what a terrible time to realize your mom forgot to schedule you any more therapy appointments.
#vent#my mom was venting to me and my dad about just how horrible things have gotten for her at school and my dad was trying to give her advice#even though he knows she hates that because he doesnt really get whats going on and how all these things interact in a school workplace#and it turned into an argument because my mom was sure his advice would get her fired/put on leave but my dad doesnt like#how she just has to accept being walked all over because she doesnt want to lose her job because no matter how shit things get she cares#about those kids goddamnit. and she was crying and he wasn't yelling but talking in a tone close enough#and he asked her not to rant about this to her anymore because he cant just listen and go 'that sucks'#and i was just stuck there in the living room because i didnt expect it to escalate like that and had gone over to her to hug her when#she first started crying. and then my dad left to go back downstairs and my mom apologized that i had to see that#and i just brought her the tissue box and went to my room#and cried a bit because i just feel so helpless. like. there's not much my mom can do other than talk to her union i think unless she wants#to risk being put on administrative leave again#apparently the last time that happened it was because she cussed out an assistant principal#... i didnt know she was put on leave. if this is the time i remember#i just remember her taking a break from teaching for a year. for her mental health. even tho not being able to teach seemed to make it wors#but i was a lot younger than. so i guess it makes sense i wasn't told the whole story#and my mom also brought up how hard she 'fought' at another school. i think thats where she taught before we moved to our current city when#i was 4#and then my mom comes into my room and says she thinks she needs to spend a weekend with my grandparents (her parents)#and then she left.#shes never done that before#and like i said. i dont have an appointment with my therapist. i go every other week#i should have gone this wednesday and i didnt notice there was nothing scheduled#there is what could be an appointment for me coming up maybe but im not sure because in the calendar its under my mom#who also way earlier in this conversation. mentioned that shes reached the point shes trying to get back to seeing a therapist#but the name she said sounded the same as my therapists (tho i dont know if she'd do that? she being either my mom or my therapist)#(like. conflict of intrest or whatever)#and i get why my mom didnt notice this week cuz if u couldn't tell. her week has been busy and hellish! of course it slipped her mind#which is why im writing a long ass vent about it in the tags on my tumblr account#because i need to say this somewhere or i think i might lose it

Kiss It Better | ELIJAH HEWSON
here's a short little thing inspired by this request!
PAIRING: elijah hewson x f!reader
WORDS: 1.5k
SUMMARY: eli's girlfriend is ill, elijah comforts her.
GENRE: hurt/comfort, fluff
WARNINGS: references to throwing up
I've never been so ill in my life. My nose is so runny. I've almost used every single packet of tissues in the kitchen cabinet right under the sink — which used to be a lot and now is very little. I've thrown up my insides into the loo way too many times to count on my fingers. Bent over the toilet, eyes pricking with tears, I've never felt so useless. At least the thought of my boyfriend getting back after his gig gives me something to look forward to. But it's far too late.
I'm staring at the TV screen. I hug my knees to my chest, attempting to generate some warmth. The blanket is upstairs — probably hiding in the space between the bed and the wall. Surely, if I attempt to stumble upstairs now, I'll just get stuck and end up falling asleep in the corridor.
I can't stop glancing at the door. I'm hoping for a doorknob twist, knock, ring of the doorbell, stamp of boots, low and raspy post-concert voice. But I'm just met with nothing. No signs of his arrival. He hasn't called me. He usually doesn't. He likes to surprise me. After having the worst migraine of my life, it would give me some comfort if he just gave me a hug. A warm Elijah Hewson hug would cleanse my mind.
Starting to realise that the TV is doing more harm than good, I switch it off. I'm beginning to see blurry triangular shapes and my eyes burn like they're on fire. The living room is pitch black. I'm freezing. I'm tired. I take two paracetamol tablets and chug some water. Curling up on my side, legs on the armrest, I close my eyes.
-
I wake up. Sunlight gleams through the gaps in the white curtains. My body is wrapped in a duvet, soft and warm. Skin is against mine. Arms are around my body, squeezing me tightly. He's shirtless. I can tell by the tufts of chest hair flicking at my shoulder. His head is on my back, curls all over my skin, lips between my shoulderblades. I don't want to move. I don't want to speak. He's asleep. Gentle snores, deep breaths, in and out.
I must've fallen into a deep sleep because I have no recollection of his arrival or him ever taking me upstairs. I'm usually a light sleeper. This migraine fully knocked me out. That's the best nights sleep I've had in a while. I'm especially thankful I managed to escape from work for the rest of the week.
Elijah's normally the little spoon when we hug like this. It's funny how the tables have turned. I think I prefer this though. But lying awake and tracing the muscles in his back always seems to calm me down.
I want to ask him how the show went and the reason for his tardiness. He had been playing in Glasgow, thankfully only a few miles away from me and had bought me tissues, chocolate and gave me an endless supply of kisses before he had to run down to meet the band.
Opening my eyes fully, I take a peek over at the bedside table. He's brought me more tissues, face masks, more chocolate and a box of sleep teabags.
I realise Elijah's awake when his fingers start to walk along my bare stomach and his mouth is at the juncture between my back and shoulder. He pulls my hair to the side, presses his wet mouth to my neck. He smells clean. I'm sure he's showered. His hair feels a little damp.
He keeps pulling me closer. Arms tightening like he's a boa constrictor. Cool rings on my stomach, large hands tugging at the waistband of my shorts.
"You feeling better?" He asks, between kisses, tongue tracing my jugular vein. It's unsettlingly nice. His words are always gruff the morning after the show. All the singing takes a toll. Makes him sound more mellow. Sometimes I worry for his vocal cords.
"Not really." I groan. A mind-numbing headache is still prodding at my brain and the brightness of the sun makes my eyes burn. He's got a hand on my forehead, cool fingers against fiery skin — checking the temperature.
"God, you're pale. And you're burning up. I should get the thermometer." He gets out of bed. The loss of weight of his body makes the mattress shift. I glance over at him. His hair has stuck up at the top, his bare back glows under the sunlight. He stands up. Sweatpants cling loosely to his hips, revealing the muscles of his abdomen and a chain circles around his neck. He leaves the room — not even giving me time to utter a word of annoyance at the sudden lack of touch.
Then he's back. He crawls into bed. The thermometer is between his index finger and thumb. I look at the cross tattoo on his palm, see the concentration on his face as he plays around with the buttons.
"It's just a migraine," I say but he's already turning it on and pointing at my mouth. I roll my eyes and separate my lips. He gives me a sly smirk, just making me sit like that for a moment. Then he puts the device beneath my tongue and waits patiently. I'm trying not to laugh at how awkward this is. I close my eyes to evade his gaze but I can still feel the force of his stare.
"You've got a fever." Dr Hewson alerts me with his expert diagnosis although the furrow of his brows makes him seem unsure. He looks down at the numbers displayed, rubbing his face with worry. "A really bad one." He's now searching up on his phone what it means.
"Should I go to the doctors?" I shuffle away from him. I don't want him to catch what I have. He has gigs all week, I don't want to ruin anything for him.
He notices my movement. Shaking his head, he drags me back towards him, making me nestle into his chest. His eyes are still darting along a website.
"I think you just need to rest. I'll make you breakfast." Elijah kisses my nose before running downstairs with his mind set solely on making some decent food.
Through the corridor, into the kitchen. He's forgotten where half the things are in the room. Opening cabinets, searching through the fridge, putting water into the kettle. Most of the time he'll get his breakfast on the way to a show. Maybe a café, maybe he'll steal some food from Ryan. Today, however, he's lucky enough to not have a gig and actually have time to look after his girlfriend. Although he's definitely going to make a mess of the place.
His final decision is to make omelettes. Oil on the frying pan, ham—leaving it to heat up until it's a little crispy. Two eggs, cracked and swirled in a glass. Cheese on top, grated with masterful excellence—at least that's what he believes. Folds it over to make it fill half of the pan. Let's it continue to fry. Then he's running over to make a cup of tea. He uses one of the sleep teabags he bought. He's just about to plate up when footsteps echo behind him.
I have to stop for a second when I walk into the kitchen. It's a rarity to see Elijah here, cooking for me. We started dating at the beginning of the tour which unluckily means that he's hardly ever home. He has to leave early in the morning and gets back really late. Whenever he has days off, he takes me on dates and walks, or we just laze around at home, basking in eachother's presence. There's times when he brings me along to the recording studio so that I can reprimand all the band members or give an outside opinion of their new songs.
Elijah seems so focused on getting this omelette perfect. He's running around the place. He grabs two pieces of bread to turn his dish into an omelette-sandwich. I stand in the doorway for a while, just watching him. But, I can't stop myself from nearing him. As he cuts an apple into a slices, I slide my arms around his stomach, pressing my head to his shoulder. He sighs quietly. I breathe in his scent, his comfort.
"You should be in bed," he whispers, although he doesn't seem to want me to let go. I shake my head as he looks at me.
There's music playing on the radio. I turn it up. It's a song by The Smiths. I'm swaying to the beat, moving Elijah along with me. He's still carefully chopping fruit into perfect pieces. Watermelon, strawberries, mango. My mouth is watering just looking at the vast array of flavours.
Elijah drops his knife, turns around to face me. His hands find my waist, his lips find my neck, his head burrows into my chest like he's a mole hiding under soil. We dance along to the crackle of music, feeling the melodies trickle into our bones. Just his presence makes me feel better, every kiss turns my negative thoughts to mush.

That’s how she knows
Author’s note: Yayy! I’m back!! Finally got some time to finish my fics!! thank you for your patience <3
Pairings: WandaNat, WandaNat x toddler!reader, WandaNat x child!reader
Warnings: crappy enchanted-inspired title, tooth rotting fluff, WandaNat family, two redheads finally getting to be happy.
AU! where Wanda and Natasha are dating!! (no vision, srry). Wanda had the twins billy and tommy using ~magic~ and natasha adopted a baby from the red room when she took it down.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Natasha and Wanda were trying to start a relationship. They just worked well together and loved each other deeply. However, they were taking small steps because of their kids.
Wanda had twin boys, Billy and Tommy, who were 7 years old. They were well behaved, easygoing, smart kids.
And Natasha had you, a girl adopted by her from the red room. When she took dreykov’s scheme down, Yelena surveyed the area to find people that could’ve gotten hurt in the process. But in one of the rooms she found a newborn baby, who had probably been kidnapped from her family to be the youngest widow on training. The blonde called her sister panicking, and Natasha didn’t think twice. You were her baby.
Two years have passed since she brought you home and you were turning yourself into a confident, strong and funny little girl. And the black widow was turning herself into a mother.
The boys knew about her mom going on dates and they were supportive of her, and you were too young to really understand what was going on, but you really liked Wanda and the boys.
Natasha wanted to take a step further and ask Wanda to be her girlfriend, but something was keeping her from doing it. She was so used to living alone with you that she couldn’t really see how things would work if she lived with Wanda.
How it would be like to build a family?
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Today was being a slow day. It was saturday, which meant Nat didn’t went to the compound and you also didn’t have to go to daycare. You were sleeping in late, which was unusual but the widow wasn’t complaining, that way you were sleeping more and she could prepare breakfast for the both of you calmly.
As she was finishing cutting some strawberries, you came to the kitchen in your PJs and with teary eyes.
“Mama… I feel yucky” You whined, rubbing at your eyes.
“Sweetie, what happened?” Your mama walked over you to pick you up. “Oh my, you’re burning up!” She said, laying her hand on your forehead.
You sobbed quietly and burrowed your face on her neck.
Natasha was heartbroken. You were always bubbly and happy and it was obvious that you were feeling awful. She never had to deal with a sick kid before so she was nearly panicking. How could she take care of you properly if she had no idea of how to do it?
“Hhah'ktshi! Hki'tshiew!” You sneezed down your little hands, facing away from her. The redhead was glad that you were polite even if you were still really young.
“Aw, bless you.” She said, while reaching for a tissue from the box that sat at the countertop to wipe your nose.
Suddenly, her phone ringed, prompting you to whine quietly, the sound of the ringtone making your head hurt.
“Shh… it’s okay.” She sat down on the couch, holding you while picking up her phone.
Shoot. It was Wanda. You had agreed that you’d go on a date with her and the kids at the movie theater. But looking at the flushed toddler on her lap, she understood that movie night had to be postponed.
“Hi Wands!”
“Hi Natty! I’m just calling to confirm our movie night today? the boys are really excited about it!” The witch said happily.
“Darling i’m sorry, I don’t think we’re going to be able to-“
“Hhh'ishiew! Eiiishiew! hhii’eshhiew!” You sneezed, wincing at the pressure caused on your sinuses.
“Bless you! is that Y/N?” She asked worriedly
“Yes, she just woke up and she’s miserable Wands, I have no idea of what to do, I never cared for a sick kid before, what should-“
“Sweetie calm down.” Wanda cut her girlfriend from her ramblings.
“I know it’s scary when our babies get sick. I’ve been there. Right now i’m gonna need you to pack a bag, and come over to my house. I’m gonna help you take care of her.”
“Oh Wands, I don’t want to be any trouble for you, I can figure something out.” Natasha said, not wanting to be a burden to her girlfriend.
“Nat, let me help you, I love you, I love Y/N and I want to get her to feel better, and I also want to be here for you, I don’t want you to be alone in this.”
She loves Y/N… that made Natasha smile for the first time that day.
“Okay darling, i’m coming, thank you so much!”
“Don’t mention it! See you soon”
Hanging up the phone, Nat tried to get you to lay down on the couch so she could gather your belongings. It took a while because your fever made you clingy, but you eventually calmed down, falling into a light sleep.
After packing your things, Natasha picked you up carefully, enveloping you in your favorite blanket.
“Hh-h'ktshi! H hheh'tsh!” You sneezed softly, rubbing at your itchy eyes.
“Hey princess, I need you to stop rubbing your eyes, your gonna hurt them okay?”
You nodded, coughing slightly and Nat winced at the sound of your congested chest.
“Do you know what? we’re visiting auntie Wands, isn’t that cool?” Your mama asked, trying to cheer you up.
“Play date?”
“Yes, like a playdate.”
“Yaaay.” You cheered tiredly.
Nat smiled at your cuteness and got the both of you in the car, buckling your seatbelt and draping your blanket over you.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“Boys, I need to talk to you!” Wanda called out for the kids, who were playing in the backyard.
“I didn’t do anything, I promise!” Tommy said as he ran over to his mom.
“Your not in trouble silly, I just want to talk.” Wanda chuckled.
“Is everything alright?” Billy asked, giving his mom a side hug as they all sat at the bench in the balcony.
“Well, not really… I just called Nat to confirm our movie night, but Y/N is sick so they’re probably not going.”
“Wait, but she’s okay, right?” Billy asked, worried about you.
“She’s not doing too well buddy, but I think it’s just a cold.”
“Aww, if she’s sick we’re also not going mom, I wouldn’t have a lot of fun thinking that she’s not feeling good.” Tommy said, frowning at the thought of the sick toddler.
Wanda brushed her hand through her son’s hair, proud of his actions. “You guys are so kind.”
“Mom, can we visit her?” Billy asked. “We could make her company.”
“And you would see auntie Nat!” Tommy added, winking.
The witch laughed at her son’s antics. “Guys, I actually told Nat to come over to the weekend. Y/N has never been sick before and Nat was really nervous so I thought we could help.”
“Mom, that was a great idea!” Tommy smiled.
“Yeah, we promise we’ll behave and be the best doctors!” Billy said.
“Thank you for being so understanding, I’m really happy with you both.” She said, hugging the twins.
“Does that mean we’ll have extra ice cream for dessert?” Billy asked.
“Hmm… I’m going to think about it.” Wanda said, getting up as the doorbell rang. “Now go and play, Y/N is probably sleeping, if I need any help I’ll just ask the best doctors in the city.” She winked.
With that, the boys began to run around the backyard again.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
At the front door, there was an anxious redhead with a clearly distressed kid clinging to her. You were flushed and shivering in your sleep, and Nat just looked shaken, Wanda had never seen the both of you like this before.
“Hey guys, come in.” The witch said, while grabbing the backpack from her girlfriend’s back, in a attempt to get some weight from her.
“Thank you so much Wanda, you’re the best.” Natasha said, pulling the ginger into a hug.
“No problem darling, come on, let’s sit down.”
As both women sat on the couch, you were laid in between them, with your head on Wanda’s lap.
“Tsk poor thing, you’re not feeling well huh?” Wanda said, rubbing circles on your back as you whimpered in your sleep.
“She fell asleep in the car but I think her temperature has risen.” Your mama said, looking anxiously at her girlfriend to see if she had any ideas to get you feeling better.
Placing her delicate hands on your forehead and cheeks, the witch stated: “Natty, I think she’s a bit too warm for my liking, can you grab the thermometer on my bathroom cabinet?”
The widow quickly got up to retrieve the device, afterall, she had been to Wanda’s house enough times to know where she kept things.
“I got it.”
“Kitten, can I get your blanket for a moment?” Wanda asked, running her hands through your beautiful curls. You nodded, if you weren’t so out of it you would have asked her why she wanted your blankie, but right now you just didn’t have the energy to do so.
At the sudden loss of warmth, you started shaking more noticeably, earning worried looks from both women.
“Try and stay still princess, I promise it’ll be quick.” Your mama said as your auntie placed the thermometer in your mouth, hugging you tight.
“39.2, I really don’t like this fever Natty.” Wanda said as the device gave it’s verdict.
“Oh goodness, what should we do?”
“What about you give her a shower? try to lower that fever so we can properly feed and medicate her?” She said, moving you to your mama’s arms.
“That’s a good idea, what bathroom can I use?”
“You should go to my room, it’s more comfortable.”
“Ok, I’m going.” Nat said. “Hey bug, we’re going to take a nice shower now okay?” She cooed, entering Wanda’s room.
As the witch searched for some medicine in the cupboards, the twins entered the kitchen, slightly out of air because they were playing tag.
“Hey mom! where’s Y/N?”
“Hi boys, she’s taking a shower, why don’t you do the same? you’re kinda sweaty.”
“Okay!!”
The boys ran upstairs to shower and Wanda finally found the bottle of medicine. She gathered everything that she could need, like tissues and the thermometer and made her way to her room.
Entering the bedroom, Nat had already finished cleaning and dressing you. The witch approached the chair where Natasha was sitting with you on her lap. Your shivering decreased noticeably and you weren’t as pale as before, but you were still quiet and looking miserable.
“Hey princess, are you all clean?” Wanda asked, kneeling down to your level.
You nodded and made grabby hands, signaling the witch that you wanted to be held by her.
She’s so precious. The woman thought to herself as she picked you up, raising her hand to your forehead to feel that your fever wasn’t as high as before.
“She adores you. Whenever we go out she keeps talking about you.” The redhead stated, giving a kiss to her girlfriend’s cheek.
“Aww, is it true Y/N? do you like me?”
You hummed in agreement and started caressing her ear, something that you only did to your mama. For some reason, you trusted Wanda and you could feel your mama’s happiness whenever she was around.
“Let’s go prepare lunch? I bet you’re hungry.” Wanda asked the redhead.
“I’m helping you.”
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
While the two adults were preparing some lunch, you were sitting on the couch with the boys, watching finding nemo. It was peaceful, until your nose started tickling.
“Hehh…”
“Don’t cover with your hands.” Billy alerted, making you lose the need to sneeze. He got up and brought the tissues for when you needed them.
“If you need to sneeze, try to cover with these, ok?”
You nodded and gave him a thumbs up. Nat and Wanda smiled at each other, admiring the way that you got along well.
“Hh-“ The tickle returned and you didn’t got enough time to pull the tissues, prompting Tommy to use his super speed to help you.
“Heh’iishioo! Hu’tshhiew! Hhheh'tsh!” You sneezed down the tissues that the boy used to cover your nose.
“Bless you.” The boys said in unison. “I’m going to wash my hands.” Tommy added.
“They’re so cute.” Wanda whispered to Nat not wanting to interrupt the interaction.
“The boys are so precious, they get it from you.” Nat purred, making the other woman blush.
“Guys, food’s ready!” Wanda announced, prompting you to make your way to the table.
Everyone sat down to eat and you got secured in the high chair that Wanda had in the house just for you. Nat finished eating quickly so she could feed you.
As she started spoon feeding you, your throat started hurting a lot. It was like there was a thousand needles prickling you. And it made tears fill your eyes. However you were well educated, so you forcefully swallowed the soup, making tears fill your eyes.
“Ow…” You whimpered quietly, crying at the pain that you felt.
“What happened baby?” Nat asked, catching the tears that rolled down your cheek.
“Hurts…”
“Don’t cry. Where do you hurt?” Wanda asked, holding your hand.
“Mom, her throat must be hurting.” Billy said.
“Yeah, that’s why she’s so quiet.” Tommy added.
“Is that it sweetie, your throat hurts?”
You nodded, sobbing quietly.
“Let’s try to eat a little bit more? Can you try that?” Your mama asked. You hadn’t eaten all day and she couldn’t give you medicine on an empty stomach.
You shook your head no. You were exhausted and feeling yucky and you didn’t wanted to eat or take medicine.
“Y/N, what about this, you try to eat a little bit more, and take your medicine like a brave girl, and when your fever lowers I can give you a popsicle. Would you like that?”
You nodded slowly.
“If you’re too scared we can take some medicine so you see it’s not a big deal!” Tommy offered.
“That’s so sweet, but it won’t be necessary, medicine is only for sick people.” Nat thanked the boy, messing with his hair.
You ate a little more and the boys cheered when you took your medicine without complaining.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
You guys had a peaceful afternoon, with the boys playing legos with you and the both women just chilling and chatting. However, with the eventful day you had, you were starting to get sleepy. Noticing how tired you were, Wanda spoke up: “Hey guys, how about we call it a day? I bet you’re exhausted.”
“Yeah, I’m kinda tired.” Billy admitted.
“Okay, Nat, i’m just going to put the boys to slee-
“Mom, how about aunt Nat put us to sleep?” Tommy said, wanting some more time with the redhead.
The witch looked over at her girlfriend, who had the biggest smile on her face.
“Of course I can put you to sleep! I’d love to!”
With that, the boys kissed Wanda and you good night and made their way to the bedroom along Natasha.
After tucking the boys in, Natasha sat in the middle of both beds, holding the boys hands until they’d fall asleep.
“Did you know that our mom loves you?” Tommy said, breaking the silence.
After processing what the boy had just said, Nat asked: “Did she say that?”
“It’s obvious that she loves you, just look at the way she looks at you.” Billy stated. “We also love you, and Y/N. Do you love us too?”
“I do boys. I love you guys and I love your mom.”
“So why you haven’t asked to marry her yet?”
Nat chuckled. “It’s not that simple guys, something like this would change our lives forever, and you’re really young yet.”
“I’d like that change…” Tommy said.
“I’d also like it, very much.” The redhead said, getting up and kissing the twin’s foreheads.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Entering the living room, Natasha saw the most beautiful scene in front of her.
Wanda was rocking you so sleep, singing you a sokovian lullaby. You were already asleep in her arms, looking peaceful and happy.
That’s when Nat decided that she would love to get home everyday to this scene.
That she would love to put the boys to bed.
That she would love to always help Wanda cooking.
That she would love to see you growing along with the twins.
That this was her family. And she wanted to spend the rest of her life like this.

