Howdy Bestie @tolkien-fantasy! I hope you enjoy this matchup, I haven't written for BG3 before and it's been SO long since i've written in general so hopefully it's somewhat good! (i even included canon lines he says to Tav)
I match you up with Gale of Waterdeep!
I'm going to go off script of the whole Tav storyline
You guy's met one day in Baldur's Gate many years ago at Sorcerous Sundries, a huge and magical Library
He noticed you were struggling to reach a book on the top shelf, so he helped you out
Gale stood behind you, and grabbed the book before looking down and offering it to you with a grin
"Ah, A Primer on Mythical Beasts. An excellent choice!"
And with that single comment, the two of you clicked, forming an unbreakable bond over your mutual love of books and knowledge.
At the time, Gale lived in Waterdeep, further up north- a City much, much larger than your home in Baldur's Gate
The day you met, you spoke so proudly of his home. How beautiful and magnificent it is- and the libraries. Oh the Libraries in his city are large full of rare books and tomes.
Gale invited you to come to Waterdeep some day, so that he may show you said libraries
but alas, with the journey being long, it would not bode well with your ailments. So you declined
The day Gale had to leave Baldur's Gate was a sad one, although neither of you lost hope to keep in contact
You two sent letters each and every day, talking about anything and everything.
Gale would send you tomes regarding your current obsessions, and would always look forward to your next letter in response
One day though, the letters stopped. You kept sending letters to him in hope of a reply
Maybe he's just busy? Yeah that's right, he is Mystra's Chosen, so he's probably busy with his duties to her
But a letter never came
Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months. But you didn't lose hope and continued to send letters
Then one day he just... appeared
Gale stood right in front of you at your little house on the edge of Baldur's Gate
He stood right in front of you, disheveled, bruised, and exhausted. And yet- there was a huge happy grin on his face despite the anxiety shaking in his hands
Gale explained everything to you, not leaving out a single detail, being as honest as he can
Okay so now timeskip and finally get to the romance part lmao
If there is one thing I know for sure, is he ABSOLUTELY adores all the mortal aspects of you
from the way your hair puffs up like a Owlbears feathers
to the mud staining your clothes during outdoor adventures
Gale thinks you're drop dead gorgeous
you're so different from most people in Faerun, and he's met a lot of people and he absolutely adores it
He supports you in everything you do, constantly purchasing new tomes for your interests
new journals, pens, and materials for your artistic hobbies
good luck charms and rare crystals
And dont worry about having too much stuff, like books and material. His tower has shelves upon shelves of books and storage.
He might even use some little wizard magic to expand on his tower just for you
"Whatever you need, you have only to ask"
Gale helps you as much as he can with your pain and ailments
He's constantly researching new spells and medicines with the help of Shadowheart
And if you're up for it, he'll create potions for you to try and experiment to see if it helps
and if it does! he happily teaches you how to make it so if there is any point where he is gone and you've run out, you'd be able to make it!
On any particular day where the pain is especially bad, he's at your beck and call. To the point of having Tara stay by your side when he is unable to
"Are you alright? If you have need of me, just say the word."
I feel the need to touch on your height for a moment
In comparison to him, you're so small but not once does he mention it. He understands that it can be an insecurity
But secretly? he absolutely adores your height
The way he can comfortably hold you in his lap as he reads makes him so so happy and warm
One particular moment that really stands out, is how he dropped something in a hole, unable to reach it
But you were there! and happily grabbed it for him... atleast not without a silly comment from him before you did
"That's not a Gale-sized hole."
Or how despite your size, you're SO strong, and it never fails to make his heart flutter seeing you lift heavy items. (his str is 8.. mans is WEAK)
He constantly asks if you could carry something for him just to see you flex your muscles
One specific time, there was "danger" that appeared out of nowhere
It startled him and you came to his rescue. Taking care of it with absolute ease
"I um, once read a book that explained in some detail the effect a brush with danger has on one's desire for... other forms of stimulation.."
I wouldn't particularly say Gale is a morning person, so good luck waking up in the mornings trying to escape his grasp
He'd try holding onto you for as long as he can before you get annoyed that you need to get up
Only then, will he finally let go
Sometimes he gets up with you, but some mornings, he's too exhausted from his night owl activities that he falls right to sleep (with some struggle since you're no longer there)
Please bring him coffee or even tea to bed, waking him up with it. He would melt and get so flustered
He'd grab onto you, holding you tight and press a kiss to your cheeks
"Ah, to hold the world in the palm of one's hand"
Gale LOVES to hold long philosophical conversations with you. He uses such fancy big words and loves to hear your point of view on things that most would ignore
The two of you could stay up late for hours, simply debating on topics
Some nights it get's so intense he'd break out a paper and quill to write down each others thoughts, comparing them and create charts
Now for you chaotic gremlin habits, at first he was a big worrywart. Unsure if it would be safe to do something
but overtime, he learned to accept it, and simply join you on the fun
After everything he's been through, He fully heartedly believes to just throw oneself into something, to not worry too much about rejection or what may happen. As long as you try.
"Sounds like a recipe for disaster. But you know what? I'm learning to enjoy the taste of chaos. Count me in."
All in all, he is a very loving partner, who loves to dote on you
who loves to indulge in everything you ever do and say
he'll be with you until the end of time, refusing to leave your side

