Do you think bakugou would 100% wear colorful socks under all the black clothes he wears? I'm talking about the striped or polka-dotted bright socks🧦
LMFAOOOO this has got to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever been asked… but sadly, no I don’t think he does!!!
Growing up w/ parents in the fashion industry, I’m sure he just wore whatever they bought him… which was most likely your typical black or white crew sock. Even then probably, I see him more as a barefoot-when-he-can-be guy… so I’m sure the only socks he ever wears are w/ shoes, and at work that means boots sooo… not visible.
HOWEVER, if you happened to buy him some fun socks? Like w/ hearts or flames or flowers and whatnot? He’d absolutely wear them😌

The most fun you can have, barring the pain and torture (Patreon)
#Doodles#SCII#Helix#ZEX#Teisel#Max Vyer#Zack Fair#Vlad Masters#Weird fun fact??? The last time I posted Vlad was also in the same set as ZEX so uh????? Lol#I could not have possibly planned that so please just enjoy the serendipity - I certainly am lol#Anyway <3 Mostly leftover doodles for now! There's still more especially planned/in my notes but we're at a lull#And it's time for some silliness! :D Love silliness!#Starting with a very cute tiny ZEX ??ing at slippers - he really didn't wear footwear much - or at least it wasn't mentioned so lol#Max has barefoot energy too it's fine lol#And ZEX only wears shoes in his VUX form sometimes! Surely it's just as unnecessary for humans! Hehe#After I doodled him holding a pencil like half-properly I realized oh yeah - he wouldn't do that unless directed would he haha#Much more natural to curl - or at least as close as possible with fingers - around his writing implement :D#I do wonder what he'd think of human calligraphy brushes hmm - more natural? Less? He'd certainly enjoy watching but when doesn't he <3#Oh I loved him sitting and enjoying the rain ♥ Reminded me of Gaster :D Though this came well-first hehe <3#Just a very pleasant detail - amphibious lad loving precipitation hehe#Another simple one of hanging out with Teisel ugh he kicked his legs in the absence of his tail he's so cute weh ;;♥#Hey Max is actually here for a change!! I want to give him more attention he deserves it - especially with everyone being so mean to him :')#He just wants friends! He's barely here be nice to him while he is! At least Peter was nice to him haha#You only think he's creepy because you think he's fake and ZEX is real - they're both real don't be mean#Max's clinginess is so sad here haha :') Protect him pls <3#I love ZEX's asides with Vlad lol ♪ Man I really haven't drawn him in ages too long!#Okay but the image of ZEX in a nurse costume? Amazing he'd rock it - Max even moreso since he'd understand the context <3#Get this man in a skirt and heels stat he'll look So pretty ♫

may I request riding alastors thigh? its okay if not ^^!! no rush!!
you may!! :D also got a big praise kink-y on accident!
Sweet Dreams (Alastor x Reader)
You didn’t know what time it was when you heard feather light rapping on your bedroom door, but you could only assume it was gone midnight. Barefoot, you trudged to the door and opened it, mind still foggy with sleep.
No one was there.
You even peeked out in the hallway, but still no one.
This could mean one of two things; either it was Angel pulling a stupid prank, or it was Alastor.
As if on cue, your radio buzzed to life.
“Are you awake, deary? Come up to the tower and pay me a visit, would you?”
Then, it turned off. You smiled to yourself. This is how Alastor had taken to communicating with you without disturbing anyone else. He’d send a shadow down to grab your attention (He couldn’t feel guilty for waking you if it wasn’t actually him, right?), then, he’d talk through the radio. It’s strangely charming you thought to yourself as you yanked on slippers and wrapped yourself up in a robe before making the short walk up to the radio tower.
He was sat lazily on a desk chair when you arrived. His blazer shrugged off and was hanging over the seat, tie loose and top button undone. It was weird seeing him like this, you had to admit, but it was endearing seeing him so relaxed and at ease. It also made you feel slightly warm and fuzzy how he was beginning to let his guard down around you.
“Everything okay, Al?”
He turned in his chair and smiled, head resting on his hand, “Fine and dandy, dear! I haven’t seen you all day, just wanted to check in.”
His eyes were lidded, you couldn’t tell if this was due to lust or exhaustion (though it was probably both), and his grin seemed sleepier than usual. He patted his lap, beckoning you toward him. You happily followed, dropping your robe unceremoniously on the hardwood floor leaving you in your pyjamas. You straddled his thigh facing him, and he gave you a short chaste kiss on the lips before wrapping his arms around you.
“I do wish you’d visit me more up here. I can so easily loose track of time...”
“I know, I know. I just never want to bug you if you’re busy! That’s all...”
He kissed your hand, “Don’t be silly. You’re always welcome up here. Sometimes a distraction is just what I need...”
You hadn’t noticed but his hands had travelled down to your hips, claws leaving invisible little scratches behind. He’d also slowly started gently rocking you on his thigh so slowly it hadn’t done registered until he picked the pace up. You giggled a little bit when you realized what he was doing and he just smiled up at you.
“What? I’m just making sure you get a bit of attention! Think of it as an apology for me leaving you all day, hm?”
You gave in and melted into him, your panties getting more and more sodden with each of his words. You continued riding him as he kept teasing you.
“My, oh my. You really must of missed me, look how needy you are! Well, we’ll make sure you get taken care of, hm?”
You nod, and he started tapping his foot on the ground causing vibrations to shoot through your core. You reached for the zipper on his dress pants, but he brushed you off. “Not today, dear. Just let me take care of you, yes?”
Your hands instead moved up to his chest, half to balance you and half to just touch him. He kept bouncing you incessantly as you ground down on his thigh. You were sure his leg was soaked by now, but he honestly just seemed too tired to care. You kept letting out little mewls as you rocked back and forth, the whole time his gaze never leaving yours.
“You really needed this, didn’t you? You look so pretty like this, like an angel.” He mused.
Your breathing hitched, “Ah... Close...”
He nodded understandingly, tightened his grip on your hips and bounced his knee slightly more violently, “You can cum, Darling. Don’t have to wait for permission... Not today, at least...”
You melt into him as you came, almost collapsing but he held you up. He helped you back to your feet and after checking that your knees definitely weren’t about to buckle, gathered your gown and draped it back over your shoulders before you both left his tower and retired back to the hotel.
“You’re probably as tired as I am after that...”
“Sleep with me?”
Instead of insisting he slept in his own bed, he silently walked past his bedroom door and obediently followed you to yours.

My Particular Girl
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warnings:  N/A
Pronouns: She/Her
Word Count: 0.7K
Summary: Y/N needs things to be done a certain way and Rafe understands that.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Y/N likes things done in a particular. It’s the way her brain works. People often look at her and call her childish for the things she does to cater to these needs. Because of those people, she started to believe that she had no chance of finding love. Who would want to date someone who was so picky with the things are? Then Rafe came along to show her she doesn’t need to change; instead, it is the partner who should try to be open-minded and help her out. And Rafe really does try to do everything he can to help Y/N out.
———
Y/N sits with her little cousins in the living room, listening to them recount the story behind the drawings they are currently working on. She doesn’t know where Rafe went off too, but if she knows anything about him, he is probably off trying to win brownie points with her relatives. “And this is going to be us when you and Rafe take us to the beach,” Sophie recounts, holding up the picture. Y/N’s mouth drops open, “Wow, that looks amazing.” “We look like we are having so much fun,” Rafe adds, kissing Y/N’s temple from behind the couch. She stretches her head back to see Rafe. He is holding two plates in his hands and he rounds the couch to sit beside his girlfriend. He holds out a plate for her. She notices that her plate is different from his. It is one of the special sectioned plates from their home. He catches her examining eyes and worries he got something wrong. “Did I do something wrong? Each component is in its place. I separated the mashed potatoes, the steak and the vegetables,” he starts to tangent. “Should I have separated the mixed veggies too? I knew I should’ve separated them. I know you like to be able to identify the different textures easily.”
Her hands stop him from rising to fix what he thinks is a mistake. “No, it’s okay. You got everything right. I was just surprised you brought one of my plates. Thank you,” she reassures him, giving him a kiss. He wraps his arm around her shoulder and starts eating, “You’re welcome. I’m glad I got it right.”
———
They knock on the door but don’t wait for it to be opened by someone inside before entering the unlocked house. “Yo, Top. We’re here,” Rafe announces with a booming voice. It’s just a little get-together so the couple takes their shoes off. Right as they are about to step deeper into the house, Y/N sees the carpeted floor of the house. She can already feel the uncomfortableness of the rug tickling the bottom of her feet and she flinches at the thought. Rafe gently holds her back by her shoulder, “Wait here, I have to get something from the car.” She waits for him at the entrance, preparing herself to walk barefoot on the rug. He jogs back inside and places something on the ground. Her eyes dart down to see slippers. “Where did you get these?” she questions while putting them on. He kisses her on the cheek, “I bought new slippers to keep in the back of my trunk for this exact reason.” Warmth fills Y/N and she wraps her arms around his neck. “Thank you.”
———
Y/N rests on the couch and watches as Rafe folds the laundry. Each article of clothing is folded exactly how she likes it with crisp edges. While she appreciates how attentive he is, worry starts to creep inside of her. What if he starts to realize that all the things he does to keep things to her taste are a waste of time? What if he starts to think she is too high-maintenance? He can see the gears turning in her head. “What’s wrong, Sweetheart?” he asks, leaning over to kiss her. She bows her head, “What if you break up with me because you get tired of having to do things a certain way for me like I am a child?” Rafe places what he is folding down and moves to the same couch as her. He brings her into a hug, attacking her face with kisses. “That would never happen because I love taking care of you. You are my particular girl and I would not trade you for anything in the world,” he promises.

ik you just wrote for Kurt but if I could request some sfw headcanons for him? 👉🏽👈🏽 he'd be such a cuddly man especially with that tail of his
Tumblr media
Sfw! Nightcrawler/GN!Reader
YES OFC!!! I was just thinking about this !! With how cuddly he was in the latest episode it had me all giddy and shit AAUGHH!! THIS MAN!!!
I also may or may not have gotten carried away with the fic half of this because I'm actually in love with him.
-Ps- @bl1ngringz You sent an ask for more Kurt, and I'm working on more but I figured I'd tag you in this one!
TWs: none that I can think of atm.
Tumblr media
Touch is 100% one of Kurt’s love languages. If you're close to him, he's going to be touching you in one way or another
He really likes to wrap his tail around your waist to pull you closer to him, and it's always surprising because how is his tail that strong?? The sensation of his tail being wrapped around you in one shape or form starts to become such a comforting sensation.
If you're anxious and picking and your fingers in a social situation, he'll take hold of your hand and press a kiss to your palm, and if you're less comfortable with pda, he'll snake his tail in between your hands instead. Afterwards he always checks your hands and cuticles, just in case.
Sometimes he'll have really rough days and will just really need you to hold him. He'll teleport you out of your office if he feels like you've been gone too long and he starts to worry about you. It's surprising at first, but you quickly get over it when the furball snuggles into you, quietly pouting about how long you've been gone. It's easy to tell other things are on his mind, but you know he enjoys the silence when you choose not to press him, and simply hold him tightly.
Kurt isn't just a cuddle bug. He's a cuddle MONSTER. On the couch? He'll plop down on top of you, falling asleep on you like a cat who only ever manages to fall asleep right when you need to pee. In bed? Again, no pee breaks. He usually has such a tight grip on you, only able to fall asleep buried in your arms. It doesn't matter how hot it is, if you roll away he'll feel bad. He knows you don't hate him and that you're just moving in your sleep but :( come back. He can't sleep without you!
You wouldn’t consider yourself a morning person, but sometimes you’d wake up and simply be too restless to fall back asleep. Sometimes it was anxiety, other times excitement, but today you woke up simply content. Kurt’s arms were wrapped around you loosely, which was a surprise. He’s normally fully wrapped around you, limbs tangled tightly with your own, tail wound around your wrist, ankle, or hand in his sleep. You smile as you turn around, brushing hair out of his face. He doesn’t even stir, nor lean into the warmth of your hand. You’d be freaking out if it weren’t for his steady breathing, but the two of you had a rough couple of days. If he’s sleeping this deeply, he deserves the rest.
It’s easy to slide out of his arms, quietly padding out of the bedroom barefooted. You flinch when you reach the cold wood floors of the hallway, early spring still inconsistent with its bouts of cold weather. After quietly closing the door, you make your way to the living room on the search for a pair of slippers. You had a bad habit of losing them, sometimes stealing Kurt’s instead, but you find yours set aside neatly. You smile as you slip them on, knowing that you most certainly weren’t the one who put them there.
It’s still dark outside when you start to preheat the oven, and you know you must be up way too early. You laugh a little, with how early Kurt tends to rise, you can only imagine the time. You glance at the oven clock and notice it’s a little after 5 am. You grimace just a little, deciding to ignore it for now. Might as well make breakfast.
You feel like you’ve forgotten how to make breakfast food. Kurt always manages to beat you to it, waking you up in the morning with the smell of coffee and baked goods. You used to feel bad about it, telling him that he didn’t have to. That he didn’t have to go through with the effort. You felt guilty about such a simple thing, feeling like an inconvenience to him. That feeling didn’t last long, however. Kurt had insisted that you were worth the effort, worth his love, and much more. You don’t fight him on it anymore, having taken over lunch preparations instead. He still tries to beat you to that too, though. It’s become a competition as of late, and you smile in a giddy manner, excited to see his pout when he realizes you managed to beat him to breakfast.
The sun has risen by the time you’ve finished the biscuits and set them out to cool. You’re scrambling some eggs when a tail wraps around your waist and a warm chest presses against your back. Kurt nuzzles into your shoulder, pressing a chaste kiss to the skin.
“Guten morgen.” His morning voice is groggy, and to be honest, he sounds like he’s about to fall back asleep right here in the kitchen, holding onto you like a pillow.
“Good morning,” You giggle, turning your head to kiss him sweetly. He’s pouting when you pull away, leaning his cheek on your shoulder.
“You weren’t in bed when I woke up.” Kurt mopes. You mimic his pout with a poorly hidden smile, kissing him a few more times. They were chaste, as you didn't want to get distracted and burn the eggs.
“I’m sorry. I couldn’t sleep, and I didn't want to wake you up.” You turn your attention back to the eggs in the pan, and Kurt sighs dramatically at your words, beginning to smile a bit himself. You see an arm sneakily reach over to take the spatula out of your hands, but you’re quick to hold it away from him. He smiles widely when he’s caught, pulling you flush to his chest as he tries to snatch it again with his other hand.
“No!” You giggle. “Kurt, stop it! I’m not letting you finish the eggs!” You may have the willpower to keep the spatula away, but Kurt still has the upper hand with longer arms and an extra limb. His laughs are infectious and he fights you for the utensil.
“Penance, then! For leaving me in a cold bed, I could have gotten sick, you know?” You gasp as Kurt manages to slip the spatula from your grasp. He rejoices in victory, holding it above your head as he turns back to the eggs. He kisses you on the cheek, holding you squarely in his grasp as he finishes breakfast for you, as he always does.
Today was a good morning indeed.

