How I would write an AroAllo character in a tv show for kids:

AroAllo Character going to a party/prom/beach/etc. with friends and everyone is looking hot: "If my friends could stop flustering me for five minutes, that would be great."

AroAllo Character making breakfast in pajamas: *Wear's t-shirt with aroallo flag that says "I like my romance like how I like my coffee, I don't like coffee* (I know there's romance favorable aromantics, its for a joke, shush)

AroAllo Character, in wrestler uniform, saying by to someone leaving their house who's dressed as a wrestler: "bye, see you next week!"

A.A.C.'s friend now approaching A.A.C.'s house: "Who was that?"

AroAllo Character: "Uh...Sparing partner" *winks to audience*

(Yes, its a sex joke. You can have those in kids shows, they have to be subtle)

Episode Idea: AroAllo is forced to go on date with someone that they don't know because of a friend who doesn't understand their "I don't do romance" thing. AroAllo doesn't like the romantic aspect of it while on date and eventually learns that neither does the date as they're also AroAllo (their mutual friend didn't know this). The friend witnesses this in horror because these two have an extreme level of sexual tension between them (in a kid's show, this would be lots of flirty comments I guess? Suggestions please, I'm struggling). Resolution of the episode is friend of both accepting them and main character giving monologue over how they both experience attraction.

Suggest more ideas, I'm out of them. Some advice would be nice too as even though I can call myself creative, I have very little experience doing aroallo things.

Aro enough

Algo que odié antes de darme cuenta de que soy aro/arromantica y sigo odiando siendo parte de la comunidad es el hecho de creer que se debe "cumplir con ciertos requisitos" para poder identificarte como arospec. Las primeras veces que busqué la palabra aromantic/arromanticx e investigué sobre aromanticismo me dije que yo no era así, pues 95% de los (pocos) post que había eran la misma definición escrita con distintas tipografías y diseños, puros chistes y estereotipos anticuados, cosas asexuales que dan por supuesto que también es arromanticx. 

(Todo en inglés porque no había forma que encontrar algo en español).

El tema es que nada de lo que veía encajaba con mi personalidad, ya que creía eso de "como no cumplo con cierta pauta que muestran como universal dentro de este grupo, entonces no soy parte de este" cuando no, eso no está bien. Siento que me hubiera tomado menos tiempo en averiguar quién soy si las páginas lgbtqia+ pusieran más información y experiencias aro/arro en vez de repetir los mismos chistes sin sentido que ya ni gracia dan.

Así qué ahora, meses después de aceptar quién soy, decidí hacer una lista con las cosas que me hubiera gustado que me hubieran dicho/podido leer esas primeras veces que entre en el hashtag o los posteos arros:

Nota. Está lista no está completa y probablemente me estoy olvidando de un montón de temas, pero intenté poner aquellos tópicos qué por mucho tiempo me cuestioné y más dudas generan entre lxs aro/arro.

Podés ser Aro y aún así:

Ver y adorar películas de romance.

Leer y disfrutar libros de romance.

Sentirte cómodx con los plots/sub-plots de romance.

Shippear una pareja romanticamente/sexualmente.

Desear o haber tenido una pareja romántica.

Desear hacer cosas consideradas románticas con otra/s persona/s (darse la mano, abrazarse todo el tiempo, besarse, dormir en una misma cama, tener relaciones sexuales, vivir juntxs, etc).

Hacer cosas consideradas románticas con otra/s persona/s.

Abrazar/besar/vivir/compartir con otra/s persona/s de manera platónica.

No tener problemas con que invadan tu espacio personal.

Ser afectivx con tus amigxs/familiares/conocidxs/compañeres.

No saber diferenciar entre sentimientos platónicos (amistad) o románticos hacia alguien.

Haber deseado salir con una persona pero ya no.

Qué en tu infancia/adolescencia hayas salido con personas de manera romántica.

Qué en tu infancia/adolescencia hayas tenido deseos de salir con alguien de manera romántica.

Haber tenido un "crush" (o lo que creías que era eso).

Imaginarte saliendo con una/s persona/s en plan romántico pero no querer pasarlo a la realidad.

Sentir atracción romántica hacia alguien pero perder el interés conforme conocés más a dicha persona.

Sentir atracción romántica hacia alguien e imaginarte en situaciones románticas pero perder el interés apenas la otra persona da señales de reciprocidad.

Sentir atracción romántica día sí, día no hacía una/s misma/s persona/s.

Querer algún día ser parte de una QPR's (queer-platonic-relationship/quasi-platonic-relationship) con unx o varias personas.

No desear o querer una QPR'S.

Confundir o sentirte confundidx con respecto a la atracción que sentís (estética, sensual, romántica, sexual).

Ser feliz amando a tus amigxs, familiares y/o mascotas.

Ser feliz estando solx.

Qué podés no compartir las mismas experiencias que otras personas aro/arro y aún ser totalmente válidx.

Este punto final es el más importante: todxs somos personas con distintas formas de ver el mundo/enfrentarnos/vivir en este, por lo que nunca vamos a cumplir con los estereotipos que se le inculcan a nuestra sexualidad o género por completo o en parte.

Basta de decirle a las personas aro/arro que "no son suficientemente aro/arro" o "no podés ser aro/arro si te gusta hacer/mirar/leer/pensar/imaginar...". Nadie puede decirte quién sos o no podés ser porque nadie te conoce más que vos.

Nadie tiene el derecho de hacerte dudar sobre tu persona o cuestionar tu sexualidad/género sólo porque elles no lo entienden. Ningún alloromantic va a entender por completo que es ser aro/arromanticx ni que se siente, pero eso no da derecho a que te invaliden. Mereces que te respeten por quién sos pese a si tiene o no sentido para elles.

No necesitas la aprobación de nadie para ser válidx. 

Sé vos mismx.

Just a baby aroace trying to figure out where I fall on each of the spectrums. Wondering if you can be greyromantic and Aegoromantic at the same time (same for sexual orientation). Like, I love the idea of it all in theory, and in fiction, but I do feel a disconnect with between myself and romance/sexuality. I get crushes sometimes and think people look hot, but never feel the drive to act on any of it... and I go into panic-retreat-mode if anyone indicates interest in me!! Ugh. It's confusing ya'll.