Hard Work - Asra
notes: this fic is based on this matchup for @lovolee3! i liked it way too much and HAD to write a full version! this is nothing but toothrotting fluff! I really hope you all enjoy!!! <333

Asra woke up after a long day to find you making breakfast. The window was wide open, the sheer white curtains pushed to the side and he could hear the chirping of the morning birds as the sun spilled in the room.
“Good morning, Asra,” you smiled.
“Good morning, love,” Asra yawned, pulling his cardigan over his shoulder. “That looks delightful.”
“Well, I know you had a long day yesterday. You deserved not only to sleep in, but to have a lovely breakfast as well.”
Asra smiled at you and pressed kisses all over your face as you plated his food. When you finished, you threw your arms around him and he buried his face in the crook of your neck, taking a deep breath of you in. He smiled and sighed wistfully as you played with his shining, white curls.
He pulled back from you only to press a couple of kisses onto your soft lips and scoop up his plate, leading it to the small dining room table.
You followed shortly behind and the two of you ate breakfast in near silence, hearing the fresh green leaves on the trees rustling from the morning breeze.
The tea kettle you had set was squealing and you ran over quickly to prepare both of your tea.
When you had come back to the dining room, you found Asra reading a book, putting your current work in progress where you were sitting. You slid him his tea and he thanked you, his bright eyes meeting yours with a smile.
The morning was calm, just spent with the two of you reading in peace and the sound of the busy street beginning to flood pulled you two out of your peace, letting the rest of the morning flow.
"Ready to open up shop?" Asra asked you, taking your book from you and putting both yours and his on the shelf.
"Once you get out of those sloppy pajamas," you giggled, pressing a kiss onto his nose. "And then we can get started."
Asra rolled his eyes at you and went upstairs to his room. You decided in that time to clean up a bit, dusting off bottles and organizing the tarot cards you sold.
"How many readings do you think we'll have today?" You asked Faust as she crawled up your leg and up your torso to your shoulder.
"Lots!" You chuckled at Faust and petted her on the head before you heard the small stomps of Asra's feet run down the old wooden stairs.
"Ready now?" He asked, fixing the disheveled curls atop his head.
"Yes, go ahead." You said, walking back behind the counter.
Once the shop, people flooded in asking for tarot readings or something to help their sick mother back at home. You were used to the shop being busy, but never this busy.
"Are you doing alright over there?" Asra asked from the reading room as you ran the counter, struggling, but still smiling.
"Just fine, Asra!" You nodded at a customer who left the shop and took a breath before a couple of girls flooded in.
"Want to swap places? It's nice and cool back here?" He stuck his head out of the purple curtains.
"Oh, I don't know. I'm still a little rusty, don't you think?"
"Not at all!" Asra got out of the room and handed you the deck, letting you feel the energy. "Now get in there! Can't decide if you're rusty if you're not doing anything!" He gave you a pat on the back and took over the counter.
You went to the back where the reading room was and Asra was right, it was cool in there. You took a deep breath and even though you knew you would still be doing a bit of work, you got to take a break for at least a moment.
You sat back there for a couple of hours, telling an old man that he could move on, a young girl that she still had hope, and several people that they were going to be working hard in their future. It seemed like easy work, but you were exhausted.
"Alright," Asra stuck his head in the room and you couldn't help but get a little flustered looking at him all worked out, his hair messy and sweat beading on his forehead. "The shop's all closed up. We're good for the weekend."
You sighed in relief and set down the deck onto the table before putting it back into its secure case. "Thank goodness."
"Let's take a bath, we have a long weekend ahead of us."
"Long but fun," you took Asra's hand and let him lead you upstairs.
"Yes! Fun! I love going on adventures with you, y/n."
"Makes the long weeks worth it."
"Tell me about it." Asra pecked kisses up and down your arms and led you to the bathroom. Before the long weekend ahead, you needed a long night of relaxation.

