TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN
—ALTERNATE UNIVERSE
Pairing: Azrael Eveningstar x Seraphim Angel! Reader
Genre: romance
Warnings: mentions of sex but not written into detail.
Notes: an alternate universe where [y/n]'s family is complete, Xavier doesn't have any daddy issues nor has any hatred for Charlie as he doesn't give any crap about her and Lucifer, where it was simply the wrong person and wrong time. Where it was Azrael who is endgame.
Additional notes: this is for the anon that requested an Azrael x reader fic 🫶 this has no relevance to the actual series but this was originally the route I wanted to write but didn't go through as it is a Lucifer x reader 😔
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Swans, they tend to be the kind of creatures who would 'mate for life' choosing one partner till the end of their time, although there are instances where 'divorce' happens.
All throughout his life, Azrael made sure to be there for [y/n], his closest and most genuine friend. As the angel of death, most angels are wary of him. Unlike most angels, his appearance or type of fashion is on the darker spectrum, choosing to wear the colors black, gold, and white for his outfits and not to mention, his angel wings are as black as the abyss.
[Y/n] has been there for him, genuine with him and is not afraid of him. A rare gem indeed. At first, he only saw her as a friend but slowly and surely it developed into something more profound.
He got his heartbroken as the most beautiful angel of heaven made her his before he could. He had to pretend he was happy for them, he was happy for her—he could tell that Lucifer made [y/n] so happy and that is something he needed to respect.
Azrael kept his distance. Watching over her when he had the time.
Then Lucifer fucked up. Choosing to doom humanity and also breaking the heart of one of the kindest angels in heaven. Azrael watched as Lucifer was cast out of heaven together with Lilith, the first human woman. Azrael made sure to make eye contact with Lucifer as he fell. An eye contact carrying so many words despite the silence, you messed up, little duckling. Let the swan show you how to do it.
After Lucifer was banished, [y/n] fell into depression. She just lost the love of her life after all and on top of that, she was pregnant with that man's child.
Azrael promised to be there, to be her rock and moral support during these trying times, and so he did.
Azrael lessened his workload on earth, making sure to spend all of his free time with her, helping her during the pregnancy.
A broken soul fixing another broken soul.
He was there, he was there during childbirth, he was there all throughout Xavier's life.
It took a while, thousands of years actually before [y/n] finally removed the wedding ring Lucifer gave her.
“I think, I should stop holding on to the past.” [y/n] whispers to Azrael, they sat on the couch in the living room of her mansion. Azrael looked at her in surprise as he finally noticed the ring no longer present on her fingers. His eyes widened and [y/n] chuckled softly.
“It is what it is.” she says softly with a smile, placing her hand on top of Azrael's hand.
“Yes, I may have loved Lucifer but he chose to leave and I think I should stop holding on to someone who didn't even stop to think about his family. I think I am ready to give myself a second chance at love.” she whispers softly, Azrael's hand squeezed hers in assurance. Listening to her, something Lucifer didn't do.
Finally looking up at him, her eyes were gentle and filled with adoration, “Azrael, I was a fool. It took so long for me to realize that.... I liked you, I was so scared of the idea, scared of letting go over someone who didn't give a crap about me and his son. I am such a foo—”
Her voice was cut off as Azrael leaned down to press his lips against hers gently, not forceful. Enough to just their lips to slightly press, enough to shut her up.
“Shh... You're not, well... A little bit but that's not the point.” he says with a chuckle. Pale cheeks dusted with red as he shyly avoided her gaze.
“What matters is that... You realized and I am so happy right now..” he whispers softly, cupping her face with his hands.
[Y/n] looking at him with a blush on her cheeks, mesmerized and taken aback, “[Y/n] Caeles, I liked you... I like you a lot.” he whispers.
[Y/n]'s voice hitched softly, flustered by his confession. She smiled softly, “I liked you too. I'm sorry it took me a while to realize.” she says softly and Azrael laughs, not the usual mocking laugh he gives to others but the genuine one that she's privileged to hear.
“It's fine.”
The kiss that followed after was the sweetest kiss they ever experienced.
Tumblr media
The two actually took their relationship slowly, focusing on healing and parenting Xavier—though, the boy was already old enough to understand.
Azrael and [y/n] got married when Xavier was 124 years old. The boy was happy that his parents actually got married.
Tumblr media
The family was happy and had a healthy relationship.
Azrael built [y/n] a backyard tulip garden with a small river in both their heaven and earth homes. There he and [y/n] would spend swimming in the river in their swan forms, Xavier third wheeling as he watches his parents formed a heart together with their necks as swans.
Tumblr media
During day offs, the couple would make sure to spend time with Xavier, asking the boy what he has been up to while they were away for work.
The three would spend their day outside having a picnic by the river.
Xavier doesn't have any daddy issues in this universe, he doesn't give two shits about his biology father.
Xavier could easily approach Azrael whenever he has a problem, a papa and mama's boy.
Tumblr media
In the mansion in heaven, there's a large family portrait of the three that is hung on the living room wall.
Azrael standing behind the chair [y/n] was sitting on, Xavier standing on her right side. A regal look on their faces, slightly condescending even. The type of face rich people make during those royal portraits in movies? Yes, that.
Tumblr media
Azrael and [y/n] truly love each other. Very protective and possessive.
Azrael often gifts his wife jeweleries, often gifting her sapphires as he knows she loves it.
Tumblr media
Lovemaking is sensual and slow, doesn't happen too often but when they do. It's sensual and desperate. They can't get enough of each other.
Xavier has to leave the house quietly as he is traumatized.

How and why Lilith didn't do anything wrong and still deserves justice.
(Or aka, me ranting about the corruption of the Celestial Realm once again)
(This is essentially just me rambling into the void, but it continues to fester in my mind, so please indulge me if you can lol)
Tumblr media
Lilith, the 7 sin's sweet little sister who met an unfortunate fate; did NOTHING wrong. What she did was nothing worthy of the severe punishment that was given. It's one of the many instances of the Celestial Realm being corrupted, but it's THIS specific instance that makes my head spin.
For starters, no, Lilith did NOT get punished for falling for and being with a human. This is a common misconception, so I'd like to make that clear.
What Lilith got punished for; was stealing Celestial Realm food and altering a human's life-span. I am here today to discuss why there was entirely nothing wrong with Lilith's decisions and how the Celestial Realm's decisions were nothing but harmful and hypocritical.
Let's get this show rolling. Let's go over my First focus point: The Celestial Realm Food.
My first question; is why. WHY keep something that could be so valuable AWAY from humans? For angels, their very purpose is to help humans, to quite literally perform miracles. So why?
Why not cure this human of an incurable illness when it's so easy? Why do they INSIST on causing more pain to the human in suffering, as well as the people, and in this case, angels around them?
It's not like Lilith's lover was on his deathbed because of old age. It's not like it was his time. So what was stopping the Celestial Realm from just healing him in the first place?
There was nothing to lose. Lilith could've been happy, and with it, an entire WAR could've been avoided.
The fact that even later in the story, WITH MC, Celestial Realm food is just. Treated normally? It's literally one of the VERY first things that come up! That in Lesson 7, they have food served from different realms when staying at Diavolo's castle.
Devildom food on the first day, Celestial Realm food on the second day and Human World food on the third day.
You can make the argument that it could've been a very specific and special Celestial Realm food, after all, it DOES provide healing abilities. The problem with that is; it's a hypothetical. It could've been a very rare and special fruit, or it could've been the Celestial Realm equivalent to a fucking donut.
In the end; it's never stated to be anything special. All that is said is that it's simply made out to be ordinary Celestial Realm food. That's the plain and simple information given, and unless there's something specific we don't know about; we have to take this as fact.
If it's not stated in canon; then it's not canon. This is rule of thumb.
If we go with this, then we can make the argument that all Celestial Realm food is inherently healing to humans. At the end of the day, no one is batting a single EYE with MC eating Celestial Realm food.
Which brings me to my second focus point: No one is batting a single eye with Solomon being immortal.
Let's bring in another hypothetical! Let's just say that whatever Lilith's human lover ate, turned him immortal. I'll first mention how this is very unlikely if not impossible.
Lilith lived a happy life with her lover as a human. Lilith also died as a human. Why would Lilith's human lover be any different? Why would he continue living? If that were to be the case, you'd think that it would make itself a plot point or at least be mentioned; but it's not.
BUT. For the sake of this hypothetical; let's just pretend he turned immortal. Whether he is still living or got killed years ago; let's just assume he was/ is immortal. (Note: Immortal simply means living forever. This does NOT equal immunity and removing the chances of being killed or something happening to you. Tons of people don't know this, and it astonishes me, so please live your life with this knowledge)
So.
He's immortal.
deep inhale...
WHY IS THIS A PROBLEM. LIKE??? DO I EVEN. HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF. AGGRESSIVELY POINTING TO SOLOMON HOW NO ONE HAS A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH HIM BEING IMMORTAL SO WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER I SWEAR THE CELESTIAL REALM IS SO FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL AND MAKES ZERO SENSE AND--
Conclusion!
So, uh, yeah, Lilith did nothing wrong and I am 100% a Lilith apologist.
Yeah, no, I'm not ending there. I still have one more thing to add. A question I've asked more times than I can count.
Why?
Why couldn't Lilith's lover live? Why did Lilith have to be punished? Why did a war have to break out?
And since no one will be giving me an answer, I'm providing myself one:
Because they wanted this to happen.
Is it really that surprising? The Realm that has done nothing but scheme, manipulate and brainwash, (gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss) that they were the ones to set up the war? Because they wanted it to happen? And still, WHY? Why would they want this to happen?
Well, for one, if you read this other lil theory/ analysis that you should definitely check out by the way--
God is fucking SALTY.
I'm sorry, I genuinely can't describe it any better. Like. I. Yeah. That's. That's genuinely it. That's the summary, that's the conclusion.
Okai, fine I'll explain a bit more.
God wanted to get rid of anyone who opposed him.
The brothers were already on the brink of falling; even before the war and what happened with Lilith. The brothers, along with Lilith I'm sure; were already defying God and questioning the very system they have pledged their lives to. (Not that they had a choice) God saw this; and so he planned. Planned a war, or rather; an excuse to get rid of the brothers. The very ones that have started questioning and defying him; but never stating it outright.
And the other angels and the like; accepted this and followed like sheep, as an unfortunate truth as that is.
Lilith's crimes weren't because she fell in love with a human, and it wasn't because she altered a human's life-span. Lilith's crimes were because she was defying a corrupted system, a corrupted ruler.
And she paid the price for acting as the catalyst just so her brothers could follow down with her.
Tumblr media
Wow! So! You made it! Allll the way down to the end of the post! You read it all, I'm so proud of you! Can't believe you'd listen to my silly lil ramblings, so thank you.