🐉 visiting your house for the holidays. He's used to having servants cleaning after the ground he walks on, so he's rather ignorant of common people etiquette.
Mama: "Dios mío, your boyfriend! Walking on the carpet with shoes on? Did his mama not teach him manners?"
He doesn't have a mother, ma'am.
When he learns about the slight he did to your family, he apologizes earnestly. He ends up walking around the house barefoot because nobody's got indoor slippers big enough to fit him.
Your family's opinion of him flies back up though when he helps clean the dishes, sweep the ceiling corners nobody's tall enough to reach, and easily decorate the tall Christmas tree. His reputation skyrockets when he conjures flickering lights and floating snow and made little snowmen dance to tunes the kitchen utensils and casseroles played on their own. He made Christmas literally magical, so everyone eagerly tells him to come back next year too.
You're surprised and apologize for making him, a literal prince, do manual work. He just laughs it off and comments that your family is delightful. He doesn't say it, but he's honestly just relieved that just like how you treated him the same as you did your friends, your family doesn't really look at him as anyone more than a regular guy who has to work hard to gain approval to earn their child's heart.
He just has to remember to remove his shoes at the front door next year, of course.

ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: swearing, murder of cockroach, crackfic
Tumblr media
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: based off a real experience, written at ~11 pm
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Picture this: you're minding your own business, pissing away at your toilet, and then you see a cockroach, on your shower wall.
"WRIO!!!"
With the way you're screaming all hell for him, he thinks it's a big emergency, an SOS type thing. That's why he comes rushing over.
Seeing you cowering away at the bathroom door, but certainly not in immediate danger, he calms down. "What?"
"Cockroach."
He sighs, "Just hit it with a shoe."
"I am NOT hitting it with a shoe. Can you SEE the size of that thing??"
He heaves an even heavier sigh and takes off his house slipper, then heads off into the shower half barefoot.
He closes the shower door, for your sake, and smacks the cockroach dead. It takes a few smacks, which leaves you mortified, then asks for toilet paper.
The next minute, the cockroach is spinning circles down the toilet water whirlpool, wrapped in its paper coffin.
You sigh with relief, leaning your head against the door dramatically as if you'd done all the work.
Wriothesley laughs and comes over to chide you about it, all while teasing you as well; but you stop him with a hand on his chest, enforcing an arm's length of distance between you two.
"Wash your hands."
"I didn't touch it with my hands."
You scrunch up your nose at him. He sighs, again, but obeys like the good boyfriend he is.
"Thank you..." You mutter, wrapping your arms around his waist and burying your head into his broad back as he washes his hands.
"Yeah, yeah." He huffs out a laugh, "You're lucky I love you."
"That, I am."
Why do you have a boyfriend, if not to kill cockroaches for you? True romance lies in the murder of the disgusting little things on behalf of one's beloved.

LIST OF ALL SANSA OUTFITS MENTIONED IN ASOIAF BOOKS
THIS WILL ONLY INCLUDE OUTFITS SHE ACTUALLY WORN (not ones she had dreams of or ones she saw but never worn).
Tumblr media
AGOT—
outfit one:
“She had brushed out her long auburn hair until it shone, and picked her nicest blue silks.” - sansa i
“His eldest daughter stepped forward hesitantly. She was dressed in blue velvets trimmed with white, a silver chain around her neck. Her thick auburn hair had been brushed until it shone. She” - ned iii
outfit two:
“Sansa was dressed beautifully that day, in a green gown that brought out the auburn of her hair, and she knew they were looking at her and smiling.” - sansa ii
outfit three:
“Sansa had put on a lovely pale green damask gown and a look of remorse—“ - sansa iii
outfit four:
“It was running down her nose and stinging her eyes. Sansa wiped it away with a napkin. When she saw what the fruit in her lap had done to her beautiful ivory silk dress, she shrieked again—“ - sansa iii
“She called me a liar and threw an orange at me and spoiled my dress, the ivory silk, the one Queen Cersei gave me when I was betrothed to Prince Joffrey.” - sansa iii
outfit five:
“She was dressed in mourning, as a sign of respect for the dead king, but she had taken special care to make herself beautiful. Her gown was the ivory silk that the queen had given her, the one Arya had ruined, but she'd had them dye it black and you couldn't see the stain at all. She had fretted over her jewelry for hours and finally decided upon the elegant simplicity of a plain silver chain.” - sansa v
outfit six:
“She chose a simple dress of dark grey wool, plainly cut but richly embroidered around the collar and sleeves. Her fingers felt thick and clumsy as she struggled with the silver fastenings without the benefit of servants.” - sansa iv
outfit seven:
“And there in their midst was Sansa, dressed in sky-blue silk, with her long auburn hair washed and curled and silver bracelets on her wrists. Arya scowled, wondering what her sister was doing here, why she looked so happy.” - arya v
ACOK—
outfit eight:
“She wore a gown of pale purple silk and a moonstone hair net that had been a gift from Joffrey. The gown had long sleeves to hide the bruises on her arms. Those were Joffrey's gifts as well.” - sansa i
outfit nine:
“One of the women went away and came back with a green wool shift that was almost her size. "It's not as pretty as your own things, but it will serve," she announced when she'd pulled it down over Sansa's head. "Your shoes weren't burned, so at least you won't need to go barefoot to the queen." - sansa iv
ASOS—
outfit ten:
“Cersei herself arrived with the seamstress, and watched as they dressed Sansa in her new clothes. The smallclothes were all silk, but the gown itself was ivory samite and cloth-of-silver, and lined with silvery satin. The points of the long dagged sleeves almost touched the ground when she lowered her arms. And it was a woman's gown, not a little girl's, there was no doubt of that. The bodice was slashed in front almost to her belly, the deep vee covered over with a panel of ornate Myrish lace in dove-grey. The skirts were long and full, the waist so tight that Sansa had to hold her breath as they laced her into it. They brought her new shoes as well, slippers of soft grey doeskin that hugged her feet like lovers. "You are very beautiful, my lady," the seamstress said when she was dressed. am, aren't I?" Sansa giggled, and spun, her skirts swirling around her. "Oh, I am." She could not wait for Willas to see her like this. He will love me, he will, he must . . . he will forget Winterfell when he sees me, I'll see that he does. Queen Cersei studied her critically. "A few gems, I think. The moonstones Joffrey gave her." - sansa iii
outfit eleven:
“She had no blacks, so she chose a dress of thick brown wool. The bodice was decorated with freshwater pearls, though. The cloak will cover them. The cloak was a deep green, with a large hood. She slipped the dress over her head, and donned the cloak, though she left the hood down for the moment. There were shoes as well, simple and sturdy, with flat heels and square toes.” - sansa v
outfit twelve:
“You said I must wear the hair net. The silver net with . . . what sort of stones are those?" — "Amethysts. Black amethysts from Asshai, my lady." - sansa v
Shae was helping Sansa with her hair when they entered the bedchamber. Joy and grief, he thought when he beheld them there together. Laughter and tears. Sansa wore a gown of silvery satin trimmed in vair, with dagged sleeves that almost touched the floor, lined in soft purple felt. Shae had arranged her hair artfully in a delicate silver net winking with dark purple gemstones. Tyrion had never seen her look more lovely, yet she wore sorrow on those long satin sleeves. "Lady Sansa," he told her, "you shall be the most beautiful woman in the hall tonight." - tyrion viii
AFOC—
outfit thirteen:
“This morning her eye was caught by a parti-colored gown of Tully red and blue, lined with vair. Gretchel helped her slide her arms into the belled sleeves and laced her back, then brushed and pinned her hair. Alayne had darkened it again last night before she went to bed.” - alayne
“Alayne looked down at her dress, the deep blue and rich dark red of Riverrun. "Is it too—“ - alayne i
outfit fourteen:
“The dress she picked was lambswool, dark brown and simply cut, with leaves and vines embroidered around the bodice, sleeves, and hem in golden thread. It was modest and becoming, though scarce richer than something a serving girl might wear. Petyr had given her all of Lady Lysa's jewels as well, and she tried on several necklaces, but they all seemed ostentatious. In the end she chose a simple velvet ribbon in autumn gold.” - alayne i
outfit fifteen:
“Alayne was already wearing woolen hose beneath her skirts, over a double layer of smallclothes. Now she donned a lambswool overtunic and a hooded fur cloak, fastening it with an enameled mockingbird that had been a gift from Petyr. There was a scarf as well, and a pair of leather gloves lined with fur to match her riding boots.” - alayne ii
outfit sixteen:
“It would be cold, she knew, though the Eyrie's towers encircled the garden and protected it from the worst of the mountain winds. She donned silken smallclothes and a linen shift, and over that a warm dress of blue lambswool. Two pairs of hose for her legs, boots that laced up to her knees, heavy leather gloves, and finally a hooded cloak of soft white fox fur.” - alayne vii

More Boyfriend!Frank Headcanons
Am I mentally ill at this point? All signs point to yes. Anyway, here's more Frank headcanons.
He's always a gentleman and assisting with the stuff that requires muscles BUT he does secretly like to watch you struggle with a jar of pickles or whatever from time to time. Huffing and puffing, those adorable grunts you make, watching how long you'd go without asking for help before finally strutting over to you with a smirk and taking the jar, popping it open with ease and kissing your forehead with "there ya go babydoll"
You love to be barefoot around the house and he is CONVINCED you'll catch your death, putting slippers on your feet or saying "at least put some socks on doll, you're killin' me" and he'd get especially mad when a random glass would break and you'd standing barefoot amongst the shards. Quite literally lifting you by the armpits to place you somewhere safe.
He simultaneously thinks your independence is hot AND would prefer to never let you out of his sight. So when you grab drinks with the girls, he'd lie when he dropped you off and let you think he was headed back home but really he was just waiting in the car for hours outside the bar, ready to get you home safe when the night wrapped up.
There is nothing fragile about his masculinity so when you realize you're out of mascara at 11pm, he's at the drugstore and facetiming you, showing you the wall of mascras and reading the names all confused "Super Telescopic Carbon Black? Shit, is this a mascara or a telescope sweetheart," he'd tease you before spending another 15 mins finding the exact one you wanted and then buying 3 so you have backups.
He is generally a man of few words, EXCEPT for two places: the bedroom (more on that in a minute) and when he knew you'd reached your social limit at a party or event. Just as you were feeling tapped out you'd feel a warm hand land on your back as he'd step into the conversation, taking the lead and making polite conversation so you could just stand quietly for a bit
The bedroom (and let's be real, all the other places you have sex)- this man is a talker. It's just unending streams of praise, half of them pitying in response to your incoherent whimpers. So much "takin' me so well sweetheart" or "such a good girl for me doll" or "I know baby, I'm going slow. S'alright" or "It's ok sweetheart, make all the noise you need."
He looooovveeesss to see you ride him but his chest and torso are so damn broad that straddling him and getting a rhythm feels impossible. He watches you struggle a bit, your tits mesmerizing him, before he grabs your hips, rocking you baacccck and fooorrttth, his hands occasionally wrapping around to cup and squeeze your ass cheeks.
While he certainly enjoys receiving head, he much MUCH prefers giving it. He loves the sense of total control he has over your pleasure, the way your hands tug at his hair, the way your thighs graze his face, the way "frankie" tumbles from your lips as your whole body trembles.
He fucking loves how soft you are. Soft skin, soft hair, soft squishy thighs. He's constantly kneading you, mumbling "so fuckin' soft" in your ear.

