Note
Aqp-platonic culture is being distressed by people saying that qprs are friendships, or similar to being someone’s best friend.
(anon probably means aqueerplatonic and alloplatonic? if you meant something else you can send another ask to clarify this)

Current Aspec pile.
Tumblr media
These are all the identities currently in the queue! I can't name them all in this post unfortunately so you'll just have to wait or ask me.
I'd really like it if people submitted more aspec identities to add to the pile! Even if they're really obscure. Or just a different version of a flag of an identity already on here.
I'll post an update to the pile once I get 10 or more! If you're not sure if a certain one is here, just ask!

A(queer)platonic aro culture is not getting all the hype around qprs.

Nonamorus culture is feeling happier after staring to identify as nonamorous, especially after realizing that you had a lot of internalized amatonormativity that made you force yourself to like qprs for a whole year

Being aromantic is not inherently all about friendship or having platonic squishes or wanting qprs!
Aros who are aplatonic, aplspec, nonfriending, plato averse, nonpartnering, aqueerplatonic, analterous, qpr averse, or otherwise do not fit norms surrounding platonic and qpr stuff(which seems to be compounded and intensely seen as 'aro culture' in general aro spaces) are amazing and we deserve to have our experiences acknowledged and we deserve to feel included in the aro community!
(-Sonic/Rift)
(This post is about aros who do not fit aro community norms surrounding friendship, qprs, and other nonromantic emotional attraction types/associated relationship types! DO NOT DERAIL)
(Also do not mention anything about us being human, not inhuman, etc. Because alterhuman, other nonhuman, and inhuman identities exist and not all of us id as human or call ourselves that so be mindful of that in any tags or replies!!)

questioning apl-spec culture is probably being greyplatonic or cupioplatonic but being so platonic-favorable (and not aqueerplatonic) that you think "what would even be the point of using the label? my experiences don't seem like anyone else's" and feeling a little too apl to be alloplatonic and a little too allo to be aplatonic

Questioning analterous culture is wanting to explore analterous stuff and see how other people feel but you can't bc there's like no stuff. Like ya there's loveless that kinda touches on it and yes there's aqueerplatonic, but it's more than that yk

Intro
This is a blog for people on the atertiary spectrum to talk about our experiences with being atertiary/ otherwise on the atertiary spectrum.
Atertiary refers to a disconnect from tertiary attraction and/or tertiary relationships, or little to no tertiary attraction. Tertiary attraction is any attraction thats not romantic or sexual, it is also called nonrose or eriattraction. Atertiary spec (aterspec) ppl may nor not be on the aro and/or ace spectrums, and may or may not be favorable to tertiary/nonrose relationships.
Some atertiary spectrum identities include aplatonic, asensual, analterous, etc.

We support all system types, if you don't, this blog is not for you and we will block you. Same goes if you're against atertiary orientations and/or an exclusionist.

Note
queerplatonic repulsed culture is feeling excluded from the aro / ace community because of how queerplatonic attraction / relationships seem to be expected
.
(just adding that the aro and ace community are not the same community or identity, they are distinct - and that even people who are neither aro or ace can be queerplatonic-repulsed in case other ppl misinterpret anon's wording) (and aqueerplatonic is still under aspec bc aspec is not just aro and ace, but anon does not mention orientation here only repulsion)

Atertiary culture is being happy that there are other people like you when you interact with or know about other people on the atertiary spectrum!!

Aromantic-aplatonic/aqueerplatonic-partnering-but-not-romo-favorable culture is feeling like the part of a 4D object that can’t be seen in 3D spaces
(Idk if anyone else has this combo of identities but if you do I’m giving you a high five)

INTRO
Hi, I am the first apl-culture-is blog. Ok, I actually don't know that.
Anyway, I first discovered Aplatonicism way back in 2018 on Pride-flags. Back then the community was fairly small and deserted. Since then, the community has slowly been gaining traction and now we have more people than ever. However we are still fairly small and I wanted to give us a place like this blog where we can submit our thoughts about being apl and gain some representation for ourselves.
What is Aplatonic? Look here at this masterpost.
The term first originated back in 2012 when Mr.Shuttershy came up with it on an AVEN thread. (/src)
I will also give my own personal brief rundown -
There are varied meanings for Aplatonicism. I understand it can be confusing but I believe the interpretation is up to you. If it fits you, it fits you.
From my understanding Aplatonic can range from being touch averse, neurodivergent, lacking Queerplatonic attraction(though you can also use Aqueerplatonic), lacking platonic attraction, struggling to form or maintain friendships/platonic relationships.
Though these do not need to be or are the only instances that you can experience Aplatonicism. If anything impacts how you form platonic relationships, interact, or experience platonic attraction then I believe you can call yourself Aplatonic.
This insight is inspired by all the many accounts I saw of what Aplatonicism was when I first discovered the term, and this quote:
Aplatonism can uniquely affect how we form and maintain platonic relationships. (/src)
I also do not think Aplatonicism is for Aromantics only, Allorose can also use it as well. Especially since it was first coined by an Alloro.
Accounts of the different meanings are difficult to find since I first discovered the term. However if you are curious or just inclined to look deeper into Aplatonicism, @aroarolibrary has some threads of the history and other content under #Aplatonicism.
Wondering what platonic attraction is? Well, I will explain quick from my understanding. It's the of feeling of being drawn to others or desire to create a friendship/platonic relationship. This can be experienced such as consistently reaching out, reaching out first(more than just occasionally). If you lack this, you may find you can go weeks, months, or even years without missing them since you last spoke. Or if you and your friends/platonic relationships go separate ways and you're not worried about being apart.
If you have questions feel free to ask and I will answer the best I can or will invite others to!