I'm a 5'2 plus-sized woman working on getting my master's degree in writing and editing. I'd love to be an author and maybe a professor or documentarian someday. I love reading, photography, cooking/baking, and while I'm too poor to travel right now I'd love to do it in the future! I'm a history buff, a gamer, and a literature nerd that is laughably full of trauma/CPTSD but I'm doing alright so far.
My friends lovingly call me a "doormat" because I'm too nice, but really I just like to give people a chance and avoid snap judgements. I'm a very patient person and I think long and hard before making big decisions, although I can also be prone to impulse buys and jumping into things to avoid giving myself the chance to psych out.
I've often been told that I'm a very stoic individual with flat intonation, making me often look angry or bored even when I'm having a good time. I'm the kind of person who really comes to life when I'm with people I care about or talking about the things I'm currently fixated in. It always shocks people when they speak to me and I'm comfortable enough with them to joke around and let my "weird energy" out. I once crawled on my friends floor in college pretending to be a French tortoise because she said that I smiled like a koopa troopa when I was being devious. Je suis un tortue... She never lets me forget.
I also have a tendency to laugh hysterically when stressed or flustered and it has been described as sounding like a "maniacal drugged up clown."

When it was published, and after many compliments from the townspeople and your friends, Keegan read it
The story you wrote wasn't too far from the life he lived being a part of the Ghosts
Since then Keegan started getting close to you

As he got to know you, the more silly side of you, he couldn't get you off his mind

Hi, this is for our LOTR matchup trade!
I’m Tori, a 20 year old autistic girl (pronouns she/her) who would prefer a ship with a man. Also, I tend to prefer the humans in middle earth (so like Aragorn, Faramir, Boromir and Eomer) so if you could kindly ship me with one of them specifically I’d be very grateful.
I’m really short, only like 4’ 10” (142 cm) with wild, long and wavy auburn hair and really light blue eyes. I’m slender but very toned, and I also wear glasses. I'm pretty neutral about both my appearance and myself in general and I don't think I genuinely hate anything about myself. I'm generally neutral about most things actually. I have chronic joint pain all over, scoliosis and some other illnesses but I stay very active regardless. I’m really polite and try my hardest to be nice to everyone, but if you cross me or give me a bad vibe I can be a little cold and aloof. I’m a tad awkward, but I’ve been told I can be charming and I’m really good at making others laugh with witty comments. I tell amazing stories because I've had a lot of experience with different things during my life. I’m very generous and don’t mind helping others or doing nice things for them. I’m also extremely energetic and always have to be doing something, to the point where I’m honestly not sure I really know how to rest. My friends say I give really good advice and am very wise, and also that I have warm, inviting energy. I could lowkey befriend anyone if I really tried. Though I'm also very sensitive and don't enjoy being teased too much, so I don't tease people much either. I hate seeing people, or really anything, upset.
Where I really shine is with my large number of hobbies and interests. Because I always like to keep busy, I have a lot of different activities and side gigs to keep me occupied. In Middle Earth, I’d probably be some sort of ranger who picks up a bunch of odd jobs here and there. I currently work as a librarian but my other hobbies include:

Hey is it alright if I ask for a normal human and demon matchup? If you can’t do both, then I’d like a normal human matchup. I’m a 23 year old (24 this June) straight, 5’8” Mexican American female who’s currently in university as a history major. I’m a Catholic who’s trying to improve my faith. At first I can be quiet and shy, but once I warm up I’m pretty fun and chill. I overthink, fear getting judged, and can get sad from time to time, but I’m going to therapy for it. I listen to different kinds of music, but my favorites are 80’s, a bit of Eurovision, and kpop (mainly girl groups. I’m even in our club's dance group). I watch anime, youtube clips, some family guy and south park, older disney and nick shows/movies I grew up watching, and a few dramas/documentaries (started shogun and need to finish it, along with quiet on set). My guilty pleasure clips/shows include maury, jerry springer, and dance moms. Something I’d like to get back to doing again is reading since I don’t as much as I used to. Thanks in advance!