Chapter 47 of human Bill Cipher thinking that being imprisoned in the Mystery Shack is looking pretty good right now:
The Eclipse: Part 5
Bill and Ford are just... so energized and enthusiastic after their near death experience. Not to mention fashionable.
Tumblr media
But they've got nothing on Dipper.
Tumblr media
And, at long last, Ford and Dipper badger Bill—who's just too tired to lie—into explaining what kind of an "eclipse" involves a giant flying axolotl making gravity disappear.
####
When they reached the cave, Ford discovered that his antique lantern was too waterlogged to light.
"I'm not sure how we're getting to the top now," Ford said. The cavern directly behind the waterfall had some ambient lighting, but it wouldn't carry very far. "I know you can see, but I don't trust you to lead me through a cave system in the dark, no offense." He was surprised at himself for saying no offense.
"If I was planning to let you fall off a cliff, I could've saved myself a swim in the lake." Bill had taken off his backpack and was rummaging through it. "Didn't your lantern go out when you took four-eyes hiking through here? You should have learned your lesson."
Bill must have meant Fiddleford, though it was strange to hear him single out Fiddleford as "four-eyes" when Ford wore glasses too. "I did learn my lesson. I brought three flashlights as backup," Ford said. "Which are in Dipper's backpack."
Bill laughed weakly.
"Did you bring a flashlight?"
"Better." Bill pulled out a kazoo. He blew a stream of water from it, shook it, and then took a deep breath and played a long high note that wavered up and down.
Ford cringed at the noise. "Bill, what—?"
Bill held up a finger to silence Ford. Okay, fine. He was curious now.
It took a few moments of increasingly irritating kazoo playing, but Ford heard a soft clinking sound coming from the deeper caverns; and then several geodites—small creatures that looked like stone orbs with crystal limbs and teeth and glowing eyes—curiously emerged into the main cavern. Ford hadn't seen these creatures since he'd documented them in the eighties. He hadn't known they could be summoned via kazoo. They began making a high pitched humming along with Bill's kazooing.
"There you are." Bill stuffed the kazoo into his backpack and crouched down, holding out a hand until a couple of geodites crept closer to inspect it; and then he scooped up the closest one. The others startled into breaking off singing, but hovered nearby, chirping and clicking. "Okay, grab a flashlight." The light the geodites' eyes gave off wasn't very bright; but it was enough for Ford to see Bill's smug smirk. They proceeded into the caves, and a dozen-odd more geodites—perhaps out of curiosity, perhaps out of concern for the two hostages—followed along behind them.
The climb went much slower than it had just a few hours earlier. Unsurprisingly, without low gravity on his side, Bill was the holdup this time. Not only was he not as experienced in spelunking as Ford, but between his waterlogged dress shoes and his borrowed trout slippers he didn't have any appropriate footwear, and he'd elected to carefully climb barefoot again. When Ford had climbed up this path with Fiddleford in the 80s, it had been a six hour climb. He had no idea how long it would take with Bill.
But even at that, Ford hadn't expected Bill to need to pause so often to get his energy back. It seemed like the more Ford recovered from their fall in the lake, the weaker Bill got. In any other situation, he'd suspect Bill of slowing them down on purpose, but after... well, even that aside, Ford couldn't think of any reason Bill would want to delay getting home.
"It's just this body that's dizzy," Bill said, the fourth time they had to stop for him to sit. "Probably one of those... counterproductive stress reactions human bodies get." He wiped a film of sweat off his forehead, then stopped to examine how his hand trembled when his geodite's spotlight eyes fixed on it. "That or it's because I've only had a handful of cereal for the past two days."
Ford stared at him. "You what? Why?"
Bill shrugged. "Body wouldn't let me get more down. Wasn't my idea."
"Well, for goodness's sake, eat something now."
Bill took off his backpack, pulled out a cereal box, and opened it. He grimaced. He poured out a puddle of sugary lake water and dissolved cereal.
Of course. "Here." Ford pulled a tube of astronaut meat out of his backpack and offered it over. "It's not the most nutritionally complete meal supplement, but it's something. It'll have protein."
Bill took the tube with a grimace, but squeezed out a dollop of meat paste and licked it; and then he gagged so hard he doubled over. He clapped a hand over his mouth to keep from retching and offered the tube back. "Mmmf." The geodite hopped out of his lap in alarm and retreated to the group of hangers-on traveling with them.
The meat paste wasn't great, but that was a disproportionate reaction out of the alien who liked to mix chocolate sauce and mustard. This was a bigger problem than Ford had anticipated. "Keep it. If you can get down even a tiny bit every few minutes, that's better than nothing."
Bill nodded jerkily.
"I think it's better if we reach Dipper and get out of here as soon as possible."
Bill nodded more enthusiastically.
What would they do if Bill couldn't make it the whole way? Would Ford have to leave him in the cave and come back for him later? Ford hadn't tied the infinity belt's cable to Bill like he'd meant to, he just realized. It seemed unnecessarily cruel to try now; but it might be useful if he did have to leave Bill behind. He didn't know that they had any better option, he couldn't carry Bill all the way up and down. Especially since Bill had let go of his geodite, and Ford suspected the rest might abandon them if he put down his own...
They'd have to figure that out if it came to it. For now, they kept walking—Ford glancing back regularly to check on Bill, and Bill pretending he didn't notice.
####
After another half hour and another two increasingly frequent breaks, Ford saw a faint light in the tunnels ahead—yellow-white, not like the geodites' natural blues and purples. "Bill, is that...?"
"Hm?" Bill looked in the direction Ford was pointing. His right eye twitched, and then he had to squeeze his eyes shut in pain. "Yep. Boy child at 12 o'clock."
Ford called out, "Dipper?"
"Great Uncle Ford!" Dipper's voice echoed through the caves. There was a sound of clattering rocks as Dipper scrabbled down the tunnel to join them. The geodites scattered in fear, peering out from behind stalagmites as Dipper's flashlight swept over the scene. "Grunkle Ford! Are you okay?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine. Are you—?"
Dipper collided with Ford to hug him. (Ford held his geodite out to the side so he could return a one-armed hug.) "I'm so sorry I saw you go over the cliff but I couldn't do anything I was in the mindscape the whole time something sucked my soul out of my body—"
"Not it, I'm innocent," Bill said unnecessarily, "nobody look at me." He'd taken advantage of the break to immediately sit on the ground. His abandoned geodite crept back over to check on him.
"—and—and wow, that was the Axolotl you were talking about, right?" Dipper let go of Ford to gesture like a fisherman demonstrating the size of an enormous catch, "It was huge, it had to be—I don't know, as long as the county? The whole state? How did it get so big? Is the Axolotl an alien or some kind of mutant Earth axolotl? Are all axolotls aliens—?"
"Now, hold on," Ford said, putting a hand on Dipper's shoulder, "what huge axolotl? What are you talking about?"
"You didn't see it?" Dipper paused, looked Ford up and down, and said, "What are you wearing?"
Ford grimaced, tugged his bandanna up a little higher, and turned his geodite away when it tried to aim its spotlight eyes at his neck to see what he was doing. "We had to borrow some dry clothes."
"He couldn't see the Axolotl," Bill said. "You shouldn't have, either."
"Sor-ry. Getting sucked out of my body wasn't my idea—"
"Hold on," Ford said again. "What do you mean, sucked out of your body?"
As they headed back down toward the waterfall, Dipper and Ford exchanged their versions of events. It didn't take long for them to realize Bill had saved both their lives with a swift efficiency that, had it been applied to any less altruistic a task, could have been called "ruthless." They didn't say anything, but neither one could stop from glancing back toward Bill.
"What?" he snapped, clinging to his geodite a little tighter like he thought they were planning to take it. "I don't owe you an explanation. You're not dead! Be grateful. Stop looking at me."
They stopped looking at him. Bill should be gloating about them owing him their lives. He should be convincing them they had to pay back their debt. Silence alone would have been worrying; but bristling like he wanted them to forget what he'd done was baffling.
As Dipper finished explaining his version of events, he said, "I think I remember meeting the Axolotl before—like you said." He directed this last comment back over his shoulder toward Bill.
Bill—whose entire attention had been focused for the last ten minutes on walking without collapsing, tripping, or dropping his geodite—simply muttered, "My condolences."
"Wait," Ford said, "You've... met a giant invisible axolotl before?"
"Mabel and I both did."
"When?"
Dipper opened his mouth, paused, and glanced back again at Bill for help.
It took a few seconds for Bill to register the question. "Oh—they've never met before. Not in this reality."
Exasperated, Dipper asked, "Then why do I remember it?"
"I told you—echoes," Bill said. When Dipper continued giving him an expectant look, Bill sighed deeply and said, "This is an embarrassing oversimplification, but you're at least familiar with the concept of branching timelines, right?"
"Of course I am. Every time you make a decision, the timeline splits into two paths—"
"Cute that you think it caps out at two," Bill said. "And a decision doesn't always split the timeline, sometimes the branches collapse back together depending on the gravity of the decision you made. I don't literally mean a decision 'you' made—you've never made a decision that important—but sure, you've got the basic idea."
"Fine," Dipper snapped. "So I met it on another branch, right? When?"
"Never," Bill said.
"Okay. Yes. But there is a branch where... some version of me met it. Right?"
"It depends on how you define 'is.'"
Dipper puffed out his cheeks with the effort of restraining a yell. He looked at Ford for either help or sympathy.
Ford winked surreptitiously at Dipper and said, "It's probably some complicated chronological issue. I doubt Bill can explain it in a way humans can understand." Under his breath, he loudly muttered, "Some 'teacher.'"
Bill straight-armed Ford aside to walk beside Dipper. "You humans have no sense of humor," he said. "I said you met him never because it's literally true. You had an accident that landed you in a time and space outside time and space—the meeting happened never and nowhere. It's where he prefers to take visitors. That timeline terminated after your meeting—and I don't mean you died, I mean he terminated that entire timeline."
"Really?" Dipper shivered. "With... With everyone in it? Why did he do that? Did something dangerous happen in that timeline, or was it unstable, or...?"
"That's how he usually ends casual meet-and-greets," Bill said. "Higher dimensional beings. He sees your reality from a perspective unimaginable to you. Remember when I told you you're just a movie projecting on a wall to him; he's got no problem with pulling the film out of the reel to inspect a few frames and then turning the entire projector off when he's done. What does he care if that's somebody's entire reality?" He paused to think that over. "Maybe the projector metaphor's getting strained. Imagine flipping through a book with all the pages out of order, and meeting him is like somehow flipping to a page outside the book... No, that's a little too contrived. I'll stick with the projector."
"When did we... when would we have met him?" Dipper asked. "And—when I say 'when' I mean—you know what I mean."
"You mean, when would you have made the decisions that could have led to you meeting him? Depending on your perspective, either last August or 207̃05. Time travel was involved."
"Last August..." Dipper thought back. "Was that when we were—?"
"Treasure hunting, yeah. By the by, I never asked—" Bill gestured vaguely around them at everything in general, "—which dimension did I end up in? Is this the one where you went hunting in the 1400s or 1800s?"
"Uh—1800s."
"Hm. Knew this wasn't a 207̃05 treasure hunt timeline, Questiony doesn't have a pet enslaved time pirate."
"A what?"
"So you never had a chance of meeting the Axolotl anyway," Bill said. "Hey, fun fact! Did you know there's a time pocket where twelve million alternate versions of you, your sister, and the puppet with the goggles failed at your quest and plummeted out of time? I wonder how long the last of them survived! I meant to check in after Weirdmageddon. Human flesh isn't that nutritious and doesn't have much water, but with millions of bodies and a little determination— Hey, wanna know how long you all were there before you started resorting to cannibalism—?"
"No," Ford said before Dipper had to. "And I'll thank you not to get off topic to try to give my gnephew more nightmares."
Bill shot him a sideways glance. "Remind me to tell you about the time pocket formed by all the timelines where you and Specs did your first portal test without checking your math."
"So if I wasn't even supposed to meet him—how did I see him today?" Dipper asked. "Did he pull me out of my body into the mindscape so we could talk, or...? But he didn't even tell me anything, was he just trying to get me to remember meeting him in the terminated timeline—?"
"He wasn't trying to do anything," Bill said. "He wasn't here for you, he didn't care. Shadow on the wall."
"Then what was he here for? You?"
It took Bill too long to answer. He just shrugged vaguely. "Probably not."
"Huh." Instead of questioning Bill, Dipper briefly turned introspective himself, gaze far away and thoughtful. "I think I remember a little more about meeting the Axolotl now. The first time, I mean."
"Oh, do you?" Bill asked. "Ha! Poor kid."
"Mabel and I were in some kind of rocket car?" Dipper's brows furrowed in concentration. "And the Axolotl had a... bean bag chair?"
Bill scoffed. "He still has that old thing?! Wow."
"It was really comfortable."
"It's also really tacky."
"You talked about him like he was some kind of... of big... eldritch cosmic horror thing," Dipper said. "What kind of a cosmic horror has bean bag chairs?"
"What, do you think being a vast multidimensional amphibious monstrosity with an incomprehensible mind and a body that can only been seen in lower dimensions as grotesque shapeshifting cross-sections protects you from having bad taste? He'll flay your sanity straight out of your gray matter—and you won't even have the comfort of knowing your mind-shredder had nice interior decor sensibilities!"
"I can sympathize with the experience," Ford muttered. "I was driven to the brink of paranoid madness by a nightmare demon who thinks Doric columns go with checkerboard flooring."
Bill let out a shrill "Ha!" and smacked Ford's shoulder.
"But he remembered me when we met," Dipper went on. "He told me to say hi to Mabel. And—the last time we met, we—talked. I don't remember it all yet, but... you were wrong about him. There was nothing insanity-inducing about him. He was just... nice."
"You don't think the madness sets in all at once, do you?" Bill turned back to Dipper, with an air of what Ford uncomfortably felt like was ill intent. "Go on then—what did you talk about? You can't remember it, can you? Why not? Just a harmless little conversation, right?"
Dipper frowned in thought. "There was something important, but—I can't remember what it was. What was it?" He muttered, "I know it was something important—"
"And there we go!" Bill gestured at Dipper with a flourish, triumphant. "Now you're digging for the significance of the whole thing. You're trying to comprehend the motives of something that has a state of existence your mind wasn't built to understand! You'll either go mad trying to understand his motives—or you'll go mad because you do understand. You're doomed now, kid—this is gonna haunt you for the rest of your days." He laughed. "Try to stop thinking about it now while you're ahead!"
"I'm not going insane," Dipper said. "Just shut up, I'm trying to remember."
"'I'm not obsessed, I swear! I can stop thinking about it any time I want!' Sure."
"Shut up," Dipper repeated. "It had to have been something important! Otherwise why would he dragged me out of my body and—and shown me the fourth dimension just so I could meet him?"
"Don't sound so self-important! You never saw the fourth dimension; if you had, you wouldn't think he looks like an axolotl. He visited this dimension's mindscape," Bill said. "And he didn't even mean to drag you into the mindscape! It was just a side-effect of his gravitational pull. He tugged you toward him just like everything else in town; but Earth'sgravity doesn't extend through planes like the mindscape, and his does. Yanked your spirit right out of your body."
"Then why was I the only one?" Dipper demanded. "Why didn't you or Grunkle Ford leave your bodies?"
"Your spirit's more loosely attached to your body than ours."
"Why?!"
For a moment, Bill's face twisted with displeasure; and then he sighed in resignation. "Ah, heck with it. You've been astral projecting."
Dipper's mouth worked uselessly. He croaked, "What?"
"It's when you—"
"I know what it is! I mean—what? How? When?"
"At least as long as I've been here. How long have you been having those out-of-body dreams?"
"Y—!" Dipper socked Bill's arm. Bill didn't even flinch. "You said those were nightmares!"
"And I lied," Bill said tiredly.
"Why?!"
"Thought you'd be annoying about it."
"I've been dealing with this all year, you—!" Dipper groaned in aggravation. "Why am I astral projecting! I wasn't trying to learn or anything!"
"How should I know, I wasn't around. Best guess, I think I ripped up the Velcro sticking your soul to your body when I yanked you out to puppet it," Bill said. "Oops."
Dipper gaped at him in outrage. "'Oops'?! That's all you can— I've been terrified and I thought it was a nightmare and it was real all along and it was all your fault and you won't even—"
"I knew you'd be annoying."
"I'm annoying?! How would you like it if you'd spent a year getting dragged out of your body in your sleep—!"
Bill abruptly stopped walking, turned toward Dipper, and said with an intensity that startled Dipper into silence, "You don't have the slightest idea how much I'd like it. How would you like it if you'd been trying for weeks t—" Bill cut himself off before he could get more heated; and instead, only said, "If you. Wanted to get out of your body. And couldn't. And some brat down the hall is doing it without even trying."
Dipper remained frozen, jaw locked tight in a grimace, until Bill turned away and trudged on. Dipper snapped, "But I don't want to do it. And it's your fault I am."
"Great. Nobody's satisfied." Bill sighed. "Make the most of it. Watch late night TV. Learn to meditate or something, I don't care. You've got nothing to worry about, it's harmless." He paused. "As long as nothing else crawls in your body while you're outside of it."
"WHAT?!"
"It's fine. Nothing'll get you in the shack through the unicorn hair barri... hm. Well—you're safe in the shack."
"But I have to go home at the end of summer! Will something be able to get me then?!"
Bill shrugged. "Hypothetically."
"Am I gonna die?!"
"Given my understanding of human mortality? Sure, sooner or later. Wanna hear your top five most likely causes of death?"
"No! Is it possible to—to stop? Can I control the astral projecting?"
"Yeah, sure, I guess. Ask me next time you're out of your body. I'll show you"
"Can't you show me n—"
"No. Not while you're in your body."
Dipper scowled. "Fine! Next time I'm projecting, I'm kicking you awake until you help me." He turned away from Bill; and, after a moment of fuming, mumbled to himself, "If I've been astral projecting... then that time I visited the neighbors... oh, man..." He trailed off, getting lost in his own thoughts.
Keeping silent during that discussion had been agony for Ford.
Every few seconds, he'd wanted to butt in either to eagerly ask for more information about the Axolotl or astral projection, or—far more often—to express his rage on Dipper's behalf, that Bill (of course!) had put him through this, and then not even had the decency (of course!) to try to rectify it.
But it was Dipper's conversation. It was about Dipper's problem, and anyway Dipper had been trying so long to pry some sort of useful information out of Bill—it would be cruel of Ford to snatch the conversation away from him when he was finally getting somewhere. He'd have a lot to discuss with Dipper once they were home and could get away from Bill.
But staying outside the conversation had let him observe three points he might have otherwise missed.
One: Bill really wasn't himself. Back when he'd been playing as Ford's muse, whenever he got to answer questions, he'd always done it with an air of theatricality and barely-suppressed glee; and after he'd given up that act, he'd answered questions with smug arrogance, the glee turned to sadistic delight at the bad news he could deliver. Now, he simply answered them. Even his attempts to be condescending gradually got less enthusiastic until they petered out completely.
Two: Bill was answering questions he never would have answered that morning. After telling them as little as he could about the thing coming to Gravity Falls, even trying to avoid admitting it was the Axolotl, now he was freely talking about the Axolotl's taste in furniture as though he knew the beast personally. After hiding that Dipper was astral projecting for over a month, he simply told him. Heck with it. He'd admitted it was probably his fault. He'd said the last two words Ford had ever thought he'd hear come out of Bill's mouth: I lied.
Three: this was the longest Bill had walked without needing a break all day. His voice was stronger. His steps were more steady. Ford had even seen him squeeze out a few dollops of astronaut paste between comments—and he struggled to make himself swallow, but he didn't gag.
And now that Dipper had stopped asking him about the Axolotl and about astral projection, Bill's footing was growing less certain again. He wove unsteadily on the path and had to pause to lean a hand on a stalactite, taking deep breaths. "Gimme a second."
Bill was distracting himself. He was keeping himself going through conversation, the simple ritual of receiving and answering questions. Ford understood: sometimes, in desperate circumstances, you had to burn yourself out to get somewhere safe enough to collapse and recover. When you had no choice but to push yourself, the best thing you could do was think about anything but your exhausted, failing body. It made it easier to keep moving and burn through what energy you had left.
Ford had once wondered if his "muse" was some manner of creature that was compelled to answer the questions his protégés asked him. This was perhaps the closest Bill had ever gotten to actually being such an entity: answering questions because he had to to go on, and willing to give away almost anything as long as it kept him moving.
Ford stopped next to Bill. "So. The Axolotl was the source of your 'gravitational eclipse,' I suppose."
"Astute observation," Bill said flatly.
"I take it that it isn't 'eclipsing' gravity so much as canceling it out. The Axolotl must have a mass similar to Earth's, if the force it exerts flying by above us is nearly identical to the force of Earth below us."
"More or less."
"But according to Dipper's observations, this Axolotl is only the size of Oregon at most. Did he underestimate its size? Or perhaps it's incredibly dense...?"
Bill gave Ford a sharp sideways glance. Were this any other conversation on any other day, this would be when the gloating started. Well, well, well, look who finally believes I was telling the truth, finally crawling back to me to give you all the answers you can't find yourself— But Bill only looked away again, pushed himself back upright, and kept walking. "You're the square looking at the sphere and thinking it's a circle," Bill said. "The majority of the Axolotl's mass is in dimensions you can't see. The little bit of him that's visible in the mindscape is just a... a feeler. Or an anglerfish's lure. The rest of him is close enough to exert a gravitational pull—but not in a dimension you can see."
"Which dimensions does he exist in?"
"I can't tell you because your species knows so little about them that the answer wouldn't mean anything. You haven't even decided whether or not you want to officially call the dimension that time shines from the 'fourth' dimension—I could tell you he comes from the seventeenth dimension and it wouldn't mean anything but an impressively high number to you."
Dubiously, Ford asked, "Does he come from the seventeenth?"
Bill waved a hand vaguely. "Heck if I know. The most I've ever seen at once is nine, and I was on a lot of psychedelics at the time. My eyeball popped."
"Eugh."
"Worth it, though. If you ever wanna feel cosmically insignificant in the most breathtakingly beautiful way possible, and you don't mind going blind, let me know. I think I can remember most of what I was on."
"Pass," Ford said. "If the Axolotl is so enormous, then why was only Gravity Falls affected by its gravity? At a minimum, shouldn't have the rest of the Pacific Northwest been impacted—if not the whole planet?"
"He wasn't near the rest of the Pacific Northwest. In the third dimension, Gravity Falls is obviously connected to Oregon; but in higher dimensions, it's..." He tried unsuccessfully to pantomime something mountainlike. "Imagine if the second dimension were a flat sheet of stretchy fabric. If somebody plucked the fabric up in the middle and made a peak, a creature living on the surface of the fabric would still be able to travel across its slope like it was flat, right?"
Ford tried to visualize Bill's description. "Right."
"And so if a fly flew past the peak of the fabric, it'd cross near whatever town's at that peak without getting near the towns at the bottom of the slope."
"Rrright."
"That's what Gravity Falls looks like from the fourth dimension," Bill said. "In the third dimension you can't see anything, but to fourth dimensional beings it sticks out of the fabric of spacetime like a thousand mile high pillar in the middle of a desert. That's why Time Baby put his capitol here."
Now, Ford wasn't sure that sounded right, but he didn't know enough about the seventeenth-or-whatever dimension to dispute it. "And why you kept trying to punch through to our dimension from here?" he guessed. "I imagine stretching the fabric of spacetime that far might make it easier to tear."
Bill shot him a sour look, but didn't deny it.
"Why did the gravity go down slowly for two days and then come back all at once? Did the Axolotl just leave faster than it came?"
"You know how the Doppler effect works?"
Ford hesitated. "Yes. Obviously."
"Well, in higher dimensions, gravity works like a reverse Doppler effect. It spreads out in front of a moving object—"
"Oh, come on."
"—and compresses behind the object—"
"Now you're just making up scientific-sounding nonsense because you know I can't disprove it."
"I'm not, and as soon as you get me a pen and paper I can prove it." Loftily, Bill said, "There's a simple equation that can explain higher dimensional gravity."
Ford was pretty sure he was being made fun of. He didn't mean to laugh, but he did. Dipper looked at him like he'd lost his mind; but trying to explain what was so funny would probably just make him look more insane.
Bill looked nearly as surprised.
####
"... And the smaller axolotls, what are they—heralds, worshipers? Children?"
Bill scoffed in disgust, "I don't know, I've never asked him. I see them like the flies orbiting a cow's tail. They migrate with him, that's all I know."
"Then the Axolotl really was just 'migrating'?"
"Well. Migrating in the sense that a mayfly watching a human walk back and forth to the office thinks it must be 'migrating.' He has..." Bill gestured vaguely, "duties, that mandate he travel fixed routes through the multiverse. He just happens to have a years-long workday. His commute doesn't usually take him past 46'\."
"'Duties' as in... divine duties?"
"It depends on if you worship him for doing them. I don't."
The cavern was growing light again, and the distant waterfall was audible. Ford quietly sighed in relief. Even as oddly forthcoming as Bill had been, Ford doubted that even two-thirds of the information he'd shared was true. But it was hard to tell. It had always been hard to tell.
Dipper helped Ford deflate the raft and pack it up. As he did, he said, voice low, "Is it just me, or is Bill kinda...?"
Ford cast a sideways glance across the cavern. Bill was crouched in front of the geodite he'd carried all up and down the tunnel, backpack in his lap, pouring a pile of soggy cereal onto the ground for the geodite to eat. Ford was surprised he'd gotten so attached to the creature. "I think he's been in some state of mental shock since the fall in the lake," Ford said. "And it seems he hasn't been able to keep down a full meal since we left yesterday. I suspect he's barely on his feet. The sooner we can get him back to the shack, the better."
"Oh." Dipper frowned toward Bill. (He was now pouring cold medicine on the cereal. Ford would have to ask him about geodite diets.)
"What are you thinking?"
Dipper shook his head. "I just thought... He seems like he's thinking about something. And he's giving so much away... I don't know. I wanted him to talk, but now it makes me wonder if he's scheming something."
From what Ford had seen, at the moment he doubted Bill could so much as scheme a way to ruin a picnic. But now he was second-guessing his perception. Ford knew Bill better than anyone; but that also meant Bill knew how to manipulate Ford better than anyone. What was Dipper seeing that he didn't? "Really? Do you think so?"
Dipper hesitated. "I—thought so? Maybe not." (Well, now they were both second-guessing themselves.) "I just don't know why he'd tell us so much if he isn't up to something. It feels like a distraction."
"Ah." Ford nodded. "I think the distraction is for himself."
"Mm." (Ford wasn't sure if Dipper had heard him.) "I just feel like there's—something. I can feel it in the back of my head." He stared at Bill a moment longer; then shook his head and turned away. "Maybe it's not him, maybe it's the Axolotl. He said something I can't remember. Something about degrees."
"Degrees?"
But Dipper didn't reply. He'd returned to his work, lost in his own head, mumbling under his breath the way he did whenever he was trying to work something out. Something else for Ford to ask about later.
When they got in Tate's loaned motorboat to head back out, Dipper got a look at the rainbow trout slippers Bill had put back on, and let out a choked laugh of surprise; and then that was the last sound any of them made as they crossed the lake. Ford steered, Dipper remained lost in his own thoughts, and Bill stared at his friendship bracelet, thumb running around the glass evil eyes.

