I love the idea of Danny being just Some Guy.
Like yes he’s Phantom, yes he has ghost powers, yes he’s the King of the Infinite Realms. But to the BatFam? That is just Some Guy. A random dude - if you will.
They are positively baffled by him. Like he’s completely normal as far as they (and the background check) can see. Yet, he. Is. EVERYWHERE. (Not actually but it sure feels like it.)
The kids have a running bingo card of where he’ll turn up. Outside a warehouse they’re raiding? Check. Stopped a mugging? He was the one being mugged. Tim’s favorite coffee shop? He was just hired as a barista. Seriously it’s like everytime they turn around he’s there.
Which wouldn’t be such a problem if he REACTED NORMALLY. But no. He doesn’t flee in fear, stare in awe, he doesn’t even try to say thank you. This man looked Batman in the eye and called him the furry vigilante - TO HIS FACE! He casually referred to Dick as “the flying monkey one” to Red Robin while also calling Tim a literal walking Red Flag. When he crosses paths with Duke he doesn’t always speak but he does always give him a snack. (Sometimes it’s candy, sometimes it’s fruit but it’s always food. And he only gives them to Duke.)
He once told Jason that he didn’t care that he was a crime lord and built like a brick house, Danny would kick his ass and drag his “rotted milk soul” too hell if the gun fights kept going on past midnight. (He had exams in the morning damnit.)
He will only call Damian “baby ninja” no matter how many times the kid insists that his name is Robin.
Spoiler and Orphan? The only ones he’s respectful to but even they get the occasional random comment. (“It may be a Tuesday, but if the universe is gonna make me the human equivalent of a pin cushion then I have the right to keep the knife.”) (It was actually a Friday but who were they to argue with a man bleeding out in an alley.)
Eventually the Batkids start keeping score of who has had the most out of pocket thing said to them by this random white boy.

Jason was having a pretty OK time with the league of assassins, sure getting dunked in a lazarus pit sucked and Bruce turned out to be a scumbag who didn't care about him, but at least he isn't dead. He even liked most of the new skills he was learning there so on the whole being with the league seemed like a pretty good deal to him until Talia woke him up in the middle of the night and left him alone with two child assassins.
Or, a demon twins AU where when Talia realizes her father intends to have her boys fight to the death takes action first by deciding to take all her kids and leave the league. Talia either dies or is separated from them in the initial escape and now Jason just has a bag of supplies and a letter from Talia explaining the plan to get to Gotham. Jason has to get himself and two 7 year olds out of the Himalayas, across a desert, and over 12k miles to Gotham. Only now the league members hunting them down want them dead or worse and Jason isn't too confident that B will accept them given their kill counts.
Featuring:
Good Mom Talia. she loves her kids. Did she teach them to kill? Sure, but that's an important life skill.
Single Teen Mom Jason. He's the oldest and in charge but he also will not answer any questions about The Plan™ given he isn't committed to Talia's but also doesn't have a set alternative. Oscillates between looking forward to just dumping his new little brothers with Bruce so they'll be his problem and thinking of just moving somewhere random in the US and keeping them based entirely on how cute vs annoying they are at that time. Didn't realize how much he relied on Talia to help him with things until she is gone. He's really trying his best but he wasn't all that emotionally stable before this so hang in there.
Angry Smol Dami. He's still drinking the LoS punch and really dislikes that he is now considered a traitor. Can't stand that Jason won't answer any of his very relevant questions. Is actually very scared but will not show it. Misses his mom. Didn't even know he had siblings until his mom yoinked him out of bed that night and brought him to Jason and Danny and started all this. Physically the stronger twin. Thinks Danny is dragging them down in fights and also may blame him a bit because clearly his mother only did all this to spare him.
Danny, reincarnated with limited access to his memories and powers. Has been trying to keep his powers a secret. Talia knew about them but never told anyone but she may have hinted at it in her letter to Jason. Not the strongest physically but very good at stealth and social interactions. Didn't know he had and older brother or twin before Jason woke him up at Talia's instruction that night. Thinks Damian is mean and has faith Jason knows what he's doing even if that is very much untrue.