Eijiro walked through the front door shortly after midnight. The lower half of his body was still clad in his hero costume but he had a jacket covering his upper half. He tugged off his boots and that was when he noticed the flickering blue light coming from the living room.
He cautiously investigated since you were usually in bed when he got home this late. He half expected to find his 5 year old up and sneakily watching her favorite show but instead he found you. Bundled up on the edge of the sofa, all wrapped up in a blanket with a box of tissues at your side and a trash can just below, nearly full of used ones. Throat lozenges littered the coffee table filling the space between your barely eaten bowl of soup and your half-drunk water bottle.
Your mouth hung open and he could faintly hear the garbled sound of congestion when you breathed. He also noticed the dampness of your shirt collar, covered in sweat, and when he just hovered his hand over your forehead he could feel the heat radiating off you.
Tumblr media
Quickly, Eijiro went into the bedroom and kicked his way out of his pants, discarding the jacket on the plush bench at the end of the bed but he never really slowed down on his way to the bathroom. He cranked the shower water as hot as it could possibly go and pushed the head away so the spray stayed clear of the stone bench in the back, doing his best to keep the sitting area dry. Then he turned on the little diffuser and waited until the scent of eucalyptus hit his nose before he pulled on sweats and made his way out to you, making sure the door was shut firmly behind him.
He remembered when your daughter was sick, nose so stuffy there was no chance of her breathing through it, you took her into a steam-filled bathroom to help break some of it up. That had to work for you too, right?
You stirred when he pulled back the blanket, bringing your limbs in close to your chest, and when he lifted you into his arms you grumbled incoherently at him. “Eiji, baby, put me back. Don’t wanna get you sick.”
He tried so hard not to laugh at your nasally tone and failed, snickering, “We’ve been together for well over a decade and I think I’ve been sick once that entire time.”
“Four times.” You corrected with a stern gaze.
“Eating bad sushi and getting food poisoning doesn’t count. So, two. Now, please stop arguing and lemme take care of you.”
“Fine. But, can you take care of me on the sofa? ‘M so cold and my blanket was warm.”
“Nope. You’re cold ‘cause you got a fever. And ya sound like you’re starting up a snot factory.” He lowered his voice as he carried you past your daughter‘s room. “Gonna get you in the shower, okay?”
You didn’t try to get out of it at all. He set you down on the bathroom counter, the room now full of steam, “arms up for me… atta girl.”
The shirt was discarded in the hamper and he didn’t bother to slip you into another one just yet. He picked you right back up and brought you in the shower with him.
The bench managed to stay mostly dry, and what water did splash on his sweats, Eijiro didn’t mind one bit. Your legs straddled his lap when he took a seat, chests pressed against each other with your head tucked into the crook of his neck.
“Smells good, Eiji. Haven’t been able to smell anything all day.”
“It’s eucalyptus… I think that’s supposed to help, right?”
You turned your head and pressed a kiss to the hinge of his stubble covered jaw. “Yes, baby, think this is helping already.”
He smiled happily to himself and continued to lazily run his hands across your bare back.
He leaned his head against the shower wall, letting his own eyes dip shut. The steam seeping into his sore muscles and the cracks in his skin that still remained from his patrol. He’d been considering the benefits of installing a sauna when your quiet snores hit his ears.
For just a little while longer, he held you in the warmth of the shower to get as much congestion broken up as possible and ease whatever aches you felt. But, when the time came to get out, he turned the water and wrapped a towel around you. “Sit up for just a second, love, lemme dry you off.”
You did as he asked, even with eyes shut, and once he had a clean shirt on you, he helped you lay back in bed.
“Covers?” You nodded and he pulled them up to your chin. “I’ll be right back.”
He kissed your forehead and quietly padded out of the room. The living room was easy to pick up, he just brought your bowl into the kitchen and grabbed a few things to set on your nightstand in case you needed them.
A full bottle of water, your tissues and lozenges and some medication too. Once all that was good to go, he finally crawled into bed beside you. Holding you close for most of the night until you decided you were too hot and shoved off of him, kicking your half of the blankets off in a sleepy dramatic fashion that he had to clap a hand over his mouth to keep himself from busting out laugh.

Come morning, Eijiro heard the bedroom door creak open and saw that head of messy ebony hair slowly make her way into your guy’s room.
“C’mere, little pebble.” His voice was groggy, thick with sleep but his daughter walked over to his side of the bed with a pout on her little face.
“But, mama always wakes up wif me.”
“Well, dada’s going to t’day, sound good?”
She started to grin as you stirred.
“Ei, s’okay, I can take her.” He turned his head to see your exhausted eyes just barely open. “You got home late, stayed up with me, and have another shift t’night. You need sleep too, babe.”
He shook his head. “Nope. I’m takin’ the day off. Texted Kat last night.”
Your eyes opened a little wider. “Crap, I did get you sick!”
Eijiro just chuckled and kissed you smack on the lips despite your protests. “You did not get me sick. What you didn’t do was call me to come home early to take care of you yesterday, so, I’m doin’ it today.” He tossed the blankets off him and scooped your daughter up in his arms. “Let’s go make mama some breakfast, yeah? Then we can all come back and eat it in bed.”
The little girl squealed with joy at the impromptu plans while Eijiro leaned down to give you another quick kiss.
“Take such good care of me, baby.” You mumbled to him softly.
“‘Nd I always will.”