Do you think Adam will come back as a demon, having to redeem himself? It kind of feels like that's where the few hints at smth deeper going on with him are going.
Hi!
I mean, there is this:
Tumblr media
As Charlie and Emily sing about amoral angels staying in the sky, the focus is on Adam and he looks very triggered. I also personally hope he comes back because I think his character offers great opportunities to explore others. Like Lucifer, Lute, Sera, Lilith and Charlie herself. That said, I am also okay if he is meant as a one-season villain tbh. In this case, I trust it is because the story has other plot-lines to follow. Also, it would be an hilarious call-back to his line:
A man only lives once, we'll see you in one month Gotta say, I can't wait to Come down and exterminate you
Adam, you're either right in how THE man only lives once, or you are so wrong and Charlie is so right, that you yourself get a second chance :P
That said, I think there is clearly more about Adam, Eve, Lilith and Lucifer's dynamic that needs to be addressed (either through Adam coming back or in other ways):
Tumblr media
The series starts with the retelling of the myth of Eden in the form of a fairy tale. Still, it is clear that we are given only partial information.
Lucifer: Well, your first wife didn't seem to hate what I had to offer…or the second! Bowchicka pow pow!
Sera: He was the first human soul in heaven…
It is very unclear what happened with Eve and Adam himself is judged a "virtuous soul", after his human death. Not only that, but he affirms what brought him into Heaven is:
Vaggie: reading list "Act selfless, don't steal, stick it to the man." Are you fucking serious?
Except that Adam never once acts selflessly throughout the whole season. So, I wonder if an eternity spent being spoilt in Heaven made him worse.
In short, the things I am interested in when it comes to Adam are:
If and how Heaven has changed him
His relationship with Lucifer and Lilith (Eden + his pact with Lilith)
Let's now try to analyze Adam, starting with what we have in the series.
ADAM THE ANGEL
Tumblr media
Adam: Call me, Dickmaster.
Adam is introduced as a powerful angel and a jerkass mysoginist. Both things are important, as they tie to different conflicts:
Adam is a genocidal maniac, who mistreats everyone. Still, he is considered a virtuous soul and holds some authority in Heaven.
Adam is "the man" and is shown discriminating and dismissive towards women. According to Charlie's recount in Overture, his mysoginy might be at the very root of the conflict behind the forbidden fruit and the birth of Hell.
These two sides of Adam come together in his interactions with Charlie, who is both a demon and a woman.
1- He dismisses Charlie's ideas of redemption in his song Hell is Forever, which is full of Christian references:
'Cause it's cut and dry Fair is fair, an eye for an eye And, when all's said and done (said and done) There's the question of fun And for those of us with divine ordainment Extermination is entertainment! Guitar solo, fuck yeah!
In general, he sees himself as superior to demons because he was judged worthy of Heaven. In his mind, this makes him automatically the "good guy", while people who exhibits virtues like Charlie or Angel are still beneath him, as they are demons. In short, he has a black and white mentality:
'Cause the rules are black and white There's no use in tryin' to fight it
2- He flirts with Charlie and calls her with sexist names:
Adam: I got you again, bitch! *laughs* Fuckin' hilarious!
Not only that, but his overall characterization highligths his sexism to hilarious degrees. Some examples:
His favourite food is ribs because Eve was born from one. So, it is as if he likes "eating women up"
He leads an army of hot and lethal women, who follow his orders in battle (classical male fantasy)
He gives Vaggie the name "Vagina" and calls it "the best thing ever"
So, Adam is a combination between a zealous religious fanatic and the patriarchy. All neatly tied up with jock imagery (his tunic resembles a letterman jacket). As a result, his interactions with Charlie explore two different power dynamics:
Heaven vs Hell or to better say Hell is Forever vs A Happy Day In Hell. Is Hell a place of eternal damnation or is it a chance of redemption?
Man vs Woman - Adam is far more childish and less intelligent than Charlie, but she has to kiss his butt because he is in a role of power. As it often happens in human society.
The question is: "How can such a person be worthy of Heaven?"
SERA THE MOTHER
Tumblr media
Sera: I thought, since I'm older It's my load to shoulder
Sera is Adam's authority figure, as she is the only one Adam shows respect for. He asks for her validation and is ashamed after disappointing her. Considering Adam was created by the angels, it is easy to infer Sera is probably the closest thing he has to a mother. This also ties with Sera's overall role in the narrative, where she is framed as a parental figure to Emily and to the other angels and souls:
Tumblr media
Not only that, but her parenting style seems rooted in the determination to protect those in her care, no matter what:
Sera: It is my position as the head Seraphim to protect our people at all costs.
Even if she has to lie to them:
I wanted to save you, the anguish it takes to Do what was required
Or if others end up hurt in the process:
Sera: Heaven needs us, Emily. Everyone looks to us… and we can't doubt ourselves or worry about the fates of demons when we have our own souls to protect.
She keeps Emily and the rest of Heaven in a Gilded Cage and chooses to exterminate the Sinners. In a sense, she too sees the world in black and white, just like Adam. Her loved ones. All the others. This attitude is present in her relationship with Adam too, as she enables him. Some examples:
She gives Adam permission to lead the exterminations. Even if Sera thinks killing Sinners is necessary, there is no reason to entrust it to Adam, who has a very obvious grudge against Lucifer.
He lets Adam boss around the exorcists and mistreat them. Like he did with Vaggie. In general, Sera gives him no rules, if not a generic "do not embarass me" one. And even then, Adam faces no consequence after he reveals the secret.
Sera is angry at Adam's cruelty towards Charlie and reproaches him for targeting the Hazbin Hotel. Still, this is all she does. She could have stopped Adam from attacking the hotel. And yet, she only makes a single remark.
In general, Sera gives Adam free reign and even fulfills all his cruellest requests. This is made clear during Charlie and Adam's questioning.
Since the beginning, Charlie is set up to lose and the seating arrangement shows it. Sera and Emily are at the very top, as they are the judges. Below them there is the jury and then there are the two sides. Still, Charlie and Adam are not at the same level. Adam is higher, while Charlie is at the very bottom.
Sera sustains Adam's petty objection:
Adam: Objection, lame and unoriginal. Sera: Sustained. No further dictionary references please.
But she is about to refuse Charlie's request and only agrees to it because of Emily:
Charlie: Angel will make good decisions, come on! We have to keep watching! Please? Sera: sighs Yeah, I don't know. Emily: Yeah, let's give him a chance. Sera: Very well, the court will allow it.
Finally, when Adam reveals Vaggie's secret (which is irrelevant to the matter at hand), Sera allows it to happen:
Tumblr media
She is the one projecting Vaggie's angelic shadow on the wall. Once again she enables Adam's cruelty, instead of stopping it.
in short, Adam is a person who ascends to Heaven, but once there he spends millenias without anyone questioning or disagreeing with him. All his self-serving fantasies are fulfilled and he is never punished nor called out. As a result, he clearly becomes complacent and grows worse:
Lucifer: So, this is what you been up to since Eden? Gotta say, you've really let yourself go, buddy.
Lucifer's taunt mostly references Adam's physique. Still, this is metaphorically true for Adam's soul, as well. In the end, Adam regresses in Heaven, instead of evolving. Moreover, he never addresses nor solves the key event, which defined his life.
LUCIFER AND LILITH
Tumblr media
Adam: You judging me? You're the most hated being in all of creation!
Adam's sense of self is clearly warped by what(ever) happened in Eden. Specifically, he is hurt that both his relationships with Lilith and Eve ended up badly (apparently). This is why:
He overcompensates by being overly masculine. He insists he is THE MAN and keeps blubbering about his love adventures. And yet, he has still no wife, that we know of.
He projects his own feelings on Lilith and Lucifer, to the point that thousands of years later, he chooses "messing their home", as his hobby. Specifically, he tries to steal Lilith away (through their deal) and to make Lucifer as miserable as possible ( which is why the King of Hell sends Charlie to meet Adam at the very beginning - he doesn't want to deal with the Exorcist).
This behavior is mirrored in how he treats the Princess of Hell too.
On the one hand Adam associates what he considers Charlie's positive traits with Lilith:
Adam: To think someone as worthless as you landed Lilith's little hottie. 'Grats on that I guess.
On the other hand Adam links what he believes to be Charlie's negative traits with Lucifer:
Adam: Risking your immortal life for sinners? That's some crazy shit, even for Lucifer's brat!
So, it is implied he still wants Lilith and despises Lucifer. These emotions are mirrored in his design, specifically his horned mask:
The horns ironically show that Adam was cheated on by (both?) his wife(s)
The horns give him a demonic-like appearance, which may be just another way Adam tries to appear more badass than what he is. All while trying to look more like a demon (Lucifer) to begin with
In other words, Adam is nothing, but a man scorned. Even moreso he is a person, who deep down could never really like himself. Hence why he chooses to wear a mask 24h/24h. Adam wants to be either a Demon or a God, but deep down he is just the Man. Ironically, this is what he could never truly accept about himself.
ADAM- A MAN
Tumblr media
In the final fight, Adam is unmasked and we get a glimpse of his real self. What is he like? His design is far more average and human-like than other angels and demons. It is even inspired by his real voice actor, apparently. Why is that so? Because deep down Adam is no-one special. He is just a dude. He is the man. Not even that. He is a man. A person.
Sadly, though, he refuses this truth and tries to be more:
Adam: I started everything on Earth! All of mankind came from these fucking nuts! You all should be worshipping me, you ungrateful, disgusting, fucking losers-
He tries to be God and in this way he becomes worse than a Demon. He dies pathetically, after refusing mercy:
Adam: No… you don't get to end this! I'm fucking Adam! I'm the fucking man, and you're just some fucking clown or something!
He sees Lucifer as his enemy, but the King of Hell barely registers his presence and only considers him in relation to Charlie. His true opponent turns out to be a small woman of low status. And even she barely considers him as someone worthy of her attention.
And yet, Adam is still a man and he shows humanity in death:
Lute: NOOOO! Sir! Sir! Stay with me sir! ADAM!
Lute is his one genuine bond and probably the only person who earnestly makes him happy.
If only he could have pursued his humanity, he might have not turned into a monster. He might have developed a healthier sense of self and could have become happier. Instead, he could never love himself for being just a man and has spent eternity trying to be someone different.
HEAVEN ISN'T MEANT TO SUCK A LOT
Adam embodies the anti-theme.
Charlie thinks that everyone can redeem themselves:
Charlie: If I can show them the dream I've dreamed That any soul can change! Then they will know everyone can be redeemed From the evil to the strange!
Adam thinks nobody truly can:
'Cause Hell is forever Whether you like it or not Had their chance to behave better Now they boil in the pot
Charlie tries to grow into her own person:
Gotta come into my own Gotta come into my throne Gotta take charge and defend my only home
Adam turns himself into an idol:
Tumblr media
The golden exorcists bring to mind the golden calf from the Bible.
Charlie thinks happiness and beauty can be found even in Hell:
I can hear all their stories The lost and displaced And I know that they're more of an acquired taste But if I open the door and I give them a place At my Hazbin Hotel It'll be a happy day in Hell!
Adam can't find happiness and beauty in Heaven and his only source of joy is knowing others suffer more than him:
Fuckin' Hell is forever And it's meant to suck a lot!
And yet, Hell might be meant to suck a lot, but Heaven shouldn't:
St. Peter and Emily: 'Cause every single day in Heaven is a happy day Welcome to Heaven
Still, Heaven could not make Adam happy. And if Heaven can't make its own people happy, then what is the point of such a Kingdom?
Sera: It's your position to keep them happy and joyful. Emily: How can I bring joy when I now know we are bringing misery to thousands of innocent people?
Adam is a character that embodies Heaven's problems, not only because he is an evil monster, but even moreso because he is an unhappy and unsatisfied man.
Here are my two cents on him :D We'll see if he comes back and manages to get some development!
Thank you for the ask!

