, amusement and teasing in her tone, wiping at her eyes with her other hand. She drops the other one from his face and puts it on his shoulder.
“Sorry,” he apologizes, shrugging sheepishly, but his smile only gets brighter. “I was kinda stuck, you know. Not really my fault.”
“Fair enough,” she replies, chuckling a little.
Ezra’s eyes light up, excitement overflowing from his voice. “Oh! I have to show you something!”
Hera removes her hand from his shoulder to cross her arms expectantly, grinning. “Oh?” she asks playfully as he reaches for his belt, and then her eyes flick to the saber that rests on it.
Her heart stops beating for a second. Because that saber looks heart-wrenchingly familiar. The hilt is one she’s never seen before, but the emitter is unmistakable. It’s Kanan’s.
Hera’s breath hitches. Her gaze shifts to meet Ezra’s, shock filling her and her vision blurring again. “Is that…” she asks, her voice strangled.
“It’s not his,” Ezra finishes, understanding in his eyes. “His was one of two,” he begins, wiping his eyes, too. “The droid that helped him build his lightsaber when he was a Padawan gave me the other. And he told me a little about him, too.” He unhooks the saber from his belt and places it in her hands, and she rubs her thumb over the hilt, the familiarity of it sends a lance of pain through her heart.
“Huyang,” Hera realizes, smiling sadly, still stroking the saber, eyes glued to it. “Yeah, he’s told me some stories, too. When I needed them.”
“Yeah?” Ezra asks, a vibrant mix of curiosity and excitement and sadness all sparking in his expression.
“I’ll tell you all of them,” Hera assures him before he can ask, handing the saber back. Even though those stories would be hard to tell and talk about, he deserves to hear them. “Soon. After you tell me where Sabine and Ahsoka are.”
That’s when smile fades from his face, and Hera’s stomach drops. Dread and panic slam into her. No. Not again. I can’t lose anyone else.
“They’re where I was,” Ezra tells her, shame in his expression. Already blaming himself.
“I don’t know what happened,” Hera interjects before he can finish, even as everything in her screams WHY at the Force with all its might. It’s already taken so much from me. Was all that really not enough? But she continues, focusing on her mission, which, right now, is reassuring her adopted son. “But I know that, whatever it was, it wasn’t your fault.”
“It was their choice,” Ezra admits, nodding. “Ahsoka was fighting that Elsbeth lady so that Sabine and I could escape, and Sabine couldn’t leave her.” Ezra swallows, sadness spilling from his eyes, gaze shifting to the floor. “She…she was returning the favor. Making her own sacrifice. And,” Ezra shakes his head, chuckling ironically, “as much as I hate that, I’m also really proud of her.” He looks up to meet her eyes. “You know what I mean?”
Pain claws at her heart, but a corner of her mouth tilts up in response to his question. “Oh yeah,” she replies. “I happen to know exactly how that feels.”
Ezra chuckles, looking sheepish again. “Right. Sorry about that.”
“You’re here now,” she assures him, placing a hand on his shoulder again. “That’s enough.” Sadness seeps into her again. “Though I’d rather have all of you here.” Sabine, the daughter she’d never had. And would probably never have. But Sabine had always been enough. Hera loves her witty humor, fiery courage, and stubborn kindness with all of her being. She’s someone you never forget after you meet her, and her absence is just as unforgettable. Ahsoka, who had become her best friend over the past few years. They’d exchanged many a secretive look during important meetings, whether because of inside jokes or exchanging wordless opinions. She’d been someone who Hera had bonded very deeply with over a relatively short period of time. Maybe it’s because both of them had left their people behind at a young age. Maybe it’s because they’ve both suffered great losses. Maybe it’s the understanding that warriors share that those who have never been on the battlefield can never understand. Whatever it is, it had made them click in a way that Hera hadn’t with anyone but the Spectres in a long time.
She wonders how long it will be until she sees them again.
“I can find them,” Ezra tells her, determination filling his voice, jolting her back to reality. “The Force will guide me, and I know that planet like the back of my hand. It’s practically a part of me now, so I know I can find it on a starmap.”
“I believe you, Ezra,” she tells him, letting her genuineness show through the look she gives him. Then something pops into her head, something she’s been wishing she could tell him this entire time. “And hey,” she begins, her voice quivering, just a little. “As much as I hated that sacrifice you made, I’m so proud of you.” His face lights up, and it melts her heart to know he still cares that much about her approval.