Hey who wants a WIP to this story here that yall voted on lol
🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉👻🐦🐉
Jason took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he counted to ten and then to eight before opening them again. Nope, still there. Alright, okay. There were apparently half a dozen hatchlings who had somehow gotten into his safehouse.
He knows he hadn’t been to this one exactly recently, what with his increasing takeover of the underbelly of Gotham, but still.
There were six of them, all squished into a corner as far away from him as they could. Which on one hand was understandable, but on the other he couldn’t exactly help the jolt of hurt at the fact that he had scared them.
Then again he could literally hold them in his talons like it was nothing.
“Alright,” he huffed through one head, ignoring the sense of utter delight from the other. It was easier to ignore everything the Pit had changed, though there was a hint of relief from the fact that for once the other wasn’t full of rage and bloodlust. “Here’s what’s going to happen.”
The six dragonets- if they were even that old yet- all stared at him, eyes glittering with suspicion and wariness. Which was understandable seeing as he could practically taste the scent of blood and old injuries.
“I am going to go to the kitchen,” he motioned through the doorway with both of his tails, careful not to knock something down. Most buildings weren’t exactly built for something his size, even if he’d done his best to alter each of his safehouses. “Because I am hungry, and I’ll assume you are too.”
No response yet but the smallest- god he forgot how small hatchlings could be- at least perked up from behind her… siblings? They all had a similar scent, so they were definitely from the same nest.
He pushed back the pang at the memory of his own family before his death, before they replaced him.
“Are there… preferences or allergies we… have to worry about?” the pit-grown head was practically cooing across the bond, but the voice was raspier than his own.
Jason bit back his own coo at the hatchlings’ suspicious looks and tiny little fangs bared at him. Honestly they were all so tiny, itty baby scales still soft and fur still like down. He kept still and did his best not to overwhelm as they hissed and squawked between themselves, instead taking the opportunity to get a better look at them.

Remember those streamer aus that are normally like shipping and stuff? Well I'm more of a sucker for found family tropes and secret twin/sibling aus.
So imagine Danny starts streaming and gets somewhat of a following. His streams could just be gaming, conspiracy theories, space facts, ghost facts, anything really just note he uses a webcam. So one day a bat family member (probably Tim) stumbles across him and is like wow this dude looks like Damian. He starts show this guy around the family like "look I found Damian's doppelganger" and Damian realizes this kid looks exactly like his dead brother. If we take the direction of ghost facts that makes it all the more suspicious.
So Damian religiously watches the streams trying to figure out if this is his brother, if he is safe, if he is healthy, ect. Probably seeing some concerning signs he decides to track him down and boom reunited! This kinda au could also work for siblings of any other batfam members too the possibilities are endless!

my favorite part about a potential “bruce wayne adopts percy jackson” type of crossover is that he gets to attend galas, and thus potentially meet rachel and piper early on