Valentine's Day
The Valentine's Day collab is finally here!
This is Elliot's POV. Cedar's POV will be on @ofclrosewriteswhump 's blog, but I will be adding both to the Worthless Masterlist.
I hope you enjoy!
Content: sickfic, an obscene amount of fluff, overwhelming gayness
-
Elliot had begged Lyra not to text Cedar. They'd been planning their Valentine's date for weeks and Elliot couldn't bear to be the reason it was ruined.
He'd woken up that morning feeling achy and lethargic. His throat was sore, his nose was stopped, and beads of sweat continued to appear at his hairline, no matter how many times he tried to wipe them away.
Of course, Lyra had noticed right away that something wasn't right, despite how hard he tried to hide it.
“Please, Lyra. I'm fine, I swear!” Elliot begged. “Just don't tell him, please.”
Lyra already had their phone out with Cedar's messages pulled up. “Sunshine, you're sick. Your date isn't for another week, it's no big deal.”
“But if he finds out, he'll cancel it! He'll be too worried about me. He always—” Elliot coughed and gagged as he was forced to swallow back down the phlegm that had traveled up his throat.
Lyra sighed. “I'm sorry, sunshine, but I can tell you feel awful. It's only gonna get worse if you don't rest.” They sent the text and Elliot felt his heart plummet. “Now, let's get you to bed.”
That's what led to Elliot laying in his bed, sobbing quietly into his comforter with Dumpling curled up against his side, but that was several days ago. Since then, Lyra had been doing everything they could to help him rest and heal enough before their date. However, it wasn't enough. It was the day of Valentine's, and Elliot was still bedridden. That morning, Lyra had informed him that they were going to run some errands, but that Marlie was on her way over to keep him company. That eased his worries a bit, until all that was left was the guilt of ruining Valentine's Day.
Elliot was cuddling with Dumpling while watching a movie on Lyra’s computer when the door to his room suddenly opened. He glanced up to see Marlie standing in the doorway and instantly brightened up a little.
“M-Mar—” Elliot dissolved into a coughing fit, his throat burning as he did so. His eyes watered and he reached for a tissue, only to find the box empty. Elliot groaned and laid back down on his bed.
Marlie rushed to his side, mumbling a quick “be right back,” before returning with an unopened roll of toilet paper. “Sorry, Bluebell. I wanted to be quick. Do you need water?” she asked softly, sitting next to his bed.
Elliot nodded. “I'm sorry, Marlie. You-You don't have to d-deal with this.” He ripped off a square of toilet paper and blew his nose.
Marlie put a gentle hand on his shoulder, comforting him the best she could. “I don’t mind. I want to help you.”
Elliot sniffled and threw away his makeshift tissue. “Are you sure? You-You don't h-have to.”
Marlie nodded. “Of course. I brought a couple bottles in my bag. Here, Bluebell.” She handed him a water bottle before thinking of something. “Do you want help with anything?”
Elliot shook his head. “Can-Can you just k-keep me company? I-I don't know where L-Lyra went and-and I don't wanna be alone.”
Marlie nodded, knowing he was overthinking. “Of course! Do you want to watch anything?”  She offered to hold his hand, knowing she’d get sick anyway with her weaker immune system.
Elliot shrugged. “I was just watching some m-movie that Lyra had saved. I'm not really p-paying attention.”
“Okay, want to keep watching it? It's fun being with you. Is it okay that I’m holding your hand?” Marlie spoke softly, hoping to comfort Elliot. She giggled when Dumpling’s whiskers tickled her hand.
“Are-Are you sure?” Elliot asked. “I-I don't want to g-get you sick.”
Marlie nodded. “It’s okay. I've always gotten sick easily but it’s worth it for you.” She smiled at him gently.
“O-Okay then. Um…can-can you h-hold me while-while we watch the movie?”
Marlie smiled and immediately climbed into bed next to him. She opened her arms. “Of course, Bluebell. I'm always happy to hold you.”
Elliot smiled and crawled into her waiting arms. He snuggled into the warmth of her embrace as Dumpling curled up beside the two of them. Just as Marlie repositioned Lyra’s laptop, the sound of her phone buzzing startled them both. Elliot looked up at her, confused. “Who is it?”
Marlie reached over with one hand, keeping her arm around Elliot. “Lyra, they want to know how you're feeling. Are you doing okay?”
Almost as if on cue, Elliot broke into a coughing fit, his lungs and throat burning. He reached for the glass of water Lyra had left him and downed half of it in a matter of seconds. Once he was finished, he wiped his mouth dry and set the glass back onto the bedside table to his left. His voice was raspy and nasal as he said, “N-Not r-really.”
Marlie rubbed his back. She tried her best to comfort him and make him feel better. “Do you have any cough medicine?” she asked after sending a quick text to Lyra.
“I-I'm not sure,” Elliot answered. “B-Broderick was supposed to g-get some, but-but I don't know if he's b-back yet.”
“Want me to text him?” Marlie asked, holding Elliot close and offering the comfort she could.
Elliot nodded. “If-If you don't m-mind.”
Marlie nodded. “I don't mind at all. Want me to keep holding you?” She asked, pulling out her phone to send the text. “Done.”
Elliot nodded. “Y-Yes, please.” He shivered and curled up to her.
Marlie held him close, trying to warm him up.
“Can-Can I have a blanket?”
Marlie nodded, “Of course!” She wrapped a blanket around Elliot, holding him close in her arms. “Now we wait for a response.”
It was a few minutes later that Broderick finally responded, the text reading, “Just picked up some cough medicine. Should be back in a couple minutes.”
Marlie looked at her phone, once again startled by the sudden noise. “Broderick says he'll be back soon.” She sent back a quick response, thanking him.
Elliot nodded. “Th-Thanks, Marigold.”
Marlie held him closer. “Happy to help, Bluebell.”
Elliot was still shivering, though much less so than before. “You're so w-warm.”
“I’m happy you think so.” Marlie smiled, relieved to feel Elliot relax. “Want me to ask Broderick for another blanket when he gets back?”
Elliot nodded. “Yes, please.”
Marlie brushed his hair, knowing how much he liked the feeling. “It should only be a few minutes. He’ll be here soon.”
Elliot closed his eyes and reveled in the gentle touch at the top of his head.
Marlie smiled, humming quietly until she heard footsteps approach the door.
Elliot opened his eyes just in time to see Broderick peek his head into the room. “Hey, guys,” he greeted. “I've got some cough medicine and an extra blanket.”
Marlie smiled. “Thanks.” Not knowing what else to say, she resumed brushing Elliot’s hair.
Broderick stepped into the room, set the medicine beside Elliot's bed, and handed the blanket to Marlie. “How are you feeling, sweet?”
Elliot briefly glanced up at the medic and shrugged. “N-Not great. S-Sorry for-for causing so much trouble.”
“It's no trouble at all, sweet. This is my job. Just take one of those tablets every six hours and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you, okay?” Elliot nodded, and with one last friendly smile, Broderick left the room.
Marlie helped Elliot with his medicine; the tablet being small helped. She wrapped Elliot in the fluffy blanket and held him close.
Elliot cuddled up to her and laid his head in her lap. “Marlie?” He asked.
Marlie responded with a quiet hum, continuing to gently brush Elliot’s hair while he rested his head on her lap.
“Do you think Cedar's m-mad that-that I ruined our date? I-I haven't s-seen him in almost a-a week.” Tears flooded Elliot's ocean-blue eyes as he imagined the worst. “What if he b-breaks up with me?”
Marlie looked at him worriedly. “He's not breaking up with you. He's been trying to find a way to make your date fun while you're sick. I don't know exactly what he's planning but he's been trying lots of Spanish recipes.” She gently brushed his hair.
The worry and fear in the pit of Elliot's stomach didn't fade. “Then-Then why hasn't he come to s-see me?”
“He wants to perfect it. You know how you were going stargazing? He's going to bring the stars to your bedroom. Want to call him to feel better? I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Lyra’s helping him out with the finishing touches.” Marlie softly brushed Elliot’s hair. “It was going to be a surprise so I can't tell you what exactly Cedar’s bringing for food or how he's going to make a stargazing date for the both of you. I just know he's been tracking stuff down at thrift shops and astronomy places.”
Elliot felt even more guilty. “I-I ruined the surprise?”
Marlie shook her head. “Not at all. You know the basics of it but you don't know what Cedar is bringing here. That’s not ruining the surprise.”
“O-Okay,” Elliot said. “Um…when-when is he gonna be here?”
Marlie glanced at her phone. It was around late afternoon or early evening. “About an hour. I think he wants the sun to be down before coming.”
Anxiety swelled in the pit of Elliot's stomach. “Do-Do I look okay?”
Marlie nodded, not wanting to overwhelm him. “You look great. How about putting on a skirt or your new dress if you want. I can do your hair while you're in bed too.”
Elliot nodded and quickly jumped out of bed to go change.
Marlie followed, ready to catch him if he slipped. “Careful, you're still sick. You don't have to dress up a lot. Just do what you can, okay?”
Elliot ignored her concern and quickly scanned his closet for something nice to wear. “I just wanna look nice,” he said. “If he's putting all this effort into a n-nice date, I-I don't wanna look like I've been sick.”
Marlie nodded in understanding, walking over to Elliot to help him find something he liked. “What about your flower dress?”
Elliot examined his black, floral-patterned dress. It hung to his knees and had puff shoulder sleeves. He'd gotten it recently on a trip to the mall and had yet to wear it. “Do-Do you think he would like that?”
“He’d love it.” Marlie smiles at him. She was so happy to see him excited for a date.
“O-Okay.” Elliot grabbed the dress and bolted into the bathroom to get changed.
Marlie waited patiently, petting Dumpling while Elliot changed.
When Elliot emerged, he gave a twirl to show Marlie the whole thing. “What do you think?”
Marlie beamed, eyes glowing at how happy Elliot looked. “You look amazing!”
“R-Really?” Elliot asked, giving himself a once-over in the mirror. “Do you think I need shoes or anything?”
Marlie shook her head, standing next to him. “No, you guys are staying home. Kinda like a movie date but better.”
Elliot nodded, his breathing quickening.
Marlie looked at him worriedly, guiding him to sit. “Bluebell, he wants to bring stargazing inside. You’re safe, I promise.”
Elliot's breathing didn't slow. “I-I just w-wanna be g-good enough for-for him. Wh-What if he doesn’t l-like this? What if he gets m-mad at me for-for being sick? What if he's doing this just to b-break up with me?”
Marlie brought him into a hug, knowing his past relationships were horrendous. “You're perfect to him. Bluebell, he's so happy with you and will love this. He's not mad and he won't break up with you. I promise. Want me around for support?”
Elliot melted into her embrace and tried not to cry into her shoulder. “N-No that's-that's okay. I-I don't want him to-to get m-mad.” Elliot flinched when the distant sound of the doorbell rang. He gasped. “That's-That’s h-him.”
Marlie took his hand. “He wouldn't. Want to walk to the door with me?”
Elliot nodded and shakily reached for her hand.
Marlie gently squeezed his hand. “It’s okay, he’ll be so excited to see you.”
Elliot nodded once more and nervously followed her down to the front door.
...
Marlie opened the door, Dawn helping Cedar carry a box of food.
Elliot's breath caught in his throat. He felt like it had been months since he'd seen Cedar, even though it had only been a week. Anxiety churned in the pit of his stomach at the sight of his tall boyfriend.
“Love? How are you feeling? I'm so happy to see you!” Cedar smiled. “Happy Valentine's day.”
Elliot couldn't help the way his cheeks warmed and the dorky smile that grew across his face. “I'm f-feeling better now. H-Happy Valentine's Day.”
Cedar’s smile matched Elliot’s eyes, smiling as he saw his boyfriend. “Ready to start the date, Love?”
Elliot nodded. “I've m-missed you.”
Cedar set the box down in Elliot’s room, Dawn and Marlie following him. “Same to you, Love. I'm so happy to see you.” Cedar smiled as he opened his arms.
Elliot smiled back and practically collapsed into his boyfriend's strong arms. He had to stand on his tiptoes in order to kiss Cedar, but it was worth it. He just hoped Cedar wouldn't end up sick after this.
Cedar caught Elliot and kissed back. “I love you so much.”
Elliot's cheeks began to ache with how wide he was smiling. “I love you too.”
Cedar’s smile grew. “Ready to start, my Love?”
Elliot giggled and nodded before dissolving into a coughing fit.
Cedar put an arm around him, rubbing his back until it finished. “Do you need to lay down, Love?”
Elliot nodded. “S-Sorry,” he croaked.
Cedar lifted him gently onto his bed. “No worries. How about starting dinner?”
Elliot nodded. “Th-That sounds good.”
Cedar smiled, opening the containers of food that he had brought. “Take your pick, my Love.”
As Elliot's eyes scanned the multiple containers of food, his cheeks warmed. He couldn't believe that Cedar had done all this for him. “I-I can't decide. Everything looks a-amazing. Did-Did you m-make all this?”
Cedar blushed and nodded. “I packed so many. Maybe a little bit of everything? Is that okay with you? I just made our date sick safe, my Love.”
Tears began to prick the corners of Elliot's eyes at the sound of those words. “I-I just can’t believe you d-did all of this for me.”
Cedar gently brushed his tears away, kissing his forehead. “Of course, Love. I knew it would break your heart to miss out and I wanted to see you. I'd come over even if it meant cuddling and falling asleep.”
Elliot's lower lip started wobbling. “Can-Can I have a kiss?”
Cedar replied by gently kissing him, holding him close.
Elliot melted against him, heart pounding. He couldn't believe the lengths his boyfriend had gone just to make him feel special on their first Valentine's Day together. As he looked up into Cedar's forest-green eyes, he whispered, “I may or may not have just gotten you sick.”
Cedar brushed Elliot’s hair. “That’s okay. Seeing your smile makes it worth the chance.”
Elliot's cheeks warmed and he couldn't help the giggle that escaped his throat. “You try to make me blush on purpose.”
Cedar matched Elliot’s smile, chuckling. “I try to make you smile on purpose, my Love.”
Elliot tried to force himself to stop smiling, but it remained stuck to his face. He couldn't help it. Something about looking into Cedar's eyes made him indescribably happy.
Cedar smiled back, happy to see his love smile. “Ready to start eating?”
Elliot nodded, unable to take his eyes off of his boyfriend.
Cedar kissed Elliot’s forehead, serving multiple dishes for the two of them. “How about some candles? I brought some scented ones.”
Elliot nodded, cheeks beginning to ache from the smile that wouldn't leave his face. “That sounds nice.”
Cedar kissed his head gently. “That’s great. I’ll light them.”
Elliot giggled and watched as Cedar lit the candles. As nice as they were, the sudden aromas initiated a round of several sneezes and a few coughs. He reached for a tissue, his face burning with embarrassment.
Cedar looked at him worriedly, rubbing his back. “Do you need anything, Love?”
“Can-Can you hand me my w-water?” Elliot asked as he tossed the tissue into the trash. He sniffled. “I hate being sick.”
Cedar passed the water to Elliot, rubbing his back gently. “I know, Love. It’ll be over soon. I'm just happy I could get everything ready in time for our date.”
Elliot nodded. “I-I was so worried when you d-didn't come to s-see me at all. I thought m-maybe you were b-breaking up with me.”
Cedar kissed his boyfriend’s cheek softly. “I’m sorry I didn't reach out. I wouldn't break up with you, Love.” He felt guilty, knowing how he hurt Elliot.
Elliot nodded again, blushing. “I-I know. I just o-overthink sometimes, I guess. Marlie helped c-calm me down.”
Cedar smiled at him. “She’s good at that. I'm happy you guys have each other. You're amazing.”
Elliot smiled and took a bite of the dinner Cedar had made. He was still in awe of all his boyfriend had done for him. He'd never felt so loved before.
The smile on Elliot’s face made the whole evening worth it. Cedar smiled back, eyes so full of love and adoration.
As Elliot ate his fill and set down his plate, he said, “So, M-Marlie said you were gonna b-bring the stars to me. Wh-What did she mean?”
Cedar smiled, getting up to open a suitcase and take out a few star projectors. He plugged them into the wall and the ceiling mirrored a starry sky. “This is what I did to bring you the stars, my Love.” He kissed his boyfriend’s head, lips brushing his fluffy hair.
Elliot stared in awe at the starry sky projected across the ceiling. Never, in his wildest dreams could he have imagined a date like this. “This-This is the most incredible thing anyone has ever done for me.”
Cedar held Elliot close. “Anything for you, Love. You are the best boyfriend a man could ask for.”
Tears welled in Elliot’s eyes. “Can I have a kiss?”
Cedar brought his boyfriend into a loving kiss.
Elliot melted against him. He couldn't remember the last time he felt so happy, if he ever had before. He felt safe and comforted and so, so loved. In that moment, nothing else mattered; not his illness, not Christian. If only for one moment, Elliot let himself be happy.

I hope you enjoyed this! This was so much fun to do because I'm absolutely obsessed with Elliot and Cedar's relationship.

Vanilla Ice Cream
When Lily gets ill, who better but her co-Head Boy to take care of her.
Inspired by the songs "Where's My Shoe" and "Vanilla Ice Cream" from the (in my opinion, underrated) musical She Loves Me.
@jilymicrofics Feb challenge Day 3: Care (yes, I know I'm late) (932 words)
Read on A03 (or below)
“Lancelot!” proclaimed a boy with unruly black hair, and the portrait to the Head’s Common Room swung open. The boy did not waste a second to climb through the door and to reach the red-haired (and also red-nosed due to all the sneezing) girl stirring on the sofa, a blanket covering her, with a flask of probably-now cold tea and a huge box of tissues on the table in front of the sofa.
“Oh good, you’re awake” he said “How are you feeling?”
“Bit better, head’s still throbbing a bi-choo!” The boy smiled down at her. He couldn’t believe how adorable she was, even when she was ill; even when her hair went in all directions and was frizzy, even when her nose was as red as said hair, even when despite the red nose, the rest of her skin was almost ghost white and there were dark circles under her eyes; even with all that she was still the most beautiful thing in existence.
He's loved taking care of his very ill friend; he would do it for the rest of their lives if she let him.
The girl looked around to the window outside, and must have noticed the sun was on the verge of setting….
“Oh Merlin! What time is it?!”
“Nearly half past 6. Don’t worry, I’ve brought you up a snack-“
“WHAT! Why didn’t you wake me up before, Ja-choo! I’ve got to go for rounds! I can’t be late for the first Heads-round of the year!” Lily stood up threw off the blanket and started rummaging around the floor, though he swore she swayed a little bit while doing so. “Where’s my shoe?!”
James looked at her bewildered, pushing his glasses further up his nose. “Lily,” he said calmly “Do you honestly think you can go on rounds tonight? You look awful.”
“Of course I ca-choo!”
“You’ve been asleep all afternoon, you’re still in your pyjamas!” Very cute ones he would add too.
“I’m much better now”
“You sure about that?”
“Of course I am! Where have you hidden my shoe?”
“I think you should lie back down Lily-“
“Don’t just stand there, help me find my other shoe!”
“You can barely stand up. You’re still shivering”
“Don’t lie to me James Potter, where’s my shoe?!”
“Evans, you’re hysterical! Sit down!”
“I will not sit down Potter until I have found my God-damn shoe!!”
Right, James thought. That’s it; and before she knew what was happening, James picked her up, almost flinging her onto his right shoulder. Lily struggled wildly against him, kicking ferociously and batting her fists against his back.
“Put me down Potter! RIGHT NOW!!”
“No way Evans. Not until you realise that there is no way you would be well enough to step out of the common room door, let alone go and do your usual rounds all over the school!”
Almost instantly she stopped kicking and almost seemed to sag into his shoulder.
“ACHOO!”
Well that was it then wasn’t it? She knew when to give up. Almost instantly, Lily felt herself being gently dropped from James’ hold back onto the sofa, laying her down. He draped her tartan blanket back over her, and she felt an instant warmth from it. She hadn’t realised just how cold she had been without it draped over her and she left out a huge shiver.
“I’m sorry” she whimpered quietly. “But who’s going to do rounds if not me-choo!”
James laughed. “Don’t you worry about that Flower. Anyway, I’ve got you a present.”
“Have you really? I bet its homework”
“Better than that! I know this is your favourite flavour, so here you are, sorry if it has melted a bit…” And from his robes, James pulled out a tub of vanilla ice cream and a spoon. A little bit of colour returned to her pale face, blushing from her cheeks.
“Where did you get this?”
“Kitchens. One of the House Elves served my parents before we set him free to help Dumbledore here. So I always like to pop down occasionally.”
He handed down the tub of ice cream to Lily, coincidentally brushing her hands. She started looking at the packaging on the ice cream, gingerly turning the tub round and round in her hands.
“When I was little” she said “My mum always used to give me this when I was under the weather. That’s why it’s my favourite” She took the spoon from James hand and took a small scoop of the now very soft ice cream. It was delicious.
“Thank you James”
He beamed down at her.
“Now, you get plenty of rest and eat, you’ll feel better. Oh, and don’t worry about a thing, I’ll take care of everything” He bent down and gave the top of her head a light kiss. “And you’re welcome.” He got up, dusted down his robes turned around but paused.
“James are you ok?”
“Under the weather?”
“What do you mean?”
“What does ‘under the weather’ mean?”
Lily laughed. “It’s just a Muggle saying. Sorry, I shouldn’t blurt them out like that, I forgot you don’t always understa-choo!”
James sent one last smile her way before heading out of the portrait door hole.
Lily reached out for the ice cream again and started eating, and with each mouthful of sweet vanilla, she felt a little better, she could feel it; though by the time she got to sleep, there was something that still bugged her – she still couldn’t work out why her head was tingling just as much as her tongue….. She was simply stunned!