Obey Me! Brothers & Thunderstorms:
━☆*:・゚✧✧ ♡ ❀ ♡ ✧━
Welcome! To this adventure! The characters may not be how you imagine! I apologize for any poor jokes, bad spelling, and terrible grammar. Without further ado, please enjoy the content. ♡
⚠︎Caution: Nighbringer Post⚠︎
CW: The Celestial Realm war talk, small amount of like angst PTSD talk, angst but eventual fluff.
Notes: this is supposed to take place soon after the fall, the brothers are in HoL, Mc isn't in this story, id say it's mostly told from Lucifers perspective of third person.
━☆*:・゚✧✧ ♡ ❀ ♡ ✧━━☆*:・゚✧✧ ♡ ❀ ♡ ✧━
The Devildom has some crazy weather, weather that can sometimes even scare demons. This story takes place on a particularly stormy night, the storms in the Devildom are a harsh difference to the ones in The Celestial Realm. The storms in the Devildom usually serve as a harsh reminder of the different lives the brothers have lived, a reminder of the actions that lead them to live in such a harsh dark place, that they now forever call home.
Lucifer is in his room, his brothers were getting used to the new house so they weren't causing too much trouble. He planned to listen to a cursed record and just try and enjoy the night, but he could hardly hear the music over the sound of the storm raging outside. The rain is beating against Lucifer's bedroom windows, the wind howling loudly. The lighting flashing through his windows and the loud crackle and booms of the thunder doesn't help ease his mind. Lucifer's been doing the opposite of relaxing ever since the storm started, everything about the storm has been subtly reminding Lucifer of a recent memory that's been haunting him. The loud noises of the storm reminded him of the screams and clashing sounds that he heard during The Celestial Realm War. Trying so hard to protect all his siblings and do what's right for all of them, to keep them all together and safe...but he failed. Yes he knows unlike his brothers that Lilith got a second chance, got reborn as a human..but she still wasn't with them any longer. Lucifer was happy Lilith got a second chance, happy she was getting to live and find someone to love without judgement...but he still feels like he failed as an older sibling...failed to keep them all safe and together...failed to- A knock on his bedroom door snaps Lucifer back to reality, he turns his head to look at the door just in time to spot white floofy hair and blue/yellow eyes peaking into his room. Stormy nights can be hard for Lucifer, but they're also a reminder to him that he's the eldest and has a responsibility to take care of and comfort the siblings he has now...not dwell on the ones he can't protect or care for anymore. With a deep breath Lucifer shoves all his thoughts and feelings to the back of his mind and looks at the second born peaking into his room giving Mammon a soft look, not his usual intimidating look. "Do you need to sleep in here with me tonight?" Lucifer asks calmly, not seeming upset or opposed to the idea. Mammon being Mammon gives this response, "I don't need to, I'm brave enough to sleep in my own room." Despite Mammon's words Mammon slips into his older brother's room shutting the door once he's inside.
Lucifer shakes his head with a slight smile, knowing the second born all too well. Lucifer motions for Mammon to go sit on his bed, but before either can move or do anything another knock is heard on Lucifer's bedroom door. The door creaks open and both Lucifer and Mammon watch as orange eyes and purple hair peak through the crack in the door. The third born panics and goes to scurry away when he sees Mammon in Lucifer's room as well. Lucifer manages to call out right after watching the third born's purple hair disappear from the crack in the door, "Leviathan." Lucifer calls out, figuring Levi would stop since he was being serious and said Levi's full name. "You can come in here as well, you don't have to go be scared on your own. Mammon can't make fun of you, that's why he is in here." Lucifer says, Mammon protesting to Lucifer's comment in the background. Lucifer walks to his bedroom door and swings it all the way open, seeing Levi standing on the other side anxiously fidgeting with his fingers. Levi's eyes go wide as Lucifer swings the door open and for a second Lucifer thinks Levi's going to run again, but a loud crash of thunder causes the third born to scurry into Lucifer's room, hopping straight into Lucifer's bed. Lucifer watches as Mammon follows Levi and sits on Lucifer's bed as well, Mammon teasing Levi for being in the room scared even though Mammon's there for that exact reason, though he refused to say as much. Lucifer shakes his head as he watches the two with a slight smile, seeing two of his brothers on his bed already makes him begin to hope his bed magically expands just in case another one of his brothers shows up. As if on queue, a loud strike of thunder is heard and then Lucifer hears someone dramatically scream his name, he knows it's Asmo before the fifth born even has a chance to burst through Lucifer's bedroom door and latch himself to Lucifer. Asmo dramatically scolds Lucifer for not coming to save him when Lucifer should've known Asmo would be scared of the storm. Lucifer rolls his eyes, shimming Asmo into the room and then going to close his door, though he quickly stops when he hears two sets of footsteps approaching his door. Lucifer swings his bedroom door back open to see the twins approaching, Beel is walking in front and Belphie is clinging to Beel's side hiding a little behind Beel.
Lucifer doesn't even have a chance to say anything to the twins before he spots Satan making his way slowly down the hall seemingly headed towards Lucifer's room as well. Satan's carrying a book with him, and Lucifer sighs, knowing his bed won't be able to fit and hold all of them. Once all 6 of his younger brothers are in his room, Lucifer rounds them up telling them- "We're all going to sleep in the Commons room tonight, just in case the storm does anything to the house, we'll all be together to take care of it." Lucifer makes that his reasoning so he doesn't hear any tsundere complaints or arguments from his brothers. Mostly none of his brothers complain and they all soon begin to make their way towards the commons room, everyone's more huddled together and waiting on Lucifer to walk, the storm still raging outside causing them to be fearful. They get to the commons room with mostly no problems, just some bickering and a small amount of pushing and shoving. Eventually the 7 brothers get to the commons room, Lucifer watches as his 6 younger brothers begin to move furniture and make a large makeshift bed on the floor near the fireplace but not to close that anything will catch fire. While his brothers do this, Lucifer goes and makes some tea and gathers up some snacks, since he knows at least Beel is hungry. Lucifer gets back into the commons room just in time for his brothers to have finished making a place for everyone to sleep. Lucifer planned to give his brothers tea and snacks and put on a movie for them, hoping that the movie is louder than the storm, but his plans are ruined when the storm takes the power out. A few screams happen, a dramatic scream from Asmo, a scream from Mammon, and Lucifer can't tell if the other scream came from Belphie or Levi. When the power goes out Lucifer is almost tackled as three of his brothers cling onto him for safety. Lucifer calms everyone down and uses magic to light the fireplace, then he prys himself free of his brothers's grasps so he can light some candles around the room to provide more light. His brothers seem to calm down once there's more light in the room, all the brothers have their snacks and tea, and then slowly but surely everyone finds themselves a place to lay down on the makeshift bed, closer together then you'll ever catch any of the brothers admitting. Everyone's half tired but not completely ready to fall asleep yet, the warmth of the fireplace is enough to make them drowsy, but not enough to make them fall completely asleep. It's unclear which brother suggests it..but someone suggests that Lucifer reads the book that Satan had been carrying. So Lucifer sits there reading to his younger brothers, making his voice loud enough to be heard over the thunder and wind of the storm outside, but soft and soothing enough to put his brothers to sleep. Lucifer watches as each of his brothers fall asleep one by one as he reads out loud to them, he even reads out loud for a little bit after they all fall asleep, just to make sure they stay asleep. Eventually Lucifer grows tired himself, he lets himself lay down, laying in a position where he can still watch over his brothers. Right before he closes his eyes he quietly mutters to his brothers that he won't fail them, that he'll keep them safe and happy, and he will. He'll do whatever it takes to keep them all safe, happy and together. Some people will say he spoils them, and some people will even say he's too mean or controlling, but ultimately he's just doing whatever it takes to make sure he doesn't fail as the eldest again.