Kyojuro probably is kind and happy so when you met he most likely introduced himself loudly and this can be a little intimidating to some people. When he notices you flinch a little, he lowers his voice immediately and introduces himself more quietly.
He will praise your beauty and your faith also, so count him excited when you feel comfortable enough to smile and have a chill conversation with him. He is still loud, but now you know that it's not on purpose.
The Flame Hashira loves history! The man likes to think that we can learn from the past so the next generations don't make the same mistakes as people living before them did.
Kyojuro is happy that you are seeing a therapist and always encourages you to go and meet them if there are things he can't help you with or if there are things you don't dare to share with him.
He just wants you to know that no matter what you do, he won't judge you. He knows what it's like to have your own inner Demons haunting you, so he tries to support you in slaying that inner Demon of yours!
Kyojuro has a little hearing problem so you may have to play your music a little harder for him to be able to fully hear it, but you don't mind since it's your favorite music. He will smile and nod quietly as he listens to the songs you like and then nods and exclaims, "You have good taste in music!"
He is also interested in the different series you might be watching. Kyojuro loves cartoons, like anime and Disney movies, but he can see the appeal in all the drama that happens behind the scenes.
The Flame Hashira will gladly help you to find and obtain copies of your childhood series and movies because those things hold the most memories and can act as a temporary portal back to your youth.
That, and he is also interested to see what shows you grew up watching. There must be something he likes also and wants to see with you!

The Demon likes you immediately. You're quiet and barely speak, but you are a good listener and once you get comfortable around him, you start to show your relaxed nature more and he enjoys that also. You're also very pretty.
Kyogai knows better than no one how it feels to be... Sad and judged. His writing and drum playing have always been criticized, but you are the first one to show him kindness.
With his obsession to become stronger and be worthy, it's up to you to go to him and tell him that he is perfect as he is. Maybe you could ask him if he would like to come to see your therapist with you? But he feels that he can trust his feelings and insecurities to you because you understand him.
Kyogai is a little old-fashioned so he doesn't necessarily understand your taste in music, but as he listens he learns that the music you listen to may reflect on you and he grows to like them because you do. He may try to copy some of your favorite songs with his drums. Sometimes he fails, but he does succeed also and all the work is worth it when he sees you smile.
He is eager to watch the cartoon and reality drama with you. The Demon likes the music in anime and Disney movies and how there is a happy ending to most of them. He hopes he can get his happy ending with you.

It was a pretty dismal day to be going to a theme park in all honesty. It had rained most of the morning, and the downpour had only let up about half an hour before you guys met up outside the park.
“It doesn’t look like it's going to rain again,” you said looking up. “But we can do something else if you don't wanna risk it?” The lilt in your voice conceding your slight nervousness. Rin shrugged, keeping his hands in his pockets.
“I’m not afraid of a little rain.”
The first hour or so of the date seemed promising, lines were pretty short due to the earlier deluge and the slightly slippery concrete around the park gave him an excuse to snake his arm around you to keep you from falling. After a long moment of silently panting and taking in the hammering of the rain on the windows you turned to each other and broke out laughing.
“You’re soaked,” he said, grabbing at your sleeve before letting it go.
“So are you!” you laughed, before leaning your head back on his headrest. “Well, what the fuck are we supposed to do now?” Rin stared out the window for a moment while he mulled over your question.
“Hm,” he began. “I’ve got something, let me know if it's not your thing though, ok?” You gave him a questioning look before nodding and before you knew it he was climbing into the backseat.
“Uh, listen this is our first date I dont think-” you started, looking at Rin in the rearview mirror. He turned to look at you.
“What?” he asked, brow furrowed and then very quickly, eyes widened. “Oh god, no no no! Sorry I should have explained. Shit, hang on.” He turned and opened the center console where a drinks holder was in between the back seats and reached his hand through to the trunk, pulling out a large baggy.
“You smoke?” he asked, with a hopeful and slightly mischievous grin. Your face broke into a similar expression.
“Hell fucking yes.”

Alright, this isn’t so bad- Riptide can handle Aron pretty easily. Water Gun time, baby!
Heck yeah. Well- not for Budew, both Aron and Zubat have been ganging up on it, very sad. Anyways, back to attacking-
Hm- Riptide’s not doing as much damage to Zubat as I’d like, not to mention he just got a level-up…so you know what? I’ll switch into Whiskers, she’s got Zen Headbutt anyways.
Speaking of switching, uh…
You know what? Sandile’s a much better matchup against the Zubat than Budew. In fact, it’s such a better matchup that Sandile ends up stealing Whiskers’ kill with Bite!
Eh…a victory is a victory I guess, and Whiskers gets the exp. points either way.
Oh- his Sandile’s Ability is Moxie? That’ll be good to remember in the future.