Chapter 6
You stirred awake slowly opening your eyes. You stared at the grey ceiling trying to will yourself to get up. You can hear Na'wi moving around in the living room. You sat up and stretched while simultaneously cracking your back. You sighed in relief. A knock sounded at your door. You groggily got out of bed and walked to the door. When it opened Na'wi stood before you with a box.
“This was outside for you. I got one too.” She said.
You took the box and went to the living room couch to open it. The box was white with a clasp on the side. On the top, there was the republic's symbol. Na'wi brought her package out as well. You unclasped the box. Inside, there was some tissue paper and a note. You read it out loud.
“Medic of the 501st Battalion, your uniform for non-combat work has been updated, re-designed, and custom fit just for you. Please send the old uniforms back in this box. Thank you for your service.”
Na'wi opened her uniform as you were reading.
“Ummm, what is this?!” She held up what looked like a white skin-tight tunic that was long down to the knees. The sides were open and split up to the waistline. It had the medical symbol on the front center of the shirt. She rested the top on the couch and went for the pants. They were also skin-tight but seemed like basic leggings. You looked at the new “uniform” in disbelief.
“Are those even antibacterial?” You took your uniform out and looked at the tag on the inside.
“I mean, it says it is. But, why do you have this weird sexy nurse costume?” You rubbed your eyes, getting frustrated this early in the morning did not feel good.
Na'wi responds. “I guess they need to differentiate us from clone medics on the star cruiser?”
You shook your head and took your uniform to go change. Might as well get used to it now since the old ones go back today. You changed and took a look in the full-length mirror. The slits in the side emphasized your hips and waist. The back covered your butt enough but you knew you'd still attract a lot of attention in it. They probably didn't think about someone with curves wearing this outfit. You walked out of your room, Na'wi had hers on. She looked up at you.
“Damn, girl. We look hot.” She snickered.
“That is not the objective of scrubs. I don't want to look hot, I want to look like I can save a life!” You said pouting.
Na'wi walked up to you and swung her arm around your shoulder.
“Yeah, you can save a life...By riding some dick!” She cackled. You couldn't help but laugh as you pushed her off of you.
Na'wi continued. “Maybe it won't be so bad, come on.” She walked to the front door while you followed.
The two of you were working at different Medbay stations today. You were doing paperwork and taking walk-ins while Na'wi was taking care of the long-term in-patients. You both walked down the corridor until you had to part ways to your respective workplaces for the day. While walking you could feel the looks troopers were giving you. Even under their helmets, you knew they were staring at you. You made it to your Medbay and opened up. At least you were mostly safe from wandering eyes in here. It would take you a little while to get used to this new look. Perhaps it will take the troopers a while to get used to it too.

Work became tedious, file, after, file, you filled out medical clearance info for the troops. Some needed prescriptions, and some needed assistance devices. You were at it for a few hours before finally deciding to take a lunch break. You had an extra freezer available in your office typically used for storing medical things, but you decided it could go to use storing some of your favorite foods from your home planet. You premade bowls of fruits and vegetables, exotic to most but nostalgic to you. As you warmed up the veggies you saw movement outside the open door of your office. You walked into the main Medbay area to see a trooper standing there awkwardly.
“Hello, how can I help you?” You asked him.
“Uh, I was told to come here for a walk-in?” He looked everywhere except at you.
“Ok have a seat.” You motioned him towards one of the beds while you went and got a Holo pad with a patient form on it.
“Here fill this out.” You gave him the Holo pad.
“I'm just gonna check your vitals while you do that ok?” He nodded.
You lifted his shirt and placed your stethoscope on his back to listen to his lungs. Everything sounded ok, you moved to his chest and briefly checked if he consented to you being under there. He nodded and you continued checking him over. After you were done, You went to grab your blood pressure machine. He finished with the forms and handed you the Holo pad. You took it from him and placed it on the side table.
“Tell me what's going on.” You said to the trooper as you took his blood pressure.
“I uh, have a weird pain in my shoulder. Really hurts when I lift my arm.”
You finished taking his blood pressure and put the machine away. You grabbed the datapad and looked it over. He was CT-7842 and relatively new to the 501st.
“What's your name?”
“Axe.” He replied.
“How long ago did the pain start?”
“After my last mission, about a week ago.” He absentmindedly rubbed his right shoulder.
“Alright, I'm gonna examine you and move your arm around a bit.” You scanned his arm and shoulder with your Holo pad before setting it down. The pad doesn't pick up on more minor muscular injuries as well as a broken bone. It showed no fractures or breaks. You grasped his wrist and upper bicep and moved them slowly in different directions to test his range of motion.
“Tell me when anything hurts.”
He stopped you when his arm was straight out in front of him for the most part. The trooper turned his head towards the door.
“Captain.” He said in a stern voice. You looked up to greet the man standing at the doorway.
“Oh, hi Rex, I'll be with you in a moment. Take a seat.”
The captain sat on a bed across from and adjacent to where you and your current patient sat. Turning your attention back to the trooper in front of you.
“Well, since you still have good enough motion in your shoulder, you either pulled a ligament or have a small tear. Either way, it needs rest and some painkillers. I'm writing you a note, no training for five days while you take your prescriptions. After that, you should be good to go. I'll get those ready for you.”
The trooper nodded. You went to grab him the appropriate medications. You placed them in the back and walked back to Trooper. He was already standing ready to go. You handed him the bag and he left quickly not sparing you a second glance. You grabbed your Holopad while making your way over to the Captain. He quickly gazed over your figure as you walked up to him. Rex blushed, remembering the day's previous events.
[Earlier]
Captain Rex was walking down the corridor on the way to the training center. The training area was full of weights, punching bags, and treadmills. Perfect for any soldier. When he got there he discarded his armor into a locker and headed to the mat. Heading over to a punching bag, he started taking out his frustrations on the poor bag. It swung wildly as he delivered combo after combo. He saw someone move towards him out of the corner of his eye but kept going anyways. The punching bag suddenly stopped swinging and took the punches with ease. Fives popped his head out from behind the punching bag, holding it in place as Rex continued his assault.
“Captain.” He said in a cheeky tone.
Rex nodded at him and continued his workout.
“Sooooo, what's got you all pent up?” Fives asks.
Rex gives him a weird look. “What do you mean?”
“Well, we've just noticed how different you've been acting...Around a certain someone.” The arc trooper says.
Rex heard chuckling from a distant corner. He didn't have to look to know which of his troops had come up with this plan. Rex took a step back and looked at Fives annoyed.
“Care to enlighten me?” Says the Captain.
“Well, our little medic sure was getting special treatment from you on the Umbara mission.”
“Even if she was, which she is not, why would it matter?” Rex says.
“It matters because that would mean our uptight Captain has a crush.” Fives says while raising his eyebrows.
Rex rolled his eyes.
Fives continued. “You don't even look at women when we're on leave, let alone take one to your room. So you having a crush? Unheard of.”
Rex stepped up to the punching bag again with a fighting stance. He threw a few punches at it. Fives stood back as he did so.
“I have duties while I'm on leave, more important duties than getting laid. And I am not uptight.” He said the last sentence with venom as he punched.
Fives was not buying the Captain's excuses.
“Look, it's no secret, she's very beautiful. We wouldn't blame you. We want to help you.” Fives said.
“Help me do what?” Rex looked up at him.
“Get some cute medic ass duh.” Fives chuckled.
Rex's face heated and he clenched his jaw.
“You know, that's not necessary. I'm ok.”
“How much you wanna bet...That she likes you back?” Fives grinned.
Rex's eyes narrowed. “I doubt that.”
“She likes hanging around you, Rex. I'm sure she'd love to do that more. Listen, She's working in the lower Medbay today, you need to go get your knee checked out right?” Fives asked.
“How do you know that?” Rex asked accusingly.
“Don't worry about it. Just go down there and ask her to have lunch or something.”
Rex stood there looking into space. Maybe it wasn't a horrible idea, to have a friend that isn't a fellow trooper.
“Alright fine, I'll do it. But, she is only a friend. Nothing more.” Rex insisted.
“Mhmm right. Well, good luck Cap.” Fives walked away towards the troopers at the far end of the training facility.
They giggled as he approached. Rex knew they were plotting something.
[Present]
Now he knows what they were planning. You looked...very good. He cursed himself silently. He knew he had some small feelings coming to the surface for their medic but did not think he was being obvious about it. He felt dirty lusting at you in your new uniform. Fives knew exactly how to push him. Rex realizes why Fives had him come while you were working. You made it to his hospital bed where he was sitting.
“So, what's the problem soldier?” You smiled warmly at him.
Rex's heart stuttered slightly. He thought back to what Fives said earlier. Lots of them think you're beautiful. Considering how nervous the trooper she treated earlier, he was right.
“Um, I get a Bacta treatment for my right knee every few months.” Rex said.
“Ok great, you don't have to fill out anything for that. What's your CT number?”
Rex was slightly surprised she didn't know.
“CT-7567.”
You tapped away on your Holo pad pulling up his file. He gets regular Bacta gel soaks and tape for strained muscles.
“Alright let me grab the stuff really quick. You'll have to take off your blacks so I can get to the area though ok?”
“Yeah, that's ok.” The Captain replied.
Damn you Fives, Rex thought.
Each bed had a privacy curtain that could be pulled around the beds as needed. You got him a medical gown to change into before pulling the curtain around leaving Rex to his thoughts. He quickly got undressed leaving his armor in a neat pile next to the pile. He took off his pants and slipped into the medical gown. The white garment fell just above his knees. Laying down on the bed he took a deep breath. He heard your voice from beyond the curtain.
“Are you ready?”
“...Yeah.” He replied.
You came in with a rolling cart of supplies. You closed the curtain behind you and settled the cart next to the bed. You sanitize your hands before putting gloves on. Grabbing the Bacta gel you squeezed and generous amount onto your fingers before moving to his right side. Rex lifted the gown slightly giving you more access to the area. You applied the Bacta to his knee thickly trying to keep it neat. Rex watched as you worked. He thought back to the battle in Umbara when you got grazed by a blaster shot. He applied Bacta to you in a similar way. He admired how professional you were. Although he was nervous earlier, you eased his mind by not making this small procedure awkward. After a few minutes, you were done. You discarded the glove that was covered in Bacta gel and replaced it with a fresh one. You placed some gauze on top of the Bacta so it won't dry out.
“Alright well, I'll let you soak here for a little while, probably like twenty minutes. Then we'll do some stabilizing tape and you should be good to go.” You gave him a small smile and turned to leave the curtain.
Rex nodded. You went to your office to continue the reports you were doing earlier. You were distracted while working. Rex has some very muscular thighs. Thinking about a patient like that is highly inappropriate, but you couldn't help it. Honestly, the Captain has been on your mind since Umbara. You'd be lying if you said you didn't have a crush on him. You knew you had no chance. Your Captain was married to his career. You had to be kind to yourself, It's ok to have a harmless crush. You just had to make sure it didn't get in the way of your job. You were lost in your thoughts when you realized you'd left him there for thirty minutes. You rushed back to his bunk. and called him before you entered the curtain.
“Rex? Can I come in?”
“Yeah come in.” He said.
You walked opened the curtain and walked in closing it behind you. You got fresh gloves on before removing the gauze and excess Bacta from his knee.
“Sorry about that, I got caught up in work.” You told him.
“I get that, it's alright.”
You silently got the tape ready cutting the appropriate length strips. You applied them over the joint quickly and expertly.
“Alright, you're all set. I'll let you get dressed.” You left the curtain with your supply cart. You walked to your office and placed the cart back with the rest of your supplies. After that, you went back to the bed your first patient was on. Stripping the sheets easily you threw them in the laundry bin in the corner of the room. You got new sheets from your supply closet and put them on the mattress. You heard the curtain open, looking over Rex stood there sheepish.
“Alright, you're good to go Rex.” You told him warmly.
“Right... um.” He didn't look at you directly.
“I was wondering if you'd want to have lunch sometime?” He said.
“Oh! Really?” You were pleasantly surprised.
“Yeah, you know, as friends.”
“Oh...Right friends. Um yeah, I'd love to.” You tried to hide your disappointment.
“Great, how about tomorrow?”
“Sure, tomorrow works but we'd have to eat in here I can't leave my post.” You said.
“That's fine.” He smiled at you.
“See you tomorrow Ruusaan.” He said in a low voice as he turned to leave the Medbay.
“Bye...” You said quietly.
Just friends.

Chapter 11 - The Very Nearly Yule Ball
Summary: Y/N comes down with the flu and has to miss the Yule Ball. George happily takes care of her. Fluff-o-rama.
Warnings: one particularly disgusting mention of snot, one curse word
Start Here:
George knocked on Y/N's dorm room door. "Hey, it's me. I'm back with sick person supplies. Can I come in?"
"Come in," moaned Y/N, weakly. George opened the door to find her, under a mountain of blankets, lying limply at the edge of her bed, trash can and tissues next to her and a half eaten sandwich on her bedside table. Placing the box of supplies down, he sat next to Y/N, rubbing her back.
Y/N noticed George was wearing his flannel pajamas. "You should be getting ready for the ball," she said, once again trying to convince him to go.
"Nope. I should be here, taking care of you." He felt her forehead. "Has your fever spiked again?"
~•~
The day before The Yule Ball
Y/N woke up with a scratchy throat. Thinking she'd just caught a cold on her recent shopping trip, she began taking copius amounts of Pepperup Potion, along with green tea and lemon, hoping to knock it out of her system before the Yule Ball.
When she woke up the next morning sicker than the day before, she knew it was more than a mere cold. Y/N dragged herself to the infirmary, George by her side.
Madam Pomfrey confirmed Y/N's suspicion. "I'm sorry to say Miss Y/L/N, you have the flu." The healer patted her patient's hand and sighed. "No Ball for you tonight, my dear."
Y/N's heart sank and she looked up at George. "I'm so sorry sweetie," she apologized. "I still want you to go. I know you've been looking forward to it."
"Is your fever making you delusional, darling? George felt her forehead. "First of all, you have nothing to apologize for, and second, there's no way I'm going without you. You're the whole reason I've been so excited about it. If you can't go, neither am I.
~•~
While her roommates had the good sense to find other accommodations until she was no longer contagious, George insisted he stay with her 24/7. Any attempts to shoo him away were completely ignored, so Y/N gave up, saving her meager energy for the all-important matter of rolling over to see what it was like breathing out of the other nostril.
"How are you feeling?" George asked.
"Craptastic," she replied, grabbing one of her last few tissues, which her boyfriend promptly replaced with a full box.
"Really? I couldn't tell," he teased. Y/N rolled her eyes, but a small grin appeared on her face, nonetheless.
"I brought you some soup." George continued.
"yay."
"And some more green tea."
"awesome."
Y/N pushed herself up, crimson velvet appearing when the blankets slipped down. George froze. "Baby? Are you wearing your ball gown?"
Y/N answered by kicking off the rest of the covers, revealing a stunning full length princess gown. The butterflies in George's stomach went crazy. Even in her sickly state, she still took his breath away.
"Not that you aren't beautiful, love, but are you sure you don't want to wear something more comfy?"
"I bought this dress to wear tonight and dammit, I'm going to wea--" a coughing fit took hold of Y/N before she could finish. She leaned over the side of the bed to hack up a glob of snot into the trashcan.
"Oooh, now that was sexy," George commented with a cheeky grin. Y/N flopped back down on the bed. "There's plenty more where that came from," she rasped, waggling her eyebrows. He chuckled and took one of her hands in his, giving it a gentle kiss. Y/N blushed, and he proceeded to kiss her cheek, a risky move to take with the sexiliy ill, but one George was willing to make. He tucked her back in and handed her a bag holding several videotapes. "Pick something for us to watch while I put the kettle on."
~•~
Once she ate and was in comfier clothes, Y/N didn't last long, falling asleep halfway through the film. George turned off the movie and let his mind wander as she lay pressed against him, her fevered head resting on his chest.
He wondered how they would've met, if she hadn't chose to spend the year at Hogwarts. He was confident they would have found each other, somehow. People who belong together always do. At least that's what it said in all his mum's romance novels he'd secretly read growing up. And he believed it, now more than ever. Gazing down at her, his heart was full knowing that this, right here, was his future. The two of them together, souls and bodies intertwined, surviving whatever life threw at them.
Y/N shifted a little, sniffling loudly in her sleep. Wrapping his arms tighter around her, he kissed the top of her head. "Sleep well, my little snot goblin," he whispered. "I love you."