“And Kanan would be, too,” she continues firmly, looking into her boy’s cobalt-hued eyes, which fill with grief and joy and a thousand emotions she doubts either of them can name. “He’d be so, so proud of you. You learned well, Ezra.”
He’s lost for words, his hand unconsciously going to his saber and fidgeting with it. His expression grows heavy with pain, with all the emotions that come with losing someone you love so much. Hera wonders just how much he’s let himself grieve over the last few years. And she aims to help him in any way she can.
“Thank you,” he murmurs, his voice and eyes weighted with how much what she said means to him. “I needed to hear that.”
“I had a feeling,” Hera replies, smiling sadly.
“You’re always right,” Ezra tells her, a bit of that unstoppable playfulness infusing his expression.
He hugs her again, and not for the last time, either.

Ezra is 1000000% the type to basically become Gomez Addams once he’s in a relationship~
You know those scenes where Gomez & Morticia are fencing and dancing at the same time.. yeah that.. but with Ezra and a Force sensitive Reader, it’s Lightsabers~
They are unashamedly in Love~ pda is just their reality~ always very respectful of each other~ and rarely ever seen apart from each other~
the dance of love.
pairing: Fem!Reader x Ezra Bridger
warnings: none, fluff
word count: 1,2 k
summary: Ezra‘s and your relationship could easily be described with just one word. Affection. One of your training sessions become the very example of how obvious your affection for one another is and it ends with a long cuddle session.
authors note: I actually never watched the Addams Family movies xd Had to search a lot for the scene and I still couldn’t find it- I mean I found one where Morticia and Gomez danced but they weren’t fencing in that one qwq
The ending was an last second addition, the actual story of the request had only around 800 words sooo I thought of a small addition to get them to 1000 and ended up with writing a total of 400 words more 💀
anywayyyy
this is the second ff of the december special :D

It was a sight to behold.
Nothing else mattered in this very moment, the galaxie‘s problems, Thrawn, Vader, nothing.
It was just them.
y/n and Ezra.
One might even say that the time itself stopped when they were together.
Right now was just one of these many moments.
That what was seen could’ve been described as the elegance of love at it‘s purest form.
But once again… what is elegance exactly?
These dances, singers, high end dresses or fashion labels seemed to be way to cliche for this.
No.
This was another kind of it.
More of an emotion then of anything else.
It was affection.
The room was filled with tension as y/n and Ezra once again trained with their lightsabers.
It wasn’t the type of tension which made you feel uneasy though, no, it was the opposite.
Whoever took the wrong turn and ended up at their training ground would report the exact same reaction.
Goosebumps would start to form on them.
Their training wasn’t just a ‚training‘.
These too were deep in love with one another and it was quite obvious.
The way how they were fighting against each other, try to file their skills to protect their future.. it was breathtaking.
They‘d always start slow.
Ezra would attack while y/n would dodge each strike.
When he got close enough, he didn’t let his chance pass by and pressed soft kisses on her arm while he positioned himself to the other side.
You would gladly let him do as he wish, enjoying the way how he made you feel.
It didn’t matter how long you were dating, he still made you feel like you had butterflies in your stomach and you knew that he’d be the one to catch them with his hugs and return them with his kisses.
After his affectionate actions that sadly only lasted for a few seconds, you’d be returning to your training, striking and dodging each others attacks.
He now took a step back so that you’d loose your balance due to his missing figure, striking right into the air while you tripped on your own steps.
He was quick to catch you, leading to you now starring right into his beautiful blue hues.
„Your eyes are beautiful“
„Says the most adorable being of this universe“
„They’re like endless oceans, bringing peace and freedom to whoever looks into them“
„And you definitely read way to many romance books my love“
„There’s never too many, fantasy romance books are like a door into a new reality.. a safe place for everyone and guess what“
„What?“
His voice was playful while his eyes continued to shine brighter then the night sky.
Ohhh you fell hard but believe me, he fell harder.
„You are my safe place and your eyes are my door into a better reality“
It was safe to say that your training sessions were kind of romantic.
You continued your sword fight, learnt more and more techniques and parred each strike flawlessly.