AU RAMBLE!
After MONTHS OF NON-CREATIVENESS, I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER AU.
//Please note that I unfortunately have not yet watched Hazbin Hotel as a series and am working with the information I had beforehand, so the lore given may not be accurate and may be edited after//
Ramblings as I lose my braincells:-
So, AU idea.
Lucifer darling has amnesia. That is, forgetting things temporarily or entirely.
Plus, he’s delusional. He hallucinates about things. My guy is so hurt by the past that he mentally shut down to protect himself. And his daughter, Charlie.
All his memories are just pieces of a puzzle that don’t come together. He’s seen it before, HE’S BEEN THERE BEFORE. Then why can’t he remember…? He can’t remember where it happened, why it happened.
With such little information, you can imagine what would happen.
Let’s brainstorm some things up.
SO, Lucifer was one of Heaven’s most beloved angels. He has several other brothers and sisters in Heaven. He fell because he taught humans to ‘sin’. He gave them the apple of knowledge, of free will. He fell because he loved a human; Lilith. Lucifer fell from Heaven because he gave the apple to Eve. That is, Roo; Root of All Evil. He gave the apple to Adam first. He refused so he turned to Eve.  He's eventually left with the guilt of having failed humanity.
Lucifer lost everything. His daughter, his love, his heaven [pun intended].
So, what does he do?
He pushes his family away. While he’s left to his deteriorating mental wellbeing. BY HIMSELF.
So let’s see what can happen if we just make this situation a little…worse.
Rough storyline below cut!
Tumblr media
Charlie calls. He does not pick up. She leaves a voicemail for him explaining that she needs help with heaven. One or two days later, he reluctantly goes to her hotel. Everything plays out, well and good. But he does not agree with her idea. He says that “Heaven never listens. They didn’t listen to me, and they won’t listen to you.” Therefore, further solidifying his grudge against heaven and its ways.  Time skip to Extermination Day. Adam attacks the hotel. Everyone is in grave danger. Skip to Charlie’s point of view. Mentally and emotionally drained, she misses him by a split second and Adam gets the chance to make her lose her breath. Vaggie dies in the rubble, shortly after witnessing Charlie's death with teary vision. Angel, Husk, Niffty, all the demons are held hostage for the exterminator’s sadistic enjoyment. Angels win. Lucifer stays in his office by himself. The extermination was being broadcasted live on TV. Through that, Lucifer gets a head-on view of his dead daughter with the last remnants of her life staining her face in the form of tears.  He loses himself at that sight. He goes down to the battle field and finishes off each of the exterminators he could see. Adam and only a lucky few manage to escape. Unknowingly enough, he (nearly) kills Husk when he’s in his rage.  Angel and Niffty rush inside the hotel with a bleeding Husk in their hands. Trembling, cowering in fear under the reception Desk while Lucifer is outside. Once he calms down enough to feel the weight of the situation, he turns to his beloved daughter, one who he loved dearly and sacrificed everything for, now lying on the ground among the rubble with a tearful expression on her features. He gently picks her up and sobs. Sobs and sobs, wailing and crying as he blamed himself for her unforeseen fate. Angel tries to approach him but is met with a cold order to ‘stay away’. With a gentle stroke over Charlie’s hair, her body disappears, now nowhere to be seen. “Stay away sinner.” Another sentence, another threat. Angel stumbles back, staring at the fallen angel with fear and dread. For the once cheerful and jolly one had turned to an emotionless puppeteer.  He’s going to make Heaven pay for everything now. And he won’t hold onto morality anymore.
So, in conclusion, Angel, Niffty, Cherri, Alastor and Husker are left to take the story further along with Lucifer. Plus Heaven and its angels ofc.
Feedback appreciated!

EDIT: This AU is now officially called 'Plight of the Fallen Angel'

You mentioned how Amity cant really be categorised as a good person.
Do you think the same could be said of Luz? I was rewatching the show and alot of her actions seem selfish but never really get fixed or challenged. I.e. pressuring Willow into forgiving her bully because well, LUZ likes her and wants to live out her redemption fantasy. Or her tendency to lie, or just do whatever she wants even if it upsets or hurts people.
A lot of the general same points about Amity as a good person can be made about Luz. We see little kindness for kindness' sake from her, she doesn't go above and beyond for others very much unless they're VERY close to her, her motives are commonly selfishly motivated, etc. like that. Episode 1 is actually one of the closest to a genuinely selfless act to strangers she does, helped by the fact that freeing the prisoners to help Eda is still essentially to help save a stranger since she barely knows Eda and King at this point. After that those generalities, where I could talk about how Amity was at least MAYBE trying to be better, well...
The specifics get a lot rougher. This is partially due to Luz's archtype of main character. A LOT of S1 is characterized by a formula of Luz wanting something/playing out a fantasy, Luz fucking something up in the pursuit of this and then her having to work to fix it. It's actually pretty standard kid's show fair but without the clearer morals usually included in shows like this, or TOH has redundant morals for that matter. A lot of people will point to her doing things like checking on Amity post Covention as a moment of her being a good person to even an enemy but Luz is at least partially the cause for why she's upset and already messed up so setting that right, or just comforting a crying teenager, is kind of the bare minimum that most human beings will do. I've called this and stuff like Eda not letting a teenage girl die "the bare minimum of being a good person" for a reason. You genuinely have to discard good morality entirely in order to not be affected by death or the consequences of your actions.
Which... Gets into how Luz does get a LOT more questionable as even the bare minimum of a good person once the second half of the show begins. Falls and Follies starts on a normal foot for her where the only reason she reaches out to help an enemy is selfishly motivated as a way to prove her own hypothesis. This is like how in Teenage Abomination, it's really easy to draw a line from "I want to get into the magic school" to "Let me be your abomination to show Amity up... And get into the magic school so don't worry about the rules!" Elsewhere Elsewhen is also explicitly about helping someone for her own gain but... Well, she manages to stumble here. She misses Lilith's party, a theoretically important moment for Lilith, and then demands a favor from her after just an apology. Now yes, she has a reason because she was focused on the portal door stuff but it's a precedent. Luz actively seeming to dodge how others may feel while focusing only on herself as she becomes increasingly selfish, usually made worse with context or framing, and all the show, or fandom, can do is give her a flimsy excuse for why she's justified.
Reaching Out's final big Lumity conversation contrasts with their last talk in Covention PERFECTLY to exemplify this. In Covention, Amity and Luz are both in the wrong. Amity instigated the conflict, Luz escalated it into a fight and then cheated and then Amity was tricked into cheating that same fight. I would probably put more blame on Amity due to her antagonism but both have been wronged here. So when in character, Amity demands Luz say she's not a witch, it feels correct even though it hurts to see her so angry and you want the bully to stop being mean. But Luz, again in character as the better person of the two at the moment, acquiesces and gives Amity what she wants before trying to show her why she should be given a chance. A moment of compassion that is then met with compassion by Amity dispelling the everlasting oath. Both were in the wrong but both, through who they are, set things right and find understanding with one another. It's a beautiful moment and one of TOH's absolute bests, even to this day.
Then you have Reaching Out. Amity has done NOTHING wrong this entire episode. Meanwhile, Luz has gotten bored at watching her girlfriend fight, actively ignored Amity's pain, even when it's pointed out to her, and lied the entire episode for what feels like no reason because she was willing to at least admit that SOMETHING was wrong to Eda and King, made even worse with the context that three episodes ago, she agreed to be more open. Luz is inexcusably in the wrong and her father's death does NOT make up for it.
But... When the two sit down, Luz doesn't apologize. Not immediately. She doesn't do more than ask to sit, acting more nervous than she did while Amity was a bully to her. Then Amity literally lists Luz's crimes of that episode... Before asking towards the root of the problem. Despite having run away due to being so upset, Amity is a fucking saint in just wanting an explanation without getting even an apology first. Then Luz gives the explanation, remembers right at the end to apologize but gives Amity nothing else. No words of encouragement, no acknowledgement that what she did today was wrong... Just an excuse. And yes, Luz says it's not an excuse but do you know what you do when you don't want to claim something as an excuse? YOU APOLOGIZE FIRST AND DON'T PUT THE EXCUSE FIRST. Instead, her entire confession is just her justifying why she's been so selfish that episode. It's also an explanation, sure, but she also uses it as her motivation and reason for eactions. Why she did all of this. Shunts everything she did onto this one event going on, a very emotionally manipulative event that will make most people uncomfortable when brought up like this, and then... Amity gets up, vows to make things right for Luz and then heads off.
It's shit like this that makes Luz not a neutral person or just a nice person to their friends but a straight up ASSHOLE. Hollow Mind has her FINALLY getting upset about Belos... When his policies mean she can't get her magic cloak fixed. She at first refuses to go save her girlfriend from being under house arrest because she's too focused on her guilt about Belos and Eda and so would rather literally do NOTHING than go save Amity. And then of course the big one:
In S1, she CONSTANTLY made up for the mistakes she made. She fucked up with her own choices time and time again. One of her few truly redeeming, completely positive traits was this willingness to accept she'd fucked up and set things right. But now that her choices, selfish choices, has potentially destroyed an entire WORLD... She'll do nothing. Absolutely. Fucking. Nothing.
The show frames it as self martyrdom. She frames it as learning from her mistake. But if that were true, she might actually have tried to change her behavior. To not still be focusing entirely on herself. To bring up how she is fucking over her friends and found family. Even acknowledge the collateral that comes with this choice or that she needs someone else to make the choices because she no longer can have faith in herself to do so. Instead, it comes across as her realizing this will be hard this time and just going "Fuck this."
It doesn't make Luz evil but it means that you cannot call her a good person. Especially since, you know, she has still been caught lying TWICE to Amity and seen the pain that lying to her girlfriend causes her and STILL WON'T TELL HER THE TRUTH! Tell Eda and King though? She does that literally at the start of Edge of the World, despite already supposedly hating herself for all of this.
It's bad. There's no two ways around how Luz behaves. You can try to excuse it. Say she's depressed and traumatized. That she can't deal with it. I did an entire teaching blog on fantasy trauma because of those excuses and how profoundly stupid they are if you actually know fantasy. Also, she didn't have to react like this. Anne was still a good person but clearly, at least if you're looking for trauma responses instead of thinking the only response is to cry and throw yourself a pity party, shows severe signs of not being able to handle what just happened during True Colors. She literally can't talk about everything because it overwhelms her. However, instead of deciding, "Fuck the Plantars, Marcy, Sasha, AMPHIBIA," her response is to work herself to DEATH to fix it. And this is despite the fact that her own trust and choices on who to trust, Andrias, Sasha and Marcy all included in this, directly helped lead to potentially a friend's death, three different betrayals and who knows what to Amphibia at that time.
TOH, time and time again, could have chosen to have Luz act in a way that still portrayed her as even trying to be a good person but always chooses not to, instead using excuses for it instead of her actual actions. She could have been OVERLY worried about Amity and thus make her line about "I don't want my problems distracting her," feel a lot more honest and she still fucks things up but out of care instead of selfishness. She could have come to Eda, conflicted and asking permission to go help her girlfriend because she feels like she'll do nothing here but that Amity is safe like this, while they're not, so if they need her, she'll let Amity know and stay here. Eda says she's not needed and you still get her caring about the stakes of the Isles while not making it look like she'd rather have the CHANCE to do something than actually pursue helping her girlfriend. And for staying home? Have her talk to... Probably Hunter as the best option since he already knows everything and this is most in character for him. She admits her fears, instead of through a bullshit, autoplay video diary, and Hunter, worried about the consequences of his own actions and how his own drive hurt so many people while as the Golden Guard, says maybe she should just stop. They'll be okay without her but yeah, you do meddle with things and you've practically destroyed the Isles. Maybe it'd just be better if you tried living a quiet, normal life. She still gets her angst, Camila could overhear and wrestle with what she wants her daughter to do until committing at the end of the episode by going into the portal but you don't have Luz just callously throwing everyone's lives away when supposedly she is uncertain about her ability to make the right choices. Admittedly, this still means keeping the secret from Amity but like... If she did tell Amity, she'd be told not to blame herself, that they need her and get the clear conscience she needed to actually go fix things. You know, the same reason she can't fucking talk to any friends during the episodes because the writers backed themselves into a corner.
But each time, TOH goes with easiest, dumbest, WEIRDEST choices when it comes to how to frame Luz in the second half of the series, to the point where if her angst arc is our mental health representation, I'd rather wait another five years thank you very much! I already have to deal with a brother who excuses his abuse and selfishness with his mental health issues. I don't need fictional characters doing it too, let alone their fandoms. Because as always: Trauma and Mental Illness are not excuses to be ASSHOLES.
And I'm flatly sorry but in the second half of the series, after Vee calls her out on it, Luz is just a selfish asshole and it's hard to say otherwise.