Christmas Prank
An: I ran out of time to make this as great as I wanted but I hope you like it. Merry Christmas lovies!
Y/n had been wanting to pull a prank on Harry for a while. It all started when he got her good on his birthday this year.
“Happy birthday, Harry!” She sang as she skipped into their bedroom with fresh chocolate chip pancakes for him.
“It’s not a very happy one, Y/n,” he said.
“What do you mean, my love? You just woke up?”
“We need to talk.”
“What?” She started to panic. She set his food down next to him. “What’s going on? Are you okay?”
“I just don’t think I want you to be my girlfriend anymore.” He sat up and took a sip of the coffee she brought him. He seemed so unbothered.
She had no idea where this was coming from.
“What, why? Since when?” She felt her heart drop.
“I don’t know. I’m just kind of tired of calling you my girlfriend.”
He leaned over and opened his bedside drawer. She couldn’t focus on his movements though as her whole world was falling apart.
“Harry, where is this coming from? Did I do something wrong? I love you, I can't live without you.”
She started sobbing and that caused him to pull her to the bed next to him. She could feel something in his hand on her back but she couldn’t open her eyes.
“Lovie, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have listened to Niall.”
Now she was really confused.
“Huh?” She pulled back from where her head had been buried in his neck to look at him. He was pouting at her.
“He said this would be a funny way to do it and it would catch you off guard.”
He pulled his arm from behind her back, revealing the object in his hand to be a small black velvet box.
“Oh.” She saw where this was going and although she was livid, she was also speechless.
“All I want for my birthday is for you to agree to be my wife, although now I think I’ve ruined my chance.”
He opened it up to reveal the most beautiful ring ever.
“I’d love to be your wife. I’m so glad you don’t want to break up.” She kissed him. “However, this was horribly mean of you so I don’t know when, I don’t know how but I will get you back.”
He smiled and put the ring on her finger.
Despite being so excited to officially be the future Mrs. Styles, she still owed her fiancé some payback.
Harry was on tour until the 13th so he asked her to do the shopping for him and that was his mistake. He gave her a great idea. Y/n bought real presents, the ones Harry had on his list, as well as gag presents for Anne and Gemma. She had called them a couple weeks ago when she was out shopping to let them in on it and get their help. They were excited to be a part of her plan. She had everything wrapped up and in the car ready for their drive to Holmes Chapel and he was none the wiser.
Now, everyone (Anne, Darren, Gemma, Michael, Harry and Y/n) was sat around the living room about to exchange gifts and Y/n was practically buzzing in her seat.
“Baby, do you want to give your mum and sister theirs first?” She leaned her head back to look at her fiancé.
She had been sitting on the floor with Harry on the couch behind her with his legs on either side of her shoulders. Her head was resting on his knee as she peeked up at him.
“Sure. Will you hand them to them?”
She nodded and practically jumped up to give the gifts to her in-laws. She winked at them as she handed them their gifts.
“Harry picked these out for you guys.” She couldn’t contain her smile.
She sat back down, this time on Harry’s late so she could look at his reaction up close.
Anne went first, slowly pulling the tissue out of her bag. Before showing the family what it was she gasped in excitement for dramatic effect.
“You picked this out, Harry? How did you know I’ve always wanted one?”
“I sure did. And you talk about it all the time.”
Y/n snickered and Anne took that as her cue to keep going. She pulled out an intricately laced black teddy. Y/n looked at Harry because his grip on her leg had tightened. His eyes were blown wide and his cheeks were starting to pink.
“I love it. Thank you both very much.”
“I- I-“ He stumbled on words.
It was priceless, Y/n thought.
“Gemma, you go next,” she said. Her arms, which were draped around her fiancé, pulled him closer in an attempt to seem unbothered.
“Darling, what happened to what was on the list?” Harry finally whispered in her ear.
“I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean.” She looked at him and brushed his hair back. Then, she turned to her future sister-in-law and said, “go on Gem.”
Gemma didn’t drag it out as her mother did. In fact she took a completely different approach overall. Pulling out a red laced teddy she looked at her brother with a horrified expression.
“Harry! How do you think these are appropriate gifts for your family?”
“I- I don’t. I don’t know what’s happening.” He looked at Y/n as if waiting for an explanation.
“Please darling, you and I both know that’s not true. You made the list and I did the shopping.”
Was this gaslighting? Maybe she was taking it too far but she was getting a kick out of it.
His mouth opened and closed a few times, pure shock on his face. He looked around the room a few times.
After Y/n felt she’d had enough she busted out laughing. Anne and Gemma followed her.
“Baby, I’m sorry. But I never got over your proposal so I wanted to get you back. The real presents are still under the tree.” She pulled him close and kissed the side of his head.
“You should have seen your face, Harry,” Gemma said, a huge smile on her face.
“What? You guys were all in on this?” Harry was shaking his head and rubbing his eyes as if it was some kind of dream.
“Sorry, love but your missus called me and Gem a few weeks ago and told us about how she wanted to get you back and the idea seemed really fun. You seriously owe her a new proposal.”
Harry seemed to have gotten over it as his hands snaked around Y/n’s waist and pulled her close.
“You’re so mean.” It was mumbled into her neck but everyone heard.
“So are you.” She laughed. “That’s why we fit.”
He pulled his face from her neck and smiled.
“I guess I do owe you a do over.”
He gave her a soft quick peck on the lips.
“Alright enough. You guys can open your real gifts now. Thank you for playing along.”
The rest of the day was spent opening gifts, drinking hot chocolate and talking about what happened this year and what’s to come in the new year and Y/n was sure she’d never been happier.

The Best Present
Pairings: Ethan Ramsey x Victoria Clarke
Word Count: 879
Summary: Victoria and Ethan exchange Christmas presents
Rating: Teen
Category: Fluff
Tumblr media
Victoria brought in hers and Ethan’s stockings from their bedroom, both of them in their pyjamas after a delicious Christmas dinner.
Neither regretted the decision to work today, it meant that those who had young children could spend the day with them. Ethan and Victoria hoped that one Christmas, that would be the case for them.
Maybe this time next year, they would have a child of their own to celebrate with.
“Here you go. Now fair warning, you don’t have to like anything I bought. I’ve prepared myself for your eye rolling.” Victoria laughed as she sat down beside Ethan on the couch and handed him his stocking.
“You know I’ll love anything from you. You’re my wife after all.” Ethan laughed pressing a kiss to Victoria’s cheek. He picked up his first present and opened it.
“You’re going to hate me for this one.” Victoria laughed.
Ethan held up the item. “Socks. I knew I should never have told you my worst Christmas present.” He laughed.
“At least these aren’t eccentric in colour.” Victoria said.
“That’s one thing. And because they’re from you, I love them.” Ethan pulled Victoria into his arms. “Thank you.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead.
“You always need to keep your feet warm.” Victoria smiled.
“Very true. Open one of yours.”
Victoria picked up one present, it was soft. She opened it and laughed. “Socks as well?”
“So you don’t put your cold feet on me when we’re in bed.”
“You secretly love it don’t you.” Victoria giggled.
“Absolutely not. You’re so annoying when you do that.” Ethan rolled his eyes.
“Whatever, you still love me.”
“Of course.” Ethan laughed.
The couple continued to open their stocking presents, Ethan had gotten a bottle of scotch and medical diaries from doctors in the field. For Victoria, Ethan had stuck with what he knew she loved, chocolate and alcohol. He had even found her favourite chocolate from the UK.
“Okay, now it’s time for your main present. I wasn’t sure what to get you, so I thought I’d broaden my horizons a bit. I hope you like it.” Victoria said.
She got up and picked up an envelope from the kitchen counter, handing it to Ethan as she sat back down.
Ethan unsealed the envelope and pulled out what was inside. He unfolded the piece of paper to reveal a picture of a beach.
“Where’s this?” Ethan asked.
“Madison in Connecticut. A week in June, far away from the hospital for just the two of us. I went through so many options and thought staying on the East Coast would be the best.”
“This is great. And some alone time with my wife is perfect.” Ethan grinned as he pressed a kiss to Victoria’s cheek.
“This is the hotel.” Victoria grabbed her laptop and found the website. “I thought we might as well stay in luxury so I went with the Hilton. We have our own balcony overlooking the beach.”
“They could’ve chosen better carpet.”
“Is that really your only observation?” Victoria rolled her eyes.
“It’s a decent one. I hate patterned floors.” Ethan shrugged.
“Well hopefully you won’t be looking at the art in the room.”
“No, I’ll be looking at the art on the bed.” Ethan grinned as he pressed heated kisses to Victoria’s neck.
“Good save Mr Ramsey.” Victoria giggled.
“Thank you Mrs Ramsey. And thank you for this present. I can’t wait for some alone time with you.” Ethan pulled her into a hug.
“Me too.” Victoria pressed a quick kiss to his lips.
“Time for your present now. And I’m proud of myself for this so I hope you like it.” Ethan smiled as he handed Victoria a small bag.
Victoria took out the tissue paper and picked up a small box. She opened it and gasped. “A bracelet? Ethan it’s beautiful.”
“That’s not all. There should be another box in the bag.” Ethan replied.
Victoria looked inside and Ethan was right. A much smaller box sat at the bottom, Victoria took it out and opened it. It was a charm, in the shape of a wedding shoe.
“You can add new charms every time we hit a new milestone. I thought the perfect one to start with was a wedding shoe to represent our marriage.” Ethan smiled.
“I love it. Thank you so much.” Victoria replied pulling Ethan in for a hug. “Will you help me put it on?”
“Of course.” Ethan took the charm and the bracelet and carefully attached the two together.
“How comes there’s a penny there as well?” Victoria asked, having just noticed the small item in the box.
“I got the charm from a shop in the UK. I thought the penny was a nice touch.” Ethan smiled.
Victoria looked at the bracelet on her wrist, a big smile on her face. “I love it. And I love you. Thank you for the best Christmas ever.”
“The first of many. I love you Mrs Ramsey.” Ethan smiled.
“I love you too Mr Ramsey.” Victoria smiled as she attached her lips to his.
The couple basked in each others company, kissing as snow began to fall outside their window.
Their first Christmas was perfect, and going forward so would every Christmas that followed.

can you write some fluffy ronance? maybe nancy is sick and robin takes care of her ?
Aw yes, I love this!!🥺
Precious Angel
Robin x Nancy fluff
It’s January, which means it’s cold and flu season. Robin gets a call close to 10:00am that morning, waking here up. She sleepily answers the phone and mumbles, “Hello?”, then she hears a sneeze on the other line. Nancy says, “Hi, can you come over? I don’t feel good and I just- I want you here.” Robin could hear how congested Nancy was and immediately said, “Of course, I’ll be over soon, my love.” Nancy responded, “Thank you, baby” and Robin said, “Anything for you, Nance.” After she hung up the phone, she got dressed and biked to the store to pick up a few things to help Nancy feel better. She bought a couple cans of chicken noddle soup, cherry flavored cough drops, two boxes of tissues, Nancy’s favorite candy, and some tea that specialized in helping colds. She saw a cute teddy bear before she checked out and grabbed that for her too. After she checked out, she grabbed her bike from outside and pedaled her way to Nancy’s house. When she arrived, Karen and Ted’s cars weren’t in the driveway, meaning they were both at work. Robin set her bike up against the Wheeler’s garage, then grabbed the bag from the store and went to their front door. She knocked three times, then entered and said, “Nance, I’m here.” She heard some coughing from upstairs and made her way to Nancy’s room. When she opened the door, her eyes softened and she said, “Aw baby.” Nancy was pale, her nose was red, her eyes were puffy, and she was wrapped in what looked like 20 blankets. Robin walked over to her and put the back of her hand on Nancy’s forehead. She retracted her hand and said, “Aw my poor baby. I think you have a fever, my love.” Nancy was shivering, even though she was wrapped in all the blankets and she mumbled, “So cold, Rob.” Robin kissed her hot forehead and said, “I know baby. I know. I brought you some stuff, maybe it’ll help you feel a little better!” Nancy was able to show a small smile and she said, “Thank you, baby. Show me what you got me.” Excitedly, Robin grabbed the bag and said “Well, I got the essentials. I got you, chicken noodle soup, cherry flavored cough drops, tissues, your favorite candy, and a special tea that’s supposed to help with colds. I also got you something else, are you ready?” Nancy smiled and hummed, “Mhmmm”, then Robin pulled the teddy bear out from behind her back. She said, “I got you this teddy bear! Isn’t it cute!” Nancy was able to put a big smile on her face and said, “You’re so cute, I love you.” Robin smiled and said, “I love you too, Nance.” Nancy reached her hands out and did grabbing motions, wanting Robin to come cuddle with her.
Before Robin cuddled with Nancy, she wanted to make sure she was hydrated and fed. Robin said, “Baby, have you eaten today?” and Nancy sneezed, then shook her head no. Nancy said, while shivering, “Not- Not hungry, just c- c- cold.” Robin softened her eyes and tone, then said, “I know baby, but you need to eat just a little bit, okay. You stay here and I’ll be back up soon with some soup, does that sound okay, my love?” Nancy whined and said, “Want you here. Want you with me.” Robin said, “I know, my love. I’ll be back so soon though, I promise. After you eat and drink some water, then we can cuddle all you want. Okay, Nance?” She grumbled and said, “Okay, fine.” Robin then gave her a kiss on the forehead, grabbed a can of soup, and made her way to the kitchen. She put the soup in a bowl, then heated it up in the microwave. While she was waiting, she found a large glass and filled it with water. The microwave beeped and Robin checked to make sure the soup was at just the right temperature. She heated it up perfectly, grabbed a spoon, and made her way back upstairs to Nancy’s room. When she walked back into her room, Nancy pouted and said, “You took too long. I missed you.” Robin smiled and said, “You’re cute when you’re sick. Did you know that?” Nancy grumbled, but Robin made it all better when she planted a kiss on her forehead. Then she said, “Okay baby, let’s get some food and water in that cute little body of yours. Okay?” Nancy nodded and Robin said, “If you sit up, I can feed you the soup, so you don’t have to move out of your cocoon.” They both giggled at Robin’s comment, which made Nancy cough. Robin softened her eyes at her suffering girlfriend, as a shivering and weak Nancy started to sit up. Nancy said, “Please. Don’t want to leave cocoon” and Robin replied, “Of course, Nance. Anything for you, my love.” She grabbed the bowl of soup and the spoon, then made airplane noises as she moved the spoon to Nancy’s mouth. They both started laughing, which made Nancy go into a coughing fit. Robin said, “I’m sorry for making you cough” and Nancy said, “Don’t apologize. You making me laugh and taking care of me makes me feel like I’m not even sick.” They both smiled and then Robin continued feeding Nancy the chicken noodle soup. Nancy drank her entire glass of water and ate half her bowl of soup, before she was too full. When she finished, Robin went back downstairs, refilled her water and washed the soup bowl. She returned to Nancy’s room about five minutes later and as soon as she was in Nancy’s vision, she saw her girlfriend making grabbing hands. Nancy said, “Cuddles now please” and Robin just smiled. She placed the glass of water on the nightstand, then climbed into Nancy’s bed. Robin laid flat and Nancy curled up into her, then hummed because she finally got what she’s wanted for hours. She said, “Thank you for taking care of me, Rob.” Robin kissed the top of her head and said, “I’ll take care of you for the rest of my life, Nancy Wheeler. Especially, when you act so cute and adorable like this. My precious angel.” Nancy hummed and smiled, then nuzzled impossibly closer into Robin’s chest. She mumbled, “I’m alright with that”, then she rolled over quickly to sneeze.
When Nancy rolled back over and got into the same position that she was in before, she said, “Rob?” Robin hummed a, “Mhmm” and Nancy asked, “Can you- Can you call me angel more? I really like it. I like being your angel.” Robin smiled, then kissed the top of her head and said, “Of course, Nance. My beautiful, sweet, angel.” Nancy hummed and Robin looked down at her peaceful girlfriend, who’s eyes were fighting to stay open. She said, “Baby, you should get some rest. You can fall asleep, it’s okay.” Nancy mumbled a sleepy, “I love you” and Robin replied, “I love you too, my precious angel.” Robin started running her fingers through Nancy’s hair, not caring that it was sweaty from her fever. All Robin cared about in this moment, was helping and nurturing Nancy, whatever she wanted, she’d do for her. She watched as her girlfriend fell into a heavy sleep, exhausted from being up all night coughing and sneezing. She kissed the top of her head and said, “Sweet dreams, my pretty angel.” After a couple hours, Nancy woke up and quickly ripped all the blankets off of her. Robin looked at her confused and Nancy had tears in her eyes. She said, “Hey, my love, what’s wrong? What’s wrong sweetheart?” Tears started rolling down her cheeks and she said, “Too hot, but too cold. Just frustrated.” Robin said, “Aw angel, come here” and Nancy immediately curled up into her girlfriend’s arms. She cried for a couple minutes, wrapped in her girlfriend’s embrace and when her crying stopped, she looked up at Robin. Then she said, “Rob, can you do me a favor?” and Robin said, “Yeah, Nance. What do you need?” Nancy said, “I want to take a bath, but too weak. Need help”, then she had another coughing fit. Robin said, “Okay, sweetheart. Let’s get your fever down, then afterwards I’ll make you some tea” and then she reached for the cough drops she bought. She gave Nancy one and said, “Here baby, these should help with your cough.” Nancy mumbled, “Thank you”, then popped the cough drop in her mouth. Robin said, “I’m going to go start running your bath, angel. I’ll be back in a couple minutes.” Nancy nodded and Robin got up, then walked to the bathroom. She started filling the bathtub with lukewarm water and when it was three quarters of the way full, turned off the water, then returned to Nancy’s room. Nancy was sitting up with her knees held to her chest and Robin said, “Your bath awaits you, m’lady.” Both girls giggled and Nancy slowly got up, then walked to her bathroom with Robin holding her for support. Robin helped Nancy get undressed and sat on the bathroom floor, holding Nancy’s hand while she took her bath. When she saw Nancy start to shiver, she turned the hot water on for 30 seconds or so, making sure the water went back to being lukewarm. Robin asked, “Baby, do you want me to wash your hair for you?” Nancy looked at her with soft eyes and said, “If you- If you don’t mind.” Robin smiled and said, “Of course I will, sweet angel.” She got up from the bathroom floor, then grabbed the shower head from its holder and Nancy’s shampoo and conditioner. Next, she turned the water onto a lukewarm temperature, then started moving the shower head through her hair. She carefully and gently washed Nancy’s hair, making sure she didn’t tangle her hair or pull on it. When she was done, Nancy looked at her with those soft eyes that made Robin’s heart skip a beat and her brain feel like mush. She said, “Thank you for being so gentle and caring, baby.” Robin smiled and said, “Of course, sweetheart. Now let’s get you out of that bathtub and dry you off, hmmm?” Nancy nodded and Robin helped her out of the tub, then handed her two towels. She wrapped one around her body and the other she wrapped her hair in.
Once Nancy was mostly dry, her and Robin returned to her bedroom. She sat on the bed and said, “Rob, can you pick out clothes for me, please?” Robin nodded, then picked out a pair of underwear, a t-shirt, and a thin pair of pajama pants. Nancy was too weak to get dressed by herself, so Robin helped her. After she was dressed, Robin went and made Nancy her tea, as promised. While she was downstairs, she grabbed the movie, The Breakfast Club, and carried that upstairs with her. She popped it into the tape player, then handed Nancy her tea. The two of them watched the movie and ate the candy Robin got at the store. Nancy was cuddled into Robin chest and she said, “I love you and I’m really grateful to have you taking care of me.” Robin smiled and replied, “I love you and I’ll do it forever, sweet angel. I’ll stay and take care of you for the next couple days too. If you want me to, of course.” Nancy said, “Mhmm, please do, Rob.” Robin replied back, “Okay, sweetheart”, then started peppering Nancy’s face with kisses. She started to giggle, feeling so loved and cared for by her girlfriend. Soon, Nancy fell asleep on Robin’s chest again, she was just too weak and exhausted to stay awake. When Robin noticed, she smiled and said, “My precious angel”, then kissed the top of her head. She ran her fingers through her hair and thought to herself, “I wouldn’t mind doing this forever”, then fell asleep with a smile on her face.
Hope you liked this!!😊💖