Sea of love —Fermin Lopez.
summary: After being in love with Fermin for many years being Gavi's sister, he finally confesses and the sea is a witness of your love.
warnings: none. (mention of alcohol, discomfort, bad language)
word count: +4k.
#SEXYNOTE: I'm sorry for the delay :( I was taking exams. How is everything going? Kisses, love you <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Laughter erupted in the living room when you saw your brother do something stupid. Everyone knew that Gavi was the life of the night and that his 'guess what' attempts were not something he did very well, even more so when he was drunk but he still ended up being the funniest thing in the world. Unfortunately your mood wasn't the best these days and you were just drowning your sorrows in alcohol.
Trying to forget.
Bottles of beer lay on the floor, on the living room table, sofa and even on the kitchen counter. Summer vacation was something you really loved when it came to coming to your house by the sea, where everything was surrounded by trees, beaches and flowers, a swimming pool with beautiful views and a summer barbecue.
Your parents and sister had gone on a trip and your brother had thought of coming with his friends and inviting your girlfriends for a great vacation. Something you couldn't say no to, as you had been looking forward to it for a long time but weren't excited enough to really enjoy it.
You loved this place but you hated being here right now.
Laughter and screams could be heard all around you, but you weren't really listening to them, not when your eyes were anchored on the boy sitting a few feet in front of you, as if he was the only person in the world. Trying to get his gaze back or at least a little bit of interest from him.
You felt empty, forgotten, ignored and trampled on. You couldn't take it anymore.
"Let's dance" your friend tried to take your hands, but you refused. "Don't be an old lady!" she shrieked snorting.
You smiled a little trying to hide your pain. Your spirits weren't very high today, nor were they a few weeks ago, not after he rejected you like that. You just wanted to drink until you passed out drunk and forget everything.
Falling in love with one of your brother's best friends was a myth for some but a reality for you. A reality that hurt.
Fermin Lopez was the typical young prodigal and kind, who has all the girls at his feet and with that angel face and smile that bewitches, you could not blame them. You had also fallen into his net.
But he would never touch you, his words, not yours.
"Did you come to cry for a man or to fuck three others instead?" your flirtatious friend whispered and pointed to the other members of the group, Ferran, Joao and Pedri.
Your gaze wandered to three drunken boys laughing and joking with each other, playing with your brother and your other friends. You laughed in denial they were just like that, a couple of idiots.
"I'll pass" you whispered. She nodded and kissed your forehead tenderly.
"Well if you don't, i do" she joked with an amused grimace. You laughed before finishing your bottle of beer and watching her walk off after the partying soccer players.
You got up from your spot and walked barefoot around the dining room to your slippers, quickly putting them on. You needed air or to get out of this place before you exploded.
Unseen, you opened the back patio door and stepped out hugging yourself as the evening breeze hit you. It was a pleasant night, the stars were shining brightly overhead, the moon was lighting up the sand on the beach, the tree branches were barely moving.
You sighed a breath of air and took it all in hard. You had been putting up with it all, the journey here, days eating at his side, nights criss-crossing him in the bathroom, evenings and mornings enjoying your own home. It was hell.
You were rethinking to yourself if it had been a good idea to come or if it would have been better to stay in Barcelona, in your small apartment with your studies and your strong emotions. You walked without fear, down from your house until you reached the beach, feeling the waves lapping on the shore. The lighting was dim but at least you could see perfectly where you were stepping and even the moon helped with that. You sat on the sand feeling it grainy under your body, sniffling dejectedly.
It had been at least a couple of years since you had felt this. The feeling of having everything but at the same time nothing, that everything was out of your reach and there was no escape. A tear fell down your cheek and you blamed it on the alcohol that had undoubtedly taken its toll on your body.
You closed your eyes smelling the warm scent of the summer night enjoying the feeling of your limbs burying in the sand when you took off your shoes and the salty of your tears sticking to your face when they came out uncontrollably. Feeling the sensation of being alone in front of the sea with only your feelings drowning you and your bad decisions.
You didn't want to go back to that living room knowing that Fermin was there. You had been on good terms but it was clear that you didn't want to be just his friend and he ignored you completely, except that he felt obligated to greet you when you met in the mornings or ask you for something because he was at your house when Gavi was busy.
After a while behind your back, you heard someone walking by but you ignored them. It was probably one of your friends, your brother or the boys seeing you leave.
Your body was surrounded by a thin layer of clothing, over your summer bikini, giving you validity when the breezes blew your hair. You touched the jacket on your shoulders and its scent came straight to your nostrils, making you bristle.
Damn it.
"What are you doing here?" you heard his voice above your peace.
Your body froze.
You hadn't expected him to come at all, he hadn't even seen you leave, in fact he had never seen you. What was he doing here? Why did he come? To keep hurting you? How dare he? First he ignored you worldwide as if you didn't exist for him and now he appeared out of nowhere with some concern?
"Y/n..." he called out to you when he heard silence. "It's late, it's not safe for you to be alone here, come in the house" he asked from behind.
You raised an incredulous eyebrow.
A hand from his hands touched gently, calling out to you. A shiver ran down your back but you removed your shoulder as if you were a capricious child. Fermin removed his hand quickly at your discomfort.
"I like being alone" came out of your mouth with some wariness.
"I know" he affirmed. Again there was silence but this time, Fermin moved and sat a little away from you. He was respecting your space, you had always liked that about him. He was cautious and kind.
"I like you too" you kept saying. Again you were sure it was the alcohol talking but it was so true.
Fermin sighed. "We talked about... this."
You clicked your tongue. A wry chuckle escaped your lips at the memory.
"Yeah, i know. I'm not your type and you only see me as a friend" you blanched your eyes sighing.
Suddenly, again tears invaded your eyes. But you weren't going to cry, not in front of Fermin.
"It's not that Y/n, you're confused and don't know what you want" he reasoned lifting his shoulders.
"What do you know what i feel?" you snatched raising your voice. "What the fuck do you know what i want!?" you shouted.
The situation was starting to make you desperate and to see him there, so calm with his soft voice and confident feelings. He clearly didn't want you.
"Gavi would never agree to this, it's not right. He's my best friend" he kept excusing himself.
Rage started to build up in your body every time a word came out of his mouth. Why the fuck did he keep making stupid excuses? First you weren't his type, then your brother and now what?
You loved Fermin. Since you were eleven you were in love with him but he never looked at you with different eyes. Was it so hard for him to tell you? Was he such a coward?
"Go away" you asked hugging yourself in the cool night. "Forget everything and fuck off" you spat.
The urge to scream got stuck in your throat when he looked ahead and sighed without saying anything. You were letting him go, why the fuck wouldn't he leave. He didn't want you to come closer, he had asked you explicitly, but why did he come here? He wasn't looking for explanations or he wasn't going to give them either, why had he come in the first place?
He had broken your heart into a thousand pieces from day one. You knew he went out with other girls and that didn't bother you but sometimes it was unbearable, it hurt. Even so, you always kept choosing to love him because the heart doesn't decide who to fall in love with. It just happened.
He had been Gavi's friend since you were little and with that, you also knew him. You had no memories where Fermin was not present as you became a teenager. He was the person who protected you and took care of you, the one who beat up idiots when they tried to get with you, the one who took you home when you were drunk, the one who covered for you when you went out with friends, the one who defended you from Aurora and Pablo when they played with you.
How could you not fall in love? If he was always sweet to you, always watching you with that smile on his face, always worried about you. Fermin wasn't just your brother's best friend, he was like your brother. But you hated that part. Because that was the answer to everything, you were just that to Fermin Lopez.
He knew everything about you and that was your weakest point. He knew how you felt, he knew you liked him and he knew how you were suffering. And that you were a disaster.
You got up from the ground and started walking to the sea. You wanted to get away from him as soon as possible, besides it was all he wanted but he was still there. Sitting silently with his head hidden between his knees like a coward.
Fuck it. Your feet came in contact with the water and you shivered as you felt it was freezing but you weren't going to stop. You were going in deeper and deeper as tears slipped down your cheeks, love was cruel and it hurt to be in love. Why couldn't it be reciprocated, why did it have to end like this?
I guess this was the end. Your end. Not the end you wanted but the only one fate had for you.
Shit fate.
You took a last breath before sinking into the freezing cold water shivering but when you submerged everything disappeared. Your clothes got wet and your hair floated but you didn't care that you were shivering underwater, you didn't hear anything anymore, you were just there. Sinking under your feelings with your broken heart.
The water surrounded your body and tried to push you up but you held steady under it, feeling the silence and darkness beneath you.
At least when you came out Fermin wouldn't be there. Or so you hoped because it would be really embarrassing for him to see you a mess. The mess he had made. He didn't care and it was okay, it was already a hopeless case. You were going to get over it.
Maybe Fermin was right and your feelings were confused or maybe you were infatuated and it would all pass. At least you were praying that when you surfaced it had all been a dream.
When your lungs began to feel the lack of air, you stayed in the water. You weren't going to do anything crazy but you needed a little adrenaline to take your mind off it. Your limbs were cold and the tears had stopped flowing and had mixed with the deep sea water.
Arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you up, pushing you out as your lungs took in air again in desperate gasps.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, y/n!" he yelled trying to help you float, his hands holding your waist tightly as you continued to gasp for air.
Your vision was a little blurry, because of the darkness and the drunken state but your body recognized that touch. His soft fingers pressed against your skin and you trembled.
"It's fucking freezing!" he shrieked again at your silence. "Are you crazy?" he continued. "What would have happened if i left?"
"Nothing, stop acting like you really cared" you replied dryly trying to pull away. You wanted to swim away from him, back to shore and go far away but his arms stopped you.
"I fucking care about you, Y/n!" mentioned harsh. You moved your shoulders catching your breath but when he said your name you were out of breath again.
"Tell me what you want" he said angrily. It was one of the few times you had seen him like that, his eyebrows were furrowed, he was worried but you could tell his neck stood out and he was red, he was definitely angry.
"I told you to leave me" you said again gritting your teeth from the cold.
"I'm not doing it!" he replied but you denied and turned to resolutely get out of the water.
You heard it hit against the water but you tried again to get out, it held you again stopping you. The breeze hit your body and your skin bristled under the water.
"Tell me what the fuck you want!" he shouted at the top of his lungs and you looked up at him until you faced him.
"You, Fermin!" you shouted just as loudly. "I want you" your voice was choppy but you still screamed euphoric.
You weren't afraid to scream. You knew what you wanted and compared to him you weren't going to be quiet no matter if your brother or anyone else could hear you. Even though you were literally inside the sea, there was no one else around but the two of you and your friends were too busy partying to notice what was going on outside.
Your chest was rising and falling and despite feeling your heart almost explode, you dealt with it. Fermin was speechless and then you sighed in denial. Was that what he wanted? To humiliate you again? He had. It wasn't the first time you had told him how you felt but here you were still, feeling your heart break with every feeling.
"You don't understand" he murmured slowly. He was already calm and you were still on fire.
"What, Fermin?" you replied exhausted from the situation.
"I can't choose between you and your brother" he whispered and your heart jumped. "It's not fair" he said taking a step forward.
Why would he have to choose you? You weren't asking him to choose you, you were asking him to love you. This wasn't about Gavi but in some part you understood. And that terrified you too. But it wasn't a valid excuse when it came to love, it didn't matter at all when it was true. You understood perfectly well that sometimes love was unrequited but he always came close and made you feel special, as if he knew exactly what you felt having him around. As if he felt the same but ended up walking away or excusing himself.
"I can't put you in that situation, i can't put Pablo in that situation either" he kept saying. "You don't understand, you're beautiful and i really like you but it's not the right thing to do."
You nodded slowly. Your belly churned and your eyes threatened to tear up but you stopped them. You really had a hard time deciphering if his words were true or if he was trying to comfort you and excuse himself, either way it didn't make sense anymore.
"You are the most beautiful girl i have ever met, you are funny and caring, you loved your friends and family, you always take care of everyone and expect nothing in return" his hands cupped your cheeks and lifted your dull face. The waves gently lapped your bodies and the sound was music behind his words.
Your eyes were watery and your heart pounded, their cold bodies surrounded by water and their fingers were icy but nothing mattered. His touch burned your skin and you felt the closeness of their body, making you sway.
"You drive me crazy" he whispered. "You know what it's like to see you every day? With that beautiful smile but then when you see me it disappears, to see you sad and not being able to hug you, i can't touch you, i can't tell you how i feel about you" he confessed so close to you and your face cradled in his hands.
Were you still in a dream? was it true? or was it a lie? you no longer knew if this was true or if your unconscious was creating a parallel reality to your pain. Although his skin over yours indicated to you that this was really happening, you had never felt it so close, so true, so real before.
"Why?" you asked defeated. "Why don't you?" you pleaded.
Fermin caressed your face, shaking his head, his eyes lowered to your lips and looked at you hungrily, desperately.
"I can't" he barely said.
He wanted to kiss you. Those words were an attempt to converse to himself, Fermin wanted to kiss you. His voice trembled and he refused holding back.
"I can't" he repeated and you didn't let him think about it.
You were probably going to regret this but you couldn't help yourself and kissed him. You took his face and pressed your lips against Fermin's, taking him by surprise. But as if it was an instinct, he reciprocated a few seconds later.
The feeling of happiness invaded your stomach and you felt how the whole world revolved around you. It wasn't the first time you kissed a boy but it was definitely the first time you felt something like this. A shiver ran from the tips of your toes to your last hair and made you bristle. Fermin's hands took your waist delicately groping the area before placing them there.
The kiss was delicate, awkward and tender. As if it was a first time. Because it really had been, it was the first time you kissed Fermin and you knew it was going to stay engraved in your heart. The waves moved your bodies but Fermin's hands held you tight and made you feel safe.
"You have no idea what you just did" he whispered as your foreheads pressed together.
"I didn't do anything" you jokingly defended yourself.
"You do everything" he said again and cupped your face in his hands.
His eyes shone like headlights and you wondered was that if how the stars above you looked. The touch of his skin against yours was familiar, Fermin always touched you but this time it felt different.
Again his lips sought contact with yours but you stopped him, pulling away a little to make space between you. It was obvious you wanted to kiss him but you were afraid that after he kissed you, Fermin would run.
"You said we couldn't" you murmured biting your lip.
Nerves were itching in your belly and you were desperate to feel his lips but you couldn't let him hurt you again.
"You kissed me first" he replied whimpering. You smiled in denial.
"Because i know what i want!" you squealed determined. You had always known and not because you wanted to meant he could use you.
Fermin sighed releasing your cheeks. The chill ran through your body again as he moved a little further away, pulling away from you.
"Pablo is my best friend" he said scratching the back of his neck.
"So what?" you snatched, you were going to get it all out today.
It was all or nothing.
"Don't do this to me, y/n" he pleaded worriedly.
You weren't doing anything. Nothing he didn't want, was he going to blame you? Couldn't he set the record straight? For not wanting to admit how he felt?
Pablo was not an obstacle, you knew that if this was real he would support them. Of course it would cost him, first he would get angry and act offended, then he would too but in the end he would accept his. And if he didn't he'd be damned, it was your damned life and Fermin's.
"Aren't you afraid?" he asked taking a step closer. You lifted your shoulders.
Of course love was scary. Everyone painted it as something beautiful but after being ignored several times by Fermin you were beginning to believe that love was just part of Disney stories.
"It's okay if you want to let me go but you have to at least try first" you complained disappointed.
"I don't want to hurt you" he mentioned and his arms grabbed your forearms again. You wanted to pull away but Fermin took you in his arms and wrapped his arms around you against his body. Again you felt his overwhelming warmth and the cold disappeared, at times you felt on top and at others underneath.
"You already do..." you whispered so slowly that the words vanished on the breeze.
"I'm sorry, Y/n" he apologized squeezing you. "I love you and I don't want to lose this thing we have" he said in one ear.
"We won't lose it if you really want me" you admitted.
"I really want you" His eyes spoke before yours.
Your heart was pounding a mile a minute. You were agitated and excited at the same time, you wanted to kiss him, you wanted to touch him, you wanted Fermin to hold you and not let go. Your fingers caressed his locks of hair and his hands took your waist, rising up to surround it and stay on top of him.
"Let's not tell Pablo yet" he whispered kissing your forehead softly.
His words made you raise your head until you could see his face. Had he really said that?
"Tell him what, Fermin?" you asked pretending not to notice.
"About us" he murmured clear and precise.
Every atom in your body began to jump with happiness. A smile was marked on your lips and quickly spread it towards the boy.
About us. It sounded unreal coming out of his mouth. You had always had feelings for each other but only you would admit them. Now he was the one saying it and you began to wonder if that's what love felt like.
Fermin grabbed you by the face again.
"I've been in love with you for as long as i've known you, i don't understand how i could endure these years, i don't understand how i could push you away like this" he whispered caressing you.
Your eyes watered. The night was perfect. You surrounded by darkness, under the starlight with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the water surrounding your bodies, it felt like a real dream you had ever had.
Only this time it wasn't.
You were here, in the sea, your favorite place, with your favorite person.
"I really love you, Y/n" he said firmly.
He couldn't hold it in any longer and brought their lips together again.