A Comet’s Flare - Part 1
Inspired by this
When Alfred hears a knock on the Manor doors, he thinks nothing of it. Bruce is still at WE for a little longer and the children of the manor at school, so he opens the heavy doors to tell the guest as such and take a message.
The words die in his throat.
There’s no reason for it, not really. The young man standing before him is no more unusual than any other, his features bearing a passing resemblance to the many occupants of the Manor but only in the way that many young men with the same characters seem to look alike.
Alfred could not tell you what it was that made his mouth dry out and his steps falter.
But he could tell you with certainty that it had something to do with the way he did not gasp or feel his heart stutter in his chest.
Instead, Alfred feels a wave of melancholy wash over him and steps aside to gesture the man in.
“Would you like some tea, sir?” Are the first words he manages to get out.
The man gives him a gentle smile as he steps inside, “That would be lovely, Mr.Pennyworth.”
Alfred leads the man towards the kitchen, feeling his back prickle with the soft footsteps behind him.
He doesn’t turn back around even once the kettle is on the stove and the man speaks again, “You already know why I’m here then?”
Alfred sets his hands on the counter in front of him, gripping it for stability. “I thought I’d have more time.”
“You’ve had quite a bit of time Mr.Pennyworth. Time has been rather lenient about it, in fact, letting you borrow so much.”
“I have work to do,” Alfred says, voice tight and insistent, “The West wing is due for cleaning, I’ve just ordered the ingredients for young Master Damian’s favorite dish, it’s nearly his birthday you know and there’s a gala on the horizon- I can’t leave now, it’d never get done-
“Mr.Pennyworth, there will always-“
“Alfred. Please,” Alfred turns and faces him, “Please just call me Alfred.”
The man gives a small nod in concession, “Alfred, could you honestly say that if you finished those things, it would be the right time? That there would ever be a right time?”
“But my boy- Bruce- he needs me, they all do! I couldn’t just leave them behind like that, let them fall apart. I raised him, I helped raise all of them-“
“And now you have to trust that you raised them to stand on their own.”
The screeching of the tea kettle interrupts Alfred’s reply, making him startle like a young boy. He moves it from the stove and sets about making the tea.
After a moment’s hesitation he pulls the Wayne china down and sets a cup and saucer in front of them both.
He’s silent as he pours the hot liquid and then sits next to the man with shaky legs.
He notices the large ring the man is wearing when it clinks against the porcelain. A skull shines in the metal, dark eyes staring back at him.
“Tell me about them.”
Alfred pulls his gaze up from the ring to the man’s face, giving a hum in confusion.
“Your charges, the ones whom you care for so much that you delayed your passing by more than a few months.”
Alfred’s mouth felt dry again and he sips his tea before finding himself capable of answering, “Bruce is… to say, he’s reserved,” Alfred throws his thoughts outward in lieu of his lack of action, “He seems to think that covering up his emotions will prevent him from feeling them at all. It’s… something that I fear I may have passed on to him. The conviction that if you will it, you can control it. And we see how well that worked for me,” Alfred looks down at his hands shaking gently in his lap, he clenches his fist to still them.
“It seems to have served him well enough, Alfred. He’s achieved many things. Many people would say that that conviction has saved their lives.”
“Many people would not see how it weighs on him,” He snaps back, “His accomplishments mean nothing to him in the face of his children, and too often does that same conviction get in the way of showing them he cares.” Alfred pauses, “I let it do the same to me, and I see the consequences every day, he prioritizes his mission, his work, over his life; I did- I do the same, choosing to ignore-“
Alfred stops, mouth open in what would be a gasp, “Julia!” He turns to the man next to him, seeing his hands wrapped around the fragile cup and an eyebrow raised in question, “Please I have to tell my daughter, she lives in England still, I left her there, I need more-“
“Time?”
Alfred stops.
“But I’ve already left her behind once, I couldn’t- I can’t do that to her again!”
The man said nothing.
“I can’t! It would be unfair, not to me- to her!”
The man hums, gazing out at the garden Alfred so dedicatedly cultivates- would he have to hire someone to do it? Would Bruce or one of the boys pick it up when he was- “I am not Death. Death has already come. And gone. I am here because you did not.”
Alfred remains silent, trying to reframe the man, trying to understand anything, make sense of the why-
“It has been a long time since I was in the living world.” The man is still looking out the window as he taps his ring to the granite countertop.
Once. Twice.
Three times.
The sound echoes.
“Too long, in fact. I believe I miss it. I should like to visit, see some things, places. Do you know a good place to watch the stars?”
Alfred almost questions him, but the answer slips from his lips, “Gotham Observatory is always open at night,” Alfred feels his brows furrow, “But you’d be more likely to see anything in the woods, there’s less light pollution.”
The man hums again, closing his eyes and tilting his head back. He takes a deep inhale and then opens them to look at Alfred, his stare heavy, “There’s a meteor shower the third night from now, I would like to see it before I return.”
Something akin to hope blooms in Alfred’s chest, “The skies will be clear for a while now I’m sure, there’s no weather for the rest of the week.”
“Three nights. Only.”
Sharpness stabs Alfred’s heart but he swallows it and nods, “Of course, thank-“
“You were telling me about your charges, Bruce and… Damian, was it?”
Alfred ignores the ugly truth and let’s himself fall into the stories about the many children Bruce has taken in-his grandchildren. He could almost believe he was reminiscing with an old war friend, detailing his favorite parts of each child that came through over the years, the things that simply drove him mad, their utter lack of care for themselves, not that he could really talk at this point but-
“Alfred? Who’s this?”
Alfred is ashamed to say he startles, if only lightly, when Bruce’s voice interrupts them.
He turns to see Bruce’s confused expression, lined with concern, curiosity, a threat assessment in the movement of his eyes over their guest.
The guest in question simply stands with a smile, finishing his tea-somehow the pot is empty- before setting the cup down on the porcelain with a light clink, “The tea was delicious, Alfred. But I believe I have to get going now, places to see, things to do, all that.” There’s a slight mischievous look to the man’s smile as he nearly glides past Bruce, “Remember Alfred. Three nights. No more.”
Bruce narrows his eyes and goes after him, “Surely I can call a cab for you then, I wouldn’t want one of Alfred’s friends to be stranded. I’d just need your name…?”
The man smiles, already opening the front door, “Actually, Mr. Wayne, I think I’ll walk. I imagine it’ll be good for me.” He huffs a laugh.
Bruce hardly has time to follow before the man steps through the doorway and Alfred’s voice calls out, “Let him go, Master Bruce.”
Bruce spares one last skeptical glance to the doors before turning back to the kitchen adjacent sitting room.
Alfred is still in the same seat as when his guest had left.
He never allows a guest to ‘let themselves out.’
Bruce scans the room, trying to piece together something from the odd behavior, his eyes snagging on the china he’d seen his mother use only once.
“Who was that Alfred? Why did he leave so quickly?” Bruce asks, voice lower than usual, as it always was when he felt too many clues weren’t adding up.
Alfred sighed, clapping his hands to his thighs before standing with his usual perfect posture. He looks to Bruce with a considering smile, “How would you like to join me for a bit of gardening, my boy? It’s been too long since you’ve walked these grounds with me.”
Bruce feels his face twitch with confusion, “Uh.. Sure, Alfred. I guess we can do that..” He says, feeling oddly wrong footed.
Alfred smiles back at him, “Wonderful, Master Bruce. Now,” Alfred steps forward, putting himself in pace next to Bruce,
“Let’s catch the sunlight before it goes dark.”