Alright, so, continuing on up here, we kinda turn these corners, and then…

Now, despite the fact that Ace told the Grunts to slow us down and we need to stop them from deleting all the data (I’m assuming), I…don’t think there’s an actual time constraint? Like, Fern didn’t say anything like “we need to get up there as soon as possible, we can’t waste time fighting everyone” or something, and there’s no indication of a legit time limit, so like…I don’t think there’s a penalty to fighting all the Grunts we come across.
In other words, despite the fact that we went around these two, we’re gonna beat them up anyways.
Alright, what have we here…I don’t think we have anything that’s specifically good against either of these, but Streak can still hold his own. And we can start that with Tail Whip, which will lower both Rattata and Lillipup’s Defenses at the same time!
This’ll be useful not just for Streak, but for Fern’s Sandile as well because uuuuuh…well, Budew got knocked out again. RIP, I guess.
So, neither Streak nor Sandile are super great against these two, but they’re still doing…something. I’m having Streak focus on Lillipup for the time being-
Which worked out very well! Now these two can just focus on the Rattata and win the battle, which also works out well enough- ignore Streak’s HP, he’s fine.
Can’t believe Xera and Fern are exterminators now- but given that was a bit of a running gag with a D&D campaign me and some friends did (lest we forget Slap Her Bald Head Sunday), I’m fine with carrying on the legacy in this playthrough.
And I was heading into the menu to check something, and I finally noticed something…
The party gets healed after every battle! I didn’t even notice that in the last few battles, but now that I do- great! That means I’ll have an easier time saving resources (namely those Potions) during this. My cheapskate arc in this game continues on apace!

Alright, you’ve activated a lot of pedantic drivel with this question, especially considering how rude your approach has been. Sorry in advance, I guess!
I’m going to keep it real with you, anon. Considering Kankri’s status of Celibacy was a shot at AroAce people, the first part of your message here does not read too well. I’ll definitely give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn’t realize this, because most people either don’t process it or simply ignore it, but I cannot in good faith leave that unmentioned.
To be honest, I think “shipping” is an incredibly- almost dangerously- vague term that means something different to literally everyone online, and it’s an especially vague term when we’re talking about Homestuck. It’s counterintuitive to ask a question as nebulous as this. I understand that I’m supposed to assume this is both Romantic and Sexual, but… I think it would really help if people maybe specified the dynamic they’re talking about when it comes to asking these kinds of questions?
I literally can’t make a blanket statement about this. Not only do I not care, but you can “ship” something in any way you can physically think of. It’s just a shortening of the term “relationship.” You can ship two characters as friends. You can ship two characters as lovers, sexually or non-sexually. You can ship two characters as exes or divorcees. You can ship two characters as friends with benefits with no strings attached. Hell, sometimes people will pair two characters that they know are horrible together because the matchup provides enough psychological intrigue to keep them invested. Sometimes people pair characters together because they find the toxicity of the dynamic to be uniquely enriching. Some people “ship” for fun, some people “ship” for comfort, some people “ship” for story.
I can’t make a blanket statement on something as broad as “Do you think shipping (random, entirely disconnected characters) is problematic,” especially when there’s barely any weight or context behind it, and double-especially when that sounds like such a bait question. I’m willing to respond to inquiries like this when there is a specific weight or context behind them- be it from personal, moral, and/or narrative perspective- but your questions don’t hold any of that. There’s nothing to pick apart, and there’s nothing to analyze, outside of the monologue I’m going off on now. You come across as simply asking me to make an accusation based on a nebulous statement that can be interpreted in so many ways it’s hard to find a place to start. I’m not saying that’s what you’re doing, because I literally do not and cannot know what your intentions are, that’s just my current field of perspective here.
I can safely say that I personally find the idea of pairing Kankri off with people Romantically and/or Sexually to be offputting, and it’s not something you’ll ever see me do on the basis of Kankri’s Celibacy being analogous to AroAcehood. I don’t see an issue in pairing him off with people in the way of Platonic Friendship, no matter how Healthy or Unhealthy it is. If someone else pairs Kankri with someone Romantically and/or Sexually, that’s their prerogative, not mine. It’s not block-worthy or anything for me on base concept- just something I look at, get kind of uncomfortable with, and then move on.
Things like Cronus/Mituna get such in-depth responses from me because they have a specific weight and context behind them, personally, morally, and narratively. Kankri- to our knowledge- never actually abused anyone. He’s a total shithead, and absolutely a bully at times, but we have legitimately no reason to assume he has ever outright abused anyone to the same severity as, for example, Cronus or Meenah. The worst things he has done in that regard is be a total creep to Latula, and severely ableist to Mituna. (Uncoincidentally, this is why I personally find Mituna/Kankri/Latula to be so deeply uncomfortable, especially given its popularity...)
To address your example: I don’t think he has particularly hurt Damara any more than he’s hurt any other Lowblooded, Disabled, Insecure, and/or Female Character, I don’t think he has been particularly creepy to her either. I have no true reason to have any personal vendetta against the vague idea of Kankri and Damara being romantically intertwined with each other, other than personal taste, and finding its base concept to be unrealistic, unfounded, and generally just kind of lame. It’s not my thing. I don’t care for it. I don’t personally see it. If I see it in the wild, then I’ll just keep scrolling like I didn’t see anything. What do you want from me.