We Meet At Last
MC
I have no idea where exactly I got teleported to, only that I appear to be standing in a field at the edge of a forest. My captor steps away from me, sliding the dagger that was in my hand mere seconds ago into a barely-visible sheath.
"What in the world were you thinking?" I recognize that voice. "Honestly, MC, why do you feel the need to sacrifice yourself at every opportunity?"
"It's not like I had any other choice!" I yell. "I wasn't about to kill any of those men! Their lives are much more important than mine."
"That isn't true!" Thirteen runs a hand through her hair and sighs. "I saw the way they looked at you, MC. They were completely under your control."
"But I didn't even do anything to them!"
"Not overtly, no. But there is something about you that has captivated them in a way that no other human--or being, for that matter--has ever managed to achieve. It may be your power, sure, but it could be simply that you're you." Thirteen pauses as she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a simple black band ring. "There's only one other person that's had that effect on others, and they wore this very ring. If I am right, you are their successor."
"You're not talking about Lilith, are you?" Thirteen shakes their head.
"No, not her." She reaches down and grabs my hand. "Someone you know rather intimately."
Before I can reply, she slips the ring on my finger, and I immediately find myself surrounded by white light.
"Hello there, MC," a disembodied voice greets. "At long last, I finally get to see you, although I wish it could be under better circumstances."
"Who are you?" I ask.
"My name is Michael." Oh shit. It's the Michael. The one that the brothers are terrified of.
The one that Simeon showed my list of dates to.
"You're not here to punish me, are you?" Michael chuckles.
"That depends."
"On what?"
"On your answer to this question: what motivates you?" His inquiry catches me off guard at first. Why would he ask something straight out of a high school career assessment?
But it's not that simple, is it?
He wants to know my intentions. He wonders if he can trust me.
And suddenly everything in my mind is replaced by one simple word.
"Love."
"Love," Michael repeats. "All this time, you've made decisions based on love?"
"Yes. As long as the people I care about are safe and sound, I don't care what happens to me. I have to--"
"--protect them." His voice sounds softer, almost like he's smiling. "Very well. The ring is yours. I pray for your happiness and well-being, MC."
The white light disappears, leaving me stunned. What just happened?
"Take the ring off." Right. I'm with Thirteen.
"What?"
"Just do it." I try to remove the ring from my finger, but it appears stuck. No matter how much force I use, it's not budging. It's not like my finger's swollen. No, it's something else.
Did the ring fuse itself into my skin?
"Good." Thirteen smiles. "I was right."
"I swear, if you don't explain what's going on--" I get interrupted by Thirteen placing a finger on my lips.
"Relax, MC. I was just getting ready to." My silence satisfies her, and she removes her finger. "What you are wearing is referred to as the Ring of Light. Its sister is the Ring of Wisdom. Michael once wore the Ring of Wisdom, but he passed it down to Solomon a long time ago."
"Who wore the Ring of Light?" Her smile grows wider.
"Why, Lucifer, of course." I have so many questions. Unfortunately, Thirteen starts walking away from me before I have the chance to ask any of them.
"Where are you going?" I shout. She stops and turns around to face me.
"Well, we can't exactly teleport back, or you'd end up passing out. The human body needs time to recover." She beckons me to follow her, and we walk to the other side of the field, where an empty road awaits us.
"Please tell me we're not making this journey on foot," I tell Thirteen, who laughs.
"Of course not, MC. Don't be silly." She unclips a keychain from a belt loop and hits a button attached to it. Instantly, a motorcycle materializes in front of us, seemingly out of thin air. A helmet rests on the seat. Thirteen grabs this helmet and sticks it on before mounting the motorcycle.
"There's a spare in the trunk," she informs me. Too stunned to argue, I soon find myself seated behind Thirteen, my hands rested on both sides of her waist.
"Hold on tight, MC. I like to go fast."

The Fall
Tumblr media
All I hear are screams, every time I dare to close my eyes
I no longer dream, only nightmares of those who've died...
Lucifer's curiosity had always been his strongest point...it was something I had always loved about him. His eagerness to learn, to understand, to grow...I encouraged it in him the best I could...though after what happened to Amitiel, I could not help but advise caution. And perhaps in some way that came across as nagging or otherwise infantalizing him...or perhaps it was something akin to Pandora's box...the more I advised against spending time with the humans, the more he did it.
My warnings were for naught, for he paid them no heed...
And then he fell in love with one, no, two of them...Eve and Lilith, and, appropriate for this garden paradise, his union with the second wife of Adam would bear fruit...and so would his marriage to Lilith. I would not find out about my niece till many, many years later...thousands, actually. I have no doubt it was in an effort to protect her from me...I would never have harmed her, but having been a father myself, I do understand his concerns.
But gods...please Eros, next time hit us both
And then there was the deal with the apple...the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. My personal thoughts are that surely it wasn't so bad to allow the humans to be able to read the fine print...to understand the terms and conditions of our Father's 'love' more like obsession for them.
Apparently the price of such a thing was much worse than I could have ever imagined. I expected a slap on the wrist, a reprimand; after all, Lucifer was our Father's favored son. Surely that would be all that He deemed necessary.
Tumblr media
He asked me to kill him...looked me dead in the eyes and told me to smite the one I love, my other half, my Little Light...Lucifer. The mere concept was deplorable, horrifying...there...there we no words for what I felt in that moment. A grief that passes all understanding, all encompassing, all consuming... He may as well have asked me to tear out my own heart.
I pleaded with our Father, pleaded for leniency, begged Him on hands and knees. I would later be flogged for this act of defiance.
And for all my pleading and begging my answer was thus: He was to be exiled, cast into the darkness that Father had created, and moreover, that it would fall to me to send him there. To take a pair of his wings from him and cast him out. It was this or his death....
we all know what I chose...
Tumblr media
The trial for my brother had been little more than a farce...Father already knew what verdict He would be handing out. And I...I knew my role in it. I contented myself in he knowledge that he would live...in his eyes I was the monster...he never saw the tears in my eyes as I cut that pair of wings from his back...he only saw the steely expression on my face, the one that I wore as a mask. I wanted...needed...him to hate me. I watched the love in those beautiful eyes warp into fear and hatred...heard him proclaim that should the chance ever arise, he would kill me himself.... I could not help but be relieved by that statement. For I was a monster...
And people slay monsters, do they not?
Tumblr media
I don't know how long I watched him fall...till he was out of sight...till my heart could bear it no longer. I sobbed, crying out to a God that would not listen, I cried until my throat bled and I lost consciousness, my wings folding in on themselves. In the haze of anguish I cared little for the ground that was rapidly approaching and I honestly welcomed it...
Gabriel was the only reason I didn't slam myself into the earth that day...and after all this time, he's one of the few things in my life that has stayed constant...him and Lucifer.
We lost so many that day....some who left with Lucifer...and others we'll never get back...
And for what?
For our Father's sick sense of Justice...
I know Justice...its what I was made to uphold. And yet, I look around me, and I do not see any. This can stand no longer.

Excuse me, I read my ask in your archive and I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I meant Mammon lived with his child and raised them, he was the one who told his child he only has only dead sister and the brothers were the one who asked about Mammon. Mammon ran away from home and the brothers just find out Mammon didn't wan't want them to be a part of his new life. I'm sorry

Summary: The exchange student gets to talking about their family.
A/N: oops! Now that I reread the request, yeah that makes more sense. I don’t know why my brian read it the way it did. I assume because I often work on requests really late at night and I must have been tired that day.