—₊˚⊹♡ boy next door! sungchan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❦ seeing your ex after rough breakup can be tough, but everything is made easier when your 6 ft tall neighbor steps in as your fake boyfriend
౨ৎ SHORT IMAGINE (gn!reader x j.sungchan)
⟡ fake dating au (fluff)
note! this is sth i wrote at a whim a year ago, plz look pass the imperfections
three months, a few boxes of kleenex, and whole lot of takeout food after your worst heartbreak and you're still in a runt. the passing whispers about that 5"7 jerk's foreign conquests post-breakup hasn't been very helpful to your healing process either. the world was a blur and you barely had any energy to decipher your living conditions or take a good look at the cute neighbor who just moved in next door.
until one morning in the warm breeze of the summer sun, you woke up feeling... fine? your cheeks bore no residue of tears, you had a spring in your step, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, you had a inkling feeling that you were going to have a great day (your first one in a while). your euphoric state of being is interrupted by a fleeting sight in the corner of your eye. your unfortunate habits that accumulated from march to june has attracted an unwanted guest, the monster of your nightmares, your single worst fear, a cockroach.
you leap and dash out of your flat, in a state of panic you rap on the door of apartment 305. the owner of the dog barking through the paper thin walls greet you at his doorstep, you physically lift your head up to lock eyes with a titan's offspring blessed with a model's physique and a charming deer-like appearance. your hysteria pauses for a split second to admire the doe-eyed adonis who's staring back at you with a visible question mark. after you take another second to condemn yourself for not introducing yourself sooner, you work up exactly three words "help, please, roach" to which he nods and emerges out of his room with a half a pair of old slippers like a soldier prepping for battle.
the scene back in your living room corner was like a blockbuster, you stopped yourself from drooling while standing barefoot on your leather couch, choosing to ignore the tiny screeches of fear coming from the kind gentlemen who introduced himself as jung sungchan.
just when you thought your misery was over, you hear your doorbell ring and a familiar voice. terror rushed through your blood and bones, and your paranoia was confirmed when you open the door to a midget man in a suit and holiday tan, bombshell model in hand.
"hey, did you get my text. im here to pick up my things-... and you are?" shifting his vision to the semi stranger on your couch.
"he's my um- boyfriend?" you look at your neighbour with a silent plea. to your pleasant surprise he rises from the sofa with a mischievous glint in his eyes and a knowing grin, he circles one hand around your waist and another out for a handshake with the man he towers over. "nice to meet you. im sungchan."