Your lightsaber training didn’t even look like one as much as it should.
It was more of a dance, even if you used your lightsabers, you two did it with such a grace that even Hera was moved.
„How did your force using skills improve?“
Ezra was the one to break the once so peaceful silence while they had to finish their fight because both of their lightsabers tips were aimed at their faces.
„I don’t know..“
You didn’t finish your sentence and guessed that it’d be better for him to see your improvement.
With the raise of you hand you gently used the force to lift him up and bring him closer to you.
„What would you say dear?“
Ezra had the perfect response.
He too raised his hand and used the force to bring you closer to him.
When you both ‚stood‘ just inches apart from each other, you simultaneously dropped your hands and stopped your use of the force.
You fell into his arms and he in yours.
„I could stay forever like this you know“
„I know.. I know“
„Then you wouldn’t mind if we’d stay here like this for a while?“
You turned your face to his, looking with puppy eyes at him, knowing that he couldn’t say no to you whenever you used this card.
„How could I say no to you? But..“
„But..?“
He smiled down at you, pulling you closer to him, whispering something into your ears.
„But.. we could also cuddle in our comfy bed?“
Your eyes lit up at his offer and you nodded as if there was no tomorrow.
„What are we waiting for then?? Let’s goo!“
„Wellllll“
Oh no.
What was it again?
„Well?“
„Welllllll, we still have to-“
„do nothing and just go? Yeah! That was my thought too!“
„Wait what are you-“
You didn’t let him finish as you grabbed his arm and ran off.
Hera and Kanan walked by the door as you nearly sprinted into them.
„Hey! Why are you in such a hurry?“
Kanan asked Ezra, knowing that he’d be more likely to give him an honest answer compared to you.
„Ahhh Kanan! It’s so nice to meet you here, isn’t this hallwa-“
„Cut the crap Ezra, aren’t you two supposed to be training right now?“
„Yes“
You said bluntly, checking if there are any more persons that may stop you after you ran past your crew mates.
„Alright then, what are you doing out here?“
„Enjoying our life, you know, our youth and so on, the beautiful gift of-“
„Okay okay! Continue whatever you were doing. Force you need to work on your excuses, both of you“
Interrupted you Hera as you gratefully nodded and once again grabbed Ezra’s arm to get to your long awaited cuddle time.
„He really wanted to distract us with the hallway“
„This kid.. he is even worse then this golden nugget of an oversized droid“
„Just like his master“
Kanan raised his eyebrow at this and turned his head to her.
„What do you mean by that?“
„Oh come on, don’t you remember the time where an imp catched you off guard and Ezra had to literally play your son or whatever excuse he came up with to drag you out of there? Or the other time when-„
„Allright, I’ve got my lesson“
She laughed at him, knowing that she once again managed to shut him up.
„I‘ll take this as a win“
„Whatever makes you happy“
You and Ezra at the meantime reached your cabin and didn’t wait any longer.
He was holding you as you curled up against him, cuddling the hell lit of each other.
At some point the both of you grew very tired and you were the first to close your eyes.
„Good night my dearest hallway inspector“
„Good night my dear“
The next thing he heard was your breathing as you fell asleep, leaning you head against his chest.
He placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and whispered sweet little nothings into your ear as he dozed off too.

Now, Ezra wasn’t one to jump to conclusions, but what other conclusion was there?
You had to hate his guts. You refused to look at him and you wouldn’t talk to him, not to mention the glare you weren’t at all trying to hide. Sabine told him to not worry about it, that you would open up on your own time. Somehow, Ezra doubted that.
Hera told him something similar about giving you time, and he understood why; it’d only been a week since your grand and harrowing rescue from the clutches of the Hutts (the crew had yet to tell him why you needed rescuing in the first place).
A few months into joining the crew, it became clear that someone was missing. Sabine’s room held the belongings of another, another person’s blanket and pillow situated on the bottom bunk. An utterance of a stranger’s name was sometimes whispered, accompanied by shadowed looks and a tense silence.
When he got up the nerve to ask, Hera had pursed her lips and crossed her arms. “There’s a reason you’re Spectre 7, not 6. Six is… somewhere.”
“How do we find them?”
Hera hadn’t given an answer, simply letting out a sigh and turning to go back to her tasks.