Love Is Not Over
Tumblr media
✏️Taehyung x OFC ✏️Friends to Lover AU 🛑 Rated 18+ 📖WC:1613 ⚠️Mentally abusive and controlling ex, stalking, mention of anxiety cheating, COVID, drinking, drunk hookup, masturbation, oral, accidental marriage, accidental pregnancy⚠️
Mae always wanted to go to South Korea and visit all the places her Aunt and Uncle used to tell her stories about. So after catching her fiancè cheating, she did just that. Her two month trip turned into a permanent stay thanks to covid lockdown. A friendly neighbor turned best friend, who just so happened to be part of the biggest music group in the world. A drunken night that changed her life forever.
Chapter 24
Mae rolled over and looked at the empty spot in the bed beside her. Taehyung’s spot. It was still warm so he hadn’t been out of bed long. She could hear the soft hum of his voice echoing down the hallway as she laid there thinking about last night.
Was it real? Was it a dream? Had she really been that brave?
The sound of Jungkook yelling at her to “get her ass out of bed” brought her out of her thoughts. The moment she quickly threw the covers to the side and stood up, Mae knew that last night hadn’t been a dream. Her hips hurt, they were sore from being spread wide as she attempted to buck against Taehyung’s hold.
Mae winced and stretched, praying nobody came in as she hurried around the bed to use the restroom. The last thing she needed was someone asking her why she was randomly doing lunges and squats.
“It’s about damn time!” Jungkook teased when she finally came out of the room.
“Well excuse me for sleeping,” Mae sassed back.
“I figured you didn’t sleep much because of the storms,” he said before turning to grab a box from the couch. “So I decided to come after the gym instead of before.”
“Yep, the storm kept me up pretty late.” Taehyung snorted and looked at his feet, trying to hide the smile on his face.
“So what’s in the box?” she asked, hoping Jungkook didn’t hear or see him.
“I don’t know. Veronica just told me to bring it to you.” he handed her the box and leaned in a little closer. “If we are being honest, she kind of scares me. So I didn’t want to ask,” he whispered.
“Yeah, she scares me too,” she laughed, grabbing the box from him and placing it on the dining room table, before joining them back in the living room.
“Well,” Jungkook clapped his hands together and rocked on his heels, “Now that I’ve safely delivered your package and returned the item Tae left in my car.” He looked over Mae’s shoulder and smiled at his friend who was getting up from the couch, “I shall go home and shower.”
Mae gave Jungkook a hug goodbye, told him thank you and then went back to the taped box while Taehyung walked him out.
She smiled while she read the note from Veronica, stating what was inside. After placing it on the table she removed the tissue paper. The first layer was random snacks she’d asked her to buy and send to Korea.
“Did she just send you a bunch of food?” Taehyung asked, placing his chin on her shoulder and watched as she removed the food.
“No, there’s clothing,” she pointed out once the bags of the final layer came into view. “She said in the note some of them were for me and some were for you.”
“Aw, that’s nice of her. I can’t wait to find out later what she sent.”
Mae leaned away to get a better look at him. “Why later?”
“Because, we need to talk about last night.” He watched as her cheeks began to redden and she went back to unpacking the box. He knew she’d be anxious to bring up the conversation on her own, so he wanted to get it out of the way quickly, to ease her mind some.
“There’s nothing-” she cleared her throat trying to regain control over her shaky voice. “There’s nothing to talk about.”
Mae’s eyes turned to her wrist when she felt Taehyung grab ahold of it, then used his other hand to push the package away. Before she could blink he had spun her around and sat her on the table, a move she found a little frightening but also arousing at the same time.
“Don’t do that, Mae,” he said in a gentle, yet firm voice. “I’ve known you long enough to know how your brain works. If we don’t talk about it now it will just rattle around in there driving you crazy.”
Mae let out a defeated sigh. “Fine,” she slouched and looked at the space between them. It would make the subject a lot easier to talk about.
“What happened to all that confidence you had last night?” Taehyung smiled, looking at the top of her head.
“It went away when the sun came out. It was a lot easier being daring when I can hardly see you.” Mae couldn’t help the smile that formed at the sound of Taehyung’s soft laugh. She knew it was a stupid answer, but it was true in a way. The low lighting made her feel less timid. Almost as if she could get away with anything.
“Mae,” Taehyung hooked his index finger under her chin and lifted it. “You don’t need to hide anything from me. What I told you last night was true, I’m not going anywhere.”
“What about everything you said in your live?” She wanted to know if his answer was still the same now that he was fully awake.
Taehyung’s brows scrunched as he thought. “Which part?”
Mae looked over his shoulder, unable to make eye contact. “The part where you said you loved me.”
He moved his head so that he could look her in the eyes again. “You asked me that the other night, before I fell asleep.” Taehyung smiled, vividly remembering the conversation. “Didn’t I answer you then or was it a dream?”
“You did, but I wasn’t sure if you were aware of what you said.”
“Do you remember what I told you at the Jazz club in Jeju?” he smiled, slowly running his fingers across her jaw line to her neck, watching the way her body reacted to him as they recalled their conversation. “I told you love isn’t over for you and I meant it. The moment I opened the door to Jimin’s apartment and saw you standing there, I knew I was a goner. You aren’t afraid to call me out on my bullshit, you see me as Kim Taehyung and not V of BTS. When you weren’t stealing glances of me, I was stealing glances of you. I looked forward to us hanging out together, I knew you didn’t want any kind of relationship so I took what you were willing to give me. I didn’t take you to the airport because I lost rock, paper, scissors. I took you because I wanted to. When Jimin mentioned surprising you in Jeju I had my bags ready faster than he could buy tickets. When we found ourselves accidentally married, I knew this was my chance to finally show you how I felt and help you realize what a strong woman you really are. I love you, Mae. I wish for nothing more than to be by your side. You jump, I jump. Or in the case of last night you cum, I cum.”
Mae snorted out a laugh at his attempt to lighten the mood. “You're such an ass.”
“But I’m your ass.” Taehyung replied with a teasing smile. “Sorry, I could see the tears and I didn’t want to see you cry.”
“I’m not…” her protest was cut short when she felt the dampness of her cheeks. “Wait, where are you going? You can’t confess your love for me then run away!” Mae watched him dig through one of the drawers in the tv stand while she wiped the moisture from her face.
“I hadn’t planned to give it to you so soon and was going to do something romantic when I did.” he said quickly, grabbing something from the drawer and hiding it behind his back. “The day after you left LA, I called a jeweler that I know and had this made,” he continued, walking back into the dining room. “I, um, I got your size from D and made sure you’d like it before I finalized anything.” Taehyung stood in front of her and stuck out his hand, revealing a small velvet box. “I know our marriage wasn’t planned. But I’m all in, Mae. I really want this to work. I want you by my side as my partner. As my equal.”
Mae stopped breathing when Taehyung opened the box. Inside was the most beautiful ring she’d ever seen. It was white gold, with intricate designs and a heart shaped diamond. A ring that she would proudly wear on her finger.
Tumblr media
“You’re making me a little nervous here, Mae. Say something, please,” Taehyung said, nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
For the first time since he opened the box, Mae looked up at the man standing in front of her. The man whom she fought her feelings for, for the past two years. The man who she drunkenly married. The man who’d haunted her dreams in a good way. The man who was letting her be her own person. The man who no matter how many times she tried to push him away, kept coming back. The man who she was very much in love with.
Without saying a word, Mae wrapped her arms and legs around Taehyung. Pulling him as close to her as she could and kissed him. She didn’t trust her words to say how she really felt.  So she kissed him with every ounce of love and passion she could muster.
She was so engulfed in the feeling of him, she hadn’t realized he’d removed her from the table until she felt the soft bedding on her backside. When a cool breeze replaced the warmth of his body, Mae opened her eyes to see him breathing heavily as he sat back on his heels.
Taehyung smiled at the pout she was giving him, fell forward on his hands and lowered himself just enough to rub his nose and lips across her jaw and neck. “We aren’t going any further until you say something, Mae,” he spoke softly. “Use your words or this ends here.”
“You’re such a pain in my ass,” she said jokingly and then tightened her legs around his waist when she felt him start to move away.
“I mean it, Mae. This relationship can’t continue if you aren’t going to be open with me. Say whatever is on your mind right now.”
“Everything that’s on my mind? Are you sure?”
“Yes, I want to know everything. No more hiding. No more being afraid.”
Mae closed her eyes, took a deep breath and let her body take in everything she was feeling. “God you smell good,” she shivered when a puff of warm breath fanned her neck as he laughed. “And you feel good too. Just having you close to me makes my body feel things that I didn’t even know were possible.”
“You're rambling, Mae.”
“You said to tell you whatever's on my mind.” She squealed with laughter, when she felt his teeth bite the crook of her neck. “Okay, okay. I’ll stop rambling. Just stop biting. Although we might want to revisit it later,” she said, earning a growl of agreement from Taehyung. Mae took another deep breath to concentrate while he started to gently kiss her neck again. “I want to be with you, Tae. In every way possible. I’m tired of fighting my feelings for you. I love you Taehyung and that scares the shit out of me, mainly because up until recently I thought I knew what love felt like. But every second I’m with you, every time I hear your voice or feel you. I realize that wasn’t really love.” Taehyung stopped kissing her neck and looked into the eyes of the woman laying under him. “Thank you, Tae. Thank you for not giving up and being patient with me. I can pretend that my feelings haven’t been there all along, but we both know, hell even our friends and family know that's a lie. You were right, Tae. Love is not over for me, because it didn’t begin until you came along.”
Taehyung leaned closer and whispered on her lips, “See, wife. That wasn’t so bad, was it?” before locking his lips with hers.
┗━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┛
Mae stared out the window and nervously fidgeted with the ring on her left hand. A smile formed on her lips as she thought about that day from nearly a year ago. The day Taehyung gave her the ring. The day they both confessed their true feelings for each other. The day they made love for the first time.
A lot has changed since then. Wander was doing better than expected for a store that’s been open for only 5 months and due to the high demand they’d be opening more stores within the next year or two. The guys were officially taking a step back from group activities. Their schedules, although still hectic, were a little more relaxed as they focused on their solo projects.
Mae closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, filling her lungs with the fresh ocean air. They were back in Jeju. Today was her and Tae’s one year drunken wedding anniversary and to celebrate the group rented out the same house where it all began.
The shriek of Veronica being tossed in the pool brought Mae back to reality and the phone call she’d just hung up from. Things in her life seemed to never go as planned any more. Not since she and Taehyung went to the jazz club. Just when she thought things became somewhat normal, something always came along and made it interesting.
She looked away from her friends in the pool when she felt a pair of eyes on her. The eyes in question belonging to her husband. The second their eyes met his smile fell, he could tell something was wrong. Taehyung excused himself from the conversation he was having with Jin and Namjoon, before walking towards the patio doors that lead to the room she was in.
“What’s wrong, Mae?” he asked with concern written all over his face.
“Nothing,” she answered with a small smile.
“Your eyes are telling a different story.” His voice was stern as he closed the distance. “Who was on the phone?”
“It was nothing. It can wait until we are back home,” she said, trying to keep a straight face. She was going to tell him, but at the moment she was enjoying watching him squirm. He was part the reason they were now in this predicament after all.
“Neither one of us are leaving this room until you tell me what's going on,” he stated firmly before sitting on the foot of the bed.
“Tae, it’s not that big of a deal,” she said, kneeling in front of him. “Trust me. It can wait until we get back home.”
Taehyung brought up his hand and cupped her cheek. “Wife, you know the agreement and right now, I’m using my ‘what’s inside Mae’s brain’ card. So spill.”
Mae rolled her eyes and sighed before joining him on the bed. “Fine, but I’m warning you it’s going to change some things.”
“Love, whatever it is, we'll get through it,” he said, taking one of her hands in his.
“Okay, but I tried to warn you.” Mae lowered her head to hide the smile that was threatening to show and took a deep breath to calm her excitement. “You remember five months ago after everyone left the Grand Opening at Wander?”
“Oh yes. I remember that night very well.” She didn’t have to look at him to know he had a cocky grin on his face. “The night we christened your new office and the supply room.” Taehyung suddenly froze beside her as the memories flooded him. “Oh fuck! Please tell me nobody saw us. How the hell did nobody on my team hear about this?” Mae grabbed him, stopping his panicked hands from reaching in his pocket from his phone.
“Tae, calm down. Nobody saw us.”
“Then what the hell happened?”
“Drunken Mae and Tae is what happened.” Mae laughed as he repeated her words, trying to decipher what they meant. “It wasn’t the stress,” she added, hoping he’d catch on.
“Drunken Mae and Tae. It wasn’t the stress,” he whispered over and over until it finally hit him. Taehyung’s eyes widened and he turned to look at his wife who was now smiling beside him. “No? What? No? You’re not! We aren’t?”
“Yes, Tae. We are.” Mae laughed at the many faces he was making. “In about four months,” she added, placing her hand on her stomach. The irregular periods and weight she’d gain she’d assumed was stress, but when she couldn’t keep anything down last week she thought she’d visit the doctors just in case. She’d taken a couple of tests but they came back negative. So she decided to go to the  doctor and get some blood work done.
“I need to call my parents.” Taehyung stood up and pulled his phone from his pocket, but froze before hitting the call button. “Appa is going to be upset with us. He’s going to be happy about the baby. But he’s going to be upset that we were drunk when it happened.”
“I don’t think he needs to know all the details, Tae.” Mae laughed, standing up and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Taehyung wrapped an arm around her waist, stopping her from leaving his side. “Thank you, Mae. Thank you for once again making me the happiest man in the world,” he whispered in her ear before placing a kiss on her lips. “I love you, Mae.”
An uncontrollable smile spread across her face as she looked into the eyes of her husband. “I love you too, Tae.”
Taehyung hugged her close and kissed her forehead. “I can’t believe we are going to be parents.”
“You’re going to be what?” Veronica’s loud voice caused the couple to jump apart and look at the woman standing just outside the french doors. “Did you just say what I think you just said?”
“I…umm…I guess that depends on what you heard?”
The shorter woman leaned into the doorway a little and whispered. “You're pregnant?” Veronica’s eyes widened when Mae smiled and nodded. “Oh my god!” she said, stepping back. “Guys! She finally did it! She finally admitted to fucking him! Yoongi, start pouring the drinks! We are going to be aunts and uncles!”
Taehyung and Mae both laughed as they looked at their friends through the large window. Each of their faces showed a mixture of shock and excitement. “Well, she just made our jobs a lot easier.” Mae said in amusement.
“Do you think she’ll call Appa for me?”
Mae laughed and kissed him on the cheek before grabbing his hand and guiding him to the door. “No can do, Kim Taehyung. You’re the one that started the office sex and now you must pay the price.”
“You’re no fun.”