Chapter 3
*     ✦   . *     ✦   . *     ✦
Some dew drops are seen sliding down the windows of a custom Gulf Stream jet ;due to the rain as it lands on a clandestine pathway in the city of Shanghai, China.
As the wheels below the jet deploy you feel a soft warm hand tap you on shoulder waking you up out of your slumber, as you feel the jet tremble due to the landing;you gasp yourself awake due to the strange circumstances of your awakening.
-“Good morning Miss, I hope your flight with us has been lovely. I’ll leave you a cup of coffee ,a bottle of water and some ibuprofen in the case that you require them. Mr Gojo and Mr Geto are waiting for you outside the jet so you can all head to Báisè de huā villa. Now if you’ll excuse me I’ll be taking my leave.-“ Said the flight attendant before taking a bow then leaving.
You wink your eyes in hopes that I’ll help you understand what the fuck she just said, since you slept too little, you were still a bit drunk from all the whiskey from a few hours ago. You popped an ibuprofen then exited the master bedroom which you don’t remember getting into. You notice that your top is now lingering a scent of a mens cologne, but you shrug the thought off and conclude that the alcohol is just messing up your senses.
As you strut through cabin corridor, you quickly spot the jet door.Which leads you to an unknown country full of posibilites or new found problems. You tip tap down the jet stairs in hopes of finding warmth in one of the 5 Ford Everest parked by the path way, but you soon notice that in front of you is your boss and his god mother standing proudly before 2 lines of 20 men , 10 on each side forming a hallway to the vehicles while respectfully bowing down to them. Out of instinct you decide to take a step back to process the power demonstration being held before your boss, you knew he was a shady man but you’ve also never thought of him like anything else but a coworker; as you take a step back you also realize you’ve stepped out barefoot and now you have an un pleasantly wet foot.
-“Fuck.”- You comment making heads turn your way as you practically announce your arrival, as their workers noticed you ;one of them ran over to you to place and umbrella over your head.
As your presence is known; Gojo swiftly turns around and looks at you with slight amusement sparking his blue orbs.
-“How shameful,I should fire you.”-He recites while walking over to you, while making some weird hand gestures tu one of his men.
-“Be my guest.”- you reply as you gather your hair up in a pony tail to look more presentable.-”Lovely weather isn’t it?”-You comment as you rub your feet together trying to fend off the cold.
He scoffs strolling over to you ,knowing he wouldn’t fire you in his wildest dreams, a few seconds after ;the assistant whom he was signing to handed him a box. He then proceeded to crouch his tall figure to the ground , it looked as if he was bowing down to you, then he took some slippers out of the box to then grab an ankle delicately to slip then on. As of you weren’t already nervous due to this unexpected action, the look of his men piercing you made you anxious.
-“I can put them on myself you know. Stand up you’ll get your suit dirty.”-You mumbled squatting down to take the slippers from his hands.
-“Don’t tell me what to do.”-He expressed looking you dead in the eyes as he snatched back the fluffy slipper from your hand putting them back on your other foot.

3 figures could be seen sitting down in the main dining room of the Báisè de huā villa, it is currently 2 pm and all of you just woke up from a few hours of sleep after you guys arrived from the landing site.
You were now in an impromptu business meeting as your boss explained to you your obligations as his secretary while on this very important work trip. You timidly smiled as you see how the passion for his work ( truthfully power hunger) sparked a passion in his eyes ,as he explained to you how he wanted to add Chinese territories to his reign; starting with Shanghai.
Todays meeting was very important ,here he would be meeting with a very noteworthy drug supplier that worked with very few clients due to the quality of its goods and mainly to avoid getting dragged in between gang wars, the goal for today is to be accepted to the client list and negotiate prices.
You were perfect for the job
He knew that from the moment that Geto and he started stalking you, after seeing how you built wonderful companies from zero, that you were the only one capable of fulfilling their expectations. Yes, you were young, and many people may associate that with immaturity, but your age only highlighted your strategic thinking and endless energy.
You started to supervise some work your underclass men sent you to Japan when you noticed a clothed reflection on your computer screen.
-“Do I bore you?”-The deep familiar voice questioned.
-“Sometimes.”-You snapped back in annoyance due to his stupid questions.
He frowned from your unexpected reply , your tone making him a little sad. He knew you were a woman of firm character,a quality he admired about you ,so he started to worry of what would happen if you found out about what him and geto did.
-“Are you being sincere?”-Gojo asked in a more serious tone.
-“Dead serious.”-You reply as you smile from ear to ear at his “playful” questioning.
As soon as he realized you were playing ,the stress left his shoulders , he sighed and cackled at himself due to his behavior. He barely recognized himself, the guilt is eating him alive, he needed to makeup for it fast.
-“Want to go shopping?”

The busy Nanjing road if full of locals and tourist. The infrastructure of the shopping districts is breathtaking , the afternoon sunset is reflecting beautifully on the buildings decorated by big led screens and beautiful compositions of glass.
In the big sum of people, Gojo and you found peace due to the fact that, to the naked eye, you were no different from any tourist. Your boss stayed close to you as he scanned the environment with his icy blue eyes; he hid his hands in his cashmere pockets as he looked down on you.
-“I have a surprise, c’mon, follow me, princess.” - Your heart skipped a beat as you heard those sweet words come out of his pink lips. For some reason unknown to you, your boss only let out those teasing words in front of you. You decided not to think much of it since you knew he had his fair share of good-looking girls behind him. You knew your place, his secretary, nothing more.
His calloused, cold hand grabbed yours as he calmly walked through the crowd; he looked ahead so calmly. You felt embarrassed for thinking anything of his nonchalant attitude. But to him, oh man. His heart was running a thousand miles per hour; the only thing he could do to hide his blushing cheeks is to look ahead. Your hand felt so warm, so soft, so small against his; that only led him to wonder what the rest of you feels like. For a woman with such a small frame, you surely had too much attitude. He’d be lying to himself if he said he didn’t fantasize about all the ways he could tame that cheeky attitude of yours. In the end, that white-haired man decided it was better for him to stop such wild thoughts before he started having issues controlling his breathing.
When both of you arrived at the store, the sales assistant immediately recognized the tall man beside you and promptly led you to a private room. It seemed to be a private dressing room; it was composed of a luxurious cream sofa, a extravagant white wood table, and what seemed to be another small room to dress in. On top of the table was a black suede box with a red bow that screamed open me!
You look over to the grinning figure beside you for permission, and as soon as he gives you the green light, you scramble to open the mystery box, which reveals a beautiful turquoise Qi pao with tiny white flowers detailing the side of your hip. The cloth ended at mid-knee and seemed like silk; it glided beautifully under your fingertips, and the stitching was impeccable. Once the sales assistant noticed you were satisfied with the dress, she took her leave.
-“You shouldn’t have.”-You gasped.
-“Oh, but I did.”-He sweet-talked as he started getting closer to your face.-”How about you model that piece for me as a thank you.”
-“Model for you?”-you giggled.-“I’d rather pay credit.”- You say as you searched your purse.
-“Fuck.”- He mumbles under his breath as he drags one hand on his face.-“I’m starting to think you get a high from contradicting me, when will you stop playing dumb, my dear.”-he taps your forehead with his index finger as he mutters this sentence.
You grab his hand, catching him off guard.
-“I don’t know if fooling around with me is your source of entertainment for today, but please consider that it’s not normal for a man such as yourself to grab my hand and plan surprises for me and take me to foreign countries. I’m aware it’s all for business reasons, so I beg you to keep this as strictly professional as possible.”
With a swift movement; your hand still in his, he turns you around to face the mirror as he positions himself behind you, towering over you as he hugs you with the arm you're both holding hands with. You gulp at the sight of his broad shoulders contrasting your own back, at the way you're engulfing yourself with his aroma, sweating at the way he dared to rest his head on your other shoulder just to whisper…
-“What if it wasn’t for business, what if the absolute truth was that you drive me crazy.”-He groaned as he looked intently at your cute expressions through the mirror.-“The way you walk, the way you talk, the way you make me want to have some damn morals just so I can have the right to talk to someone like you.”
You shake your head as you refuse to accept the reality of the situation you're in.
-“You don’t know what you’re talking about, Gojo.”
He bit his tongue in anger and frustration; all he could do is tighten his jaw in hopes he wouldn’t say anything stupid.
-“Good, cause all that’s not the fucking case.”-He left the room after spitting that out in resentment at the way you turned down his feelings as he was a beggar. He knew it; he’s a fucking idiot for ever having hope; all he’s done on this trip is embarrass himself in front of you. Having to swallow his feelings these 2 years drove him to insanity; all he wanted was to include you in his life’s plans, why couldn’t you accept that?
Oh, he clearly knew why.
It’s because you deserve better.
You deserve a Prince Charming who will offer you peace and warmth, someone who works a 9-5, someone who has a family life to offer you, probably someone who doesn’t have to carry a gun in his waistband to protect himself from all the bad things he’s done in the past, someone not crazy enough to kill for you or even better someone who’s not masochistic enough to live with the burden of his unrequited sentiments towards you.
But in the end, he knew he was selfish; that’s how he got to where he is today. He knew damn well you deserved better, so why did he still have the irresistible urge to steal you away, to drown you in his feelings to the point where you couldn’t deny them.
He laughed, no cackled at himself outside of your dressing room; you had no idea what you had coming.