So the mystery of Spectre 6 lived on, remnants of this girl coming to him in pieces. Little jokes here and there about how Six would yell about this or how she would laugh at that. Ezra started to piece together an image of this girl in his head, imagining a smiling figure with fuzzy features, doing flips and handstands across his mind.
“If only Six was here,” Zeb commented into his comlink as he and Ezra balanced across a skinny support beam. “Little acrobat would come in handy.”
Kanan and Sabine stayed up at odd hours of the night when they weren’t aware Ezra was watching from around the corner, mumbling to themselves as they scoured databases for clues as to where the lost Spectre had gone.
“Bingo,” Sabine grinned, frantically tapping Kanan’s arm. “The mercenaries that took her are from Corellia.”
Kanan set a hand on her shoulder. Hope flashed in his eyes. “Good work. We’ll get her back soon.”
Whoever she was, she sure meant a lot to the crew. So much so that he started to grow bitter at whatever had taken her away—Ezra started to want her back just as much as the rest of them.
And so naturally, when Vizago crawled out whatever hole he dwelled in to drop off a message from the Hutts, Ezra was a rapt listener—it went something along the lines of, “Take back your sewer rat… for five thousand Imperial credits.”
“We don’t have that money,” said Sabine, her voice a new dangerous low. Her eyes lasered in on the table before her as a sense of fury rose within the common.
Zeb scoffed, his fists curling. “Why weren’t the Hutts out first guess? Of course they wanted her back.”
“Why?” Ezra asked without thinking.
While Zeb’s eyes flashed darkly, Kana answered offhandedly, “Back before we found her, she worked for them—the Hutts—she was their prize weapon.”
“We got her out,” Hera said softly. “But a few weeks before you got here… she went out on a solo mission.” She hugged herself. “I shouldn’t have let her go.”
“She would’ve gone whether you let her or not,” Sabine quipped. “That’s how she is.”
Ezra stepped forward and set his hands on the table everyone gathered around, his eyes raising to assess his friends. “Let’s stop talking about it and make a plan. She can’t be safe there.”
The rescue mission itself was near flawless; Kanan and Hera went forward with a crate “full of credits.” Plot twist: there were no credits. Coming in behind them, Sabine and Chopper infiltrated the lower kitchens of the Hutts’ headquarters, taking out a few droids and taking one prisoner. With a few gentle threats, Sabine sent word to Zeb and Ezra exactly where Spectre 6 was being held.
That was where the plan went awry; while Zeb was held back by a wary yet naive droid, Ezra slipped past unnoticed, casting Zeb a wave as he dove around a corner and headed deeper into the fortress.
Finding the cell wasn’t much of a problem, nor was getting the door open—the problem at hand was getting you out of the cell.
You were curled into a shadowed corner like some kind of alley cat, eyes lifting to gaze upon him with nothing but contempt. From the moment he saw you, he had the sense you disliked his very being.
Somehow—he still wonders how—he managed to convince you he was with the Ghost crew, luring you out of the cell and leading you to where the others had started up a racket after getting caught with no payment. The final escape was slim, and your hair was singed from a too-close blaster fire.
Ezra noticed, eyes wide as he moved to swat at the slowly rising smoke. “Are you okay?”
You swatted him away, glare ready and waiting. “Fine.” And you disappeared, rushing deep into the ship with a frazzled Hera on your tail.
His every attempt at communication after was met with backlash. You really did seem like a cat in his mind, all hissy and skittish.
“Be patient,” is what everyone told him, but really, it was getting out of hand. After three months of your return, you had yet to drop your hatred, and it was starting to interfere in missions.
Just last week he’d been about to make a shot that would have saved time concerning a quick escape when you completely ignored his presence and tripped him.
“Sorry,” you’d said, not sounding very sorry at all.
That wasn’t the end of it either.
“Do you need something?”
“Go be useful, if you can.”
“Could you be more amazingly purposeless here?”
Ezra had to give it to you, you certainly had a knack for tearing down a guy’s self-esteem. Each insult seemed to roll off your tongue so easily that Ezra came to correlate your voice with a bad day.
You could not possibly have made Ezra feel more unwelcome, despite everyone’s assurances that you’d warm up eventually. Ezra started to question the crew’s definition of eventually. He really hoped you would start to like him soon, because you were quite possibly one fo the coolest people he’d ever seen.