@snzfeels I’m your secret santa for @softsnzstuff ‘s exchange! When I saw you list FM//AB on your possible fandoms I jumped at the chance to write some Ro//yai. So, here’s some sick, sneezing colonel with a very concerned lieutenant
Protection from the Rain
The sound of a sniffle.
It was quiet, so much so in fact that Riza wasn’t completely sure she hadn’t just imagined it. The rain was pouring down outside so much anyway that it muffled everything else.
The early winter rain was icy and cold, falling in drops large enough to chill your bones in just a few seconds. Riza remembered how, even with an umbrella, the rain had filled her with a lonely melancholy on the way to work.
Perhaps weather like this was bound to gray anyone’s mood. No one more so, of course, than the Flame Alchemist himself.
The colonel had been working silently at his desk all morning, actually doing his paperwork for once. In fact, she’d barely heard any complaints from him. If she didn’t know any better, she’d say that he was trying to keep quiet about something—
Another sniffle.
Riza had definitely heard that one. She looked back towards the colonel, who was continuing to write as if nothing had happened.
It seemed he’d caught her staring. “Is something the matter, Lieutenant?” he asked, keeping his eyes down on his desk. Ah, and it seemed his voice had cracked down half an octave as well.
“Nothing, sir.” The moment had nearly passed when she couldn’t resist adding, “It seems you forgot my reminder to wear a coat yesterday, is all.”
Roy frowned and at last looked up at her. “That seems a bit out of line. I don’t see what that has to do with anything. Now, why don’t you go along and follow my example and get your own work done.” He grew an obnoxious grin. “Now, I know you admire me and everything, but really there’s nothing to—HeehhSHHUH!”
And there it was. That was all the confirmation Riza needed. She didn’t attempt to hide a playful smile of her own as she picked up her pen. “Bless you,” she said.
Pouting (he would have insisted it was just a frown, but Riza knew otherwise), Roy sniffled again and cleared his throat. It seemed now that his secret was out, he could stop the stoic, diligent facade, and reclaim his place as Amestris’s highest-ranking manchild.
They went back to their work, with Riza now also keeping an eye on him. She did her own assignments too, of course, as unlike some people (for example Roy Mustang), she was excellent at multitasking. The room returned to the muted sound of heavy rain, with not another word spoken between them, save for sneezes and bless yous.
Eventually, after more sniffles, it seemed Roy could no longer deny to himself that he needed a tissue. He got up from his desk to cross the long walk of shame over to the tissue box by the wall, refusing to look towards Riza on the way over.
After blowing his nose, he returned to his desk as if nothing had happened. However, several more times he rose to his feet like this, until eventually he gave in and brought the entire box back with him.
By this time it was nearly lunch, so they each put down their work and made their way to the mess hall. Upon arriving, though, they went their separate ways. As Roy stood in line to get food, he watched with confusion as Riza went to the kitchen to speak to someone on duty.
As Riza took a seat at their table a few minutes later, she set down a cup of herbal tea next to the colonel’s plate. It had a pleasant-smelling, nutty aroma, which brought back memories of cozy fireplaces. It also wasn’t something listed on the usual menu, so it was clear it had been specifically asked for.
“Really, Lieutenant, I’m fine,” Roy huffed.
“The stuffiness of your voice says otherwise. Now, drink your tea.”
A fellow soldier seated next to them laughed. “It seems you two have this down to a science!”
Riza nodded as she took her own seat, and began cutting her chicken. “We’ve had plenty of practice, with him catching a cold every time it rains.”
“It’s not every time…” mumbled Roy.
Still, despite his grumbles, he did drink his tea, pausing to sniffle after each sip. It was his actual food he ended up barely touching. Riza eyed each untouched pea with a watchful stare, keeping track of every push of a fork her commander made.
Upon returning to their office after lunch, the window showed that the rain had not let up during their absence. It felt as if they had never left, with the room trapped in a limbo of damp gloominess. The mess hall had been a touch warmer due to its location in the building and large amount of living bodies inside. So it was this contrast, surely, that made the office now feel even colder than it had this morning. With no sun to warm it through the windows, the plain, military furniture was, too, like ice.
The first thing Roy did as they stepped back in was to shiver, though in a much deeper, heavier way than seemed appropriate. Giving another quick sneeze, he rubbed his nose and took his seat at his desk.
As the afternoon wore on, the frequency and volume of Roy’s sneezes began to increase. They went from one every thirty minutes or so—
“EhhkKSHHUH!”
To two every twenty—
“Heh…H’ngSHHH! EHKSHHOO!”
To now at least three per ten minutes.
“Nn’kSHOO! ESHHOO! Hnnk’SHHUH!”
Still, the colonel continued to do his work. Honestly, with how much he usually dodged his reports, it seemed like he took doing it now of all times as a challenge of some sort.
No matter how many times Riza said “bless you”, the tone of her voice did not change. The amount of “I told you so” coming through in each one remained small. She was spreading it out, not going all in too fast. She did not get tired of saying it, though at this point he might be tired of hearing it.
On what felt like what must be her hundredth time saying it that day, she wordlessly got up from her seat and went to the closet. She rummaged around for a moment, then went to place a new, unopened box of tissues on her superior officer’s desk. “It seemed like you were running out.”
For the first time that day, color rose to Roy’s cheeks. He cleared his throat, which turned into an actual series of coughs, and fiddled with the box with his hand. “Thank you,” he said.
“Take care of yourself, sir. It would be unwise to ignore your health.”
With a coarse, gravel-like laugh, Roy replied, “Really, it’s not a big deal. I’m fine.”
And so, more time passed.
As a sniper, Riza had full confidence in her ability to judge things from a distance. Her work made her patient, and allowed for her to keep both a steady hand and a steady head. To observe a situation from afar and note the smallest, minute detail was as simple to her as brushing her teeth. So it was very clear when, a mere hour before it was time to go home, the colonel’s movements started to become sluggish.
It was fairly subtle. Perhaps he hadn’t even noticed it himself, as he was continuing to fill out reports smoothly, but it was very clear to her. The time he spent reading each page increased, as did the speed at which he wrote. He even seemed to be blinking more slowly and more often. When combined with his constant sneezes, his eyes were almost closed more often than not.
Perhaps this alone could point to a more normal exhaustion; the weather certainly had Riza fighting off the urge to yawn. However, the additional evidence of the very lightest sheen of sweat on his brow and the shivers almost as common as his sniffles told of another, more troubling explanation.
“Hnn…HnCHHUH! Heh…heSHHOO!”
He was in the midst of another batch of sneezes, waiting for the third one to come as he held a tissue to his face (which was now forced to be there essentially all the time), when Riza decided to make her move. She rose from her chair again, and by the time the colonel was done with the fit, she was standing right in front of him.
“Please forgive me for the transgression I’m about to perform, sir.”
Before he could even reply, she’d placed her hand on his forehead.
“Lieutenant…!”
Riza narrowed her eyes as her brow crinkled into a furrow. “You’re running a fever. Perhaps you should go to the doctor.”
Roy batted her hand away. “It’s only a cold,” he said, probably not even realizing that he was, at last, admitting it. “The only thing for it is to go sleep it off, anyway.”
“Then perhaps you should leave early and head home.”
“Really, there’s no need. I’m fine,” he said. Then in a mumble, “Like you said, this happens nearly every time the weather’s bad.”
Pulling back her hand and folding it behind her back in the true military manner, Riza calmly said, “I would have thought the Flame Alchemist of all people would jump at the chance to get out of work and be taken care of by a woman.”
“Heh!” Roy scoffed, seeming to call her bluff. “Oh, surely. If there was such a woman available.”
Riza remained still, her eyes closed.
Roy sniffled and stared at her smugly, until, at last, it seemed to hit him. His eyes widened as he sputtered out a cough. “Ah…”
“Well, Colonel?”
He glanced down at his desk. The report he’d been working on sat there staring back. The smudged ink line of his unfinished sentence was winking coyly.
Looking slightly sheepish, Roy covered the paper with his hand and pushed it aside. “Well, Breda has had a little too much free time anyway s-so…heh…”
Riza plucked a tissue from the box and handed it to him.
“EhhsHHUEW! Ungh…”
“Bless you, sir.”
With a tired sigh, Roy blew his nose. He stood from his desk, a little too fast, as he quickly began to sway.
Placing a steady hand against his back, Riza leaned in close to support him. “Please be careful, sir.”
“Thank you, Lieutenant.”
They went to get their coats, Riza watching with her hawk’s eye to make sure Roy buttoned his up all the way. Perhaps that had been the cause of this, perhaps not, but the weather outside hadn’t let up.
As they closed the office door behind them, Roy rubbed his nose and asked, “Lieutenant, would it be possible to get more of that tea? My throat is killing me…”
Giving one last little smile to herself, Riza replied, “Of course, sir. I’ll make sure to protect you from the rain, too, on the way home.”