Of course Mammon ran away. His brothers didn't respect him. No demons took him seriously. He was the second born, yet everyone treated him like he wasn't even family. So, yeah, he decided to get out while the getting was good. It wasn't like anyone noticed. Being absent for a few years isn't that big of a deal for beings that live longer than even the stars. By the time his absence finally started to concern the other brothers, all traces of him had vanished and they didn't know where to look. He was gone.
Many years later, Diavolo started the exchange program and invited a human to the Devildom. It was a very rocky start to say the least. They had to win over the demon brothers entirely on their own; a difficult job but made slightly easier with Belphegor's manipulative help.
It was actually a casual conversation at dinner one day (after the weird time shenanigans) that started to tip them off. It was the first time everyone had really sat down together to get to know one another in earnest.
At that point, the exchange student had of course learned about Lilith. They knew about the fall. They had gotten through Belphie's more homicidal tendencies. Lucifer had even made a pact with them. All that was left was to finish out the exchange year.
"You know," they laughed, "I'm glad I came here. My friends are never going to believe this."
"Aren't we your friends?" Beel asked with confusion.
"I meant my friends back home. Besides, I think you guys are more like family after that mess. Speaking of, my folks are going to flip when I tell them." They picked up their demonus and gunned the entire glass; it was practically juice to them, unfortunately. "I am not looking forward to the lecture Dad is going to give me. He was already upset I decided to do this in the first place."
"I don't believe you've ever spoken of your family before," Lucifer said with interest.
"Yeah, well, it's not like it really ever came up." They shrugged.
"On a scale of one to Lucifer, how strict is he?" Belphie laughed even as Lucifer glared at him.
"Pffft, not at all. Mom is the strict one. Dad likes to dance and play cards. That's why it's scary when he's the one giving the lecture. Actually, he's usually the one getting lectured. He's got a bad gambling habit and Mom has never tolerated it." That's why they kept separate finances. Even so, he always found a way to spoil them and their mom rotten. If they didn't know better they'd think their dad was in the Mafia.
"Sounds lame," Leviathan complained, but there was a twinge of sadness in his voice; as if he was recalling a distant memory.
"Hey! Don't make fun of my dad. He could kick your butt."
"We're demons," Belphie reminded them.
"And my dad is the strongest person I know."
"You know us."
"I know what I said."
"Your dad sounds," Satan hesitated, "interesting."
Beel grumbled, "He sounds familiar."
Beel wasn't the only one to think their dad sounded very similar to someone else they knew. It was strange how many traits aligned with their lost brother.
"Do you have a photo of your parents by chance?" Lucifer finally asked, hoping he and his brothers were just imagining things.
They did. They had a few, in fact. It was important to them that they kept family photos close since their actual parents couldn't be there with them.
When they pulled out the collection of photos and displayed them on the table, the brothers couldn't believe their eyes. That was definitely Mammon. He didn't look any different than the day he left, except he looked happy. There was a photo of him holding them on his shoulders when they were much younger, one where they were in a matching outfit to their parents, and a much older one where it was him actually reading a book. It was like Mammon was living an entirely different life.
"Isn't he the coolest?" They loved their dad.
No one knew what to say. It'd been so long since they'd seen him, and their first clue about him was coming from his child; their nibling.
The only one who could think to say anything was Lucifer. "Your family looks happy."
"Well, yeah. Mom and Dad always did their best for me."
"By chance do you have any other family?" He had to know what Mammon had said about them.
"Hmm… I don't have any siblings."
"What about other family?"
"Uhh… I have an uncle on Mom's side and two cousins. They're both way younger than me though so we never really hung out."
"...and Ma- may I ask about your father?"
"Oh, umm," they paused to consider their words carefully. "I guess there's Aunt El? Dad said her grave was far away though, so we never visited. He said grandpa was a jerk though."
"Is that all?"
"Dad… always said Mom and I were the only family he had left."
Of course they were. Mammon never regretted falling with his brothers, but he regretted sticking around for as long as he did. They never respected him. they never saw him as anything more than a failure. Leaving was all he could do. He wasn't sure how, but he found a more loving family with humans that didn't even know who he was. Somehow, they thought the world of him. He didn't need to go back. He didn't need to drag his new family into his old one.
And his kid didn't need to know they were walking straight into the lion's den with all their uncles.

Why the Owl House isn’t going to end like Amphibia did.
I’ve seen people make a couple arguments for why Owl House won’t have the same ending as Amphibia, but never something really in depth. And because I love writing essays that go way too in depth, I thought I’d lay out my arguments for why Owl House won’t end like Amphibia.
Obviously full spoilers for all 3 seasons of Amphibia, and the first 2 seasons of The Owl House.
I wanna preface this by saying that Amphibia’s ending isn’t bad. Anne, Sasha and Marcy leaving Amphibia behind to go back to the human world is a sad, but satisfying ending, and it worked very well. But just because an ending works for one show, doesn’t mean that it will work for every show, and Amphibia’s ending would never work for Owl House, for multiple reasons.
The lessons for the protagonists
On the surface, Luz and Anne are pretty similar protagonists. They’re both bubbly, excitable teenage girls who end up in fantasy worlds, get taken in by the locals, and fight the Evil Oppressive Government. However, there’s a pretty big difference between the lessons they’re supposed to take away from their stories, their relationships with the worlds they got isekai’d into, and their relationships with Earth.
Anne’s journey is about learning to make your own decisions. Before being zapped to Amphibia, she basically floated through life taking the path of least resistance, constantly pushed around and manipulated by Sasha and refusing to actually apply herself in school. During her time with the Plantars, fighting against the toads and later Andrias, she learns how to stand up for herself and actually fight for the future she wants to see. She sacrifices her life for her friends and their world, and refuses godhood in order for a chance to grow up and live out her life to the fullest.
Luz’s journey, meanwhile, is about finding your place in a world that’s not made for you. In the human realm, she never had any friends and got in constant trouble at school because of her “weirdness” (aka neurodivergence), while in the demon realm, she’s a human who can’t cast magic by herself and lives with a known criminal. She finds her own way of doing magic through the use of glyphs, and teaches glyph magic to Eda and Lilith once they lose access to their innate magic. She explicitly stayed with Eda and King because they’re all societal outcasts, and they need to find community in eachother, a sentiment that’s repeated throughout the show.
While Anne’s character arc would logically end with her growing up and figuring out who she wants to be, Luz’s character arc would logically end with finding the people who accept her for who she is. Luz’s arc is specifically allegorical for neurodivergence, in that she’s both canonically ND which impacts her ability to function in the human realm and interact with those around her, and allegorically ND/disabled, in that she can’t do magic like everyone around her can and needs to figure out her own way of doing things. Sending her back to the human realm without her friends and girlfriend after she’s shown to blossom completely in the demon realm would just be cruel.
Which brings me to my second point.
The protagonists’ relationships with the fantasy world
Anne… does not like Amphibia.
It’s not that she shies away from everything, and she does adapt to certain things over time, but overall, she’s just out of her element in Amphibia. She loves the people, especially the Plantars, but the world itself is so hostile to her that she’d never be able to thrive in it. When reminded of Earth, like when Sasha serves her pizza and lets her have a shower, she’s delighted, and she tries to constantly do things the way they did back where she’s from.
In the end, Anne would always go back to Earth, because she just doesn’t belong in Amphibia, it’s not a world she could ever feel at home in. Same with the Plantars, while they like Earth fine enough, they still miss Wartwood, and because they look so out of place they could never truly build a future there. The best ending for all of them is for Anne, Sasha and Marcy to return to Earth, and for everyone else to stay in Amphibia.
Luz, on the other hand, LOVES the Boiling Isles.
Throughout the entirety of the first season, she stayed on the Isles by choice. She HAD a way home, she just… chose not to use it, because she doesn’t fit in in the human realm. The Boiling Isles is where she learns to make friends, it’s where she learns to do magic, and ironically enough, it’s also where she learns to stop trying to live out a fantasy and see what the real world is like. After her way back to Earth got destroyed, the only reason she ever gave for wanting to go back is that she missed her mom, because Camila is the only (living) person on Earth that she’s ever had a meaningful connection with.
Luz undoubtedly belongs on the Boiling Isles. It’s a world where her weirdness isn’t punished or suppressed, but celebrated. It’s a world where she’s made friends, she’s found a family, and she’s fallen in love. In fact, the idea that she doesn’t belong there because she’s human is a belief directly stated by the villain, and one Luz directly refutes (“We don’t belong here” “I’m not like you”). Making her go back to Earth permanently would just be proving Belos right.
The Owl House is explicitly about finding family in the people that will accept you, with queer, neurodivergence and disability metaphors running throughout. The idea that families aren’t determined by blood is a cornerstone of the whole series, from King’s arc of finding his birth family while also wanting to be formally adopted by Eda, to Amity and Hunter distancing themselves from their abusive caregivers, to even Caleb leaving his brother behind to start a family on the Boiling Isles. Forcing Luz to return to Earth without the others just because Camila lives there is completely antithetical to the message of the show.
So how will The Owl House end?
Honestly, I have no idea. I doubt it’s going to be a fully 100% happy ending, because this show doesn’t tend to do that, but I also don’t think that Luz will have to go back to the human realm.
The most optimistic ending would be having a functional portal between the realms open at all times, and Luz being co-parented by Eda and Camila. Hell, with the portal being a normal-sized door, you could even partially merge Camila’s house with the Owl House. Luz could keep going to Hexside full time, Vee wouldn’t have to drop out of school or forge a new identity, and both Eda and Camila could be part of Luz’s family. The Boiling Isles would be in absolute disarray for a while, both because of the Collector and because of the complete collapse of the governing body, so the human realm could even be a safe haven for those fleeing the chaos.
Travel between realms becoming impossible and Luz having to choose between Earth and the Boiling Isles could be an ending, but it’s not as likely, mostly because the method of travel between the realms isn’t tied to one specific object, like the Calamity Box. Theoretically, one could build a new portal, Luz almost managed it, she just needs a bit more time and resources.
Either way, I doubt the show will end with Luz in the human realm on her own. It’s a message antithetical to the one the show has been putting out this whole time, and as well as it worked for Amphibia, it would not work for Owl House.

"Do you even know what this means?”
Prompt number: 4 Fanfiction Fandom: Diablo IV Rating: PG Characters: Lorath Nahr, The Wanderer (female Sorceress), Neyrelle, Donan Warnings: non apply
"Do you even know what this means?” His eyes are feverish and his skin flushed. We’ve spent the last hours in almost complete silence. So quiet that both Donan and Neyrelle left to do something more interesting than studying scripts that they’ve read over and over again without finding anything worthwhile. I can’t blame them. Puzzling over the same words, for days at a time will not save a single soul, but Lorath is sure that he’ll find a key in there. I stumbled upon the journals of a scholar that lived during the sin war. Back when demons and angels fought for the souls of us mortals. Have they ever stopped? We seem to be trapped in this endless cycle of being nothing more than pawns to someone bigger and stronger.
I look up from my script, blots of ink covering the tips of my fingers, and find Lorath looking at me.
“That we might stand a chance after all.” I answer, knowing that it is the one he is looking for.
He offers me one of his rare smiles and my stomach flutters. “Yes… yes. Exactly that.”
Lorath is more alive, more himself, now that he has a goal and allies that help him fight against Lilith’s influence. No more nights drinking his sorrows away and waking up in his own bile, but helping Neyrelle understand the teaching of the Horadrim and sharing old stories with Donan. It touches me to see him like this, but I can’t ignore the darkness that still hides in his eyes.
A broken man is not easily mended, but we are all doing our best.
My back cracks while I stand up and start to stretch my hurting limbs. I put my hands on my hips and move around a  little. “We should take a break. I feel as if I haven’t seen the sun in a few days.”
“To be fair, we haven’t.” Time doesn’t seem to matter in this vault and there are always more books to read before I go outside and fight against the forces of Lilith. It’s nice to not smell of blood and gore or to stand in the ruins of human settlements for once.
“Let’s find some food and maybe catch a ray of sunshine then.” And we do follow our plan. I grab some items from the kitchens while Lorath finds our companions. Thankfully it’s not raining, but there is a chill to the air, which makes me wrap my cloak tighter around myself. There is tea that warms me from the inside and Lorath is close enough to feel his knee brushing against mine.
I try not to think too much about us being close and instead focus on the bread and dried meats. There is cheese to go with it and some fruits that Donan brought from his home.
“Surprised you didn’t end up as a pile of ash.” Neyrelle points towards the sky and a very bright sun that is stinging in my eyes.
“Hey now, I’ve been known to be outside at times. It’s not all about caves and grimy dungeons.”
“Sometimes it is about old, dusty Horadrim vaults as well,” Lorath adds and has the nerve to chuckle.
I’m so very tempted to poke out my tongue, but settle for a more relaxed raised eyebrow. “Better company there.”
“Debatable.” I look towards Donan, who is calmly cutting some cheese and is not even looking up.
His single word makes all of us erupt in laughter and for a few seconds I know that we’ll survive all of this.