When you weren’t actively making his life difficult, you were training day in and day out, practicing acrobatics atop the Ghost. Not to mention, if he and Kanan didn’t have some sixth sense thanks to the Force, your movements would be deadly silent. You moved like a specter, like your feet never even touched the ground.
Today was like most days in accordance with you; you ignored his existence save for the occasional backlash whenever he stepped into your vicinity, and Ezra was left to wonder after the dark and nearly forlorn look constantly trapped in your eyes (he always tried to despise you, like he could easily despise Zeb at times, but there was something in how lost you looked that stopped him).
Though, today was different. Every once in a while you took to the habit of taking his beloved helmet for reasons only the stars could know. On these days he could scour the Ghost to find you lazing about like a cat, donning his helmet as you stared at the expanse of sky from the gunner.
So he immediately set out for the gunner of the ship, already preparing his quippy remark, only to falter when you were nowhere in sight. Ezra squinted at the vacant seat, zeroing in on the dual beskar knives safely in their sheathes. Beskar, he awed for the umpteenth time. He’d asked after them too many times to count, only receiving one answer from Sabine: “We used to have similar lines of work. She was very skilled at hers. That came with perks.”
And the mystery of you expanded, as it always did.
“Hey.” Ezra looked into the dimness of your and Sabine’s room, finding the latter at her desk fiddling with her recently damaged blaster. “You seen Six?”
“Why?” She sighed as her blaster sparked up again. “You gonna start problems?”
“Okay, one, I never start anything with her. Two, I just want my helmet back.”
Sabine threw her blaster down, frustrated. “Haven’t seen her today. You checked the gunner?”
“Three times, just in case she was hiding.” That got a laugh from Sabine, who shifted to stand and stretch.
“Then I dunno how to help you, kid. She’s gotta be somewhere.”
That would have been fine advice, if for the rest of the day Ezra didn’t continue searching the recesses of the ship, his intent slowly shifting from demanding back his helmet to just making sure you’re still alive.
Ezra burst into the common room around the time the whole crew was gathering to grab something to eat at the end of the day, his hands planted on either side of the door as he said with a sudden urgency. “Has anyone seen Six?”
Sabine had the nerve to roll her eyes. “Again with the helmet? She’ll give it back—”
“Has anyone seen her?” Ezra cut in to demand once more, scanning his eyes across the room. “Think.”
Only a moment passed before the others started to furrow their brows and shift around. Hera glanced up at Ezra. “Not since this morning.”
A murmur of agreement ran through the crew. No one had seen her all day, neither had they heard her voice from across the ship, shouting about something or other that someone had done wrong.
Thus, the manhunt began, but even when everyone was shouting your name throughout the ship, there was no response. Lothal’s moons had already risen about halfway into the sky. Creatures started to come out at this hour, varying from the wild things to troopers.
You were out on the Lothal plains after dark, without your knives, and Ezra suddenly forgot every wrong you’d done against him. You were a pain in his ass, but if you were gone, he wasn’t sure what he’d do.
Setting out was the easy part, Hera and Chopper staying behind to watch the Ghost whilst the others rushed into the night, armed with their weapon of choice. Ezra took one of the stolen speeders stowed away in the hold, swinging a leg over and taking off across the plains as Sabine took the second speeder in the other direction.
Ezra tried to ignore the wind hitting his face and focused solely on the hum of the speeder, the sway of the tall grasses, and the sudden and faint flutter of a heartbeat somewhere in the distance. Over the course of his training with Kanan, Ezra took to secretly memorizing the sound of your spirit, not wanting to be on the receiving end of your notorious sneak attacks.
Practically shutting off everything other sense, he leaned to the right, following the ringing of your heart and soul deeper into the plains. The grasses grew taller here, unhindered by farming, and rocks stretched high into the sky, forming a sort of labyrinth between them. He weaved the speeder in and out of several stone mountains, sensing the ring growing closer.
The ground elevated into a slope as the rocks fell away to reveal dusty ground, and Ezra took a left at the very last large mountain. It opened up to a bluff overlooking the East. Ezra slowed the speeder to a light rev, the ringing now a strong buzz, and your heart a steady beat in his head.
You were here, that was for sure.