I’m Tori, a 20 year old autistic girl (pronouns she/her) who would prefer a ship with a man. Also, I tend to prefer the humans in middle earth (so like Aragorn, Faramir, Boromir and Eomer) so if you could kindly ship me with one of them specifically I’d be very grateful.
I’m really short, only like 4’ 10” (142 cm) with wild, long and wavy auburn hair and really light blue eyes. I’m slender but very toned, and I also wear glasses. I'm pretty neutral about both my appearance and myself in general and I don't think I genuinely hate anything about myself. I'm generally neutral about most things actually, it takes a lot to make me mad and even then I'm good at controlling my emotions. I have chronic joint pain all over, scoliosis and some other illnesses but I stay very active regardless. I’m really polite and try my hardest to be nice to everyone, but if you cross me or give me a bad vibe I can be a little cold and aloof. I’m a tad awkward, but I’ve been told I can be charming and I’m really good at making others laugh with witty comments. I tell amazing stories because I've had a lot of experience with different things during my life. I’m very generous and don’t mind helping others or doing nice things for them. I’m also extremely energetic and always have to be doing something, to the point where I’m honestly not sure I really know how to rest. My friends say I give really good advice and am very wise, and also that I have warm, inviting energy. I could lowkey befriend anyone if I really tried. Though I'm also very sensitive and don't enjoy being teased too much, so I don't tease others either. I also hate seeing people, or really anything, upset.
Where I really shine is with my large number of hobbies and interests. Because I always like to keep busy, I have a lot of different activities and side gigs to keep me occupied. Gondorians are taller than average so he finds your short stature intriguing because the shorter end of their people are most likely taller than you. He's more reserved than awkward nor does sound to be a very humourous person so your relationship would bring jokes, wit and laughs that Faramir never knew he needed and Boromir makes a comment how his brother is starting to gain a good sense of humour. Your approachability and unwillingness to tease others also puts him at ease as he is the kind to avoid anyone that proves to be completely unapproachable, and has had a lot of experience with others berating him. He asks a lot about your hobbies and skills (especially befriending crows) not because he knows nothing about them but because he wanted to see and hear about it from your perspective. He shares all the hobbies you listed (except for falconry, befriending crows and caring for horses) and he would ask for permission to read your stories and even help you with it. I think he's into poetry and would share his own with you, and maybe some of them are even about you ;) I also can see him helping you with cooking and baking especially for a really big meal, and is genuinely interested in learning about gardening and identifying plants. Hey, it’s been awhile since I last did this, but I decided to go for as returning to Tumblr felt like a bit of a small nostalgia trip for me, so why not get back to one of my favourite MHA fan writers for old times sake and beside, a lot has changed since last time so why not….
Well anyways, as for the idea I’m going with, I am thinking of going with a remake version of my first Match-Up of an My Hero Academia and Genshin Impact Match-Up, if that is cool with you?
Things That Remained The Same: Of course, my name is still Mason, my zodiac sign is still a Taurus, as well as I still consider myself as He/Him and Straight, along with me having dark brown hair and brown eyes. I also still consider myself as a full blown nerd towards the things I am interested in, although now I am a mix of being a Marvel and DC fan as of currently, I’m still a fan of My Hero Academia though I left the fan base altogether because “MHA Fanbase being MHA Fanbase,” currently I’m looking for different shows that could peak my interest (Such as Zom 100 and maybe RWBY, although that’s because of one RWBY character I like and ticked that the writers killed her off kinda got me into the whole “I like this character, now I’m obsessed,” that being Penny Polendina.) I still do Graphics Designing although I mostly post on Deviantart rather than Tumblr lately, I still have trust and communication with my autism although thankfully it isn’t as bad now of days, as I am a bit more confident with my social skills but mostly towards the people I considered as friends. As of currently, those are all the things I would say that mostly remained the same, as while I get curious with different series and all that, the basic tropes I have such as being a Nerd who loves to do Graphics Designing remained the same. (Oh, and I’m also still doing the best person I can be, though now there are times when I questioned about the goal, but I still follow it as I believed it’s the right thing to do.)
Things That Changed: Alright, now we are getting to the nitty gritty on the things I considered to be pretty changed, I retook the MBTI Personality quiz and I ended up getting a mix of ISFP and ESFP due to the “E” and “I” being 50/50, and while I consider myself more as a ESFP lately, it could depend on my mood depending on the day. I unfortunately shrink down to being a 6’2, I’m planning on trying to get back to doing Voice Acting though I am planning on getting my main PC fixed before I pick up the prices for the plan, while I’m using my laptop to do the graphics designing while I’m waiting til I get the computer fixed up, as well as taking a similar path to trying to get back to writing. I’ve also been watching a lot of Instagram Reels just for laughs, as well as opening a new Instagram account for my graphics designing uploads, as well as moving to a new Photo Editing engine with more features that helped improve on the way I work on my Profiles and Thumbnails. I am also currently doing a bit more hard work to lose some weight, as someone I know personally ended up getting health issues and I didn’t wanna become like him, so I’m trying to be more active and trying to eat a bit more healthy, though it’s hard since I’m someone who likes food in general. And lastly, I am actually planning on growing out my hair to bring out more style to it, with a hairstyle similar to Diluc’s ponytail from Genshin Impact being my go to style if I reach to my satisfied length and width.
Overall, I think that is all the info I have for this one, this might be my biggest info dump I have ever given, as there are some that remained the same along with new things added and somethings changing in my life. I love his duel against Ryouga, it's very showing of his character and his impact, also love how they banter
His rematch duel with Yuma at the end of Part 1 is also really good, love to see him encounter his own uncertainty and let himself be inspired by Yuma
I love that he stares at the footage of Mizael in the monitors in his lab like a freak after their first duel
His duel with Shun in Arc V is always a rewatchable one