I like the repeated hints that as much as Luz is loving the chance to live out her dreams of a magical adventure, after her reality check about her new living situation, she’s started to look upon her time in the BI as a second chance at life back on earth that she feels she screwed up somehow, a chance to make new friends that won’t be repulsed by her weirdness or possibly even bully her. There wasn’t much showing of how Luz was socially amongst her fellow peers, but she does showcase a heartfelt vulnerability in her concerns that she’s got another chance to ‘do it right’ and worry that she’s inherently going to mess it up because of the same natural weirdness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Yeah! I don't have much to add, but it's very interesting to observe. While Luz is getting everything she ever wanted in the Boiling Isles, ever since that reality check she got in Episode 2, it's come with an underlying concern that there are limits to how well things can go for her. This world may be magical, but there are mundane elements to it that are just as painful as the mundanity of the human world, and she's well aware of that.
2. You know... I believe every single word of this. Eda has been an agent of chaos since day 1, and Lilith has definitely been in the business of covering for her sister's troublemaking for a very long time.
3. A fair point. At least Luz can tell which advice not to take!
4. You're right... what's extra funny about this is that I remember when I was liveblogging that part of the episode, I actually found it really amusing that Amity had zero observable reaction to inadvertently slapping Luz in the face with goop...
Tumblr media
...and now I'm realising that not commenting on it at the time was a huge missed opportunity.
5. Ooh, that is possible! Food crossing over between worlds could also serve as an explanation for why the Boiling Isles has regular human sandwiches, too.
6. Yeah, that's pretty neat! And seeing as Hexside is implied to be fairly close to the Owl House, which is right on the edge of the island, and it's quite far away from Glandus, which is apparently in the "middle" of the island, I'd venture to guess that Hexside is on the titan's side, too!

OUAT Thoughts Pt.43--Episodes The Last Two of Season 4
According to Wikipedia, there are only 22 episodes in season 4, but my reviews add up to 23. I have no clue how that happened; I have looked back at my recent posts and have still been unable to figure it out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lucky for me, the counter resets when I start season 5 tomorrow. For now, I have watched through all of S4; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.
—‘Someone whose eyes you were born to gaze into’…that is possibly one of the most romantic things I have ever heard.
—Nothing like an alternate reality to prove that bandit meet-cutes are the best way to find true love :)
—*confused yelp* Evil Snow White is gorgeous? That spiky hairstyle has Elsa concept art vibes, btw, and it looks so cute on Ginnifer Goodwin. And that Evil Queen clothes? Oh, the red, and the black, and the sparkles! She’s so pretty!
—Mmmkay, so the Author is a bad writer. That entire thing was well-written in context of the show, but in context of him, it was just so not creative. He looks at all of these heroes and villains, and when he decides to flip their happy ending status, he also has to switch their hero and villain roles? Come on!
—I kinda wish he wasn’t A) so bad at writing and B) such an asshat, because when he’s talking about writing and stories and characters, most of the time he speaks to my heart. The big problem is that he doesn’t see characters for what they really are: living entities who are the author’s to record and to guide, but not to control. And yes, this is way too deep into my personal writing philosophy, but why not? The gist is, he had some good points, and the way he sees people as their stories is chillingly close to how I tend to think about people, but overall as a person and as a writer he sucks. There was a reason all his manuscripts got rejected.
—The Sorcerer is Merlin?!!! COME ON! I’ve been jonesing for some Yen Sid, who BY THE WAY is the Sorcerer, and I get Merlin instead? Good golly!
—I had to watch Regina and Rumple almost die and Captain Hook actually-but-not-really die in the span of two episodes. I need Dr. Hopper.
—I love that when Henry and Hook rescued Emma, she knew she loved Hook, and Hook was just instantly enthralled with her.
—Emma’s prison dress was pretty, but Yen Sid alive did I like her other outfit. She looks good in Enchanted Forest chic.
—So it’s not how I predicted it happening, but Emma has indeed become the Dark One. I adore her for protecting Regina’s happy ending so ferociously.
—They better snatch that knife quick. I don’t think anybody wants to see free range Evil Emma.
—So the next Big Bad is primordial, capital D Darkness? I mean, now that it’s in a human host, it’s not quite as existential and intimidating, but it’s more than passable.
—I really need Rumple to not die now. Without the darkness, Belle might give him a second chance, and he might actually be able to accept love. Also, whether or not he gets back with her, I just don’t want him to die.
—His ideal life was sad. I mean, the concept wasn’t, but in context very much so. If he gets to have a second kid by the end of the show, I will be happy.
—Maybe Merlin is Lilith’s dad. I’m having trouble coming up with dragon men.
—The Apprentice is possibly the least helpful guy alive. His advice is ‘yeah, the Sorcerer is out there.’ Like, bro, you couldn’t give us a general idea of what world he’s in? And he keeps telling people things he shouldn’t.
—Props to Henry for not wanting to have the Author power. I’m thrilled that he got the mantle, by the way.
—Another reference to Walt Disney being an Author. Cool. Although it’s a reference to his death, so…kinda sad.
—Freaked out about halfway through the episode and got worried we would be stuck in the alternate reality forever, but fortunately we weren’t. I’m not sure I could’ve kept watching.
—Rumple in a knight’s outfit is iconic. That buttery golden cape was stunning. And Belle’s dress in that reality was pretty too.
—It’s interesting that his heart is white now. We haven’t seen that yet, so I’m pretty worried about the implications it might have.
—What is he gonna do without magic? He hasn’t not had magic for centuries. I look forward to the angst, but at the same time I don’t. Rumple is never going to be happy.
Happy International Pronouns Day, y’all!

What Motivates Us
This is a topic that’s been mulling over in my head just lately. It does get a little dark for me. As you could say that Grimfel is my love-letter to the values that I hold dearly.
The backstory is that the world of Grimfel was once a realm of hell in which souls were sent to be tortured. Reserved only for the cruellest of humanity. The gods empowered by the most souls would then claim their right to sit upon the throne of the bleak grim world. A seemingly never-ending pointless endeavour of powerful beings bickering amongst themselves. Until the Sempiternals arrived and sought to make it right. To give those that have been tortured a better future. To give them a second chance at life. They reconnected the realm back to the tree of life and breathed life into the world again. Unshackled the tortured souls and brought them back to life. And for what? Only for the souls to make the world into their own version of hell. To destroy it again?
One may draw comparisons with Niflheim and one would be absolutely right. I sought inspiration from the Norse mythology regarding the coldest, cruellest version of hell. But its actually our world that inspired the bleak dark bitter realm.
Though I drew from mythology, most of the themes rely on my real world experiences. I admittedly went through some of the darkest moments where I had lost all of hope in humanity. I believed the world had truly lost its way. A sort of evil that lurked and stepped on all of those values that mean everything to me. Loyalty. Respect. Empathy. Kindness. There is so much cruelty in the world that you can see its almost by design.
People motivated by narcissism and solipsism. People who go back on their word. Who lie. Who steal and cheat. There’s plenty of those and I could never understood what motivated them. What drove them to treat others with such disgust, evil and judgement. For what? Just to feel some sense of superiority?
And then there’s the beauty in the world. Like my lovely little beagle-mix dog called Lilith. I’ve had her for 11 years.
Tumblr media
In those 11 years she’s had to go through two-bouts of cancer. The first time we were successful and had it removed. The second time is now and she’s going through a hell of a lot of pain right now. My writing draws upon those dark themes. Why does the beauty in this world have to suffer? Is it by design? Do we live in a world of hell?
What makes matters worse is you get to see who is there for you in those moments. You get to see how people act. And we’ve had to deal with a whole lot of unempathetic vets that just want to bleed our money dry. Who keep failing my dog when I have to point out lumps and bumps that are clearly visible and that they seem to miss or just blatantly dismiss.
How does it motivate me? Well despite all of the darkness, I still hold hope. I still won’t give up on her. And that draws comparisons to the themes in Grimfel. That in the face of a bitter dark world full of cruel souls, empathy and kindness must stand firmly against it unwavered. And from that we draw hope for a better world. A better future.
That’s what motivates me. The dark side and the beauty of our own world. That’s what inspires Grimfel.