The Great Produce 48 Rewatch: Ep 2, Phone Calls Home and Judges Table
Tumblr media
Hey, National Producer! It's always so nice to see you. Let's dive back into our amazing Produce48 rewatch!
When we left off with this ridiculous project, we had seen many of the trainees recording their evaluation performance for the grade reassignment, and I whispered to you sweetly to tell you what their grades were as we went along, in an effort to subvert MNET editing.
In this post, we'll cover the girls weepy phone calls home, usually to their moms, and then see some of the judges' table. Along the way, we'll find out more of their final grades, too. Get a whole box of tissues and watch along if you like: https://kshow123.tv/show/produce-48/episode-2.html
At 1:48:33, the segment begins. The girls are brought one at a time to a small room. They know what’s coming -- it’s phone call time! They’re handed a cell phone and told they can call one person who they can think of right now. Some of them start crying at the mere thought of it.
Tumblr media
Kim Dayeon, future Kep1er, cries even while the phone is still ringing. She’s only 15, poor kid. We never see any of her audition, but hopefully she will be happy when she finds out that she maintained her B-status.
We also see Sakura and Lee Gaeun, both calling their mothers. Gaeun’s greeting comes out in a tight squeak.
Tumblr media
Huh Yujin, future Le Sserafim, is so overcome that at first she can’t speak. Her mother says hello first in Korean and then in English, suggesting that she doesn’t recognize the phone number Yujin is calling from. Both her Mom and I want to hug her. I still can’t get over the judges moving her down to F!
Tumblr media
Choi Soeun, who auditioned with Question Mark and earlier said that B-class was communicating telepathically, communicates telephonically as well with her mom. We don’t see any of her audition, but later on she is moved down to C-class.
Park Chanju’s mother helpfully says, “you must have missed me so much. Stop crying.”
Sakura, who has gotten through to her mother, can’t speak. Her mother just keeps asking “Daijobu? Why are you crying?”
Tumblr media
Kato Yuuka’s mother asks her, “was there anything that bothered you?” Yuuka auditioned with Funny People, in the furry orange collar. If only Yuuka knew that in a few hours she would be moving up to B-class -- she could have told her mom the good news!
Tumblr media
They seem to be filming Jo Yuri through the tiny window in the door as she tells her mother, “I’m not quite meeting my own expectations.” We didn’t see any of her evaluation performance, but it apparently didn’t go well at all. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t show it, because it was so bad that she is going to move all the way from A to F. As we see later, she just totally froze in place during the recording. Poor kid.
Tumblr media
Pretty little Kang Damin, future Queenzeye, who auditioned in the pale yellow shirt alongside “mini-Sunmi” of the flat tummy, gets a pep talk from her mom. We later see a bit of her audition video, in which she’s really throwing herself into it -- she didn’t even need that pep talk! The judges move her up to A class. Good work, Damin!
Tumblr media
Individual trainee Park Jinny -- one of the ex-YG girls and future member of Secret Number -- gets a pep talk from her dad. Hopefully it’ll give her a bit of strength when she finds out shortly that the judges are moving her down from C to F.
Honda Hitomi gets a pep talk from her mom. She really is a cutey. We’ll see more of her during the judges’ evaluation part.
Tumblr media
Shitao Miu, who auditioned with Honda Hitomi to Mister and wore the cap on her belt, says she feels better hearing her mom’s voice, even though mom had scolded her right before she left. She interviews that she realized that she felt thankful toward her mom all along. She’s going to learn soon that she’s staying in D-class.
Tumblr media
Naiki Kokoro, who auditioned in Funny People (wearing green), says that she realized she’s not alone because she has her family.  That’s sweet! And soon she will have her friends in C-class, because the judges are moving her up!
Then we transition into the parents who laugh at their kids.
Tumblr media
The mother of husky-voiced Kim Hyuna asks her if she’s the oldest in the competition, and she says she thinks she is. She’s not -- that would be the multi-lingual Miyazaki Miho, who is 24 -- but at 23, Hyuna is definitely among the oldest. We’ll see more of her during the judges’ evaluation part.
Tumblr media
Park Minji, future member of Secret Number, gets asked if there’s anything she wants to eat when she gets home. Minji tells mom that she has plenty of food, and mom scolds her for eating instant noodles. Hopefully mom wouldn’t have scolded her for keeping her status in B class.
It’s kind of funny how both Park Minji and Park Jinny auditioned with the Chung-ha song Roller Coaster, though separately, given that they were destined to both be in Secret Number together.
Tumblr media
Cho Kahyeon, the girl from the Starship group who isn’t Wonyoung or An Yujin, is literally me talking to my mom. Her mom says Kahyeon is good enough to be there but can’t make her debut, because, apparently, Kahyeon is “fat”. Thanks, Mom! Thmom. Kahyeon tells her that she’s on speaker phone, and mom apologizes, but goes on to say that Kahyeon had said that “someone in Gugudan used to be fat” (I assume she’s talking about Kang Mina?), and Kahyeon’s dying of embarrassment that her mom is repeating all this on national tv.  Mom says, this won’t be aired, right? And Kahyeon, who is smart enough to know what’s up, is like “yeah, I don’t know about that.” I wonder if Mom would have been proud to know that Kahyeon stayed in B class, or if she would have scolded her for not moving up?
Judges Table
Tumblr media
At 1:51:26, the judges assemble for the grade evaluation.
The judges talk about how they’re expecting the Japanese trainees to do well at looking at the camera. They watch Gaeun’s and Sakura’s performances -- both great, as you may recall, so they both keep their A status -- then Jeremy is super excited to see Lee Chaeyeon. He actually says “Oh my God!” in English, which is pretty cute.
Tumblr media
The judges say that she was sick during the training period and couldn’t take lessons from the teacher, so she must have taught herself. She does great -- singing, dancing, performance. They love her -- Dance Bae says “I want more trainees like her.” As we find out later, she keeps her A status.
Next is Cherry Bullet’s Park Haeyoon, and Jeremy says “Please do well.” But…
Tumblr media
… things don’t go well for my new Cherry Bullet bias. Oh no! She forgets the words, and I think she forgets the steps. Her voice sounds tired and strained. Dance Bae snarks, “I don’t know why I’m even watching this to the end.” It’s a real bummer. Jeremy apologizes to the other judges -- the joke is that he’s from the same agency, FNC  -- and Soyou says “Her strength is in high pitches. I even marked her name” (ie, Soyou had noticed her at the audition) “but she isn’t good.” Oh no!! As we find out later, she gets placed in D class, a huge downgrade from A.
Next up is Jang Gyu Ri, fromis_9 member, who we saw audition with Chewing Gum (she was the pink one). The judges comment on how pretty she is.
Tumblr media
We only see a bit of her audition, but she doesn’t seem to even try to sing. She must have forgotten the lyrics completely. As we find out later, she gets placed in F class, a huge downgrade from B.
Next is Kim Choyeon, the fire-eyes girl who we talked about earlier. (If you forgot, she is going to move down from A to C.)
Then Cho Sa Rang, the little 14 year old who sang the song from Annie as part of her audition.
Tumblr media
She has a complete brain failure, poor kid. We find out later that she gets moved down to F, a pretty far fall from B.
Tumblr media
Shin Suhyun, who auditioned by herself with the song Playing With Fire and who had voice-over-ed earlier that the Japanese trainees were impressive in their revaluation, also goes blank. The judges roll their eyes. We find out later that she also gets moved down to F.  The show really, really hates this girl. Other trainees also don't do a great job, but the show never misses an opportunity to shit on poor punching bag Shin Suyhun.
Next is Park Jieun, future ex-Purple Kiss, who, as we discussed earlier, really blows it. The judges are getting fed up, saying that all their aces are disappointing them.
Next up is Goto Moe, who had lost her voice in the audition. They’re all excited -- Jeremy says she’s on his “A-list.”
Tumblr media
She starts off wrong, but she keeps going, and though she gets kind of shrill and shouty, she’s actually kind of on key. She’s not nearly as nasal as most of the Japanese trainees. The judges find her charming and unique. We find out later that she has been moved up to C-class, which is huge, and I think well-deserved. Nice work, Moe!
Next is Mogi Shinobu, our living meme girl, who as we discussed earlier, moves up to D.
Then Murase Sae, who we met during her performance of Funny People, in which she wore the worst outfit.
Tumblr media
Dance Bae, impressed with Sae’s energy, offers her own kind of praise: “She’s so horrible -- but I want to teach her.” Mary J Lee, who has been working with the D class girls, says “She’s a hard worker.” We later on find out that they have moved her up to C. Good work, Sae!
Next is dancer Nakano Ikumi, who we discussed earlier. Her energy and enthusiasm, as well as her obvious improvement, moves Dance Bae to ruminate, “I had expected to scold the Japanese trainees a lot today, but I really have no comment. They’re just not experienced.”  See, she’s not a psychopath the way that Psychopath is, you guys. I swear she’s not. Dance Bae adds that the Korean trainees should prepare well because the Japanese girls are coming for them.
We’re reminded that the girls needed to learn the songs in both languages, and then we see “mini Chung-ha”, little Lee Ha Eun again (we saw her earlier). She seems to rock the Japanese version, proving why she deserves to keep her A status.
Next up is future Lightsum’s Kim Nayoung, who auditioned with I Don’t Like Your Girlfriend.
Tumblr media
She has no trouble hitting the high notes, and just generally seems to be doing great. Dance Bae -- who, mind you, has been teaching her in C class for the past day or two -- says in surprise, “Why is she in C-class?” Jeremy calls her a hidden treasure. We find out later that she had been moved up to A. Great work, Nayoung!
The next few girls are each shown for a few seconds each, as a sort of montage of trainees who can’t remember any of the lyrics to the Japanese version of the song.
The first in this group is Kim Doah, future Fanatics member and GP999 contestant, who psyches herself out a bit trying to sing in Japanese.
Tumblr media
We find out later that she is moved down to C from A. Poor kid! I still like you, Doah.
Next is Kwon Eunbi, who we discussed earlier.  (She crashed and burned and was moved down to C.)
Then Kim Yubin from CNC school -- part of Dayeon’s group.
Tumblr media
She keeps smiling but doesn’t sing a note. We find out later that she gets moved down to D class.
Next is husky voiced Kim Hyunah, who apparently isn’t showing her vocals here…
Tumblr media
… though she must do really well otherwise, because the judges later decide to keep her in class B.
Next is Kim Dahye from Banana Culture, who we talked about earlier.
Then it’s Honda Hitomi, the one that we saw a lot of in the dance lessons. The class had high expectations of her -- and she seems to be delivering.
Tumblr media
My favorite is Dance Bae asking, “Is she singing in Korean?” I mean, if you have to ask…? But still, gotta respect the hustle. The judges certainly do, and we find out later on that she has been moved to A group. Nice work, Hitomi!
She’s not the only Japanese trainee to memorize the lyrics in Korean. (I’m still not clear on whether or not they were required to.)
We see a nanosecond of Imada Mina -- who we discussed earlier -- then a nanosecond of Tanaka Miku, the girl in F-class with the cute bangs who was hanging out with Bibian and Nako when Erii was getting yelled at. It was hard to get a screenshot of her, but she was doing a decent job, and we find out later that she moves up to C class.
We also see a nanosecond of Kurihara Sae, one of the members of the Never Ending Ferris Wheel group. Like many of her teammates, she’s putting her heart into it. The judges are going to put her in D class.
Tumblr media
We see a fair bit of Iwate Saho’s evaluation. She was in Dancing Hero, and she’s the one we saw learning the choreo from H1-Key Riina in her class. I guess the lessons didn’t really stick. She seems to sort of improvise new steps or something, making all the judges laugh, and though Psychopath says “my heart wants to give her an A,” they ultimately move her down to D-class.
Then we see a nanosecond each of CNC School’s Yoon Eunbin -- she’s REALLY throwing herself into it, maintaining her place in B class -- and Kang Damin, who we discussed earlier, letting out a cute high pitched “hoo!”.
After that, there’s Ko Yujin, who auditioned with Lip and Hip and who claims to look a bit like HyunA, and the judges love her. They say she looks like top-5 material to them.
Tumblr media
The judges are going to move her up from C to A, reversing the fate of Kim Cho Yeon, the “fire”-eyes girl who also auditioned with Lip and Hip and went from A to C.
Then we see Yabuki Nako, who the judges love. We actually get a mini montage of her in dance class, and learn that she’s the other trainees’ pick as most likely to succeed.
Tumblr media
She does great -- vocals, dance, performance, it’s all there. Sure, it’s not the style of singing I love, but darned if she isn’t on key despite jumping up and down the whole time. It’s good. We find out later that the judges move her from F all the way up to A! Sugoi! Congrats, Nako-chan!
As episode 2 draws to a close, we see the judges leaving judging table to meet with the girls in their respective classrooms, and the editors tease us with a bit of what’s going to happen next.
Jeremy talks to the A class, and is cagey about how many of their grades have changed. I’ll tell you that it’s 8.
Psychopath tells the B class that 17 people’s grades have changed.
Cheetah tells the C class that 18 people’s grades have changed.
Mary J Lee tells the D class that 12 people’s grades have changed.
Dance Bae tells the F class that 9 people’s grades have changed.
There are 15 girls in D, but only 11 are present, and there are 17 girls in F but only 9 are present. It also looks like Sakura and Miyu aren’t present in the A-class. This is because -- as we learn later -- a bunch of the AKB girls had professional obligations back in Japan.
What’s really odd about the preview is that it straight up shows us that Lee Gaeun and Sakura have both gotten an A, but then we just see other girls being handed their grades without finding out what that new grade is. They also show a completely, 100% pixelated blob walking down the hallway with a caption letting us know that someone has fallen from A class to F class. Again, what's the point of showing the pixelated blob, MNET? They could just as easily show us a wall with a sign that says "I'm just wasting time."
Tumblr media
Sooooo close this time, AI image generator. Soooo close.
Anyway, that’s the end of the episode! Woot!
In the next episode, they’re going to dick around and waste time forever and day without telling you who is what new class, but you’ll already know the fates of at least 53 of them! Because you live in the FUTURE!!!!!1!
Then they show the ranking of the 96 girls as they stood at the time. I’ll give you a quick reminder of who each girl is and note any rank changes of more than 20 spots (or just notable changes) from the previous ranking. It’s worth noting that all three girls from the polka dotted Celeb Five audition leaped up significantly. Also, all future members of IVE, Everglow, and Le Sserafim are in the top 25.  I bolded names of people you might have heard of because they debuted in groups later on and are still active. Jeff x sick reader ! ___
Requested by my friend .
_____________________
Cw EMH mentions of over all being sick and not feeling good.
This is fluff x reader
_____________________
You were laying in bed , eyes puffy nose flushed a shade of rosey pink at the tip.
Sinuses absolutely clogged, and hair in slight tangles. Dishleved from you sleeping all day atop of trying to get comfortable.
Your lips were cracking a tad chapped yes but not too horrible , still very uncomfortable twisted in with a small scale growing fever.
And you felt like shit.
Youre bed side night stand was covered in a sizable yet tiny pile of tissue paper because your bin you placed by your bed was no longer enough almost overflown with used tissues.
Which you hated.
But your body was sick and you really don't get a say in its bodily functioning healing process wether or not you liked it played no part in the matter.
You called your boyfriend Jeff who was out grocery shopping once he finished his shift at the hospital.
He was in the middle of grabbing a bag of chips tossing them into the cart , before the vibrations of his phone from his jean pocket lightly brought him into mildly startled awareness.
He stuffs his hand into his pocket, and fishes out his phone eyes narrowing at the screen reading over the caller ID .
Then he registered mentally that it's you calling ! So of course he hit the green button and put the phone up to his ear.
"Hello what's up?"
Jeff's voice picks up from the other end of the call.
You sniffle and begin to speak "Jeff - I caught a cold ...i don't think you wanna come over tonight ."
The second he heard that little sniffle he furrowed his brows in concerned shock and stubbornly shook his head no which you could practically feel through the phone without Even having to see him physically.
He scoffs and that's all you hear before he responds with a stern yet loving "uhm no. I'm coming over, you can stop me or atleast try but you probably won't be able to . And you lay down and rest, when I'm done shopping I'm making you soup. And taking care of you like a good boyfriend love you stay put. And get comfy because your not moving on my watch for a good while less completely necessary."
Before you could even get a single w o r d in he hung up.
Jeff was on a SPREE now searching up and down for the perfect ingredients for a healthy yet well rounded meal to make you feel better and some medicine he even went as far as to get a heating pad and you a new blanket with some tissue boxes and pajamas which were soft in texture having a blue and white plaid pattern.
He settled on some simple chicken stew , with some parsley thyme chives cream rosemary and celery a bit of onions mixed with some salt pepper and garlic and then those thick homemade noodles that everyone's Italian grandma has stored away in her kitchen.
Before you knew it he was home he dressed you in new pajamas got your hair all taken care and washed. cleaned off the side table and emptied out the tissue bin placing the new tissue box on the bedside table for you.
Made you that amazing soup and got you a bottle of water tucking you in with your new blanket which pleasantly to your surprise was your favorite color ! And very soft n fuzzy.
And you even had a brand new heating pad under your blanket helping you stay warm and to break the fever quicker speeding up the process of ending this horrible snot nosed nightmare of a cold.
He set your medicine on the table next to the tissue box and after you were properly fed he got into bed with you despite your protests of "Jeff your gonna get sick!!"
Jeff only replied with a smug yet proud look only he of all people can sport. Painted all along his face.
"no. I'm holding you and hugging you because I'm just gonna and what are you gonna do kick me out of the room? "
You fall silent mentally parsing a response yet the attempt fails and you sigh pulling the blankets up and over you both once he's snuggled in next to you properly and sleepily tuck your head into his shoulder eyes sleepily closing you hear a chuckle and mentally roll your eyes before you feel his slender hands fingers run through your (your hair color) locks you slowly feel all your resistance to this absolute loving yet asshole ish man fade like butter in a microwave on high. And you start to drift off to sleep you feel one of his lanky arms wrap around you and his hand continues to pet your head of now clean and brushed hair thanks to him that is. You hear Jeff start to hum a soft tune aiding you further into a dazed half awake half asleep state the song is "shankill butchers by he decembersists" Jeff loves that song and had always sung it to you when you were having difficulties and now it definitely served its purpose further soon you were asleep.
Jeff watches as you sleep and continues humming and softly singing to you a look of smitten adornment glistening in his tired eyes and soon enough his own exhaustion from working at a hospital all day and shopping makes itself known and he begins to drift off alongside you but before he does and before his heavy eyes shut he kisses your forehead and puts his chin atop your head tucking your head protectively beneathe his own the hand in your hair softly pushing your head closer to the betweenst of his shoulder and chest where it connects and soon you both were interlaced and out like a light. Comfy warm. And happy.

 A Cold for Three
Fluffy fic for Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie with some 12 days of Sickmas prompts thrown in for good measure.
A Cold for Three
Sylvie slipped behind the Roxxcart and through a time door into the soft warmth on the other side.  She could have gone to a store that wasn’t in the middle of a hurricane, but nostalgia got the better of her, and she blamed Mobius for letting her go soft.  Still she took out the medicine she’d bought, in flavours she knew they liked just in case, along with at least four boxes of tissues; spreading everything out on the living room table.
“Sylvie, you’re home early,” Loki said, coming out of the kitchen.
“Yeah, Jack let me go early I…ihh’ISSHhiew!”
“Bless you, and you’re wet.”
There was a flash of green as he dried her clothes.
“I stopped off for some supplies and-ahh-and-ahh’AHISShew!”
“You too hmm?”
She looked at him property then, taking in his watery eyes and red nose and sighed.  She had really hoped she’d be the only one.
“You said we were gods, Loki, why do we still have to deal with this?”
He shrugged. “I don’t make the rules of the universe I just keep them running.”
He rubbed at his nose, smiling at the glowing green branches growing in pots and spreading out around the room.
She rolled her eyes and headed to their bedroom. “I’m getting changed.”
Loki went back to the kitchen and checked the pot he had simmering on the stove.  Deeming it ready he ladled the soup into three bowls and set them out on the table as well.  The steam set his nose running though and he quickly opened one of the boxes of tissues and pressed them to his nostrils as they had begun to flare.
“huhh’ESHHHh! IESHUHhh! Ehh..hehh’HEASSUHuhh!”
As he blew his nose Sylvie returned in her pajamas and smiled at the soup.
“Thanks for doing this, but I still can’t believe you took up cooking, Loki.”
“I have to keep my skills sharp,” he answered, spinning a small blade in his palm before vanishing his daggers once more.
“And make terrible puns.”
“A bad influence of the folksy dope I’m afraid.”
“I heard that.”
They turned as Mobius came in and the familiar orange door faded behind him.
“Uhh’URSSHhuh! MMPSHHShuh!”
Mobius stumbled with the force of the sneezes, barely catching them against his sleeve.  Loki held him by the elbow and Sylvie took the tray he had been carrying.
“Ugh, who do we get to blame for this?” he asked, his voice thick with congestion.
“I’m blaming Brad.” Sylvie declared.
“Works for me,” Mobius said, as Sylvie set down the tray of take-out cups among the other items. “I brought tea for you two too.”
“Thank you.”
With all the necessary comforts accounted for the three of them settled in on the couch under a soft green blanket.  Sylvie began flipping through channels, everything was available after all. Meanwhile Mobius began talking about his day and a file to check later for a possible Kang variant.
Loki sniffled, letting the moment wash over him. He put an arm around each of them and held them close and knew that even ill as they were he could want for nothing more.