UH, the one I wanna say I'll wait for another ask that's currently in my inbox gjdsal
So here is another from the analysis from another take I saw awhile ago:
I also think one of the long forgotten truths of Zexal is Yuma rarely sees anyone as a true villain. There are a few exceptions to this of course, Don Thousand and Mr. Heartland both come to mind, but Yuma manages to find compassion in just about everyone he faces and uses dueling as a way to bridge the gap between him and them, even ones who arguably don’t deserve it like Faker, Tron, and… well, beloved mothman Vector.
If Kaito was ever supposed to look like a terrible person when he’s at the height of his crime spree, we would have seen that from Yuma’s perspective. Instead we see Yuma's fear, his intrigue, and ultimately, his motivation. Motivation to protect Astral from what’s to come, and then following the conclusion of the Kaito vs Zexal duel, motivation to help Kaito, and finally, the motivation to get to his level.
Instead of the same treatment we get for other unforgivable types, we get to see Kaito for what he is beneath the snark, the beatdown strategies, and the unconditional love for his brother: he's lonely, he's incredibly desperate, and he's dangerously selfless for those who are the most important to him, so much so he initially struggled to find his next purpose.
I'm also on record for considering Kaito the strongest of all of the rivals lmao
Favorite relationship:
Honestly all of them, family, ships, friends, I love how Kaito is written with others both in the shows(Zexal and Arc V both), the manga, and even Duel Links gives some of his lesser shown rivalries and connections more depth
Kaito and Ryouga's rivalry is proooobably my favorite though? Especially including Duel Links moments, they've got so much in common but just will not connect unless it's to show the other up, but you know it's game over when they can find a strong reason to remain on the same page
Also the card Photon Emperor exists, which is one, named very suspiciously, two, has a similar cape design to Nasch with the shoulder gems and the cape being attached by those pieces, and 3, very notably resurrects itself when it's sent to GY from hand, deck, or when it's detached as material from an XYZ
At the same time, I LOVE Kaito and Mizael's entire story too, both as a rivalry and a relationship, god they're so good and it's truly so hard to put into words how much I love their dynamic, the parallels, how they match each other's crazy, they have my longest ship playlist gjkldadas
For Arc V, I'm also a sucker for Kaito and Shun as well as Kaito and Edo
Shun went back for him and wasn't going to quit until he convinced him,,, and Edo and Kaito have such strong chemistry for no reason, it's not unwelcome at all--
they just threw men at him for some reason and I'm all for it
Favorite headcanon:
I ALWAYS write him as both touch repulsed and touch starved because he's almost never shown without his jacket during canon except for a handful of flashbacks and exactly that one examination scene, and even in the flashbacks, all you get is his forearms from his one collared shirt