Three champagne glasses clicked in celebration of a newfound business project. Tonight’s meeting has been a success, even though you’ve been burning your brain cells trying to decipher what the hell happened at the boutique this afternoon. You were clearly distracted but not to the point you forgot why you were here in the first place.
You sat back into your seat, participating in idle chit-chat with the supplier. Meanwhile, your tight turquoise Qi pao emphasized your waist, the slit by your thigh earning some stolen glances from your boss as he still acted indifferent towards you after today's spectacle.
Geto could already smell what was happening between you two, but in reality, he didn’t care one bit to even ask about it. So all he could do was stand by the door, keeping watch for any potential danger.
The meeting concluded wonderfully, so you said your goodbyes to the supplier to excuse yourself to the bathroom, allowing yourself to think straight for a few minutes before returning to your chaotic reality.
As you finished washing your hands, you touched your nape with your cold hands with the hopes of cooling down your body heat. After fanning yourself a few times, you exited the bathroom.
But to your surprise, you found a familiar face in the hallway.
-“Miss! You’re Gojo’s secretary right?”-The supplier asked, waving his hands at you to come over.
-“Yes, sir, can I help you with anything?”-You answered with a grin.
-“If you’re so very kind, I’d like to know what kind of jet you both traveled here in, because I’d also like one that can hold as much cocaine as yours do.”
You chuckled at the poor guy in front of you, too drunk out of his mind to comprehend what he’s saying.
-“Sir, we didn’t bring any cocaine; the only thing the plane carried were the three people that were in the room with you.”-You smiled as you explained the situation to him.
-“Don’t try to act sly with me, young woman! Your boss just told me that he secretly brought over 400 kilos in that jet of his; he brought them to sell over here while I released some of my product to him.”
As he uttered that sentence, your heart dropped to the bottom of your stomach. This morning you were used as a drug mule, and you didn’t even notice it.
You truly thought he would respect your boundaries.
How foolish.
You start to tremble as you start to imagine what could have been if the navy or the immigration officers wanted to inspect the plane and found the three of you with all those drugs in it.
You run back to the bathroom feeling sick, thinking that by slim chance your hard-worked career was almost over. No, your precious life was over if they decided to try you for drug possession in a country as strict as China, all because of his stupid greed.
You dried your sweat as you quickly mapped out an exit back to Japan without your two business partners finding out about you knowing their dirty little secret. Now you knew you couldn’t trust them; it was idiotic of you in the first place to do so.
You quickly ran to the entrance unbeknownst to the fact that Geto was trailing after you since the moment you left the dining room. Sure, he could have prevented the supplier from telling the truth, but that would’ve been even more suspicious in your eyes, so he finally had to let the truth break free.
You signaled over one of the cars that Gojo put at your service; all you hoped for was to get your passport back from the villa and take the first flight back to your home country and maybe even treat yourself to a little crying session in the taxi.
But the moment your hand met the car door handle, a cold force pulled you back by your free hand.
-“Please, baby, let me explain.”-Gojo stated out as he felt his heart rip to shreds due to the liquid pearls forming in your eyes.-“You weren’t supposed to know; I knew we weren’t gonna get caught, so I didn’t want you to know since I knew you’d get nerv-“
A smack was heard echoing the Shanghai streets as Gojo held his red cheek after his sentenced was slapped into the air since you decided to give him a taste of what a liar like him deserved.
-“I fucking hate you!”-you yelled out while pointing a finger at him while wiping your tears with the back of your other hand.-“ I wish I never met any of you motherfuckers!”-You said as you pointed to Geto and his crew.
What surprises all of them next was your ability to get lost in the busy Shanghai streets after crossing a simple street.
Gojo didn’t hesitate to chase after you into unknown territory wishing he could turn time back, unbeknownst to himself that some threatening enemies were watching close by.