Lore Post 3: The Demon Subspecies
First some backstory, the demon subspecies that are present in Stargone are actually the second wave of demons. The first wave (that was ruled over by none other than Lucifer and Lilith, it also included the ars goetia) was getting a bit tired of staying in the same realm and were all getting a bit restless.
This caused a war to break out which ended with the gods wiping all of them out except for Lucifer, Lilith, Satan and his just born son Haborym. Lucifer and Lilith were locked up in a hidden part of The Upper Plane by Nerezza since she considered them both to be too dangerous and she didn’t want to risk another Demon War. She left Satan (or as he’s mostly called, Anthony) and Haborym to toil in their now empty realm.
Kaliope, Golnar, Ronin and Gelarosa took pity on the two and they all decided to help out with bringing back the demon race…even if it was completely different than before.
Over the years Anthony visited The Middle Plane and came across 6 siblings who all just happened to be magic users, he tasked them to help grow his empire, since Anthony was a pretty chill guy, they all agreed to help him out.
This lead to the creation of 6 new demon subspecies, truly rebuilding The Lower Plane back from the ground up. Every subspecies has their own realm, think of it like a video game where you can just access different areas. Just be careful you don’t fall though, you don’t want to end up in Proclivi.
Here are the 10 demon subspecies
Necromancy’s - Created by both Anthony and Amethyst Saunders, Necromancy’s are demons that are all about death. They’re also considered the most refined out of all the subspecies. All of them have completely white eyes and are all quite sickly looking.
Teleka’s - Created by both Anthony and Fluorite Saunders, Teleka’s are demons that are telekinetic…who would’ve thought. All of them have a slight purple tone to their skin and are considered very resourceful and not to be messed with, this is also the subspecies that Haborym turns Synther into.
Pyromanial’s - Created by Golnar Hreghen, Pyromanial’s are kind of what you expect when you hear the word “demon”. Aggressive, threatening and all about fire. They’re all kind of concerned about a war breaking out again so they’re always preparing, even if there’s a slim chance of it happening again. Their skin also looks like it’s cracking constantly, but other than that they’re some of the most human looking subspecies. This is also the subspecies that Skyla got turned into and Percy himself is actually part Pyromanial.
Naturacal’s - Created by Gelarosa Naturae, Naturacal’s were all once pretty chill…that was until a Pyromanial ended up losing their temper in their realm, which basically reduced the whole place to ash. After the entire species had a collective mental breakdown, they managed to grow their home back…but they all became incredibly territorial after the incident. They also have greenish tints to their skin
Thundelle’s - Created by Ronin Tonitrua, Thundelle’s are demons that can control lightning. They are arguably the smartest subspecies as well, their realm has a giant library inside of it so that probably explains it. They all have a dark blue tint to their skin and their eyes light up whenever they use their powers.
Aqualian’s - Created by Kaliope Caeruleum, Aqualian’s are easily the friendliest of the god created subspecies. They’re always going with the flow and living their best lives, their skin has a pastel blue tint and they have hidden gills so they can breathe in their realm without problems. Melodie herself is an Aqualian, making her the only natural full blooded demon out of the entire group.
Lunarius’ - Created by both Anthony and Sugillite Saunders, Lunarius’ are all about the dark side. They’re all pretty edgy as well, Sugillite was one of the worlds first goths so that probably explains it. All of them look like physical silhouettes with clothes, it’s pretty funny to look at them up close. They can travel pretty easily through the shadows of others and are considered the sneakiest of all the subspecies.
Euphora’s - Created by both Anthony and Baryte Saunders, Euphora’s are about the light side of life. They mostly keep to themselves in their own realm because they’re so damn BRIGHT. It doesn’t help that most of them are mute as well, they’re the most peaceful of all the subspecies, always keeping to themselves and enjoying each other’s company. They all look like white silhouettes with clothes, good luck trying to see them up close, because it might be the last thing you’ll EVER see.
Yukalen’s - Created by both Anthony and Marble Saunders, Yukalen’s are all about snow and ice. Most of them aren’t the social type and are very shy when it comes to other subspecies, they’d much prefer making sculptures to improve the look of their environment then do anything else. Their skin is a pale white tint with slight bit of blue.
Melodias’ - Created by both Anthony and Bronzite Saunders, Melodias’ were supposed to demons that controlled time, the perfect act of spite against Nerezza. But since Bronzite was a bard in his spare time, he thought Anthony meant time signatures, so through this huge misunderstanding, the first Melodias was created. Anthony considered them to be useless, but when more of them began popping up, he let them vibe in their own realm…even if it didn’t have anything to make homes out of. They’re all about music, they’ve also managed to visit The Middle Plane and get away with it because they’re the most human looking out of all the subspecies (minus the tail, wings, teeth and ears of course). Crimson Blossom, another character made by @velveteensugarcoat, was turned into one thanks to a failed experiment by Haborym. She also becomes a part of the main cast later on so that’s pretty cool.

“tell me you love me
...because i don’t think i could handle it otherwise.”
one of my favorite quotes in the game is when lucifer and the mc are alone, where they choose to hug him after they returned to the devildom, and he whispers how he wants the human to tell him they thought of him everyday they were away- not of his brothers, but of him alone. because he ‘couldn’t handle it otherwise.” i love that soft, wanting aspect of lucifer, a side we don’t really see often. i wanted to expand a bit on this, so here is a small fic, lucifer x gender neutral mc, under the cut!
word count: 1200 or so
tags: lucifer x gender neutral mc, obey me! angst, fluff, romance, tension, slow build, spoilers*** for lesson 20 and below
they knocked on the study's door that towered over them, its very aura dominating, fearsome- behind this door leads to him and his gaze, as sharp and red as the thin thread that ties the two together, cutting and suffocating. his gaze always lingered in the human's mind behind closed eyes, behind closed doors- his gaze, red as blood, as marks left on their neck after a daring evening alone, as red as the human's heart that beats wildly as they raised their hand to knock upon the door. warm firelight spilled through the crevice underneath the door. they knew he was inside- he had been avoiding them ever since the night they spent together- this much, the human could tell. he was a hard one to decipher; he always had a sort of cloudiness hovering over him, always a bit restrained, a bit hesitant. he would look over his shoulder, never wear his heart there. it wasn't until that night the human must've said something small, something innocent, an accidental graze of fingertips, a mistakenly seductive glance. parted lips, inching noses... he had revealed what really lurked in the depths of his soul with shallow gasps and light moans, interlocked fingers across black silken sheets.
the smell of wooded musk lingered in the air- his candles were lit. the forest from home, the human thought- he always seemed to smell of fresh orchards. it was fitting he'd smell of such, after all, the human reflected, as every moment with him seemed akin to taking a bite of a fruit from a forbidden tree- he was the first prince of hell, second only to the devil himself. lucifer, a name feared throughout the human world just as much as the underworld- a taboo name, malevolent, a name called by the evil and wicked. the human remembered the fear that took hold of their heart when meeting the brothers- six demons stood behind a particularly shining one, his presence far more immutable than the others. lucifer, the morning star. poison to the soul, pomegranate seeds to the tongue. they knocked once more- the door finally opened.
their eyes met immediately, as the human drew closer to him. he sat on one of the small couches that accentuated his study, holding a glass of dark, almost jet-black liquid. the top two buttons of his dress shirt were undone, his tie hanging down his chest, his collarbone just slightly exposed- enough the have the human avert their gaze, face flushing as if exposed to something far too indulgent. without another word, lucifer took another glass, pouring demonus for the other as they sat besides him. he reached out his hand, to which the human accepted the glass. no words were exchanged as the two drank silently, the human stealing glances towards the demon. the lit fireplace quietly danced behind him, his silhouette outlined with the warm orange color, flooding his features. in his light, he almost seemed holy, heavenly, like a fragment of his previous celestial incarnation was shining through.
"you're avoiding me."
"is that what it seems like to you?" his lips balanced on the edge of sneering and smiling. then like a flicker of one of the candles dotting his small study, he turned his head, downing the rest of his liquor.
"do you think... do you think I can be a bit selfish and ask you to listen to me? I might say things that don't quite make sense, or run off on long tangents, or maybe circle back and say nothing of any use. but maybe, maybe I'll say what I need to and we'll both be better off. could you? could you listen to me?" he reached out his hand, it wavering every so slightly before falling short just inches of the human's fingertips.
"my life is simply full of mistakes. just, utter grievances, embarrassments, all plunders on my part. I never acknowledge them- I'm the first prince of hell- I take pride in everything I do, even the mistakes. but, by heaven and hell, I regret so much. the fall- one of my most grand achievements, inspiration to renaissance painters, punishment to god-fearing populace, martyrdom to revolutionaires, but to me- a failure. the death of my sister... meant the death of me, my brothers. the one person who didn't deserve a single hair on their head harmed- they lost their life for my stupid, arrogant cause. at least, out of that wrath towards myself, satan was spawned, and seeing him grow to be a wise, powerful demon, it gives me solace that something came out of my foolishness. but, lilith's death could never be repaid. I remember thinking that, over and over, as she laid in my arms, her lifeless corpse... growing cold. lord diavolo, he saw the despair in my eyes, my heart, and he offered a resolution. something that just maybe, maybe I can redeem myself, if it meant lilith could have a chance at normal life. a life as a human, as a daughter, a lover, as a mother. if she could live in bliss for thirty-odd years, well that's all that I could ask for. my undying loyalty for all of eternity... a small price to pay for knowing she smiled one more time before my pride got her killed. but, after millennia, it's hard to remember what it was all for. living day in and day out for the prince, to subject myself to bootlicking work, to be a puppet to the most powerful demon in the devildom- what an ironic fate for the avatar of pride. some nights, I forget what it was all for- the pledge of allegiance to the demon king, twisting my brothers to do his bidding, locking belphegor away, spending nights in here," he raised his arms, drawing attention to the stuffy room, paperwork stacked atop his desk like endless buildings across the horizon. "it's all for lilith, it's all for her- like a mantra in my head every time diavolo asks for a kiss upon his boots, every time he embraces me with a whisper of an order to my ear. but, its just words- something to tell myself, lest I go insane. I never did have that closure that she did live her life, a grand life, full of love and happiness. I had no idea what had become of her, how she met her humanistic fate. until..." he trailed off, his hand clenched, knuckles white.
"until me," the human finished for him, their thumbs circling around each other as they looked down, intently focused on the wood flooring. "yes, you're living proof she lived, she loved. you're... comfort to me, that at least once in my miserable life, I had made the right choice." he raised his hand, brushing his fingertips across the human's cheek, a strand of hair falling over their eyes. like gravity, their very souls the source of attraction, the two inched closer, slowly, bit by bit, a journey to a land of milk and honey. his face was flushed- either from the demonus or because their faces were so close, they couldn't tell. lucifer took the fallen lock of hair, tucking it behind their ear, a soft smile gracing his features. "could you kiss me? kiss me once and tell me i'm doing fine? that lilith would be proud- that my brothers are too? tell me you love me. tell me, because I don't think I could handle it otherwise." and the human closed the gap between their lips, kissing him again and again and again.
#im sorry if this doesnt make any sense. my explanation -->#i think lucifer holds a lot of insecurities on how he conducts himself. he has made extremely questionable choices. all stemming from his#committment to diavolo. naturally he must regret somethings perhaps everything#but in some ways. things arise to right the wrongs- to provide meaning to his blunders. for example#satan's circumstances of his birth. he is only alive because of lucifers intense wrath towards the events of the celestial war#as well as lilith having a second chance to live as a human and to love as a human/love humans = only possible bc he accepted diavolos#proposition#anyway. lots of feelings. i think ultimately he struggles coming to terms with his mistakes solely because he is suppose to be proud and#righteous in his decisions. but with the human... the human only came down to the devildom due to the decisions lucifer had made#its due to the fact he allowed lilith to be reborn as a human#that he helped lead the revolt against god. that he didnt betray diavolo. it all culminated into the human mc being born being raised being#brought to the devildom#and naturally. if he can gain the love of this human. if the human can kiss him and mean it. it had all been for something---#anyway im in love with morally gray characters especially them finding solace in loving another. i wrote another fic#just like this  of kent sdv LMAO i love his character......... i wrote how he feels evil due to his past crimes as a soldier#but if the farmer... life herself can find it in herself to love him. to forgive him.. he can forgive himself#anyway. lots of thoughts! thank you for reading if you did.. <3#obey me!#obey me lucifer#obey me mc#text