Danny is Some Guy being followed
Part three? I guess, cause apparently it’s not content to stay in my head. Part One, Part Two
To say Danny was awake when he fist met these guys would be true, but to say he was fully aware would be a lie, and to live in Gotham one needed to be constantly aware.
If not, they would end up in this exact situation. Being stalked by vigilantes.
Him, Danny “Phantom” Fenton, Ghost King of the Infinite realms, was being constantly followed by a vigilante family. At least Danny assumed they were a family after hearing Red Hood call Nightwing “little brother.” (“I’m older than you.” “Yeah but you’re shorter.” “That’s not how that works!”) Also there was a child and at least three teenagers running around in spandex and armor. If they weren’t a family Danny wasn’t half-dead.
Anyway, Danny was pretty-sure they were watching him. His only guess as to why, well it started with a comment he made when slightly delirious. Because on that night when he was awake but not really, he called Batman the the fury-vigilante. In front of who the young king now realizes might be the bat’s son.
Danny understands that it might have been embarrassing but also it was just a comment and not even an original one! A lot of people called him that! And sure, not always to his face but still it could not have been his first time hearing it.
So Danny saw it as unnecessary to send out his army of (admittedly nice) children to harass Danny whenever they could. It was getting old and they always looked at him as if he was the odd one. Which he was but they didn’t know that. Like, Danny is just trying to get to where he needs to go, you people are the ones squaring up to random thugs on a school night.
Not that Danny didn’t appreciate the constant rescues, but he knew the life of a teenage vigilante and it wasn’t an easy one. Danny had a list of regrets and the scars to prove it. Hell, Baby Ninja looked younger than Danny when he first started.
In the first month of being shadowed Danny was sure he had met all of Batman’s children, either by rescue or confrontation. (How was he supposed to know he wasn’t allowed near that wearhouse?) He decided that Red Robin and Signal were his favorites, they spoke to him as a fellow person. Dickwing was his least favorite. After the incident with the Fenton anti-creep stick and four creeps, Dickwing started to lecture Danny on self-preservation and “being too young to put himself in that kind of danger.” Danny had stared pointedly at Baby Ninja on the fire escape (not that Dickwing noticed.)
Danny didn’t really now what their goal was, so far outside the three a.m. gun fights, the hypocritical lectures, and Baby Ninja’s prickly nature, the Batkids weren’t so bad. Still Danny wasn’t going to tell them his name. Hello? they were following him. Yes they were vigilantes but they were also stalkers and Danny had rights.

I haven't seen anyone exploring the intersection of Trans! Danny and Secret Sibling! Danny.
(Insert Batfam member) knows that they have a sister, but, for reasons, they've been separated.
Maybe they've been looking for her, but can't find her. Or maybe they decide to let sleeping dogs lie.
Either way, one day this dude shows up and they assume he's a clone. They go after Danny assuming he's evil, shenanigans ensue, and they end up with the enough hair or blood for a DNA test.
Not a clone. A sibling. And the DNA is XX, not XY.
OR mistaking Dani as Danny and recognizing her as little sister. But Dani doesn't know who this guy is because Danny never told her he's adopted. (She knows Danny is trans. He told her because he was worried she's got self-esteem issues from Vlad calling her imperfect since she's a girl. Like, "I want you to know that you're perfect. Fruit loop doesn't know I'm AFAB.") Batfam member assumes she's forgotten about them. If they meet when she's in ghost mode, they assume she's had some kind of tragic accident that's caused amnesia.