Cutting the ignition, Ezra stepped off the speeder and sauntered forward, eyes scanning the area. Just when the buzz and ring of the force grew too much, Ezra caught a movement ahead of him, and the sounds all fell away. A figure was sprawled out on the grass, shifting every few seconds like they couldn’t get comfortable.
Then the figure sighed, and Ezra confirmed it was you (he’d heard that agitated sound enough times to know it as yours).
Ezra should have learned by now to proceed with extreme caution, but he had always been a stubborn learner, so he trudged through the grass uncaring of the crunching underfoot. You lurched upward like a frightened animal, eyes locked on him in her instant. Ezra instantly drew a mental image of a loth cat, hackles risen and fangs bared. The likeness was uncanny.
“What’re you doing here?” You sat back slowly, examining him carefully.
He nearly scoffed. “I was about to ask you the same thing.”
Blinking blankly, you turned and plopped down on the grass, facing the plains. He stood for an awkward few moments before you snapped, “I’m fine. You can go.”
“Yeah, right.” He plopped down in the dirt beside you, a generous berth between you. “You scared the kark out of everyone.”
Your answer was instantaneous. “Why?”
Ezra paused, thought some, looked at you, and spat the awkward words out. “We care about you.”
You waited for the blow, the butt of the joke, but it never came, and you were left awkwardly staring at his profile. “Oh.”
“Is that a surprise?” he wondered.
“No,” you shook your head. “Not for the others…”
Ezra rolled his eyes and leaned back on his hands, unable to take it any longer. “Can I ask you something? Why do you hate me so much?”
You blinked as if the question shocked you, and wasn’t at all valid. “What? I don’t hate you.”
“Coulda fooled me,” he scoffed. You huffed and turned away, crossing your arms over your knees.
“Well, I don’t. You’re just…”
“Just what?”
Pursing your lips, your eyes darted back to meet his, brows furrowed. “Annoying.”
Ezra met your gaze back with a mirrored intensity. “And you’re rude.”
“I wouldn’t be if you’d leave me alone.”
“We’re on this crew together!” he snapped. “I physically cannot ignore you. So, if you could get over whatever grudge you have against me, that’d be great!”
“Don’t—” You got a grip on your emotions, averting your attention to the sky. In a softer tone, you warned, “Don’t yell at me.”
Taken aback, Ezra gave you an odd look, shifting to catch your eye. You just shifted further away from him, grunting something under your breath. You’d always been so haunted and withdrawn. No one would ever tell him why.
It couldn’t hurt to ask.
“Are you…” He hesitated, waiting till you cast him a glance. “Are you okay? Why were you with the Hutts? And what does it have to do with bounty hunters? Why—”
You sneered as your hand clamped down on his mouth, nearly knocking him backward. Holding his eyes in a glare, you huffed. “Just shut up, okay? You ask too many questions.” You plopped back down and retracted your hand. “Annoying, like I said.”
“I want to help you.”
“Did I ask?”
The silence was thick, broken only by the chirping of bugs in the tall stalks all around. You ran a hand over your face, almost trying to hide, before sighing and glaring at the sky. “Whatever… I used to be something of a bounty hunter. A weapon, more like.”
Ezra felt like that should have been obvious, and did his best to hold back his questions as you shifted uncomfortably. “Some bad people with the Guild found me as a kid, when I was just some nobody doing acrobat tricks for money. They thought I had potential, so they just… took me. Didn’t really matter. It was better than the streets, I guess.”
Tugging at your hair, you gave a little shrug. “They taught me a lot about killing and stealing and what-not. Long story short, I was sold to the Hutts like this shiny new assassin toy.” You pumped a fist. “Yay.”
He felt a little bad for grinning, sniffing as he nodded. “Then what? You got here somehow.”
“I’m getting there,” you gritted. You tried to look pissed, but couldn’t hold back a slight grin. “Sabine found me, like, a year before they found you. She was on a mission, and I tried to pick-pocket her. She chased me a mile around the city before she caught me.  A shorter story short, the crew helped me escape the Hutts, and the rest is history.”
One thing still didn’t add up. “How’d the Hutts get you back?”
“Oh, uhm… they caught me.” There is was again; haunted, a shadow crossing your eyes as memories played up in your head. “I, uh, didn’t think the crew would come after me, to be honest. I kinda resigned myself to a life trapped on Tatooine.”