Title: Please Don't Forget Me
Summary: Rindou thinks you and his friends have all collectively decided to forget his birthday but little does he know that's not the case at all. Link to Masterlist here
cw: afab! reader, established relationship, marriage and kids mentioned, pet names (princess, babe) lots of kissing, some suggestive themes, all of bonten make an appearance, Rindou is so soft and cute. Reblogs Appreciated!
Tumblr media
Rindou tries not to be bothered by the fact that you don’t say Happy Birthday when he wakes up.
It’s petty, it’s childish, and really he’s never cared much for the day anyway in the years before you arrived and so he wonders why it feels like an ache when you don’t suggest the birthday special as breakfast- strawberry pancakes and extra syrup that he’ll say is bad for the health but have nonetheless, because you’re so eager to make it despite being tired, and he likes to watch how you squeeze out syrup and then lick the excess from your thumb, his eyes wandering to your lips, as they often do. And when you catch him staring and wink at him, he’s prone to looking away many years later, birthdays and a wedding that you’ve both shared, as if he’s still young and it’s new, the thought of kissing you that plays heavily in his mind as he clears plates and washes them while you scroll through morning TV.
But you don’t and he doesn’t begrudge you for it when he knows you’re heavily pregnant and the walk from the stairs to the kitchen is hard enough, even with him there to hold onto you as you take small and uncertain steps.
‘Sorry Rin, I know it’s a hassle,’ you say when you reach the bottom and hold onto his forearm in support, a heavy and laboured breath that has the hair escaping from your low ponytail and you flush when he gives you an encouraging smile, a hand coming up to rub at your back, your hips, to trail along your cheek before he leans over to kiss you on the forehead.
‘No, no, don't ever say that, nothing about you is a hassle to me,’ he says, his shirt only partially buttoned, a single sock on his foot, hair unbrushed and still sticking up from the back from where it’s been pressed into the pillow. ‘You should have just let me carry you Princess.’
And you roll your eyes, albeit playfully and assure him the exercise is good for you and the baby, and really, he forgets all about his birthday right then- with you leaning on him at the bottom of the stairs, your very obvious bump that he places a hand on to rub soothing circles over and he thinks he has every gift he could ever ask for in this space, that it’s dumb, silly even, to care about such trivial things when you’re here and he likes, no loves, you for it. He helps you to the bathroom, holds up your bump when you brush your teeth with a kiss to the back of your neck and you feel spoiled- the two of you barefoot in the bathroom, cold tiles under your feet that make you shiver because you’ve left the furry slippers upstairs (yours pink, Rindou’s blue for clarification) and you giggling at how he tickles your neck with his nose, a smile that’s foamy with toothpaste grinning back at him in the mirror.
And he feels too lucky to care that it’s his birthday and you might have forgotten. Because really it’s okay just like this and the small, minute even, ache of it having been forgotten doesn’t mean much right here where you are.
He is lucky.
‘Mhm, you’re going to be late Rin,’ you say when he kisses you as you do his tie, a long and sensual brush of his lips that has his hands finding your hips to pull you against him, that leads to him cupping your cheeks, all fragile and soft and vulnerable when you say ‘Be safe today okay?’ and him nodding, telling you he will, knowing you believe him, knowing you need him to. You wonder if your love can ever not feel like it’s eating you whole at those moments, your foreheads together like lovers sharing secrets, fresh tears you’re eager not to show him, because you never want him to worry on your behalf when he has so much of it by himself that he hides from you for the same reason. You kiss him again at the door, your own hands slipping to his hips as you marvel at how real he is underneath your touch- at how lucky you are to be the one in a million he’s chosen when you know he could have anyone and anything.
‘Now who’s going to make me late huh Princess?’ he says and chuckles, a final press of his lips to yours before you let go reluctantly, a smile left for you in the safe confines of the house where he turns to take a last look as he drives away, you on the doorstep lifting a hand to wave from under the blanket pulled around your shoulders.
Really, it’s just a day like any other and you are so good, so lovely, he couldn’t possibly find fault with you in any capacity, angry as he might be when you fight- always a word thrown in haste, his voice cutting clear across yours, the two of you separated by the island in the kitchen and yet somehow ending up in bed with his lips pressed to yours, all semblance of anger forgotten when you tell him you love him for the umpteenth time, and he tells you ‘I know Princess,’ in response as you curl up on his chest with a finger running along the ink of his tattoos. Because he does and it might be hard to explain at the worst of times, but he’s never doubted it even during then.
And you watch him drive off, a piece of your heart in his palm for safekeeping, a piece of his in yours for warmth.
He arrives shortly at the Bonten office, one of many in fact in downtown Tokyo, mild for this time of year, a buttery sunlight that he thinks reminds him of you, the sun breaking through grey clouds he says, and a baby blue sky that looks like the toys strewn about the nursery yet to be used. He thinks of you when he walks in, of the daytime TV he knows you find boring and tend to tell him about when he returns, all the politics he doesn’t really follow that you care about still and he enjoys how you pace the room sometimes with a hand on your bump, or lay on the bed on your back to tell him your thoughts on some think piece that you say is ‘full of shit’. To which he laughs every time.
But he tries not to be sullen this time when the others don’t wish him a happy birthday when he walks into the first meeting of the day. Mikey leaning back on his chair and Koko walking them through a presentation that half of them are tuning out of already and he glances around at the others idly tapping away on phones and yawning still.
‘You’re quiet,’ Ran says when they leave, a gentle brush of his shoulders to his younger Brother, taller and broader now than they used to be but still his treasure all the same. ‘Did something happen?’ They make for the car park underground where they slip into Kakucho’s car for the second task of the day, Rindou mumbling as he slips into the backseat alone, arms crossed and staring out of the window, a glum pout that he meets in the reflection of the glass.
‘No,’ he says, a little too quickly to be believable, and Ran raises an eyebrow at Kakucho over the console as he slips a seatbelt on, a stern reminder for his Brother to do the same.
‘Sure it didn’t. Is that why you’ve been so moody ever since you got here?’
‘I am not moody.’ And Rindou turns his legs towards the window and the door, begrudgingly slipping a seatbelt on and meeting his Brother’s smirk in the mirror with a scowl of his own. ‘I’m just not in the mood today.’
‘Oh? Why today?’ Ran says, a deliberate and calculated movement of eyes that has him glancing back at Rindou in the backseat. It never fails to take his breath away, days like today when he looks back and sees Rindou for all he is, all he has been and has yet to be, the little Brother who is not a day older than 18 in his eyes, his treasure and reason for living, the sullen and quiet boy that’s now a man, married and soon to be a father, all grown up as he watched and cheered him on. Sometimes- no- most of the times- it is strange to think that they had parents at all, with all the raising Ran has done, the father he has been without intending to be, that for all his faults, he still thinks he hasn’t done good enough with.
Rindou only scowls further and purses his lips. He knows it’s childish, he knows there’s no obligation on anyone to remember, nothing they need to give him- as if it could ever mean more than the times they’ve bled out trying to save him, more than the countless hours in hospital chairs and surgically white rooms as they waited with bated breaths for him to wake up and recover.
He loves them still and it’s hard to explain, even harder to talk about when he considers that outside of you, they are all he has. His Brother- friends, even Sanzu and Mikey, that he’d still die for if he ever needed to.
But it does hurt and it’s not an ignorable pain when he thinks of the collectiveness of all of you forgetting his Birthday on this particular year, when it’s because of you that he began to value the day at all. It is hard not to feel disappointed, all the guilt at the act itself that churns in his stomach when he wonders why he’s being so ungrateful for the greatest gifts of his life that he has been given in multitude.
‘Rindou,’ Kakucho says later in the day, beckoning him over as he wipes down the barrel of his handgun, the components splayed apart on the oaken desk, each piece now pristine and shining with a glimmer of gold and silver.
‘Yeah?’ Rindou says and breaks away from the window where he’s staring at the city, at the sun which falls over the edge of the horizon, a splash of pale orange and coral pink that dances along the gaps in the blinds.
Kakucho picks up the handgun and turns it this way and that, his good eye then narrowed as he feigns an aim down his sights, an arm flexed in the crisp pale blue dress shirt. ‘You’re quiet today, is there any particular reason why?’
Rindou sighs, plants his palms on the desk and all but flops into the chair opposite Kakucho. ‘When will everyone stop asking me that?’
‘Maybe when you answer it. It’s not like you that’s all- you’re usually very diligent, very upfront with your tasks.’
‘And you’re saying I wasn’t?’ Rindou says, an edge to his voice that tells Kakucho he’s affronted, a shake of his head that has his fringe slipping over his forehead, all incredulity lacing the edge of his voice.
‘I didn’t say that,’ Kakucho says, an eyebrow raised over the barrel of the gun that he wipes and shines with a microfibre cloth. ‘You just seemed distracted that’s all, as if you were upset. No one is making any accusations, we were just concerned.’
There is a pause then, the sound of the air con whirring in the vents above them, the tap of a keyboard in the office next door, a voice underneath - a maniac cackle that undulates all the others. Rindou shifts awkwardly, moving his weight from one leg to another, an accusatory glance that he can’t hold under Kakucho’s weighted stare, that he breaks first to look at the ashtray on the desk.
And then, quietly, a whisper even- as if he’s ashamed- ‘It’s my birthday.’
He seems to shrink in his seat, an embarrassment that has him hiding behind his fringe again, crossing his arms and pouting at the window where the sunlight spills in over the frosted glass.
Kakucho sits, flicks open his cigarette tin and slides a single unlit cigarette out that he slips between his lips. ‘And you think everyone’s forgotten or something?’
‘Look, it doesn’t matter, I really don’t care, I just wish everyone would stop asking why the hell I’m so damn quiet. It’s not a big deal.’ And then as an afterthought- like a douse of cold water over his head, ‘Sorry- shit, didn’t mean to blow up at you.’
Kakucho pauses in thought, a long and drawn out sigh. ‘It’s fine, but what about your Wife?’
‘She didn’t say anything,’ Rindou says, hackles rising despite himself, all the conflict he’d never direct at you now bubbling to the surface- because he doesn’t believe you should ever feel burdened, indebted, obligated in any way to him and perhaps he’d rather soothe his aches alone than ever shove what he thinks is the responsibility of himself on you.
Yet he had felt himself stiffen this morning and if you had felt that flash of pain you had ignored it completely when you leaned forward to fix his tie and shirt collars and he had cursed himself for a reaction he didn’t mean and didn’t want to burden you with.
‘I see.’ Kakucho leans back in his seat and lights the cigarette with a hand cupped around the lighter, the flame flickering, whispering at the dash of cold air through the vents. ‘Why don’t we go get a drink together? Just you and me, we can kill some time, so at least you can say you did something.’
‘I really shouldn’t, my Wife-’
‘She will be fine Rindou, she has all of our contacts. Besides, I don’t think she’d want to see you this sullen either.’
‘I am not sullen!’
Kakucho chuckles and holds up his hands in surrender. ‘I’d ask Ran too but I think he’s busy tonight and it’ll only be an hour or so, I know you want to get home.’
Rindou deliberates, an anxious and awkward shuffle of his leg up and down, chewing on his lip in thought, a long and slow glance that belies his embarrassment, as if he’s ashamed at feeling so vulnerable.
‘Besides, I could do with the company myself, and everyone else is busy.’ Kaku adds as an afterthought, the slope of Rindou’s shoulders loosening, tight wires of tension now unfolding and unfurling as his resolve weakens, because he is just like that- quick to serve others and deny his own feelings, quick to reign himself in for who he cares about.
And then after a moment. ‘Okay fine, but I’m asking my Wife first. If she needs me, I’m not going.’
And Kakucho hums as Rindou fishes his phone from his pocket, your contact illuminated with your smiling face- you looking over your shoulder at him candidly in black and white and his heart stutters as he types out a message to you, bated breaths and the beginnings of a small smile that he is quick to attempt to hide.
“Hey Princess, I hope your day is going well. Kaku wants to go for a drink later, are you okay with that?” (14:30)
“Hey Handsome, yeah I’m good with it. You have fun, okay?” (14:32)
“Are you sure you’ll be okay with the Baby for a bit?” (14:33)
“Mhm, I’ll be fine, I’ll call if I need anything. You enjoy yourself and tell Kaku I said hi.” (14:34)
He pockets his phone then, a little looser, a little calmer now, the comfort of you that melts his hurts, the softness of you that cools his heart.
‘Well?’ Kakucho asks expectantly.
‘She said it’s okay, and she said hi too.’
‘Mhm, she’s a good girl you know, make sure you look after her. There are few who can deal with who we are and what we’ve done, and she’s one of them.’
Rindou falters, a redness flickering over his skin, the usual for when you’re mentioned, when he recalls how fortunate he is despite all he has done, all the things he’s taken from others just to enjoy them himself.
He is not a good person.
He does not claim to be, none of them do. Does it make a difference when he wonders why you chose him? When he considers all that you are, all that you could be, all that you deserve that he will never live up to- as if he needs to. And maybe he does think about it on occasion, all his insecurity, all the faults he’s insistent will only push you away one day.
As if you could ever leave him.
But he calms for a time till the evening, when he slips into Kakucho’s car, a quick message sent to you to tell you where he’s going, a heart at the end that makes you giggle on the other side.
And for the hour, he forgets. That he was annoyed, mad, sullen as the others would say, while he talks about you and the preparations for the baby, the colour of the nursery that he has yet to paint, the tins of magnolia and pale lavender that still sit by the unassembled cot and baby basket, all the toys and clothes you’ve amassed, with a stern word that the baby could come any day now. Kakucho thinks he looks wistful, a finger swirling around the edge of the glass, a single ice cube clinking at the bottom, his jacket discarded on the back of the chair and looking looser and softer now, the tips of his ears and cheeks tinted in a rosy pink that has nothing to do with the alcohol.
Kakucho doesn’t drink much since Izana’s passing, and so it is him who drives the two of them to your apartment, where the lights are off and the street is quiet save for the occasional cicada and the whistle of a faint breeze passing through the leaves crackling and crushed underfoot.
‘Thanks, for today I mean,’ Kakucho says, the engine a low thrum underneath him, the window now rolled to a thin slat with which the chill slips into the heated car.
‘Nah, you’re good. Drive safe back alright?’ Rindou says, leaning down against the window with a knock of reassurance against the glass, his jacket over his arm as he slips the keys from the pocket and watching Kakucho’s car fade as he dips around the bend in the road, the resounding thrum of the engine now bleeding into the night’s crisp chill.
He takes a breath before opening the door, the day forgotten, his heart a soft and constant pat against his ribs, giddy with the concept of seeing you, slipping into the same bed you’ve made love on countless times, your hair that gets in his mouth and face, that he wakes up with over his cheeks, the scent of it that lingers on the pillows and sheets long after you’ve left.
He knows he isn’t angry, that this morning was a fleeting and momentary lull, that it never changes what you both mean- not his feelings, and not yours either, when you consider all you’ve said and done for each other and here he is, back at the door again, his home that is yours too that is more than just four walls and roof. The home where his heart is nestled safely in your palm.
They say families acquire their own unique scent after a time, and it’s a comfort in itself when he opens the door to find your shoes neatly lined up on the carpet and the scent of vanilla and clean linen pressed into the shape of the walls.
‘Princess? I’m home,’ he says and bends to pull his shoes off in the dark, his hip against the door for support and his house and car keys tossed into the bowl on the cabinet, where a pair of your own sits on top of a pile of pennies.
It occurs as strange to him when he finds that you do not make a hum of acknowledgement from the other room- a replacement of sorts for your inability to run and bound into his arms like you used to and he wonders briefly, and with a soft stir in his chest, whether you’ve fallen asleep on the sofa, a blanket that you’ve somehow bunched up around your legs as you’re prone to do, with the TV on as background noise, a faint blue light that he tells you is bad for you with a click to his tongue.
But you do not respond when he walks deeper into the house, bumping against the bannister of the staircase towards the sitting room where the open doorway is a cavernous mouth to the darkness inside and the only light is the red flare of the TV on standby.
‘Princess?’ he says and throws his jacket onto what he believes is the sofa before lifting his hand towards the light switch and flicking it up with a finger.
‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY!’ A chorus of voices explodes, a chorus of bodies swarms into view.
Streamers, party hats, confetti, a disco ball.
A cake too.
And Rindou freezes, a hand still on the light switch.
There you are, behind the coffee table with a party hat on, a loose shirt that swells from where your bump stretches the fabric, a shy and coy smile that he knows is reserved for him, all the softness in your eyes that still look tired and weary despite yourself, a pair of his sweatpants you say feel more comfortable than anything you own now that you’re pregnant.
He swells with so much love it burns him, a ferocious knock of his heart against his ribs, a lump in his throat that he makes an effort to swallow down, tongue heavy and leaden on the roof of his mouth.
‘What’s….all this?’ he says apprehensively, eyes darting to Ran coming from behind the sofa where he’d bent to hide, a matching party hat and confetti caught in the fine gelled strands of his hair and patting Rindou with a comforting and reassuring hand before pulling of him to his chest, a hand on the back of his head to bring him to his shoulder like he has done so many times before, like he wishes he could as often as he did when they were younger.
Ran has never forgotten, the baby he held as a youngster, a small and fragile Rindou in his arms, the same blond hair that stuck up in tufts, curious and apprehensive eyes that stared up at him from the cradle, a short and pudgy arm held out to grab at Ran’s hair.
Rindou tenses, unshed tears that have his throat thickening at the way Ran squeezes him to his chest, crushing and not all at once, a shudder of his chest that he feels viscerally in sync with his own.
‘Happy Birthday Brother,’ Ran says, a crack in his voice he swallows against, a grin that touches his eyes where the soft glaze and shine have Rindou’s misting with a veil of tears. ‘You didn’t think we’d actually forget did you?’
‘I…I don’t understand,’ Rindou says, eyes roaming from Ran who holds a hand on his shoulder, to Sanzu and Mikey lounging on the sofa, the party hat that looks wildly out of place framing the platinum silver of his Boss’s hair, to Takeomi and Mochi with an unlit cigarette between his lips leaning on the kitchen door, and Koko holding Rindou’s jacket with a shaky frown that melts into an amicable smile.
And you. Who comes around the table with a slice of cake on a paper plate and a fork, a tear track on your cheek that catches the odd flash of the purple disco lights. You slide a free arm around his back, your hand smoothing between his shoulder blades, a wobbly smile that quivers when he turns to you with a look of naked adoration, the glassy shine of his eyes meeting yours before you lean over to press a kiss to the corner of his lips, rosy pink and supple.
‘Hello Handsome, Happy Birthday,’ you say, all the love you never speak about, all the love you do, pressed to his lips and to his skin when you lean your head on his shoulder, tucking yourself to his side where you feel best, where you belong, the softness of him that’s warm to the touch.
‘Princess… I’m sorry.’ And he pulls you closer still, a hand squeezing gently at your hip, a smooth circle rubbed into the bump, his big hand now splayed over your dress and stroking at it with his thumb.
‘Mhm? What for?’
‘I was angry, I thought you’d forgotten- I know it’s stupid but I-’
‘Rindou,’ you say, a pointed and deliberate arch of your brows, now cutting lengthwise down the slice of cake to scoop with a fork. ‘There’s no need for that Babe, but you know I’d never forget right?’ You gesture to the fork with a tip of your head and Rindou, a dusting of pink on his cheeks, leans forward to take a bite, his hand nudging you closer till your hips meet side by side, the other cheering with raucous laughter. A party popper goes off over your heads and the thin streams of glitter and paper dance between the strands of your hair, all shimmering silver at the two of you with your heads bent closely, conspiratorially like lovers sharing secrets.
‘I know, I just- I guess for a second…I’m sorry that’s all.’
You shake your head, your lips meeting his, the taste of promise, the taste of warmth on his tongue when you kiss him then, your free hand on his chest to feel him against you, loud cheers and a hand on your back that has heat flickering along your skin.
'It was hard trying not to make it obvious, poor Kakucho had to keep you away for long enough,' you say, a teasing lilt to the edge of your voice.
'He was in on this too?!'
You laugh and his heart trips. He knows you’re smiling by how your breath changes then, how it stutters and wavers, a fan of warmth on his nose when you pull back and he wonders at what manner of good he did to get here, at what it means when you are so forgiving and the light of the disco ball hung in the centre of your sitting room has flashes of silver and purple kissing at your skin and he is alive with promise. He is loved, so loved, you think, when you hand him gift after gift, a shy and awkward ‘thanks’ that he receives them all with, a burning on his cheeks that he hope you don’t see when you tug him to bed and come undone together again, the moonlight slipping in through the netting when you both nestle further into the covers.
And when you hold him close to you that night, long after they leave and the thin streams of paper litter the sitting room for tomorrow, you wonder at how luck like this can be yours, can be possible, at what manner of good things you have, and what you did to deserve them. A marriage and a Baby and a Husband you would kill for, a life you love despite its rarity.
Little do you know that Rindou sleeps with his face nestled in the crook of your neck, his breath warm and constant against your ear, dreaming of the same thing.