So, the Sunlit Gotham Sequel (TBN) is officially underway in terms of planning/writing. I'm hoping to start officially posting in March, giving me some time to get a good handful of chapters done ahead of time so I'm not dedicating all of my free time to writing a chapter a week while posting (again)
That being said, I'm gonna be having some Twitter Thread convos in the first chapter (and maybe some later chapters - idk on that one) but I am apparently struggling hard with coming up with usernames/handles for it (keep reading below the line if you're interested in helping out)
I need help with handles (and maybe comments) for people who are:
Pro-Wayne's
Anti-Wayne's (or jaded towards the Wayne's)
Highschoolers from Sky's old school who would have made memes about a random kid from their school getting adopted by Bruce AND random Gotham Academy kids who would also be tweeting about it
People who are Pro-Meta/Demigods
People who are Anti-Meta/Demigods
People who are jerks online and don't really respect the privacy of celebs (if you've read certain MiraculousXBatfam fics where social media goes wild about Marinette maybe being a Wayne then you know the vibe I'm looking for with these people)
And finally, people who don't like the above category of people and come to the defense of the Wayne's/Kent's/Richardson's
So I guess if anyone has any suggestions and/or would like a cameo in Sunlit Gotham feel free to comment on this post or message me!
ALSO MEMES!!!! I will definitely take any memes you think people in Gotham would be making with a New Vigilante, New Wayne Kids, Bruce and Selina being engaged, and the fact that Mythological Stuff is real
(Please keep in mind that I cannot guarantee every name/comment will be used as I'm not fully sure how the convos will turn out yet, but I'll make sure to credit everyone who helps out no matter what)

I see all of your "Danny runs away after a reveal gone wrong, ends up in Gotham and is eventually adopted into the BatFam (or BatPham, if you will)" and raise you:
a newly (half) resurrected Jason Todd ends up wandering the Ghost Zone until Danny finds him and takes him home with his loving and understanding parents after a reveal gone right, to help him deal with being a halfa and his new powers in a place where ghosts are such a common sight he won't really stand out and gain unwanted attention, with people that already have experience in this kind of situation and only want the best for him, where he has access to the Zone and enough ambient ectoplasm anyway to help him purge the rotten lazarus water out of his core and purify the ectoplasm in his body
and maybe the Fentons aren't perfect, but they do try, because they couldn't be there for Danny when his powers had just started showing and he had to learn on his own, hurt, stressed and about to collapse every day, and they won't be making the same mistake twice, when there is a boy that needs help and a stable home; they'll do better
and Jason still finds out about Joker being alive, about the new Robin that joined Batman, and he still is angry and heartbroken, but there is no Pit Madness to make him take The Worst Possible Choices, he doesn't beat Tim, doesn't become a crimelord, he doesn't kill. he faces his mentor, his father, and still tells him "I thought I'd be the last person you'd ever let him hurt", and there is so much baggage, so many "should have", "could have", "would have"s for them to be on good terms right now, to be a family again
but Jason is not alone (he never was, in either reality, not really anyway. he could have gone home in both worlds, his family missed him, but only in this one he knows he has a home, even if he doesn't really believe he could have two), and when he goes back to where he feels safe and welcome, where he knows for a fact a new addition is not a replacement (Danielle is there, after all), in that building with a giant sign and a space ship on top (no matter what Danny says, that's what he still calls the OPS center), he is welcome back with open arms and his favourite chilli dogs waiting for him
he has a family in Amity too
and he knows, deep down, that if someone tried to really hurt him again, this set of parents will not hesitate to go for the kill

okay so im currently in a ladybug/batman/justice league phase and every time marinette is kidnapped by the riddler shes like 'your suit is so awful' but i was thinking, as someone who does love the outfit, what if she did too?
so imagine marinette gets kidnapped by the riddler who plans on doing the usual riddler thing leading batman on a multi riddle scavenger hunt to find her and the moment she wakes up and she sees his suit she loves it?
hes standing there trying to explain to her the situation she's in but she's gushing about the embroidery of the question marks and the quality of the suit and somehow, her hands are free and her sketchbook is out (how did she do that? he was watching her the entire time one second hands tied, the next shes scribbling away)
she starts designing a new suit and hes so confused and just shocked by her reaction that he just starts answering her questions about his style and color choice on autopilot while he tries to figure out what is going on
shes somehow got the tape measure out and taken his measurments (she was literally chained to the chair, maybe her hands werent secured tightly enough, but the chains?? what is happening?)
just as hes starting to pull himself together shes showing off a whole page of alterations to his suit and a whole entire new one that, not gonna lie, he instantly wants on his body immediately
one thing leads to another, a few days later marinette is walking out of his base of her own free will and the riddler is admiering his new suit and the MDC buisness card she handed him before she left
(during this batman is losing his mind trying to figure out riddlers game since he was too busy getting a new outfit to actually send the rest of his riddles so the information batman got from the first riddle never led anywhere)