You caught his eye. “Then you showed up and broke me out.”
“Was that such a surprise?”
“Maybe. I mean,” you murmured whilst playing with the grass. “It didn’t take too long for them to replace me, did it?”
And suddenly, it all fell perfectly into place. All the hatred and coldness, the malice and contempt… you thought they’d replaced you. Really? Ezra coudln’t stop the laugh bubbling out of his chest, not even when you shot him a deathly glower.
“What’s so funny?”
“You just—What?” Ezra shifted ot his knees, beaming down at you as he shook his head. “They never replaced you. All I ever heard when I joined was about this mysterious crewmate they’d lost.” He flicked your forehead. “If they replaced you, then why’re you still Spectre 6 and I’m Spectre 7?”
You started to snap back only to stop short, gaping like a fish as you grasped for some kind of defense. You couldn’t find one, apparently, and promptly snapped your mouth shut.
“I never thought of that,” you muttered at last.
No duh. Ezra barely held back a roll of his eyes. “Think about it then.”
You did (he could tell form your thoughtful sneer) and you slowly raised your gaze to look at him again. The haunting was still there, but your eyes were softer than they’d ever been when laid upon him. “I’m… sorry.” The way your face scrunched up amde it seem like ti was painful to say, your monotone going on, “The way I’ve treated you hasn’t been fair.”
“Thanks,” he said with a gentle nod, and an awkwardness settled around the pair of you. “So… wanna head back?”
Instantly you shook you head, returning your attention to the sky. “Not yet. Wanna watch the stars.”
He noticed your lack of jacket just as he shivered. “You’ve gotta be cold.”
“Eh,” you shrugged. “I’m fine. You can head back if you want.”
Ezra didn’t move an inch. All he could think wa sthat maybe, he was finally going to get to know the Six the crew knew. The one who laughed freely and pulled tricks. The one that played hide and seek with Kanan and was always so frustrated when he cheated and used to force to find you.
So he stayed right where he was, lazing back on the grass to have a better view of the sky. “Nah. I’ll stay.”
You cast him a short glance as you laid back as well. “Okay…”
Only an hour later, when you’d fallen asleep and punched Ezra when he tried to wake you (“I’m sorry!” “Yeah, yeah.”), did you and Ezra head back to the Ghost. You kept falling asleep on him, forcing him to use one hand to steer the speeder and the other to keep you hands around his middle.
Relief coursed through him when he caught sight of the ship, warm light flowing from the open hatch, a few silhouetted figures pacing back and forth. He pulled the speeder to a stop and leg you go, sighing even as you slid off and hit the ground with a thud.
Probably not the best choice, especially not when Hera bolted from where she sat and rushed to your side. “What happened? It she all right?” She glared up from the ground. “Ezra!”
He raised his hands in surrender, trying to defend himself, when you groaned and blinked blearily around. “Why am I on the ground…?”
Hera gripped your shoulder and held your face in her palm, startling you. “Are you okay?”
You nodded hesitantly and tried not to seem too content with the soft touches. “Yeah? I was just asleep.”
Harsh footsteps echoed form the ship and out stomped Zeb moments later, rough around the edges per usual. “Where’ve you been!?”
“Uhm, out?” you replied, brows vaulted as Sabine rushed out beyond him. The whole crew stood around, all looking a mix of relieved and pissed. “I was just up on the bluffs…”
Hera let out a sigh and allowed you to sit up on your own. “And that’s fine, but you should tell someone before you disappear all afternoon.”
“I didn’t think it mattered that much.” You shifted around and stood to your feet, crossing your arms over your chest.
No one really said anything, only exchanged odd glances, until Hera blinked quickly and set a hand on your shoulder. “You look cold. Come on.”
She made to guide you inside when you suddenly stopped, turned to Ezra, and grinned tightly. “You’re… not so bad.”
And with that, Hera dragged you into the warmth fo the Ghost, leaving behind you a fairly confused crew. All eyes fell to Ezra as he smirked and gave a simple shrug. Sabine offered up a smile of her own before she snapped and pointed at the boy. “Oh, you were looking for your helmet right?”
He’d completely forgotten. “Oh, yeah.”