Aaaa I love matchups, so I hope this is alright! Uh, if it isn't taken then maybe 🖍️ anon? I haven't seen anyone else use it (yet) oh yeah, Obey me is the fandom I'm currently in, so the matcbup would be for that! Thank you!
I guess I identify as non-binary? I don't care much for my own gender, so I mostly go by any and all pronouns (My friends call me gender evil as a joke. I'm not that short , roughly 5"2 (160 cm) I present mostly androgynous, but I have moments where I dress very feminine, as a treat. O don't know much about the personality stuff, other than I am a INTP, also a Capricorn - if that means anything ; v ; I have social anxiety, so I stay away from social events, but I usually manage fine in other situations or if I'm with someone I trust. Also I have piercings and dyed hair, I don't know, if that's needed but it's here!
I draw a lot (hence the 🖍️) and spend most of my time doodling and drawing for my own entertainment and for my friends. I also like to watch funky fact videos about random stuff, just for haha funny knowledge.
I see myself as funny, as I can laugh at my own jokes, and other people seem to like them too. Tho I consider myself a bit of a gremlin, with the whole being short , kinda rude and being a jester. I'm kinda absent minded, and mostly speak in memes since it's easy - as English is not my native language (this also makes me switch between languages a bit, the other language being Norwegian) my humor ranges from bad puns and dad jokes to dark humor. If it doesn't hurt anyone, I can laugh at it.
I guess that makes me kinda chaotic? But I do have moments of extreme calm, I study business - so im well versed with Excel and similar software, being serious is something I can easily switch to when needed, which can kinda put some people off.
I dont know the new ones yet so, I don't mind if matched but I wouldn't understand any of it. :v

Let's start with your serious side. It is canon that he is ridiculously good at math, and that he is also a chaos gremlin. I can totally see the two of you opening a successful side business until one of the brothers (probably Levi) find out and demand Mammon pay them back. But it will be fun while it lasts.
Draw him something sometime. He'll die. Especially if it's like a fan art of the two of you. It doesn't even have to be good, literally draw him two stick figures kissing with your names above them, it'll distract him for hours. He'll bury his face in his hands, leave the room to go squeal and roll around his bed.
He may not seem to be someone who would understand social anxiety, but he is really quite close to Levi. So he understands when it becomes too much for you. He'll literally wrap you up, arms tight around you, his head on top of yours, looking like a puppy, and steer you away from anxious situations. But he really hopes he can be your person, so that you guys can steal food from parties together.
He doesn't really care what you watch as long as you let him cuddle with you while you do it. That said....fun fact videos give him some delightful scheme ideas, and funny videos make him laugh, so I think you'll never have to fight about what to watch.
Mammon has been giving you the details of his latest scheme for the past two hours. He'd charged you with taking down notes as he spoke. Being the good secretary you were....you zoned out a half hour in and started sketching Mammon.
"Kay, watcha got so far?" He said abruptly. You looked down at your paper, then up again, and started subconsciously fiddling with an earring.
"Um," you started, looking at the half hour of notes you took at the beginning. "Basically, we are starting a human world pizza chain in the Devildom, that covers up an underground gambling ring."
"yeah!" He said grinning happily. "What else have I said so far?"
"Um...." You decided to just hand him the sketch you'd been working on. Rip the band aid off.
He immediately turned red, and covered his face with his hands.
"Mams?" You asked. No matter how many times he did this, it still concerned you.
"The Great Mammon will return presently, I just gotta go do somethin'," he left the room, and you heard a delighted giggle and squeal sound that you thought only Asmo was capable of.
Guess he liked it.
