WIP Wednesday!

Oof, those last two episodes...not comfortable.

So, here's a piece I've been working on and off. It made me smile, hope it does for you too.

We're in the AU where Clone Force 99, along with thousands of clones they've rescued, have become a part of the Ring system. It's a crossover of Star Wars and The Expanse and y'all can read it here.

It's been 20 years since they escaped the Empire in 'Far Past the Ring'.

Let's talk about it!

Omega is in her early 30's, and girlfriend's been running shots between the Sol system and the Empire for over a decade. She knows her shit. She runs a serious underground for clones and Rebels and Jedi on the run. She has connections everywhere. You don't fuck with her. Even the Laconians give Omega a wide berth.

Tech (who is now going by the Belter version of his name, 'Teki' with his wife's last name of Drummer) is a high-ranking officer within the Transport Union, the chief of engineering (LTG). It's The Expanse, so he got some anti-aging drugs. Won't make him young but slows it down enough that he can go Silver Fox like a normal dude. He's looking at a quiet retirement, but Omega is snapping that he needs to get off his wrinkly butt and help her out.

The lovely young brunette next to him is Tech's half clone/half Belter daughter, Cpt. Omega 'Meg' Drummer. Yup, the sweet toddler from 'Far Past the Ring' is in her early 20's now! A college dropout, she ended up helping Omega in the rebel underground instead. Meg did go back to earn a double degree in nuclear engineering and political science*, and then went right back into helping out rebel cells.

I'll keep expanding it, and finish this. Why if it's not canon? Because it makes me happy, and I hope it makes you happy too.

Danny reincarnates into a test tube, with a grief-stricken Timothy Drake staring at him in shock. The 100th cloning attempt worked.

Danny, having been dead for a very long time, decided to reincarnate, because I love that trope.

He reincarnated into the clone baby of Kon that Tim was trying to make. But Tim couldn't ever get over the hurdle that kept making the clones inviable, so the 100th was just half his DNA and half Kon's.

Danny is the son of a teenage father, who is grieving the death of his other father, and apparently a lot of other people if the ghosts surrounding the teen hero have anything to say.

Danny had reincarnated for a go at a lazy, nice life. Just relive being mortal for a bit.

Instead, he's kidnapped by Ra's Al Ghul to force Red Robin to take care of the Council of Spiders.

delighted to listen to a nine year old discussing his thoughts on star wars. his dad’s been introducing him to the movies in release-date order, and they’re now halfway through The Force Awakens. here are his hot takes:

- best movie: phantom menace. qui gon and obi wan and yoda and anakin are all really cool.

- worst movie: return of the jedi. it took too long to save han solo; jabba is gross to look at and slave leia was weird to watch, ‘and they call it PG!’

- best characters: luke skywalker. anakin skywalker is second-best because he becomes darth vader. (this was very disappointing to discover)

- best villain: darth vader (even if he’s anakin). but dooku was also very good. palpatine is ugly.

- favorite jedi: yoda.

- biggest complaint: it would be better if anakin wasn’t darth vader. and, why did they kill padme? she would be a better vader. they should bring back anakin for the new movies. no, not as a ghost, just bring him back.

Daniel Wayne, the younger toddler brother of Bruce Wayne and the son of Martha and Thomas Wayne had been kidnapped the night their parents were murdered.

Daniel had been snagged the moment their killer heard people headed to the alley and Bruce in his state of shock didn't realize it until it was far to late and could only scream in horror (from everything) as his baby brother is crying his name. (If you wanna make it even more heart wrenching, make it Danny's first time being able to say Bruce's name right and/or Bruce had said some mean things to Danny earlier after he accidentally broke something of Bruce's, something like 'I wish youd go away' or 'I never wanted a brother, you're such a bother!')

Bruce is being held by Alfred as some police officers are chasing down the Wayne's parents killer while some stay behind to see if they could do something.

Minutes turn to hours and as they wait, praying the police at least found Danny, Bruce is ridden with guilt. From his parents death to allowing his brother to be kidnapped.

Eventually the police return to give Alfred and Bruce the news. And it's not good.

The killer escaped and Danny was nowhere to be found.

And it would take many years before he would be found.

Bruce gets a call from Damian during school hours one day. When he answers he is greeted with Damian demanding him to get to the school and explain himself.

Confused Bruce asks what does he mean and Damian responds with

"The two new students in class today are the spitting images of you and I father! Either they are poorly created clones or you have more hidden blood children!"

Meanwhile the very students being discussed are calling up someone too

"Ellie? Dan? What's wrong? You better not have made too much chaos already, I just paid for the uniforms for that place."

"DAD! I THINK ANOTHER ONE OF THE FRUITLOOPS FAILED CLONES SOMEHOW SURVIVED!"

Clark is taking Kon and Jon out for a classic, super-style bonding flight. Just a quick jaunt around the US and back!

They don’t get far. Somewhere in Illinois airpace, they run across another family.

The three (a hulking man, a snarky teenage boy, and a cackling youngest girl, each a grayscale blur in the blue, blue sky) throw neon-lit beams of energy at one another, quips and insults flying almost as fast as they do. It looks like training. It looks like fun!

The boy of them looks like a younger version of the man. Exactly like, even. Clark is familiar with clones.

The youngest, a girl, looks like both of them, but not quite. Perhaps she will, age sharpening her childish features, but it’s hard to say. More likely, she’s the man’s daughter.

Interested, Clark introduces himself to Dan. He seems to be a hero in his own right, even if Superman’s yet to see him in action. And it’s not often Clark sees a family so like his own!

Test Tube Babies, Spleens, and Fruitloop Father?! NOPE. No thanks.

Danny and Ellie take a small, reincarnation, vacation from their duties in the Infinite Realms (King Danny and his most trusted Knight/Princess Ellie). Don't worry, they leave the Realms in good hands (Jazz, Pandora, Frostbite, CW, etc, basically Danny's main council takes over for a few years)