She passed a hand over his hair, ruffling it up. “It’s under your desk, idiot.”
Ezra huffed, hiding the flush in his cheeks as he muttered under his breath, following after Zeb and Sabine as they headed inside the ship. The hatch rose up behind them and hissed shut just as Kanan came up beside Ezra, one brow raised.
“So you two are friends now?”
He rolled his eyes at that. “I think so? She’s very cryptic. But, I don’t think she hates me.”
Kanan laughed. “That’s a start, I suppose.”
Ezra had to agree.
And as time would pass, and your walls slowly tore down to reveal a human so bright and radiant, both you and Ezra nearly forgot all about the days you’d come close to murdering him.

(ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ready to take on the galaxy together ✨ (or go live in peace together, either way is good 💜🧡)
A little bit of Alphita 🐺✨ trying to understand the writer and how they wanted to depict the characters in their stories again 💜 I honestly find this fun and insightful as an artist, I highly recommend 😌🤍
Once again this was inspired by Hunting Ghost by DashRenders on fanfiction.net and Ao3! I recommend the read and a continuation from this draw! I did my best, I swear it was fun just reading it through and highlighting the author’s descriptions of this Sabine and Ezra. I hope I got them right while also referencing their season 4 selves in a way.
I definitely enjoyed the creative liberty of giving color scheme to Sabine’s beskar (even tho,,, the end of the fic gives a slight indication that she doesn’t have her beskar anymore; at least her helmet, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I say no~)
Hehe my silly headcanon of Jedi having their kyber-crystal color gleam in their pupils remains 😈 hope y’all enjoy an alternative sabezra off to find their own way in a galaxy, close to being free of the empire ✨

Ahsoka Spoilers;
Ahsoka’s laugh when she reconnects with Ezra is everything to me, especially as she cups his face in disbelief.
Because we know from rebels she always had such a soft spot for him, and to see he’s alive and well to the point she can’t help but laugh in disbelief/pride/ and triumph is everything to me.

More Than Friends
It has been almost three weeks since Kanan and Ezra left. They were sent on a top secret mission by Senator Mon Mothma herself. It has been very quiet on the Ghost, except for the occasional squabble between Zeb and Chopper. Usually I like quiet, but Ezra promised me before he left that he would contact me, and I have yet to hear from him. I’m not gonna lie, I miss him.
We became pretty close after Kanan lost his sight and cut himself off from all of us. We both finally had something in common: we missed our “dad.” We spent a lot of nights just crying together, talking about our favorite memories or missions. Things were going great for the two of us. Then I had to face my family and help my people on Mandalore, and now he is on a secret mission for who knows how much longer.
A faint beeping breaks me out of my thoughts. Where the heck is that noise coming from? I see a holoprojector on my nightstand with a little red, blinking light. How did this get in here? After a little examination, I realize that it’s Ezra’s. I decide to answer it, knowing full well it may not be him and could be a trick, but I don’t care. What if it is him?
“Hi, Sabine.”
“Hi,” my face lights up seeing his.
“Boy am I glad to hear your voice. I’ve missed you so much.”
Wait. He misses me? “I’ve missed you too. How is the mission going? Have you seen or found anything exciting?”
“I can’t divulge any information over comms because of the secrecy of the mission, but yes, we have. I’ll tell you all about it when I come home.”
“Do you know when that will be?”
“Soon. We’re in the final stages of the mission. I hear that…”
Soon? Final stages? That means he’s really coming home. That means we can finally spend time together again, but wait. Would he want that? What if he spent all those months with me just because he was lonely? What if I’m the only one who feels something for him? Am I the only one? Does he still like me? He used to but I used to think that was only a childhood crush. Maybe I was right. Maybe he doesn’t care about…
“Sabine? Did you hear what I said?”
“Huh?” No I didn’t. I can’t get my thoughts to settle. Everything is out of control.
“I’ll just tell you when I get back. And hey! I got a surprise for you.”
A surprise? For me?
“I’ll see you soon. Okay?”
“Yeah… um Ezra, can I tell you something?”
“Of course. Anything.”
I pause a moment before I speak again, not sure if I should say it. “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum.”
“What?!”
“I have to go Ezra. Talk soon.”
I can’t help but feel that I just made a huge mistake. What if I’m wrong?
